Bought my Samsung washer on 11/2012. We had several service calls done before the warranty was even up. Then we started having the tank lose control when spinning. This would be on 5 tshirts not just bedding. I would have a load and then remove half of it just to get the tank to spin without erroring out. But it then got worse and I couldn't even use it anymore. It sounded like it was going to explode. So this year I went and bought a new set of Whirlpool washer and dryer (my only other set I've ever had was Whirlpool and lasted me 14 years). So I'm out another $1400.00 for a new set. We did have our other set repaired when the recall came out and my sister was trying to use it but the repair just put brackets on to hold the lid on so it doesn't blow off. The spinning still shakes the whole washer and now I have a set of machines taking up space in my garage that I can't do anything with. Thank you for your time.

Samsung has cheated me with their recall. My promised large capacity machine that would do bedding is now unusable for that purpose. Recall work does not restore these machines to their original performance level and all bedding must now be washed on delicate. No one would buy a machine that would only do bedding on delicate. Samsung is trying to make it appear they are doing right with their recall but they are cheating consumers. I now have a useless machine that has potential to still explode despite recall work.

I own a Samsung front loader washing machine. The machine spins violently and travels during the spin. I purchased this product at Lowe's and when I tried to return it I was told that it would not be possible as the time had expired for the return. They came out and put pads under the feet but this does not stop the violent spins even on low. I am very dissatisfied with this product and will not ever purchase this brand again.

I am appalled at the service I received about having this washing machine replaced. This product isn't worth the money I wasted on purchasing it. The machine takes forever to wash and it doesn't clean well and it sometimes have to restarted several times before the cycle can be completed. I want the product replaced because this is not what I signed up for when I purchased this product.

A 2012 model of this Samsung WA48H7400AP washing machine came with a house we purchased. In the fall of 2016 the machine spewed water all over our basement. After doing some research I realized having it repaired was pointless and the reviews of the customer service Samsung provides were enough to make me stay away from the brand when buying a replacement. I purchased a new machine from Whirlpool and when the rebate option was announced I sent it a request. On 2/4/17 I received a $31 check. Samsung you have lost my business forever.

In July 2016 we bought the Samsung top-loading washer, model WA45H7000AW. This washer does not fill enough water to wash the clothes. With a Normal load, it fills to less than 3, or sometime 4, inches. This is not enough to rinse out the dirt. The dirt is loosened by agitation, but then it collects in the folds of the clothes and does not get rinsed away -- because there is not enough water to rinse the dirt away. The service guy told us that this is how the washer was designed -- to save water. But it saves too much water! The guy also told us how to force the machine to add more water. (There is no manual control for water level.) But then the washer fills to the top, wasting lots and lots of water!

Dish network repaired the lid which is not attached secure. The washer has vibration issues and cannot complete a load. I have contacted Samsung through website and calls. I cannot get this washer repaired. This is a $600 hunk of junk. No one should purchase a Samsung washer. I have read the reviews and Samsung is not fixing these washers. I will never have another one of their products in my home including their phones that they literally screwed people over on.

I bought a Samsung thinking it would be an investment for my family. Something that would last and do a great job. And now I have a product that is unsafe and destroying people's laundry rooms. Samsung should give us back all the money we spent on this recalled machine. It's not our fault they keep building faulty products. I will never purchase another Samsung product again. I have spent way too many hours of my life dealing with this. Phone call after phone call to a company that really doesn't care. We need a voice... we just want them to make it right. My washer was brand new... I have only had it a little over a year. It's wrong.

Purchased Samsung washer (recall) and dryer (defective) only 3 months old. Samsung has provided horrible customer service for both. Neither of which are working and they were purchased 9/13/2016. I have spent 20 plus hrs on phone with Samsung. Promised return calls that never received and repair services. Again neither units are working.

Our very expensive Samsung washer has been a lemon since day one. It becomes unbalanced constantly. Started rusting at 6 months and now has a recall which Samsung is not doing much about. We now have to wash most things on delicate, no or low spin. Samsung needs to step up! I need a new washer but can't afford one nor should I have to. Samsung should provide full rebates.

Samsung has too many recalls. I would not have selected one had I known almost 3 million recalled. Mine had worked but appeared later in recall. I am getting another replacement and find that model is on recall but the serial number determines if recalled. Appearance is very nice and they have deep tubs if a person is under 5' 4, my guess. Shall see how my new one does over time. Read some repairs have not fixed problems and if you cannot use a feature like bedding why pay for all this. Don't like delicate is 36 mins and no way to reduce washing time on the model. Cycles take too long like 120 mins to wash one load. Might like the agitator I had on my old Kenmore washer. Energy efficiency is not time efficiency.

I cannot begin to describe how disappointed and dissatisfied my husband and I are with Samsung. We first received news of the recall from Samsung of our Top Loading Washer yesterday, Feb. 2nd. Somehow, we were unaware of this recall in the news until learning of it by mail. We are senior citizens, own our home and take pride that we keep it updated and in beautiful condition. We thought we purchased wisely (in 2013) when (after many days of studying reviews, etc) we bought the combination Samsung washer/dryer including an extended warranty.
Our household includes a small dog and cat which means frequent washing of all throws, blankets, comforters, etc. If I use the so-called "repair option" which is NOT a repair, I must use a "delicate cycle" for my bedding. This is not acceptable - to me my wash machine has now been rendered unusable! If I use the replacement option, I am allowed at this time only $45 towards the purchase of a new washer. ($145 if a Samsung). This too is not acceptable. A call to Samsung meant more frustration as I was told this was the only offer I would receive for a machine "of this age". We will never purchase another Samsung product again!

My machines have worked ok while I have owned them. The dryer needed a heating element after a year. Now my washer is recalled. At first I thought, "Oh, no big deal. Recalls mean it will be fixed properly to address the problem or they will give us a fair amount to replace it." Well, this is not the case. They will reinforce the top so that when the machine blows apart inside, the top hopefully won't fly off. Or they will give me a whoppin $195 REBATE, 4- 6 weeks AFTER I buy a new machine. Now, we don't normally spend $2,000 on things but we did for our washer and dryer set because we wanted it to last us 10 years. But here we are, almost 4 years in and we are stuck paying for a new one (NOT SAMSUNG THIS TIME!).

Recall process: Samsung washer purchased mid 2015 with 10 year warranty. Complaints sent to Samsung regarding water level, spin cycle and overall disappointment with unit. Recall notice in December 2016, waited over a month for paperwork via postal mail. Received SAME RECALL INFORMATION four weeks later without appropriate forms. Called customer service and recall center three times, finally asked to have forms emailed or faxed. Received within minutes. Waiting months for partial refund is a hardship for many. This could have been handled more professionally by Samsung. Note: As a mechanical engineer, changing a label and adding more parts does not address the original problem. Recommend class action suit by retailers and customers for full refunds.

The massive washer used to close the porthole leaks, so much, it leaks onto the floor. I called Samsung, they were so rude that I don't even have words for it. They said that all of their washers do that and it is no problem. I have to dry the whole washer after every load and dry the floor from the dripping then I have to leave the door to the washer open just so I don't get mold. It's been this way since purchase in Oct. 2016. I just started this repair type of progress because I have been so busy. Needless to say, I would never buy any thing Samsung. Their products are POS!

My Samsung washer WA456DRHDSU/AA is 2 yrs old. It has had 2 recalls. Recall one was for the drain pump going out. I had to pay 100.00 to replace and relocate it. Recall two is for the possibility of it exploding. The top will break away from the base causing damage to unit, person and other property. I have lost faith in Samsung appliances. Their fix is a sticker to remind me to use the delicate cycle when washing bedding. I bought that unit to handle large loads and bedding. I refuse to buy another samsung appliance. Bought our Samsung set from Sears two years ago... first time owning a matching pair. Had faith in my washer until the recall came out and it affected my machine. Took many phone calls between Sears and Samsung before a serviceman came to repair... Said it was NOT a repair but a safety fix and that my bedding now could only be done on "delicates". I purchased this machine in particular to do heavy loads and after the "fix" was told that the machine could not handle the weight. Feeling very duped and cannot afford a new machine. Had to settle for the "fix". Each time I use the washer, I think, "Is this the day it will fall apart?"

If there is ever a Class Action Suit against Samsung, please include me. I bought a Samsung Washer/Dryer combo. August 2016. I heard washer making noise, but thought ok did not balance the clothes correctly. It was lucky my granddaughter recorded World News, to find out about the recall. As others thought no it can't be mine, and it was. People spent a lot of money with extended warranty thinking Samsung was a good name, and to have us all buy another first and then send a rebate was not right. I did not have the money for a new washer, most people do not, but since we moved long distance, money for damages received I used money from that. A rebate check should have been sent, not buying a new one yourself, then waiting 4, 6, weeks or longer for rebate.
Let me tell you of my experience. I purchased a LG instead which was on sale, a week would be here. Salesperson called, 2 machines that came in damaged, "we will get another to you following week." Well, machine damaged again and on back order until the end of February, but come to store, honor the sale price, pick out another one any price. I thought Whirlpool Cabrio, my luck, also on back order til then. But 1 Samsung available.
Next day delivery hooked up machine, tech turned on and made an awful noise. Nothing inside. Tried several times to operate it, and sounded like a big piece of metal hitting the sides. My recall machine was gone, new one left here, another would be ordered. Loads of laundry to do, I called Lowes. Spoke to the Manager on Monday, and asked for a loaner, which was delivered next day. The middle of the month, of December was in the warehouse, did not deliver until Christmas Eve. Yes it worked, but would I never buy Samsung again, definitely NOT! My dryer made noises the end of December. Thought oh no, this can't be happening. Geek Squad ordered a belt and a pulley. Sure enough the pulley was not working and replaced the belt also.
I asked Samsung is there a problem with dryers also, and the rep said not that they are aware of. New machines from Samsung are junk, very disappointed. The rebate Samsung said is $637. If you buy a Samsung. Up to $150 loyalty. Well, I'm getting only $494 rebate, which did not include the new hoses. Where is the money they said would give you? Money lost by so many people, and lucky most of us, did not get severely injured as some did. Never again with Samsung, and need a Class Action Lawsuit started.

I bought a new Samsung Automatic Clothes Washer from Home Depot in London, Ontario on May 13, 2016. It is a Front loader, supposed to be a Great Model but do not like it as after I have washed the clothes I find they have a Stale Smell. I have tried contacting Samsung to which they finally told me I needed to contact Home Depot about this issue. However when I tried by phone I waited listening to a lot of Music only to being cut off. Twice that incident happened. I was not very pleased to say the least. I believe the reason for the improper cleansing is due to the Front loader just Bouncing the clothes from A to Z instead of the Top Loader Agitating the clothes therefore really cleaning. I have been using Washing Machines for many years & this is the first one I've ever had a Complaint about. Is there any way to Resolve this issue? Please let me know. Thank You.

For two months I tried to deal with my top load washer recall. I had issues with my washer from the day it arrived in my home. I never knew how long a cycle would take... the longest was when washing 6 average bath towels. After 2 hours and 56 minutes with several rinse and spin cycles the washer was supposedly done but when I opened it the towels were still soaking wet. I manually put it on the spin cycle to get the water out. Total time 3 hours 11 minutes. My towels always smell terrible despite using Downy fabric softener. There are scum stains on my clothes that can't be removed. And then there is the violent shaking. I could go on and on.
I have tried dealing with Samsung customer relations and for all the reasons listed on this site I decided to not wait for the class action suit which can take years. I am currently suing Samsung in civil court. It is the only way to get their attention which you can bet I now have. They are refusing to give me the full refund I deserve but I am sure a judge will see it my way. I have an arbitration hearing in early March and if they don't agree to my claim it will be on to the courtroom. I encourage everyone on this site to sue Samsung in civil court. Overwhelm them with legal costs until they are as bankrupt financially as they are morally.

Purchased the Samsung top loader washer and dryer. Machine never worked correctly from the beginning. Called within months of having the machines and the technician said he found no issues, yet we ended up with a recall. No issues, eh? Even better, the repair folks who came to fix the recall problem were from Dish Network! Yes, the satellite TV company. Sure enough after the fix they tried selling me Dish Network TV. Well now they have supposedly fixed the issue yet I can not wash my bedding properly. The setting for bedding spins on low! The bedding comes out soaking wet, too soaking for the dryer. Then I try to use the "SPIN" option yet the machine then fills up with water yet again then spins not making the situation any better. UGHHH Never again SAMSUNG! Never again. It sucks that those of us who have bought these machines spent over $600.00 and we have no recourse. This is so wrong in so many ways.

Safety Recall. Purchased a new set July 2015 with pending move and retirement 12/31/2015. Top of the line. Hoped to retire debt and worry free. Nov 4, 2016 - Learned of recall on TV (noteworthy - no notification from retailer or Samsung). Nov 5, 2016 - registered recalled washer on the Samsung recall website; opted for the rebate. Nov 15, 2016 - New washer (same model) delivered from SAMSUNG warehouse only to discover after the drivers took the 'old' one and set up the new one that it too was a recalled machine SOLD AFTER THE RECALL. Samsung escalation manager said I was entitled to the full rebate with the 2nd washer because no other comparable washer was available within my area. He agree to 'fix' the 2nd one and set up a repair appointment.
11/23/2016 A DISH satellite repairman came to repair the washer. The repair was NOT a true repair, but simply a fix to secure the lid, preventing it from becoming a missile. Since the 'repair' the machine's cycles are all out of sync, especially the rinse/spin cycle which will repeat. Loads easily become unbalanced when in fact the load is evenly distributed. I have called Samsung over 20 times and the story changes each time. I have not received one penny of my refund for the 1st or the 2nd washer. They have responded to my recent BBB complaint but apparently do not read the content of the complaint or most likely, do not care.
Refunds - 0 dollars since submitting 1st paperwork 11/18/2016; 0 dollars for the 2nd one submitted 01/09/2017. As of Friday, they are claiming that since I accepted the fix, it voids the rebate. That would be understandable IF THE FIX truly fixed the washer. A repair should enable the user to use the machine as it was intended at the time of sale. Not by changing the cycles and securing the lid. There is a pattern emerging with the 'fixes' now with other users and Samsung should be held accountable.
Oh, and they threw in an incentive to buy another Samsung with a 'bonus' of $150, if you purchased another Samsung, only it seems it's not a bonus at all, they simply deduct the amount of your rebate. Pay everyone what is owed to them Samsung. You put people at risk. You told people they could have an in-home REPAIR. Reimburse people for new washers; you owe it to your customers.

I purchased 5 appliances back in 2011 and within 3 yes our Samsung washer started acting up. The drum would shake uncontrollably and showing DC error codes, etc. Our washer also had rust around the top as I have read so many other people did too. We called Best Buy and they told us our warranty had expired and that emailed us giving us the option to extend our warranty but never heard back. Knowing we never gave them an email because at the time I didn't even have one, I asked them "what email?" Here the email address they had was invalid and just apologized when they realized it and said there was nothing they could do now!!! I couldn't believe 1000s of dollars worth of appliances were now no longer under warranty because they emailed an invalid email address that we never even gave them.
Anyway when Best Buy wouldn't help us we called Samsung, of course they said we had to go through Best Buy and basically could have cared less that our 2 and a half yr old Samsung washer was shaking so bad that we were afraid to use it because we felt it could potentially explode. Between the drum shaking so bad and the error codes, we eventually stopped using it all together and started going to the laundry mat until finally 5 months ago bit the bullet and bought a new washer because we were left with no choice. Kicker, I received the packet from Samsung last week about the recall and now we do not have the serial number because we had that piece of junk taken away when our new washer was delivered.
I called Best Buy and Samsung today and conveniently not only do they not have us on file calling and flipping out about the washer, SHOCKER, why would they? They can't give us a serial number, only a model # which is listed on the recall, so we are just beat. Not only for 1000 that we paid for that washer, but for the 700 we just paid for the new one that now can't get a rebate for.
I'm wondering how many other people had to go out and buy a new washer because of how bad their washer was and are now not eligible for the rebate!? What a scam. We purchased ours in 2011, what were we supposed to do wait for it to explode? No, of course people who bought their washers back then more than likely no longer have it because it shook so badly and showed so many error codes you had no choice but to buy a new one. SAMSUNG BUYER BEWARE. They are making out by waiting this long to finally call a recall because I'm sure many people, like us already got rid of. I would love to start a class action lawsuit against them for the scam artists that they are.

Samsung Washer Recall Debacle. Neither option offered is satisfactory!!! I registered my washer in Oct 2016. I received an e-mail in Dec with option to have it fixed or a rebate of $495 for the purchase of a new Samsung washer. The repair option is not acceptable based on reviews we have read stating that it does not address the real problem. We thought the rebate was reasonable for our 3 yr old machine but soon found that there are no similar machines in the gray color (to match our dryer) available in Canada (only in the US). We put our search on hold, had X-mas, went on vacation and in Jan found that our rebate offer had dropped to $324. The rebate decreased 35% while we shopped around and considered the rebate option, unbelievable.
Calling Samsung Service was both frustrating and futile. Of course there is someone at Samsung who would have the authority to satisfy the situation but they say there is nobody who can help me and would not even refer me to someone with authority to lodge a complaint. This is not a case of not being able to satisfy a customer but rather a case of not willing to satisfy a customer. Needless to say we will not be buying a new Samsung anything again.

I purchased this washer from my local Home Depot store in March 2016. First, Samsung doesn't impress me by stating that they only allow certified technicians to represent their products. The "certified delivery/installers" with Kid Glove Installation in Indianapolis, IN installed steel reinforced water line hoses which were in violation of the manufacturers guidelines to only use rubber hoses which would not restrict the water flow to the spot wash basin's water supply.
It was first assessed that the unit was defective and we were without use of our washer for over 2 weeks since that delivery. The same problem with the replacement unit was diagnosed when someone at my house with appliance repair experience stated it was because of the hoses that Kid Glove used. One would think a certified Samsung technician would have known this. It was over a month before Home Depot stepped up to take the lead and replace them. Again, not impressed with Samsung standing behind their "certified contractors".
Second, It is not January 2017 and I have a letter telling me there is a defect in my machine which I need to contact Samsung to determine which one of the two options they have for fixing the problem. One is to let one of two "certified Samsung repair companies" to repair the unit. One of the companies is Installs, Inc. who does not specialize in appliance repair and they personally told me they could not assure me that anyone who would come to my home would have any appliance experience with Samsung appliances or even appliances in general beyond receiving my specific "Recall Repair Training" which consists on them getting a sheet with diagrams that I could read and perform and feel just as confident about them being done without possibly having caused an inadvertent damage to surrounding parts just due to ignorance with working on appliance units with large amounts of computer components.
The other company I had to choose from was Dish Network. Last I remember, Dish Network wasn't an appliance company. In fact, I worked for ten years for a "Dish Network" company which was in fact a contractor who was authorized and certified in name only, not in practice. The training for repairs even on satellite equipment consisted of a few sheets of paper with diagrams showing how to do the repairs and the repair parts needed. SO, I am very nervous about letting either of these certified repair companies touch my machine.
The other option is to return the washer. Keep in mind I paid 899.00 for this unit and have not even owned it for a year. Samsung asked my model number and serial number, I told them how much I paid and when I paid for it. I excluding to mention to them the amount of time I was without the use of my new machine(s) because of their "authorized Samsung installers". They then informed me that they would give me a rebate in the amount of only $674.00 if I purchased another Samsung washing product and only $580.00 if it was not a Samsung brand. I have not owned this unit for even a year! This is truly fraud on the part of Samsung to make a product that would conservatively sell for $ 899.00 and not reimburse me more than $ 674.00.
Consumer reports quoted Samsung regarding the average lifespan of their appliances by stating, Samsung. "We design all our products to strict standards expecting a minimum 10 years under normal consumer use conditions", says Dean **, director of laundry product marketing. Using that calculation, I should be receiving an offer to reimburse me $800.00. That doesn't include the sales tax I am out or the extended warranty that I purchased through Home Depot that hasn't even gone into effect yet.
What a crappy company Samsung. You know, I don't usual get hung up on branding when I am selecting consumer products, but I can well assure I will make sure that ANY future purchases will NEVER be Samsung products. I will also take EVERY opportunity to share my experience with family, friends, and strangers at a store looking a Samsung products. I want to make sure they know what kind of security they can expect with any Samsung brand warranty. I have a receipt that I can verify purchase, but am unable to scan it to this review. I would be happy to mail a hard copy to anyone who would like to challenge validity of my review.

Furthermore why should I have to pay for a delivery fee again when indeed it was their product that failed. Franchesca then said she would bring it up to corporate management again but if I didn't hear back that means there is no change on their decision. I have never had an experience like this and I'm pretty frustrated. I hope that they get back to me so that I'm not left with this bad feeling about them. I purchased the set so they would only give me a rebate on the washer. I truly believe in customer service but truly this isn't how you treat customers.

I purchased the top load Samsung washing machine in September 2016 (#WA50K8600AV/A2) along with the matching dryer, from Home Depot. I was notified about the recall and decided to get the washing machine replaced. Despite the amount of money I have spent purchasing the washer and dryer, in addition to all the other Samsung products I've owned in the past, Samsung is refusing to replace my dryer as well. I compare this to a pair of shoes where the left shoe is defective but the right one works. The company just replaces my left shoe with a different model leaving me with mis-matched shoes. This concept is absolutely asinine.
I called the company in an attempt to understand where they were coming from, with the representative simply forwarding me to the "Executive Customer Relations" department who is supposed to call you within "24-48 business hours." Four days later, I still haven't received a call and was forced to call them again. This simple explanation was, "sorry, please keep waiting for them to call you." Regardless though, the representative assured me that they will not do anything to help replace my brand new dryer, only the washer which from what I hear can take a substantial amount of time. I have to pay out-of-pocket over $800 to buy a new washer, then send in proof of the purchase and they can reimburse me within 8 weeks.
I told them that not everyone can just dish out $800 on the drop of a hat to which the representative stated that I needed to "save up money then" in order to get it done before the recall expires. HORRIBLE customer service. I will never buy another Samsung product again. I was literally about to go and buy the newer 65 inch Samsung SUHD TV, but now I am going to go with LG instead just on principle.

In December 2016 I phoned Samsung for the recall on my washing machine which by the way was working fine. A DISH Cable guy comes out to do the recall on 1/3/2017. He was here 2 minutes. I went to use my washing machine and the machine would not drain or spin. It has been a NIGHTMARE!!! This is 1/25/2017 and my machine is still not working. I have not washed in almost a month. I probably talked to 20 or more different people over the last 3 weeks in Executive Customer relations, Escalation department, faxed my original receipt of purchase from Lowe's to Samsung etc. I was told they would give me a rebate of some kind. What I've gone through wasn't worth it. The repair guy came out 3 different times changed drain pump, mother board, dampers etc. My machine does not spin the clothes dry. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at Samsung.
Samsung gave me no choice after 3 weeks of no clean clothes. Last Friday I went to Lowe's and bought a washing machine to be delivered on Friday 1/27. I was told on Monday 1/3 that Samsung would send a REAL SAMSUNG repair person to come out by Thursday to check the Samsung washing machine due it not being repairable. Samsung phones me today and gives me the new repair company phone # which is 3 hours away from where I live and they can't come out for another 10-12 days. I phone Samsung back and explained they basically said it's not Samsung's problem.
Is that just and acceptable for me to wait another 10-12 days for a tech to come out for what I've been through already when I find out that the Cable guy pulled out some wires which initially broke the machine? I don't think so. I bought a new machine is that not saying, my old machine is not working and Samsung can't fix it when they broke it... In 2 days I will be back to washing again.

Like so many here, we bought a Samsung washing machine in the last year. We had problems with the loads becoming off balance, so when the recall notice came out we responded. The offer of a recall would have left us needing to pay $300 out of pocket to replace the unit, and since this was just a year old we didn't want to pay even more money, so we signed up for the "repair". It's NOT a repair! They send a sticker and tell you to wash your sheets on delicate. They still get off balance, but at least the machine shouldn't fall apart. Someone came out to do the "repair", which was just to add brackets to the top of the machine. We still have to wash on delicate! It still got off balance! But at least the top wasn't supposed to fly off.
About 2 days later the machine stopped working. It would stop at the start, in the middle, or at the end of a cycle, sometimes displaying a PE error code. It got worse and worse until finally it just quit working. Called Samsung, they gave me a huge runaround about not being in warranty. I provided the original sales receipt, PLUS the email from them showing that we had an additional 1 year extension because of the recall. That took several phone calls with hours on hold. Then it took a week to find a service center. I kept calling. They finally said there's no one in my area that can repair it. We could get a refund or a replacement. We had to wait for someone to call. I kept calling.
TEN DAYS later still couldn't reach anyone. They kept telling me it was in process. I finally got through to someone today, who said it would be another 5 days before someone contacted me. We are now 2 weeks without a machine. I demanded to speak to someone. They promised a return call in an hour. I called them after 2 hours. They gave another 200 excuses and lies---no sign of receipt, not in warranty, they already emailed me, it's not possible to blah blah blah. Then they said it would be another 7 business days before someone would contact me for a replacement.
At that point I realized that I would be an idiot to get another Samsung washing machine and asked for the refund. They said it would be another 7 business days for someone to contact me about a refund. They just lie and lie and lie. They are cheats and thieves preying on people who don't have the money to buy a new machine, or the time to call and argue with them. They sell bad products with no service support and no intention of standing behind them. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS!!!

I hesitated to buy another Samsung washer but $272 is not enough to purchase a decent washer of any kind. So, I purchased another Samsung washer, same model that was on recall list. I filled out paperwork, registered my new washer on Samsung website and sent my proof to Samsung. I received my rebate expecting $372 but was shock to see the check only amounted to $341. Naturally I contacted customer service who indicated "tax" was not going to be paid. Samsung promised $372 regardless of what the washer cost. I am highly annoyed.

After I mailed rebate form and all related documents and pictures, I received the check of $545 2 days ago. I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased my old washer in 2016. My rebate will be $545 so I opted to exchange for a new same model top load washer. I bought at Home Depot and the delivery company came 2 days ago to deliver the new washer and haul away the old washer. I started to prepare the rebate form and was surprised to find that I need to peel off 2 labels from the old washer to attach to the rebate form. I contacted Samsung and the delivery company early today. I was told by the delivery company that the washer has been disposed already (hard to believe) and they can't provide dispose form with model and serial number. I happen to have the picture of the 2 labels from my old washer. But the Samsung rep told me that the pictures must contain the whole washer, can't be just the labels. What a rip-off!

He broke the machine and I contacted Samsung who promised to have a technician repair.
Now, I receive DAILY calls from Samsung, kept on hold for a minimum of 15 minutes and then told that they want to schedule to put on the part (??) or I can get a rebate (?). When I recite the email sent from them where they promised to repair, they state they are going to "escalate my call" and I will receive another call within 24-48 hours and then... it starts all over again! The one I replaced, which was a Whirlpool, was about 27 years old and worked better than this. It has all the bells and whistles, it just does not clean well. I use so much stain remover product, use the heavy stain option, which is a 2 hr cycle, and the clothes still have stains on them. After the 2nd or 3rd wash, the stains might come out, but not always. I know I should have reported this within the year, but I figured it was something I was doing wrong. I have tried more detergent, less detergent, presoak and every stain remover known to man. It is just a lousy machine. Has anyone else had this problem. If I could afford a new washer, this would be put out with the trash. Very disappointing for such a good brand.

If there was a place to note no stars, you, Samsung would have it from me. After purchasing a washer and dryer from Samsung we were promised we had just purchased two fine products. And with the Washer and Dryer being energy efficient they would pay for their self in no time. Not true. For me, at least, they have used more water, more electricity, more service calls, more detergent, more fabric softener, more time, more money and more tears. Resulting in a flat out lie from Samsung that they are energy efficient. Possibly a mass lawsuit should follow for those of us who purchased these poor excuse for washers. After all it should be reason enough, and this was one of the main reasons for purchasing the washer & dryer. I only have one reason that I do not care for the dryer. It is made of aluminum foil. It dries ok most of the time.
Once I dropped a sock behind it and leaned over the dryer to pick up the sock, I got more than the sock, I came up with a huge dent in the top of the dryer. I have since received several other dents. At least the dents match. Yes I leaned on it a little, but come on. Ok, it seems I have gotten off the subject in hand here. After all I am talking about the Junky Washers from Samsung and not their junky child made Dryers. After all this misrepresentation they have the balls to put us between a rock and a hard place. This is for those of us that have the washer on recall. Why you ask, is because they offer us very little back in the recall. Not near enough to purchase another machine just like we thought we had bought. OR they say we can stay with the washer and receive another year warranty.
The warranty will definitely be needed if you keep the washer, but not nearly enough for the repairs you will be needing if you need to keep the washer for any length of time. And be prepared, if your experience is anything like mine, you will have to call over and over about the same problem. This my friend gets old fast. In short, if you don't have a Samsung, stay away. I for one will. After all, nobody needs an extra thorn in their side. What would I like to see, I would like to see Samsung do the right thing. They said it was out of warranty. When I told them I called before it was out of warranty they said it was in warranty. They first told me they were going to fix it. Someone called me while I was in court on a Friday Jan. 6 to set up a repair. But first I would have to have a professional installer come out and dismantle it because it was stuck. I told them I couldn't get that done because I was in court and would have to call them back. They said call back Monday Jan, 9. I did and they said they cancelled the ticket because it was over 3 days old.
Jan, 9 I called Samsung back and told them to get someone else to repair it. They gave me another number to call and set up the repair. These people were in Utah. I am in Georgia. They said they couldn't repair it because it was out of warranty. Many calls back to Samsung, again sending receipt, and Samsung said January 11 that they would refund or replace but I had to send the receipt again. I sent it and Jan 12 they said they would refund me the money. I called again yesterday, Jan. 16 and spoke to the ECR (Executive Customer Relations) and they said they would call me back. I called support today and they said another 24-48 hours. The girl got snooty and said they don't have to call back for five days. Every time I talk to them it is another 24-48 hours before they will get back to me.
In the meantime I had someone come out and unstuck the washer and dryer and they are now sitting out in the middle of the hall. FINALLY GOT A CALL FROM ECR. THEY ASKED ME SEND MY RECEIPT. THIS IS THE 5TH TIME I HAVE SENT IT. I want a refund for both the washer & dryer and to get a different brand. I am an attorney and I am considering associating class action law firm.

My Samsung top loader washer was recalled due to the fact the top lids were popping off during spin cycles. Dangerous for sure, BUT I'm very unhappy with the customer solution to this problem! They offered someone to come out and make sure it was secure and do a few things OR a rebate of about 400.00 BUT you must purchase another washer, which mine was $999.99 and 2 years old. So I would have to add another $600.00 to replace this washer after 2 years and only get 400 bucks for it! That is really insulting if you ask me, So decided to keep my old one and have a technician out to fix it to make it safe.
So let me tell you how that went, HORRIBLE. Can you believe they contracted this job out with a DISH network cable guy?! He came 4 hours late and then stuck some stickers on my old stickers to change some settings that we push. What he did with the lid I have NO clue. I don't think anything. WORST thing was he never secured my hoses, when finished they were tied down and secured so when the water drains into the slop sinks. So needless to say, once the washer drained I had a basement floor full of water and everything on the floor soaked! 72 hours later, still waiting for a call back from Samsung to let them know the CABLE guy didn't fix it! I am currently not very happy about the way Samsung has handled the washer rebates. First of all, you have to pay out of your own pocket for the new washer until the rebate arrives. So needless to say I am paying for 2 washers on my charge account. My main complaint about Samsung is the people they have answering the incoming rebate phone calls. Not trained very well.
I called them before I even went and made another washer purchase. I was looking into replacing my original top loader and getting the front loader, so I called to see if the rebate would pay for the pedestal. The person that answered the phone put me on hold, got back on the phone and said that Samsung would cover it as long as the total amount did not go over the rebate amount. So, I made the purchase. The amount was less than the allowed rebate so I figured I was in good shape. When I finally got my rebate check, they only paid for the washer. So I am out $200. Plus $54.00 sales tax. I called to complain, but they said there's nothing they can do. I even received a call from their customer service dept. head who apologized for the incident. If they would of just come right out and told me that the pedestal was not covered, I could of purchased a more expensive washer. I was really cheated on this deal!

I bought a Samsung washer. We all know they're not cheap (dollarwise) but this machine has never worked right. Clothes didn't get clean. Takes over an hour to wash a load of clothes. The washer will not spin out so it's worthless even though it has a 10 year warranty. The warranty however isn't worth much if Samsung will not address the problem. 3 months and I'm still waiting on a service guy to come look at this machine. The laundromat knows me by name. I wouldn't tell anybody what to do if they are in a similar situation but here is what I'm going to do. In the morning I'm going to go buy another washer. I'm going to put this Samsung washer on the back of my pick-up and have a HUGE sign that reads. "Samsung washers are junk." I'm going to leave this washer and HUGE sign telling my experience with Samsung for the next month or two and drive everywhere.
It's not going to get my money back but I might give people a heads up on what they can expect when buying a Samsung washer. I won't put anything on the sign that isn't true and I hope I cost them $1.000.000 in sales. They can't sue me because everything will be 100 truth. For those people with the same problem with Samsung you might want to do something of a similar nature. Maybe we might get their attention being they won't talk to us on the phone or show up to fix their junk washers. One last note. Offering a person 10 cents on the dollar, and they want to sell you another washer to boot is way past an insult. My washer is on the recall list so I know I'm not alone with this problem.

Called and shared with them that due to this issue, and several repairs, we had to junk the washing machine 4 months ago because they don't make the part to fix the drum breaking due to violent shaking of the machine (reason for recall). We had issues from the very start (2013) with error codes, the DC code (distribute clothes) and excessive shaking of the drum when it was spinning. My machine would actually move back towards the wall, it shook so hard. Needless to say, the machine was a piece of junk.
I purchased it at Lowe's for $600 and still have all receipts. But because I don't have access to the sticker on the back of the machine due to the fact we got rid of it, I have nothing to show for my "so called rebate." They will be hearing from me in the form of a letter. Does anyone notice in this new tech generation that they are making appliances cheaper and cheaper, but they cost so much more? I remember growing up using the same washer/dryer for 20 years. Now, you're lucky if you get 5 years out of an appliance and they are so much more expensive. SO FRUSTRATED!!!

I bought a Samsung washing machine in April of 2012. After four years the inside was completely rotted and had be replaced. It wasn't a cheap washing machine either. I had a cheap one before that lasted longer than the Samsung one. My mother's Whirlpool is thirty years old and it still works. I had no idea that Samsung washers were such poor quality but now I know. The thing that really got me though was the incredibly horrible customer service. I must have talked to them twenty times and each time was a nightmare. It took a month and a half of three unsuccessful repair appointments before I threw in the towel and just bought a new washing machine. I have never dealt with a more frustrating company than Samsung. Do yourself a favor, buy another brand.

Samsung Washer Aqua Jet VRT - This machine is so environmentally friendly, energy efficient. It does everything BUT clean your clothes. Watch the cycle. It doesn't wash your clothes. It massages them. We have had the machine for 4-5 months and hate it. Spilled some diesel fuel on a sleeve, washed it including the soak cycle with terrible results. The sleeve still reeks of the diesel smell. Can't believe my wife is taking a load to the local coin laundromat to get them clean. Wish I had never gotten rid of our ten year old Kenmore! I strongly recommend NOT purchasing this product.

No, respond from Samsung. Called channel 8 action news in Tampa. The reporter did interview shown on TV. She also contacted Samsung. I received a call from Samsung with apologies & offered a full refund price for my machine. All I can ask I hope some law firm files a class action lawsuit against Samsung to get the necessary help.

Had my washer repaired per Samsung. DirecTV tech installed metal brackets on the side. The next day started a wash, spin cycle was rough, started to leak a little water. The next day started another load to wash this time violent spin cycle, water all over the place. Opened washer WHOLE DRUM HAS DROPPED DOWN FROM MACHINE. I never had any problems with my washer until they installed the stupid brackets. Called Samsung. Better talking to the wall. They do not care or show any compassion. The repair company they provided can not come until next Thursday which is 6 days away. Samsung does not care. I have pictures & video of the problems but Samsung does not care.

Two options on Samsung washer recall, repair or rebate on new unit. I took the repair. Being a mech by trade I watched the BANDAID "fix" done. This is not by any means a "repair". It did not fix anything. The tech tore my dryer hose (I had to replace) and did most of the "grunt" work myself removing drain and water feed hoses and moving the units away from the wall. The "tech" was too fat to fit behind the unit and brought minimal tools, no zip ties, or paperwork to sign. Lucky I have a full tool box. Anyway if there is a class action lawsuit "I'm In". Unit's only 2 years old and have only been lightly used. Hope the dang thing don't explode the tranny.

On Sept 3, 2016 I purchased a Samsung top load washer (WA50K8600AV/A2) along with the matching onyx dryer. It was delivered on September 4, 2016. On September 29, 2016 I saw the news report, the top load washers were reported as exploding & the there was a recall. Naturally, I called Samsung to inquire if my brand new set was on the recall & was advised the issue was fixed prior to mine being manufactured & therefore I had nothing to worry about. The agent then advised me to registered the washer & dryer on Samsung.com, which I immediately proceeded to do & received an email documenting the registration. On Friday, 12/30/16 the washer began to make a loud grinding noise followed by a violent clanking sound. I then called the technical # listed on the machine itself, 866/726-7864 & was then advised the washer is "actually" on the recall. You can imagine my frustration.
They offered me a rebate & bonus of $150 if I purchase another Samsung washer. After speaking to a friend who also had a SS top load washer on the recall & who chose the rebate option, it took much longer than the 6-8 weeks promise her to receive the actual rebate check, in fact she just last week received her rebate check after filing in Sept. Not to give a sob story but I'm a single mother & don't have extra money to all of sudden go purchase another w&d set & wait months for a refund. Ultimately, I chose the repair option & the Dish Network (yes Dish Network) technician did come out today to repair however it wasn't until today that I realized the repair is not actually a repair, it is in fact a workaround which eliminates the bedding setting & in turn the bedding setting on the replacement panel sticker corresponds with the "gentle" cycle on the original washer setting.
They provide a sticker for the machine, which it's been two weeks & I still have yet to receive what they referred to as a "home kit" even that is misleading. I explained this is not what I paid for & would like a refund or a rebate check now to replace the defective set. I have spent several hours on the phone with them & have 3 ticket #'s. They attempted to reach me Monday afternoon at 4:46 & but did not leave me a voicemail so when I called them back this am I was advised the ticket was closed because they were unable to reach me. Therefore, I had to start the process all over again basically from the beginning.
Each time I call I'm on the phone anywhere from 50 to 90 minutes. This delicate cycle leaves my bedding soaking damp. Samsung has not truly attempted to truly justify this matter just a workaround which in turn only benefits the company not the consumer who is greatly inconvenienced with this matter. I would like to bring this to light in attempt to warn others from this nightmare. This is deceptive trade practice & I demand Samsung to refund the $1650 I have invested.

My recalled washer was less than a year old when it was recalled. It cost over 750.00. The recall would only offer $674 toward purchase of Samsung or less for another product. Purchased same model without basket so it would meet their amount. Home Depot requires you purchase new hoses even though mine were less than a year old or your warranty is not valid. I had a 5 year separate warranty. Did everything requested and received check almost 6 weeks later for 514. Did not pay for required hoses or pay any taxes. Worst company I have ever dealt with. I will never buy another product and I intend to make everyone aware so they are not deceived by this company. Hopefully if enough people complain there can be a lawsuit. No matter what option you had to choose the consumer was screwed. Hope you go down Samsung for not doing the right thing for customers.

I purchased a Samsung top load washer in November of 2015. In November 2016, I heard that the washer was recalled via social media. I contacted Samsung immediately and opted to have the washer "fixed" as opposed to replacing it, what a mistake that was! First off, nobody showed up on the original scheduled date to have it "fixed". When they finally did show up on our second scheduled date, it was a DISH TV person who came out and applied two additional brackets to the machine. He also gave us a new sticker to place on the washer which changed the labeling of the wash cycles. Lastly, he never turned the water supply back on but luckily my husband was home when I first used the washer after the "repair".
Fast forward to 1/5/17, as I was doing a load of laundry, the tub part of the washer disconnected from its housing and moved the washer about 6 inches forward. Thankfully, nobody was nearby so nobody was hurt. I contacted Samsung immediately on 1/5/17 and was told that I would hear back in 24-48 hours to schedule a repair. 48 hours came and went and not a peep. I contacted them again on 1/9/17, 1/10/17, and today 1/12/17. They always give me the same old 24 to 48 hour song and dance. I have been transferred to a "supervisor" once per my demands and that person would not even give me her name other than Diana. When I asked her for her title she said, "Supervisor".
This company is a complete joke and clearly does not care about their customers. It seems to be impossible to speak with a real supervisor. I would not recommend this product to anyone and I will never purchase another Samsung appliance! There are many complaints, on this page alone, and nothing seems to be done about it. Samsung continues to sell junk products to consumers and seemingly are not being held responsible for it.

I had a recalled top load washer. I bought a replacement and mailed my claim on Nov. 15 (certified mail). When I checked the status online, it showed that Samsung did not start processing the claim until Dec. 20 - a month later! They are now saying it's another 4-6 weeks. When I spoke with a supervisor in customer service last week, she told me the check had been cut and should have already arrived in the mail, but should be no later than this past Monday. It's now Thursday and... no check. When I called again to check on the status, they now have no record of it being sent. UNBELIEVABLE! It's bad enough that they are having so many dangerous technology issues, but there's just no excuse for poor customer service. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

Bought a Samsung washer 3 years ago. Within the first two weeks of owning it the bottom of the wash tub would separate so that clothes got stuck in it. Called the warranty company. They traded it out with another Samsung unit. Used it once same problem appeared again. Called once more to the warranty company. They did not want to come out and replace it, since they thought it was something I was doing to the washing machine. With enough evidence I finally got them to come out and replace the tub. I came to find out that it was a manufacturer's defect, along with the top lip since it had started to rub against the top of the tub shredding the plastic off the upper lining in the washing machine.
Fast forward, less than a year later other problems started popping up. Started leaking water. The machine would very easily off balance itself so much that it would not properly spin the clothes of water. Top of wash tub was still shredding apart. I tried calling Samsung but, I was told there was nothing they could do. Called the warranty company, they came out and fixed what they could on the machine. After that the washer started leaking more water enough to soak my entire kitchen floor. Loud vibrating, banging sound emanated from the machine along with burning smell coming it. The inside top lip was still shredding the plastic, among other problems.
Called the warranty company with sound and photo evidence that the machine was not safe to use, telling them just wanted to take back the machine and give me the money back for it, enough was enough. No more repairmen. I wanted a complete refund. After many phone calls they determined it was going to cost more to fix it than the original cost of the machine, so I got my refund... Finally relieved after 3 long years. I got rid of the old machine, and replaced it with an Maytag. I've been happy ever since. NEVER AGAIN SAMSUNG!!!!

This new Samsung since 2013 has had the rods replaced inside the drum because it was rocking so hard they broke. 10/2016 a new motherboard had to be installed. Also, the area where bleach is poured is "RUSTING OUT"! I have never seen such a thing, rust? What rusts today? Defective, low quality work.
I bought the item due to the big 10 year warranty that is displayed on the front of the washer and recommendations from the salesperson. What a disaster this machine has been. Not to mention that in between these repairs I have had to go to a laundry mat; yes they still have them, thank goodness! Now this Washing Machine is being "Recalled" from 2011-2015 top load washer from Samsung! I am so upset, this has been going on for too long and all of the repairs that I paid for and all of the waiting for service people and all of the weeks to get repaired and money spent at the laundry mat. Now they want to give me $250.00 "if I buy a Samsung again" or $150.00 if I go back to my Maytag. Or, they just want to fix the issue. Then the other day I receive the package for the recall (which I have the machine that is being recalled). So I called the number and spoke to someone about the recall and told them again about the rust issue. The guy proceeds to tell me that if I get the recall done I get a year warranty after that then to call back about the rust issue? Which totally confused me because if it wasn't covered before the recall then why will it be covered after the recall!
So he connected me with the warranty dept and I was told that they can do the recall but I will not get the 1 year warranty because of the rust problems. So what is the point of getting the recall when there is a possibility that my machine may still explode during a cycle because it is rusting away from inside out! I have seen thousands of complaints and no results. How can they get away with this. People are put in jail for deceiving and cheating people and that is what Samsung is doing.

Each interaction has taken anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours of my time. It is absolutely absurd how this is being handled. Where is the class action suit at? Who do I have to contact to get this resolved? Below is a small log of some of the interactions. Dec 4 - no show and waited 4 hours. Dec 10 - no repair and waited 4 hours. Dec 20 - no repair and waited 4 hours. Escalated to ECR: Dec 23 - no callback. Dec 26 - no callback. Jan 6 - no callback. Jan 9 - 10am call scheduled and no callback. Jan 8 - stuck in rinse; tub won't drain. Unplugged it 3x to rest it.
Been hung up on. Been transferred to no one. Been transferred to conference call where I'm only one on call. Been told they will refund washer and dryer twice. Been old brackets aren't made yet. Been told brackets will be mailed to me. Been told my case has been escalated 3 times. Been told to contact the Home Appliance department as they are handling the refunds. They had no Recall line told me I have to wait for escalating team now and they can't do anything. After all of the above, ECR called me back finally after 2 months of dealing with this only to tell me that my only options are repair or rebate; back to square one. I do not know how to handle this. Can anyone please advise? Thanks.

The recall program is beyond a scam. We were sold bundled Samsung washer and dryer, shipped it from Florida paying shipping and duty. The washer was recalled. We cannot buy Samsung here & like every other person who has washers & dryers, that were also sold as a bundle, we want matching washer & dryer. Samsung's replacement washers are 2x the price of the originals, for the same features and color. Plus, we'd have to repay shipping & duty so this would be a cost prohibitive washing machine to re-purchase and ship from Florida. They won't take back the dryer so that we may buy Whirlpool or Maytag here. We are beyond frustrated with 3 months of calling & speaking to supervisors.
Seeing how many customers have been neglected by this scam of a recall, we would like to know who would like to join in a class action lawsuit? The basis: false advertising: selling bundled washers and dryers where salespeople in retail stores push you to buy them matching and then when recalling, only taking back one item. This forces you to have to buy another Samsung, which by now you do not have any confidence in anyway, that is twice the price for the same features and color. And, in many cases, they devalue the price of the washer.

So I went to web address listed in packet. I chose the option of rebate to replace washer.
I bought the washer about 3 years ago for 600 plus dollars. Samsung's website advised I was eligible for a $45 rebate towards purchase of new washer. In order to get the rebate I would need to provide two stickers off machine and a receipt proving purchase of new washer. To add insult to situation the website advised I could get $145 rebate if I purchase another Samsung washer. The original rebate of $45 does not even cover charge to deliver new washer and removal of the current washer. I will not even consider buying another Samsung to get the $145. While most of the complaints about the front load washers center around the smell and the mold problem, you can mitigate this by draining the machine regularly or running deodorizing tablets in them. But even if you do this, the machine will break. There is a part that supports the stainless drum inside the plastic tub. It's called the 'Spider' Bracket. This piece is made out of some cheap Zinc alloy, such as Zamac or something similar. It's bolted to the stainless steel drum and connected directly to the A/C Induction motor on the back of the tub.
Once the machine fill with a conductive solution, the spider will begin to corrode quickly. It will crack and the drum will come off center and start to impact the plastic tub, which can damage the tub. The spider costs around $100, and the tub parts cost $150 and $250. The cost of washing machine. Mold problem aside, the washing machine will fail after 4 to 5 years. Samsung has not addressed this issue at all that I can see. The mold problem seems to take the washing machines out of service before their other obvious defects can be seen. A brand to be avoided for sure.

I then called the first number, they finally get someone to call me that says that they are busy and don't know when they will show up but they will try. An hour later someone calls and says that they can come over. I ask what company he works for, he says he doesn't work for one and does not have his own repair business and that he's not a major appliance serviceman and that Samsung will not send one because it's too costly for them.
He tells me that he will brace the top of the lid and that the machine will be used in a modified setting after the repair. He is not going to repair the real problem, just brace the machine and that we need to put a different label on the machine and we are not to use all the cycles as it was intended to be used. I told him not to bother coming over. Samsung will not give us a straight answer on any questions we had for them. Then I found out that they totally leave it up to "DISH Network" to do the enforcement of the washer top load. Yes, a little shocked, but I thought "whatever". When the man from DISH left I discovered he damaged the washer. Later finding out he disconnected a sensor, which a manager from DISH reconnected so I could use the washer again, but the man who did the enforcement also scratched up the washer and dented it in two places.
The manager took pictures and about two weeks later I received a letter saying they couldn't prove it was their technician. The plastic is still on the washer, it was perfect prior to DISH putting their hands on it. Samsung hired this company and should be responsible. The washer was not even two months old when DISH came to my home. Why should I have to pay the price for incompetent companies? Where is my restitution for the damages? I'm wondering how many others ended up with damaged washers? I will never buy another Samsung product again. Same damage to other side of washer, along with scratches.

/I too learned of the recall thru social media. I had an OK experience with the DISH tech who came out and replaced the brackets that hold the top of the washer on. I had earlier this year had a repair on my Samsung Dryer, which the dryer barrel lining had torn apart and stop turning. I fought with Samsung but they did send someone out to replace the barrel "no charge". I sent pictures and documented everything.
While this repair person was there I asked him to look at my Samsung washer because when it spins it would shake to where I would pause it, rearrange the clothes, then turn back on most of the time that worked. He told me the "shocks" were bad. He replaced 2 of them which I paid for the labor and parts. I now think the shocks were not bad and the reason my washer shook was because of the lid not being bolted down. I do plan on calling Samsung and getting reimbursed for that call. Now on to my dryer again, just this past weekend it stop heating, so onto YouTube to replace the heating element this weekend. I have my receipts when I purchased these items. I do think they should reimburse people especially for the washer. Very scary of what could have happened.

I've had a problem with my Samsung washer since September 2016. UE light on vibrating and loud noise. Had washer serviced and tech repaired pump and said transmission going out and not covered on my energy protection plan. Purchased machine the end of 2014 at Lowe's. The next morning Good Morning America broadcast that the machine was being recalled and exploding. So I sent email on the Samsung site. I received email from Samsung September 28, 2016 to forward correct serial number. Washer was usable but still loud noise. UE light came back on and same problem existed. No longer working. Finally after many attempts service call set up for tech to come out on November 30, 2016. Tech came out supposedly repaired only recall part, but the machine has not worked since.
Called Samsung same day was in hospital - explained machine not working. Rep said could help me because not home to troubleshoot. Called again given escalation ticket number December 10, 2016. Still no call. Called many times complaining, promised callbacks from supervisor, more ticket numbers. No call backs. Finally after I called back was told appointment set up for tech to come out on December 28th 2016. No one called to set that up. Request call back again. Promised call back no later than 5:45 pm that day. Once again no call.
Tech out today 12/28/2016, machine still not repaired, has to replace transmission and other parts. Tech showing not part of warranty. Called Samsung with repair tech. The rep explained extended warranty covering everything. Tech ordered parts. Will come back out 1/10/2017. Still request supervisor transferred several times, many different departments, no resolution. I explained don't want the $466.00 originally offered. Need a new machine. No confidence in the Samsung company. I was told no replacement unless machine irreparable. I explained I don't trust that transmission fixed and warranty gone in a year. Machine goes out again.
Transferred again after requesting supervisor and complaint department. They transferred me to home appliance, who has nothing to do with escalation or recall. Rep kindly sent me back to escalation department. Promised once again callback 24 to 48 hours which would be Friday December 30, 2016. Explained once again don't believe this will happen. As of this day Wednesday December 28, 2016 still no washer. This is the worst customer service ever. I worked 32 years with AT&T and worked customer complaints for many years. I would have been written up or lost my job if I didn't make my callbacks in the time promised. This is ridiculous. Don't buy Samsung products. My granddaughter even had to get her Samsung galaxy phone replaced.

When I received notice that my Samsung washer could blow in my wife's face I took immediate action. The information provided that I could either have my washer repaired or they would provide $445.00 towards the purchase of another washer. Separately, they said If I purchased another Samsung washer they would pay up to an additional $150.00 for loyalty. When I received my rebate check after purchasing another Samsung washer it was only for the rebate amount of $445.00. I called and spoke with two different persons at Samsung about this issue and they merely kept transferring back to the automated answering system. VERY DECEPTIVE PRACTICE.

We bought a Samsung washing machine loading on top # WHAH7000AWA2 this summer so we did not have any issue with the recall but I would have love to return it. It doesn't wash cloth properly, soap stain on cloth for 1 out of 2 washing cycle and very noisy even if there is the logo VRT (vibration reduction...). We call customer service to report the fact that we have so little water it did not wash the cloth and they said to us that it was normal? So then it's normal that my cloth are not wash properly? After this call we try many things to make it work. We put less cloth, we change for a longer cycle, etc... but did not work. For less cloth, less water... It's a big deception and can't wait to change it.

I have never fought with an appliance more than I have fought with this washing machine. I have owned this model for a year and 4 months. I absolutely dread washing a load of laundry. It will loop in a rinse/spin cycle for hours. I pause the machine. Redistribute the wet clothes and restart it. Only to still have it locked in an endless loop. It doesn't matter what the load content is nor how large or small. Every single load takes hours due to the rinse/spin loop that it gets into. Usually, I reset the load to just "spin." Then stand there for 10 minutes to catch it before it refills with water. I, then, have to load wet, not completely wrung out, clothes into the matching dryer.
As soon as I can afford to replace this albatross, I am going to. Yes, I have had repair guys come out. No, they say there is nothing wrong with it. It's just "sensitive" to weight distribution. No, I can't take it back for a refund. I've asked. I love my Samsung phone. A lot! I've own three of them and will most likely buy another. I will never recommend Samsung appliances and will never purchase another Samsung appliance again.

I bought a Samsung top loading washer in October, 2015. Then in November it was brought to my attention that they had a recall on it. I first called on November 11, 2016 and waited an hour and a half to finally get through to someone. I scheduled an appointment for a service. No call, no show. This happened to me 3 times. By this time I am furious. The excuses they had was ridiculous. On 11/26/2016 they transferred me to 3 different departments and then was passed by to where I started. Even more furious. I told them I was done with a service repair and I wanted a new washer and I was not going to except the $346.00 rebate on a washer I paid $549.00 for.
They told me that because of the trouble that I had been through that they would send it to the Executive Relation Customer Service Department because they could help me and get me more money and they would send it to me ahead of time so I could go buy another washer, because I didn't have the money to buy a new one and then wait for the rebate to come to me. Well of course that didn't help and I got tired of hearing “We have 2.8 million washers to handle.” Duh not my fault. Today I received an email from Samsung Support telling me that my service repair had been set up. I called the place and told them that I was done waiting on a service repair that they was gonna help me get a new washer. So tonight I called Samsung back and they finally let me talk to someone from the Executive Relations customer Service Department. Well that was a waste of time.
They would not help me and told me that I had to have the service call done before Samsung would help me. They said that if the service guy says that it is damaged and can't be fixed then there might be others options for me. After 8 phones calls, 30 hours of wait time for a service call and hours on the phone with them I am done. I want to take their broke, fire hazard, recalled and exploding washer right to their front door and throw it at them. Enough is enough. If they can't fix the problem or help the consumers out then they should go out of business. They have known for 3 years that they were having trouble with their washers and they still can't get it right. There has to be someone out there that can help. I just want a washer that has no defaults with it.

I am so disgusted with the way I have been treated by Samsung. I am one of the unfortunate ones with the washer recall. They give you a choice, get washer fixed with brackets or get rebate. Tell me, where am I going to get a new washer for $256. #1 all the washers are on recall and where am I going to get a difference brand for $156. So I opt for the repair. I begged Samsung not to send out A&E Factory Service since I read the complaints about them. NOPE, had no choice. Carlos does the repair. Meanwhile, the dryer went. Now these units are only 3 years old. So another guy, Kimbum, comes from NISI to repair dryer. He notices that top of washer is damaged because Carlos did not set the top in properly and pushed out the side of the top. I need a whole new top! I'm thinking this guy knows what he is talking about. I called Samsung to put in report of damage to washer.
Now, on Christmas Eve I do wash and guess what? Dryer is still making the noise. Now I am out $20 with the tipping and 7 hrs from work. Now I have to get both repaired again meaning more time and money lost. This whole weekend instead of enjoying myself over the holidays, I was on the phone with Samsung trying to get a repair set up. I told them no more 3rd party repairmen. Oh, they don't have their own techs to come out. So now I am waiting to hear back from them. I told them if enough people complain, they will have a civil suit action against them and I hope they get it.
I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance. And if this is not fixed right, I want new appliances and if the units are repaired right, I want 2 yrs extended warranties on dryer and washer. I wish they would just take them away and reimburse me for a difference brand. Maybe I'll try that. So beware, do not buy from Samsung and I can't even understand half of the people who are calling me back, another problem.
Updated on 01/05/2017: Well, once again Samsung has let me down. Why did I think things were going to be different? Spent 2 hrs on phone on the 30th. Was told actual Samsung tech would call by Monday to make repairs and given one ticket number for dryer and washer. Guess what? No one called. But Tuesday night service center called to see how my dryer was doing. WHAT? Don't they communicate with each other.
Told the guy it was not fixed and he hung up. So then called Samsung with the ticket number I had. He said that was just for dryer, nothing for washer. Gets me another ticket number and then says need to get extended warranty for washer. Said why since I already have that and this is another issue where the incompetent tech ruined my machine. He hangs up. Then call again and now this guy says he sees I have called multiple times and he is going to get me Samsung tech to fix washer and he will look at dryer and be assured he is going to help me.
Well, that was Tuesday. Guy was supposed to call on Wednesday and now it is Thursday. On Wednesday I get 3 emails. Two said repairs for dryer with 2 different ticket numbers, nothing about washer and the 3rd cancelled out the repairs. So if I call again, that knocks out that ticket number and you have to start all over again. Contact BBB. I found a lawyer in NY that has 500 complaints and they are going to get a class action going. Contact General Attorney's office and they will give you number to call. Don't give up. That is what they want you to do. And I am going to send letters to President and CEO. Send them pictures of the damages and all your paperwork.

Samsung has not called and I doubt they will. I'm wondering out loud if in Texas we can go to small claims court to get our money back. Not to mention your machine can't spin the water out of your clothes so no washer for over a month!
We have set up two appointments and yet to have anyone show up but they claim the recall will not fix the machine not working properly. It will just reinforce the top to stay on for your safety! This machine does fine if you're washing small items: t shirts, socks, wash cloths. But if you're planning on washing bed sheets, bath towels or any other larger item, stay away! The problem is this machine tends to ball these larger items up so they don't rinse well and when it comes to spin dry, forget it! The machine will go off balance and reset. You will be required to take each large item out, unball it, then wrap it around the edge of the tub as evenly as possible. Even then, it is not uncommon to have to spin dry 1/3 of the load at a time.
When it shuts down for this, there is commonly 8 minutes left (the spin time), but when you 'balance' your load, it backs up to 13 minutes and goes thru the drain cycle again (even though there is nothing to drain). So it takes you another 5-6 minutes to find out if you balanced it right. We had a repair done (they were very good and took care of the issue) and the service man told me their #1 complaint is the machine does not use enough water (government regs) so the clothes don't come clean (there is a work around for this), and the #2 complaint is the unbalanced spin cycle. We have had this machine for 3 years and plan to replace it. If you like living on ** and anti depressants, this machine is for you!

I call back and speak to a supervisor, he assures me again that it can be repaired, but he can not tell me if the repairmen they send to my house are trained and can repair it.
For some reason I think your employees will take special care in my request and make sure the person coming to my house can fix it. Repairman comes today, says they are not trained on the washer and the bracket they need is not available till January. So now I've wasted 3 days waiting for repairs that could not be done and countless hours on the phone. I want this resolved but your customer service has policies in place that make it so I can't speak to the people who can resolve my issue. Samsung does not care one bit about its customer. You have our money, you offer less than what I paid in rebate and lie to me about getting my machine repaired.

We bought our Samsung top load washer in July 2016. No problems with it until the recall. We made an appointment to have it fixed, took off work and waited and waited and waited. No one showed up, no one called to say they weren't coming. Made a complaint and was connected with a gentleman that explained they were very busy and falling behind. No other explanation, but a new appointment was set. This time the repairman showed up when scheduled, fixed the washer and left.
We had received the new label for the different settings. Still don't know why the new settings make a difference, but it worked fine until today. Started a load of wash, the washer filled with water and before the wash cycle started, every light on the board started flashing, couldn't stop/pause or turn off the power. Finally had to pull the plug and then push power again. It started filling with water again and this happened two more times, even changing the settings. Now the water is leaking out of the bottom of the washer. I'm thoroughly disgusted with this machine and wish I had never bought a Samsung.

After reading the reviews of the so-called "repairs" the service companies are completing on the recalled Samsung washers, I am seriously considering canceling the repair. The reviews make me think I should just be happy that my washer can complete a wash cycle and leave it at that. I don't want to have a repair company come out and make the machine completely inoperable. I have already received and applied the labeling and know that the washer will never perform to the standards I expected from an expensive large capacity washer.
I bought this washer because of the large tub so that I could wash my bedding at home instead of at a Laundromat. And here I am, 6 months later being warned not to use the washer as it SHOULD be used. Bedding comes out soaking wet from the washer now and the dry times have increased ten-fold. And the fix is a clamp that keeps the lid closed??? I hate that I bought crap to replace crap that came with my house. I will never purchase Samsung ANYTHING again. It's so sad that these companies take our money and then give us the run-around when something goes wrong until we just give up and go away. It's criminal.

The fix is ridiculous. Basically they put a sticker on the front and now bedding needs to be washed on the delicate cycle. This just not get them clean enough. I Never will buy a Samsung again.

Samsung greets callers to their phones with a phrase that states ‘customer satisfaction is our first priority’. That statement is the furthest thing from the truth. A bold face lie in fact. My top load washer was under a recall, for which a technician was assigned to perform the recall repairs. He did so on November 28th. The technician reconnected everything but never turned the water back on, and we soon found out why. The cheap plastic fitting for the hot water connection on the back of the machine was stripped/destroyed when the technician put the hose back on. The first wash we go to do ended up flooding the basement. This is a negligence issue.
You would think that Samsung would be bending over backwards to get the machine repaired? Wrong. It is now 9 days later and after many, many, many phone calls to Samsung and various ‘recommended’ authorized warranty repair technicians I am no closer to having the machine repaired than the first night when we called with the flooding issue caused by the negligence of the first technician. The first technician assigned to repair the water valve issue, after waiting 5 days, calls and says they can’t come for another week. That led to a whole series of other phone calls with Samsung and various other technicians who cannot seem to, or care to address the liability issue in a timely fashion.
The latest assigned technician? Located 283 miles from my house. Really? I was assigned others who upon calling had phone numbers no longer in service. Not to get into the details of each phone call, but it has been nothing but a run around from Samsung and their poor network of ‘authorized’ warranty repair technicians. I could get someone local to do the repairs but Samsung won’t authorize it since they claim only authorized warranty repair technicians can perform the work. It should not be a warranty issue since one of their own authorized technicians broke the machine to begin with. It was working fine prior to him ‘fixing’ it. It should be a legal liability issue, but Samsung does not care.
I would never ever in a million years recommend ANY Samsung product to any friends, family, coworkers etc. simply due to the way they brush you off. They simply do not care. While I will say that all of the service representatives that I spoke to, and there were many, as well as a supervisor were all very polite and understanding they could not offer any help in getting my machine fixed in a timely fashion, a machine which their own authorized repair person broke. The authorized repair network that Samsung has in my area is poor at best. To have to wait over two weeks, as that is now what it is looking like, to have someone repair a machine that Samsung representatives broke to begin with is simply egregious. They do not put the customer first. The customer is dead last and customer satisfaction is of no concern of theirs.
I could go on and on with the details of the frustrating phone calls and people telling me they understand my frustration but do nothing to remedy the situation. You simply get passed off to the next person and no resolution. I could almost half understand if in fact it was just a warranty issue. But the Samsung rep broke the machine. I will be writing a letter to the CEO of Samsung expressing my frustrations with the lack of concern and the poor network of repair technicians who cannot address negligence and liability repair issues on a timely basis. Of course, I expect no response or any action from that letter either and I am 100% positive it will never be read by the CEO either. Bottom line is that if this is the way Samsung treats their customers, never, ever buy another Samsung product again. They simply do not care and have no regard for their customers. Buyer beware as the saying goes.
Updated on 12/14/2016: I previously posted a review of Samsung and their top load washing machine and the associated recall and/or repair of the machines. I will not go into the details of that prior post, but the original Dish TV technician who was sent to repair the machine (Dish TV to repair a washing machine!) ended up breaking the machine by damaging the threads on the nylon hot water intake valve. It flooded my basement. Dish TV does not obviously have the expertise to fix something of a more technical nature like this, something that they broke. I have been assigned another TV repair place to fix my washer that the original technician broke. This is a liability issue. Emphasize the word liability. The "new" repair technician has now canceled the appointment 3 times which puts the scheduled liability repair out to 19 days.
A Samsung representative breaks my washing machine, and I have to wait 19 days for them to come and fix it!!! And right now I have little faith that the December 19th appointment will be kept. Samsung's service network is horrible to say the least. What added insult to injury is that today, December 14th, I received an Email from Samsung saying that they are giving me a one time accommodation on parts and labor for the machine that they broke. They certainly are not bending over backwards to fix my washing machine that they broke and then they further insult me by sending me that type of Email 16 days after the fact as if they are doing me a favor. Samsung breaks my washing machine, unrelated to the recall issue, and they think that offering me a one time accommodation to fix the machine is making everything OK? Absurd. Come fix the machine and then get out of my house. Samsung products will never cross my threshold again.

I have had my Samsung top-load washer for around 5-6 years. It has actually served me well. When I heard about the recall and saw mine was on the list, I registered and waited like everyone else. When the "fix" was released, I was told to choose a date. I did so (I think for 11/14? ), held the date, and then was told a few days beforehand it was cancelled and would be rescheduled. I waited again and was assigned the date of 12/5 with DISH. Mondays is the easiest day for me as I work full time, so this was okay. I cancelled my appointments and was given a window of 12-5.
The week leading up to 12/5, I kept getting robo-messages that my appointment would need to be rescheduled, and to "press 1" to arrange a new time. I'd do that, get connected to DISH, who kept telling me those calls were coming from Samsung, they couldn't stop them, but I WAS indeed scheduled for 12-5 still. When it kept happening, I called again to check and was told the same thing. I said "Are you SURE because I'm rearranging my day, and if you aren't going to come, I want to know now." They said, "No, ma'am, you are scheduled". At that time, I also asked when/if I'd get a more refined window of time, noting that I will need to run out twice to pick up my kids from school, but those are both very brief and would be the case any day. I was told, "They will call you with a window that morning". Okay.
Dec 5th came. I got a confirmation the day before, and a link to check the status of my service visit. The link was broken. I waited. At 9:10am, I called to try to get a window and I wanted to be able to go out and do some errands, and also be sure they didn't come while I was picking up kids. I was told it was tentatively scheduled for 2:30-3:45 and would take about an hour. I said that this wasn't ideal since I needed to go out for maybe 15 mins to get my one son from 3:05-3:20, and the other from 4-4:30. I asked if there was any way to move it up, or how to get around this. They said they'd put a notation, but I should get the official call around 10:30-11, and I should call back then as well.
I did get a robocall at 10:40 saying "2:30-3:45 is your window". I called back at 11am and asked again if this could be move up, or even just if it could be on the earlier end of this so not to coincide when I need to get my son. I was told "there are no messages in here". I repeated that I'd called earlier. That person went back in and realized his own note had been deleted after putting it in, so clearly that is what was happening. He said he'd send it directly to the dispatcher, and they'd see what they could do.
I rushed home around 2:15 to be sure to be there for the window since I never heard back. Left a note at 3:05 when I ran out. Waited again. Nothing. At 3:47pm, I called DISH again (for the 3rd time that day) and said "The window is now past. Are you still coming???". I got a lot of "I'm sorry, do you want to reschedule?" I said "No, I had been calling for days. I just want to see what's going on". "I'll send a message to the dispatcher, ma'am, and you should get a call back within a half-hour". Fine.
Of course, nothing. I called at around 5:45pm for the 4th time that day. I said "The ENTIRE 12-5 window is now past. No one has come, no one has called, no one has given me an update". I sacrificed my entire day for nothing! I was told the tech was held up at another job. I asked if he was still coming then, and was told "Probably not since they only work until 6". I said, "Don't you believe in updating your customers then to what is going on?" No response. Just "I'm sorry, I can help you reschedule". Despicable! Such rude disrespect for my time. I rearranged my schedule, sat at home for nothing. Their messages disappear, they don't call back. Horrible.
I called Samsung today. They took like 20 minutes to even find me in their system despite the fact that I had a reference number, a serial number, and of course all my info. After then seeing all these complaints of people having service techs not show, and when they do, finding their washers WORSE off after the supposed "repair", I then asked if they were trying to rectify their repair. She said they are working on it, so I opted to not repair at this time. How messed up is that?! It is actually better to take the chance on my washer blowing up or to go to the laundromat for bedding than to have it "fixed". That says it all.

I called Samsung about it and they didn't care what happened to me and family, nor would they honor their warranty telling me it's outside the year coverage despite the company advertising a 10 motor warranty. They did have a Samsung repair person call me and he told me to just get a new washer because it would cost more to fix my Samsung washer that exploded than to buy a new washer. So, I bought a new one... but months later I find out my Samsung top loader was part of a nationwide recall. I called Samsung to get my money back and to pay for the damage the Samsung exploding washer caused to my home but once again Samsung refused to accept responsibility.
I plan to file a lawsuit or start a class action lawsuit against this company. I will NEVER buy a Samsung product of any kind and you bet my entire family, friends, neighbors, co-workers will be told to NEVER buy a Samsung product. AVOID Samsung WF42H5000AW Washing Machine DV42H5000EW Dryer. Avoid Samsung machines at all cost. Do not buy. They will cost you more in repairs and time off work then you will spend on real quality machines. Samsung make the biggest POS machines. We have had our machines almost 3 years since July 2014. First the washing machine wouldn't complete a full cycle and would stop when it got to the rinse cycle. Gives code button stuck. Well had a repair company come out and look. Was told needed to order parts, would take about 7 days. 6 weeks later told machine not worth repairing, that parts were not ordered, what is needed is new main board and wiring harness. Here is the kicker: 3 days after calling about the washing machine the dryer stops working. You can hear the motor running but drum will not spin. Same thing. Not worth repairing. Needs new motor. Luckily my wife purchased an extended warranty.
Lowe’s warranty states they will replace or repair but Lowe’s refuses to do either and would rather give, send me gift cards in the amount spent on machines. The only problem is machines were purchased on sale. So the amount I will receive will only cover the cost of 1 of the machines and partial of the other. I have had to spend over $200.00 in laundromat fees to wash clothes while they took their time to decide not to replace over 6 weeks. So when you get down to cost these machines are not cost effective. Do not buy. You were warned. Samsung TVs not much better. Mine broke 1 month after the 1 year manufacture warranty expired. Luckily for me they repaired that one. That is why I bought their brand machines. But after this episode I will never buy Samsung ever again.

On top of it all I paid for a service package from Best Buy who will not touch the washer until the recall is fixed. Seems like everyone is passing the problem and not taking accountability. Dora Florida) and manufacturer - they are both pointing fingers at each other to resolve the issue. Samsung told me to plug in a lamp to troubleshoot the problem and then told me to have the outlet changed out. I called out electricians last week and paid $163.50 to have the outlet changed. The dryer still did not work. The electricians opened the back of the unit to find out that it had burned up - plug and all and that is was not fixable. Lowe's is telling me they cannot take the unit back as they would not be able to recoup their cost and that I needed to purchase a new dryer.
Samsung is telling Lowe's that I never called them - I have a ticket number and now Lowe's has another ticket number too. Lowe's keeps telling me that someone will call me in 24-48 hours - that has passed months ago. They are not scheduling service and are just buying time for the warranty to expire. Lowe's will do nothing. How can this get resolved? This dryer could have burned down my house, family and contents.

We paid $800 for this washer 3 years ago. The top of the washer around the bleach cup is rusted as well as the underside of the washer. It quit spinning correctly about two weeks before the recall and now it won't spin out at all. It drains all the water and flashes a dc code.
After we move the laundry around to try and even it out it fills up again and tries to rinse and spin. The last time we used our washer it 8 times rearranging to get it to spin. Boy howdy, do I ever have a case of buyer's remorse. Purchased one of the Samsung top load HE washing machines in 2014, and it's one subject to the recent recall. Worked perfectly until Samsung contracted with Dish Network to come perform the recall on it (have they lost their minds?). Imagine that - a satellite TV installer comes out to perform recall service on your washing machine. Doesn't make any sense at all.
First repair guy (with Dish) didn't have the right parts on hand, so he called another. The second Dish person shows up after a couple of hours and installs the braces and screws prescribed by the recall. He spent at least 2 hours trying to get the washing machine to work after he touched it (again, it was working perfectly before they showed up to perform the recall). Our washer hasn't worked since Dish Network laid hands on it. Repairman threw his hands up and left - said there was nothing else he could do, was not his responsibility and left it to us to call Samsung.
After 5 calls to Samsung support, I finally get a call from a real appliance repair center, but one with horrible reviews and a "F" rating with the BBB (Huh?). The appliance repair outfit told me $150 service fee plus parts to come fix what Dish Network broke when they performed the recall. Say WHAT? Oh my... I'm losing my mind! This is absolutely and undoubtedly **THE** last piece of Samsung DUNG I'll ever buy. This experience alone has done this manufacturer in forever. No more! It's time for a class action lawsuit!

The day I heard about the top load washer recall I called Samsung to see what was needed. I was directed to the website for faster service and after filling out the information to confirm my machine was recalled I had 2 options. The option to get a new washer only gave me a rebate of $136 for a Samsung washer or $36 for another brand. My washer is 4 years old and should have a life expectancy of 10-14 years and I paid over $900 with an extended 10 year warranty. I can see prorating the washer but at 4 years I used 1/3 of the life expectancy which does not equal $136 or $36. I then called Samsung 3 times, the 1st waiting on hold for 1.5 hours then asking the person about the refund and how it works and then asked to have someone call me back so I can further review with them.
No callbacks so I called again and again waited on hold for about an hour and asked to have a callback. I did this one last time and the person said I would definitely be called back within 24 hours. That was 36 hours ago with no callbacks. I don't want the fix from hearing other comments but cannot accept the $136. At this point I don't even want a Samsung anymore after being a loyal Samsung customer since they cannot even call me back. Every time we call we're told there is a new hoop to jump. We're given a reference number, told the person can't help but someone will call me back and on and on. They are selling defective appliances so I believe this needs to be addressed at both a state and federal level. We bought a top load washer June of 2015. Found out about the recall and submitted online for a repair. On November 21, 2016 they sent out Dish tv to do the repair. Washer has not worked since. It will turn on but nothing else. Called Dish. They said they couldn't do anything about it till Samsung called. I called Samsung got the runaround, lied to so finally they rescheduled A&E appliance repair to come out on November 28, 2016. That tech they could not touch the machine because Dish tv had already serviced it. They said I had to call Samsung back and that Samsung needed to call A&E service repair to reschedule. I then get an email saying that the appointment was canceled. I spent over 3 1/2 hrs on the phone with Samsung, talked to numerous people, lied to, given the runaround, disconnected over 7 times. By this time I am pissed off to no end. I told them I have been without a washer for almost 2 weeks.
All I got was "I'm so sorry, blah blah blah." They put another service call in for me. Well when I looked at my email they were trying to send another tv repair company out to service my washer. Oh hell no I don't think so. I called the company to cancel the appointment then I called Samsung back yet again and explained everything again and I was done with the repairs and wanted the rebate instead. First I was told there was nothing that could be done because the repair was already done. I said what repair, they broke it, then I'm told I would be getting a call back. Yeah right.
After making 4 calls on November 30, 2016 finally talked to someone who was finally able to cancel the appointment on their end and send the rebate to my email. I told them I was done with people coming out, appointments getting canceled, being lied to and this whole damn thing was a mess. Already bought a NON SAMSUNG WASHER. I will never buy another one of their products ever again. They say they care about customers, that is a lie. Very, very unprofessional, don't have a clue what they are doing. 2 different reps told me that Dish tv or A&E repair do not do the washer recall repairs. I said "really look at my ticket numbers." Nobody should have to go through all this **. THERE SHOULD BE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.

I had an appointment set up with A&E Factory Services, who simply did not show, did not call, nothing. I waited all day for them, then called Samsung to start over. They have given me new appointment on Sunday morning from 8-12 with an affiliate of Dish Network. Someone who does these repairs, supposedly. I was thanked for my loyalty to Samsung products. I have been loyal until now, but this A&E is a BAD joke.

I am writing this because it has been a nightmare since I decided to do the recall and replace the part. Samsung sent Dish network to my house to complete the recall the service tech when I questioned him as to why Dish was doing the install he said they were hired by Samsung. After the tech removed the top of my machine and replaced the attachment with s clamps he then left. I tried to do laundry after and was not able to because the washer would not complete a cycle and later after continually trying a 1e code appeared which was a water sensor not working. I immediately called Dish and talked with a customer rep to ask them to please send out the tech to fix what he had broke and they stated they were not responsible and that I needed to contact Samsung. Which I did and 2 hours later I thought I had a repair man coming out on Monday.
When I didn't hear from anyone I called lake electronics in Pompano Fl which is the repair facility that Samsung said will fix my washer under the warranty and then at 6 pm last night the service advisor from Lakes Electronics called and said they have made a company decision not to work on my washer or anyone else that Dish did the recall. My washer still doesn't work and last night I spent 3 hours on the phone with Samsung. This really is a cluster "**" and I have no choice but to call my own repair company to come and fix my washer. Which by the way before the recall I had no issues with my washer. I guess the old saying is if it's not broke don't fix it or at least you would think a company like Samsung would send out certified technicians that know the product to work on them... I guess they went cheap and now look where they are. I will never buy a Samsung product again.

We purchased the Samsung because it had good reviews but a year into owning it the top started rusting. The company refused to do anything about it. Then the washer kept getting out of balance when the recall came about. They informed me it was the out of balance problem that was going to be repaired. When the repairperson came out he told me his only task was to replace a pin and a plastic bracket to keep the top from flying apart. What a joke. Samsung should stand behind the products and repair the issues they have known about. I have contacted them again and I am waiting for a response. I am truly disappointed and let down by this manufacturer.

I made two appointments with Samsung for the recall technician to come out and it was a no show on both appointments. I missed 2 days of work waiting on the technician and received an apology email 1 week after the appointment was supposed to take place. I also received a kit in the mail, with a black label for my washing machine and my front label is not black, it is a gray and the washer and dryer are white. It will look very tacky to put that on my washing machine with the money I paid for the entire set. I called and have made the 3rd attempt to have my machine serviced by a technician. I also asked about the black label and I was told this is the only label they are making. It is a cheap looking label and I refuse to put on my washing machine. I will never buy any Samsung appliance again in the future. Lesson learned very well!!!

Bought all new Samsung appliances 2 years ago and wow was that a mistake! 3 of the 4 kitchen appliances broke in the first year. I had to take day after day off work because the repair company they contracted work out to was so overwhelmed with Samsung warranty repairs (that certainly says something about the quality of the products). Now our dryer has broke. The thing is literally 26 months old. We have had $370 worth of repairs done and the problem wasn't fixed. The heat is not working. Apparently a fuse that prevents overheating keeps blowing and there appears to be a problem with the computer in it. We have given up and have bought a new Whirlpool dryer. Customer service for Samsung was horrendous. I will never, ever buy another Samsung product. I have never been so disgusted by a company. Please heed this warning if you are considering it. It's not worth it. The lower price now will cost you in the long run.

I purchased a Samsung top load washer and dryer back in 2013 and received a letter in October that my washer might be one of the models impacted by the recall. I immediately registered my washer. I received a letter on November 14, 2016 advising me that I could either choose a free in home repair kit or a rebate of $163. I called customer service to find how the rebate amount was determined as I paid over $900 for the washer and was directed to visit the Samsung website. When I re-enter my details, the rebate amount now shows as $373. I can't even choose the higher rebate amount as I get a message that "our records indicate that you have already responded", even though I haven't.
I have contacted customer service several times by phone and by email to no avail. No one has returned my calls or emails as promised and I refuse to accept the rebate amount as it still comes up as $163. I have 2 young children and we use our washer daily and there is no information on how the rebate will be processed. I have a chance to buy a new Samsung front load washer that is on sale for Black Friday; however, the sale ends Monday and I have no idea if I will get a rebate if I somehow do not follow Samsung's recall process as there is no information online. Customer service is no help. I prefer to switch to a different brand, but I will not be eligible for the $150 loyalty rebate. I can't wait 90 days. I'm extremely frustrated!

Just got off the phone with their representative. She was helpful describing the process. It appears I have two choices. Have my washer repaired by one of their contractors or accept $524 rebate. I decided to take the repair with a one year warranty because accepting the rebate was unacceptable as I would have to pay upfront the full cost of the replacement washer and wait four to six weeks for a refund. I am over seventy years old and on a fixed income. I cannot afford to tie up funds waiting on a rebate that would probably take longer than four to six weeks based on how long it took me to get through on the phone to Samsung. I have been calling for four weeks straight each day and getting a response of wait times from two hours to five hours; I choose not to wait and decided to call over the Thanksgiving Holiday and got through in less than twenty minutes.
I arranged to have a technician come out in a week to do the repairs. Will see how that goes. I would have actually preferred the rebate had I not had to pay upfront. We are poor. I'm sure Samsung thought this process how and it seems to benefit them at every turn. I will never ever buy another product from them nor will my family after this. I told the representative that if Samsung had meant to do right by its customers they would have simply given the customer a credit and have them go to the place of purchase and choose another washer; however the burden is put on the customer to pay up front. It’s a scam and our government lets big companies get away with this type of fraud. They produce a defective product then make the consumer pay the price to set things right. I have never written a complaint before. This really makes me mad.

I am SUPER disappointed with Samsung’s offer to rectify my new faulty washer. I bought it with the intention of washing large dog blankets so I feel they sold me something that can't do what they said it could do safely therefore I think they should take back the pair for much better replacement cost than what was offered. Here are some facts they told me today over the phone. I purchased my washer $1079 Jan 2016. I bought a 3-yr warranty thru Lowe’s. They offered me a Samsung re-purchase $899. If I don't purchase one of their machines they would only give me $773 for a non-Samsung washer. I’ve had mine for less than a year. Samsung washer offers expire May 26th.
If you are still paying for your machine like I am, Samsung won’t give you a rebate until you are finished paying for your machine. Fortunately I am almost done but what the heck!!? So if you bought yours on at Lowe’s or Home Depot on their year financing, then you have to finish paying it which defeats the ability to take advantage of the 0% financing. Will NOT replace the dryer so you'll always have a miss matched set unless you let them slap a sticker on it with a latch fix for $150. Your refund, if you choose is not based on when you purchased the machine rather when they made it so it’s the manufacture date.
If you decide to get another brand washer, you have to go buy another machine first, how fun, then send them the documentation to prove it then wait for them to reimburse you. Ohh and btw, it’s only for the cost of the machine you bought not the value they give you... more fun (we all have had that experience of lost receipts or not quite getting what they said initially). They did give me the idea to consider cancelling my Lowe’s extended warranty which I did!! Still haven't decided what to do, but either way I don't see it’s a win for me. Never recommend Samsung products.

I am truly disappointed and appalled on how your company has handled the recall in my case. Your company sent someone to put a kit into our washing machine. After the kit was install my machine is now not working properly and the spin cycle just does not work. Our clothes stay soaked. Drenching soak, after numerous calls and ticket # given and after being told I live in a military community and no company is able to come into the military installation due to security and or not wanting to go through the steps to gain post access and fix the problem. So your company is only giving us the option to accept a rebate. A rebate in which I do not want.
Our washing machine was over $800 and we've had it a little over a year. Your $286 rebate toward the purchase of a new Samsung machine or $153 toward another brand is not enough. Having us come out of pocket over $500. How inconvenient and unfair is that? We sacrifice enough to put an unexpected financial strain due to the lack of your company knowledge of fixing the problem correctly. I'm furious and disappointed. Such a huge company who takes no responsibility.

I have had really without exaggeration the worst purchasing experience of my life in buying ALL new Samsung appliances for my family in the home I am renovating. The washing machine I purchased (Front loader washing machine model # WF42H5200A) has leaked from the first load. I have since been lied to by customer service reps and supervisors, deliberately misinformed, put on hold for more than 30 minutes while a service reps comes back to tell me his supervisor is busy. Had multiple service reps inspect my washing machine with zero follow up by Samsung while it continues to leak all over my home damaging my newly renovated home.
I have been told one day the cracked barrel is "not covered because there is no proof it was a manufacture defect and the burden of proof was mine" (mind you this was by an alleged supervisor) and then told the next day that it is covered but some other rep who had no idea about the ongoing issues I have had for three months. I will be taking Samsung to small claims court. MY recommendation to the CEO Dr. Oh-Hyun Kwon is that he should read up on Dr Edward Deming to learn about the long lasting economic benefits and intrinsic value of "customer loyalty". This company churns out low grade durable goods and points the finger back at you and does everything possible not to honor warranty claims. Customer service with Samsung is criminal. LG will get all of my business when I flip my next house.

We purchased our Samsung washer in 2011. Model number WA5451ANW/XAA. Since purchasing the washer, we've seen rust develop all along the detergent containers (which slide under the lid). Samsung states this problem is cosmetic and will not repair. The washer was just repaired due to Samsung's recall to prevent the machine from breaking apart during the spin cycle. The rust occurred prior to the recall. We are obviously upset that Samsung is not willing to take responsibility for the rust problem. I will use the washer until I can no longer use it, but I am very upset that this $1000 product will become unusable in the near future. We've had the washer five years, and unfortunately, that is just not long enough for an appliance.

I have a top load washing machine that was recalled. I opted for the repair. I went online and picked a date. I received a confirmation email with date I choose 21 Nov 2016. The week before my scheduled appointment I received a voice mail stating that the technician was on his way. I texted them stating I was not at home as I work and cannot just take off. I then received an email stating that my appointment had been moved to 22 Nov 2016. I called Samsung and was told that they should not have changed the date without contacting me but they could not tell me why the date had been moved and that a supervisor would call me by the end of the day. I never received a callback.
On Friday 18 Nov 2016 I received a call from a repair tech stating that he was a mile away. I was off work but was in the process of running errands. I was a block away. I returned home and no one showed up. I called the number that had called me and left a voice mail, and did not receive a callback so I called the main number and was told that it was a long story but the tech would be out between the time I called but no later that 2:30, again no one showed up. I called the main number for the service contractor and told them that I was contacting Samsung since they did not show up again and not to bother coming out since they had not shown up.
I called Samsung and again received many excuses. I told them that I did not want to keep the machine due to the lack of customer service I had received. I was told how much I would receive towards a new washer but there were many hoops that I the consumer had to jump through to receive this refund which was nowhere near the amount I paid for the washing machine. I told them I was not happy with this since it is a defective machine manufactured by Samsung. I was told that supervisor would call me back in 48 hours, again I received no callback. I left to run my errands and received a phone call the tech was at the front door. I then received a call from the tech supervisor stating that the tech was at the front door but since I was not answering my phone they were leaving.
I then received a voice mail from the tech company stating that the service appointment was from 8 to 5 and that I was being difficult. I went online to try and print the refund request and it would not print. I attempted to call Samsung but received a message stating that due to a high volume of calls I would have to call back. I got online and did live chat and was told that I had to apply for the refund but my time may have expired since I choose the repair option but she would send the refund form. One of the requirements to receive a check from Samsung is that the original receipt from the replacement washer has to be submitted. I have never had to submit an original receipt what if I need it at a later date. Rebates only require a copy of the receipt. Samsung is a big joke. They don't give a crap about the customers.
I will never buy any products from Samsung again. I went to do a load of laundry in the Samsung machine and it sounded like it was going to explode. I purchased a new washing machine from a different company but it looks like I will have to pay for that without any assistance from Samsung and their defective piece of scrap metal.

Samsung said they would reimburse us for full price but we would be unable to get a matching dryer. Frustrated with not having a matching set that I originally paid for I opted for the repair. Technician takes 10 min to repair the part after having taken off half day of work. Then a week later Samsung sends an "overlay" which is just a sticker to put over the different wash cycles which doesn't even match my dryer.

September 2016. 2nd ticket number ** - a executive would call me back if I sent a copy of my receipt to email eFax@sea.samsung.com with subject/name and phone number - they would offer me my choice of full refund or a new machine. Oct 20th sent email as requested - no callback. 3rd ticket number Peter 11/16/2016 ** escalation. Someone would call me back - took all my information - could not find any ticket number. No call back.
4th ticket Eugene 11/17/2016 ** - previous ticket found but they said canceled because I didn't answer my phone. Called back asked for supervisor. Said executive will call back the same day and what time was I available - I said all day - no call. 11/21/2016 I called back to Samsung - they said someone would call. 11/21/2016 - Portia called me said my previous tickets were not canceled because I did not answer - they were canceled because the "certified repair company" did not call the Samsung back. So my ticket was canceled. But good news (ha ha) - the machine is now recalled so I can no longer get a full refund or a new machine. I would have to register online and choose - Repair - from what I have read online - machine's still are having issues with this option.
Buy another Samsung washer and they will give me $448 dollars after I show proof of purchase or buy another machine and show proof of purchase and I will get $350.00. I ask Portia why I would believe anything Samsung is telling me and do they think everyone is rich and can buy two washing machines in one year and hope they get money back? This is terrible - I paid $584.00 for my original Samsung. I had two repairs within 6 months - Very frustrated.

Bought a washer from this company last year. Washer was actually made in 2013. It has now been recalled and I'm being prorated from 2013 when it was manufactured instead of when I bought it in 2015. They are only bandaging the problem. The problem is with the bolt in the the drum. It is too short for the washer machine. If I would have known I was going to be prorated from when it was manufactured I would have just bought a Whirlpool. I have had issues with the washer from day one of buying it. Have had service done on it only to have the same problem continued. Ended up going to a laundromat to wash clothes.
For a washer I just paid off a month ago opted out of having the top reinforced and a computer board put in to where I could not put my washer on high speed on a sticker stating that I would not on a washer I had paid for. This is a huge slap in the face. I also had the Note 7 in the same house I'm living in that was blowing up. I will no longer be getting any Samsung products and if I were you I would do the same. Bought top loading washer and matching, both new at Lowe's June 2016. I understand Samsung is also going through their fireball Galaxy issues and now they also have a recall on their top loading washer. Ironically the washer wouldn't spin a small load 3 nights ago so I went through the online process to register my choice in the recall. Either keep the washer and Samsung will give me an extra 1 year warranty or I will receive a rebate on returning the washer and buy a new one. The price I paid for the washer (5 months ago) was $1300.00 and the lovely rebate they offered was $758.00. That's the first ignorant insult.
So, I obviously chose to keep it, get the extra warranty and book a repairman to fix the recall. I quickly became infuriated as the online system tells me this can take up to 90 days! I have a family of four so this needs to get done NOW. So, I utilize their live online chat service and I reached Salas who states "our teams are working to fix the problem quickly" but couldn't give me any specific time other than 90 days.
So I stated back to her she is NO USA to me and I ended the session. Then, later the same day now my dryer won't dry a load completely because the sensors are USELESS! Towels, blankets or a load of kids clothes. It doesn't matter. So, instead I just back to Lowes to speak with the store Manager who was AWESOME! He assured me he would take of the issue and get someone out sooner. Thank god I bought them at Lowes!

I purchased my Samsung Washer with an extended warranty from Best Buy for $649.99 along with a Samsung Dryer for $649.99. The warranty cost me $260.98 and I renewed it a second time for the same amount! This product should be covered in full! I noticed that my washer started to clunk and give uneven load messages even when the load was evenly distributed. I looked up what might be causing this and lo and behold, I was not notified by Samsung and my washer was RECALLED and might EXPLODE! I contacted their recall website, filled out everything they asked for and called them for a repair through National Service Alliance for which Samsung supposedly oversees the dispatch.
It only took me about fifty calls to Samsung wherein I was disconnected repeatedly due to the overwhelming amount of calls. I took off from work and was given a time window of 12 noon to 4 PM. About 3:30 PM, and still no repair person, I called Samsung Direct. At this point, I have about 20 different numbers most of which disconnect you when you call. I finally reached a live person. They were rude and could not give me a number to contact the repair person, nor could they reach them through dispatch. I asked how a company this large would not have adequate staff or a proper dispatch system to be able to reach their repair people. No answer.
I finally tracked down the number for NSA and the owner there gave me a direct number to the repairmen who told me that Samsung had never notified them of the service appointment but that they would be over. They arrived at 6PM, put on a bracket to keep the tub from climbing out of the machine and did not fix anything else. There were here at best a total of 15 minutes! The machine still goes off balance, uneven load warning, and repeatedly refills trying to balance the load. The strut they put in did nothing! I have called Best Buy and asked their Geek Squad to fix my machine. They are sending out a repair kit for the struts on four sides of the washer and the tech is coming on Saturday. We will see what happens from there. I have high regards for Best Buy and hope that they will not disappoint me.
Samsung did not even know that their serviceman at NSA had come out and I received another random call from some service company stating Samsung said to call me because my serviceman did not show up! Total chaos, total confusion on Samsung's end and my machine still isn't fixed even when their repairman did finally come out and put in a part which took 10 minutes. They offered no replacement of their faulty dangerous product. Consumers have inability to get through to their company and are repeatedly disconnected. Right now I am one totally irate dissatisfied customer.
I believe this needs a class action lawsuit started in which Samsung is sued and the consumer receives a full refund option or the consumer can choose a free repair through the repair service of their own choice paid by Samsung. Never ever will I recommend Samsung or purchase their products again. I tried contacting them online, by phone, and also sideways through their service provider and left messages. I will not hesitate to tell my many friends, family, and customers not to buy Samsung and how I was treated.

Samsung 5.2 cu. ft. Top Load washer with Vibration Reduction - As we all know by now many washers have been recalled. Mine being one of them. However since I got this machine I noticed many small holes appearing in A LOT of my family's cotton tops like t-shirts, under shirts, long sleeved shirts. After researching online I found a complaint to Samsung and one being from 2008 in the UK about the exact same problem. That is 8 years ago!
Turns out that due to the force of the spin cycle clothing was forced through the holes in the side of the drum and in turn the clothing was being damaged by the outer drum. I brought this issue to Samsung's attention last week but it appears they only seem to guarantee a fix for the recall problem or a pathetic refund. I am still awaiting another response asking if I was to buy another Samsung machine can they guarantee me that the same damage will not happen to my clothing. Thankfully I purchased the recall machine from Costco in February of this year and they will give me a full refund upon return.

AFTER Samsung makes the repair, a new control-panel sticker will be affixed to the washer. This new control panel of cycle selections indicates that the Bedding and Bulky Items cycle will be a delicate cycle. Apparently, the repair will only reinforce the top of the washer so it doesn't blow off and injure someone. However, the repair will do nothing to provide us with a cycle that adequately washes bedding and bulky items, as other manufacturers provide on their machines. It will be the same cycle that washes items such as lingerie.
We spent well over a thousand dollars for this Samsung washer because it was supposed to have the capacity for heavy-duty items such as blankets. A delicate cycle will not adequately wash them using the same cycle that is used for actual delicate items such as lingerie. Samsung should repair these machines so that they function for heavy-duty items, as Samsung promised in their advertising at the time of purchase. Every attempt I've made to communicate with Samsung about this has been stonewalled.

The automatic drying cycle is very poor quality and does not correctly detect when clothes are dry. Dryer frequently stops after running only a few minutes. It is absolutely useless. Have to use timed drying to get clothes completely dried. As always, Samsung's customer service is no help and will not provide service under warranty. We have purchased a houseful of Samsung products and are completely dissatisfied with the dryer, the dishwasher and the icemaker. We will NEVER AGAIN PURCHASE NOR RECOMMEND SAMSUNG PRODUCTS.

Our washer was part of recall and I followed instructions on Samsung to make a claim, choosing the in-home repair option. Got no-reply email from Samsung telling me Installs Inc. LLC would be there November 17, 2016 to perform repair, but that someone had to be home all day. Rearranged schedule to be home but they never showed. When I called they said the part they need to do the repair had not come in and they would call me to arrange an appointment when it did come in.
They acknowledged that they had my phone number and email address and could have called or emailed to let me know they weren't coming but chose not to do so. Tried to contact Samsung customer service to let them know what happened using link on the email but got "Server Error" message "404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable." Very bad customer service from both Samsung and Installs Inc.

I purchased a Samsung washing machine 3 years ago. It is now being recalled, the option to fix my current washing machine in my area is not an option. Since they don't have repair techs in my area they are refunding me my full amount that I paid for the washer. However, my question is that I've always been under the impression that the HE washing machines to work properly require a matching dryer. I do not want another Samsung washing machine, but don't want to buy another dryer either. Any inputs on how they will work if I choose another brand washing machine?

I recently purchased a front loader washer and dryer made by Samsung. After only 6 weeks, it stopped working mid cycle. I spent 2 hours going through all of the troubleshooting steps with a customer support rep and then had to wait until Monday to book an appointment with a repair person (they don't work weekends). I spent an additional hour going through all of the same information with 2 to 3 more people and finally they agreed to send a repair person. 8 days later a repair person came. After 20 mins he said that he needed to order some parts. Another 8 days go by (now 18 days without a working machine). 2 repair people come. After 3 hours they determined that they could not fix the unit and would request that I be approved for a new one. Another week goes by.
I call Samsung to find out what's going on. I learn that I've been approved but need to be patient and follow the process. I wait an additional 4 days and learn that I've been approved and they will contact me within 3 weeks to make arrangements for a few machine. At this point I have had no washing machine for 2 months. A few days later I receive a phone call explaining that the model no longer exists and that I will be receiving a refund. I agree to this... I'm still waiting for my cheque. It's been a month. Yesterday they told me that it was sent by registered mail last week but I'm still waiting. What a nightmare!!!
What's worse is that I stupidly bought a warranty on this product from Canadian Appliance Source knowing that these newer appliances break down from time to time. I've since been informed that my warranty is worthless because the machine broke while it was still under manufacturer's warranty. I called CAS to discuss but they only referred me to the underwriter... The underwriter said there was nothing they could do. I asked if they thought it was fraudulent to sell insurance to a consumer that cannot be used and they said no.

If I could give this a big fat zero, I would!! We purchased a matching pair washer/dryer in 2010 for an extremely high dollar amount. No problems with the dryer, but the washer is a disaster. They look beautiful on the outside & still do, but looks are deceiving. I agree with others' comments about the odor & vibration at times with a heavy load. We had the gasket around the door opening replaced at least twice. But nothing prepared me for what just happened yesterday.
I had a error message come up that said - Not Draining, Change Filter or Call for Service. I opted to call for service & the repairman just was here and stated that the machine is "UNREPAIRABLE"!!! Basically all the 'guts' are worn out & to replace everything would cost almost as much as a new machine. This machine is just 6 years old & I did not abuse it in the least. I am very annoyed! This set is in a very visible area of our home, so I will now have to buy a new set to replace it. And it will definitely NOT be Samsung. SO disappointed!!

DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG. Our washing machine is only 10 months old. There has been a huge recall. For those that don't know this is the second recall. There was also a recall in Australia. So again why would you buy a machine from a company that has their second recall? Exploding products (washers and phones) seem to be their specialty.
All we want is our full refund. We are retired and this machine does not get a lot of use. So to us it is still brand new. Samsung is shorting us over $226.00! And even more if we don't buy a Samsung. Who in their right mind would ever buy another Samsung after this fiasco? We have spent hours on the phone with them to just be told the same rehearsed lines. What about our time and effort? PLEASE do yourself a favor and do not buy Samsung. This is not the first washing machine with problems and it will not be the last!

Our five year old Samsung front loading washing machine began billowing black rancid smoke from it while continuing to run. I called Samsung and they agreed to send repairman and pay the labor to fix the problem knowing it was 5 years old. The repairman reported it would be nearly $800, as the shaft, drum bracket and bearing had all failed, causing an out of round condition that rubbed the door rubber seal until it started to burn. Samsung then refused to honor their commitment not paying labor for repairs. They offered no other form of rebate or discount as it was out of warranty. The problem is common and is the root cause for out of balance drums reported. The design is weak as this high end product should last many years. And even worse they had a case number assigned, had recorded their commitment and backed out.

Bought a new samsung washing machine 1 1/2 year. There is a defect that can cause them to blow apart. There is a recall which I don't agree with. Either you get in home repair or they give you credit towards your new washer. After 1 1/2 years and putting my health in danger they offered me 60% of what I paid for it. As far as I'm concern this is a slap in the face. I will try as much as possible to stay away from samsung product. The company is not worthy of my business.

I recently (in February of 2016) bought a washer and dryer from Home Depot. Samsung models. They have worked just fine with few issues. I have a model that is listed as potentially exploding. I opted for the repair. I was on hold for hours getting to report this. They set up repair for 11/14. Gave me a dispatch number and name of Installs, Inc. who would repair it. I took a vacation day and waited all day with no one showing up. I put 3 calls into Samsung. All 3 CSR's were very nice and promised to help, but no one did. NOT ONE PERSON could tell me why a repair was scheduled, but no one showed up. I am livid. I didn't cause this problem. I waited 8 hours for someone to show up because THEY scheduled it and it didn't happen. Samsung is handling this issue VERY poorly.

Just look online and see what WAS there. Or purchase a panel. I wrote on it with marker pen. Nice on my front loader. Money you pay and this happens. I was really mad until I read all the working complaints this machine has had. I should feel lucky the machine works. No more pricey Samsung washers for me.

I bought a Samsung washer less than a year ago and it is still under warranty. Received information that it is being recalled and will send me a check toward a new washer either theirs or a different maker. I have to buy it first and send in the receipt to get the check. I chose to get a new washer from a different maker. The amount Samsung will give me is less than what I originally paid for their washer. I feel since it is still under warranty and their defective product is unsafe and recalled I should receive a full refund since I have to purchase a replacement and will incur additional expense. I will not purchase another Samsung product.

My washer is one that is on recall and I opted to have it repaired since Samsung isn't telling us how much they will gives us for our washers. I scheduled online using the recall site. I scheduled for Sunday 13 November for the afternoon. I got an email with a Dispatch ID, a Servicer name of National Service Alliance and a phone number of 801-503-9814. So no one showed up, no one called. I have been trying to call to find out what is going on. That phone number is for Samsung and every time I call I get a "we are disconnecting your call due to a high call volume" message.
The link on the bottom of the email to contact customer service has been shut off, you get an error message. This is so frustrating. There is no one to contact and I have better things to do than sit on the phone trying to call these idiots all day. I scheduled online for a reason and no one shows up, no calls, no emails, no nothing. Samsung is a JOKE!!! As soon as I can replace this washer and dryer they will never get my business again!!

Purchased brand new Samsung top of the line steam dryer in 05/13, since then have put 3 thermostats. Now broke again. This item was very expensive. Will not put another 150.00. Could have a brand new dryer for all the $$$ I have spent to repair. Called Samsung this morning, I will quote as to what the woman said. "So sorry this has happened. Not normal to go through 3 thermostats. Can send a repairman out, but since item is out of warranty, you will have to pay to have it fixed." In other words, we have your money and too bad for you, and we don't care. Needless to say will never buy another Samsung as long as I live. In fact wouldn't even take it if it was for free. I contacted Samsung on Nov 9th about their top loading washer recall. After much to do I was able to get them to confirm I had a unit that was within the parameters of the recall. I questioned the csr a number of times, trying to figure out how it was that one of the largest consumer electronic companies had such an inept process for dealing with recalls. After all if a car manufacturer can handle a recall based upon a vin number, why was it that Samsung couldn't do likewise with my online product registration? No explanation, just more excuses.
Nonetheless she gave me an appointment date of 11/13 that a service rep would be out and a dispatch ID#. Both of which I come to find out are meaningless. After waiting all day I call and speak with Sara. Very apologetic, but now we have a new wrinkle in the works. Appears the initial system Samsung was using for handling service dispatches wasn't working. Really! So I wasted away an entire day for nothing? I've had my hands slammed against the cabinets in my laundry room from this miserable machine bouncing around uncontrollably and now to add insult to injury I'm waiting another week before someone addresses this design problem?
I've been patient up to this point, but no more. When I first took delivery of this expensive pile of scrap metal I received a letter from Samsung extolling the virtues of my decision to make the purchase and telling me that as a premium purchase customer Samsung would have a representative come to my house and demonstrate to myself & my wife all its features. Upon making the call to the number provided in the correspondence I was told they didn't have any qualified representatives in my area? Really, our metropolitan area is well over 2 million people & they don't have anyone qualified? Again sounds like another smoke screen!
Like many on the Samsung wait list I've purchased well over a half a DOZEN of their products. But no more, the product hype & inability to follow through with promises is making me look elsewhere for any future electronic devices. If this company really cared about making good on idle promises & warranty claims the least they could do is not to insult the intelligence of the consumer! Get serious Samsung. Your attempt to wear the consumer down with endless product questions, that you should already have the answer to, is a slap in the face!

We purchased our top loader Samsung washing machine a year last summer and have had consistent problems with dark clothing having white soap stains on them. I have decreased the liquid soap and fabric softener, used the extra rinse cycle, decreased how many items I am putting in at once (it still happened with 4 items), washed the machine itself to clear old soap, decreased the spin speed to the lowest speed, and nothing works. I have complained about this before and they sent a repairman out who said there was nothing wrong with it, and recommended I use a damp cloth to "wipe away the stains." With a brand new machine, I shouldn't have to do this.
I've heard that Samsung washing machines are now exploding with large loads on a high spin speed; obviously the quality of these products is lacking in many ways. Samsung, I have contacted you before and am still not satisfied. I ask you to recommend what else I can do or I urge all consumers to think twice about purchasing this product.

The control panel went out a few months after we bought it. About a year after that, the same thing happened. Called Samsung and about 3 weeks later and innumerable calls, I get repairman out that says it is the back panel that is out not the front and it will cost $496. to fix. And that is why the start button doesn't work? Called Samsung once more but I was over it. They said they would replace part but I just didn't want to deal with the thing. Bought a new Whirlpool. This is the third appliance I bought from Samsung due to repair history on consumer reports and two have had major problems. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. (30 minutes on hold to talk with a supervisor, finally hung up and no call back even though they had my number? One of many frustrating calls) No more.
