The sales rep was very informative and wasn't pushy. He gave us different options, and I liked the product. It was great. Installation was a very positive experience as well. I live in a condominium community and the Renewal by Andersen installers were very considerate of where they parked their truck as far as blocking other neighbors. In the 30 years I've lived here, I've never had a vendor be that considerate. They even had a hand vacuum and cleaned up everything after the install.

The installation group was good. We ran into a little problem which was not anything to do with the installation, and I had to have some work done on some wood. Everything was already torn out, so Renewal by Andersen had someone from their headquarters come with some big sheets of plywood, and they put them up and secured it into the huge opening, and taped all around that because it would be almost a week before they could get back out to do the second side. They already did one side and worked on the other.
They handled that well and I wanted the same crew to come and do the second installation because they knew the whole history and what had happened. It probably could have been installed sooner, but I wanted that same crew. It was six days. They came out and finished it up in no time. But it would have been done in a very timely manner had we not run into a problem which had nothing to do with them.

I’ve backed into my bedroom window with the back of a hoe trying to pull some roots out of the garden. I’ve called four places to look for help and they said, "We'll come out and look at it about three, four days." I got this gaping hole in my home. And I bent the frame. I called up Renewal by Andersen. They had a man around that afternoon. He helped me patch up and close the window up with some plastic flexi that he found, came over and put it together. He, at least, showed me. And they lined me up for a new window.
The rep was a very astute man. He knew his business. I was impressed with the way he handled himself and the way he presented the company and showed me a catalog. It was to the point. I like that. There's no runaround. Just, "This is a stock business. We're gonna rebuild. We're gonna custom build a window for what's that opening there." So I said, "Okay. Go for it." Got me all signed up. I gave them the deposit. I sent out the final payment a little while ago. I pay cash for each payment. I don't believe in having any interest. If you got your pocket, finish the job, pay it off, you’re done. I was very happy with the entire thing. The surprise was, they got it out in a month. For a custom window, that is amazing. And when they get swamp with orders, you could wait five months. I couldn't have a hole in the side of my house that long. That was why they put the rush on it.
This window is six-feet across and five-feet high. It has double sliding windows in it. It's a good size window for a bedroom, but that's the way this place is built. He got me all lined up with it with a double-pane glass for the heat. It's a hot spot. I used their little line to check on the progress of it. I got answers on that. I got a call saying, "We've got your window in town." The next day, they came out with all the parts and pieces and put it in. I was amazed. It's beautifully done. It's well-crafted, perfectly fit. I love it. Looking at it and handling it as a custom job is well worth the dollars. They sent me some information on special discounts for more windows. I'm thinking about replacing my patio door. I'm probably gonna line them up early this spring and have them come out and put a new Arcadia door. I'm not gonna go anywhere else.

Renewal by Andersen did a great job. We love the windows and the installer. The first day they canceled, the crew did because someone called in sick. It took three. Several days later, they came and installed and only one gentleman showed up. He did an awesome job. But he had to come back a second day to finish the work. It was three days that I had to miss work for the installation. That was our only frustration with the process.

We purchased a patio door from RBA. The reps were professional. The installation went as expected. No problems. It took a day only. The product works well.

I had a wonderful experience with RBA. It was a pleasant journey. Everybody who came out was hard working, energetic and kept a pleasant working atmosphere. I had two humongous picture windows and two smaller windows put in. The installers were at the top of their game, from the beginning to the end. The installation was better than I could have ever expected. They were professional and super in everything that they did.

My nephew's fiance had Renewal by Andersen put into her house and she raved about them. We called them and interviewed them along with a couple of other guys. And we were blown out of the water with the difference. When it was all over and done with, what we really liked was the quality of the window and the installation. It was absolutely seamless. Those guys were unbelievable. My husband was away in Italy and he wanted to be here for the installation. They very graciously put it off for a little while to the time when it was convenient for us.

The quality of Andersen Windows is much better than other companies. I purchased 10 windows and I had a very good interaction with the reps. However, I was rather disappointed in how long it took to get the product after I went ahead and told them I wanted them. It was October when we decided to do it, and it was a year later in November before they installed them. But the installers were top-notch guys. There were three of them. They were here when they said they were gonna be here, and they said it was gonna take two days and it took two days. They were very professional. The windows are also a little pricey, but we hope it will be worth it in the long run.

We bought some stuff from Andersen and they're better than any old glass. The rep kept showing what we needed, which I already knew about, and was easy to talk to. The installers did a good job. They put six windows in and the entry door and were out of there in two days. They were right on in their timeline and didn't even leave a speck of sawdust. The price is rather expensive though. I wish I picked up that piece of marketing paper before everything expired on it, where I could have gotten a better price. But they sold me on it anyway. It was a great experience with Renewal by Andersen.

The price was very good value and the construction of the door was very well put together. So far in the cold facing the north the door and room is very comfortable. The door that was replaced was a Larson and was 13 years old and leaked air. This door I’d tighten and very good.

I'm a repeat customer. I had Andersen windows installed 2 yrs ago. That experience was good except that it took them a year to get all of the screens correct. This review is for Andersen entry doors. I am serviced out of the south central PA office (Mechanicsburg?). The doors took 5 months from order to install date. Install date 1: Installation was a mess, caulk all over the trim, doors, and the floors. They reused the existing trim which had nail holes & dings from being removed twice (1st for measurement appt, 2nd for install). Trim was all supposed to be new. Neither door was hung correctly. One door swung in very hard, the other out. All 4 locks on the two doors were keyed differently. All were supposed to be alike.
The guys cut away the door surround and chipped big pieces of stone off the house to try and get the storm door on. It didn't fit. I was told that a new storm door would be ordered with correct measurements and would be a RUSH order. My complaints are: 1: the mess that they left; 2: that they tried to make my house fit their door; 3: the swing of both doors; 4: the locks; 5: the fact that the guys threw away part to the old door that I had specifically asked them to save and even gave them a box for the parts; and 6: the state of the front entrance that they ripped apart and left looking horrible.
Two weeks later an installation supervisor came out to see the job his guys had done. He was dismayed by the state of the front entrance. He said that both doors needed to be rehung, that the lock cylinders all needed to be changed, that all of the trim needed to be removed & replaced, that different caulk needed to be used because they had clearly used the wrong type, that the a new threshold needed to be installed (they had done it wrong) and that the new storm door needed to be installed (he took measurements) and a better solution for the front entrance needed to be found. he would talk with his team and come up with a good solution.
Forward 6 weeks. 2nd installation date: Two guys showed up to fix everything and install storm door. One immediately disagreed that the doors needed to be rehung, said that the storm door would not fit, that they didn't come with the correct trim, new lock cylinders weren't in yet (I did know this previous to their arrival). They reported that they had the same storm door that the other crew was trying to install. So, no new RUSH order door was ever ordered.
They talked to someone on the phone for awhile and then left without doing a thing. I spoke to the installation/service person about all of this and I asked to be given the contact info for an upper management type individual for this office. I asked for this again a week later. Or to have them contact me. Later that day the same guy that had come out to check on the first install job reached out to me. I never got to speak to a Manager. 3rd install date, nine days later: All of the work got done however the wrong handle set is on the storm door. it doesn't match what I ordered. no word on getting reimbursed for the parts that the first crew threw away.
I am writing this review because the experience was so bad. I am writing this review because I was deceived about ordering a new (RUSH) storm door and was made to wait 2 months to have the storm door installed and the front of the house to be made to look quasi decent. If they were going to install the same storm door, they should have had a crew come out immediately after the 1st install rather than pretend like we were waiting for a new door to be manufactured. This Andersen office clearly has issues. My contact for the job left her position during this adventure and I was not given a new contact. This made any communication going forward difficult. The price that is paid for Andersen products & installation should mean that issues such as the above do not happen! I do not recommend using RB Andersen for your entry door job. Signed Not a Happy Camper.

Although a bit pricey you do get what you pay for. We had purchased years ago windows and front door from Renewal by Andersen and are so pleased with the workmanship and quality that when it came time to replace 2 other doors we went with Andersen again. Yes you will pay more but in the end you will be very pleased. Not only are you buying quality but from a very reputable company. The whole process from ordering to install went without a hitch. The sales rep who came out was very new to the job but still was knowledgeable and for whatever questions we had that he could not answer he did not pretend he knew but called a supervisor to get the correct answers. This we really appreciated. The install team that came out were very respectful of our home and did a superb job of installing the doors. Like I said you will pay more but we wanted great quality and we got it.

I had three windows replaced. The salesman went over and above to explain the process and show me how much heat/AC I was losing and get the order completed. The company kept me updated on the progress of my order. When it came to installation, Chase and Daniel did a super job! They were here on time, protected my belongings, and left the place spic and span. They were polite with me, but what impressed me the most was the way they worked together. I overheard "please" and "thank you" between them. When they were finished I had windows that look like they have always been there. The windows and screens were clean, and so were my rooms. I would not hesitate to use Andersen again!

Window and door quality is great, but customer service is so terrible for what you are paying for you are better off going elsewhere. After replacing 20+ windows a few years ago we decided to replace 2 old French doors with new sliders. Even though their pricing was even more eye popping than a couple years back we wanted a high quality and matching look throughout the house. We went through the sales process again and were all set. The day of install went fine until we looked and saw that the installers had scratched the front of the door at eye level. Instead of telling us, they tried to cover it up with a smear of paint that was obvious. We called and notified them and they sent someone to check it out. He instantly agreed with us and said they will get it replaced. While annoying, I understand this stuff happens and that they seemed to be working to make it right.
If the story ended here I would give them a 4-5 star, but it doesn’t. After a month of no communication I call and email. I eventually get a call back saying they can’t get a shipping date from the manufacturer (They Are The Manufacturer). The fact that they can’t get a ship date from their own plant is concerning and the fact they can’t expedite an order to fix a defect is also not great. I can’t imagine if a door or window gets broken in the winter and having to wait 3 months for a replacement. I emailed every person I interacted with from my salesperson, project manager, and anyone I could include to get updates and express my displeasure. It has now been 2 months of having unpainted and unfinished sliding doors in the middle of my house. I eventually get a ship date of 1 month more.
After 4 weeks of no updates I contact them again to see if the date is still holding. They don’t respond to my email, but then send me a text at 6pm the day before saying someone needs to be home for the install. This is annoying, but I am happy this might finally be resolved. The day comes and I am at work while my wife stayed home. I get home to find they installed an incorrect cheaper model pre-painted door. I emailed them immediately as it was after office hours about the mistake and my frustration with the situation. No one responds at all. A few days later someone from their customer service or operations department left a voicemail with my wife stating they will work to make it right and that they will keep calling to get in contact with us. I called her back and left her my email as work had been busy and expressed my frustration and wanting to know how it will be fixed.
I have never gotten another call or response. I sent another email to every person from Renewal again to which no one responded. Apparently the second they cashed our check they stopped treating us with any respect. After $15k for this job and a previous $35k in windows you would think we would be getting the best customer service. I have had my first floor looking awful with unfinished mismatched doors for 5+ months. I have not been given a date it will be fixed and have given up all hope of this being made right. I doubt there is any value in their warranty and service guarantees and feel like this is one of the few examples of you don’t get what you pay for. For what we paid we could have replaced all of these windows and doors twice and would be better off for it. Absolute disaster made worse by zero service or care about the customer once they get paid.

I would give RBA a zero if I could. In 2015 We bought 17 widows and a sliding glass door costing roughly 30,000, fast forwarding to 2024. Around EVERY window is mold and rotten wood. 110,000 dollars of damage. Andersen was called, and Matt was sent out. That was 2 weeks ago. We have not heard or seen them since. We paid 30,000 dollars to have 110,000 worth of mold, mildew and water damage done to our because of improper installation which they refuse to take responsibility for. Their work or lack of to our house is criminal. Think about this before you use them. As our general contractor said, "I’ve been in this business my whole life and have never see such a sloppy, unprofessional job." This is what we paid for. Buyer beware!

We've had Andersen Windows in other homes that we've owned. This is a condo that we moved into and it had an Andersen sliding door. That is what we had replaced. Renewal by Andersen did a good job installing the door. It went smoothly. It's a complicated replacement in a condo because we're on the second floor. The contractor couldn't use the elevator. He had to carry the door up the steps. We have maple trim in the apartment and we wanted to use the same trim that was there because it was done the same way all throughout the apartment instead of just using Menards or Home Depot trim. He worked with us with that. And there were some new pieces that had to be bought. He made sure the stain matched exactly. He presented us with several styles of doors to choose from. It was with the wood on the inside. I was pleased with him. He did an excellent job and was very meticulous on his finishes.
He was here at least four times. We had a hot water heat baseboard under the first sliding door, the original one. We had to have the plumber in to split that away from it. We had the contractor come in and measure the rough opening and find the correct measurements for the replacement door. It drops more to the floor. But he also had it go out on to an enclosed porch. He had to build a threshold. He got the original measurements, came back after the plumber was done, double-checked everything. He and his assistant came in and installed the door. He came back and finished the trim area and the threshold. It's a very nice door. We love it. We have a lady down the hall that we recommended it to. This is a condo building. We have 53 units here. We invite people in to see it. Everybody knew we were having it done. They were all curious about it. So, we've had several people in and all of them admired it.

Also, we had one full window put in but we had one where it was just the window kit. So we purchased the window portion because that was all it needed. The installers who came in were professional and I have no complaints about them. We'll see if there are any issues eventually but so far, everything seems to be in order and good right now. I like the windows and how the cranks fold in so that they're not poking out which is a nice added design.

The doors are of lower quality than the windows. We can't get one of them to stay open. It keeps shutting on its own. Another one, they had to come to adjust a few times because it was squeaking and rubbing the hinges. We've also had some issues with the locks on the door handle.

When I reached out to Andersen for a door, they said that they’d put me in touch with one of their dealers. A person from Exterior Home Improvement contacted us and seemed great over the phone. We got two screen doors and the pricing was good. It was the rolling screen that rolled back up. When the installers came out to do the work, the dates were messed up. They blamed Home Depot and Andersen. They had every little excuse. And when they finally showed up to do the work, there were holes and they did not do a great job. They didn't put the molding back up like they said they would.
Our doors started leaking and within the project, the contractor wrecked our wall. We had to call them multiple times to come back because the rain was coming into our house. We're very disappointed with them. They were very unprofessional. They said they resealed the door and it got fixed. But something about the way that they were moved to the old doors messed up the siding. It was a long back-and-forth and months of not having nice-looking doors. The inside of our house is a mess because of poor experience with them. But we love our doors now. We can roll the screen down easily and our daughter and dog can't hurt the screen because it's only on the top. We have that perfect airflow coming into our house.

Went with Andersen based on previous customer comments and experiences. Although they were more expensive, the results were worth the additional expense. Installation crew and overall team members were very professional and helpful. Be prepared though to wait some time from initial purchase to final installation especially if they are custom windows. Remember that the windows are made at the factory and not just stock windows.

We had four regular windows installed by Renewal by Andersen. The crew was great and very informative, and the installation only took two and a half hours. So, it went well and smooth. I love the quality of the windows. They're beautiful windows. Compared to the windows I had before, they're more solid. I don't feel the draught or the noise like I used to. I would recommend Renewal. You can't beat the quality of the window. They're a little pricey, but it's worth it.

Renewal by Andersen came out, talked to us about them and put us at ease. The price was quite a bit more expensive than others, but we did it in sections, four windows at a time. It took two months to get the windows. We were able to pick what we wanted exactly, and they made them to those specifications. They gave us dates and followed through, telling us when they would be there to install them.
It took us three different times to get all of the windows completed. The first two times, they came in a little early. The last time, they were here on the date they told us they would be. Each time we had the windows put in, we had a different person installing them. But the people that came out and talked to us were the same ones each time, and they did a fabulous job. It was more like a family type feeling. It wasn't just people working who had nothing to say. Everybody was very friendly. We got follow-up phone calls to make sure that their standards of quality and the niceness of the people were there, and they were.
We have two bay windows. There are four windows, floor to ceiling, on the front of the house. They even replaced the ones downstairs which was an unfinished basement. It was just stucco and concrete on the outside but they were able to replace those, and everything's been great. We like the quality of the materials. They are good, solid windows.

The sales group that came to my home and the installers were fantastic. People wouldn't even know the installers were here. They put stuff down when I came in, which I wouldn't have even objected if they hadn't, and they were totally no mess. They cleaned up from outside. The day before they came, I had a slider bathroom door that was giving me some trouble. The lock has never worked since the door was originally installed as well.
One of the installers went to use the bathroom and he came out and said, "You know, that doesn't close all the way." I said, "Yeah, that doesn't close all the way and it doesn't lock." The fella took a flashlight, looked up there, and in about two minutes, he had it fixed. It took him longer to go out to the truck to get a screwdriver and a flashlight. I hadn't had a chance to look at it, but I thought it was fantastic that he turned around and did that.
I purchased eight windows. They were double-hung and one that goes out like a tent. There was some kind blemish on one of the windows and my wife had to point that out to me, but that's getting replaced in November. Other than that, the quietness has been unbelievable. I'm on a main street, and my wife was even saying this morning, "Jeez, you don't hear the traffic at all. That was really bad what we had." I said, "Yeah, I know. It's probably why we lost our hearing over the years." It's also warmer to the point that I've had to open the windows to get some air into the room. It's not just because it's warm outside.
The windows have been that good, and the main reason I was doing it was because in the wintertime sometimes my drapes were getting to a point that I thought they were moving. I should have done it earlier. Renewal by Andersen was fantastic. I'm a safety officer for a fire department, and when I went into the firehouse, everybody knew I was getting them. They asked me how it was doing and I couldn't say enough about them.

This one window was extremely expensive, but it was worth it. It's also a lifetime warranty, which I greatly appreciate. I got the top-of-the-line window and they did a great job. The installer was a professional. He and his son did it together, and they were great. But even though I could afford easily to replace all my windows in my house, I wouldn't do it from a cost aspect. I've been in the woodworking business all my life, just not from construction, but I'm familiar with actual material cost. I would have been happy if it would have been $4,000 for the window. But I paid $5,000.

Renewal by Andersen was in the neighborhood ‘cause they’d done some big jobs in here and there was a gentleman that went by when I was outside. It was Eric, a salesman, and he was a very nice young man. He offered to send somebody out. We talked and I told him I was widowed with limited funds. He was not high pressure. He said, “Let me give you some time.” He left, then he called me in about three days and I said, “Let's do it.” I see Renewal's commercials all the time, and I wasn't planning on it, but I've been having some trouble with my sliding door at the back. I had to figure the finances out ‘cause they are not cheap, and we were able to get a new patio sliding door in. The thing is I'm 81 years old, and that door is heavy. Other than that, it's great.
Renewal by Andersen's customer service was wonderful. They sent me notifications, and it was right on. Everything they said was just like the book said. They came in August and installed in November. The installers were great. They knew what they were doing and they went above and beyond. I didn't have the right color paint for the trim around the door, but that's okay. I paid somebody else to come and do that, 'cause there was a lot. I had vertical blinds, and once the installer cut the door in, the door was a little heavier. That threw my vertical blinds off. So, I had a vertical blind guy come out. Thank god I found these people. They were able to make the adjustment. It's all this little stuff people don't think about.
I'm waiting now. I've had a problem getting the wireless protector back on because my old door was wired for alarm. The new doors aren't wired, so I had to have somebody come out tomorrow to do that. We're getting it done. Overall, Renewal by Andersen is expensive, but they're quality. I’m excited for summer because I had a west-facing door, and if I had money, I would do two more windows. I'm in an area called Sun City Anthem, and the builder was very good. However, it was 18 years ago, so the materials are very different. I had solar screens on my old windows, and they knocked out about 90% of the heat and sun so I wouldn't get the fading. Now, I don't have to have that. I have a beautiful view and I'm curious to see what Renewal's windows will do when the sun's beating at 120. I don't have the money to do that now, but they say it's gonna knock out most of the heat.

My wife did a lot of research on window retailers. We were going back and forth between Pella and Renewal by Andersen. What we found with Andersen, according to the data, was not only were the windows the best, but the thing that pushed us over the edge with them was everybody said that the follow-up with them and if there was a problem, they were so much better at taking care of it and providing customer service over all the other companies.
We got windows for the whole house. We got some double-hung windows in our bedroom, and some sliders for other bedrooms in the house. For our front house, we got a double-hung. We bought about $40,000 worth of windows from them. The salesperson we worked with was Luke. He wasn't high-pressure when he came in. He was very professional, very clean, well-dressed, and well-spoken. He knew the product line very well and helped us with different suggestions on how we could save money by going with the slider as opposed to double hung. He took some of his commission off to try to get our price. It was still more expensive than we thought it was gonna be. We did 12 months cash, so that helps. We got approved for that. We felt comfortable with Luke from the very start. He was straightforward and very personable. He was somebody I would like to have a beer with.
Installation team was fabulous. They took their time, and I wasn't as worried about how fast it got done. It took three to four days, which is fine with me. They worked hard. They were really polite. They helped me with some weather stripping. They were very informative about how to care for the windows. They were very informative how to the plastic off the windows. They took them off all the other ones, but I told them to leave them on the front porch and the back porch because we're getting a new ceiling put in those. They were meticulous, and again, they were people that I wanna spend time with because they're in your house and they were very careful with everything that we owned and covering it up, and we felt really comfortable with all of them.
So far, I haven't inspected every single window. We went around with them and we absolutely love them. It's 10 times over the contractor-grade windows that we had in the house. They're beautiful. They reminded us to wait three days before we open them and keep them locked for three days because the foam had to settle in. They talked to us about the care. The quality of it is amazing. I could tell from the way the window compared to the other one that we had. They explained to us how great they were. It was a great experience outside the three levels of dust that come into your house. Every window in the house got replaced, so it was covered in dust. But we knew that going in, so that was no problem.

I have an old house, and Consumer Reports and two other sources said there were only two companies that they would trust with an old house the age of mine, and Renewal by Andersen was one of them. The prices were fairly similar. They were within $5,000 of each other. When you're talking about that much money, $5,000 is nothing and I liked Renewal's guarantee, and the fact that they're a large company.
The sales representative was great. My sister was head of marketing at a big international corporation, and she told him, “Boy, you are good at this. Your delivery is good.” They talked for quite a while, and we really liked him. He was very knowledgeable and very nice. So, I was really happy with him. Installation was great. The team was wonderful. They were clean. They were efficient. They did a beautiful job. They all spoke English. They were very polite and very nice people. They were careful to pay attention to detail. I'm very detail-oriented. I've got really expensive antiques and nice pieces, and I know the difference in quality and crap. These guys did a great job.
So far, I like the quality of the products. I'm impressed with the initial quality. One of the things I did buy was a side door. The quality of the storm door where they ripped everything out and rebuilt it is outstanding. I've looked at a lot of doors. They did a great job on the installation, both on the storm door and the solid steel door itself. The windows appear to be good quality. I'm pleased with the way they look.
I've been very pleased with the whole process. The only thing that threw me was they told me it would be 12 weeks. But because the weather has been good here, it was fine. In some parts of the country, you can't get into the end of October and the 1st of November and be able to do anything. In Colorado, they've got 2 ft. of snow and 12 degrees. So, it depends on what area you live in. I would recommend Renewal shorten up the time. Instead of 12 weeks, they need to do this in eight weeks. I didn't change my mind, but I know people can, and they get frustrated with it. 12 weeks from sales to installation is a long time. It's about a quarter of a year.

We had a couple of screens from the earlier installations we had with Renewal by Andersen in 1997. They took care of some screens from that installation because it puts little tears on the screens. The second project was the new doors on the back patio. They are exterior storm doors, and there were the screens that were inserts. They re-screened all of those four inserts for us. Renewal by Andersen sent me a coupon in the mail, and the pictures of the work that they would be able to do looked really good. Also, it had $800 off of some of the work. I got doors. I had enclosed the garage several years ago and put two big doors on, but I didn't have a way to get in and out without using the big doors. So, they cut me a small door off of my porch that would let me go into the garage just by opening up a door. Then they put my new French doors and replaced all the trim around it because it had rotted from rain. They gave me a couple of weeks for the doors to be made because they were fully metal doors. They also took all the measurements. I let them know I was going on a trip so it needed to happen after I came back. I talked with them at the end of July. My trip was at the end of August. When I got back, they started working on it in the first part of September.
The installers were amazing. They did such good work and cleaned up before and during and after. They said they would arrive at 9:00 a.m., and they were on the dot. There were five guys on the first day because they had to cut open the siding, the framework, and the garage. They took down the French doors, the trim all around it, my encasement and everything on the French doors. Then they got everything replaced. They closed it back up with wood. So, they worked through that whole day.
The next day, they came back and did all the work. They brought siding that matched my house and the trim to work with the front porch part. My house is brick, and parts of it have siding. So, they brought the wood. They then put my own trim back up to modify it for the inside of the French doors. They were punctual. They were very nice and polite. They had a truck with a trailer that they backed up. They left the trailer that night, but they asked me if it was okay if that was left. It was a closed-end one, and that was fine in my driveway.
I love the doors. They're really good. They matched it to my color inside my house and outside the house, so that looked really good. My husband's a quadriplegic. They put the doorknob on there but I ordered an iRobot because that way, we could use our phones to unlock it and lock it back up. They left the openings for that. When I got that one, my daughter and I installed it and set it up. The guy who came out and gave us the estimate even gave me his card and said that he'd just be able to come back and do that for us when it arrived.
My husband, from his hospital bed, can open that door to let home help and the nurses come in instead of having to raise up a whole big door and leave that open. So, I really like the way they did it. Everything is really good. Everybody that I worked with and talked with did excellently. The company had a payment program that I could use, and I have 24 months that I can pay it with no interest at all. So, that's what I'm doing and I love that. If I go over the 24 months, then an interest would start. I get a text every now and then on the 1st of each month. It says that my contract that I have with them for this is good till September something of 2026. I have an app on my phone, and it shows me what I owe. If you don't do that, half is due when they come and at the completion of it, they give you a time, and the other half is due then. But since I did the plan with them, I'm paying every month.

Twelve years ago Renewal by Andersen replaced my windows in our first house. I was very impressed with not only the quality of the windows but the crew that installed them. When it came time to replace our big picture window in the house, I immediately thought of them. I had to call them, and they sent a representative out. He was excellent. Just like the first time, he was very knowledgeable, showed us everything that they could offer. These things are way more expensive than other places. But they're worth it. I was surprised.
The installers told me when they would be here and they were here. Right from the get-go, they told me how long they thought it would go. I've been employed in construction. I know unforeseen things happen. Thankfully, they didn't run into any problems. Fourteen years ago when they ran into a problem with a couple of the windows at our house, it was an easy fix for them. It didn't slow them down. They just said, "This is what we're gonna do." They did it. When they were finished, I didn't even know they were here.
The window was put in. They cleaned up. I shook hands with all three of the guys that were here. Beautiful job. It looked fantastic. My wife she walked out to check from the outside to see how it looked. She saw something that looked wet, so she touched it. It was caulking, and she put a dent in it. She told me about it. I went out thinking if I took my finger and went over the little dent, it would fix it. I ended up making it worse. I jumped on the phone and called the number I had. The rep said, "I just got ahold of the installers. They're already on another job." They said, "We'll be there within two days." Sure enough, I received a phone call, and they were there. They repaired it. It wasn't a big job but it showed how much they took responsibility. They fixed up my mess.

We originally heard about Renewal by Andersen in their ads and my husband was aware of their company history. The house was built in 1920 and the woman who lived here before had original Andersen Windows. My husband did a lot of research and we tried them. Andersen is a beautiful window. When we had the first floor and the second floor done, we had the same team come out. The clean-up and installation were perfect. Each set of windows upstairs and downstairs took a whole day. This last set was just a bow window and we put in a regular two-window replacement.
The original owner had windows that cranked out. So, we have now replaced them with encasement and sliders. We needed the siding done on the house also. We called another company to do it but there was not even a comparison when we looked at the quality of the window and material. We decided to just get the Andersen window and then do the siding three weeks later. We had to wait for another opening. Then, we left the big window in the dining room to do, which was what we just did.
The windows are excellent. They are easy to clean and easy to go up and down too. We've never had the reps even come out to do any type of repair adjustment. Once they're in, they're in. Every year and a half, we've addressed a set of windows and it's been about three years we've been working on that. The team from Renewal has been wonderful. We've got the same representative who is very knowledgeable and has always given us options on how to pay for things. The estimate is good for a year. For what you're getting for your money, it's worth that little bit more incentive. You could have your whole house done by one company and pay a little bit less and have all the windows replaced at the same time, but they're not quality. This was the selling part of our house when we bought it.

We liked what he had to say and the price was doable for us, although we took out a loan for part of it. It's nice that they do the whole product and installation so they’re the only ones we have to deal with if we do have an issue. We had confidence in what we saw when we came down to initially check and it’s been a good experience so far.
The reps were very friendly and respectful. We got there about lunchtime and as they came back, they saw us standing and asked if they could help us. We said we've got a person who's checking something for us. Everybody was very personable, professional, friendly, and helpful if we needed them to be. So, the staff was great. And the installers were quick, professional and nice.
I like the looks of the windows. We got a door put in too and we love that. We’ve only had them in for about two months now but they're performing as advertised. It's a great product and it looks nice. You can almost feel the quality in it. Compared to what was there, it’s unbelievably night and day difference. You would always like the price to be a little lower. You pay for what you get. Sometimes, you pay a lot and you don't get anything. But this, you do. I thought that what was quoted was gonna be even higher than what they were able to get it to because the different selections you make vary a little bit and so does the price. But we're happy with what we got.

I had Andersen Windows for a while where I lived. I was satisfied with the product. The only thing is I had to call the contractor back a week later after the door was installed. We had a terrific rainstorm here. I got some water on half of the inside left track. Both of those on the edge of the door are all clear. Nothing blocked them. But there was no water over there. Just at the inside. The contractor couldn't answer. He said, “That sometimes may happen. And if you have any issues, give them a call again. They'll notify you guys.” I don't understand how could that be a normal option for that expensive door, to have the possibility of water coming in close to the outside, the inside track. Half the track. Not even the whole track. It's not normal to me.
We didn't have that much rain to generate any problem like that initially. But I always look because I don't want any water buildup on the inside track. No water inside the house. I got those two at each end of the doorway to let the water in case I get anything. But no buildup of water, half the track on the left side only. That's unusual. Andersen Windows said, “Maybe it's clogged, that little thing on the door.” I said, “How could that be clogged? The door was installed last week. And I don't see anything on the inside. And only half the track.” The contractor checked. The door was level. Other than that, the door works fine. I open and close it. It locks and it's secure.

I had Andersen windows in my old house. They were 47 years old & 1000% better than these new ones! They leak during heavy rain drafts & insects. The water from leaking in under my hardwood floor! And a spot on my table. I complained, they came out, I said I want them replaced. They just jerked the windows around. And said you have 22 years! They were going to come back but again because I complained further. But it was winter. I wanted to wait until better weather. When I could finally have time my appt Nov 5 was changed unexpectedly which was confirmed for several weeks. Now two week more into cold weather. The service rep when I said these windows need to be changed for the big money I paid, he said, "We don't do that! We will look and maybe reinstall them." I said this is not right! Changed these windows. Water damage, insects, & killed two Exotic plants I had from draft.
Now I'm getting blown off so they come later as it's getting colder..& my house has to lose heat. I glad my grandfather who was a builder never saw this day. He used strictly Andersen windows. My two remaining Harvey windows 3 years older still have no issues. And a fraction of draft. No leaking or insects.. I'm so very disappointed

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Unprofessional, zero integrity and the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. From start to finish, I experienced the most atrocious customer service imaginable. The 'customer service liaison' left me in lurch for nearly 6 weeks when I reached out to introduce myself, the salesman never followed up either. They do not care about building relationships; they only care about selling windows at an astronomical price with zero courtesy or consideration. They claim to 'leave things better than they found them', these are their words. This is also a false promise as their installers left nails and trash all over my home and destroying the weatherstripping on my front door, they also helped themselves to opening my yard fence and not reclosing it so my dogs were able to escape due to their negligence.
I was told the install would be a 1-day job and they would finish by 4 or 5 PM. These installers did not leave my home until 11:30PM when they said they would be returning in the morning! There was zero communication about this, it was just assumed I would have to deal with it. I could go on forever with all the issues I had with this install. So so disappointed in my experience. DO NOT USE RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN!

I got a custom door. I paid too much money. It was painful. Also, it took me 8 months to get something. Andersen Windows sent me to one of their distributors that is a private company. I went to a contractor, and I would potentially get a door or a window. I went through this huge chain of mystery before I got anything. That's the problem.
When I called Andersen's 800 number, they were on top of things. They called me within 24 hours or less. But once they handed me over to one of their distributors, it turned into a disaster and I thought I would be ripped off. That's just the way it works that every middleman they send people to take additional cuts and it's non-transparent. I had some very nasty emails back and forth to Andersen's distributor. I wonder if we have paid all the money to someone else rather than Andersen for the product that we wanted.
I hoped the door would be in in July, but that got pushed back. I paid the money to the distributor but they never ordered the door. That took months. I had to send an email saying, "Why is it taking so long?" I insisted on them showing me a purchase order. They showed me a purchase order, and it demonstrated that they never put the door in for order. I was, "Do I actually even have a door?" I raised all these concerns with my contractor who spoke to their distributor. When I tried to talk to the distributor about this, they said, "You're not my customer, the contractor is. I can't give you any information." I paid all this money thinking it went to Andersen, and there was a complete disconnection between me and Andersen such that I didn't know if I would get a door. I got very nervous and lost sleep for months thinking that I lost a $10,000 deposit that I had to pay for a door. I can't imagine it's a $20,000 door. That included installation.
I'm happy with the contractor in the sense that I didn't feel he ripped me off, and I would use him again, but I've had problems with the distributor a couple of times, before this contractor, when it was not a big project. I'm sure that these distributors are used to sell lots of windows and doors to someone. I put up a house on Long Island. It was a nice 5000 square foot house. We bought 30 windows and doors. Someone who is a distributor would be into that big project. But when I called for my door and I went direct, the first distributor that I went to, which happened to be the same distributor that dealt with this door, told me automatically, "We don't do that."
It sounded like one of the salespeople who I got put in touch with didn't even want to deal with me for one door, and hung up on me, but said, "I'll find out." Never gave me a call back. When I repeatedly called, they said, "We can't do that. Andersen won't do it for you." I got the door from Andersen. So, they could do it. I understand that my job was so small, because it was only one front door, that they didn't want to put in the time or effort in order to get it done. That was the feeling and impression I got. They are a big distributor for Andersen. Why do they care? Andersen doesn't do direct-to-consumer. I like their window product. They look for big projects. They're not looking for customers like me, which is why they have the distributor anyway.
It took so long and it was like pulling teeth. Some of what I had to do was to go to Landmarks. They require a certain amount of information and none of that was readily available. I thought Andersen, as a company, would have all of its specs for its doors readily available for a distributor to pull and send on. But I have 20 emails going back and forth with the distributor, where they did not provide what I asked for.
The product that I received was not the product that I thought I purchased. It's okay because Landmarks said it was fine. Landmark isn't making me replace it. I bought something sight unseen, based upon some no pictures because the distributor couldn't give me the piecemeal of specs because they couldn't pull anything, that was uniform. I had to cobble everything together and hope for the best. So, I didn't know what I ordered until the day that it showed up and was installed on my door. It's not what I wanted, but it's not so bad that I would go through the painful effort of returning it. The amount of time it would take to replace is enormous. I would waste another 10 months. I have no choice but to accept it. If someone showed me the door, I wouldn't have bought it. All the money was already taken by Andersen before I ordered the door. That's their requirement. That is what I was told.

The sales guy was on time. He didn't smell and he wasn't dirty. That was a plus. He was articulate and very comfortable explaining everything. I used to be a teacher and I laughingly told him he should have been a teacher because he did a really good job with the presentation and explaining things. He was extremely good about explaining to my husband and myself what the process would be, the different kinds of windows, and the different coatings you could have on the windows. He certainly explained all of our options.
He had a heat lamp when he came out and he went to our window in the bathroom and proceeded to show us how much heat we were losing. It was going out the window because our windows are about 25 years old. That was just amazing. He also explained all about the different kinds of windows that we can have. It was really informative because I never knew that much about windows. He explained how the windows are made and that there would be a team coming out to the house to measure the windows and that happened very quickly. He also explained that there would be a time period for the windows to be created, and then another team would be in touch as soon as that happened. They came out soon after that and replaced our window. The guys were fabulous.
We live in New Hampshire so things are getting a little chillier all of a sudden. Traditionally, if you'd have gone in that bathroom, it would have been like sitting in the North Pole. We have a hanging stained glass window in that window for decoration and before the Andersen window, you could see it blowing back and forth because of the air movement. But with the new window, there's no movement from the stained glass window. Also, we can open the window. We didn't dare open our old window because it was rotting and we were afraid we might not be able to get it closed in the summer. Now, it opens so easily. Everybody loves it. We're in a condo complex, and our neighbors are saying, "Can we come over and take a look at your new window?" It's funny.
We paid more than a lot of other people have paid to have windows put in. But Renewal by Andersen is superior. You don't get some scruffy guy coming in and sitting with you for 10 minutes and then telling you, "Yeah, yeah, we got it," and leave and then you get stuck with a window that doesn't fit real well. We've had friends that have had that happen. So use Renewal by Andersen. They're well worth the money.

The windows are of very good quality. They're very efficient and they look wonderful. It really hasn't been cold enough to really tell but even with the air conditioning on in one room, I didn't think my air conditioning was leaving out the window anymore. It has made a big difference in the room. My husband must have really liked the Andersen windows because we did the back side of our house, and now, he's having them come to do the sides. Then their professional measurer came out and after that, we got a phone call, a text, and an email on approximate build times.

Had it not been for the construction noise, I wouldn't have known they were here. The crew was very professional and courteous. They overcommunicated. We've had a roof and several things done, and this is the best project that we've had done on this house. The windows are incredible. We noticed immediately we're not hearing outside noise anymore. All of the windows open, whereas the old one does not. We can also tell a difference comfort-wise. The glass is energy efficient as well. While their rep went on & on about the quality and how they last, he could not answer my question about why would someone pay Andersen's price when you could buy 3 complete sets complete sets (with installation) of another reputable company's windows for substantially less than Andersen's price. Assuming Andersen's windows last 30+ years, you could buy another leading manufacturer's product every ten years and STILL come out better financially. Their consultant who came had some videos of the installation process and pictures on her iPad that she was able to show me. Seeing pictures and videos of their installation process and what they're doing was important as well.
One of the questions they asked early on was my timeline. I told them I was not in a hurry but before there's gonna be another big storm. They said that was good because they were not scheduling out for a while. I didn't get any details until the time came to schedule things but once everything was set up, it was great. Everything was by appointment and people arrived as expected. Everything including the measuring and the installation was right on track and everyone was helpful every step of the way. The installation crew was great. They identified an additional issue that had nothing to do with them or even the area that they were installing. It was a potential water leak issue and they were able to help me remedy that situation.
The only problem that I had with anything was the cost. I understand it’s a premium product, so it is a premium value. We had the 2nd half of our 30-year-old house's windows replaced. The first half, we used Pella. That was done about 5 years ago and we have had no issues with them. However, we decided to go with Renewal By Andersen this time around, due to their current promotions. The initial sales process went smooth, with no shady tactics used. The salesperson was knowledgeable on the product and explained things thoroughly. We decided on replacing all windows with sliding types. Most of them already were, so no big deal. We also had them change a window from a half-moon, to a rectangular awning.
The installation was very professional, and made the other company's installation seem almost amateurish. They actually really did leave the rooms cleaner than they were when they arrived. They also had to replace a bunch of outside wood trim, due to 30 years of weather and neglect. Everything came out perfect! Now, my only gripe is with the sliding window's closing function. This is not a huge complaint, but is worth mentioning and the reason I couldn't give 10 stars. It's impossible to close them with one hand. If you try, the other side opens slightly and you can't lock it. You need to hold that side while you close the other. Our Pella windows don't have that issue, even though both sides can be opened, too. At the end of the day, I'm pleased with the purchase. I will recommend RBA to my family, neighbors and friends. I'll just make sure they're aware of the sliding window's limitation.

My contractor bought Andersen windows with white grille inserts. We decided to not use the inserts and never opened the boxes for the white grille inserts. I have contacted the dealer and Andersen directly to return the grille inserts. Both have refused to accept the unopened boxes for the return. As a matter of fact Andersen direct told me that I can just throw them out if I wanted to. Amazing, they would rather lose customers and have their brand new unused and unopened product thrown out than stand behind their product and accept the return. This is after my Andersen slider arrive with one of the panels shattered and the two of my windows with broken hardware to lock the windows. Terrible products, terrible customer service and just a bad business practice.

I bought a home in fall 2022, and the previous owner had just installed 4 new Andersen windows in the home. They're great windows and feel like they will last, but then again I don't have much of a basis when it comes to new window quality. The other windows in the house are not in great shape, so I was curious to get an idea the cost to replace them. As far as what I would have actually done, maybe one or two windows in a particular spot in the home and a new back door.
However, I 110% regret having them come to my home. It was like letting a used car salesman inside. I know windows are expensive, but the amount they gave me was incredibly high. I wasn't even that serious and explained that to the salesman, but they pushed me to make a decision on a $50,000+ expense. The sales tactics were forced and predatory and the salesperson wouldn't take no for an answer. If someone comes to your home and pressures you to spend $50,000 before they walk out the door, this is not a company you want to work with.

The disappointment and frustration I have with my purchase of windows through Renewal by Andersen is an understatement!! At the time of our purchase, our salesman that was at our home went over options with us for the interior of our windows, and we chose the "natural wood look". Be very careful when you choose this option, because our salesman did NOT mention that once your windows arrive, you will have to pre treat them, then stain/paint them. When our windows arrived for installation, one of their installers gave me the instruction on how to work the windows, take them in and out, etc and mentioned that I would need to stain them before "winter flies".
Subsequently, about 3 months later (August timeframe) we found some mold on our new window in our bathroom. We use the ventilation fan and in the summer typically have the windows open when we shower, but it grew mold anyhow. When I called the company, I was first told that my warranty would likely be void because I only have a certain amount of time to get them treated or it would void my warranty. I told her she would have to prove that to me because I was never even told I had to stain/paint them until they were installed.
Hesitantly, they ordered a new sash (the part of the window that opens) even though there were additional spots on the inside frame and so I then had to involve a regional manager in order to get the entire window replaced. I had also been asking for them to address the sponginess in my window frames since the installation occurred. I had 7 windows and a sliding glass door replaced, and 4 of them had this issue of movement with the window frame. One of the employees had come out to look at my mold, and I asked him why there was so much movement in my window frame, and he couldn't answer as to why that was, but would "throw a nail in it if I wanted". No! I want it fixed correctly!
Again, I had to involve the regional manager (send him videos of what I was talking about, and the same pictures of the mold on the inner portion of the bathroom window) and he said they would fix that when they come out to replace the bathroom window. After spending thousands and thousands of dollars, it is super frustrating that the salesman didn't inform my husband and I that all this additional work would need to be done by us after installation, or I would have never purchased them with the natural would look. Why would I spend $30k++ and then have to do a bunch of my own work on these windows! It's absurd!
Also, they give you no information of what type of product you need to use (i.e oil or water based stain, etc). so when I called our salesman to tell him how unhappy I was that he didn't tell me that all this had to be done by us I asked him what I was supposed to use and he told me a water based stain, but that I would also need to pre treat it otherwise the stain would look all blotchy. And he said to put the pre treatment on and leave it for a day or two before staining, which I should have read the can myself because it's actually only a few hours that you need to wait. I also asked the regional manager on my sliding glass door how I was supposed to treat and stain the inner portion of the stationary part of the sliding glass door because you can't get to it properly. Either the door is closed and the wood from the moving part is in front of it, or it is open and the glass is in front of it?
When the manager called me back he said "there isn't a good solution for this but when the installers come out to replace my bathroom window they can remove the sliding door so that I can get to the other center wood frame behind it and then put it back in before they leave". I told him this is all the more reason these frames should be treated and or stained before they leave their building facility. It's hard to believe that I am the first one that has ever had this issue, but he said he hasn't had that problem with the sliding glass door before, which makes no sense whatsoever!! I would be very cautious using this company .... You are better off to have a contractor or install your Andersen windows yourself!

Generally, we're pleased with the quality of the Andersen windows. However, we did 22 Windows and there are a couple that have a spring on the inside that we're gonna have to have either replace the spring or the window. But we're contacting Andersen about it. But the weight of the windows is heavier and not so plasticky or flimsy feeling. The sliders on them are easy to up and down. And we like the actual glass itself because it has a glaze to it that keeps the ultraviolet out but allows the light in. I like the color too 'cause I have black on the exterior and white on the interior. I wanted one that I could have black from the outside trim look and then white from the inside trim. The installers were also awesome and very thorough. We liked them a lot.

We bought a house last year and it has Andersen windows and doors. The door that we were getting replaced was 30 years old and showing some wear. So, we looked into getting another product from Andersen. We got a storm door. So far, so good. It seems like it's a decent storm door. It came with a warranty. So, hopefully, it holds up. The certified contractor has been good.
We had a front door replaced. It was a different brand of door we went with, and there were some factory defects on it. And the installer got ahold of the factory to come out. He asked me what I thought of the door when he installed. And I said, “Everything looks fine.” He's like, “Well, there's some stuff that I have questions on. I'm gonna get a factory rep out here to take a look.” He did that, and the factory rep said, “Yeah. This is something we need to fix.”
Their crew came out and fixed it but didn't do a very good job at caulking. And this contractor said he's going to be back out to fix what the other door manufacturer’s crew didn't do to his liking. So, he's been very thorough with the work, just reiterating that he wants to make sure that we're happy, that the product looks good. So, it's been a good experience with him. The actual front door we got was a Therma-Tru brand door. And then the storm door we bought was Andersen. Everything was cleaned up. Everything looked great.

The production of the door took longer than I expected but my contractor informed me about the delays. He handles all the conversations with Andersen. Originally, I expected the installation to happen around the beginning of August but it wasn't installed till yesterday. I was having the exterior of my house painted and the painters had to hold up finishing their work till the door could be put in. So, that was an inconvenience.
My contractor told me that the installers would be here at 9 o'clock in the morning and they arrived right on time. The door itself was delivered this past Friday and it was put safely in the garage. The delivery occurred exactly when they said it would. The guys were very respectful of the inside of the house in terms of trying to make sure no dirt was tracked in the house. Then, they completed the installation and had a dumpster pick up all the debris. You'd never know the installation happened. It was beautiful and seamless. I'm very pleased with both the installation and the product. Our Andersen patio door looks beautiful and the price was very fair compared to other vendors providing the same kind of door.

So we change our plans to accommodate those dates then told Oct 2 today that windows are backordered and won’t arrive till Oct 29. Disappointing - anyone on Renewal by Andersen Leadership should look into this order process. Is this your normal dealing with people ? The process with the sales person was good. Installation was botched and to date is still not completed. Communication with the customer service after the unfinished install was good but it took weeks to hear from the service department and additional weeks to actually scheduled a date to complete the installation and repairs of the damaged siding and windows. Inspection of the windows revealed numerous flaws from manufacturing, transport and installation. Service people arrived to repair the damaged siding but didn’t have a clue about the condition of the windows or repairs and missing parts that needed done. This should not have been the case as detailed photos and descriptions had been reported to customer service to be passed on to the service department. At our insistence, the service people contacted a supervisor to come review the window conditions and our concerns.
Our interaction with the supervisor was good and numerous flaws and missing parts were identified for replacement. All items had to be ordered and we are still waiting for parts to arrive and repairs to be made. We still do not have a scheduled date for this to happen. It has been months since this project was undertake and it is still not complete. This was a very large window and sliding door installation job worth many thousands of dollars. We are not even to a point where finish trim/paint can be installed to complete having the home put together or finished. To date, we are extremely disappointed and cannot in good conscience recommend Renewal by Andersen.

Although I found them a bit "pricey," I believe they will eventually be worth more than I paid. I already notice the noise from cars on the road is much quieter. The window area is much better insulated than my previous windows and doors. Most of my friends are extremely impressed with the stainless steel screens, which are almost invisible.
I did have to stain the woodwork surrounding the window glass so it matched the rest of the windows I did not replace. The company makes it easy because they leave taping around the trim so the staining person does not have to tape the walls. I highly recommend this company if you want window or door replacements. We were willing to sacrifice cost for the quality. If you want longevity, that's what we got. We paid a lot but we got what we paid. We appreciated the good hand-helding we had from our first connection to our second one and the team that came. And we appreciated Renewal by Andersen's one-year interest-free connection. With that one year delay in paying, we got time to gather the money. And when the year is up, we can pay it off without having to put anything on our HELOC.
We had the initial project manager, and we had the team come, and other people would call and ask, "Is everything okay? And how did it go?" And we had some advice. The one gentleman made a suggestion and that's my favorite part of the whole job - being able to look out that kitchen window when I do dishes or cook. We had a window in our kitchen and it's revamped. It has a beautiful open window. We can see outside. We got rid of grids. We didn't know it was possible, we trusted them, and it came through in spades.
The only thing I would have liked was if it was done a little sooner. We signed the deal in the end of May and we got it done at the end of August. But the installation was amazing. Each of them seemed to have their own job. There were four installers, three were more technical and one was a helper. He was a new member of the team. But he did his job just as well as the other three. They worked constantly and professionally.
They were here from 10 o'clock until 6:30 in the evening. They were so prepared. They protected everything in our house. They covered the floors and furniture. It was freaky having plastic all over and stuff all over the floor, but it made all the difference and kept it protected and clean. Even the yard. The one who was not the technician type did a lot of the clean-up. He vacuumed our front yard because from the upstairs window, they tossed the debris onto the front lawn, and he vacuumed it. My husband was amazed.
There was one who, if there were any nicks or anything in the woodwork, patched things up if there was a little nick in it, whether it was there from us or whether something happened, so you couldn't see any damage. But there was nothing major. Our son lives in a million-dollar house. It was owned by a lawyer and it was older, but he also had some window issues. I'm not sure if he had Andersen in the house, but he's been asking us to see invoice. He's coming to check it out. We may have another customer lined up for Renewal by Andersen.

The following weeks they called both me and my fiance, we would block the number and they would find a new number to call from. Received a bunch of emails and we blocked and unsubscribed. They just kept using new phone numbers to call from and I spoke with someone directly and explained that we were both being harassed and that we want to be left alone or I will take legal action. They waited a couple weeks with no contact so I thought it was finally over. Well, they showed up at our house AGAIN, unannounced and uninvited and left a note on our door.
Today they called both me and my fiance AGAIN from a new number. Absolutely insane. I wonder how they would like it if I had their personal numbers and home address and just kept harassing them and stalking them even after clearly telling me that they want to be left alone. The door installation took eight weeks from contract signing to installation. The doors are very high quality, but the screen doors are not so much. The installation was thorough and professionally done. They won't take any responsibility for the condition of the frame. They said scratches, nail holes, hand prints, and paint are my responsibility. For the price you pay for their products and installations, you'd think they'd take care of something that's so simple to fix. They've lost me as a customer.

I purchased a front door through Renewal by Andersen. The installers were good. They were really nice guys. It took them one day to complete the job. The timeline was close to what they said. Everything is fine with the door except I do have a problem with the hardware, and I'm waiting for them to get back to me to change the door handle. Overall, Renewal is good.

I heard Renewal by Andersen's ads on the radio all the time. They impressed me. And when I started working with them, I knew that there was a reason why they have a good reputation. When I got the quote, I told my brother, and he nearly had a heart attack. He said, "You should get another quote." I said, "I can get windows for less, but they're gonna be cheaper windows." I sent him the brochure on what I would get. He texted me right back, "You go ahead and get them because that's a good deal." And it is.
It was a wonderful experience from the day I called them to the Monday, a week ago, when they installed the windows. RbA was very helpful in helping me decide what windows I needed. And when the guys came in to do the installation, they happily removed my shutters. They did not complain. They left the wires out for the security people, who were very happy. And they were very professional in their job. If something didn't seem right to them, they wouldn't leave it until they all made it right. I was thrilled. I was very happy with the job.
The installers told me to move things away from the window. That was easy enough to do. But I tried to get the security people to come and do whatever they wanted with the wires. So, they just said, "Tell them to leave them out." One guy spoke English. I don't know where he was from, but he understood, and he did exactly what they wanted to do. I thought, "They said, you might want to get the shutters taken down." The company that put them up is no longer in business. But these guys, I said the last time I had them put up, they knew how to take the shutters down. They only had to remove one and they left the others up. But they put it right back up. They didn't complain. It was like they said. It was a good experience. No stress.
In the living room, I got two big windows. Before, I had two windows and a door. Now, I've got two windows and two doors. And I like it a lot better. In the bedroom, I have a window and a door. Four of them got together and worked and talked. They were satisfied, "This is the way it's supposed to be. This is it." I kept watching them. When they put the windows up, to me, they were cloudy. I thought they would be clearer. I saw they were marking on them. They came and told me how I could clean them. So, I thought, "They're gonna let me clean them." Because I thought they would be too tired. But I didn't realize they had them covered with plastic. All of a sudden, they pulled that plastic down and now I got gorgeous windows. It didn’t dawn on me that they had to put something over the windows to protect them as they installed. I thought they would have to clean the windows. But all they had to do was pull the tape off.
They told me it would take three days. So, I thought, "That's fine with me." But I watched them and they brought the stuff out. And my brother kept texting me, "What's going on?" I saw the frame on the deck. I said, "Once they get the frame in, then you're home free." So, the way they took the old stuff out was fantastic and hauled it off. They came in 9:00. And they left here around 6:00. They put in a good long day. But it was perfect. They gave me the name of the somebody that was here overseeing the job, that if I had any problems, to give him a call. But it's gorgeous. I enjoy it. I highly recommend them.
I had a few days on my electric bill that those windows were in and my electric bill went down. Because these are what they call the E windows. My air conditioner man had come in a couple of days after I got them in. I told him that I had turned my thermostat up to 80, but it was still a little warm. He said, "Leave it at 78 because that's where it should be to get the cool back to the house. If I could afford it, that's the kind of windows I put in my house. Because at 78, you're gonna save money." I can't wait until the next bill. But this bill already showed a reduction.

Because all of our windows are below 18 inches from the ground. The wife loves them. That's all that counts. The crew painted the outside and inside. They were clean and went through the whole deal. I went with Renewal by Andersen due to a couple of things. I had an advertisement in the mail for them as well as a referral from a friend who used them for windows, and then very specific to my home, I have a very old 1943 home. The contractor was really struggling with just being able to do the job, so they said I should hire a professional company. The initial appointment to meet with Renewal by Andersen took longer than it needed to be because the reps wanted to be so thorough and show me all their products. They wanted to show me the deals, like if I get more than one door, they were having a special. I didn't need the whole sales pitch, and I could have done without all that. I knew exactly what I wanted and needed. After that sales pitch day though, everything was super smooth.
Once it came to installation, the guys made it really easy and took their time. They were really personable and very thoughtful, and the communication was excellent. They checked in with me throughout the entire day, and I appreciated that they cared about the project and told me everything that was going on. They had an exterior door replaced for me, and they ended up being two weeks earlier than I thought they were gonna be. I would recommend Renewal by Andersen for anything. At first, I thought, "Oh, my gosh. It's so expensive," but if I ever need anything in the future, I'm gonna need to use them.

We've known about Renewal by Andersen for a long time and we had a fantastic experience with them. I live in a place called El Dorado outside Santa Fe and a lot of houses here have to have new windows put in. Looking on Nextdoor, everybody seemed to have terrible problems with their installers, damaging the paint inside and the stucco. So I was very nervous when I first decided to go with Renewal by Andersen. But I can't say enough good things about them.
The man who was in charge of the installation, Leo, was fantastic. He was very professional. There wasn't a mark on my paintwork inside and on the stucco outside and I was shocked at that. The installers were here for two and a half days and the installation went very well. It was far better than I had anticipated. The windows seem very solid and opening and closing them is easy. I wanted a certain door for the back of my house and Renewal by Andersen doesn't make that door with the blinds inside the hurricane proof glass, so I had to go with ProVia. I started the process in April, and we just finished it a couple weeks ago. The reps have been very good, including Adam. However, during the few months we were waiting, I was supposed to have someone keep in touch with me every two weeks, and it didn't happen. Another thing is even though we put on the original contract in April that I wanted the ProVia double French door put in the first week of August, they didn't even apply for the permit until two days before it was supposed to be installed, and it takes several weeks in this county to get a permit, so I was not happy about that.
I had three very nice young men come for the install. They had to tear out the old door and put in the new one. It took them about four hours. They had a little trouble getting the hardware in and working. The guy that installed it said they've had trouble with this particular brand of hardware that goes with the ProVia door. It took him half an hour to get one door hardware in because it wasn't fitting right. The installers finally got it and they did an excellent job, but they could have been out of here half an hour earlier. It's not their fault though. It's just the product.
Kaylee called me from the Tampa office yesterday. I want the door that I use all the time to close very easily, but I'm having a little trouble with it. I was wondering if it's something that's new with it and it's just gonna take a little time, but Kaylee said to just call her if I wasn't satisfied at any time and they would come back out and see what's going on. Other than that, I'm very happy with the door. It's supposed to be top-of-the line, and for the money I'm paying for it, it better be. I could have put a down payment on a car. Last December, I had a 10 by 16 shed built on my property from Tuff Shed in Tampa through Home Depot that was considerably less. I have no idea why Renewal by Andersen thinks they're all that and 15 bags of chips.

The timeline was about 30 to 40 days from the initial consultation to installation. They were upfront about the timeline. They told us within two days of when they scheduled the install. So, they were spot on with that and kept to their word and got it done.
The installation was great. Javier and someone else came, and they were awesome. They showed up before 8 a.m. I offered them food, drink, and bathroom, just trying to make the day easier for them. They are lower quality than the 1986 windows they removed. But even worse, they installed 60% traditional style like we purchased, but 40% were modern style that do not match. Some are not even the same windows in the same rooms! They also messed up windows in a bedroom for style and placement. We have one old window remaining out of 16 since they mid-ordered it. We thought it was gonna be a good experience with Renewal but it hasn't been great. The way that they do the pricing where they come out, measure everything, and give your quote, you don't actually see the details of what you're paying for. They gave us that quote and everything looked really good. But then there were some errors in the original quote order where he had, for some reason, put in that it was gonna be a safety glass with visually obstructed stuff for the bathroom. The rep said that by law, we have to have the safety glass but the second rep who came out said we don't have to have that. I said that if we don't have to have it, I don't want it on the bathroom window and he said we have it in the bedroom window too. But we weren’t supposed to have it in the bedroom window.
He took off both the visual obstruction and the safety glass from both windows and I asked if that would imply that our price should go down. Those were fairly expensive additions. But we were told that because there were some other errors in some other windows where they weren't measured large enough, they just balanced each other out and there was no less cost. Because we didn't ever see a cost per window, we don't have any way to diffuse that.
We were told that we would be kept updated on the process of when they would come out to install the windows. But for three months, we didn't hear any update as to where things were in the process in the building. We just got a text on the day of that said, “Our crew is ready. Can they come out today at eight o'clock.” We got that text at 5:30 or six o'clock in the morning. I told them we were not prepared and that we were told we would get an update on this. The rep apologized for that and gave us a gift card for a dinner out. We scheduled the installation for a week later when we were able to get all the space available so that they could access everything.
They came out and they did a great job installing the windows and the people were fantastic. But when they pulled out the slider, it was 10 inches too big. It was significantly mismeasured. The business part of it left us feeling really awkward. I asked if there should be a price deduction because that 10 inches is pretty significant but they said no and that it was in the same ballpark. I said that we were told that they didn't reduce the price because other ones were under measured. But it turned out they weren't under measured so there still should have been an original deduction. They said they'd look into it and get back to me.
But again, we haven't heard anything about where it was in the process and then when they said they had to reschedule it, they said they'd put this in a rush because the first set took three months. The rep finally got back with us on that and it'll be at the end of October, so it's almost another full 2.5 months. It's almost as long as it took for the original other windows to be built and reinstalled. And we haven't heard back on whether or not they're gonna do a price reduction. I felt really uncomfortable and the lack of communication feels really uncomfortable. Hopefully, they would do a price reduction and we'd get better communication on the rest of it. I love the product, though and I've really appreciated the professionalism of all of the people that were involved in the process of selling and installing it.
