Do NOT repeat DO NOT BUY a SAMSUNG WASHING MACHINE or DRYER!! Do NOT SPEND your HARD EARNED MONEY on SAMSUNG. I have both - they do not wash clothes properly or fully dry them. I have my machines 5 months. I spoke with customer services numerous times. Today I spoke with them for 1 hour with no results. They were very unprofessional and insulting. I have to give up at this stage and get some money together to buy a new washing machine and dryer. This is very upsetting that this huge company Samsung can get away with doing this to their customers.

Our barely 3 year old washing machine went kaput this last week. We originally thought it was a balancing issue, but after having a professions come out to take a look, we found it to be much much worse. A very important part filled with concrete snapped into 3 pieces. The service repair guy didn't even know what could have caused such a thing and told us to stay away from Samsung washers. We paid about $566 December 2012 and went ahead and had to buy a new washer this weekend. I really don't believe that we put large/heavy amounts of clothes in the machine. It doesn't make sense what could have caused such a thing. No one had even washed comforters or anything of the sort.

My washing machine, purchased on March 27, 2015 has had (3) separate occurrences of the same issue. The electronics inside the unit keep failing for some reason. We have contacted Samsung regarding warranty repair. Samsung sent another company out to fix the issue (3) different times now. This last time all the technician did was to assess the issue. We never heard from the repair company again. We attempted to call the repair company several times. Only once did they answer the phone. When they did, they said they would have to call us back and never did. We contacted Samsung again, and had the issue escalated to the Executive Customer Relations department, who sent the issue out for a review for Accommodation of Replacement that was turned down, because the service center said they had us scheduled for service, DESPITE the fact that they closed out the service ticket.
We contacted Samsung a week later to get the results of the review, and they explained that the service center was going to attempt service. We told Samsung Executive Customer Relations that the service center had not contacted us to schedule the service. They issued ANOTHER review for accommodation which was supposed to be expedited so we could get a new unit. We called back, and they told us the review had been declined again, for the same purpose. Again, we attempted to contact the service center, and got no answer.
We contacted Samsung again, and received the runaround from the Call Center that handles Samsung's calls. We were put on hold indefinitely, so we hung up and called again, this time they directed us to Exec. Cust. Relations as we requested, and we got the runaround from them. They transferred us to the service center, and the service center told us they were going to call us some time today to schedule the repair -- but since we called, they could schedule us for 1-5pm tomorrow afternoon. This is a ridiculous situation. Samsung is not taking care of us as a customer.
I would like Samsung to replace our washer. It would also be nice to recover some of the money I have had to spend at the laundromat over the past 6 weeks while we have waited for the repairs. I would like the replacement as soon as humanly possible. The unit we have seems to be a lemon and has had to be repaired for the same thing (3) times. Replacement seems like the best option to me.

This is the worst washer I have ever had. I've learned to live with it, but I can't wash blankets. Guess I'll take them to the laundromat, but that is ridiculous when I paid over one thousand dollars for this washer. It is impossible to get it level with certain loads. You'd have to be an engineer to load it so that it would spin the water out of the blankets. What I've had to do is take them out and dry them for hours because they're still soaking wet. Once it worked to add extra towels, but that only worked once.

We have a 13 mo old washer that when I checked on it it had 20 min left to wash. When I returned home there was water all over the floor and the tub ring was torn apart. Samsung said it was 3 yr warranty no problem. Sent A &E Appliances the man was extremely rude and said it wasn't covered only 12 mo. Showed him the booklet, told him what Samsung said. After arguing with him he said "sure I will fix it but you have to pay labor and I don't know what else is wrong with it." Needless to say it didn't get fixed. Called Samsung back, different guy on the phone not as pleasant as the 1st. Told him I do not want A & E back out, was on the phone for 30 min as he had to re-enter info and get me a new reference number and have a new company out. Then he hung up on me while I was waiting for a new number.

We purchased the Samsung top load washer Sept. 2014. Washer had four service calls within the first year. I was told my floor was uneven by two technicians. Apparently that was what was causing all the UE codes and added time to the washer. After leveling washer repeatedly I am down to getting one load washed within the span of several hours. I've called repeatedly and have paid for multiple services. They would have me believe that my slightly uneven floor is the source of the multiple problems. Whatever you do, "DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG WASHER".

I submitted a review at the time my Samsung Washer started on fire, but as I see more and more people experiencing problems and asking for guidance in selecting between Samsung and LG, I feel I should share what I actually found out after extensive research online. I also feel I should add that I bought my problematic Samsung washer (and dryer) from Lowe's, and I almost fell for them selling me a replacement, calling it a freak occurrence, denying they knew about any issues, until my research showed the problems are known globally and all over the internet.
The main issue, as many demos illustrate on Youtube, is that Samsung used substandard, to U.S. requirements, some sort of composite concrete that breaks down with any water leakage or even on its own based on tremendous force exerted with front-loading washers. The physics is explained in detail online Maytag had similar issue in the beginning, but jumped in immediately and fixed the problem. Samsung did nothing (at least up until a year ago that I verified). The composite concrete (referred to as concrete crap or astro concrete in Youtube videos) breaks apart and flies all around the washer, under the tub, damaging tubs and motor, making horrible noise, and when not found by Samsung dispatched repair people (who SHOULD know and I feel DO KNOW the problem), will continue to break down and even start a fire.
I swapped mine out for a front-loading LG and it is an absolute DREAM! No bad odor, no excessive noise or time to complete cycles, no self-demolishing aspect, and most importantly, NO FIRES. To be reasonable, I made every attempt to get Samsung to acknowledge that they knew the problem existed...with only complete denial of having any knowledge of this occurring often (not that it happened, they acknowledged that) even when I directed them to the posted public videos capturing the facts. Stay safe... Stay away from Samsung front-loading washing machines.

My high tech front loader (very expensive) failed after only 23 months of use. The solution...replace the motherboard $300. I only paid $700 for the machine. No one has the motherboard in stock or can tell me when one is available. Oh, the existing motherboard cannot be repaired - or even have the fuse changed - it's covered at the factory in a quarter inch layer of epoxy to prevent anyone fixing it.

My experience is the same as the myriad of other reviews of this product. I bought the washer in the summer of 2012. In less than four year the machine has rusted out around the bleach and soap dispensers. None of the preset (can't customize washes) was settings allow for enough water during the wash or rinse cycles and clothes always come out unclean and with large spots of soap residue. Loads have to be washed multiple times. In the past six months the drum has started to make a loud clicking and rubbing noise and the agitation cycle has become very rough. My guess is the plastic/rubber dampeners and main bushings are going out. Despite all of these problems Samsung is unwilling to warranty or even address any of the problems. A $1000 machine should last much longer than four years.

Brand new top load washer I purchased to stay away from the front load washer which I had read so many negative reviews about. Thought I was escaping the issue but unfortunately did not. Samsung typically has great products but this washer is not one of them. Interior tub of washer began smelling like mold 2 months ago. Performed all the quick fixes in the manual. Called customer service and performed all those fixes. Changed detergent used and cleaned drum regularly. Bottom line nothing worked. Mold smell is now permeating the laundry room and the kitchen adjacent. Customer Service had tech come out who wrote on the ticket "no solution for odor". Washer just purchased September 2015 so full warranty still in effect. Samsung customer service reps doing nothing so far. Have not offered replacement, have not offered money back, have done nothing. The point of warranty is?
What I think they are doing is to drag this out until the warranty expires in September thereby making the repair bill, parts and labor my responsibility. I have requested that Samsung come and get this machine out of my house. They sold me a product that does not work as directed and should be replaced or removed while still under warranty. Will not purchase another Samsung product whether it's phone, tv, or appliance unless they get this washer out of my home and refund me enough money to go and get a whirlpool or GE. Both of which were appliances I owned prior and worked for over 10 years without issue.

My Samsung washer model # WF328AW/Xaa02 was a real disappointment. When I purchased it, I took the 5-year repair plan. At the 6th year two major parts broke and it did not pay to repair it. I contacted both Samsung and PC Richards (my retailer) for help and after several phone calls no one offered any assistance. Bought the machine new just three years ago, along with a Samsung dryer. Over $1,600 was our purchase price from the Brick. There was only light domestic use for our family of 3. The washing machine started banging loud with a normal load on high spin. Leaked water all over the floor. Called repair service in. After an assessment and minor repair ($300+) it was established that the motor, direct drive and water sensor needed replacing. I contacted Samsung. They only covered the motor part only. The labour for the motor plus the parts and labour for the other two components were not covered. This repair cost estimated at around $600 would have exceeded the cost of a new washer especially when taking the original repair and assessment into account.
When I tried escalating the issue to a superior I was denied every time. It is unacceptable for a washing machine three years old to have broken down like this and for the manufacturer to show so much disdain for its customers to deny them of full coverage. I am now forced to buy a new machine. It is the only route to go considering the repair cost. If this is how Samsung treats its customers, they can forget about me buying any more of their products. Computers, monitors, TV's, appliances, EVERYTHING.
This company has picked my pocket by refusing to reimburse a once loyal customer who had purchased an obvious lemon. Spread the word. I am a procurement manager for a large organization and I can promise you it has tainted my view of Samsung products and I will make it my goal to pass the word to others. In future I'll look for a manufacturer that offers better life cycle costing and respects their customers.

Samsung WA8700 washer - Save your money and don't purchase this washer. I purchased washer/dryer set in November 2015 and called technical support within the first month. Clothes are not washing properly from lack of water. Water never fills above the clothes and the agitation is so slow that clothes never go below the water line. Black clothes come out with soap spots. Tech support says to put the rinse cycle twice (where's the energy savings). It's like buying one of those water saving toilets that you have to flush twice. Tech support recommend to use the Heavy Duty setting because the water level would be higher (tried it, doesn't work) and the clothes take 1 1/2 hours for a small load.

Samsung washer top loader and dryer are 4 years old. Selling points water saver adjusts according to size of load and can wash a queen size comforter. 1st issue, top of washer tub (the blue plastic piece) was leaving shavings in wash load. They said it was due to uneven loading and putting one item in or small loads instead of full loads. Only 1 item load is queen comforter and apparently can't wash it alone. Hmmm. 2nd small loads self-adjust just can't wash small loads? This was 2 months after I purchased. Repairman came in and shaved the plastic that was coming off. After many calls finally got a new tub. No problem with that since Samsung would not accept receipts Sears produced. Not enough info on receipt to allow warranty.
2nd issue, 1 1/2 years pump went out in washer. Repairman stated issue with pump's location and the drum knocks it off (repairman crazy or Samsung issue). All I know is they had a converter to change location of it so it didn't happen that says it happens a lot. 3rd issue started at 3 years. Rust around bleach cup but that's not all look at the rim in that area as well it's rusting out underneath all the way to the tub are. It is now 4 years old. Nothing but problems and clothes well probably cleaner if I hand wash them.

It was a beautiful color and the new style and I liked the glass lid so I could see in. I had the appliance a couple of years and it started not spinning properly. Always said it was off balance. No appliance repair person could fix it. They all said it works the best it can, which was intermittently and getting worse. Terrible!!! The most important factors are capacity and cost. Looks are secondary. Brand is relevant only to durability, lack of repair problems. Regular repairs are the worst part. I hated that I had just bought the new appliance and the fancy stuff doesn't work nearly as well as the tried and true old style, which is harder and harder to find. Front loaders are terrible b/c they require maintenance or smell. The ones without the agitator in the middle hold more but tend to go out of balance. I like being able to see inside and to open the lid when I want. Makers need more old-school washers that actually work instead of look fancy.

Thought Samsung made good products. They do, TV's and phone but their wash machines are complete junk and the support is non-existent. I have had this washer for less than 3 years and the entire inside started to rust out because the cheap pot metal they used was not painted or treated. Rust flakes were falling in and staining my clothes. Bought washer at Lowe's and they did NOTHING to help get it replaced.
I will never purchase another Samsung product ever. When I buy my next appliances they will be from an appliance store that will service and support what they sell and never again purchase from a Lowe's or Home Depot type place. RUST. My Samsung piece of junk has rusted out from the inside out and now I cannot wash white clothes in it for fear of rust chips ruining my clothes. Skip Samsung and you will be fine and skip Lowe's if you want any help when you have problems. Do yourself a favor and search ratings and reviews on the product before you buy and you will see all the people that have complained about Samsung washers.

Uses significantly less water and soap. Agitation is very complete. Washer turned jacket inside out down to the sleeves. We are very happy. Efficiency of wash and dry cycle. Dryer has settings for how dry you want the load and it is very accurate. More dry even gets comforters dry. Reliability has been key. I purchased a less expensive dishwasher and it had a problem causing $10,000 of damage to floors and cabinets. These are full size front loading; when I installed them we stacked them. Once I remodeled the laundry room I switched them to side by side on platforms; they are definitely easier to use in that configuration.

These two machines have it all -- high capacity, high energy efficiency, discounts, and excellent brand reputation. Top Loader Samsung with digital display and with multiple programs and what is termed a direct drive stainless bin. It appears well engineered, quiet in operation and easy on the wear and tear of clothes. Cold water washing is a quality of soap and the ability of the washer to accommodate cold water. One with at least 10 years parts and service guarantee. One that cleans the clothes and does not vibrate across the floor. Energy wise, the machine does use an efficient motor. Capacity could be about 3 pounds more of clothing. We are a family of 9 and the machine is used for 5 to 10 loads (sheets, clothing) per week.
Knowing that the spare parts will be available for the machine after the guarantee period. These new machines have electronic display panels and microprocessors to manage the sensors, the water load, and rotational spin. If this set of components failed, the repair costs may exceed half the price of a new replacement machine. The machine we purchased came with a 10 year direct drive mechanism. The machine's instruction manual for installation and use were very well done, and with today's internet technology, if we need further information about the machine, we need only visit the website. Samsung Front Loading Washer and Dryer - recommended by a family member. They are good-looking and work fairly well. My only complaint is that the pump filter on the washer clogs fairly often (I have dog hair in my laundry always). Cleaning the filter and draining the whole washer is a total pain. I have a large family and I do laundry - 2+ loads per day. I consider features, ease of use, water usage, and energy efficiency. Also I'd want quiet if that's possible. Must be sturdy and be able to run several times a day for years. I'd want mine to last a minimum of 10 years as they are expensive.
My Samsung Washer and dryer set are beautiful to look at. I have them in a stainless finish. I have had them for 6 years and they are still mostly going strong. Have had to do several rounds of repairs which is not my favorite part. I own several dogs and 3 boys so I do a ton of laundry and the machines have to work pretty hard (actually VERY hard)! I like that the units can either be on a pedestal or can stack. I have configured mine both ways in the time I have had them. I have them stacked now and love that. When I am ready for a new set, I'll probably go for Miele because I feel like the reliability could be better on the Samsungs.

Washer WF5000 and Dryer DV5000. Bought the washer first because it is a "middle of the road" price and had received good consumer ratings. We bought the dryer to match. We've had the washer for a few years and love it. The dryer does not dry as quickly or as thoroughly as the 20 year old dryer we got rid of in favor of this new one.
The Samsung WF5000 washer is terrific. It's been problem free, has a great variety of settings, and really washes clothes well and leaves them damp (not sopping wet). The DV5000 Samsung dryer was a disappointment. We had to have a service call because it was making strange noises and the tech supposedly checked the settings, but it still takes multiple cycles to get anything dry - including simple/light loads.

Both are Samsung approximately 3 years old and front loaders, simple, not fancy. I wanted a front load washer for many years, grew up with a Bendix a long time ago. I was disappointed with the lack of water used to wash clothes. If I have heavily soiled items (throw rugs, etc.) I wash twice. On the washer the controls have been not working for over a year, it will only wash on one cycle. The dryer is fantastic, dries well without cooking your clothes and am very pleased with it.
I look for reasonable capacity, large enough to wash bedspreads well, and the fact that the machine does what it is supposed to do, energy efficient is not as important. I do not heavily use the washer or dryer and expect at least 5 or 6 years of good service from them. They are in an interior wash room and well protected. If I get bad service from an appliance I will switch brands next time. I was so disappointed with the wash machine, will not buy another front load machine. I don't want fancy things (like steam), I just want a good wash job and able to pick cycle and temp. I love the large dryer, my clothes are less wrinkled and love the wrinkle free ability for when you can't get to the clothes right away.

We would not buy Samsung appliances again based on the experience we have had with especially our washer. Usually Samsung products are outstanding. I bought a Samsung front load washer and matching dryer in Onyx. It was a good price, great color and I expected a Samsung appliance to be good quality. The machine had all of the high-end features with easy to use controls. I also liked the colour (Onyx). What bothered me about this appliance is that it started to make a lot of noise and ruined quite a few pieces of clothing with oil stains when it was less than 2 years old. It was hard to get anyone at Samsung to help me find a repair person. The first place they sent me said they no longer service Samsung appliances due to the poor quality of the product. I finally went to Sears where I bought it and they sent a repair person who gave us an estimate of over $1,000 to repair the machine - more than it cost new. I had the appliance from September 2013 to August 2015. It is now in a garbage dump somewhere.
Capacity and energy efficiency were important to me. I thought I was buying a good quality brand too. (I didn't and it wasn't.) I will never buy another Samsung appliance - EVER. Had trouble getting Samsung to find a repair person and finally went back to Sears to get someone to come out and give an estimate on the repair. The repair was going to cost more than a new machine. I did a lot of research before buying and thought I was buying superior products. I bought Samsung HE top-loader large capacity and the matching gas dryer. I waited for a good sale to get the products I wanted at a good price. I bought them over 3 years ago. I wanted a large capacity HE top loader. I am most unhappy with the water levels and how when doing the initial sensing all the items bunch up on one side. I understand HE machines are designed to use minimal water but if it isn't enough to get all the laundry items wet it is not enough water. Also, the hot water does not work with a normal cycle.
I want the machine to work the way I expect without requiring manual intervention during the cycles. I want my laundry items to be clean without leftover residue. I want my clothes to be treated gently. I want my items dried completely. I have been really unhappy with my purchase. The main complaint I have is not sufficient water levels to cover the items. I also do not like that the clothes get all heaped on one side of the washer, requiring me to redistribute the items or they don't get wet. The initial sensoring seems to treat the items roughly.

Most are now energy efficient and capacity so I can do most any size load. It would have to be reliable! I can't be spending money on repairs! The construction and loss of socks would also play into it, however, it seems every dryer eats a sock now and then! The Samsung washer is very reliable, and is well built! Discounts are a blessing and brand reputation is most important because you want appliances that are reliable. Regular repairs would definitely be a deal breaker. Low quality construction as well. Paint chipping and rusting on the inside are horrible as well. I have a Samsung washer and dryer. The machine is top loading and the dryer is a front loader. They are both 4.5 capacity. I will NEVER buy another Samsung washing machine. 3 months after my extended warranty expired the drum bearing went. I was quoted a price of $800 (not including labor). I called Samsung customer service, got nowhere. Called NE office. The woman said she was the secretary for the VP and she was extremely nasty and of course did nothing for me. I loved it when I bought it but they don't stand behind their products.
This washing machine was very expensive and for it to last under 5 years too outrageous. Not to mention it is only myself and my husband in my home. Brand reputation is first on my list. I will be checking customer reviews for my next washer. Needs to be energy efficient and of course sale price. A lot of bad customer reviews would be my first deal breaker. We all need to be educated consumers nowadays because big companies don't care if you are dissatisfied. I am so frustrated with Samsung I will repeat myself. I have a 5 year old Samsung Steam Washer and Dryer HE. 3 months after my extended warranty ran out my washer died. The Samsung approved repairman said it was a front bearing and would cost $800 PLUS labor. I tried to get Samsung to give us a break on the part but of course they would help. I will never buy another Samsung washer. These new appliances are very expensive and they are throwaways.

Don't even know where to start. My 2 year old Samsung washing machine just completely exploded the other day. I am trying to find phone numbers to contact Samsung but everything I see is a Australia number. After doing lots of research I see that this is an ongoing problem but my machine is not listed as a recall. I had the company where I bought the machine from say it is repairable. How can you repair something made of metal that is not even a square anymore--and even think that it will work properly?
I will never have another Samsung in my house. I am now worried that my Samsung dryer will catch on fire. I am also hearing that they are blaming the consumer for not loading the machines properly. Why don't these machines have a warning system that lets you know that it is off balance or stops if it is not properly working or loaded? Does anyone out there have a number from within the USA that I can contact them?

Purchased my Samsung washer/dryer 7-8-2013 and now I'm on 3rd repair which by the way is the direct drive!!! Even though it has been making that horrible noise since the 3rd month of having it (which the technician said was normal???) it finally pooped out completely!!! Just so you know the drivetrain has a 10 yr warranty but does not include travel, diagnosis and repair of the unit even though in the manual it says at no cost to the consumer!!! If you're having rust issues around bleach cup or anywhere else inside, apparently there was a recall that they won't tell you about. Which was my second repair!
They had to replace the entire top with electronic board at that time. I just found out there had been a recall on that but yet the serviceman at that time was very rude and told me not to expect it to be fixed if it happens again??! Customer service for the most part was ok with just 2 hours on the phone being transferred from one person to another. Speaking English helps sometimes??? I will soon be purchasing yet another washer and it will never ever be a Samsung!! FYI... My old washer was 10 yrs and still going strong when I sold them (Maytag)!!!

Worst appliances I have ever purchased in 30 years. Washer and dryer have been problematic literally 2 days after the warranty expired. Drainage problems, spin cycle issues are the primary problems. Clothes smell like they have are moldy which I am told by the repair shop is a common problem. The drum literally rotated itself through the door and out of the machine (1 year and 2 days into use) and the hose broke in the process causing water damage to the floors and ceiling below, etc. Have had repairs at least 2x a year since the initial purchase and have invested $800 in repairs. The last repair person estimated the cost to repair the machine at $1179. The machine is 3 years old. I hope I can prevent you from making the same mistake I made. Don't buy a SAMSUNG!

I purchased my Samsung Washer model WA5451ANW approximately 4 years ago. Everything was fine until a year and half ago when my washer mysteriously stopped working. I called Samsung and, of course, it is out of warranty. I am a single mom with 5 children so having a non-working washer is not an option. A technician came out and said he needed to replace the Sub PCB. He ordered the part and scheduled an appointment for the installation. When he came back out, he replaced the Sub PCB and the motor. The machine worked but I kept getting an error message 8E and DC. The technician came out again and replaced the water valve and the PCB main board.
Unfortunately, the error continued. The unit will wash, get to the spin cycle and then the error will occur. If we push the start/pause button rapidly, sometimes it will reset and continue to wash. Other times, it will drain and start the load all over again. That was the fix we lived with for a year because I couldn't afford to get it looked at or replace it. My water bill has doubled from the washer restarting the loads. We got to the point where it took 5 hours to wash one load of clothes. I finally got someone out to look at it again. I wish I had just replaced it. This time it needed a harness and a sensor. Like the desperate and broke mother I am, I told him to fix it because he said this would do the job. Wrong. Now the washer won't drain water at all. I wish I had never tried to repair it at all. With all the money I spent, I could have bought a new machine.
Now I am stuck going to the laundromat until I get enough money to buy a new machine. This has been a horrible experience and I will never buy another Samsung washer again. Samsung should admit that there is an issue with their units. It seems that I am not the only person having these issues. Samsung do the right thing and refund our money!

We had a Kenmore for 17 years and I was sad that it finally quit working. So we went shopping and purchased our $1,000 samsung (no you do not deserve the respect of being capitalized). It's a top loader, completely digital, washing machine and is now a little over 2 years old. The last two months have been horrible. I can't get the machine to spin the water out of clothes efficiently enough to put them in the dryer. And no it does not matter the size or bulk of the load. I have tried using the spin only cycle, a 12 min. cycle and at 9 min. the tub sounds like it is going to come out of the machine. I pause the machine, rearrange the items, hit restart and it starts dumping water into the load. So, I stand there stopping and starting the cycle for the first 3 of 12 min about 7-8 times before I can get enough of the water off that the items are not dripping wet.
No I have not called customer service. What good will it do? We live in the rural part of the state and nobody comes out here. I just wanted it to be known what a poor product you (samsung) have and after reading all the other posts on your website I am appalled at your lack of customer service for those who have called. No one has time to make daily calls and wait all day for a service tech who might or might not show up only to have to repeat the process multiple times. Maybe you need to put some of that profit back into your products. As of now I will not longer be buying any of your products; appliances, electronics, or phones (that's a whole novel in its self- and the main reason I did not attempt to call on the washer. I will tell everyone I know what a bad products you create and I will be looking for a Kenmore machine.

The serviceman told me that things weren't hooked up that should have been done at the factory. However he got it working. Recently the washer had stopped going through a complete cycle. I tried everything that the manual told me to do. Still not working properly. I was finally fed up and called Samsung. They will not stand behind their product. Oh I can someone come out and look at it, but first I have to give a $135.00 fee just to have a tech come out. I fear for any other charges that I am sure will come. We maintain our machine monthly and now are expecting a 375.00 to as much as 500.00 repair bill. I spoke to Samsung this morning and because of the age of the machine (4 1/2 years) they were not willing to even address our dismay but to recommend another repair company and another service charge we have already had two repairmen look at the machine and have confirmed the problem (a broken drum) very unusual since the machine has not been moved and has been maintained.

Our washing machine is 7 months old and still in warranty... We now have 3 error codes that show up (de, ue & 4e). We followed every instruction as to how to fix it, checking the hoses for kinks, turning off water supply and resetting etc.. Nothing has worked so we requested for a repairman to come see it. I had all the faith in Samsung and our first encounter on the phone was eventful... Well that is what I thought at the time.
They said they had created an order number and a technician will call us the day after to set up a time to assess the machine.. So now it is after 8pm the day after and it has taken me more than 20 trips to the laundry today to try wash 2 loads of washing. Our machine would not stop beeping and let's just say at 40 weeks pregnant it isn't pleasant to be woken up by a faulty machine that many times. After trying to take out the drenched clothes that wouldn't spin and having to call my partner in to help me... We gave up in washing our clothes.. Heavens knows how on earth we are going to wash baby clothes when our baby arrives any day now.
And to make matters worse no call today from Samsung - I had to call them today again begging for someone to please be sent out to fix this issue which has been happening for over a month now. They assured me our order has been put on a priority list and someone will call us tomorrow. A washing machine is not like a tv, it is a necessity nowadays. If this prolongs any longer we will have to resort to taking all our washing down to the gas station to be washed. This is highly inconvenient with a newborn baby, costly and seems unnecessary especially when we bought a brand new Samsung washing machine only 7 months ago. Our other option is to fork out another 1000 on a machine.. Obviously not Samsung brand because we need a working washing machine now before our baby arrives.
I used to work for Samsung whilst I was at University and I do really hope they can fix these issues a lot of people are having with their faulty machines. But they need to realise when it comes to a washing machine the turnaround time needs to be no more than 1 week or compensation should at least be offered to try keep customers somewhat happy with the service. Do not buy one of these machines - it is not worth the added stress!

The estimate to fix this is almost half the cost of the dryer, but Samsung said we are out of luck and we have to pay for it. That's bad business. They should take accountability for poor quality parts especially less than 6 months old. Samsung obviously does not care about their customers because they will not replace it. I am afraid the broken seal could be a safety issue and reduce the performance of the dryer, but they don't care and that is sad.

I bought this Samsung 5451 top load washer, a little skeptical, with hopes that I would be pleased. Well, I have been nothing but disappointed to say the least. Within the first month, I had a service call and they had to replace the circuit board. Then the next 3 calls were for leaking. Then the next call was because it didn't want to spin. I was told that I had to have a service tech come out 4 times to fix the same thing to be able to get a new washer. That is a bunch of CRAP!!! I was sold a lemon and they would not make it right.
So last week, after 3 years and 9 days (it was 9 days out of warranty) it finally quit working. Something was burning so my husband unplugged it. The top was locked with a load of clothes and a half full tub of water in it. Being there was no power, we could not open the door. He called Samsung and they said he would have to pry it open. Needless to say after $999.00 and 3 years later, that night we went to Sears and got a Kenmore Elite (and I am not a salesperson for Sears) and so far so good. The Samsung is sitting out by the garbage waiting for the garbage men to come... BUYER BEWARE!!!

It is an enginerd at Samsung, and not you, who thinks he knows what temperature you want. When you push 'cold' you are not going to get cold. It will be a mix of hot and cold. About 1/3 of the time, I get just scalding hot. This machine has ruined so many fine clothes. Contact their online support? Hah! They will email you back in about a month, and send you a 'helpful tip' to make sure your hoses are not crossed. They are not crossed. Check the owner's manual? Hah! This is how they planned it, to give you the 'best' temperature they think you should have... not what YOU pick, but what the enginerds thinks you should want.
The best fix? You cannot just turn off the hot water. If you push 'cold' and start the machine, it will have a little tantrum that it cannot access the hot water tap... because, of course, selecting cold means to the engineer who designed it that you should want at least some if not a lot of hot water. The machine will just stop working if it cannot access the hot water too. So... I bought a brass Y at Home Depot for just a few bucks. I installed it on the cold water tap and hooked both the machine's hot and cold hoses to it. This works great for those who like to wash in cold. I have read online those who prefer just hot water often get cold or lukewarm (again... those Samsung enginerds know better than you what you want). You could do this same thing with the hot water tap. Unfortunately, other than unhooking and hooking hoses, you can't get warm.

They told me to contact the Samsung directly since the 90 days' period was over and I did not buy an extended warranty. The machine was repeating the taking and draining water the whole time.
I called the Samsung, the customer service representative was of no help. He actually did not know what was going on and keep saying that I need to schedule an appointment for a technician to check the machine. I insisted to speak with a "qualified" technician or his supervisor. I was put on hold and then the supervisor came online and she said that it is nothing, just disconnect, wait for 60 seconds and replug the machine. I did the same and the machine started working. I wanted the money back but my family is kind of scared of fighting with giant corporates. The exact same thing happened again today. It won't stop repeating taking and draining of water on the Spin cycle, so I called the Samsung customer service but they don't operate on weekends. My daughter remembered their advice from the last time and she unplugged the machine and replugged it. Nothing, nothing. It started the same thing.
Finally I turned the power off, took out the clothes, emptied the drum, and soaked out the water manually. Then there is a problem with the dryer as well. I have been noticing that the dryer adds up cycle time automatically. On permanent Press (very dry, medium temperature and wrinkle prevent combination) cycle it takes 52 minutes. After running up to 49 it resets itself to 57 minutes. Again it decides to add few more minutes, thus the cycle which is supposed to end within 52 minutes continues for up to 90 minutes. It happens randomly. Today I decided to take the video and it acted in reverse direction! Started at 52 (6:42pm), from 49 it skipped the cycle to 30! And amazingly those 30 minutes ended at 7:55 pm.
I am highly disappointed with this machine. I will contact the Samsung on Monday and ask for the money back. If they don't co-operate I will file a lawsuit. Yes, I am determined this time. You spend $1176.00 relying on the claims of the manufacturer and no one takes responsibility and back up their own product, neither the retailer nor the manufacturer, which is not acceptable. I will update this review on Monday after the response from the Samsung.

Purchased a Samsung top load washer and a dryer from Lowe's on January 18, 2013, due to my wife being adamant on owning a Samsung. I advised her that due to past bad experience with Samsung/Sony products, I did not want to purchase these items. The washer and dryer were purchased and now, 3 years later the bleach reservoir has rusted to the point that it is flaking into the washed clothes. Have tried contacting Lowe's and Samsung for assistance; however, was advised that this is a cosmetic issue that cannot be validated as an extended warranty. Basically told "Oh well, not our problem." By looking into consumer affairs, it appears this issue has hundreds of other complaints. You would think that someone would look into some type of a recall for Samsung washers?

This washing machine (WA400) has been a nightmare. First the discharge pump went out. We were told it was a bad design and there was a newer one that we needed, total cost around $450. The next problem was with the sensors, another $330. At this point we decided to cut our losses. The fact that Samsung knew the design was bad but would not help with the replacement was bad enough but when the sensors went out a few months later that was the last straw. Stay away!

The bottom line is that they are awful! I have more lint and hair on my clothes after washer OR dryer than I have on my head. I empty the lint trap after every use but somewhere inside these machines is a demon that puts lint and hair on everything! I have had to throw a garment away weekly, especially cotton. I have to hand wash things I love or they are ruined. I have used duct tape and lint rollers but it's too time-consuming to do every piece I wash. I hate this set. HATE IT! DONT BUY IT! BUYER BEWARE!

We purchased our WF220ANW washer 5 years ago. We were shocked that after many phone calls and they assured me that they stand behind their product, they assured me that both Samsung and myself would be satisfied at the end of my claim. They strive for excellent customer experience. However after finally getting a technician out that they sent, then the technician made me pay the $65.00 service call in which they never said I had to pay. They were supposed to pay. The technician found that because my unit caught fire and I now needed to replace my motor, motherboard, valves and all the wiring, that it was a complete loss and too much to fix. Then when they submitted the order to Samsung, they denied it. They are a horrible company to deal with. Now when I call, after they find out who I am, they have me wait on the phone for more than 30 minutes each time and they do not pick up the phone. HORRIBLE!

I cannot tell you how much I hate my new Samsung washing machine. I'm not sure if it's the Samsung model or the low water level of new machines, but the clothes do NOT get clean. At the end of each washing cycle, especially with dark colored clothes, I have to either rinse them again or use tape to remove the remaining soap residue. And, NO, I do not use too much soap. For a full load, especially with dark colors, I use maybe a tablespoon of detergent. I turn the clothes inside out. I do everything I can think of, but to no avail. At the end of the cycle, I have dirty looking clothes.

Washing Machine WA45H7000AW/A2 Toploader. I purchased this machine on salesman recommendation from Pacific Appliance Sales in March 2014. About 6 months ago, the spin cycle would intermittently not spin all the water out. Calling Samsung customer care, I was told to rebalance the machine. Now, the lack of spin is more frequent so I called La Mesa Appliance Repair. The repair person related that this was a common problem with this model. The factory issued springs were not strong enough and 4 months ago Samsung sent out a notice in the Samsung Service Bulletin that a new spring replacement was available.
When calling Samsung about the "factory defect," they said they could do nothing as I only asked for reimbursement for the spring replacement for $170 (parts and labor), not the $79.95 service call. I also learned that another defect of the washing machine was the "electrical harness." Another factory defect that causes the tub not to empty itself of water. The factory installer crimps the original wire attachment too hard which causes the fragile 6 wires enclosed in the attachment wire to break after normal machine agitation. I was on the phone to Samsung while the factory certified repairman was still in progress of repair.
After a two and a half phone wait, and 3 Samsung customer relations personnel, I was told I would be contacted by the Executive Customer Relations, a dept of Samsung, as soon as possible. One and a half hours later, I was disconnected by the customer relations rep (with a promise for a call back should we be disconnected). NO Call BACK. Reading other customer complaints, I see that the product is defected. Will never buy another Samsung product nor advise a purchase from their company.
As well, the certified repair agents are well aware of these factory defects. Their job is to notify Samsung, which Samsung relates..."We do not have negative reports from these accounts." If a repair ticket is sent into Samsung by the certified repair agent, the Samsung factory reimbursement is much lower than what the Certified Repair entity will charge. The good faith consumer is left paying out the bucks for well known factory defects that should be compensated for by the factory producer. Shame on Samsung! Anyone know of a class action suit against Samsung?

I am a customer of Samsung with code 3300079639 and I bought the last model of Samsung washing machine WF9802RWE/YLV (8 kg clothes) 5 years ago which was very expensive but fully automated and high tech. The use of this machine was pretty normal all those years and I was very happy with its operation. Last week the washing machine stopped working with the clothes inside and the indication 'te2' appeared on the screen.
I called the local service (service one) in Athens, Greece as I was told by the local agent of Samsung. They, of course, charged me for the visit and they told me that this indication was unknown, so they assumed that the PCB (printed circuit board) of the front panel should be replaced. The next day they called me to give me the cost of the front PCB, that was 170 euros for the spare part, plus 40 euros the placement and in case it did not work I had to replace the central PCB for another 200 euros. This cost is equivalent to, not one but two, new simple washing machines!!!
Of course I cannot buy the PCB and 'fix' this repair because I am not sure of what will follow... I am very disappointed with Samsung washing machine, as I paid a lot of money for it and now I have to throw it away and buy another one in only five years time!!! I am very disappointed not only with the mother company, but the local agent and the service, as well. I will not trust this brand again in the future!!!

The power outlet was fine, so a service call was placed.
The service tech troubleshot the unit and determined that the problem was in the front panel control board (printed circuit). When he attempted to locate a replacement board (via 5 vendors) he reported back that the part was no longer being manufactured and is not available through any of his resources. This tech and his company had nothing to gain by stating that, in fact, they did not even charge us for the service call. The issue is that a washer of 5 years or less should have repair parts available for much longer than 5 years. Attention Samsung... I bought a Samsung front load washer 4 yrs ago, and a month ago it broke down on me. The rubber seal had a hole in it. I forgot to renew my extended warranty so I had to pay out of pocket. I ended of paying $175 for them to fix and replace the rubber seal. but they never checked the washer to see if something else was wrong because the first tech came out and said it was that, and didn't check the whole washer. Then the second guy came, I just told him it's the seal so he believed me and didn't check it only because I told him the first said it was just the seal. So the second guy left and it started having the word "low" blinking on and off on the screen and would not wash anything. Then I had to call another tech and he said it would cost $524 to fix it cause it had a 3 or 4 leaks at the top of the washer when you take off the top where all lines go.
So in all I spent $300 just for them to fix the seal and to keep coming out just to see what's wrong with it. I thought washers supposed to last longer than 4 yrs. So I decided to buy a new top load Samsung washer. Besides Samsung washers is number one in cycle & performance ratings, and the top load is second best. I want to try the top load cause it's more space inside for the same price and easier to wash, and don't have to worry about the smell from keeping the washer closed after so many washes, and the noise that it makes when the spin cycle is on, and the drum making noises. What a headache and poor quality. I got that one from Best Buy but I'm getting my new one from Conn's and gonna make sure I renew my extended warranty when it's time.

I re-distribute and re-distributed it in different ways. This does not work. I put only two identical pieces evenly distributed. Not working. Then four pieces and don't Work.
Leveling and Leveling and Leveling not solve the problem for me. I think the best way to level is filling with some water and checking the water level touch the same line of holes in the inner drum. You have to revise that all feets touch firmly the floor. Don't Work for me. Padding and Padding and Padding not solve the problem for me. I used memory foam, a pillow, a wooden stick, etc, etc. I padded first the upper side then the lower side. I tried differents padding configurations. Work one time in 20 tries and then DC ERROR again.
Cleaning the suspension Rods with degreaser not solve the problem for me. If you think that the center plastic part of the suspension rod should move freely that's and error. The "shock absorber" action is not working if the center plastic over the coil moves freely. Cleaning make it worst. Oiling them does not work neither. The new ones that I received has much resistance to movement and have a very sticky grease on the rod. What solve my problem? I BUY THE FOUR SUSPENSION RODS AND INSTALLED THEM at the same time. Being very good at fixing things (former engineer machine designer) I removed the backplate finding a purple wire had been pre-cut wrongly and finally gave way. We bought a brand new dryer on 12/9/15 and were able to dry about 10 loads of laundry before it stopped working. The dryer runs but there is no heat. I called your service dept on 12/26/15 and was told that someone would call me within the next 2 business days to schedule someone to come out. At the end of the 2nd business day I called your service dept again because I still had not received a call. Finally we got someone scheduled to come out yesterday, but your service dept had given them the wrong address (the one they were given wasn't even close) so the appt was canceled. They cannot come out again until 1/13/16. I was on the phone with Samsung yesterday for over 2 hours trying to get this taken care of before Samsung disconnected my call. I have spent over 4 hours on the phone with Samsung since 12/26 when this began, and still do not have a resolution.
I purchased a brand new dryer that cost over $1000 and was able to use it 10 times, for only 15 days before it stopped working. Samsung sold a defective machine. Samsung gave an incorrect address, and I the consumer am the only one who has to deal with it because Samsung's customer service dept has done NOTHING to help correct the problem in a timely manner.
I have a family of 4, and we live about 30 min away from the closest laundromat. I have spent countless hours driving to and from and waiting at the laundromat. I have spent a lot of money on gas and paying for the laundromat after I spent $1000 on a new dryer. None of these mistakes have been made by me, yet Samsung has been unwilling provide any kind of helpful customer service as of yet. This is an incredible inconvenience, and I hope that today Samsung will help correct the situation. I really cannot wait until the 13th, which is the earliest available service appt, to use my brand new dryer.

I purchased a Samsung washing machine in June, 2014. After about 45 days I started having problems with the machine. It would get out of balance and would not wring out the clothes. After having repairmen out here several times and replacing several parts it worked most of the time. I was still getting out of balance codes and water fill errors. We do wash many clothes per week. When I was offered a service policy in December of 2014 I purchase it. Once again the water is running out from under the washing machine all over the place. I tried for a week to get some service set up but one department doesn't seem to know what the other department does.
I kept being transferred from one person to another and then hung up on by several people. I had to get online and tell the Samsung representative what company in my area repaired Samsung products (not many because as one serviceman told me, they are a piece of junk and they lose money by working on them). I will NEVER EVER purchase a Samsung product again. Their customer service doesn't know what they are doing and doesn't care that you are having problems. After trying for a week to get service set up, it will now be another week before someone can come out. I am considering setting this machine on fire and searching for a more reputable company to do business with.

I bought a Samsung front load washer 5 years ago. It was very noisy while spinning since the beginning. I thought my floor was uneven. About two months ago it stopped during the spinning cycle. It cost me about $300 to get it fixed. About a month later after repair, it started doing the same thing. I forgot to mention that it continues to leak water from underneath. Then three weeks ago the door latch stopped working. I called the tech I used before, but he never called back. Another tech came, and he said it would cost me 259.00 to have it fixed. I asked him to leave, but I still owe $89 for the service call. I Googled how to repair it.
I got the part online and did it myself. The technicians are a bunch of thieves, in my opinion. The part for the door latch was only $54 online. He had quoted me $104 for it. The problem is that they are only a few of them who do these expensive appliances. They quote you whatever prices, and you're stuck with them because the service fee is so high. This washer has been nothing but trouble. I could have bought a new top load by now. I will probably wind up doing that. This piece of junk keeps on stopping on spinning cycle and leaking water. I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE. If you're thinking about buying a Samsung appliance DON'T!

We bought a Samsung washing machine 3 years ago. My husband convinced me to spend close to $1000 for it because we have two small children and it's something we use often. I digress, this washing machine has been extremely disappointing. It is loud but I can live with loud. It gets thrown off balance easily that ate up the top plastic on the inside. One of the dampeners blew out while on a spin and broke apart the actual clips holding together the metal exterior. We replaced the part. The rust is so bad on both the bleach dispenser area and soap/softener dispenser area (not the plastic but the metal surrounding them) I do not use bleach and I use a environmentally friendly detergent.
If you are making something that hold water maybe make sure it doesn't rust in a few short years. The cycles don't allow me to just drain and spin out wet clothes. When the machine get off balance (often) I need to readjust the clothes, but then the wash cycle starts all over even if it was on spin at the end and there is no way to just drain and spin it. We read all great reviews before buying it but I would definitely not recommend buying this product. The entire time there have been one problem after another. This was a very large purchase for our family and only a few short years and I am looking at having to replace it. Model #WA5471ABWXAA01

I purchased a Samsung model number wf42h5000. Bought from Home Depot! I had trouble with washer not going into fast spin mode and leaking on floor. I contacted Samsung warranty because I did purchase an extended warranty, thank goodness. The service dept are not friendly and most don't speak English very well so they are hard to understand. After jumping through all the hoops they gave me to troubleshoot washer, then they told me it was just off balance. And to balance it, I waited for my husband to get home and he said it was balanced. I called a friend of mine that works on Samsung and he said it sounds like issue with drum! I called them back and insisted on having a repair person to look at it! They said give someone 72 hours to call and set up a appointment, and they never called. I had to call them back after 3 days and they said appointment was scheduled for the next day between 8-5. Ok now I have to take off a day from my job.
He comes out and tells us it's major repair needed, said back of drum is cracked and 3 other things wrong, said would have to call Samsung warranty for approval to repair and would have to give them time to answer. He did call me back and told me parts would have to be ordered and would take 3 more days to get in, so may be another week to repair. Keep in mind I have already been over a week without a washer. It will cost more to fix than the machine originally cost. Why didn't they just drop-ship me another washer! I have had it with Samsung washer and dryer! I had them come out 3 times about the dryer while under 1 year old!

It became so loud we discontinued to use it and called Samsung for direction. They gave me a service number in our area that never returned our call. We called a friend of ours who repairs appliances who told us to junk the machine. My recommendation is to never spend your money on a Samsung washing machine. Machine purchased 9/15. The first load I did came out dirtier, see picture of the white slipcovers. I didn't complain because it was a gift. This is what I noticed from the beginning: Whites got dirtier. The clothes did not smell or get clean. No soap smell either. The clothes were so twisted that some straps tore. The loads were often off balance and it did not accommodate larger loads. Often I had to wash the loads twice and use extra rinse (extending the time by 30 min. and increasing amt of water) overriding the "High efficiency" claim.
When I washed a single pair of pants with vinegar stains and they came out still dirty, I hit my limit and I called Samsung customer service. After waiting an eternity, the first trouble shooter put the blame on me. I didn't clean the filter, didn't check the hoses, how much soap etc. I insisted on speaking with a manager. Sonji gave me the same run around. Finally she agreed to send a repair person. The Sears salesman agreed it was worthless AND another woman came in to complain when my daughter was there complaining. Samsung exec. rep. said I was the only dissatisfied customer she had dealt with. I suggested she read some blogs. She said she couldn't control what people wrote!!! I purchased a Samsung top load washing machine in Jan. 2014. The machine needed to be repaired 6 times in less than 2 years. Luckily I purchased a 5 year warranty. The only problem with the warranty is the time it takes for the company to contact a repair company to come out and make a diagnosis and order the parts needed for the repair. Unfortunately this can take up to 2 weeks for the repair to be made. Since Samsung washing machines have so many issues, the parts are not readily available. I have never seen such a piece of garbage. The shocks are constantly going bad and the motor is a piece of garbage held onto the machine with a cheap plastic bracket. Although the machine boasts it can wash queen size bedding, it can barely wash a set of sheets. Samsung should just stick with making cells phones, everything else they make is crap including their cars and all other appliances.

Two years ago my wife and I bought a Samsung top loader washing machine and dryer. Being in our 60's we are not heavy users of our washing machine. Last summer the washer would not spin. A tech was dispatched after I gave them my credit card for a $100 to scheduled a service date. The tech said the washer was overloaded. It wasn't even 1/3rd full. So he replaced the shocks??? The total cost was approx. $400. Shortly afterwards I noticed rust on the rim of the top of the washer which would let rust drain into the clothes.
The top was replaced in Sept. '15. Now the washer runs hot water continuously until it drains our hot water heater. I called Samsung hoping the top replacement (where all the electronic controls and plumbing are) in September would have a parts warranty. Well it does not but they will sell me a special extended 1 year warranty for $390. But if the service provider can't fix it, they will refund my money. I currently own 3 Samsung TVs, 1 computer monitor, and a Galaxy 5 Smartphone. I have tried to be a loyal Samsung user but they keep finding reasons for me to try another manufacturer of electronics.

In November of 2015 my wife and I decided to purchase a new washer and dryer for our daughter and son in law who live in Tacoma Washington. Since we reside in Des Moines, Iowa I did some review of appliance dealers in the Seattle market and came up with Metropolitan Appliance as a highly recommended vendor. I contacted them and spoke to Jim ** with Metropolitan Appliance (206-623-8811) and purchased the above described units. These units were delivered on Saturday December 4th to our daughter in Tacoma Washington. The boxes which the unit came in showed no damage however when they were opened both units were damaged.
The washer had cosmetic damage to the front panel and the dryer case was damaged to the point that the drum rubbed the case. Jim suggested he could take these back but my pregnant daughter would then have no laundry available which would be very inconvenient. Jim agreed to contact Samsung on Monday and have an authorized servicer replace the cabinet of the dryer and the front panel of the washer. On December 7th Jim contacted HNG Appliance (206-723-6848) your authorized servicer and they said they would contact my daughter.
HNG did and set an appointment for December 14th to come out. My daughter also emailed HNG photos of the damage. I also at this time contacted Samsung support and explained the situation (Transaction #** and #**). HNG then contacted my daughter and canceled the appointment and rescheduled for December 18th. On December 15th my son in law was contacted by HNG who said they would not be coming out at all and told him to contact Samsung Support. I called and emailed Jim ** expressing my disappointment with all that had transpired.
I then contacted Samsung support again and over a phone call of 1 hour and 59 minutes talked to a support person, then his supervisor, then Dupree in ERC. Dupree contacted Metropolitan appliance and then HNG appliance. While I was on hold with Dupree I received an email from Jim ** (in response to my earlier email) who said he would order a new washer and dryer and replace the existing ones when they come in. Frankly this is not Metropolitan appliances problem as these were obviously damaged when they left your factory.
I want to let you know the following: 1. Jim ** and Metropolitan Appliance are stand up people and you should be proud that they represent your company. 2. HNG did nothing to stand behind your product and should be reconsidered as your representative. 3. Your support team and ECR were very little help to this consumer and were only interested in telling me about your company's policy and how it couldn't be Samsung problem. I believe you have great strides to take to achieve good customer support and I hope you take my experience seriously. The consumer should never be put in the position that we have been put in when you purchase a new product from a manufacturer like Samsung.

I finally had to take out the three towels and spin the sheet and then the three towels. My old Whirlpool of 16 years did the wash from start to finish without a hitch.
I have four wash loads every week. Towels, bedding, colors & whites which took about six hours now with the Top Load Samsung that was rated so high by you all know what popular Report that is a household name takes about 9 plus hours. The user manual shows you to fill up three quarters with dry laundry (clothing) that is a farce. You cannot go even to the halfway mark, it will not wash. I never wanted this NAFTA made product but there is little else to choose from. Even for FREE I do not want another Samsung product. This machine has made laundry a miserable task for me each week.

After much research, purchased a Samsung washer and dryer in 2011. This washer was rated by Consumer Reports as the top of the line. We are now at the end of 2015, and I just had to go buy a new washing machine. The plastic piece of junk "spider" on the back of the drum broke and the washer wouldn't spin. After waiting 2 weeks for the service repair people to come, we were told it would cost $800.00 to repair and that amount did not include labor costs.
I am done with front loader washing machines. I am done with all the fancy settings and electronics. I just bought a good old fashioned top-loading agitator washer by Speed Queen and paid less than the cost of repairing my previous expensive plastic junk. Further, I am done listening to Consumer Reports. Not sure what they are testing when they give their ratings but clearly they not reliable. It is a shame that this time, I did my research on durability and longevity and consumer complaints. None of the washers out now with all the fancy settings and gadgets are built to last. Sometimes going back to the basics is the way to go.

Bought a Samsung Dryer DV422EWHDWR/AA March of 2014. About a month ago it make this really bad noise. So I called the Tucker Store where we had bought it and told them. They sent someone out who said it was the drum and it was not welded right. I thought well this is not a warranty problem, it is a defective product problem so surely they would fix it or get me a new one. Barely a year old.
The repair man informed me that they did not make this dryer any more so there was no way to just replace the drum - I would have to buy a new one. Wonder why they don't make this dryer anymore??? So at the same time my husband is in hospice dying and I am picking out a coffin I have to deal with a dryer that I need to replace. Plus I am worried about it rubbing wrong and starting a fire or something. So mad!!
The place where I bought it won't do anything nor will the Samsung. Plus read a lot of reviews and I got the same answers and run around, with no phone calls returned. No more Samsung products for me anymore !!! Just wrong to sell a defective product and have to buy a new one. Dryers usually last at least 8-10 years. Plus it was only the 2 of us. WRONG!!!

Obviously I thought the machine would be replaced, fortunately we have a 5 year warranty! It is SAMSUNG policy to repair, not replace! The machine requires a new drum, pump, motor and various parts. We purchased a front load washer for over $1000. It stopped working after less than four years. The experience with Samsung was a major disappointment in terms of standing behind the quality of their products and customer service. After researching the issue of our washer and talking to a repair service, we determined that would be more expensive to fix than buy a new.
My husband called Samsung, explained the situation and since we have the companion dryer sitting right next to it in a visible place, asked if the much internet document "design flaw" had been addressed and how they are dealing with customers like us who paid a lot of $ for substandard equipment. He was recommended to purchase the "Protection Plus" plan. He questioned that since we already knew that it is broken, that doesn't make a lot of sense. Three different customer support people from Samsung insisted that this is what is recommended by Samsung. Although he asked for in writing several times the terms, he was told that they cannot email.
Later, after many hours on the phone talking to many people, he learned that there was a web link. Long story short, they required us to have a service call that we didn't need because we already knew the outcome, costing us $100. Once it was confirmed that it was not repairable, they told us that will return the $300+ for the Protection Plus. We were told that if could not repair, they would replace.
Maybe can chalk it up to bad procedures, untrained workers, or a lot of possible reasons. From this side, it felt like fraud. Reluctantly, we had to dish out another $1000 for a new Samsung washer rather than purchasing another dryer too. We are out the $100 for the service call we did not need. That, however, will be the last Samsung we ever buy.

My 3 year old Samsung Washer, Model WF218ANB, stopped spinning. Service tech indicated filter was clogged and gasket was worn. When he took the front off to replace the gasket, he discovered most of the bearings holding the drum in place were missing (broken off or dislodged) and during the spin cycle, the drum was unbalanced and eroding the gasket. Costs to fix it were greater than the cost of a new machine. He put it back together and warned me it could last a week or a few months before it completely died. Meanwhile, I am shopping for a basic, low tech, top loader. I rated this machine one star because they didn't have a place for no stars. In June of 2014 My husband and I purchased a top load (WA50F9A7DSW) and front load dryer (DV50F9A7EVW). Within a month, we had to exchange the dryer due to a metal on metal grinding sound in the drum. Now that the product is out of warranty, the newer one is making that noise. Out of luck on that one according to Samsung.
Now the washer. This is a minor problem compared to some I have read on this site, but there is a pulsator cap in the drum of the washer. Samsung decided to make this cover out of plastic, so guess what... It broke off. Now there is an exposed screw in the drum that will tear clothing. Samsung offered to order the part (after I pay for it of course) that will take two weeks to receive. Really, two weeks without a washer! Family of five here! Can't wait to experience some of the other frequent problems I am reading about on this site. To all thinking about buying a Samsung washer.... I bought a Samsung washer and dryer in April 2013. It's now 2 1/2 years later and the washer broke. I contacted Samsung to inquire about it being fixed under warranty. They agreed to cover the drain pump and repair. The repairman came to my house today and found other damage occurred when the drain pump broke. I called Samsung back to make sure the other repairs would be covered under warranty. The representative told me it would be covered. I then received a phone call from the repair company telling me my portion of the cost of the repair would be $361.00.
So... Another phone call to Samsung, talked to at least 5 people and 2 hours of my time, they told me they wouldn't cover the other repairs because those parts were out of the year warranty period. I explained that those parts wouldn't have broken if the drain pump (which is STILL under warranty) didn't break. My thoughts.are... It should all be covered because a part STILL under warranty caused all the damage. Bottom line... Don't buy Samsung... They have HORRIBLE customer service practices.

The bill for repair will be more than $300. The seller's warranty is one year, and as a result, there is nothing Best Buy can do. I was advised to contact Samsung. After being cranked through the various connections on the phone for half an hour, all I got was a curt, rude answer: the year is over! No support whatsoever! Now, the dishwasher doesn't work properly, the dryer broke (cheap plastic piece melted to the steel part of another) and the guts of the dryer look like they're built by Matel. And all of the appliances are showing rust spots (we have stainless steel) because it's the cheapest stainless ever. In short.. DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG APPLIANCES.
I don't care if they're having the sale of the century. Do not buy them. The person who fixed our dryer told us to expect the washer to go next since they use ALUMINIUM within the drum which is up against STEEL. Any moron or engineer would tell you that having these two types of metal together is a recipe for disaster. It WILL rust out within 3-4 years, guaranteed. (The piece is the tri-spoke support that holds the drum in place). Basically, once it weakens one enough, it will snap and the drum will wobble until it collapses.
We're beyond frustrated by Samsung, by their response to this issue, and wish we would have seen so many of the reviews we now see out there. If we had the money to start a class action against them, we would. This company deserves to go bankrupt.

After doing a lot of research on washing machines, we chose a Samsung because it had a high rating. Just a little over a year later, the metal rim where you put the detergent is completely rusted. It is chipping off slowly. It also grows mold. It is also rusting underneath the tray where you put the bleach. I leave the lid open to dry out, too. It also doesn't take long before it is smelly. Now the lock mechanism is broken, so I can't even start the washer. Since I have to have that repaired, we have decided to junk the whole thing and start over.
Believe me, it won't be a new Samsung. This washer isn't even deserving of a one star rating. The company wasn't any help when I called about it because it was no longer under warranty. (I noticed the problem 2 months after their 1 year warranty expired.) So we are now in the market for a new washer, and believe me, it won't be a Samsung! We purchased a washer and dryer about 2 1/2 years ago. Last December the washer began to leak slightly. The small leak turned into a flood and the machine stopped working. I called for service (I had no warranty) and because of the age of the machine was referred to Samsung to see what my options were. After explaining the issue, I was told I could purchase an extended year-long warranty for $350ish, which I did. Samsung Protection then scheduled a service call. When the service provider arrived, I was informed that the issue was a drain pump that had fallen off as a result of a design flaw and that it would take two weeks to receive the part. This should have been paid for by Samsung as a design flaw, but since I had been sold an extended warranty, the point was moot. Do I believe the person who sold me the extended warranty knew that the problem was a design flaw? Yes, I do.
A week ago, the machine began to shake like an earthquake during its final spin cycle. I still have time left under the extended warranty, so I called Samsung Protection. After an hour of trying to get to the right person, I was told they had no available service appointments for the next month. My option was to schedule my own appointment, pay for it myself, and to get reimbursed. My service provider came yesterday, and I found out that the 4 spring rods that support the tub weren't strong enough and that new rods had been designed. Samsung has not labeled this as another design issue, but as an upgrade thereby avoiding any responsibility. I think Samsung is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. I will NEVER purchase any of their products again except for the possibility of a television.

In September or 2013 the pump assembly on the bottom of the machine tore loose while the machine was in wash cycle pouring water over much of the wood and laminate flooring in 3 rooms. This caused over $15,000 in damage which was covered by our Homeowners insurance. The pump was replaced under the warranty. Flash forward to September 2015. The machine would not drain at all, so again we called Lowe's for warranty service. The repair person determined that the pump assembly installed 2 years ago had failed and replaced it with a new assembly which supposedly was an improved design. Fortunately, this time we caught it before it broke. Then yesterday the new pump failed during a wash cycle once again pouring water over the same 3 rooms of wood flooring.
Once again we will have to replace the wood flooring and be inconvenienced while the house is torn up during the holidays. Servpro, the water damage restoration people are here today and we're waiting our ins company claim guy. So I called Lowe's, talked to a supervisor in the warranty department and told her that they needed to take this piece of trash back refunding what we paid for it. After listening to the story, the supervisor agreed that Lowe's would take the machine pack and give us a merchandise card for the full amount of our purchase plus taxes. Another hour plus on hold and schedulers that are "in a meeting with supervisor", and neither can be bothered by customers. Wrote president, he could care less, can't be bothered by consumers! DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG ANYTHING! Repairman was surprised dryer lasted 4 years without repair!

I have Samsung model WA400 for two years. The spin cycle makes a loud noise, if I left it running longer, it may have blown up into pieces. This is a safety issue that Samsung should take care of, why wait until somebody gets hurt? Anyways, I called the service and made this complaint and got the run around, sympathy, etc., and end it up with having to call their service to fix it at the tune of $60 to come up to tell me what's wrong + $90 for labor + parts. This looks like a design problem that Samsung (based on the website large number of complaints I found). This washer should be recalled to fix their problem. I had Whirlpool that lasted 12 years and never had a problem. Samsung cost me about $400 per year and use it only once a week.

Never buy Samsung WF series cloth washers because they do not have provision of drain strainer or drain cleaning option. Means it keeps always plenty of water below drum and bacterial grown cause mold in the washer, also your laundry room will catch that moisture will create mold in laundry room. Every time drain pump do not work you have to drain all water manually through drain pipe then only the washer door can open. Never buy Samsung products who do not know basic technical issues. There is no access to outside of drum to remove any metal parts or coins or any major dirt went in. All my dirt has been collected between drum and casing. After accumulation of dirt up to certain level, it will rise, it start to drain and start to drain through drain pump and drain pump start to jam. Even new pump is installed in my washer, do not work.

I purchased this washing machine Aug 29th, 2015. It stopped working on 10/17. I contacted Samsung the same day and did not received a response as of 10/20 so I called numerous times and finally they claimed someone would call to schedule the repair appt. Later that day I received a call saying someone would call me within 2 business days to schedule the service, meaning it takes 4+ days just to get an appt, not to mention I purchased the "Premium Service Plan". I will never purchase a Samsung product again!

My washing machine is less than 4 months old and has been repaired 3 times. I have been in contact with Samsung for over a month and a half now asking for a new unit and they insist on repairing it. Finally after a month and a half they agreed for an exchange from Lowe's. Said it would take 3-5 business days to go through. That was 8 business days ago and Lowe's still has no approval. Samsung is the worst product anyone can purchase! I would rather shoot myself in the foot than deal with another one of their "management staff" or products. They are horrible at everything.

I purchased the Samsung 13kg washing machine WA10J8700GP/WA10J8700GW. This is actually a 10kg washing machine that can wash 13kg on a selected cycle however, that cycle is not in the manual, on the website and customer service don't know what settings I need either. The 2 "magic filters" broke in less than 2 months. Samsung customer service failed to call back 7 times. Then told me my issues weren't valid. Despite 7 phone calls, (more than 4 hours total) sending me back to the retailer (2 hour round trip), Samsung won't replace the filters. Instead they're sending me to a service centre (45mins from my house) to buy 2 new filters. Absolutely disgusted with Samsung customer service and product. Will NEVER buy Samsung again. Oh, and all of this is because they recalled my last machine after it burned down houses...

Our Samsung washing machine has been a nightmare. Worked okay for the first year. But that doesn't mean it got the clothes as clean as it should of. But the biggest problem is the cycle will never end. When it gets down to 9 minutes it either dings for me to redistribute the load or it goes back to 17 minutes and refills with water. Even if I redistribute the load it still fills with water. No matter how many times, it will not spin. I have had 3 repairmen out and they don't know how to fix the problem. They call the Samsung Tech Support and even they can't fix it! Clothes must be wrung out by hand. And this is going to make the dryer go out from over load. Samsung customer service is a joke. They are a drain on the economy and the customers who use them! I paid $1928.22 in November of 2011 at Sears for these Samsung products. I should be getting more usage from them! Bottom line: don't buy Samsung products!

My husband and I purchased the Samsung front load washer and dryer top of the line for $2000.00+. Eight months later I started noticing a lot of my delicates started coming out with snags, loose threads from the snags, and pulls. I called HH Greggs where we purchased because I could have sworn that we bought the five year extended warranty. Guess what? They have no records since I can't find my paperwork.
I then called Samsung. At first I was scheduled for a service call on the dryer and told it was still under warranty. When I got a second call to confirm the appointment, I asked if both machines could be checked since I really didn't know which one was destroying my clothes. I was told that the warranty on the washer was expired! How? I asked being both were purchased on the same day and delivered on the same day? No one could answer me.
Now I'm stuck with $2000.00 worth of junk. The second hand ones that I replaced with these cost me $300.00 for the two and lasted over 10 years. I wished I had read the reviews about Samsung before I listened to the sales guy and fell for the pitch hook, line, and sinker. I say "RUN" if you are taken to a Samsung product!!!

We bought our large capacity top load Samsung washer (WA400PJHWR/AA02) last Oct, 2014. After taking my clothes out a few times I noticed what I thought looked like tissue residue on several items. I figured I left a tissue in a pocket and rewashed the clothes. It didn't come out so I used a sticky roller to try to get the white stuff off. Didn't work, washed the clothes again, AND AGAIN. Still didn't come off. Contacted Lowe's (where we purchased it) and they said they'd send out a tech. The guy asked a bunch of questions and told us that the tub only fills up about 3-5 inches and if you do a large load, the top clothes don't get down into the water, thereby leaving detergent on the top items.
''Why buy a LARGE CAPACITY washer if it isn't capable of doing LARGE LOADS?" This answer was not acceptable to us, so we contacted Samsung directly and sent them pictures of our damaged clothes. They said they'd send out their technician. When the guy came he said we were using too much detergent (I never even use the recommended amount as that's a ploy to use more than necessary so you use it up faster). He said just a tablespoon is sufficient for a normal size load. I did that and still continue to get residue on my clothes. After four techs have been here checking my machine the problem still continues.
Samsung called the other night at 7PM to see if I had satisfaction with my repair. "WHAT REPAIR??" No one did anything to fix the problem. Lowe's says the washer doesn't rinse the detergent out of the clothes and that's why I'm getting this residue. I've submitted pictures and an estimate of the ruined items but have yet to receive any reimbursement (we're only talking about $160.). If I had read these reviews before purchasing my washing machine I would never have bought a Samsung. My 15-year-old basic Kenmore washer was doing a better job. Should have stuck with it!

We purchased the Samsung top load washer (WA45H7200AP) because we thought it would be a good idea to get a high efficiency unit. Biggest mistake ever. We had a Kenmore heavy duty for 20 years and never had a problem. The issues with the Samsung are many: You cannot put anywhere near the size of load that the Kenmore would handle due to the fact that it only puts in a little bit of water so they just don't mix. The clothes on top will just sit there and never get washed and the same on the rinse cycle, they won't rinse well. So smaller loads, less efficient. When it gets to the spin cycle, it shakes itself to pieces and goes into an unbalanced error. The way it tries to fix this is by filling with water to try and redistribute the clothes. Again, a waste of water and electricity. So bottom line, do not waste your money on this product.

We purchased this washer, model wa400pjhdwr/aa and it worked fine for a year. About the 14th month it stopped spinning. I called customer service and they had me reset the machine. It worked for about 2 washes. I called customer service again and since the 1 year warranty expired they would charge me just to come look at it. We are going to trash this washer. After reading the reviews it would be cost effective to buy an old school washer.
