The quality of our water in the area led me to research water treatment systems. Setting up the appointment with RainSoft was good and the appointment setter Mike was very respectful. The sales representative who came showed us all the products they have. So, what we liked is what we picked and he was not really forcing us to get one like showing what other companies have. I don’t want to be forced by any sales representative sent to me. Also, I work in a dialysis setting so I'm already familiar with water and it was good that he showed water treatment to my wife.

I have the carbon, the softener, the thing for the laundry, the ozone, and the AC. It was just one person who installed everything and he was good and clean. He actually came in earlier than the time that he said and want to be there and then he started doing his thing outside the house. Since having the system installed our skin is better and the water tastes better. It's also better when I clean the bathroom. I'm very satisfied and I recommended RainSoft to my family already.

I went to BJ to buy water and a guy came up to me and said he'll give me a $20 card or gift certificate so I signed up. Then they came into my house and said that they're gonna treat my water to see if I have good water and then they were selling me the whole system. The RainSoft sales guy scheduled whenever it was fine for me and he explained everything really good when he came. He was really good and I purchased all the water softener and was given all the soaps to use for the house to do laundry, bleaches and other stuff like that. Also, the installation guy was good and really nice. He explained everything to my husband because I had to go to work and then he cleaned up everything when he was done.

Since having the system, the water is softer and the soap is very soft when I take a shower. It looks like I have a lot of moisture on me and the soap goes quickly because the water is so soft that I don’t have to use a lot of soap. It's very good but my husband says that he doesn’t like it because supposedly his skin gets itchy with the water. But everything was fine for me and I haven’t any problems yet. My overall experience with RainSoft is very good except that I never received the $20 gift card the guy in BJ told me about.

We have a reverse osmosis that we put on our cabin in the mountains. We wanted to have the same system in our refrigerator and I also want to use the same system for my CPAP. So I called Rainsoft and said we'd like to look at one. They scheduled an appointment and their sales representative looked at what the installation would be and gave me a reasonable price, so we went with it. Their installation team struggled a bit because they had to go behind the covers to get around the refrigerator, but it didn't take them long to get that figured out. Since installing the system, we've been getting our water through it instead of the tap.

I'm a nurse and I grew up on well water. It's common sense to get your water checked and I have it tested because, back then, the river bank did not have as many pesticides and chemicals in the ground as there are now. We've had our RainSoft since 1999, and their rep Dave was the one who came out and explained it to us. And recently, we had the system updated because it started leaking. In the beginning the UV light was burned out and every time they send a repair guy out here, he would break it and never did right for a long time so I said, “Well, why in the heck did they sell me UV light? They tell me now that I don’t really need it." So, I got a little bit testy over that and things do need to be updated. We got the reverse osmosis updated, too. So now we don’t have to do anymore of the backwashing.

One Saturday night, our air conditioner had been out all day and to make things better, we were going out to eat to let the house cool down. And when I went down in the basement and checked, there was some water. My husband called the 24-hour emergency line but they said we had to wait until Monday. So, we shut the water off to the house and we would go up to the garage and filter the well water so we can flush our toilets until Monday. So the 24-hour emergency didn’t do me any good. But I did have air conditioning. To be out of water and air conditioning, it was a little bit much.

When the installer got here, he was very professional. He came in the front door, took his shoes off and dealt with everything downstairs. My husband went down there with him, so I went and offered him a drink of water and to see how it was going. He asked me to keep moving a little bit around that hot water heater under the stairwell because that’s where it's located. He did an excellent job in a timely manner. I can't say enough good things about him. It was excellent. At first when my husband bought into it I was upset with him, but now I'm very thankful that he got it. It has made a huge difference because now, water is running through the appliances.

We made a purchase at Home Depot and RainSoft called and asked if we would be interested in a free water testing. We are on well water and I knew that our water is really hard so when opportunity came up to have it tested, we took it. Where we work, we have every other Friday off so RainSoft set it up on a Friday and it worked out perfect. The rep was the nicest guy. We had a lot going on that day and he was really patient. We could tell he knew the product and liked it. We were impressed with his presentation. He sold it and did a good job.

We have the reverse osmosis under our kitchen sink counter and then we have the tanks for the full house. The biggest difference I see is when I run our dishwasher. Previously, it would streak so bad but now, all of the streaks are gone. Also, after running my pots and pans through the dishwasher, we would have calcium buildup, but now all of those are gone. The sales rep told me that the water softener should help with dry, itchy skin and he was right. I don't have dry, itchy skin anymore. We can definitely notice differences.

Our water treatment was hard and we needed to soften it. We did some reading about water softeners and there was a guy who had it and so we got it too. We called RainSoft and they showed up. They were very friendly, helpful and answered all my questions. We showed them where we wanted the device to be since they took out the old system. The water is soft now. The only problem I have is that sleek feeling on me. I don't like that. But it's saving my appliances and my hot water heater and from building up all the junk. Overall experience is very good and everything seems to be fine.

We are getting the issue resolved at a lower rate than the cost of the full system.

    Original Review: May 3, 2017

Our salesman came to our house and pitched a water system that would "save" us money. He showed us all prices of the systems but then told us he could make a special deal with us, for $72/month for 24 months and we would be done paying it off. He actually sat down with his calculator and showed us how the normal prices in the books were mostly interest, but we could get it at this lower price if we signed up tonight. He also told us we had a 30 day period that if we ended up changing our mind and not liking it, we could get it uninstalled. No charge, no problem. We signed up based on good faith that what the salesman was telling us was actually true.

In the Bill of Sale he had us sign, he told us that the prices he was writing in didn't matter - they weren't our prices, but he had to put them on there. A week later, we get our first bill in the mail and it is over $7000!! We called the salesman and he apologized if he explained it wrong, but that was the total amount. We also asked to talk to his manager and have been playing the run around with him. He told us we are stuck paying the $7000 and that there was no 30 day guarantee that the salesman promised. We were lied to and cheated and now they are trying to hold us to the price. We are involving attorneys for being scammed. Home Depot and Home Services should be ashamed of sending dishonest and lying salesman to prey on good faith people.

Our chlorine level here in the city of Houston was above the level that we use in a swimming pool and the water tastes like ** that’s why we needed RainSoft. But other than that, everything was fine. Their sales rep came over, gave us all the information we needed and answered every question that was asked. She also gave us her personal number to call if we had a problem. There are two big tanks outside. We got a water system, a reverse osmosis and something under the sink. Installation went smooth, it’s clockwork. Their staff was very polite people. They came in and did what they had to do. They gave us the information that we needed and they were off.

Since they installed the system, the water's just like silk when I take a bath. I twirl up and down and still got soap all over. The clothes also smell better and they’re whiter. My wife loves it. And as long as she is happy, I am happy. We gave RainSoft some names and a couple of friends of ours have bought from them too. Overall, it has been an absolutely fabulous experience with RainSoft. The end result was great.

We have good water to start with. But I had signed up at Home Depot for a $1000 Home Depot gift card raffle. They said that I was preliminarily drawn for it but then I had a free estimate for a water softener system and that I’ll get $25 gift card. It was false advertisement. They used my $1000 raffle ticket in order to get my information to call me about RainSoft.

The sales rep was friendly when they called and told me the free water test would take no more than about an hour and a half. When they arrived, they were here for three solid hours. I kept telling them that I had an appointment. They told me to sign up that day and we’ll save $500 but the deal won’t be there the next day. We really did want to go with the system but we missed a very important appointment just to be able to save the $500 so it was incredibly short-changed because of those pushy sales tactics. It was also a little frustrating because they underestimated the time they were going to need. But they were courteous and knowledgeable. They were also fine with their job.

They set up the installation for 7PM on a weekday and I said I have to work the next day and that I don’t think that’s going to be a good fit. We believe that the salesperson got his commission once the system was installed because he pushed hard for us to have it installed within three-day window. So, they kept that 7PM on a weekday. I work in a hospital and have to get up at 4AM for work and so it was very unsafe for me. They weren’t here until about 10:30PM that night and again, they set it at two hours max. The poor installer still had to drive home to his kids and family. So it was really frustrating that the salesperson really pushed for that install to happen so quickly and it took much longer again than expected. I didn’t think that kind of scheduling was acceptable. However, the installer was phenomenal, amazing and thorough. My husband had a lot of questions and he explained everything very well.

Before, we didn’t have sulphur and iron but it was hard water. After installing the system, the water is definitely softer. It took some of the chlorine out. So we’re happy with the product. I would recommend it. We’re just unhappy with the legwork of how the product got here. They have to start changing their practices and start to realize that they can’t feed the customer information that it’s going to be a very quick install and presentation because that is really frustrating. Time is incredibly important to everybody. Had they stated upfront and said it’s going to take three hours, I would’ve told them to reschedule.

We were researching for a water filtration system and were considering the warranty, longevity of life and if the system lasts. I went to Home Depot, told a rep there what I was looking for, and he said, “Listen, don’t even look at these units. Call this guy.” He was cool and really quick to respond. So I called RainSoft that day and within 30 minutes, I got a phone call and scheduled it for that evening.

A guy came in, did his water testing for us and showed us the differences. He had a whole booklet that has all the information from all the other competitors and showed exactly how long the warranties were. Once I have researched, he immediately pulled up and told us what the warranties were, what they offer and the fine print. He also talked about his experience with the water softener. What got me was that RainSoft has a lifetime warranty which was perfect. That’s how well the product was. My wife and I made that decision right then and there. The guy who came in was awesome, too.

We got the latest product and the water filter for our sink so we have filtered water the whole time to drink. The installers were very nice. They came in and did their job. The one I interacted with did the water filter, took me outside, walked us through the installation and what they were going to do. They also did a great job in cleaning up and they didn't take long. They also made a post-installation call making sure that everything was cool.

Our water now is 180 degrees different and it’s been great. We love the way the water tastes now, and the way it feels on our skin and our body. Our dishes come out cleaner, too and we got the cleaning soaps. It saves us money since I only have to buy another bar of soap forever. We really don’t use that much. Overall, RainSoft is worth the value. They have great quality and professionalism. I’m glad we did it and in about a year or two, we’re going to purchase the air filtration system because we have a couple of cats and my wife’s very allergic.

I was at Home Depot and a guy walked up to me and asked if I had city water and I told him that I had well water. He asked if I would be interested in a water evaluation and told me I’d get a gift card, too, which is always good, so they set me up. The sales rep Gina came out and did her show about the product for us. I was very impressed with several things, not only with the fact about my ugly water that I had been consuming, but also when she took some of the processed water, wiped the window off, and there were no streaks. She also went to my shower and did the same thing.

The installation team of 2-3 people was on time and very knowledgeable. They explained all to me and showed me what to watch for and look for as far as operation goes. They told me they’d come about every two months to check on it and if they’ve been, I’d not seen anybody. But they didn’t tell me that I’d see them, so I don’t know if they’ve come or not.

I’m very pleased with the product. I don’t have to use as much detergent and fabric softener as I did in the past. There’s no calcium buildup coming through on my faucet where the wire is or the filter-like thing on it to keep trash out. I highly recommend it and I’m happy to tell everybody how happy I am. My granddaughter who is a health buff also has well water and lives in Lynn Haven has purchased one. My brother was real impressed with it too. RainSoft is a fabulous company.

I had concerns with hard water and preserving my appliances such as my dishwasher and washer. So, I consulted with RainSoft when I was at Home Depot, and their sales representative, Barry was very informative. He was able to schedule a time for them to come out that works well for me. And so, I purchased a water conditioner from them. The installation team came out and got plumbers that the same day because I was going out of town. Since I don't have a basement so they put the unit in the room under the stairwell where the hot water tank is. They also did the electrical work and cleaned up after themselves. Since having the system installed, there have been more suds and the water feels different on my skin when I take a shower.

However, RainSoft needs to communicate better. When they approached me in Home Depot, they asked if I would like to do a survey, fill it out then let them demo. In return, I would get a $20 gift card from home depot. After the installation, I spoke to Barry and asked if I was supposed to get a gift card, and he said he would be out in my area and he would just stick it in my mailbox. Afterwards, I called their number and said I still haven't received my gift card. A young lady asked if I got it in my email. Still, they didn't say it was going to be an e-card. Moreover, Barry said he would drop it in my mailbox so if it was coming in the form of an email, I wouldn't expect him to make that statement.

$20 is not going to make or break me. However, I called several times on it and Rainsoft doesn't follow up. I was told to check my email and my junk mail but I still don't have it. I may have deleted it as it did not even say "Rainsoft". The lack of follow-up deterred me and I still haven't heard from them. I'm not going to look for that email. Nevertheless, I would recommend Rainsoft but they need to communicate better.

However, I'm having a problem with paying the bills wherein I'm not getting it on time. For example, I was told they'll send it out on the 14th and that it was six days due. I finally got the bill in the mail two days later and I was wondering how it was six days due if I hadn’t gotten it yet. I’ve tried to do the online bill payment too and it was crazy with their website for the finance company that I went through. I was also told this and that about what the system could do, but so far, I still get everything I had before the system was put it in so I wonder if RainSoft is doing anything different.

I had just bought a house and had super hard water. I went to Home Depot looking for a water softener system and everything went smoothly with the RainSoft sales rep. They came in and tested the water. Everyone was very polite. I didn’t realize how hard the water was until they tested it. They said I have an 18 on the scale. Then they showed me what it’s supposed to be with the softener system and sold me on it.

We originally set up the installation for two days later. But it had to be at night because I work 12 hour shifts. So the guy came out, looked at what I had and very politely and very professionally said that he could install it that day, but he didn’t feel comfortable doing it because if something possibly went wrong, he wouldn’t have access to hardware stores because they would already be closed. So, we set it up the next day which was completely reasonable. He came back, got it all set up, and everything went great. I got a whole water filtration system and the water is doing much better. I can run my fingers through my hair now. I didn’t have any complaints with RainSoft. Everyone who came out was so good.

I live in a town that uses a lot of chlorine and a lot of other chemicals to clean the water. I have a lot of hard water and stuff, so I had been researching for several years and it was finding a place financially, that I was looking to invest into that type of treatment facility. When we were in Home Depot, we were approached by a Home Depot representative, setting up a time to come out and present RainSoft. The sales reps were very friendly and relaxed and knew what they were looking for. When they called initially to set it up, I told them that it was a bad timing and if they could call me back in about a month. They were very amicable and did so. They were great at follow-up and then was very cordial about everything, so I appreciated it.

The rep who came out was great. He was very informative and had a lot of good details. He explained the whole process and what their system did. He was very knowledgeable about it and then just talked through our options of purchasing the system and everything that went with it, so it was a very good experience. We ended up going with the whole house filtration system as well as the reverse osmosis.

The installation people were fantastic as well. They were very polite, respectful, kind, and were good about putting stuff, explaining what they were planning to do and where they were moving stuff because of the way water comes into my home. They wanted to know where I wanted it, close to the other appliances in the basement. And then it would not allow us to have it close to one of our outside spickets, so we talked through that and they were very informative of the difference and what would have happened.

Since having the system installed, I noticed huge differences, especially with all the chlorine being removed. Our water tastes much better. I can drink water directly from my faucets, whereas before I used a filter through my fridge and sometimes even still bottled water. Whereas now, I can, at nighttime, brush my teeth with the water and not taste the chlorine or some of the other calcium and the stuff that’s in there. I've replaced about five of my faucets in the 15 years I owned my home because of the hard water and now I’ve noticed there’s very little or actually none at all on the sinks and stuff, so it’s been great. Overall, my experience was excellent and enjoyable, and RainSoft is a great system to have. I'm happy that I’ve invested in it. It’s done wonders and I wish I had done it sooner.

The initial install spewed black water because their people had no idea what they were doing. I didn't feel safe drinking the water for some time. I was also told I would save money with free soap for life, which left clothes and everything else dirty, and I eventually gave up. I wasn't even sure it was septic safe. This became a Citibank account which admittedly SOLD my PRIVATE information to a number of scammers despite privacy requests.

I was told this was "interest free for a year", so I made large payments thinking interest would be minimal when it kicked in. Then I find out interest is DEFERRED and is NOT on the remaining balance, but back to the beginning! So my interest in one year was ONE THIRD the remaining balance! Our water smelled hard. We knew that we needed to do something and we just had been putting it off. We sent our water sample to RainSoft. The sales representative was good and nice. He said that there was another guy who lived closer to our house, but the guy couldn’t do it that day so he came out and made the special call. He said that he was the regional manager and he could get us better deals and guarantee us a price where someone else couldn’t and so we ended up dealing with him.

However, he was very in-your-face like overexcited, overanxious, aggressive, cocky, arrogant, and overbearing. It was like he promised the moon and delivered dinner. My parents needed a water softener system too and so I referred my parents to him. He then treated my parents the same way. But my parents were happy with the system and so are we. We've been able to contact him and we did the whole water softener and filtration system. We also did the CleanStart through RainSoft. The installers were great and they said the same thing with the salesman. Now, we have better drinking water, washing water, no smells and no staining.

Our concerns were the hardness of our water and the chemicals in it. My husband and I got the Test Your Water Kit from Home Depot. We were then contacted from there. Consultation with the sales rep was super easy and we ended up getting the water system from Rainsoft. A guy came to install it. However, it took quite longer than they originally quoted us, which was somewhat annoying but it was fine. Everything was good. We’ve only had it a few months and since having the system, we’ve had better water quality. The water tastes better. I also felt that it’s better on our skin and it’s washing better. On the whole, it was definitely worth it. Rainsoft is a good company and everything was really easy so far.

My daughter badly needed a water softener in her town house in the Orlando area so she got one from Rainsoft. I tried the water and said, "Let me have my water at home in Sebring tested. I'm about 90 miles away." Sure enough I needed some changes to make so I went ahead and got one. The first time the serviceman came he didn't realize it was going to take a little while to install it and he came late in the afternoon about 4:00, so he rescheduled, came back the next day and after that everything was okay. I wanted all the water in the house to be soft and to be able to drink on the tap faucet, and Rainsoft's water system gives me a lot of soft water.

I talked to Peter on the phone and he was the one who came to the house and talked to us about the system. He showed us some new things that were different about RainSoft versus other systems. I like his personality. He's an awesome guy, nice, and very informative. Then another gentleman came to do the installation and he explained everything he was doing. We even had a bath towel that he replaced for us for free so he did a really good job.

Before, when water would dry, there would be a white powder substance and we’d have to wipe everything down. Now since we’ve installed the water softener and the filtration system, there’s no more white residue on the water thing in the refrigerator, that's always clean now. There are also no spots when the water splashes when we get a glass of water. We also noticed that the water spots seem to be starting to disappear on our shower. It was a pleasure doing business with them. They’re very informative, cooperative and it wasn’t a big sales pitch. It was really a good experience and I’ve already recommended them to some families.

So far, my experience with RainSoft has been good. I just moved to Missouri from Michigan, and in Michigan, I lived in a rural area and I have designed a well and a septic and I had Kinetico, which is another water treatment company that did my whole house and gave me an RO and all that other stuff. When I moved down here to St. Louis, Kinetico is somewhere around here, but I’m on the outskirts again and I stumbled across RainSoft. They were one of the ones that answered my call. We made an appointment, and they came over and did a demonstration. I invited the next door neighbors to come over as well because they have the same water as I do. The sales representative was very knowledgeable. It seemed like he’s been doing it a long time. He had answers for every single question that I had and I asked a lot of questions.

When the rep did the demonstration, the water tasted good and the price was about the same as Kinetico and he hit all the right buzzwords. So, I wanted treated water. I got the RainSoft system that was a few thousand dollars. It was expensive. Also, I’ve got the RO and I’ve got the whole house filtered. The guys that came to install the system were hard workers. I wanted the RO water to go through the fridge as well, but when they installed it, they forgot to bring it to my fridge. They hadn’t run the tube because they had to go through my cabinets and I had a dishwasher that wasn’t installed yet. So, they had to leave. Then the next guy came out and hooked it up to the dishwasher and to the refrigerator. Overall, they were all super helpful, timely, really knowledgeable, and nice guys.

Since the system was installed, I use the good water for everything. Before, I would not put the tap water in my Bunn coffee maker because I knew it was yucky and it tasted funny. Also, the coffee maker that we’re using was all corroded. My fiancé was going to throw it away and I said I will just clean it with vinegar. I cleaned it and sent it to his office where they have treated water as well. And, there’s an excellent noticeable difference. We also have a pool and the guys that came over said, “Okay when you fill the pool, you got to turn it this way so you’re not putting treated water in a pool that you’re going to treat."

Moreover, with Kinetico, I had to have their filters changed once every five months, and at least once a year, they had to come and service the RO. I was impressed that with RainSoft, they would only come out and service the RO if something goes wrong. They said that the RO filters have to be changed but it would be like eight months as opposed to six. So far, I haven’t had to have anything serviced yet.

Their salesman came out and we had a conversation. I had a good experience with him. He did his tests to demonstrate the quality of our water and how we needed to have the RainSoft system installed. The chemicals didn’t bother me as much as the calcium deposits. We have a brand new house and I’ve been around the areas where there has been harsh water. I saw the calcium deposits and realized that it wouldn’t take long before our plumbing would be filled with this stuff. And so it wasn’t much of a decision for me to go ahead and have them do it. So they came out and they installed it. Everything worked fine except for one thing and that was I can’t connect it to my app. I have tried several times to do that.

My wife had asked once we got the system installed if we could have the same test done that the salesman did to see how the changes were. So, I called him back and said, “Would you mind coming back and doing the same test?” He said, “When would you like me to come back? How about today?” I said, “Sure. Come on by.” And he said, “I guess I need to bring my kid with me.” And I said, “Sure. Bring him, too.” And then he hung up. I was waiting for 5:30 when he said he would be there but he never showed up and so it was then I realized that he was being facetious. I didn’t appreciate that because he could have come anytime. The problem was that I was exhausted. That day, I came home and I wanted to go to bed and get some sleep and because I knew he was coming, I stayed up. I could have taken a nap but the fact that I was waiting for him until 7:30, I couldn’t go to sleep until probably about 9:00.

Over a period of time, a lot of times you see little particles coming out the shower head where they’re made of rubber. They’ll clog up the showerhead. The ones we have have a rubber spout and so they build up in that little individual rubber spout and you could see the deposits now and we’ve only been in the house for about six months. But now, we don’t see it anymore. Their system works really good and I like the interface they have in their system. It exactly says when things happen and how much water you use and you can tell that the water has been soft. But, it would be nice if I could have that test done to verify how well it’s working. That’s all we’re trying to accomplish.

The system that we had in the house was old and it wasn’t keeping the water clean. The water on the hot water side had a pungent sulfur smell to it. Our friends had RainSoft in their house and they had good words to say about it. When we went to the home show, we scheduled an appointment with Paul from RainSoft. He explained to us everything and then he came out, tested the water and recommended a few things to do. We ended up buying the whole home water filtration system and a reverse osmosis water filtration as well at the sink for drinking water. The installers did a pretty good job. I wasn’t there at the time. My mother was. But there must have been some miscommunication between the installers and her because they were supposed to put a new salt tank outside with the new equipment. They just piped in the old salt tank that was in the closet. So they had to come back out and redo that, but that didn’t take them very long.

Since then, the water is a lot cleaner, doesn’t smell bad, no discolorations or anything. Everything’s worked so far, except when we had to call them back once because they had put regular salt in our brine tank and it needed the higher concentration of salt to increase the flush because the smell could come back. Since then, it hasn’t come back so everything is good.

Our water is horrible. The appliances and faucets in my house that have anything to do with water go bad way quicker than I would expect. I bought from RainSoft something that went under the kitchen sink then I got another apparatus out in the backyard. Now, my water’s drinkable. I watched the guy do a test on it and he really just came out and enlightened me.

However, they didn't put my yard back together like it probably should have been. They ought to put some sod back instead of making my grass grow back. I had to hear my wife yell at me for a while. I'm concerned about the freezing with it as well. I need some sort of a heater because I know that ain't gonna survive the Oklahoma weather. They stuck the apparatus in a little shed thing so it looks nice and I was completely pleased with it but I’ve got to figure out how to get power and electricity out there.

When I sent in my water test I got a callback a few days later that said, "This is the preliminary results of your water test and we’d like to send somebody out to give you a demonstration and test your water at your home." I agreed and they set up an appointment for me and the guy came. His name was Sean and it was a really great presentation. RainSoft has really got the whole sales pitch down. The thing that’s most compelling is they're at your tap showing you your water and the filtered water. You get to actually see the contaminants that’s in your water or the hardness of the water and what it's like when you wash your hands. It clearly shows that your water is bad, this water is good and you can compare it back and forth. How could you say no at the end of the sales pitch?

I was going to think about it but Sean talked to me and said, “Well, what's gonna change your mind between now and like a month from now?” He’s absolutely right, the sooner the better. I decided to pull the trigger right there and get the system installed. Three days later the installer came out and in two hours they had the whole system set up. They even went over changing the filters, and what kind of salt to buy. I'm comfortable knowing exactly what I got and how it works. Since having the system, the water quality is different, tastes better, feels different and there's no more residue in the sink or in the tub. This is what they said it would be and I'm very happy with it. It was an unbelievably painless experience.

Today I found out that after the one-year warranty, despite RainSoft having lifetime warranty, I would have to pay $99 per house call to have a technician come to fix the CleanStart. Given the fact that the system has been problematic and troublesome on its own with no impact from me, I find it unfair that my warranty is just expiring. The company should extend warranty for such problematic components. If my CleanStart breaks down again (which the nice phone service guy told me it would!) why should I pay $99 per service call? Right now am feeling angry and wish I could return the CleanStart component - since my RainSoft should be improving this water in any case.

I was at Home Depot and I spoke with their folks and they went online and registered me with RainSoft's rep. Then he called and came out. I was thinking of installing a unit myself but after talking to the Home Depot folks, I decided against that. I also looked at Kinetico and called them and I wasn't impressed with either one of them for a number of reasons. But I felt comfortable with the fellow from RainSoft that came out and presented to us about the way their system works.

The installer greeted me and he was tidy. He was knowledgeable, did a nice job, explained everything and it took three to three-and-a-half hours from start to finish. I signed up for the automatic salt replacement and the automatic reverse osmosis replacement through the installer. We now have minimal buildup in the sinks, and we have hardly any hard water scaling. Also, the reverse osmosis water in the shower tastes wonderful. We had friends over one day and one of them asked for spring water but I said I didn't have it but I thought she'll like my water better. And she commented that it was very good tasting water. I have recommended RainSoft to a couple of people.

We're from Ohio and we have all kinds of water treatment systems there for well water. However it was bad when we first got here in Florida when we bought this place in 1984. We had water softener put shortly after that because the water was not good at that time but it's been messing up for the last couple of years, so we decided we'd put a new one in which is RainSoft. We have the softener, chlorine filter and the osmosis. It's my second softener from them and we've had them for 15 years now and it's working fine. We had a problem with the meter on it and they came the next day to fix it. Overall, it's been a very good experience and their reps have been very good to us. We've used them all the time for osmosis system and they very well responded. They come whenever we call them and that's why we stayed with them.

We had a system that wasn't working very well anymore in our Florida home and we have a RainSoft system up north so, we decided to sign up with them. They had someone come out to take a look at everything and they did exactly as promised. The installer and I got along well and he explained a lot of things to me. They replaced the whole softener system and now, the water's too damn soft that I can't get the soap off my hands. My only gripe is that they were supposed to give us a $25 gift certificate to a restaurant and when I went online and tried to do it, I can't get it done. There's also a sprung leak that they didn't touch that maybe they can come and fix. But I had an excellent experience with them.

We had put an offer in our house that had well water until we were in Home Depot futzing around. We were concerned about water quality and someone talked to us about RainSoft. Someone ended up calling me within a week but we were able to have someone come out the day after we moved and give us a demonstration which was awesome and super informative.

We did the Easy 4 water system as well as the unit that goes on the furnace. My mother-in-law was there during the installation and she said that the installers even went over the paper work with her and told me what I needed to do whenever I got home. The unit that was on our furnace wasn't getting power anymore but we had no problem getting a technician to come out and look at it. He needed to order a part and he called us right back several days later. Everything was painless. Now I clean the refrigerator less or not at all, and the dispenser on the front and the other dishes are always super clean. My mother-in-law will be moving very soon and she's definitely gonna be one of RainSoft's next customers.

I know that Arizona water is not that good, it's not really drinkable and it's easier to have maintained floors to make sure I have clean water throughout the house as oppose to having filters through our sinks. Rainsoft came by the house before, my wife told me about it and we made it happen. Their rep that I talked to was really knowledgeable and he answered all the questions I had. We got the water conditioning system and everything's working fine but I thought there were an after check around three or four weeks after installation to check the system and test it but no one came. But I'm not really worried about it. The system is decent, my skin's softer and we're able to drink our water now.

He listened to all of our questions and concerns and was able to answer them professionally. Sometimes, my wife doesn't grasp everything at first but he was very thorough and patient in explaining things. The installation team worked fast. We got RainSoft's water softener, their alkaline water and the one in the laundry room. Our coffee tastes better and cleaning my pots and pans is a lot easier. I use cast iron and wash it using regular water which is hard water. I usually rinse and wipe it out but now, I'm able to wash them and reheating them in the oven without getting rust spots on it. In addition, I have super-duper curly hair and almost to the point of where it gets really coarse at times. I used to have to use a lot of hair products. I was shampooing my hair twice, but now, I could shampoo it once and I don't use a lot of conditioner anymore. Also, I used to have to use a body wash and a soap but now, our usage of soap because of the lathering has gone down as well. I don't usually use a lot of lotion on my legs but I notice that my skin is softer now.

We also don't use fabric softeners anymore for our laundry and the smell is a lot better too because when you leave your clothes in the washer too long, they start to smell. My daughter, she's 23, washes her comforters a lot because she had dogs that jumped on her bed so it would have a smell. After washing them a few times, the ones that had a scent don't have it anymore. She also has a habit of leaving her clothes in the wash overnight and when they set in there in the morning, I usually have to rewash but now, I don't do that anymore.

We just moved to a new home in a new area being developed and I was concerned about the smell and the taste of the water that we had. We learned about RainSoft at Home Depot during the weekend. They took our number then they called during the week and we set up an appointment for the sales rep to come out. He did a whole run through everything like testing the water, showing what they could provide, what our water should look and taste like afterwards, how it could increase the efficiency of our appliances, utilizing little to no soap products and some of the things we use in health. It would help our skin as well. So we got the water softener system and the reverse osmosis.

The installation team was great, although they had to dredge down to get to what they needed. They installed an outlet, because we didn't have an outlet readily available. But they checked with me first to make sure it was okay. Once they were done, they showed me how everything operated. They were really, really helpful. If I had any questions, they let me know that they would always be available. And now our water taste great. We used to have water delivered by Sparkletts but we've now stopped and stored the little water dispenser that we had. The only thing I'd like Rainsoft to have now is if we could get cold water without having to bottle it from the system that they offer.

But their customer service is excellent and I couldn't ask for anything more. If I need anything, like when I wanted to know how to maintain my equipment, I'm able to send a text to the sales representative and he answers it directly. There was a guy who came out and followed up a week ago and he was excellent. He made sure that all our issues were addressed, including that we had no problem with the previous people who came out for customer service. They are topnotch.

The first gentleman that came out brought us through a 45-minute to an hour presentation about the benefits of Rainsoft and the advantages of having the equipment in our home. The sales rep seemed pretty educated about Rainsoft and also some of the other desires that we have in the home about water usage. He also gave us helpful tips and hints about some of the water quality in our area. The installers were very professional in the set up. They left the general area clean and like how they found it. I'm very satisfied with the education I was provided, the service that was rendered and also the installation.

We got the digital tower from RainSoft and the one that has the bag of salt that comes with it. Before we had them installed, my wife was saying how hard the water was and that she wanted to start drinking water from home versus purchasing the water by the gallon. Now the water quality is a lot better both for drinking and bathing.

At present time, we're even still excited and very satisfied with the water quality that's being produced. However, one thing my wife has pointed out to me is that we have the oxidizer under the kitchen sink cabinet and there are three components to that and sometimes after we drink the water that comes out of our faucet, we still hear the noise as though the water is still fondling through those different components. I wanna make sure that there are no issues with that or if we need to have someone come back out and check it and get it done.

He was really personable, professional, did the job and moved it into my garage even though he didn’t want to. I was pretty happy with that.

I'm very satisfied with the people of RainSoft but it's too soon for me to tell with the product as it's only been a month. They said they would get rid of the pink rings on our white toilets and sinks but did not. We were hoping that would go away and I can have a brand-new toilet. It had been a month on use of the other toilet so I figured the pipes would have been semi-washed out by then, but I’m no water expert. The gal that was representing the cleaning products came out and said our water is perfect, but that was only a week after install. So now I’m a little more curious since the pink rings are showing up.

Since then, the water is nice, soft, and cleaner and we don’t use as much soap. We’re enjoying the product.

A representative from RainSoft stopped by to obtain a sample of our faucet water to test and then they provided us with the results. Then somebody came to do the in-house test after that. They were very informative and it was an eye-opener once we saw the test and what it did, how it could affect and how it can actually save money in the long run so it was a great experience. We got the water softener and I’ve noticed my skin is softer and my hair is smoother. Even after I wash dishes and even if I use Clorox, my hands are not nearly as dry as they were prior to installing the system. So far, we love it and we’re glad we got this investment because it’s been well worth it.

The sales guy that I dealt with was very good. He was on time and was very informative. We sampled some of the bottled water I had here. Some of the water came out of the tap and some from a refrigerator filter system. The bottled water shocked me the most and I did some additional research on that. A lot of the bottled water is actually not that good. Wegmans' probably the number one grocery store in this area and their water is rated one of the worst. They get it from some place in Pennsylvania and that's actually what I was drinking.

I went with the Premium Drinking Water System and installation went very well. There was just one gentleman came in and I helped him with a couple of quick things which was good so I got an idea how things worked and I like to see how stuff goes together anyway. And then from that, the water itself tasted a little bit better, and when you clean your dishes in the dishwasher, there's no stains and water spots you'd see before.

I've had bariatric surgery and I was looking for a system so that I didn't have to drink tap water because buying water costs a lot and it still tasted funny to me, even buying bottled water. A friend's husband works for Anderson, so I called him and asked him some information about getting a drinking water system in our house. And he had his sales team called me because he's just an installer and they brought me RainSoft. They even came back and hooked it up to my icemaker because he didn't know that it was supposed to be in. The salesman and I had talked about it, but he forgot to write it on the sheet and they just came back and hooked it up for me.

The water tastes great because it's just water and I even bought a container that you can put in your refrigerator with a spout on it. I even take that over to my daughter-in-law's so that I can have my water over there when I'm watching the kids and she started drinking it and they're thinking about it. It's been fantastic, I love it.

RainSoft asked to come and do a demonstration in our house and the rep did an excellent presentation. The things we hear on some of the media and RainSoft's type of products concerned about health led us to consider treatment systems and so we bought a water softener and drinking filters. The vendor who came to our house was very courteous and he explained everything he did which I really appreciated. Our water is now a lot better, cleaner and softer since having the system installed so it really made a big difference. When they first put the system in, there was a problem with the seal that was on one of the tanks. It let our water run continually for about a month and a half so we got a really big water bill out of it. RainSoft people took care of it and a tech came out, repaired it, and put a new seal. They stand behind their product and they'll be reimbursing me for the overage I used above the average so I'm very impressed with that.

He ran a test and showed us what all the minerals and stuff that's in the water which made us concerned so, we got their water purification and the one for drinking water. The installer came and explained in detail about what he was doing and what we needed to do in the future. Before, we get so much sediments from what was in the water on our silverware. Now with RainSoft installed, the dishes come out of the dishwasher a lot cleaner and spot free. It was like somebody polished our silver. Also, the water is different when taking a shower. In addition, we used to have bottled water coming in and was having to pay for that every month. With the new system, we have filtered drinking water that's comparable to the distilled water that we were bringing in so, it cut our cost back. We love RainSoft.

I went through a couple of independent resellers and felt the best with Rainsoft and that's why I went forward with them. I had an excellent interaction with the sales rep from RainSoft. He was quite professional and very knowledgeable. I had done a lot of research initially and he confirmed a lot of the questions that I had. I did the whole house water purification system and the installation team was extremely cordial and polite and I enjoyed having them for the install. Since I had the RainSoft system installed, I have felt more comfortable and confident cooking with my tap water, giving it to my dogs, bathing in it and drinking it. I haven't had to squeegee my shower and there's not a lot of calcium carbonate build up around my appliances. I was curious as to what the water quality was in my area and found out about RainSoft through Home Depot's water sampling test. Their reps were very accommodating. When I had to reschedule for some reason, it was no issue. One rep was very knowledgeable about the product and the results that I would see. He was well-trained, stuck to the script they train these sales guys on, and I think it was very well done. I used to be in sales, so from a sales perspective, their presentation and the detail I went to was really good.

I have a whole house filtration and the reverse osmosis system for drinking water. The installer was very good. He made a change for me so that I could have the reverse osmosis water to the ice maker which worked out quite well, so I'm very pleased with that. I bought the equipment to test the water quality myself and made sure it does what it says, and it does improve the water quality. My wife and I have started using some of the products that require less detergent for the dishwasher and the washing machine, and they seem to work quite well. She hasn't had any issues. Also, the feel on the skin that they described we would see from softened water during showering is good. I'm pleased all around. The product is on the expensive end of the competition, but they do offer lifetime warranty and I thought it was worth it.

Additionally, I had a follow-up because I wasn't sure if the system was using the salt properly. They came back out, tested the water, and everything was good. The system was working properly. I just didn't use enough water to consume enough salt. I was pleased with that too. The after service is going to be key in my overall impression over the lifetime of the product. If I have issues with the system and they're able to come out and fix things, that will make me a happy customer.

We were having a problem with some of the original plumbing, the faucets and shower heads getting all messed up. We then got into researching treatment systems and went from there.

The RainSoft sales representative who came out was great. He did a very good job. I was impressed with him, and he got me to buy the system. Since having our RainSoft water system installed, we noticed a difference in the water. We also got the air treatment system, and when the air conditioning first kicks in, we can tell the difference in the freshness of the air. We were told we wouldn't have to use any detergent in the washing machine, which was a little bit of an exaggeration, but I cut down about half on the amount. Overall, it's been an improvement. We bought a house and weren't sure about the quality of the water. We wanted to make sure what we were dealing with and Home Depot had a test kit to take a sample and mail it in. RainSoft responded and sent a technician out to explain the processes and was thorough. The rep showed us how everything worked and the test results that we had in our water. He demonstrated the water coming into the house, the water system that was under the sink, explained the benefit, and everything made sense. The only thing that was questionable was the price. It happened so quick. The rep came in, spent several hours with us, and made sure that we understood what the system provided. Then at the end, I used my Home Depot account and made him raise my credit limit, so that we could put it on there until we could work out the payments.

The water quality is definitely superior. I didn't notice that it was bad before but when I use my detergents and soaps, it said that it's cleaner and it doesn't leave the chemicals behind which I'm sure of by testing with the different chemicals showing the purity level. Also, I can tell when I get out of shower that it feels different. We had one little glitch in the system after a couple of weeks, and RainSoft sent a service tech to take it out. He knew what he was doing and got right to the problem. There were four different things that could have been the problem, but he was real quick in narrowing it down and took care of it. I was very pleased with how quickly he troubleshot the problem.

I've recommended RainSoft. Someone asked me about how it was, but the price threw them off. The reason why I probably didn't say, "Give me some time to think about it," as I usually do, is because we had just spent several thousands of dollars for all new appliances down to our water heater, and I knew that good water coming into the systems would certainly extend the life of the appliances.

We were looking for something to improve our water because I was fed up with cleaning calcium over time from everywhere, especially the faucets. In Europe, we have softer water so we never have trouble like that and the taste of tea and coffee, especially tea, would be better with softer water. During our consultation with RainSoft, the sales rep answered all our questions, so we signed up with them immediately. We had the water treatment system installed in mid-November.

The installer took around seven hours to put the system in place, because of some complications in the household settings. There's some kind of arrangement downstairs, so we had to move something to bring and install electricity there. Otherwise, it would have been impossible to work there. In addition, they had to move pipes to bring water to the location where the guy installed the equipment, and that took time. Then the guy had to drive back and bring in one item that he didn't have at hand. And then the next day, it took ten minutes to install.

However, just two weeks after having the system installed, a little clip fell off that nobody noticed and it disconnected our pipe. But we noticed within a couple of days that the water was absolutely like it used to be. We also had flood in our basement and the water wasn't draining, so the pipe was disconnected from the equipment. The RainSoft team came to look, but it took another week to get the piece so we didn't use the system for a while. Finally, somebody came and reconnected the pipe to the equipment, but the water wasn't the same anymore.

When we first got the water treatment system, it was really something. People actually would wash there just to try and see how rich the water was. Then, suddenly, that was gone. Right in the beginning, it was velvety water. But now, it's not. It's like usual water. So, there is something wrong with that. When my husband called yesterday about that, they responded well and said that somebody will call us and a technician will come on Wednesday to look into that. I hope they could get that fixed because I already have at least two of my friends who really would like to come and try the water and I told them to wait. I used to tell people about the experience we’ve had with the system anywhere I went, but now I keep my mouth shut a little bit.

He asked if he could come at a certain time in the afternoon which was fine. He was very knowledgeable, a good guy and very thorough. So, with all, a good experience. My husband went out and talked with the installation guy. He wanted to make sure that the system itself was only for the house and not for the sprinkler system. They assured him and told him how that worked. They were quite good. I was surprised that they completed the project in one action in an evening. They stayed until it's done and cleaned up after themselves.

I like the softness of the water. It feels that it helps the skin and everything. The guy had asked if I had a handheld shower, and I have a glass shower. He said, "If you'll rinse the glass after each shower, you won't have the water spots." And I don't. I like that part. We were very pleased with it. And now, I don't think twice about getting a big glass of water out of the faucet to drink when before that, I was thinking I needed to get a bottle of water. But now, I enjoy drinking water more.

Our very first exposure to RainSoft was back in 2000 when we went to a Charlotte Home Show at the Convention Center. We saw the demonstration of water softening and we were in the process at that time of building a home. We supposedly won a free water softening since our name was chosen, and they installed the system after the home was built so we enjoyed soft water for quite a while. In one instance when the system backwashed, we got a salt taste coming out of the refrigerator and we thought there might be something going wrong with the softening system. The water was coming out of the drain instead of going through the system so I thought maybe the system was stuck. After I did some investigating, I switched the softening agent to potassium chloride so we're using the system right now with the potassium. The gentleman that came and serviced it last advised that and it works. I can tell the difference in the water.

We filed a claim through my insurance and RainSoft paid at an excess of $11,000 because I had the whole house generator that was damaged. I just didn't get to claim it on the policy and had to pay out of pocket for the upgrade. I didn't want to have to pay over $2,000 for an upgrade, but I ended up doing so since the first system was fairly free and they didn't charge us anything for it. Overall, I'm very satisfied with RainSoft. When I went to Google the other day to get their number, I saw something about a scam report and that alarmed me, but my experience over the last 20 years with them has been positive.

The sales rep will promise you all sorts of things that will never happen. I was giving a form to fill out to recommend friends and family to get their water tested. Nobody on that list was ever called. The rep also said that I get to choose one family member or friend to get a free gift from RainSoft, some kind of filter system that you can use with your kitchen sink. That never happened. Then you learn of all the costs that are involved with the maintenance after you have made the purchase.

But the best part is after 1 year of use, wishing you never purchased the system, they call you and ask to service the system, and I simply asked them to schedule me for next month because I will be out of town, and they have called me 4 times since then to schedule an appointment this month. They just don't understand that I am out of town and I am sick of these calls. I finally told them to not call me anymore. I will hire another company to look over my system. Plus the free soaps and laundry detergent they give you are cheap. I don't even use the dish soap. I can't wait to use up the laundry detergent so I can go back to quality detergent.

We bought the water conditioning system from RainSoft. The installer did a very good job because when we were concerned on where can it go to being close to where the water can drain, he knew exactly what he was doing. Since we've had it, we could tell that the water's somewhat softer, as far as the build up on the shower door and things like that. Everything seems to be doing fine. However, our first water bill was extremely high compared to normal. But we are watering the grass a little bit so I wanted to see what the next bill came up to.

We bought three systems from Rainsoft and their sales reps have been wonderful. The water filtration system that I bought for the whole house is great. There was also the washing machine apparatus that they sell for cold water only, no detergent. That is spectacular. I was a builder, plumber for 38 years, so I understand all this stuff. But even I was skeptical about it. But a friend of mine bought one and after about a month he said that if people don't buy one of these things, they were complete idiots. I was told that I would never buy detergent again and only use cold water. The washer works way better without the detergent and it's a wonderful system. But the problem is when you tell people about this and they don't have a clue about the way the system works, they stare at you like you got sold up a bag of goods when the fact of the matter is it's a wonderful product.

I finally got the system fixed. The senior tech came out and spent the correct amount of time to troubleshoot the problem. It turns out that the first tech here found the problem but he didn't have the part. The next two techs said that part was okay and it was a different part. Finally, Scott came out and confirmed Corey's diagnosis and put the part on, it looks like the system is working properly. We will soon see. I do think it is fixed. If this was the first tech the problem would have been solved 2 and 1/2 weeks ago and they would have received a 5-star rating. I do think that Johnny the third tech out needs help with his people skills and don't tell bull shit stories about how a surge caused the problem.

    Original Review: Nov. 29, 2016

Be wary of their Life Time guarantee. I have my system checked every year. 4 years ago it cost $75. It's now up to $155 plus a $45 charge for the service tech. I had my system checked out. It was working perfectly at the time. The service tech did something and said I needed a part and left. I went through 5 bags of salt in the next week. A different tech came out and said that part was good but it needed a different part. They said I have to pay for the part and the shipping of the part, so much for the lifetime guarantee. To schedule a time takes 8 days since they were out. For a $7000 system I expected parts to be covered under a lifetime guarantee. On the positive side, the system does work. In the long run, it's cheaper to buy a cheaper model for $400 and replace it every year.

I had concerns with soft water and got the drinking water filter system from Rainsoft. Their sales rep and installation team were very professional. The system is working pretty good, but sometimes, I see a little salt thing. I was told that after time when I keep on using the system, it should clear out all that saltiness, but it's still there. I've had the system over for three months already and I still see the water like that. If I put the water in a glass, it will stay like that for about a minute or two, then the salt will go away. I don't know if it's supposed to do that but I don't think it's really a big deal. It's still a lot better water than what I had before.

I've always filtered my water and when he did the test, he shared with me that our water through our house was in really good shape. But he showed me the canister that I could put in front where my water inlet comes into the house. I put it right after the inlet valve, so all the water that runs to my house now is filtered and I like that idea. The guys that put it in were awesome. They came in and were done in a half hour. They were very professional and I appreciated everything they did. It was a worthwhile experience and I would do it again.

Our water was full of iron so we couldn't drink it. It smells bad and stained all of our fixtures. Then we heard about Rainsoft from Home Depot. We had a great sales guy, who was very informative, clear, and professional. The installer was great too, and the sales rep who came at our home for consultation answered our questions and solidified any concerns we had. He focused on talking about all the eco-benefits which we didn't know about, and that sold us. He also told us about the laundry thing where we could only use cold water and it runs through an oxygenation thing and we thought that was the best thing ever, so we ordered that too.

I also love that they tested the water, because we found out that it has alkaline in it. He also tested the bottled water which we drink and he saved us from continuing to buy that because now, our well water is of better quality. It was eye-opening. We now drink water from our kitchen. It's clean. Nothing marks or stains. In our bathroom, the system is doing what it's supposed to but we still smell a lot of iron from time to time. We're not sure if that could possibly be the pipes, so we're going to ask Rainsoft about that. Also, the water comes through so fast. I don't know how the system picks that up. We bought a new shower head and it's got some of the rust on it, like how it turns with the oxidation. They said they would come out and do a follow up visit, but they haven't done that. Still, I've recommended them a ton.

Our water started to stink so I stopped at Home Depot and got a water test done. The rep that I talked to came out and tested the water. He was a nice guy and very polite. He showed us everything that he was doing and why and I got a softener and drinking water filters. However, I was not impressed with the installer. One guy had been there a while and he was with a guy that was in training and the guy said that he would come back and check the second guy’s work, and make sure it was good to go since it’s one of his first jobs. He left and then we left. When we got back, the guy was just finishing up but the guy that had been there a while never came back to inspect the work, so the trainee left. I went down there and looked everything over and found multiple things I wasn’t impressed with at all.

I talked to the guy that sold the unit to me and he said he’d get somebody out there as soon as possible to get it fixed, which they did. I told the guy that came out what I didn’t like and why and he argued with me a little bit on why he did stuff, which made no sense. I was not happy with him at all. He did do what I wanted him to do but it should have been done the first time. Since we've had the system installed, the water is great. The only thing I hate is the loss of pressure that we had. We used to be able to run two showers and the washer at the same time and we can’t do that anymore.

So, we decided to get their complete water filter system for the entire house. The process was quick and easy. The installer told me exactly when they were coming and what they were going to do. It took a day to install it, but due to the structure of our house, I could understand why it took him that long. Plus, I appreciated him taking that long to get it done right the first time. The only drawback was they cut walls in the Sheetrock when they extended a PVC-like pipe in one room, but it has since been repaired. Our water tastes better now. I like the silkiness feeling of the water when we wash dishes or take a shower. It was absolutely awesome.

I am concerned about what's in the water. I've had bad experiences with Culligan so I don't like them. Scharnweber is who I always have had but I was tired of them, too. When we bought something at Home Depot, we were given a sampling kit to sample water which was through RainSoft. So we took a sample, sent it in and RainSoft got a hold of us. We made an appointment and their sales rep came out and took more samples. He was very friendly and accommodating in testing the water and explaining things and we liked him a lot.

We bought the purified water system and also the carbon filter. The installer was very friendly, nice and seemed like he knew what he was doing. He got it all hooked up. He told me that I needed to fill something out on the computer which I did but it didn't go through. I talked to somebody from RainSoft and they helped me through it so that's all filled out now.

The purified water tastes very good. They explained that for a day, it would be cloudy because of all the bubbles. It was, then it cleared up. I like the idea of the carbon filter taking all the bad things out of the water on its way into the house. That means the water that I cook with and bathe in is gonna be chemical-free, so I like that. But I don't like the dish soap as much as my Dawn. I won't be ordering any more of that. I'm not sold on the bath soap either although it's great for shaving my legs. I've used the laundry soap once, too, but when it's in the washer it seemed like it got everything clean though it's hard to tell. But I'm very happy and satisfied with the Rainsoft system even if it's a bit pricey. I would definitely recommend RainSoft to a friend.

I would have liked a better program with the financing, though, where I'm not paying that large amount of interest at the beginning, but I don't know if that's something you would do. But as far as the product, service people, installation, and sales, I've been very pleased.

He may have hurried a little bit and talked a little bit fast. I asked him to slow down sometimes. I'm a little more laid back and used to listen to people talk slow and give me a chance to think things through. But all in all, he did a really good job.

I got a filter under the sink and the guy that did the installation was nice, polite, respectful, and clean and did a thorough job. He didn't take too long to do what he had to do and told us exactly what he was doing and he just did a good job all around and didn't make a big mess. Before, I hardly drink normal water, always bottled water and now, I don't even drink bottled water. I fill up a bottle of water, put it in the refrigerator and now we had the filter hooked up to the refrigerator and get clean water from the refrigerator. Good thing it was not a busy day. He presented all the information except for the system and how to use it. I know it’s the installer’s job but he could’ve given us a few more tips on the machine. The installer told us that he can't install the system where my mother had originally wanted it. He told us where it has to be installed and did it, and then once it was done, he invited us out and we looked at the system. He told us some things about it but he was very quick. The water’s definitely softer and purer but it'd be great if somebody was to stop by after three months of installation to check in with the customer because we’ve had problems. We’re not quite sure if the system is up and running in the full ‘cause the salt is not going down.
