Started having problems on spin cycle, sound like the machine (Samsung Washer WF330ANW/XAA) is coming apart. Shakes so hard I can feel it upstairs. Had a technician out. Said my drum and rear tub bearing bad. Only 4 years old. Called Samsung and they did not care about my problems, said my warranty was out. No warranty on this washer and NO recall. But Samsung is recalling top loaders for bad drums and bearings. I am going to Sears where I purchased and I will tell everyone DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT, especially any of their washers. I will never purchase another Samsung product. NEVER!!! Serial #Y09S54AC300859N.

Washer doesn't clean clothes AT ALL and dryer leaves lint all over your clothes! I got some dirt on my jeans (not much at all) and when I went to take them out of the washer the moisten dirt was still there. This was after washing them on heavy and hot water. It looked like someone just sprayed some water on my jeans. I was shocked! Now it makes sense when I washed my mother's clothes (assisted living). My washer smelled like urine when I opened the lid after again washing them on hot and long cycle to make sure they got really clean. I'm SO grossed out now that I've been wearing dirty clothes all this time (several months). When I contacted Samsung they couldn't find anything wrong with my washer. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! My dryer leaves lint, hair, you name it on all my clothes since the day I purchased it. These should never been put on the market. I don't know if and how it even passed any testing.

Samsung washer - Absolutely the worst Appliance I've ever bought from Samsung. It's been recalled. They've come to fix it 3 times and now I'm supposed to get a refund and they tell me they're not going to refund me because I got rid of the unit. I did everything required online and that still is not good enough.

I have the washer and dryer since Samsung started selling them. My set stands on the platforms that you can buy directly where you purchase your equipment and I highly endorse having the platforms. The machine washes wonderfully and the dryer dries fast and remains on without heat for quite a while so your clothes won't lay and wrinkle. I will ABSOLUTELY repurchase SAMSUNG again.

My Samsung toploading washer (without an agitator in the center) is a very bad design. First, it is so computerized that you can't do anything. It is not programmed to do, like decide you need more water and try to change the setting after it has started filling. It washes everything lukewarm, no matter if I set it on hot. But worst of all: It puts little round holes in my laundry items!!! About 3/4" diameter! All my tablecloths have holes in them now, as do many pieces of my clothing! What a great washer - mama's little helper! The cycles are very long and slow and the sound is loud and ugly. If I could afford to, I'd just chuck it and try to find a reliable older style washer. This machine is a great example of overdesigning and our addiction in this society to new and fancier (even if they don't work as well!)!

SAMSUNG washer severely rusted warranty unfulfilled... Fraud? Samsung is defaulting on warranty services. My Samsung washer is SEVERELY RUSTED through the bleach dispenser, detergent dispenser, top cover and onto the body of the machine. I have had 3 technicians come out, acknowledge this is a KNOWN ISSUE, and even stated that it was THE WORST THEY HAVE EVER SEEN. When attempting to fix the cover the last technician removed the top piece, dislodged chunks of rust into my machine, claimed he couldn't call into Samsung to get a coveted 7000 number because they were closed, and again left my machine unrepaired. Samsung has kept me on hold for the better part of an hour now and claim all they can do is send another tech out to basically repeat the same cycle.
This is a lucrative business for both Samsung and US Appliance their contracted service provider. US Appliance keeps collecting diagnostic fees while Samsung never has to pay out on warranty work. US Appliance also takes this fraudulent process further by cancelling my service appointments claiming that work is not covered by my warranty and asks for money up front to keep the appointment. As this is NOT TRUE and also probably fraudulent I have to call Samsung back again and get them to reauthorize service calls and then get out service appointments rescheduled.
I also have a Samsung refrigerator with a warranty issue on the seal. The exact same process has been replicated, where it is diagnosed as a warranty related issue. They are scheduled to come and repair it. Our appointment is cancelled stating it is not a warranty issue and US Appliance asks for payment. I have to call back and get Samsung to reauthorize it. Someone finally comes out to fix it but instead of fixing the issue they re-diagnose it incorrectly to avoid warranty fulfillment. This is an obvious pattern and I am utterly disgusted. I have photos and would gladly post them if I was able to insert pictures.

The Samsung washer is horrible. I completely regret the decision to purchase this piece of metal scrap that just can't stand up to the job. A simple one at that. Cannot handle medium loads. Forget the heavier loads. This one does one is a top loader without an agitator. Ohhhh but the whole washer is completely a huge agitation! Ours was on the recall list, we had it "repaired" but it still won't WORK! I will NEVER buy a Samsung product EVER again!

Purchased less than four years ago from Alabama Power Company... Motor gone on dryer, hole in tub on washer caused major damage as laundry room is upstairs. Neither washer or dryer used that much. Only two adults living here. Over 1700.00 dollar set after employee discount. No extended warranty a shame! I will never buy Samsung anything again! Not sure if anything can be done but it should be a law... The washer has a 10 year manufactory warranty tag on it, but they say it is for the motor only. Not a happy camper!

It's been close to 2 months with this situation so I am not jumping to conclusions. I have called Samsung multiple times with the same concerns - the washer is producing mildew inside and the clothes smell. They agreed it is a problem with that particular model. But, they have to send out a technician to do the "re-call" service first then the warranty can be extended for an additional year. When I asked him will this resolve the problem, he said "NO". By the way I waited 4.5 hours for them to arrive - past their window of arrival. Then he said call in and they will come out for another service call. So I was on the phone for 1 hour 4 minutes and 38 seconds and explained the entire process while being placed on hold multiple times.
Another service tech shows up to do the same "re-call"! What the heck! So the tech called from his cell phone and as I was talking to him asking questions... He hung up on us! WOW! Then the tech decided to escalate this situation, the next day I received a call from Dish Network - an authorized dealer by Samsung and he wanted to send a tech out for the same "re-call". Are you kidding me people - I speak English and speak it well. I am fed up with Samsung and don't plan to buy any products in the future.

I immediately took action as soon as I found out about the recall on the Samsung washing machines. That was in November of 2016. I registered my machine on their website, scheduled a day for a technician to come look at it, and gave them my contact information to receive new labels for the machine. The new labels I did receive, but the technician never showed, nor did anyone contact me to tell me that no one would actually be coming. The machine acted pretty weird at times, but I assumed that I was simply overloading it. It worked, so I kept using it. Issues started occurring more and more though. The spinner refused to work on several occasions, and the rinse cycle was never ending at times.
My fiancé and I moved in March of 2017, and noticed some really bad damage in the back corner. With no outside marks, and dents that clearly came from the inside of the machine, we knew this was not cosmetic damage. Shortly after moving, the machine continued giving us issues, and once it began making the sound of what metal on metal grinding together sounds like - we stopped using it. For about a month I washed clothes by hand, so the frustration in doing that, led me to call Samsung to try and get something resolved.
June-August of 2017, I tried desperately to have Samsung reimburse me for my recalled washing machine. They promised to send someone out again, but they ended up not having any technicians in my area. Because there wasn't anyone who could look at it and maybe fix it, they were supposed to reimburse me. They requested a copy of the receipt, I emailed it to them, then they say they also need certification of ownership. Why didn't they say so before? So now I go out of my way to find that! Email that to them, but nothing ever happened!
No one EVER called me until August 4th. Every week between June and August - I had to call because no one ever called me like they said they would. I missed that one phone call because I was driving to work. This was on a Friday afternoon, at the end of Samsung's working day, and I'm a server (we cannot be on our phones obviously), so I couldn't call back until Monday morning when I'd be off of work and they'd be open again. I did just that, and I'm then told that because I didn't answer the call, they closed my account!! So then I had to reopen it, and hope that "management" would approve reopening it. Again, I'm told someone will call - but of course - no one ever did.
My piece of junk, $900+ washing machine that I had for only a year, and bought as a broke single mother and college student, is sitting in my garage with structural damage ALL OVER IT! Had we continued using it - there's no telling what would have happened. We hired our own technician to come look at it, and he verified that it's definitely structural damage, and dangerous to use.
Although my fiancé was able to buy me another washing machine, Samsung has a lot of money of mine that does not belong to them! I can not believe what a roller coaster Samsung put me on for this to still not be resolved. We need to know how we can get this taken care of once and for all. $900+!!! Three different ticket numbers they gave me. So that was three different phone calls that I got the run around on- because they ask for your ticket number in the beginning, but my account isn't being found, because for some reason they kept changing my ticket number without telling me!!

I'm new to USA. I thought that Samsung looks good, and is a quality product. Ha ha ha! I bought a second hand washer, and soon found that the drum didn't turn. I'm fairly handy, so I stripped the machine in layers, looking at YouTube tech videos. I eventually ended up after a few hours of fault finding, to find that the rear of the drum has a Spider Arm and shaft connecting the drum to the motor. It was totally disintegrated.
I decided to find out how to fix it and get the part numbers. Guess what... This is a common fault with Samsung Washers. Galvanic action takes place with the normal washing cycle, and eats up the metal. It will last for a few years (this one is about 3 years old) and then disintegrate. I called a local Appliance Parts centre in Raleigh... Spider Arm $112, new bearing and tub $275. My labour is just my time, but worth a few Dollars if a repair shop were to fix it. The fine lady at the shop said, "Honey, if you want my advice, throw the machine and away. And NEVER buy a Samsung." The Appliance parts centre is inundated with requests for parts of faulty Samsung machines.
Gents and Ladies, I'm new here, so I'm only commenting... How can a company like Samsung rip people off so badly with such poor designs. Surely they are not allowed to keep on selling inferior products that good folks have to write off as a bad experience, and lose a lot of hard earned Dollars! What about the risk to life and property when a machine goes rogue and disintegrates, or catches fire. I thought that in America, a company like this would be shut down?
I will never ever buy a Samsung product again, and everyone I meet, well, I have a really good story to tell them about why they should never buy a Samsung Appliance ever again. All I can do is spread the word. Bad news spreads 10x faster than good news, so hopefully others won't be hurt like all the folks that have written reviews of their experiences.

I have the Samsung front load blue steel washer and dryer model year 2017. I love them. The washer and dryer have several options for cleaning and drying my clothes whether I need to do a quick wash and dry or a heavy load with extra rinse and spin. I made sure when I bought the Samsung pair I had the washer with the option of the ADD a piece of laundry option via the Add a Door function in the newer models so after you start the load in early front load washers you could not stop them to add a piece of dropped laundry but, now you can stop the washer, open the added door and put in the dropped piece and not spill any water and restart the washer. The washing machine also uses less detergent to wash the clothes and the clothes come out of the washer almost dried so it does not take long to finish drying.

I was not happy when I heard my Samsung top-load washer got recalled and I had to change to a new one. Also, I was not sure if I should get Samsung again since too many problems with them lately. However, they offered this recall and would pay fraction of the new washer and installation fees. If you are familiar with this program you will know if you get another Samsung washer you would get additional $100. Therefore, we had to choose it again. On the printout of the recall detail, it says it would refund the installation fees. Therefore, I purchased 'delivery and installation' for my new Samsung washer from the vendor. After I submitted the receipt, there was no replies saying if they have received or not. I tried to email them but no reply whatsoever. I had to call them 3 times to make sure they received my documents. Finally, they replied they would not refund my installation fee back because my receipt only had 'Delivery' on there.
I argued with them that this was a package and installation is included in the whole service, but they would do anything with it, and I lost almost $82 for this (their whole refund amount is $360). This is the most ridiculous response I have ever gotten from a big company customer service. This is strict a 'FRAUD'. Samsung is playing word game with customer and try to scam customers who were being loyal to them. Not mentioning all the safety and quality issues regarding their products, their scamming way treating customers are way beyond unbelievable. From this day, I would not ever buy their any products anymore.

First I worked for BASF Wyandotte servicing commercial laundry machine for 27 years so I feel qualified to offer some good practical advice regarding washing machines. The 5 elements in cleaning are: time, mechanical action, chemical action, temperature, and procedures. The top-loading Samsung without an agitator definitely lack in mechanical action and do not allow you to control the water levels. Our clothes come out with stains and sometimes soap residue as the water levels are frequently not high enough to properly saturate the clothing. Home Depot will not accept back an appliance if you have it in your home for 48 hours!!! I spent over $30,000.00 with them but now I will NEVER shop there again. Samsung will not do anything about our unhappiness so I will never buy any Samsung items again! If you buy one of these make sure wherever you buy it will take it back as I guarantee you will not like this machine.
I sold our old washer for $40.00 and would gladly exchange this piece of crap Samsung as it got our clothes much cleaner. Oh another thing I forgot to mention is the standard wash cycle takes over an hour where my old machine, which got the clothes cleaner, took about 35 minutes. So unless you have all day to do a few loads of wash avoid and Samsung washers!!! Feel free to call me if you have any questions **. I would welcome the chance to help steer you away from any Samsung appliances!

Samsung has some beautiful looking appliances with extra large capacity but the beauty stops there. The first time I used the dryer it did not completely dry. The dryer kept turning off after a minute. I tried all different settings to see if something was wrong with just that one setting. I took out the owner's manual to see if some button was pushed that caused it to act that way. According to book all was ok. I called Home Depot and was told I needed to contact Samsung. Samsung would not do anything 'til they received our warranty card. Well. How do I get that to them right away? Waited. Still no word from them and they should have received warranty card.
Called again. They say they still don't have card even though sent in 2 weeks ago. I continue to use the washer and dryer; many extended drying times to get clothes dry. Now the washer is acting up. You are allowed to open washer top when paused is hit to add something or check load if it gets unbalanced; well when I do that all the water and soap empties out of washer losing all the soap and water. Then it refills again. Still waiting to hear from Samsung.
Then there was the problem of getting our rebate back that was offered when we purchased our appliances. Sent all info to address indicated on rebates with all required info... Well, an e-mail came through saying they needed more info... Info sent which was product numbers which they had on receipt sent to them prior. Well, still no rebate. We should have went with another brand, because so far Samsung sucks!

My $800+ washer has a loud knocking sound after 2 years and only the normal cycle works. It is out of warranty for labor but certain parts remained covered. However, the authorized Samsung service companies that Samsung themselves provide won't come out for "parts" warranty or to diagnose the problem. This began about 8 months ago. I paid another company to come out and was charged for a part that did not fix the problem. They tried to say it was my plumbing. (I'm in a brand new house). I had my plumber look at the plumbing... It is fine, as I suspected. I called Samsung back. The customer service rep was polite and advised a technician would be out in the morning so I arranged my schedule and after we hung up I received an email cancelling the ticket#! I called back and the new rep apologized and said she reinstated the ticket.
The next day the authorized provider denied having this on the schedule and told me they would not replace the warranty parts and had never replaced these parts in "the 10 years they have serviced Samsung washers." Hmmm. I called Samsung again and was told "service dispatch" would call me within 1-2 business days... Really? No help and no resolution. This is just not worth my time and effort. I will never purchase another Samsung.

This company first booked the wrong date, then they were a no-show, then they needed to order parts. The part that arrived was either defective or the wrong one. My mother said a friend living in her old neighborhood had a Samsung washer that caught fire and it wasn't even running at the time. She was concerned because she said she knew my was also a Samsung. She said when the fire department arrived and put out the fire, which caused more damage than just the washer, they told her that there is a history of fires with Samsung washers. So I looked it up and sure enough, I seen many sites commenting on the problem.
One of the articles I read said that some of the fires started out by steam that had built up and got on the electronic parts causing a short and starting the fire. This is where my concern grew. Twice recently we have noticed water around the floor of the washer. It is not the door because if it's not closed tight, it won't run. I checked the seal but it was good and the washer is only a little over a year old. It seemed to be coming from somewhere inside and running out the bottom. This doesn't happen every time and has only happened twice but when is Samsung going to admit they have a problem with their washers and call for a recall?

Had mine for 2 months and it throws an error code almost every single time I do a load of laundry. It's either NF or DC code. They send a tech out to your house for 85 dollars and he literally only presses buttons, the thing works for 2 days and then right back to not working. Two weeks after this repair was completed the machine developed another problem. Now it will not rinse and spin. Called Samsung and am waiting on service. They were supposed to be here today but they were a no show. According to the service company I am waiting for parts. I guess my description of the problem was enough for them to determine the problem and order parts.

My machine was manufactured in May of 2010 and I installed it in my home 2011. My loads were light and usually only filled the machine drum about 1/4 to 1/2 capacity and about 2 to 3 washes per week. I was very careful with the unit. The door and rubber seal got wiped dry each time after each wash, the detergent drawer got pulled out and dried and kept out, so that the drawer slot could dry as well. A shot of white vinegar was added to the rinse water to kill any leftover suds and immediately another rinse was run with the softener. Used only HE detergent. The filter was cleaned and drained every couple of months.
While it worked, it was wonderful and did a great job for me and I give it Five Stars for that. The problem was the lousy manufacturing. Behind the drum are three connected struts (spider assembly) that stabilize it during the cycles. (See video at ** for how to replace the spider assembly.) These struts should be strong and be able to handle years of use. They are not. One of mine broke and I was told by the repairperson that I would have to basically gut the entire machine to replace the drum, the surrounding sheath, and possibly the motor if the shaft was bent. I blame the industry for charging a king’s ransom for shoddy, poor quality parts. Maybe your profit bottom line is great but you are destroying your reputation with the customer.

I purchased a Samsung Washer from Sears about two years ago, which is in immaculate condition, because I do take care of my things. However despite my efforts, around the bleach dispenser is beginning to rust. I contacted Sears who suggested that I contact the manufacturer (Samsung) which I did. I was told that the bleach should not have gotten on to the washer itself and that this was what might have caused it to rust. Of course this was the conclusion that I had come to myself.
The likelihood of bleach touching the rims of the dispenser is about 95% because if one is pouring liquid into something with a big opening (such as the dispenser) most likely there will be drops spilling about a quarter of inch, from where it is being poured. Samsung said that they would look into this for me and they asked for pictures which I have submitted. I have contacted them several times but they have not responded. I purchased a Samsung washing machine in February 2017. It worked well for about 3 weeks. I called the store where I had purchased it and purchased additional warranty and they said Samsung does not allow them to fix the equipment until after their year expires. So I called Samsung. They took two weeks to send someone out to fix the machine only to have it break again after 2 weeks. Called service again and had the same thing happen.
We have had service several times since only to have the machine break again. Finally in July I was very upset and ask to speak to a manager. The manager promised a refund. I sent the receipt in as requested. No call from Samsung so I contacted them and they say they never got receipt. I sent it again. No call again. I called and they said the ticket number had been closed but opened it again and asked for receipt AGAIN. This time I confirmed they got it. Today September 14 I called to see status and they say they did not get receipt.
Then they said it was blank. Then they said to resend. You sent it with them on the line. When they confirmed they got it the person on the phone from the escalation department says that I have only had one service call on record. Is this a joke??? I really don't understand. Now they are writing a new service ticket number. SERVICE!!! Really??? A machine that has not worked and that has had so many service calls. She tells me the service person has to say he can't fix it. That is not fair. He is an amazing tech who will probably fix the machine.
The problem is the machine will break again in 2 weeks as it has in the past. And then I will have to make another service call. It is a vicious cycle. This will continue happening until February when my warranty is over. What will happen then? Samsung will ask me to pay for service. Who is paying for the washes I am doing elsewhere now??? The time spent??? The gas to get there??? I have spent over an hour again with Samsung on the phone. Another waste of time. We are at step one again. The lady said all she could do was place a service call. And this is the escalation department!

I purchased a Samsung front end washing machine. I researched washing machines. All the reviews were good for this machine so I paid good money for this machine with all the bells and whistles. Got the machine setup by the dealer. Beautiful machine. It was hardly used. It started making noises. The machine quit. Would not spin. I called a repairman. He took it apart. The machine fell apart. It would cost more to fix it than to buy a new machine. So I called Samsung. The first number I called would not answer due to too many callers. I got another number called it. The first person took my information, gave me a ticket number, transferred me to another number, he took my information. He gave me two dealers' phone numbers that I need to talk to. Next day I called them and was told they are not dealers for Samsung. Called another dealer. They sent Samsung an email. Was told they won't do anything.
So next I email Samsung. They told me they don't have a problem with their front end washing machines. I told them "how do you know that if you won't report the problems". The machine fell apart. They know they have a problem with the top load machines so maybe the front end have the same problem. They told me that they only have one year warranty on the machines. So I feel they know that the machines will only last one year. In my opinion do not buy the expensive machines. They will fall apart in one year. I got screwed with a lemon and Samsung does not care about their products they have. Lemon, Lemon, Lemon. Nice on the outside poor quality in the inside.

I have never been so disappointed in a product, purchase and customer support in my entire life. I purchased this Samsung top loader washer wa50m7450aw almost 2 months ago, the first time we did laundry I noticed clothes were not clean, so I call Samsung, they walked me through the steps of making sure I was using right detergent, not overloading washer, right clothes softener. Then was maybe washer is not leveled, again that was fine too, then washer not calibrated properly, also that was ok. The Samsung started to say is an installation issue, well installers came and looked at it, and shake their heads.
In the meantime I still have this useless HD washer that all it does is massage my dirty clothes and takes all day doing so. Yesterday I was in hold with Samsung for 2 and a half hours until I hanged up as I have to work. Today I called again and they told me they review my invoiced so they can decide on refund and them picking up the masseuse. What is wrong with this company. All I want is a reliable washer. The worse experience ever, I had Samsung cell phone since they came out and no problems, but this appliance, I think they need to stop trying as they not good at it, and their customer service is the worse.

We purchased a top load Samsung washing machine and matching dryer from Home Depot, supposed to be energy efficient and water saver. It is neither of the 2. Washer continually throws codes which in turn adds more water and increases wash time wasting water and electricity. Our water bill has doubled since we've had this so called water saver washer. Very seldom runs the time that appears on the original setting. It ran for over 2 hours quite a few times. I have to pause the cycle and adjust the soaked laundry by hand just to watch the time increase again when I restart the wash.
Clothes don't come out clean most of the time. Such a waste of time, money, electric and water. Almost totally useless. When it does work properly I wanna do cartwheels through the house, which isn't often. Fighting with a load as I'm writing this review. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung washer and will definitely tell others what a waste of good money this was for us, and to shop for other brands. Horrible!!!

No replacement... Then another problem and this time it's taking 9 days to come despite "Samsung" making an appointment for me in 4 days. I have had 2 seizures over this. I can't take my special needs son to a laundromat and I’m a single mom transplanted from a different state. I will NEVER EVER recommend a Samsung. The machine WF70F5E5U4W/LE would stop spinning and we had to press the play button, but no error codes. This happened while the machine was in the guarantee. Happened rarely so we thought it was a glitch. After a while it started throwing E3 error which required replacement of the motor. The motor guarantee is 10 years, but the service guys told us they are instructed from Samsung, they had to also replace a module (electronic part) which was sending wrong data to the motor. Guess the new one was a fixed version. I contacted Samsung but they refused to acknowledge this to put the module into the motor replacement guarantee.
A friend of mine also bought the same machine but the error was thrown within the guarantee and was replaced both, and I believe this is an error in the whole series. Also the Samsung advertising the machines that has self-diagnostic (this one did not even show the error code) and mobile app to view the problems also showing this as a company not to trust in future product buying decisions. Took delivery of my new Samsung washer Model #WF42H5000A October 2015. When it went into the spin cycle, it spun like a freight train was in the house. Each time I started the washer, I chose the "low spin" setting but it always spun on "high spin". Not long afterwards, I started having to clean mold around the rubber "band" that is between the drum and door. The clothes were smelling moldy. Even after cleaning the mold off the rubber which was not easy to get to clean it, I realized that the smell was coming from behind the stainless steel drum. This week, I unloaded my bed sheets and notice they had been burned and torn. After closer observation, I notice the steel drum had separated and there was a gap within the drum. The container that holds fabric softener fills with water and keeps water there. It is the worst product! Do not buy a Samsung washer.

I was to go back to Home Depot and tell them. Home Depot could not believe what I was told, but went ahead and shipped me a new dryer, with same result. I called Samsung and was told the Upper Management had not had time to input those serial numbers, due to the machine was new, as of this date, still not a good serial number.
On 8/14/17 I noticed water running out of the garage. Water from washing machine in the laundry room had run out through the garage wall into cabinets in the garage and had caused a lot of damaged internal wall and cabinets, including baseboard. I called Samsung. They gave me two numbers, one a service claim number, and the other a damage claim number. Service tech arrived, asked if we had used the Deep Wash cycle and we had told him yes, Sunday, now this is Friday 8/18/17, I also called Damex to come look at damage. Tech explained that in fact the problem was in the washing machine and there was a new board that had to be installed to fix the overfill and high-speed spin cycle so the water would not be spun out of the tub.
On 8/23/17 Tech arrived and did the swap, and it seems to work fine. Meanwhile mold continues to grow, and have spoken with Samsung Representatives who continue to tell me the claim has been submitted. Damex (Flood And Damage Company) sent them pictures and estimate on damage. Today is 8/24/17. I have not receive authorization from Samsung to repair our home and the mold continues to spread. When I asked for authorization I was told it would take 7 to 14 business days.
Here is a company that is huge. Probably a very good company, but the people I have spoken with, do not have a clue, and could care less. I was told by them, "Sure you can fix it, we will probably pay for it". I asked the girl if she was kidding, no response. The Damage Control Company, has said, they have never seen anything like this. I have a lot of Samsung products, (5) major, and thankfully have not had a problem, but will think twice about buying another Samsung product with the response I have had with these people. Bought a Samsung Washer from CONN'S in 2015 with a four-year warranty but as of July 2017 I called the repair service to come out to check out my washer due to a leak. But when the repairman came there was no leak but my machine was full of rust in the bleach area and up under the top was all rusty so he told me that he could not repair it and that it was on the recall list. So he called for me to double check to make sure for me and yes it was true so after he left I called and gave them the model #WA45H7000AW/A2 and they told me that they needed to send someone out to check it themselves.
So they sent someone from Dish Network and when he came he lift the top and up under the top itself was also rusted. He told me he could not replace the top. It was not repairable so I called Samsung back and then they sent someone from their company Samsung and I was told that my machine was beyond repair. So he called it in and also sent a picture of the problem and in a long story short I was told that I would be accommodated and that I would receive a check in the amount of $573.71 and that was about three weeks ago and every time I call all I get is a run around. I just want my refund so that I could buy another washer. This is the worst company to deal with.

We bought a Samsung top loader washing machine several years ago (approximately 4 or 5). We had the issue of the recall with the inside drum spinning way too fast so we had that fixed or so we thought. After that it's been all downhill ever since. Now when doing a load of laundry it can take up to two hours sometimes. The washer keeps on resetting itself. When it gets going too fast it gets off balance. It will get down to 15 minutes then go back up to 20 minutes, goes to 14 minutes then back up to 19 minutes. It goes through this cycle. Sometimes it eventually makes it through the spin cycle completely and get all the water out and other times I get to wring the clothes out before putting in the dryer. We probably have the cleanest clothes in town since it takes 2 hours to wash but this is ridiculous!!! Will never buy a Samsung washer again!

Good Lord, where do I start? I bought a top loading washer and had no problems with it until Samsung started sending out warranty recall alerts. The first time I ever had to call for a repair, the only problem I experienced was the first of many certified technicians they could have sent me to. That company was rude beyond belief and made it very clear that they did not want business, which was fine. I called Samsung back and had the ticket sent elsewhere, which was also fine. That business was completely knowledgeable and courteous to their customers. Then the next recalls started pouring in. To my knowledge, there are currently 5 recalls AND a complete safety recall for my washer (and all Top Loading Washers within a so-many year range). They have sent someone to my house for 2 of the 5 recalls. The only reason they sent someone for the 2nd recall was because they outsourced technicians through Dish Network.
Every recall repair I have had has not been documented properly on Samsung's end, which means that they show my washer "out of warranty" (you are supposed to get an additional 1-2 year warranty per recall... From what the technicians said.) I had to call Samsung 5 times for the same repair request because every time I tell them to take the first technician's off their repair lists because no customer should let them in their house because they obviously don't want business, they tell me "OK, let me notate that and make sure we get your ticket sent to your preferred technician." They then assign the ticket TO that same technician and when I have to call back, they tell me they don't have any other certified technicians in the whole city of Colorado Springs. Uhhh, I already had a certified technician at my house, WTF.
I had to call the knowledgeable service company that had previously done work on my washer and ask what I could do to get Samsung on the same page. Today, I was finally told that in order to get through to Samsung (that they too ALWAYS have this problem with), that I needed to call Samsung and have them call this company on 3way. So I do that, and Samsung gets back on the line and says they were able to get the ticket switched over. WHY DID IT TAKE THAT MUCH EFFORT TO DO WHAT I ASKED IN THE FIRST PLACE?!
Now, on to warranties. Come on now. My washer has a sticker on the front that says 10 year warranty. I have never gotten a consistent answer from Samsung anytime I have called, or by any technician concerning warranties. I've never been given a consistent answer concerning warranties & the fact that they claim I have one or I don't have one, or how much time is given after a recall repair. Samsung's customer service is completely unknowledgeable and lacks customer service skills at all. They are also typically very hard to understand. So I don't know if I had 0 warranty, 1 year, 2 year, 3 year, or 10 year. I would think (after working at Lowe's) that a product of this price (mine was almost $1000) would be warranted somewhat by Lowe's, and also the manufacturer.
So basically, Samsung is telling me that is not the case. 2 people (out of the many I've talked to at Samsung) have told me that the whole unit was recalled and that I should get an exchange rebate for it instead of trying to fix it. So after having the unit for 2 years and it working fairly decent, they expect me to rebate it for a measly $140 (according to them that's the top monetary amount they give for this particular unit) towards another Samsung unit. NOT! I will never purchase what I expect to be top of the line... Only to be told that it's a freaking paper weight and they won't honor warranties and could care less that the one technician they want to connect their name with lacks empathy, customer service, or people skills. STOP TRYING TO MAKE WASHERS SAMSUNG!!!

Well I just want to let everyone know that the squeaky wheel does get oiled sometimes. I purchased a washer in July 2013. And through the years the area around the bleach dispenser had degenerated to the point where rust is flaking off everywhere and getting on my clothes. Of course by now everyone has gotten the runaround with Samsung refusing to do anything about it because they deem the problem to be cosmetic.
Well let me tell you they got an earful from me, not once, but twice. After receiving my first complaint I was contacted by a Samsung rep that told me that they would not fix it... With the following... "It is evident that you are unhappy with the rust forming around the bleach dispenser of your washer due to which the clothes in the washer are damaged. I also see that you would like to get a full refund on your washer. I can understand your standpoint. It saddens me to know that you have had an unpleasant experience. We apologize for any of the inconvenience. Rust formation is caused by extended exposure to moisture and/or adverse conditions. Environmental factors such as geographic location, room temperature, humidity and product usage, affect the potential for rust to form. I can definitely understand your concern, however rust is considered to be cosmetic damage and will not be covered under warranty."
Well this was the last straw. And my response to this rep is as follows (bear with me. It is quite long): Your response is exactly what I thought you would say. My response is this: Rust formation is caused by extended exposure to moisture and/or adverse conditions. Are you serious... You're blaming the consumer for the rust??? What a complete and utter load of crap!!! You, Samsung, are telling me that water/moisture is "Bad" for this washer??? I suppose the next thing you will say is that I should have only washed clothes one load a week so that the washer could dry out completely in between washing cycles... Because to use it any more than that would subject the washer to "Extended exposure to moisture".
If your washer cannot withstand multiple wash cycles on any given day... Or over consecutive days, then you should not be in the business of producing and selling washing machines. I have purchased in my lifetime at least 6-7 sets of washers and dryers Within my family. Hundreds And none... I repeat... None have ever rusted so extensively from being used under what are, in fact, nothing more than normal conditions.
And what the hell is "And/or adverse conditions"... Other than a subjective term so that you, Samsung, can weasel out of any responsibility for the crap of a rust bucket you produced. What are you suggesting. That the consumer is doing something to their machine that isn't "Normal"? Such as what... Exactly. Putting clothes in it, putting some bleach, soap and softener in it, turning it on and walking away? Be specific here, because what you are suggesting is totally insulting my intelligence and the thousands of other consumers that have been forced to endure this problem.
Environmental factors such as geographic location, room temperature, humidity and product usage, affect the potential for rust to form. So now you say it must be where I have my washer. The temperature of the room. Humidity (geeze... What the hell do you think you're going to have when you have running water in an room where the washing machine cycles can extend well over an hour.) Then to say Rust is being caused by "Product usage" is insulting in and of itself. How are we supposed to use your washing machine. Never put water in it... Never wash clothes in it... Never put bleach in the bleach dispenser. Wash clothes only when there is a full moon. When cows fly?
First of all Water by itself Would not cause rust had the washer been painted and the paint sealed properly. How would I know this??? Experience, Samsung... Of using other washers and washing tens of thousands of loads of wash over my lifetime. And never experiencing the rust issue that your rust bucket of a washing machine has. Pure and simple is this... Without proper clear coating this washing machine, and doubly so on the area surrounding the bleach dispenser the certainty for compromising the finish was assured before this washer ever left the manufacturing plant.
You, Samsung, sell residential washing machines in every single state in the U.S. And in countries all over the world... And now you are saying that your product is not able to withstand the climate in these geographic locations, and the result is that your product can and will... What... Rust??? So now Samsung You're blaming the failure of your product on Climate change??? You have got to be in total denial. Even if, that were the case How is this the fault of the consumer? Fact is... It is not. If geographic location is the cause for rust, then the fault is yours for having failed to consider this in your design of this washing machine.
But, as in my case, considering that this rust bucket is located inside a residence, inside a separate room called a "Laundry room" where the ambient temperature is between 68 and 80 degrees depending upon the time of year, and is being used as would be expected for any washing machine to be used I.E. Normal standard operating usage... To suggest that the location of my washing machine is the cause Is ludicrous And just another excuse in your blame game in trying to lay the cause of this problem in the lap of the consumer in order to avoid having to do, what you know, is the right thing to do... Which is to replace that part of the washing machine that holds the bleach dispenser.
To put it succinctly... The rusting of your bleach dispenser is not normal. If it were normal, it would be happening to all washing machines being manufactured with the bleach dispenser in the inside top of the washing machine. Fact is, Samsung, is that you have thousands of consumers speaking out on this issue telling you that what they are experiencing is not normal. You just don't want to listen.
But... Just for ** and giggles... How bout listening one more time To this... All of these thousands of consumers have purchased hundreds of thousands of washing machines over their lifetimes. It is these consumers who are telling you the rusting of their washing machines around the bleach dispenser is something they have not encountered before. If they had And if it was considered, as you say, Just a cosmetic affect... Why would they be complaining at all.
Common sense would dictate that they would know this is something that is "Normal" And to be expected because it happens in all washing machines. The fact that we, the consumer, are telling you, Samsung, that it isn't. And we are telling you by the thousands... Should tell you something. You should be listening and the fact that you aren't Is to your detriment Because For every customer that you give the lame ass "Cosmetic" excuse to, You will never find them purchasing any other Samsung product. You live by the sword. You die by the sword.
What is so ridiculous, Samsung, is how you keep dancing around this issue. Laying blame on anything and everything, and everyone else instead of admitting that your placement of the bleach dispenser was not thought out completely and is, in fact, a design flaw that you, Samsung, are responsible for. The fact that the one place on your washing machine that is rusting the most is the bleach dispenser speaks absolute volumes to any reasonable responsible person. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that bleach, A caustic chemical Eats everything it touches And you, Samsung, choose to put your bleach dispenser in an area surrounded by what??? Metal. And then take no precautions to ensure that the bleach will not touch any metal parts... Knowing that moisture from washing clothes will have a what. An adverse effect??? Yea. That's right.
Here's your adverse effect you inferred was caused by the consumer. You, Samsung, and your design team, created the adverse effect from the get go by the design placement of your bleach dispenser. The consumer, who unwittingly purchased your potential rust bucket, is not, and never has been the culprit here. As the repairman who came to fix the stabilizing arms on this rust bucket told me when he saw the rust, It's bleach eating through the paint and then water mixing with the exposed metal parts. In other words Samsung... A poor design choice for the location of your bleach dispenser. But yea. We all know your answer... It's the consumer's fault.
I'm thinking I just might send this email on to my local tv station, as other consumers have done. Seems that is the only way to get the necessary attention to fixing the problem for all consumers affected by rusting of your washing machines. **. Please everyone. Take a look at these websites... Samsung has set a precedent. They refunded one woman 80% and the gentleman received a full refund For rust issue.
Bottom line, the rep contacted me back and told my complaint was being escalated up to the executive dept for review. They called me and indicated they would do a "One time" repair and are replacing the entire top of my washing machine. Better than nothing. I say. At least I won't have to look at rust for awhile. I believe the fact that I told them I would take it to my local media outlets is what got their attention.
Also... And for all of those whose clothes won't come clean... I have never gone by "Let the washer decide how much water." I have let the washer do its weighing. Then once the water is being dispensed I allow it to wet all the laundry. Then turn off the washer, put the soap and softener in And then turn it back on. Amazing that you get a "Normal amount of water to wash your clothes this way.
The stabilizing arms went out on this machine about a year and a half ago and were replaced. Kept getting the NF code. I really do believe that the problem which caused all the unbalancing of this washer and ultimate recall is due to the lack of water displacement. The clothes do not have enough liquid to "Float" and actually move around inside the washer in an equal pattern. What ends up happening is more clothes end up on one side of the drum than the other. When it goes into the spin cycle the washer can't handle the uneven weight and becomes even more unbalanced.
My opinion is that in Samsung's attempt to be ecological... They produced a flawed product. This measurement of water based on "Weighing" of clothes is crap. Saving water only goes so far. What's the point if you're then going to have to spend triple the wash time. Triple the electricity. Triple the dry time. I hope to get four more years out of this washer And will replace it with Anything but Samsung. The only reason for two stars is that they are going to replace the top... Had they not done this They would have gotten 1.

Around 2012, I purchased a new Samsung front load HE washer and dryer pair. I figured that the Samsung name would mean I would get something of decent quality. Boy was I wrong. First of all, it took about 10 empty wash cycles to clear out all of the leftover oils, greases and other such stuff from the tub (it smelled like solvent or something). Then, I found out that the detergent never fully empties properly. THEN, I ruined about $140 of clothes when I did a load of color laundry two loads after doing a load with bleach. Seems the bleach got "stuck" in the line and flushed out two loads later. The washer never actually did a good job of washing the clothes and shortly after the first couple of uses began to smell mildewy/moldy. They would have a borax smell to them from not properly rinsing (it NEVER rinses well) and would generally not be able to clean the clothes well anyway.
I used Tide HE detergent and HE compatible softener (Downy) and bleach products. I clean the washer every two months with two Affresh tablets in a row (I also drain the sump and rinse the plastic filter for the drain pump), and I only do about 3 loads per week, and now just this week, within 5-10 minutes of finishing a cycle it will stop and display "DC" error code. Apparently that is due to the washer detecting an unbalanced load and shutting down to prevent damage. Problem is, I did an Affresh cycle a day or so ago and it did it then. Nothing was in the tub except the water in the sump, and yet still it will error out with "DC" and I have to come in and open and close the door, then press the play button.
So, for $600 sale price, it does not clean properly, ruins clothing. If you are dumb enough to use their bleach dispenser tray, smells like musty moldy goo and transfers the smell to the clothes, and has never once done a satisfactory job washing clothing. I have to set it to heavy load with extra rinse just to try and rinse the soap out of the clothes, meaning it takes about an hour to do just one load of laundry... Minimum. If the clothing is really dirty, it generally means two washes in a row, otherwise it will come out smelling of whatever it went in smelling like. I use several bounce sheets to offset the smells when I put them in the matching Samsung dryer (which if you are wondering is a slightly less piece of junk as it cannot sense when clothing is dry to save its life) just to combat the smell, otherwise people WILL notice the mildew smells.
Unfortunately around the same time I had bought several Samsung products, all of which do not operate properly. Samsung AIO laser monochrome printer (original was DOA, replacement did not last past the starter cartridge that comes with the printer... MAYBE 200 pages was all it ever did). Samsung 65" TV (mini port box broke after software update, forced to pay $150 for replacement, will randomly restart and volume goes up and down without user input. Also has issues with LED backlighting showing through the display). Samsung BluRay/Surround Speakers (Rear speakers cut in and out and clip horribly, Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) never worked, and had to buy optical cable because the HDMI sound option never works... Presumably because of the Anynet stuff).
Samsung Computer Monitor (lasted 12 weeks... Warranty not honored by Samsung). Samsung Galaxy S4 cellphone (could not use Google Maps or play games as it would overheat and shut down). Samsung Washer (detailed above). Samsung Dryer (Does not "sense" the clothing is not dry and turns off prematurely. I can load a fresh washed load into the dryer and turn it to the dryest setting and it says it will take ~35 min, then 3 minutes later it says it is done. I have to use the timed dry. One of the legs came stripped, had to get a piece of lumber made to keep it from wobbling).
So, it looks like Samsung in general is just putting out junk. I will never buy anything with the Samsung name on it if I can help it. They do not make good products, they do not honor warranties, and they ignore defective product reports and never issue recalls unless their product catches fire on an airplane. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of buying a Samsung product and reading this article to go with just about any other brand name. Samsung does not seem to care about consumers and relies way too heavily on their worldwide dominance in the electronics markets. I gave them a chance to fix or replace the printer, the washer, the TV and the monitor, and they let me down each and every time.
They either claim I must have done something to it, or as is the case with the TV, they are not responsible for an appliance that Best Buy installs. (Best Buy would not help either since I did not buy THEIR warranty). If it was just the washer, or just the washer and dryer even, I would say the chance I got a lemon or two would be pretty high, and I doubt I would be here whining about my experience. But EVERYTHING I have purchased which has been branded Samsung has not only been of poor quality, but have all had manufacturer defects or design issues which prevent them from doing what they were built to do. DO NOT BUY.

I had one of the top loading Samsung washing machines that was recalled. First, let me just start off by warning you of some issues with my model WA48ADSHAWR. Regardless of what setting you use on the High Efficiency unit it does not fill with adequate levels of water to fully clean or rinse without residue. You either end up with dirty clothes, or soap residue. The bleach dispenser rusted out within six months.
Now about the recall. It was recalled because on spin cycle the lid might sling off. I had it fixed by their recall repair team which by the way was DISH Network. Crazy. Not sure what they have to do with appliance repair but that is who they sent to fix my machine which basically the solution was bolting the drum down. The repair tech said if anyone comes out to repair the unit they will have to start the machine, fill it with water, stop machine, push the drum down, remove screws used to bolt the drum down then proceed with the repair. This machine has never cleaned even the smallest of loads. Soap residue is always left on my clothes, and dirt on the clothes still remains. I will never, ever, ever, ever buy anything made by Samsung again. It is pure junk. Garbage. I bought the top of the line top loader at the time.

Purchased Washer and Dryer. Had to pay extra for delivery. Purchased extended warranty. Dryer drum broke after 3 months and 7 loads. Samsung said they would accommodate because there was no local repair person so would exchange but I had to pay $500 for delivery. They would refund but not reimburse the $500 delivery on the original purchase nor the extended warranty. So I have a dryer not working and that cost over $1400 with delivery and warranty. It has taken two months to get to this point because they cancel the ticket number so they don't have to deal with the issue and I have to keep calling to start a new ticket.

We purchased one of Samsung's washers that was recalled Nov 2015. I submitted all my information on Samsung's Recall web page, model number, serial number, etc. I was given two options: 1. Rebate or 2. Repair washer. I chose the rebate option. I also followed up by calling Samsung's Customer Service department. Long story short, I have my new Samsung washer, old washer picked up by Lowe's, call Samsung to see what I need to do to get my rebate. They insist that an email with a pdf was sent to me with instructions. I've searched my email, junk mail, trash, etc. "NOTHING".
I've even contacted Yahoo customer service and they went back to Jan 2017 and nothing was sent to my email address from Samsung. Surprisingly, Samsung does not keep track of their OUTGOING rebate emails, they only track the INCOMING emails... Four years and 4 months ago I purchased a $995 Electric Steam Dryer from Lowe's. The dryer drum will not turn although the engine hums in the background. We just had the appliance repair person tell us that we need to pay nearly $400 to replace the motor that has burned out! BTW, my husband and I are retired so not a heavy user of the dryer. The real sting was when I asked the technician what the warranty was on the replacement motor, I was told 30 days! I just confirmed with Samsung via phone call that this is correct, Samsung does not warranty replacement parts required for the repair of their products. We also had to deal with the repair of the washer due to their recall issue last year! Why I ever bought this overpriced, underperforming appliance from a technology company, I will never forgive myself. But it will be the last!

I purchased the WA400PHJDWR/AA top loading washing machine. This is the worst appliance I have ever purchased. Folded clothes going into the washing machine come out still folded. The washer does not clean. Not only does it not clean, it drips water into the bowl constantly, now it's leaking and my basement is musty. My washing machine is currently under a recall for the bedding cycle. They have provided notice that I cannot use my washing machine for mattress pads, coats and jackets, rugs. Why did I buy this washer again? The recall process is absolutely terrible. Another example of a company skirting its responsibility to stand behind a product that actually services the intended purpose. All this washing machine has done is fill the pockets of the shareholders and the fill the landfills with trash. Think twice before buying a Samsung washer.

I am trying in desperation for Samsung to address the broken 5-day old $900 dryer that has been sitting idle for 2 months. For reference, complaint **. Long story short, the dryer broke 5 days after I got it. It was a nightmare to get the attention of Home Depot where I bought it. They wouldn't help and they sent me to you. The sequence of events since then:
I had to spend over 30 minutes on the phone w/ a rep literally walking through every troubleshooting procedure although it was CLEARLY an issue with either the ignitor or thermostat (no heat at all). Ridiculous requests like trying fewer clothes, different modes, etc.) The dryer has zero heat yet the agent insisted and claimed it was so the repair person would come with the right parts. Repair person comes, no parts (as I suspected, total waste of time running through the troubleshooting). Repair person orders parts, parts show up broken from Samsung. Repair person re-orders parts, parts show up broken from Samsung AGAIN.
Samsung contacts me and I inform them of the problem, you say they will overnight parts to the repair person. The next day I receive an AUTOMATED call from Samsung saying that the repair person is unable to address the issue and that they have an "Accommodation for me". No connection to a human, instead it asks me to call a number and hangs up. I call the number, which states you are only open from 2-5pm ET. Who only works three hours a day? I have since called that number over 10 TIMES, there is never an answer, just a continuous hold loop (I'm on hold with them as we speak, running time for call is 16:54 and counting).
Fed up with all of this, I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I received a voicemail from Samsung from the office of the president, leaving a name and extension and claiming once again that you had made an accommodation. Keep in mind, nobody has informed me of what this accommodation is or when it will happen because NOBODY WILL ANSWER THE PHONE. The agent left her extension and claimed to have sent me an email. There was no email so I tried to call the office of the president back, and: The extension does not have a name or voicemail attached to it. And, surprise surprise, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a human to pick up the phone
Please contact me at **. All I want and have ever wanted is for you to either fix the issue or replace the dryer and do it quickly. I just paid $900 for a high-end dryer that has been useless for 2 MONTHS. It is clear to me that Samsung cares nothing about their customers. As such, I will be posting this message and all other correspondence to every social platform that I am able to. I will write to you every day, and post every day, until this is resolved. If you don't care about your customers, maybe you will care when enough people realize how poorly you treat your customers and refuse to buy your products.

We bought a Samsung washing machine 4 years ago that has had to be repaired too many times to count. We bought an extended warranty to help cover the costs of the repairs. Turns out that this particular machine was involved in a massive recall issued in Nov 2016. We participated in the recall "fix" that Samsung suggested and were promised another extended warranty for our washing machine. In June 2017 the machine stopped working properly again. I immediately called Samsung who said that they would just issue us a full refund for the machine instead of sending someone to fix it. We were told that the refund would be issued and that we would get an email within 3 business days explaining their protocol for disposing of a recalled machine, a protocol that has to be followed in order to get the refund.
We have been assured many times that this email would be sent within 2-3 business days and everytime we call back they tell us that we received misinformation and that it will be another few days. Last week we were told that they miscalculated our refund and that we have to start the process all over again. I spoke to a supervisor on July 21st and explained to her that I understand that the refund is going to take some time but that I need the info regarding the recall protocol to get rid of the broken machine so that I can replace it with a new one. I was assured that the Executive Customer Relations dept would email me by 7/26 with those directions.
That email never came, I called back and was told that they could email me the info I need while on the phone with me. That again was "misinformation" and they cannot send me this information. I am extremely frustrated with the incompetence of Samsung's Customer relations, no one is on the same page, we feel like we have been lied to over and over again with no end in sight. I have spent countless hours and money in a laundromat these past 5 weeks when I shouldn't have to because I spent $600 on a washing machine that has been recalled.

I bought a washer machine at Best Buy on June 2016. The machine was broken and it was replaced for a new one a few weeks later. The new washer machine broke again early June 2017 (this model of washer machine had a recall, but my serial number was not), and I called technical support. A technician came 3 times to fix it, however, the problem continued.
I decided to request a refund since there was no solution for this machine. On June 23, I called and requested a refund. I sent them about 6 emails to the email address they provided - including a ticket number they gave me - on different days with the requested, bill of sale. Finally, one of the agents was very helpful when she called on a Saturday, and preferred to stay on the phone until she received my email, which she did as we were speaking on the phone.
For the past 20 days, I have been receiving and making phone calls from Samsung regarding the refund and 10 agents after and two weeks later, a Samsung agent said the refund was approved and they only needed my consent in order to send me a check, which I provided 3 times. (I have to say that 3 more agents provided me with the same information: my refund was approved, a check would be on their way in a couple business day/48 hours/before the end of the weekend, and to wait for an email on how and when the washer machine was going to be pick.)
Today, after not hearing or receiving any email or check on the mail, I called again and the first two agents were able to see that a refund was approved and that I needed to wait for the email with instructions - still no answer on the check. When I asked how much longer or if there was a telephone number or email for the refund department where I could contact them, they said there wasn't. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and finally the last agent passed me successfully to her supervisor (two times before I tried the same and after a 45 minutes and a 35 minutes call with 2 agents and placed on hold for 8 minutes on the first call and 12 on the second one, the call got "drop" on Samsung's end.)
The supervisor transferred me to another department where the lady said my request wasn't approved. After letting her know my previous conversations with agents, she stated that the agents have provided me with the wrong information and it will take 7 to 10 days more to get "an email confirmation for approval". This means that I will be with a broken washer machine for about a month and a half now. As one of the agents previously mentioned to his surprise and apologized on this bad experience, this issues are normally solved very fast, but in my case it has been a month with this "refund process".
Additionally, today I got a call from Samsung for a survey on my experience with them. Very nice lady and she understood my position, but unfortunately I had to tell her the reasons I'm not satisfied. Neither would recommend anybody to purchase a Samsung appliance. Hopefully somebody at Samsung reads this and will send an email or give me a call. The number where Samsung has been calling from and even left a voice mail (786) area code, does not takes calls, it doesn't even ring if you try to reach them. So I am force to try to reach them to the 1 800 number, where as the last person mentioned, agents have been providing me with wrong information.

We have been buying Samsung products for years and always loved them, until our last experience. We had a washer recall. Our washer worked fine, but they sent us a Samsung repair man to ensure that the "tub" was safe. The repairman broke our machine. It took a month for Samsung to get another repair man to "fix" the problem. He told us the washer was gone, and he would put in for us to get a refund. After about two weeks, we never heard from Samsung. We called and we're assured that we were getting a full refund. We bought another Samsung washer. Another two or three weeks went by, and no refund. We called Samsung again. We were assured of a refund. Finally, a week or so passed, and we got an e-mail from Samsung to fill out for our refund. I got to the second to last step in filling out the information and was flabbergasted.
Samsung required us to take a photo of our model number of our old washer! The men that delivered our washer left the broken washer outside on our street. Our washer had been taken away a week before by the county. I called Samsung to report what had happened. They were stubborn and insisted that I should have known to keep my old washer. I got nowhere with Samsung. I went to the county dump, only to find that my washer had been taken away to a landfill in Miami days before. I called Samsung and spoke to a supervisor. He was most kind, and told me the board would review our case. We received a call within 10 minutes stating that we should have known to take a photo of the old washer. I will NEVER by a Samsung again. We have a Samsung dryer, and a $5,500 Samsung 3D tv. We were going to purchase a refrigerator, but no way now. So I call back and I am told the repair they are doing is only to reinforce the machine so it won't explode, this was not really what I was looking for. If I decide not to get the repair they will give a big cheque for $45.00, so I am wondering where in God's name am I going to get a new machine for $45.00... So I opted for neither option. I am another proud owner of this piece of junk (Samsung Top Load washer Model WA400PJHDWR/AA). We had it serviced for the recall that they have on the exploding time bomb. The machine worked fine, but due to the seriousness of the recall we had the work done. They also offered us a crappy rebate to exchange the machine for a new Samsung washer. That, or a paltry sum of $25 if we buy another brand. We opted to have it fixed, per their recommendation.
Since the recall was so heavy in demand, we got a guy from Dish Network to fix ours. Samsung had subcontracted them. After the repair was done the machine never ran right again. It would fault out for unbalanced loads constantly. A small load of 2 pair of underpants, and a couple of socks would cause it to go off balance. Now, after 6 months, we have replaced with a cheap Maytag. I will never buy Samsung again. When the tablets and phones die, Apple will get my business. Samsung is crap for a company. First like most past reviewers, I would even give Samsung washers 1 star, but had notice, secondly, and reviews on the Samsung site are screened and rejected. The washers & dryers are Chinese junk sold by a Japanese company. We paid almost four grand for a commercial washer & dryer combo and received some of the poorest quality equipment on the market. The washer by all appearances has a stainless steel drum, it is actually a stainless steel sticker, inside the machine, naturally it peeled over time (2 years) and rusted out causing rust stained laundry. There is practically no customer service. The dryer, which is for another review cost the warranty company so much. After 3 years they just issued a check for the full price of the dryer instead of attempting to repair it again.

The only way I can get rid of this is to catch the washer as it starts the rinse cycle, stop it and add a 3 gallon bucket of water. This washer clearly doesn't use enough water to effectively clean clothes. Also it frequently goes off balance, displaying a "4E" code. It takes almost an hour and a half to to do one load in this washer. Such a time waster to not even get a clean load! I bought the washer & dryer in July 2016. They worked great at first. I got lucky and my washer was not part of the recall. My problem started with the dryer. About 4 months after buying it it stopped drying and it shocked me. I called service. They came and changed the heating element. It dried better but was still taking a long time and it was still shocking us! The top of the dryer mostly and once when I throwing wet towels in it zapped me! I called service again and he changed the heating element but said it was fine. He said I needed to use the anti-static so I wouldn't be shocked. So I have a dryer that shocks me and it's ok? Also he said make sure eco dry is off if I want my clothes to dry. It did get better with drying after he serviced it. It still shocks us though. Now the washer it's almost a year old. I put a load in and it made the unbalanced sound when I opened the lid and the tub was about 6 inches lower than normal.
I moved the load around even though it seemed balanced. Wouldn't spin. I turned it off, set it to spin out. Nothing. It wouldn't move. I restarted the load and the little dial just rotated. The washer didn't budge. I called service and told them. He had me balance the load again, check the hoses, then pull out the load of clothes, and finally he had me push two buttons so it would re-calibrate the drum. It was supposed to spin and shut off after 2 minutes. Well after 5 minutes the (LED) dial was still rotating and it finally threw a CE code and he says "Well you need it repaired." So I ask how long will this take. I need my washer. I now have a tote of soaking wet clothes in my laundry room. He says 24 to 48 hours.
He gives me a service number and says, "The service department will call you with an appointment in 24 to 48 hours!" It's June 30. My warranty expires July 7. It's the Fourth of July weekend. I figure they will call me on the 5th and it will be out of warranty by the time I get a repair date. It was a great set when it worked but when it breaks it goes down hard. I just don't understand how a $1660 set doesn't last a year. When I bought this set I was expecting to get at the least 10 years out of it. My sister has a W&D that is 25 years old and still going strong. I on the other hand am going to buy another washer & dryer today have it delivered tomorrow and I bet I will still not have heard from Samsung by then. My advice stay away from Samsung products!

There are 4 parts to the rubber gasket around the door, so there are many places for mold to grow. But even more disgusting, was the detergent drawer. The fabric softener dispenser wasn't emptying, so I pulled the drawer completely out, and inside the empty drawer soot was filled with black mold, as well as inside and under the drawer. How can my clothes possibly be clean?? I feel like everything I've washed is contaminated with black mold. No wonder my towels smell funky. I bought my machine in 2009. Since day one there has been an issue with mold. It became obvious within months of purchase that the rubber lining in the door opening was holding water and creating a build up of mold. I cleaned the lining with a washcloth and bleach and began a bi-weekly rinse cycle with bleach and water set to hot. I leave the door open between uses to allow the rubber lining and the drum to completely air dry. 4 years ago I began having serious health issues which cannot be resolved. I've been to doctors in almost every field of medicine. All my tests are conclusive that there is something wrong but no one can figure out what is causing me to be sick, much less find a way to treat my condition.
A few months back, I noticed the fabric softener wasn't draining properly. I removed and rinsed the drawer, reinserted and started a load of laundry. I checked the fabric softener after the cycle ended and it was still not draining. When I pulled the drawer out, I noticed something fell from the top of the drawer slot. I looked inside and I almost passed out.
The plastic casing was completely covered in black mold. Some of it was dried out and crunchy. It looked like little black curled up worms because it was living inside the plastic casing holes. I have cleaned it with wire brushes, toothpicks, old toothbrushes, canned air used for electronics, my husband's air compressor, a wire baby bottle brush (I purchased it to use for this purpose only), washcloths soaked in bleach, washcloths soaked in ammonia and I even managed to maneuver my vacuum cleaner hose into the slot and tried to suck the gunk out. I was able to remove some of the build up but I can still see a lot more in the places I can't get to.
This was a sight that I cannot unsee. The thought of me dressing my children, husband and myself in clothing bathed in disease infested water gives me nightmares. We clean our faces and bodies in washcloths and towels that were washed with moldy water. I'm beyond horrified and I attribute my medical problems to my Samsung Front Load Washing Machine. I took a sample of the mold to my doctor in hopes he could help me find out for sure if this caused my illness. I'm waiting on the results.

Activewash AquaJet VRT washer-I purchased this washer for the sink option which is pretty cool but honestly don't use much. This is a larger washer than I need but figured bigger was better than too small... Wrong. When you do small loads it throws the washer off balance. I called Samsung and their comment was that this was normal and it states this in the manual (which it does), according to Samsung small loads don't need to be spun. WTH? This is only true if you want to run your dryer for 2+ hours to get them dry. Also, the only cycle that basically works for any size load is normal.
All the other cycles have spin issues. There was a recall for my machine but their solution to the problem was to send me a stick on label to replace over the cycle selector which changes the cycle you use for bedding or heavy duty loads to a low spin cycle which means your clothes come out soaking wet and again take FOREVER to dry. How can you make a washer that cannot properly spin the clothes? This is basic functionality!
Multi steam vent sensor dryer-I have a gas dryer which first off was a nightmare getting installed (not Samsung's fault), I finally get the dryer installed and ask the installer about the steam feature and he proceeds to tell me that you need to purchase a separate install kit to use the steam/wrinkle/refresh features and then I can call them back to install that, for another fee of course... Needless to say I was pissed that no one told me that upfront. Also, the auto dry features rarely ever gets all the clothes completely dry (waistband on jeans always damp). The minimum dry time on auto dry is 1 hour and 15 minutes and still not dry. I will not be purchasing Samsung products in the future.

After many repair attempts, yesterday Samsung sent Cyber World Electronics, LLC out to look at my washer (Model#WF42H5000AW/A2). After 5 months of issues and 2 repair companies later, this company ended up replacing the main wire harness which was broken. It was at the back of the washing machine and this harness holds the wires tight so that the washer can run properly. Because mine was broken, it caused months of issues concerning the rinse/spin cycle. When I washed my laundry it would take hours to complete a load because it was stuck on the rinse/spin cycle and even when it completed a cycle the clothes would come out damp/wet because the spin cycle was so slow.
Anyway the repair guy replaced the part, made sure it was tight and since then the washer has been running like it did the first day it was installed. If you are having issues with the rinse/spin cycle and it takes hours to finish the cycle and the clothes/towels are still really wet, have them replace this part. I assume it originally broke during shipping/delivery. I think Samsung should be aware of this and it may be the answer to the rinse/spin issue! Check the wire harness!

Purchased the Samsung washing machine. The quick cycle will sometimes take hours. The sensor is off. The fabric slot doesn't empty and the bleach opening is solid rust all around. The recall on the machine had one service out here leaving the top not secured down and machine unbalanced. The second service yet to arrive gave me a window of time from 9 am till 7 pm--the service is disgusting. Calling the company to vent just gets the usual rot comments. I just got in the mail a sticker which tell you not to use the heavy duty cycle to do larger things. All in all I would have gotten the same results if I pasted duct tape over the heavy duty spot to remind me not to use it at least I wouldn't have had to wait 10 hours for a repair service to fix what another repair service messed up.

I bought a top loader washer in November 2015. It is now May of 2017 and the washer goes nuts when it's on spin. It bangs and completely moves all over the place. I placed a service call first to Lowe’s because we bought the warranty. That department sent someone out to fix the problem but honestly it got worse. I call back and they tell me Samsung is sending another part. Fast forward 3 weeks and the part never arrived. I then contact Samsung support and put a service ticket in with them because my warranty is still active with them. Fast forward another two weeks and I contact them again and they tell me that I was unreachable and they had to close the ticket!!! What!!! I was very upset. What does that mean unreachable? My email, telephone number and address are still the same! I had a Whirlpool dryer for 12 years before I had to service it. I'm going back to Whirlpool, screw the pretty of Samsung, their products are junk.

I purchased a Samsung WA50F9A8DSW top load washer in 2014. As soon as the 1-year warranty expired, the washer started shaking violently when it entered the spin cycle and then shutting down and displaying error code 8E2. In 2016, I received notice that my washer was one of the units involved in the massive Samsung top load washer recall. In this recall, Samsung offered to either come to my house to bolt the lid down tighter on my machine or to give me a credit on a new machine (the credit is double if you decide to buy a new Samsung washer).
The credit for a new machine was nowhere close to enough to replace the washer, even if I opted to buy another Samsung machine, which I definitely do not want to do. I decided to allow Samsung to bolt the lid down tighter so that at least the lid would not fly off and injure someone in my family or destroy something else. This extended the warranty on the machine for 1 year from the date of work.
My problem with Samsung's "recall" is that it does nothing to address the true problem with the washer. The 8E2 error code is a MEMS sensor error. I think the washer fails to distribute the load properly and the drum spins out of control. Rather than fix the actual problem, Samsung's approach is to secure the lid so that it doesn't fly off. Unfortunately for me, this does nothing to make my washer usable. The problem has gotten progressively worse, and it is now to the point that I have to sit with the machine when washing clothes, and most times stop it in the spin cycle so that I can manually wring water out to reduce weight. I've experimented with different load sizes but with no success.
Samsung did offer to repair the machine and assigned a local repair service to do the work. However, the repair services is unreliable and unprofessional and completely missed the appointment. I called Samsung again and asked that a different service be assigned. Samsung gave me a number to call, but when I called this second repair company I was told they do not service my area. I called Samsung yet again and learned that, in spite of the fact that I live in the Washington DC metro area, the first repair company was the only Samsung certified service available.
By this time I was completely disgusted with Samsung's customer service and demanded to talk to a customer care supervisor. I explained my problem yet again to the supervisor and told him what I thought about Samsung's approach to fixing this problem. The supervisor told me to email him my sales receipt and Samsung would refund the original sale price to me. I emailed the receipt, but in spite of several attempts to contact Samsung, they have failed to follow through on their offer. This experience has completely turned me off to Samsung products. I will never again purchase a Samsung appliance. Their total disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable to me.

Funny it is that after 6 years the motor in my washer went out and not even after 3 months of purchasing the dishwasher the motor in it went out. What a great job Samsung and it's only my husband and myself, two lonely little people so we don't do a lot of laundry nor do we do a lot of dishwashing yet your product breaks down on us after we paid top-dollar. In June of 2010 Purchased Samsung Washer and Dryer with Pedestals (Model #448AAPXAA02) at the cost of nearly $3400.00. I loved them both, then about a month ago, I noticed the washer was leaving my clothes wetter than usual, gradually got worse. Called Appliance Dr. Authorized Samsung repair. Quoted me close to 1500. Just to repair, what they said was a factory defect, using an inferior metal with stainless steel. The inferior metal completely disintegrated and damaged the drum and the pump and a rubber seal. Releasing about a pint of disintegrated metal through the filter. It would cost over 800.00 just for labor, and over 600 for parts. I could buy a new one for less.
I sent an email to Samsung President, and the reply was, it was out of warranty, that was all they could say and could not do a thing. I am a recent widow, and when I purchased these products, thought they would last longer than 6+ years. What has this country come to when everything is about money, and manufacturers do not take pride in what they produce. I don't care if it's a year old or 6+. If manufacturer's defect, they should make it right. Never buy a Samsung product again.

As I grabbed my clothes out I burned my hand and have a huge burn.
I called Samsung to tell them how dangerous their product was and if the grey rubber smelling smoke meant the washer was done or if it could be repaired. They would just say that Samsung has no recalls for the product and wasn't aware of this issue even though typing the model number and "smoke" into Google had a ton of results with people having the same problem I had. I recently bought a Samsung washer and dryer, it was one one the worst mistake I have ever done. Bought a Samsung washer and dryer front loader, the begin Conn's knows about the the bad quality of this appliances that why they only give you on 14 days for returned time, otherwise they would have give you 60 day or more like other places. First this machines cost me over almost two grand, for that price you would expect topnotch reliability, the washer takes 3 time to clean properly. So is a waste of time, water, electricity, detergent in order to cleans anything, the washer looks great from outside with all the bells and whistles but performance is a garbage, the dryer the same thing. It take 3 times the charm to finally dry something, and still comes a little damp.
Conn's Department Store should know this and that why they give all the facilities to buy something, and at the end they wash their hand, and let the consumer stuck with a worthless piece of garbage. At this time I am waiting for Samsung to come take a look and see what going on, and see what happens. Conn's furniture store don't have time at this moment to come and take look. I wonder why, maybe they are too busy trying to fix crap they have sold. At this moment will call the BBB and complain about Conn's and Samsung. I have read so many bad reviews about, Samsung washer and dryer. I never received the call, the materials arrived in January 2017, and a tech never showed up. I did receive 2 phone messages in March 2017, but when I returned the calls I got the runaround. Samsung front loader washer and dryer - We purchased all new appliances last summer. Right from the start I knew something was wrong when we bought the appliances. We told them we had to have at least a 10-foot cord for the dryer or we couldn't get them. They showed up with wrong length after everything was set up. Best Buy and Samsung told me if I could prove it was the right cord and install it myself my warranty would stand. Of course everyone knows not to leave electrical cords loose and anyone who has moved and had to change the cord on a dryer knows what I am talking about. It's not rocket science!!! Within a month the pedestal on the dryer fell apart. Best Buy will only warranty 15 days. So I had to fix myself. Then the washer was shaking the house just as the old washer did on spin cycle, so I didn't think anything about it until the washer started throwing codes and wouldn't wash approx. 9 months after delivery.
I called Samsung for 2 days while they had me run meaningless test for them before would consider sending a repair guy. They finally send out someone and the bearing in the drum is bad claiming I didn't set washer on correct load but they replaced it anyways but not before they made me sign a disclaimer saying they had to move the dryer and they weren't responsible for any damage to the appliances while making repairs. So I thought to myself why are they having me sign this. They did the repair and left the washer, drum and box for me to haul to the dump. I ran my first load of laundry after they leave and the dryer no longer works. I called Samsung back and they asked if it worked before and I told them it did right up until the washer stopped spinning out the clothes and it was taking the dryer much longer to get them dry. The week before there was nothing wrong.
They sent out the same guy and he tells me this is install defect now and wiring harness and cord needed to be replace and I would have to come up with app $400.00. I told the repair guy this is impossible and was a previous agreement about the cord or be forced to return appliances, both before and after the purchase this was a huge issue. It's been 4 days since Samsung has been claiming to look into the matter and would call me back. Each day I have called them I have gotten a promise they would return my call within 24 hours. Currently I have heard nothing from Samsung and still a broken appliance and a huge repair bill and a dump bill for the warranty work.
This has to be our worst experience we have ever had with all the appliances we have bought in 35 years of furnishing our rental, homes and businesses. I still can't believe their customer service is horrible and I think the warranty repair is a scam to somehow get money back after they have to pay out. How is it both go out at the same time? And both less than a year old.

Nevertheless, as advised, after some delay on Samsung's part, I had the warranty repair done in February of 2017. The dishwasher is wonderfully quiet but the motherboard had to be replaced within the first couple of months. Now that it is out of warranty it has stopped filling with water and gives me the OE symbol. In addition it has consistently blown steam? Out on my wood floor making it wet.

We have a 5 yr old top loading Samsung washer. It started showing rust stains around the bleach compartment very shortly after we purchased it. A phone call to Samsung was met with the reply that "the rust is cosmetic" and therefore not an issue. In November of 2016 we learned that this washer was part of the recall for exploding parts. We had it repaired in November. At that time we asked the repair person about the rust (which was significantly worse). He said to contact Samsung but they would probably say it was cosmetic. In April 2017 the rust became so bad that there are now holes in the top of my machine. Please keep in mind that I only use bleach on my whites about 1 time per month.
The washer is now leaking from the bottom of the machine, flooding my laundry room floors. As if this product isn't bad enough be prepared for the worst "customer service in the world". I have called Samsung about 10-12 times in 2 weeks. It took them 6 phone calls just to change my address in the system. In one particular phone call I was on hold for an hour for a supervisor, I was mysteriously disconnected before getting to speak with one. In every phone call I was advised that they had expedited my request and I would hear back from someone in 48-72 hours. That happened only one time - at about 69 hours. This went on for 2 weeks!
Finally I blasted their Facebook page and got almost an immediate response. They asked for details and they got it, who I talked to, where the call center was located, how long the phone calls lasted, what the outcome of each call was (nothing) and how much I charge for over 15 hours of my time. They are now stating that they will offer me a full refund. I am not holding my breath as I have read other reviews that indicate the company never followed through on that statement. We truly need something done on the issue of our Samsung Top Load Washer. I have read hundreds of cases where these washers are exploding and coming apart. As of yet, thankfully, this has not happened. Our issue is very simple, the washer does not clean clothes. Your repair folks have been out 3 times now and yet the problem remains. All they ever do is talk about the magnitude of this problem throughout the United States and how nothing is being done about it. Go on Social Media and you will see thousands of dissatisfied customers with a huge variety of Samsung product issues. Phones that burn up and are not even allowed on airplanes, washers that explode, it's insane. So what does Samsung do, it continues to be in denial and is attempted to fix the problem by quick fixes and poor customer service.
There are countless companies that have long gone away because they failed from offering flawed products or poor customer service. Samsung seems to be guilty of both. I am only ONE person, with ONE problem and I am looking for ONE solution. Ask yourself what would you do if you spent almost a $1000 on a washer only 7 months ago and today it cannot even clean the clothes of your family. How would you feel? What would you do about it? We were told by Samsung representatives that our washer was covered under the recall and yet I went on the recall site and nothing comes up? Then we were told the site actually is not working properly, (Big Surprise) and our model "may or may not come up" when I put the serial number in? No complaints with the operation and features, still running like a champ. However, I have noticed that the lint trap insert slot has widened with age. The removable, cleanable lint trap is still working as designed but the slot, made from a less durable plastic material, I can only presume, than it should have been, has warped from the heat of the dryer over time, and, tends to collect a lot of lint which requires regular cleaning. That I can live with, but, the dryer vent pipe is now clogging up more frequently, due to the warped lint intake slot, which forces me to incur the vent cleaning expense more frequently.
I called the good people at Samsung wherein the nice young lady advised me that this was the first instance of this specific problem that had been personally reported to her. I purchased 2 new Samsung Appliances last year in 2016. A front load washer as well as the matching dryer. The washer does a horrible job washing clothes etc. and nothing seems to come out clean or washed. I purchased the washer on sale for around $1,850usd and the dryer was about $ 1,250usd. Both Items aren't used much and are well cared for. After each use the washer is cleaned and wiped down to keep it like new. Yesterday 7 May, 2017 the washer started leaking from underneath the unit. These appliances are only 9 months old. Samsung USA offers no help and leaves me so mad.
Why is it every Samsung product I purchase breaks and doesn't last. Last fall 2016 I had to return 3 Smartphones. Before that I had a TV that broke after 5 months. It seems to me that this Korean company uses cheap materials and parts and doesn't care at all about the consumer. I will never recommend Samsung again nor purchase anything from this company. I bought two WA400 Samsung washers on the same date a few years ago from Sears. Total price about $1,500. After 12 months one of them broke, and the repair was $250 to replace the drum support and then the other broke after a year and a half, and we had to replace the drum support. The first one then broke again, maybe the motor. Got a quote for $300+ to fix. At this point I was so disgusted with the Samsung washer that I bought a new GE washer because it was for a rental, and I needed a washer that worked. I tried to call Samsung several times but it was during the same time as when the Galaxy phone batteries were exploding, so nobody answered the phone, and when they did they made me wait and then didn't tell me it was recalled and were totally unhelpful.
After many months of looking for my receipts of purchase, receipts of repairs and sending them to them and waiting for a response, I called again. They offered me $138 for the price of the one defunct washer, or they said I could buy a new Samsung washer and they would REBATE me. Like I am going to buy anything more Samsung again? I think not. They said they could send a repairman to fix my other machine (but it had already been fixed, and they don't have a repair company in Hawaii anyway).
I was without a machine for about 3 months waiting for them to reply but then I had to get a washer because it's a rental home. The Samsung washer is covered in the carport waiting for a resolution. I got through to Samsung today, and now they tell me that I have to give them the receipt of my new washer within one month of purchase for the refund. It's truly unbelievable how they treat their customers. I will NEVER EVER buy anything Samsung again!!

I purchased this washer (Samsung VTR Front Load Washer) 6 months ago after having a Whirlpool for 15 years. The Whirlpool was a front load as well which I chose to upgrade. No issues with it just wanted a newer washer and dryer. I actually gave the old set away. The Samsung is nothing but issues. It arrived with missing stickers and a small dent in the dryer. The washer throws codes on almost every wash. Sometimes it takes 6 hours to do a load. It takes hours to dry a load. The washer vibrates and is loud. I know this set will not last long by its performance. It was an expensive set and is junk. I have followed all instructions and have many issues. Wish I kept my 15-year-old machines or stuck with Whirlpool.

This is the worst washer and dryer I have ever used. They have never worked properly since I got them home. Then I get a recall on the washer. They didn't really fix it. They just added clips and told you not to use the bedding cycle. It is loud and does a terrible job at washing. The dryer is loud, sounds like a screeching mouse all the time. I hear it even when I close the door to the Laundry room. I will never ever ever purchase another Samsung Product again the rest of my life.

On easter morning I returned home from work and was advised that the washing machine, while not in use, the front loading glass door shattered. This occurred at 0615Hrs while the only person in the house was asleep causing them to think someone was breaking in. I have owned this brand new washing machine for 4.5 months and do maximum 3 loads of wash per week. I contacted Samsung which was unable to explain how the door would shatter sending glass everywhere especially when it was not in use for 8-10hours.
A technician responded to my house and called Samsung who told him that it was caused by physical damage, meaning I broke it. There is only a washing machine and dryer in the laundry room, meaning that no random object could have fallen and struck the door. I then contacted Samsung ECR Department and was advised that a microscopic fracture in the manufacturing of the glass could have been at fault. Samsung advised me to vacuum up the glass and that they could replace the door. I was not given any assurance this would not occur again. I was also told that there was nothing they could do to ensure there was no glass fragments in that machine that could get into my clothes and injure me or cause further damage to the machine.
I was then advised that my call was forward to the legal department of ECR. After reviewing my case for a whole week, they called stating that they determined the machine was off. I was unaware that there was a debate on that topic as I stated that fact right from the start. I have since advised Samsung that as an owner of numerous Samsung appliances and devices, and was looking to get more, that I would never shop their products again. It is bad enough to have defective products, however customer service should not try to be just as defective.

Our top loading Samsung washer leaks water - and has for the last 2 years. We purchased it in January 2013 at Home Depot and have a Samsung Protection Plus warranty contract that runs until 5/13/2021. Its model # is WA456DRHDWR. Samsung has sent their "best" repairmen to fix the same problem SIXTEEN (16) times. Each time requiring us to call the warranty company and then the repair service - often numerous times, waiting days/weeks for someone to finally arrive, interrupt our schedules to be home, not have anyone show up and having to start the phone call process again, explain the same issue to different people, have all parts replaced with many re-replaced numerous times, be assured that it is fixed, and then having it leaking again - in the same way and place as always.
Calls to Samsung complaining about the quality of the machine and their service, even with multiple levels of escalation have resulted in multiple call backs to finally speak to someone, promises to resolve the issue that do not result in even a call-back from them, and finally - their only resolution is to send another repairman and start the process all over again (for the 17th time). We are now pursuing many protest avenues (State Consumer Affairs, Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, Consumer Reports, etc.) as well as all legal options, along with communicating the terrible customer service to our hundreds of family and friends.
We will now purchase a new non-Samsung washer and trash this Samsung lemon. Needless to say we will NEVER purchase another Samsung product - of any kind again. We will offer to share our experience with anyone who is also suffering from Samsung's lack of product quality and abysmal customer service (dis-service). Our email is **.

Purchased a Samsung model WA45H7000AW top loader in May 2016 from Lowes. Worst cleaning washer we've owned in 30 years. The clothes are not covered with water; top of clothes are in air and can actually dry out if the laundry is a large piece like a sheet! The "Warm" water temperature setting is not warm. It is tap temperature cold and we have our gas water heater set at 140 degrees. I've put in heavily soiled towels from washing the car and they come out stained. But the worst feature of the washer is that it catches my wife's undergarments and nightgowns at the seam at the bottom of the drum.
A $30 nightgown was damaged during the first wash. So this piece of garbage is going into the discount ads. We are going back to a washer with an agitator with a full tub of warm water like we had with our 2001 Kenmore Elite. Samsung designs products for some lame environment benefit, not for performing what they are advertised for. BTW brand LG is no better. This Samsung washer replaced one from LG that only lasted four years before the top lid rusted and threatened staining our clothes. But at least that washer cleaned clothes. Wish I had rebuilt my Kenmore after this expensive beta test. None of the politically correct reviews can be depended upon and that includes Consumer Reports.

However even after one months, though I have personally visited the service centre several times and repeated mails were sent to the customer care centre for getting the machine repaired, I am yet to get back the repaired machine. I can't express the ROTTEN experience of trying to get a repair done on our washer we bought from Lowe's. The first piece of advice is DO NOT BUY FROM Lowe's. I think they sell 2nds/refurbished units. We bought an extended warranty which has proved worthless. The washer itself started rusting around the bleach dispenser. The actual TOP COVER, which is supposed to be covered with porcelain, is rusting. Samsung probably saved a few bucks by thinning out the porcelain.
We called LOWE'S first for the aforementioned warranty and they pretty much laughed. Asked the lady what IS covered by the warranty and she said, "Not Much." I swear that's her response. So then I contacted Samsung, actually they contacted me about the top MAY fly off and kill us if we put bedding into the washer. Wonderful... I asked about the rust at that time and was told the recall was only for the dangerous defect they sold me... not the rust. Rust can't kill you I guess.
After several shaming calls to Samsung Customer Service... (actually it was calls to Samsung as the Customer Service part doesn't exist), they said they were going to arrange to have the top replaced. Great. A few weeks later we get a call from A&E Home Repair Service. For those of you who have dealt with these people before, you know what a treat this is. The call told us the date, a very generous window of 8 AM to 5 PM, someone 18 or older had to be home, etc. etc. The day came and I took time off work to be there. About 3 PM, I called A&E to make sure I was still on the schedule. I was and they estimated 30-60 minutes before he'd arrive. I said thanks and hung up. About 40 minutes later, my phone rings and it's the technician. He asks if I'm ready to pay for the part and repair. I told him it was to be covered by Samsung. He said that's not his paperwork says and he can't change it.
I had the number he was calling from and told him I'd call him right back. I quickly called Samsung and when I finally got someone who could speak English, told them what happened. He said they would call A&E right away. I called the tech back on the number he had contacted me, but of course no answer. I called A&E and the person confirmed Samsung did call and spoke with them. I asked them to call their tech right away to let him know. I tried the tech number again without any luck.
At about 5 PM, I called A&E again and was told the Tech had canceled the work order and now Samsung had to issue a new one. Now I could go on and on about this but suffice it to say I REPEATED THIS PROCESS 4 FREAKING TIMES... The last 2 times Sears Home Service was contracted by A&E to make the repair.
I've concluded several things: 1. I have been a Samsung fan for a long time. I have a 61" Samsung, a 42" Samsung, a microwave, a washer & dryer. I have several Samsung Smart Things and Samsung VOIP phones. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT COMING INTO MY HOME. 2. SEARS deserves to be out of business... I hope it's a long and miserable death for them. 3. A&E Repair is owned and operated by the devil himself. The people he has working for them are evil and uncaring. I'm sure they have dead cats and babies scattered about their offices. If you're smart... RUN VERY FAST AWAY from any of these companies.

I want everyone to know my experience with Samsung. I had purchased a 55" tv years ago and had problems within the first two years. It ended up it was cheaper for me to buy a replacement tv than have mine fixed. I wrongly assumed this was just a fluke. I then purchased a washer and dryer and here is what happened. The dryer died on the 15th month. Once again it would be cheaper to purchase a new dryer versus repairing the old one. I contacted Samsung and they agreed to pay for the parts. Long story short. Dryer was repaired on our good faith assuming Samsung was a company that honored their word. I even have an email stating I will be reimbursed for the parts (which we had already paid for). The repair was done and I am still waiting on that refund. I would never have repaired it without the assurance I would be reimbursed.
A&E Factory Services only needed to fill out a form for Samsung stating repairs were done. They refused. The next appointment for them to come out and verify the work was done. I wanted 4 hours and no one showed up or called. When I called them they informed me they did not service my area. Really the dryer was already repaired by you. They told me that I could receive an exchange rebate or I could have a technician come out and fix the drum supports (the parts that are under the warranty). I said it was not going to take less than half of what we paid for the machine two years ago, and that having a technician come out wouldn't make a difference because that's not the issue I was calling about. Cust Serv said they would escalate my issue to the executive offices and I was promised a call in 24 to 48 hours.
I called back 01/30/2017 because I had not received the call. I was told my issue was re-escalated. I still had not received a call and I called again directly to Samsung Customer Service on 2/25/2017 (not the warranty number). When I called they said this was a warranty issue. I said no, it wasn't and I wanted to talk to someone who could help me. I did receive a call on 02/27/2017 from Lynn in the Executive Offices. I was at work and she left me a message with a confirmation number. She asked for pictures and copy of our receipt to be sent to an email address. I needed to call the Cust Serv number again to find out the correct email address. When I called I was told this was a warranty issue, and again, I told them it wasn't. I called again on 3/21/2017 because I hadn't heard from anyone from Samsung. The Cust Serv Rep said she could see the receipt, but there were no pictures attached to my ticket number. She said she would have someone contact me within 24 hours. On 3/23/2017 I called again and told them that I should have been called back within 24 hours. She said that the call should be within 24 - 48 hours, but that she would re-escalate the ticket to her supervisor to get to the bottom of this issue.
I called back on 3/29/2017 and actually talked to a supervisor. She gave me another ticket number. She said would put my issue at the beginning of the queue for the next day. I have heard nothing. Purchased a Samsung front load washing machine 4 years ago. About a year ago it started "traveling" around the laundry room - something it had never done before, shaking hard and and loudly. It shares the room with a half bath and it got so violent that I didn't want to use the bathroom while it was running; took my business upstairs if you know what I mean because it was scary. I haven't spent a lot of time crafting the list of all the ways I do not want to be found dead but if I did, being skewered half naked to toilet by my washing machine would definitely be on it.
And at the same time clothes were not fully spun out of water. Watching the display panel (from the safety of the doorway) the spin cycle goes from 6 minutes to 1 minute in a second, and then the machine stops. The clothes come out sopping wet and looking dirty. They might be clean but they look filthy. I've unscrewed the knobby outlet thingy at the bottom, drained it, washed it out. I've washed the rubber seal gasket. I've even washed the glass. Nothing helps.
Then the other day I watched a video online of a man with the exact same machine that had the exact same problem. He took his machine apart and explained why it had failed. Samsung set up ion exchange with the metal drum and the metal armature that spins the machine by using a lesser material for the armature. The armature acts like a sacrificial tomb for the drum. This is similar to what they used to do years ago with oil tanks buried in the backyard. A sacrificial tomb was buried close by and connected to the tank by a wire. The ions that would have rusted the tank ran along the wire and rusted the tomb instead. Then after so many years, you were supposed to dig up the tomb and replace it with a new one. Of course no one ever did and which is why tanks leak into the groundwater but that's a story for another day. Point is, Samsung created a machine that was doomed to fail.
But what really frosts my pimples is that, in looking online for a new washing machine, I came across an article that includes the Samsung front loader as one of The 13 Best Front Loaders to Buy in 2017. Can you believe it? I could easily see someone without first hand knowledge of this piece of crap actually going down to Lowe's or PC Richards and buying it based on the information in this article. There should be a review site that reviews review sites.
So to the cemetery of Samsung Products that have Failed, preceded in death by the refrigerator that leaked water into the vegetable bins and the microwave that caught fire in the circuitry, I will now have to bury this washing machine because the repair costs will be more than a new machine. Some might say I am lucky that my machine lasted four years compared to others whose only lasted one or two but oddly, I don't feel lucky. I have an expensive washing machine that does not wash clothes. Anything that does not do what it is supposed to do is art. I picked up a lovely oil painting of some roses at a tag sale the other day for a buck. I want art, I know how to find it. Then I proceeded to hang it, not coincidentally, in the laundry room where the washing machine could see it and feel shame. Might as well as hung it in Samsung's board room for all the remorse that'll get me.

I have owned my Samsung front loader for 2 years now. I hate it. I can't wait for it to break so I can go out and buy a top load agitator washer, one that fills up with water. It reminds me of pounding wet clothes on a rock, except that when you do that you at least rinse them in a large quantity of water. There is no way you can get a load of wash clean in the tiny amount of water used in front loaders - and they don't really get clean, just a little wet. Even using the minimal amount of soap. (Does it really clean with that small amount? Answer- no.) The rinse water is so minimal the soap does not rinse out. My clothes, sheets and towels come out rough and scratchy and make us itch.
Nothing smells fresh - you have to cover the smell by using a fabric softener sheet in the dryer. It dumps the fabric softener on the clothes during spin (without enough water to dilute the softener, it causes permanent white spots on my clothes. I can't tell you how many have been ruined to the point I don't use softener any more. Even diluting it in the tray doesn't help. It takes forever to run a load - a whole hour and that's if you don't add the extra spin and rinse - which is really necessary! Forget using heavy duty wash cycle - plan on 2 hours a load. There is a feature for automatic cleaning of the machine - it takes hours. What in the world? Guess it's because it uses so little water that it has to run twice as long and then has to use twice as much electricity!
Summary: runs too long, doesn't get clothes clean, clothes are rough and not thoroughly rinsed out. We figured out a way to fool with the water level and forced it to put more water in the tub. Its still not the same as a full tub in a top loader, but at least it cleans a little better and most of the soap gets rinsed out. You lose your warranty when doing that, but who cares - I'm not keeping this machine for much longer.

PLEASE tell me about the rebate. I was offered a $396 rebate plus a $100 loyalty bonus, but it would take 6-8 weeks. I was all for that but my laundry room smells like an animal has DIED in it. So I opted to do the recall then will have to wait for repair. I chose not to get the rebate because I do not want another Samsung product. I have been very disappointed in the service. I have Samsung TV's, and cellphones. I have still not recovered from all the drama with the Note 7. So needless to say when this product dies and cannot be repaired, I will not purchase another product from them.

I purchased a Samsung washing machine in January. I have only one complaint, it does not wash my clothes. NOT AT ALL. Clothing comes out as dirty as it goes in. We had the repairman service the unit. He said that we needed to use liquid detergent and could not use pre-stain treatments because they will not come out during wash (like and dirt). He also suggested not using the normal wash setting, but rather, heavy load or quick wash. I've tried these two setting and no improvement. We were told by the Samsung representative that the normal setting will not remove the laundry detergent. Really? It doesn't remove stains either. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER. IT IS A LEMON.

DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG FRONT LOADERS!!! There is a HUGE problem with my Samsung front loader so I will caution you about a very significant mold problem as well as a nasty smell that occurs. You can do everything that all the blogs suggest, like leaving the washer door open, leaving the detergent drawer open, wiping the door after you wash your clothes, and running bleach through periodically and the problem still exists. You will develop black mold growth in the detergent dispenser as well as the entire compartment where the drawer goes.

So why did I spend over $1k and can only use the time dry. For that I should have purchased a cheap dryer so heat could be changed. Very dissatisfied and don't recommend you get a Samsung product. Plus they are terrible to deal with afterwards. After 4 months of complaining they won't take back though I complained after first week I had. They set temp for me. I'm heat which shrinks my tees and underwear so I must time dry to lower temp. It's a real "Bait-and-switch" by Samsung. Don't buy this product. It's a piece of crap. We bought what we thought was top of the line Front Loader Washer and Matching Dryer Feb. 2015.. and here I am, 2 years later having to buy a new set and it won't be a SAMSUNG. Where do I begin? Let's start with the washer. The first ongoing problem is with the fabric softener dispenser. It doesn't work. It drains out anything that is in the holder when you start the washer. The second is with the bleach dispenser. It doesn't work. It pours bleach straight onto clothes leaving of course bleach spots all over your clothing... thanks for the new wardrobe Samsung. Repair man has been out twice. The parts are no longer available for this unit... uh wait... the unit is only 2 years old!!!
Next, the dryer started making a sound like a bearing going out. Guess what? The bearing is out. And finally... I just pulled out a load of clothes from the dryer and what do I see? A large hole/crack crevice in the drum of the dryer. What the heck, Samsung. FAULTY UNITS TRASH. This set cost roughly $2500 and I am extremely dissatisfied. At $1250 per year, I could take my laundry to the laundromat to have them do it for me.

DON'T BUY A SAMSUNG WASHER. Anyone else considering a class action lawsuit. Samsung top load washer purchased 2013. Purchased extended warranty. Had it for 2 months when it exploded eating the plastic rim of the drum. I returned to store I purchased it from and was told since I paid cash I had to have it repaired not returned. They had to rebuild the whole interior of the washer. It has had issues off and on but I lived with it. Our son has the same one with the same problems and he said to check out the recall. Sure enough ours was on it.
Contacted Samsung. They sent a repairman to put something to secure the top down for when it goes out of control... took 10 minutes. I was already having trouble with it filling and refilling. Asked the repairman. He told me he could only fix the recall invoice. So I have been on the phone and chat live site to get someone to fix it. "We will call you back..." Still waiting. I put a load in at 10 am. At 3 pm I had to wring out by hand and hang out to dry as too heavy for the dryer. Every time I try to do a load it does the same thing unless it is one shirt and maybe a pair of socks.

When purchasing this high capacity front loading washer (WF56H9100A) we thought it would be great to reduce the amount of time we spent putting loads of wash in and taking them out. However, after having this machine for over a year now we have found it was the worse possible purchase we could have made. The clothes have to be double washed, extra rinse and high spin to get them clean. And DO NOT put bleach in the bleach dispenser! The two times I tried my items came out completely ruined as if someone had poured straight bleach on them. The water level is far from adequate to clean clothes thoroughly and the only way to actually get your clothes to smell somewhat clean is to run them through two washes with an extra rinse and high spin.
I will never buy a Samsung product again. Besides the high end Samsung dishwasher that died after 3 years and "could not be repaired" and the high end Samsung refrigerator we bought that has an ice cube maker that jams and freezes over every two weeks I am fed up with Samsung. I strongly advise anyone thinking of buying Samsung to stay away and purchase a product from a brand that has a better track record like Whirlpool or Maytag.

I echo the other reviews about Samsung's handling of resolving its defective top load washer issue. The entire burden has been placed on Samsung's customers. The customer service hotline is staffed by people who can barely speak English, and they are clearly reading from a script. I will NEVER, EVER purchase another Samsung product again. A company's behavior speaks volumes about the level of priority they place on customer satisfaction. Samsung clearly doesn't give a damn about its customers. I am convinced that the company's sole motivation in resolving this issue is to avoid or mitigate the predictable product liability lawsuits that are forthcoming. This company deserves to be sued into bankruptcy.
I plan to email the entire Samsung USA executive team in Ridgefield, NJ informing them of exactly what has transpired. It is interesting to note that every member of the team is Korean, which is fine provided they understand American consumer culture and sentiment. These clowns clearly don't care one iota. I've had this machine 2 and a half years and it has never worked properly. It skips massive amounts of time on the cotton programme. It says the programme last 2:56, but I'm lucky to get it to last 1:38. As a result clothes are not clean and whites look dingy. I've been battling since I bought it to get it fixed. The shop tested it and told me that because it's 'intelligent', it knows how dirty the clothes are and therefore how long the programme should last (Wow, really believe that one!?). I've asked if I can override it's 'intelligence' and let it run the programme properly, but I'm told I can't. Seeing as the guarantee is running out, I insisted a proper technician tested it.
Eventually got a 3rd Party technician here who finally agreed that there was an issue with it - he actually saw it lose the time before his eyes! Marvelous, really thought the problem would be rectified. He changed the electronic board - no change, the machine still did it. He then got in touch with Samsung in Paris, who said there was nothing wrong with it - 'it's normal' to do that he said. So I'm back to square one. I've asked because I am so unhappy with it that they replace this ineffective machine with (perhaps) a re-conditioned one that will give me a proper wash cycle. I'm waiting... Very unhappy with Samsung and this machine in particular. It really is a pile of rubbish and feel treated as though I'm stupid.

So tell me, if you have a sick child with a high fever that needs to be in a bathtub with cold water - how would you react that when you turn on the faucet only scalding water comes shooting out??? This is exactly how ALL of Samsung's washers are "designed" to perform and therefore Samsung will not authorize return because it is NOT a defective product. Misleading consumers by not disclosing critical information for us to make an informed decision falls more in-line with "altered facts" and deceptive marketing practices. Short and sweet - ATC "automatic temperature control" feature is a major design flaw. The ATC preset is in ALL of their models and uses HOT WATER FIRST in ALL of their rinse cycles. I will gladly share their chat script with this statement!
If you shut off the hot water, the machines will not add cold water and will run the rinse cycle with no additional water. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY - Samsung WILL NOT approve the return of their washers - which means the consumers are stuck with hundreds of $$$ in re-stocking, delivery and all sorts of additional fees. There is no statement in their manual stating that hot water has to be added first for their machine to operate as designed and so that their machine can use their "ATC feature". I spent hundreds of my cell phone minutes within the first few hours of having it delivered an the conversations and on-line chats continued throughout the next day.
They even had the audacity to tell me they had not received any complaints and was probably a mistake by the installers. Day 5 and still no resolution or guaranteed call from Samsung Tech within first 24-48 hours of complaint. I guess if they don't pay for the restocking and return delivery, there is no way they will reimburse me for my LOST cell minutes and day of vacation pay.

Had someone come out to check out the problem in 2016, which is the same year I purchased the washer, and they said the problem was that the drain hose was pushed down too far in the drain line and caused the water to back up and not rinse properly. Well the washer still won't rinse my clothes. When I take them out they look worse than they did before I washed them. Have to put them on another rinse cycle which waste water and electricity just to get a little of the residue off. They still look awful, especially black knit pants and jeans. I washed my husband's NEW black jeans while turned inside out and when I turned them back they looked like they were very old, soiled and wrinkled.
I am so disappointed with my washer that I am stuck with because it is so hard to get any results through the company. I WOULD TO SAY IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING A SAMSUNG WASHER DON'T DO IT! I fussed at my wife telling her to not dry shoes in the Dryer. She looked at me like I was crazy... "What are you talking about? ".
I didn't provoke her anymore... and let that sleeping dog lie. Then just last week the Dryer failed. The dryer drum split at the factory welded seam. A pair of running shorts got caught in the separation at the seam and now the Dryer seized up against the felt gasket at the back of the Dryer unit. When I contacted Samsung I got the "you are out of your 1 Year Warranty Coverage... did you purchase the Extended Warranty Coverage?". Of course I did not... assuming that the drum in the Dryer (a major operational component in the Dryer) would be the LAST item to fail. Had it been a drive belt or circuit board, I would have expected that with "fair wear and tear".
Anyway, after three calls to the entry level customer service folks... they agreed to elevate my call to the Executive Customer Service Dept. That was over a week ago... after they committed to having someone call me back within 24-48 hours. I am done with SAMSUNG. I just sold my Washer on Craigslist... and will be taking my Dryer to the dump for disposal. And I just purchased a new KENMORE Washer/Dryer Combo for about the same I invested in the SAMSUNG product almost 5 years ago. I have had the worst experience ever. While trying to resolve the issue of receiving the rebate I was assured by not one but two different Samsung employees. I purchased my top load washer/dryer set at Sears in May of 2015 for the new home we were building. We moved in our home on July 29, 2015. We had to have the repair man come one time before the "voluntary" recall in Nov. 2016. I called the recall number and was told a long list of things I needed to do to replace my washer. After thoroughly reviewing the rebate paperwork I received I made another call to the recall number to double check my information. I was again assured I would receive $446.00 plus an additional up to $150.00 if I chose to stay with the Samsung brand.
Putting my faith in the Samsung name I went back to my local Sears store where I purchased another top load Samsung washer. I painstakingly filled out all of the requirements and submitted my forms. I then proceeded to wait patiently for the check to pay for this unwanted expense. In the meanwhile I keep getting emails from Sears saying the washer I have purchased is on recall. In early February I even received the whole bundle of recall paperwork from Samsung! So once again I placed a call to the very rude Samsung customer service line. I was assured that the second washer was not on recall. It was the right model number but the wrong serial number, so they say.
While speaking to them I inquired as to the status of my claim and they told me my paperwork had been processed and they would be cutting my check and mailing it the following week. I did receive my check but it was not the amount they promised! They paid me $471.00 for a washer that I paid $575.00 for. When I called to see what the mix up was they told me I had been MISINFORMED!!!
I have made 7 phone calls and spent countless hours trying to get some satisfaction from Samsung. I spoke to three supervisors, the last of whom gave me a good cussing out and accused me of trying to cheat their company out of $150.00, to have not one person even attempt to offer a solution to my problem. I am beyond disappointed, I am disgusted! You can better believe that I will not be purchasing ANY Samsung appliances in the future and I will be spreading the word to my family, friends, and acquaintances to steer clear of this company! After speaking to their customer service department. I could not be more displeased than ever with a company or a product. First, the misinformation that these customer service reps were trying to convince me of is appalling. One representative even went so bold to tell me that the malfunction was due to customer misuse even though they (Samsung) are recalling the washer after it was found to be a result of a malfunction of these washers, which is public knowledge at this point! Despite Samsung admitting malfunction with their products, I was still sent in a wild goose chase to which I have no idea if they were ever going to honor their guarantee. Samsung front load wash machine. Model WF42H5200 WH. I purchased my Samsung washing machine and dryer from ABT in Glenview, IL. I had the machine installed on July 11, 2016. I had no issues regarding the operation of the washing machine until January 27, 2017. The machine will not complete the spin cycle. A 59-minute wash takes 3 plus hours and I have to stop the washing machine manually and unload the wet clothes for the dryer. Because the washing machine never completes the high speed spin cycle, the clothes are much wetter than normal and this requires the dryer to work harder and consume additional energy. I called Samsung and reported the issue to them and on February 21, 2017 they sent a 3rd party repairman to service the Samsung washer.
He checked out the washing machine and told me that he didn't know what was wrong with the machine. He told me that all Samsung appliances are "garbage" (his exact words). He said they are having many problems with these machines and that the problems will never be fixed because they can't diagnose the exact problem. He recommended to go out and purchase a better brand name washing machine and dryer. He also recommend to get the extended warranty. (Which I purchased the next day.) If the Samsung repairman is recommending other brands, I can only assume that there is something significantly wrong with the Samsung appliances and especially with the washing machines.

So I ask, "Should bearings go out of a 4 1/2 year old washing machine?" and should the shocks need to be replaced? We are a family of 4 with normal clothing loads. The repairs will cost me more than the washing machine did originally--yeah great purchase huh?!

Dryer DV350AEW - Drum cracked after 5 years. Samsung said no other model was reported with this issue, however, there are hundreds of complaints online and also on their own website. After third call, they admitted other reports but refused to compensate, dryers should last at least 10 years. The fact that they denied that it was an issue and lied about no other reports is a slap in the face to consumers. I will never buy another Samsung appliance.

I purchased a washer dryer matching set in June from Home Depot. In October the Good Morning America show told of a recall by Samsung on certain models. I took down the information and checked our washer to learn it was part of the recall. First of all I have never heard of a recall where you must purchase a new machine before you can get a rebate. The rebate for our 4 month old washer was $200 less than we paid for the machine. I paid $699 plus taxes and I am to receive $446 if and when I receive it. I followed the instructions I was given to the T and that was 11/23/2016 including sending it in and sending the model number and serial numbers plus a receipt for the new washer which I could not buy for the amount I was receiving.
I called last week February 9 because it has been 3 months with no correspondence. Last week I was told it had been escalated and I would receive a call within 24 to 48 hours. Today is some 168 hours and I have yet to hear anything from Samsung. So I called back and they seem to lost the escalation so I ask for a supervisor. She argued with me for about 5 minutes before at my insistence they finally gave me to supervisor Julio and he gave me a ticket number again telling me I would receive a call within 24 or 48 hours and I would get that call because I now had a ticket number.
I have lost all confidence in Samsung. I stupidly purchased a new Washer to replace the broken one plus I bought a new washer and dryer for my other laundry room. I am now out for the replacement washer and both new washer and dryer I purchased fo a second laundry room. So I have spent $1497 for a new set plus the rebate machine with a promise of getting our $446 back for the trouble of recall. What a joke this "volunteering" recalling their machine. I will never purchase another Samsung due to way they have treated us on this recall. I have spent at least 8-10 hours trying to find out what is going on with our rebate when it should have been easily handled. I too would like to join a class action lawsuit if one is done on this company.
We talk about all the junk from China coming into the US but Samsung is no better so Japan is now screwing us over. I am glad Trump is going to make them pay for some of the things we have been giving them money for since WWII. The people on the phone are rude and very hard to understand. They talk way too fast and have a Japanese accent. I am sorry but they need someone who can speak English that we can understand. I use to think Samsung was an okay product but I will tell you based on this transaction I can no longer rely on them to provide good service after the sale. They SUCK and I only want my money back on the junk they sold me in the beginning.

Both machines cannot handle the large drums. Even with extra spin setting small or large loads are extremely wet when finished. Takes forever to dry because clothes are super wet and the dryer is super weak. Dryer never gets hot and it takes 3 - 4 hours to dry the clothes. Also you almost have to dry blankets and sheets one at a time because if you don't they wrap whatever else in dryer into a big ball and nothing dries. I would trade both in for a smaller more power machines. Sadly stuck with these :(

It's all about appearance not reliability any longer. A basic good quality does not exist. When washers are made of plastic with steel you can expect a short life span. Samsung is the worst in quality I have ever seen and yet no recourse to all the customers that purchased their junk. I will never purchase a Samsung product.

Have had the Samsung front loader, high capacity, steam washer and dryer set for 6 mos. Received a "close out deal" from Sears so, excellent pricing. Picked them up and did an easy install at home. Lots of convenient, easy to use functions. The pair sits very low to the ground. I would recommend purchasing the stands. The jury is still out on the reliability since we are only 6 months in. They do an excellent job of cleaning and drying. So far, so good.

Really love my washing machine, no problems with so far! However the recall process that Samsung has started is a mess! I opted to have mine repaired because I love it but the first 3 appointments were no show/no calls. The repair has finally been done and now I'm concerned about the future performance of my machine given what I've recently learned from others in the same situation. I feel like the options Samsung offered to its customers are lackluster and confusing. I don't know if I will purchase Samsung again.

I purchased a Samsung washing machine 2 years ago. I was compelled to buy that particular machine due to the deep tub for washing bedding. In fact there was a bedding cycle on the dial and it used hot water so I was sold. I paid about 800 at Lowe's and also bought the 4 year warranty. Then they had a recall that included my model. Seems they are exploding and injuring people. I was given very limited options; they would refund me $150 if I bought a new machine or $250 if I bought another Samsung, or, they could repair it and extend the warranty a year.
Since I could not take that kind of financial loss on a product so recently purchased I opted for the repair. Took them over 2 months and 3rd scheduled call before service call. However, my washer is not returned to original status. They placed a new sticker on the dial and told me I have to use delicates for bedding which doesn't use hot water. I am so disappointed in this. They should be replacing these washers if they are deemed unsafe to use a normal cycle on bedding. This recall is a scam!!

The washer shook and then one day it leaked. The news and internet warned about this washer blowing up, so we were able to return it to Lowe's who was very understanding. My daughters have the same washer and when they called Samsung, since it was a month out of warranty, they were refused a replacement and offered $100. If this washer blows up, I have sent Samsung 2 emails to let them know that I will take legal action.

Purchased the top loading washer machine in 2015. Sears extended warranty replaced $2100 dollars worth of parts and labor before they gave me $700 dollars towards a new machine and Samsung offered me $45 dollars and a apology on their exploding machine. Filed complaint with Better Business bureau with no response from Samsung. My recommendation is if you need to buy Samsung make sure you purchase the 20 year extended warranty because their products need constant repair. They do not care about your investment or problems with the machines. They want you to throw that one away and buy a new one.

My less than one year old Samsung Top Load Washer was recalled because the Top can explode and cause injury, and has caused grave injury to many. Samsung offered 1/2 the price of the washer as a rebate to buy another Samsung (of which retailers are still selling this machine that they say are repaired). I had mine "repaired" but 1/2 the settings cannot be used and bedding/bulky items have to be washed on delicate which leaves them wet now. 2 stickers were placed on the machine, and a sticker on controls. When a tech repaired the top the bolts taken off the machine were rusted. On a less than 1 yr old machine that is subject to water?
Do Not purchase a Samsung Washer. Now the newly "fixed" machines tops are exploding and coming loose. Another disaster. Also: the extended warranty companies are not classifying these recalled dangerous machines as "Lemons" under warranty replacement clause? These machines are Dangerous, Lemons and should be "junked" immediately before someone get killed. Being killed by your washing machine should not be part of a consumers worry.

Called to see if washer was on the recall list. It was. They took all of my information model and serial number. I went out the next day and bought a new washer and dryer. About a week later they email me my rebate form and at the bottom it wants the two stickers with the model number and serial number. When I spoke with them I was never told this. So I called. Told them I have a picture that would work. Include in your refund with proof of purchase of the new washer. Called last week to check on status. I was told I didn't fill out the paperwork correctly. They could help me without the stickers. Lowe's used a 3 party that delivered and took the old ones away. Told them there was no way I could get those sticker and if they had told me about it when we spoke I would have removed them.
No one wanted to take ownership of this. They gave me number after number to call and they all said, "Sorry you need to call the rebate center." One of the numbers was the corporate office. She said she would look into this and call me back. Next morning I receive a call and was told sorry there is nothing they can do. I shouldn't be punished due to their mistake but I am. I told them they have lost so much money. They are trying to cheat and keep as much as they can. Asked to speak or the number at corporate. Was told no number just an email. If there is a class action lawsuit against them include me. Bottom line is Samsung is punishing me because I did what they told me to do. If they had sent the papers or told me the same day, they would have been removed. They had enough nerve to tell me if I can find the stickers they could help me.

I purchased not one but 2 Samsung washers. The first was part of a set, costing $1900, delivered Aug, 2015. We learned of the top load washer recall on TV 11/4/2016. 11/5/2016, we registered our washer and requested a rebate. We then chose to purchase the same model from J.C. Penney as one of the recommended retailers selling the what we thought, was the new, improved and safer model. It was delivered 11/15/2016 and found to be another recalled washer, DELIVERED FROM A SAMSUNG WAREHOUSE IN JACKSONVILLE, FL. I discussed this with a Samsung escalated manager and we agreed to have the 2nd one "fixed" and receive a full refund. The fix is not a root cause fix, simply a band aid, preventing the lid from becoming a missile.
NO ONE at Samsung will respond to my calls, queries. They've applied the "fix" to my 1st washer, 2 days after it was hauled off and closed the case! The "fixed" machine keeps recycling on the rinse/spin cycle. It also displays a DC error message, indicating the load is off balance when in fact, it's an equal distribution of laundry. Also, we are not allowed to use the robust cycles we were promised with the purchase. 3 months ago I had a high powered, high capacity, quiet washer. Today I have a shoddy, noisy washer. Please HELP the consumers! I am one of thousands of duped customers. It's a dangerous washer and Samsung is not responding in a respectful manner, to say the least.

I'm blaming Samsung On This!! Also on Lowe's!! And their techs Servicequick!! ServiceQuick is very unprofessional, they have no clue on how to fix a washer machine. Samsung is clearly buying the cheapest service techs on the market. Less than a year old washer machine, had to wait for a week for a tech to come and take a look. Machine was making loud noise and he only recorded sound and left. After 4 days they called back saying that machine was getting drum replace next week. Waited another week send different tech and this guy took cover off, saw rust leaked on motor, took a picture and he said motor needed to be replace. He didn't put any effort to see where the leak was coming from. Had to wait another week for tech to come and replace motor and drum and some other parts.
They put covers and panel on the cement and now I have scratches all over the covers and scuff marks on the washer panel. They also placed their tools on the dryer and have scuff marks on it, and the installation of the drum was really bad, is all off balance, there is a 1 inch gap between the drum and the sealing gasket. Not only I wasn't able to use the machine for a month, but they keep on messing up. Now I have to send pictures of the scratches, and scuff marks on the panels and covers and they need to come and redo the drum to balance it properly. This guys were in a rush, my machine is less than a year old and is already has cosmetic damage and major parts being replaced. I blame Samsung on this for not picking quality service tech, I blame them for not just replacing the machine.
I'm all frustrated now. I keep on calling Samsung, Lowe's, and complaining about this situation but they don't even care. Well, Horrible, I bought this Machine at Lowe's. They sell a 3 year insurance which they are not responsible for the first year so in reality is just a 2 year. They put the first year on Samsung factory warranty, and Samsung pays this HORRIBLE! ServiceQuick people to do the repairs.

This is one of the worst appliances I have ever purchased. What is worse than the washer is Samsung's Customer Service. When I first purchased my washer 2 years ago, within a few weeks it started stopping just around the time the spin cycle was to being and "ds" would flash on the panel. I called Samsung Customer Service, which basically takes you through an automated maze until you actually get to a human being.
Talking to a machine would have been more helpful than the lady I spoke to. I have never before had someone tell me that I had to diagnose my own washer issues because if I could not fix it myself, they would charge me to send out a technician. REALLY? After 45 minutes of wasting my time (and ignoring my saying that it was still under warranty) she finally agreed to send out a technician. Then proceeded to tell me AGAIN, that I might be charged for the visit.
When the technician finally came, he supposedly checked everything and said nothing was wrong. I told him that I kept getting a "ds" message and asked what it meant. Never got a proper answer. To add to all this, Samsung issued a warning about its washers stating that the doors might "fly off" during the spin cycle. WOW... So here I go again, through the automated maze to schedule to have a technician come out and "fix" the issue. Needless to say, no one came at the appointed time. After calling twice, I was finally told that the person would come a week later.
Yes he showed up and tightened the door, or something, and said it was all good. However, I could no longer wash any of my bedding in the machine. I would have to send it out to wash. OK, so why do I have a washer at home if I need to send out my washing. I took a chance and mentioned that I kept getting the "ds" message more often and asked if he knew why. He said it was possible that the door lock was defective. Why OH why was I not told that when the first technician came around? Now that my machine was no longer under warranty I am being told this. "OK, so can you fix it", I asked. "No I cannot, that would require another technician". So now I have a washer in which I cannot wash most of my items and a door lock that is defective. Maybe I should have bought the Whirlpool. You live and you learn. NEVER again a Samsung.

So far, the washer and dryer have performed very well. They are reasonably quiet, and do a good job. We like the large number of preset cycles, with the option of adding a customized cycle. Their "fix" means that now my machine doesn't wash bedding correctly, and it comes out sopping wet, and is still considered dangerous. This machine was specifically touted for washing bedding when purchased. I consider that fraud. And they sent a sticker to cover over the wash cycles, so now my dryer doesn't match the look of the washer anymore. The other option of rebate, offered a pittance of the original purchase price 3 short years ago. They offer a tad more if I repurchase a Samsung which I think is unconscionable that they are actually making more money off of their knowing debacle!
