The Rainsoft rep that came out was good. Since having the system installed, we drink tap water now. Before, we didn't drink it. And it's a much quality of water.

I had a good experience with the sales rep of RainSoft. I thought I was getting the water softener but he didn't explain to me that each piece was a little bit more money. So that wasn't fully disclosed to me, which was why I was a little confused. With the whole system, he sold us the cleaner for the heat and air unit. But he never even mentioned it to me. I didn't even know what it was. When the installer asked me about it, I said, "I don't even know what you're talking about." I came to find out, it wouldn't even fit my system anyway 'cause we didn't discuss this and we never looked at it.
That by itself was supposed to be around $1,200. I was under the impression I was gonna get back the $1,200 credit. But they said, "Oh, no. You're only gonna get back 450 because it was sold as a package." There was a lot of miscommunication and a lot of things were not divulged that should have been divulged. We were left with a lot of questions and no answers.

RainSoft is very high quality product. I got the actual water softener itself and the reverse osmosis. It was a quick and efficient experience.

RainSoft was very accommodating during the whole process, like coming out right after the hurricane and looking at everything and determining what we needed. They have always been prompt. We call them up. They got someone out and took care of the problem. Or if they couldn't come, they had an explanation for it. So, they have always been very good. And all of their people are good. Whatever we had is not what they use anymore. We had to go to a different type of process with the salt. And they recommended a peroxide drip system for better treatment. The water is very clear.

The rep from RainSoft who came out was very well-presented and knowledgeable. We talked about our concern, the water and a few different things. Then, he did some water samples and showed us the different things about our water and the soaps that RainSoft provides. We got the whole system. We got the one that goes in the garage with the two canisters and the one that goes under the sink. It’s a double filter. It was a great experience with RainSoft. There are people who can talk to you and give you some information without having other things and trying to sell you extra stuff. It was very enjoyable.

The rep was great. She was very thorough, knowledgeable, cut right to the point and knew her stuff. She definitely took her time. The techs were very thorough too. They came in and did what they were supposed to do. RainSoft was very accommodating. We had our system installed one week and then we were getting our garage floor quoted the next week. So, the techs came back out, uninstalled it for us, set it aside in our laundry room and then came out a day later and put it back in for us once our garage floor was good to go. After we had the RainSoft system installed, our skin was softer and I wasn't breaking out as much. My hair was cleaner. The laundry clothes feel softer and fresher. We haven't used a whole lot of the sample products because we don’t use it very much but they’re fine so far. Sometimes when I have greasy dishes, I would go back and use my regular Jet-dry. But most times, I just use their dishwashing detergent.

Their rep Munchy explained everything. The installer cleaned up after himself. I was in the middle of work so he didn't trouble me. I was happy with everything. We got the system under the sink and there's a tap. Downstairs, we have two big drums that we put salt in. We also have an air purifier. I was diagnosed with cancer over one year ago and I used to have a lot of hair fall. But since having the system, I noticed that my hair is not falling as much. My kids love the system. Whatever Munchy said was true. Nowadays, when we leave the house, we have to have our own water bottles. When I drink the water, I can't tell much difference with the water but I can certainly feel it in my hands, body, face and hair.

Working with them was a very good experience. The techs were very knowledgeable with what they were sharing about water. They gave us knowledge of the lifetime of the unit itself. The installers were very professional. When I used to have regular water on, I would feel itchy when I come out of the bathroom. The RainSoft system is very good. We've stopped buying bottled water so that's gonna save us money.

The sales rep was good. He was thorough and explained everything to us. The installer was here a little over an hour and he did a nice, neat job. So far, everything's all right. We’re on city water, and we're noticing a lot of difference with RainSoft. The showering and laundry is still good. On the other hand, I'm still not used to the taste of the water. It is definitely better, but it has a different taste to it. I still drink bottled water.

A salesperson called to set up an appointment, and when he came, he was friendly, as well as very courteous, professional, and thorough. We still have a few issues and he's been a great point of contact to get those resolved. The reverse osmosis is a good product. However, the company I dealt with is an affiliate of Rainsoft. They're called Sweetwater Plumbing, and I had some issues with the plumbers that came out. We worked through it, but one guy was a little rude. He was a master plumber and there was two other guys that fell under him. They claimed that the master plumber had hearing problems. I have hearing problems, but at least I ask what, or I'm not assuming. I would tell people I have hearing problems, and I can't understand. The master plumber didn't make me feel good and I tried to avoid him the whole time. That didn't help, but the other two got the job done.

When we purchased the home we live in, we already had a RainSoft system. But we noticed that our water softener system is failing. We were starting to get odor in our water. I called the RainSoft office in Delaware and shortly after that, someone from the office contacted me. They scheduled an appointment and they had the gentleman came out and talked to us about the different systems that were available and the programs that were available to RainSoft. He tested our water, and then made his recommendations. Then we pretty much agreed to what system that they recommended because it's pretty comparable to the system we already had. The guy that installed it was quick and he explained everything to us. Everything was pretty quick and really smoothly. Everyone was real nice.

I was having pump problems then my water turned brown. My water would also taste like metal. I had RainSoft come out and test the water. Their rep did a pH test and metal test to check any weird stuff in the water. He did it while my grandchildren were there and they were very excited about that to see that. He showed us the different things, the different colors, and what they meant on the chart.
It turned out that I had a very low pH, a lot of metal, and a little bit of the other stuff in my water. He then showed us what their system would do and I had them put the system in. They selected it for me and told me it would give me better quality of water. They put three canisters in and a salt tank. And they told me I only had to check it once a month to make sure that there was enough salt in the tank. Now you can drink the water and it's delicious. When I take a shower, I don't feel dried out and itchy. My hair is softer and my clothes come out softer in the wash. RainSoft's people were wonderful and very informative. They came in, did what they had to do, and cleaned up after themselves.

The house we live in is on a well and water started smelling really bad. It was leaving the sinks and bathtub with orange stains. Rainsoft's reps weren't pushy and they let me call them back and decide what I was gonna go with. That was helpful. The installation of the system was easy. The techs did all the work. They had to go underneath the crawl space and run the pipes up through the floor. They were done in four hours and had the system hooked up and running. Since then, the bad smell has gone away and there is no more staining in the sinks. I'm very happy with the system. If you're on a well and you have the same problems, I recommend it.

The guy from Tri State Water & Air came and tested the water and gave us a presentation. They told us all about Rainsoft, and how it worked. The installer was supposed to be here one day. But they called and they said it was going to be late. I told them that if it was gonna be that late, they should wait until the next day. So that was what they did. They kept us up with whatever was happening. Since having the system, I've noticed I use less detergent.

The RainSoft system was something we needed and we got it, and we have no regrets. We've enjoyed it and we're glad to have it in place. We were having renovations done on our house including bathrooms so we were getting everything in order that need to be taken care of too. It’s been a good experience with RainSoft. Since the installation of the system, the water has got a soft feel to it. I like the way it cleans. I would highly recommend them.

I got a water treatment system from RainSoft, and the people who installed it worked hard. They were diligent. They had to finish something up the next day and they accidentally left the water turned off at the house when they left. So, I had to call and get them to come back to turn that back on. I'm a firm believer that mistakes happen and you want to minimize them, but it's so much about how people handle the mistakes. They handled it well. So far, the system seems good. Every now and then, I put a couple of drops to the water tester thing they gave me, and say, "Yeah, it's still nice and soft."
They did give me a collection of soaps, cleaners and shampoos. They gave me one soap, initially, and there was a box of more stuff and I noticed that that first soap they gave me was different from the rest. I'm also finding the shower soap feels a little slimy, but I just switched to that. My laundry seems to be coming out clean. My dishes are coming out clean.
Overall, customer service is fine. I was very happy with it other than the one little glitch on the water being turned off. I feel like the app and the interface on the computer are clunky and need to be modernized. I had set a vacation when I went out of town recently, and I ended up leaving after I thought I was going to, and so I ended up running some water. It gave me a notification of, "Hey, the water came while you're on vacation." I couldn't figure out how to get rid of that. I ended up having to send an email to customer support. I was told, "You need to unplug the system and plug it back in." That makes no sense at all. I'm a principal engineer. I'm an embedded programmer. I've been doing this for 25 years. I couldn't figure out any way to do it. If the answer is unplug it and plug it back in, someone needs to bring the system up to modern standards.

The salesman was funny and very friendly. He was even playing around with our daughters and they had fun with him. They were tasting the water and had little experiments together. The installer was very friendly, too. He would always smile when he was here and that meant a lot because when you're having a bad day, that's what you want. Since we got RainSoft, the water tastes great. The kids didn't want to drink water before, and now they drink water all the time. So I'm really grateful and I'm the most satisfied customer ever. I also called them to get into the account so I could get my soap. We love that including the air fresheners, detergents, and shampoos.

The RainSoft representative was Johnny-on-the-spot. We had a meeting within a couple of days and it went from there to installing the softener, full home filtration, plus an RO filter system. The installer was very professional. You would not have even known they were there when he left. My icemaker was not working right and ice cubes were not clear but it didn't take long after the system was installed and the ice coming out of it is crystal clear. My icemaker works now like it never did in the past.

Our water is really bad. There's so much chlorine in it that it burns your eyes when you take a shower. The tech really knew what he was doing. He was able to answer any questions I had. Since the system was installed, the difference with the water has been night and day. Even the faucets feel different when you turn them off and on. But the system uses more salt than advertised. They told me that it was a year's supply of salt but it was gone in a month. The system is steep but it's worth it.

The rep came for a water test and he explained to me every step that he did. I was really impressed, especially when I tasted the water. The only thing was I got the Platinum and I thought I was getting every single thing that was presented, like the alkaline water system. The price was over $10,000 and what sold me on it was that I wouldn't have to buy everything I normally buy anymore. Since I couldn't afford one more bill, it seemed like the price of not having to pay for the products will offset the price of having to pay the monthly payments. I was happy about that.
But when the guy came and hooked everything up, I asked him about the alkaline and he told me that wasn't included in what he was supposed to install. I called the guy who did the water test and I asked him about it and he said it would be an additional $800. At first, I was gonna just take the extra 800 and get the alkaline water, but I didn't really know if it would be any different, so I didn't get it. The other thing was when they came out to do the installation, they didn't bring the air filter. If I wasn't paying attention to everything I was hearing, I wouldn't even realize that I was supposed to get that. So I called him and told him that they didn't bring it when they installed the water system.
I had to get the installation done on two different days because the first day that the guy came, he came with everything but it rained really hard, so he told me he could only do the inside installation, which was the water filters with the middle spout to it. I had to wait because of the rain. But the guy was really nice. The only concern I had about the installation was they had to hook up some copper pipes in the front of my house and they didn't tell me that they were gonna be putting a hole through a screen that covers the air vent. If he had asked me, I would have told him I'd rather him do the hole through the wall because the air vent cover can't be replaced - they don't make those anymore.

Setting up with RainSoft was straightforward. The sales rep walked us through the process and tested our water. I was impressed with the knowledge of the representative and patience. From when we said we wanted to go with the system, RainSoft was ready to have someone in here the following day, which was an aggressive turnaround, and I didn't expect that. So that was nice. But it was during the freeze. They attempted to install but the line was frozen. So they came back that Monday to do the installation once it warmed up a bit.
I had an extremely good experience with RainSoft. There’s a clear difference in the taste of the water and the dryness of the skin. I was using the soap that was provided and following the directive as far as what they said. Visually, it seemed like it was underdosing because I wasn't getting as much foam and bubble that I'm used to. I discontinued using the soap provided because when we bought the additional product, that soap wasn't adequate for me personally. So I'm back to using my normal Tide.

A gentleman came out and ran the full gambit water test. He was very polite. The only issue was he kept going, "This is bad water." I knew my water was hard, but that doesn't make it bad. The installers showed up within a half hour of the anticipated show time, and both were extremely polite. They showed where everything was accessed and how to read the meter on the top of the filter softener system. For the reverse osmosis system, they explained that we have to go through periodically and empty the initial tank to let it refill so that it will run through and do a recharge cycle. They also told us to check the salt levels periodically.
We picked up some additional third party water test strips, and about a week after we had the system installed, we went through and ran the test on both to make sure that it was doing what it was supposed to be doing, and it was. At the moment, we are happy with our systems. The water in our subdivision is hard, and we were able to get it down to a zero hardness. The representative who came out and did the initial sales for the system gave us a bunch of his business cards and said that if we did any referrals, that we could then be eligible for a $20 gift card from Home Depot.

I've never wanted a water softener. I never was interested in a water softener. Here on this farm, we have well water and it's hard water and there's iron in it. So, I was interested in a water filter system but I didn't really know what avenue to go on, and I'm not made of money, but the RainSoft guy showed me how the system worked and assured me that the salt did not wind up in my house. I didn't want to drink salt water. I didn't want my flavor of my water to change too much. He had a great presentation. That convinced me that their system can remove a lot of the lime and calcium. Three guys showed up for the installation. They put it next to my well. I do not have a well house, and so that was really easy. They just dug it in and shook hands to say goodbye. It was very simple. I had easy access piping for them.
I like the system. I'm very happy with it. I do a lot of canning, and so there used to be precipitate that would show up on my jars from the calcium and lime in the water, so I’d have to add vinegar to the water so that that didn't happen. I don't have to do that anymore. Everything comes out fine without all this lime all over the jars, so I'm very happy with it. RainSoft has been a very easy company to deal with. Everyone’s super friendly. There was a tech that came out to give me a checkup after it's been in for a few months and gave me a few more tips on how to manage it and what to look for. I do recommend RainSoft highly to anybody.

RainSoft tested the water in the house. They showed samples of what it was like through our existing filter, what it was from the city, what a couple of bottled water was. And they showed us all the experiments. Having such a demonstration of different examples on the spot was the main reason we went with it. The installers were very knowledgeable, quick, and clean. They said they would reach out to me when it was time to change filters.
I can tell the difference in the water. Since I've been drinking this one at home, if I'm ever out and about and I buy a bottle of my usual brand, I can't drink it. Even the gentleman who did the demonstration at our home for the RainSoft system said Smartwater is the closest water to their filtration system. All I have to do is put the salt into the tanks every few months. I can check on the app at any time. It's super convenient. If I ever add any, I just update the app and the app will send me reminders if it's running low. But I can also just step out into my garage at any time and look inside there. I had a water softener that was 26 years old and it quit working. I have a tankless water heater so I have to have soft water for that. I found RainSoft and they answered. I looked at the comments that were made about the company. I called them and asked questions over the phone. I then had them come out and install the system. I have the whole house system, which is what I had before and what I needed. I needed a company that could provide a large system and I wanted it within a certain price range so that I knew that it was a quality system and that it was gonna last for a long time.
The installation was my least favorite part of the system. I moved into this house a year and a half ago and I've had a lot of work done on the house. Depending on how long the installation took, it was several times that they would call. Every one of those companies, the owner called, came out, checked on the work being done, and made a follow-up call after the work was done to see how I liked it, if I was happy, and if was there anything else I could do. With RainSoft, the owner was the one who came out and told me about the system, tested the water, and saw where it was gonna go. We talked about some things that he was gonna do.
I made the purchase directly from the owner of the company. The installer got here and he didn't know about some of the arrangements that we had made that were a little different than some of the regular installations and he refused to do them. He wasn't going to take the old system out. At least I got him to get a dolly and move it out of the utility room and into the sunroom by the backdoor. The owner had promised me some extra bags of salt, which I still have not gotten, and he didn't know anything about those. He wasn't the best representative of the company. That aside, the unit itself is fine.

I was having residue on my shower head and I had to clean it every couple of months. My rep was very thorough and his professionalism was good. He did a lot of visual tests for us to understand the concept behind it all. I got a whole house water purification system with another system to produce reverse osmosis water. With the system, our water tastes like bottled water. I bought my own tester and it tests good. Also, the water is a much higher quality for taking a shower and washing clothes.

The consultation was intense and very comprehensive. It was way more than we expected I got a very personable rep who has been doing this a long time. During installation, the salesperson was a little pushy but polite. They wanted us to engage with a bunch of other products that they have and they also wanted to do some advertising on our front door. Our goal for the testing was to see if we needed a water filtration system. Based on what we found out, the water in our area definitely benefits from it. The installation crew got the system installed quickly and without issue. It was a clean installation. They were very professional.
With the system, we saw a dramatic difference in the water. We come from the US Virgin Islands and for three decades, we were used to nothing but rainwater we collected ourselves. With the water here in Delaware, washing my hair felt weird and I couldn't get it clean or dry. Also, we were having skin issues. After the system went in, it felt like we were back to rainwater again which was very comforting.
Part of the RainSoft pitch was also soap products to use with softer water, formulated for that. We have transitioned to using those products and everything is really good. I couldn't figure out what the pink stuff was in my sinks, toilets, and shower. I had thought it was bacteria, which is the kind of thing we would have found in our warm, tropical environment, but it turns out that that was residue from the hard water. With the system, that is almost non-existent. Also, our drinking water tastes a lot better.
We got both the salt water softener and the filter apparatus beneath the house to filter the whole house supply. We also had a four-stage filter system underneath the kitchen sink that services a dedicated super clean water spigot. If we had gone a la carte to a similar water softener system, we might have saved a bunch of money. But that's all right 'cause it ended up being very quick and efficient. It saved me some hard work.

He was able to explain to me in terms I could understand how the water testing turned out. I did the purchase with his supervisor over the phone. She offered to call their local installer and he offered to come on Christmas Eve. He drove an hour from Flint to do the installation. He was a super cool guy. The system works great.
I have a Wolverine Home Water System in my basement and I wasn't exactly sure how the the hardness of my water was still coming out of the tap after all that. We purchased a total water filter and a water softener, and the RainSoft team who installed that were wonderful. I also signed up for the extended plan with the company so that they would take care of the regular maintenance. Right now, all I have to do if my salt gets low is call them to have them come and fill it. Since we got RainSoft, our water is softer and it's not as drying. Neither does it leave a residue like it used to.

RainSoft left me two or three cards in my mailbox. I didn't know what it was about so I reached out and they told me about the product. They asked me for a time to come and do a test. They came and did the test and I liked the results. The rep did his presentation and demonstration. I was able to see the difference between the water I had and what the device would do for me. He also gave me different options. I went with the full option because I wanted my entire water system to be treated.
The installer did all that he had to do then he came to my kitchen and installed the one that was for drinking. When they were done, they cleared up and they asked for some time to teach me how to do a few things like how to check the salt level and the basic maintenance. Someone else came to do another check to ensure everything was okay. He inspected the salt, the system, my drinking water, and the tap from which I would drink water. I've used the product for about four or five months and it's been good. They have really good customer service.

RainSoft's reps came out and did a presentation. The first one didn't prepare correctly and when we tasted the water, it was nasty. But a second rep came out and her name was Angel. She explained the product and when she let us taste the water, it tasted good. She also told us how much we could save. She showed numbers and asked us how much we paid for water. During the installation, the techs hooked everything up really quick and explained some of what was going on with the water. They let us look over the work, too. Since then, when I wash the dishes, do laundry, or take a shower, I know the difference. When I clean my dog, her skin looks better. Multiple people asked us about our RainSoft system and we told them that with it, the water is healthier. We also told them how it's better for your skin and that it's a good product.

We got a water purifier and a water softener was involved with that deal. The installation was excellent. The techs were very quick and efficient. We like the system a lot. The only drawback that I'm really frustrated with is that after the system has gone through its process purifying, there's a shutoff valve that is made out of plastic when it should be made out of metal. After a few years in the Texas heat, that plastic valve is gonna start to get hard and crack. It's gonna be defective quickly. That's a big miss when you spend that much money on a system. When I started to put my system against some of the others I've seen, it felt like it got cheap on me. Putting a metal valve doesn't cost that much more to do.
Other than that, since getting the system installed, the water has been definitely fresher and I really appreciate that. It's easier to drink as opposed to what we were getting. My showers are better also. I'm happy with the system.

The rep that came out did a great job. We were impressed by the different tests that he had and how clean the water was. But I did not like the amount of money that he started off with. The initial price was around 12,500. But we ended up paying 44. My neighbor got his a couple of years ago and he paid 65. To me, it's not right. I was happy that I got it down, but other people may have been getting ripped off. Home Depot did talk to me and I told him the same thing.
When the guy came to install the system, he knew what he was doing. He was quick and fast. He came the same day that we ordered it and it was dark. It was crazy. But the plates could be secured to the wall better. They're shaking in the wind and that's all my water to the house. Because now, he put a valve on there so that I can get pre-water before it goes through the system. My son complained once that the water tasted salty. I checked the system and, that night, it rejuvenates. So we dumped that out, and had it run for a little bit, and then it was fine ever since. I'm satisfied with the system.

I scheduled an appointment but after I thought about it, I called back the very next morning to cancel it. They forwarded me to a manager, and the manager stated, "I understand you can't afford it, but how about the water system for the sink alone," which I ended up with. The installer who came was great. He explained everything and made it very easy for me to be able to remove the stuff when it comes time to change my filters. I can tell a difference in the drinking water. Ours was a little bit more extensive because of the way our house is ran. We have two units on our property. For the under-the-counter system and for the system on this side, that took four to six hours. The rep was good. He wasn't pushing too much. He answered all the questions I asked. But they have two different types of under sink. One was reverse osmosis and the other is a two-filter thing without the tank. I asked for that because reverse osmosis wastes water with a 1-to-1 ratio. So, I'm wasting the same amount of water as with filtered water. Plus, we don't have much space under the sink. But the sales reps say they don't carry that anymore. I found out later that they still do.
I ended up getting the reverse osmosis system and they offered me to switch to the two-filter one later on once we found out that he did not tell me the truth. But I just stuck with the reverse osmosis one because that gives the purest water. That other model would have cost me a little less and saved more space. Right now, the reverse osmosis unit is two-thirds of the space underneath the sink. Also, it's a little pricey. Other than that, we're satisfied.

They had it in the middle of the garage. Towards the garage door, there's a cubby-hole. People that I know that have a salt system have it placed in that cubby-hole and it takes up less of the garage. It was an issue as far as my wife getting in and out of her car. They came back out after I mentioned it to the salesman that we weren't happy with the install. But it was professionally done. It looked good and clean. But we didn't see much of a difference. The last time the tech came in, he explained that we have to run the system optimally for 55 minutes. But the drinkable water and the rest of the household is amazing. We saw a huge difference.
When we spoke to the person who came initially, we said, "We're ready to pay upfront. Can you give some discounts?"" He said that was not feasible. Rainsoft should think about it. If a customer is willing to buy the product out, instead of the monthly installment plan, there should be an option of buying it out and get discounts since they're paying lump sum. We were trying to go for the best price possible but we didn't see there was room of negotiations at all, even as a monthly plan. The only thing that we were told was we would get a six-year supply of products.
My brother-in-law took the same offers as we did. When they were using the products, it worked perfectly for them. But when we used it, it worked badly. We tried using it five times to make sure we were using it properly. We used the instruction provided in the bottle then we used the instruction provided by the dishwasher. It seems that the detergent didn't work well and both leaving a lot of residue from old stains which we would have seen with the dish pods. Another thing is when Rainsoft is giving out the products, an extra storable container would be better.
The guy who came to sell the product was phenomenal. He was very informative and helped us with his information. But Rainsoft was pestering him to get our contract, to confirm the address given was correct. We were being called on so many times then he ended up coming abruptly without giving a heads-up. I understand because he's a sales guy and he was trying to close the contracts. But Rainsoft needs to set up a system that will ask, "Is this your confirmed address," and we can just accept it. They're asking for confidential information which I don't know if I'm comfortable sharing with an unknown company that I'm not much aware of. Some people will give it upfront, whereas others will not. There was another technician who was scheduled to visit. But because of that aftereffect, it caused my husband to be upset. The rep told me why I should upgrade to a bigger system since I have the RainSoft in my down unit and it is too small for the number of people in the house. So far, so good. This one, the requirement is less than once a year I get to change the salt. It's more technical. But at least I can control it from my phone. I know what is going on downstairs and I don't have to go downstairs every time to check it. Their customer service is also top-notch. Anytime I have an issue with RainSoft and I call, they'll definitely book me a technician. I also had issues that were dealt with right away.

I was looking for products that would filter the tap water and ended up with RainSoft. There was a visit to the house and the reps did a test of the water. They gave the results then they gave options on what I can do. I had the system installed and that was pretty smooth. I've had the system for about four months now. The quality is actually good. The system does what it's intended to and I don't have to bother about it. The filter lasts from two to three years and I don't have to do anything on a monthly basis. So far, contacts have been for them to come and do a 30-day inspection after the installation. All in all, the whole process was smooth. They did what they intended to do and they had told me that they would do. I commend them for their whole installation process and how they had good customer service, both by the sales person as well as the folks who installed the system.

I needed a filter because the water line in the toilet and the bathtub were yellowish in color. I got the RainSoft water softener and now, it's better to take a shower. The water seems cleaner. I noticed I don't have to clean the shower as much as well. I also use the water to make coffee and tea and they taste better. It also helps even with the ice maker of the refrigerator. For upkeeping, it's just a matter of putting salt in the water softener then reprogramming the machine. It's not that hard. Try to get RainSoft. It helps out.

RainSoft called and we scheduled an appointment. My experience has been a delightful one. I appreciated the gentleman who came in. His name is Frederick. He has been doing this type of work for a number of years so he was well-versed. He took his time going through the demonstration that they do to sell their pitch, which was phenomenal, and it had me sold from that time. Any time I needed him, he was very responsive. He shared with me that if at any given time I had any questions, whether it was beyond his control or not, he can push me in the right direction or connect me with someone who could be of assistance.
The installation team was a different story. They were a little tied up with one job. They didn't come on the day that they were supposed to come. They ended up coming extremely late in the evening so that they could drop off their supplies and come back the next day. They came back the next day. Frederick ended up coming a little bit later. He and I were able to schedule some time. He walked me through what needed to happen, what I needed to get, and when. RainSoft was a good deal, especially the fact that if we ever moved, the whole system will get moved with us. Most people don't do that. And our water hardness was at a 9. So it was up there and we really needed to get it filtered. And now our water is softened. The sales rep was down to earth and informative. He got us set up to get a free box of a bunch of the products. And the tech was also very informative and helpful, and went over the stuff with me on the maintenance of it. They were both great.
I have sensitive skin, and my skin has felt and looked so much better since we've had the water softener. And the water tastes a lot better. When I first moved in four years ago, I said, “This water tastes good for well water. I like this water.” And I'm sure, over the last four years since I've been here, because we live in the middle of fields, it has progressively gotten worse. Lynn ** worked fantastic for the first year almost exactly to the day. Actually, 3 days after the 1-year warranty expired. We did a lot of remodeling during the year. Brand new toilets and sinks and a new tile shower in the second bathroom. Then (3 days after the warranty expired) an alarm went off saying it needed a service. I called. The service was almost $300. I was told that if I had called during the warranty period it would have been no charge. I was also told (during the same phone!) call that this is an annual service and the alarm was programmed by time and date during the install.
So instead of programming a time and date a few days before the warranty expired they PURPOSELY program it for a few days after. "Programmed by time and date during install". That was our first issue. Within month of that service, our pressure began to drop. We called, paid another almost $300 service and were told it was our pump or the pressure tank on the pump. I had Josh (JnL Well) come out and look the system over. Our pressure tank had a slow air leak. He pressured the tank back up and there was no change in pressure in the house. I had Josh install a new larger pressure tank. No improvement.
Another service call (and another $300) and they are now saying that because we did not have a system before we installed theirs all of the pipes from the well to the house and in the house are contaminated and must be replaced in order for the pressure to come back. So after a year of great clean, clear filtered water and great pressure all of sudden our "old pipes" have ruined everything.
I had Josh install a pressure gauge before the filter system and after the filter system. There is a BIG difference in pressure after. When they installed the system they used all new pipes from the pressure tank to the house connection. Both of the new gages are on their new pipes before it even gets to our "old ruined" pipes. We now have barely enough water pressure to take a shower.
During the initial install, we had them install a nice under-sink reverse osmosis system in the kitchen. It was great. During install, I was told the filters need to be changed after 1,000 gallons of water. They had no meter on it so I bought and installed a gallon-use meter. We have not even run 500 gallons through it and it is literally useless. You open the spout and it will dispense a drop of water every 5-10 seconds.
Again, they say it is our old ruined house pipes. They say there is absolutely nothing they can do until we have our entire house re-plummed. They will not even come back out here for another $300 until we prove we have replaced all the pipes. Yet the pressure gauges on their pretty new pipes show the whole story right there.
Our new sinks and toilets are now all nasty and stained. Something we were promised would never be a problem again. We have barely enough pressure to shower. They refuse to even come look at it. We still owe thousands on the system. At this point we just want them to come get their junk and cancel the remainder of our bill. They have refused to do so. Other than that, there is no problem at all with the system.
For the RainSoft EC5 conditioner, there are system alerts that the EC5 control can be set to monitor, such as yearly maintenance, filter and lamp replacement, and Other – for other RainSoft products installed in the home. When selecting the Alarm History from the menu, a record is logged when any number of important events occur. The most recent alarms is shown in this menu item. In addition, there is also the low salt alarm, and an alarm to indicate Power Loss and a Motor/Switch alarm. An explanation for all of these alerts can be found in the owners manual. In this particular case, the alarm may have been an alert for yearly maintenance, as the system had been installed a year ago. The majority of our dealers have a 1 year service warranty if a system is not performing properly or there is an issue with the installation. All of our dealers are independently owned and operated, so it would be at the dealers discretion whether or not they would perform maintenance or tune up for free within the first year after installation. Typically, there would need to be an issue with the system for the service call to be no charge in the first year.

Because of the water, the dishwasher wouldn't work and was all clogged up. We bought the RainSoft system and had it put in. It's killing the purse. We just moved and we really didn't need that big a bill again on us.
That aside, I love the water. Most of the products are pretty good. I love the bars of soap and the cleaners. The only one I don't use a whole lot of is the body wash because I have dry skin and it seems to dry my skin out worse. Also, we still have a little orange tint in our water. RainSoft checked it and they said that pretty much the only way I'll get rid of that is if I ended up getting another softener, which I can't afford right at the moment. We had to use the softener that was already here for a few months that already built up that orange in it. But it's not that bad. The only other thing is we were told at Home Depot when we let them come out to test our water that we would get a $20 gift card. We never saw it.

DON’T DO IT!!! DO NOT PURCHASE THE WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM FROM RAIN SOFT. You will receive all the beautiful unkept promises before buying the products. The worst investment we had ever made. You work so hard on making sure you are taking care of your family the best way you possibly can. We purchased this system 6yrs and 7 months ago. Every year you need to pay close to $200.00 for the tune up for the EC5 water treatment system. Pay close the $200.00 for tune up for the clean start (that’s for the drinking water inside the house). That’s on top of pay for the system.
If you called because your supposedly filtered water is turning BLACK or yellow, they want to charge you a fee of $119.50 to come check it out.. I just had tune up in April. I called reported that the water was black. They informed that maybe I need a tune (since I was due for one anyways). The technician could not find out why the water was black (And no, I do not have Carbon in the tank (that would have explained it) the technician informed me). He said “the regeneration timeline for some reason was reset for PM instead of the 2AM time. Also moved the tube where the water was coming out (after generation), he said maybe it was pulling in mud”. He said “after the tune up everything should be back to normal”. The regeneration was set for 2AM. Now fast forward 6 months later (after the tune up in April) the water is Yellow in the morning.
I called to report it and they want to charge me $119.50 to take a look! Really!!!? I spoke with 3 different people (all different stories). One gentleman told me that he will have a technician come check it out. If it’s because of the system, they will not charge me. Then, I received another call from a woman from (Coastal Energy 954-941-9153). She informed me that the gentleman works for her, and she could not authorize sending someone to come look at why my water is coming out yellow without paying the fee of $119.50. She starts going into the possibilities of why the water was getting discoloration. She said ”You live in Miramar and their water probably has issues”. I informed her that my neighbors do not have black nor yellow water.
I’m paying for a water FILTER SYSTEM! So, what’s the point of paying for something if it’s not doing the job? She even tried to tell me “Well we just had the storm” talking about hurricane Ian. One, my location was not affected whatsoever by the storm(thank God). We had rain and mild wind. Two, I informed her the yellow color was happening before the storm. She proceeds to tell me “Well you can disconnect the system and just use the city water as is” so I asked what about the system that I’m paying for, she stayed quiet. You have a lifetime warranty on the equipment (never trust anything that’s says lifetime warranty). Every year you pay for tune up. if I’m getting tune up on a regular basis, I should not have concerns issues with the water.
Our RainSoft distributor in Pompano Beach is currently looking into this matter. The owner of the dealership will be meeting with the customer to address their concerns. At this time we are waiting for a report back from the dealer.

I got the RainSoft water filter system because I hate the sulfur smell in my house. A guy came and did a demonstration which looked so good. He said we would have really sweeter water and there would be no buildup. You also get a Home Depot gift card for $50 and some free shampoo and laundry detergent. I was also told they will give me a one-time free refill of the salt. I have to pay almost 7,000 for the system and I don't see its worth, so far. It's too much money and I don't see any significant change in the water. RainSoft was set up in August. When we used the system with the salt in there, we still have the smell of sulfur in the shower or in the washing dishes.
Thank you for making us aware of your issue with your RainSoft system. We have contacted your installing dealer in Florida who informed us that your complaint has been noted and an appointment has been scheduled for 1/10/2023 per your request. We trust a proper resolution will be found once a service technician has had the opportunity to inspect the system.

The salesperson that came was really familiar with the product. I didn't realize my water was so hard here. I saw a big difference in the RainSoft softened water. So far, the techs I had were both excellent. I was pleased with the overall installation. RainSoft seemed like an expensive system but I didn't have to do any of the work. They did a fantastic job and the system looks nice.
I had an instance where the float was stuck on the brine tank causing an issue. It wasn't functioning right. I had water softeners in the past and that's something that just happens. RainSoft was prompt about getting out here and servicing the system. A service technician showed up today right when they said he would and everything fell into place. He took care of that issue and it was simple. Also, I didn’t have any trouble getting my gift certificate or using the websites for the discount on the soap. It really went well.

I got the call and I was interested to find out about the product. The rep was good in his presentation and he was able to convince me. I asked my three other friends to also join and we all got RainSoft. During the installation, there was some problem with the drainage and it was presented to us. We just have to live with what was installed. That aside, that installer was fine. He presented to us the pros and cons of what he was doing. My son and my neighbor said that the installation was not right. But for me, it was okay.
I like the alkaline water. But not the soft water. When I take a shower, I feel like the soap is still there even if I rinse for the longest. The effect is supposed to be like you had lotion put in it. I shared that with my friend and she said the same thing. The only other thing with RainSoft is I wanted to find out how I can get rewarded because I had three friends I was able to convince to have RainSoft installed. I have not heard anything from RainSoft. I already called.
Hi Expedita,
With softened water the hardness minerals (calcium and magnesium) have been removed which is why the water feels slippery and there is the feeling that soap is still on your skin. Hardness prevents soap from lathering, so this is why we recommend cutting back on the amount of soap and detergent that you use. In addition, you will also save on cleaning products. Regarding your referrals, we will bring this to your dealers attention.
Thank you for choosing RainSoft for your water treatment needs.

RainSoft gave us $30 gift cards for buying the product. We went through Home Depot, which was how we got the system. A sales lady came up and asked if we wanted to have our water tested, and I said, "Yeah. Let's do that." I know how bad the water is here and I wanted them to do that just so I know. I'm glad they did because I found out that the water I was buying from the store was junk. I was just throwing my money away. I put the alkaline unit underneath my sink too. I've been drinking alkaline water for 17 years. I used to go to the store and buy cases of it, and I would spend about $100 a month on it. I would then go to a water place, and I used to buy five gallons because I use it in my coffee. Everything's great with the unit.
I had RainSoft for 12 years when I used to live in Cal City, but when I moved, I left the system with the house. When I finally bought another house, my water was very hard. I have sensitive hands, and since I burned them with hydrochloric acid, a lot of the hard water usually dried it out bad. I had a RainSoft system installed about a year and a half later. I didn't know they were still in business, but that there bought me too because that shows how long the company has been in business, for how great the product is.
Everything works fantastic, and I love the product. It's just it's taking so long to finalize. I take time off from work, so I'm home and here to help with whatever they need or move things out 'cause I know how it is. It took them three days to install the system. While I don't have a problem with that, they've been out several times now to fix things because the inspector wanted all the lines ran insulated because it freezes here. RainSoft had a gentleman come out, and he started insulating in the garage, but he didn't have enough stuff to do it. He was also too big to be in the attic to do that. So he couldn't finish the other parts of my house.

Someone came to do a test of my water and the testing went good. It was what I thought it would be. I got the RainSoft system in the entire house and I've noticed that the quality of the water is not that hard anymore. We had an issue with a leak where one of setups in the basement was leaking. It was over a weekend and RainSoft took maybe three days to come out. I would have preferred someone to come out immediately because it was a leak in my basement.

The RainSoft system is low maintenance and it provides better quality water. I had to contact my adviser for some tweaking and some questions because we wanted to make sure we were getting the same effects from the last system we had with different configurations for the taller canisters. But other than that, it’s performing as advertised. It’s been a good experience so far. I'm very satisfied.

I was in Home Depot, purchasing a refrigerator and they were doing a survey on what people thought of the water in our town. I had told them I was going to start looking for a water softener because the water is so hard on my skin and my appliances. They got in contact with me and set me up with RainSoft. The RainSoft salesperson said, “It would take about two weeks to clear out your system and you'll see the difference.” I saw and felt the difference in three days. The initial cost was expensive, but I could afford it for what it was going to do for me. I was very happy that it wasn't just one of those schemes and then you get ripped off. Everything that the salesperson told me was true. The upkeep cost on it is nothing for me because I live alone. It's well worth it for me. My toilets are staying cleaner. My hair was in bad shape, too, and it really has done a lot for that. I also like drinking the water. It tastes really good.

Based on the piece of their equipment and how it worked and the type of salts they could use, I chose RainSoft because of the quality of the equipment and what they guarantee for service reliability. As I got the equipment installed, everything that I read and researched about it was true. It's working the best of any system I've ever had. The water is so much softer. Everybody else said you can remove the iron. This has removed 100% of the iron out of the system. However, I was told that I would receive a Home Depot gift card of $20 for just having them come out. I have not received that even though I sent the postcard in the very next day. I was told that I would receive a gift certificate for giving names of somebody else they could contact, but I haven't received that either. When we moved up to Hemet, somebody from another company reached out to us about a water treatment system and let us know that the water here wasn't that great. They did one of those presentations, then we were at Home Depot, and somebody there was walking around, trying to promote RainSoft. He said, “Oh, we can have somebody from RainSoft come out and do a little treatment.” I said, “Oh, well, we already know we have bad water.” He said we would get a $30 gift card just for having them come out and do the test.
They came over, and the promotion that they were offering was better and then we could go through Home Depot and be able to finance it and not have to pay any interest. We ended up pulling the trigger, and everybody we've dealt with has been very professional. The install ended up being a two-day process, but the guys that came out were very informative to let us know, “Hey, we have to stop for today, but we'll be back on this day. This is what we'll be doing. This is how we're gonna compensate you ‘cause it's taking a little bit more time.” It was an overall good experience.
Coming from San Diego, I don't know if they have bad water or how it is ‘cause I didn't even know people come out and test water. But even when the techs were doing the test, and they just have you wash your hands with the water that they have, it feels like your hands are always so much cleaner, like there’s still soap lingering on them. I kept trying to reach out to this sales rep in which he did not return my phone calls to tell them to come and get it. So long story short we have to pay for a water softener that's overpriced and has a interest in which you would never pay off making the minimum payment. This is very misleading to consumers especially when I know this rain soft was $4,000 and there are going around making it seem like this is a $10,000 product and that I got it for a discount for $8,000. I have well water and my water is very hard. I had a guy come out from RainSoft. He did a water test on my water and then we had the system put in. One mishap during the installation was that they drilled through my main water. So we had a little mess with that. I'm almost at the point of calling upper management. I've had trouble with this system, and I've only had it in a very short time. My water remains extremely high, hard water. The guy that installed the system had to come back out and test the water. He told me, "Try some iron out. Try Res Care. That's a chemical that's supposed to clean the basin." But RainSoft should be doing this. They should be making sure the system is good for my home. The system is very expensive.
I didn't feel that softness that they talked about until the last time the guy came out. It's a brand new house and I’ve been here in five months. My son had to flush the hot water tank, just to try to even all this out to make our water own up to the RainSoft pledge here. I'm getting a little bit frustrated with this. You're supposed to put your salt in it and walk away. But it’s been anything but that.

From the time of sale, I felt pressured by the partner to make a decision the same day that I had them visit to do the water assessment. It was probably because they were not giving me the exact models or more information about the system. They were just saying, “Oh, yes, small system is this, medium system is this.” But they were not telling me that it was RainSoft model rent, Model X, Y, and Z, and other details about the options. But I did ask questions and I got enough information for me to research online. So I found that information online versus what they provided.
The installation was good, except for the fact that when they were installing it, they didn't tell me that they needed to dig for the drain line that they were installing. So, they dug in the side of the house and they hit my internet fiber optic. They left me three days without internet. But overall, I'm happy with the system. The system is really good. I like that it’s set and forget. I don't have to do anything with it every day, except whenever it has an alarm or at the time we're filling the salt.

I knew it was would be a sales pitch. But I knew my mother-in-law could do the purifier for her water tank, so I signed her up for it. I won't do that again because RainSoft sent some wack out there.
The guy that came back to retest the system reset something on it. He set the salt setting to purify, to clean the RainSoft system out more. Because it has saltwater tanks just to clean the system. It cleans the filtration tank with saltwater and then it shoots it back in the ground, is what the guy explained to me. So, he set it different. And now the water is so soft it feels like I'm not washing the soap off of me. It's kinda softer than it has ever been. It's almost getting salt in the water. And I didn't want salt in my water.
