I called their sales rep and he came out when scheduled. He looked at the house to see what we needed and wrote up an estimate. We approved it that day and the order went in shortly after that. Another representative called me and said that the order was in the factory and that it would take so long to build them. Then, someone else called and scheduled them. The doors and windows arrived on time and they put them in. Their reps were all very good. I would certainly use Renewal again.

To me, the Renewal by Andersen brand stands for excellence, quality and beauty. It’s an expensive product that looks like a million bucks and is worth it. Buying Andersen products is a game changer for any home!

I ordered the Patio door from Renewal by Andersen for a quote that was by far the highest but they assured me of a high quality job. After the installers left I discovered that the edges of all the doors had all type of rough edges sticking out and a whole lot of excess rough silicon on almost all joints. They came to fix it but still not finish but left a few burs on the metal. Very unsatisfied.

Renewal by Andersen has a good reputation. It was getting to the point where I needed to replace the windows, so I started paying attention to that. And I was positively impressed by what I heard about Andersen. And the no payment for a year was an attractive feature since that was a good outlay of funds. A time to deal with that is appreciated. I also had positive interaction with the first individual that I had contact with who came out to the house and started discussing the project. It was an extensive one. Two floors and all but two patio doors and a front entry door and a door out to the deck were replaced. So, the whole house was done.
The quality of the windows has been excellent. But the quality of the installation was what impressed me. The crew that performed this work to the person were all very professional, competent, and conscientious. It's expensive but worth it. There was no distinct timeline given, but I learned through various meetings with the Andersen folks that there was some time delay, but it seems true with everything these days. But I wasn't prepared for a year from the initial time of consult to completion. That was a long time. It was made clear that there's a production sequence that takes time and I wasn't so opposed to that, but it just dragged on. I wish it was done quicker.
The installation was complicated by the fact that we have four little Yorkies and they're good-natured, but they get under your feet. So, I had to wall them off in one part of the house while the installers worked on the other, and they were more than willing to work with it. It was two weeks of Monday through Friday, and one window did not get shipped with the rest of the windows. So, another month later, they came in and got that done in a day.

We got double-hung windows, an awning, and a picture window from Renewal by Andersen. A sales guy did a demonstration and talked about it. Andersen told us how long it'd take to build them and how long it would take to put them in. They called two or three times in between there to give us updates. The rep said it would take about three months to get the stuff and it really only took maybe a month and a half.
The installers were three Russian guys and they were funny. The main guy among the crew was showing me how to take the windows down and wash them. When one guy was showing me how to use the windows, I asked to get it on video because I would forget. He told me how to do it. I'm hoping to get a couple of doors or at least one door and a couple of windows later. I asked him if they would be the ones to come back out and he said I could request that. That's what I'm gonna do because they were very clean, friendly, and nice. They got out there at 9:30 in the morning and by 1:30, they were totally done. They did seven windows and they were beautiful. They left me two tubes of caulking. I guess if they lose their seal, the caulking is for future use. They were awesome.
The only thing was the salesperson told us that the windows would not sweat because of the way they were made. A couple of weeks ago when we had the little cold snap, every one of them sweated. I took pictures of them and sent them to Andersen and said, "What's the deal? $13,000, you said they weren't gonna sweat and they're sweating." They sent out the team to check it out and the guy handed me a little Andersen pamphlet that talked about condensation. One guy said, "Well, they don't need to say that they do not sweat because every window will have condensation because it's warmer in your house than it is outside. When that happens, it creates that humidity in there. They will sweat."
The guy then said, "I will go around and check all of them and make sure they're installed correctly." There were two windows that were really hard to lock. He said, "I just need to go out here and get a shim and put under it where it would lock easy." He did and that was fine. It fixed the issue. He said the windows all looked like they were installed perfectly. The guys did a really good job getting them squared up and the windows all looked great. He said that if I happened to break one of those locks off, I could call them and they would come out here free to put a new one in. They're guaranteed for 20 years." He said, "In fact, I have a little lady that calls me real regular... I come out and adjust her windows about once every couple of months." On the whole, we got expensive windows and it was hard to bite off on that amount. But my other windows were crap, so it's good. We've got them set up on automatic payment that just comes out.

I went to other people and I felt like I was speaking to salesmen that just wanted to sell me on the most expensive thing. But Renewal's salesmen were really good and very professional. They made me really comfortable and they didn't try to force anything on me. The rep who came out spoke to me in reference to the product that I wanted -- just specifically those products. He gave me a lot of options and gave me space to think. I felt like he didn't try any weird, cheap tricks and that it was okay to say no if I didn't wanna go with them.
We purchased a bay window and an exterior front door and the installation process was good. I already have my furniture moved out the way. The guy came in and laid down something so the floor wouldn't get messy. It looked like it was a pretty big project, but he got it done very fast and it was very clean. I thought that it would be three days for them to finish the project but the guy got finished in two -- a full day for the window and one day for the door.
The products are top-notch qualities. I love the look and they feel sturdy. When you put in new windows and everyone in neighborhood is complimenting them, you know you did a good job. Andersen was efficient and beautiful and I would recommend them. I really hope that they don't change their sales pitch because it was really the sales pitch that got me. However they're teaching their salesmen, they're doing a really, really good job.

Working with Renewal by Andersen was very good. They reached out and sent the salesman out quickly but just like everything else, things take time. It was early spring of the year that we contacted them, and then the products were put in on the first part of October. We did five windows. We originally had Andersen windows in our house when we built it. Therefore, I felt that they are a good product. The new ones are different than the older ones. What we were looking for, too, is, there's less glass. The older ones went out further and had wood, and we were having some issues with the sweating windows and black mold around them. This new style type ones don't have any of that kind of trouble. They're made with more of that kind of intentions not showing up.
I really was fond of working with the salesperson. The installer was top-notch. He came out, and I said, "Is there more guys coming to help you?" He said, "Nope. Here I am." He put in three windows one day and came back and put in two others and did a fantastic job. He cleaned up everything. I had some of these blinds that I didn't know how to take down. So, he even helped me got them down and put them back up.

I was told that the techs from Renewal by Andersen would be here at a certain time in the morning and they were here a few minutes earlier, which was great. I was also told the installation could take the better part of the day and the installers kept working, but they were happy to answer any questions. They would stop whatever they were doing if I thought of something that I wanted to know and personality-wise, I enjoyed their company for the day. It was a really nice experience and I didn't know what I expected in the way of debris left behind, but it was as if they had never been here except that I've got some really nice windows that actually work.
Our original windows were the ones with the lowest price at Menards and when I would clean them, sometimes the little plastic tabs were breaking on them. But these Andersen windows seem to be made of sturdier stuff. The glass seems clearer, too, but it's because they're so new. Also, I haven't been opening the windows much because it's been windy, cold, and damp.

Other than the original sales appointment, they came once to measure and once to install. I was amazed that everything played out perfectly. No errors, no mistaken measurements, no hassles, no surprises. The installation crew was extremely professional. They prepped the entire house for the work with drop cloths and blankets, Despite the rain and freezing temperature, they were unfazed and completed 11 oversized windows before 5PM. Other than the new windows, there was no evidence they had been there all day!

I was pleased with all of my experiences with Renewal by Andersen. All the people that I dealt with were wonderful. They answered questions and knew what they were doing. I made an appointment with Renewal by Andersen and they sent a man. He came that same week and he brought samples of their windows and showed me what they had and what he thought would work well. I agreed with him. The service people that came out and took the old windows out and put the new windows in were magnificent. They cleaned up whatever dirt or dust. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about what they were doing and they got it done in two days.
I could tell a difference when they finished how much tighter my house seemed. My house is not drafty anymore, and I know it's because of the windows. I've had a lot of compliments from other people that have driven by and noticed that I had new windows. I heard from several of the big wigs in the company. They sent me a letter. One man sent me a personal thank you note.

We got quotes from three different companies and we decided we liked Renewal's product offering better and they have a good reputation. We purchased windows and doors and so far, they've done an excellent job. The job is a little bit complicated because the doors need some masonry work around but they took the time to get everything sorted. They had to bring out multiple people -- from their masonry people to their structural people to their windows and doors. There was a group of four or five people at my house one day all making a plan. I feel like they really care about making sure they get it right. Also, they get back to me pretty quickly if I ever call or text them.

We needed a new door and windows. Renewal by Andersen's reps came to our house and talked to us. Then, the installation was quick. They told us it could be November or December by the time they had the windows made, and they were here early. They were able to pick a day that worked for me and I was worried because it was really rainy that day. But they were still able to work around it. They got the windows in and were in and out in two days, which was a pretty good thing. We have one window where there is a piece missing from the screen, so they're going to be replacing that free of charge. They're supposed to be getting ahold of us but I haven't heard anything. Also, the cost was expensive. But other than that, so far, I've been happy with them.

We called Renewal by Andersen, and they sent somebody out. We were very impressed with their product and with what they said they did. We ordered the windows, and they did a great job. RBA told us it would take a day. But they could not guarantee that the window would be leak-proof because the windows had a problem. They could have done it in one day, except that window In the lower level leaked, so we needed to go outside RBA and hire someone to come in and take care of it. RBA came out and said, “Whoever you hired did a good job, and we're all set.”
Our custom windows fit the opening. The upstairs windows in our bedroom, we went with a screen that's tiny. So, it looks like no screen at all. And we were very happy that we did. We could have gotten the standard or the better one. For our bedroom, we wanted the better one. For downstairs, we went with the standard screen because we don't sit there and look out the window that much. It still looks great, and it matches the other windows that are down there. RBA added a channel on the outside and it looks good and so finished, and it is guaranteed that it will never leak. We have a lifetime warranty on the windows. The windows are superb. They're beautiful. They're crank windows with inside screens. The person who worked with us made sure that they matched. The outside matched perfectly. So, nobody coming up to the house would say, “That window, they replaced.” No one could tell.

They did 11 windows the first day and the remaining four the second day. Everything moved along. The first day, they had six people here. And they just went about their business. Very neat, quick and professional. And everything went fine. The windows are great. It's a lot less drafty in the house. I’d recommend RBA.

We purchased replacement windows throughout the house from Renewal by Andersen. They came out here. They scheduled for end of November. They were able to move us up a month sooner. They had scheduled and figured it would take three days, and they were done in exactly three days. Everything was done as they said it would be. The new windows are excellent. We were several years past due replacing the old windows, so anything is a marked improvement.
As far as Waunakee Remodeling specifically doing the work, they were on time. They were polite, courteous, professional, and very tidy. They cleaned up after themselves. They put floor protector runners down anywhere through the house that they were working. My only complaint would be the price. The last time I replaced windows on a house was 25 years ago, and it was a third of what this cost me.

We needed the windows and it would have been easier for us financially to go with a vinyl window, but it would have evened out the warranty in the construction of the windows versus trying to do extra construction on previously made windows. And they were custom-made to fit our frames. So, when it all got in the wash, it was more than we wanna spend but we knew the quality was gonna be there. And Renewal by Andersen is a company that locally, can get us in before a year and a half to two years.
We have 17 windows and we got 11 done including two big bay windows, which were over 150 inches, three pieces and nine singular windows. We have two dormers, which is a double-sided window and on either side of our house on the upstairs, we have two more windows and one in our bedroom and two bigger windows down in our kitchen area. I'm gonna pay cash rather than take out a loan on the other windows and the windows that we didn't get done would be the ones that Angela, the rep, would hold back on. But we need to get moving on these other windows faster. Angela helped us triage our house to help us with what windows were more dire.
The installers took about two days to get everything done. They kept us apprised of everything that was going on. One of them, Luis, even walked us around and told us which areas we would probably have issues with later on and that we could get a contractor out to deal with it. Even though we're putting windows in, we don't want the house to fall down around the window. But no, they were solid. When people find out the windows are Renewal by Andersen, they at first do a little bit of a hiss because they know it's an expensive window. But at the same time, we've told them it's custom-made to the house. We don't have to worry about them as far as the glass material that's being used, that gas system that's inside the window as far as keeping heat and cool out. That’s why I went with them and they're pretty windows.
Everybody who's saying they need new windows likes ours. But we try not to talk to them too much about the cost and more about the service and what the window’s gonna do for us. They just need to get a consultation. I can't tell them what their windows are gonna cost. But Angela was solid and she gave us about four different options on how to do it and then let us customize based upon her recommendation of if we kept these windows, we didn't do these windows, and what the whole thing would cost versus what it would cost in the meantime. We paid Renewal by Andersen for the convenience in which they did the windows, the professionalism of their company about the whole thing, and then how quick it was. Angela said it would probably be around Christmas but we got it done middle of October. It may have been two or three weeks earlier than she thought also.

We love our Windows by Renewal by Andersen. We initially got 8 of our windows replaced a few years ago and were very happy with the installation and the window. We just had 4 more windows replaced this year and were even more impressed with the service. The windows are very efficient and block out the heat in the summer and now that it is cold outside we notice our house is not drafty at all.
The windows are so well sealed and installed with quite a bit of foam insulation. The crew that came were very respectful and took care to put mats down wherever they were walking so nothing was tracked on the floors. A few days later the Sales Rep contacted us to see if he could come and check on the install. He noticed a manufacture defect in one of the windows - so small we had not noticed it. He made a note of this and is following up with the manufacturer for a replacement slider to fix the issue. We were so impressed and happy he noticed this and was taking care of it without us asking.

Interest rate 5 years At 6.99%, 10 and 15 years at 7.99% so just imagine at the total cost once all is said and done and to top that off we asked for a written estimate and was told, "NO. But if you like you can take a picture of my computer now." Who would want to do business with a company that does not want to provide you with a written estimate for that kind of price. The old Adage applies. The common law of business balance, often expressed as "you get what you pay for", is the principle that one cannot pay a little and get a lot. That is, paying a cheap price will not guarantee the buyer will receive a product of high quality value. In other words, a low price of a good may indicate that the producer compromised quality.
We considered getting windows from a 'Big Box' store, and got an estimate that was about two thirds of the Renewal windows. After getting a 'demo' of the Renewal windows from 'Mister Rogers Windows' and considering the excellent warranty coverage, materials, the clever 'Glider' picture window design, concluded that the cost was worth the investment.
The installation was super professional, and the clarity of the new glass made us realize that the old double pane windows had leakage that made moisture and whatever other contaminants severely degrade the clarity. When the windows were removed, the view of our backyard forested was unimpeded by glass - perfectly clear. After the Renewal windows were installed, the view through the new glass was as clear as the view when no window was there. We are extremely satisfied with our new Renewal windows - well worth the price.

They did a beautiful job and cleaned up very well.
I'm very pleased with the window that's in the living room. I was afraid that since I don't have my blind up there yet, we'd get a lot of heat from it. But there is no heat when the sun is shining directly on it. It's wonderful. We don't have any heat or cold coming into the house from those windows at all. I expected a month but it took longer. But as far as the install, they did well. They were quick and filled them up pretty good. I got the patio door and some windows, and they all seem good. I felt some air coming in the other day from around there, so we get a little breeze. But for the most part, my utility has been lower. I did it to lower my energy bills, and I thought with Andersen, I'd do that.

I would recommend Renewal by Andersen. They were quick, efficient, and very experienced. The first time I used them, I had five library windows. This time, I had 12 windows. They had it done within a day and a half, and everything went very well. They cleaned up, and it's a good way to go. The windows are airtight.

They got them faster than what they said. The installers cleaned up everything that they done. It all looks good. I like the quality. They're very easy to clean and to adjust pop out. We put them in specifically to try to reduce our heating bills and cooling. My wife is satisfied with it.
I had one window in my backyard that a boy that was shooting around with BB gun had shot a hole in it. Renewal by Andersen came and looked at it. I thought they warranted the window, but they didn't. They sent me a bill that said that they couldn't fix it. They wanted to charge me $100. These are $35,000 worth of windows. Overall, the windows are decent and good. But their PR is not very good.

We ordered the windows through Ryan Window and Siding, and it was installed by them. They were very good. We waited until the windows were done and then within two weeks of them being done, they were being installed. They did two of the big windows one day, and the next day, they did the following window and door. It was great. They cleaned up and took their stuff with them. I paid 32,000 for three windows and a door. It was pretty extreme. So far, we love the windows and the door. We love how easy they are to clean. We're hoping to get three more in the near future as money prevails.

I bought a picture window, sliders, and double-hung windows. It took them two days to install the windows and they did an excellent job. But there were 12 windows in my order and one of them had a crack in it because of shipping. A screw got over in the wrong spot and cracked it. They just came in and replaced it last week. Other than that, the windows are pretty good quality.

Renewal by Andersen did everything for us from beginning to end, and they told me what to expect and how long things would take. Installation was at least a two-day project. My house is old and it was par for the course. Things don't always go as initially planned. Besides that, I love the windows, and I'm very happy. They're great windows, but the jury is still out because we haven't had them very long and we haven't had to deal with any weather.

I had 13 windows put in by Renewal by Andersen, and it was two different installs. I bought seven windows the first go-around. I ordered those in mid-December, and they put them in in late March. Installation was unbelievably good. We had a snowstorm and the installer was one guy. He put in seven windows in a snowstorm, and it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. The installer was on a ladder, 20 ft up. The wind was blowing, and people couldn't see anything. In May, I ordered six more windows, and I made sure that Renewal by Andersen got the same guy on the second install. He brought help, and they put in the windows in late September, so it was beautiful. They finished in five hours.
I love the windows. I switched out Pellas and went to the Andersen ones, and it's unbelievable. The way the mechanisms work (the way they lock and open the screens that come with everything) fits perfectly. I would buy a thousand windows from these people. It's the most unreal thing I've ever seen. I own two commercial properties (a shopping center and a commercial building), so I deal with a lot of contractors. These guys are by far and away the best I've ever seen.

We used Renewal by Andersen to replace windows in our master bedroom. My sister swears by Andersen Windows and she had all her windows and doors replaced by Andersen. We decided to go with Andersen when we replaced our master bathroom windows and then the rest of the windows in our house. The sales rep gave us the best deal that was out for our windows, so the cost was less than we thought, and the crew that installed the windows was amazing. The nicest guys came in and they had something on their feet so they didn't track mud in the house. They came for two days and cleaned up so well, people wouldn't even know they were there. I was in the house while they were doing work and I never even heard a lot of noise.
The crew was considerate, moved our furniture out of the way, and moved everything back. When they left, they asked us to look at everything. They were really good, and the windows are absolutely beautiful. People have come in and said, "Your windows are gorgeous." Our windows overlook the pool. Before, they were thin and came with the build of the house. Now, we have these huge windows and they are much better quality. I can also tell that our air is more efficient in that room than it used to be. The room used to get hot and it doesn't get as hot now.

They came in, took out the old windows, put in the new windows, made sure everything was clean and gave me directions on how long to wait before I could open them to make sure things set. TL;DR: Terrible workmanship, poor communication, lack of understanding of how their own financing plans work. I cannot stress enough how terrible this company is to do business with and that you should avoid them at all costs. My neighbors had Windows replaced by this team and recommended them to me. I have always heard how great Andersen is. However, my experience was terrible starting with the installation process. I had a great experience with the sales team. Although the pricing was outlandish, the quality and workmanship would show what I was paying for, right? WRONG. I replaced half of the builder's grade windows in my house. Mainly because I couldn't afford to spend 112K to replace them all!!! Once the installers showed up they did a terrible job sealing the new windows. They did this install in February, so it was nice and cold outside. I could see the air gaps and feel the cold air flowing in around the windows.
The installers said it was good. I had to get the project manager out to see it and force them to fix the issue. Then they put the framing around the windows quickly before I could see if they really fixed the issue or not. Fast forward to today, a thermal imaging camera shows the hot/cold spots surrounding the windows in the framing. You decide. Then when they were finished, the back door wouldn't lock properly. They didn't do a good job on the trim. We have "fancy" trim, and the installer tried to match what was done, but I don't feel they have the woodworking skills to do. They should have used a coping saw but instead did a half-a glue together joint job that is mediocre at best. Next, the painters came. They didn't sand down any of the trim before painting and it looked terrible, felt super rough, and they left globs of paint where it ran down on the windowsills. They also didn't finish the trim by the door on the floor.
They used different color of caulking/sealant and a cheap piece of paint grade wood that shouldn't be painted because of the location. So, we are left with an ugly trim piece that no one can do anything about. Apparently. This is now 8 months later, and they are still coming out to fix issues. Then, to top it all off, they didn't turn the bill into the finance company in time, so I have to go through the financing portion all over again and will end up with two loans for the same project. What a cluster **. I even called them and told them to put the financing through before the funding period ended and they said it was no big deal, they will let them add the last half of the loan later. Wrong. They will not. So here I am looking at much higher interest rates because they have increased exponentially since I first signed this project a year ago.
I can't believe how terrible this project is. The turnover rate and changes of people I deal with tell me they must be a terrible company to work for as well. They can't keep competent skilled labor and their administrative staff is lackluster at best. Also, they kept sending the same worthless talent out to fix the problems they made rather than getting someone else that knew what they were doing to come out. I cannot stress enough how terrible this company is to do business with and that you should avoid them at all costs.

But I have leakage and I wasn't sure where it was coming from. So Matt, the person who came, gave us some ideas, and we tried to do it. I saw the windows installed in my previous home and I was very specific that I wanted a full replacement, not a retrofit fit. They must have spent at least a full day just prepping those two openings so that when they put the new windows in, they're not going anywhere. They wanted to make sure that everything was strong and they did a lot of work. Once they did the prep work, they screwed the windows and they used very expensive industrial caulking. It bends and flows with the weather or the temperature. I was happy with them. And their prices weren't bad and I felt I got my money's worth. At some point, we'll get more windows from Andersen.

We had Andersen windows initially in the house, and so when we finally decided after 40 years it was time to replace them, we went with the same. The house was built in the sixties and they were the original windows, but they lasted all of that time. The cranks were just wearing out, and there was a lot of wood blocking views. So, we were ready for a change. I wouldn't buy anything else. The service was excellent from the time the salesman walked in, and we contacted them. They didn't contact us. We were shopping for windows and we had been thinking about this for a while. So from the point they got here to the point we are now, the service has been amazing. The installation was done by perfectionists. They did a beautiful job. They did it in only two days. I wish every company had the type of attitude that Renewal's customer service has. The products were expensive. However, with our experience thus far, they certainly have been worth it.
One of the windows came in cracked, and they were very disappointed. That has already been rescheduled to be installed on November 6th. They've done a wonderful job of keeping us informed of where they were in the process of the original order and when it might be installed. I can't think of anything that would discourage me from recommending Renewal by Andersen to anyone.
The salesperson listened to us a lot and then he was able to give us good feedback in terms of what we were thinking and what might work better or what he agreed, “Well, that would be a good idea.” He would just give us other ideas and was not trying to convince us with anything but give me the pros and cons of why we might wanna put a slider here or not put a flyer here, and maybe put a picture window. He was very knowledgeable, and I didn't feel like he was trying to sell us anything. He was just here to help us.
We couldn't believe how great the products looked. The difference was amazing. Also, they were such nice people and did such a good job. We were so pleased. Within 15 minutes of them finishing the job, some guy came in and said he was with the Andersen Windows Quality Control and he was checking their job. He checked all around to make sure everything looked good and he double-checked how the windows opened and closed and showed me some things, but the installers had left me a book and showed me how all the windows worked.

We decided then and there, we were gonna go ahead and do it. We bought three that are just total glass and do not open -- one in the bathroom so it was frosted, and we got one big window that opens up. The rep gave us a quote on how long it would take before the products would be available for them to install and that they would call us once they were available. We waited about a month. I was at work when they did the installation and the only thing I was disappointed with when I got home was that there were some smudges on the window. They weren't exactly totally clean but that was probably from them touching the windows to install them. First impressions are everything but it is what it is.
Also, when we talked to the rep, he said something about coming out the day that they installed them, but he didn't. I was a little confused about that. But he texted us and said he had another appointment and wasn't gonna make it. That was fine. Other than those, I could not believe the difference in our bedroom, especially with how hot it was this summer. The room is cooler than the rest of the house. He knew what he was doing and he was informative but not pushy. The other guys I checked were really pushy and I didn't like that. The Renewal sales and marketing were excellent.
Renewal sent a technical guy out to measure. The crew they sent was exceptional. They put in a three-window casement. I was surprised by how quickly they got done with what they had to do. They were very thorough and clean. They also kept me informed. I was home that day, so they didn't mind answering questions as they went along. They did one window and we put in a new front door with a storm door. We went with the fiberglass one for the front door. The quality of their products is exceptional and looks fantastic. I'm gonna get another window next year.
With Renewal, you get what you pay for. There were other windows out there that were more money but they weren't this quality. They were inserts. I didn't want that for this kind of money. Renewal was expensive but it was well worth the money. Customer service called me twice just to check if everything was okay. We liked that Renewal by Andersen is a one-stop shop for they come out and do the measurement, build it there to the specs they did, and then install it. They had a local rep in the area that came out to us the first time. We got picture windows and sliding windows. They're wonderful. The rep that came out and visited us brought samples of each of the window types, along with the presentation that he had on his laptop to go through all the different types that were available. The presentation was very in-depth and helpful. It was nice to have those visual representations of what we were looking at. He kept us up-to-date on the expectation for when the windows would be done and arrive and come out, and then came afterwards to check on it as well.
As far as the installation, we let them come on in and get it all taken care of. They put plastic on all the rooms where they could to keep any dust from getting out of there and as well as keep the AC to where it was and trying to cool the whole outside. They were able to do three the first day, and then the next two the second day. They took out and then put back in what they could do in a day. They didn't go over the top and try to take all five out at once and then put themselves in a bind.
They did an excellent job and they let us know exactly what they were gonna be able to do that day and didn't try to get overzealous and rush anything. They stayed to make sure everything was done and sealed up and caulked and they went over the explanation of how to use them all. They made sure that throughout the whole process, they stayed in communication. Overall, the quality is worth the cost on there. The cost is within the expectation. I had an extraordinary and very satisfying experience with Renewal by Andersen. They were very professional from start to finish and just top-shelf. We had them come out and they made their presentation. They were substantially more expensive than the others that we had talked to. At first we did not pick them. But there was a follow-up call from the salesperson's upper management that came out and talked to us. Her name was Alicia and she came out. She was extraordinary. She said, "What we can do, because we are a manufacturer, we can redesign some of the windows that may be a little bit less expensive." We were replacing some windows that were opened. She said if we put a stationary window there, that will lower the cost.
The way she came back to us with some redesigns of windows lowered the cost down a little bit but not a lot. We were just taken aback by their advanced technology and the manufacturing. They are totally vertical and have no outside contractors. Alicia came out when the job got started as well as after the job was done. There were a couple of things that needed to be taken care of later on because of some supply issues. She was always in contact with us to let us know that, "It's here in stock and here's the appointments. Can we still confirm these days and times?" We did. We ended up spending more money because we even took out one of our single doors and had Andersen install a sliding glass door.
We're still getting emails and texts from the general manager. One of our screen doors had a slight imperfection on it for the sliding glass door and they said, "Nope, you keep this one and we'll have another one on order." It's being installed next week. I am a builder by trade and I know what it's like to deal with vendors that say they wanna come out and do something and they don't do it or they come out and do it and they're late and it's halfway done. I wish all of my trade that I do business with to build homes were as good and as professional as Andersen. My job and my hair would be a lot better.
Also, there's nobody that can touch the quality of Andersen. If everybody had the chance to listen and hear their sales pitch and see the quality of work, they would spend the extra money to go with this kind of quality. You get what you pay for. The cost was more than our budget was allowing. But their warranty policy is a lifetime.

Then, on September the 26th, I had two 4x6 windows installed at my studio apartment in Denver. They use the word clad to describe the windows which are white on the outside. When I called Alan to order, he came out the next morning to do the measurements. He gave me all the information about who I needed to call two days prior to make sure that the they had the ability to call my tenant so that they could gain access to the building.
The installers put the windows in the truck at about 6:37 and they called me at 7:15 because they had not received the dispatch memo that I had given them the day before. But they knew the address in Denver, and they had my phone number as the owner and the one that made a half down payment. So, I gave them the name and phone number of my tenant. I told them that she was expecting them and to call her when they were 20 minutes out. And that was what happened. I met them at the place and both guys were very professional, clean and precise in what they were doing. I was in the studio apartment making phone calls and texting for a period of about two-plus hours while they finished putting the final touches on things.
They said the installation was a half-day job and that if they got there at 8:30, they'd be done by 12:31. They were able to meet that timeline and when everything was good to go, I flipped them a 20 and told them to go get some pizza. They were in a little bit of a hurry to want to make their second appointment, but they didn't rush and do a bad job. However, on one of the two windows, the handles broke up at the top. So, they put in a service order and completed that. I'm pleased with the quality of the windows I received and it was at a very fair price. But trying to navigate through the link that Renewal by Andersen sent me was very tricky. It was for reviewing the work of their subcontractors which I understand is part of their bonus. But I'm in the mountains and I'm challenged technology-wise. They also get lousy marks for whatever the heck they're doing in billing and invoicing. And they get a failure in dispatch.

The reps were extremely responsive, prompt and courteous, and the sales portion exceeded my expectations in every way. We had already made the decision to use Renewal by Andersen before they arrived and I was laughing as the sales guy continued to try to sell me on the quality windows when I already knew the quality. That's a good problem to have.
The installation team that came out did an outstanding job. They were originally supposed to come on a Thursday and a Friday and we got a call on a Wednesday morning. They had gotten ahead of schedule on another job and they asked permission to come a day early. I said, "Absolutely." They did a phenomenal job installing the windows and got all of them done on the same day. The new windows are exactly what I was hoping for. They were excellent.
Overall, it was a great experience. In fact, we just noticed one of the screens on one of the windows has a puncture and it's clearly from something that happened in installation or shipping. We reached out to Renewal by Andersen and they've already been very responsive and they're gonna sort it out and get us a new screen. I was pleased to hear that because one of the worst things that could happen is to spend that much money on something brand-new only find that at some point, somebody punched a small hole in the screen. But even with that, I'm still extremely pleased.

There was a bad hailstorm here in June, and I had a couple of windows bust out, and I made the decision that I was gonna go with what would be the most energy efficient. I dealt with Lowe's in the past in having windows replaced, and they told me my windows would be in by X date, and it was five months past that date when I finally got my windows. I was like, "I'm not dealing with Lowe's again." Having gone through some of the glass companies in town, I said, "We need somebody reputable. I know it's gonna cost us an arm and a leg, but I just want something that's gonna be energy efficient and something that's gonna be good."
We went with Renewal by Andersen. They met with us at the beginning of July, and they told us it would be two to three months while they built the windows specifically to the dimensions we needed. We went with what we could afford because two of my windows are great big windows, and one of them no longer met safety standards. I had to have the front two windows replaced. It was pretty pricey. On the downstairs one, we opted to just make it a plate glass window only because I couldn't afford to put in all the pretties and have open windows, but the windows are much thicker than I realized they would be. I've noticed the difference in the house already and how much energy efficient it's been.
We had three windows in total but they probably considered it six windows because of the different components that they had to do. The upstairs window has one of those little oval pieces at the top. It looks beautiful, but I would never intentionally do it. I'd recommend them to friends. The only downside for me is the cost. I'd say, "If you can afford it, I'd go that way." Just looking at the windows, the thickness versus the thickness of the windows that I just had replaced two years ago, it's night and day.

Working with the sales rep from Renewal by Andersen was a very good experience, and installation went beautifully. The installers were fantastic guys. They were in and out really fast and everything was great. They took the care and time to make sure everything was clean and kept the house from trying to get dirty and performed their work efficiently. Customer service was good too. I've called about a couple of things that I had issues with and they haven't gotten resolved, but it's probably more my fault not following up. Other than that, they've been great. We did seven windows and one door, and it was a little expensive, but I was willing to pay a good price for some good replacement windows.

We had a very good experience. We were very impressed with it. Everybody's been very professional and on top of it. We've talked to quite a few people. The sales guy even stopped by our house to make sure everything was all right. The windows weren't supposed to be in until late October, but they came in in July. Renewal by Andersen came right on out, scheduled it, and it took one day to do all our windows. The installers were very courteous, and the windows are very high quality. However, we have an issue with one of our front windows. It had a scratch in it, and Renewal by Andersen got right on top of it and reordered a new pane for that window. They're taking care of us. They came out in September to replace it.
Unfortunately, the one they were gonna replace it with also had the scratch in the same spot. The guy that came out had to take it back and made some phone calls, and we made a note. They're now ordering a new one for us and we haven't heard when that's coming in, but the guy said, next time, they're gonna open and look at the window before they bring it up instead of when they get to the house. Other than that, we haven't had any issues. Everything's fantastic. The windows are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Customer service was also very responsive and courteous and a step above any customer service I've ever seen and I work in purchasing.

Updated on 10/03/2023: All the responses that RBA gives to negative reviews are all the same. The quickness of the response seems to be computer generated. I don't seem to be able to find any consumer responses to their responses that indicated that anyone ever got any relief. Their response is just to check off a box and has nothing to do with changing their desire to resolve a customer's issue with their product. Their real response is to do nothing and outlast the custom actions to actually get the product that was promised. Their salespersons and employees that interact with customer all give the same platitude of "We will do whatever it takes to make it right". It should say, to be accurate if they all said "If you have any issues with our product or installation we will ignore you until you give up and shut up." They know that legal actions will cost the customer more than the job is worth.
I naively believed the TV promo's and didn't do my due diligence and research this company. Had I done that research I would not have a installation 7 month over due with windows with 1 locking device instead of 2 and a $25K front door that is 3 inches smaller than the opening that they measured twice. Now they won't even talk with me or my attorney. I now wonder if they will ever finish the install even with the mis-measured door. A reasonable offer to accommodate their incompetence would be accepted.
Their initial offer of $2K is not reasonable for the egregiousness of their actions and the installation of inappropriate windows and door. All that read this review should beware, they will do nothing to "make it right". No matter how many times they spout their talking point that they will make it right, unless you are willing to spend outrageous legal fees to force them to do what they say they will do because it is the right thing to do. Believe nothing they say!!!
Original Review: Signed contract in December 2022 with a completion date to be in March 2023. In March I was informed that my project had been placed on hold because of a question on whether windows were to have 1 or 2 locks and if the 3 windows ordered without screens was correct. Both issues could have been resolved with a phone call. The project was restarted when I complained with an adjusted completion date of end of June 2023. RBA was informed that the windows were to have two locking devices and the screens were not to be included. When the window were delivered and installed they only had 1 locking device and screens were included that were to be excluded. What was the purpose of the delay if they were going to do what they wanted.
The custom front Door that cost $25K was to be a direct replacement for my front door. When delivered it was 3 inches more narrow than the door being replaced. The installers attempted to shim the opening and install the door without informing me that the door was smaller than the opening. I did notice and stopped the install until the error could be corrected. RBA refused to replace the door with a correctly sized door and offered $2K as an adjustment.
Offering the adjustment is an admission that their door isn't the door ordered. I had the project on hold while I explored my legal options since all the above kerfuffle was cause by RBA's management's incompetence. I asked for only $4K as an acceptable adjustment to accept the improperly sized door and the windows with the wrong locking hardware. The installation crew stopped the project 8 July 2023 leaving the front door lacking trim and paint. The door is still in its incomplete state of installation as of today 26 September 2023. I will update this review with a more complete narrative with attached photos.

After many more months of contacting them to fix it and not hearing back, I finally got to the regional manager through LinkedIn, who offered me a new window at the discounted price of $1,800 without acknowledging the sales person's error, saying the leak "was not their fault."
Now two years later, every time it rains and I have to put a bucket on the window sill to catch the leak, I'm reminded of how awful I feel about the whole experience. But the approved contractor gave me a different timeline when I first met with them and then when I actually went to order, he told me it was the three-month timeline. The lead times are a little ridiculous for how long it took to get my windows.
The installation was pretty simple. They subbed out another contractor to install it and it went pretty smoothly. They got the windows in in one day but they put the wrong aluminum trim on it so, I had to wait another three weeks for them to come back out and fix that. After that, they had to come and fix the siding so, it took a lot longer than I expected. But they corrected it so it was all good. Also, the windows seem to be performing pretty well. When the windows were received, I paid him the second 3rd and I paid the final 3rd when they came in and installed them on the day they said they would. The installers cleaned up nicely after they were done. The site looked better than when they came. The installation was beautiful.
Quality of service is excellent. They pointed out some of the difficulties with my home and some of the things I need to take care of that they couldn't so that the windows would last a long time. There's some leakage going around my roof. They pointed that out to me so I could take care of it. They weren't allowed to go beyond their area, but they pointed those out so I could do it or get someone else to do it. They took care of me to make sure things would last. I really appreciated that.
The windows are wonderful. The up and down window works well and lock easily. The sliders are easy to manipulate back and forth. The screens are easy to take in and out. The exterior trim was excellent. The caulking they did was excellent on the inside and the outside. As far as the cost, it was a little steep, but then you pay for good quality. If I get more windows replaced, they’ll be coming back. I'll tell others to look into Renewal by Andersen. It'll be a long-lasting product.

All in all, it was a good experience with RBA. The rep told us about the product, showed us what it would do and then answered all of our questions. If we had any problems, we could talk to him and he checked back with us, and made sure everything was done properly. The installers removed the old windows from the frame and removed the frame. They sized the windows up, made sure everything fit, proceeded to set the windows the way they needed to be set, and then put the foam installation around everything, sealed them off, and trimmed them all out. We had two sashes that had scratches on them and they immediately noticed them and told us about them, showed us where they were at, and then they came out and replaced them very shortly thereafter. I would recommend them. The quality of service seemed good. The workmanship was very good. I thought the cost was a little pricey. But hopefully, in the long run, they'll pay for itself.

They were making conversation the whole time. The windows are great.

The rep showed me everything about Andersen Windows. It was a very impressive presentation. They have that mini window that they bring in and show you how the windows and the screens work and how you can clean the windows. It was very educational. Renewal by Andersen lived up to everything that I expected. He provided good details on what the windows would do and how much energy they would save. He answered all my questions, gave me more information than I could have ever asked for and gave me paperwork to back up what the windows would do. I was happy with everything that he gave.
He said it could take six months as they had to handmake the windows, but they got it done within two months and did a great job, too. I was very impressed that it happened that quick. Two gentlemen came in and replaced the windows. I watched them do it, and I couldn't have asked for better installation. I was a scared when they tore out the other windows, but I saw what they did when they put the new windows in. They took care of everything. They were sealed properly. I couldn't have asked for a better product. They are a little expensive, but they're well worth the investment.

I replaced nine windows. There was a single guy, Mike, and he did an excellent job. There are a couple of tweaks that need to be done though. They need to do a little trim. One of the windows I ordered has two inset lifts, but there's only one that's on it. On one of the windows, the screen has a hole in it. They're aware of that and they're gonna replace it. But those are minor things. I'm happy with the purchase I made.

I got a custom sliding glass window in my condo from Renewal by Andersen. The quality is great. It took a little bit though. I ordered it in March, and it came in June. When the installer came to install it, the frame ended up being cracked from transportation. They had to send it back and reframe it. It did not get installed until the end of August, so I was upset with the whole situation. It was frustrating with the frame cracking and having to wait another month. I had to put aluminum foil against my windows because it got so hot in my bedroom. But they resolved it. Natalie worked with me on giving me an adjustment for a price because I took a $500 day off from work for nothing the first time. The second time, they worked with me about adjusting it to my day off. Considering all the hiccups, I was still very happy.

But $3,000 a window is very expensive. The whole front of my house has solar screens and they took some of them and did not put them back up. So now, it looks funky because the two Andersens that they put in there don't have solar screens on them, and it doesn't match the other windows. I called the installation manager to ask him about it two days ago, and he said he'd call me back but he never did. That's been two days ago now. But other than that, I'm happy with everything.

To begin with, I wanted to know how much the windows and door cost but was informed by the salesperson that Renewal by Andersen doesn’t provide detailed invoice. They only provided me with a flat fee. I never knew that the cost of installation was a separate amount. I seriously feel I was overcharged. When I explained my requirements on the windows I wanted installed on my sunporch, I was disappointed in the windows that were installed. (Too large.) There were a few miscommunications with the actual date for the installation. The windows and door were installed but the installer will need to return to perform rework because one of the windows is white on one side and a different shade of white on the other side. Nail holes can be seen on the door frame and need to be filled and painted.
I was informed that my total cost for the windows (which I believed would include installation) jumped up drastically by an extra $6,500.00. I reached out to the general manager after the installation and found out I could have received a detailed invoice from the very beginning. I would not have followed through with this transaction if I had known the true cost for the windows and door. I offered feedback to the general manager that his sales reps should be required to have a checklist to go over every detail that should be discussed with any potential customers. The sales rep should have provided a computerized image of what my windows would look like.
Renewal by Andersen is attempting to make things right by providing handles to the sliding windows that I have difficulty opening. Also, Renewal by Andersen has reduced my bill by about $2000.00 for all of the hardships for doing business with them. I’m just stating the facts of my experience with this company. I’ll need more windows in the future but I’ve learned my lesson the hard way. Next time I’ll obtain quotes from a number of companies and not put my faith in a single company. I’m a single woman and about to retire soon, I feel like I was taken for a ride with this purchase.

I had a negative experience from trying to work with Renewal by Andersen. This happened due to the structure of the contract and the non-customer-oriented organization of its preparation. Here are the inconsistencies in the drafting of a contract for the replacement of a door that I worked on:
- Each page of the contract has a mandatory signature, but the page depicting the subject of the contract with a description of its main features (in my case, the subject was a door) does not have a signature, which makes the subject of the contract as if unrelated to the contract.
- The page with the image of the subject of the contract was located at the very end of the contract, which breaks its connection with the pages describing the subject of the contract.
- There is no blocking the completion of the contract in case of not signing any specific page of the contract (for example, the contract termination page), which undermines the legitimacy of the contract and negatively affects the knowledge of the customer.
- Crediting the contract by a bank should not be part of the contract, since its current inclusion makes the crediting a mandatory part of the contract (which it should not be) and creates additional problems when the customer contacts the bank in the case of a contract cancellation (as in my case).
- Electronic signing of the contract is convenient, but 15 pages of the contract take time to carefully review it. Therefore, signing should be carried out after the customer has received an e-mail with the text of the contract and carefully studied it - otherwise, the likelihood of an error in the contract and the need to terminate it increases.
A summary of my experience with “Renewal by Andersen” is that organizing contract work increases the likelihood of contract errors, taking longer than it should due to errors, and creating a negative image for the entire company.

They said they have a sister company with the name of ReBuildit, and they would do one window. They came out and gave me an estimate. But it was a lengthy time for them to even come out. It was due to them ordering the custom window which was disappointing to me because I thought they'd have it on stock. It's a typical size window. The reason I chose to go with them was due to the quality of the window. It was supposed to be Fibrex. But it was super expensive. They took atest thing to see if heat came through, and it was, from the outside in. He showed me the different products available to me. I told him what kind I wanted and he took me through the catalog and showed me different colors of hardware and styles.
He explained that there would be a person out within a week and to take measurements again to make sure everything was perfect. And that when the guys would come out, they would do their job, do it good and as quickly as possible, and that happened too. I gave him a deposit and he followed up with me a couple of times between the ordering and the installation. When they ordered them, they let me know they had been ordered. I picked Renewal by Andersen because of what they say on their ads. Also, the weather is really hard on everything so I like the 20-year warranty. Their reps were very good. The guy that did the consulting on what we needed and the sizing was very down to earth. I didn't feel pressured doing it. He was very upfront with the cost. I liked Renewal's incentive package around the financing charges.
The installation went very well, too. I thought the team did a great job. They sent out a very experienced team. We did have a problem with the install. When we got done, the windows on the inside didn't look like they were very professionally finished. The team said, “Your house is always framed up one way, and we measure it and come as close as we can." There's still some gaps in the spaces, so they filled that in with caulk. They did a pretty nice job with the caulk, but it didn't look like a finished product on the inside. So, we were very unhappy with that.
I talked to the sales guy and also the technical guy, and I took pictures of it, and I talked to the team that installed it. They said, “Yeah, you need to talk, talk to these guys. We know there's things you can do.” The lead on the installation immediately said, “We can fix this pretty easy.” He had experience as a master carpenter and did a lot of trim work. He said, “It's not that hard to fix. I just can't fix it for you right now until we get approval to fix it. But I would definitely talk to the guys.” So, I talked to Renewal's team and a guy came out and he said, “Yeah, that doesn't look right." They stepped up and they fixed it, and it came out great.
We did our house in two phases, and the first phase was on the front of the house. The front of our house has very hot southern exposure. We have big trees out front that block this thing in the summer. But even in the summer, we could immediately tell the windows made a huge difference on the heat in the house. I really like that it blocks a lot of the damaging rays. In the winter, you'd be shocked at how much a southern exposure gets hot. We have these special shades when we first built the house because they didn't have this technology. We had these special thermal shades, but it blocked this beautiful view we had.
We could never open the windows because it was too hot in these southern exposure rooms. One of them was this huge, beautiful living room we have. We couldn't open the windows because it got too hot, and then it was cooking everything in there and the rays were destroying the furniture and the floors. We noticed immediately that that was not true anymore. So last year, we were able to keep the windows open most of the time, and it added so much to the ambience of the house.
The price is a lot. You pay for what you get, but we did do some other windows in our lower level, and we've been satisfied with them. Andersen was expensive, and it almost kept me from doing the deal, but I feel like I really got a quality product out of it, and I got this installation guarantee where they would come out and fix no matter what happens. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Their response was most frustrating. They questioned me at length & wanted to send someone out to verify that the alarm was indeed not working. I wasn’t lying. My alarm company had already been out. Then they offered to take the windows out to ensure that no wires were cut. It was simply ludicrous. In the end, Renewal by Anderson would pay for the service call from my alarm company. In retrospect, I think they got off easy.

We replaced windows that we were having the most problems with. They're sliders and a couple that are fixed. I am surprised at the customer service from Renewal -- everybody that's reached out to make sure we're satisfied and happy. The crew who did the installation was really professional and did a great job. They knew what they were doing, didn't bother us, and let us know what they were doing. One of the sashes was damaged and I didn't even notice but they pointed it out whenever they were showing me. After the installation, they had told me they had already ordered it. I was glad that it's not like they were trying to sneak anything by. The quality of the windows is awesome, so far. We love them. They look really good and we think that they're gonna last a long time. We can already tell the difference in the house.

I had a window and a door replacement done by Renewal and the carpenter was very efficient and knew his stuff. Shelby, the construction manager, was also very conscientious. He came out here twice and surveyed what needed to be done. The crew had to remove two huge sliding door units and put in a huge window and a huge replacement sliding door. Then, they did fine with the cleanup. They did it from 10:30 to 2:30 in the afternoon. There's still some trim work that needs to be done. It's not the same crew that does that but I'm perfectly happy with the follow-up on the people coming out to do the trim work. It's a very well-organized group and they do exactly what they need to do. If I needed to install another window, I would use them again.

They arrived every day on time and they worked their tails off. Working with Renewal was a great experience. They have fabulous products.

One of the big reasons why we really wanna go with Renewal is they're a very reputable company. They are top-notch. Another reason why my wife and I wanted to go with them is it's a streamlined process. Renewal make the windows and install them -- there's no middle man. The chances of something getting messed up are a lot slimmer. Also, one of my coworkers got windows done by them and he said that they did an awesome job and in my opinion, word of mouth is a little more meaningful. Dwight, the sales guy was very knowledgeable and helpful. He didn't try to upsell us on anything and he was more taking in concern of what we needed. He gave us a lot of good information. For instance, he told us that at our elevation, triple-pane windows aren't really necessary and it's just an extra cost. The way that he described it made total sense.
The people who installed the windows were very professional, courteous, and nice. They worked very well and we're very happy with the overall results. The only issue that I ran into was that they scheduled the install for the 21st. I called on the 5th and told him that we needed to reschedule it because my dog didn't have doggy daycare that day. I got a call from the installer on the 21st saying he was on the way. It turned into a little headache issue but they got it resolved within a couple of hours. Then, they scheduled it on the 28th for a morning install but it got pushed in the afternoon so I ended up taking a night off from work. Other than that, they did awesome and we're gonna be returning customers for our doors.

We had our sliding door done by Renewal by Andersen before. We had front windows done this time around. One window was a large slider that was a double hung, and two were non-opening picture windows. The windows look good. It turned out better than expected. The installers were quick and clean. One of them was very talkative and told us everything they were doing. The other one was quite good. Our slider was running a little heavy, and he adjusted that so it would run better, and the handle was a little tighter.

From the sales rep to the window installation process I had a great experience. I had 26 windows replaced in about 4 days. The windows look outstanding and are high end. The team took pride in their workmanship and were very skilled. When I expressed a concern about an issue, it was quickly taken care of. They even replaced some bad siding and painted it for me. Andersen wants you to be happy with your new windows and will do whatever it takes to make sure you are very pleased with your new windows. My windows look great and I expect to be saving money on my power bills. I have had numerous compliments on my windows. Replacing windows is a tremendous investment. Renewal by Andersen may cost more than some other companies, but the quality is top notch and all the people are professional. This company really cares about each client and wants you to have a good experience.

I was in the building business for a while, so I knew Andersen windows were good. We wanted to replace our windows, so I started looking at windows for replacement, and I really felt like Andersen was, by far, one of the best products. The rep from Renewal, Sarah, and her husband came over initially. They had a great presentation, but I was already sold on it. So, it was just affirmation of what I had already researched online. They did a really good job of measuring the windows and showing us how much it would cost, and also showing us how they could do it partially, instead of having to do it all up front, and discussed all the different types of payment options. We were able to complete all the documentation that we needed to on that day. Then it worked. It was very nice and easy.
For right now, we got four bedroom windows installed. They are all big double-hung windows. They did the installation in one day. We scheduled and got all the stuff moved out from around there. My husband got neuropathy in his fingers, and he couldn't get the blinds down. They were able to do that for us. Then they went to work and stayed at it until they were finished. They cleaned up after themselves and left.
The windows are really beautiful. Also, we noticed a distinct temperature drop in our bedroom. Part of the reason why we replaced the windows was because it was so hot. We had lost a tree and so we lost our protection from the western sun. Now, we could tell a huge difference. It's five degrees. So, it was definitely worth it. We love our new windows. We're glad that we did it. We'll be replacing the rest of them.

I got windows from Renewal by Andersen and the process was all good. The timeline took about three months. Initially, the timeline was a little longer as they had to custom-make the windows. The installers were great and the job took a full day. The windows are really good and I'm very satisfied. Renewal did a very good job of communicating from the sales team, the sales agent that came down once I reached out for a consultation to ordering to the installation team.

I had a front door and a sliding glass door installed by Renewal. Everything looks fine. It took a while to get everything done because the front door had to be specially fabricated, but that was fine. They kept me informed. The products are expensive, but they seem good. If they were a few thousand dollars cheaper, they'd be perfect. The installation was good. The sales guy was helpful and not too pushy.

We had some other vendors come out and give us estimates. They were going to replace our vinyl windows with vinyl windows, but Andersen said that they advertise that but their products were not vinyl, they were composite. We got them to come out to give us an estimate, and even with the 25% discount, we were a little shocked on the sticker price. The whole project cost over six figures and we got a lot of windows in our house. We decided to get one window and see how we like it. Then once we get the first window paid off and we liked what we got there, we may start changing other windows each year and slowly go through the house when we can afford it.
We chose a window in one spot over the sink and we really went with that window because of the design that they offered. It had a picture window and on the two windows off to the side of that picture window, they slid instead of opened up and down. We decided to go with that because that window that's over our kitchen sink is 106 inches. We have a pretty view outside our kitchen, across our property, so we got that to get rid of the divided-light. The installation took half a day and the only thing we had to wait on was the window to come in, which took two months and a half months from the time the rep placed the order to the time the installers came out and put the window in.
The installer was very professional and protected all parts of the house. I pointed out that there was a defect on the window that came from the manufacturer from when it was built. The window was a bronze color and I could see some silver. Two pieces of trim looked like they were cut short and that installer took pictures and put it into the system. Then I got an email that they've ordered those pieces. And when they get them in, they'll call me to get the installer to come replace them.
The other thing was, when the guy who come out and did the measuring, I wasn't home. But we called and I asked them how they were going to trim out the window once it's installed because I have cedar. They said the installer will bring cedar with them but I may have to stain it because they didn't have that, to which I agreed. But when the installer came out, he didn't bring any cedar. He said he wasn't told to bring any and it wasn't on the PO. But I told him no fail because I've got extra cedar in my barn, leftover from the construction of the house. So I went and got some cedar that was already stained. He took the boards I had, fixed it, and did the trim with the wood I had. I also told the installer that if we get some more windows done, I will have some cedar here and it will be stained. Just in case something like that happens again, so they wouldn't have to have a second trip out here.
So far, we love our new window because it's makes a big difference. We had divided-light on those two side windows, but now, we don't have any divided-light. It's wide open. The other part we love about it is the screens where you cannot tell if there are screen on the side windows or not. They don't use a normal window screen anymore and they use what they call a mesh. In one of my existing windows, the screen is darker and a little bit distorted. So, your view is distorted with the screen on there versus the top of the window that has no screen. On our new window, there are screens on the two side windows that slide, but they're not distorted.

Renewal by Andersen had a good promotion going on. The products also seem like really good quality. We got the basic windows. On a few of them, we got the kind that opens out 'cause they can be open in the rain, and they make the room look bigger because they don't have that center bar thing. The rep said to expect four to six months. But it was done sooner than that. We like the installers too. They were fast and efficient. They did a good job.

They did an amazing job. They did five windows, living room, kitchen, and each room. We had all windows. They had to break the outframe and had to rebuild a new one. They did everything by the book, bullet by bullet. We like the way you can clean the windows, you can open and you can close them. We have a screen, too. Now, I'm thinking that I'll change my sliding door with Andersen too. They're the best company right now in the country. They did my house in six hours.

I got double-hung windows. The installers were amazing. They went above and beyond. They repaired part of my wall at no extra charge. They saw daylight through part of the wall and they had some extra sealant and they sealed it all up for me. And they even left me a tube that, if I found any more, that I could seal it up myself. The cleanup went great too. It was like they were never there. The windows have gas in them and they have really reduced the noise level.

The windows and the sliding door are as good as they get no doubt about it, super high quality. Communication within the company and between the company and us was very poor. It improved when a man called AJ got involved. They measured our door opening missed by three inches, the door was too big. They said if we accepted the door they would take $1,500. off our $24,000. cost if not we would have another six or seven months, so we accepted. Making the opening bigger was no small thing as are walls are cement. They cut them with a saw that used water. The water damaged our laminate floor that is no longer manufactured so to repair the whole floor would have to be replaced. I showed this to AJ and thought he would give us a additional discount, he didn’t. The damage is not very noticeable but you also don’t have to look very hard. If I had to do it over again I’m not sure if I would use Renewal By Andersen.

They have a product called Fibrex and from my research and looking at all this stuff, it looks like it stands up better in the heat and cold of where we live. It doesn't expand and contract like vinyl. They gave us a bid and even though Andersen was more expensive than other companies, we decided to go with them because it appeared to be a better product. We had a little problem at the start of the installation. The first crew that came out had heat exhaustion and had to leave. They kind of haphazardly left everything all over the place and said they wouldn't be back for a couple of days. We couldn't wait a couple of days because the job was half done. We called them and immediately, they sent out another crew that came out from Dallas. They were wonderful and they did a great job. They knew what they were doing and they were very courteous.

I got the 400 series from Andersen. I had certain time constraints, and I spelled it out very clearly when I first ordered the products and signed the contract. The first day, the installers arrived way too early, and that was a problem. And while they did do a good job, they didn't follow through. Aside from the windows, they were to have done other things. The windows needed to have been stained before they went into the house, and they did not help me with that. I didn't understand they needed to be stained first, and it's been hard finding someone that will go in there and stain them after they're installed. So, I'm not happy with that at all. After I got them in, I went on Andersen's website. That was where I learned all kinds of information online. It could have been done very easily. They could have delivered them to the garage, somebody could have come and stained them, and then they could have installed them.

The consultant was very straightforward. He really presented himself in a very, very knowledgeable and friendly way. He told me that it would probably be several months for the installation but they would be contacting me about when they would be available for me, and they did. I had to cancel once and send it back again because of something else that came in. But they were very, very good about it. Then they were here for an entire day and cleaned up. It was great.
I had five windows installed. Originally, I talked to them about a new front door. But when the guy came to measure, he said they were not gonna be able to do it. It was understandable. So it was fine. The whole process was great. It went faster than I thought it would. They even threw in handles on my windows at no extra cost because my windows have never had handles, which made it hard to get them up and down. So they did that on all the windows and that has been an enormous help. I love it. I've had compliments from friends that have come over and taken a look at the windows.
