I was so happy with the installation of the sliding glass door, both product, service and installation but the small bathroom window was to be frosted and it came clear. The rep called us and told us he went over it with us and it was ordered as discussed. Well the pink copy of what we ordered doesn't even mention type of glass but I was very vocal that it was to be frosted glass. The rep called us and he was saying he wasn't giving us the frosted glass because he is very careful to get the order right. So basically he is right and we are wrong and there is nothing we can do about it.
He also said we can go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get the sticker for the window and they have more designs. Well, I don't want a sticker on my glass. Never in a million years would I ask for clear glass in a bathroom. I am really so disappointed because these windows are expensive and being slapped down by the sales rep was the worse feeling. When we replace other windows in the house, I will not use this company because they truly don't care about the customer.

I called Renewal by Andersen and explained what I was after and they sent a seller out right away. He was very nice. He explained everything, showed me through the brochures, and even had a tablet thing that he could show me how the doors look and the colors. There were three people who came out to do the installation and I was very pleased to see three of them. They were all nice, and they worked very diligently and kept right at it until they were finished. But the storm door is so close to the cement foot that it kinda sticks a little bit. But outside of that, there's no problem.

I chose to go with Renewal based on reputation and they also have a discount. I contacted them online and they replaced my front door. Within 24 hours, somebody followed up with me to schedule an appointment. Their sales representative came out that week, and was really professional. He walked through all sorts of different options on his tablet.
He also was able to give some recommendations around what would look good with the style of the house. Within an hour, we quickly came to a decision on what front door and he took some preliminary measurements. Then he set the right expectations upfront, that we would be a few months out before they’d be able to actually do the installation, just because of how busy they were, which was fine. He also said someone would be contacting me to set up an appointment when the door would be ready, and to set up an appointment for installation.
We talked through the payment as well and we talked about how much needed down. We took care of that. I didn’t expect them to contact me until January of this year, but they contacted me a little bit earlier. I was able to set the appointment up with the scheduler just after Christmas and then, the individual that did the installation and his partner came out and did the installation. They were very professional and the door looks great. I would have liked to get the door faster, but I understand they have to like manufacture it.
There was one little weird thing with the handle. To open the door, we had to tilt the handle up versus down. He needed to order a part to get that fixed so that he could install the correct handle. He thought it was gonna be the week out before he would receive the part. But it exceeded my expectations in the fact that he was able to get the handle the following day, and he came back within 48 hours. He corrected the handle and away we go. We're all paid up. I was happy with everything,

Renewal by Andersen was excellent. From the salesman who came out and explained everything, to the guys that installed it. They explained and showed me everything, and went over the warranty. The whole process took about a month. The salesman came over on a Thanksgiving weekend and the windows were installed right after Christmas. Their quality of work was very good. However, I can only afford four windows. It'd would be nice if they could lower their prices. Nonetheless, they have absolutely the best windows.
Thanks for sharing, Doug! We are so pleased to hear that you had a great experience with our team!

Sales pitch did involve pressure in that the best price was only available if you acted now. We were told the price was all inclusive, and we asked and were told there would be no additional cost several times, but we were charged an additional $3,000+ because some rot was found in a few places. We ordered the Windows in early October but the job (9 windows) wasn't started until late December and was not finished (almost) until the end of March. This resulted in significant work rescheduling on our part not to mention heating oil costs due to all the time the house was leaking heat. It appeared that other customers had a priority over our $30,000+ job. I say "almost complete" because we didn't get the last screen delivered until July.
Overall, it was an extremely unpleasant experience. There was a lot of leaking around one of the new Windows because, I was told, the "standard installation procedure" relied on completely watertight siding and because some water got behind the siding above the window, the seal around the window leaked terribly even though there was no leaking before the window was replaced. It was eventually fixed at no further additional charge but it took some arguing. Of the nine Windows replaced, only two were done without any additional charges. Although I am happy with the Windows themselves, that's the only reason they got two stars, I will never deal with Renewal by Andersen again nor can I recommend them in good conscience. You can do much better elsewhere.

Updated on 03/01/2019: I am back! Like I said before stay away from Renewal By Andersen. They sent out another employee and went through the same moves. Three weeks later, to no surprise the company said it wasn’t their windows but the house. In their explanation they also mentioned about reading the booklet on condensation. Funny thing is we never received any sort of booklet until after the fact. The company is bogus and they sell ** windows! Just my opinion! So before you buy windows please shop around and stay away from RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN.
Updated on 02/01/2019: Renewal by Andersen commented on how they wanted to rectify the problem. So we gave them the information that they requested about how to contact us. Still haven’t heard from the company. This is a bogus company with a bogus product. Today we woke up and instead of condensation we had ice. DO NOT BUY THEIR WINDOWS! Run fast and far! We paid a lot of money and for an inferior product. No pun intended but that was money thrown right out the window!
Original Review: The windows are cheap and they don’t work. Called the office in our area and no help. We called their hq in Minnesota and no help. They called the office in Middletown NY and they sent the same person and did the same inspection. They tried telling us it wasn’t their windows but our house. They told us what to do and we did still condensation! DO NOT BUY FROM RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN!! Run far and fast! I told the gentleman that came I never had trouble with Northern Windows and never had any condensation and he just shrugged his shoulders. Please don’t waste your money on Renewal by Andersen! We will contacting the BBB and maybe the Attorney General for NY.

We have Andersen windows in one of our buildings out back and we like them. Then we got six double-hung windows when they had a great special for the fair that we waited for. The reps were very thorough and explained everything that was gonna happen and followed up afterward how everything turned out. The installers were very clean, respectful and they got the job done in one day. Also, the painter who came in afterwards to do the touch-up was really nice. Everything was terrific and I love the quality of the windows. I'm a very happy customer and I will recommend them to anybody.

When Tom from Renewal by Andersen (RBA) came out to give us an estimate he was polite and professional, but from that point on everything was a cluster. We were informed that we were approved for $7,000 that the window job would be $3,600 for 4 Windows which I thought was expensive but Andersen is "supposed to be" good windows. If I had read these reviews before ordering I NEVER would have ordered!
The contract was signed November 30th and the loan was pulled out by RBA on December 4th. Installation wasn't even scheduled until January 23rd and we're already being charged interest on a loan for products we don't have and informed that payments would not be expected until a month after installation. Several calls later by me, I was informed that there was nothing RBA (John) could do, even though their contract states a late cancellation fee of 25% of purchase price. This is absolutely the worst sales experience I've ever had in my entire 47 years.
When I called Tom, he referred me to his boss, John, which took another two days for a return call, and I was informed at that time there was nothing he could do because the product was already in his Warehouse, when I informed him of page 5 of the contract stating that 25% of total bill could be paid to cancel the order he said he didn't understand and ask me to explain it to him three times.
When I called the contractor I was informed that the windows were made by J&M windows in Pennsylvania and would be installed by someone other, neither company was RBA, and their offices were closed before 4:30 p.m. If this is the level of respect and professionalism that RBA is capable of, I will never, ever do business with them.

I have family that have used Renewal by Andersen before, and it was really good quality. From the point I met with somebody and ordered the sliding door until it was installed was five weeks. The installation took four hours. The sales rep showed us the various types of doors that they offered and the various hardware that you could pick. They thoroughly went over what the different doors were made of, their finishes, how the install goes and what they do. They explained everything really well. The installation team was really nice too. They were trio of guys and seemed to know what they were doing. You could tell that they’ve done it before, which I expected but was nice to see.

We are in need of new windows here in our 30 year old home in Freedom NH. Then one day recently we received a mailer saying that we could receive a neighborhood discount, so I called and set up an appointment. We only wanted to replace what we could afford and we decided on replacing 5 windows. He would just do that. He insisted on measuring every window in the house even though there are only 2 sizes. Well all said and done when he showed us his iPad with the total we almost fell over. SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. I said, "Sorry for wasting your..." It took him two hours to give us the quote. The windows were impressive but do not think they're worth the price of a new automobile. That quote was for 4 double hung and a box window replacing an existing dual double hung. We just wanted a price for the windows when he showed up but no, had to do the spiel so he wasted two hours. Very nice gentleman.

We had Andersen windows before so we tried to stick with the same company. They came out on Black Friday. We went over the pricing on the windows, what they had available and we made our choice and selection. They were out a week and a half later and did the measurement for the windows. Everybody was polite, courteous and handled everything in a timely fashion which was great. They told me it'd be a two-day install. We have a one-and-a-half-year-old and a three-year-old and they were here with two teams and got it done in five hours. We have the windows in already. However, there were some scuff marks, scratches on some of the frames. So, they’re coming back out to see if they can either clean those up or if they have to replace the frame. So far, everybody has been fantastic. We already gave our friends the information to consult for their windows.

Waited 12 weeks for a 'standard' sized door that did not fit my old Pella enclosure. Installer had to insert a 2" piece of wood on top portion, but due to light switches on side he couldn't extend the molding. The installer even stated that he could make it work but the door should have been measured to fit, and didn't. He didn't finish the agreed upon work, including adding the door stop lock stating, "No need to install because I'm sure I'll be back to install a new door correctly". Reached out to Andersen numerous times but with no response. Customer service did say that someone would contact me that day... No one did as this happened repeatedly. Went with who I thought was the best and stand behind their work... Should have just gone to Home Depot and bought one of their standard stock doors and would have been just as happy and not out $3,800 for just a door! Disappointed with Renewal by Andersen.

We knew Renewal by Andersen's name by reputation and we had their windows in other houses. We had six windows replaced in an older home that we owned. We called them up and went through the process, which was pretty smooth and it worked out really well. They came out, measured, built custom windows and installed them. It took about a day to do all the windows, from 7:30 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon. The reps I dealt with were excellent. I’d highly recommend Renewal by Andersen.

Mike ** came out to give us a price for windows. It started out at $35000.00. By the time he was done he had dropped the price down $ 20000.00. We bought 7 windows with the contract for 4 other windows that Mike said we had till 2020 to get for that price he said it would not go up. We had Mike come out to get the other 4 windows done. He informed us that it was going to cost us $544.00 more for the 4 windows. We refused to pay the extra money so Mike got very upset because we wouldn't pay it then he said we could have it for the original price. We did not buy them.
Now to the original windows ordered them April 2018. We did not get them till Oct 20th. They came to install the windows. John the contractor did a good job but he was training 3 other guys. They messed up all 5 of the windows they put in. Had to have another guy come out finely to fix them. They made 2 windows with only 1/2 screens were double hung windows ordered with full screens.
Yesterday another guy said he had my screen came out with 1/2 screens AGAIN, said he would order full screens for the third time!!! We don't know if we will ever see our screens and we pray that we don't ever have any other problem with the windows, we have talked to at least 16 different people trying to get the windows fixed. 2 windows came damaged. They said they weren't leaking so they are not going to fix them. This is the worst company we have ever had to deal with. Please do your homework and check all the reviews on the net. We found 100s of them after we bought the windows. Would not recommend this company for anything.

I had some bad windows in my house from the day it was built and I wanted to replace them. I finally got around to it economically to be able to do it. It was a very expensive proposition. You have to do a little bit of research before you enter into something like that. Renewal by Andersen has a good reputation. I talked to them a couple of times at various home shows and decided to go with with.
I had two different teams. The first time, I had more than 13 double-hung windows done. I had the team come in and I watched them. They were like beavers. They did a great job. Each person knew what their job was and it was like clockwork. They were in and out of my house replacing a lot of windows in one day and I was very happy with that. All of the interactions with Renewal had been good, and that was why I called them back a second time to replace some large stationary windows in my living room. I had the glass replaced by a glass company a couple times, but I'm just gonna go ahead and get Renewal to do that. Every window in my house, with a couple of exceptions, was done by Renewal. It has been a good experience.

When we built our home 40 years ago, we had Andersen windows installed and we were very happy with those windows. And those windows were still in the house when we sold it two years ago. It’s still airtight. The salesperson that came here also did a very good job. I like the quality of the windows and since I had them installed at our other house 40 years ago there’s been some major upgrades in technology so we’re very happy. They do an excellent job on the installation.
We bought our house two years ago. It’s an old farmhouse built 1965 and everything in the place was original. We had to tear everything out and replace. The old windows were single pane and drafty, so we had to do something. We did it with Renewal and so far, so good. Their timeline was right on. They said it would take two days which surprised me because this was winter. They also said the person that was coming in doing the staining, that would take a few hours, and they were spot on. The first day, they did all but three windows and the door. Those items had to be totally removed and installed. The others were just a removal of the old window.
We asked a lot of questions and the rep was here an hour and a half. He did a real good job of showing us the differences between a single pane, your normal double pane windows, and the windows that he installed, like about the heat loss. He had some device that actually measured on a meter how much heat loss is going through in the windows, which we ultimately purchased. It’s not a complete job, but still, they didn’t have to touch the woodwork on those windows. And the siding was no factor. With their measurements, they were able to remove everything and install the new with no damage to the siding. I was wondering how they were gonna do that, and it must have been just because their measurements were so accurate. And as far as the workmanship inside, they had floor coverings all over. They were very cautious of doing any kinda carpet damage and the cleanup was virtually spotless.
The quality is excellent. The house is quieter and we definitely don’t have the draft. It’s gonna be so much more comfortable in the winters. And maybe we’re gonna have a total recovery of what we invested in 10 years. The comfort level right now is well worth the wait to recover your savings. We put on Facebook how happy we were with our new windows by Renewal by Andersen and we got a number of comments. A couple of people responded to us that they had the same experience.
Thanks for the awesome review, Dean! We are so pleased to hear that you are satisfied with your experience with our team. Thanks for taking the time to share!

There was no high pressure. He took his time and helped me on different things that I wasn’t sure of. The installation people were all very pleasant. And for the timeframe, they were ahead of what they said they were going to be. I was used to the two window look and there was one large window with a divider in the middle of it. Now, I have one huge window so I can see a lot more. When I walk by, I can see the whole backyard and my neighbor’s backyard. Renewal was great and I would recommend them.

I recently completed a renewal project for a bedroom, and my motivation for doing so was to reduce some of the noise through those windows, primarily one facing the backyard and an access street behind it. I was assured by the sales rep that these windows would be much quieter (I was given perception of 80-90% reduction and I was personally hoping for at least 50%). The bottom line is these windows don't reduce sound at all (ZERO) and are no better than the original windows in this regard. The replacement windows may be a higher quality, but my entire purpose for the project was to reduce sound, or I would have spent that money on a different home project, so this is been a very large waste of money. I'll give two stars instead of one because the side windows allow more light in, but I could have changed for that purpose much cheaper.
I was provided surveys about the installation only, not the product, and I wasn't going to ding the installation team, because they were professional. But I will ding the product and sales rep - who should have known the product better and been much more honest about it upfront. I would NOT recommend these windows for any sound reduction.

I had seen Andersen install before and I had been involved in the replacement of windows in a commercial building that I own. We compared Andersen and a couple of other windows, and Andersen was by far and away the better product. So when it came time to replace the windows in my house, that was what I chose. We got new windows and everybody was very good about contacting me in advance and letting me know what would be done and what I needed to do. It all went very well. The rep I worked with explained everything.
The installation process was very easy. They said it was going to take a couple days and they did complete the job in that timeline. They came in and did the setup first. Then they took out the windows and replaced them. It all went very smoothly. They also cleaned up after themselves very nicely. There is one little thing that I’ve noticed in my bathroom though. The handle latch on the window is a different color than the window. But I have been really busy and haven't gotten around to calling my contact person there. That aside, the quality of the windows is good so far and I would recommend Renewal by Andersen to anybody who would ask about them.

We had a single window in our living room done. It's a huge window that is 130 inches across, so they had to custom build it for us. We were given a time frame and they were early, so that was good too. The installation took only a couple of hours. They were really great, professional and awesome. They had put a nail in kinda crooked and they pointed it out and asked me if I wanted them to redo it. They were very honest, which I appreciated, and we thought the quality of work was great. It's funny that we have had several people come visit who drove by the house because they didn't recognize it. We have Andersen Windows in the house since it was built and when I needed a replacement of the sliding door, I naturally went to Renewal by Andersen. They gave me a timeline that they would not be able to schedule for three months. Then from start to finish, it was another three months, maybe longer. When the day to install the door came, they showed up promptly and put it in but there was a delay in staining the woodwork. It went for a month or more. The experience was long and agonizing.
I wouldn’t fault the guys who came though because the installer was working without an assistant. That person didn’t show up or something. The installer put that door all by himself in about six hours, which was astounding to me. How he handled that heavy door and all the heavy tools that went into installing it was amazing. He had to cart it on his truck around the house and through the back of the house, and the fact that he could do it all physically was amazing. I’d give him that credit.
The complication of it was that there was a blind on that door which we had to have taken down. Then when people came to put it back up, the dimensions of the woodwork had narrowed by three-eighths of an inch. So the old blind would not fit back in the spot. We had to buy a new blind and have it installed, which we added about 800 bucks to the price for. I was very dissatisfied and if I was getting another window installed, I would not even consider hiring Renewal by Andersen.

Renewal by Andersen has a reputation for quality of product and service. I live in a development where there was a family that was planning on having windows done, and they had an arrangement with Renewal by Andersen, and gave me that person’s contact, and kinda worked me in there. The windows were replaced, but that was through an insurance claim issue we had in our development here with some hail damage the summer before. The patio door was not part of the insurance claim, and it was really in bad shape. It was like a sieve and the windows came right through it so it needed to be replaced. The first gentleman who came out and presented the door options and pricing was very nice. Then, he turned me over to a scheduler and that was very good. And then after that, was the installer, then the painter-stainer. That’s four people altogether and they were very professional and prompt.
The entire process took a couple of months. The patio door installed is in a little 10 x 10 sunroom that we have. It’s a room that’s mostly windows and has two big three-panel windows. We were concerned after having the patio door, the old one, be so poor. We taped that up and put plastic over it. Now, we don’t have anything over the patio door, and it’s quite comfortable in that room so we’re very pleased.

The original building had Andersen windows initially and they were getting so cloudy. We couldn’t really clean them anymore and it was becoming unsightly, and then our sliding glass door had to be replaced. It was just getting too old. We replaced them with an upgrade in glass and they were wonderful. It was such an improvement. Everything was perfect. Their reps always kept us updated and kept us informed of when things were going to happen, and they happened on time.

I called Andersen for new windows. When they were suppose to show up for the measuring well they did not call or show up. Apologetic they set up another date and was late for that one. They took 3 months to install two windows and mismeasured the front picture window, so they boarded it up. 4 weeks sitting in the dark they finally called and were going to put the new window in, when a new contractor came in and said (WHAT THE HECK). YEA THEY DID NOT TELL HIM OF THE BOARDED UP WINDOW OR TELL HIM HE HAD TO TRIM IT OUT. All he said, "I don't have the trim and you did pay for it." Still sitting in the dark I am notified that they billed me for a job not completed. I do not recommend this company and I am sorry but there is a good window that is a lot cheaper and have more insulation. Hope not everyone was this dissatisfied.

Okla. The rep (Neal **) was very nice (when he was selling me the products). The price ended up over $20,000 - but I fell for it anyway. The windows were installed in October, 2018. The next day, I contacted Neal to change the windows to open to ones that would not (case windows). The cost went down almost $2,000. That's a lot for me. He said he would change it. Since I did not have immediate access to a computer, Neal said he would send the contract out with the person who measures the windows. I signed the revised contract. The person who measured said I would get a copy emailed to me, that he did not have an extra copy to give to me.
When I got information of the finance company, the amount financed was the complete amount from the original order. I have contacted Neal time after time, requesting that he correct the amount. Neal kept saying I received the corrected agreement. The only agreement I ever received was the blanket agreement with the finance company. I told Neal that once he received his commission, I feel he did not care. If he changed the amount financed to the lower amount, he would get a lower commission.
After many emails, Neal gave me another name, and said Ryan's contact information was in one of the many emails. I looked through all of the emails, and no such information was provided. I emailed Neal, telling him I did not have the information for Ryan, and to send it to me. As of today, I have not received it. I guess Renewal by Andersen does not believe in providing an itemized statement. Honesty?? As of 12/19/2018, I have not received any kind of itemized statement as to the costs of everything. The amount owed has not been changed with the finance company. I feel it is downright stealing!

The windows I had were from Renewal by Andersen. The house was built by my brother who's an architect and he had a strong relationship with Andersen windows. Then recently, I replaced the windows in my downstairs family room which were more than 10 feet wide and it entailed getting rid of the old sliding glass doors plus two windows that went pretty much from ceiling to the floor on each side of the sliding glass doors. I went with Renewal again and my interactions with their reps were great. They were not only helpful, they were also always letting me know when they’re gonna do what. There’s not one thing I could say bad about them. The installers who came out were also extremely courteous and it took them a while to finish. They had to do quite a bit and they were working here for about 5 hours.
The replacements are very good quality and I’m very happy with them. My other ones were really old and these new ones made a huge difference. With them, I don't notice the cold draft as much anymore. I expect some cold to come in with that much window, but not the draft like I used to have. Also, there was almost a gap with my other Andersen windows there. Overall, everything worked the way it should have worked. Renewal by Andersen's reps were prompt and efficient. They did what they needed to do and it all worked out good.

I contracted with RBA to replace three sliding glass doors and three stationary glass doors as well as three stationary windows located above one set of sliding glass doors. The price was very expensive ($26,000.00) but my past experiences with Andersen Products was favorable so I decided to go for it. The experience was horrible and this was the worst contractor that I have ever dealt with. The installation work was shoddy and poorly done. The quality control of the doors was poor and two of the doors were damaged with scratched glass and had to be replaced.
It took more than four months for the project to be completed because installer techs were not given proper instructions about what needed to be done and arrived without the proper replacement parts or the wrong parts. The reps in the office were disorganized and often did not know what needed to be done. I'm finished with Andersen Products and will never use them again. Be very careful if you are going to deal with them!

Renewal by Andersen is local and everybody in the Twin City had heard about them. We have a three-pane window which has two crank-outs and one permanent, and we replaced that with a slider. We had a very good experience with Renewal by Andersen's sales team. Everything they said they would do, they certainly did and did it on time and very well. The two workmen who put the window in were very nice and I enjoyed having them here. They did nice work and took under 2 hours to complete it. Now, the window has two big panes of glass that slide instead of three with the wood trim in between. We also have better vision outside. The only problem is it faces south so the sun comes in directly in the wintertime. Other than that, the window is good quality and I’m very pleased.

At this point I am practically rendered speechless by our unbelievable litany of problems with Renewal by Andersen. The windows do not live up to the hype, our old windows seemed to have had more sound insulation than the new Andersen windows. Cleanup was very poor. We spent over 2 hours vacuuming and sweeping on the first day. Still managed to get a splinter in my foot have since found several large pieces of glass in the garden. When we refused to give a 5 star rating because of the 2 above issues the head crewman said, "Oh, so you are going to be difficult customers."
One big window was installed with 4 cracks going from top to bottom. Several frames had been cut on one side only to install the windows hence an uneven appearance plus foam was hanging over the edges. The wrong window had been installed in upstairs master bathroom. A case of miscommunication with the salesman. On contacting the customer sales rep about seeing daylight in the corner of one window where edges did not meet, we were sent a link to a video to fix it ourselves!!!
The lock on one window is broken and there are 7 screws missing. When we went to the city offices to arrange inspection come to find out Andersen had not applied for the permit we had paid for. (Would this be illegal installation?) Customer service rep then had us do their job for them by taking photos to send to them for the permit. OK that done windows failed inspection primarily because of cracked window. After many texts, emails, and requested photos sent I FINALLY was able to get someone out to look who admitted that the work was not up to Andersen's usual standard. (By this time I am wondering if Andersen actually has any standards!!)
Two weeks ago crew was supposed to come and fix problems. No show. I called. Left a message. Half hour later I did receive a callback to inform me installer had called in sick. I wonder if they would ever have let me know. I wasn't holding my breath but another crew did arrive this morning, another date having been previously arranged and cancelled by them. This crew was not informed about the broken lock and missing screws so did not have the materials with which to fix it despite the fact I had been reassured by both the salesman and "customer service rep" that this had been put on the work docket. So we continue to have an unsafe, unlockable window!!! The communication and organizational skills of this company is simply stunning!!!
Now some of the frames have been replaced others have not leading to a totally mismatched appearance. This seems to be a company only interested in the quantity of work and money they can accumulate and to heck with quality and customer service and satisfaction. More fool us for trying to buy quality American goods!!! That concept appears to be a fallacy if our experiences with Renewal by Andersen is anything to go by. So Andersen how are you going to redeem yourselves???

I researched Renewal by Andersen and found that it was the best windows. They were the most expensive but they were really good. They were so well-known too. The representative I dealt with was great. He knew what he was talking about and he explained everything in great detail. When they ordered everything, they said it would be a couple of weeks. But they had a problem. They wrote the order up but when the windows were delivered, they were all frosted. They had to take the windows back and make up new ones. I had to wait over a month to get my windows.
On the other hand, the guys who did the installation were great and so helpful. I was asking them questions when they were installing and they explained things to me. The only thing is that I had recommended the windows to a neighbor and she got them. My salesman told me that I would get something for a referral but I haven’t gotten it and I'm still waiting. Nonetheless, I’m very happy with my double-hung windows.

Recently had 1 10 ft bow window and 8 double hung bedroom windows installed. Approximate cost $15000. There was no problem with installation. All was done in a timely manner, courteously and professionally. However in winter weather you cannot stand anywhere close to any of the windows without feeling the cold air coming in. You can actually feel a breeze blowing in where the frame meets the sill. Considering the price this kind of performance is completely unacceptable. It is time now that I need a 10 ‘bay window on backside of house. Rest assured it will not be Renewal by Andersen. I received a call recently from a Renewal by Andersen rep trying to sell me the product. I explained to him verbatim what was just written, told me he would bring it to the company's attention and that I would be receiving a call from them... Lololol. Guess I won’t be getting that call now. Very disappointing to say the least. Another drafty winter rolling in.

Everything went well and Renewal by Andersen's reps were all very helpful, from the person that came in right up through the ordering and the second guy that we had who came in here to do the measuring. Then, the install was really good. Other than that, the quality of our new windows is a whole lot better than what we had before. Right now, the heat stays in the basement whenever we heat it up,. But before, with the weather we got right now, it would have been all frosted up. Also, you can just tell it's solid down there.

I looked at some other window retailers and they didn’t have as good of a warranty policy. I called them and said that I would give birth in eight weeks and I had a window that needed to be replaced in the nursery before then. Everyone said they could maybe do it or maybe they could fit me in. On the other hand, Renewal by Andersen said that they were booked out 14 weeks but they understood that I was in a bind so they would see what they could do. They called me back 20 minutes later and they told me that they called one of their regular customers and he agreed to switch with me because I was pregnant and was going to give birth. That’s the company I wanna stand behind. One who sees a first-time mom-to-be and the panic in my eyes. So, it was the whole sales experience and the way that they treated me over the phone that made me choose them. They were great across the board and I enjoyed working with them.
They said that they could fit me in two weeks before my due date. So, it was in by the end of August. They called me and gave me a 12-hour timeframe and then, they called me the day before and gave me a more specific one. They came in and safely removed our original window from a 1955 house. They showed me how to work it and told me everything I needed to know about it. It’s beautiful and people should go with Renewal by Andersen.

I moved into a home that already had new windows by Renewal by Andersen put in, and I wanted to match those. Their rep was someone who I felt was on my level. He was very personable and a down-to-earth guy. He was excellent. I was happy with the installation, too. It took time, but it wasn't an issue for me. I was not in a hurry, and I was happy with their timeline. The installers acted very professionally and tried to keep the work site clean, and they were respectful of my home. I would have preferred to have more communication between them and me with things they noticed, or things that they could have pointed out to me, instead of just doing it and leaving. But I find it common that these installers will come and do their work and leave, and not point out things that might have been helpful for you to know about or to notice.
Renewal by Andersen has a good product, and they specialize in it, so they do it well. The only thing is, in Minneapolis where I live, you have to take out a permit to get a new window replaced, which I understood. But I would have liked to have known when the inspector was coming. They didn't let me know ahead of time when the inspector was coming. So, that's one other point of the communication that was not to the level that I wanted. Compared to other companies I've worked with, Renewal by Andersen is superior but they could still do a little better. Still, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I'd recommend them, and I have recommended them.

Very expensive but I thought I was paying for quality and service and boy was I wrong. They did the main install in July 2018 and it is now December 2018 and the project still is not complete. I financed the project through a company they recommended so they were able to weasel all the money form them before finishing the project.
Ever since then, I have had to call them over and over and they either don't return the calls or they tell me they have to order a piece of weather-stripping and it will take a few weeks to get it in. I finally managed to get them to caulk the holes, put up the trim, and paint the frame but even that took months to get done. Now there is a breeze coming in because there is a piece of weather-stripping missing and we had to stuff a rag into our $16,000 doors. This is the worst company you could ever hire and I wouldn't trust them ever again.

The Renewal by Andersen rep was very knowledgeable. He explained everything really well, so I knew exactly what I was gonna get. I dealt with him with my father-in-law's house first, and he did a very good job with that one. I liked Renewal by Andersen so much that I ended up choosing them for my house too. I thought about the quality and how well they explained everything to us, and I liked what I heard. Everything went exactly how the rep had said it would be, and it worked out the same way with my house too. He seemed like he knew what he was doing and talking about, so just the way he was, was all right with me.
Renewal by Andersen had their person come out to measure, and he came when they said he was gonna come. Then, for the installation, they told me which day and that they would start it at 8 in the morning. The guys arrived at 8 and they were very good people. They were very personal where it was like you can talk to them like they're neighbors. They definitely knew what they were doing and they did very quality work. I liked the way they weather-sealed the outside with the caulking. They did a really nice job there. Taking the old windows out, they were really careful with the old bay window, and they made sure it didn't fall. There were two groups, and they helped each other right throughout. One group had a patio guy doing the patio, and the window people are kind of a separate crew.
I had the patio door and bay window replaced, and then I did my one-bedroom window at this time. Eventually, I'd like to do more when I can afford it. They gave me eight to ten weeks as timeline when I had done it early summer. But it ended up being quicker because it only took six weeks. I had the trim work which is what I'm always impressed with. They did such a nice job with the oak trim that they put back on around the windows. They do an outstanding job and they do it so quickly and efficiently. Then they already had set up for my city inspector to come out, and that all went as smooth as silk.
I've already told people how great Renewal by Andersen is. I think it's the way to go, even if it's a bit more up front. I've got a lifetime guarantee and good financing, and then I had gotten a good deal as it was anyways, so it has made it a lot easier also. I recommend Renewal by Andersen to anyone who would ask or anyone that wants windows. I'm more impressed with their product than the vinyl windows that I purchased about 10 years ago. They are on the other part of my house. They seem to be all right and that's why I haven't replaced them yet, but they're nowhere near as good as the windows by Renewal by Andersen.

The installers were good so it had more to do with the sales portion but the reps were there to placate people and that’s what they did. So, other than it was disappointing, it got done. We did it in two phases for affordability and did the downstairs first and then upstairs. The installers did quality work. They also put in a grate front door which was very expensive.
There was one window that had a blemish and it was replaced promptly. It’s one of those things where you notice it yourself and perhaps others don’t. I paid a premium price for the work, but it’s quality stuff. When it’s time for us to move outta here, it’s one of those things you gotta do just to keep the house maintained, and it’s unlikely I’ll get my money back. But in terms of drafts, the heat, and the cold, it was a deal and I would do it again. I would recommend Andersen to anyone. It’s a little expensive, but you get what you pay for.

The installers also kept the house clean. Recently the slider was broken but we finally got ahold of customer care today, and they’ve scheduled a technician to come out.
Also the installers arbitrarily made the decision to change the size of my trim work around the bay window because there were some flaws in the drywall. I understand why they did that, but the trim around that window is the only trim like that in my entire house, and that annoys the crap out of me. If they had shown me what the problem was, my husband’s a good drywall repair guy and he could have fixed it and I would have had all the same trim. Otherwise, everything went smoothly.

Met with RBA rep today. The meeting started out ok but quickly deteriorated when we got to the quoting process. The retail price was $13k but was offered multiple discounts making the total around +$9600 with the caveat that it available "today only". Otherwise, you lose the +$540 discount and the cost jumps up to +/-$10,400. If you don't decide within 30 days, the cost jumps up to +$13k.
In hindsight, I now have a better understanding of why I was asked multiple times if the all the decision makers would be present at the meeting. High pressure is clearly their "model" and not just the style of the rep. They do not provide a cost break down for labor, supplies, permits, disposal, materials, and etc... He could not tell me the local labor rate nor how many people would do the job. He also implied that I was getting a better deal because two nearby neighbors just bought similar products.
I was told I would receive an email with the cost overview so I could review the details of the agreement and thus far have received nothing. The document was supposedly sent before he left. That was several hours ago. Lastly, Andersen knocking the competition with no facts, samples, photos or literature to substantiate your claims is an epic FAIL!!

The first red flag was when they insisted all homeowners be present when the salesman came to measure the windows. The reason for that is it eliminates the "I need to ask my spouse" excuse while they're pushing hard to have you sign on the dotted line. I find that to be despicable, windows are a LOT of money and it's shameful to try to trick people into making decisions without having time to talk it over.
The sales guy spent two solid hours showing us their product and belittling everything vinyl. He said several times vinyl windows only last about 5 years, which a quick Google search proved to be untrue. Some very cheap windows may only last that long but it was explained to us that ALL vinyl lasts 5 years or less. To push inaccurate/misleading information like that is unacceptable and they should be ashamed. If their product is as great as they boast, they should not need to lie about competitors.
Around 90 minutes in I hinted it was time to talk about cost, only to have him act like I hadn't given enough time and it was rude of me to rush him. He would tell us a fact about the windows and then say, "Now, isn't that something you'd want in your home?" to which we would answer yes, but inwardly we were rolling our eyes because it felt very salesman-y and rather patronizing.
When we finally got to numbers it landed at $85K for 16 windows and one slider door. Then the "but if you buy now..." started and we were shown all kinds of discounts that would only be applied if we signed that day or within 7 days. The cost went to $50K after the discounts, which he kept pushing despite the fact we were upfront about only wanting to know the cost so we could budget and plan. In the end, the whole experience was not what I would call pleasant. We will not be buying windows from Renewal by Andersen.

I talked to a bunch of different retailers and nobody could solve my problem. I thought I'd have to a go to a more commercial solution, but when I called Andersen and they came over, they said they could do the job and I couldn't be happier with what they did for us. I have a very modern home and I have floor-to-ceiling windows that go up about 14 feet in a corner. We have had to change them a couple of times since the house was built because it's a unique architecture and windows don't hold up very well. I had Andersen come in and they re-engineered it without undue cost. They were able to do the job earlier than they originally thought. Plus they were meticulous, so they left the house as clean as they found it.
The Andersen rep really knew his stuff. He wrote up the order and everything went off without a hitch. My one complaint was that we wanted to do some additional work, and he told me he would get back to me with some vendors that he knew, and he never did that. That was a little disappointing, but that's a minor thing. The windows look beautiful and it's not leaking. It wasn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. We finally found a permanent solution, and I'm thrilled. I don't think I'd ever call another window company.

This is the first time we have replaced windows in our home. We met with 3 top rated window installation companies and explored their products and installation services. In the end, Renewal by Andersen was our best choice and by far the best price. We were very happy with the entire process. Ryan, our salesman went above and beyond to meet and exceed our expectations for customer service. Tim, our measure tech was quickly available for my husband as he had questions from our builder.
Justin, Jeremiah and Jon were very quick, efficient and did an excellent job installing the windows. We anticipated a mess as the windows were being installed, this team was top notch in keeping mess to a minimum and cleaning up what was made so that I arrived home from work and you couldn't even tell work was done. The final product says it all, from great staff to absolutely beautiful, high quality windows, Renewal by Andersen should be everyone's choice for window replacement hands down!
Thanks for the awesome review. Michelle! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and are so happy to hear that you had a great experience! We hope you enjoy your new windows for many years to come!

We replaced 7 windows and were thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the windows and the installation process. A broken sash was installed on my kitchen window and 4 other pieces of glass had manufacturing defects. The installer left a large hole in my sheetrock and dirty windows. The manufacturing defects were between the two pieces of glass and looked like rock chips. The installer did not even bother to tell me the window sash was broken. When I finally spoke to the crew supervisor, he told me he was too busy at another job site that had problems that he could not address mine. He came the next day and promised to send someone over to fix the sheetrock on a Sunday, and that person never showed and then lied and said he called to reschedule.
The General manager in Houston said he would personally make sure my windows were taken care of in one visit. But again, broken promises- it took two more trips! Maybe my experience is not typical, but let me tell you, that my experience was an absolute disaster from start to finish! I received a lot of excuses from the RBA team. Everyone had an excuse for why I received such shoddy products and installation. At the end of the day, RBA felt that all the frustration, inconvenience and angst, was only worth an 8% discount. Needless to say I will not recommend RBA to anyone.
Rebecca - sorry to hear of your disappointing experience with out team. If you are willing, please reach out to me with your name and zip code and I will look into this case directly for you. You can reach me at tina.erickson@andersencorp.com

I chose Renewal by Anderson to replace two 8 foot sliders in my home. The salesman was very knowledgeable about his product but was not a pusher. He demonstrated with a heat lamp how inefficient my existing doors were. (Scary!) The doors took 3 months to arrive because they are made to order. The installers, John and Joe, arrived on time and were professional and courteous. The job was done in a few hours, including indoor and outdoor trim. John and Joe removed all trash and vacuumed. Upon inspection, we noticed 2 small cracks in the frames of both moving panels. I was assured they would both be replaced, and they were without a hassle. Now they are perfect and my house is warmer. The doors are beautiful and I highly recommend Renewal by Anderson!

I only have buyer's remorse and very upset with the high-pressure sales tactics that were deployed by the Renewal By Andersen rep to make my wife agree to spend $10,624 on 6 insert windows. I feel very much swindled. At the end of it all we do not have what we needed but instead we have the sales rep's vision plastered across the back of our house. The minimum amount of work and product was delivered at the highest cost to us. The RBA rep tried to get my wife to buy a front door with sidelights for over $14,000 but I managed to dodge that. I'll comment on that later. I am extremely annoyed that RBA does not provide an actual breakdown of costs for their windows, the labor, supplies and materials. RBA's literature eludes to cost savings and an ROI that, when you spend some time doing the math, doesn't exist.
As I read reviews here I guess that the warranty will not be honored, so, not surprised. In addition, this company treats its installers very poorly. I'll explain. During the install I voiced my questions and displeasure and wanted to make sure I did not cause any issues for the installation team, an independent contractor outsourced by RBA, that was actually incredibly competent and attentive. They informed me that I would receive a survey and that their performance was ranked by the following and if I answered less than 10, that they would be "dinged" by Andersen.
Here's the question, "Based specifically on your experience of the installation process, how likely are you to recommend Renewal by Andersen to a family member, colleague, friend or neighbor?" My actual answer is that install team did a great job putting lipstick on the pig of a product RBA sells. I got their number to come back and get some estimates for other jobs in the future. If the question is, will I buy Andersen again, the answer is zero percent chance of that. I would not wish my friends and family to be price gouged, placed in a high-pressure sales pitch, have arguments with their spouse over the outrageous high cost and lowered expectations. Andersen tries to divert responsibility of any issues on to the install team with that question. That's pretty slimy business tactics. That's another reason why any more window or door purchases for our home will not include Andersen or its affiliates.
To follow up on the door comment, I did convince my wife to buy a beautiful solid oak door with sidelights that have low E glass windows, she picked out exactly the locks and color that she wants for just over 4200 and that included installation. That company provided us a complete breakdown for labor and materials and no high-pressure sales tactics were involved.
I only hope you do your homework and get 5 quotes before you decide. This was also my folly not to do my homework completely. If the sales rep tries to force you to sign now, tell them that you sleep on all big purchases. If it truly is a good deal, it will be their tomorrow, and the next day, and next year and show then the door. One of the quotes from one of the other companies that I passed on, sadly, offered a quote that was good for a year. The other company was still pricey as well but their list of conditions, tasks to complete and costs were far better outlined. I am so angry with allowing this and not presenting my arguments clearly and concisely to my spouse to make her understand that Renewal's costs and benefits were not the best choice for us in any way.
As we are full-service, we are responsible for all parts of the process--people, process, product. We do want your unvarnished feedback, and you should not have been influenced to complete a survey in a way you did not feel comfortable with. That same committment to all three parts of the process is why we do offer a robust, fully transferrable limited warranty, and yes, we do stand by it. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need help.

Replacing our windows was something we have been considering and then Renewal by Andersen came to the door at an opportune time. So, I had them do the presentation. Also, almost everyone I knew had their windows replaced by Renewal so I went with them as well. The initial saleswoman was here for three hours which was a little over the top. She was friendly, knowledgeable and did the measurement first so she could give me an estimate. She set it up and also came back a second time when I had to sign everything and it went much quicker. After that, a guy came to do the measurement again and he seemed to know what he was talking about.
I had 14 windows replaced and the people who did the installation came and did what they had to do while I also did everything I was supposed to do. They were done in a day. The last guy who came to stain the windows did what he said he was gonna do. I love the windows and they are great. I would recommend Renewal by Andersen. It was a fine-tuned machine from start to finish. I felt very comfortable that they knew what they were doing and it was not hit or miss.

Paid Anderson $1,000 in August for a down-payment on one window, and 3 months later they STILL have not installed it. Numerous no shows, installation cancellations, excuses, non-returned calls. It’s now mid-November in Boston, freezing weather, and we still don’t have the window we paid for last summer. Winter is here, it’s 29 degrees, and it will be very difficult to cut a huge hole in our house now to install this window. Horrible customer service, terrible scheduling department, over-priced, disorganized.

I previously used Andersen double hung windows upstairs, and the windows that needed to be replaced were too large to consider doing them myself. I wanted to speak with Andersen so that was why I went with Renewal. I got from them a bay window, so the center section of that is solid, and then either side of that is a double hung. The representative we dealt with was extremely knowledgeable, very professional, and we really were able to work things out very well with him. During the installation, the crew showed up, and when I got home, everything was done, so that was good. The windows are of top-notch quality. However, I’m getting an awful lot of literature in my email. They can take me off their mailing list because I am all done. Still, overall, I’m very satisfied.

A customer of Renewal had told me about their experience and referred me to them. Jeff, the sales rep, was a great guy. He was very professional and we got along great. He made me feel very comfortable about him and the product and he was able to demonstrate to me just how much better a Renewal by Andersen window is versus other types of windows that are out there, about how much heat they let in, and how easy it was to open and close the slider door and open and close the window. The product pretty much sells itself but Jeff put a nice touch to the whole presentation.
Also, he walked me through the entire process and told me how long it would take them to make the windows and when they would call me to schedule the appointment. I was able to get the appointment scheduled within six to eight weeks of the sales call. Then, the guys came out and they were there 12 hours and did the whole job then. They took out the old stuff, put the new stuff in, did the hallway, and cleaned up.
I purchased a new slider door, double-hung windows, a single pane or a single slider window, and another one where I had two horizontal slider windows and they're fantastic. The only thing with the installation that wasn’t communicated upfront was the fact that the old windows I had left about a 1½ to 2-inch depth in the window pane. So, when they put the new ones in and some of the windows in the house, I couldn't use my blinds for the prior window because they would stick out too far. They didn’t fit flush with the pane. I had to go out and spend another $300 in blinds for the windows that didn’t conform. That was an additional cost that I didn't anticipate. And it’s no longer a perfect match window-to-window but I really don’t care. As long as the sun is blocked out, it doesn’t matter to me that I got the Bali Aluminum 1-inch and the contractor-grade 2-inch wooden that came with the place. I was happy with the entire process.
Thanks for taking the time to share about your experience, Christopher! We are pleased to hear that you are satisfied with your experience with Renewal by Andersen (aside from the extra expense of having to buy new blinds). Thanks again for sharing!

I have three Andersen Doors installed that are 20 years old. On the outside of the door the rectangular siding has become unglued. I contacted Andersen Service, which has been a nightmare. I was give five different numbers to call before finally reaching a person that requested measurements, pictures of the doors, inside and out as well as Andersen numbers from the doors. This was compounded by the fact that the representative was unable to speak clearly.
Finally after I called back I was told that the door department does not handle these doors, I had to call the Window department. Then when I reached the window department I was told to again search for numbers on 20 year old doors that are not legible. I finally asked who locally could repair the doors and was given a number locally. The pictures clearly show the doors require a metal rain guard to be installed over the top like the top of the doors have been built. Way too many phone calls to Andersen to have a simple problem resolved.

We like Andersen’s products. It seemed to be a lot sturdier, and it looked like it would last longer compared to other retailers. We got double hung type windows and awning type, but instead of going out from the bottom, it goes from right to left. The two representatives we had were both really good, very knowledgeable on the product and weren’t pushy. The installers were excellent. They came out, took all the windows out, had tarps down to make sure nothing got damaged. And when they were done, they cleaned up really well before they left. Renewal by Andersen in Rochester NY made our very large window wrong. The reason we ordered it from Andersen so it was manufactured in one piece at the factory. The paperwork showed we ordered right and now Andersen wants to only replace the center section of the window. That’s exactly what we didn’t want. Their mistake now they want to save money instead of ordering the whole window new like we asked for. Took forever for them to answer or get call backs to resolve the issues and in the end they threatened us with legal action if we don’t pay the balance. Basically strong arming us for the money even though a replacement isn’t acceptable to us. It isn’t new out of the box one whole piece and that’s what out expectation was and that’s what the salesman promised. I had a set of Renewal by Andersen sliding glass doors in my dining room headed out to my deck area for years. I was very happy with those and because they lasted a long time, I returned to this company to replace them with new ones. At the same time, I also replaced my front doors and storm doors with new doors from them.
However, when I got the new storm doors, the factory keyed the locks so they matched. So, I only have to use one key. I've had so much trouble with the key not wanting to work on the storm door lock. It works only on the front door. As a result, two different people have come out to service it and I've already had the interlock changed. I’m wondering if that’s a very good system only because I also maintain an apartment in Austin, Texas near my family. That apartment complex tells me my garage door and my front door to the apartment are keyed so that the same key works. It doesn’t work there either. I’d rather have two keys and have two locks than for them to keep trying to use the same key work both locks.
Another complaint I have is that when I try to call the service department number, nobody ever answers. Though I leave my name and a message and two or three days later, somebody calls me back, I can never get through to the service department. That's frustrating sometimes. Still when they call, Renewal's reps have been lovely and they try to be helpful. If I get new windows in the future, I'll go with Renewal by Andersen because I've been very happy with the salespeople, with the representatives, the people who come out to service my place. I recommend this company to other people.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! Sorry to hear about the frustrating experience with your locks. But we are glad that you still would choose Renewal by Andersen again, despite this problem. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help this situation! Thanks again!

Renewal by Andersen is a local company and they have a reputation. I got a replacement window from them and it was done faster than I thought. I was also informed all along the way. The salesperson who came out has had some experience and was knowledgeable about the products that had been offered in the past as well as the product that Andersen was offering then. He also informed me about the difference between a vinyl window versus some kind of a composite, which is what Andersen makes the windows out of. He told me how much he did several replacements and gave me a price based on what I could afford. I could really only afford to do one window. They're expensive but I'd recommend them.
I love the window that I got and I wish all my windows were that window. My old, rattly ones are very thin and they let a lot of heat out. They're not very good quality. I wish Andersen had some kind of a window installment program where you could pay for one window per year and get the rate for doing a whole house of windows. The installers I had dealt with were also very professional and clean. They had a cancellation and they let me know they could come early. They also took really good care of my property as far as covering the carpets and cleaning up after themselves. They did a really excellent job.
HI A. Thank you for taking a moment to share your feedback! We are happy that you are enjoying your product and that you feel like they are making a difference in your home. A small room off of our living room has all windows and we noticed in a rainstorm that there was some leaking in those windows. We did a little bit of research then my wife and I decided that Renewal by Andersen was the best window on the market. We called and when the guy from Renewal came out, we agreed to a price. After we made the decision to buy the windows, somebody came out almost immediately to measure. Originally, they thought that it wouldn’t be until some time in January that they can install. But then they called us and said they wanted to set up a date. The windows were put in in early December. It was a quick process.
Installation was also absolutely fantastic. There was a guy who was like the foreman of the group. He directed the others and helped out. Then there were three or four in the crew, and it only took them about six hours to put all the windows in. They were professional too. They put down all the stuff that needed to be put down to catch the dirt and debris. They even helped me move a couple pieces of furniture out of the room. They knew exactly what they were gonna do and were really good.
I recommended Renewal to two people right away. I told them upfront that the windows are expensive but that we’re very satisfied with them. The windows that were in the room were original windows in the house, and the house was built in 1928. They were double-hung windows but the storm windows were not attached. It wasn’t all one piece like these Andersen windows are. So in the winter months, we noticed right away that you can’t really feel the cold breeze coming through. There wasn’t a cold spill-off off the Andersen window. We also got the leak taken care of. We have not noticed any leaking since the replacement.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Otto! We are so pleased that you have noticed a difference in the coziness of your house - what a bonus! Thanks again for sharing your experience! We appreciate it!

DO NOT purchase windows from Renewal by Andersen. It was my worst financial decision that I have ever made in over 70 yrs. It took them 7 months to install 12 windows. It is a total ripoff. The patio doors alone cost over $3,000 a piece. They measured one of the three patio doors wrong, so we had a boarded up window for over 5 weeks and now we have two windows of normal size and one much smaller. Every one of the 12 windows has a different shade of stain. The wood quality is very poor. Customer relations is the worst of any company that I have ever dealt with. DO NOT give them any money up front. One time they came to install the windows and they were not even close to the stain color we agreed on. The next time, they never showed up or even called. I could go on and on but I will leave this to close; if the windows they installed were in their showroom or with the salesman, they would NEVER make one sale.

I was looking for bids on a simple kitchen window and door replacement. After speaking with a customer representative, I was told that in order to send someone out to give me a quote, they needed to meet with both me and my husband. I demurred, stating that (1) he has a difficult schedule to work around and (2) the project is solely mine, from both a planning and fiscal standpoint. I was told that because of the number of choices and price points available for review, they insist on both partners being present at the consult.
Again, I reiterated the fact that my husband is not involved (nor does he want to be) in this project; therefore, his presence is neither necessary nor warranted. I can only assume this policy runs both ways (I.e., that husbands are also required to have wives present). Nevertheless, I find the requirement needlessly inconvenient, not to mention insulting (husbands and wives are perfectly capable discussions between themselves independent of sales personnel) and, quite frankly, silly. I declined to proceed further with this company and have since received bids from several other well-regarded companies in the area, none of whom required my husband’s presence, and one of which will get me business now and, potentially, in the future.

Renewal by Andersen came to offer the best explanation of what they were going to do for our front door. The salesman was very clear in his explanation of what the door would accomplish and how sturdy it was. And then, the workers were very polite and cleaned up after themselves until we were satisfied. The door is very solid. We were looking for a secured door for our front door, and they did a fine job.
Thanks for the awesome review, Carson! We appreciate you taking the time to share about your experience!

Renewal by Andersen wasn't the lowest among several quotes that I got from window retailers but in my estimation, we had the best product so we went with them. The people that came out to measure, and those that came and installed the windows, including the gentleman that gave us the initial quote did a great job and were very professional. The windows are for a church and they're very specialized. They're for one very long channel that is about a story and a half. The church was built in the 60s and it had aluminum frame windows before. They took everything out and they had to manufacture the windows that would fit into those channels. And it all looks great.
Renewal by Andersen gave us a time frame when they came out and measured it and told us when they would be ready to be installed. It didn’t take them very long and everything went smoothly. We weren’t able to do everything in one shot, but they worked with us. Being a church, we needed to raise the money so we did half the windows and then, it’s a year and a half later when we finished the other half of the windows. Renewal by Andersen was a stable company and I would highly recommend them.
Thanks for sharing, Peter! We are glad that we could work to accommodate your unique project. We hope your church enjoys the new windows for many years to come!

The guy at Renewal by Andersen was excellent to work with. He stepped out and gave us a moment to talk about the decision. It was awesome since we were sitting there under pressure and we had to make a decision right away. We’re very pleased with him. By that time, we’ve also heard a lot about the Andersen windows. Plus we really liked the option they gave us. It’s the two-years-to-pay with interest-free. That attracted us a lot. We financed through them and they took care of everything. They sat right here and it was easy. We didn’t have to leave the house.
We were having 18 windows replaced and they gave us a timeline but they actually came earlier than what we anticipated. They also did it in a day. I was very surprised. The crew came in at around 8:00 in the morning and they stayed and finished it. It was late. I don’t even know if they really took a lunch break. We’ve got an old house and it probably had no original windows in it. I just had the storm windows, and they removed and took everything with them. We didn’t have to touch a thing. It was quite a crew. It was a hard-working bunch and we were very tickled with them. And I love the windows. The curtains don’t move when the wind blows anymore.
Thank you, Darrell! We are happy to hear that YOU are happy!

My elderly mother was sold several $1800.00 a piece plain casement windows for her 16×80 TRAILER. They took advantage of her for sure! Had them installed and the South and West facing ones warp in the heat. You cannot shut once open. They are closing now because we are getting cooler. Andersen’s solution is to put handles on the bottom so they can be opened. Says "the windows just do that" So, they warp? Not impressed at all, these things were horrible to deal with all summer. For $1800.00 they should lift with one finger...Run from this company.

My mom had a doorwall installed by Renewal by Andersen. Their rep told me when she would be there and was really punctual. She was very professional. She came in, did the measurements, told me what to expect, then followed up constantly to make sure that the installation was satisfactory. She then followed up after the job was done. The installers were in and out very quickly. They made sure everything was covered and cleaned up when they were done. I like the doorwall and it's good value. I'd tell friends that Renewal by Andersen would be a good phone call to make.

Caveat emptor certainly applies to this company. I met with a sales rep (Brian) in early March about replacement windows. After we reached a deal I paid one half of the cost that day with the balance due upon completion of the work. Windows were installed in early to mid May but the installation crew could not finish the external trim work that day (did not have proper tools/equipment) and said another crew would have to do the exterior trim work at a later date. In a week or two another crew (different technicians) arrived at my house to do the exterior trim work. At this time I paid the balance due.
I had not originally ordered screens for all the windows but was told by the salesman (Brian) in March that there shouldn’t be any difference in price. This was my mistake as I was to discover from a customer service representative that each screen would cost an additional $100.00 since in the original contract I had not specified that I might want screens in the future. Repeated efforts to reach the salesman, Brian were unsuccessful.
In early July, I agreed to pay the additional $100 per screen ($500 total) and the customer representative (Staesha) stated it would have to be a credit card transaction as RBA would not accept a check for this procurement? Our credit card was charged $500 on 24 July but when I contacted the company on 15 August the screens had yet to be ordered. The present customer service rep, Myron, stated that the former service rep who took our order (Staesha) had been terminated. He was mildly apologetic and ordered the screens that day?
When the screens finally arrived in mid September, the technician Gary who delivered and was to install them said they didn’t fit and should be re-ordered. He was surprised that RBA had charged me an additional cost for the screens and said that for the additional expense I incurred I should expect the screens to fit properly. He measured each window and placed a new order.
On 15 October I received a call from the customer service rep Myron and he said the new screens had arrived and wanted to schedule an installation date. I requested that Gary install the screens since he had measured them and was familiar with the situation. I was informed that Gary had been terminated and that another technician would be delivering the screens.
Since my original installation date of the windows in early May, RBA had terminated two customer service reps and at least one technician (and I suspect the salesman who I dealt with in March is no longer with the company). I voiced my concerns and dissatisfaction with RBA company methods to Myron but felt like he was just reading from a prepared script and wasn’t really that concerned with me as a customer or my lack of satisfaction.
Consumers should think twice before using this company. For a company that claims a superior product and customer service, I have found this to not be the case. Their TV ads are very misleading and disingenuous. Consumers should take a look at their local contractors before dealing with this outfit. If I ever get my situation resolved, I will not deal with RBA in the future nor will I ever recommend RBA to neighbors or friends.
Dennis: I am sorry to hear about your experiences. Obviously we do not want our homeowners feeling this way. If you would be willing to send me your contact information, either via message or by emailing me at Megan at andersencorp dot com, I would be happy to make sure this gets to our regional manager here at corporate HQ and that we can look into your situation. Don't believe the sales pitch. The windows may be better than others, but air comes in at the bottom of my hanging windows where the sash meets the frame. And it took two installations, the second replacing all the windows to get where they are today. Three crews came to work on the replacement of all windows, one door, and putting a new window in a kitchen under renovation, which involved closing one up. The first crew installed the kitchen window but couldn't come back for the shingling so a second crew came, not knowing where the first crew left off and unprepared (they picked up nails on the way so were hours later than expected). They used one nail per shingle and didn't leave space between them so within a few weeks they'd buckled.
It was clear to the tech crew that reviewed the problem that the shingling needed to be redone. The third crew shingled the wall correctly, as well as other unfinished carpentry around the door. Because I could feel a breeze on my neck when sitting in front of the windows, they decided to add weatherstripping. This made the windows hard to open and close. More happened that I won't go into. It took writing the president of Renewal to get another tech crew out to assess the windows. They felt replacing the windows was the way to go, that new windows shouldn't need weatherstripping.
After the windows were replaced, some of the screens didn't fit and needed to be reordered. I waited to put them in the windows because when the light hits the screens at an angle, they're almost opaque. Invisible straight on, though. One window bounced shut and needed a part to be ordered and the lock on another needed to be adjusted.
In August, when the technician was installing the replacement screens (this time they fit), I noticed a hole in another screen. I bought the high-end insect screens because my old screens had a lot of holes and I thought the stainless steel would hold up. I also understood the screens to be under warranty for 10 years. A waste of money! I put the screens in the windows at the beginning of the summer and by August there's a hole? And today I was told it's out of the 90-day warranty. Really? A nightmare from start to finish other than the workers who seemed to be trying and the fact that they came back at least six times. No, I won't be paying Renewal by Andersen another penny for a new screen.
Emily, thank you for reaching out. I am sorry to hear about your frustrations. I would be happy to look into your case directly if you would like. You can email me at megan at andersencorp dot com or message me here. Thank you!

I interviewed a couple of other companies and they were a lot cheaper window-wise. Renewal by Andersen was a little pricey but we had them before in our other house and their product lasted really good. We like the quality and the way they were made and trimmed. Recently, we had all new windows put in. The salesman told us about the different windows, how they would trim them out and what window we should go with. The trim work and the oak around the windows look good and it didn’t take them very long to do the windows. One of the cranks wasn’t connected right on one of the crank-out windows but they came back and fixed it within a week.

To all Renewal by Andersen customers – presents and potential customers: I would like to share my very disappointing and bitter experience I had with Renewal by Andersen company, located at 9825 FM 2920, Tomball TX 77375. All things were great until the moment when Renewal by Andersen was supposed to fulfill their great warranty promise of “20 years limited warranty for glass”. Many companies do promise great warranties for their products, but few abide by what they promise and demonstrate solid professional integrity and healthy business values and ethical norms. Fulfilling a promised warranty represents the turning point that sets apart good and reliable companies from the rest.
My unfortunate case was handled very poorly by Renewal by Andersen. Their products are expensive products and the promise to their clients is not only about high quality products, way above average, but also great warranty policy. Renewal by Andersen chose to put at stake their reputation over a +$1,500 window. My story occurred in May of 2018 and the entire story affected me so much emotionally that I decided to step away from it for a while so that I can assess the whole situation with professionalism not based on emotions. So here I am 5 months later ready to tell my story to help people decide on a window provider and avoid the ones like Renewal by Andersen. We are living in a world where media and social networking is widely spread so the word goes far and quick. There is good chance to reach out to many people via Facebook, companies’ websites, Nextdoor, Yelp, Google reviews, etc... So this is my story:
On the morning of Saturday May 5, 2018, around 10 am, the main picture window (70 inches x 70 inches) from my living room literally exploded. My husband was reading on the couch next to the window while I was doing errands. The sound was terrifying; at first it was difficult to comprehend what was going on, what was that sound and where was coming from. After a few moments, he could see the large window next to him starting to develop cracks, which were growing fast in a web like pattern from the top right corner of the window. The outside panel was slowly but surely cracking from the top right corner down.
I place the 1st call to Renewal by Andersen as soon as I got home around noon on the same day to report the problem. I wanted to emphasize the danger of the situation and the fact that no impact was heard; I have nothing in my backyard that could hit the window; just grass and a tree. Called 2nd time on Monday 5/7/2018 at 1:05 pm and was told that the person in charge with the case was, **, was gone for lunch, and I was advised to leave a phone message which I did. Called 3rd time, also on Monday 5/7/2018 at 4:32 pm to discuss the issue. I was very anxious about the hazard the window created on my porch since we did not want to touch anything so that the estimator could evaluate the situation properly; I was informed that they will send an estimator soon but no exact date was given.
An estimator came on Friday May 11, 2018; he spent about 10 minutes evaluating the situation, took notes and told my husband that he will recommend replacement. He was not interested in seeing any photos we had and took as evidence (showing the cracked window). I would like to emphasize that the estimator did not touch the glass and window, did not remove the broken shards that were still hanging dangerously from the window. The porch was covered with thousands of shards and glass fragments since we made no attempt to remove absolutely anything so that we were not accused of altering the evidence and the scene.
Between the time the window broke and the estimator came over the house, the window shattered in phases: phase 1 – developed a web like cracking system across the entire window (2-3 days); phase 2 – once the gas between the panels was out, a hole developed in the panel and little by little shattered fragments started to drop on the floor. The window is large (70”x70”) so it took about a few days for the glass to drop from the window. The entire situation represented a hazard with serious safety concerns; we refused to touch anything so that we do not alter the scene but also we were afraid to remove the glass due to safety concerns. Well, the estimator neither did attempt to safely remove the shards hanging from the window (as we expected) nor did he give us instructions on how to handle the situation in a safe manner. That was the big warning that the Renewal by Andersen does not take safety seriously.
Curiously, their “Care and Maintenance” manual includes a big warning note (page 4 in their manual) on how to handle glass (which I discovered only now while preparing this letter): “Wear safety glasses, goggles, or eye shields and gloves when handling glass. Tape broken glass with duct or filament tape before removal to reduce glass fragmentation. Failure to do so may result in injury”. I did mention my safety concerns to them over and over and neither I received any advice on how to handle this nor they came to take care of it. By not removing the broken glass from the window is in my opinion a critical failure in their safety protocol for their clients.
Called 4th time on Monday 5/14/2018 at 2:50 pm to inquire about the report the estimator generated; I was told that the report was not in yet; I was not able to talk to the person in charge with the case, ** and left a phone message. Called the 5th time on Friday 5/18/2018 at 7:48 am to inquire about the report; the report was still not in and left another message for ** which she persistently refused to call back. Called the 6th time on June/4/2018 at 11:18 am and left another message. So during a month they refused to even call back. Never mind cooperating. On June 4,2018, finally received a call back letting me know that the report was in but no resolution yet. Called the 7th time on 6/5/2018; no answer; left a phone message for **. Called the 8th time on Wednesday 6/6/2018 at 9:30 am and talked to a new person, **, that told me that the window is not covered because the glass was removed!!! I could not believe it!
So here I was being accused of removing the glass, so tampering with evidence, which was my first priority NOT to touch anything for a week so that we precisely were not going to be accused of what they were shamefully accusing us anyway. Never mind the fact that it was huge breach in their safety protocol letting clients handling broken glass. It was quite ironic to be accused of precisely what we have been trying hard to avoid. The window was exposed to gravity for a whole week so most of it did drop on the floor!
I requested to talk to a manager, **. On 6/6/2018 another manager called me, Mr. ** (not sure about the last name), and told him in detail everything happened. I am myself a professional and I just wanted to have a fair evaluation. He told me that they could not validate the reason for the damage. I requested a copy of the report and they refused to do so. I wonder why? Also, please note that They were never interested in seeing any photos we took!
And this is my story. I was extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism they demonstrated. I did everything in my power to cooperate and have a fair assessment. Perhaps the reason for the window to break was “an act of God” in which case a replacement is denied. But they showed no effort in understanding what really happened. Renewal by Andersen decided to dismiss any evidence (such as my photos), refused to cooperate and treated the whole story very poorly at the expense of their reputation. Thank you.
Thank you, lulia, for sharing your very detailed response. I will send this account and your information on to our customer care team here at the corporate offices.

I went with Renewal by Andersen because of the positive reviews and the expectation of a no hassle installation and great product. My husband has been very sick and I didn't want to deal with contractor or product problems. We spent over $8k for a slider and triple pane window only to have problems with leaks in the center stationary window. I am on a board at a condo complex and am well known in the community and am always being asked for recommendations, which I give as a unit owner not a board member. I will NOT recommend Renewal by Andersen to anyone and have advised others that are looking to hire them that they should just use regular Windows and a local contractor, saving the extra $s, since I guess there is really no difference in terms of the problems.

It was a big job because it wasn't just popping out the windows and popping them in. I had really old windows, so they had to cut out the frames, put in the new windows, and build new frames around them. But the people that they've sent to do that work have been very good. They solved the problem that they were there for. While they're there, if there's something else that you'd like to have them look at, they look at it. The salesperson from Renewal by Andersen came in and showed me something amazing. The guy put a torch against the window sample and put it down for three minutes, and the other side was still not hot. I said, "Wow." I had some doubt at that point, but once they installed the window, it worked that way. I purchased the top of the line of the window product. The glass is special and it was a customized window. The installation process was amazing and they did a wonderful job. I was very surprised because one piece of my window is about 400 pounds and I had no idea they can do that, but the two guys did it perfectly. They also did a wonderful job cleaning up everything. It was a very clean install. They told me how long it was gonna take for them to build and they did it right on time.
The size of the window that I purchased was big and they overlooked something. When the wind was blowing real hard, the window banged a bit and meant it was not soundproof, and it was annoying. I called them back and they sent the technician back. He said that there was a problem and they needed to install some additional components into the window to make it soundproof. It took some time, but the guy came back and did a perfect install. They did a good job to fix that problem for me and I was happy.
The sales guy sent me the contract and I signed it and sent it back to them, but I wish they would come back to say, "Hey Calvin, how's everything doing," and do a personal follow-up. They did not. If I were the sales guy, I will follow up with my customer and, in that way, I will know if they happen to need some more windows. Renewal by Andersen is not cheap, but they are at the best price so far.
Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts with us, Calvin! I think that an in-person follow up from the sales rep is a great idea! This feedback will definitely be given to management. Thanks again for the feedback! We appreciate it!

I liked Renewal by Anderson’s product the best over that of other window retailers. Even though it was more expensive, I figured it would be better in the long run while I was living there and then it would be better for resale of the house later. I went online and got an appointment scheduled with the reps. They came to the house and went through their spiel. I purchased seven windows. Two of these have a thing that makes the window open to see through it and the rest are sliders. After that, I was in contact through email and via phone call with the main rep that they sent over until the windows were installed. He was knowledgeable and good. He was also there on the day of the installation and he followed up a couple of weeks after everything was done.
When the installers arrived, they walked around the house and made sure they had all the correct windows with them. They told me what they were gonna do and that they were gonna try to do the installation in one day but they might have to do it in two days. They worked with good speed and it took them six hours to install all the windows that I purchased. Also, they were very friendly and good people, and they were even gonna buy me some pizza, which was nice. I would absolutely recommend Renewal by Anderson and for sure that’s because of the installers.
The windows are amazing and they'ire great products. They are insulating well, not just air but also noise. The sound level from outside has drastically been reduced while I’m inside. I definitely went out on a financial limb to get these windows over others, but if I had more disposable income the cost would not have been any issue for me. For what they charged and what they gave me, I’m not regretting my decision to pay that money. I have been telling people that the windows are really good. There have been a couple of times when my neighbors were gawking at our windows and asking me about them. Whenever that happened, I told them about the price point and where I got the windows, and that they're worth the cost.
Thanks for the awesome review, Eric! We are glad that you are satisfied with your experience. And we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience in so much detail! Thanks again!

Just as they were about finished I saw they replaced the plain middle window with natural colored grids & 2 side windows with the dark grids. They replaced the middle window to how it was.
2 weeks ago I get a call from customer service requesting the final payment, told her the salesman said not to pay. Very curtly asked if I thought the salesman would pay for it himself. She would check further. Today, same woman (Christine) left a message payment was still due and courtesy call before being turned over for collection. He answered all our questions and he tried to get us as many deals as he possibly could. We purchased two front sliding doors from them. They told us that they couldn’t get us in for another month or so. Then the installers came and put both doors in. They came in the morning for the installation and they were still here when I got home from work, so it took all day.
The quality of the windows that we received was wonderful. But we had to call because within the first month or so, a few things went wrong. The screens fell off on one side and on the outside, the stripping along the top was falling off. We got a callback from them and we told them what happened. I also sent pictures to them. Then they came out within the next month or so to fix the problems and they hooked these up again, and that worked out. I would recommend Renewal by Andersen to people and tell them that we’re happy with the finished product that we have.

We purchased a new home and these are the windows the builder chose to have installed. Everything with the windows seemed to be going just fine until we started to notice water on the inside window ledge during heavy rainstorms. We reached out to the builder who sent us to the manufacturer. Reached out to the manufacturer and sent them several pictures of the window. After several calls to try to have someone look at the window. After they received my last picture that showed the window had window film on it - just a simple window cling no adhesive was put on the window. I'm told this has voided the warranty. I guess curtains may have voided the warranty too. Ridiculous response from a well known established company. Buy windows somewhere else. Anything to get out of a service call.

I had Renewal by Andersen put new windows in our home. I liked the cost of their products and services so I purchased from them. Their rep gave me all the information and answered all my questions. He touched base with us a couple of times before the installation. During installation, Renewal's guys were here for two days. They worked late as they had a lot of windows to do. Also, they left the house as clean as could be. I was very satisfied with the product and I would recommend Renewal to anybody.

The Renewal by Andersen rep was very thorough and he covered everything. He had samples, answered all my questions, explained how things would go and when it was time for it to happen, he kept in touch by phone. Also, the installers were very professional and polite. I purchased a front door, sidelights and a rear sliding patio door from them. They did their job very well and they made us aware when they were finished and had us check it. Renewal by Andersen exceeded my expectations and I’m very pleased with the company. Give them a call. For sure, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve always had a good experience with Andersen. I purchased a big patio slider and a dozen double-hungs, and the timeline I was given was very accurate. I got an older rep so he knew the business, as opposed to a young one that's just learning. I knew what I wanted, and he selected from the products available to match what I wanted. The quality is top-line and the installation went smooth as silk, though there was one issue that came up when the windows went in. It was cold outside and when it was time to put the screens in during spring, they were a little bit too big for the space. So, I called and they sent somebody out. They agreed to replace them with no charge to me.
Thanks for the great review, Mike! So happy to hear that you are happy with the product and the service! Thanks again for sharing!

I liked the presentation that the young man from Renewal by Andersen gave me and I liked the way the windows are under a longer warranty. And just the whole window situation was better than any other companies that I had investigated, so I went with them. I had the whole downstairs replaced and I had a good purchasing experience. They gave me a date of when they scheduled the replacement and they were prompt. Then they came in and did their thing. One of the reps I worked with was a very nice guy. He was very friendly and when I needed him, he was there. I called him multiple times and if he didn’t answer me back, he certainly got back to me the next morning. So, he was very good. For the installation, they came in the morning and left around 2:00. I would recommend Renewal by Andersen.

Unfortunately this was a horror story from day one with delays poor workmanship lazy work crews and Andersen’s lack of quality control. It was finally made right with the second crew they sent out but the whole experience was such a hassle and time consuming effort that I cannot recommend this company even though we like the windows and believe they will last the twenty years. Andersen says they will. I only because Andersen does not manufacture its own windows. The double pane windows are ordered by Andersen from a subcontractor in Minnesota. You can order your own windows and hire a contractor to install them for half the price we paid to Andersen. So save some money and don’t put your hard earned dollars in Andersen’s pockets. They are a rip off!!!

I was in need of new windows in my home and decided to get an estimate from an individual from Andersen Renewal who was going door-to-door setting up times for someone to meet with homeowners. I told this person that I only wanted an estimate and will not be buying until I am through getting estimates from several other companies. He said this would be no problem and he set up a time for a salesman to come to my house. When the salesman came he made a lot of small talk trying to be like some long lost friend. I didn’t want to be rude but I just wanted an estimate so that I could get on with my day. The salesman began his pitch and went on and on as to why I should not buy vinyl windows. He must have talked for about an hour, and 85% of his sales pitch was talking about how bad vinyl was; the remaining time he talked about how great Andersen Renewal was.
I was beginning to get annoyed with the long sales pitch and asked if I could please just see one of the Andersen windows. The salesman said that he needed to get through his sales pitch first. Finally after another 15 minutes he put the case containing the window on the counter and opened it. (After all that time before he’d show me a window, I felt like there should’ve been a bright light and stars shining around some unusually stupendous casement when he finally showed it; however, it was just a window.) I then said, "Can you please let me know what these would cost." He took a quick look at a couple of my windows and said “we will definitely keep this under $50,000.”
I only have 13 double hung windows in my house so this comment was a big red flag. After much more talking, he said that it will be $20,000 but if I bought right then, it would be $19,000. I told him that as I said before, I am not buying today so I guess that means it would cost me $20,000. He pushed and pushed trying to get me to buy and said that I should at least replace the two bad ones that he looked at. I once again told him that I am not buying at this point and asked that he just give me his estimate in writing. He got upset and said that he would send an estimate in the mail. He never did send one, but it really didn’t matter because I wasn’t about to pay that kind of money. In my opinion Andersen Renewal is grossly overpriced as their product is not worth the money they are asking, and their sales pitch is absurd and long. I did end up getting vinyl windows at less than one third the quote they gave me and I’m very happy with them.

I replaced eight windows and the patio doors. They’re double-hung and insulated. They are very expensive but they are very lovely. I got them from Renewal by Andersen since they were the ones recommended by our building or condo association. The rep I talked to when I purchased them did a very good job of selling and at the time, I was in the mood to buy because everybody else was replacing their windows. During the installation, they said it would be done in one day and it was. But on the day that they first came out, it was about 20 degrees and the man who got there first had to leave. It’d be too cold if he were here, so I never saw the foreman till later. I had a call and he came back. So far, I hardly ever use my new windows. But the one on my bedroom is a little easier to open than the one I had before. And I open the patio doors about 50 times a day, so that is wonderful.
I am glad to hear you are enjoying them so far! Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything you need in the future!

I bought one window from Renewal by Andersen. They have a great reputation and it was one of the approved providers of windows in the condo I live in. I made a phone call and a sales rep came out. She was very thorough. She said someone would call to verify the order the next day. Then, shortly thereafter, someone called to confirm the location. Someone came out and looked at it to make sure it was all written correctly. Then, it was installed and it took them just an hour to do that one window. It was certainly more expensive than I had assumed though. But I would use them again.

Our original windows in the house were all from Renewal by Andersen. I saw an advertisement in the Sunday newspaper that they were having a special and I got a front picture window with the two sides cranked out. First of all, a gentleman had made an appointment to come with me to explain what they would do and how they would do it. Thereafter, the next gentleman that came measured the window. The day the two gentlemen came to put the window in, they constructed it right out in the driveway. It was quite interesting because they put up weighted poles in my living room. Then they had a huge sheet of heavy plastic and blocked off this area where they would be working so that dust and debris wouldn’t go on to the rest of my house. I was pleased with the quality of their work. The installation went very smoothly and they got the window in.
There was a misunderstanding, however, and it was on my part. They were asking what kind of wood I wanted the window would be made from. I had somebody come and the gentleman looked around my house and said, “Well, it looks like you have walnut. It’s a dark wood.” He asked me if I wanted walnut and I told him that that would be fine as I wanted the windows to match. But when the window was completed, there was no stain on it.
One of the window people said that the window was made out of walnut wood and that I had to stain it. So what I should have done was to have pine because it would have been a less expensive wood and still it would have stain. He said they had a gentleman that would come out and stain it for me but I said I could handle that. But as it turned out, I hired it done. Also, the gentleman that did the staining was a friend of my son, so I felt comfortable with him. That friend does a lot of windows and he said the window by Andersen was of really nice quality
My only bad experience was this window was put in on the 20th, and I came home on Christmas afternoon and I could see my curtain blowing. I went over there and there was a huge crack in one side window and it went all the way through, so I was losing heat out of that. I was a little worried if they were gonna be able to do the window and how much heat I was gonna lose when they took the original window out and put it in. So I found some cardboard and taped over it although I knew that wasn’t gonna work very long. Christmas was on a Monday, so I called on a Tuesday and they weren’t back from the holiday.
When I finally talked with them, the rep said they couldn't come until the 27th of January and that they don’t send people out unless there are two jobs in the same area. But it needed to be done as it was unacceptable. So my kids came over and they padded up the window better and put some weather stripping around it. Although I wasn’t really happy about that, that helped prevent the loss of heat. My son was looking from the side at the window and he said the reason why it cracked was because up at the top, it was very close to the back of the house or to the back of the window. The window came down at an angle so it was farther away at the bottom of the frame than it was at the top. My son said there was a lot of tension on that and probably with the cold weather, it just cracked.
I had to wait until January although the Andersen team came a week earlier. It was from December 25th to January 20th that they came back and a gentleman repaired the window. He said the new one will be straight. He added some shins in there to give it room to contract and expand a bit. He looked at the other side window which was straight but he said he was gonna put the shins in anyway to give it a little room to breathe and move. So, I was happy about that then. But overall, it was a $4,800 job even though it was all on sale. We had some flaws along the way but other than the big crack, I'm still very satisfied with Renewal by Andersen.

Hearing about Renewal by Andersen through good advertisement has helped when I chose them for a front door purchase. I also like their professional installation. They gave me a timeline for how long the door replacement would take and it really extended past that. It took a couple of weeks longer but I really didn't care that much on that. Still, communication about the readiness of the door could have been improved. If they were gonna be delayed, I wish I would have been informed of that.
I felt like the sales person wanted to get the sale and then after that, it was not as easy to get information. Despite that, once the installers came by, I was really happy. They did a very professional job, they were very nice and the door was installed really well. However, I would like to make a request. I have Andersen windows in my home and I have a sliding glass door. And I wanted to hire them to do more work but they could not do that. That for me was a disappointment because I would have really liked to pay somebody to install the sliding doors that I recently purchased.
I also have a couple of questions regarding the door that I purchased from Renewal by Andersen and the follow-up is not that great. I elected to paint the door myself and I wanted to know what material goes around the glass part of the door so I'd know what paint to purchase if it needs to be primed. I flat out disliked the color, so if that color cannot be painted over, I need to know what options I have to get that changed as it does not match my house. And again, the salesman didn't care.

The consultant from Renewal by Andersen came over and was able to explain to us very briefly the kind of product that we were going to get. We liked the way he explained it to us and that made us decide that it was the right product to get. We considered other brands, but we went with the quality of the materials that Renewal is using. That was one of the points that we were really considering, something that's reliable, and we were hoping that the company is also reliable that if I have a problem in the future, they will be able to service me and guarantee the product that they are using.
The time frame they provided to complete the installation was accurate. The people that installed the window and the patchy door were really professional and knew what they were doing. They laid out the coverings on the floor so that when they were done, everything was clean. They removed everything that they used and cleaned up the places where they were working. The quality of the replacement windows was good. It has a good sound barrier. I still stay in the place where they worked in because I have to do painting and the sound is not too much in the inside, so it was good and as if it was done the same windows that I had before. I would recommend Renewal by Andersen. As matter of fact, I had recommended them to one of the friends that I know.

He told me that the price was the price and that they didn’t haggle. He also said that if I signed up that day, I’d get an additional discount. I paid right away and the other half of the price is due in December of 2019.
I purchased the double-hung windows and the installers showed up on time to put them up. They did a fantastic job. They said the installation might take a day and a half but the installers got done in one day. They also took off some fixtures and blinds that were a bit higher that I couldn’t get to and I appreciated that. Then they put them back. They were very polite and professional, too. We had to have our front window of the house replaced because it was the original window when the house was built 51 years ago. The wood was rotting on the outside. We went with a new bow window from Renewal by Andersen and it's wonderful. I've always seen the commercials and we would rather go with Renewal by Andersen than Evergreen or any other competitor. Renewal has a better name and quality. However, the guy that was gonna come out to do the measurements never showed up. Also, when I tried calling the customer service number, I never got a hold of anybody that day and kept getting the recording. I have a part-time job and I was calling them from work. I was getting very frustrated because no one was answering my calls and letting me know why the guy never showed up. Someone called me the next day and they scheduled someone to come out right away the following Tuesday.
When the man came out, he apologized. He said that they were in the process of replacing their software program and it never showed up on their schedule that they were supposed to come out. The guy who came out to do the measurements and the crew that they sent out to put in the window were fantastic. Within five hours, they were done with everything. They also cleaned up everything and took away. It was in the middle of December but the weather cooperated. It was a beautiful day that Saturday and everything worked out well. We're very satisfied. I'm especially happy with it because now, I have three of our front windows opened up. I can get fresh air in the house without too much of a problem. My brother-in-law bought some Andersen windows and put them in himself. They were great, so I figured I'd get Andersen windows as well. I had my windows put in and they were outstanding. I also had my windows put in in the front door and back door or storm door and everything was great. There were two different times for the installation but each time, they took just one day for each contract. I did it when I had the money. I had the windows put in then the doors. A rep came, measured, and gave me a date. Then the others came in and they were great too. The two fellas were outstanding, courteous, and cleaned up. I had the same guys put in my windows as my doors, and everything went smoothly.
The quality of the windows and doors are top of the line. The only thing I had to call Andersen on was when the sliding door wasn't catching. I told their rep and the rep got a hold of someone. All it took was one little adjustment then it was no problem. I also had another little thing on the front porch. My caulking on the door around it was a different color. I called Andersen about that too and they came and remedied the whole thing. They put a whole new section in there it matched the caulking. Everything went great.

I was looking for the composite windows specifically. I didn't want vinyl anymore because I had it and I like the composite idea better than the fiberglass, and Renewal by Andersen is the only one that has it. The salesman was good. I wasn't high pressured by any means. I didn't feel like he tried and got me at the end by offering a little more of a discount if I have ordered right then. Also, he knew what he was talking about. I like that he had the samples there to look at and I'm sure they were the best of the best and were perfectly functioning.
I didn't like the pricing though. I didn't do enough research on exactly how much it would cost because they were such a wide range and I didn't know what I was gonna get. I had ballparks very close to the price that I was given but then, a thousand or two is what I thought it would cost but it wasn't. They said the price they gave me was their best price. I didn't like to negotiate. I signed on the dotted line and got the windows. As I started more and more research and as I'm looking now, I way overpaid for them even though the windows are of good quality.
I got 10 windows from Renewal by Andersen and they told me that it would take four to six weeks for the windows to be replaced. My wife was there during the installation and she has no complaints at all. She said it was easy. It only took one day for the installers to install the windows. Unfortunately, I just sold the house last week, but I would love to rip the windows out and take it because they're solid and much better than what I had in my new house wherein I immediately noticed the sound and the heat transfer, which was important to me because I've seen a lot of heat through the windows. I was very happy with the windows from Renewal by Andersen.

It seemed like it was gonna be a quality installation with Renewal by Andersen and I had experience with their products in the past. We had a sales representative come out, make their pitch and we decided to go with the windows. Shortly after that, another gentleman came out and did the detailed estimate. Then, we had the three installers come out. Everybody seemed very professional and down-to-earth. There was no hard sale, and the installers were excellent. There were things in the house which were not necessarily level. The installers were able to level everything out and make it look like was even wrong inside or out. They did an excellent job.
We got the double hung windows and the windows don't lock partly open, which was one of the things that we were hoping for. We have looked at the windows a couple of times, and there was nothing there to lock them. It's what we believe the way we should have received it and maybe they didn’t get put on or missing something. I was gonna contact the sales person and find out about it, but I just haven't gotten around to it. It was not a huge deal, but in the summer time, that was inconvenient. The cost was reasonable and overall, the product was very good but for what I spent, I might have been able to get a better install from another company.

I had damage to the sills and a little bit of damage to the mullions. The weather sealing was failing too so I needed a full window replacement. However, the company that provided the old window went out of business and any repair parts were unavailable. We had a sales rep come out who impressed us the product. Then, we had a window guy come out to double check the measurements and got a double-hung from Renewal by Andersen. But we had a one-week slippage from the original schedule because it was downpour. And unfortunately, the day that the replacement was done was the coldest day of the year. It was below zero and with two guys working on this huge window open to the outside in my house, we were freezing. But things went smoothly. They did do the job within the time frame that they said it would take. However, I had to have them come back and fix a piece of siding that was not properly nailed in place.
Other than that, I like how the windows are easy to clean and that they open and close smoothly. And overall, I’m pretty well satisfied with Renewal by Andersen. The one drawback that was a major concern is the price. They are substantially more expensive than some of the competitors. But what sold me is the fact that I got a discounted price and the quality of the manufacturer. So for those who'd ask about Renewal by Andersen, I'd say wait for a sale and make sure to do it early in the season.

We had a little bit of a snag at the start, but Renewal sent a slightly more talented team that came out and they handled everything very professionally. They were very conscientious about my concerns and their clean-up was superb. They were upfront about everything and quite prompt in getting it finished. So, it was a very good experience. Cost-wise, the windows were pricey but I’m pleased with the quality and it will help the resale value of my house when that time comes. Also, those windows are helping my heating and cooling bills. I shop carefully and Renewal was at the top level. That was the quality I expected to pay for. They are worth the price and I recommend them.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Janet! Providing first class customer service is most important to us so we love to hear how we did! Pleased to hear that you are pleased! Thanks again!

I looked at two different manufacturers, Renewal by Andersen and Pella. I liked that the Andersen windows were made of rigid Fibrex material and not to mention the 20-year transferable warranty. I replaced all of the windows in the second story of my home plus two of the windows downstairs. Andersen's rep was awesome too. He was very clear about everything and all seemed accurate. I appreciate the straightforward approach as that's very important to me. He had all the information on the windows. He brought specific demo windows with him, put on a good show and explained to me just how well his windows were. It was just that the windows were a little pricey.
Andersen was pretty accurate with the timeline and they even scheduled it between Christmas and New Year’s. The installers were very professional too. The one thing they kept thanking me for was the heater. I was surprised they didn’t have one with them. They would come down and sit in front of that heater and warm up for a while and then, they go back out not very cold and continue working.
I watched them briefly while they removed a window and the prep part and insulators around the windows. I wanted extra protection around those windows with the minimal expanding spray foam and silicone. They finished the job on schedule just like they said they would. I watched through every room and looked for obvious problems and debris. They left nothing behind and they cleaned up after themselves. It was as if they weren’t even on site and that to me was impressive. They did a very good job.
I opened all the windows up and closed them and everything seems to be working. There was one little issue that I have with one of the windows though. I noticed when everything was cool down that there was a little bit of moisture on the inside corner of a window. Other than that, I’m very happy with the windows. They tend to keep the heat in and the cold out during the winter and vice versa during the summer. The bedrooms are also much more comfortable now the windows have been replaced.

Our windows fogged up between the panes within the first 5 years. We did not realize they were under warranty until now. We contacted Andersen and were offered a full price quote on replacements. That's terrible customer service and why would anyone want windows from them after that? Do yourself a favor and buy Pella windows. Andersen is not a reputable company and the manager namely Molly was useless and condescending!

Salesperson came out with a male trainee, he did his spiel for an hour plus. First ten mins into his speech, the new trainee fell asleep on the couch for 30 mins until the older guy made him go to the truck and sleep, really professional and such a motivated individual wouldn't you think? Haha. Older guy lifts up a huge black suitcase on my new couch. At first I was shocked, I wouldn't do that but didn't say anything. After we were talked into 2 windows were almost 6 grand and I signed the contract I looked at my couch and 3 black tar spots and gray dirt dust all over it where he and the trainee were sitting. I flipped out. Had to steam clean it.
Such professionalism too that the contract misspelled my first and last name and on my husband last name. Really? Downloaded and printed my cancellation form and you have to fax to cancel. You cannot call. The fax number is wrong. Probably a ploy so you cannot cancel and be stuck to pay it all. Called 4 times different phone numbers. No one really in charge! Went to lawyer on this! Called and left 4 message that I refaxed to someone else since number on contract is wrong. Never and wouldn't call us back to confirm the cancellation. Lol. All the way around are not doing a job right, rip off prices. Found same windows install at Window Resources. Saved 5 grand! Unprofessional, lied, and cannot get to the right people. Beware! Glad I came to my senses! Lol. Rated zero but had to give one star.

Renewal by Andersen in Denver CO - I have been trying to help my Mom with her Andersen order. She ordered a window and a patio door from them, then hoped to cancel one of those. She called and had an awful time reaching anyone in person. When she left messages, no one called her back. I tried, and had the same experience, I had to make multiple calls, all over the place, and lots of emails, just to get their "customer care specialist" to call the customer. They have multiple departments don't coordinate well between them. They completely failed to provide customer service. Their product is overpriced, but I hoped they would provide competent service to compensate for the high price. As the customer's adult daughter, I have had to work very hard to get this company to communicate with their customer. They have been a great disappointment. Don't go with Renewal by Andersen.

A representative came to my door and knocked incessantly until I answered. He was egging on my dog through the window so that my dog wouldn't stop barking. I have health issues and am pregnant and was enjoying a much needed Sunday afternoon nap. When I answered the door and told him, "No. Whatever service you are selling, I don't want it. I was asleep. Just... No." The guy called me a "**" then turned and walked away. I told him that was unacceptable and who exactly was he with because I was calling his boss. He wouldn't tell me and actually then ran away from my house. He left a note on the neighbor's door and I recognized the handout and name so I knew it was him. Calling Andersen tomorrow. The guy should be fired because: Let me get this straight. These people come to my house, knock on my door, then call me names with obscenities attached? Double NO for these jerks.

Andersen was a little bit more expensive than other brands but we chose to go with them for its durability. It also seemed that the quality of the product, overall, was better than the competition. The salesperson was very knowledgeable too. It was not high pressure and he talked with us, not at us. We recommended him to close friends of ours and they ended up buying windows for their home through Andersen as well. That was how much we liked him in terms of how he was interacting with us. It was a good experience.
The installation was fine too. Andersen said it may take two days to do but they were able to get it done in a day. The guys were very courteous in terms of not getting anything dirty and laying things down. They were informative. If something was not right, they fixed it. However, there were a couple of times after they were done that a couple of pieces of vinyl or aluminum was left in the grass that we had to pick up. Other than that, we were very satisfied.
We've had vinyl windows before and this was more of an upscale look for the house and better for resell value as well. We had them done on our second floor and then the kitchen. Majority of the windows were double-hung and there were mono-paned windows as well that had no slider and then a pull-out window in our kitchen. If you take a look at the second floor alone, it is much cooler than it was in the summertime with the old windows. In the winter time, I noticed a huge difference in terms of warmth. They're performing very well and they're good quality windows. I got what I paid for.
Thanks for sharing, James! Other than the pieces of scraps that were left in your lawn, we are happy you had a positive experience! On behalf of the install team, I am sorry that scraps were left in your yard - definitely unacceptable. Thanks for being understanding! We hope you are still enjoying your new windows!

I purchased four 3 ft x 4 ft double hung windows without grills and one 6 ft x 6 ft picture window with safety glass (no grill). The initial verbal quote was approximately $8,700. After the final measurements were made, I was told that the extra stucco work to the exterior would be an additional $600 bringing to total contracted cost up to approximately $9,300. I put a $1,000. deposit on my credit card and signed the agreement.
Imagine my surprise when I later found out that a change order was put through after the fact for an additional $1,600! I did not sign the change order. In fact, the accounting department admitted that it wasn't my signature on the change order which was generated several weeks after the contract was signed and almost a month before the installation date. I tried resolving the dispute with the local Renewal by Andersen office to no avail. I tried going through the financial company that financed the transaction on behalf of Renewal by Andersen, also without success.
The bottom line is that I was told it was not the financial institution's responsibility to verify authenticity of signatures on change orders and I should file a police report. The financial institution just added it to my credit line. In addition, Renewal by Andersen failed to pull the required building permit. My contract said it wasn't needed. I was fined $250 by the City for not having a permit.
After I obtained the building permit, I scheduled an inspection. It was a good thing I did. I didn't think the lathing had been done properly around the picture window and the inspector confirmed that it had to be redone. If the inspector hadn't stopped the work for lack of permit I never would have known. Also, I have never received the final paperwork and warranty information. Found out that by getting the permit myself, I became the "General Contractor" and was now responsible for the quality of the work and any injuries that may have been suffered by the workers.
The widow quality is great but check out the local office thoroughly before buying. My contract showed that the stucco was included in the $9,300. Insist that you get an itemized quote with all charges and not a lump sum total. The contract included a schedule of payments totaling $9,300 including installation and stucco work. Have never been able to get a breakdown of what the extra $1,600 was for. Only an offer to install another window at no additional charge. I don't need another window.
Joan: I am sorry to hear about your experience and your frustrations, and want to look into this for you. Would you be so kind as to either message or email me (megan at andersencorp dot com) with your contact information (including ZIP), and I will investigate directly. Thank you!

I’ve done some research and the customer satisfaction for Renewal by Andersen was high. They have a good reputation and the product itself was a very good quality. I've had a good interaction with their reps and our salesperson was very thorough. He gave us a lot of options. We purchased a door wall from them and it's like a sliding door. It was a positive experience. We’ve had a lot of different contractors in our house before and these guys from Renewal by Andersen were great. Their work was top-notch and they completed the job within the timeline that they gave. They also cleaned up after themselves and were very efficient. It was the best experience we’ve had somebody working in the house.
I feel good about their cost. The whole thing was on the pricier side of options in general. If we went over to Lowe’s and got something ourselves, we could’ve spent a lot less, but for what we got from Andersen, it was a good value. I would recommend them to people who have it in their budget. Also, if people have a job that they want to be done and done right, and they don’t wanna have to worry about it, I will tell them about Renewal by Andersen as well.
Thanks for the great review, Mike! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as well as you recommending us to others! Thanks again!

We have Marvin’s in all the other windows. We had chosen Marvin over Renewal by Andersen because we have a sliding window. And we liked the Marvin better when we put those in. Renewal by Andersen was updating their windows at that time. So, we've replaced all the other windows and we’ve been doing things in bits and pieces. This is the last bit we had and I bought a built-in Marvin and Renewal by Andersen. I preferred the Renewal by Andersen window now that we did their sliding window and I went with them because their price was better too.
Their reps were all professional and they did a great job. We were given a timeIine and I was shocked because they did it on January 2nd. It was right after the holidays and we had gotten a foot of snow, yet they still came out. The quality of the windows was as good or even better than the Marvin that I put in. For the sliders that we got, I would tell my friends to use the Renewal by Andersen windows over the Marvin windows.
Hi Linda: We're happy to hear you like your gliding windows! We think they look and work pretty great, too :-)

I used to be in real estate and I have a degree in architecture. I’m building materials-savvy, too and I wanted something that was name-brand, so I went with Renewal by Andersen. Their windows are expensive and rather than going with a cheaper rate to hurry up and get windows put in, we took them by project. We did the front first, and then the different sections little by little. I’m really pleased that we decided to go that route. We also had a very good relationship with their two sales reps. Each person we dealt with has their different styles and they were understanding and helpful. Also, the timeline they gave me was okay because I had taken time to come up with the money in dealing with the new payment.
In addition, the installation went pretty well. We did the windows in the front of the house on the first floor and the window above the entry door because it’s a two-story foyer. The last thing we put was a sunroom on which has 12 windows. When we add the cost up, it would’ve been about $50,000 or more, but I am extremely pleased with my windows. They are tight and well-constructed. We’ve gotten some solicitations from Pella Windows because they have a brand that’s similar to Renewal by Andersen, but then I’ve been so pleased with Renewal by Andersen that I didn’t wanna switch. We simply gotta lay out one or two more sections to do and then we’ll be complete.
Thanks for the great review, Don! So great to hear that we have the loyal support of someone who is well versed in the industry! Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

My father owns a sliding door by Renewal by Andersen. It's one of the best and smoothest sliding doors I've ever seen. I got three quotes and Andersen's price was the most reasonable and the lowest. I bought two sliders from them. They gave me an accurate timeline and how long the installation would take was accurate, too.
The rep from Renewal by Andersen was very helpful, thorough and I liked his presentation. He drove from the east side of town and stayed for a very long time. I got the email on the price and I paid for the sliders. I was under the understanding that he would be here during the installation, but I never heard from him ever again. There was no follow up and I really wish he was here because I had some issues with the installation.
The installers were fabulous and very professional, but the installation was one of the coldest days of the year. I called a day or two in advance to cancel and change the installation because I didn’t want them installed in that cold of weather and I was given a hard time by the installation appointment. They said the installers were already on their way. I was upset that they were installing my sliders and very worried about the installation in that type of weather.
After the installers started, I told them my concern and they said they tried to cancel too, but the installation scheduling wouldn’t let them cancel. Had they known that I wanted to cancel, they would have definitely been able to do it. They also said they had several cancellations that day because of the cold and the customers were calling, but yet, I was not able to cancel. The installers were probably going numb during their installation and also, I needed to pay to heat my house while the two sliders were being installed, so I'm not happy with all of that.
Also, had the salesman been here, maybe he could have solved the problem or even called us. He was really good at selling the product, but I didn't get customer support from him. Other than that, the sliders were installed within a month which was reasonable and accurate, based on the timeline they gave me. The product is beautiful and I love it. I'm happy with my experience and I would really recommend Renewal by Andersen to others.
Chris - sorry to hear that we had to install your windows on such a cold day! But we are so glad that you love the finished product. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us as it will help us become better in the future. Thanks for the review!

I had Renewal by Andersen install all my windows. The cost was a little steep but the windows are of good quality. The rep was very polite, like the men who worked on the windows. They answered my questions and explained things to me. Also, they did the work according to the timeline that they gave me. However, when I call them, I go through too many different numbers and they tell me to call this and that. Still, the crew worked fast. It was winter time and I told one of my friends that they were coming. That friend asked, "At this time and when it's so cold?" I said the same thing as well. But when they came and they did the work, it wasn't a problem at all. I was downstairs cooking and they were upstairs putting on windows.
The installation went fine but I wasn't used to having the kind of windows that they installed. So I had to call one day and let them know that I couldn't get the window opened because I forgot. Nevertheless, someone came and fixed it. Some time thereafter, I had another experience with one of the screens. I must have pushed the wrong thing and the screen was about to fall off outside so, I had to ask someone to catch it. I called Renewal by Andersen and let them know that the screen came off and I couldn't get it in. The lady rep sent me a video of how to do it. However, my husband couldn't get to it. So I told him to leave the screen there instead of breaking it more. It was sitting for a while until last week when my son came and then I told him about it. He put it right there and then.

Renewal by Andersen did a previous install for my house and I like the reputation of the brand. Most recently, I got a bay window and a three-panel window from them. When I bought the house, we started replacing windows and this was the last we had to do. Andersen's rep understood his products well. He knew the differences between all the options and he was able to explain them. The cost was significantly higher than if I had gone to a regular retail place but I knew that they were gonna do a good job, plus they offered 0% financing. So, it was a trade-off. Also, I was gonna have a good product and a warranty from the manufacturer.
The installation timeline was spot on but it was the worst day of the year to do it. It was the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day and the wind chill was about negative 20 but the installers draped the area with plastic inside and out and were able to do it. We had an issue with the windows themselves though and it took Andersen about four months to come out and fix it. Part of that was scheduling conflicts. They also didn’t offer a call the day before to remind me of the appointment. I had written the appointment down for Tuesday and the guy called me on Monday saying that they were here. So, I left work to let them in. They were able to fix the issue, and I would definitely recommend Renewal by Andersen.

He did the whole demo while the kids were with us and did a good job interacting with them. Both of my kids were under three and he was showing them too and he let them play with his tools.
Also, Renewal by Andersen gave us a timeline of how long the replacement would take. It was quick and all that they had to do was wait for the stock to come in. They were on time with installing the windows and it was done as quickly as possible. All in all, the installation took about six to eight hours. They cleaned up everything afterward and vacuumed, so everything was put right back in place. I'm satisfied with the quality of the work and of the windows.
Everything is all in one. I didn’t have to go and hire anybody else to do any window treatments. I got everything done with the window treatment, the wood, the installation, and the painting that came afterward. I've searched other windows as well and for the quality of the windows I got, the cost was fair and in line with the other window companies. The sales rep explained the product well and he had an Air Force background which was impressive. The installers were very timely and the installation itself went very quickly. I’ve had Renewal by Andersen before as my retailer and I've known the quality of their products, so I chose them again when I bought the door for my house. I've had the door for six months, but within a month after they installed it, the lock was bent and didn't work. Renewal told me to buy a replacement key and I did, but this key didn’t work too. It took them almost six months to get the door to lock. That was disappointing because I really liked the product but they had a lousy follow-through.
They couldn't schedule me for a service call for a month and they wouldn't put me on priority. When they finally scheduled me, I took a day off from work and stayed home to be there, but they came with the wrong parts. Then they had to reschedule me another month out and it was nice that they brought the right parts this time. But the two days of work to fix the door lock, plus the day that I had the door installed, were not exactly customer service, even though they got the issue taken care of and I’m very happy that the lock has been working for two days now.
The reps were fine as long as people didn’t mind having to wait a month for them to schedule a service call to fix a problem. Also, the sales guy that came out was fabulous. I almost bought a whole set of windows from him as well because he did a terrific job of explaining the products and their advantages, but now I’m way glad I didn’t because that could have been another problem. I wouldn’t advise anybody to go with Renewal.

Renewal by Andersen put in a slider for me and that was great. The next time, they came to give us a price on a bay window, but it was too expensive for us at that time. When we went to Home Depot, we saw the Andersen doors but we weren’t sure if these were winterized where we live in New Hampshire. So, we called Renewal and the rep that came by was phenomenal and explained everything up to the core of how the door was built.
We ordered the door and two people came to install it. They were very experienced and professional, and they knew what they were doing. It was freezing outside and it took them a couple of hours to do the installation, but they did a phenomenal job considering the elements outside. Then they showed me all the ins-and-outs, including how to do the locks. They even showed me how to take the door apart to paint it because we got the wood inside instead of the vinyl. The door went up and it was almost like a suction when they closed it so that it was all sealed and I wasn’t losing any heat. All in all, we had a great experience with them. I liked the product that Renewal by Andersen offered and they gave me the opportunity to get financing for my windows. The initial representative showed up and she did a preliminary survey of the windows that were needed. She discussed the product line that they offered, and we discussed the contract and financing. Once that was done, it took a few weeks for them to come out with an outside installer representative who did the final measurements, and a few weeks after they came in to install the windows. The installation crew took care of the whole job in one afternoon. They did a phenomenal job and were very clean, professional and efficient. I had the opportunity to keep an eye on them as they were installing the windows and I was happy with the quality of work they provided.
The whole process took about two months and I expected that because of the time of year it was, and also, the windows I had from them were all special ordered as they were all customed to my house. We ordered 18 windows and we would’ve had another one, but they didn’t offer egress windows, so we decided to go with a different company for that. Nevertheless, I’m generally happy with the windows from Renewal by Andersen and I already recommended them for another job.
Thanks for the great review, Noel! We love hearing from our customers so thank you for taking the time to share! We appreciate your business and you recommending us to others!

When I took a home improvement course at a local vocational school, both guys that were doing it, one was a plumber and the other one was a carpenter, recommended Andersen windows. One of the guys that I talked to said that he put Andersen windows in for 20 years and he never had to replace one. He isn't somebody who worked for Andersen but somebody that buys them and installs them as part of his business, and that was a big selling point for me.
The sales rep that I worked with from Renewal by Andersen was informative. He told me exactly what was gonna happen and gave me a really good price. They were having a special and he searched and got me an even better special. I got a bay window from them and got all my downstairs windows done. He told me that the window replacement would be a one-day job and it was. I'm very happy with them. The installation crew did eight windows and they were finished in six hours. They also had to replace the sills on a couple of them. These guys were in and out, and when they left, there was not a speck of dirt on the ground.
The windows that I had in here before were old and there was just a breeze coming through the house. I live in Massachusetts and in winter or summer, the heating and cooling cost was just going to the roof. But it was a very good investment. When the installers pulled the old windows out, there was no insulation in here. They told me how they were gonna re-insulate them, and it was all part of the price. They took out the old insulation, put in a new one and sealed them up. They told me not to open or close them for 24 hours and to wait for everything to settle in. The guy gave me his own cell phone number and said that I can call him if there were any problems at all.
The windows work like a charm. Money-wise, the deal was fantastic especially since I got the zero interest for 12 months, and it was a big deciding factor saving all the interest money. I make a payment every single month and I'm almost paid up. Renewal by Andersen was on path with some of the other high-profile windows and the zero interest thing pushed me over. And so that was the way I wanted to go. If a family member is looking into services from Renewal by Andersen, I will tell them that they can't beat its price and quality.
Brian - thank you for taking the time to share! We love hearing from our customers so that we can continue to provide the best service and product possible! Thank you for choosing Renewal by Andersen and telling others to do the same!

This is a followup to an earlier review of the design consultant/sales associate, JC **, whose performance was exemplary and who I gave a 5-star rating. The new doors and their installation were top notch, as was the efficient demolition and removal of the old doors and refuse from the job site. The only complaint I had was an apparent breakdown in communication between the job schedulers and the workman. Although I provided explicit instructions regarding security protocol at the residential complex at which the installation was performed, specifically, never leaving the security gate open or unlocked while unattended, the information was either not communicated to the workman or simply ignored.
Particularly troubling was the fact that they twice tied the gate open after vigilant residents of the complex had closed it. To the company's credit, they offered to reimburse me in full for potential monetary penalties levied by my condo association for the violation. Fortunately for both parties, that proved unnecessary as the association, though clearly stating that I am ultimately responsible for the actions or inaction of contractors that I hire, graciously decided to waive the penalty by virtue of the fact that this was my first offense. Were it not for this unfortunate event, I would have given the installation crew a 5-star performance rating.
Thanks for sharing this experience, Michael! Sorry you about this experience with the gate but we are relieved to hear that it got resolved at no charge to you. Thanks again for sharing! Enjoy your new doors!

We had Renewal by Andersen install our front picture window. My old one was shot. I've put in windows myself before but this one was a big job for one guy to do and I couldn’t expect my wife to help me with that. I knew Renewal by Andersen's name and that they do good work. Then there was a cross factor, so we did financing. Andersen was also quick. Once I did the order, we had the window installed in three and a half weeks. I looked into Feldo but I didn't feel like waiting for them since they have a long timeframe.
The installation went well and the clean-up was good. I was given a three-hour timeframe for the installation and they were able to do that within that timeframe. One guy didn't speak good English and another didn't speak English at all but they weren't overbearing and they did their job. Andersen's customer service has also been fine. We're satisfied with the window. We're happy it was done and it's a lot better. Still, Renewal by Andersen might wanna lower their prices to be a little more competitive. I looked at how much the windows would cost if I bought it myself from Menards or Home Depot and theirs was pricier. Also, you have to pay for the labor.
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, Edward! We are so pleased that you ended up choosing Renewal by Andersen! Enjoy your new picture window! Thanks again!

I wanted quality windows and Renewal by Andersen's reps were easy to work with, so I went with them. I knew that the expense was greater, which is a bit of a challenge in life today, but I like working with GreenSky to pay the windows off and with no interest because I plan on paying it off within two years. That’s working really well for me. I also had a great interaction with the rep I worked with. He was very personable and I went over everything with him. He came up from the eastern part of the state and we had a good meeting. I requested that they not do the windows right away because I was away, and I had them done at a time when I wanted the installation done.
The installers were efficient, did a good job, and cleaned up well. I had six windows put in and they fit in very perfectly. They were done in a day and afterwards, the guy that did the installation went around with me and showed me how to tip and remove the windows, for when I need to remove the screens. I have not washed them yet and I’ve got to try to remember exactly how to do some of that stuff, but they will come back.
So far, I love the windows. But I didn’t remember that I have the crossbars on them. I have six-over-six windows and I left the inside to be painted myself, not realizing that those crossbars didn’t pop out like my old windows. The six windows are natural wood and they don’t fit in with the house and I’ve gotta stain them all myself. So, it’s gonna be a challenge that I’ve not wanted to handle yet. But other than that, everybody at Renewal by Andersen was very thorough with me, considerate, and walked me through the process.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Donna - we really appreciate it! We are thrilled to hear that you had a overall positive experience with us! Thanks again!

I knew Renewal by Andersen and their renewal line and it seemed like the place to start. The windows I replaced were Andersen's too, so I chose them. We replaced standard windows and it took two months from start to finish. The estimator and the measure guy, as well as those who installed it, were excellent. The final product turned out very good and as expected. However, it was more expensive than I would have thought and hoped. Nonetheless, I would tell my friends that they should consider Renewal by Andersen. It's very well buttoned-down operation.

I had three custom windows ordered with Andersen. They came out and measured for the windows. On the day of installation they removed the three windows replacing two of them and discovering the third window was the wrong size. They temporarily put in the new window in box didn’t so that I would have a window as my old one had already been removed prior to the discovery. I was told it would take two weeks to get the new window replacement. After two weeks I made several calls as I have not heard from them yet. I finally got a hold of someone and they left me a message that it would be another two weeks before I would see the window. At this point I’m dealing with the frustration of not being able to get this done after going through this process for two months. Considering they charge a premium for their windows it’s very disappointing that quality of service I am receiving.

We heard a lot of good things about Renewal by Andersen so we purchased some windows and sliding deck doors from them. Their rep was very professional and he did not pressure us so we were very pleased with him. The time frame worked out fine. We had the windows done in February so we weren’t opening too many windows. But now with this time of weather, I’m noticing that some of the windows, when I push them up, slide half-way back down. I don’t know what the cause of that is.
We got ahold of the finance company, GreenSky and they were not very easy to work with. We were able to get some money that we were gonna offer to pay it off if they could negotiate a little bit but they were not willing to in any way, shape or form. We’ll have to wait for two years and pay one day before the due. So we were surprised. We thought that they would be willing to get paid now instead of having to wait. Also there were other places in the area that offered much less expensive whole house things. But the quality of the products we got from Andersen are fantastic, except that we already had a squirrel chew through the screen of our deck door. I would go with Andersen again.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Bill! We are so pleased to hear that you were pleased with us and would choose to get Renewal by Andersen windows again! Thanks for sharing!

We wanted to make an investment in the house so we chose Renewal by Andersen. They have different quality product than what’s out there. We were coming from very terrible windows so we wanted a big improvement. The salesman was very informative, calm and patient. We felt very comfortable and confident that it was the right product for us. A lot of it had to do with his delivery. It didn’t feel like a hard sell pitch. Clearly he was very passionate about the product and gave us great facts about it and gave us time to think it through, which was really helpful, and we didn’t feel that way at all with the other products. Aside from how the windows looked, the efficiency and the craftsmanship of the windows were important to us.
The installation was amazing. I walked around with my mouth agape the whole day. They came here promptly and they were fast but I could tell they were doing it well. I still can't believe they could do that. When I asked questions, they were very quick to answer them and take the time to do that. They were very respectful of the house and of us being there. It was important to us as it didn’t feel like they were invading the house.
After the installation, I noticed a significant difference in the heating and cooling of the house. We have a split-level home so we could never get the top floor cool enough in the summer and warm enough in the winter. And now it's much more even across the house and we haven’t even changed anything that has to do with the heating and cooling. Also from a sound perspective, we can still hear birds chirping in the morning but we’re not woken up by sirens, alarms, traffic, etc. My son sleeps better through the night.

All our other windows are Andersen's and I would always recommend Andersen windows as well. This time, we got a big slider window in the front. We had a bowl window before but when we talked to the gentleman, he suggested the slider one. It's a little bigger than the one we had but it lets in a lot more light and it looks a lot bigger. They were going to install it in December and I thought it would be so cold. But they said it would be in and out 20 minutes tops, and it was. We were not hanging around with a big hole in our house. They were spot on in whatever they told us and everybody we worked with at Renewal by Andersen was really great. They were always professional and polite. We love our big new window. They had shown us how you can’t feel heat or cold through the window and it's absolutely true.

Also, the representatives were very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. They cleaned up, didn't leave any debris, and did everything right with no dilly-dally. I've been very pleased with Andersen and I would definitely recommend them without any hesitation. Everyone who has seen my windows said, "Wow, these are really nice." We were down at a fair in Massachusetts and a representative from Renewal by Andersen was there. I gave him our information because our windows were old and the lady called to schedule the appointment. A gentleman came, talked to us and showed us the different windows and the quality and the thickness made a big difference in our choice. After looking at all the different brands and the one advertised on television with the guy who represents the Red Sox, I mentioned it to Kevin, the sales rep, and he told me there was no deal. I discussed it with my husband and we decided to go with Andersen.
I ordered double-hung windows and they installed them during the fall season and it was cold so I never bothered to pull them down. When summer came, I went to pull the windows down and I couldn’t because there was nothing in it to reach out to pull down on. So, I called them and I told them I would not order double-hung windows if I can’t pull them down. I would have to stick my fingers down in between the two windows to open the upper and I was not gonna do that. She said they didn’t have anything but she understood my frustration. She said there was a thing they could put on there but it might break the window. She asked me if I wanted to try a couple and I said yes.
Barry came and put on all nine of them. We ordered the weather windows too and he scheduled everything all at once and did them all yesterday. He had no problem and he said that if it's measured properly, there wouldn't be any trouble. He has been doing it for years and was very good. He was so quiet and went about his work. I was very glad he did all of it in no time at all. But some of the windows are not as tight as they should be. Last week, I could feel draft around them and I know they’re lifetime-guaranteed but I don’t know who to call about that.

We’ve had two sales reps come to our house unexpectedly as they knock door to door. Yesterday a male rep came and did his sales pitch which I can appreciate as my spouse is in sales. He was rather persuasive and although I said we are not interested he continued to pressure and asked why we wouldn’t want to fix our rotted windows. I told him several times we were not interested in replacing them and we are aware as another rep knocked on our door. Needless to say he was very rude and questioned several times what we thought was so important in our lives that we wouldn’t fix our windows. When we are ready to fix our windows we definitely will not use this unprofessional window company.

We needed to replace one of the window elements which was three panels and we replaced that with a slight bay window effect. The windows within the home came from Andersen Windows, which were original to the house when we got it, so it made the most sense to go with them. The initial representative dropped by to demonstrate everything and he did a nice job. The project turned out well, but because the scheduling happened around Christmas, I had to do a slight amount of juggling and holding off with decorating. If it was any other time during the year, the installers would have been in and out, and that would have been phenomenal.
Also, my initial timeslot was for a day where it was gonna turn up to be rainy and nasty. I was a little concerned about having things installed and the trouble was everyone was having holiday parties. I was trying to get a hold of representatives to try to reschedule and I was a bit frantic at that point, but I managed to get a hold of people in time and rescheduled for a week later. The installers were professional and they did a great job putting up with the weather. It was fairly cold and windy that day, so they made sure to at least temporarily get all the windows in place. I had a roaring fire going to keep them warm.
The installers managed to come here around 7:30 in the morning and by 9:30 that night, all the windows were installed, caulked, and sealed. It was one of the coldest days of the year at that point. Overall, the whole process was good. I could've gone and had things done for less, but it was a quality install, and I've got a guarantee behind these for a while. It's been a reassurance and so far, I'm very pleased. I appreciate all the various coatings on the windows because no one can see in all that well, so there's a nice sense of privacy during the day. It's also keeping the heat out and the heat in.

I moved into a home in Massachusetts that was built by a contractor with heavy and really ugly crank out windows. As soon as I walked in I said, “The windows have got to go.” They were so old that all the hand cranks were falling apart. Then we found Andersen was advertising something right about the time I was starting to think about replacing the windows. I ended up calling them and I called a couple of others. Like when my husband replaced windows, he would put the name itself, other replacement windows, and I discovered in the process that they're no longer being made. They were great windows and that’s what I was looking for.
Then, somebody from Andersen came over and took a look at the windows. I was told that the windows that are in my house are Andersen windows. Then he showed me the little marking in the back. He could tell me how old they were and they were even older than I thought they were. I went ahead and got a price, picking around and the first price they gave me, I almost can't get out of the chair. He was giving me the top of the line. I said that it was not going to happen and I could not afford that much.
We ended up meeting somewhere in the middle and had the windows put in. They are double hung windows. Everybody that has walked into the house the first time said, “These windows are beautiful.” The windows are huge. I bought the house with my daughter and she has the colonial side of the house and her windows are 12/12. I wanted windows that were going to match hers so the whole house would blend in together. The windows are so big, it is like my living room is almost enclosed in glass. It is beautiful. I keep looking at the things and I was told to put a curtain on them. I'm like, " Why would I want to cover these windows?” I can look out at the nice woods and see the deer walking through my yard.
I was married to a contractor before and so I told the installer that I'm not a good person to work for because I know what they are doing. But he was fantastic. I said he had to cart one window and there was one window in the kitchen where they had to fill in molding which I ended up having to paint myself, but that was not a big deal. But it did not match up the window sills and he took a look at it and he ended up building with some of the primer wood he had. He had to put a sealant for me. I had to paint it, but it was awesome. I was also watching him cracking the window and I said, “You know, I gotta tell you, I have never seen anybody lay crack like you.”
A slider was put in the window in the kitchen. I had a crank out on there too and it was kind of a hard match to fill in. The installer was not supposed to put an edging around it to fill out the gap, but he did it without any help. He asked me, “What do you want me to do?” And I said, “I'm gonna have to put some molding in there.” He just shrugged it off and he said, “No problem.” He went in and put me a nice little window sill underneath it. That really was not part of the job, but he did it in half an hour. He was unbelievable and he did great work.
I highly recommend the subcontractor. He was an older guy, but he did great work. He was here a couple of days. One day he had to leave because he had a doctor’s appointment but it was not a problem. He made sure upfront that it was going to be okay. He actually came before Andersen said they were going to come. I was very happy with the whole thing. Also, I was glad to see my old, awful windows go.
One of my neighbors, every time I look, he’s doing something in his yard or he’s having somebody do something and he didn’t talk to me. But he came over to my daughter and he said that my windows are beautiful and it really makes the house looks so different. He really loves them and I'm very happy with it, too. I was initially worried about the expense and I know I was going to have to pay up a lot of costs, but they were worth every penny.

When I called I was told that the bill was for the down payment. I was never told that I was going to be billed for the down payment, in fact I asked the sales person about the down payment and was made to believe that it was not necessary.
I would have paid the down payment instead of being billed at 6.66%. I can still pay this off and avoid the interest charges. However, the point is that I should have been given the option and I was not. Also, the guy who arrived at my home to measure removed molding and did not put it back properly. I was supposed to come and measure, this had nothing to do with removal of molding. I will watch anyone very closely who comes into my home moving forward. Renewal by Anderson Terrible experience. Was having a garden window replaced in my kitchen. I wanted the new window made the same size as the existing window so it would fit opening. When they came out to install the window on May 14th it was the wrong size. They had to reinstall the old window and re-measure. They came out on June 23rd with the new window and it was 3 inches too narrow and 1 ½ inches too short. They told me that this was correct and used 2x4’s to make the window fit the opening.
The installers called their supervisor and told him I didn’t want the window installed. He was adamant that what they were doing was correct and when they were done I would like it. I told him that is not how I wanted it done and if they put it in and I didn’t like it I wasn’t going to pay for it until they replaced it with the correct window. I didn’t like the finished installation and I’m still waiting for someone to come out and fix the situation. Their sales team is available to meet the customer at the customer’s convenience to sell windows, but when there is a problem and I need to see a manager they would only be available between 9 am to 5 pm and no weekends. I would have to take off from work to meet with them. This is what they consider good customer service.

I needed to replace big 4-foot wide sliders that were like patio doors. I had to do two of them and they open up, so I had these enclosed. I was in the property business and had a lot of properties over the years prior to this. I did a lot of condo conversions and my old crew was using Renewal by Andersen even on the rental stuff that I'm no longer involved with. I further examined Renewal by Andersen and saw that Home Depot was selling them, so I decided that going with them was the best thing to do. They’ve already installed windows three years ago in three complexes and one of them I was heavily involved in and the windows are going great. I normally would have used my own crew, but Andersen works on their stuff all the time and they're very experienced with it. They can do it faster and everything is guaranteed as well.
Their salesman was a good guy and he was straight up and I recommended him to several people. Their installers did the installation in one day and it was not easy to do this. It required a lot of lifting and they lifted 4 seven foot windows. They were heavy and they got it done. The product is excellent and the finishes are great. The glass is really good and of high quality. A lot of the other companies are off-the-wall old storm window siding guys. We used to call them tin men in the old days and they were con men. They were selling junk but this wasn’t the case with Andersen. They have been around a long time and they're one of the top three windows in the country. You can't go wrong with them.
Thanks for the great review, Anthony! We value the opinions of our customers and love to hear about their experience with us! So thank you for taking the time to do so! Thanks again!!

My house was built in 1956 using heavy aluminum windows that still work fine, but I know an upgrade would save energy costs. So when a door to door canvasser stopped in, I was okay with an estimate. The appointment was cancelled twice, then the very pushy sales rep came out. Unbelievable experience and a total waste of my time. Price for 12 windows in a 1500 SF house? $35,000. As the sales pitch went on, the pressure and the dumb comments only got worse. I feel like I was being taken as a total fool and a victim of this sort of sleazy sales tactic. I did get one thing out of this - a good laugh with friends over the price quoted. What a flaming scam!

I had one of their representatives come to my door, and listened to him talk about setting up a quote for window repairs. He seemed very knowledgeable, but a bit pushy. I do not like making decisions right away, and never confirm anything from someone going door to door. I prefer to think about my options and contact them when I am ready. I explained this to the representative, who became very annoyed and confrontational. I was very nice to him but responded to me with “why would you need to do any research, we are the number one group in the area.” He then proceeded to make a passive-aggressive comment under his breath about the shirt I was wearing as I was leaving. The treatment I received from this particular person was enough for me to seek business elsewhere for my window needs.

I had a terrific experience with Renewal by Andersen. They gave me a timeline on how long everything would take. And their installers were phenomenal. They came on the coldest weekend in February that we had and they had the whole kitchen cordoned off. My Andersen windows are beautiful and everybody was top-notch. I will call Renewal again for another window.
Thanks for the great review, Mary! We are so happy that you are pleased with y our experience with Renewal by Andersen! Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience with us!

Their service is the worst. The tabs cannot be pushed in to window pane to tilt it. Video makes it easy to push the tabs in. It is impossible to push these plastic tabs in. I have tried many time to calling local service dealers to come and service these windows. No one is interested in coming out to your house for any amount of money. It seems only thing they are interested in selling new windows. It sucks not being able to clean windows. I spent $7000 on these windows.
Surender, thank you for reaching out. I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with your new windows. Your windows are designed for ease of use, so let's see what we can do to get you some assistance! If you would be so kind as to message us or email (megan at andersencorp dot com) your contact information, including ZIP code, I will look into this for you. Thank you!

We had Andersen windows put in when we built the house so we got Andersen again for a patio sliding door. The rep was very good and she knew her stuff. She had a lot of information and explained that it had to be custom-made. It would take a few months and we were fine with it. It would be mid-January and it was on point as far as the days. They came out and they did it in one day. When they had to take the original door out, it was in three pieces. It took about 5 hours from start to finish and it was very fast. They also cleaned up and everything was perfect. The cost wasn’t cheap, but I was fine with the price. The quality was fine too. It was sealed and we had no problems this winter with it at all. I would recommend Renewal by Andersen.
Thanks for the great review, Linda! We are so happy that you had a great experience with Renewal by Andersen and took the time to share about it. Thanks again and enjoy your new patio door!
