Will never buy another Samsung refrigerator due to the ice maker issue, freezing up, quits working, even after ice maker replacement and a new seal-gasket that was installed. Called corp, sorry it's out of warranty, they make poor ice makers.

This may be showing my age but I remember when Samsung products were a good choice, as an electrical engineer I’m fortunate being able to do my own repairs. That being said having to come up with fixes for poor defrosting (copper HE’s into the drain holes) and non stop repairs leads me to the conclusion that these things are as cut rate as the Samsung tv I was very disappointed in. Looks like planned obsolescence is the replacement for customer satisfaction.

Customer service. I purchased a Samsung Family Hub 4-door refrigerator from in late 2023 for approximately $3,000, and by April 2026, it completely stopped working. A refrigerator at this price point should last far longer than just a few years. To make matters worse, trying to get help has been a nightmare. Every time I contact Samsung, I receive different information from different representatives. There is no consistency, no accountability, and no real support. For such a large company, the customer service experience is unacceptable.

I have Samsung 3- door refrigerator. The vegetable drawers have this overlap at the front of the drawer and the food gets trapped in between. I could not figure out how to separate the two pieces so I called customer service. They had me push on a tab with a flat screwdriver to push and had to use a towel to avoid scratching. It was so difficult and took me a while to detach the front part. Got it open but 3 pieces of plastic came out flying and now the part is loose. I asked the lady if they would replace the drawer if it breaks while attempting this difficult task and she said since the warranty had expired I had to purchase the drawer. I am so disappointed and frustrated. It does not make sense that that I have to use tools to do routine fridge cleanup and make unavoidable scratches to the drawers. Such poor design and no empathy whatsoever from customer service.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (model RF28HFEDBSG/AA) along with a stove and dishwasher, and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. The refrigerator’s ice maker stopped working and repeatedly freezes over—a known issue with this model. Samsung previously sent a technician who “sealed” the ice maker box, but the problem returned. When I contacted Samsung again, they refused to send another technician and instead offered only $300 toward purchasing a new refrigerator. While the customer service representative I spoke with was polite, the supervisor refused to speak with me and pushed toward replacing the unit rather than fixing a known defect.
This issue has been widely reported, and there have even been legal actions related to defective ice makers in these refrigerators. It’s frustrating that Samsung will not stand behind their product with a proper repair. To make matters worse, my Samsung stove and dishwasher have also had significant issues over time. Based on my experience, these appliances may work fine initially, but reliability becomes a serious concern after the first year. I would strongly recommend considering other brands if you are looking for long-term reliability.

This is not my first issue with Samsung. I previously purchased a Samsung dryer that broke down in less than a year. At this point, it is clear to me that there is a pattern of poor product reliability. These appliances are expensive, but the quality does not match the price. Now I am left without a working refrigerator and forced to consider buying a replacement much sooner than expected. I will not be purchasing Samsung products again. I strongly recommend others consider more reliable brands like or other alternatives. Based on my experience, Samsung appliances are not worth the investment.

There's a known design flaw with the ice cube tray, it cracks and then Leaks. Unfortunately this occurred when I was away for the weekend and I returned home to a puddle and a ruined floor because water had seeped between my laminate floor boards. Insult to injury you can not buy the Ice Tray separately. You are forced to spend hundreds of dollars to replace the whole unit and pay someone to install it with absolutely no guarantee it won't CRACK AGAIN. I am furious, disappointed and frustrated. Reading reviews, Consumer Reports, etc. there have been several lawsuits over the past few years involving this very issue with the Samsung refrigerators. Interestingly I was replacing a 40 year old refrigerator that worked fine because I just had to have an Ice maker. BIG MISTAKE.

The display/control panel is impossible to read. Apparently a lighted symbol means that ice is OFF & no light means that ice is ON! That's ridiculous. If one of three symbols is invisible how do you know which one is ON for sure? Even the lighted symbols are so dim you can't read the symbol (it might indicate which ice is on/off if you could read it). We've had to replace the upper ice-maker and a broken door shelf in the past.

The ice maker on this model is the absolute worst. It will freeze over in less than a week's time and if you don’t constantly chip the build up away it just stops working. This is a major design flaw and makes the refrigerator just about worthless.

We puchased a french door Samsung refrigerator in 2021. It wasn't our first choice but fridges were hard to find during covid shutdown as everyone was remodeling. It seemed ok until one evening we found the ice completely melted and food thawed! We looked up our purchase info and found that the warranty was about to expire in May. We contacted Best Buy about the warranty and issues. A tech was out the next day; thought the issue was a compressor. He had to have the third party tech come out since the warranty was stated as such. The third party (Sears) tech came out a few days later and said it was not the compressor but another part. He ordered the part, returned the next week and the part wasn't the problem. It was another part. He tried to order the part and learned the part number had changed. He needed to contact the parts department to find out how to proceed.
We learned the following week (now 4 weeks later!) that the part is no longer produced and the fridge is trash. We had to contact Best Buy and they returned our purchase price to our Best Buy account. We chose another fridge (Samsung side by side) and found it dented upon delivery. The next week they were to deliver a new fridge and we all agreed they could just replace the door since it was the only damaged area. All good until.....two days later we woke up to find a puddle of water under the fridge. We had to phone Samsung and they did a facetime call to have us diagnose the issue....REALLY?! No other choice apparently. Spent the next 45 minutes turning on and off the water supply and taking the water filter out, in, out, turning water on and off.
It was finally decided that the water filter was an issue and needed to be replaced. And, it was our expense on a fridge that we had for 10 days! Samsung REFUSED to replace the water filter. Best Buy is willing to replace the entire fridge for us. Thank you Best Buy! Go to He___ Samsung!!!! We decided to order a Samsung water filter and see what happens. We may still have this hauled away.....waiting to see what happens in a few days. Not happy with Samsung!!!!

I have owned multiple Samsung appliances, washer, dryer, TVs, and most recently, a refrigerator. Live and learn. The washer was repaired, due to Samsung's recall, by a satellite TV company! Ended up throwing it away. Managed to give the dryer away even though it needed repaired. The TVs, both got thrown away after 3 years of use. Was told the processors were junk. Now the fridge. Since day 1, the icemaker never worked properly. When I called about it, Samsung told me the entire fridge had already been replaced! News to me! It had not! It was simply repaired once, but somehow, that's not what they recorded. So, watch my trash for another junk appliance with the Samsung name on it! Never again! At this point, I wouldn't buy anything made by Samsung ever again. Buyer beware. Once is bad luck. 5 things in a row, with the same outcome,,,? You decide.

My refrigerator is just slightly over 1 year old and I was replacing the water filter for the 2nd time when it started spraying water all over my kitchen and into the deli drawer. I called Samsung and told them and they said to turn the water off behind the fridge which I did. Then I cleaned up the water and promptly called my serviceman I have used for years to come out and take a look. He told me that the water filter housing was bad. So I researched online and fond out I am not the only one who had this problem.
Weeks later it is still slowly leaking in my deli drawer. I called Samsung this morning to complaining and they told me my only choice was to replace the housing (which is out of stock everywhere -- guess why!!!) and it will cost $500+ for just the part. That doesn't include labor to install it. With so many people having problems with the ice makers and water filters Samsung needs to do a recall and replace the part for free!!! I will not buy another Samsung product ever again.

Worst refrigerator I’ve ever owned (I’m over 70 years old). Bought Samsung on its reputation for electronics. They sure don’t know how to make quality appliances. After 2 years needed repair on refrigerator area for making horrible noises. Seems they put sensors right where the water collects. Several hundred dollar repair. Then ice maker started freezing up and not producing cubes or cubes were slushy when it did produce. Called Samsung for repair technician and they made me go through some steps that they ASSURED me would work. It didn’t. Called back for repair technician and CS rep told me the same thing. Would NOT send repair technician. No reputable repair company will work on Samsung and apparently Samsung won’t either. Just replaced the Samsung piece of shit with a Frigidaire. So happy with new fridge. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE!!!!

Warning, do not purchase Samsung refrigerators. Model RF22R7351SR/AA. I would give zero stars if it were an option. Service Quick is a horrible company. My ice maker stopped working and Samsung agreed to exchange the ice maker. After the ice maker was changed we woke up to a totally defrosted freezer and refrigerator. Service Quick returned and said the unit was not repairable. The refrigerator is only 6 years old and just out of warranty. Samsung stated they can do nothing to compensate me for the loss of this refrigerator even after the issues only began after they installed a new ice maker. Customer service was horrendous. I had to replace an entire shelf because a small plastic piece that attached this shelf to another shelf and you can’t just replace the plastic piece. I had to replace the door flapper. Total charges for all repairs were about $2000. I should have purchased a new refrigerator before now. The ice maker still does not work correctly. I finally went ahead and bought a GE refrigerator. These refrigerators with ice makers are absolutely terrible. I paid almost $3,000 for this Samsung fridge, and it has been one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made. The quality is unbelievably poor. Almost every plastic part inside the fridge has cracked and broken into pieces, and the ice maker has already been replaced three times. Three times. And guess what? The same problem keeps happening.
When I called customer service again, they told me I would have to pay for another repair because they don’t guarantee their replacement parts. Think about that — they replace a defective part and then refuse to stand behind it when it fails again. Even the technician who came to fix the ice maker told me this problem is “normal” with Samsung refrigerators. If that’s normal, then Samsung clearly has a serious quality problem. Save yourself the money, stress, and frustration. Stay far away from Samsung refrigerators. Cheap materials, constant problems, and terrible customer service.

We bought a counter-depth French door refrigerator in 2022. It is not truly counter depth as the thickness of the doors makes it nearly standard depth. Opening, both stores completely is impossible.Because the doors bump into the counters. The icemaker is terrible, giving you air filled ice, which melts almost immediately in any beverage. In addition, the ice maker continually froze over forcing me to use a blow dryer or heat gun on a low setting in order to remove the ice bin to get some ice cubes. Samsung customer service told me to completely shut off the fridge and let everything defrost, which is not an option. If that's the only refrigerator you have in the house. And it's summertime, and nowhere else to put perishables. Ridiculous.
After calling them and texting with them no less than ten times I wrote a scathing review. And they finally sent someone to replace the ice maker. The icemaker worked fine until just recently, but the freezer kept frosting over causing food to go slightly soft. I made sure none of the vents were blocked. But it just kept happening. Now the icemaker is frosting over again. And it is again nearly impossible to get ice cubes because they just jam up inside the ice bin. Even though the refrigerator section works fine, and I love all the space, I'm getting rid of this piece of garbage because I've had it with Samsung products. It's hard enough finding a counter depth refrigerator but if I have to pay $5000 to replace it with a refrigerator that works, I will gladly do so.

Repairman said fan quit working which caused the refrigerator to freeze. After thawing refrigerator out there was a water leak which was caused by refrigerator freezing up. Technician forgot to turn water off knowing there was a leak and flooded our house. Samsung refused to help stating that we used a approved aftermarket water filter. Don't buy Samsung products, cheap quality, high price. I bought a Samsung Refrigerator in September 2024 for $950.00 from Best Buy's website because I wanted to replace my white Kenmore Refrigerator with a Stainless Steel refrigerator. On January 2026, the top freezer and bottom refrigerator completely stopped cooling costing me hundreds in loss of food and major inconvenience, the refrigerator was down for a week. Luckily, I still had my white Kenmore Refrigerator in the garage and was able to still have a refrigerator I could use but had to go up and down stairs for every item I needed. I called Samsung customer service and they sent a Technician out which took a couple days and the technician said that the Inverter Board and Inverter compressor had gone bad.
I was charged $140 for the diagnosis and another $150 to replace the damaged parts. I requested that Samsung cover the costs since this was clearly manufacturer defects and poor quality if after only 2 years the Refrigerator already stopped working? Ridiculous. I requested 2 times that a Samsung manager call me to refund me the cost for the repair and no one ever called me. I will never buy Samsung products again. I have always bought Kenmore Refrigerators and never had a problem with their quality, in fact the Kenmore still works great after 10 years!

Ours quit working within a year and has never worked again no matter what I have tried.
