I have been sitting here on hold for about 40 minutes waiting to speak to a manager to find where my refrigerator is. Samsung has delivered two - and both were damaged. They tried to delivered a third which was supposed to be here two days ago. At this point, no one at Samsung knows where that delivery is; when it will be here; or even acts like they know what's going on. This has been going on for three weeks and I still do not have a fridge. This customer service is the worst - second only to Vivint Security. I am going to get my money back and I will never buy another Samsung product again for the rest of my life.

Samsung refrigerator motherboard dies... My 7 year old Samsung refrigerator died leaving a full freezer and refrigerator of spoiled food. Everything had to be thrown out and I had to get a repairman in. I was told the motherboard died. Samsung did NOTHING! Who ever heard of a high end refrigerator motherboard dying?! Beware of buying Samsung. Poor customer service as well. I will now be 6 days without a refrigerator since parts are not available locally... Seriously?!! In Washington DC? I will never buy a Samsung product again.

First off, I would like to say I never take the time to write out a review regarding a item. This just shows how unsatisfied I am with my purchase. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone. Do not buy any SAMSUNG product. The customer service reps do not offer any customer service. They do not know how to treat customers even after the crap their company has released in the recent years. Let's not forget about the blowing up of the cell phones and laundry machines.

My complaint is about their refrigerators and how I have spent over $600 trying to fix the ice dispenser. The ice dispenser freezes up and does not slide out. It seems like the fridge is leaking water and causing the entire tray to freeze. The ice cubes are not in proper ice cube form. The ice cubes look like slushy. I complained to the customer service rep and their answer regarding my complaint was "Sorry your item has passed the 1 year warranty for parts." I told the rep there are over 2000 complaints about this ice dispenser on the internet. I previously owned a GE profile refrigerator for over 17 years and never had one issue with it! The customer rep told me they do not go by the complaints on the internet for their products. I asked if they had any other solution and the rep told me once again "Sorry the product has passed the one year warranty for the replacement items."

If the company cannot offer a solution for their defective products, I will not ever in my life purchase a Samsung product. I will make sure I make this clear to all of my family members and friends. I have had this refrigerator for only a little over 2 years. Samsung teach your service reps how to resolve issues and test your products before releasing them. You shouldn't be telling your customers to fix a problem and have them pay $300 to get it fixed. Even your crappy service reps don't have a solution for your defective products. I am a very unsatisfied customer. I will have to go buy a new refrigerator since this issue is not being resolved.

I bought this Samsung Refrigerator RF28HFEDBSR/aa in Nov 2014. The freezer door handle insert failed in Dec 2016. I have spent 2 months working with a repair tech, Samsung parts, and Samsung (Lack of) Customer. This small approximately $10 part has been discontinued. The only option is to spend $389 for a new freezer door and $125 to install it. My service tech (5 star rated) reported he spoke to the Samsung techs and determined Samsung has known about this problem for several years. It appears sells products with known defects, but does not want to support the customers. He also reported there are other Samsung parts which have been discontinued for relatively new units. The scroll compressor has a 10 year warranty. What good is that warranty if the rest of the refrigerator falls apart? By the way, the local authorized Samsung service company received an F rating from the BBB.

My husband and I purchased a suite of Samsung appliances in 2012 for our new home. Shortly after the refrigerator was installed and in use, we discovered a leaking problem in the right crisper drawer. We contacted Samsung who in turn sent a repairman to service the fridge and the problem seemed to be fixed until almost a year later. We have had three (3) separate repairmen come, all arranged by Samsung to assess the same leaking issue. The last repairman to come to our home to assess the problem, took pictures and sent onto Samsung.

Samsung contacted us and said the fridge was defective and irreparable. Samsung offered us a depreciated refund of $266.30 and with this; we would have to completely empty the fridge for Samsung to pick up. The fridge cost $1,299 + taxes in 2012 and what was being offered was nowhere close to the cost of a new fridge. Letters and emails were exchanged and Samsung changed their offer to $500 but we would still need to prepare the fridge for Samsung to pick up.

We did not accept their offer as we would be without a fridge and the cost of a new fridge was a lot more than what was being offered. Samsung said that was their final offer which is unacceptable. They have admitted the fridge is defective and all we want is a replacement of a similar fridge. Nothing more and nothing less. When purchasing any new appliances or products; they will not be from Samsung. This company does not stand behind their products and their customer service is very lacking.

I purchased the fridge (RF32FMQDBSR/AA) 3 years ago through South East Steel (SES). Immediately it was evident the ice maker was defective. Problems included no full size ice cubes, leaking constantly and requiring manual defrost and reset whenever door was left open more than a few seconds, for example if loading a large grocery order. It took quite a while for SES to respond to my concern. The repairman Samsung sent, while under warranty, pierced the mechanism with an ice pick, left in anger, and it took months to receive a replacement part and installation. Problem unsolved. I then went back through SES who took so long to get a repair request to Samsung, the warranty expired.

Samsung did make the concession of sending out a repairman who said this model was known for its leaky ice maker, there was nothing he could do and to call the company periodically as it should soon be covered by a recall. I called every 4-6 months for over a year and a half to be told each time Samsung was aware of the problem and there was no remedy. Finally, the ice maker stopped working all together. I then called Sears Repair. The workman told me that this model was being replaced for any Sears customer with a long-term contract because Samsung was so unresponsive regarding the ice maker defects. He told me class action suits were pending. He did order a new motor. The second Sears technician who showed up to replace the $392 part told me it was a upgraded part for the ice maker. All problems resolved!

So if Samsung knew about the problem and upgraded its ice maker motor, why wasn't it covered as part of a recall. And why, in all the calls and queries I made was I not told that upgraded replacement parts were available. And finally since this part solved the problem reported while under warranty, why isn't at least the cost of the part covered? Total repair was $600. I am asking for cost of the part. So far it has fallen on deaf ears at 1-800 SAMSUNG I am awaiting a supervisor's supervisor call back. Wish me luck. Otherwise the fridge seems well designed and working well.

We bought our french door/bottom freezer refrigerator model # RF20HFENBC in January of 2016. Just after the year warranty, we noticed our produce bins filling with water and the back wall was freezing too. We called Samsung, were told to "level the fridge and that would take care of the problem". Well, it was already level, but, hubby releveled it. Within 10 days, the bins were still filling with water! We have read enough online to know that this refrigerator design is a lemon and a defect, so when we called Samsung, they tried to tell us that our warranty was expired, so we would have to pay the $129 service call fee! No way! We told them about the numerous complaints online, and how it's the same exact reason, so they need to repair this.

They set us up with a local repair shop called Unique Repair, along with a "ticket" for the service call, and said they would make sure to cover the cost of the service call... We had to wait 2 days to then set up the appt for the service call... When we called Unique Repair, they had NO confirmation of Samsung paying the service call fee! Since this first phone call, we have called Samsung 4 more times. Each time, it's all a new introduction. Have to explain the problem, they deny saying they would cover the service call fee. We ask for a Supervisor to get on the phone, and then, are put on hold, and the customer rep comes back and says they will once again, cover the service call expense...

Along with this aggravation from Samsung, their one and only repair shop, Unique Repair in the Chicagoland area, is just as bad, if not worse as far as customer service. They never answer their phones, so we are playing phone tag with them for the past 3 weeks too... They also canceled the first "ticket" without even telling us, while we're waiting to hear from them. When we called about this, they tried to blame us, saying they canceled it because they could not reach us to set up the appointment!

We are now waiting for yet, a THIRD ticket to be issued, and have demanded another repair place, we will not work with Unique Repair. Last night, a Rep finally said they will call us in 2 days with another repair company, after arguing with the guy for about 20 minutes, and explaining just how bad this repair place is, and that there are a bunch of negative reviews for them online too. Today, we get a call from Unique Repair asking about the new, current ticket!!!

Another call was made tonight because of this nonsense, and we were told to expect a call in 1-2 days from Samsung with a different repair place. We do not believe them, and now, are contacting ABT, who sold us this piece of garbage!

In our research, we found there are at least 2100 complaints on this design of refrigerators, since 2011. Another post said Samsung was going to recall these models as of last month (January 2017). When we asked Samsung directly about this, they said if the service person finds a part that is in a recall, we will be advised... We believe they string customers along, and lie, and do not follow through on anything they say. They do not seem to care about consumer satisfaction and about substandard refrigerator designs either.

Before buying this last January, we researched online and this brand was listed as a good brands... We are so disappointed and aggravated, and will never buy a Samsung product again. We would like to know if there is a class action lawsuit against them and these refrigerators too. We have not been able to use the produce bins, so our family of five has a cramped fridge, and it's just not right.

For anyone dealing with these issues, you can't be nice, or they will string you along. You need to be very stern and vent your anger and demand repairs or speak to their supervisor. **Also, make sure you keep a log of dates and times you call them, who you spoke to... VERY important if there is a class action lawsuit, etc!!! Post your problems on their facebook page too, but, I believe they have removed every complaint about their refrigerators, because I do not see ONE, only on their electronics. We know there are 2100 on this page alone... I have summarized what I could here. There are more irritating details I did not share because we have a long list of our dates, notes, people's names we have spoken to.

    Deterioration by design.

And so I called the Samsung folks

I purchase a Samsung 4 door refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA around October/November 2013. Since then the icemaker has never worked properly even after I called a technician to come fix it and constantly defrosting the icemaker because ice built up inside and it would not work at all. NOW the refrigerator will not cool down... stays around 53 degrees and that is too warm to keep milk and other luncheon meat fresh up to expire date. The worst thing is I have not had it even 4 years yet. Looking at some of the other reviews, I now see that it was a mistake to buy SAMSUNG appliances... I have a Samsung top load washing machine also and see there was a recall on some models. Anyways if it is too costly to have this Fridge fix I will cut my losses and just buy another refrigerator. I strongly feel that SAMSUNG should take responsibility and recall this model. Since that is not likely I will never buy NOTHING Samsung again.

Samsung 4-door fridge's ice maker is junk. $2,000 Samsung fridge breaks after 2-1/2 years! I had a Maytag for 22 years and it never was serviced and was still running fine when I retired it for "peace of mind." Enter Samsung - so much for peace of mind. Ice maker began leaking before a year was up. Kept removing ice buildup. But at 2-1/2 years, the ice maker quit working. Motor was bad. Water sprayed around tray from supply hose encased in ice. Locked ice tray in place, so couldn't remove. Stopped producing ice. Service rep was good (no complaint), but cost quoted at $300 for service call and new motor. Water supply hose issue can't be resolved. Obviously, lots of ice maker issues posted here. Shame on Samsung. Can't make ice; can't make phones.

I purchased my Samsung Model RF263TEAESRAA Refrigerator on 6/05/2014 from Factory Direct Appliance in Lawrence Kansas. I have had Factory Direct Appliance repairman to my house numerous times over ice maker issues. This began just before the original year warranty was up. It quits making ice in the top ice maker, and when you try to pull it out, there are big frozen globs of ice jamming it up. My last repair was on 12/23/16 and I've called today (2/7/17) for another appointment. I noticed less and less ice coming from the top ice maker until there was no ice, and of course, when I pull out the ice drawer there is a big blob of ice, AGAIN!

Each time the repairman talks with Samsung, who agrees there is are issues with air and temperature etc. They've used some kind of adhesive to try and block air gaps, they've replaced the ice maker twice due to my fear it was ruined, struggling to make and dump ice when it can no longer do so. Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty. When that's gone, I probably should just haul it to the dump.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE SAMSUNG. Read all the reviews online before purchasing this refrigerator; google it, but don't read the Samsung website which gives this model a 4.3-star rating (I don't know how they possibly come up with that unless they delete all the negative reviews). Or, read it and laugh, or cry. :( I could provide a receipt but it's at home and I am not. I do think there should be some sort of class action lawsuit to provide some remedy to all of us who purchased Samsung appliances in good faith believing they were a quality brand.

He replaced the fan, sealed the ice maker from the fridge, now has replaced the whole ice maker compartment. Next step would be computer controls. The biggest problem is that once the ice tray is filled it grinds up half of the ice cubes. I said it's the auger design... I have 3 other Samsung units, washer, dryer and dishwasher no problems. What they told me to do did not fix it. So we called and finally got them to send a service person out. He did not put a new ice maker. He just caulked around the ice bin. Within a day it was jamming again. We called to have a service person come back and fix it. When he came he put a whole new ice maker in. No help! It is still jamming and now it is gathering ice in the chute inside the door and then when the door opens ice flies everywhere.

Putting in another ice maker is not going to solve the problems we are having because the blades have too much slack in them and they go behind another blade and they hang up. We called and told them we wanted them to come and get the refrigerator and of course they refused to. The company should not be allowed to sell this kind of junk and then make people keep it. Samsung refrigerator problems -- I purchased a Samsung 3-door, bottom freezer refrigerator in November 2014. Five months after 12 month warranty expired the ice maker stopped working. With no warranty I decided to do some online research and discovered multiple complaints about Samsung ice makers freezing up due to condensation buildup in the ice maker compartment. I tried the "thawing with a hair dryer suggestion" and it worked. After a few weeks the problem returned. Hair dryer worked again. After 4 or 5 episodes the ice maker completely quit working. I started making do with ice trays in the freezer.

In November 2016 the refrigerator compartment started freezing up. I unplugged it for several hours and it worked for a couple of weeks but then started freezing up. Turning unit off periodically no longer worked. I finally called a repair tech two weeks ago and after inspection he determined I needed a computer board or a sensor. He suggested doing both in addition to sealing around the ice maker compartment to prevent warmer refrigerator air from getting inside causing the condensation buildup and freezing. This also explained why ice, from day one, was always wet and partially thawed at times. The tech was to return after receiving the parts but has since decided he doesn't want to work on Samsung refrigerators.

We purchased a package deal on 4 Samsung appliances in the summer of 2016. It was suggested that to update our kitchen for potentially selling it that new appliances are a must. The units that we purchased from HHGregg are VERY disappointing. The dishwasher DW80J3020US is very quiet, which is nice, but since there is no latch to lock the door, occasionally we open it mid-cycle forgetting it is on. There is no way to continue the cycle; it has to start completely over. We contacted customer service asking about this and they confirmed this. That is poor design. For the microwave model ME16H702SEB, you can't cook something and use the timer at the same time. It may seem like a small thing, but it is very inconvenient. Again, poor design. We are extremely disappointed in the quality of these units and the lack of attention to detail. They are cheaply designed. Stay away from them.

We have a Samsung French door with bottom freezer refrigerator manufactured in RF263TEAESR. It looks great, nice features, problem is, it was designed without a refrigerant valve to shift cooling between chilled regions, which would allow one side to defrost while the other cools. The lines become blocked with ice, the cooling coils freeze over, cooling becomes more difficult, and the ice builds up to the point where the circulation fan bangs the ice, making a serious noise. We have had the "kit" put on which is the "fix" from Samsung. It is designed to shut you up for a couple months and pick up a nice check for their "factory authorized" dealers. The kit does nothing.

The second repair tech came and, for two hours and another $100, tore out the interior back wall, thawed out the lines with hot water, the coils with a heat gun and the vents on the back wall with warm water. He told me it would last no more than a couple months as the insulation gets saturated with water and, rather quickly, everything will refreeze. He was optimistic. Within two weeks it has once again frozen. The fan noise is beginning again and, because Samsung refuses to stand behind their products, this piece of garbage may shortly become the worlds largest paperweight. My advice, STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG products. They have made it obvious standing behind their products is not a priority.

We replaced all of our kitchen appliances (Refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range, microwave) with Samsung appliances in Dec 2016. We reviewed the CR book and thought we picked a good one. Should have looked on here first. The ice maker froze up on Christmas Eve and then again in mid-January. We bought the 28 cu ft french door with bottom freezer. The ice maker is inside the refrigerator. The water leaks down behind the ice bucket and freezes around the mechanisms. It won't dispense ice and makes a loud knocking noise. The ice bucket is also nearly impossible to get out when this happens.

We called Samsung for support and all 3 (yes 3) calls were handled horribly. They don't support their products or have a care in the world about providing customer service. The only way to resolve the issue... remove everything from the freezer and refrigerator and defrost it. This appears to be an ongoing issue and I am not looking forward to owning this refrigerator for the years I expected to. I understand appliances sometimes have issues and my 1-star rating of the appliance is largely geared towards the awful customer service provided by Samsung. This is an expensive item that I ensured had a warranty when I purchased it. I expect it to work and if it doesn't work properly and is under warranty I expect it to be repaired. Buyer beware.

I'm very disappointed with the product and upset at the lack of customer service and support. I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot (22.5 cu ft food showcase french door, in stainless model # RF23HTEDBSR) and 110 days after purchase the unit failed. The first call to Samsung Service resulted in a technician coming out 5 days later and within minutes it was determined that the compressor and evaporator coil had failed. After 12 weeks, they failed. He was unable to repair and told me parts would be in next week.

I found this unacceptable, that a nearly $3,000 unit would fail after 12 weeks and I would be without use of refrigeration for several weeks while waiting for repair. I had food that spoiled but more importantly for me and my family, had no use of fridge or freezer for weeks. I called Samsung service again to ask if something could be done and was told the system was down and could they call me back. I have yet to receive that callback. The transaction number is **. The unit was a lemon, I deserve a new unit or my funds returned. The inconvenience of this episode continues to rob me of time and has insured I will do my best to avoid Samsung products in the future. Now for the big issue, this is a dual zone model meaning it has two compressors one for each zone, well the top zone compressor went out. Service man came, ran diagnostics. Sure enough compressor quit. Samsung now says this is a non repairable item. So at this point the fridge is junk. Samsung says they will buy it back but have been dragging their feet on how much they will give me or when this will happen since November 16. We were told it takes three to five days to process it. So we were now into January. We have a family of 6 without a refrigerator throughout the holidays.

I followed up after three days, of course I was reminded it's three to FIVE days. So at day five I call. I'm told they input the model number in wrong which caused the refund to reject. They would be happy to re-input the refund with the correct model #. It would take ANOTHER 3-5 days. That was January 11. Here it is January 18. We are still getting the run around from countless "supervisors" telling us we should have it by the end of the day (we've been told that the past three days). January 2014, 3 months after purchase date, the ice machine broke and needed replaced. July 2014, the magnetic strip broke on the French doors and that had to be replaced. August 2015 the refrigerator temperature kept rising, ice formed on the back wall inside and the fan motor was loud. A new drain kit was installed also an evaporator assembly and an evaporator panel with motor. It's January 2017- I have been experiencing the exact problems that happened August 2015, my refrigerator is almost 60 degrees, the fan stopped making that awful sound, maybe it burned up.

I call Samsung and they give you the run around, refrigerator is out of warranty, they are not responsible. I am still fighting with them to fix this SAME issue I had before, they don't warranty their own parts? Are Samsung refrigerators disposable after 2 years? My old GE refrigerator side by side is still running great after 18 years. I have never had to have it serviced one time. The repair service is coming today. If Samsung does not cover this I am calling the news, Better Business Bureau and a lawyer. Samsung should backup their products. Samsung has enough bad publicity now, I hope to spread more. Then 1.5 yr later, it completely stopped working. I believe the design is flawed as the ice maker sits in the refrigerator section and not the freezer area. Unfortunately every 2 to three weeks, the ice maker freezes up and does not allow ice to be produced. To free it up is an involved process, and annoying also. A hair dryer is used along the side of box in the upper left of the fridge. And then the front cover must be pried off, even as the release button is being pushed up. A flat knife is used for prying in addition to much smacking and hitting the side of the box. The process takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Once the cover is removed the hair dryer is then pointed into the ice maker and with the flat knife the ice is chipped off. I really have better things to do with my time, but I do like my ice.

In approx May 2015 we purchased the Samsung RFF18HFENBSR French door refrig/bottom freezer from Home Depot. Our renovations got delayed so we did not start using it until August. I gave it one star because it looks and fits great but the following year (after the warranty was over) multiple things started happening. First no ice, then water in right crisper and water under both crispers freezing up. I went online and this has been a problem with Samsung refrigerators, many models, for years. I didn't call them because after researching they were not even returning calls to those that had warranties.

All I can say to those shopping, absolutely do not purchase their refrigerators. This is a continuing problem. I have to call a repair guy but more annoying is it may possibly be a simple fix. There is a problem with the heating coil not keeping the water from freezing in a little hole. So their fix was a metal piece that doesn't quite reach the hole too short so it wasn't a fix after all. So water freezes in the hole, then no ice, water in right crisper and water under both crispers that freezes. It also creates frost in the freezer and food in the refrigerator freezing. But now I have to pay god knows how much money for a repair guy, empty everything out of my refrigerator again.

Some repair guys are also saying you have to replace the thermostat piping or something like that. Don't buy this. I never do this but I have a refrigerator in my garage that is 12 years old and has never had a problem and Samsung although they were aware from previous models continued to just make it with the same problem knowing it still didn't fix it.

Mother boards failed in 2 year old unit. There was no one to service the unit even though I had the extended warranty. Samsung was unwilling to help and tried to get out of it. The company pushes the extended warranty but then won't honor the warranty. When you call the customer service number you get people who can barely speak English and those that can speak English are so hard to understand. They make you feel like you are clueless as to how a unit should work and make you feel like you did something to cause the failure. Having to throw out food because of non-functioning refrigerator is not a good thing. Totally useless piece of electrical garbage. I finally gave up and bought a Whirlpool unit. Samsung makes an impressive looking unit but it doesn't last and the company isn't interested in fixing the problem.

On December 15, 2015 I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Less than one month after delivery the ice maker quit working, was totally frozen up from leaking water. I purchased this item from Best Buy's Pacific. The Geek Squad replaced part of the ice maker but did not remedy the program. Upon searching the internet the above was a known problem with this particular refrigerator. In fact Samsung had issued a technical bulletin on how to fix this problem. In the interim I purchased an extended warranty from Samsung. The same initial problem reoccurred in early December 2016. I took my complaint to the appliance manager at Pacific in Best Buy. He told me this was a Samsung problem.

It has now been six weeks and several visits from repair companies the ice maker has not been fixed. It still freezes up, leads water and stops making ice cubes. I was directed to the regional representative for Samsung. Keeps sending out a different repair company without results. Needless to say I am totally frustrated with Samsung and their defective product. I have asked Samsung to replace the refrigerator but upon examining a more recent model the same problem was visible. Samsung continues to sell a defective product. I will be filing complaints with the Texas and Federal lemon laws to try and rectify the above problems. Needless to say I cannot recommend Samsung to anyone.

This is a French door refrigerator, with a bottom freezer (and a drawer within a drawer), plus a middle drawer that's perfect for snacks or things you want often. Water and ice are in the door and the water filter is at waist level for easy changing. I think the refrigerator was thoughtfully designed to serve almost any need for food storage, easy access and easy cleaning. The only thing I might change is the amount of ice that this fridge makes, but that is a trade off for the slim design of the ice maker, allowing more door storage. I love this refrigerator! What's not to like?!

Approx. 4 yrs ago purchased a Samsung French door fridge. Recently the mullion bar became inoperable. After reviewing possible remedies IT became obvious that a new mullion bar had to be purchased. After purchase was made at a cost of $117.74 I tore the replaced bar apart and discovered the culprit to be a spring in the lower part of the bar. This spring could be made for no more than 50 cents at any reasonably priced manufacturer. I assume that the bar is also made by the Samsung corporation so it would be to their financial benefit to develop this spring as cheaply made as it is, so that additional financial gain could be made by their sale of this bar. My advice to any, who are considering purchasing this refrigerator is "BUYER BEWARE".

Had a technician come out because my ice maker was not producing ice and asked him about the odor. He could smell it too. He checked the drain, coils & compressor and found nothing wrong. I cleaned it out again and still have the odor. The technician said it smelled like celery. Agreed, but no celery in my fridge. I've had this fridge for a few years and feel it was a good buy. (Got it on sale.) The model has french doors with a freezer drawer on the bottom and an automatic ice maker but no ice or water dispenser. This was my choice as the ice and water on my prior fridge worked only sporadically and after awhile the water did not work at all. So far, all is working well. I love the french doors as I am able to put large platters in the fridge. I don't love the freezer drawers as I find that shelves are more practical. The only issue I have is that the ice maker has never shut off when the ice container is full, and this causes ice to spill everywhere including behind the drawer and I have no idea where it goes! Due to this, we are very careful to turn off the ice maker manually when the container is filling up. Otherwise I find that there are no problems.

Its white glossy finish and glass shelves clean easily and still look new. Their curved handles are modern looking. This is a large model and it has plenty of space. Freezer drawer is probably as good as they get, but is not as flexible as shelves. Fridge is consistent in maintaining temperature, and items in the rear of the fridge do not freeze which I found to be a problem with other brands. Ice maker produces ice quickly but does not stop producing ice when the container is full and must be watched and turned off manually.

My husband and I purchased a new home July 2016. Kitchen had brand new appliances. We already had a repair done in Samsung dishwasher in which took over a week to get repaired. That was only after 5 uses. December 23, 2016 my refrigerator failed. Lost everything. Called the customer service at Samsung because they are brand new appliances. They should not be failing. The few people that I spoke to were not able to help get someone out. Spoke to supervisor. Got a local repair to come out that Friday to tell us what we known it was the compressor. It's a holiday weekend, company was coming and a baby in house. Samsung certainly did not see our frustrations. The guy at repair center said it will take 3 to five days for part to come in. That brings us to the middle of the week. Called repair center said it may be in Friday.

I called Samsung again today 12/27/16 and told them the issue. Basically there is nothing they could do other than wait for the part even though it will be almost 2 weeks without a refrigerator that should not have failed (in warranty repair). I asked the supervisor at Samsung if they can expedite the part. She said no there's nothing they can do other than wait. Again I tried pleading my case. I have a baby in the house and other young children not to mention it is 60 out in RI today and losing everything in coolers. They did not resolve this pressing issue or the fact that I lost too and bottom of the food in refrigerator that is worth about 300 and the food I had to replace that I lost. Their customer service is just trained to patch the problem. They sound more like counselors than trying to make their product right.

Now it looks like they want me to send a part from my freezer to them to look at on my dime. That isn't going to happen. As far as I'm concerned they can come and fix it. I don't have the means or even know if I'm sending the proper part to them to fix, Not to mention, I'm not going to take a chance on breaking something taking it apart.

I purchased this from Home Depot and shame on them. They should be held somewhat responsible as they sell this product to their customers and have been for years and I'm sure knowing full well the problems Samsung has with their fridges. I asked before I purchased it if there were any problems with this brand, and the answer I got was not a one, it is one of the best fridges they sell. Tech said parts were needed and has received numerous calls on same issue. Fans seized and no cooling.

When I purchased this refrigerator I felt it was to be a good 10 to 15 years before I would have any problems. My last fridge was a hand-me-down Frigidaire from my mom but felt I would go to a more futuristic appliance with bells and whistles. I was wrong. I have since lost over $400 dollars in spoiled groceries. I cannot use it because it does not cool. Lights are ice. I keep calling Best Buy and Samsung, and get the runaround. Samsung, ticket still open, parts in limbo. Best Buy won't accept it back since it's past 45 days of original purchase. I still owe $1,200.00 on a $1,650.00 fridge.

I wish I would have checked more reviews on these Samsung appliances. This is to warn others of what can happen to you if you do get such an appliance. Also to point out how Best Buy and Samsung support DEFECTIVE appliances. Samsung thumbs down. "Sorry can't help you," is the answer. Best Buy thumbs down. "Sorry not our problem after 45 days. Pay 3 times for service and maybe we replace it." Very disappointed with Best Buy on this enigma. Will hashtag this on Twitter and Facebook until I finish paying for it, and hopefully help some other sap from making the wrong purchase, and where NOT to purchase this item with no support or lemon law for defective products that should last at a minimal 5 to 10 years. We returned home from Thanksgiving holiday to find our house flooded! Yep, you guessed it. The refrigerator was the culprit. It malfunctioned, and the inside of the fridge was literally filled with water! We had all hardwood floors, and every one of them has to be replaced, in addition to other repairs.

Well, Samsung was quick to set up repair service through a third party contractor. The "authorized" repair person doesn't have a clue what he's doing. And, like Samsung, their customer service is the worst. I spoke to a Samsung rep again today, and expressed I did not want this refrigerator, that I wanted a new one. I got what I perceive to be the standard answer, and that's "your appliance is no longer warranted, and all we can do is to repair it for you." What kind of crap is that when you have thousands of complaints about your defective product? After reading the complaints here, I noticed a few persons recommending a class action lawsuit. We're in for sure. I'm done with Samsung appliances and after $50,000 in damages and repairs I certainly feel I'm justified!

When our refrigerator quit after 24 years, I was excited to receive our new Samsung refrigerator. The unit was on sale, but my particular unit had been mislabeled in the store, so the salesman gave me the listed price. Perfect! Well, less than 8 months later, the ice maker just quit - on the day of our Thanksgiving dinner. I read all the literature and watched the videos via the QR Codes. My husband and I both reset the ice maker and waited 24 hours. We changed the water filter, even though no indicator light suggested it needed changing.

My first call to Samsung left me beyond frustrated. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told no one was available. This technician (I use this word loosely) had me repeat everything that I had already done. Then she finally told me to turn the ice maker off on the door panel and wait 90 minutes for it to start making ice again. When I asked how it would possibly make ice when it's off, she just kept repeating her instructions. What did I do? I turned the ice maker off. I wondered if this was some hard reset that wasn't listed in any material.

Then came call number 2. I turned the ice maker on and gave it a little time. Nothing. I told the second Samsung person what the first person had me do. He said, "Well, your ice maker won't work if it's turned off." You think? He started asking me to do everything again...checking filter, resetting machine. He then asked me the temp settings. I told him -2 for freezer and 36 for the fridge. He said I needed to change the fridge to 37. When I asked him why setting my fridge one degree warmer would help, he had no answer. He then told me to wait 2-3 hours and call them back if it was not working. I said, "Look, I've been doing the same procedures for over 24 hours now. Can't you schedule someone to come fix this?" He then informed me that it was 'procedure'.

Call number 3. When the third 'technician' started to ask me questions, I cut her off. I explained that I wasn't going to repeat everything again for a third person, especially when my husband and I had already performed the same steps the day before. She apologized and told me that someone would be in my area on Friday, but the service department would call and confirm. I received a call from their service department. It was an automated message, asking me to wait. When nothing happened after several minutes, I hung up. On the second call, I decided to put my phone on speaker and go about my tasks. After 30 minutes, no one had picked up! I then called them back. After a few calls, I finally reached someone. I was told that they did not have me down for service for Friday and that the next available day would be the next Thursday.

So, we are now waiting to see if someone will actually show for Thursday's appointment. I can't believe that something is broken in such little time. I usually read reviews before purchasing any big ticket items. I didn't with this purchase. When your fridge goes out, you simply go out and get one, preferably one that can be delivered quickly. I won't make this mistake again, and I definitely will not be purchasing a Samsung! I don't see how this company is going to stay in business with poor quality and poor service.

Keeps freezing up. Had repair 4 times and now the company has no one to service it. My dryer just went out and it is only 2 yrs old and same thing - no one to repair it and the motor has a 10 yr warranty. Crappy customer service! They just keep telling me someone will call with accommodations. In the meantime I have lost tons of food and been without a dryer for 2 weeks. Not sure why Lowe's and Best Buy still sell these products when there is no one to service them while they are under warranty. So frustrated!

My 28 cf Samsung French door refrigerator with ice and water in the door has been acting up AGAIN. It was fine for the first year, then the bottom of the icemaker (above the ice bin) started frosting over. Luckily I had used Discover who honored their free year of extended warranty. The repairman replaced the control unit and said the problem had to do with the heater of the icemaker that heats the ice to let it release. $400 but Discover sent me a check. The problem started to reoccur several months later and now, 10 months later the icemaker is once again not dropping ice because it is blocked by frost. The ice is not as hard as it should be and I get water out of the icemaker before I get ice. The fridge is set at 35, but is 40 on a thermometer.

I called the same repair place. Only a 90-day warranty on the part. They aren't doing Samsung (or LG) anymore. The parts take too long to come in and they get too many callbacks. Great. It was a good repairman, now I'll be at the mercy of the schmucks that Samsung sends. There should be a class action suit. The mfg has a duty to produce a product that performs the function is it meant to do. It's call warranty of merchantability I think. Sony got sued once for larger screen TV's that failed in less than 4 years and they did an extended warranty for those sets. I think this fridge could be the same.

Updated 12/08/2016: I am updating my review from 12/2/16. I googled the problem of ice buildup and refrigerator being warm. My ice was soft and I called the company that did the repair less than one year ago for frost buildup on the ice maker. They told me it is only a 90 day warranty on the parts and labor for the repair (part warrantied by Samsung for only 90 days!). They also told me they no longer service Samsung and LG.

For Samsung part of the reason is that the parts take up to a month to get and also they got a lot of callbacks on the Samsung jobs. I had had trouble even finding anybody to work on it last year so I hope I can keep fixing it myself... I took the advice I found online and tried to defrost the ice maker using codes. It worked a little, but I had to resort to a hair dryer and melt the ice off the underside of the ice tray and melt the ice behind the ice maker that was apparently blocking air flow to the ice maker and also the fan that circulates the fridge air.

We now hear the unit turning on like it used to and the ice is better (harder). It is pathetic that the replacement control board also failed. Neither the original nor the replacement lasted a full year, even though the repairman had told me the part he replaced had been changed by Samsung due to a problem with it. Really seems like a class action case to me since they acknowledged the defect.

Discovered ice machine was not working properly on newly delivered refrigerator the first day in use. Contacted warranty division for repair and promised contact with 48 hrs. After 2 days without contact and again called warranty service. They reassigned repair ticket to another company. After another 4 days without contact I again called warranty division and was issued a new repair ticket number to yet another repair company. Was contacted by Samsung Tracking Service to check status of repair. Upon hearing that no contact had yet been made by repair company. Tracking Services said they would expedite repair order.

After another 7 days without any other repair contact I contacted retailer (Home Depot) for return/refund. After hearing my story, agent put me on hold while she contacted assigned repair company who informed her that they had no record of repair ticket. She reissued ticket (under same number) and promised a quick contact from them. Ironically, a few hours later I was again contacted by Tracking Service inquiring as to the status of my repair. In our discussion she informed me that her records showed that the repair company had indeed received the repair ticket in the initial transmission and offered to put my case into the Samsung Resolution Department for review. As they were Samsung and has hired the (non-responsive) repair companies in question, I asked her to contact them to expedite. She proceeded to inform me that she was unable to contact their repair company on my behalf.

I fail to understand what Samsung's definition of Customer Service could possibly be. They know there's a problem with your brand new Samsung Large Appliance. They know there are multiple failures (3) in their repair chain, they continue to ask you how is your repair going, but they refuse to actually "step-in" and take charge to resolve the problem. Instead, leaving their consumer to contend with the (obvious) dregs of the appliance repair world that they've chosen to repair their products. Guess with everything in the recent news regarding Samsung guess I should be happy that my refrigerator hasn't blown up yet. The LAST Samsung product that will ever enter my home. Buyer beware!

They said I would be able to get a replacement fridge. They gave me a reference number to give to Best Buy. I did that and Best Buy said the number did not work. Whatever that meant. Since then I have called every month for 5 months and they always give me a bogus number. Yesterday I called again and they said I would be getting a call from their executive customer service center within the hour with a correct number. I never heard from them. We bought a Samsung RF26J7500SR 3 door refrig eleven months ago. WHAT A POS. The refrig compartment fan system keeps freezing up (repairman said it's an inherent design error! ), preventing it from staying cold. We threw out everything inside on Labor day as all the food spoiled waiting the 12 days for the repairman. Then I was told we had to reschedule since the refrig needed to be unplugged for 48 hours for all the internal ice covering the fan blades to melt. On the return visit days later parts were replaced and a factory anti-freezing kit installed.

Now, two months later, the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers and it's warm inside again, seems like the same problem. Samsung customer service can only confirm it's broken, gave me the number of a local repair guy that will fix it under warranty. I assume the repairman will give me an appointment 12 days from when they call me back, which was how long it took for them to come to the house for the first repair!!! Looks like we will throw out everything again. What a joke. I will have to take another vacation day to wait for the repairman. Anyone who buys a Samsung refrigerator needs their head examined!!! Purchased: August 2015. Samsung side by side with dual cooling, ice maker, high end. Best Buy is promoting these with a vengeance. Within two months of purchase, I called because compressor was making hard rattling noise. "Yeah, they do that," said the technician. Called a second time about 6 weeks later because noise did not improve, only got worse. "Yeah, they are loud aren't they," said the technician, "but it is cooling, right?" Fast forward to October, 2016. This refrigerator can be described as: 1) "Ready to launch", 2) "A Mack Truck idling in my kitchen", 3) "a flat head V-8 without oil" - Granted, these are hyperbole, but the point is, this is a refrigerator guys, not a power tool. Not only exceptionally loud but the thing runs constantly.

I know all new refrigerators are low watt, run a long time efficient just like my prior 18 year old Kenmore, but just about every morning after it has been sitting there with the door closed for 7 hours, it is cranking away, seemingly at its loudest. So I called Best Buy because I bought the 5 year warranty. No problem, we will send someone out right away. Guy shows up, "Yeah, terribly noisy, we'll put in for a new compressor." Wow, that is great! Then there was this huge mess up between the Best Buy/Geek Squad hand-off to the people that were going to actually do the work. Two weeks later, technician shows up 10 days late. "That's the noise they make nowadays, yep. If your refrigerator was behind a cabinet, you would not hear all that noise, besides, today's units run at a higher speed." What a bunch of silly excuses. The guy left saying, "It is what it is." I say, "Samsung has a problem. The noise is not to be tolerated."

At this point I am going to see if I can trade this thing out for something else. Noise=loss of energy. I would love to put an amp meter on this for a period of time and see what energy levels this thing is really consuming. After this review, I am going to upload a video of this rickety mess on YouTube, write a bunch of friend and see if it will go viral. Back in August of 2015, all I wanted was a refrigerator that does not dominate my space, it is that bad, it is very annoying, unnecessarily so. Other than that, it is a nice unit and everything else works just fine. In fact, sometimes, but not always, it does run quietly. It is capable of running quietly, they just have a problem with it being noisy most of the time.

We recently put an entire modern kitchen and addition on our home. At that point given we had for many years used Samsung we upgraded the white GE appliances to Samsung in our home as they were here when we bought it. We bought a new French door bottom drawer freezer fridge, pretty much top of the line at Home Depot. We bought the matching microwave model #ME21H705MQS/AC, and lastly also the matching stove with convection, steam cleaning. The fridge was delivered first and it would not shut off and was very loud to a point were it interrupted conversations. After following their processes and after the technician came and he agreed something was very wrong, we had to them go through their executive center who literally after 20 minutes told they would sent our request for this 4 day old fridge to their engineering department to see if we qualified to have to returned.

Home Depot were totally disconnected from this process. They told us they did not accept returns only repairs. We told them and Samsung should their technician who acknowledge this brand new fridge had significant issues and after the so-called executive center began by telling they would promptly resolve our issue. We told their executive center should their decision be to contradict their field technician and not replace and or return it we would seek legal counsel. They called later saying Samsung would return to Samsung. That process has taken 3 weeks since and the unit has been returned back and we await a refund. Think of the logistics involved in such a key appliance as a fridge and not just the food but having two in the house at the same time. We still do not have our refund.

Friday night my wife decided make popcorn for the first time as we are only at this home on weekends in our now month old over the range microwave. With seconds she was screaming as it was on fire with flames shooting out of the side panel on the right hand side. It filled our new kitchen with disgusting white thick terrible smelling smoke. We called Home Depot and again the nightmare starts all over with chasing out tails. In various conversations with service people they tells us there are silent recalls. We are not sure about that but in any case why are they shipping products that can cause fires?Google how often this happens!

I should have mentioned we have been asking to speak to a Samsung manager since this beginning with no feedback. Why should we keep the stove now??? Had we done our research this would not have happened. It is shame our home has been filled with Samsung products till this series of issues but never again!

I have contacted Samsung about this issue and their attitude is "well, that's just the way it is, too bad". Samsung Refrigerator RF4287HA. I am so upset with my refrigerator. My husband and I had our LG refrigerator, which was purchased in 2010, replaced with the Samsung one after we noticed that the inside cabinet was cracking all across the unit. We reviewed the reviews at the time the Samsung fridge was considered... We found great reviews...however, our experience has been nothing but. Our ice maker sticks and has water dripping off of the back, causing it to freeze over, the left side freezer door keeps freezing over with water causing it not to stick to the unit upon closing. We have had the back freezer wall unit replaced, the freezer door rubber replaced, the ice maker parts replaced, and guess what? It is still experiencing the same issues.

I am at my wits end right now. I am currently on the phone with Samsung again...waiting for customer service... Guess I will be waiting for another hour for someone to come to the line. I am frustrated because a unit this expensive should not have this many problems this soon. I thought Samsung was a good product but I may have to reconsider this thought. Repairmen are aggravated and so is my husband. Why are these units freezing up? I just don't understand this!!!

Oh wait... I almost forgot... the snack drawer control panel had to be replaced right after I received the unit and the doors have not closed properly since about that same time as well. I called Samsung about this problem, and they said that it should close properly and that they could not tell me why it was not doing so. A repairman came out and said that screws were missing. Called them back to asked for the screws to be sent to me. They wanted to charge me and said shortly thereafter, that they could not tell me which screws were missing. I needed to tell them information so that they could find out from a third party manufacturer... and yes, I am still on hold for a representative to come on the line. I am beyond done with this company... first it was their phones, then their washers, now the refrigerators and after all this typing, they just hung up the phone on me... Go figure!

When they do they leave a message to call back to the original number. Called again and was told I'd be referred to an authorized repair dealer. Then notified 3 days later that there was none in my area. I did some searching and found one who stated they were. They came out the next day and found the problem (definitely Warranty) but fridge was over year old. I had been dealing with this problem since I purchased it and was told noise was normal.

Took about 39 min for technician to discover the ice maker was assembled incorrectly from the factory. He reassembled it and put it back in and the ice maker has been working well (it's terribly slow) for 4 days now. No knocking and loud noises. Interesting that he figured it out and Samsung didn't have a clue. Apparently they have been installed in the factory incorrectly. I'll gladly join a class action suit against them! But Samsung cracked that nut. Ice maker immediately made ice dam at back of drawer and froze the ice bucket in place. 5+ service calls on a brand-new fridge, never got it working. Tech said we could keep trying but it was a design flaw. Used cardboard and duct tape to seal it off.

After almost 2 years fridge stopped cooling. Warm beer and spoiling milk and food. Temp on the door reads 34 degrees. Bought thermometer, steady 50 degrees. Tried all the fixes I could find online, no effect. Service call, cleaned compressor area. No effect. Read reviews: sounds like it's a problem with coolant leak of the R600 coolant (2 different kinds of coolant for the 2 fridge compressors) which isn't sold in the US and is highly flammable, and will leak out again even if I replace it with the other coolant called R134A. Finding and fixing the leak means tearing out the guts.

The ice maker stopped working within a few days after owning the refrigerator. It freezes up requiring the ice maker to be removed and thawed out. This has to be a common problem with this refrigerator as it works for a few days then the problem repeats. I would not recommend buying any item from Samsung as I think they are just interested in ripping people off and not standing by their products. They got caught with the cell phones but appliances are harder to claim damages even if the damages are clear design problems.

I bought the RF263beasr/aa. Junk, junk and junk. Problem is plain and simple and should never occurred on a new Fridge. Icing problem on the back at the point that you can hear the fans hitting and scraping the ice. And the Ice maker also develops ICE. Read instructions and forums and I leveled the fridge. I made sure that the gaskets of the doors are fully closed and the gasket of the ice maker fully closes and seals the ice maker when door is closed. Fridge is 3 years old and it still has the same problems. I have to get the ice maker every month and use my hair dryer to deice the ice maker. I also once a week I force a defrost cycle plus turn the fridge off for 4 hours to let the coils defrost. My old previous fridge was a GE 15 years old. Nothing wrong with my old fridge (NOTHING, no ice maker problems nor icing problems).

I made the big mistake of remodeled the kitchen and bought new appliances. I bought Frigidaire stove, Microwave and dishwasher. My wife insisted on the SAMSUNG Fridge because of the looks and I pampered her... BIG MISTAKE!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN!!!! SUPPORT SUCKS. Customer service SUCKS!!! One thing I love though: I am an IT Manager and I get to say and approve what Technology to buy in my office with 800 users and guess what!!!! I turn down everything Samsung!!! From printers, PCs, laptops, faxes, TVs, monitors, etc, etc ,etc!!! Nothing Samsung ever again... And any other agency that I do business with I spread the word!!!

Purchased 3 samsung appliances in 2013 and within 1 year the refrigerator has needed to be defrosted every 2 weeks as it freezes up and the water pools under the crispers. Was 2 days past warranty so therefore I needed to find a repairman to fix and absorb the expenses. Tried calling several appliance repair companies and none were willing to work on samsung products. Still am defrosting every 2 weeks. Have ordered parts online for it and replaced but nothing seems to solve the problems.

Just recently the washer that I purchased has been put on a recall and samsung has not responded to me since registering on the site. Went to the samsung site and tried the chat and again nothing, referred to the customer service line. I called this customer service number a couple of days before doing the chat thing and the representative I spoke with told me that if I registered on the site he couldn't help me. I would have to be patient. Running laundry on the delicate cycle makes the drying time 4 times as long and why should I have to put up with kitchen & laundry appliances that say they are energy efficient and carry the samsung name.

The dishwasher repair was so expensive I elected to buy a new Kenmore. The refrigerator nightmare has been going on for 3 months with Samsung customer no service. These people jerked me around for 3 months (over 20 hours talking with them to fix the problem). My advice is do NOT allow Samsung to send out a repairman. Samsung will tell you it's covered (as did the repairman) but when the job is complete you will be charged. I then got stuck with a large bill. If yours breaks call your own appliance repairman and save yourself your sanity. Samsung is a greasy/sleazy company selling beautiful but poorly made appliances. I will never buy or recommend their products.

I purchased a really expensive model in April. The ice maker broke two months ago. I have been trying to get it fix for two months with no luck. They keep giving me the run around telling me that they will call back within 48 hours and they don't. I have left messages all the way to the Executive Customer Relations Dept and NO ONE calls back. They told me Comtech (321-332-0830) had my case and I am TIRED of leaving messages for them as well and they don't even answer the phone. WORST customer service EVER!!! Needless to say, refrigerator is still broken.

We bought our counter depth refrigerator in May of 2015. After six months the ice maker stopped working. We had a Samsung service person come out to fix it. He informed us that he had numerous calls about this type of ice maker and it is one of the worse design he has seen. I have tried contacting Samsung many times about this ice maker for this model and never heard anything back. I wrote several more times and received nothing back. Now with all their phone issues I tried again and of course got a blah blah blah letter that was completely useless. I wrote back stating that I've done everything on their list. This letter wants me to use their Samsung people to have it serviced.

I've already purchased Geek Squad from Best Buy extended warranty. Now the ice maker has completely stopped working. Also if anyone has suggestions on what to do about this issue please respond. If anyone is having similar problems could you please write about it here. I would like to get a list going so that as a group we may get something done to help all of us. Also if considering a Samsung appliance do not buy!!!

I have the Samsung RS265TDRS side by side refrigerator which I purchased 8-11-10 from hhgregg. I purchased a 5 year warranty with it at the time. Since the purchase, within a week I started calling for service. They replaced the display, ice maker, main control board, evaporator fan twice while it was in warranty. Since the warranty ran out in the past year I have replaced the evaporator fan and have had to remove and defrost the coils in the refrigerator twice and open the drain in the pan on the freezer side. Right now I have the icemaker pulled out and the water turned off.

It kept putting water in the ice maker but wasn't dumping ice. Ice built up inside the freezer like a glacier. So I called Samsung Chat!! They claimed they are unaware of any of these issues on their website! DUH! Anyways they claim they have filed a report and will get back with me. We'll see! In my opinion I have a LEMON!! BAD Purchase!! No Backup!! They should stick with electronics! Do not recommend Samsung Refrigerators!

I have been reading reviews and I have all of the same problems. Talked to Samsung twice and they just don't care. Besides telling everyone I know I have also filed a complaint with the Ohio State Attorney's Office. Probably will not do any good but I felt better for about an hour. I will never buy ANY Samsung product. Maybe next I will print flyers and put them out in every Samsung product I see. You've heard that saying "don't mess with a senior citizen".

We purchased a set of Samsung appliances three years ago. One year ago the computer board of the dishwasher broke. We had to replace the entire dishwasher - after only two years. At less than three years, the handle broke off the microwave. AND the refrigerator quit working. The fan and thermostat had to be replaced for a cost of over $350. This is all in less than three years! It is almost more than all the appliance repair we have had to have in the last 40 years.

At first the ice maker was the only problem. That happen about 6 months after we bought it. And the noise of the ice dropping (when it did finally drop, most of the time it was just stuck and tapping loudly) it sounded like a crash in the house. Next the repairman ordered a part that would fix it. It did not. When we called him back he said Samsung does not provide a repair manual and not many people have luck getting the ice maker to function properly. Then the whole control panel went out. I can not find a repair man to even come out to work on it. The food in the refrig. is freezing and the food in the freezer has so much frost on the food we can not eat it. I have read many complaints of the same issues. IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN STARTING A CLASS ACTION SUIT? I believe we have lots of people with these issues and the only solution is to replace the refrigerator. I CAN'T AFFORD TO WASTE THAT MUCH MONEY. HOW ABOUT YOU?

Bought fridge July 1, 2015. Bought extended plan. 9/13/2016 started making motor noise. Repair came 9/21/16, said it was motor. Part has not come in as of 10/31/16. On 10/28/16 freezer stopped working. Lost freezer contents. On 10/30/16, freezer motor and started running again & got cold. Still a loud running noise. Repair can't come out until 11/2/16. But they still have no part. I am very unhappy. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance again. Am letting all my friends know to stay away from them too! Over a month to fix a year old fridge. Unacceptable.

I am a fan of their tvs so thinking 7 years ago I would buy this Samsung 3 door refrigerator. Well my story is the same with ice maker not working and then it freezing up on the evaporator fan except I went a little longer than some of the other reviews. Very disappointed with Samsung and their appliances. I made a big mistake and bought a washing machine and had the repair man out for that within the first year. I hope people will read and learn from my mistakes. Don't buy Samsung appliances. Buyer beware.

I bought the side by side fridge in 2011, and it never gets cold and some yellow stuff on the freezer bottom. Called Samsuck out. They told me there was nothing wrong with the fridge but he also found a crack in the bottom of the freezer. I asked him "why does the fridge when it's turned down as far as it would go but would not get it cold cold like my Whirlpool did and my Kenmore elite did?" He said that's the way Samsuck does their products. I will never buy a Samsuck anything ever again. Whirlpool all the way. I'm tired of import cheap ** products!!! Now it's time for a new fridge. What a waste of money. Thanks Samsuck.

I purchased the 28cu ft french door on 7/18/14. I purchased the Samsung Protection Plan on 10/31/2014. I never had to use this extended service plan until 10/20/16 because the refrigerator failed to keep food frozen and the fridge part had gotten up to 60 degrees. I called the Samsung service line at 1-800-726-7864. I was questioned about how I was using the unit (was it level, did the door seals have dirt on them and all kind of stupid questions). I was given a service order **. I was told it could take up to 1-2 business days for a response.

That evening there was an email from the service team saying the service order was canceled because the unit was out of warranty. I called back that evening & told the person Kia that I did have extended warranty & was given another number to call. I called that number & the person answering the phone was livid because it should have been handled by Samsung. I spoke to Ashonte at Samsung, was given another service order **. Told to wait for another call or check status at fax.@sea.samsung.com. I did & they were charging $47 to get status on service order.

On 10/25 called Samsung, spoke to Latoya. She told me that service order was canceled on 10/21 due to no one at home. That was a lie because I checked my phone numbers and there was no call from anyone. She re-opened the ticket. "Expect contact within 24hrs." I called back to dispute the fact that no one was home and spoke to Ashonte. He told me that there was one company in Virginia that could look at the unit. It was Virginia Electronics, Ashland, Va. Never received a call from the service team or Virginia Electronics as of today 10/28/16. Went to Lowe's and bought another refrigerator yesterday and it was delivered today. I read multiple reviews on your website and found a pattern of failure on Samsung units for no apparent reason. What a ripoff. I am still seething about what had happened.
