Well pleased with the quality, but would have preferred that the slow cooker be made in Italy or someplace other than China. The owner's cook manual should be more detailed for cooking pork chops and chicken. It should have some additional easy quick fix meals for single professionals who still want to learn how to cook from scratch for themselves.

I bought a Royal Prestige cookware because the food cooked using it seem to have more nutrition and it had less fat so it gave me an option of healthier cooking. Although it has good and high quality, I was disappointed that there weren't more cookbooks to go along with it. There were some recipes but not as many as I would have liked to have.

I bought the electric skillet from Royal Prestige when I saw their demo at the Expo Center. I like it but I don't understand it that well. What he did at the show was awesome with all the other cookware but he didn't do much with the electric skillet. I tell people that they can take away my oven and stove, but they'll never get my electric skillet. I fixed turkey breast in there and I don't use my oven anymore so I like it for that. I just don't understand how to do a lot of the other stuff because I really would like to get away from using the oven in the summer months especially.

This company was deceiving and took advantage of me! My fiance and I were invited to a 90 minute presentation in which we were to receive a free gift afterwards. I went for that reason figuring what is the harm in that? Well, here it turns out to be a pots and pans presentation that lasted 2.5 hours instead. I will admit the presentation was fun and maybe the product is good, but I was more excited about the gifts that we could receive. We were repeatedly told you must buy today to take advantage of the sale and of course that got me thinking "well at least if I buy I could sell the product for the same price if I didn't want them."

Well, I end up walking out with an order on the way and 3000 dollars less in my pocket. We were offered vacations on the side which is the only reason I bought the product because I figured I could use the 7 night 8 day vacation for my honeymoon. You could only get the long vacations if you paid for the bigger set. I figured that mathematically it was a great deal. We were told about the airfare not being included but were not informed about the 300 dollars of taxes we have to pay. We were told we could sell the vacations but the certificate says you cannot sell or trade them. We were told the vacations never expire but they expire next year. How will I go on 6 vacations in 1 year???

I decided to call to cancel the order while the shipment was on the way but I called one day late and I sent a cancellation in the mail but they go by the postmark date rather than when it is signed. I went through a lot of calls and research only to find that there was no way out of that contract. I wish I never signed it of course I was tired and not thinking clearly since the presentation went so late and I had work to go to in 4 hours after. Even though they said no pressure I felt lots of pressure to buy. I also bought my product on false information and misrepresentation. I looked right at the woman that gave me the contract and I asked, "how much would this cost if I bought this later on?" Because I figured I would research first. Well she told me, "They are double the price you're paying. That would mean they would cost 6000 dollars!" I thought to myself, "what a steal."

Then I figure out that they are not worth that much at all. The sales representative also kept talking down on other products claiming they are NOT SAFE. He made claims about aluminum pans and pans with Teflon in them being connected with health problems. According to the CEO they are not supposed to bash other products. Here in the end I have bought 3000 dollars worth of cookware that I don't want and never did and there is nothing that can be done about it. The company will not refund money which is strange because if the product I bought is really worth 6000 dollars, from a business standpoint they would save money by canceling my payments and taking the items back. Not really what I need causing me stress and grief while I have my wedding coming up! I don't see how people can take advantage of engaged couples. It is really upsetting! What a mess.

On top of all that the customer service is very diverse. One lady that answered was polite while another was very rude and tempered. Last time I checked contracts are void if signed if you have been lied to and you are a buying a product on false information. I want the product gone and my money back! I hope this informs any future customers about what they may be running into while attending these simple and no pressure presentations. Beware! Also a note for fellow consumers... I do not know for sure but it seems they pay little for these vacations because they work through Odenza Marketing who works with hotels to get leftover rooms cheap. Odenza even says on their site to use these as the last punch to get the buyers attention. The sales reps get these cheap and use these to draw you in. Might as well pay for your own trip and go wherever you want to.

Also the 600 dollar value of rings that we received is deceiving as well. JVL Jewelry even does promo codes once in a while offering 2 free rings. They make money on the shipping you pay which is 25 dollar a ring. Rings that are very similar can be bought for less than 25 dollars elsewhere. This buy is outrageously unfair paying so much for something with little value. I found all these things out after the 3 day cancellation policy so I am trying to let others know before it is too late what you are getting into! Others may have a good experience with them but I have not and this is my honest experience.

I liked the demo that the guy gave of Royal Prestige. I watched two of them because my husband was working in the show with his company. So I watched like a whole one and sat through it and then watched a couple other pieces as a couple. And he did a really good job and I thought the product was interesting. And I had like my original wedding Magnalite from 36 years ago. So it was time for an upgrade.

I just made the last payment so 90 days and I had a few little disappointments. One thing was they give you a few recipes but the instructions of the actual cookware and what I remembered it from the demo, there is not enough information being provided. And then second would be I bought that salad maker thing and I cannot get it to stick to one surface in my kitchen, it just rolls up. I can't use it unless somebody holds it and makes it impossible to use. So that was a huge disappointment because that was one of the things I really was excited about and wanting to start utilizing in my kitchen. So now, it's like a counter decoration. One more thing. My husband dropped the top of my pot the other day and the underneath part of that thing that you open to let the steam out, it cracked.

This company sits you down promising great "FREE" vacation packages and other "FREE" gifts at a sales pitch where you feel obligated to purchase their products for a deal that is unbelievable. I ended up financing a set for the purchase price of $2218.00 in return I would get two Free Vacations stays, one for 2 days and the other for 7 days at a resort all over the world with lots of places to choose from. I would also get free, champagne glasses and free knives. First of all, I was extremely disappointed in the fact that these pots and pans are useless, they burn everything and everything sticks to it, ugh even eggs when even using pam spray.

Secondly to top it off nothing was free at all. There are extraordinarily expensive fees on reserving the vacations, the champagne glasses and knives have fees as well that you need to pay in order to get your free product. I called in to cancel my order and get a refund and they said there is nothing they can do. Basically I am stuck with useless products and useless vacations. This customer service was not helpful at all and said that I am to continue to pay for the pots and pans. I do not agree with paying monthly payments for falsely represented products.

And I have used a couple rolls in the frying pan, and that seemed to work out okay. I guess it's a new learning process and I'm set in my old ways so it's like tell me how to do it, show me. We went down to the state fair and Royal Prestige demonstration looked very intriguing. We bought the bigger set instead of the small, like two-person set, and we're just the two of us. It would be better to do the bigger one for bigger crowds and we have been very, very happy with it. And then as time went on and we began using it and enjoying it, we added a few pieces from estate sales from other companies just to get a little bit smaller containers. I didn't know how to buy anything else, except through demonstration like that. I like the cookware because it heats and cooks quickly, easy to clean up, and it just shines so pretty after you put that bar keepers friend in there. It shines like a million dollars and it's fun to take care of.

We had a seven piece set. We have the Royal Core Electric Skillet and some utensils which we really use a lot. The chopper with cones I think was not part of that set. It sets on the counter and you can put different sized cones on for slicing and shredding and so forth. I use that quite a lot too. The quality is really excellent and good though I thought it was a lot of money to spend. I told my husband that if we're gonna spend that kind of money, we should have done it 20 years ago or more but obviously, we didn't.

I've had the cookware since January and it has it's ups and downs. Firstly, the cleaning was an issue - it's been challenging. They’re tough to clean and more time than I already want to put into them. I think that the company should send some of their cleaning solution to see if that cleans them back. Second, if you cook an egg or some different things, they just don't come out like the home show. I also had some issues with discoloring at the bottom of the interior of the pots, and it takes a long time to get the thing back to what it should look like. The cookware are attractive, however it's really the cleaning that's the biggest issue for me.

They sent me a check. It has been resolved, and I'm very satisfied. When I explained to them how I felt, they tried to fix it.

    Original Review: April 6, 2015

We are very health-conscious in this family, so the fact that I do not have to use oil or fat in cooking and how well and tasty the food cooks on a Royal Prestige cookware got me interested. We were at the country fair, and we liked what we saw and tasted. But this changed very quickly after we got home and used it. I'm very unhappy with it.

What was unsatisfactory with it is that you have to use oil or food that has a fat content in it and cook it slow so the fat gets into the pan. I called up the company and they sent me to a website and some information on it, and it's exactly what I was doing. And then I called back and they have this gentleman call me. He was an outside representative of the company and he went over my problems with me. He told me to use a certain cleaner which we did go out and buy. You can't just use any cleaning powder from the stores. He told me exactly what to get. The pan does clean well with that cleaner. We cleaned up the fat, which was an expense, and then he told me I have to put oil in it. But that was the purpose of my spending money for this cookware -- not to have to use oil or fat in cooking, and we don't use food that has a lot of fat in it. So as far as I'm concerned, it's misrepresented.

Royal Prestige was not very helpful. The gentleman was, and was very nice with me and spent a good half hour on the phone, and sent me things on the web to try and help me. Then they called back to see how I was doing.

I had gotten waterless cookware before and I just liked what they had to say about Royal Prestige so I bought it. I have a pretty big Royal Prestige set. It's sturdy and I can have the heat lower and with less water. I have the electric fry pan, slow cooker, the knives set and the utensils. I do have one problem with it though. I got the set that was the 9-Ply with the space in the middle and it was recommended that I send it back, and they put a plug in it. So now, if I don't want that plug to pop out and make a big noise that will rattle everything, I can't soak them.

I was told by the representative when I saw him last summer that I should call a certain number and they would replace them. I haven't pursued that at all, but I do not like that. It just really takes away from the purpose. With that plug, it has scared me because it actually leaks and gets water in between. So then, the pressure builds up in there and it pops up and the lid flies off and I don't like that. And I don't like the fact that I can't soak them.

My neighbors across the street, who are good friends, had gotten Royal Prestige; their parents had them, and then before my friends got married, that was their deal--they were going to get them no matter what. That was their only prerequisite for their daughter. So she got them and they were super pleased. It so happened that when I bought a pan at TJ Maxx and had trouble with stuff sticking, I was irritated so my neighbors advised that I need a Royal Prestige. I was a little concerned about the price, and so I went to the fair and talked with the guy that was there.

He gave me the best option, he was a very nice guy, and I ended up biting the bullet and doing it. After I got them, I didn't watch the DVD, which was bad on my part, but I found a few tricks that I needed to do. I was super thrilled with the soups and other things that were cooking. It just took us a while to get the technique down for the pans to fry eggs and grilled cheese sandwiches, but all in all, it has been a really nice, amazing transition. I just can't get all the little brown stains out of my pan but I don't care how good my pans look on the outside; it's more the stain on the inside but they still cook well.

My neighbor also has all the dishes, all the knives and they just swear by it. There's a good 50 years of those people telling me these are amazing products and I was convinced that this is the right thing to do. So as it turns out, it was a very good investment for me and I'm very pleased. This is a good-quality product, an investment that's really good especially for new couples or anybody just getting out on their own. I would highly recommend them.

So we had to have something that would work on the convection top and Royal Prestige does. My wife was a little hesitant about that when I ordered it but she's perfectly happy with it now. Updated review: March 31, 2015

Updated Experience - I received a call from an assigned distributor to my case, and would give the advice below to potential and future customers:

    1. If you are signing the agreement as a couple or letting your future spouse sign individually, make sure you BOTH READ EVERYTHING regardless of who puts down the deposit. My fiance signed a completely separate agreement from me in a different corner of the room (line of credit) which caused the majority of my grief with this business (I only signed a simple deposit invoice and realized that he signed a LOC when it was too late). If you do not see the paper that asks for you or your future spouse's SSN as if you're filling out a credit card application, then ASK to see it because I guarantee you it is there and both parties need to read it thoroughly. One of you will be signing up for a LOC and/or the deposit invoice so be aware that there are TWO documents in motion. Hopefully in the future they will make couples see the document together before confirming everything - after all, two lives do become one after the wedding and you do not want the surprise of your spouse being in debt over the kitchenware while you believed that all you signed was an invoice asking for a deposit in prep for receiving the pans for the total amount owed.

    2. If you do not pay for the kitchenware upfront (no one does unless you have $1.5K+) to put down at the demonstration, then you WILL be opening a line of credit with interest; just like a credit card. If you are okay with this, then fine. If you have other bills to pay (venue, vendors, rent/mortgage, childcare, car note, etc.), then seriously consider the kitchenware's worth to you while keeping your other payments and bills in mind. If you plan on paying the minimum $45 for 6 months /$90 a month until pay-off, then you are looking at a minimum of 2 YEARS' payment for the kitchenware -- and you will probably be married with a chance of kids by then.

    3. There is NO such thing as trying the kitchenware out after the demonstration once you receive it in the mail. It is impossible. Again - it is impossible! If you are not satisfied with them after receiving them for whatever reason (unless a defect is detected), then too bad. You will not get a refund no matter what you do. Whomever signed the LOC MUST cancel the order within 3 days of signing at the demo or you are stuck with the kitchenware forever. For-ev-er.

    4. Re-read number three. You must assess the kitchenware's worth to you based off of the rep selling them at the demonstration. The marketing to sell the kitchenware is very good, so be aware.

    5. If all else above has failed you, or you did not get the chance to read this before your purchase, then cheer up! You will get to build your credit by owning these pans, have an active warranty as long as you pay the bill on time, and be able to possibly take an all-inclusive trip as a free gift (taxes, airfare, and fees DO apply). If you purchased the Complimentary Set, you will also find out as shown in the demo that they are cheaper than *some* kitchenware sets at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Overall, the positives of my phone conversation lead to 2 incentives to ease the pain of buying the kitchenware. What I am still highly interested in is the kitchenware proving its worth over time. They are simply not worth what they were made out to be; at least to me. This is my main reason for the complaining, multiple calls, disgust, poor ratings; everything. If these pans were the work of angels like they were presented, I would not mind the cost of them. I watched the DVD that it came with and went through all the instructions that I could find, and still believe that my old pans are just as good (or dare I say better) than Royal Prestige's Cookware. They all work the same to me except for the quirky fact that their pots whistle! Until I see the day that these pans earn "royal" status, then I will continue to look at them in terror and disdain when I open up my kitchen cabinets.

    Original Review: Feb. 27, 2015

If something is to good to be true then almost always it is! My fiance and I were invited to a demonstration under the sketchy name "Dinner4Two" at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Lafayette, Indiana on February 5th, 2015. The invitation explained how we would be compensated for our time by gifting participants these very cheap, Tungsten rings by a company named JVL Jewelry (we already had rings) or a not-so-inclusive, all-inclusive 2 night resort vacation under several conditions (i.e. it's not free). The demonstrator was very nonchalant and exhausted from the poor souls before our group in which they all purchased the cookware.

Although Dinner4Two/Kitchen Charm/Royal Prestige/Hy Cite Corporation (all the names they operate under) had a great demonstration, it was well forged and we all felt highly pressured to buy due to scare tactics. To make the deal even sweeter, they "threw in" a bakery set along with the pots; but let's be real -- who supposedly throws in alleged cookware worth a thousand plus dollars for "free"? In the end, my fiance and I were the only idiots to buy during our session and I told him that we should cancel. Still star-struck by the pans and after reading through our contract that does NOT indicate that the consumer is not allowed to return, we trusted that since the company relied so much on quality and satisfaction that they would let us send them back (I even asked our demonstrator about returning them and he ignored me).

After only 3 uses on each complimentary set pan (except the mini one), I have found these pans to stain very easily, cook like my other pans, and are far from extraordinary! The only other items that me and my fiance have used are the 2 knives that you can buy on Amazon for a few dollars, the wooden cutting board, and the potato masher. Today (2/27) I called Hy Cite Corporation at 845-497-7726 and spoke to a male representative who told me that I only had 3 business days to cancel, something that is not stated on the original contract. I asked him to transfer me to legal because obviously he was going to wind me in circles, but he transferred me to a woman saying that there was no legal department.

After extensively reading through the company's countless bad reviews for a second time today, I decided to take matters into my own hands and have started filling out a consumer complaint which will directly go to the Attorney General of Indiana. To make sure that I am covered on both ends, I am also in the process of hiring a consumer fraud lawyer. I will not stand for this and WILL GET MY MONEY BACK. I feel victimized as a college student, soon-to-be wife and mother, and young professional who does not want to start her life off in bad financial strains. If a state settlement has to be made (just like the one in California), then so be it. I am not backing down and will post this on every single site that bears the company's multiple names.

Paperwork was completely rushed with no time to look over everything. The salesperson also stated that customer service is available 24 hours a day, that he can personally be reached at all times as well. First problem: I never received my items until about two months after making my purchase. Each time I called the 24 hours customer service to see where my items are, they told me I have to contact the person who sold it merchandise to me and gives me a phone number that never gets answered or calls back when left a voicemail. I get the merchandise about the same time as I get the second bill to see the "set price" has risen drastically even though I have made my correct payments.

Call customer service again and once again are of no use, they tell me it doesn't matter what their salesperson says, the contract states there is interest accumulated every month and that it is all nonrefundable (we hadn't even opened the boxes yet!). They tell me to call another number which transfers me to the same agent who then just hangs up on me. I still have not unpacked the boxes to comment on the quality of the merchandise but from my experience so far, this company is not trustworthy nor would I ever recommend them to anybody.

I've owned Royal Prestige for five years and I like how it cooks. I love all of the items that I got from them - all of very good quality. But I had some difficulty with some of the pans and they did the recall. I got the recall pans back and it has a little tampered valve on the side and I've had a couple of pans blow that valve right out and hot steam came out. That made me very upset. I was just glad there weren't any grandkids around when that happened because it blew steam out for about almost 2 feet.

I mentioned this to one of the representatives and he gave me an 800 number to call about that. But I'm a little tentative with these because I don't want to use them around the family in case I had some built up moisture in there while cooking. They bore a hole in it and put that plug in it but when you go to wash the pan the plug comes out, it gets some moisture in there and it blows it out when you go to cook. It's a hazard. I don't want this around kids. They were good pans until this happened.

All the items I purchased from them were excellent, but there was one time about two years ago when we had a recall on the 9 layer, and the recall fix was that they put an additional valve on the side of the pans that was supposed to keep the pan from exploding if the seams deteriorated to where the water got between the layers. It was a horrible looking fix. But aside from that, all of their products have excellent quality.

It's supposed to look brown and then flip it over, turn the knob and it might take a few minutes to turn it down but not for for me. You put it on the longer and then it will cook. I don't like the temp thing on it. I do like the pan because I can cook the spaghetti in seconds. It's just the skillet that I don't like.

I like the quality of Royal Prestige's pots and pans. I'm just having a little bit of a hard time transitioning in cooking some of the things that I'm used to cooking in the pan like a risotto. Since my kids usually help me cook, I'm also trying to teach them to use Royal Prestige Cookware. I just wish there was a cookbook that is more in-depth and has better training on cooking because we like to cook and we have been having second burns. Now I can't leave them that much because now I'm not sure if they can do it. I made something the other day, you could feel that I seared the bottom. So how do I make chicken and rice, one of our dishes that could go together, in one of these pans or pots? I feel that I'm over steaming things too - I made broccoli yesterday, and I overcooked it because I left the valve close. I turned it off, but I just didn't know how to open the lid after a while. Cleaning them, on the other hand, is not a problem. It cleaned up nicely. I just wish there were ways of cooking with them.

One complaint - I was to receive the stainless steel mixing bowl with a lid. I had to call to get the bowl because it did not come with my order. It did arrive, but the lid does not fit at all.

In 2007 or 2008, I was invited to a free dinner over at Ottumwa where Royal Prestige Cookware had a demonstration. I ended up buying a basic set because I liked their concept -- I don't have to use grease to cook with it which is a healthier eating and I also like the cleanup and the durability. But I wasn't real happy spending $2,000.00 for a set of pans (mine was the 9-ply) and some of the pans had to be sent back in, and then they put a little rubber plug on the side of them. Then they sent me replacement pans that were less in weight. It was like a 7-ply and they're okay.

Also, I had one of the electric pots and it wouldn't heat right, so I needed a different thermostat cord. They said that they no longer had that pan available so I had to go with a different skillet. I was a little bit upset about that. But I would still probably recommend them because they try to please their customers, but they need to slow down on their production and get it more perfectionist.
