After spending 4-6 hours listening to a competitor tell us why we should join their family and playing the stereotype “calling my manager to get you a great one time offer if you sign right now” game it was a breath of fresh air dealing with Renewal by Anderson. The person came in, educated us, gave us some ideas and costed it out. No hard sell, just info. We got to decide. The install was easy and the crew was efficient, neat and friendly. Their work was high quality.

Renewal by Andersen reacted to my request quite quickly. There were a lot of manufacturers who didn't wanna try to accommodate the exterior stucco on the house and in talking with Renewal, they would work around that and wouldn't cause any damage to it. The rep wanted a couple of hours of our time and at the time, I thought this seemed like a long journey. But it worked out quite well. He was able to explain everything and answer any questions and seemed very knowledgeable. He had products that we could look at, the way things operate and what they look like. So that was great. I was impressed with his knowledge and I didn't feel like it was a high-pressure situation. He presented it well and it wasn't something like you have to do this now or you can only do 2 or 3 or 15. He gave us the option of whatever we wanted to do.
The installers were fabulous. I couldn't ask for two people who knew the product and what to look for. There were four of us in the house. My sister lives upstairs and I live downstairs and the way that the installers presented themselves and the way that they did the job didn't impact us, as far as living there. That's a lot of it, especially when it's noisy. They went out of their way to make sure everything was fine, that they cleaned up well and that they didn't have an issue with us being there.
What’s telling of their ability is, that the three doors came and each one of them was scratched or damaged. It had something to do with the framing mechanism and while it would have been great to have them there and finish everything up, they said they don't put in damaged products with even a scratch, even if we say it's okay, and they have to warranty it. So, they sent those back and the doors have not been installed yet. They're coming on the 21st of this month. I've had a lot of construction work done on my home and I was in construction and I’m impressed with the ability and the directness in the way that they handled the customer. As far as clean up and not inconveniencing anybody, it was great. The price was expensive but the product is superior.

Renewal by Andersen did a good job. I got 37 windows and I'm happy with them. A couple of years ago, I went to a showroom in Louisville. It was on a Saturday and the guy who was in there wasn't helpful. He was busy with some other stuff. So, I looked around a little bit, took a brochure home and never did anything. Before I pulled the trigger this time, I called my buddy who was in the window business at one time. He didn't say, "Hey, call the guy that I used to represent." He said, "I got a few windows replaced from Renewal by Andersen." So, I called them.
The presentation was fine. The installation went well. The guys were conscientious. I made sure that they put stuff down. I made sure that there were drop cloths in the right places. I went around them with a vacuum cleaner on occasion just to keep stuff off the floor. It gets to be messy. I felt it was a fair price. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't think it was worth it.

The process with Renewal by Andersen was quick and we can finance. We did about 15 windows. We were given a two days timeline, and they were in and out in those two days. The quality of the windows is great. We made the right choice. I'd tell others that if they need something done quickly and to last for a long time and something that they can get warranty on, then they should do it with Renewal.

We've had Andersen doors in the past, and we've been very happy with them, so it's where my husband wanted to go. Customer service is great in person. Online, I can't say that I am as pleased. Renewal by Andersen put a front door and a screen door in for us, and some of their communication online is not very clear. They kept sending me this one form, saying that I needed to sign it to complete it. But finally, I got an email saying, “Oh, no. That's not what you need to do with that.” It was, “You kept sending it to me. It says to sign it.” Because I kept telling them it's like, “I can't sign it. It's not letting me do anything.” Finally, they got back to me and said, “No, no. You don't have to sign anything.”
I'm having a hard time closing my screen door, so I put in a job request three times, and I got no response from it. The quality is great. It needs some adjustments, and I don't know how to do that. They would not get back to me about repair, and I've done it all through on their online through my account. Also, we financed through them. And that's not clear either. I know they keep asking for payment, and I'd love to give them a payment, but I'm having a hard time finding out how to do that and how much I owe. But as far as the salesperson, he was wonderful. The guy that came by just to do measurements was great. And the guys who came to install the door were wonderful. They cleaned up. Everything was great. It's just all the online stuff that I'm having problems with after the fact.

Give Renewal by Andersen a chance. They got a superior product and the process is seamless. They do all of their own installation. They're spendy but you get what you pay for. What made me select them was the quality of their product. We had old aluminum windows, and we have metal siding. So part of that was dealing with the siding and pulling out the old windows. From the inside of the house, they closed it all off with this screen. And all the work was done outside other than the picture windows. And they had a small vestibule built with this screen to work on those. The windows are amazing. There's no heat coming off of the windows that are on the south side of the house. The noise is reduced to nothing almost. And the clarity through the glass is amazing.

I'm very satisfied as a consumer. The people that after you negotiate the contract made sure they shepherd me through the process. They give me all the information. They called and reminded before it's coming due. They called before I made your appointment for my final. And they came around and checked the work that was being done. The designer was very clear and kept querying me. "You sure you want this color?" Our association requires that we have a certain color on the exterior. So, that was all worked out.
It was very dark, and they're larger pieces. The whole configuration was bigger. And it wasn't a teeny strip that it was before. So what Renewal by Andersen would do is order some new black strips to put on. I'm gonna have some parts of it painted. So, it will work. And they have a special paint that they use. "And do you use their special white?" So, it was my mistake. But I'm gonna remedy it to the best of my ability with their help. Also, it's a high price point. $21,000. I had no idea it was that expensive. But they gave the full-court press. They got all the things that I wanted to keep the heat in, in the winter, and the cold out and preserve my temperature environmentally.

In 2005 Renewal by Andersen replaced all the screen windows including two bay windows, and two french doors were replaced with the sliding glass doors we wanted at our home. The person doing the estimate did not give us a good price, and even laughed after we signed our contract saying we could have done much better. The cost was $28,000 before tax for double-hung windows and our house is 1,960 sq. ft. We asked for all windows to be able to open, as they currently were, and the agent refused to price that for us saying in some rooms only one window would be priced as opening. We asked for a price break for paying cash, and received none.
Parts of the frames on the perma-shield sliding french doors were later damaged during a hail storm. I was also disappointed that the company did not offer to replace the one widow that we had in the garage as part of the deal. The only offer was for 30% off on future doors, which we don't need. Furthermore, door-to-door agents have come to our house a couple of times in recent years asking if they could replace our windows: they did not recognize we already had Andersen windows. Yes, I like the UV protection of our SmartSun glass and the installation process went well. However, I was very disappointed with the sales agent and his high-pressure tactics, and still have the home's original little old garage window to contend with.

California law allows a 10% down payment and the final payment after job completion. They ignore that and require a large payment after measuring the new window. Installers kept my front door open so I could air-condition the world. They also allowed flying insects into my house. I am in my mid-70s, and they slipped a $600.00 increase on my invoice. If I had not objected to the increase, it may have slipped by and been paid. I was told they would leave my house in the same condition as when they arrived. I had to request that storage bins be returned to the proper place and a garden hose be put in place. They failed to complete the task.

Updated on 08/15/2024: Company has agreed to assess the window.
Original Review: We purchased ten windows for the front of our house that took the full brunt of the sun all day. The new windows immediately cooled our house by at least ten degrees with the tint and quality heat control thru the tempered glass. We loved them. But after seven years the seal on a picture window broke. The argon gas is gone and the windows fill with moisture between the panes. As the temperature changes at night this moisture drops down to the seal and leaks from the window to the supporting wood framing. The wood is rotting away and the sheet rock below is soaked. Andersen refuses to replace the window as they don't believe the seal has broken. It's sad, a quality company that touts lifetime warranties won't acknowledge a product failure.

Unless you have thousands of dollars laying around. You'll need a loan for sure. They quoted me, $27k for 3 windows, to replace windows of the same size, with no need to do any framing. Two 62x36 and one 48x68. I even agreed to take the old windows out, and it still didn't affect the total price. I'm going to buy Jeldwin windows for $650 each, and install them myself. Windows are not difficult to install. And good carpenter can install a window. It's not rocket science. So, contact a carpenter, they'll be glad to help you install new windows.

I purchased some windows from them. I can say the windows are decent, but highly overpriced. I felt compelled to buy them because the salesperson didn't want to leave my home. I told him I would think about it and he said he would go have lunch and return. Nonetheless I wanted him gone and I ordered the widows in the February 2024. Today I am still dealing with this installation. First one window measured was incorrect. That one window cost about $4000. I had to wait until they would grace me with a new installation appoint of the incorrectly measure window. They offered me nothing, even after I asked. It is common for the window measuring team to absolve the cost of an incorrectly measured window.
It is now June and the window is finally installed along with the the two windows it sat in between. I had an emergency and left. When I returned there were things that I knew they would need to return to correct. Yesterday, July 29, 2024 they came to make those corrections. They still have to return because now they must order a new screen after they damaged it on install. The installation person told me he does not know when he will return. During this time I emailed several people at corporate and no one cared because the check cleared. I recommend going to Tri County for anyone in Long Island. The amount of money spent was not worth the lousy customer service and lack of professionalism.

I decided on Andersen Windows even though they are a little more expensive because they are custom fit. They wanted to cut into my house to make the window fit. I did not really want them to do that so now they are ordering a window and I have to wait another four to six weeks.

We have used Renewal by Andersen in the past and we were very happy with them. We have an older period home in a nice neighborhood. So we wanted really nice windows. While they were very expensive, we were very happy with the results. I was referred to the salesperson, Pete, by another window installer who was recommended to me by another person. This particular window installer had an accident the day before we were supposed to meet and knew he'd be out of commission for a few weeks. So he sent me over to Pete. Then he came out within a week and we walked through the project. He prepared a very detailed estimate of everything we needed and then we approved the estimate. Then he came back with the actual installer, Marcel. They spent over an hour here doing very particular measurements for the eight windows and one door.
The installation was crazy. It was one of those where you wait and wait and wait. They told us it would be 11 to 12 weeks to make these custom windows. So at about 12 weeks, I texted and they said, "Oh, well, we can come tomorrow." But they didn't come the next day. They came the next day. It was a crew of 11 men and each one of them had a specific job. They were here from 8:30 in the morning till 7:30 that night, working hard.
We're in Sacramento and it was the hottest day we've had that year. So the house was really hot. It was just crazy. But they were determined to get it all done in one day, which I appreciate. They did have to come back the next day, but it was just three guys to finish working on the door that they installed. It was a French door upstairs that had some framing issues that had to be repaired and a new sill. They took care of that the next day. So everything was done and cleaned up. They prepared the house. They fully protected the floors. They had to go up and downstairs. We have a split-level home, and laid drop cloth on everything and then cleaned everything up. They were a good crew. In fact, we're gonna do a bathroom remodel next year and I will be calling for them to do an estimate for it because I was impressed with how hard everyone worked.

I love the Andersen Windows. Our storm door is magnificent because it's very safe. But the point I don't like is Renewal by Andersen uses subcontractors. Last year was a great experience because the lady who installed the windows was excellent. Also, I just waited one month and a half. But the second experience was awful. I had to talk with the manager because the person who came here was awful. His attitude was very negative. I was afraid to talk with that guy because he watched me through the window, through the door, and I live alone. I had to call the manager of Andersen Windows. They need to select the people who would be sent to work in the houses. Also, it took almost four months. That's ridiculous.
It’s a porch. It's supposed to have windows. But the guy wanted to install glass. I'm very mad with him. I said, “How dare you. You put glasses there. This is not a sunroom. This is a porch. I need air. I asked you for windows, not for glasses.” And he put it down. He asked me for more money. That was why I called the manager. He said it was $16,000. And he asked me for $1,000 more. I'm a widow. The manager told me, “Don't pay any penny.” I let him finish and didn't pay any more cents.
I spoke with the guy. I said, “I do not agree with the work you did in here. And I love the company is doing, but not you. Can you fix all those windows, take it up, put me my windows? I don't want glass. I want windows because that's what I say. Windows.” We started in February and he finished in July and on June. But he messed up my floor. It was a sloppy job. I had to pay $1,400 to fix whatever he did to my floor.

Renewal by Andersen did a great job. The only thing is, when they put the alarms back on the windows, one alarm wasn't close enough. And so, I had to have somebody come in. But I have no complaints at all. I've had different windows put in. We have 11 more to go. We're doing it in batches, and they come in on time. I liked that their windows are large sized. We live in North Jersey and someone at work said they got Renewal by Andersen and they said it's worth the money because the way your house is, that's how they leave it when they're done with the windows. So, we tried them. We knew it was a little more expensive. We desperately needed windows. Even my sister said, "How come your windows are so expensive?" I said, "Well, my girlfriend down here got 11 windows for a lot less price, but she doesn't have huge windows like I do." Mine are like 63 inches. They're big windows. So, they're special order.
We had to get three new ones that were not only special order because it was in the hall, but two of them are very narrow. They're about 72 inches. They open and close and it's full screens, which I'm a fanatic of because I believe that if it's hot out and you don't want the air on, if you lower the top window, the heat rises so it goes out. It's an engineering thing. Because of the size of the window, who we tried to get before said it was hard to get the size window, and then they said, "You wanna change?" We didn't want to change the structure, so we said no. And Renewal by Andersen could do it. And it's nice now because I don't have to go through the demonstration. The installer says, "I have to do this." We like that they do a great job. They matched the trim of the house, which is this olive green because I have a cream color. They have it matched which is nice. So, I don't have to worry.
The other thing too is, where my kitchen is, the windows are on the side. The sun used to come in and we just got the kitchen windows in this last set of windows. When the sun comes in now, I could leave the shades up because my son always says, "Pull the shades up, mom." Before, when the sun was coming in, it was hot and you could still see the sun shade coming in. The sun is coming in now, but you don't feel the heat, which is so nice, especially in the kitchen because it gets the afternoon sun and I love to cook and it was like, "Oh, God, a killer." I love Renewal by Andersen. I was amazed because that's where I really felt the difference with the heat. We have Corian countertops, which feel cool anyway. And I thought, "Oh, God, I didn't want to sit there." I forgot the windows are new and I put my hand there and I was like, "Oh, my God, this is great. I could sit over there." It's not hot.
Using Renewal by Andersen, you get what you pay for, especially with windows. It's so nice. It is nice that you just buy the window, they put it in, and they clean up after they're gone. The only thing is you gotta move stuff out of the way, which you do anyway. Then you have to put your stuff back. They've always been polite and we're Italian, so I say, "Do you want lunch?" Nobody wants lunch. They may take a water bottle or two, but that's about it. They keep working. They don't stop. My girlfriend got them down here too, but her windows were much smaller, but she said, "Yeah, no, they just put them all in in one day and they didn't want lunch." I hope if you need windows, you Renewal by Andersen.

I got along wonderfully with the salesman, Larry. But my husband was very upset at the price. On the commercial, Renewal by Andersen specifically stated that there was so much off if you called before a certain time, which I did. I told them I wanted to make sure they understood that I wanted the discount for my patio door. Larry said that he was working with me as much as he could but I don't know if they did or not. My husband doesn't think anything was taken off. We also had our neighbor come over and talk with us about it. She knew that they were expensive because her friend had paid 8,000 for theirs. But I wanted that patio door installed professionally and right away so I paid the price I did.
So far, the quality has been perfect. However, they replaced the border surrounder on the inside of my home, but they weren’t able to varnish it for me. I was upset about that. Larry said that if I had any problem, he’d come do it himself. But I haven't called his number and my kids are gonna be doing the varnishing to match the rest. The installers made sure I kept a piece of the original varnished wood that was on it so it can be matched.

I decided I needed to get new windows. Mine were 25 years old and I was feeling cold chills in the middle of winter. I called around and Andersen was the only one that came and gave me a bid. Joey, the sales rep, came out and he brought out a sample window. He measured the heat register and it seemed like a really good product.
The installers called in advance and let me know the time period that they were gonna be here. They came in, set up their tools, and started taking out windows and replacing them with the new stuff. They were very careful about tracking anything in the house. They had the mats down and the booties where there was gonna be dust from cutting and stuff like that. They had some jack stands anyway between the floor and the ceiling and put those up. Also, they had the barrier that they put up to keep dust from being all over the house. I had four windows done last year and there was one that I held off to this year. I had two different crews and they were all the same as far as the care that they took with the house and the cleanliness during and after. I'd recommend them to anybody.

The sales rep was friendly and knowledgeable. It took a month before we got our order in, which was perfect 'cause we were going away on holiday. The product is above standard, and when the installers came, they removed everything neatly and installed everything. The work took two days, and it was done efficiently and quickly. First, they did three windows, then they were supposed to replace the other two, which they did within the next day. They're great windows, and I'm waiting to see how efficient they are in the wintertime. I live in a condo, and the original windows that were here were almost 40 years old. The Andersen windows are supposed to be a lot better than the windows I had.

Starting with the sales experience, the salesman was very knowledgeable and explained a lot of the differences between the Renewal by Andersen products and some of the other products from big box stores like Home Depot and Lowe's. He explained the difference in pricing and although he mentioned that for making a decision while he was there, there were some advantages of doing so, it wasn't what I would consider high pressure sales. The scheduling was very easy too. They called right away, scheduled everything and showed up exactly when they said they were gonna show up. The people doing the install did a great job. So we're very pleased with the product and the installation.
People always say you get what you pay for. We paid a good price and got a good product and installation. It is an expensive product, but the quality is there and the professionalism for the installation was unmatched. I'd never had that level of professionalism before. This was a great purchase, and there was a price to pay. We have three doors in our house that we'd like to replace. We replaced one of the three, and that's just because that's what I could afford. Would I like to have more done? I absolutely would, but I will not just because the price is so extreme. I'm getting ready to retire, so my spendable income will go down.

My daughter used Andersen and recommended them. The person who came out to give me the estimate was very knowledgeable and gave me a couple of choices of windows that would work. He notified me of some rot and that it would have to come out and be replaced. I agreed to that extra work. The installers came a little late, but they worked late until the job was finished. They had to remove the entire window framing. Then they rebuilt the framing and put in new window sills. It was very extensive work. There were four people here to install only two windows. It was extremely hot out and they worked through it. They said it would be one day, and it was done in one day. I was pleased with that. The windows have a very good quality as well. We've had a couple of storms, but we've not had any leaks.

The install guys did a superb job installing in a few hours. After they did an excellent job of cleaning inside and out. We called Renewal By Andersen to replace 8 windows in a home that we purchased that was 19 years old and did not have any screens in the windows and the windows were not efficient at all. The salesman was very good and we decided to go with Renewal. That was in Feb of 2024. I am embarrassed to tell anyone the price we agreed to pay for 8 windows! It took until May 6, 2024 and then they were at the house ready for install. But they only had 7 windows! After 3 months they were still missing 1 window! So the next day we had to be home again for their guys to come and put in the 1 window that they found!!
One of their managers came to the house maybe a few days later to explain the the town would come to do an inspection, but it was no big deal and they always passed inspection. He gave us a date and said we would have to call the town to find out what time the inspector would arrive and then one of Renewal people would have to come by and do something to the windows after the inspector was there. So we waited for the inspector on the date the guy from Andersen told us , and he never showed up, because the Andersen guy never called the City!
So, this is how this went for a few weeks, then the inspector came and didn't pass the windows, and it was one thing after another with no one from Andersen taking responsibility for anything!! Needless to say, I would never do business with this company again, nor would I recommend this company to anyone! One last slap in the face, their Experience Manager called me concerned about all the things that went wrong toward the end and she said the least she could do was send us a Visa Gift card, Guess what? That was at the beginning of June, we still don't have the Visa Gift Card. What does that tell you about the company!!!

My experience with Renewal by Andersen has been excellent. We just had a bunch of windows put into the front of our house. We've had this sliding Andersen window door, and it's perfect. It's the reason why I went with the company again. It's a vinyl coated one, and it has direct sun on it a fair portion of the day, and here we are now 30 years from when it was put in, and it still looks terrific. The only thing we did this last month was replace the screen material in the screen side of it. It's held up that well.
As far as the recent installation, they did not complete it in the said timeline, and the reason being that we said that we wanted them put in with permits because we have one of those tricky cities, and even though it's a window through a window, our contractor went down there, and they said, “Oh, you can do this over the counter.” And then when it came down to it, he'd scheduled a date and it would have been right on schedule. He got back to me and said, “The city said that I've now got to go through the full permitting process.” So, it was delayed by about 7 to 10 days. It was very irritating because the contractor had already put the money out on the windows. I was not gonna pay him until I had permits because he had the windows. I didn't have a permit that said that would be approved.
It was not the contractor's fault though. Our city is tricky. As soon as he got the permit, he was here the very next day. I'm very happy with the windows. They installed them and we haven't had to do anything. There's no touch-up. We did clean the windows again, but other than that, they're excellent. I don't think they're that simple to install. The installers took a lot of time and trouble to do it right, and there's a lot of trim that's needed because no windows are identical even though you're putting it into the same hole. They did a wonderful job.
Andersen is the best there ever is. We do know that Andersen windows are not cheap, but you pay for quality. About 10 years ago, we had a little window in the kitchen and a little window in one of the other bedrooms done. And then about five years ago, we had a very large one put in in the back bedroom. That was a three-panel window, and that was a big project. We're absolutely delighted with them. They're expensive, but when you choose to go Andersen, you're choosing looks, quality, and wearability. It makes sense in the long run.

Renewal by Andersen had a booth at the chocolate wine festival here in Albuquerque and offered to send one of their representatives over. We were, “Why not?" We would just hear what they had to say. The installers were very respectful, clean and knew what they were doing.
I had worked in installation of flooring when I was in high school with my dad, and half the battle was preparation and clean-up. So, I was prepared for having a mess with tarps and things on the floor and covering all of my furniture. But they had their own tarps and were impressed by us having it prepared, but they went above and beyond with preparation for knowing that it would be a mess. That speaks to me as a person who used to be an installer of floors myself, and that takes a lot of effort and time. It was a good experience. Friendly service, efficient, and responsive. Renewal by Andersen followed through with what they said. You could expect what the representative said is what would happen.

Renewal by Andersen's rep was very upfront. He was thorough in explaining everything. And he did a couple of things that saved me money. We were out in the garage, and he asked, “Do you ever open these windows?” I said, “I don't think I ever have.” He said there was no sense in paying for a double-hung window out there. We could just put in a portrait glass. And they put a little fake bar across it so it matched all the other windows. There were two of those.
The double windows used to be just side-by-side double-hung windows. He suggested using gliding windows so they would not have the bar across them. It made a much more open look. I was leery after I did that. Have I done the right thing? What would it look like? After they went in, I was tickled to death with it. That was a good suggestion. I was very happy with him. And he didn't put any pressure on me. He explained everything very well. I was here the whole time while they were working. And they showed me what they were doing. They did a great job. To spend almost $50,000, I'm very pleased.

Better windows at Home Depot. Terrible quality control. I could write reams on how disappointed I am with this bad decision I have made using Andersen Windows, but I will let the pictures do the talking. The pictures will explain that when Andersen Windows advertised black windows, they are not black, just most of them is black. Look at the pictures, if you want to read more please do but the pictures tell the story.
We are in the process of renovating our house that we have lived in for 20+ years. We saved enough where we could do all the work we needed to the level we wanted. No expense was going to be spared to get what we wanted. With that in mind I looked at every window company and even looked at buying them from Home Depot (wish I had done that now) and hiring a contractor to fit them.
After reading all the reviews and doing some window shopping, we chose Andersen Windows. The salesperson came around and told us all the good things like "we build and fit the windows so you are worry free about any issues or problems because we have nobody to blame or point the finger at, except our company." SOLD! Fast forward to installation day. Let me be VERY CLEAR. The gang of workers that were deployed to fit the windows were fantastic. Beyond reproach, so no part of this review is levied at the fitting crew. This review is about poor-quality control at the factory and shoddy and cheap workmanship on the actual product itself.
It was not until we went to paint the window surround after the windows had been fitted that we noticed that beige plastic and beige corking had been used in the construction of the windows. Not an easy fix now that the windows have been installed. Just look at the picture of the black surround and how you can see the grout and beige plastic from the street. The windows look old already! We contacted Andersen and they said they are going to send someone over to paint the four corners of our 3 brand new windows to COVER UP their mistake.... I'll leave that with you.
So here's an analogy for your enjoyment. Imagine you just purchased a $13,000 brand new car and as the salesmen drove it out to you it had one side mirror that was a different color. You point this out to the salesmen and he says, "Don't worry I will get one of our techs to paint it for you right now, the factory must have messed up." Would you buy the car? No nor would I....
Use Andersen if you want, lots of people have and left 5 star reviews which is why I went with them. But just be aware that if there is a problem, don't believe the blurb, they are the same as a dodgy car dealer. That's the taste they left with me and I don't say that with glee as I have wasted $13k because it will only be a matter of time before we end up replacing them again because all I see now is Beige plastic on a so called black window. Needless to say I will not use or recommend this company to anyone. I do not recommend Renewal by Andersen windows. Without any animosity, I hope this review saves just one person from making the same error of judgement, expense and disappointment I encountered by choosing this company.
As a company committed to providing high-quality products, we are disappointed to hear about your dissatisfaction. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our quality control processes. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and please know we have shared it with our team to review further.

Before the installation crew showed up, we had a visit from a guy who looked at it to see what was needed. Then, the installation crew showed up. They had cardboard to put down on the ground so that the sawdust and everything didn't get on the carpet. They disassembled the old door, took off the trim on the outside and the inside, replaced the door frame, and put in the new door. We asked them to remove our existing doggy door and our door knob from the old door and leave those with us so that we could put them back on after we paint the new door and they did that with no problem. They vacuumed and cleaned up their mess. It was great. They were very professional and respectful and they knew what they were doing. It has been five days since the installation of our much-anticipated bay window. We couldn't afford one 32 years ago when we built this house. I wanted something that would jut out over the HVAC and make it less noticeable. What I got is something so undescribably unsightly that I cry every time I look at it. The center section of glass measures only 12 1/2"--the same width as the double-hung windows on each side. As an optical illusion, it looks thinner than the windows flanking it. I had expected the center section to be at least a little bit wider than the other two windows. It looks freakishly hideous. There is so much building material and casement, rather than glass, that the room is so much darker than before.
I was going to throw my blinds away, but I put them back over the opening so that I can lower and close them in order to not see that travesty of a window whenever I glance into the dining room. I've cried and cried and lost much sleep over this monstrosity. No one, at any time, showed me a drawing or mock-up of exactly what this window would look like. All I was shown were pictures of other windows and told that my center section wouldn't be as wide as the pictures I was shown. I had no idea that someone would design such a monstrosity and not think that no one in their right mind would want this. Now, all I want is to move away from this house so that I won't ever have to see this appallingly grotesque example of window design ever again.
Yet, I can't imagine that anyone would want to buy a house with such an aesthetically abhorrent example of window creation. BTW, the flashing over the tiny roof is especially tacky. I may be 76 years-old, but I plan to climb a ladder and paint that painfully bright outline that tops the roof a color that will hopefully blend with the brick color. All in all, I just couldn't have dreamt up a scenario in which I could have been any unhappier with the result, inside and out. With the above comments, I don't want my disdain for the window to be reflective of the workmanship. That is the only thing for which I have no complaints. We also got a plain casement window and it doesn't have bulky, light-blocking extra casement materials. The receipt is not uploadable.
We apologize for your dissatisfaction with the result of your bay window installation. We understand how disappointing it must be to not receive the desired outcome after waiting so long. Please know we have shared your review with our team to look into further.

I ended up calling a contractor who came & cut the wall inside under the window & looked at the beam & he said it was fine & they could put in the window.. So the installers did end up finishing the window install, but did not fix the wall that the contractor cut open to see what the problem was. I called Andersen & they said if they send their contractor, it would cost more money! I told them I would use my own contractor since Andersen was going to charge me more money. This issue should not have happened. The installers should have known what to do but instead, they boarded up the window! I won’t be using Andersen next time.

From the first contact, this was a great experience. The consultation was thorough, I understood the different products and was able to pick what was best for my home. My pets and I were treated like family. The install was even more impressive. They took out the old, put in the new windows and took away all the mess from outside. They made no mess whatsoever inside. Unbelievable. I had to adjust my temp settings on the thermostat because the house was too cold now. What a wonderful problem since I am in central Texas. Wish I would have done this years ago. Thank you to all who were involved in my journey.

We went through three different quotes and Renewal by Andersen was by far the easiest process. The salesperson was able to show me an example of the windows which the other two companies did not. I was able to touch, feel, and see the exact product and understand the differences between vinyl windows and Renewal by Andersen, which is a customized product. The windows are made custom and in a few weeks we had them installed. Honestly, the easiest process was the installation as the crew was very polite, professional, and worked like a well oiled machine together. I would recommend them to anyone.

It took 7 months to finally get our sliding patio door installed. We truly feel as if we have been scammed. The salesman was certainly good at the hook &. The company claimed that our “laser measured” specific sized door would be installed within 6-8 weeks after we placed the order. The due dates kept getting delayed and delayed. After several MONTHS, once a door was finally delivered, we learned from the installer that it was simply a STANDARD SIZED door. It was way too small for the space and 2x4 boards and foam had to used to make it fit.
We, of course, told the Renewal by Anderson management that this was not acceptable. We want the $9,900 (yes….$9,900!!!) door we ordered. Another 2 months later the “specially laser-measured” door was finally delivered. The screen door has yet to be delivered. The company is not reputable as they claim. Extremely overpriced and they do not deliver as promised. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Daughter and I bought a home in Sandy, Utah, in May 2023. The home was built in 1974, and most of the windows were original. The large picture window in the living room was in terrible shape (our living room gets direct sunlight all morning so this room is 10-20 degrees warmer than the rest of the house), and two of the basement windows were cracked/broken. I was familiar with the reputation of Andersen, as I was born and raised in Minnesota, so when it was time to replace our windows, Andersen was our first call. We knew the cost of window replacement would be pricey no matter which company we used, so we decided to go with the best.
The installers arrived on time. They were polite and very personable. They replaced 7 of the 11 windows in our home on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. They returned on Thursday, June 27, 2024 to finish the outer moldings and do a final cleanup. They did a wonderful job, answering my pesky questions along the way. When all the work was complete, they went over the warranty paperwork and showed us how to properly open, close, and clean the windows. When we first ordered the windows, we were told they would probably be installed by the end of July. We were pleased that they were ready and fully installed by the end of June, a month earlier than expected. And they are beautiful!

To the sales person lying about what would be done. To the man who showed up at my house to correct the contractor ls behavior. This window is not worth the money. We have tried contacting them so many times over the window looking the way it does. As we stated the day after it was put in. They never call us back nor do they care since they have the money. I'm so glad we only bought 1 window from them instead of the 35 thousand dollars in windows we were going to purchase from them.
They do not do quality work. The amount of heat that comes into the room still after the guy quarantined that it wouldn't is ridiculous. It's the only reason I went with them in the first place. I would have just done 2 opening windows instead of paying extra for a huge picture window. I've made some dumb decisions but going with them was definitely in a top 5. If I could turn back time I would have told the man to get out of my house when he came to sell us windows. Most unprofessional company ever. And hiring out to contractors who have 0 respect of someone's home. The 1 contractor broke my brand new toilet while using my bathroom while he was here. This place deserves a 0 star. What a joke.

Had all the windows and doors on my house replaced. Chose Andersen because despite multiple calls and almost 12 months of trying, I couldn't get anyone from Marvin to answer my emails and calls. Loved that Andersen has a full service option that includes installation (Renewal by Andersen) so I went with them. 4 month lead-time from purchase, as expected. Installation was efficient and friendly in January 2023. 18 months later and the bug screens aren't holding up, despite carefully taking them down at the end of last summer and storing in a secure space.
Brought them out this summer: 5 of them are warped and some of the metal frames are starting to disintegrate. The screens quite expensive, so I would have expected at least 5 years from them. Noticing other wear and tear around the window seals. That seems like it shouldn't happen until 5+ years. Will re-evaluate at the 5 year mark and see if the $50K was worth it. For now, they're pretty good.

It was one that I enjoyed because the installers were in the house but they did not invade our privacy. They worked in that part of the house where the windows were replaced. We're still getting used to the windows because they were just put in a few weeks ago. But it's very nice quality and we’re totally satisfied. We are going to be very pleased in the long run. We decided to do the sunroom because it was not energy-efficient and I’ve noticed the difference in the energy level. I got casement windows through Renewal by Andersen. I've actually used them twice. Two years after the first one, I did the other half of my home. On the first installation, I did not have Andersen Renewal employees. So, those people were very fast. They did not meet all of the expectations of the homeowner or Renewal by Andersen. Renewal made it right in the end. They did without any questions. But the second time I used them, they were aware of that and they sent their best crew to my house because I was a repeat customer and because of the issues I had with them the first time. I'm very fussy and the first people were not what Renewal promised us. That crew was scolded by Renewal.
The first time, they sent people to correct the issues. So, they took care of it. Different people took care of things. They made me whole. It's just that the second time, the installers were fussier than I was. That was amazing. Overall, Renewal by Andersen does what they say. The first salesman was good. The second salesman was remarkable. It seemed like he was a friend and not a salesperson. All the employees that I've talked to that are actually Renewal employees have been with the company for more than 10 years. What we liked the most about Renewal by Andersen was the quality of the product, and initially, the person who came out and spoke with us. We liked how easy it was to talk with him, how professional he was, how hugely hugely knowledgeable he is about the product. It was our highest quote, but we chose to go with Renewal by Andersen because we were impressed with the product and our initial interaction with Mark. He got to our house on time. He was complimentary about the house. He and I were able to talk about styles that I liked. I pointed out some of the things that I like, but he said, "Look at this. I see exactly what you're saying because that's what I see around your house." He acknowledged that. He was very personable and thoughtful.
We were able to banter back and forth between my husband and him. It was a fun experience with him. I thought that everything that he talked to us about was not only based on trying to sell a product. He wanted us to be happy with what we were choosing. And for any time we wanted to stop, he was okay. He focused on us and our style and our thoughts. When he first came out, he gave us a quote for a bigger job spec that we were thinking maybe in the future we might do this. But we had him write everything up for us. As soon as we were talking about the actual cost of things, and he knew that we definitely wanted A, B, and C, and we really do also want the next seven things, and he could tell that we were hesitating because it was a little sticker shock.
He immediately said, "Hold on a minute. You guys don't have to do this whole project right now. We can come back and we can do this other piece of this project. Because I would rather have you get a couple of things that you really enjoy for sure. And we've established a relationship, and I know you're gonna come back for more." He's right because we've already contacted Renewal by Andersen and we've got another piece of the second job going already. We got to work with him again, which is great.
In my perspective, I wanted the work done right away. It felt like it took forever for them to come in. It didn't. It took a tiny bit longer than I thought that it would, but it worked out with our schedule and what was going on in our life, which was great as well. When the guys came for the installation, we scheduled another job that was being done from this other local company. We had already ordered some new siding from them, and we had ordered a door from them. I had already put the order and it was too late for me to change anything on the door. But we made arrangements with that company to coordinate with Renewal by Andersen when they were coming in with the windows. One of the windows was going where the new siding was. We didn't wanna put up the window and then have them come in and do siding because part of the siding was demolition. So, Renewal by Andersen accommodated that.
As it turned out, the company that we were working with for the siding and the door came to the house and said, "Oh, looks like it's gonna be rainy for the whole day. We're gonna put off this job until in the next 10 days." So, we were put off by that but Renewal Andersen came in the afternoon. We still had some sprinkles, but we weren't having downpours, and it was intermittent. They said, "Oh, no, we know what we're doing. Your house is not gonna get wet. Your product is not gonna be damaged. We are going to guarantee everything is gonna be fine."
The two guy that we had at the house was a marine and his son was working with him. We had giant, picture windows that were being put in, and they didn't mess around, got everything done efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. The siding wasn't down and they said, "Don't worry, we're gonna leave you the pieces. And I'm gonna tell you exactly what you need to tell them to do. But if you have any questions, call us and we can talk you through that. We don't want you to have any problem. And these windows are guaranteed." So, we felt very confident that everything was gonna be done. They were in and out of here within three hours. They installed it maybe four hours total, from the very beginning to signing the paperwork and walking out the door. They were very thorough. They did an immaculate job with the windows. We are so happy with the product and with everybody that we've dealt with at Renewal by Andersen.

It almost took a year from the time I signed contract until the time Renewal by Andersen did the job. They did the majority of the windows within two days, and majority of the doors within a couple of days. The screen door that was sent was the wrong screen door. So, they ordered a new one. They're supposed to come and put it in today. That has been four weeks waiting on that one screen door. And none of my sliders have the little plugs in them. They just have holes. So, I'm still waiting on those. One of my casement windows is missing a screen. I'm also still waiting on that. And this company finished all their work a month ago. All the casement windows open nicely and easily. However, the plugs that covered the screws are a bit unsightly. I let Renewal by Andersen know. They took all the plugs off, screwed the screw in more and got the plugs to sit more flushed to the window. They're still there. But there's nothing we can do about that.

The experience with the window being put in was okay. But after the installers left, we had a stained glass piece on another window that was broken. The tech paid to fix it, which was fine. And when the original people spackled, they did a terrible job. We had lumps and grumps. Our painter came in to finish painting the wall. He said, "Call them back. This is not a spackler." So, we did and they came back days later. I had trouble getting through and found out the tech was on vacation. We had to wait. So, it delayed our whole system. Renewal by Andersen got another spackler to come in and do the job the way it should have been done in the beginning. And we were happy that he paid for the stained glass. I have a wall that gets beaten all up year-round with full sun and cool weather and I wanted to make sure the windows would be something that would survive for a while. I did some research and I found that Renewal by Andersen is the top-tier of windows. I got double-hung windows, sliders, sliding glass doors, an awning window, and a picture window. I was told once they came in, it would take three or four days to get everything installed, which was spot on.
The crew was a little bit behind when they came out here but it was understandable. They came in and we kind of reviewed what we were doing. They looked at the rooms to make sure that they had the space clearance that they needed in case we needed to move everything. They went over with us what they were gonna do and gave us a game plan for the days that they were here, which windows they were planning on hitting those days so that we knew which part of the house to give a wide burst so they weren't tripping over us. They were really respectful about the space and they made sure that they put down something to help protect the floor from the walking in and out. Also, they cleaned up as they went so, when they finished the window, we couldn't really tell that anything had happened other than going, "Oh, that's pretty." Everything looks, slides, and operates the same as the day it was installed. They're a little pricey, but considering how much of a difference it's already made in the temperature in my home, having the double-pane windows up, it's well worth every penny.

The window replacement was estimated to be about 10 weeks and an individual showed up right on time for the installation. I showed him the place, we talked, he went to work, and not very long later, they were done. Andersen and their reputation are good, but the part that I discovered after it was all over is that if I had a problem -- and I'm not talking about a defect, I'm talking about if a hailstorm messes up all my screens -- and I wanna replace it with Andersen screens, if I was left with documentation on how to contact customer service, it wasn't very clear.
The customer support and the ongoing maintenance wasn't as clear. If I were asked a week after the windows were put in who would I call, I would have had no idea. I spent one morning calling around and then I discovered customer service and I wrote it down in my notes. I called the office and then they gave me another number. It wasn't a direct thing and I had to make about two phone calls to finally get to the right place. I don't need to call them, but I don't wanna be looking them up and trying to figure it out when I do have a problem. Other than that, everything else was top quality.

The installation and the product itself were good. And Renewal offered good financing terms. My only issue with them is the communication wasn't great. The salesperson was super nice but the sales experience was not amazing. He was very enthusiastic and he looked around and made sure he knew what was up and walked through the whole building. We had 44 windows so it took a long time. It wasn’t necessarily his fault but I felt extremely pressured. For a $120,000 investment, I needed a few minutes to sit with the numbers and understand how it all worked. And I wasn’t given that time. Then, there was some confusion between the technical measurements and what was going on with that and the reps ended up changing the order. He said the good news was they could leave all the inside things in place. It would save me some money. But there was bad news.
I got the estimate and I was asked to sign the amendment to the contract amending the cost. It went down some but the numbers did not add up. There were scratch-outs and they were hand calculations so I asked if they could print me out a new list of the windows and what the costs are. I was doing my due diligence and I got so much pushback on it. The salesperson said he could just explain it to me. I told him no and to send it to me. He said their computer doesn’t print out long reports. I said they’re a national company and I asked what he meant that their computer doesn't print out reports. That doesn't make any sense to me. So, it put me on guard.
After messing around with us for a week and a half, I showed the salesperson the spreadsheet I put together based on what he did. But I just kept being told it was fine. I felt dismissed and I don't think he understood it. So, I ended up working with the manager who helped me understand and put it into one spreadsheet that I could read and double-check. Nobody was trying to rip me off. I just couldn't present to any bank what the numbers were because it was just not done properly. And then, the salesperson would text me at 9 o'clock at night. His willingness to text me at that time was insane. I don't answer my phone for business unless I know it's something that needs to be dealt with immediately.
Everything else went well. The installation was amazing and the crew was professional. They were friendly, efficient and left the area cleaner than they found it. It was great. The installers were there for a few days so, it was nice that they were respectful of our building. They did what they said they would do and finished early. The windows look amazing and with the weather we've been having, they've held tight. We get lots of compliments on it and I'm the first person to tell people that we got our money's worth, which was a lot of money. We extended the life of this building by 50 years. So, it was just the sales guy. He was not very respectful of my time or my ability to have a brain. And I don't appreciate that.

Renewal by Andersen is probably the most expensive window company. People tell me I’m crazy going to them and I could have gotten just as good a window going somewhere else but I said I don’t know that. They've had a reputation for all the years I've been around. They also had somebody follow through the whole process. If I had any questions or needed to check up on the status, I had somebody I could call. When they installed them, they did a great job as well. The quality of the product is very good. I haven't had any issues with them other than one minor issue which just needed an adjustment. When I called to ask questions that I'm allowed to ask, I got the typical "corporate" answers. Do better and stop sending mail to people that don't want it. And it is addressed specifically to me. So, figure it out! I'll direct your mail right back to you next time!

I was approached at the hardware store by a sales person sitting on the sidewalk at the table. I should mention that I am a home remodeling contractor, retired, with 45 years experience. I knew their charges would be exorbitant, but I am no longer able to do the work so I got an estimate. The person that came out promise me a seamless one day experience that would require no work by me. What ensued was a nightmare. They came to my house removed a 12 foot wall of windows only to discover the ones they had made did not fit. I had already signed the charge authorization when they arrived.
When I got home, I had a window opening full of plywood. No one in office contacted me until two days later. When they did, they told me they get back to me in a few days with the schedule. When they did get back to me and inform me it would be, at least six weeks before they could replace the part. For over two months, during the coldest part of winter, I had a wall of plywood instead of the wall of patio glass. I told them that they would be liable for damages and delay and revoked their authorization to charge my card. When they did the work, they left it partially undone and charged my card anyway. I have sent them a dozen emails and they have not responded. I am now going to sue them. (1) Their prices are double what the work is worth (2). They are liars. Hire a real contractor.

I just purchased an Andersen Series 3000 storm door. The storm door closes fine fine when the interior door is open but it will not close by itself when the interior door is closed. It appears to be an air pocket that prevents the screen door closing on its own. Andersen Windows is fully aware of this problem with their doors as they had three solutions to prevent this. One was to leave the window down with the screen allowing the air to escape. I live in Northern Alberta and the winters will bring minus 40 degrees so this door will not provide any insulation value at all. I think that a better closer would close the door but they chose to not do this. I would not recommend an Andersen storm door.

Looking forward to having the rest of our windows replaced on the east side of our home. We will be requesting the team that we had, they did a fantastic job.

I scheduled an appointment at an Andersen kiosk in Helena Hardware to get a quote for a simple cracked window. The person there assured me that they could do the work. When I received a follow-up call to confirm the appointment, the representative asked if both my husband and I could attend. I explained that my husband had long hours and that I was perfectly capable of making decisions on my own. Despite this, he insisted on having both of us present for the appointment. I reiterated that it wasn't feasible, but he persisted in trying to schedule a joint appointment.
Frustrated by his lack of respect for my autonomy, I cancelled the appointment altogether. I knew he was positioning us to upsell windows for the whole house and if I had chosen that service to be done, it would have happened. It's unfortunate that Andersen's Pelham Office will never know about the potential business they missed out on due to their salesperson's behavior.

I went with Renewal by Andersen for my deck sliding door. They sent me a timeline but it didn't happen that way. They told me they had an issue with the management office, and they didn't approve them. They said that they kept sending an email but the management office didn't respond. So I contacted the management office, and they're not that good. So it got delayed. I was supposed to install my sliding door October of last year so I made a contract last August. But they were able to do it in January 22. I was very unhappy. The installation took about a couple of hours. But I did that sliding door and basement small window, and they brought the wrong color in downstairs. So I had to complain. Then they sent somebody else later on. So far, everything is done.

We replaced all the windows in the house. There were 21 and Renewal gave us a timeline of about three months. They came out with 10 guys and took all the windows out at one time. It was a little crazy. It was very cold in the house and it was drizzling a little bit that day. We love the windows. We open them all the time and they open easily. But they’re not done yet. Some of the trims weren't the right size when the installers came out and the sliding glass door was not available at the time. The trims were re-delivered a month and a half later and they were the same size as the original ones. So we're still waiting for them to come out with the right size trim. They set up to come and do it but they didn't even show up. In the beginning, dealing with them was great. But right now, the communication is not fantastic. We're still waiting to hear from them. I love Renewal by Andersen’s product. I just wish they would get it done.

When they first came out, they took the order, showed us what they had, what we wanted, and then they came out and did the technical measurements and ordered the door to be made. Then we got the call that they were ready and they came out and installed it. Two people came and it was done in an afternoon. We love the door. It's great. It really changed the appearance of the room. It's off the dining room going to the back and it made a world of difference. Renewal is a good company and they would do great work.

We've had some doors done by Renewal by Andersen about two years ago and we were happy with the results. We knew the company, and if we had any problems with the previous doors, they'd be back instantly and correct any problems that we had. So, we felt very comfortable going with them again. We contacted them and it was the existing people that we dealt with two years ago so it was a very stable company. They didn't have any staff turnover either or very little. We got a new bedroom window. It was three windows in one. We were told it was about a 12-week lead time and it was considerably less than that when it was finally installed. It was about six weeks.
The installation team was good. They taped up the entranceway where they were coming in with the paper so they didn't trail any mess in and cleaned the work area up afterward when they finished. The new bedroom window is a lot sturdier than the original windows that we have in the house. It’s expensive and I'd like it to be cheaper than it was. But price isn't a factor when the quality is so good. I'd like to use Renewal by Andersen again when my finances allow me to get more windows done by them.

Vadim, the salesman who came out, was the best salesman ever. He showed us everything and spent hours here. Renewal by Andersen had two different guys come out and measure our windows. And when they got our windows, the guys came. They worked in the rain and would not even stop to eat. I had to force them to take a Twinkie. Then just today, they came and put a storm door on. We ordered after the fact. We didn't think we wanted one but I was used to having one. So, I talked to Vadim again. He came in and showed us everything. It worked out perfectly.
The quality is the best. I changed windows three times since I've lived out here over 30 years and they're gonna save me money just by the reflective thing they put on the windows. There are no leaks and the 20-year guarantee is the best. That's a long time. Plus, I get a tax break from getting this good of a window. Renewal by Andersen is the best. I would do it again. If I ever need windows, which I don't think I ever will, I would be glad to pay through them. They parked it out in the front, started immediately working on removing the old windows, and worked late into the night to get the windows all in since the next day was supposed to be a bad weather day. So, they got all of the windows installed on that first day. Then the next day, they showed up in the morning and they started working on the doors, which went out to the porch. We built the house 32 years ago and went with all Andersen windows and doors at the time. We had a number of things that we had to have replaced. The first time was over a year, the second time was six months and so was the third time. The last installation was a bedroom window. They came out, took the measurements and ordered the window. Six months later, they came out and installed it. They even replaced a couple of boards that needed to be replaced around the trim of the exterior of the home. The windows and doors are very good. They're expensive but in the long run, they're worth it. There are 40 windows in the home and we only have to replace one of the doors and four of the windows. The salesman, George, has always been a good guy. He helped me with the patio door, the bathroom window, a window in the kitchen, and a window in the bedroom.
The only problem I had was the finish on a patio door. The brass turned dark, almost like a brown or gray. I talked to them about replacing it but they said, unfortunately, it wasn't covered. It exceeded its warranty. When I originally built the home, I put on one of these recessed screen doors. I've had to replace the screen and all the hardware a couple different times. The hinge needs to be replaced but it's my understanding that Andersen doesn't make the hinge anymore and I wish I could find something to fix it. The French door itself is fine. But the way that they had designed the screen door 32 years ago, they no longer do that. That screen door is specific to that design and needs to be replaced.

I purchased a sliding glass door and a large picture window from Andersen. The installation went smoothly and the contractor was fantastic. It took about two months to get the windows in and have them installed. The windows are fantastic and I would strongly recommend them.

Terrible customer service. Someone called me before they even sent someone out to look at the house and she was absolutely horrible, asked me questions that should have been left for the contractor who comes out and basically wanted me to provide all sorts of information I did not feel comfortable with or was unable to provide. She refused to let me off the phone and stated she couldn't send someone out to do an estimate unless I answered all her questions. I felt pressured and did not feel comfortable with this company actually properly handling this job. Customer service is terrible. I finally told her to cancel the appointment. I guess they just didn't want the job. I have never had any company demand so much information before coming out to view the job and do a proper consultation and estimate.

I called Renewal by Andersen and asked them to do the work. They said they could replace the window and make it look exactly like the windows next to it. It's very expensive but I figured it would be the best window. It took them a long time to put it in but they finally did the job and it turned out to be perfect. I'm happy with the window.

I called an Andersen rep and he made a quick offer. He didn't beat around the bush and I liked what he said. I replaced all the windows in my porch. I didn't want the ones that went up and down which I had. He had one where a great big window would slide from one end to the other with the middle part being permanent. He put four of those in and I couldn't be any happier. The installers knew what they were doing and were quick. I'm getting a lot of positive comments on the windows. The product is what the rep said it was. They'll last my life and when you close them, they seal things out. Renewal by Andersen is very consistent with what they do.

I went back to Andersen Windows and Renewable by Andersen after we had 4 of our bedroom windows replaced by them 4 years ago. We were impressed with the quality of the windows and the workmanship. This time I had two patio doors replaced, a slider window (picture window size) and a bay window installed in my front room on the second floor. The men were knowledgeable, efficient and they kept me informed of everything they were doing. I had some rotted boards under the old patio doors that I was not aware of until they showed me. They replaced the wood and then explained everything about what they were doing and why. The crew was friendly, hard working and efficient. When the project was done, they did an amazing job of cleaning up after themselves. I was totally impressed. I would highly recommend the crew and the windows and doors. I used to be able to hear the sound of the wind outside when it was stormy. Now I don't!

They worked hard to ensure that we were satisfied with the end product. Will definitely be returning to Renewal by Andersen when we are ready to replace any other windows.

Paid over $10k for 2 exterior french doors. Installed in April 2023, both door came defective, company has come to fix 9 times in 12 months and I still cannot securely lock my new exterior doors. Management and Corporate take weeks to even call back and refuse to help even though this is a safety issue that they caused.

Yes, Andersen is a bit expensive, but very high quality windows and it is your home. Informative and low-pressure sales representative. Installation staff was very professional and hard working, since it took 3 hours longer than anticipated to install. They needed a third install worker. Extremely satisfied and will definitely use Andersen for remaining window replacements.

Have had my Renewal by Andersen 22 windows & door for a year now. So far, have lived up to all they advertised, look good, and easy to maintain. The install team completed the job in about 7 hrs and left the site as clean as when they started. Price is the only Con. I take objection with phrases like "affordable" or "they won't break the bank". They are not cheap no matter how they sell it. But if you can afford it; Renewal by Andersen is a great way to go.

I purchased Andersen 100 Series windows. So far, I love the quality of the product. The contractor and his crew were great. They were there for two days. He told me he would take a day for the windows and a day for the other stuff. He was on time and courteous.

Andersen provided a thorough review of our old windows and the new ones they offered in order for us to decide the ones we wanted. They communicated all aspects of window ordering and delivery dates (which they provided on time) in clear emails and an occasional phone call that we made. The RBA installation team was an excellent part of Andersen and aside from the new look of the windows, you couldn't tell they were even here.

We have Andersen windows in the house and have liked them. We purchased double-hung windows and a sliding patio door recently. They had to come back at a later date because one window was the wrong size. They gave a timeline on that and they've worked on that timeline also. Everything was very nicely done. Very high quality. I'm very satisfied.

The installer of our Andersen Window was fantastic. He followed up every time I called him. We had a long waiting period, though. They were behind at the factory. It was a good six months after we ordered it. But so far, the quality of the windows is fantastic. They have a process that they lam their windows. In the two, or three years, maybe if they did it wrong, the lamination in the window, you'd get air bubbles or fog. But right now, the window looks fantastic. Looks like they did a perfect job. The price was a little high. But if it holds up the number of years that they claim it's gonna hold up, then I won't have a problem with it. Overall, it was a great experience.

I like the quality of the Andersen windows. I had their windows before and I liked them. Even though it was in January and it was cold, the installation went well. We're in a historical district so the windows have to look like the old windows, and they do, so I was able to get the approval to have them done. It was easy. It never occurred to me not to use Andersen Windows. I wish they were less expensive, but that is what it is. I knew that going into it, so it's all good.

We recently ordered a new front door and were very pleased to have another opportunity to work with Jason **. A couple of years ago, we worked with Jason when we installed new windows in our home. Jason is always very pleasant and thorough. We've never been unhappy with his work and trust him to do the job right. Jason did all of the measurements for the door and explained the process. We trust that we are going to love our new door.

Sales rep came to my house and gave me a bid on replacing all my windows. After seeing price I told him I would pre order now and pay half and the other half when installed but would ask to be installed in three months as I deal strictly in cash and would have to work it into my budget. He would really rather I financed them (through them of course). Then he said they had a referral program and if I referred others he would pay me $250. I called my brother in law right there on the spot. Rep went to their house and hour later and they ordered windows immediately. I called rep and asked about my money due me for the referral and he said I had to wait till they were installed.
A month after installation and still no money so I called the rep and he said he had turned it into the Grand Rapids office so I should have it and he would get right in it. That was the last time he answered a call or a text from me. I later followed up by talking to no less than four officers from the Grand Rapids office with each one promising me the problem would be resolved and my check was in the mail. Eight months of phone calls and promises and money never came.
Results is Replacement by Andersen of Grand Rapids Michigan lost $18,000+ in my house full of windows and door plus six additional windows by my brother in law. I now used a different company, who done my house at a much better price. Also did my brother in laws and five of my friends. If you live in Michigan and plan to use Replacement by Andersen out of Grand Rapids, please, please beware.

We are very satisfied with the quality of the product. A woman at the showroom showed us the windows and talked to us about the doors. We saw how the crank for the casement window folds in so that it’s not out in your way when you're not using it. We saw the locking system and the materials and I was very impressed with everything that we saw. Two years ago, we had three windows installed and was assembled on site. We also bought front and rear doors. This year, we had eight windows installed - four sliders and four casements. We also bought the side door for the garage because we needed to replace the people door.
They moved right along at a very good pace. They worked a lot of hours the first day. They were very good at communicating to us where and when they were going to work. We had to put up the window treatments in order to use the bedroom, so we let them know right away that we wanted to know whether or not they wanted those down. They went in and looked at the curtains that we had in there and assured us that the brackets in there were far enough away from where they were going to be doing wood trim that it was not necessary to take them down. That was good.
