My wife wanted a water softener because she said we had hard water. We called Home Depot and they sent RainSoft out. The sales rep was really nice. He came in and did a bunch of different demonstrations and tests, showed us all the different filters and everything he had, and sat us down. That went great. We really liked it so we got the water conditioner.
The installation team was even better. They came out and were able to do things really quickly. They even were able to bury it a little bit 'cause it blocked one of our windows. We also had a little problem with them thinking that we didn't have power. But another guy came out and fixed it right away. It was really easy and simple. The system was expensive but we were ready for it. The quality is awesome. My wife loves it. The water makes a big difference, definitely noticeable. We're super happy with RainSoft.

Go with RainSoft. The presentation went well and it was what sold on the product. The overall demonstration that I received on the actual water quality was what I didn't get with the other company. Our water is softer.

I picked up a free water test at Home Depot and RainSoft called me with the results. They confirmed that I had hard water. The rep was very nice. He did his job in testing the water and telling me what the results were, and didn't push me to buy the system. The installation took a couple of hours. They did a neat job. They cleaned up everything afterwards, explained the system to me. It's a little on the expensive side, but I recommend it. I had a terrible problem with itching and it has helped with that a lot. And the water tastes better.

The sales rep of RainSoft was very knowledgeable and thorough when he presented the product. There was a lot of clarity. I knew what I was getting. I appreciate the fact that they were able to come out and get it done quickly. And it was a nice perk to be able to test out the new products with the new water system that they told me about.
The installation was good. We had a couple of issues, though. The water pressure in the kitchen decreased as they installed it. But it's fine everywhere else. They weren't able to resolve that particular issue, but they checked to make sure that the pressure was where it was supposed to be and it was. The water pressure in the rest of the house is fine. For some reason, it's just the kitchen. I'm not really sure if it's a plumbing issue or if I need a new faucet.

They did some demonstration to show me that the water that I'm using is not as clean as I thought it was. They showed me that the filter would make the water clearer than even the bottled water. Since having the system, the water tastes better. It's more soapy when I'm washing my clothes. So, I'm using less water. The clothes are more clean too. They told me that I have to change a filter in the system every year, another one every two years, and then the salt. Someone was supposed to come here to install something on my phone for it to be connected but no one ever showed up to do that. But I'm satisfied with RainSoft. It's been a good experience, so far.

I've been completely happy with RainSoft. It does what it needs to do. The installation was great. The guys did a wonderful job. They cleaned up after themselves. It looks very professional. The system itself is great. It filters the water and the water tastes a lot better. It doesn't smell like a pool when I'm taking a shower. I can also drink water right out of the tap, which is beautiful.

We got the system that has the drinking filter and it water softener. The whole visit was three hours. There are other systems that are good and cost less. But RainSoft installed the system fast. They said that I need to put more salt once a year. But I have it on the app so it would show me. They also said if there was something on the app that came up that I needed to take care of, I just have to call them. The water works on my skin. At the beginning, the water is a lot of salty. But it started becoming more normal. And the flavor is different because it doesn't have all the chlorine. So, it's good.

This is our first home so we wanted the best for our kids and ourselves. That's why we got RainSoft. We purchased a fridge with Home Depot, and the company offered us someone to come in and test out our waters. The guy did, and showed us the difference between regular tap water and RainSoft water. Everything works perfectly fine. I had to just add the salt that they sell at Home Depot every three to six months. The water is fresher and cleaner. I could notice it in our food, clothing, laundry, and sinks. The water is more than what we could ask for. Clean water is the best water we could ever have. It's legit.

The Florida Department of Energy was the one who offered to have somebody come out to do the pitch for RainSoft. And they gave a $50 Home Depot gift card. The presentation hit things that were most important to me. In Florida, the water is notoriously foul-smelling. We're technically safe to drink it, but we don't want to because it tastes like sewage water. The shower is also foul-smelling. It burned my eyes. RainSoft also let me know because it does the filtration system, there would be less sediment buildup so we would have less plumbing problems.
Mine is the standard reverse osmosis. It has worked very well. The water does not smell. No skin irritation around my eyes, which was huge. And my skin looks better. RainSoft said it usually has more of a silky texture as well. It could remove all the soap so there's not a bunch of stuff left over. Considering that everything else worked exactly as RainSoft said, I assume I would be good with the piping issue as well. It allows clothes to not smell as bad and you would not smell as bad getting out of the shower. And hopefully, it would save you some money in the long run without having plumbing issues.

The guy who came out was a little bit too thorough. My wife was getting a little frustrated that he wouldn't just tell us what the price was. But I understand he had a whole spiel to show us. And the more stuff he showed, the more I was interested. My wife is a no-nonsense person. She was interested right away but she was more and more convinced as it went along as well. Installation was seamless. Very clean job outside and they cleaned up after themselves. Everything looks fine. The water tastes better and there’s no smell since the system has been installed. It's definitely noticeably different. You wash your hands and the soap suds up a lot. RainSoft’s system is a very good product. We enjoy it and it’s very nice to know your water is safe. It’s peace of mind more than anything else.

We just got a new unit from RainSoft. The other one lasted for 20 years. We just love it. I went to check the salt and I could tell that we would need a new one because it didn't look good. The rep came and verified that, brought a new one the next day, installed it and we're all set. I use so much less soap to wash clothes. It's clean and my hair is getting back to normal. Before, I ended up getting conditioner from my hairdresser because my hair was so dried out from that city water. We're very happy with Rainsoft.

City water is terrible as it burns my skin and there's a high chlorine level. I was having issues with my skin. A sales representative called and we set the time for an appointment. He was a very polite, knowledgeable, and friendly young man. I got the water softener that strips out all the chlorine and makes the water more tolerable. An installer came and was very nice, but he left a hole in my wall and was supposed to come back and fix it. It took about two and a half weeks before he finally came back and I had to call and hunt him down to get him to come fix the hole in my wall. That was very frustrating.
They knowingly are installing these systems with defective boards on them. You're supposed to be able to connect to your Wi-Fi and download an app so that you can monitor your system. That is one of the reasons it cost nearly $10,000. They say they don't know which ones boards are defective so they're just putting them on there.
I happened to get a defective one and it doesn't work. I called and called and finally got somebody to talk to and it was supposedly the manager. He was quite condescending and he said, "Well, they're on backorder because of COVID." I asked why they were putting them in. He said, "Well, we don't know if they're defective until we find out they are." He said he didn't see what the big deal was as I was not being charged for it. And I said, "Yes, sir, everything is in with the cost. There's nothing free. And the reason I spent nearly $10,000 on the system was because one of the things was I could monitor the system and do all that. That was one of those things." He said, "Well, you know, it's not real hard to walk out there and look at it."
If I didn't have a system and if I didn't have a contract, I might get screwed and be out of money. I would have told him to come take it out of my house. I still have not fixed the board. They contacted me saying they wanted to come by and check how my system is working. I said, "You got a new board? Because I still have a defective board. So, you don't need to come check it until it's correct." They said, "Oh, no, we still don't have any new boards yet. When we get one, we'll come and put one in." I've had this since July.
Based on that, I would not recommend the company to anybody. I was very dissatisfied with the manager and the company knowingly putting in defective boards and having people sign contracts for new equipment knowing they were defective and then they're not fixing them. That aside, the people that I've talked to other than that manager were very nice. Also, there was been an improvement in our water. It doesn't burn my skin nearly as much and the chlorine smell's gone.

The rep was professional and very courteous. I got a water filtration system for my home. The first two guys who were scheduled for the installation had to reschedule. They said they couldn't do the job. They looked like they were hired off the street. A guy finally did it and did a great job. A follow-up QA came through and tested the water. It looked pretty pure from the test and I'm drinking my tap water. I get the soapy feeling when I shower which is always that way with the softener. Plus, there's no iron residue anywhere which has gotta be good for the dishwasher. I'm pleased overall but I'm not pleased with the price. It's definitely way more expensive than the other two systems I put in which were more robust than this.

We purchased the complete water softening system and the installers were on time. They were very neat and tidy. They also let me pick the spot where to put the salt container. The people I dealt with at our location in a town in Florida did a great job. They were very efficient, knowledgeable and informative. It was very good dealing with them. We got the water softener and we did the reverse osmosis tank on the kitchen sink. You can't drink the water down in Florida or where we are so it makes the water drinkable. The water is not perfect, but it's a whole lot better in terms of discoloration and odor. The installation team seemed to be very friendly and knowledgeable too. They asked me where I wanted to put things and it all worked out well. They were not too messy. The experience with RainSoft was excellent and very satisfactory.

I was shopping in Home Depot, and one of their employees came around with a clipboard and asked to interview me with respect to my home water scenarios. I agreed. He ultimately asked if I would mind being visited by a RainSoft representative. I said okay. We became almost good friends in the time that the rep was there. We talked about getting together outside of his doing what he was doing and our doing what we were doing. We haven't done that since, but we have an awful lot in common. We liked him a lot. We purchased the whole house filtration system. The installer was also likable, approachable, helpful and did a good job with what he did. Since having Rainsoft, I have not seen any scale buildups anywhere in the house. And that was one of the primary reasons why I wanted to get Rainsoft. I've been happy with that.

The rep that did the presentation was good. He got the point over real good. The installers did a walkthrough once everything was installed. Now, the water is softer and I don't have that smell in it like it was. The guy told me that the little faucet that they put on the sink seems to be putting out air every once in a while and that it would quit. But I've run way beyond that gallon.

The guy who came out and did the water test was really informative about how the RainSoft system affects the water, clothes, and all aspects of the house. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, directed us where we needed to go, and fitted us with what we needed. Also, he didn't try to sell us any extras. He mentioned about the benefits of having the equipment on the sink, but we decided to pass on that one. The next day after his visit, the installers came out and installed our system.
Since then, the stains are gone in the toilets. The ones in the sink, we have to scrub those out, but we don't have any further buildup. My wife could really feel the difference in the bath water in the way she felt in her skin after taking a bath or shower. Then, you use a lot less chemicals like dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, and bath soap. So, it all adds up. The system is pricey, but not out of reach and you get it all back over time if you're patient. Aside from that, the application process for the financing was pretty easy. They walked us through, linked us up with a financer, and everything went through smoothly.

My aunt has known Carol who sold us the RainSoft system. So, I asked her if she would come out and give us a demonstration and she didn't leave until we had one and we love it. We have the water treatment system and the water softener. We got the reverse osmosis. Everything is set up to remind me online and on the phone app. Very little maintenance. It's automated on the actual system itself. It has little bars that would tell me when I need to refill the salt and I would get a text when the filters need to be replaced, which is once a year, and another one is every three years. The water is softer, hte glasses are cleaner, and the bathtub stays cleaner longer. The good-tasting, reverse osmosis water is amazing.

My mom got with RainSoft, and they went out to her house. She told me about that, then I had them come out to our house to do their tests. They showed us our water, and they put different chemicals in to show the chloride content. We got the water softener and there's a reverse osmosis with it. One of the main things different is the taste in our drinking water. Our clothes seem to get a little cleaner and they smell a little fresher too. Also, my skin hasn't felt as dry after showering, and I haven't had to use as much lotion. My daughter has a bit of eczema, and for the past couple of months we've had RainSoft, it seems to be clearing up a little. I don't know if I can give all credit to that, but I will give a lot.
If people ask me what I think about RainSoft, my first thing is, "Just let them come out." Our experience has been very easy, pleasant and friendly, and they have not been pushy. When I was telling my wife about RainSoft, she said, "Well, I don't want them to come in and make us feel bad or force us or anything." It hasn't been anything like that. It has been a good experience. So far, we haven't been too long into it, but the process of everything has gone smooth. The price looks big up front, but it breaks down to monthly payments, which aren't too bad. RainSoft has helped us with our health and other different things as well.

RainSoft has been wonderful. In one prior residence, I had sulfur water and they put a filter system in to take care of that. Then we built a new house about three years ago and this year, we've come up with heavy iron in our water. So they came out and put a system in to take care of that. I bought it one day and they installed it the next. It treats the entire home and for maintenance, we just put about a bag a month of salt in it. You just open the lid on it, look in it, and see how much is in it. It's got marks on the side, so you will see your level of the salt. The system has made a big difference. Our water tastes just like clean spring water and our sinks and toilets are not stained with the common iron rust-looking cover they get.

I've only had the system for a month and I wasn't supposed to add salt for six to nine months. That aside, I've mentioned RainSoft to friends and I've asked them if I can use them for a referral. Plus, we got really nice products with the system for our dishwasher as well as hand soap and dish detergent. The installation was quick and easy. They called us a couple of weeks later to have somebody test the water again which was really nice. The first time, we weren't available but they were persistent and they called us again.
We've been pleased with the system. It's convenient and we like the taste of the water. I also put the water in my plants and they seem to be living longer. We also don't give our dog spigot water anymore. We also see a difference in our skin. I've had people tell me, "What are you doing? Did you get Botox injections?" I said, "No, I'm just drinking pure water now and not chemicals." I'm trying to get some of my friends to use RainSoft. I highly recommend it. They have excellent service and an excellent product.

He made sure we were okay with everything and went over how it all worked. So that went well.
When you're washing your hands, you could feel when it's soft water. And where I used to live, you had to have water softeners because the groundwater was so hard. So, I knew we needed the RainSoft system. We ran out of salt recently and then I refilled it, and it took a couple of days for it to kick back in. This morning, I just started feeling it again. The salt ran out because I was told by the sales guy that he was gonna call a month out to schedule another test. But two months went by and I didn’t get a call and didn't even think about it. The alarm was off for the low salt and when I finally checked and it was just about out, I went in and I set the alarm. So next time, it'll warn me. We got the drinking water filter too.

I was strolling through Home Depot one day and a young lady came by. She started asking about the water treatment system and I said that I didn't have anything at the moment. She said, "Well, can we come by and test your water and show you all the nasty things that are in it?" I agreed. The town we moved up here from had some of the best acidic water around. After seeing what was in the water, I accepted the offer to put in the RainSoft system.
The installer was a genius. He put the system in a spot better than I had picked for it. It was late in the day. On this side of Florida, we get some pretty good squalls in the evening. Just about sundown, one rolled in. I was thinking, "Well, he's gonna go away and finish it tomorrow." But he insisted he stayed and he put a spotlight on his forehead. I held an umbrella over him and he got the job done.
Our water was a little on the hard side. But there have been changes since RainSoft came in. I have two cars and I enjoy the little one on the driveway and washing it myself. It used to be that after I rinsed it off, if I didn't get shammy on the glass right away and get rid of the water spots, there would be mineral deposits on the glass. The first time I washed the little car with the RainSoft water, the phone rang and I was distracted. I got back to the car and said, "Oh, no. I'm gonna have to really hit the windshield hard." But there wasn't a single spot on it.
Our cleaning lady came in and said, "Have you been scrubbing the shower door?" I said, "No. You did it the last time you were here." She said, "Well, yeah. Usually, you have some buildup on the shower door that I have to hit pretty hard to get off. It's not there now." The new water took off the old stains since the last time she was here. It's been a wonderful experience.

Dealing with the sales rep was unnecessary because we knew we had hard water and we knew we wanted a water softener. So, it seemed like that added more to the process. I get it. It’s probably a little add-on to help sell the water filter, the drinking, and the washing machine thing. We probably could have gone with the water filter but we wouldn't have done the washing machine thing. I wasn’t impressed with it at all and I'm wishing we didn't get that. We had the filtered water run to the fridge. That way, it gets our ice too. And we have a refrigerator that has the water and ice in the door. So, we lost a little water pressure coming out of that, which we can live with. It isn't cool but we're getting a better quality of water. I like the soft water. It feels better whenever we're cleaning stuff and my hands don't seem to be drying out as much. The filtered water is great. It tastes way better than what we had.
I still haven't been able to hook the EC5 up to my internet so I can get the alerts and all on my phone. But that's part of user error on my behalf. The head unit for the water-softening device, the EC5, should be able to hook up to our network. But our network can either do 2G or 5G. The EC5 won't do 5G. So, if I have my phone set to 5G, it won't hook up through my phone. And when I finally realized that I need to put my phone on the 2G side, I already got tired of dealing with it and I figured I would deal with it another day. At some point in time today, I'm going to make sure that my phone is on the 2G side. And I'm gonna go out there and I'm gonna try it again. The price versus expectations wasn't there but everything is well and overall, we are satisfied with RainSoft.

My purifier was just taking the chlorine out of the water, but it wasn't making my water soft. The product from RainSoft does both. I felt that it was critical to get that done. The installation went smoothly. I'm a one-person household so I don't use a lot of water. But it is set up as far as softening the water, according to the test kit that they did.

RainSoft did a comprehensive two-hour water test. The individual that came out was very dynamic and very convincing that my partner and I thought it would be a good idea to invest in something that would improve our health. The installation went out very smoothly and without any issue. The staff was very nice. They were very flexible. They worked around our schedule. I was home during the installation. So, I was able to watch the step-by-step process. Now that we have the system, we enjoy drinking the water because it's tasteless. The softer water is really nice to take showers in and wash clothes. We're able to use less detergent. So, we have noticed a very positive difference. I would recommend RainSoft to anybody who's looking for a system.

I purchased the water softener and the reverse osmosis under the sink from RainSoft. It was 24 months, interest-free through Home Depot. The installation went great. Now, I always feel like I got soap left on me, but I know I don't because of the soft water. So that makes it special. We've been very pleased with everything.

The rep who did the water test was excellent, very professional, and very kind. He did a sample on our water, told us what was the matter with it, and we talked about it. Next thing you know, we signed the paperwork and they installed it. We went for a system for the whole house. The installation took a couple hours and they showed me exactly where everything was. We were very pleased with RainSoft's service. The telephone numbers are on the box if we have any problems and we got the maintenance people coming in every six months to look at it for a year.

I knew the water was bad, so I let RainSoft Water Treatment Systems stop by and test the water. The rep was very knowledgeable, polite, knew what she was talking about, and showed me samples. The installer came the next day with his truck. I was working on the laundry room so I had a nice clear space ready. So, it worked out perfectly. I had the whole product. I got the two big tall filters and the big old box that was full of salt. The washing machine is different. And when we take a shower, it's smoother and softer. I will refer friends to RainSoft.

RainSoft's rep did a phenomenal job. He showed me the difference between my water that I was using and the water from RainSoft's system. The product really impressed me and it's the best purchase I've ever made. I had no idea how much water affects your skin and it was remarkable. I also have a filter and the water from it feels fresh.
When the system was installed, only one man came out and I felt sorry for him. He was taking out my old water heater and he thought he could get it up the stairs. But he only got halfway up, then he ended up just sitting there with the water tank for about 30 minutes for his counterpart to come help to take the rest of the stairs. Other than that, he did a really good job. The installation took at least two hours and when he demonstrated how to use the equipment, he knew what he was doing. I would tell my friends that if they really want to see the difference in their skin, they should do the demos to have the RainSoft reps really show them.

RainSoft's salesman went through the systems and he was very knowledgeable. The installer was fantastic and he did an excellent job. He should be commended for that. We've been very happy with the system and it's complete, so it's everything we wanted. And the nice thing is that, if you move, you just take it with you. RainSoft will hook it up at our next house if we decide to have one, so we like that too. But we didn't realize the interest rate was that high on it and we're looking to pay off a large portion of it on the next month or so. Besides that, the water is great under that tap now and there's no comparison. We would recommend it and we'd do it again, if we have to.

It was an easy process from the beginning. RainSoft's rep was a nice guy. He came out and introduced himself, showed his credentials, and asked about the water situation. He asked if we would like to see a demonstration, check our water, and I said, “Sure. Let's check it.” Because I knew it was bad. He proceeded to do so. It proved that the water was bad. Once I had committed to the purchase, two days later, the people came and tied into the system, mounted the outside, and tested the water. Everything was good after that. It was two hours once they had to dig down to find the connection going into the house by the garage. We had a lady who came out from the office area. We went outside and opened the system up, and she explained how the thing works. Our water is a lot softer. We don't have to use as much soap or any kind of laundry material.

One was he took our tap water and took a cloth that I had already cleaned. He shook it and we could see all the soap coming out because it wasn't being thoroughly rinsed with this hard water. We had the whole system, even the drinking water under the sink. Our water tastes better now and laundry is a lot cleaner. I can use bar soap without being all dried out and I see a difference in my hair. I would highly recommend RainSoft.

First home buyer and I sadly started off with agreeing to a $10,000 loan pretty much through RainSoft to buy a water softener. First off, original tech came out and did a hack job of installation. So I answered a rain soft call for basically spot checking how everything is going. Rain soft sent their best tech and he was honestly only reason I stayed with the product cause if not, I would’ve bypassed it and leave it in my garage to rot. But I can’t tell if it works or not honestly, but besides the product and the fact after I give the company $10000 dollars I still have to pay for services or he'll pay for the routine maintenance they have to come out and do? Cool, I’ll pay the monthly amount needed so I don’t have a default on my credit report.
But I advise everyone who does those at home test, DO NOT BUY IT OR LISTEN TO THEIR CRAP. You can install one yourself and maintain it yourself for significantly cheaper. Talking thousands of dollars cheaper. And the best part, no Legal binding paying contract. When I sell this house, I’m leaving the softener with it and paying out the contract with the use the equity I make off the home. Your product works, that’s it. Now after reading through all these reviews, I hope people listen and steer clear of Rainsoft and their financial burdens they place on families. If I could get out of it, I would.
We reached out to the selling dealership in Jacksonville, Florida and received the following history regarding this install and equipment:
The customer was originally installed on March 6, 2021. He first complained about his yard being flooded on March 14, 2021, and blamed our drain installation. We attempted to go to the customers home to evaluate and repair any issues we found. However, due to heavy rains we were experiencing in Jacksonville, we had to cancel the service call and asked the customer to call us when the yard was dry. On March 30, 2021, we went to the customers home and found the yard still too wet to make any repairs. On April, 26, 2021, we repaired the yard, added dirt to relevel the area. At that time the customer was satisfied with the repair.
One year later the customer called on March 14, 2022, stating the grass on the side of his house was dead. The same issue we had the year before was occurring, heavy rains and his side yard was totally flooded, delayed our service call until March 16, 2022. At that time we removed the rain line from the side yard that had poor drainage and ran a new drain line to his sewer, using a air gap to properly complete this job and satisfy the customer.
We have not had any further complaints from this customer.
On March 17, 2023, we called the customer to set up a annual service call and filter change for his HydreFiner II. He asked us to call back in 30 days. Based on our records we have not had any further contact with the customer.
At this time it appears the dealership is unaware of any issues the customer is experiencing with their RainSoft equipment. We ask that they please contact their dealer to schedule an appointment so that any issues can be addressed.

Everything was great from the initial consultation, the demo, to the quote and the communication and the installation. I had to contact RainSoft Water Treatment Systems for post-sale support for a quick question about something to walk me through it, and they were great as well. We went with the full system in the house. We went with the reverse osmosis system, which was the whole driving factor due to the previous arguments that are presented or, issues with the Chemours and the DuPont lawsuits for the water supply. We also decided to go with the whole house carbon filtration system. We went with their water softener as well.
The gentleman that's a RainSoft dealer in the area has been doing this for a while from the discussions we had and the information I read. He has his go-to guy, Mike, who I spoke with, and he was the primary person on the installation along with two other gentlemen. One of them was a trainee and the other two had been doing this for a while and they did an excellent job. Great customer service.
You can read the manual, but there's no substitute for having the installer there. You don't get any substitute for the installer being in your house like, "What are you doing? Why are you doing this? Will it take care of this? What should I look out for? Best practices." He was very courteous and answered all my million questions. He said he hooked up the reverse osmosis system to our refrigerator. And we have another refrigerator in a mud room area and the waterline wasn't hooked up for that one and he hooked it up and took care of that as well. He went above and beyond to do that for my family, which was nice.
The reason we got the water softener and the carbon filtration system is they take all the VOCs out of water and we take showers, and my kids take baths. So, not only the drinking water is great, but we've eliminated a lot of the toxic pollutants out of the water supply that comes to the house. Everything has been great. I hope it continues that way. It has been a very positive experience and we've been happy with the product. It came with a lifetime warranty. And if we ever moved, we could take the system with us.

But after that, everything went smoothly. They got someone over to help with the installation due to the fact that they had to run the water connection through a different way. They gave an app which is supposed to alert me to let me know when the salt is low. However, they gave me all of this soap but didn't give me containers to put it in, to mix it. Rainsoft tested our water, and it was horrible. The guy showed us how the filter worked and told us to wash our hand with just one hand, and we could feel the difference in our hand. They came out on a Friday and the system was installed in our laundry room on a Monday. It filters throughout the whole house, and we feel a difference in the shower, when washing our hands, and even when rinsing our mouth after brushing our teeth. Our old water had a bit of a taste and we did not drink it before. We just gave it to our dog. Now, it doesn't have a taste to it.
It's the best water I've ever had. Also, our icemaker was not working in our refrigerator. The water that we had plugged it up and we thought we'd have to tear it apart and defrost it. Within about three days, the icemaker started working again. It cleaned itself up. They say, for a refrigerator, you don't ever have to put the filter back in your refrigerator because with the Rainsoft filter, it'll filter the water itself. If people have ever priced out one of the filters for any of their refrigerators, they're expensive. We have a Samsung, and we've never replaced it.

We've been having issues with our plumbing from the hard water deposits. I knew that that was the problem. And when RainSoft's sales person came out and talked to us about it, it became even more apparent that that was the problem. I liked him a lot. He was awesome. The amount of hard water deposits is night and day. We got a filter for the tank. There was an air bubble in there and it stuck around. So, we had to have a tech come out and bleed that or do whatever he did. And it immediately got fixed. That was also a dramatic difference because the water was slow coming out and it was cloudy. And as soon as they did whatever they did to fix that, that went away.

I had to get a whole new unit because the carbon tank was breaking down and it was plugging up my plumbing. I had to end up paying $500 for a plumber to come out and fix my pipes. The shower and the toilets weren't working. We had no idea why but the plumber was smart enough to identify that there was a residue. Whatever the carbon was that was breaking down was starting to come into the house and plug up the pipes, which could have been a disaster. He was the one who turned off the water softener and said, "Don't use this. You gotta have them come out and you're gonna have to get a new one.
I called Rainsoft and a guy came out. He was very knowledgeable. He suggested for us to get a separate tank so that was what we did. He said it's probably only gonna last three to five years. He suggested that we go into a program for 20 bucks a month where if anything goes wrong, they'll come out and service it. If it starts to break down, they'll replace it. At the time, I had to cough up $2,500 for a brand new system so I told him I'd have to consider doing the program another time.
I've had to have the plumber come out again because we had more problems with the pipes. That was another $300. But hopefully, now it's fixed and we won't have to have the plumber come out anymore. I'm happy with the system because I'm happy with the water. If I had to do over again, I would purchase it again. It's gonna preserve the plumbing in the house a lot longer than if we didn't have the system, just as long as the system is functioning at its proper level and it's not breaking down.
When Rainsoft sold me the system five years ago, they never told me that there's a possibility of it breaking down. I had the maintenance come out every year and check it. Nobody ever mentioned anything about that, until all of a sudden, I had a plumbing problem. Something that would be helpful is when they sell these, they need to let people know that it isn't gonna last forever. I remember them saying that if I ever left the home and moved, I could take it with me. If I could take it with me, I was assuming it was gonna last forever.

I have been a customer of RainSoft for over 40 years. When I moved into my house in Florida I naturally ordered a RainSoft water softener. I have had horrible service ever since. I shudder to think what I am in for for the life of the water softener. I called for the first year's service and then when I called back the next year they said I hadn't paid them. That my credit card was denied. I have a 840 credit score and sorry... why didn't you just call me? So I never called again until it stopped working UNDER 5 YEARS OLD. He has been here once and said that the bolts on the casing were damaged and I needed a new part and was still under warranty so if it didn't pull salt in the next two weeks to schedule another appointment.
After I already paid this charge from 4 years ago and a service charge. They were supposed to come yesterday. When I called to confirm twice with the person in "customer service" kind of a oxymoron for this company, he was very rude and said, "They have until 10:30 to call you and schedule." So I sat around my house for another TWO hours only to find out when I called another extension that the service guy was at the hospital with his wife because she had an emergency that morning. What??? What kind of customer service is this? I have no choice. The stupid thing is still under warranty and I don't want to have to pay for an entire new unit and why is it not working at 5 years anyhow?
I am so sorry I didn't shop these things better and just went on past experience. This company out of Orlando is horribble, just terrible customer service. I shudder to think what is going to happen on the next scheduled service. I mean can you fix it or is there going to be additional customer abuse? I really wish I would have gone with another company. I don't like the fact that they are so bothered by me calling in for service.

I like the system and the team that installed it was great. The people we interfaced with explained everything and answered any questions we had. When we first moved here, our stainless steel sink looked spotty even after I scrubbed it. But after the first two days that we had RainSoft, I notice how shiny my sink became because of the softener. Everyone should have their water tested because nowadays, with all the things that are being put in the ground, health-wise, it's an option that really should be normal instead of selective. I would also tell my friends not to take my word for it, just have their water tested and see the difference.

The install person was great but the finance person sucked. We were quoted one thing when the rep was here doing the demonstration. The rep told me six months before my first payment, but the finance person told me three months. I do customer service. All she had to do was explain it to me but not be rude about how she explained it. I happened to talk to the owner, and he apologized for her. Everybody else at RainSoft was great. At first, I wouldn't drink the water out the faucet. Now my water is double filtered because there's a filter up under the sink too. I'm loving the water. I don't have to spend all that money on water anymore.

We got the full house water filtration and the drinking water system. The installation guy was good. He came and explained what he was gonna do from the crawl space. He had to drill up the pipe that expels the water once a day down there. He told us how he was gonna drill into the counter and asked where we wanted it. There was one point where he needed something that he didn't have, so he ran out to Lowe’s then came back and explained how to work it. He explained to me how to add salt when I needed to and how I could connect the system to my phone. My husband drinks a lot of water, and he said it tastes better. My coffee tastes better. My son's girlfriend was here and stayed with us for two weeks. She has a lot of acne on her face. By the time she left, her skin was almost clear. She was floored by it.

The sales rep who came out to my home was phenomenal. He really gave such an intricate demonstrations. It was really a great experience. I got the reverse osmosis, the three canisters that go underneath the sink, and then we have the other big filter things and the thing you put salt in. The installation team was very professional. They did a great job. You wouldn't even know that they were there. They were on time. They were very respectful and clean. They also answered any questions we had and they went through and explained all the different parts and how to look at the little meter thing. Since having the system, you can tell a difference in the drinking water as well as the dishwasher and the laundry.
Rainsoft is a wonderful company to have out at your home. They're very respectful of your things and they do take the time to explain everything. Every question that we had, they answered. They don't look at you like, "Oh, that's a stupid question." They were an excellent team. The system is a little pricey, but it's worth it with the end result that you're gonna get from it. RainSoft came in. The guy took samples. He explained the step for step. He went as far as going on the website showing me that, “You got X amount of sulfur and this can cause cancer.” He did a good job of explaining everything. That guy was very thorough. I asked him, "Are you thorough just because you work for this company?" He said, "No, sir. I have the same system in my house."
This system plugs up to my water supply before the water ever enters to my house. Once I saw that mess that was in that water, it was disgusting. I'm touchy when it comes to cancer. I thought, "What if this water treatment system can lessen my chances? I can't think of a better investment to make." My main water line is at the rear of my house. So, that's where the system is. If I drag the hose around the back where it comes off the main, I can wash my car and if I don't dry it off, there are no water spots.

I was perfectly satisfied with every aspect of the service. Our water is nice, soft and leaves our skin better now. Rainsoft is a nice product. The only concern I have is we still get this black residue coming out of our faucets and black rings in the toilet. However, the water has improved by 90% of what it was before we put the system in. I also like that I can take the system with me when I go, or I can leave it at the house as an added feature if and when I sell it. That's a big plus. They also sent us this bag of free samples and we're still using it. My cleaning lady said she was very pleased with how well they cleaned.

He promised more things than they were capable of doing. Out in the sideyard, we have a big slab of cement and we wanted to put it out there. He said, "It could be done." I had it financed and everything went good. The date that I put in was on the 28th, and I told the finance person that was when I want my payment to come out, but once it went through the finance part of it, they had it coming out the 7th. We finally got that straightened out, but when the bill came, it still came on the 7th. I tried to explain to the rep the finance person and I had already talked about this and the bill's gonna be on the 28th. He said it was in the system for the 7th. He was friendly and he showed us some samples of our sink water versus our water filter that we had and then his water filter. So we were comparing all of them to see all the particles and stuff that were inside the water. He put a solution then it dyed minerals and made it float to the bottom. That convinced us to make the purchase and we ended up getting a water softener system with a reverse osmosis water filter under the sink. The guy who came to help us with the installation was really helpful, too. The sink that we had before didn't fit exactly, so we got a new one and he helped us install it.
Ever since we started using RainSoft, the water in our showerheads don't get crusty or clogged up. So we don't even have to clean it as often as we used to it and it’s a big thing. Whenever you drink the water, you don't get the harsh taste and mostly, it's pretty clear. The best thing is, you don't have to spend money on water bottles. You're completely safe to drink from the tap. Also, when we cook stuff with it, usually the food stays better for a little bit longer. And when we clean with it, it doesn’t leave streaks most of the time. For my skin, it is a little bit softer. I noticed it in the hair as well since it is not as dry as before. Then, when I wash my car, it's really cool because I don't get water spots on it since there's nothing in the water. They sent Jake out to my house with a more in-depth test that he did right there in front of me. He went over all of the things that were found in my water and my parts per million. He couldn't determine what those were because there are hundreds of different nitrates. Then he showed me some of the options and described how they work and what they would do to treat my water.
The installers of my Rainsoft came and I showed them where the stuff was gonna be hooked up at. They unhooked my water softener that was in my basement that wasn't working. They easily described everything, how it was gonna work, how they were gonna set it up and went from there. Everything was good. One service guy was in the basement doing the water softener, and the other service guy was upstairs doing the reverse osmosis under the kitchen sink. They called me back on some concerns I had that I called in on, and explained a few more things to me as far as operations or controls of my system, and how I can check levels and change my time settings. They explained to me that the system that I got is a smart system that regenerates itself, as far as it calculates itself when it needs to regenerate based off of water usage and things for the house.
They also came back out the very next day and gave me their sweat jackets for my tanks completely free to put over my tanks to help with condensation, in the warmer seasons. I would definitely use them again and get the system again if I, in the future, move or purchase another house. The water also has been great. My tubs and toilets aren't turning orange anymore. It's probably the best the water's been since I've lived there.

The sales rep was well prepared and presented a clean representation of what the water system was to do. The installer was cordial, professional and got the system installed fairly quickly. He was a good guy. He was there to get the job installed. Since having it installed, the water tastes better. I had a problem connecting with RainSoft on their wireless stuff but they came out and replaced the board, and I’ve had no problem since. When we were going through the run-through on installation, they were receptive to questions and answered them thoroughly to my most liking.

We got the whole house system and then the one under the sink from RainSoft. The installation was very fast and efficient. We had a very friendly installer. Whenever the control panel tells us, we can call RainSoft to change out the filters. If we were to have a sprinkler system or heavy watering, there's a valve on top that we have to reverse the direction. They left their numbers. They came out when the county inspector was here and made sure everything was good. We're happy.

The guy that came in with the testing kit and sold us the system was good. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He was very detailed with the cost, and he described the soaps, how the system works, and the maintenance that's involved. Everything was good. We got two tanks in the basement, a salt bin and a unit that goes into the ductwork for the HVAC system. We also got the under-the-sink filtration system for the drinking water.
The tech that installed the system was very good as well. He was super knowledgeable and he went above and beyond to describe the system, how it works, how it cleans itself and what the filter does for the HVAC system. Plumbing was nice and neat. He was very fast and he was in and out with no problem. Rainsoft is so expensive, but everything was 100% professional. Everything, from start to finish, was perfect.

We have well water and we were concerned about garbage in the water. It was turning our clothes, toilet, and shower brown. We had to do something because I was sick of my whites being brown. We went to Home Depot and they referred us to RainSoft. The first gentleman that came out to give us the estimate was marvelous. He was very polite and he had good knowledge of what he was explaining to us.
It's just my husband and me in the home so we didn't need a very large unit. We also went with the reverse osmosis under the kitchen sink, which I use daily. We got our water softener system put in two months ago. For the first time since we got our system, we put salt in there. That cost 6 bucks. As far as the filters, we don't need to do anything for one year. Cost-wise, the ones under the kitchen sink are $100 a piece. I've got three of them under there. It's no big deal.
My drinking water now tastes like bottled water that you buy at the grocery store, except I don't have to pay for it. My hot water still has a slight odor to it. The gentleman that initially came out said that that will happen until I drain my hot water heater. I have not done that yet because it's just so cold. He said, "When the water softener system goes in, what you're gonna have to do is shut your hot water heater off and hook up the hose and drain it out my back door." We have a walk-out basement. He said, "Clean the ion diodes or the rods that are in it." And we knew that.
We had those replaced a few years back and it only was two weeks short-lived to get rid of that rotten egg smell. It's a matter of just emptying out the tank and wiping out the inside of the tank the best we can and fill it back up. My friends at are all rooting for me to get my water softener in. I told them what a fantastic choice RainSoft was for us. It was the best thing I've done for our new home.

We have a RainSoft water softener with the salt and a reverse osmosis system underneath the sink on top of the soft water for the whole house. I was able to get rid of my Sparkletts which is 60 bucks a month they were delivering. Since I moved up here, all of a sudden, I developed a skin rash. With the RainSoft system installed, the soft water is already starting to help my skin. It feels like you can't get soap off your body. It's so soft. Also, you don't have to use as much soap in your laundry detergent. Another thing is they give you so many points with this company as part of the package. They sent me a whole box of stuff. It's super concentrated laundry soap, dish soap, hand soap, shampoo, and window cleaner.
You have to keep salt in there. I went and bought two 40-pound bags of salt. That was when I noticed that the computer screen wasn't working. I went to update the computer that I added the salt, but I didn't have anything on the screen. That was when I called in. Apparently, the brain on the computer system on it fried. It's gonna be two to three weeks before they get another one in.

I have a friend that lives in Washington State and he purchased a water softener. He was telling me the differences, so I started looking into it. I started reviewing water softener companies almost eight months ago, then I had a bunch of different companies come out to my home and give me a quote. They did the water test, then I watched YouTube videos and read a lot of reviews. Water softeners all do the same thing, give or take, but it was the customer service that made me go with RainSoft. The rep from the company, Chesapeake, followed up and gave me a phone call. To me, to contact me every month to see if I had made a decision and to answer any of my questions was good customer service.
The techs who installed the system were awesome. They came, explained everything and they were finished before they said they were. Their plumbing guy also brought me in the basement and pointed out some other things to me plumbing-wise. It was spot-on, and I give him A++. We've experienced major differences since we had the system installed. The water is softer. You can tell the differences when it's on your skin and even in the shower, leaving the dry water spots that you had with regular water. RainSoft has a great product, and we haven't had any issues. The wife is happy, and if she's happy, I'm happy.

I ended up purchasing the RainSoft water purification system and since it was installed, the water feels so good. But the way the water felt at first, it doesn't feel that way anymore. Before, if I was taking a shower, the water would be slippery and stayed slippery for a long time. But it's not like that anymore. I need to call them and ask if it's normal for it to be that way or if someone could come out, take a quick look at it and let me know. Everything else is great.

When he used chemicals to separate the water and the other stuff that it had in there, it looked like sand. He said that the water softener will take this away and it will make the food taste better. The gentleman that came out did exactly what I asked him to, took my old, broken down, over-the-counter system out. Put theirs in and cleaned up after themselves. Then came within another 24 hours to get the last of the large trash off the back of my property. It was all said and done within 48 hours.
I have well water, and I had a lot of sediment in my system. I just had done some remodeling work and replaced a bunch of fixtures. My sink fixtures and my shower fixtures were constantly clogged. Now, that has completely stopped. The water also feels better. There's no smell to it. I used to get the occasional sulfur smell in there from my well. I've noticed it in general cleaning, the dishes don't get the same kind of water spots. There are no hard water stains on anything. It's a marked change from what my original well water was. He was very detailed, friendly, and nice. From beginning to end, he was very professional. It was a really good experience.
The water test was very lengthy. He did several things. He showed me a towel that I had and the soap was still in it. He did a little test tube with the silt in it. It was very thorough. He had a little water softener of his own that he hooked up to show me my hard water. In his little bucket, he put my towel in there and he showed me that there was still soap present in there. It didn't rinse out all the way.
He showed me several systems and he also showed me stuff that I could buy on my own at Lowe's. He gave me all the options from cheapest to most expensive. I got the gold package. It wouldn't hold a curl until I got the soft water.
It's not very hard to do the upkeep. I checked it the other day and I'm still at 75% salt. I have a 25-year warranty. It's really good. I've shared with everybody about RainSoft. Another came out for upstairs, and they took care of it right away. The water is perfect. It comes out aerated, settles down, and it's clear. Then, they show you how to monitor and make sure that you have salt in the water softener tank. The app has reminders so you can check the salt level remotely and it'll tell you if there are any issues with the system or it gives you some stats on how much water you filtered and when you should expect to add salt. It is also really good for your skin. One of the reasons I wanted it too is because I have sensitive skin and my old lady seems to like to buy all these fancy soaps. Now, my skin is smoother and it's not drying out or breaking out.
The guys that came and installed the system and the salesman that came by the house and sold it to me were slap-up guys. You could not ask for better explanations. The salesman was at my house till 2:30 in the morning. He was having to sell me a product. I like to learn, so I've studied a lot of the water softener stuff over the last couple of years, and he explained everything to me thoroughly and answered every question I had. I said, "Well, I've got to buy it now because I can't prove you wrong."
I could not ask for a better system. It doesn't have any routine maintenance or routine maintenance items like filters that you have to change periodically. You add the salt to the receptacle, and it tells you when it's low, you add more. I don't know the consumption rate of it yet because I haven't had to add any, but they told me a four-person family would last about six months-worth tank of salt.

The representative from RainSoft was really nice, polite, very kind, and showed up on time. He did a great job. The technicians did really good, too. They worked pretty diligently and pretty quickly and gave quick suggestions. When the gentleman came out after the system was installed and tested again, the water was great. The system improved our life in so many aspects.

From the water testing I had through Home Depot, RainSoft called and we set up the first Saturday I was available, and they installed the system that Sunday. The technician was great. He was quiet. Once I got the system in, I cleaned my teapot with vinegar and got all the scaling off of it again. It has been crystal clear since. I've had the system now for a couple of months. I really appreciate it. It's an excellent system and it's doing a great job. I'm really happy about the fact that they don't own stock in salt because it takes so little salt to do such a great job.

The guy who did the presentation was phenomenal and very knowledgeable. He answered all the questions that we had and the demonstration was fantastic. Then, the installation was quick and easy and I love the system. We don't have to buy any water bottles anymore and our skin feels great. It’s an amazing product. If you're thinking about getting any type of water softener or anything like that, you need to do this.

Their reps were very professional and knowledgeable. We got a two-tank water softener that does minerals and chlorine. We really like it. It also has charcoal and resins to get rid of the minerals. Since the installation, our water has tasted better. Also, when we wash, we don't feel our skin is as dry. Also, it's easier to clean things. You don't get deposits on your glassware when you take them out of the dishwasher.

20 years ago, I bought a RainSoft system. Once you get used to one, you won't ever want to live without a water treatment system.

Their reps came to my home and they spent time looking over everything and I think that they were fair. Also, I wasn't going to go look anywhere else because I didn't have the time and I needed things done right away so it was convenient. They installed the system and it cleaned all of the pipes as it was going through the house. The ultimate problem was I had to get a new water heater. But without the RainSoft system, getting a new water heater doesn't help. Everything that's already in the pipes made the other water unsafe. I felt better having the water softener and that everything is getting cleaned. They also helped with the furnace, so that was good.
But I'm still confused because they're supposed to give these free products. I chose my free products but I have to call again because I don't know how to get them. They gave a certificate to redeem the products but last time I called, the rep said they don't have me in the system. This is a little more difficult than I thought.

The installation team did a super job. Not only did they help by installing the water softener, but they offered to put in a new kitchen sink faucet for us while they were putting in the reverse osmosis system for our drinking water. That was something they didn't have to do. Since the installation, the system has helped us monitor our water usage. Secondly the water is 156% better than it was, especially with the reverse osmosis for drinking and being able to separate. It's been a great system. We really like it.

Setting up my consultation was very good and everybody loved it. The rep and the tech who installed the system were knowledgeable. We had a drinker water system installed and we are satisfied. The entire system is almost $10,000 which I wasn't expecting. But other than that, everything is okay. Before, when we were washing our dishes, I used to see water spots. Now, those are gone. Also, I had to clean my washroom every week and now I can skip one week. There is no residue. I'm happy the system has reduced my job as well.

I got a complete system from RainSoft. There's a treatment outside. There's also a filter for drinking inside. In the past, I buy water. But now, since having RainSoft, I don't buy water anymore.

We got the resin filter, the big, tall filter and the RO under the counter. Since the installation, I have clean water, which is all I was looking for. Every six months, the reps come and put salt in the system and it's got an automatic backwash. You don't have to go out and do it yourself. Somebody will come by in six months and we'll get them to change the salt and check the system. I told the lady next door that we had maximum chlorine in our water. So, we got the RainSoft system. I explained all about the water. I've been that way for years since around 2000. I started using the under the sink just to get rid of the fluorides because I'm not happy with it and they continue to stick it in our water because it makes your teeth pretty, but it does kill you.

We've got a saltwater system from Rainsoft. You put the salt in it and it purifies all the water. Now there's no build-up. It's soft water now. Then the water tastes better. We haven’t bought bottled water since they installed it, because we got a little spigot on the sink that you use to drink water out of. The water looks better, cleaner and clearer. All we got to do is just keep an eye on our salt, and then we just add our salt to it. Anything else, they come out and fix. They give us a level. It takes four bags of pellet crystals and each time when you see the level’s going down, if it says two bags, then you add two bags.

We did the RO and the soft water system with RainSoft. The other system was not working as well and we couldn't get service reps to come out and fix it. The local service people with RainSoft have been phenomenal. They instantly return calls and answer questions. It's a far cry from the other provider. I work at a hospital now and I'm trying to get the hospital to transition over to RainSoft for their RO systems and softeners.

The representative I talked to was excellent and very thorough. The installation was good and professional. James knew what he was doing. He came in and knocked it out. After everything was installed, he gave us a class on how everything operates. It was good. After a few months now, there's less ash on the skin. The water is softer and smoother on the skin. I'm using less soap and smell better afterward. I noticed that the towels are softer. It doesn’t come out as stiff as it was before. The water tastes better. I saved money on that because I used to buy bottled water and that was 100 bucks a month.

The installers were all good people. They were very knowledgeable about what they were doing. Since I've had my RainSoft system, my water is softer and I have less calcium buildup in my drainage. I also have no weird smells. My water quality is very solid. It makes the skin feel soft. My wife has eczema and it helps her with that. I love it. I'm completely satisfied. I'm gonna reach back out to them again when I get ready to have the osmosis and the extra side put on.

A family friend had gone to Home Depot and they were giving out these free water samples. She picked it up and told us, “Oh, you know, you live in the city of Philly, maybe test your waters, see what it comes back as.” So we sent away for it and then RainSoft followed up with us in regards to the sample and asked if they could come out to our house and do a further review of the testing of the water here. We set up a date and then there was a gentleman that came out here with his whole testing kit. He tested the water and showed us the different impurities that were in my water.
The technicians were very friendly. They answered all my questions that I had. They didn't give me any issues. They were very clean during the process of installation. We got the basic system, and we did get the alkaline faucet as well. Now, when I wash my hands, it feels nice and softer. The shower feels different. I don't have to use as much soap and shampoo. Even with the washer, I don't have to use as much detergent. I also got the AirMaster through RainSoft. It has this germicidal and this odor-neutralizer that helps clean the air and the airflow.

We moved into a new house and there was already a RainSoft system in it, but then we started smelling the sulfury smell. So we called Rainsoft to see about getting it serviced, and then we were able to upgrade from there. The old system that was installed was moved from a house that was on city water, but we are on well water, so it needed a little something extra to get the water up to par. It was a very quick turnaround. We talked to somebody on Friday, and by Sunday, it has been installed. The smell has completely gone away and the water feels softer. It feels like it gets my dishes cleaner. I feel cleaner. I had a great experience. Everybody was very friendly and very willing to break things down and tell me how it all works without any issues.
