The reps were extremely responsive, prompt and courteous, and the sales portion exceeded my expectations in every way. We had already made the decision to use Renewal by Andersen before they arrived and I was laughing as the sales guy continued to try to sell me on the quality windows when I already knew the quality. That's a good problem to have.
The installation team that came out did an outstanding job. They were originally supposed to come on a Thursday and a Friday and we got a call on a Wednesday morning. They had gotten ahead of schedule on another job and they asked permission to come a day early. I said, "Absolutely." They did a phenomenal job installing the windows and got all of them done on the same day. The new windows are exactly what I was hoping for. They were excellent.
Overall, it was a great experience. In fact, we just noticed one of the screens on one of the windows has a puncture and it's clearly from something that happened in installation or shipping. We reached out to Renewal by Andersen and they've already been very responsive and they're gonna sort it out and get us a new screen. I was pleased to hear that because one of the worst things that could happen is to spend that much money on something brand-new only find that at some point, somebody punched a small hole in the screen. But even with that, I'm still extremely pleased.

There was a bad hailstorm here in June, and I had a couple of windows bust out, and I made the decision that I was gonna go with what would be the most energy efficient. I dealt with Lowe's in the past in having windows replaced, and they told me my windows would be in by X date, and it was five months past that date when I finally got my windows. I was like, "I'm not dealing with Lowe's again." Having gone through some of the glass companies in town, I said, "We need somebody reputable. I know it's gonna cost us an arm and a leg, but I just want something that's gonna be energy efficient and something that's gonna be good."
We went with Renewal by Andersen. They met with us at the beginning of July, and they told us it would be two to three months while they built the windows specifically to the dimensions we needed. We went with what we could afford because two of my windows are great big windows, and one of them no longer met safety standards. I had to have the front two windows replaced. It was pretty pricey. On the downstairs one, we opted to just make it a plate glass window only because I couldn't afford to put in all the pretties and have open windows, but the windows are much thicker than I realized they would be. I've noticed the difference in the house already and how much energy efficient it's been.
We had three windows in total but they probably considered it six windows because of the different components that they had to do. The upstairs window has one of those little oval pieces at the top. It looks beautiful, but I would never intentionally do it. I'd recommend them to friends. The only downside for me is the cost. I'd say, "If you can afford it, I'd go that way." Just looking at the windows, the thickness versus the thickness of the windows that I just had replaced two years ago, it's night and day.

Working with the sales rep from Renewal by Andersen was a very good experience, and installation went beautifully. The installers were fantastic guys. They were in and out really fast and everything was great. They took the care and time to make sure everything was clean and kept the house from trying to get dirty and performed their work efficiently. Customer service was good too. I've called about a couple of things that I had issues with and they haven't gotten resolved, but it's probably more my fault not following up. Other than that, they've been great. We did seven windows and one door, and it was a little expensive, but I was willing to pay a good price for some good replacement windows.

We had a very good experience. We were very impressed with it. Everybody's been very professional and on top of it. We've talked to quite a few people. The sales guy even stopped by our house to make sure everything was all right. The windows weren't supposed to be in until late October, but they came in in July. Renewal by Andersen came right on out, scheduled it, and it took one day to do all our windows. The installers were very courteous, and the windows are very high quality. However, we have an issue with one of our front windows. It had a scratch in it, and Renewal by Andersen got right on top of it and reordered a new pane for that window. They're taking care of us. They came out in September to replace it.
Unfortunately, the one they were gonna replace it with also had the scratch in the same spot. The guy that came out had to take it back and made some phone calls, and we made a note. They're now ordering a new one for us and we haven't heard when that's coming in, but the guy said, next time, they're gonna open and look at the window before they bring it up instead of when they get to the house. Other than that, we haven't had any issues. Everything's fantastic. The windows are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Customer service was also very responsive and courteous and a step above any customer service I've ever seen and I work in purchasing.

I would highly recommend Renewal by Andersen. Originally, we were told that the installation would take three days, but they did it in two days. The guys who did it looked professional. They were very personable. They were here for about six hours each day for two days. They cleaned up. There was not a piece of sawdust left when they were done. We've got three sliding patio doors. I love them. Also, all of our other windows in our house are Andersen windows and we're happy with them.

I used Renewal by Andersen when I lived in Topeka, Kansas. They have good windows that's why we went back to them after using them years ago. I purchased three sliders and one double hung. They're extremely expensive, but they are worth the money. Installation was good. The crew knew what they were doing. They received questions and answered them thoroughly. When there was anything that I requested they did extra, they were able to take care of it. I was happy with Renewal by Andersen, and I would recommend them. It just depends on what your goal is. If you're trying to fix the window for resale purposes, then I wouldn't suggest them. But if you're doing it for your forever home or if you're just trying to be a good steward of what God's given you, go with them.

Renewal by Andersen is a good company. The guy that sold the windows went through the whole thing. But he could improve his attitude. He said at the end, “I know you're not gonna call me.” We made the decision. We called them. But he almost lost the business with his mouth. The installers did a great job. They had to replace the wood inside the windows. And we had another guy staining who did a great job. It was all excellent. If people could get the same craftsmen that we had, they would be, "Oh, it’s very aesthetic."

Renewal by Andersen is the only company you need to go through. When they ordered the windows, they said it would be four months before they came in because we ordered 20 windows. That was a lot. I wanted something that would last and I knew that Renewal by Andersen would do a good job. Everybody that I worked with was very nice, thorough, showed me the product and what benefits came with it, and told me about the energy-saving part of the windows. So, I was happy with everybody. Even the installers were very good.
They came to my door and told me it would probably take a day to get the windows in. And it looked like it would rain. He said, "Do you want me to do it today even if it rains?" I said, "Yeah, I wanted to get my windows in." So, they proceeded to work on them and they were quiet, efficient, and told me when they would have to come in and out. I purchased three windows for the bedrooms and they're nice. I love them. I knew it would cost a lot because they're very good windows. And I would like to, once I get these paid down, finish my house and get the rest of the windows. But they were good about telling me I could do a few at a time if I could afford it.

Signed a contract for replacement of several doors and windows. One year later our project is not complete. The installers damaged window sill and shutters on one window. One window has arrived cracked five times. The installers convinced me to allow them to install the first cracked window as it would make the followup installation much quicker. Response times are extremely poor. When a cracked window arrives, it takes 2 months for the next cracked window to arrive. Then it arrives cracked and we start over. I wish I had never called these people. Terrible experience.

The representative who came to measure was wonderful. The window glass and screening was top drawer. However, working with the Homeowner to find an affordable solution, as is stated in their commercials, was not my experience. There is only so much they can do. Their loan interest rates are high, and the replacements are WAY out of my league. They did not have a solution to my window problem that I could afford. Keep that in mind when calling for estimates. I was prepared to pay several thousand dollars, but not prepared for the amount needed to replace my window.

We financed (with high interest) $12,000 for a security back door to be installed in our house in March 2023. We are on Social Security, so it was a very big expenditure for us. March 7th was to be our install date.. It is now September 2023, and still waiting for them to come out and finish our door. It took two crews and many days to get the door installed. We have called over and over and no one answers the phones at this business.
When I said we wanted compensation for our trouble, we were told they would call us back.. We have not heard a word from them, and the door needs adjusted at present time, and we are still being charged the $12,000. No compensation for our troubles at all. Do NOT do business with this crooked company. After the salesman gets the sale and they install the product half way eventually, you can't get hold of them anymore. The first crew that TRIED to install the doors, left us with gaping holes in it, it was snowing very cold outside, and they split, never to come again.!!! Sent a second crew days later, and they said the first crew was ** and didn't do a good job at all. They had to take the whole thing apart. We still can't get hold of them. Nor was any compensation for our trouble ever offered.

Updated on 10/03/2023: All the responses that RBA gives to negative reviews are all the same. The quickness of the response seems to be computer generated. I don't seem to be able to find any consumer responses to their responses that indicated that anyone ever got any relief. Their response is just to check off a box and has nothing to do with changing their desire to resolve a customer's issue with their product. Their real response is to do nothing and outlast the custom actions to actually get the product that was promised. Their salespersons and employees that interact with customer all give the same platitude of "We will do whatever it takes to make it right". It should say, to be accurate if they all said "If you have any issues with our product or installation we will ignore you until you give up and shut up." They know that legal actions will cost the customer more than the job is worth.
I naively believed the TV promo's and didn't do my due diligence and research this company. Had I done that research I would not have a installation 7 month over due with windows with 1 locking device instead of 2 and a $25K front door that is 3 inches smaller than the opening that they measured twice. Now they won't even talk with me or my attorney. I now wonder if they will ever finish the install even with the mis-measured door. A reasonable offer to accommodate their incompetence would be accepted.
Their initial offer of $2K is not reasonable for the egregiousness of their actions and the installation of inappropriate windows and door. All that read this review should beware, they will do nothing to "make it right". No matter how many times they spout their talking point that they will make it right, unless you are willing to spend outrageous legal fees to force them to do what they say they will do because it is the right thing to do. Believe nothing they say!!!
Original Review: Signed contract in December 2022 with a completion date to be in March 2023. In March I was informed that my project had been placed on hold because of a question on whether windows were to have 1 or 2 locks and if the 3 windows ordered without screens was correct. Both issues could have been resolved with a phone call. The project was restarted when I complained with an adjusted completion date of end of June 2023. RBA was informed that the windows were to have two locking devices and the screens were not to be included. When the window were delivered and installed they only had 1 locking device and screens were included that were to be excluded. What was the purpose of the delay if they were going to do what they wanted.
The custom front Door that cost $25K was to be a direct replacement for my front door. When delivered it was 3 inches more narrow than the door being replaced. The installers attempted to shim the opening and install the door without informing me that the door was smaller than the opening. I did notice and stopped the install until the error could be corrected. RBA refused to replace the door with a correctly sized door and offered $2K as an adjustment.
Offering the adjustment is an admission that their door isn't the door ordered. I had the project on hold while I explored my legal options since all the above kerfuffle was cause by RBA's management's incompetence. I asked for only $4K as an acceptable adjustment to accept the improperly sized door and the windows with the wrong locking hardware. The installation crew stopped the project 8 July 2023 leaving the front door lacking trim and paint. The door is still in its incomplete state of installation as of today 26 September 2023. I will update this review with a more complete narrative with attached photos.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am with our Renewal by Andersen experience. We hired them to fix a leaking window. The day after installation, the window was leaking. After two months of asking for someone to come assess the issue, the employee "who no longer works there" said we were sold "the wrong window". After many more months of contacting them to fix it and not hearing back, I finally got to the regional manager through LinkedIn, who offered me a new window at the discounted price of $1,800 without acknowledging the sales person's error, saying the leak "was not their fault."
Now two years later, every time it rains and I have to put a bucket on the window sill to catch the leak, I'm reminded of how awful I feel about the whole experience. To add insult to injury, I'm still paying for the leaking window (with interest) and still getting promotional mailings telling me I'm a valued customer. I had to go through one of their approved contractors for the 100 series that I needed, which I don't like because it's paying markup upon markup. I couldn't just buy direct and have someone else install it. It comes with a lifetime warranty, though. But the approved contractor gave me a different timeline when I first met with them and then when I actually went to order, he told me it was the three-month timeline. The lead times are a little ridiculous for how long it took to get my windows.
The installation was pretty simple. They subbed out another contractor to install it and it went pretty smoothly. They got the windows in in one day but they put the wrong aluminum trim on it so, I had to wait another three weeks for them to come back out and fix that. After that, they had to come and fix the siding so, it took a lot longer than I expected. But they corrected it so it was all good. Also, the windows seem to be performing pretty well. If you're planning on getting windows replaced, they're good windows. Just know they're gonna take a long time and they're more expensive than some of the other lower quality brands.

Quality of service is excellent. They pointed out some of the difficulties with my home and some of the things I need to take care of that they couldn't so that the windows would last a long time. There's some leakage going around my roof. They pointed that out to me so I could take care of it. They weren't allowed to go beyond their area, but they pointed those out so I could do it or get someone else to do it. They took care of me to make sure things would last. I really appreciated that.
The windows are wonderful. The up and down window works well and lock easily. The sliders are easy to manipulate back and forth. The screens are easy to take in and out. The exterior trim was excellent. The caulking they did was excellent on the inside and the outside. As far as the cost, it was a little steep, but then you pay for good quality. If I get more windows replaced, they’ll be coming back. I'll tell others to look into Renewal by Andersen. It'll be a long-lasting product.

All in all, it was a good experience with RBA. The rep told us about the product, showed us what it would do and then answered all of our questions. If we had any problems, we could talk to him and he checked back with us, and made sure everything was done properly. The installers removed the old windows from the frame and removed the frame. They sized the windows up, made sure everything fit, proceeded to set the windows the way they needed to be set, and then put the foam installation around everything, sealed them off, and trimmed them all out. We had two sashes that had scratches on them and they immediately noticed them and told us about them, showed us where they were at, and then they came out and replaced them very shortly thereafter. I would recommend them. The quality of service seemed good. The workmanship was very good. I thought the cost was a little pricey. But hopefully, in the long run, they'll pay for itself.

They were conscientious about not making the space dirty or messy. They put a lot of tarp and plastic up while they were working. They were also very friendly. They were making conversation the whole time. The windows are great.

The rep showed me everything about Andersen Windows. It was a very impressive presentation. They have that mini window that they bring in and show you how the windows and the screens work and how you can clean the windows. It was very educational. Renewal by Andersen lived up to everything that I expected. He provided good details on what the windows would do and how much energy they would save. He answered all my questions, gave me more information than I could have ever asked for and gave me paperwork to back up what the windows would do. I was happy with everything that he gave.
He said it could take six months as they had to handmake the windows, but they got it done within two months and did a great job, too. I was very impressed that it happened that quick. Two gentlemen came in and replaced the windows. I watched them do it, and I couldn't have asked for better installation. I was a scared when they tore out the other windows, but I saw what they did when they put the new windows in. They took care of everything. They were sealed properly. I couldn't have asked for a better product. They are a little expensive, but they're well worth the investment.

I replaced nine windows. There was a single guy, Mike, and he did an excellent job. There are a couple of tweaks that need to be done though. They need to do a little trim. One of the windows I ordered has two inset lifts, but there's only one that's on it. On one of the windows, the screen has a hole in it. They're aware of that and they're gonna replace it. But those are minor things. I'm happy with the purchase I made.

I got a custom sliding glass window in my condo from Renewal by Andersen. The quality is great. It took a little bit though. I ordered it in March, and it came in June. When the installer came to install it, the frame ended up being cracked from transportation. They had to send it back and reframe it. It did not get installed until the end of August, so I was upset with the whole situation. It was frustrating with the frame cracking and having to wait another month. I had to put aluminum foil against my windows because it got so hot in my bedroom. But they resolved it. Natalie worked with me on giving me an adjustment for a price because I took a $500 day off from work for nothing the first time. The second time, they worked with me about adjusting it to my day off. Considering all the hiccups, I was still very happy.

But $3,000 a window is very expensive. The whole front of my house has solar screens and they took some of them and did not put them back up. So now, it looks funky because the two Andersens that they put in there don't have solar screens on them, and it doesn't match the other windows. I called the installation manager to ask him about it two days ago, and he said he'd call me back but he never did. That's been two days ago now. But other than that, I'm happy with everything.

To begin with, I wanted to know how much the windows and door cost but was informed by the salesperson that Renewal by Andersen doesn’t provide detailed invoice. They only provided me with a flat fee. I never knew that the cost of installation was a separate amount. I seriously feel I was overcharged. When I explained my requirements on the windows I wanted installed on my sunporch, I was disappointed in the windows that were installed. (Too large.) There were a few miscommunications with the actual date for the installation. The windows and door were installed but the installer will need to return to perform rework because one of the windows is white on one side and a different shade of white on the other side. Nail holes can be seen on the door frame and need to be filled and painted.
I was informed that my total cost for the windows (which I believed would include installation) jumped up drastically by an extra $6,500.00. I reached out to the general manager after the installation and found out I could have received a detailed invoice from the very beginning. I would not have followed through with this transaction if I had known the true cost for the windows and door. I offered feedback to the general manager that his sales reps should be required to have a checklist to go over every detail that should be discussed with any potential customers. The sales rep should have provided a computerized image of what my windows would look like.
Renewal by Andersen is attempting to make things right by providing handles to the sliding windows that I have difficulty opening. Also, Renewal by Andersen has reduced my bill by about $2000.00 for all of the hardships for doing business with them. I’m just stating the facts of my experience with this company. I’ll need more windows in the future but I’ve learned my lesson the hard way. Next time I’ll obtain quotes from a number of companies and not put my faith in a single company. I’m a single woman and about to retire soon, I feel like I was taken for a ride with this purchase.

I had a negative experience from trying to work with Renewal by Andersen. This happened due to the structure of the contract and the non-customer-oriented organization of its preparation. Here are the inconsistencies in the drafting of a contract for the replacement of a door that I worked on:
- Each page of the contract has a mandatory signature, but the page depicting the subject of the contract with a description of its main features (in my case, the subject was a door) does not have a signature, which makes the subject of the contract as if unrelated to the contract.
- The page with the image of the subject of the contract was located at the very end of the contract, which breaks its connection with the pages describing the subject of the contract.
- There is no blocking the completion of the contract in case of not signing any specific page of the contract (for example, the contract termination page), which undermines the legitimacy of the contract and negatively affects the knowledge of the customer.
- Crediting the contract by a bank should not be part of the contract, since its current inclusion makes the crediting a mandatory part of the contract (which it should not be) and creates additional problems when the customer contacts the bank in the case of a contract cancellation (as in my case).
- Electronic signing of the contract is convenient, but 15 pages of the contract take time to carefully review it. Therefore, signing should be carried out after the customer has received an e-mail with the text of the contract and carefully studied it - otherwise, the likelihood of an error in the contract and the need to terminate it increases.
A summary of my experience with “Renewal by Andersen” is that organizing contract work increases the likelihood of contract errors, taking longer than it should due to errors, and creating a negative image for the entire company.

They said they have a sister company with the name of ReBuildit, and they would do one window. They came out and gave me an estimate. But it was a lengthy time for them to even come out. It was due to them ordering the custom window which was disappointing to me because I thought they'd have it on stock. It's a typical size window. They took atest thing to see if heat came through, and it was, from the outside in. He showed me the different products available to me. I told him what kind I wanted and he took me through the catalog and showed me different colors of hardware and styles.
He explained that there would be a person out within a week and to take measurements again to make sure everything was perfect. And that when the guys would come out, they would do their job, do it good and as quickly as possible, and that happened too. I gave him a deposit and he followed up with me a couple of times between the ordering and the installation. When they ordered them, they let me know they had been ordered. I picked Renewal by Andersen because of what they say on their ads. Also, the weather is really hard on everything so I like the 20-year warranty. Their reps were very good. The guy that did the consulting on what we needed and the sizing was very down to earth. I didn't feel pressured doing it. He was very upfront with the cost. I liked Renewal's incentive package around the financing charges.
The installation went very well, too. I thought the team did a great job. They sent out a very experienced team. We did have a problem with the install. When we got done, the windows on the inside didn't look like they were very professionally finished. The team said, “Your house is always framed up one way, and we measure it and come as close as we can." There's still some gaps in the spaces, so they filled that in with caulk. They did a pretty nice job with the caulk, but it didn't look like a finished product on the inside. So, we were very unhappy with that.
I talked to the sales guy and also the technical guy, and I took pictures of it, and I talked to the team that installed it. They said, “Yeah, you need to talk, talk to these guys. We know there's things you can do.” The lead on the installation immediately said, “We can fix this pretty easy.” He had experience as a master carpenter and did a lot of trim work. He said, “It's not that hard to fix. I just can't fix it for you right now until we get approval to fix it. But I would definitely talk to the guys.” So, I talked to Renewal's team and a guy came out and he said, “Yeah, that doesn't look right." They stepped up and they fixed it, and it came out great.
We did our house in two phases, and the first phase was on the front of the house. The front of our house has very hot southern exposure. We have big trees out front that block this thing in the summer. But even in the summer, we could immediately tell the windows made a huge difference on the heat in the house. I really like that it blocks a lot of the damaging rays. In the winter, you'd be shocked at how much a southern exposure gets hot. We have these special shades when we first built the house because they didn't have this technology. We had these special thermal shades, but it blocked this beautiful view we had.
We could never open the windows because it was too hot in these southern exposure rooms. One of them was this huge, beautiful living room we have. We couldn't open the windows because it got too hot, and then it was cooking everything in there and the rays were destroying the furniture and the floors. We noticed immediately that that was not true anymore. So last year, we were able to keep the windows open most of the time, and it added so much to the ambience of the house.
The price is a lot. You pay for what you get, but we did do some other windows in our lower level, and we've been satisfied with them. Andersen was expensive, and it almost kept me from doing the deal, but I feel like I really got a quality product out of it, and I got this installation guarantee where they would come out and fix no matter what happens. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

In retrospect, I think they got off easy.

We replaced windows that we were having the most problems with. They're sliders and a couple that are fixed. I am surprised at the customer service from Renewal -- everybody that's reached out to make sure we're satisfied and happy. The crew who did the installation was really professional and did a great job. They knew what they were doing, didn't bother us, and let us know what they were doing. One of the sashes was damaged and I didn't even notice but they pointed it out whenever they were showing me. After the installation, they had told me they had already ordered it. I was glad that it's not like they were trying to sneak anything by. The quality of the windows is awesome, so far. We love them. They look really good and we think that they're gonna last a long time. We can already tell the difference in the house.

I had a window and a door replacement done by Renewal and the carpenter was very efficient and knew his stuff. Shelby, the construction manager, was also very conscientious. He came out here twice and surveyed what needed to be done. The crew had to remove two huge sliding door units and put in a huge window and a huge replacement sliding door. Then, they did fine with the cleanup. They did it from 10:30 to 2:30 in the afternoon. There's still some trim work that needs to be done. It's not the same crew that does that but I'm perfectly happy with the follow-up on the people coming out to do the trim work. It's a very well-organized group and they do exactly what they need to do. If I needed to install another window, I would use them again.

One of the big reasons why we really wanna go with Renewal is they're a very reputable company. They are top-notch. Another reason why my wife and I wanted to go with them is it's a streamlined process. Renewal make the windows and install them -- there's no middle man. The chances of something getting messed up are a lot slimmer. Also, one of my coworkers got windows done by them and he said that they did an awesome job and in my opinion, word of mouth is a little more meaningful. Dwight, the sales guy was very knowledgeable and helpful. He didn't try to upsell us on anything and he was more taking in concern of what we needed. He gave us a lot of good information. For instance, he told us that at our elevation, triple-pane windows aren't really necessary and it's just an extra cost. The way that he described it made total sense.
The people who installed the windows were very professional, courteous, and nice. They worked very well and we're very happy with the overall results. The only issue that I ran into was that they scheduled the install for the 21st. I called on the 5th and told him that we needed to reschedule it because my dog didn't have doggy daycare that day. I got a call from the installer on the 21st saying he was on the way. It turned into a little headache issue but they got it resolved within a couple of hours. Then, they scheduled it on the 28th for a morning install but it got pushed in the afternoon so I ended up taking a night off from work. Other than that, they did awesome and we're gonna be returning customers for our doors.

We had our sliding door done by Renewal by Andersen before. We had front windows done this time around. One window was a large slider that was a double hung, and two were non-opening picture windows. The windows look good. It turned out better than expected. The installers were quick and clean. One of them was very talkative and told us everything they were doing. The other one was quite good. The team took pride in their workmanship and were very skilled. When I expressed a concern about an issue, it was quickly taken care of. They even replaced some bad siding and painted it for me. Andersen wants you to be happy with your new windows and will do whatever it takes to make sure you are very pleased with your new windows. My windows look great and I expect to be saving money on my power bills. I have had numerous compliments on my windows. Replacing windows is a tremendous investment. I was in the building business for a while, so I knew Andersen windows were good. We wanted to replace our windows, so I started looking at windows for replacement, and I really felt like Andersen was, by far, one of the best products. The rep from Renewal, Sarah, and her husband came over initially. They had a great presentation, but I was already sold on it. So, it was just affirmation of what I had already researched online. They did a really good job of measuring the windows and showing us how much it would cost, and also showing us how they could do it partially, instead of having to do it all up front, and discussed all the different types of payment options. We were able to complete all the documentation that we needed to on that day. Then it worked. It was very nice and easy.
For right now, we got four bedroom windows installed. They are all big double-hung windows. They did the installation in one day. We scheduled and got all the stuff moved out from around there. My husband got neuropathy in his fingers, and he couldn't get the blinds down. They were able to do that for us. Then they went to work and stayed at it until they were finished. They cleaned up after themselves and left.
The windows are really beautiful. Also, we noticed a distinct temperature drop in our bedroom. Part of the reason why we replaced the windows was because it was so hot. We had lost a tree and so we lost our protection from the western sun. Now, we could tell a huge difference. It's five degrees. So, it was definitely worth it. We love our new windows. We're glad that we did it. We'll be replacing the rest of them.

We had some other vendors come out and give us estimates. They were going to replace our vinyl windows with vinyl windows, but Andersen said that they advertise that but their products were not vinyl, they were composite. We got them to come out to give us an estimate, and even with the 25% discount, we were a little shocked on the sticker price. The whole project cost over six figures and we got a lot of windows in our house. We decided to get one window and see how we like it. Then once we get the first window paid off and we liked what we got there, we may start changing other windows each year and slowly go through the house when we can afford it.
We chose a window in one spot over the sink and we really went with that window because of the design that they offered. It had a picture window and on the two windows off to the side of that picture window, they slid instead of opened up and down. We decided to go with that because that window that's over our kitchen sink is 106 inches. We have a pretty view outside our kitchen, across our property, so we got that to get rid of the divided-light. The installation took half a day and the only thing we had to wait on was the window to come in, which took two months and a half months from the time the rep placed the order to the time the installers came out and put the window in.
The installer was very professional and protected all parts of the house. I pointed out that there was a defect on the window that came from the manufacturer from when it was built. The window was a bronze color and I could see some silver. Two pieces of trim looked like they were cut short and that installer took pictures and put it into the system. Then I got an email that they've ordered those pieces. And when they get them in, they'll call me to get the installer to come replace them.
The other thing was, when the guy who come out and did the measuring, I wasn't home. But we called and I asked them how they were going to trim out the window once it's installed because I have cedar. They said the installer will bring cedar with them but I may have to stain it because they didn't have that, to which I agreed. But when the installer came out, he didn't bring any cedar. He said he wasn't told to bring any and it wasn't on the PO. But I told him no fail because I've got extra cedar in my barn, leftover from the construction of the house. So I went and got some cedar that was already stained. He took the boards I had, fixed it, and did the trim with the wood I had. I also told the installer that if we get some more windows done, I will have some cedar here and it will be stained. Just in case something like that happens again, so they wouldn't have to have a second trip out here.
So far, we love our new window because it's makes a big difference. We had divided-light on those two side windows, but now, we don't have any divided-light. It's wide open. The other part we love about it is the screens where you cannot tell if there are screen on the side windows or not. They don't use a normal window screen anymore and they use what they call a mesh. In one of my existing windows, the screen is darker and a little bit distorted. So, your view is distorted with the screen on there versus the top of the window that has no screen. On our new window, there are screens on the two side windows that slide, but they're not distorted.

It improved when a man called AJ got involved. They measured our door opening missed by three inches, the door was too big. They said if we accepted the door they would take $1,500. off our $24,000. cost if not we would have another six or seven months, so we accepted. Making the opening bigger was no small thing as are walls are cement. They cut them with a saw that used water. The water damaged our laminate floor that is no longer manufactured so to repair the whole floor would have to be replaced. I showed this to AJ and thought he would give us a additional discount, he didn’t. The damage is not very noticeable but you also don’t have to look very hard. If I had to do it over again I’m not sure if I would use Renewal By Andersen.

The first day, the installers arrived way too early, and that was a problem. And while they did do a good job, they didn't follow through. Aside from the windows, they were to have done other things. The windows needed to have been stained before they went into the house, and they did not help me with that. I didn't understand they needed to be stained first, and it's been hard finding someone that will go in there and stain them after they're installed. So, I'm not happy with that at all. After I got them in, I went on Andersen's website. That was where I learned all kinds of information online. It could have been done very easily. They made sure that the windows were fitting properly and even when they were working, they put down drop cloths and screens where dust wouldn't be flying all over the place. I told Chad that the commercials were true to themselves. The exact thing that they said on the commercials, that was the way it happened here at my home. They were very clean and precise. I bought six double-hung windows and I started setting it up during the late winter of last year and the rep warned me that they would take six to eight weeks to get here. He seemed confident about himself. He said that I would be getting a quote via text on my phone and that happened. There was just a final total on it though and there was no breakdown of what things cost. So for all I know, he could have jacked up the prices and I wouldn't have even noticed it. Or maybe he didn't use all of the six tubes of caulk for example, but charged me for them. I asked him and he said that when I fill out an Andersen application for my order, there’s no place to put that. I was thinking to myself if a piece of paper doesn’t work. So, that was a little shady.
I was watching the contractor who did the installation and they looked very nice. There’s a tape membrane so that the water drips out and not in but the guy only made one strip of that along the bottom. When I see things on TV, they go up the corners. So, he was chintzy on the six rolls of tape. Nothing better happen if it was the way they were supposed to do it. I just thought it would be a better clean-up job to reinsure any drafts or leakage. Maybe there won't be and maybe the amount he put on there will do the trick. But I won't know until that happens.
We reinstalled the molding that I had on the windows and he said if I had chosen their molding, I wouldn't be able to see where the drywall starts and meets the molding. I have half of my living room and I have a vaulted ceiling and I was thinking why I would have half of the molding one way. The contractor’s molding was a different color on the windows and I wanted to keep it all uniform. So, that was a poor answer considering they could have got some of that drywall tape and at least, puttied it in for me. Then once it dried, I could have fixed it up by painting it. Sometimes there were openings where you could stick your finger in there and they weren't filled in. I had to go through around all the windows and make sure that there weren’t any little openings there because otherwise, it would look cheap. I had to fix the holes myself and that was because I didn't buy his molding, which would have cost some more. It wouldn't have been free.

I can't remember when we had the windows installed, but we have had nothing but problems with them. They leak air terribly.. We have to keep rags in the sill to keep the cold air out in the winter and warm air out in the summer.
We have had the seals replaced twice and the little sponges replaced a couple times. They claim the little sponges are insulation, but there is no way they are stopping the air from blowing in. RBA claims that if we lower the humidity in our house it will provide better insulation and stop the cold air from blowing in the winter. It's the same excuse every time they come out so they can refuse to remedy the ice building up on our windows every year. We had windows installed by another company in our basement. They are not rated for our area, but they do provide better quality than the RBA windows that are claimed to be rated for our area. We Really need to be able to have our windows repaired or replaced. I ordered two large bay windows in the kitchen and the quality is much better than what I've seen by other glass windows companies. It's more durable, thicker and last longer. It’s very expensive but good. The installation crew was very professional but they're not finished yet because they found a problem in one of my window frames that had to be reconstructed. So, they put up two, and then they got one more frame to put up once the construction is done, so they could put the other window. I hope Renewal by Andersen sends the same crew back out that started the job.

We had all new windows installed in our home. The company made it a very easy experience. From our first meeting with Hunter. He was very professional and knowledgeable of the product. During the manufacturing period of our windows, Miranda kept us up-to-date on the progress. Once the windows had shipped they set up the installation date/time. John and his crew did the installation. They did an excellent job!! Very professional craftsman and friendly. They tented the area, so there was no mess to clean up. Job was completed on schedule and we are very pleased with our new windows. Great Job by a Professional Team!!

I got five windows from Renewal by Andersen. The sales representative told us all about them and convinced me quickly that they are good windows. I like them. I can stand in front of them with the sun shining in and not feel any heat. The installers took no time to put them in. I was very happy with them. They cleaned their mess up well and it's like they weren't here. If you wanna buy windows, the ones from Renewal by Andersen are the ones to get.

I had the back of my house done and the installers were great. I got two plate glass windows, which was what the rep showed me. I also got double kitchen windows (made into one), a slider, and a bathroom window. I got the best ones that Renewal by Andersen makes and those windows on sale were around 10,000. I still need two more bedroom windows and there were two that would be made into one window like I did the kitchen. I have two bedrooms like that, another bedroom window that would be single, a dining room window that would be a double window which I want one out of it, and a single window that I want one. I'm sure that's a lot higher than I can afford.
I chose Renewal by Andersen because my daughter used them in Graham and she liked them. However, she said that what I got is what she got, and she couldn't believe they cost so much higher. I'm gonna have to go with someone else to do the rest of the house because they are too expensive. Also, a screen was torn and I didn't get the drip things. They supposedly have ordered it and when I get it, they'll put it in. Besides that, I'm very happy with Renewal by Andersen.

We got 10 of the double sliding windows. The quality of the windows was one of my key factors in my decision on them. When the salesman with Renewal by Andersen came out, he had the cutaway versions to show people and demonstrate. I come from a construction background, so I know a little bit about how windows are. I could tell immediately that the product spoke for itself. The salesman told us that it would be looking at the middle of June for an install time. They hit it right on the head. They called and set the appointment for me. They got it all done in one day.

I had Simonton windows installed several years back, and the seals on the two windows broke within the first couple of years. They were good windows, but being an insurance adjuster, I was gone a lot and I didn't have time to mess with it. Years went by, and I decided, "I'm not even gonna go with them this time." I decided to have Renewal by Andersen come out, and they were very nice and presented everything really well. I like the look of the window and the company. The head person from Carrollton texted me twice and had a bit of a personal touch to it, the texts, as well.
The installers kept everything clean and picked up and seemed to know what they were doing. I'm hoping to have some more windows replaced as well. The seals aren't broken, but I want to do it anyway within a couple of years and I'll definitely go with Renewal by Andersen again. I've already reached out to the salesman because I've got a sunroom on the back of my home that has five huge windows in it and I wanted to get an idea of what it would cost to replace those. Those will be the last ones I'll replace because they're so big, and when people get the big windows, they go all the way to the floor. I also thought, "Well, the picture windows are always the less money," but they're really not much less because you have to get the whole thing tempered glass because they're closer to the floor.

I'm having a slight bit of a problem because I had a window AC unit and the windows are not made for a window AC. The only thing the salesman from Renewal by Andersen asked was did we need the AC unit put back in and I told him yes. He said he'd come out and do it himself because the installers won't do it once they took it out. When the installers got here, they called him and he said, "No, I didn't say that." Because all we have is a window AC and it was hot that day, the installer went ahead and put it back in. The installers were super. They walked us through the entire process the entire time and made sure we were aware. The young man that led them, Ivan, would not leave here knowing that the temperature here in Texas was hot outside, which meant it was even hotter inside. He wouldn't leave us sitting here in the heat without putting this AC unit in. He didn't have to do it, but he didn't wanna risk our health.
A lot of people say you can't hear the sound of noise outdoors. I still can hear the noise, cars passing by, neighbors' doors slamming shut, but it's no big deal. That's not why I got the windows. I got them because we needed our windows replaced. So far, I like the windows. But now, I got somebody over here trying to level the window AC unit correctly so that it can drain outside as opposed to draining inside my house. The trade-off is good because at least we can cool off, but it's draining inside. It's hard trying to make the window AC unit fit with these type of windows.

The reps brought a sample for the window and the window frame so we could get an idea of the style, how they're made and what the material is. We bought seven windows and a sliding glass door. Renewal by Andersen's contractor came out, took out all of our windows same day then installed all of our new windows and sliding glass door same day. They had a city inspector come out to make sure that everything is up to par. Right now, we can notice a difference with the summer. It seems not so much heat and sunlight are getting in, which is helping with our house temperatures from getting hot.

We had the original Andersen windows in our home, and Grandpa and Grandma had built the house in '76. We moved out to the farm in 1999, and the windows were less than perfect. They were wearing out. So, we decided we were going to replace them, and I didn't even check anyplace else, I just went to Renewal by Andersen. The original windows came out of Hutchinson, Minnesota location. This time, it was from Marshall, Minnesota. There were nine windows that we had replaced. We're having the siding replaced by the same company.
The installation was exciting. They had all the products installed except for the bay window facing the East. We had a flat five-panel window. So, I wanted a bay window, and I got it. They came back the next day and finished that. It is so beautiful. I even hugged the installer. We have a different type of lock now than 50 years ago. So, they walked me through that. As far as the ease of use, it's cool. I don't have to worry about the handles falling off anymore. I can't say enough good things. They're fabulous.

I have nothing but high praise for Renewal by Andersen. The salesman, when I did reach out in March, was able to meet me the next day. It was at the end of March, and he wanted to be able to take advantage of the special that was going on. He did come over here for about an hour and walked me through the process. Then, he sent somebody back several weeks after that to measure. When they had suggested an installation date, ironically, I just retired from a 40-year teaching career and it was summer vacation. So, I called them and said, "Absolutely not. Can you do it another time?" I just didn't wanna wake up on my 40th-year vacation at 8 o'clock in the morning. They scheduled it for five days later.
The people who came here were very professional, very respectful, and very neat. They worked really hard. They were here for about eight hours, and they did an incredible job. I was very pleased. The windows came out great. They look wonderful. I had two 8-foot French patio doors in the back of my house and we ended up replacing them with two 8-foot sliding glass doors. I had wooden Andersen doors, and they had brought them after 25 years on the outside. So, I wasn't thrilled about kind of downgrading to the patio doors.
The salesman was very professional and nice. He called me a few days prior to the installation and after the installation, he called me again to make sure that I was satisfied. The scheduling office called me, too. So, I felt like everybody checked in to make sure that I was a happy customer. The job was expensive, and it was more than I had put aside for it but I love the way these doors look. I'm very pleased with the results. I live in a condo complex, and there are just 12 units here, but chances are, some of the other neighbors are gonna need to replace their windows, so I definitely would recommend Renewal by Andersen.

Once we made the decision to use Renewal by Andersen, our sales rep, David, stayed in touch with us. When they had their guy come out and measure, there was a question about what was included in our quote. It was about the trim around the window. He said he didn't think it was included but I told him it was. Our sales rep got in the middle of that and it was straightened out to our satisfaction. He periodically kept us updated as to what the schedule looked like. It was not a short lead time. We did it in February. We didn't get them installed until a few weeks ago. I got a call from them and they said, "Your windows are in. We can be there tomorrow." We set up a date and it was a week and a half later.
We got two large windows here in the house that needed to be replaced and they knocked it out. I love the new windows. My wife and I are highly satisfied. The only issue that we had was the scheduler didn't send enough folks out to help these guys do the job. They're mounted very highly in the living areas of the house. But Steve, the lead installer, made the right calls and they went to work on it. They stayed here until they got it done, which was late into the evening, past what most folks would consider normal working hours. They said, "This is gonna take us longer to get done than we anticipated. Do you mind if we stay and work late?" We told them no. I was watching them too. They didn't get in a big hurry. I complimented them on how they got it done. The overall quality of the install was great. I wish they'd used some putty in some of these nail holes. But that's a minor thing. Overall, our experience was great with them and we have plans to use them again.

The gentleman that came to our home was a great. He's been very responsive any time I've had a question about anything. We did five windows, initially. Then I said, "I need you to come back. We need to decide what our next group is gonna be." He came and asked, "When you put these five windows in, are you gonna do another step?" I said yes. He said, "Why don't we see if we can get you financed for interest-free?" Now we have all new windows. When mom and dad bought the home, the windows were junk. The heating bill in the winter would be $800 a month. They took sheets of styrofoam and covered every window. Having the new windows, it's nice to not have that foam over them and be able to look out and open a window.
The installation of the first five windows was not so good. They broke one of the frames but never said a word. When the wind came roaring through, I heard this howling. I recorded it and sent it to my salesman. He said, "In 30 years, that window should not sound like that. Something's wrong." The next day, there was a guy there. He looked at it. He took the sashes out and discovered that the frame was broken. He said, "I'm going to pick your crew that will come to take care of this." A second crew came, and the lead man spoke perfect English. I couldn't ask for a better deal. They were all about it. I was totally impressed.

We have five double-hung windows with the two windows, and one slider. The salesman came out in February, but we didn't get the windows until May. Installation was quick, efficient, and very professional. The installers got here 9 o'clock and were done by 1:00. We are very satisfied with the windows, but it's how it came about the money situation.
The salesman used these iPads, and we're of the older generation, and scrolling through there and showing us, but I needed some paperwork to see so I could hold it and read it, other than it's on this little screen. We were approved for 22,000, and the guy said 11,000, which was half the amount. My husband stuck on that 11,000. So, he signed the paperwork. He told the guy if it would be 20,000 or more, we did not want it. But he kept talking and distracted my husband from what he tried to say. Also, he didn't word it correctly about the half upfront and half when it's finished that that would be what the price. And we would get paperwork three weeks before they came out to install saying that half amount was paid. We got an email saying that it was paid. And two weeks later saying that they paid it again.
Once we talked to Renewal, they said that the amount that we were approved for was the amount for the project. That was not explained by the salesman. And when we got the paperwork in, the first paperwork that came through says we owe them 11,000. We dealt with the payments. We got the email of the first payment and of the second payment. It was, "Why are y'all paying them twice the same amount?" and my husband went off. I didn't even wanna be in the room. And I caught the brunt of it.

He was able to answer all our questions. However, I had a hard time closing the door. You could close it, but I couldn't lock it.
I didn't know what was wrong. I just didn't want to force it. I called them and they had somebody come out and look at it. The guy said, “They never put locks on there. Let me get those ordered.” He also noticed that there was a loose piece of wood over on the side, which we hadn't noticed. He said, “We'll get that fixed.” I was asking this guy questions about whether we needed it stained on the inside. He said, “You wanna put it on yourself?” I said, “No, you can put them on. If we need to take them off, we’ll take them off whenever it comes time to stain them.” He put them on, then he left. But I went up there. I found out that he'd asked Mike, our painter, to do it. It made me mad that he went behind my back to get this fixed when he should’ve fixed it.
I called him and they sent the first guy and he finished up everything. But that was why I could not get it to lock up straight, was because the doors weren't locking up into place. I have corresponded via email on staining. The guy called me back and told me, "This is how you take them off to stain them." Everything's been good since then. We like it really well. Originally, I just needed new windows but he showed me how they actually are super insulated, and so they're cutting down on my utility bills. Also, it's unbelievably quiet. I wasn't expecting that. He told me that, and I went, "Oh, okay." So, it was a very good sales pitch with no pressure, very courteous, and no fast-talking. So, I was very pleased with that part of it.
Then they stayed in touch. So every eight weeks or six weeks or so, they would contact me again and let me know. All windows are unique and they tell me how many more people were still ahead of me and when was the probable target for when they had my windows ready to install. So, they did a nice job of kind of not just getting my signature on the contract and then going away for three months.
As far as the installation, two guys came. Then about two hours later, two other guys came. So, for most of the time, it was four people. They came just before it got up to like heat index of 107. It was a warm day. They were very nice. They stayed on task. They didn't play music, and they didn't chat and joke and laugh. They were just on the task.

I decided to replace some of my home's windows with the Andersen product based on my family and friends' favorable experience that live in Minnesota. I live in Fort Worth, Texas and followed up from a flyer that came to my home in fall of 2021. The salesman who came suggested types of windows to use for the windows I wanted to start with, and suggested replacing two of my double doors and one of my sliding doors. I requested a PAPER contract with details, and because two of the areas were requiring some reframing construction, he told me he would have to recalculate and give that info to me later, but if I wanted to get started, I would need to pay 1/3rd down to start the order process. I paid him and he still did not have the contract ready but told me he would get that to me later (NEVER got it to this day!)
The windows came in in about a month. I told the salesman that workers were not to back into my driveways it is downhill and curvy. I woke up to find a huge trailer backed up into my yard, later to discover they broke three of my sprinkler heads, bent two of my steel fence post and busted some wood planks in the fence. When I brought this to their attention, they denied it and said it was there before!!! They slapped the windows in fast and left me with windows that were crooked, not sealed out and framing in the interior finished out. I ordered the Natural finish, and my wood is raw and unfinished. Almost two years later, they are not willing to finish that interior finish and not willing to square up the windows.
I had to wait over 6 months past the promised date for the doors, and when they came to install, again, a sloppy job, doors are not aligned properly, they are not sealed and the interior trim was not redone to accommodate the new doors so gaps and margins exist and not repaint framing and doors are unfinished wood. They had scheduled to come back in two weeks to put in the final windows, but I told the foreman, they will need to fix the mess remaining from previous installations before we go forward with any more. Well, I took two days off work to be there but they never showed up nor did they call to reschedule or even apologize! Six months later they called to come out to finish and get final payment.
I told the person calling since they no showed and made me lose income, not to mention my previous installs are not complete and need to be addressed before they think about going forward, they told me I HAVE to pay them the final payment anyway, and have sent invoices for such! I tried to call headquarters to get some intervention, but that goes nowhere, person answering is more interested in selling and linking you to a salesman than dealing with their mess ups. I have spent almost $60,000. And only two of my nine windows are finished, my doors look totally unfinished and one side does not even open, and they are not interested in repairing but threaten me to pay up. When I requested the customer service rep on the phone to give me the department of person in charge of oversight for Renewal division, she told me she could not!!
This company has turned in to a high pressure, irresponsible entity has NO respect for its customers. I work for a huge Fortune 500 company and if we ever behaved this poorly, we would be out of business in a short time. Judging from their workmanship on my project and their lack of taking responsibility for and caring that I be restored with the quality product and service I was promised, I recommend NEVER consider Renewal or even Andersen window products!! No one should ever be treated as badly as I have after entrusting them with my business and spending almost $60,000!
I am going to have to pay another contractor to reset almost all the windows and doors, as well as finish the interior trim and window/door finishes. After all the destruction they did to my property, I do not them anywhere near my property as it cost me several thousands to repair my fence and irrigation system. I would describe them from my experience to be deceptive and totally irresponsible and I will be filing complaints with my state Attorney General, and BBB.

The sales rep was very nice. He came over and it was the whole speech. We were happy to go ahead. The installation went great. The guy worked to death. It was hot and humid. But he worked all day by himself. He put the door in and did a really nice job. Everything was very clean. He cleaned up really well when he left. He put up a tent inside the house so nothing got into the house. He was very thorough and very, very good. The door is very nice and solid. I love it.

The guy from Renewal by Andersen did a great job. He was a very good salesperson. He couldn't have been better. The installers also did a great job. They came when they said they were gonna come, and there was no delay. They worked hard and got the job done. So far, I'm very pleased with the windows. They look good and seem like they're of good quality.

The sales rep came out and showed us the products. He also told us about some issues with our existing windows that we were looking at replacing. He gave us a quote on the spot while he was here, and with a decent discount. We got a sliding door and three windows, and getting them installed was quicker than Renewal by Andersen estimated. It was just about two months, and the two guys that came out to do the installation were very good. They were quick, courteous, professional and seemed to do a good job. Of the three windows we had installed, there's only one that we use. The other two are up in the attic, and I haven't gone back up since they replaced them. Besides that, the quality of the slider seems good, and we're very happy with it.

We have a friend who is a contractor and does primarily new builds. He said that when they had window issues, they always used Renewal by Andersen. We reached out and got an immediate response. And then their rep Kevin came out and did his presentation. We really liked him, all of the information that he shared, and all the good things he had to say about the company. We had two windows that were basically falling in so it was not safe. We ordered double-hung windows that day. That is what we had and we liked the function. We got two this time because we just completed a pretty major project. One is in a kitchen and one is in a bedroom.
Kevin initially said the timeline would be four to six months. It was pretty long. Good thing we started when we did. But someone was able to get it pushed through. Part of it was because it was a safety issue. The total timeline was months sooner than we anticipated. The chief installer was Brandon and he called ahead to let us know he was coming. When he arrived, he verified the windows that we would be putting in and then walked us through what the process would look like for the day. It was just top to bottom, "Here's what we're gonna do first, and then we're gonna do this. And when we're finished, I'm gonna show you how they work."
The installers came in and removed all of the old windows and debris. We have stucco, so it was a little precarious getting the windows out. But they did a really nice job and didn't take big chunks of stucco out. It looks very nice and they left the workspace clean. They put down one of the windows upstairs in the bedroom and they put down a protection on the floor for when they were walking in and out.
We've been very pleased with the windows. They open and they close and they're quiet. We live in the mountains and our kitchen window looks out towards a back bluff. We went with a smaller screen and the little squares in the screen are very tiny. Kevin recommended that. When you look out, it's a really clear picture. It's like you're looking out in the backyard. All in all, we had a very positive experience and would highly recommend Renewal's services. We plan to use them when we're ready to do the next phase. Kevin gave us some estimates for that as well, which was very helpful.

We called Renewal by Andersen and we set up an appointment for an in-house discussion. They came out and it was a Q & A, finding out what our needs were and what they had to offer. We discussed that, and then we moved forward with that and then set up a time for them to come out and install what we had picked out and requested.
We had 17 windows installed. They kept in contact with us and let us know that the windows were in the warehouse. They told us that they would come out and install whenever it was good for us. We picked out a date and they came out, and it was a two-day installation. One of the windows cracked but it wa not to their doing. When it came out of the box, they noticed that it was, so the gentleman got that reordered. They were able to install the original one because it was a crack in a very low visual area. But they said it's gonna take a little while because it was a big picture window. They just notified us today and said that the new window and screen is in warehouse, and they've set up an appointment for us to come on the 29th to install it.
The installers were very nice and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves extremely well. They were very conscious of our property. They were very good. We were impressed. At the end of the day, they showed me how I can clean them, how they fold in and fold out, and the easy way for me to clean them. So I'm really excited about my new windows. They're very expensive. However, they're very good windows. We love our windows.

Renewal by Andersen called us, and then we made an appointment, and the salesman came. We had a delightful chat and I ordered the windows. The installation was incredible. These two very young guys showed up and initially thought, "Oh, my goodness. How could they possibly have enough experience to do a good job?" They started talking to each other and I said, "Well, what language are you speaking?" They said it was Ukrainian. They worked very, very hard.
On the second day, they had worked so hard I made them blueberry muffins and gave them bottles of water. But they didn't touch them. After a couple of hours I said, "You don't like blueberry muffins." One guy said, "We work hard first." Their work ethic was amazing. They worked so hard, they put American contractors to shame. I've been telling everybody what a great experience it was. They were lovely. They were polite and respectful. They cleaned up after themselves. They were so proud of their work. I was thrilled.
When there was the smoke we had a couple of weeks ago from the Canadian wildfires, we got it very badly. We got a lot of smoke. It was horrible. You could taste it in the air. But right after my windows were put in, I never smelled anything indoors. The windows were so good and sealed up everything so nicely. I haven't used my air conditioning at all yet this season.
They left a label on one of the windows. It was not a big deal. But it was on a window in the bedroom that was about 10 feet high. I couldn't get up there to take the label off. So they sent a guy out to take the label off. But as I opened one of the windows next to it, I noticed the tiniest of scratches. It looks like a hair on the window pane. He said, "No problem, we'll replace it. Absolutely no problem." But it's hard to take a picture of it. He had to come back another time to take more and better pictures because they couldn't see it. But there was absolutely no question, and I didn't even have to ask, but they said, "We will replace it."

We purchased a new sliding back door. It's more like panoramic where there are two floor to ceiling glass panels and then the doors slide open. So we get that indoor and outdoor experience that we were looking for. When the rep came out, he walked us through the process and kept my husband up to par via email. Then I received a phone call saying that they received our design plan. They walked us through and said, "We'll call you again once it's been in the manufacturing plant." So they kept us abreast of all of that. The only hiccup that we've had so far was that there was one part that was damaged when the door was delivered. So we're waiting for that part to be replaced, and they're working on that. But I haven't had feedback yet on the date.
The sales guy that we had was phenomenal. He's always available answering questions. We can either text him or write him an email. He always responds within a day, which is great. Everything was great with the installation. The quality is beautiful. It's amazing. We love it. It's one of a kind. It's exactly what we're looking for based on the age of our home and what we could afford budget-wise without making it a bigger expense for us to remodel.

There was one who was a little lazy on the third installation but the rest of the team was carrying him, so I didn't care. There was one problem when the door didn't fit well. They came out twice and it took about five months. But it wasn't a big problem because the door was fine. The screen didn't work out and they just replaced the whole screen. That was the kind of guarantee that I found very professional. I liked that business model. "If you're not happy with your window, we will fix it." Period. End of subject. No and, if, or buts. I said yes and then, they called and asked if they could come earlier and I told them that was great. So the installers came about a month and a half earlier than they were supposed to. I got one window and one sliding glass door from Renewal by Andersen and two guys did the installation. They were very polite, professional and answered my questions. They put up with my dog and were very nice, and cleaned up after.
I like the quality a lot. The windows are fine but a little fastener thing broke while the installer was demonstrating the product. So, they're getting me new screens and that should happen soon. The installers did a nice job and they also told me not to open the sliding glass door or the window for 48 hours because of the sealant. They wanted it completely solidified. So I knew what to do and that was good. I like the window. It’s brand-new, and it's all shiny, nice and happy. The window before was a very old one and everything was plastic. This one's metal. It’s more solid. The experience has been positive. The cost is ridiculously high though. I did not expect it to be so much. They were very clear when the salesperson came but I was shocked. We have a screen door on our front door, and normally, with a screen door, you've got to store the screens during the winter and replace it with glass, and then swap them out. With this one, the screen and the glass are embedded in the door so that you can tap the screen or the glass, and you don't lose them or break them. You just can do it. I like the sliding door. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the service provided by Andersen windows and doors regarding the installation of windows and doors at my property, as outlined in our contract signed on January 16th 2021. The purpose of this letter is to inform and lodge a complaint and seek resolution for the numerous issues and damages occurred during this project.
The installation process began on March 29th, 2021, but unfortunately, the results have been highly unsatisfactory. I have faced numerous challenges that have left, me profoundly disappointed and inconvenienced. Moreover, this project has had a detrimental impact on my family’s well-being, causing us to feel depressed and no way to resolve on our own. The painting of the house was supposed to take place after the completion of the window and door installation; however, it has been delayed pending the final inspection. Additionally, I cannot utilize the tax credit for the expenses incurred on Andersen until the inspection is successfully passed. Below, I have provided a detailed account of the significant problems I have encountered:
1. Window installation:* The marble window seals are installed crookedly and unevenly, greatly diminishing their athletics appeal.
* Three windows were installed incorrectly, resulting in an inability to close and lock them efficiently. Two windows were corrected, but one remains.
2. Door Installation:* The two entry doors were installed in a crooked manner, causing them to hit the door and door casings when opening and closing.
* The hinges and screws on the door began to come out of the frame, rendering it unnecessary for me to manually lift the door to open and close it properly. This problem persisted for over 8 months.
3. French Door Replacement:* Andersen replaced the French doors three times before settling on the one that functions inadequately.
* However, the final door left in place was visibly scratched along the sides, indicating damage occurring during the replacement process.
4. Property Damage:* During the course of the installation, Andersen’s personnel damaged the gutter along the roof, resulting in dents and other structural issues.
* The masonry blocks surrounding the door was cracked, negatively impacting the appearance and integrity of the structure.
* Additionally, Andersen failed to clean the concrete from the pool deck before it dried, leading to unsightly stains and further property damage.
5. Inspection and Arbitration:* Despite my request for additional inspections to address the ongoing issues, only one inspection was conducted, which resulted in failure.
* I have repeatedly requested arbitration meetings three times with Andersen, but have not received any confirmation or response regarding a suitable date and time.
6. Billing Discrepancies:* Furthermore, I have noticed additional charges on my bill that exceed the agreed-upon contract amount, causing undue financial strain and further dissatisfaction.
Ricardo, thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about the experience and issues you've had with us. Please know we have shared your feedback with our teams to look into further.

I have a story to tell about Renewal By Andersen. The least important parts are the details of what happened so I’ll be as brief as possible yet, you’ll get the point. We purchased a porch door in May of ’22. Cost $8000. Signed a contract as a “lay person,” and did not read through the many pages and details, since we trusted the sales person to be honest and accurate (actually a nice guy). First door comes defective (opened the wrong way), the second door months later was defective too (outside paint bled into the indoor wood). We hadn’t seen either door.
One year later May ’23 the doors were delivered. My first glance at the door shocked me, the glass was significantly smaller. We measured immediately and it was close to 1 FOOT smaller, which would have completely ruined the expansive view and the whole downstairs of the house. After talking with two managers (not very nice, used bullying techniques), I was told I signed “in 12 font” the glass will be smaller. Of course I asked, “Why didn’t the sales person verbalize that the glass would be smaller?” I obviously would have asked, how much smaller? And if he looked it up and found out, and told us it could be up to a foot…. I would have said “No Thanks.” Bottom line we’re being told to pay $3922.50 or it will go to collections.
A few friends were furious at this practice and wholeheartedly believe Renewal breached their contract since it never says how much smaller. Another friend, who’s a lawyer, suggested this letter: I’m cutting most of it so you get the gist.
"Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the recent transaction I had with your company. It pertains to the purchase of a special order door as per our contractual agreement. I firmly believe that your company has breached the terms of our contract by delivering a door that is qualitatively different from the one I ordered in terms of the size that was never explained. Therefore, I must inform you that I will not be making any payment for the door I returned. While I understand that the contract mentioned, "The windows will be smaller," it failed to provide any specific indication of the permissible extent of this reduction in size. This lack of clarity has given rise to a significant disagreement between us and has left me feeling deceived.
Upon the delivery of the door, I was shocked to discover that the glass in the door was dramatically smaller than what I had anticipated. It is crucial to emphasize that this discrepancy goes far beyond what any reasonable person would consider an acceptable deviation. The door you provided is simply unsuitable for installation due to the substantial difference in size compared to the one I believe I ordered....As a result, I am well within my rights to refuse payment for the door and seek appropriate remedies for the damages caused.
I kindly request that you reconsider your position and acknowledge the breach of contract that has taken place. Should we fail to reach a satisfactory resolution within a reasonable timeframe, I regret to inform you that I will have no choice but to pursue legal remedies available to me under New York law. I hope it does not come to that, as I believe in resolving disputes amicably and without unnecessary legal proceedings.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. I eagerly await your prompt response.
Yours sincerely"
I AM NOT SENDING THIS AND I PAID THE $3922.50. And here’s the reason why. One of my closest friends died one month ago. She was a significant force within the United Nations founding a Non-Governmental Organization. She was a kind, powerful, successful, loving, generous woman. We talked a lot before her death up until her last few days. We believed in the metaphysical, and I wondered if she could send me a sign when she passed to trust she was in good hands - smiling. I won’t go into all the details since some might not see it as realistic or evidence of reading “the sign.” That really doesn’t matter to me.
Yet, what I received (and I’ll keep that to myself) was that true bliss, and vital to being alive, is to be free from materialism and greed. There are important battles, and being bullied is one of them. However, this was not worth that. Fighting a corporation is exhausting and would extend the tension, anger and frustration for their own greed. Letting go was my freedom. Money is important, we’re far from rich, but letting go is priceless. They will live with their decision and it’s on Renewal By Andersen.
Susan, thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about the experience and issues you've had with us. Please know we have shared your feedback with our teams to look into further.

I've always liked Andersen windows so I had Renewal by Andersen come out and give me an estimate. The rep brought some windows out and showed me the difference. I hated the windows that I had at the time. They were not very efficient. He showed me the difference between them. I did my kitchen last year and had five windows placed. Recently, I had five replaced in my bedroom. The installation team came right exactly the time that they said they were gonna be there. They laid things down on my carpet so they didn't get it dirty. They were very fast which I was thankful for because I kept saying with the fly season, I didn't want to not have windows in.
I'm happy with the windows and with the guys that put them in. The windows work well up and down. It's quieter. They're hard to clean because a couple of my windows are so large. You have to lay them down so you can bring the top one down and wash the bottom. The screen is a full screen, where my other ones were a half screen. You have to wash them from the inside unless you take the screens off to wash them outside.

We did picture windows, 15 double-hung, a giant slider and a bay window in the back. We have noticed it’s been cool here and less noisy since we got them. The only thing I don't like is because we took out the original windows, I have lost some natural light. You lose about an inch to three inches of glass with the replacements. But if you do a full install, which means they take out the entire casing and replace the whole new set up, that gives you the original size of what you had before. I probably would have spent the money to keep that aesthetic of more natural light coming in. My husband said he went over that but I don't remember it because it came as a shock once they were in. They had a sticker on the windows and they let the windows set for 24 hours. Then, when they came back, they cleaned all that off, and I was still not seeing a big difference with the natural light. So it was a bummer, but it is what it is.
The installation crew was phenomenal and incredibly kind. They were clean. They laid down all the things on the carpets. It's an old home and I noticed a part of a couple of the windows was bowing a little bit at the top. I brought it to their attention and they did whatever they had to do to make it right, and there was no problem. I picked Renewal by Andersen because I didn't wanna go with a middleman. I wanted to go with somebody that made and warrantied the windows. If there was any issue, I was gonna deal with one company. There are other companies that they'll have a middleman, but I didn't want that. So I paid a little bit more and I went with somebody that does it all. So, they were definitely worth it.

There was a problem with the frame. The house tilted a bit on downward slope. The installer had to put things in there and make it even so that the sliding door opened properly and slide easily. And even the guy that did the screen door, a different technician, went above and beyond. We needed a piece of wood applied underneath the door to make it more stable when we stepped on it. He had no idea that I needed that. He came out, said, "That's not a problem. I'm gonna get that for you today." He went to the store. He came back an hour later. He took care of it for us. We went with Renewal by Andersen because we wanted a good window. We said, "If we're gonna put the money out, we're gonna get a good quality window that's gonna last 30 years." We knew that Andersens are good windows. We had them in a prior house. The windows that were in our current house were the old vinyl, and they were loose. We did four of the ones that were drafty or leaking the most. We plan on doing the other ones down the road, but, for now, these were the ones that needed replacing. We had to wait for them to be manufactured. They had to make them. We ordered these in February, and we had them installed just last week. The guy was telling me that the plant where they make them out in Minnesota had a fire. So, that was why it took so long.
As far as the installation, it was relatively quick. The guys were here for about four hours. I feel very confident and very positive that the quality of these windows is good. They showed us how to operate it. Andersen windows are not cheap but once you put that investment in there, you really don't have to worry about it. Also, they said if there are any problems, we can just give them a call. As a matter of fact, the sliding glass doors that we have on the patio, the previous owners put Andersens in. They were put in in 2015. I called Andersen Corporate, and it was still under warranty. They sent me a set of rollers to put in. So, they stand behind their product.

The rep was really cool. But there was an oversight on his part because what I ended up going with was a double glider instead of a triple glider. I put in a big picture window with the sliders at the bottom. He only showed me the triple slider which was more expensive. I wasn't aware of the double glider until I had the second visit when they do the re-measure. The guy who took the second set of measurements showed me the other product which was $800 less. I wanted that instead because I wanted less obstruction in that area from the framing. The first rep should've remembered to show that product.
Other than that, the installer did great. He was a super nice guy and there wasn't as much noise as I figured. The window looks perfectly spot on. It's everything that I hoped for and I love the integrity of the product. The tech told me that they spray foam the interior of the frame for insulation and I'm happy to hear that. Their product is expensive and it's $6,600 for one window. But I was willing to pay the price. I'm already recommending them to my mom.

I purchased five new vinyl windows. I liked the people I talked to. They seemed very reliable. The sales rep was great, very knowledgeable and helpful. The people came and measured everything. They were great, quick and did their job. The installers were also professional and did a really great job. They did exactly what they said they would do. The windows are great. I like them. They were expensive but worth it. I would use Renewal by Andersen again.

We purchased two windows from Renewal by Andersen. The consultant was knowledgeable and he answered all our questions and explained the benefits of going with their windows. We were able to ask the rep a lot of questions about comparing it to other products and he knew what he was talking about. He was very patient and willing to work with us on stuff. We were extremely happy on that end. The installation went very well too. The guys who installed it had no trouble. They were kind and courteous, and then the final product turned out pretty well. I'm certainly happy with the product. It's definitely on the higher end of the price price-wise. But from what I've heard, it's an investment in the house and it adds to the value of the house. That was the biggest factor in why we decided to go with it in the end.
