    Original Review: Jan. 28, 2015

My fiancé and I were invited to a dinner for two party saying we had won all these prizes but had to go and sit through a showing with no pressure to buy anything. The show turned out to be a presentation on cookware. The guy seemed nice, the wares seemed nice. However, the cost was a bit much and a newly engaged couple should really be saving for the wedding not buying $2,000 and up cookware. We are young and naive. We got our set and was not pleased at all! They are heavy, and for someone who is always in the kitchen cooking, they are a pain to maneuver. They are not worth the money spent on them. They say they won't stick and do not need water or grease, but they stick! Even cooking pasta in them (yes with water) my pasta will stick all over.

And of course, right when we got the set we were moving to a different state. We changed mailing address and even tried contacting them saying we haven't gotten our bill. So now two months later after giving the pots and pans a chance, I feel they are not worth what we paid and would like to return them and get rid of any bills, please!

My products are second to none. I have the knives and cookware. I use both everyday. Starting with the cookware, even if these weren't waterless/greaseless pans, they would be worth for the build quality alone. The design is such that it will truly last a lifetime. I thought the bit about using less energy was just hype, but it is really amazing how much less energy you use when you cook.

It really becomes evident if you own the cookware for a while and go over to a friend/family members place and cook with their cookware. You just get used to turning things to a lower temp, and then realize its barely cooking when you are at someone else's place. Cleaning is easy as well. Especially when you clean it like they do in the show. Best purchase we made as a couple.

The knives are fantastic. Compare them to anything out there. There is nothing that is better. There are similar quality knives, but none will have the unbeatable warranty that these do. I have had these knives for almost a decade and they still cut like they were brand new.

I bought the whole set of pans and the knifes. I have had them for almost 4 years and they are so easy to use. It has changed the way my family eats vegetables and is so much healthier. I have used my 12 qt pan to make the turkey for Thanksgiving & Christmas the past 2 years. It was the juiciest turkey we have ever had & it just fell off the bone so no need for carving. The customer service is also great. My rep gave us his number in case we ever had any questions. He always returns my calls in a timely manner and never makes me feel like a bother or it's a dumb question.

My brother in law while house sitting burnt chicken in my pan (he forgot he was cooking) then he left the pan on the counter for 2 days until we returned home. I called my rep in a panic and he walked me through how to clean it. He even ask if he needed to come to my house to help me. It was so easy to clean. These pans are a great investment and I recommend them to everyone I know.

Heats up fast, takes way less heat to use, very user friendly and easy to control. I was a skeptic at first because I used other stainless steel brands like Al-clad (which I thought was the best you could buy) but once I cooked a chicken breast in the electric skillet and wiped it out with a paper towel, I was a believer. Definitely worth the investment!

A 30-minute demonstration with Jamie ** is a college education in cooking. We bought our cookware in 2008 and we still love using it--the quality is superb. We once made a mistake and left one of the pans on a burner too long--a normal piece of cookware would have burned up, but the only problem we had with Royal Prestige was with the spring-loaded vent cap, which Royal Prestige replaced cheerfully and at no charge. This would complete our set more with some of the more bigger pieces that we would need. In October, we got the electric skillet which my husband loves, the salad slicer, and the crock pot. I don't cook with it as much as my husband does. He just loves the fact that you can use it and don't have to use as much water and you can cook healthier with it. They are all very good quality. I purchased from Royal Prestige because the presentation was really done well and I was impressed. We use propane in our house and it can be quite expensive. We purchased the set because I'd use less propane due to the way that it would cook. However, I've had a little trouble with it. It tends to burn food and it's hard to get the food off of them afterwards and I'm really careful. I turn it on low but still it's a learning process and have to determine how much water to put in. Although during the presentation, it didn't seem like he added water. And even when I read the material, you just need to add a tablespoon or two. That doesn't seem to be enough. I do like the slow cooker type thing.

The ordering process was quick and everything arrived in good shape. I like the payment plans. However, I'd like to have more training in it. I'd appreciate more information, maybe more recipes online that could become available - just step by step. The more that's done, the more I'd use it and the more I'll get used to using them. I had thought about returning them cause I'm not really using them, but I do understand they're a good value. In the long run, I know I'll be happy with them. I just need to practice a little bit more with them and I have to re-learn the way I used to use pans.

I have spoken with Carolyn **, Customer Service Manager for Royal Prestige Cookware, and she has been very responsive to our predicament. Her involvement and considerations have dramatically changed our feelings about Royal Prestige Cookware.

    Original Review: Jan. 19, 2015

Pedro ** sold me royal prestige cookware. Pedro **, the manager of the royal prestige distribution store sold us a set of cookware. It was very high priced, but he claimed it exceeded anything we could use for cooking. He stated that if we didn't like the cookware, we could return it. The order arrived 3 weeks later, and we examined the cookware set and decided that it was not worth the cost. We called Pedro ** several time to return the cookware but he DID not answer. We went back to the royal prestige store front but it was always closed. After several weeks we started to get calls about the payments. We explained that we wanted to return the cookware. We were told that Pedro ** had to authorize the return. We explained that he never answered his number and the store front was never open. The cookware is still in the box, and it has never been used. Now the cite royal prestige has listed the transaction as a charge off.

That's what made my husband buy the cookware for me. However, we ended up returning it. My husband is prone to impulse-buying and while I was certainly there and tried the food and saw the demonstration, I didn't really have time to research the brand. The brand name was not readily apparent so even a quick look on our phones did not really give us the full detail. When I got home and did a little further research and it was an in-home trial, I decided it wasn't for us. I had a 30-day money back guarantee.

I was perfectly happy with my experience, but wasn't thrilled with the product. I found the person at the show to be very professional. The customer service after the show, I had to be on them a little bit but eventually they did what they said they would do.

I have not had mine long but they wash up very nice, though there are some that when I first got them, they kind of stained a little bit. I rewashed them and some of it came off.

We saw Royal Prestige at a demonstration. The last time that we saw it and sat down and looked at it, we decided to make a purchase. So far, quality seems to be good. We’ve used three or four different pieces of it and it’s a little adjustment in your cooking. We’re still working with that but we’re happy with it. We also had gotten the turkey roaster from them and we have some questions about the literature that comes with it. I did call and ask and they were able to get me some information on that which was helpful. My experience with Royal Prestige has been very good and we’re enjoying it.

My mother bought me a set of Royal Prestige for a wedding present. I've had it for twenty years now and it looks almost as good as the day I bought it. It's nice having durable pans. I never had any problems if anything burns, not that it happens often. I can clean it quite easily and even put it in hot water right away and it doesn't warp. I've bought a grill and the 8-inch skillet since and the quality is great. We enjoyed working with Mark who is our account rep. He's always been very friendly. We always see him at the fair and he remembers our family. My mom bought four sets at once because I have three other sisters, so she just bought them all at one time.

My 18-yr-old daughter and her new fiancee that was 20 went to the presentation and was told a bunch of bull of how great the products were. Was sold the set for 3,000. And these two only brings home less than 2,000 a month. I understand the concept of sale and know that they put their name on the contract but if the company had any morals, they would not be selling something for this outrageous price two people that they can clearly see cannot afford it. My daughter called less than two weeks after and tell them they cannot afford it and him not use the products, could they return it, and was told no. Again, I do not believe this company has any morals. They're basically the same as snake oil salesman. BEWARE.

My fiancé and I were invited to a Royal Prestige event to sit through a presentation and receive one of a few gifts with no purchase being necessary. The presentation was great; the product seemed to be like a phenomenal product so we decided to move forward with the purchase. I was told that I would be receiving the products within a few days. The day we went to the presentation our salesman had called to let me know we forgot our entire packet at the hotel where the demo was held and that he would be mailing the packet to us (I never received this).

Upon receiving the items I was not happy with their performance (the food sticks to pot and burns/ the built in "food timer" does not accurately go off as said in the demonstration when the biggest thing I like was being able to set the food and forget about it). At that time I called the number that I found online, which was 608-273-3373 to cancel my product. After being transferred about 3 or 4 different times I finally was able to cancel, received a cancellation number, and was told a shipping label was on the way.

Right around that same time my business picked up, I have been married, and have purchased a new home. It was in the process of purchasing the new home I had learned that I still had an open balance with Hy Cite and then came to find out that they had been withdrawing money out of an account I had not checked. When I called to inquire of why there was no cancellation and why they were still charging my account I was told 'your call is past the cancellation deadline of three days and we will not cancel your purchase'. Upon learning this I knew I had to keep paying to avoid a black mark on my credit until the purchase of the home went through.

Today I called and tried to cancel again and now am being told that there is absolutely nothing that I can do, I am locked in to the contract (which I do not even have a copy of, but now they are more than willing to send me a copy of) and I am stuck with unused pots and pans (minus one pan) that just sit and take up room in my garage. I am at the point now that this is the case after paying them a good chunk of the purchase price I just want to cancel and get this junk out of my garage. Today I cancelled the automatic payment so now they cannot get any more of my money.

I still have the first set I bought in 1982 and about three years ago, I bought a newer set. I also have the china Royal Prestige. The quality of these cookware is awesome. I use them almost everyday and I don't have any problems. My 30-year-old said they still look new. They do not have any glass marks or anything. I just make sure that I wash them right after. I use them all the time and even when I have a big dinner, I don't feel ashamed of taking them out because they look so pretty. I don't need any other dishes or glasses. I even introduced those to my sister when she was in Iceland. When she moved to Costa Rica, she took them with her. Everything's good.

    Original Review: Jan. 10, 2015

2 or so years ago I received a letter informing me of a recall for my Royal Prestige pans which I purchased in 2007. Some had water trapped in the copper layers and had subsequently gotten damaged when heated. Mine did not have an issue but I sent my pans in anyway in the hopes that I would maybe get a new set. The "fix" was a hole drilled into all my pans with a rubber stopper to let out water. I hate this fix, there is always water inside my pans, if I don't remember to pull out the stopper when I use my pan the valve pops off with the sound like a gunshot. To say I am disappointed is a gross understatement. These pans were VERY expensive and I expect to use them forever and now I'm stuck with damaged pans with awful valves that severely reduce the value of the pans in my mind.

Another thing I am dissatisfied with are the whistle valves on the lids, these become unscrewed and fall off easily and regularly. We lost one and had a very hard time replacing it. Otherwise I think the pans are great, work well and are high quality. I deeply regret getting the recall fix as it has severely reduced the value and functionality.

We got some information from him, attended one of his seminars and ended up buying a very expensive set of pots and pans from them and they have proven to be extremely durable and long lasting and don't show signs of wear and tear really at all. We're just kind of stuck with them. It works well. The one thing that we would have liked is more of a nonstick surface on the pots and pans that we got. The only thing that might persuade people not to go towards Royal Prestige is the price is rather high but they offer good products. My wife and I were talking just the other day about how they will likely last our lifetime.

I also love the electric skillet - very good quality. I've had a little trouble though with my food chopper. My fiance and I bought cookware at one of their shows for engaged couples. It was going to be like an $88 dollar a month payment, which was fine, we could afford that. Well, after about a month, my fiance got offered a job in a different state, and so we picked up everything and moved. We forwarded our mail, which is how our bill for our cookware came. We noticed that that bill never came, so we tried calling both the company and the post office to see what had happened. Instead of being helpful and trying to work through the problem, they became focused on "you need to pay what you owe, Blah blah blah" and got pretty rude.

Fast forward a few months, now they call my cell three to 8 times a day, not even a minute after each other, and leave rude, threatening messages (which I record) at all hours of the day. I work second shift (which they are well aware of) and sleep during the day, and their calls disrupt my daily routine. They are a hassle to deal with, especially their payment and collection methods. I am ready to return everything and to report it to the BBB. Their products are good, but their tactics are poor.

My fiance and I were invited to go to a show for newly engaged couples from a run of the mill wedding site found online that we signed up for to assist with wedding preparation. The show can only be explained as a marriage between an overpriced Tupperware party and a time share get away promising you free gifts just for showing up. The free gifts you will only get if you purchase something (Main products include a set of sub-par pots/pans for $2,500----Yep that's not a typo $2,500). The sales associate was very pushy and paid little to no attention to anything you have to say. Unfortunately my fiance wanted one of the products and who am I to say no. We decided to start the purchase with the forms up till they explained the finance options which I have seen better from 2nd chance finance companies. After discussion that night and after reading multiple poor reviews of the company we decided not to go forward with the order. I attempted to contact the sales rep on # he provided but never called back.

The next day my fiance contacted the company to ensure the order would not be placed. The rep advised no order had been placed and became extremely rude. We requested it not be submitted. She then stated that we needed to mail our form with cancellation request to them even though the order had not yet been placed and this would not be a cancellation, but rather a decline of sale. After about 40 mins of being on the phone (mostly on hold), they finally said not to worry about it and that since the order had not yet even been placed that they will ensure it is stopped. Amazingly, a few days later the product arrives at our door. Oh, and on a side note during negotiations with sales rep we managed to get a few additional items for "free" added on to the order, none of which arrived with the product, so another big lie from the Rep. Anyway, my fiance was able to contact them that day. THANK GOD she has patience enough to deal with these people because I promise they do anything they can to be rude and evasive.

Humorously enough, when she told the rep who she spoke with the first time she called, the rep stated that was not possible because that is her. So the original rep used this rep's name during the call to keep from getting in trouble for her extreme rudeness and not stopping order as stated. Luckily this rep, was actually ok to work with but you can tell she is still a company employee drinking the cool aid her company has to offer (if you know the meaning). Anyway this call took over an hour but we were able to come to terms to have the merchandise returned via UPS on their bill and we were told since we had cancelled the order well before required time frame they would return our money right away which would take 3-5 business days. 7 business days passed and no refund received.

This time I called back and was advised that they just received merchandise day before yesterday, even though the tracking shows it was received by them 4 days ago. Now they are saying that they allow the distributors 5 days to reply, first asking if I have been contacted and then turning around and saying the distributor calls them. Obviously she is making the rules up as she goes along because she talked in circles and changed her story like 3 times while on the phone. Then she hung up on me after I called her out on the contradictions in her time frames. Still no money for a product we requested to be cancelled well before the order was even placed. I am now speaking with a lawyer. If it was possible to give rating of less than one star, I would.

Me and my newlywed husband bought a filter for our water. When we made the order the lady was a new representative and asked her if once we received it, she could test the water for us to make sure that indeed the filter was working. This never happened. She disappeared on us and never came back to test the filter or ask if we liked it. We tried returning the item and the company would not let us return it. According to them my husband signed a contract that he had to go by and we could not return it. We decided to stop making payments on the filter and allowed them to freely come any time to pick it up, by them or their sales rep.

We fell behind on a few payments and one afternoon my husband kept receiving calls from an unknown number. I called and according to some rude guy they had a signed document by a judge that because since we didn't pay for the filter, he had the authority to come to our house and take all of our belongings, put them in a storage, & sell the storage to make up for the money that we did pay off for the filter. They made us call some office in new york with a finance company call IF (international finance). They required us to pay $700 thru western union in an hour otherwise they were ready with a box truck outside of our house to take everything out. I have never gone thru something like this. This was such a horrible experience. We have recordings of all the calls and the racist comments they made on the phone. If anyone can help us please advise.

I talked to my sales rep and he told me that they are not required to register your pots if you buy cash. Now Royal Prestige/Royal Rip Off Mgr. Max told me that he is just making his job. This is the company policy yes salespeople don't have to register your pots if you buy cash but customer needs receipt if they need anything replaced. In other words, the so-called warranty is garbage. VOID, DOES NOT EXIST FOR CLIENTS THAT DID NOT FINANCED THEIR COOKWARE. They won't even replace the steam valves.

In March I called and talked to Jana, she told me that the difference on my pots to the ones they offer to replace is $580.00, for that she will send me another pot and one more for the inconvenience. Today I was told by Marcelo that she made this up or the company is no longer doing that. If I don't find my receipt of purchase there is no warranty at all, and if they are kind enough to replace my pots, I get cheated out of my $580.00. What a crappy company to work for. How can they be allowed to stay in business doing what they are doing.

Now I am seeing tons of people have had issues with them but I personally have not. Everything cooked fine, pans cleaned well as long as I did as directed which for me was a bit of a hassle but heck I wanted to keep them nice since I paid over a thousand for them.

In 2013, I saw there was a recall for my particular set due to some malfunctions and they gladly replaced them for me with a newer set that was made to avoid the issue that they were having. Only issue was I had moved from East Coast to West Coast and everything was moved by plane so they were rather heavy to move so I let my mother keep them. When the new ones arrived, I allowed her to give them to my sister and there has been no complaint about them yet. As for the vacation, I haven't used them yet and I guess I will see when or if the time comes.

As we attended the demonstration and told the rep we weren't interested, he kept on and on and finally convinced us to buy some. He never explained to us there was going to be a finance company in between. The day comes when we receive the merchandise and we call to return. They said we could return the merchandise but would still have the remaining balance of $2,300.00 so we kept them. Fell behind on payments for 3 months and finally started making payments of $115 each month. 2 years later, after receiving numerous phone calls at ridiculous times of the day, my mom comes to realize why does the finance lady keep calling me, I'm sure I've paid them off already.

We request a payment history and we have overpaid them $300 at the purchasing price but their records we still have a remaining balance of $600. How can that be? Well carefully reviewing the payment history one month from the $115 payment, they apply $98 in just interest and the rest to the capital. The following month, they apply $46 towards interests and the rest to the capital. The following month, $76 towards interest the rest towards the capital. The following, $10 dollars towards interest and the rest towards the capital. So now how much is the interest rate in reality? I call thieves.. I will consult with a lawyer because this is not fair. Us people don't have money to be throwing away for free! Very upset with this company.

They burn, they turn black. I need some input. I want to know if I should keep the 9-ply. I heard the 5-ply are not good either. If anybody is taking legal action, let me know I will join too.

My fiancee showed me this Dinner for Two offer that she won, so I said, "sure let's check it out." The Sales Rep was intelligent in all of his tactics and used correct information according to things in today's world. We purchased the set, it looked amazing. The glasses didn't chip or break and the cookware looked amazing. I realized after I got my set, I couldn't cancel. Two plates were broken, the pot lid handle was scratched to hell. I called them and ordered new ones. They tacked on an extra $495 on my online bill that I wasn't aware of until I made my first online payment. The interest is $13.36 every month on an $1800 bill that's supposed to be 1200 O_o I said well **, let's at least see if this crap works (after checking here seeing the horror of complaints).

I cleaned my skillet in warm dawn dish soap and vinegar water getting every orifice to remove any factory oils or particles. I preheated it to the designed instructed temperature. The water beaded around in the skillet. I put in 1/2lb of bacon defrosted and moisture filled. It immediately seared the skillet burning and browning, set my smoke alarm off even with my stove fan on. I covered it to stop the smoke from filling the room, the whistle immediately went off on the lid and it ruined my bacon completely. After cooking, I attempted to scrape and clean the burnt bacon on the inside off. I used every cleaner available in a kitchen and even attempted to scrub it with steel-shavings. The brown won't come out and my cast iron skillet works a thousand times better.

I am a Sou Chef for an outstanding restaurant. Most of you reading this have already felt the burn from this company. For those that haven't, the only products that work as intended from this company are the glasses (not ceramic) and the silverware (steel ware). Everything is 3-5 times the actual valued price of any product and it's a complete rip-off. If you want advice, stick to cast iron. It never fails and never cracks if you take care of it. I'm using one from my grand father's day, it's still cooking and cooks good.. Oh, and FYI, any negative respond or comment to Hy Cite's products on their forums (which takes about 1 hr to actually find), gets instantly removed.

Never really veggies before, but now they actually have taste. Throw them in the cookware w/ a tablespoon of water & your good to go. I've kept my pans looking nice and new with stainless steel cleaner. I've noticed ppl like to cook on high at first so you may burn your food. The steel cleaner & Scotch Brite pad is perfect for this situation.

While cooking I heard loud noise coming from my pot, my pots it seems to have air inside looking for a way out. After it cooled off I notice my pot bend from the interior and remove the plug to release the pressure. Once I call the company, I was ask to send it back to fix them again or get another set but downgrade to 5 ply with a 1 compensation pot. After receiving my pots I was not happy with new products, my old ones were heavy and new ones are very light with a cheap look. I would never buy from them again. Not sure what to do. In a lawsuit against this company, I would definitively participate. I hope to get my money back, not sure if the would still be possible.

    Hello Veronica,

We apologize for your experience with the 9ply cookware recall. The 5 ply cookware is the same design as the 9 ply, however it is lighter due to the lack of the Thermal Wall and less layers. The thermal wall is what created the problem and the 5 ply does not have that problem. The 5 ply will heat up a little slower than the 9 ply did but it retains the heat, in the first 10 minutes the 5 ply will lose 5 degrees compared to the 9 ply however at 30 minutes the temperatures are the same.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at customercare@hycite.com . If you are having any other issues with your 5ply cookware.

I received them back with rubber plugs in the side of the pans. A couple of times the pans never whistled to signal you to close the value for proper cooking of the food. A week ago, I was warming up soup and the rubber plug blew off, no one was hurt. I called them and they said, "Yes the recall now is to replace the pans with 5 ply set" and pick free item. My wife and I purchased this cookware in 2011. Initially, it worked great, although cleaning it was a bit of a chore from the start. We were also given a "gift" (that's in quotes for a reason) of a salad cutter provided we got the sale person 5 referrals, which we did that night. Over the course of the next 2 years, my wife had more and more complaints about this $1350 set of cookware we had purchased. Then came the recall. We dutifully sent back the cookware and received our merchandise back with a pressure relief valve inserted in each of the pans. Two weeks later, as my grandson was following me into the kitchen, one of the pressure relief plugs blew and shot steaming hot water out, just as my grandson had cleared the stove. 2 seconds earlier and we would have been bringing him to the ER.

I contacted the company and was told there was another recall for the pans for the blowing out of the pressure relief valve. First I had heard of it. I was then told I could either return them for the fix or get a voucher for more Royal Prestige merchandise. How many of you purchase products for this kind of money only to have it go bad, then use the return money to buy more of their product? Who comes up with this? I demanded my full refund and was given to the supervisor of recalls. It was then that I found out that I could only get $1000 back because I had "purchased" the salad cutter, even though I was told verbally that it was free. I was told that I could not return this as it was not part of the recall and I had to provide proof that it was a "gift". Who has proof of a verbal agreement?

After several minutes of vehement argument, he finally agreed to go to his supervisor. After another 5 minute hold, I was told I could return all of the merchandise, including the salad cutter and get a full refund. If you are contacted by their sales people for a demonstration, refuse it! If you have scheduled one, cancel it! This stuff is not worth the money and I'm so glad none of my referrals bought it on my recommendation. I'd sooner go to Target and get the T-Fal garbage they sell. If in fact my grandson had been burned by the relief valve blowout, there would have already been a lawsuit filed, but thankfully, the little guy wasn't hurt. Do not buy these pans.

I bought an entire set of pots, pans and cookware from Royal Prestige back in 2006. Right away, I found myself disappointed with the bakeware. The cookie sheets would warp when they got hot. We had a hard time learning to cook in this cookware because everything burned. We had one pan that we had to return because of a defect and had to go through tons of red tape to get it replaced. Then came the recall... We packed up nearly all the pots and pans we had (all of the 9 ply) and sent it in. After a very long time, we finally get our pans back with some sort of "plug" in them. Water seeped into them and would leak out into my cabinets, into other pans and even "blew out" while I was cooking out of 2 different pans. I never got notice there was another recall. I found out about it after writing a complaint on the RP Facebook page. I have been offered the 5-ply to replace the defective 9-ply and the difference in cost in the form of a RP voucher which should be around $2400. I hate to think I have to spend that much with a company that we have already had this much trouble with. If I could join in on a class action suit, I would be right there with you!!!

Not long ago, about six months, I found out that my boyfriend had previously bought this cookware set. I asked him to bring it down and we'd start using it after hearing all the things the salesperson had told him about them. We started using them right away and LOVE them. You really don't HAVE to use oil, a little spray or water and on the RIGHT temperature you can cook literally anything you want. We have never had a problem with food sticking to these pans; and we have liked all of them. I cook everything from eggs to pasta to meats. I have even gone so far as to "pack" away all our other cookware and only use these.

When the recall happened, we were worried and sent in all cookware that was in the recall; the company paid to fix them and ship them so we were out a single dime. The paperwork that came back with them even stated that if the fix didn't work, send them back and they would send us all new cookware at NO charge. My boyfriend and I found this site talking negative about so many things that I thought I would post our experience for others. These pans do EVERYTHING the salesperson said they would and so much more; I just love them.

Yea, you can go to Walmart or wherever and buy good pans a lot cheaper but why? Every pan I have bought from retail stores eventually loses its "protective" coating and that stuff CAN kill you. Other claims that were talked negatively about were the fact that these pans can help you lose weight... Well, if you aren't having to use oil, and we don't, then yes, they can help you lose the weight. We don't fry anything and these pans have helped us stick to that. Just thought others should know... we love our pans, they do what the salesperson said, they have lasted a good 5 years so far and show almost NO signs of wear. Thank you Royal Prestige for a truly great set of cookware.

The afternoon of Last Saturday, September 7, 2013, I was using the quart deep pot to boil water to prepare some pasta for my kids. I left the pot on the stove waiting for the water to boil for approximately 10 minutes and later as I walked by the stove to walk down to my basement, the lid exploded off the pot shooting hot water towards me.

I was burned on my right arm, the right side of my abdomen and hip. I immediately called for medical assistance and was taken to the ER via ambulance as a trauma case. Currently, I am being treated for 1st degree burns on my arm and hip and 2nd degree burns on my abdomen. I came across this consumer affairs website and read a few of the reviews and learned of the recall. This is very disappointing as it seems that it wouldn't matter if I had replaced the pots since the possibility of this accident occurring with another set of pots is the same.

I plan to post pictures of my injuries on Facebook soon. My hopes are that if there is someone else who was injured like this and can corroborate my experience, I can hopefully feel better knowing that the problem was caused by the cookware. For those who are using them, PLEASE STOP NOW! Everyone else, please DO NOT, DO NOT purchase these products! More to come.

My daughter and son in law got married at Circus Circus in Las Vegas. For a free room, they had to attend a meeting with Royal Prestige. Well, they were sucked into buying a 7 piece classic cooking system for over 2000 dollars. They asked if they made payments, what would the interest be? The guy said he did not know, but it be very low. When the cookware came, all was okay. Then the bill came and they charged them 29% interest rate.

Okay, so it breaks down to this: they make $97.00 dollars payments each month, 42 dollars got to interest. So my math tells me that it is a 40-month contract, when they get done paying it, the cost will be about 3900 dollars. Almost double.

Does anyone know how to get them out of this (yes, a lesson learned by newly-weds)? Do they have to under the law tell you what the interest rate is before you sign? Nowhere on the contract does it say what it was going to be (interest rate). Yes, they say you have 3 days to change your mind, but what good is that if they tell you 10 days later what the real interest is!

Young people, don't fall for Royal Prestige bull and lies. Walk away, and if they try to stop you, just say "Buy it yourself, I will pay for the room." Salt on wound, I am finding them selling the same 7 piece for about 550 dollars. What a rip off.

Trade for 5 ply and receive a credit for the difference or receive a credit to buy other crap that I never wanted in the first place. I didn't dish out 2500 bucks for crap I didn't want. I paid that money for the 9 ply cookware I saw in a demonstration. If I don't get what I paid for then I should get my money back. I am not pleased with the fact that Royal Prestige is lying to its customers and offering us alternatives that are leaving us on the losing end of this problem that is theirs to begin with. I am planning on not only reporting them to the Better Business Bureau but also possibly initiating a class action lawsuit after consulting with my lawyers. In July 2012 I received a recall notice about the Royal Prestige cookware. According to the recall, the cookware needed to be sent back to be fixed due to a possibility of "exploding cookware." I followed the instructions, sent all the cookware back for repair. The cookware was sent back with a vent hole and a plastic piece inserted in it. My wife and I both have used the cookware several times since then. Today (7-17-13) my wife was fixing my 13 month old son lunch, using the cookware, when one of the pans exploded. My son was in the kitchen with my wife when this occurred. Thankfully neither my wife or son was injured. It is evident that the "fix" from Royal Prestige did not fix the problem. My wife and I spent a large amount of money on this cookware 6 years ago. Something needs to be done and consumers need to be made aware of this potential hazard.

We received the recall notice back in February, and have been trying to work with Royal Prestige ever since. At first, we were offered the choice of a repair or a replacement (with an inferior product). We bought the 9-ply, and the "replacement" is a 5-ply set. Once we found out that the supposed repair was actually just a steam vent so that if the product were to fail, it would "fail safely", and when we saw pictures of the repair, we did not want to go that route at all. We really liked the clean look of our pots, but then found out that they were going to have ugly blemishes on them after this repair.

For the replacement, it took several calls, but eventually, we learned that we could also request an additional pot to make up for the lower quality set. We paid over $3,000 for our set of pots and pans, and they think that one additional pot will make up for such a decreased quality? So we really weren't interested in that, either.

Well, the repair is no longer being offered, if you haven't requested it yet. So we thought we were stuck with the lower-quality product. Then we found out that because they're no longer doing repairs, we can also send back our pots and get a credit voucher for Royal Prestige products. Of course, you can't find out the amount of the voucher until you submit the shipping confirmation so that they know the pots are on the way. We have not been assured that we will receive a full credit for what we originally purchased.

If you haven't purchased these and you're considering it, don't. They go by Table Charm and Hy Cite and Dinner 4 Two Royal Prestige. Their customer service has been terrible. They didn't even offer us the extra pan initially, because they're just trying to get away with as little compensation as possible, rather than making sure their customers are satisfied.

The sad thing is that we really did like our original set of pots and pans, but the thought of getting injured while using them doesn't exactly inspire confidence. We're going to ultimately end up with a product that was NOT what we paid for, regardless of which decision we make. Even though they're not able to fulfill their warranty (because they do state in their warranty that they will replace or repair the product, and they're not able to do that), they will not give a refund. It's been a terrible experience, and I'm just so upset that we had these great pots and pans that we can no longer use.

She regrettably did not have her credit card on hand, so I made the first payment. Afterwards, my "friend" declined to make any further payments and the wonderful folks at Royal Prestige decided to charge MY credit card for the balance. I then called them, got their partial English speaking customer service center, and am told, "I'm so sorry, sir, but since we could not contact her, we charged the rest on your card." I would strongly caution anyone to not do business with a company that cares solely about getting paid.

My husband and I regretfully purchased the 10-piece 9-ply cookware set just before we were married in mid-2010. We have been very happy with our pots and pans, albeit $3000 poorer, but happy nonetheless. When we received the recall notice last month, we were very motivated to participate. Then I called the recall hotline. I was astonished by their recall program. There are two options: (1) return your 9-ply and have them repaired. Note: the repair will leave a giant matte grey spot on the side of each piece or (2) return the 9-ply and get the 5-ply set and get a free pan (to cover the fact that you now have 5-ply and not 9-ply).

I have two huge issues with this. If I have to return my pots for repair or replacement, what do I cook with for the estimated 2-6 weeks between shipments? Royal Prestige recommends you do the recall in two steps so that you can continue to cook while the first batch is being repaired or replaced. Problem is the recall notice states explicitly that one should stop using the pots as there is a risk of injury! Is Royal Prestige saying it's okay to cook with or not? Conflicting statements! For the replacement to 5-ply: So I spend $3000 for 10 9-ply pots and now, 2 years later, I have to downgrade to 10 5-ply pots but as compensation I get a free wok? Oh, a wok is like, what, $200 if you buy the highest quality of woks? How does $200 compensate me for 10 pots of lower quality?

So after speaking with three different managers who stood firm on the options mentioned above, I decide to go with the replacement option. They promise me a 72-hour turnaround for UPS to pick up all the pots. Five days later, my pots are sitting waiting to be picked up. I called Royal Prestige/Hy-Cite recall hotline and asked, "What's up?" Apparently, they are backlogged - a piece of information they neglected to say a week prior. After speaking with a manager (again), they are shipping new pots as priority shipment with a return label for me to go to UPS and ship them myself.

Although I was initially satisfied with the quality of my 9-ply pots, I am disappointed I have to downgrade and essentially lose out on a lot of money. A wok is not sufficient compensation for a downgrade and all the time I've had to spend on this issue, not to mention I haven't had any pots and pans to cook with since last month.

We bought a 1 1/2 quart Royal Prestige 5 ply exhaust pan at an RV Show in February under the impression that this was healthy cooking, claimed by the representative. When we started to cook with the pot, we found that the rubber under the exhaust heated and gave off fumes and a bad rubberized taste. We felt this could be potentially harmful to our health. We have tried in vain to reach our representative and then Hy Cite Customer for Royal Prestige, with a request to exchange the product for the Salad Machine (a product that does not have what appears to be a defective rubberized exhaust).

One representative insisted that we continue to try to contact our representative. Otherwise, we have to pay for a UPS return without refund. We could only get, in return, the same product, a 1 1/2 quart product. And since then, I have just reached a machine on the customer service end. So we are left with a $258.94 1 1/2 qt. Royal Prestige 5 ply pot that gives off fumes and a bad taste to the food. I really question the material that Royal Prestige uses that has contact with our food especially when the company claims its cookware is for healthful cooking. That is why we spent so much money on this pot, almost $300. We will try to continue to reach Royal Prestige for better answers and service.

Where to even start? The freebies that you are promised aren't free. The flutes cost, the coupons cost, the rings cost, the trip costs. For newlywed couples who have busy lives don't have hours to spare every night learning how to cook on these pots and pans without burning their food, the 3-day return policy is a joke when you don't even have the pots and pans until weeks after. The customer service people are absolutely rude. I have never been so disrespected by a company in my life. The interest rate isn't talked about until you get the bill and out of a $60 payment because of interest. Only $30 is going to pay for the pots and pans, which is going to take years to pay off.

I recently got engaged. Like every normal girl, I went dress shopping. I went to my local David’s Bridal and gave them my email address for information on sales and general information regarding distributors and information about their "trusted and recommended" partners.

A few months went by and I was contacted by Royal Prestige of Missouri. I was told that I had won a gift package that included cookware items, an apron, engraved champagne flutes, a membership to a coupon site, the choice of his and her wedding bands, or a 3 day/2 night trip to either the Bahamas, Mexico or the Dominican Republic. In addition to those items, I would receive an entry into two sweepstakes - one for a "dream honeymoon" to Paris, all inclusive with airfare and spending money; and one for a new Harley Davidson 880 Sportster. The woman who contacted me made it sound like it was a cooking class for newly engaged couples so I had assumed that we would be preparing a meal together as a group and at the end, there would be the option of buying additional items if we liked the items. I thought this was a great opportunity and was really excited. Our time was set up and all we had to do was show up.

Our day shows up and the hotel that it was located was about 30 minutes away from my house, which I had no problem with. The presentation was supposed to start at 730, and we were told to show up approximately 10 minutes early and that it would be 90 minutes long. We arrived and went to the meeting room. We were asked to sit down, fill out a survey about what kinds of cookware we have used/heard of and asked general questions about cooking and health. There were pots and pans set out on tables, and there is a cooler of food sitting on the side of the tables. I’m still under the impression that this is a cooking experience. While waiting for the other couples to arrive, a corny video was put on and it had blooper reels from America’s Funniest Weddings.

When all of the couples finally arrived, it was about 750. When we got started, the man was extremely loud and stared by asking all the couples about what kind of pots and pans they use - non-stick, cast iron, aluminum, stainless, etc. The host then proceeded to tell us that we should use nothing but stainless steel because everything else is unhealthy, hard to clean or something. He then spelled out what we "won". The cookware items were non-existent. The apron was either a choice of a frilly black and red polka dot or a plain black with a very large emblem. The free champagne flutes were not free; you have to pay shipping and handling for $20. The free wedding bands were not free either as you have to pay a $25 fee for shipping per ring you order. The trip was free, but you have to pay for airfare which is the most expensive part.

While I was a little ticked off that I had traveled 30 minutes to go to this, I figured I would sit through it since I was already there. The salesman then informed us that he was paying us for our time by giving us these "free gifts". If anyone wanted to use their cell phone, they knew where the door was and they could leave now. After listening to his spiel about how great the cookware was, he then proceeded to say that the reason America is fat, unhealthy and has such a young average age for heart attacks was because women don't make three meals a day for their family anymore. He then continued by saying that by buying the cookware, it would get rid of all disease, cancers and health problems. I took extreme offense to this since I have a terminal nerve disease.

He continued even more by saying that he wasn't concerned if he offended anyone because he wasn't going to sugar coat the truth for anyone. This man, who supposedly has owned this cookware for 15+ years and swears by it, is overweight and preaching to the entire group about how it’s the wives fault for letting their families go out to eat and not making meals for them. He said, and I quote, "I'm not saying that you women have to quit your jobs or anything because I'm all for women working. And I know that no one can have a one-income family anymore but instead of just being “oh-well-I'm-too-tired-to-cook” and ordering something that comes in a cardboard box, you can use this cookware and actually make food that is healthy for your family and doesn't make them fat." He then wanders off on a tangent about the necessity of making your own baby food. He doesn't understand how parents can just buy the crap off the shelves that is packed with sugar and chemicals; people who do that are just bad parents.

When 9pm finally rolled around, he started to close his speech up. He tells everyone that we were specially chosen and that he knows we can afford this cookware. He draws out this story about how much it would cost if his cookware was in a store like Macy's; that it would be approximately be $9,000 (he stated that this figure came from like 20 years ago when the company was approached by them to be a distributor and that now, it would be almost a $25,000 set). He then writes out the special price for his knife set at $2,000 and the even more special price for the pan set at $2499.90. He does some dramatics and says that if we buy the pan set today, we can receive either the knife set or a set of baking items for free. He breaks it all down and is like, "It's only $23-$27 per week. You spend that in one restaurant outing for unhealthy foods. And if that is too much for you to pay, then you can just purchase the pan set. I will give my special discount of $500 off."

He continues even more and it’s now about 930. “I know that most of you are paying for your own wedding, and I know how expensive that can be. You can pay for this set any way you want - in full now, by cash, credit or debit, or you can make a payment plan. When you get all your wedding money, you can pay it off. It’s not like you're really going to get anything but a bunch of crappy blenders and Wal-Mart grade appliances. You need this cookware." He finally closes off the presentation and asks us to give him about 10 minutes to put together our "gifts" and just sit at tables in the back of the room. My fiancé and I were disgusted with how this man has acted, and there is no way that we are going to be purchasing anything from this man. He sits with one couple; they decline to buy anything. He gets up huffily, gets the apron and pile of fliers for the "gifts" and sends them on their way.

He moves to the second couple and the groom told him that he didn’t want to purchase the set now; they want to wait until after their wedding. They are getting married very shortly and can’t shell out X amount of money right now. He tells them that they are here by invitation only and if they don’t purchase it tonight, there will not be another chance to buy it because they don’t sell over the phone, online or through any stores. He continues to tell them that if they don’t buy it, they will not be contacted. If they attempt to buy it by putting a request in with the company, they will not receive any kind of response because this is a one and only one time offer. The couple leaves and he moves onto myself and my fiancé.

When he started speaking to us, he was really quite rude. "Any questions? Are you going take it?" We passed since we were registered for cookware already. He sighs, rolls his eyes and goes, "Which apron? Rings or Trip? Sign on my X since you just don’t want our product." He then slides the paperwork across the table while getting up to get the apron. He brings it back and shoves the apron along with the "gift" certificates to me and walks off to the next couple. As we walk out, the receptionist at the front desk asks me how it was and I responded with terrible. She then says, "Yeah, he’s here a lot and normally, everyone is pissed off when they leave. I’m sorry that it wasn’t what they told you."

This is a scam. The only "free" thing that is involved with this is your time. This man was disrespectful, made outlandish claims and was all around rude. Also, there is a consumer reports recall on 1.7 million pieces of their cookware.

So now, I called the vendor and I asked him. He said that the product was not mine. I called Hy Cite and they confirmed to me that all four products are mine and I paid for them and asked me, "Why after 3 years?" I told them, "Because the vendor told me to call him if I had any doubt and to not listen to my neighbors since the specials are different so I trusted him." The vendor said he returned the product to the company.

If it was true, why is Hy Cite Corporation telling me I should have had all products listed in the Order details? Vendor has told me he is coming to resolve the problem but he keeps putting it off for the next day. I sent him emails and called him and he offended me saying that if I don't understand Spanish that he has told me he will be at my house knowing that my native tongue is Spanish. I tried calling my neighbors' Vendor and I asked him. He said that if I did not order the fourth product, then it's not mine. What?!

I'm still asking, "So if I paid for all four even if I didn't order the fourth product, isn't it still my right to have my product?" The Vendor did not give me a copy of the sheet that he made but I have my Hy Cite account of the order details what I should have received. Hy Cite told me that they wrote down my complaint but that the Vendor has to resolve it before they do but it seems too much of a wait. Vendor keeps on setting different days and he is not showing up to solve this. I also have a product that has not been resolved by him that he needs to come and check the yellow and black spot that I can't wash off my product and I have tried everything he has told me to do and bought for the spot.

She told me exactly the same thing that they cannot do anything because they don't make spare parts, and since the product is out of warranty, the only thing they can do is offer me to purchase the new juice extractor at cost, which is $289. So, just what the heck happens when this new machine also goes out of warranty? I'll tell you what happens: another $289 down the toilet! Just what kind of company decides not to produce spare parts for the future when their product starts to wear off?

I am very, very, very disappointed to be stuck with a $500 juice extractor and that my $500 investment went through the toilet. This is so outrageous and misleading because at the time I made the purchase, the Royal Prestige representative said that Hycite would stand for their product. The only thing they stood for is the fact they don't make spare parts. I will never purchase anything from Royal Prestige again, and I would not recommend anybody doing business with this company. Their product is too expensive and the fact that it could become completely useless after warranty is not worth the cost.

As many others, I have been misled by the Royal Prestige Company. I bought $2,500 worth of pots, pans, knives, and a juicer. I was not aware of the 24% interest rate until it was too late. I also made a late payment which I paid off and it also included an extra payment ($525.00) for the following month. I made numerous payments but somehow I still owed over $2,000.00. While I was looking for a home to purchase, I found out that my credit showed 3 negatives when I should have had only 1. The 2 negatives were from Royal Prestige Hy Cite. I called Royal Prestige and told them of the mistake and they told me that it would be removed within a month’s time. That never happened and I stopped making the payments.

When I spoke to the representative, I told them that I was done. They constantly call and leave messages at 7 in the morning telling me and my wife that if we don't work out a payment, they will send the information to the credit bureau. They already did. Now today, I got a call and was told that I will be getting a visit from the Sheriff department and to turn in any belongings they feel fit to confiscate. They gave me an attorney’s number and case number so that I may call. When I called, I was told that my guard card and my wife's pharmacy tech licenses have been cancelled and that now we have committed fraud due to not paying. Royal Prestige is a Royal Pain and they have sales representatives that are con artists working for them.

Very bad business ethics - Some of their products are good but not nearly worth what they are sold for. Most of the price of the product goes to the person that sold it to you and to advertising. Only about 20% of the total price is product; so if you bought the 8 piece set for $2,100, the pots are only worth around $400. I know because I’ve been to one of the meetings they have for distributors. They also use high pressure sales techniques that are unfair to use on people making a decision.

I let her talk to me; she gave me a claim number that I had to use when I go to the show to pick up my gifts. That was the stipulation: I attend a "show" and I will, under no obligation to buy anything, receive my gifts. I did my research and they are under a company called Royal Prestige (also known as Dinner4two; they all have such bad reviews).

I’m not even going to the show because the horrible reviews outweigh the good and I'm not wasting my time or gas to go to something where I’m not buying or don’t need anything (pots or pans). Please do not fall for this scam, young couples, as I almost did had I not done my research. And in case you’re wondering how they got your information, apparently David's Bridal is selling it because 11 of the ladies in my office who got the call signed up with David's Bridal. If you look the DB's private policy, it states that they will use your information to whom they deem appropriate or something like that. I'm pissed and will not use DB ever again if I can help it.

Do not make decisions in haste. This is exactly what Hy Cite/Royal Prestige tries to get you to do. My fiance and I bought a set of pots and pans during a seminar 5 months ago where the presenter made cooking with them look oh-so-easy. First, it is not easy to work with the pots and pans. They come with a DVD of instructions, and I've cooked while watching the DVD, going step by step, and the food still does not turn out the way it's "supposed" to. I have yet to cook a steak without drying it out or anything at all without the pots turning brown, which means they have to be polished after every use. Second, I've called to see what I could have done with lowering the price or returning them as I was not satisfied. But they will not consider anything.

Lastly, I am not happy about the finance rate. The day we purchased them, I specifically asked the presenter about the finance rate, and he said it is included in the $1,900. That sounded odd, so I asked again and was assured $1,900 is the total price we would be paying. Guess what happens when we receive the bills? You got it; they're tacking on interest! We pay $80/month, and they add another $35 of interest to the next bill. Somehow, by the time we are done paying for these, I don't think we will have paid only $1,900 for these ridiculous pots and pans.

On the one hand, they don't require as much oil and they are more healthy than other pots and pans lined with plastic, but what good are they if they are difficult to use and we'd rather not cook because of them? Bottom line is don't buy them if you don't want to spend the time learning how to use them and polishing them. Also, don't buy them if you have to finance; otherwise, you'll spend way too much for them. Buy them if you have the money up front.

During this time, our finances were tight, and we had to make cuts where we could. For two months, we could not make our payments. Now, we make the payment each month, but we have not been able to catch up on what was previously unpaid. So each month, they send us texts, emails, phone calls, and contact both of our parents as well. They tell us that it will be marked as a bad debt, and go to court.

I have tried explaining what happened, and we are trying to get back on track, a different way. I was told that there was no other option. They have now sent us a message on Facebook about it as well. I still pay each month. I still want to do what I can. I just feel that they have harassed me and my family more than necessary, for being only two months behind. Maybe what they are doing is legal, but it is certainly not ethical.

All we had to do is attend a presentation, and there's no need to buy anything! Boy, were we taken for a ride. The presentation was supposed to only take 1.5 hours. We were brainwashed for 2 hours straight, then the rep cooked a small piece of chicken and some veggies, and voila! Then, they started to throw numbers around, and lo and behold, it is our lucky day! We can save so much money, if we buy the cookware now. I felt it was a scam, in my gut. They are very good at what they do, and they put so much pressure, and throw things at you, and make you feel guilty about your current eating habits, in one word, disgusting.

We got fooled into signing a contract with them. As soon as we stepped out, we went to my fiance's work, which was conveniently right across the street, and Googles reviews. Wow! What a scam! These people should be ashamed of themselves, for feeding on young couples, who already are in the hole for the wedding expenses, or older people who cannot really afford this. To make the long story short, we did not waste any time. We went back and cancelled our contact right away, but now, I am fighting to get the $377 that we paid as deposit. So far, I am angry and frustrated. If I could afford legal action, I would take these people to the cleaners.

What we all should do, is place complaints with the Better Business Bureau. They are so proudly waving this in our faces, that they only have 6 complaints, and all 6 are resolved. Well, we should stop wasting our time, and hit them where it hurts. I am also contemplating contacting the media about this. This has got to stop. Regarding all their gifts? We got nothing! The ones they gave are those where you have to send a money order for $100, and for $50, to even open the file with some unknown travel company, that is probably also gonna take your money and disappear.

The caller described the prizes I could get for attending the show and that no purchase was necessary. My fiance and I attended the cooking demonstration with hesitation that the experience may be too good to be true and we both agreed we would not make any purchases. We entered the room and were greeted by a very polite demonstrator. He was friendly and easy going. The demonstrator started cooking then began telling us about Royal Prestige Cookware. After the food was done, he served us up a really good lunch cooked in the cookware being presented.

At the end of the presentation, the demonstrator showed us a sheet of different packages which were offered only that day. He was not pushy nor did he try any scare factors with us. We think the cookware is very high end and we would like to purchase some possibly after the wedding (when we have more money). We received our free all inclusive trip, two wedding bands and crystal stem ware. Although there is minimal costs for the rings ($50 for the pair) and stem ware ($19.99), it is still a better deal than if we bought those products without the coupons/gift cards.

We are satisfied overall with the demonstration, the demonstrator and the gifts. We knew we were attending a demonstration, so there were no hidden surprises. Many of the bad comments/ratings being posted seem to come from those people who may be impulsive buyers or who may be easily persuaded. It seems that once they actually thought about their purchase and realized they couldn't afford the pans they are upset at their choice to buy and are now blaming their choices on the company. I think people need to be accountable for their actions/purchases.

I happened to receive a call from this company as well this past Friday, letting me know my fiance and I had won some things and that we'd need to attend a demonstration to redeem them, etc. Being the naturally skeptical person that I am, I googled the company and was subjected to multitudes of reviews; some reviews were good, others were bad. My fiance and I decided that we'd go anyway since we had nothing better to do and it would get us out of the house for awhile.

When we got there and sat through the presentation, we were pleasantly surprised. We had expected a hard sell, because face it, these people are trying to make money by selling these products. However, the two presenters were quite nice and we were never berated for our choice not to buy the cookware. In fact, when we explained our financial situation, the presenter said he understood and gave us the catalog to look through later. Then he gave us time to discuss the prizes and I was quite pleased with what we got. We chose the option to get two free rings and as soon as I got home, I tested out the gift card they had given us and it worked. The rings are coming from a site that several people I know have ordered from so I know the rings are of a good quality. All in all, I'd go to another presentation if asked to do so as I enjoyed it.

Now reading most of the complaints, it seems like it boils down to people being pressured into saying "yes" and then not reading their contracts and there seems to be very little personal responsibility in the complaints. I'm going to assume that most of the people writing these complaints are over 18 so please be an adult and take responsibility for your own actions. This company will take no for an answer if you keep saying it. Being a newly engaged couple is no excuse to not read contracts thoroughly.

In conclusion, I was very happy with the presentation and while I cannot afford the cookware, my mother is looking at buying some to update her old pots and pans.

I love the Royal Prestige cookware and knives that I bought at a demonstration. My fiancee and I were invited to the demonstration, told we'd "won a trip" or something. Of course, it's obviously a promotion to get you in. You can't expect a for-profit company to just give you stuff. So, I went in knowing it was a sales pitch. I think the difference between me and many of the other couples with complaints here is that I was already in the market for an excellent set of knives and cookware. I cook all the time. I love to do it and I wanted great tools to do it with.

If you try to hard-sell expensive pots and pans to someone who can't appreciate what they're buying, they will definitely be remorseful. I think RP products make the best sense for newlywed couples because of the 50 year warranty on their products, but I also think that newlyweds tend to be inexperienced with being sold stuff, bargaining, and so on. I was able to negotiate an extra colander, normally a $75 piece, to be included.

I recently made another purchase from Royal Prestige. I am now a "preferred customer" because I've been paying on time and ahead. The discounts are pretty steep once you reach this status. Also, once you find a good sales rep, he can help you if you help him. Remember, these folks are doing this for a living. Keep that in mind anytime someone tries to sell you something. This is how they feed their families. They are people too.

If you take the time to watch the DVD to learn how to use the cookware properly and give it a good effort, they really are the best pans I've ever used. And the knives, oh, I could go on and on about the quality of the knives. My neighbor has Wsthof, (a very high quality in-store brand), and these RP knives kick the crap out of the Wsthofs. To summarize, newly weds are really the perfect market to maximize a purchase of high quality cookware but they are also the least likely to fully appreciate it right away. This is unfortunate for RP and for the newlyweds.

It does exactly what they tell you it will do. The only time food sticks, or gets messed up, is when you have the heat too high, lower is better. We will give a set of pans and knives to each of our 5 children for wedding gifts, so they too can feed their family food that is cooked the way it should be, and tastes like it should with nothing additional from the pans in it. One of our sons asked when he was 12, if he could have the knife set when we died! If you are having problems cooking with these pans, it does require a whole different way of looking at the cooking process. We too had to learn how to cook with them, but is worth the time to learn. We love Royal Prestige.

And for the demo also, they didn't come. I need an action to be taken immediately because due to this type of store, a good company name is getting spoiled. Waiting for a good response.

I was aware and I knew interest and late fees were going to be added which I had no problem with.

I noticed my bill wasn't going down it was actually going up so I talked to a representative and she told me what I owed all together I said fine. One week, I made a payment of $35.00 and I wrote my balance down, I checked it the next week the balance only went down $7.00. I called the representative (Darlene) and I asked her why my bill only went down $7.00 and she said interest when she clearly told me my total balance. I asked her what happen to the other $28.00 she had no words. Now this ** claiming she never told me that when I asked her 3 times is that my total balance. I heard her and my wife heard her also. Can I rate it less than 1 star? We received our 10 piece cookware set back in March, and overall, I was happy with it. In October, I was contacted by a salesman named Kevin who told me that I could have the rest of the knife set and the block to put them in for only around $5 more per month, and I would not have to make any payments until January. He said that I was a preferred customer and he could see that I had made a double payment in September. I told him that I had made a double payment because since we had moved to Colorado from Memphis, TN in August our August payment was late. He told me I should receive my knives in 2-3 weeks and to disregard any bills I got in the mail. I never received any knives, but I did receive a bill. The bill did not reflect the increase on it. I called Kevin on 11/18 and got no answer.

I called him again on 11/21 and spoke to him. He promised me that he would find out what the problem was and would call me back within 24 hours. He never called me back. I called him again on 11/22 and left a message. I called him again on 11/23 and left several messages. I finally called the billing number on my bill (which was due on 11/21) and was given another number to speak to, Tony. I called the number and spoke to his assistant. She assured me that she would take care of things and find out what was going on. Since I was on my way in to work, I made arrangements with her to call her back on my lunch hour. She assured me that she would have an answer for me by then. I called 3 times on my lunch hour and left 2 messages because I got no answer. I also called Kevin and got no answer.

After I got off work, I called again and spoke to Tony who told me that I was never eligible for the deal that Kevin offered me because I was late on a payment. I told him that Kevin knew that I had been late and should never have offered me the deal. Tony was very insulting and made it sound like I never paid my bills on time. I told him that this was only the second time I had been late and it was because I was under the impression that I did not have to pay the bill this month. I told him that I did not care about the knives, I just thought that I should not be held responsible for the late charges. Tony told me that it was not his fault that customer service didn't call me and explain the situation to me and that I would have to pay the late charges.

I told him to cancel the knife order and he actually started laughing at me and told me that the order was already canceled because it was only for preferred customers and I was not a preferred customer. I told Tony never to have any of his salesmen to call me again and that I would not recommend them to anyone ever again and hung up the phone. I then called Kevin (who still didn't answer) and left a message asking him to never call me again that I would no longer be doing business with them. I also told him that I blamed him for the late charges I was now responsible for. Almost exactly an hour later, Kevin's phone dialed me and Kevin was in the background very drunk with a few other guys cursing and being very vulgar and talking very sexual about women. After a few minutes I hung up.

Like most others, my fiance and I entered a ballot at dinner-4-two's table at the Cambridge Wedding Dreams Bridal Show, and a few weeks later received a call from them stating we'd won. No cost to us, we had our choice of either two different trips or gift card for rings. All we had to do to collect was attend one of their sales presentations. Total scam!

Table Charm would present safe healthy cookware. There were scare tactics of bad fumes, dead birds and promises of saving lots of money long term and cooking so much better. Table Charms has a 50-year warranty covering everything. The video showed them shoving a half-table of food into the garbage and someone cooking in old/other pots rushed in ambulance to the hospital!

Well, flip a pot and, lo and behold, Royal Prestige pots, Table Charm's. There were more offers of free trips on Carnival Cruises if you spend massive amounts of money buying their 10 piece sets. We were told there were different rates available, and if we financed, even we would get a 2% interest rate per month which equals 24%. Other complaints have pegged they do. When we didn't buy we were told. Okay fine, go get the free stuff and good night. A check of the free stuff showed the vacation takes a $100 refundable cheque to even try and book. Funny but free doesn't mean me paying $100.00.

The rings through JVR were supposed to be a free gift card. We got there and it's pay $25.00 per ring for shipping and handling. Not so free again. Better yet read the back of the gift card! It's $50.00 per shipping if you are not in the USA! $100.00 to ship. They can't even tell a good scam lie because they don't even know it's $50.00 right on the back of what they hand out!

    To whom it may concern,

In April of 2011, my son and his fiance attended a presentation for your Royal Prestige cookware, after receiving notice from David's Bridal in N.H. that they had won
some FREE gifts provided they attend a cookware presentation, i.e. FREE vacations, FREE rings, FREE stemware, etc
I drove them to this presentation, and upon arrival was informed that since I was not a "winner" I could not be present for the "show", but was welcome to return when they were finished.

Initially I thought this strange, but in hindsight, I fully understand the reasons.

I waited in the parking lot during this time and then received a call from my son saying it was done, and I could come back up to the room.
We were then seated at a table where the demonstrator began to explain financing options.
Since my son and his fiance were not able to provide a credit card for the down payment, I was asked if I would be willing to assist them in getting the cookware and

    knives they were interested in.

I explained that if I were to do this, I needed to know exactly what the payments would be, etc etc if I was going to use my credit to do this for them.
I was told the payment would be in the $60 - $65 dollar range.
I told him I thought we should take a day or two to consider this, and was promptly told that this was a ONE TIME ONLY deal. Now or never !

While I felt very pressured to make a decision right then and there, I decided I would go ahead, based on what information I was given regarding the payment amount.

I was NOT told at the time, about the 3 day cancellation, or that the interest rate would be sky high and bring the payment up to $86. Quite a bit more than we had discussed at the time of the demonstration and signing. When I received the first statement I was shocked to say the least.

This then prompted me to go to the internet and do some research on your company. I was appalled by the number of negative consumer complaints I found about your company and the people who sell these products.

The very same selling practices you have been penalized for in other states, are the exact same tactics your demonstrator used to "sell" these products to my son and fiance.

Telling them how dangerous other cookware is, and how hazardous it is to their health. He even went so far as to cite "studies" and "reports" from health organizations to further project his claims.

I am now painfully aware of "why" this demonstrator did not want any extra bodies present at the time of his carefully crafted "show". He had in front of him a small group of young, excited, soon to be married couples, and most certainly did not want some middle aged survivor of common cookware in the room to ask questions or dispute the "lies" he was prepared to tell these happy couples about the unsafe cookware they were using. Had I been present, I would have walked out and taken my son and fiance with me. It was a sham from start to finish.

After further inspection of the so-called FREE gifts, it was discovered that all these FREE gifts came with additional costs, that make them not so FREE after all.

In fact not one of the gifts is FREE. Not the rings, not the stemware, and most certainly not the vacations. I have cruised numerous times with Carnival Cruise Lines for what they were going to be charged in fees alone.

I have been staring at these unused pans and knives on my counter and feeling more and more ripped off with each passing day. I have made payments to date, as I was not sure what my next steps would be. I find everything about your company appalling and I am disgusted by the way you target your customers.

So here's what I'm going to do. I am sending a similar letter to David's Bridal corporate and have begun the steps of filing a complaint against your company with the New Hampshire Attorney Generals Office, as well as Massachusetts. I am also prepared to begin my own legal action against you, and if for no other reason than to shed light on what you do and how you do it.

I have several people on board with me who are equally disgusted, and are eagerly waiting to help me champion a campaign to bring awareness. This will come in the form of as many legal ways as we can come up with, to let as many people as we can reach know, to NOT do business with you.

While I am slightly willing to accept the notion that not all of your associates practice these methods of selling, one doing so and getting away with it, is enough to give you and your company a bad name.

I thought I was getting a good deal--pots and pans that didn't stick with a 50-year warranty along with a free knife set. The knife set wasn't complete (I got a few knives to put in the block but still had half of it missing). I figured it's no big deal and that I can buy the rest later since they were free. Well, the knives turned out to be dull. Also, they never sent a knife sharpener along with the set, but they had a spot for it in the block. So I ended up with dull knives.

Well, I tried cooking in the 10" skillet some chicken for dinner, and the chicken stuck all over the skillet. It was a big mess, and when I lifted the lid on the skillet with the whistle open, it never whistled like it did at the show. All it was doing was burning my chicken. Then I tried boiling water in the pot to make mash potatoes, and the water took like 30 to 45 minutes to boil. My chicken was almost done by the time the water was boiling.

So I called the place in Des Moines to ask about the return policy (since they never informed at the show), since I didn't like it. They said they don't take them back or give money back. They don't have a return policy and that I was probably cooking on it the wrong way. They said to put some water in the skillet to see if the whistle was working first and it did. I put in on medium heat, and it started whistling after 5 minutes. So that was fine.

Then he said I probably didn't cook it on high enough heat that's why the chicken stuck to the skillet. (But at first before I said anything about the whistle not working, he said I was cooking on too high a heat.) And about my water not boiling, he said when he cooks with it, it boils in 10 minutes for him and that it shouldn't take that long. So I said, "I will try it one more time, and if it doesn't work, I will be calling back." He said they would send someone out to show me how to use it. (**, I know how to cook; I don't need anyone showing me how.)

Well, I used it again tonight, and put it on medium heat as told. Then I got a house full of smoke, burnt meat, and a longer time to clean the mess. My house was full of smoke you would think there was a fire going on. So I will be calling again tomorrow. I want my money back, and they can have everything they have sent me back. I will gladly pay shipping to get my money back. It has only been 2 weeks, since I've had the pots and pans and knife set. I was assuming they would have a 30-day or 90-day trial but was very upset to hear there's no return policy.... Ugh...

The manager/ professional tradesman capable to sharpen this set was amazed at how great these knives were - light, comfortable and although, it looked like a basic French/European knife, it had the blade of a fine Asian design. During the presentation, the representative made the cookware sound amazing, but never actually used it to cook like I was told he will. That should have been enough to realize something was wrong, but I was dumb and pregnant; the thought of making my own safe baby food clouded my judgment.

We financed an 8 piece set, but in the order form, the representative marked 7 pieces. I said it was an order form error, but we would get 4 pots and lids. We also got the bake ware set that was said to never warp. When we got home, I researched in Google; I found all the negative reviews. We canceled the card we used as a deposit, hoping they wouldn't send us the cookware. The contract stated we had to cancel via courier, and we would be charged $75. It had to be done within three days.

They don't take into account Saturdays or Sundays, so it was too late to cancel. Our cookware arrived, and I had read a positive review for every ten that were negative, so we tried them out. The cookie sheets warped almost instantly. The pots didn't whistle, as we were told. We only received 4 pots and 3 lids, and they didn't cook our food in the short time the representative told us that they will. In fact, it took almost 2 hours to cook potatoes. I called to complain, and I was told they don't do refunds of any kind, and they would only replace the cook ware with more ** cook ware.

The company’s lawyer called and harassed us for months, including calling my husband’s military job. I point out to the salesperson that the pots didn't have the Table Charm brand on it and what was the reason. He then revealed that it's because they are not the ones making it. They are only distributors. However, when my fiancé showed him that there is a different logo on the cookware which says Royal Prestige, he said, “Oh yeah, Royal Prestige is the manufacturer”.

For some reason, he was reluctant to say that from the beginning that the cookware is not from Table Charm and it's actually from Royal Prestige. As a nurse and consumer, I know the dangers of unscrupulous manufacturers who use cheaper ingredients/alloys. Out of courtesy, I first emailed the man who sold me this stuff in the last week of October and have had no response. Yes, I checked my spam mail as well. Also, since I did an in-house finance agreement, they have all my other contact information.

Today is Sunday and there is no one there. Many of the customer service numbers I received with the product are not working numbers. I really had to seek and find a good number. Their website is also down today. I would appreciate any feedback and assistance. I will keep trying their customer service tomorrow. I want to return the product after two weeks.

Please accept my apologies if the person reading this is of Chinese-descent, however, the laws of the US are the laws of the US. Thank you.

This is a ripoff! The pots cook good for me but the free vacation was not true at all. They told us that we had to mail in the coupon within 90 days before we wanted to go. I mailed it in and it came back saying that it couldn't be sent! Now the finance company is sending me the bill on the first of the month and at the end of the month! I called them to ask about the bill and they made me feel like I didn't pay my bill on time. When I asked to talk to the manager, it sounded like he was on a cell phone.

Whilst cooking my family’s Sunday roast, I heated the oil in the roasting tin as I do every week, when I turned the potatoes. The enamel had come off and on the potatoes, not one was untouched with the enamel. I felt they were unsafe to eat so I had to throw them away. Unfortunately, our Sunday roast was ruined. I have always used Prestige and have never had any problems with your products, which is probably why I was very shocked that this happened.

I was promised information about possible vacation opportunities just for showing up at this silly sales pitch (that took 2 and a half hours) and was refused the information when we had to leave and couldn't wait another hour to sit and talk to the guy. I was also promised two entries for a free Harley Davidson, again, just for showing up and listening. I was done in an insulting way and should be charged for false advertising. We sat and participated for over 2 hours and were fed approximately 6 bites of chicken (for the both of us to share) and a small service of some paper-thin carrots. We had to eat it with our fingers.

I have had a wonderful experience with this company. I had a valve break on a few pots that I had for 23 years last month. They said they couldn't replace them since the style had changed, but if I send the whole set back they would give me new ones and they did. They stand behind their products and they work as they say they do!

Same as these stories. We did not know of any "allowed cancel times". We have been paying for this product for 3+ years now. $3300 is a lot of money. We have $1000 left to pay, 24% interest. They call often for money. Granted they have lowered the payment to ease the stress. In the end we did not get what we thought we got. We did not take the vacation. Our stories are just like the ones in the link - https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2005/royal_prestige.html. $3300? Half of that amount would get us three times the amount of product at sears. And it would have worked just as well.

I'll try to make this as brief as possible but I feel that it's necessary to share my story with other potential consumers of this company. My fiancé and I received a phone call a month after attending a bridal show in Springfield, MO. We were told we received $600 worth of his/her wedding bands for free, a $1,000 grocery card, a 3-day, 2-night stay at an all inclusive Windham Resort in either the Bahamas, Mexico or the Dominican Republic and the chance to be entered into a drawing for a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

To claim our prizes, we had to attend a cooking demonstration and presentation of some cookware. Since we had previously attended a Celebrity China demonstration very similar to this a month prior, we thought it wouldn't hurt. Well, luckily it didn't but that's because we were smart. Of course, the sales representatives who, come to think of it, never even introduced themselves during the performance did a great job selling their pitch. Everything they tell you makes you desperately want to own their product.

The main salesman was very interactive, making the audience laughs through his whole performance, thereby captivating the audience and making everyone feel as though they could trust him. Believe me, these people are great at sales pitches! Somehow my fiancé and I convinced ourselves that we could make the $42 monthly payments work especially because they offered a student rate. We came home and I decided to call my mom. I told her all the perks of the cookware that were demonstrated before revealing to her how much we had agreed to pay.

The original price was $2,099 for the 13-piece large cookware set. After we had agreed to the transaction and had started signing papers, the salesman added that there were over $350 in taxes and shipping fees. Of course, they also failed to mention the $375 deposit that was due immediately. Even though they offered to postdate the check one month, it was still something they failed to mention through the entire presentation. I hesitated but then agreed to charge it to my credit card which is my mistake! My mom told me that I should have done more research on the company before making such a huge investment.

So, while talking to her, I Googled Royal Prestige. The second topic list under that heading was ‘royal prestige cookware scam’. I felt sick! After reading lists and lists of horror stories, I decided I needed to make a run for it. The paperwork does say that you have three days to cancel your transaction but I wasn't so sure this would be taken care of effectively over the phone. Since another presentation was taking place after ours, I talked to my fiancé into going back to the hotel with me. We waited in the lobby to speak with the salesman. Before the next presentation was over, the assistant stepped out to open the door. He spotted us and asked what was going on.

I explained that I had changed my mind and wanted to back out of the contract. I explained my mom's warning and the fact that I had found such terrible warnings from previous customers online. Just take a look for yourself and you'll find exactly what I'm talking about. I made the special trip back so that I could get all of the paperwork we had signed, including documents that had my credit card information and my fiancé’s and my social security number which, by the way, they shouldn't have needed anyway.

The assistant asked if we brought back the folder we had been given. I said no, but I had my receipt. He said that he couldn't take care of anything unless I had the folder. So, my fiancé drove back home to get it. Luckily, we just lived up the road but the salesman took complete advantage of the few minutes that my fiancé was gone. He sat down at the table where I was sitting and said, "So, you realize now that I can call you a pink hippo and him a blue elephant and write it all over the internet and people will believe it?” I was taken aback at first so I laughed a little and he said, "Because obviously you believe everything you see on the internet so other people will probably do the same.” I tried to explain that you just can't trust something like this when they don't have a store you can physically walk in to if you have problems.

He proceeded to make arguments about how I had faith in the product before so I shouldn't have any reason to change my mind just because of the internet. I felt very uncomfortable! Before my fiancé had time to make it back, the salesman had one of the forms in his hand and he said "You know I can't do anything with this one until he gets back with the folder, anyway, so I'll just get rid of it.” I immediately asked, "Can I throw it away then?” He said, "Oh, I've got it.” I persisted asking if it contained my credit card information. As it turned out, it did! He was hiding it under the folded part of the form. He stumbled around with his words and then said "Oh, that's right I completely forgot.” Fortunately, he agreed to give it to me!

When my fiancé returned, we took our so-called gifts from the folder and handed the folder to the salesman. It turns out all he needed were the folder which did not contain any information of value whatsoever! I had been sitting there with the other forms in front of me the whole time. He was just stalling, hoping that it would take us too long to get home to get the folder or that he could talk me out of it with my fiancé gone. Needless to say, we got out of there quickly. But now I think we should have done more to warn the other couples sitting through the session. That's why I've decided to post on here.

This company is a joke. If there weren't really any problems with these products, it would be nearly impossible to find complaints online. But when the word scam is so highly associated with the reputation of this company, you know it’s a bad deal! My advice to other couples is to research the companies online before attending anything like this. If your first instinct is that it's too good to be true, it probably is! Even the free gifts you supposedly qualify for include outrageous fees and service charges. Save yourself the time and effort and go enjoy a movie instead.

Sometime at the end of April/early June 2010, I kept receiving phone messages left on my phone from someone. They wouldn't say what the message pertained to, only that I should call them back. After about 15 calls from these people, I finally called back. When I did, I spoke with a very nice lady who told me that I had won these trips. But I had to show up for this cooking presentation which would take about 30-45 minutes to listen to and sample some food that was cooked. I told my husband about it and he was like, “Okay we can go.” We went and saw the presentation that was phenomenal! We really liked what we saw and were willing to purchase the pots and pans. But we wanted to talk about it and decide later. We were then told that we could have the stuff, but we had to sign up that day, that if we walked away, we couldn't come back and get them.

We decided to go ahead and get it. Once they finally came to the house, I made some dinner in the pots and pans, and guess what happened? Everything stuck to the stupid stuff, even though they were cooked on a med-low setting as instructed! I was livid! Not to mention, the customer service person that is dealing with my account is a **. He had a nasty attitude and spoke very harshly to me. He told me after asking for another representative to speak to, that I would have to talk to him, and if I didn't want to talk to him, to pay my bill on time. That angered me because he didn't know my situation and wasn't willing to hear it until I cussed him out and hung up on him. Later that day, a nicer lady called and spoke to me and apologized for his actions.

I don't like the cookware because it ruins food which in the long run is less cost effective to have, because I've only used the product maybe 3 times since I've had it. I offered to send it back, but they told me that I cannot because I signed a contract. Isn't there something someone can do about this company getting over on people? I just should've gone to Belk's or Macy's and got some pots and pans, and for a lot cheaper too!

On exactly 8/18/10, my mother had 2 sales representatives from Royal Prestige come to our home to do a product demonstration for a juice extractor. I was present more or less during the time of the presentation. The sales representatives told my mother that she would be healthier by using the extractor. She was told she would be encouraged to eat healthier and promote a healthier lifestyle among the home. Well, tell me who’s not going to want to promote a healthier lifestyle after they buy a $1500 juice extractor.

When I learned of the price, I signaled no to my mother. But she went ahead and signed off anyway. I understand that she wants nice things inside her home. But just two weeks later, I convinced her to put that money to good use, to use those $1500 to buy something nice for herself. Not to squander it on something as useless as a juice extractor. She said okay, and today 8/30/10, she called the company and they told her she couldn’t return it because she was told that she had 3 days from when she signed the contract. She got frustrated and asked to speak to a manager. I asked her to let me take over the phone call and spoke to the manager, further explaining to him that there has to be some sort of loophole, something that lets a customer return the product after the said 3 days. I told him, “There has to be a way! How can a customer know if he or she is going to be satisfied with a product when they haven’t even received the product?" This is ridiculous. My mother can’t afford to pay this off. Please help

Exact address is unknown. We purchased these (or agreed to purchase these) at a bridal show in Nashville, Tn. When we received the pans, they did not work as described. We even had a chef come over and try to use the pans and they didn't work and everything stuck to them and left a bad taste to the food. We called the company and they said it was user error and told us to wash them in vinegar. We did this with the same result. Then, when we asked about returning them, the representative asked if we bought a car, do you think they would let us return it?

If the car was a lemon, yes, we could return it. There was a gross misrepresentation of this product and we cannot get anyone to return our calls. If the pans worked we wouldn't mind keeping them and paying for them. The cost is not the concern; the fact that we are paying for an item we cannot use is. Thank you for looking into this matter and we hope to hear from you soon. Negative report to our credit if we don't pay. Possible illness from whatever causes the food to taste metallic.

I bought a set of Royal Prestige pans and sat through a sales presentation with my wife and honestly, how do you go to these things not expecting to be asked to buy. We are quite happy with our cookware and china. We have had a few issues but they are generally resolved in a reasonably timely manner. What irks me is how stupid you people make yourselves sound. If you don’t read the contract then you deserve what you get. If the contract is in Spanish, tell the salesman to get an English one or get another customer. If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it. And if you are too stupid to use it, don’t buy it, as simple as that. Don't whine because you failed to protect yourself or someone told you Teflon were evil good god.

If you really cared, you would have researched it. I love my royal prestige and yes, I paid a lot of money for it. And I am not ashamed to say, I did. The product is great and the people have always been polite to me when I have had an issue. I didn’t always get my way but I was always treated with respect. I know there are bad salesmen out there but unless they physically twisted your arm, anything you sign is your own fault.

As it has turned out, these sets have proved to be the best household investments of my lifetime as I've not had to make such purchases again as my parents and friends have. I've cooked for my growing family of four children, for friends and family and the cookware looks as good as new!

After having owned the set for some seventeen years, of the fault of none other than my own, I completely ruined my two quart sauce pan. Because of the lifetime warranty, I called the company to see about replacement and never was there hesitation of such. I had terrific customer service in the procedure to replace the pan and lid. And just recently, many years later, I scorched the one quart pan, again I called the company and got the same excellent customer service. The company has remained true to their warranty after 35 years of my purchase, I've been more than pleased with the fine products, never having to shop again for cookware, knives, or utensils. I love my Royal Prestige cookware!

I purchased a set of pans in March 2009. We had an in-home presentation where we were told that the non-stick and metal in other pans could lead to cancer and other health risks. They told us these pans would prevent this. My daughter and I both bought a set for $1600. The main reason for buying these was the health issues. We have young children in the family and wanted to make sure they were eating healthy. We were told these pans would not need oil to cook with and that food would not stick, this is not true.

I was given 24 months to pay without interest. If it were not for the free interest, I definitely would have had to pass on this purchase at this time, even though at the time I really wanted them. I have been trying to get the pay off from the company. Every time I speak to them, I get the same answer. They want me to pay the balance and the interest. I have explained to them at least eight different times, I do not owe any interest. It says nowhere on the contract that I must send interest before the contract agreement which is March 2011.

My advice to anyone looking to buy from this company: don't do it. The product is not what they say it is, also this product is way overpriced, not to mention the headaches of trying to deal with the finance issues.

My fiance and I got a call saying we won a 3-night stay at a hotel and all we had to do to claim our prize is come listen to a presentation. They would not tell me what the presentation was about, but for the sake of getting the prize, we went. First off, the guy that did the presentation had driven 18 hours to be there that night and I don’t think a company should make its employees drive that long to do a presentation. He told us that the pots we use has a spray on nonstick coating that can poison us so of course me being overly paranoid about stuff like that is gonna not want to use them. Second, he said that the only way to get this product is to go to a party. We cannot call and order and if I didn’t want the product, it was up to me, but I’m walking away from a great deal. So I felt pressured right there to buy it. Anyways, the pots are not supposed to stick.

So we set up a payment plan and he says we should get our product within 3 days and all our account information within 3 days. And our first payment would not be due till next month. Two and a half weeks go by and we still have not gotten anything. So finally, I call the company and they said I should get it within a week. So I finally get it and can’t wait to use it and all the damn things stick and burn. So I tried having my roommates who are professional cooks use them and they still burn and stick to everything. And I have read the directions and did everything the guy told me to do. Second, when they come out of the dishwasher they have a white film that just won’t come off. Third, the utensils I got with them, all the handles are cracked and melted in my dishwasher. And the mixing bowls all have brown rust on them which stainless steal shouldn't rust.

Fourth of all, 2 months go by and I haven't received my paper work for my account information so I can pay my bill so I kept calling them within the 2 months and the company never answered the phone within the business hours. So I sent them an email, got no reply to that either. Finally, I noticed a charge from them on my credit card that I put a down payment on. So I didn’t worry about it and figured they are just going to take my monthly payments off my credit card.. Then two weeks later, my sister gets a call from them and they tell her I’m delinquent with my account and I had to pay all this money, which was so embarrassing. So I called them and the stupid lady who answered the phone kept asking how to spell my name like 15 times. Now I know that spelling can be hard, but Diane is not a hard name to spell. It took her 20 minutes to find me in the system, which was running up my minutes on my cell phone. Then after she finally found me in the system, she told me the person who called me is not in and can they call me back. And I’m like, “**?

Look, I should be at work right now but I’m staying home to talk to you now. I want to know why my account is in a delinquent status when you just charged my credit card.” So the lady basically ended up hanging up on me saying she couldn't help me that she was just a customer service person and that I had to talk to the person who sold me the product. So after 2 days of trying to call him, I got a hold of him and he told me that I had to pay all this money in late fees, which I told him, “It is not my fault if you guys would just send me a bill or answer the phone during business hours or send me my paper work on my account, I would pay.”

Basically, it still hasn't been fixed after talking to him and him telling me, “I’m sorry the charge that was made to your account was not applied to your account, yet I will apply it now.” Well, then what was it applied to then? And where did that money that was charged to my credit card go if it wasn't used to pay for my account? Also, I told him about my products being melted and cracked and he told me he would set up a call for the company to exchange my product the next day, which I’m still waiting on 2 weeks later. And I’m still waiting for my payment that was charged to my credit card to be applied to my account as well.

So after all that time spent away from work and spent talking on my cell phone during the day, nothing has been resolved and I’m left with a crappy product that just burns my dinner. Bottom line, I walked into a situation not knowing anything about the company and had to buy right then and there or lose the product and I jumped at the chance to buy it, which should have been a huge clue to me to not buy it. I should have listened to my gut instincts about this. Now I'm out $2500. Lesson learned: Never buy anything from a company without researching them first and researching the product.. And if you have to buy it right then and there or lose the product, it’s a scam. Bottom line, don’t waste your money cause you will regret it later.
