We bought the pots and pans, but we are not fully satisfied with the product, although we paid for them and kept them. I would just like to know how to get some handles for the skillets, the big stew pots, and the steam relief valves. I would like to see if the 50 year warranty is any good or if the Royal Prestige group will back out on that deal also.

I purchased a set of three pieces from Royal Prestige: one square tortilla warmer which the tortillas totally stick to, a rectangular pancake pan on which the pancakes totally burn without cooking. I use my $12.00 pan to make pancakes instead, and a round griddle form pan, this one I haven't even tried using. Anyway, the representative told me on several occasions that he would send me a free 3-piece spoon set. I never received it. This company is just a total scam! Do not buy Royal Prestige! Rena Ware is totally better!

In November 2007, I was given a demonstration in my leasing office of the pots and pans from Royal Prestige by one of my residents. The entire demonstration was given in English, but he only had contracts written in Spanish. He made claims that the cookware could greatly reduce the fats my family would ingest per meal, which could also reduce the possibility of acquiring other serious health issues later in life. He continued to fill in all the blanks on the credit application and order form, based on the personal information I provided. He briefly told me what I would be signing, as well as inform me about the 3-day cancellation policy.

Since I was looking to embark on a much healthier cooking lifestyle, I had no intentions of returning the products once received. So I wrote Mr. Juber a check for $199 to cover the downpayment. We made arrangements to have the products delivered to the leasing office, especially since Mr. Juber was a resident of the community I was employed.

A week later, my employment with that community ended, and I was forced to move from Houston to Beaumont, TX (1 1/2 hours east of Houston). Once the products came in, Mr. Juber called me so we could make arrangements for me to drive back and retrieve the pots and pans. I left the ball in his court and encouraged him to let me know when would be best for him. After numerous unsuccessful calls to schedule a meeting, I decided that it was not meant for me to receive the products and assumed Mr. Juber would cancel the order.

In January 2008, I returned to Houston with a new job and new home for my family and a great amount of hope for a new beginning. In March, I received a call for a collector of Royal Prestige informing me that I was in collections and I needed to make a payment immediately. I explained to them that I never received the products and questioned why I would pay for something I never received. They informed me that I signed a contract and I was legally bound by such. They also confirmed that I did not receive my order, but they were willing to resend it to me if I paid 2 months in advance at that moment. Needless to say, I was in shock by their lack of ethics.

I told them I would not pay for it, and I no longer wanted it. It was not until 2 years later, when I came across a debt of $1600 on my credit report from Royal Prestige. I have called them numerous times to explain to them that I never received the products and should not have these erroneous charges. All anyone can tell me is that I signed a contract and I should have cancelled within the 3-day grace period. I was given contact information to supervisors and my distributor here in Houston.

I have made attempts to contact Mr. Jorge, but my calls have gone unreturned. The ladies who answered his office lines only speak Spanish, and my Spanish is very limited. I requested copies of the contract and credit application I signed. Thankfully, Jesus ** is the only person who genuinely seems to want to resolve this matter.

I am making efforts to clear up my credit report. This charge of $1600 is not something I am willing to pay, since I will literally be giving out money for no apparent reason. I am a single mother, making arrangements to continue my education this fall. With this, I hope to provide a better life for my 2 children.

We were offered free vacations in return to attending a seminar. In the end, there's no free vacation and we're pressured into buying expensive dishes that don't work the way they are supposed to. We are young couple just getting married and blew $1800 on dishes. We were unhappy with them and couldn't return them. We paid them off, but we get depressed when we think of them.

On Sunday February 20, 2010, my family and I went to Royal Prestige presentation invited by Sandra. The presentation was great. I fall in love with one of the set that they were showing there. The cost was $2,002.29 for 8 items, but because I was willing to pay the full amount, she gave me a good deal, everything for $1,750.00 and I ended to pay only $1,700.00. The next day on (2/24/10), I had a conversation with my husband regarding the products, in which he advised me not to buy the product because they were expense. I read the sale orders and I find out that I can cancel the order within three (3) days without any penalty.

On 2/24/10, I called the representative (Sandra) that sold me the product and she didn't answer and I left a message and she called me back later. I told her my decision to cancel the order and she said I should wait for the order and see if I like it or not. I continue calling her. However when she called me back, the three days that I had to return the product without any penalty was gone. I called the company directly and they said that I can't return the product because those products are not returnable and the limited time was over. I got another number from the internet I called; it was the Hy Cite Warranty Company. I told the Customer Services person my issue and she told me nothing that she can do. They are a warranty company only, if I want my money back, I have to call the representative within the three days. I told her I did without any luck.

I called Sandra again, I left several messages that I don't want to receive the product and I would like her to cancel the order. Suddenly, at beginning of March 2010, I received the product. Even though I don't want, I got it. I tried to use the electric pot and it didn't work for me. I continue calling Sandra and I still don’t have any answer. Now, I don't know what to do with the product. I don't want it. I would like to get my money back. I called within the time that the company provided to customer. I need your help in this matter. I did everything that I could to resolve this problem, but nobody seems to help me. The time is running fast, now is almost May and I still have the product. I want to return it as soon as possible. I am dissatisfied with the customer service that I received from the company and representative.

We got a phone call from the presenter saying we had won 1000 gift certificates but we needed to attend a 90-minute seminar. We went to it just to see what it was all about. We come to find out they were selling pots and pans, trying to get us to buy their product with, that we would get a great deal on either china or a knife set. We didn't want to buy them. As we walked towards the door at the end of the seminar ,one of the sales ladies stepped in front of us with the order form and wouldn't stop pressuring us into buying it. Like young engaged people we fell for it and gave in.

The very next day, I tried to call and cancel the order which is says right on the contract you have 3 days to cancel. It had only been one day and they would not cancel my order! I also sent in a printed legal letter saying I did not wish to purchase these pots and pans. They ignored all my efforts to stop them from sending them and a week later they arrived in the mail.

I was so angry. Now 2500 dollars later, they are finally paid off and are reporting that I have not made a payment in 2 months! This company is a complete scam. Not to mention the pans are not great quality at all and the knife set is already dull after 2 yrs which is supposed to have a life time warranty but yet they are refusing to replace any of the pots and pans that are ruined or the knife set.

I had receive a call saying that I won a free cruise (from a raffle at a bridal registry). I would have to sit through a 90 minute presentation to get the free trip. The presenter made claims about Teflon could be hazardous to my health (since its fumes could kill a bird). Other products could cause health problems. The reason why the cookware was expensive, he explained, was because the metals they use were high end and no other company's cookware had those metals. All the metals are necessary to work properly.

My fiance and I could afford it, with his income alone, but with my credit. We decided to co-sign for the cookware. It end up that by the time I had received the cookware. My fiance and I had broken the engagement off! I called the company and they gave me the run around, then they had me call a lady who was head of the finance dept and I left a message, because she wasn't in the office. She talked about the contract like my issue was no reason to cancel the policy. She said, "Someone in the house always has to cook no matter who is there."

When I signed the contract, the presenter didn't even turn the sales order around (which is where that statement of "You may cancel this transaction within 3 business days from the above date." He gave me the line of credit papers to read through while he hurriedly dated the papers.

Since my fiance and I are not together, I have to pay for the cookware myself. Being a full-time college students and a single mother, this has really set me behind many months. The customer serive I recieved was awful and I wish I would have said no thanks to the call! The cookware cooks like my cookware I had before, which only cost about $100. I know how to cook, and there is no difference in the way my food cooks.

Since I received my pots, I have been using them. It seems that if you do not go by the book, you will not get the results. It is true that the rice is done in ten minutes. I have been cooking since I am 9 and I am 54 now. Old school people do things the way they should and follow instructions. I have no complaints with the pots or the filter. Now, these posts are worth a lot more than when I got them, if it sticks it is because you do not know how to cook and you are used to your old fashion pots. So ladies, it is not the pots that do not work, it is the individual who does not know or does not have the patience to use them the way they are supposed to be used. So take a little time with your pots and actually learn how it is done. Hope you all get it right.

Plain and simple, if you can't afford the $2800 pots then do not buy them. We went to this Royal Prestige Bridal show. We sat for about 45 minutes and listened to a hilarious man from Tennessee talk and these pots. My fiance and I had a blast surprisingly. There was no pressure to buy their product at all. He was a great salesman and has us very convinced with his product; nonetheless, we knew we couldn't afford $2800 pots. They do finance where you only have to pay #30 a month at 1.5% interest but guess what people! Do the math, at that interest rate you wouldn't even be paying the interest a month! The amazing thing is, however, you do not have to purchase the product.

Well, I have been reading all the complaints about the Royal Prestige products and not one of them says anything about the poor cooking quality! I mean really, the only reason anything is sticking is because they have it on way too high of heat and don't understand how to use them! I have a 10-piece set of my own! I was called to see a presentation close to where I live. Me and my fiance went and the presentation was only an hour. The guy was very nice, hilarious and completely understanding! No pressure whatsoever!

I fell in love with the product because I 100% agree with what kind of cookware they are. They are a medium to low heat type of cookware! And oh my, the way it is true what they say about Teflon products and what it does to people. Just because the customer service might have a few bad eggs doesn't mean that the product is bad. I think most would agree that 90% of all customer services aren't all that great to deal with.

We drove over three hours to the hotel and sat through the 90-minute presentation. It did not seem like a bad presentation and it seemed legit. We were told that we did not have to buy anything but if we did, we would get a free 5-day, 4-night cruise to the Caribbean. We ended up buying 1 pot that was only supposed to be $600.00. It came in the mail a month later and it was the wrong one. I called and spoke to their customer service representative and they said that I had to keep it since I signed the contract for it. I called the sales representative. It’s been 6 months and I still haven't gotten a phone call back from her.

My fiancée didn't want to waste our money so we used the pot following the directions from the recipe book and not only did our lid break but the bottom is now warped. I called to get a new one since the warranty supposedly covered any damage and I was told that I would have to pay for shipping and handling on the lid to return it and to get a new one back. I was told that it was my fault that the pot was warped and that it could not be exchanged. They also threatened to report me to a collection agency because I was two days late when they received my payment. I have tried to get out of this because I do not need this hassle from this company but I am told that there is nothing I can do now.

When I got there, they made a whole presentation about the pots, they made it look like they were the best pots ever. They convinced me and I purchased a set. But when I received them and tried them, it was something else. I also received a water filter as a bonus but to my surprise the tap water tasted better than the filter water. I called the company to cancel, I was told that I had to cancel during a three day period like my contract said but reviewing the contract, it does not say that. I received a call in November of 2008 that I had won all of these wonderful prizes. They had gotten my name from a bridal show that I had attended (ladies, be careful about the information that you give out at those events). All we had to do was come and listen to them speak about some products. So, of course, my husband and I went in thinking that we were just going to listen for the heck of it and just get out free stuff.

Well, after about two hours of listening to their pressuring scare tactics, we were suckered into buying $2,800 worth of their products. At the time, we thought that we could afford the monthly payments and figured that we could get it paid off quickly. Well, they forgot to mention that the interest rate is 24%! So we have officially been paying on these for a year now, paying $100 a month, and really only end up paying $50 towards the principle balance because $48 goes to interest!

I am so outraged by this company that I tried calling to speak to them about lowering the interest and they refused. When I had mentioned that my Discover and my Visa card are more willing to work with me in lowering my interest, they didn't even care. These people are so heartless in what they do--it is sickening. Especially with the way this economy is going, they are not willing to work with people at all!

My advise to those that are engaged, expect this type of phone call. Do not even bother with it because the "free" stuff is not so free. Nothing is free. It was a waste of my life and money and now, I can never get that back. I wish that someone would shut this place down for the ** that they put vulnerable people through.

After being pressured for over 2 hours, we were promised 4 free vacations, 1.75% interest, and a bunch of free items for purchasing a 10-piece cookware set. We were told the only thing we were paying for is the 10-piece cookware set; everything else was free (to the tune of $3346.76). The flatware is wrapped and the plating is breaking off causing rust; everything sticks to the "oil-less, water-less, non-stick" cookware, and half of the dinnerware was broken upon receiving. We were promised 1.75% interest, we are paying 21%. We were pressured into buying and bribed with 4 different vacations and cannot get any customer service to help, record calls, or even return calls. I have a minimum monthly payment of $127 for junk. I followed every instruction to the "T". I am still using these pot and pans daily and they have held up beautifully. Yes, they are expensive, but in the long run, it is cheaper than replacing an entire set every couple of years. I've never had to replace any handles or other parts (The only other pans I have bought have been inexpensive non-stick fry pans. When they warp and scratch, I discard and buy a new one - as they only last a few months).

My fiancee (now my wife) and I were invited to a special presentation in order to receive a "free" vacation. We were a little iffy on that, but we went anyway. When we did, we saw a Royal Prestige presentation and a very firm sales pitch. Every time we told the salesperson that we would need to think about it, he would interrupt us and hound us with more information. We were going to be married in about a month and needed cookware, so because of the scare tactics given during the presentation and the "won't take no for an answer" attitude of the salesman, we purchased through financing about $2300 worth of pots and pans and received "free" china.

However, when we received the first month's bill, we were also charged an additional $1000 for the china. Knowing that we probably wouldn't get anywhere with complaints, we decided to go ahead and pay for the product. So far, every meal we have had has been followed with a large amount of scraping food off the bottom of the pans that "won't have food stick." I recently lost my job and fell behind in payments. I am currently about $200 behind the payments, and I am receiving about 10-20 phone calls a day from Hy Cite Financing. I am also receiving calls at work, even though I have continuously asked them not to contact me at work. Now, I am getting a salesman, Ted, showing up at my home and leaving phone messages threatening to have a sheriff show up to serve me on my unpaid bills.

I own the cookware. I love using it. If you use it right, like the directions and the DVD cooking lessons, then there are no problems. I bought my Royal Prestige Cookware at the past California State Fair. I just went to this year's California State Fair yesterday and added some specialty pans I didn't see before. I take good care of my cookware and it makes the best tasting meals I have ever made. I'm sorry that other people have not had good experiences with the cookware, but it does exactly what I was told it would do. Any browning at the bottom of the pan soaks off in seconds and wipes clean. Bartender's Helper keeps the pans shiny inside. Soap and water keep the pans shiny outside. This has been a good investment for me, worth the price. Please post my positive appreciation to the Royal Prestige Cookware company for making a fine product.

My wife and I purchased a 10 piece set of Royal Prestige Cookware because we were impressed with the cooking demonstration at the fair. Despite the high prices, they had some great extras added in (not a "free vacation" but more cookware pieces). Our only complaint was a little difficulty receiving our set due to a computer malfunction, but they were more than quick to respond and they also threw in extra pieces for our inconvenience.

I had to laugh at some of the negative reviews I read on this post. One complained about using Bar Keepers Friend (found it at Walmart, not expensive and cleans the pots phenomenally). They used it once then stuck it in their closet and are thinking of throwing them away? Wow. I think they have more issues than being mad about paying a lot for these pans. Yes, they are expensive. I still can't believe I paid this much for cookware. On the flip side, I have been using them every day, and all the claims about cooking with them have been met. The waterless method of cooking vegetables is so easy that I have been eating more vegetables that I ever have.

Cleaning is not difficult, and although I was dismayed to find there are less costly brands of waterless cookware, I don't blame the company for their prices. I paid them and knew what they were beforehand. Incidentally, the salesperson who sold us the pans is still in contact with us via email regarding questions we had. If all the sales people were as scrupulous as our guy, then there probably wouldn't be as many complaints.

Final analysis: They are expensive. If you don't use them, then they are worthless. If you can't afford, then don't put it on a credit card. But the pans themselves are high quality, look great, and perform as advertised. What more do you want from a pan?

Back in 2008, my fiance and I received a phone call stating that we had won a free honeymoon to any of the 3 locations named Bahamas, Mexico and the Dominican republic. We just had to sit through a seminar to claim our prizes. Also, we didn't have to buy any of the products they were selling. We decided to attend, took down the directions and a week later, we went. There were 2 guys there, Matt and another guy and a woman named Melissa at the back. The talk about how the Teflon in the pots and pans we use are unhealthy and are making us sick and what not, I didn't know what to think at first. Scary it was, but hard to believe. So, we continued to listen. As Matt was talking, the other man there was cooking food on the pots and pans and then passed them out to us. The food tasted good, but it tasted as any other food cooked on any other pan tested.

After the seminar, my fiance and I weren't sure if we wanted to buy anything. It was expensive, but after awhile of looking at the stuff, we bought a pot and pan set for about $1,500. We had the set up where they would take the down payment of $120 out of my checking the next week, after that they would take out $51.00 a month. We received the pots and pans and were excited to use them. We read the book it came with, watched the DVD, even wrote down important stuff and we cooked. The food tasted normal as again, in any pot or pan, and the pot we used had to be cleaned with the powder like stuff it came with which would have been easier if it could just be washed like any normal pot or pan.

In the end, the pots and pans remain in their box at the bottom of my closet, used only once. I regret buying them. After reading all the negative reviews and the small amount of positive ones, I have determined that Royal Prestige is a scam and after my payments are done, I want nothing to do with them. Not even one phone call or letter. I don't even know what I'm going to do with the pots and pans. I can't sell them for cheap cause they have to be cleaned a certain way. I guess I'll just throw them out.

It was like if we used any of these products, we would suffer some incredible ailment. The problem with this sort of high pressured sales pitch is that because it is at a home of a friend, you feel an obligation to purchase something. Royal Prestige products are incredibly expensive and on checking the Internet, found there were literally dozens of complaints. Consequences: no negative consequences as no purchase was made. The sales guy was very nice. His name was Matt, and he told us we could still get our 40% discount on the pots and pans if we decided we wanted it later. The only thing that wasn't included in our free trip is our flight. The only thing was, if we bought the pans, we would get a free cruise on top of it. Nothing has ever burned or stuck to the pan unless I had the heat too high. You just have to watch the video that comes with it to learn the correct way to use the cookware. I've cooked countless steaks, vegetables, burgers and nearly everything you can think of with the exception of eggs in these pans. I'd also like to add that all the literature said they were no good for eggs. I've had theses pans for nearly 10 years they have made several moves with me and even gone camping. You can still nearly see your reflection in them. If there ever was a $300 pan, this is it. They require a minimal amount of upkeep. I've had to polish them once and that was after a long run of cooking things covered in honey. I expect them to last another 10 years, no issues. They are advertised as oil-less pans and everything sticks to them forcing you to use oil. They're the worst pans I have ever owned. I spend hours and hours scrubbing pans that were advertised as low maintenance. The company does not allow returns. We were forced to sign an agreement the day of the presentation; otherwise, we would lose the opportunity to make any purchases. We were not notified of any interest rates and once we received the pots, we were unable to return them.

It wasn't until a month later that we found out the interest rate of 21%. The company also allows payments online. I have been making the payments regularly and today received a call saying I missed a payment and the last payment I made was applied to the next bill. They are now threatening late fees and to raise my interest even more. I have never made a late payment and they are calling, bullying me to pay within a few days.

What options or protections do I have under the law? I do not wish to keep these. I am a third year college student and have much more bills to pay. This was part a bridal show, which I recently broke off my engagement. They go from bridal show to bridal show, telling engaged couples they will save money in the long run and make their lives easier. It has made my life the opposite. Just as I have read about many other couples, my fiance and I were also "scammed" by the high pressure sales and scare tactics of this company. Just as the others, we thought these pots and pans would improve our health, home and the end result of cooking. That was not the case. Everything sticks to the pans, and they are so difficult to clean. Most times, we are washing the pots and pans multiple times to get them clean. I have used everything from various levels of heat when cooking to using oil to lubricate my pans thinking that would help. It didn't.

The worst part about it was we were in a car accident 3 days after the pots and pans presentation. We ended up paying out of pocket for the repairs on the car and, when I called to cancel the order on the 4th day due to being in the accident, I was denied and told to make the payments as best as I could. I was given the whole 3-day-cancellation rule. I was shown no compassion for having been in a car accident on the 3rd day after the purchase and for calling on the 4th. The pots and pans were still packed up and I offered to pay for shipping to return them on that 4th day and was shown no consideration.

Royal Prestige and Hy Cite have done the absolute opposite to what they claimed to do. I was intrigued with the "stack cooking" they claim to be known for. However, at my house, the pans stay stacked in my cabinet. I would still like to return the product and I am still happy to pay the shipping. In no way would I ask for or expect anything in return from Hy Cite, like a free set of dishes.

We went and the man selling the product used scare tactics and told us that teflon cookware causes cancer. We were also told that the way the cookware works, it's healthier than the pots and pans we would buy at Wal-Mart. He also told us that everything had a no questions asked 50-year warranty, so that if anything ever happened to anything we ever purchased, we could send it back and they would replace it.

We decided not to buy the cookware, but purchased the plates instead because they told us that if we bought something that day, we would always have the 20% to 40% discount and we would have the all-inclusive trip. As we sat at our table, we heard him speaking to another couple that said they didn't have the money right now and he told them they could postdate a check, which is illegal and if they turned down this offer, they would never be asked to come to another Royal Prestige seminar again. The next day, I didn't feel right about what we did, so I went online and researched the company and found nothing but negative feedback from many other people and the so-called service they received.

I called today, Saturday 4/4/09, and they told me there was nothing they could do for me because the department didn't work on Saturdays and that I need to call back on Monday and send back our sales order and a reason why we wanted to cancel. None of this information was ever mentioned at our presentation. We didn't even know about the return policy until I did my research online. The so-called free prizes are also a scam. They are not free. For one of them, you needed to send a $50 non-refundable deposit and the other needed $4.95 and who knows how much more it costs after that. So, because we are college students, we attended so that we could get the trip as our honeymoon. So, somehow we went from a topic about our health to pots and pans? So, it was a 2 hr seminar about pots and pans and how fabulous they were.

A demonstration was performed and we were given samples of chicken and vegetables to try. My fiancé was sold on the idea, however I was skeptical. Nothing in a sales pitch has ever been 100% authentic. If it was, then why have to pitch your product. So, we were not going to get anything, then we were hounded and hounded and basically were not allowed to leave more or less. They kept sending sales assoc. to us to try to talk us into the product and when we would say, we just want the trip, then another assoc. would come talk to us. We did break down after the 3rd assoc. and decided to purchase.

$1300 later, we received 3 pots with 3 lids and an incomplete knife set. My fiancé was excited to use the stuff as soon as we got it. Needless to say, it did not work or cook as it did in the presentation. It burned the bottom, stuck, and then discolored after trying to clean it. The knifes are supposed to be rust proof however, the first time one was put into the dishwasher, also supposed to be dishwasher friendly, they rusted! I called and emailed the company about our displeasure and just wanted to return the stuff. Of course, no returns allowed.

Rob ** called and said he needed to do a cooking session with us to show us how to use the pots and that there are no returns ever allowed. And that if there was damage to the pots due to my cooking then they couldn’t be returned for new ones under the guidelines of the contract. I am 32 yrs old and my fiancé is 30 yrs old. I have been cooking with pots and pans for over 15 yrs and I have never had a pot burn as bad as these do, over and over and over again, on any heat temp. The cooking spray doesn’t even help. Everything sticks and the pots are still discolored from all of the burns and stickings. So we are stuck with these horrible pots and can’t do anything to rectify this situation.

We have stopped paying for them. I even tried to send them back to the company and they were refused and sent back to us. It is the nightmare of the never ending pot scam!!!

They sold me the 10-piece set plus free gift knife set. I received vouchers for "free gifts". They all require a $50 or more payment of some kind before you get your free trips. I specifically asked the salesperson how much the interest rate was. He said 2%. It is 2% A MONTH (!) for a total of 24%! I have excellent credit and definitely would normally qualify for a better rate than that.

I called them when the pots would not clean. They are heavy and too expensive and I wanted a refund. The US people said, "Call the Canada sales office." I called Kari in Canada. She said to return the affected pots for review and they would tell me what is wrong with them. I don't want to know what is wrong with them. They burn my food and take 20 min. per pot to clean and don't get clean in a dishwasher. I want my money back!! Kari told me not to send the pots back to the office as they would just send them right back to me.

Now I can't decide what to do. Do I pay out the balance to my low interest credit card?? Do I fight the charges? Do I continue to return the damaged pots over and over? I wish I had all day and all the money in the world to take them to court for selling crappy products and lying about them. Also, my payments per month are $130. Of that $65 is admin fees and interest. I have not seen the remaining balance move yet. These people are not in the business of selling pots and pans. They are in the business of LOAN SHARKING!

I, too, was contacted that I had won 3 wonderful prizes. My fiance and I went to the presentation expecting this cheesy and not good product. While there I got on my BlackBerry and confronted the sales rep with all the questions that people were complaining of. Most all complaints that I read were that people couldn't afford what they had bought in the first place. No one should make a commitment that they are unable to make.

I have not yet received my cookware that we ordered but I look forward to it. We spoke with the sales rep, who was very polite and honest. He was thrown off by some of our questions but was honest throughout. He reported that there was no return policy. If you buy them then you are stuck with them. He also told us that depending on our credit is what our interest rate would be. He said the interest rate is usually between 12 and 27%. Hugely high but he was honest. We asked how things are handled if we have a complaint.

He stated that there is an office here in our town that would handle the complaints. Not some foreign country. He said that as long as we watch the DVD and follow it, we should have no problem. If we do have a problem, they will try to fix it over the phone then they will send someone out to try to help us. If something changes after the time we get our cookware, I would be glad to post something different but from what I can read from the complaints posted here is that people got in over their heads in the first place or didn't know how to use the product.

He's always parked outside waiting for me to come home. The other day he saw me and said that the company sent him. I'm already in collections, so I don't understand why they still come by? He tried to work out payment arrangements, so I gave him a postdated check which I will be cancelling, just so that they will leave me alone. I'm willing to return the merchandise if they are willing to remove me from collections. All I want is to stop coming to my house and harassing me. Thanks hope you can help.

2/16/2009 I was just contacted by a person that works for Prestige Bridal. They stated I had won a free trip, knife set and pots and pans. They left a message on my cell. I called them back because I remembered that I did attend a bridal show about 2 months ago. I called the 800 # that was given to me and my reference # to claim my prize which was (**). When I called the number back a woman was told me the 3 gifts that I had won. I then was told I had to go to Holiday INN in Duluth to attend a seminar about the cookware but didn't have to buy anything. I actually had plans for that night and told her I would have to decline. I then just looked the company up just now on the internet to see what I had missed out on and found all of these complaints online on the same company with the same story. A lot of these complaints were from years ago and I wanted to let everyone know this is still happening in 2009. I was very lucky per the comments and stories I have read. Just beware! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU PLACED AN ORDER CANCEL IT IMMEDIATELY!! We sat through a presentation after almost being told we couldn't attend because both of us weren't there at the exact time of the meeting (we were the only couple that showed up) and my fiance was going to be about 20-30 minutes later. After 10 minutes of the sales guy disappearing and telling me someone was getting fired for telling us we could come, he let me in to show me the product. I only came for the free trip and other gifts, none of them are valid or even close to what we were told. After all is said and done we might end up being able to get one free picture taken that was offered... maybe. I agree that the product was decent (not worth the $3200 it would have cost after $150 shipping, tax and an undisclosed interest rate of 24%!). These products go for about $300-500 on ebay.

During his presentation he told us directly and with laminated foldouts about the health benefits of the pans over others, and that if we bought them we would lower our risk of cancer, heart disease and save money. We even watched a company provided video about the health benefits of these products. There is a direct quote from the president of this Hy Cite Corporation on this site that states the salesmen our not to pitch the product as a health benefit, and that their interest rate is meant to be disclosed. This salesperson insisted he did not know what the interest rate was. The main tactic is that most people my age (21) getting married have not heard of Royal Prestige or Hy Cite and therefore have no good or bad impressions. When you are in the room you obviously don't have internet access or a reliable source so they can say anything they want about how amazing the company is.

That is how I got stuck putting a down payment on pans and after researching the next day immediately canceled my order and canceled the card I used to pay with so they could not take even the down payment. When I called to cancel the person I talked to barely spoke English and told me he could not transfer me to the department that handled cancellations and I would have to call a different number. I assure you we are dead set on attending another seminar and recording the entire thing in detail and putting it up to the values described within quotes from the companies president. If I could assist in any way in regards to a legal matter opposing this company I would be a glad volunteer. Thank you.

Went to one of the free seminar to get a free vacation in February 2008 because I had registered for my wedding. Well turned out that we got suckered into buying $1800 worth of pans due to they said that since I had a little one in the family that cooking with Teflon could cause cancer and other illnesses. So we paid $150 that day to get the pans (that was a Friday). Then on Saturday I called to cancel the order and get our money back, had to leave a message then called again Sunday and Monday. Finally Monday they called me back and said it was too late to cancel the order.

Not only that but the free trip turned out to be a discounted trip and only for a hotel stay, nothing else. When I think of trip I think of hotel, possibly air fare and maybe some tickets to a show or amusement park or something like that, but with this trip it was just a hotel stay for 3 nights but I still had to pay I think about $100 for it. Then it took an extra month just to get the pans that we ordered, so I had to wait 5 months to get our order. Because due to our credit we had to do $40 a month for 4 months (layaway payment) then we would get our pans. But I still had to wait another month to get the pans.

This whole scam is ridiculous and at the meeting we went to we told the guy that we really didn't need them and couldn't afford them but he just kept insisting and pushing... once you say NO they still pressure. We now have to pay $80 a month for our set. I do use the pans but they don't work as well as Teflon, food still sticks.

Well my husband and I got a call one day about a showing of China and Pots and Pans that I had signed up for at a bridal fair. So we went to the show and they made it sound too good and they would also throw in two crystal glasses, a two night stay and also a free 7 day 6 night cruise and also a three month deferment (no payments for three months). So we purchased the pot and pans for about 2,100.00 or so and we decided about a week later that we really couldn't afford these so we tried calling them and the told us that we only had three days to return them, which isn't in their contract that we read and they didn't inform us about that.

So I sent in the deferment and a payment in September so I know that I wouldn't have a payment till January and then all of a sudden I get a statement from them stating that our November payment was late and that our payments went from 40.00 a month to 80.00 without letting us know. So now we have these pots and pans that we don't use because we couldn't return them and stuck with payments that if we don't pay will turn our credit score really bad. We entered a drawing for a motorcycle at the Iowa State Fair in 2008. A month or so later we had forgotten about it and received a call that in order to get our registration for the drawing (which turned out to be scheduled for a year later), we had to attend a cooking show. The food was cooked in front of us and was absolutely wonderful (I later looked at the ingredients on the seasoning he used - Lowry's - and saw that the first ingredient was salt, so that was probably why), cooked fast, and the cleanup was so apparently easy, so my husband and I bought a set. We got it and were really happy to finally have "cookware for life".

I have a fabulous memory, I learn best by watching people and can replicate everything I see, so I tried to make what we were given at the cooking show, and it turned out nothing like what had been given to us there. My food ended up exactly the same way it would have if I'd used my old cheap pots. The cookware was also no easier to clean than a standard stainless steel pot, meaning I had to go after it with a scotch brite pad, even though I had only used the medium heat setting and nonstick spray as recommended.

I called our sales guy and the Royal Prestige customer service line to return the products, and were told that there was no way to return the product, the only thing that they could do was have the salesman come to our house and teach us how to use the product, as if I was going to let that scumbag in our house. When I was talking to him, he basically accused me of being an idiot and not knowing how to cook. Little did he know that he was actually insulting himself as he does not know my visual learning style or that I can replicate anything out of a cookbook (which we received with our set).

I'm now planning to try to sell our set on eBay, and if that does not work I am considering looking into taking them to small claims court on the accusation of fraud. The fraud part? They claim that their indicator whistles at 180 degrees, but I have discovered otherwise. I boiled a shallow pot of water once, intending to cook some pasta in it, and when the indicator whistled and I took the lid off 5 seconds later, the pot was already boiling. The last time I checked, water boiled at 212, not 180.

This fact completely knocks out half of their claimed benefits of using the cookware. Now I'm kicking myself for not having this fact click earlier, because what does a teakettle do when it boils? It whistles! This indicator works on the same process, and I feel so dumb for not realizing it at the time. I wanted to believe that there aren't many white collar people pulling scams out there, but unfortunately I found one. Unfortunately for him, neither my husband nor I have ever let ourselves be taken advantage of. I'm not sure how we're going to go about it, but one way or another we're going to get our money back and get rid of those overpriced paperweights.

My Fiance and I were lured in by a call saying that we had won and that we were invited to a private cooking show and that we were going to get to taste test food and see a demonstration on their cookware. Lo and behold, we went, and my Fiance laughed through the whole thing. The sales person was bashing all other cookware, telling us it would kill us and that if we care about our families and each other, we would invest in new pots and pans and that the total savings that we would get over our life time is $40,000. He was trying to brainwash all the engaged 'young' couples in the room, including us.

After the spiel we went up to claim our free prizes (which ended up to be not free), so that we could leave and the salesman annoyed that we weren't even interested in his products asked us why we weren't going to buy anything. This was a one time offer and that the only other chance that we would get to buy these products was by a 'commission' salesman coming to my home. I told him simply that we were trying to pay for a wedding in six months and he said, "Well, you can finance it and it will only cost you each about $6 a week and you can pay it off with all the money you will receive from your wedding gifts."

I laughed and told him again that we only wanted our free stuff and were not interested. A bit angry, he shoved the envelop towards us and muttered, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." We walked out and never looked back but we were the only ones that weren't roaring to buy the $1,400 set of dishes and get the free cruise, which happened to be the Imperial Majesty the same one that Ramada Resorts claims to give you for free... For my research, I noticed these Royal Prestige con-artists trigger latino communities mainly out here in Los Angeles where people only speak Spanish mainly. They are so good at acting that they fool their prospect victims in a way that you feel bad, pressured and sorry for them losers. They trick them, they know who to trick. I decided to buy one pan worth $300.00 when I took it home and used it I realized that it was not as great as they said it was, the food burnt and stuck to the pan.

I then decided to call them to return it and they stated that they did not accept returns but would replace the pan for me, I then had a conversation that lasted about 20 min in regards to their policies and unethical practices that I was not informed of when I purchased the pan. This gets worse, two weeks later I recieved the bill statement and realized that the pan was financed at the highest percentage ever (20 something) and after paying it off it would cost me double of what I purchased it at.

Royal Prestige first came to me by door to door sales, Mr. Santiago was persistent in selling a complete set of pans, they offered free pots and discounts if we where to buy and host a viewing party. We agreed $ 1917.99 dollars later we did not get any additional pots or offers offered to us. They told us that the set would save in time, and cloistral, and needs minimal cleaning also they told us it was a healthy must, they also told me that they dont scratch burn or break at any time, after a less than a year pots where scratched, burned, and hands gone (yeas they did replace the handle as agreed but that is it, no other promises where kept) over all my experience was not pleasant

it took some 25 monthly payments of about $80.00 to pay off the useless pans, most have bumps, burns and countless scratches over all it was not worth it in any way all it was, was false promises

We have a copy of the contract, so if needed we can send it to you

This is not a complaint; this is the best cookware ever made. We bought a set when we first married in 1982 and have expanded it over the years. We couldn't be happier with it. We plan to buy our 5 children each a set when they settle down and start their own families. People who say the food burns or sticks didn't listen to the distributor explain how it works; it is the complete opposite of typical cookware. I take the stuff camping and hunting with me to cook over coals with; when we get home, it cleans right up. I will never cook on any other kind of cookware, nor will our kids; they love how easy it is. All 5 cook , it was really easy to teach them to use it. The best thing is how little heat it takes.

About 7 years ago when I was pregnant during a demonstration at my mothers house I was convince that my child would be born healthier if I purchased the pots. My contract came out to be over $2000. I had to use my uncles account because I did not qualify unless I gave a large deposit.

Also, about a year ago my mother was invited to drawing. She was told that she had been chosen to receive money towards a brand new home. When we went to La Casa del Mexicano in East L.A. it was a demonstration on the pots. again we will suckered in to purchansing pots.

I used my credit card and $100 deposit. Months passed and we never received anyhting. Luckily they wrote my credit card number wrong and could not charge $2000 on it. My mother had to back 3 times to get her $100. However they would not give it to her instead hey said they would give her a product worth the $100.

I was in debt for a very long time. I had to consolidate all my accounts. The interest was really high. I think I made payments for 2 years.

When we first received our set, there was a manufacturing problem with one of our pots. We sent them the faulty pot and they sent us a new one immediatly.

The price may sound outrageous (we almost didn't buy it ourselves) but it comes with a 50 yr warranty and works great. I'm glad I bought the set and if I ever need any cookware again I'll buy from Royal Prestige.

I received a call to go to a presentation with the promise of a free vacation (which isn't free by the way the only thing paid is the hotel room but not the taxes on the room, and it doesn't include anything else and it has to be during the week and can't be during busy times of the year, what a joke!). We went and listened to a presentation about cookware that was supposed to be healthy for you, this gentleman went on and on about how this cookware would save your life and how other cookware that uses teflon will kill you because it flakes off and is deadly. He told us a story about an elderly women in Edmonton that almost died from teflon, and how your bird will die if you put its cage in the kitchen and cook off of teflon and how it causes cancer, etc, basically scared us so much we didn't want to use any cookware but theirs. So we ended up buying a 7 piece set, that came with a FREE? baking set and utensil set as well, the total price $2850!

We weren't told of the interest rate or that we only had so many days to cancel our order...how are we supposed to know that we want to return the cookware when we hadn't received it yet? Well we had a big mishap where they were taking money of our credit card but when i phoned to have the billing account switched they couldn't even find our account, they eventually did after a lot of searching. Well the cookware arrived and a whistle was broken on a lid so i phoned the company, finally getting through after a month of trying, i waited 2 months and no whistle showed up so i phoned them back..again having to phone many times..and eventually got a package but instead of a whistle it was handles which i didn't need, so i again phoned them back..and finally a month later received my whistle.

Also the pots and bakeware have all stained with white spots, on the instructions it says dont put salt in the water to prevent white spots, well i never put salt in the water when i cook yet they are still there? Also the cookware is not nonstick and burn free like they claim, i dont know how many times i have had to soak the pots and pans to get burnt on food off..they again claim im not using them right..well i have watched the dvd numerous times and do everything right and they still stick and burn!

The latest mishap is my large pot has developed a warped bottom..i have yet to phone them on this because i am sure i will hear some excuse like i am misusing the cookware or something. We were also told that night that the monthly payments would be $40 a month, but what they didn't tell u is after you receive your cookware your payments go up to $100 per month!! and that they would charge $45 a month in interest so you are really only paying $55 per month! So im paying $1200 a year and almost $600 hundred goes to interest per year, so it will take me 5 years at $100/month to pay off this shabby cookware when it should only take just over 2 years at those payments!

Also they do not give you time to read the contract they rush you through everything and we were young and to niave to know the difference, plus the gentleman had told us we had to sign off on all bridal show sales being final (cause for some reason their different and cheaper but from the articles i've seen on the internet other people have paid less for the same set i have so it was no deal!) well anyways he flipped the contract around and wrote the all sales final clause and lines for us to sign in permanent marker on the back of the contract right over the paragraph about cancellation and being able to cancel in so many days so even if we wanted to read the contract at home then cancel we couldn't have due to the marker written over it! Do not buy from them, they are a scam!

I purchased pots and pans from Royal Prestiage in October 2006. I have been paying monthly a total of $98.00 per month. The pans are horrible pans. First I tried to cancel the purchase and they notified me that I had to cancel the pans (in writing) three days following the purchase. My first thought, pretty hard to do and what a rip off. But that is how the get people to buy into their products and not back out. My husband and I were a newly engaged couple and were sent a notice that if we sat through the seemly simple meeting we would get a free vacation to Cancun.

Wow were we wrong. First it was very high pressure. They tried to scare you by saying other pans were not as safe because the other pots did not have this nifty steam sensor (or whatever it is). These pans will not boil over...These pans can keep food in, they are vacuummed sealed...and on and on like that for a good two hours. Then they said well, Lets just talk That is when it got bad. The lady my husband and I talked to was rude and pushy.

So anyway, we get the pans and we can't return them my husband and I decided whatever we will do what we can with what we have. We were dooped. The first time I used the frying pan it burnt my food and set off the smoke detector and I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE. Now we are coming into the second half of 2008 and we have been paying monthly (although it makes me sick to see the payment go out every month). I did my calculations off of what the lady at the seminar told me, This is all you have to pay [disclose amount] nothing more. Don't ever believe that from anyone at ROYAL PRESTIAGE.

I looked at my payment history thinking okay we will be paid up in October 2008. No I still have an insane amount on my credit, because of the finance charges. All in all we will end up paying over $5,000. For what three pots, two pans, and a few knives. I did not read the entire contract, they make it near to impossible to read the contract with all the talking and shoving things in your face.

Recently I received a call from Royal Prestiage, at work, because I'm a VIP Customer. They wanted me to buy more products. Lets just say I let the guy on the other line have it. I will NEVER buy another product from Royal Prestiage. I will NEVER recommend them to ANYONE. Recently I have sought out help. We will see what happens.

In the end I will pay that company more than $5,000.00. They have caused me some physical problems (mostly due to stress) and the fighting about Royal Prestiage almost caused my husband and I to divorce. We were married only one year. This company caused a lot of problems in my life and they are scam artist.

We were also duped at a Royal Prestige demonstration. We were told that all interest paid over the course of making payments on the cookware would be refunded to use to buy additional products from their catalogue. I called them when we had paid off the amount, and they laughed in my face. They also told me I was on the student rate interest plan, but then I was charged 24%.

Finally, the dishes and glasses we received we of poor quality. The pattern was supposed to feature a thin line of shiny platinum around the edges of all products. What we got was something that looked like it had been painted with a paint marker. I called RP and they said it would come off with vinegar. I've even tried toilet bowl cleaner, and the line is still dull gray and very uneven. It looks horrible.

I was 18 at the time, and a Royal Prestige Salesperson showed a demonstration to my girlfriend and I. I cosigned on the account after hearing the long spill about the health problems linked to other products and how much better they are. I was told food wouldn't stick, it was healthier, it wouldn't cause health problems like those associated with teflon. (He went into great detail about the health risk of teflon and other cookware) Being so young I signed a contract after hearing this salesperson tell me how much my health was at risk.

After me and my girlfriend seperated, the pots and pans went out of my mind. Then about two months ago a lawyer contacted me wanting payment for these in excess of 2000.00 dollars. I don't feel like this is right. I was lied to about the product, I was 18, and only a cosigner. I have some lawyer calling me threatning to sue. I have a wife and child now. I tried making payments, but they wanted way more than was possible.

My wife called and tried to arrange payment, since interest was still racking up. They told her that the company wouldn't let us set up any kind of payment plan. That interest (over 20%) would keep compounding until I paid it off. And she also said that I told her that I had the pots and pans and would be solely responsible for paying the debt. I don't have the pots and pans and they are in both mine and my exes name. I never agreed to paying anything fully.

I don't mind paying my debts when the product preforms and I'm not being charged astronomical amounts. I was only a joint on the account. I can't afford to pay huge amounts each month, or to have interest pile up, or have my accounts garnished. I have a family now.

My credit has a black mark on it. I being threatned about being sued. Interest is still compounding and they won't try to work with me in any way.

We attended a presentation in June 2006 and were very excited and quite impressed by the presenter and his presentation. He wasn't pushy at all and was very informative. We purchased about $2300 worth of pots and pans and they arrived in a timely manner. Everything works just fine, we have no issues with the product. However, one of the huge reasons we bought this product was because we were told several times that we could set up a payment plan and when we paid everything off we would receive the full interest back to use however we liked. Well it came to the point where I was able to pay off the entire bill and I asked about the interest and when I would receive the money back. HyCite laughed at me and said that the information I received was incorrect and they never refund the finance charge. I really wished I would've kept the sales man's card because I had words for him.

It's very disappointing when you spend that much of your hard earned money only to be told that what you were promised is a lie. If we were told that in the first place we would have never purchased this expensive product.

After holding a meeting at the Mariot on Allisonville road, the sales man had me fill out two applications. His reason being so was that I was a student and I would have lower payment rates if I filled out the other contract. So I did, and I have now discovered that he left the other contract on the floor in the hotel. I found this our because somebody had called me and said they had found my contract with my name, address, social security number, date of birth, and phone number on it. My mother attended a free Blood Pressure Screening offered at her low income housing building. Besides the free screening, she was pressured into buying a $500.00 water filter by the boyfriend or husband of the lady performing the screening. I may never have found out about this situation had it not been for the next chapter of this unfortunate story.

The salesman that sold her the filter about two months ago called her on May 1, 2008 and asked if he could come visit her to perform a so-called service check on the filter. When he arrived he didn't even so much as ask about the filter, what he proceeded to do was pressure my mother into buying a $700.00 frying pan! She told me about his visit the following day and I immediately proceeded to cancel the purchase according to the terms specified in this lengthy contract that she signed which contained more wording than a recent contract I signed to buy a $17,000.00 car!

I cancelled the order by phone with the customer service department; I used the cancellation form on their contract as well as sending a certified letter in which I also complained about their sales practices. The company never delivered the frying pan but has now billed her for it and despite my requests that they stop soliciting my mother for further sales, they continue attempts to contact her. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General and I am also contacting the consumer advocacy division of a local news channel and anybody else who will help put a stop to these con artists.

My mom and many of the other residents of her building are on fixed incomes and can't afford being taken advantage of by these predator sales people. I find it ironically sickening that they are using Blood Pressure Screening as their ticket to access their next victim because when people discover what they are getting into, the screeners are assured repeat visits to monitor the high blood pressure from the sales scams that they are perpetrating!

My mom is apparently bound to paying off a $500.00 filter with 18% interest charges and we are now battling the removal of the unauthorized $700.00 charge for the frying pan that wasn't even delivered!

I figured when we received a call saying we won a free trip there was going to be somekind of sales pitch, but I gathered my resolve and sat through it. While the salesman is showing chicken and broccoli burning in his pans, he's telling us of the deadly effects of teflon pans. Alas, a miricle in engineering has provided a secure and safe way to feed the family, the Royal Prestige line of cookware. My wife looks at me all glassy eyed and silently indicates her desire. My gut says no, but when she holds her hand to her belly, I have been taken out of the decision all together. Along with every husband/father to be in that room.

The pans: not worth the price, but not complete crap, I'd say $100 at Wal*Mart for a comparable set. The salesman: a complete liar. Number on card, wrong. Warranty: incomplete, inneffective, not as advertised, worthless. Sanitation of pans: Horrendous. The people you see on this site telling you about heating the pan first are people from RP. It's crap, even the video disk they send you doesn't describe this method. And don't get me started about the eggs.

The financing is a joke, but you'd kind of come to expect that nowadays. We paid it off in two months, and just set this story back in our minds as newly-wed idiot decision #23. If you are just coming home from the presentation, return it, cancel it, something but do it now. Send everything by certified letter, and do not ever fall for this stuff again!

My fiance and I received a call saying we'd won a free trip and $500 gift certificate. They said all we had to do was sit through a presentation about cookware--no pressure to buy. Well, I was stupid enough to believe it wasn't a scam, and we went. The presentation was all about how normal cookware is dangerous to your health and that this Royal Prestige stuff was not going to harm you. We were impressed and decided to sign up for one of their packages. BIG MISTAKE. When we got home later that night, I Googled these people and found out that their presentation was all a lie and that the cookware is terrible. The trips are not really free, and the gift certificate for $500 is to some awful site that only offers a limited selection of plain JUNK. You have to pay astronomical shipping fees just to get something with your certificate. I immediately began to panic and was frantic to find a way to get out of the contract for the bad cookware. Luckily I read the contract thoroughly and saw that since we bought the stuff off site, we had three days to submit something in writing that we did NOT want the stuff.

I read through everything several times to make sure I knew what we needed to do: fill out the form on the back of the contract and send them something in writing that you no longer wish to purchase the cookware. We filled it out that night, and I rushed to the copy place to make copies of everything we had to send to them. In addition to the form, I wrote my own letter stating very specifically and clearly that we did not want their stuff, EVER. Copies of the contract and our finance form accompanied everything. The next day I went to the post office and mailed it all out next-day mail with tracking numbers and everything. The $20 fee at the post office was worth getting out of that contract.

Do not let this happen to you. 21st Century Todays Bride and ROYAL PRESTIGE are a huge scam. Do NOT go to their presentations or believe anything they say. Read the contract completely because they will probably lie to you. I regret ever going to that presentation, but am so grateful that we were able to get out of the mess. We were able to get out of the contract, so the only damage was considerable worry and stress over the whole situation. I just wish that there was some way those people could be stopped forever. No one deserves the hardship they cause.

Well come to find out it was a presentation for this cookware. My husband and I are both Hispanic but are not very fluent with Spanish and this meeting was all Spanish.

They claimed that we were killing ourselves with the cookware we were using and kept asking us that didn't we want our children to be healthy...well of course we said yes and were scared and feeling guilty about all of the chemicals that we were supposedly feeding our kids so we signed up for the 10 pc cookware after being persuaded. We had explained to Mr. Alvarado that we didn't have the money for the down payment and that maybe we would try again once we were more financially stable BUT he kept on pushing for us to borrow money or a credit card from a friend or family member all while filling out the application for us, we signed it and he told us that he would call us in a few days to see if we had gotten the money, he gave us some envelopes just in case we got it and we were on our way.

I never heard from him after that. He did tell me that I had until the 24th of January to send the yellow cancellation slip with our signatures and I did just that. Now just yesterday (February 25th) he came to my home asking what had happened. I told him that I had cancelled and he said that I couldn't. He began to talk about my husband and I being people of our word and that our credit was going to be ruined. For one, I never gave him any down payment and second we sent in the cancellation slip on the 24th as he had said. We never got any merchandise or billing statments. So, are we still bound to this application/contract? He is supposed to call me back tomorrow.

I feel that this man is going to keep on harassing me until I give him the money, he kept asking me do you have at least $50.00. I had to explain to him that my husband is a truck driver and that he takes the money with him, which I don't think was any of his business but didn't want to cause any trouble as I had small children in my home.

I have similar issues as others about Royal Prestige: The free trips and other prizes for sitting in the seminar. The high percentage rates and the cookware that does not do as presented. It was just another bill that I wish my husband and I would have never agreed to because we don't even use the cookware, and it doesn't work as stated in the presentation. I was very disappointed in the whole Royal Prestige presentation. After reading this article, it's making me even angrier. I would not recommend any friends or family to fall for this trick of presentation.

I am a stay at home mom looking for a full time job again. The interest rate is expensive, and they both have us listed on our credit reports when only one of us filled out the application.

So my mom was being pressured my by two ppl now)my sister and i didnt say much.

I just watched this person and payed close attention i did butt in to ask my mom if she was sure about it. I knew she wasnt convinced but unfortunately she gave in. what i recall is that they asked for my moms information such as name adress etc. also 3 phone numbers of friends or relatives, and had to leave at least $40-100 dollars. and asked where she worked. i dont recall them saying what was on the contract and they didnt give her time to go over it. the lady did mention that someone will appear at our home to tell my mom how to properly wash the plates (which this person never showed up).

At the end they gave my mom a card to fill out to be eligible for the car and told her to watch the show El gordo y la Flaca to see if we win. Couple days later, her order shows up. my mom wants to return them and makes phone calls but no response. she gets billed for the first payment, she pays it even though she has not used the plates and are still sitting inside the package box up to this day! She does not want those plates and she does not want to have them. she's not using them so then shes not paying. and wants someone to pick them up.

NOW, my mom is being sued by Royal Prestige and is being harrassed (including me) by an attorney and a guy who keeps pressuring my mom to drop of money to some persons account and calling to tell my mom that someone is going to come to our house to pick up the money. i find it all wierd that they are just pressuring and pressuring my mom to give an amount of money to them. i find all of this very tormenting and it gets me mad. i had a bad gut feeling about it from the start and... i was right.

My fiancee and I went to a seminar at The Courtyard Marriott in Florence, KY in April 2006. We were only going to receive our guaranteed free vacation (that we never ended even taking) but were talked into purchasing pots and pans for a total of $2000.00. Our sales guy Tom went on and on about cancer and diseases and the length of our lives by using regular cookware. We were stunned by the provided information and decided to go through with a purchase. We put no deposit down. After receiving our pots and pans we were very excited to put them to use and start eating healthier and provide our two children with lengthier lives and healthier food.

Trust me when I say THEY DO NOT WORK!! Our food didn't cook correctly and clean up was definitely not as simple as Tom had demonstrated (another one of the reasons we even wanted them. Clean up was to be a breeze!) The food we prepared or tried to anyway would stick and burn. There were nights I would have to pull out my old cookware and start dinner all over again just so we could still have dinner.

Within a week of trying to use these great pots and pans we decided to call Tom and explain our situation. He said there was nothing he could do. I tried calling the so called customer service line and ask if we could return the merchandise and stop payments. They said no, of course. After about nine or so months of keeping up our payments we decided we weren't going to pay anymore. The pots and pans have been on my porch in a box for almost a year. I refuse to bring them back in my house. I get calls and letters threatening to get sued for non-payment. Oh and on our invoices would be a total balance that never went down from the original balance of $2000.00 and when I asked Tom about that he said it was because the 9 months that we did make payments was for the interest, not the pots and pans. We feel very manipulated and even a little stupid for believing Tom's sales pitch. BUYER BEWARE!

We have two small children, one of which has been sick since birth. The months that we did pay for the merchandise could have been used towards more important bills such as our child's medical problems. Now I may be getting sued for merchandise that doesn't work and is pretty much junk. It's a scary thought!

My fiance and I attended a cooking presentation following a bridal show in Houston last year. The cookware was offered by Royal Prestige. During the presentation, food was cooked and offered for sampling. Also, the cookware was passed around and we were encouraged to touch/feel it as much as we wished. At the end, the presenter said that the cookware was available for purchase and that he would be glad to go over pricing options and financing options at our request. It was the complete opposite of what I had read on many websites about the sales tactics from this company.

As for the product itself, it has been everything it was promised to be. We cook the overwhelming majority of our food using their so-called waterless, greaseless method and it tastes great. The cookware does seem to be a bit pricey, but considering how quick the other stuff we had bought from nameless big-box discount retailers wore out, got scratched, and left Teflon pepper in our food, it has been worth the upgrade.

Given that it is expensive, it is not for everyone. But I will say that the cookware is very high-quality (so far) and that I am one person who is VERY happy with my purchase.

I am currently engaged to be married in Sept of 2008. On October 23 I received a call from Royal Prestige stating that I won a prize of a 3-night, 4-day trip to Mexico, Bahamas or Dominican Republic. I was told I won a sweepstakes I entered at David's Bridal. I am a registered bride with David's Bridal but have no recollection of entering into a sweepstakes with them. In order to redeem the prize it was a must to bring my fiance, and all we had to do is sit in for a 1-hour presentation on cookware. The presentation lasted nearly three hours and was at a hotel. During the presentation the district manager Gene Confredo made claims that we were basically killing ourselves if we did not use their pots. I decided to purchase the cookware and pay with my credit card but he insisted that I use their finance plan instead.

I have a signed contract that states that I have 3 days from purchase date to make any cancellations. I spoke recently to District Manager Gene Confredo about canceling my order, and he convinced me to take a deferred payment plan that will allow me to make no payments until February of 2008. I some how felt pressured and agreed to those new terms. I then called back again and told him that I wished to cancel my order. He stated that it wouldn't be possible for me to cancel my order because after I got off the phone with him he confirmed my order and that the order is being shipped out to me. I told him that upon receiving the delivery I will simply send back the items unopened and cover the cost of shipping the items back if I have to. His response to me was that the best he can do for me at this time due to the fact the items has already been sent out to me is give me 30% off on my order which will lower the charges down to $899 in place of giving me the free cutlery gift that I originally ordered with my cookware set. I questioned him because if my order has been shipped out cookware, gifts and all how can he possibly make this adjustment?

I am distraught that I just took 2,000 dollars out of our unborn son's mouth and could have used that money towards our wedding or most importantly our baby. I'm angry because it's only been a day since I purchased the cookware and am being forced to commit to purchasing the cookware when I am well within the time span they allow to make cancellations. It almost as if they stripped me of my consumer rights.

I ran across this website by accident when I was looking for Hy Cite's website to make my monthly payment. I found myself reading all of the articles about Royal Prestige and Hy Cite. I found them all eerily similiar. My husband and I went to one of the hotel presentations in the Chicago area last fall prior to our wedding. I admit that we were naive and after the purchase I realize actually quite stupid.

Our presenter utilized the tactic that was mentioned here, the health factor. He did state that teflon caused cancer and these pans are the safest way to cook for our families. He stated that the teflon pans produced formaldihyde and that was deadly. In hindsight, I absolutely see the reason they do the pitch they do to the people they give it to.

My husband and I had never been married before and looking forward to our life together and for some reason we both fell for the health pitch and how wonderful the pans were supposed to be. We have followed the directions to the letter and still prefer different pans. Everything DOES stick to the pan no matter how you use it. If I was able to go back, I without a second thought, would never have purchased them.

Secondly, the billing is deceptive to say the least. As in other transactions I read about, we were never told of the interest rate besides he did say it would be a competitive one. The statement that I receive every month conveniently does not list additional fees though one would think there weren't any since the payment received is listed.

Any normal bill-paying adult would make the assumption when the payment is listed, any additional additions would be listed as well. But my husband found out that when we were a day late, Hy Cite added on $27.00 fee to a $59.00 monthly payment. We had no idea this was added on since they just tacked it on to the balance owed. It certainly was our fault for getting the payment there late but they hide the fee so consumers are not aware.

Personally I know if I saw the late fee added was $27 I would make a point to not be late. The late fee is totally disproportionate to the payment, but more importantly, they made the conscious decision to hide the fee form the consumer.

I've been rambling on too long. This topic just gets me very heated up and frustrated that we were so stupid to fall for and give our hard earned money to an awful business like Royal Prestige/Hy Cite. I know we will never do so again and will certainly tell anyone who will listen the same.

I had 24 hours to get out of the contract which I thought I did by calling and returning the china to the company, Royal Prestige. About 5 years later when I paid off my first car, it was taken from me by a collection agency representing Royal Prestige. The sheriff had papers and called a tow truck to take my car when I was leaving for work one morning. I had to pay all court costs and the $600 before I could get my car back.

Never sign a contract for anything! It was a learning experience. I can't even look at nor use the china because as beautiful as it is it just brings back bad memories. Before I sign my name to anything, I just imagine the person on the other end of the table taking my car away and that's all it takes. No dotted lines!

She is extremely rude to me. I do not want her to call me again. I ordered the product, via financing, and was educated by the sales person that this is a one time deal, and was given 3 days to try out the product..if not satisfied...send it back...I never opened the package, and sent it back 6 times...via UPS...they continued to call me and say that I could not cancel, unless cancelled with in the 3 days of signing. That is not what the sales person told me the day of the presentation. Found out he quit after selling 12 products that day...and was a faulty sales person.

My credit score is now under 600 because of this...I was at 675 middle score before this, and it has hit my score hard after the fact.

The cookware does work like advertized, but the tactics that were used are exactly what Royal Prestige is claiming that they don't do.

I got a phone call one night from a company called Table Charm in Toronto, Canada. They had told me that I had won free accomodations for 2 nights for any hotel in North America from a raffle I had entered from a wedding show I attended a few months before. Of course I felt so lucky and excited for the opportunity, All I had to do was to drop in for an information session about their products and at the end I would recieve my voucher. I mentioned it to a couple of my friends and they warned me to be careful and that it may be a scam.

I went along with my boyfriend and immediately we felt pressured by the sales reps and they offered another opportunity to include a free 4-night cruise with a purchase. We both thought it was a great opportunity and went for it. We thought the price was incredibly high for cookware but thought, with the cruise, it's worth it, we can just finance it and we'll be ok. Immediately after we felt uneasy about our purchase and searched any articles we could find about Table Charm and it being a scam. We came across a few articles about people not bothering to got the the session but nothing about it being an actual scam.

3 months later, after receiving 2 bills, I've noticed how ridiculously high the finance charge is at 24%. For a $1700 10 pc. set and paying a minimum of $34 a month I'm basically paying off a mere $2 a month with the finance charge. It'll take me a lifetime to pay off the balance at this rate. I just recently came across this website and read all the different experiences that other people have had with this Royal Prestige cookware and I'm deeply disturbed at this point and I don't know what to do. I haven't even used the pots yet and I already hate them. I need some assistance getting out of this and I don't know where to begin.

My fiance and I received a phone call saying that we had been selected to receive a free vacation and all we had to do was attend a one hour demonstration for pots and pans. I was so excited about the free vacation so I begged my fiance to attend the demo with me. We attended the demo that lasted almost three hours we were so amazed at all the wonderful benefits of this revolutionary cookware that we purchased the 10 piece cookware set along with the cooking utenciles and bakeware for a total of $3700!!

We have had our cookware for almost 3 months and we absolutely hate it! We were told that our cook time would not only be cut in half but clean up would be such a breeze! They led us to believe that teflon was linked to breast cancer and Alzheimer's disease, both of which my grandparents suffer from. They told us that you can cook 2 large frozen chicken breasts in 10 minutes and the cooking health system would help us lose weight and increase our value of life.

This horrible cookware and the accessories do not cook anything in 10 minutes. We did not lose any weight, in fact we have gained weight from having to eat out so much because of the hassel of dealing with the cookware. My clean-up time hasn't been decreased only increased because it takes hours of scrubbing to get the pots clean. It takes a good hour to boil 4 quarts of water on high! We feel as though we were not only misled into believing lies about how bad other cookware was but we also feel as though we were lied to about the quality, performance, and benefits of this so-called health system cookware.

We are having to pay $127 a month for something we hate and cannot use. By the time our loan is paid off we will have paid a total of $3155.64 with an 18% interest rate. We are newlyweds and we have a two year old, this money could be going to pay for Daycare.

After receiving a phone call that we had won a raffle, we were told that we had won a $50 gift certificate, a $500 gift certificate, and a free vacation, but would have to attend a presentation in order to receive them. My husband (then my fianc) had to attend with me in order to receive the $500 gift certificate. Both of us attended the presentation where two other couples were present. The salesman pitched that regular pots and pans with a Teflon coating posed extreme health risk and that non-coated pans such as aluminum would contaminate food and cause severe health problems.

As part of his demonstration he wiped a black residue out of an aluminum pan. We were then shown a video which preached the health benefits of cooking with Royal Prestige Cookware and the negatives (particularly the hazards of other cookware such as Teflon) of other cookware. We were informed that prolonged use of other cookware could lead to cancerous tumors, high blood pressure, and birth defects.

What he didn't tell us, was that having to deal with Hy Cite Financing would raise our blood pressure more than anything else. The prices were astoundingly high, even after we forfeited the $50 gift certificate to receive a free set of tableware... which we were charged for. The salesman was very forceful, assailing us and telling us that we should buy these products if we loved our family and didn't want to spend more on other, lesser cookware.

He also told me that I would receive a special 'student discount' in which I would only have to pay $20 a month with a low, 1% interest rate. What he failed to mention, was that it was a $40 payment with a 19% interest rate. We were also uninformed about how long we had to cancel the contract, my husband specifically recalls being told that we could cancel at any time. We signed the contract on a Saturday, meaning that 'IF' we had been informed that Royal Prestige only had a 3-day cancellation period, the only day we could have called them would have been on Monday, the third day from the purchase, because none of the offices would have been open on the weekend.

We didn't receive all of our cookware at once, either. First only a couple pans showed up, and we were told that everything else was on back-order. The first bill did not arrive for at least two (2) months. At which time, I was in the Marshall Island for school and my husband was conducting Army training in another state. I knew our first payment was due in June, so I contacted Royal Prestige. The only way to get ahold of them before the first payment was due was via their customer service email. They replied that they had a possible match for our account number and that we would have to call them. I was unable to call them due to the time difference. I had relayed that information to the customer service office.

In the meantime, my husband was receiving harassing phone calls from Hy Cite Financing while he was training, stating that we needed to get in contact with them. It was apparent that one end was not talking to the other because we already had been in contact with them since before the first payment was due. Afterwards, I finally made a phone call despite the large time difference and demanded that they not only make that payment but the next two (2) monthly payments in one statement via my credit card... which they claimed they don't do, so that I would not have to make a phone call again while I was abroad.

It is increasingly difficult to make on-time payments to a company that doesn't allow for online payments or over-the-phone payments, especially when you must wait on a billing statement that shows up five (5) days before it is due. There were several times in which our bill showed up days before, and sometimes after, the payment was due. That is 'IF' the bill showed up at all. Several times we would make a payment, and then the bill would not show up for the next month, and then we would get yet more harassing phone calls stating that we had missed a months payment.

When we talked to the representatives on the phone, they increasingly tried to pressure us to set up automatic payments through my bank account, but a company that can't even get a bill to me on time will not get anywhere near my routing number. Some of the harassing phone calls were even made to both of our parents, and other relatives that didn't even have the same last name. How this company gets ahold of this information is astonishing, especially since it is illegal to contact them.

Finally, I became so fed up with their collection calls and high interest rates without getting anywhere on the principal amount, that I took out a loan through my bank and sent a check for the full amount stating Paid In Full to Hy Cite. That was just over three (3) months ago, and they are still calling us stating that they have not received any payments and threatening to leave a bad mark on my credit. After checking with the bank, we discovered that Hy Cite has not cashed the check yet. After my husbands parents were contacted AGAIN, they said that our dispute could not be settled through the mail. So, pray tell, how can we settle the account if they don't use mail, internet, or phone? It sounds to me that they just want to get ahold of our bank account.

My finacee (now husband) and I went to a bridal show in Newport and went around filling out forms. When we got to the Royal Prestige table, a free vacation sounded nice, so we filled out the form. A few weeks later, I received a call saying that I had won a free vacation to my choice of three places, just attend this seminar. We discussed it and almost didn't go. I wish that we didn't.

My husband went to school for cooking, so he immediatly fell in love with the pans. The presentor talked about health risks if you use other pans. How other pans can cause cancer and altheziers (which really scared me, my grandad had just passed away). But I was really put off by the price. I was already working two jobs and trying to save for our honeymoon and house. I am also a part time college student. I pay my own way, which is quite expensive. My FI was trying to pay off his school loans. But somehow or another, we ended up with $1500.00 with pans and bakewear. The bakewear is horrible and we use my husband's left over from cooking school. Everything sticks to pans! I do't bother cooking vegetables in the pans, it would take too long.

Before we got the pans, within the week of ordering them, we sat down and figured out our budget. The pans didn't fit into the budget. I wrote Royal Prestige a long email explaining the situation. That even though we both work a lot, I am a college student and we think that my education and putting a roof over our heads is more important than some pans. They didn't agree. What they did do, is lower our payments. They contacted my school (against my will) and confirmed my student statis and gave us a student rate. A whooping &68.00 a month! I told them that I didn't want the pans, they were in the box, please take them back. No can do.

So, now as of today, we have had these horrible pans for about a year and a half. And each month, if a bill has to go unpaid, it is the pans. But, if you don't pay them, they call and harass you constantly. We were in a major car accident a year ago, putting my husand out of work for two months, and putting us way behind on everything. We almost lost our house. But they don't understand that, they don't care. They just want their money. My husband has a payment deal with one of the reps, Rob. Rob actually told him that if his contracts didn't get paid on time, he wouldn't get his bonus! I said I hope he never gets a bonus, I want it, for all the trouble they have given us. Even though my husband has the deal with Rob, his employees constantly call us at work and home. My husband has gotten numerous calls at work and his supervisors are starting to get annoyed! Hopefully, we will be able to pay the bill off soon, and along with that, file major complaints against some of their employess. And when that is done, I will package up and send back those pans to them. My husband has even mentioned to Rob in their discussions how horrible the pans are and he just brushed him off. It's like, they don't care about their customers happiness, all they care about is the money!

As most places, they should have a 30 day return policy, not 3. In the 3 days after the show, we were so busy that we didn't have time to think about the pans. 30 days is a better option. But apparently, they want to trap people!

I got a call saying that I was eligible to receive a free cruise if I sat through a short presentation for Royal Prestige. I didn't even know what Royal Prestige was, but hey, for a free cruise and a few hours in the car alone with my fiance and no kids-- I agreed. What could hurt?

I wasn't in need of anything so I knew that whatever they were selling I wouldn't buy. However I didn't know my fiance very well, I guess. I learned that day that he was excited over cookware and knives and etc. So he was tempted to buy and so we did... $3,000 dollars worth.

The pots and pans had to go in my name because I had better credit and because I was a senior in college, which made me eligible for a "special deal". I didn't have to pay for the first 6 months, plus I got lower payments for a year-- since they understood how difficult it is being a college student. Normally, I wouldn't have fallen for such a scam, but they told us that the Teflon coating on our pots and pans was linked to horrible things and with two children, that scared me.

In a month I received a bill - before I even got the products. I rebutted the bill, saying I wasn't supposed to pay for 6 months. They said that was nowhere in my contract. I tried to cancel, but they said the package was already in shipment and I could no longer cancel.

I have explained that I am not comfortable with strangers in my house (in an effort to get them off the phone) and the latest answer is that your husband will be there to protect you. At the end of the presentation, we were exposed to the highest pressure sales people I've ever encountered. We even went so far as to say We can't afford this right now, and they pushed further with their financing plans. Fortunately I'm a very savvy shopper and know when to force a stern NO. The demonstrators then turned to the next people without even saying thanks.

Of course being that we were paying for the wedding ourself we though O! A chance to actually have a honey moon! So we got up real early in the morning for the first show they had promised us breakfast also...which was gone by the time we got there (15 minutes early) we then sat in and watched the schpeal they presented saying how great the pans were and how if we bought them today we would get a set of either knives or plates for free and a vacation cruise to cancun! They showed us how to cook different veggies and had us sample the food when it was done. My fiance was estactic! The veggies tasted great and she wanted to lose some weight. The sales person said it was better that way because the water did not steam out all the nutrients in the veggies. They told us how much it would cost per month but never said how long it would take. When I asked how long it would take they said it would just be the $95 a month until they were all paid off. We bought 3k worth of pots and pans getting extras the more we bought. They had other people there that had told us they were shopping for pots and pans and said that the amount they were looking at was like 5k for a good set of pans. We had never been shopping for pans at all since we still had about 2 years until the wedding! We were also told that if we wanted to change the style of plates we could do that at anytime as long as we sent them back in. We have yet to do that since the wedding is still 7 months away. We have not used the pans yet and from what I have read I am not very excited to break them out! They said if we were not satisified with the product we could return it all as long as we kept the packaging and sent it back. Again from what I have read I am scared to even open them and feel like I should just put them in a show case! We got our first bill and realized that there was interest! They had told us that we would only have to pay until the amount was paid off and did not say anything about it being a credit situation! The APR was 24%!!!

We have been trying to pay off the pans for more then a year and a half! We are paying for our wedding on our own and need about the same amount that we owe for the pans to be able to actually get married. After we got the pans we thought we could return them and get our money back if we did not like them...guess not. So we are out 3k.

In the middle of Feburary I attended a Bridel Expo and signed up to win a free trip to Mexico. A week later I received a call from American Prestige saying I won the drawing. All I had to do was sit threw a presentation on cookware and glassware. When arriving at the hotel (Signature Inn) my fiance and I sat and waited for the presentation to start. After hearing horror stories about other brands of pots and pans and the diseases they cause, my fiance and I decided to purchase the cookware. We had to purchase a 7 pc set (which is only 4 pots and 3 lids) and dishware in order to purchase the pieces. I only wanted one or two but they wouldn't sell it that way. We paid $2099 and the dishware was 'free.' We were told that no one has ever returned their cookware and even the salesperson recommended it to her sons. They claimed food wouldn't stick to the pot and it's a healthier way to cook. When we received the pots 2-3 weeks later, we tested them. I followed all instructions and they worked fine. After the first time the food started to stick to the bottom of the pan and burn. When I called today to return the merchandise I was told I couldn't because the 3-day return policy expired. We didn't have the cookware the first three days! They did say that I could have someone come out and show me how to cook with the pans, but I know how to use them, they just aren't working as advertised. I highly believe that it was a pressured sale and I felt obligated to buy. After reading the complaints on this website, I'm afraid that my credit will be hurt. I just want to return the pots because they were falsely advertised.

The woman I spoke with on the phone listed all the things that were included: airfare, food, drinks, however when we attended the meeting we were told that airfare was not included. We were so furious that we left the meeting.

I would never buy any products associated with this company due to their dishonesty.

In 2005, my wife and I attended their "scaminar" and believed all the hype. We bought a set on the spot, and got free gifts of knife sets and travel vouchers. A month later, the stuff arrived, and we packed it away for our future home. Fast forward 2 years. We start using the pans and to my surprise they do not work as promised.

The rep I called said it was too late to return them and couldn't help me. I began cooking as I always have, with the correct amount of oil and heat for the recipe, not the RP way, and they worked okay.

I was not informed that it was a sales demonstration for ridiculously over-priced cookware. We attended the so called demonstration and there was another couple in attendance, not an overwhelming response.

After an hour of high pressure, we signed up for a basic set of cookware and knives. I had buyer's remorse immediatley following and attempted to cancel the order. Of course, no one was available to take my calls until after the 3 day cancellation window. Now we are stuck with this useless cookware. I paid off the finance company as they were charging $25 a month in interest and I knew we had already been suckered into the purcahse to start with so I was not going to be suckered into paying them another several hundred dollars in interest. All I want is to return the cookware and get my money back. Is this possible? I want to make others aware of this situation as I am appalled at the way this Celebrity Crystal and HyCite finance do business and I am ashamed to have been sucked into it.

The primary consequence is that I paid approximately $1350 for knives and cookware that is useless for practical living.

A couple of weeks later we had some unfortunate things happen to our family where we have had to extremley cut back on our expenses. I called their customer service to cancel and they said there was nothing they could do. In June 2005, my fiancee received a phone call telling her she had won a free honeymoon. She was told that all she had to do to claim her prize was attend a cookware demonstration. On July 14, 2005, we attended the show.

Being young and inexperienced, we fell for the extremely high-pressure sales job and signed a contract to purchase a 7-piece cookware set, plus some extras - for the grand total of $2,045.40. During the 1 1/2 hour drive home that evening, we realized how over-priced this product was. The very next day, I tried to call to cancel, but could never get through. I either got a busy signal or the phone rang without being answered. I finally got an answering machine and left a message telling Royal Prestige that we wanted to cancel.

A week later, someone finally returned my call and told me I could not cancel. On 9/2/05, I talked with my father about the situation and he called the finance company, HyCite Finance, and spoke with a man by the name of Edwing. he told my father there was a 3-day cancellation policy. My father then called Royal Prestige Cookware and spoke to Marty Cox, President of Royal Prestige Cookware. Marty Cox confirmed to my father that there was a 3-day cancellation policy.

We pulled my cell phone bill and it showed that I HAD called Royal Prestige the next day. I had the merchandise, but had been advised not to open the box if I was still attempting to return it. I also was advised to make the monthly payment to HyCite Finance in order to avoid having any blemish on my credit - and I have done that. On 12/19/05, I filed a complaint against Royal Prestige Cookware with the Missouri State Attorney General's Office, but I never heard from them.

On 7/16/06, I filed a complaint against Royal Prestige with the Better Business Bureau. On 8/21/06, the BBB sent an e-mail to me stating they had made numerous attempts to contact the business. On 8/23/06, I received an e-mail from the BBB stating they had received a response from the company. As I read through Royal Prestige Cookware's response, I could not believe they had the audacity to say that I had made false accusations in an attempt to break the sales contract!

My fiance and I, who were both having a hard time with money for the wedding, were pretty excited so we agreed to going to the show to claim our prizes. We got there and we're very impressed with the pots and pans and the food that than man presenting them cooked with them. However, we both knew that we could not afford them and had no intention of purchasing them.

The man presenting them though insisted that we sit down and talk with him about it. He then pressured my fiance into purchasing an 8 piece set and promised us another vacation worth $1600 for purchasing. My fiance, Donnie, is a student at the Nascar Tech Insitute in Mooresville, NC so the man also promised donnie a student discount. We did receive the discount and our payments have only been $26 a month. We actually just made the first payment and when we got the bill, we were outraged by the interest rate that we were not told about.

When we recieved the pots and pans (3 weeks after we ordered them) we only got 4 pots and pans. They counted the lids as part of the 8 piece set. We also got a letter in our box stating that one of the lids was being dropshipped at a later date and that was almost a month and a half ago. We contacted them a week ago and were told it would be shipped out that next day and we have yet to recieve it.

We are also not impressed with the cookware itself. The man who sold it to us said that it was impossible for anything to stick to it and everything I have cooked has stuck to it and they also burn everything very quickly. It is ridiculous. They refuse to take them back because of their 3 day rule. We signed the contract and understand that it was stated in that but we were not told and we were rushed to sign the contract before we could read it. We purchased the king size royal prestige pots and pans that cost our family over $2500.00 dollars. Food that we cooked using the royal prestige pots and pans stuck to the pans and burned every meal that we cooked making the food completely unedible. Additionally, the cookware handles and steam buttons scoured within three months of scarcely using the royal prestige cookware. The handles broke, within months of light cooking, using the royal prestige pots and pans. Moreover, the steam button wires poped out of place causing the pots and pans to become unusable.

I contacted the Royal Prestige office and could never reach anyone. I left various messages and no one returned my phone calls. It wasn't until my neighbor Aurora received a invitation to attend a Royal Prestige showing at the Mariott Hotel that I was able to reach anyone at Royal Prestige. I called the number and spoke with Edgar, a Royal Prestige Sales Manager and promised him that I would show up at the Mariott Hotel with my burned, unusable 12 inch skillet. I also promised to tell the people not to purchase Royal Prestige Cookware unless, he would replace my cookware as promised and guranteed by Royal Prestige.

Jorgelina, a Royal Prestige sales consultant visited my home immediately and apologized for the inconvenience. She said that she would replace my 12 inch skillet and took the damaged 12 inch skillet with her that day. The next day she returned to my home and stated that the 12 inch skillet was discontinued and that there was only a 10 inch skillet available for me as a replacement. There was an enormous price difference betwern my old 12 inch skillet and the 10 inch skillet (about $200.00) offered as a replacement. I asked if she could instead replace my 12 inch skillett with an electric skillet, with a difference in price being only $50.00. Jorgelina disagreed with me and said she would only replace my 12 inch skillet with the electric one if I paid an additional $160.00 out of pocket.

I could not afford to pay the additional money, so I told Jorgelina to instead replace the 12 inch skillet with the Royal Prestige 12 inch paella pot. To this day, neither Jorgelina nor Edgar returned to my home with a replacement for the 12 inch skillet. Edgar simply sent me four (4) steam buttons and one black handle; which I could not use since I no longer had the skillet that Jorgelina Sanchez took from my home. I've tired reaching them via telephone various times and no one ever returned my phone calls. It has been 1 year since this happened.

I have suffered a tremendous economic loss using the Royal Prestige Cookware. I am out of the $2500 dollars I spent on the unusable cookware. And I have lost a tremendous amount of money buying food to cook in the Royal Prestige pots and pans, that became unedible. Royal Prestige sale consultants and managers, took advantage of my health problems: morbid obesity to scare me into buying their cookware.

In order to claim the gifts we had to attend a 90 minute presentation for prestige cookware.

I initially set up an appt but proceeded to do some online research. The EAShoppingSpree.com website appears legitimate, however, you cannot gain full access to the website unless you have the code that is on the voucher you recieve at the presentation. I found many complaints about them online concerning their scam. In one complaint I found a code from another victim that granted me access to the inner website. In there, I found that they were not the quality items Ralph had stated but merely common everyday brands being sold for 3x what you could buy them at a normal store. In addition, they charge ridiculously high P&D fees for handling and postage b/c you are buying direct.

I called the phone number back to ask Ralph additional questions. I did not intially tell him I had done additional research but instead asked him more detailed questions about the gifts. He continued to make it sound like everything was free and did not confirm that there were additional fees until I specifically asked that question. At this point I told him that I had doen some research on the offer and that I found lots of negative feedback. He then proceeded to say, well if you knew all this then why didn't you just call to cancel your meeting instead of wasting time asking questions that you already knew the answers to?

I explained that I just wanted to get answers from him and to find out more about the company. I also asked him more about the vouchers and how they were used at which point I, for the first time, was made aware that they weren't vouchers for the actual hotel but instead vouchers for VIP Vacations in which you had to submit your vouchers and requests and they would arrange your lodging for you. I then asked Ralph why he didn't tell me those things during the first conversation and he said you didn't ask. I told him I didn't appreciate his lack of honesty and he said that if I wanted to know I should have asked the questions. I tried explaing that sometimes people don't know enough to ask the proper questions and that is why I called back. At this point, he said something along the lines of 'so are you going to attend or not, because this conversation is over'. I told him that I was not going to attend and he then hung up on me.

My wife and I recently read an article from Lisa Wade McCormick about Royal Prestige cookware. We had the exact same experience as those mentioned in the article. My wife was suckered into purchasing a crappy set of pots and pans for $2400 at an astounding 24% APR. When I learned about the transaction we did everything possible to negotiate a solution, return the items at a loss, etc. but these folks are well trained in combating this. I would expect that half or more of their jobs is telling people there is nothing they can do.

In Lisa's article, the president states that their cookware is of Williams Sonoma quality or better. As far as I have seen, the top of the line cookware at Williams Sonoma comes in at about $500 and it is beautiful. Nowhere near the $2,400 we were charged. Why would the President cite this as comparable when the price is so far off?

The "world's finest cookware" is anything but fine. We are stuck with a payment of $47 per month when the finance rate of 24% means interest of $51.79 per month. So we would be going further in debt the longer we make the minimum payment. We are newly married and this definately caused us to ramp up arguments about finances very early. The bottom line is that we cannot afford this.

The distributor informed us that he could not release us from the contract; he said that the items had been sent and if we did not pay he would sue us. We didn't want to start an argument or make accusations, so we just told him we needed the money back, not wanting to outright call him a liar. The items arrived six days later.
Then a representative from Global Financing began calling us, even though the financial company had not yet paid Royal Prestige for the order. Now the two men are trying to strongarm me into agreeing to pay the remainder of the $1700 and accept the merchandise, despite the fact that I don't want it, haven't used it or even opened the box. In late June the distributor called me and informed me it would be "illegal" to release me from the contract. When I refused to succumb to his scare tactics again, he yelled at me.
Yesterday, the distributor and loan officer called offering me a deal - if I allowed the distributor my $650 AND sent back the products, he would release me from the contract. When I called the Royal Prestige Customer "Service" (if that's what you want to call it) line, they informed me that everything was up to the salesman and that I was "lucky" that he was making such an offer.
I had discovered I was pregnant with my first child just a few days before the presentation, and I bought the items because I was convinced that my current pots and pans could kill my baby. When I found out I'd been lied to, I was sad more than anything. We really need that money, but we spent it on cookware because we thought we were making an investment in our family's future.

Danielle didn't just write to us, she kept hounding Royal Prestige and also contacted local television stations in the Orlando area. She also wrote to Royal Prestige's corporate headquarters in Wisconsin. the company offered her a complete refund and also said that its salesmen have been warned not to mention Alzheimer's in their pitches.

We ordered a set of Royal Prestige kitchenware in 1999. First, we never got the full package we were guaranteed. Then, recently when applying for a home equity loan we found out that our credit report shows an outstanding balance of $1400. This in spite of the fact that we have statements and copies of paid checks showing the account paid off as of October 2002. When we called the Royal Prestige office in Wisconsin they told us we must contact our salesman in Tennessee because our account was turned over to collection. The checks were made to, and cashed by, Royal Prestige.

We have never been notified of this debt or had anyone attempt to collect this money. The only reason we are now aware of it is that we have applied for a loan and it has appeared on our credit report. My husband and I have repeatedly tried to contact the Tennessee office but have yet to speak to anyone other that the receptionist, and the Wisconsin division refuses to discuss.

My husband and myself went to a seminar by Royal Prestige kitchenware and purchased a set of pots. When the pots got shipped to us via UPS, we reviewed the total cost and returned the set. We notified Royal Prestige's customer service that the pots were being returned. They told us that we couldn't return them because we had only two days after signing the contract to cancel. Now after all this time this is showing up on my credit report and I need to get it resolved. If I don't have any other choice then I'm willing to pay some of the total on a payment plan but not the full $983. I will do this only if they are willing to resend the pots.

A Royal Prestige kitchenware salesman came to show me a demonstration of a water filter. I wasn't interested in buying one until he told me that every time I needed a filter change I would get one for free. About six months later I needed a new filter and called the company to receive a free one. However, when I called I was informed that I would need to pay $100 every time I needed a new filter. I feel that I have been cheated; I will never again buy anything from this company.

I ordered a pan set from Royal Prestige kitchenware on the premise that the order could be cancelled within seven business days. I called to cancel on the seventh day and was told that I was ineligible for a refund. I argued with the lady, telling her that the form I had signed had no disclosure stating no refunds. Apparently, after I had signed the purchase agreement, the salesman had stamped my purchase agreement with a red stamp stating that no refunds would be allowed. He then slid the paper into an envelope. I didn't see the stamp until the lady on the phone told me where to check. I was completely livid.
This should be in the purchase agreement, not on a cheesy stamp some sly salesperson can add to a form.
Our salesperson said we could call at any time with questions. So of course I called about his little tricky move; he never returned my call, and the company did nothing to try and resolve the situation.

We ended up paying approximately $3,000 for a set of kitchenware. Two days' worth of free vacation promised to us cost $150 to book, and there were additional fees at the resorts. I had to leave work early the day I tried to resolve the issue with the company because I was so upset that I broke down crying. $3,000 is over one months' salary for me.

My fianc and I received a call stating that we had won a free trip for our honeymoon along with other "cool stuff" and that all we had to do was attend an event that showcased Royal Prestige cookware. We decided to attend the event and see what we could get. After a wonderful display of what these pots and pans could do, we decided to take an offer giving us $300 worth of cookware for free. We found out that the free cookware only came if you bought a set. We were both leery about it until the salesman pulled out a calculator and said we could get the $1700 set for about $1350 after the $300 rebate.

After paying a $150 down payment, I had $1200 left to pay at a "low" interest rate. He told me my payments would be $50 dollars a month for two years which didn't seem like too bad of a deal. Well, this "low" interest rate ended up being over 18 percent and I have now paid $50 a month for almost one year but still owe them almost $1000. Not only that but we were promised 100 percent satisfaction guaranteed. Well, after one week we were very displeased with our purchase and after a number of calls to Royal Prestige about our problem, we were told that we were well beyond the timeframe to cancel an order, which is three days after the original purchase. I didn't even receive the cookware until two weeks after the original purchase!

I wanted to purchase a set of Royal Prestige pots and pans in exchange for an all-inclusive trip to two or three locations. I was told that we would receive our merchandise after two weeks. After two weeks had passed we did not receive anything, so we gave the representative a call to ask what was holding things up. We were told that they tried to get us financed through a company and it was declined. They wanted to check with another finance company; at this point we told them not to send it to another credit company and to simply return our deposit. They agreed, stating that we would have our deposit back at the end of the week.

Last night we received a phone call from a finance company stating that we had been approved for the set of pots and pans! I will be calling them today because I am sure that there is not a refund check in the mail.
