I have well water in my home that is high in iron content and I needed a way to get that filtered out and have usable drinking water. I then requested a water treatment system and water filters for my home from a local company that uses and sells RainSoft products. The representative I talked to was great, very knowledgeable, and helpful. He explained everything and demonstrated the content of a bottle of water that I had and explained what ideal water levels should be. Installation also went well. They explained everything and what I had to do. They even let me take a video with my phone so that I could make some of the changes myself.

Well, the salesperson was professional at least. He did the usual song and dance with the gross looking water sample he took from our sink compared to the pristine sample from his portable filter. And the unit we bought does work fairly well. However, had I had the presence of mind to actually shop around for the price of competing products in the same or higher rated categories, I have discovered that the best water softener money can buy cost less than of the price of RainSoft. This is beyond unreasonable. We were taken for a ride by our own gullibility. RainSoft is horrifically overpriced! Oh, and the unit was advertised as "maintenance free" except for salt. I just got a call from RainSoft offering to "service" the unit for only $159. A complete and utter rip-off in terms of cost vs. effectiveness.
We contacted the local RainSoft dealer in Tallahassee to assist in resolving any concerns. Mr. and Mrs. B purchased their RainSoft system in August of 2014. The dealer was calling on their one year anniversary to schedule the recommended annual tune-up. This service is not required by the dealership but is recommended as the system is a mechanical device with wearable items. The system carries a lifetime warranty on all parts - the only fee the customer would be responsible for would be the labor to complete the visit which is a fixed rate. It is recommend that the system be maintained annually to assure optimum performance and also assure a consistent quality of water for the customer. It is completely up to the customer whether or not they accept or reject the service, it is not mandatory and does not affect the warranty.

My water conditioning system used to have the three cartridges under the sink. Now it's down to two, and we don't have to replace them as often and we don't have to regenerate once a week. 12 years ago, Rainsoft’s installation team drilled a hole in the sink to fit the faucet to get drinking water out of, but now they use a different kind of faucet that comes up and barely covers that hole, so it caused a leak because the hole is off a bit. My concern is that anytime you splash water out of the sink over the top of it, it barely covers that hole and there’s no washer underneath it so that if it’s off, just hitting that thing and then splashing water on it, you’re going to have water leaking under the sink.
To me, it seems that it’s not a very good engineering that somebody would have thought this through better and come up with a washer or something that would have went on there to cover that hole being a different size. The guys were very polite, very easy to deal with, punctual and on time, but I question the scope of how they work. They attempted to fix it and I’m satisfied with the experience, however I’m concerned about the fix for my problem.

RainSoft set up a consultation schedule that really worked well for me and they explained everything. We got the system installed for the laundry, water softener in the kitchen sink and the rest of the house. After having the system installed, everything has become different from what it was and I've noticed that my skin has become so soft.

We're enjoying our RainSoft system because the water is soft. After we got it installed in February, there are days when we would get dark colored water. I'm a little disappointed with that, but it could be because of the area we're in. Sometimes we get a dark color because of the dirt flushed into our system. I called the support guys in Columbia and did maintenance. But they told me the sediments can block up the system that's why we flush out our lines in the morning because the over flooding of our system happens overnight. But when I check our tanks, they're dirty again. I cleaned them very well when the system was put it and they're dirty again. That could be part of the city water because we're here at the bottom of the mountain and in the lower part of the country. When you get far down the line, there's only so much filtration you can get.
There was also one time we had someone out here because of the extra filter put under the kitchen sink. That's where drinking water comes out of and it's supposed to be 99.9 pH. The whole house is 98. RainSoft was quick about with a response. I told them my pH level percentage and about the water coming out brown. A guy came to look at the system and did the bypass and everything worked great, but I have yet to test it. For now I rate RainSoft highly because they check on me monthly to see how everything's doing. All in all the filtered water for drinking and the feel of the water in our skin is awesome. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I would definitely recommend RainSoft because it helps out with the security of the water. We definitely love the product.

RainSoft sales representative was very knowledgeable and came within a week of us calling them. I got their rain dissolve filtration system which makes the water softer - I can tell on my skin. It's really slippery and can tell a lot more when I'm washing clothes. I've always been a bottle of water fan and we just never have liked the taste of any water but this water tastes good enough to where I don't feel like I need to buy a bottle of water any more.

We heard about Rainsoft from a neighbor that had it installed. We were having problems with the water here. In some places, the water either smells or tastes funny. So I said "well, we better get a water filtering system." The sales rep explained everything and was pretty thorough. He came to my home for consultation and was real nice, polite, and helpful. He suggested one thing or another, explained why or what for, but left it for us to decide. The installation of the water softener was a nice job. The hole made through the wall to tap to the waterline was patched up smooth, looks neat and clean. Since installation, you can tell a difference when you take a shower, wash your hands, do dishes etc.

We bought a new home where I had my first experience with a well and, I was always cautious about just drinking anything. The prior owner told me that they had a neutralizer in the garage. I came by and met him briefly, and he said he maintained it himself. After hearing about what he did to maintain it, I thought that he wasn’t doing it the way it should be done. So to get a second opinion, I called the number that was on the tank to set up appointments with them to come out. Then they came out and took a look at it, and found out that it was already a very old tank that wasn’t doing anything anymore. When they tested the water, it was extremely hard and a little bit acidic, so they told me there wasn’t so much they could do with the tank. They then told me about the benefits of RainSoft, about putting in a new tank, and having a softener as well to get the hardness out of the water.
Rainsoft came and I had them put it in. The guy that I dealt with was very good, and he explained a lot. I called him back after two weeks, realizing that they needed to make a few adjustments like adding some Magnesium to the tank to help the neutralizing part of it. However, I had to call them back again because, on that visit, they forgot and left the bypass on. So for a couple of weeks, the softener wasn’t kicking in and we started seeing some hard water effects. I didn’t have any problems with them coming back, and they jumped right to it and took care of it. They also called me a couple of times to make sure I was happy and if there’s anything they can do to improve; and, really, I couldn't think of anything. Overall, I had a great experience with RainSoft. Everybody we talked to has been pleasant, nice and knowledgeable, so we have been very pleased. The people who installed it and maintained it have been great to work with, so I certainly have no complaints at all.

Ever since RainSoft's installation of the water softener and the reverse osmosis system, we've been using less soap. We like RainSoft very much. When they came to my home for installation, everything went well. Their installation team was very professional and was able to explain the system to me.

RainSoft is okay but I don't like some of their soaps since I haven't had a good experience with my first shipment. It didn't have my laundry detergent. Also they were supposed to give me a 30-day supply when I bought the initial package, but I only got empty bottles. I can't say there's much of a difference in my water because we're on a well anyway and we did it just to see if it could soften our water a little. The only good thing I like about it is that it will keep the water heater going longer because it's going to filter out everything before anything gets to the water heater. On the other hand, their salesperson only showed us one of the tests for the water so I was disappointed because it didn't show us anything so I probably won't do it again.

I purchased a water purification system from RainSoft and the installation was very good. Their guy installed it and went through everything very quickly, and it's one of those things that you don't have to touch. There are times when I don't know if I should be doing something and I'd probably forgotten most of what he told me simply because it isn't something you have to touch very often. Anyway, the water tastes a hundred times better. We don't even drink it out of the refrigerator anymore going through filter since we just drink it directly from the path and it's much, much better.

Our consultation with RainSoft was excellent. We purchased the whole house system because we have a well, and then a reverse osmosis under the sink. They only sent one guy for the installation. It could have been faster if they sent two guys as it was difficult on one guy but everything went well. He had to take out the old tank and put the new one in. They really need two guys to do that kind of job, and they should've let them know ahead of time what they would have to be doing. In addition, when he was doing ours and had to bleed the system, there was water all over the floor. He could have brought a small wet/dry vacuum. Nevertheless, I'd definitely recommend them. Since the system was installed, our water has been cleaner, and I don't see as much scum now.

We've had RainSoft for around 10 years and I enjoy the water's softness. It makes my hair soft without shampoo which I know it doesn't do when I'm not home. Their sales representative answered all our questions and he was very, very good during his demonstrations. However, he said he will come back to do another test after the system is installed and it's been three months, but he still hasn't showed up, so that's disappointing. Two things about RainSoft. One is we haven't had an appreciable change in the quality of the water. Everything was fine regarding the installation. The chap did everything quite well, very professional. I check it from time to time and make sure it's not reduced. But the shower water seems softer so there's some hardness gone out of it. However there are still some coloration showing up on the coffee pots and things like similar to what it was doing before when it ends up clouding up the sides of the plastic container. My wife spoke to someone at their office and he said something about "it may take some time" and maybe he would come and do a water test. We just want to be assured that it's working the way it's supposed to work.
The second thing is I haven't received anything from the RainSoft parent company concerning the warranty. Because the chap who installed it took that with him and said that his company sends it in. I'm sure there's no problem but I would have expected it by now. We want to make sure that we're getting the value for what we spent.

Rainsoft team cleaned up very nice and did a neat installation. We really see the difference in bathing though I don’t think we see the savings in shampoo and soap and all that stuff that they say. Some of the soaps don’t lather as much so I don’t think you save that much. But other than that, we’re satisfied with it. I have two minor complaints though. After they installed, the very next day they set an appointment and I thought it was too soon to assess if we can see changes affecting our lives by using the product. Second, we set up a credit of 12 months same as cash to Home Depot. They said the first payment won’t be due for at least 60 to 90 days, 2 to 3 pay cycles but it wasn’t even 30 days after and I paid $25 minimum payment for the installation. Aside from these glitches, the experience was fine. Hopefully, it lasts us a long time. I’d recommend them.

RainSoft's salesperson, Joel, gave a good presentation and took time to explain everything to us. On the other hand, the installations many months ago were not so good. I had a percolator and when I came in the house, one of the guys was hacksawing it off of my granite countertop. I asked them to replace it, but they didn't think they were going to replace it. Also, I got in touch with them last week because one of the lines broke downstairs and they have to come back and fix the drain line when they go into a regeneration. When they came back, I said, "You guys never replaced the percolator." It was a 2010 model. I was going to use it for something else and there's no sense in throwing it away. I have to buy them again. But the guy blamed his boss. So I had to get him the serial number. I'm waiting to see what happens now; if they're going to replace it. Setting up the consultation with the RainSoft sales representative was easy. She was really nice and very knowledgeable. The only thing I didn't like was the sales technique which was probably how she's trained with the company. It's very hard-sell tactics. I wanted to think on the prices for a little bit before we decided because we had just bought our house so we already had a lot of money going out. So I said, "Let me think on it." She said, "If you get it today, you get X amount of free soap products from this other company."
That's what I have a problem with. We're in sales too, and it really rubs me the wrong way when you're going to offer me something today but if I don't act today then that offer is no longer available. The sales thing needs some work. Let people have an opportunity to think on major purposes. The free stuff they offer me today should still be good tomorrow. But other than that, I like the product. I purchased the conditioning system for the water. Since I started using the system, I've absolutely noticed an actual difference. Plus the installer who came out was really fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and cleaned up any messes that he made.

I don't know if it takes time for the salt to work right but after a week, it started getting better each time we use it.
However, I used to live in Texas and my brother who lives there had bought a system which was a little bit better than this one. It was about $5,000 and this one's a little bit under. It took them about six and a half hours and they were just wonderful. When they left, the yard looked like they haven't even been here, if not for the heavy rain the next day. They put in little drops to change our well water; he could have added a lot more drops before it ever really changed to purple since our water is really hard. Rainsoft has been great and I've already recommended them to a friend.

Their representative was nice, polite, animated, good at what he did and he was excited about the stuff that he sold and so he didn't press anything. We got the water purification system with the two different filters, one to pull out the hard metals and another one to pull out the chlorine and the chemicals. The installation team showed up on time, very thorough, polite, and good. I had a special request for him and he took care of that while he was there. Since having the system installed the water was much softer and better. You cannot taste the chlorine in it. You don't need as much soap or anything.

I bought the product 3/13. I was promised a lot of things: namely, we would only need to fill the salt tank 3-4 times per year, rust and dingy spots would be gone, and we would get free soaps. We started to notice problems with our water being hard. It got worse, despite the system reading "OK" for everything and the salt level read 2.5. Well, there was no salt. After just 2 months. I called someone out because of the hardness, and when he came I explained there was no salt which caused the hardness, but I had since filled the tank. I told him I was concerned the salt alarm was malfunctioning because it read "2.5" when there was no salt and the alarm did not go off.
He looked at the machine and said everything was fine. He said the salt level was correct so there was no problem, and his report said NOTHING about the salt alarm. He said there was no problem and it was working now, so what was he supposed to do? Take my word for it that something went wrong? Anyways, he tested my hardness when he got there--the stick said "0" hardness. I tested it 3 days later at it was at 50 ppm (which I know isn't a lot but it isn't 0 which is what I was told). We are still having water spots and rust stains, and sometimes our washing machine has a bunch of suds, and sometimes it doesn't.
The RainSoft machine reads everything is fine, but we are having issues. The company offered to upgrade us to a bigger system because we "use so much water" (quotes from the installer who came to check out our system) which is why we are using so much salt. We use ~ 150 gallons of water per day as a family of 4... that's half of what the national average uses [per the EPA website]! I asked to return the machine and they won't let me return it. Still having the problems that I was promised I wouldn't have with this machine, and I never received the free soaps that are in our contract. They said the free soaps "email" was sent to us, but it must have gone into our junk folder, which was a common problem. Uh, then why don't you mention that to the customers? They also said our signed contract was sent to our email but must have gone to our junk folder.
It's very frustrating that they will not consider my problems or address my concerns. The machine says everything is "OK" so they say it's functioning correctly. They use a dip stick (which some are known for giving false positives!) and say there is no hardness, but my test that I bought from Home Depot says there IS hardness. They promised me things and didn't deliver, and they lied to me about several things in order to get me to purchase (that the bottled water we drink is just the next towns city water, and that our water was "really bad" and he wouldn't drink it, etc., and we would spend less on soaps) and now they lie to try to get me to upgrade to a bigger system.
They also said we would only have to pay ** amount per month, but we would just use the money we saved not having to buy cleaning supplies because we got free stuff! But if we pay the minimum finance payment this 6k system would cost of $25,000!!! Of course we will pay it off before the interest free period is up, but what a lie for those who don't have the money to pay it off! And the installer said the system would repair the damage/build up in our galvanized pipes (as a rule he said it would take 1 month for every year old the house is) and I can find NO plumber who can verify that claim.
We have had nothing but problems with our water hardness (and who knows what else that I can't test for) and with the customer service. Since we financed through Home Depot I am really hoping they will help us out--they at least seem to be interested in helping me solve the issues I have been having. RainSoft, on the other hand, hasn't done a thing.

They gave us a bunch of products - hand soap, shampoo, body wash, detergent. The installation team were very professional and nice. My family asked them questions and they answered everything. We quickly noticed that the shower is a lot cleaner now. I'm guessing that the old water that we had was pretty bad because the flooring used to get real ugly and it's been clean now that we have this water. With the drinking water, you can't even tell its difference with the bottled one. So we saved a lot of money not having to buy all that water. So it took 3 hours but that's what did it. Their sales rep was professional, courteous, friendly, on the point, very helpful and nice. I didn't have much interaction with their installation team when they came to our home but they did things efficiently. They explained that there was no way they could do the extra hole in the sink in the kitchen for the drinking water, and I was disappointed with that, but they explained why. And of course I had a sink that I wouldn't want damage done to it but there was nothing I could do once I already signed up.
So I called up the guy that gave me the demonstration and told him I was disappointed with that. Then they deducted $500 from the cost. There was nothing they could do, it was already done. I was disappointed with that because I tried to drink the water and it's too salty. So I still have to get bottled water because I feel the water that's coming through the tap is awfully salty. They all did a pretty good job there except for my disappointment.

It was different with the installation team when they came to our home. We had a guy that came out one day to install it. Then he was going to come back and he was supposed to install a water line running to our refrigerator, but we never got a call back from him. The sales reps were very pleasant but I had a problem with the installation. After the installer left I opened the cabinet of the sink and he had squished the tank and the filtration system behind the garbage disposal. That doesn't seem very good. So I called the salespeople to tell them that it's ridiculous because when after I had read the manual it says that the canister should be on the left side of the sink and the tank should be on the right side.
Salespeople came out because they knew the problem that I was having and then said when a person comes out and does the re-installation he would have to turn the tank around to show the RainSoft logo on it. That's because one of them noticed the tank didn’t have a RainSoft logo on it. So a guy came out to re-install. He turned the tank around to show me that there was no RainSoft logo on it. It was at that time I noticed that the tank was so filthy. It looked like it was at least 2 years old, that’s how dirty it was. I also noticed a little sticker on the tank that said it was made in 2014. So maybe they gave me an old tank.
After a few hassles and getting Home Depot involved, Home Depot sent a manager out who gave me a new tank (new tank was dated 2015). They retested the water and it’s been okay since. Because of the trouble that I went to, they told me that they would give me another Home Depot gift card. However I still haven’t received it.

But when they dug about one foot away from the black hose in the ground, the ground collapsed about a quarter of a feet. So far that's my only concern but if it has collapses and becomes a big hole, I will call them and say something is not right.
Anyway, they promised that since the unit was $6,200, they would get us a sink purifier, but it never arrived. When I talked to the service manager and told him about the black hose cracking, he said he would send someone out to do it. I gave him a telephone number so he could call before he came but he didn't. He just came and did it and left again, so the sink unit has never been given to us. I don't worry about it now but I'm disappointed.

The guys who came out to install it (standard filtration and softener) did a decent job. But they - the installer, sales rep, and the one who did the water test - were definitely misinformed as to how often the system runs in three cycles. They were just telling me, "Oh, well, there's only two people in the house, it probably won't do that." I had concerns about that at first wondering about how much water was going to be used. But after getting my first water bill, it doesn't feel like it really makes much of a difference.
Also, the taste of the water is worse now than it was before. I still don't drink water right out of the tap because I didn't purchase the additional water filter for the main sink. I'm a little bit disappointed in that. That was a bit misleading. I still end up buying bottled water. But other than that, I still like the system. The water is much softer now which is what we were going for, and I'm sure there's nearly no sediments and other similar stuff in my water. I'd still recommend RainSoft. My father bought a system from Rainsoft too and probably possibly even a couple of other people that I recommended them to. However there was a little bit of a mess of wood chips left when they were done drilling through the floor joist to run the waste line for the bath flushing. They didn't clean those up and the line for the waste line wasn't really secured well enough so that when it would do its bath flushing, it would rat on the floor joist and make a really loud noise upstairs. They also drilled through the metal sink where they installed the water spicket for the drinking water but they didn't clean up the metal shavings either. When they first put it in, we had a bathroom at the very back of the house that the water barely came out of and now, we have full stream. We didn't know we had one before the good, nice, clean water cleaned out the pipe which is really cool.

I got the RainSoft softener and the reverse osmosis drinking system. The installation guy knew what he was doing and was very, very quick. But the only issue that I had and I still have is when the salesman told me they were gonna install it outside but the guy that came and installed it says, "No, that won't work. We just run in a hose underneath your house and it drains away." And I said, "Not under my house. You're not draining it underneath my house to collect the water and even those drain goodness sandy soil." He says, "Okay. Well, I'll put it out here then," and threw the thing out underneath the brush next to the fence line. So they never bury the drain line like I was told would happen. The system seems to work fine but they're gonna come this summer and replace that fence line and run into this drain that was just lying there on the ground.

The installer explained everything to me, how much the water was going to improve from the old way and that the water will be so clean. The system will actually act as a cleaning agent and all the pipes will clean out. He also added some things that were not done way back when the first unit.

I learned about Rainsoft from the man that installed my gate. I was talking to him about building me a well house so that I could put a water system for my well. Because the last water system I had was 20 something years ago and it was huge, it took up my whole back porch and that's why I wanted to build something outside where I could put it all out there. He advised me to call Rainsoft and that they will come out and tell me what I need. So, we had Rainsoft put the system in. They were good about putting it and explaining everything so now it was working beautifully until our recent experience.
Whenever we go out of town, we always cut our water off just in case a pipe burst. The system backwashes every week so I wanted to find out what I needed to do and I didn't wanna ruin the system by turning my water off. So, I called them and left a message. They called me back the next day and told me to just turn the little lever in the back if I'm going to use my outside faucet so that it doesn't run through my system. She said, "Just turn those and everything will be fine", which is what I did. So, before we left, I turned the water off. And then when we came back home, I turned the water back on. The first thing I did was run some water out to give to my dogs because they didn't have any water to drink. That's when they started to get sick. They were drinking a lot of water and throwing up all over the place. They were both doing it, I didn't know what was going on and I didn't relate it to the water.
Then the next morning, we fixed a pot of coffee and my husband spit it out. He asked if I put a salt on it and I said "no". And then when I poured creamer in mine, the creamer clobbered. There was so much salt in the system that we could not use the water. We had to go to the store and buy bottled water. So, I called them twice about the problem to find out what I needed to do in order to get that salt out of my system and then what to do to keep that from happening again. I called customer service and sales. They don't ever answer their phone so we always just leave a message and then they'll return the call. But they've not returned my calls so, I'm angry because they're not returning my calls.

A number of years ago in Birmingham, Alabama, my wife and I were at a home and garden show, and we were becoming really concerned about water quality. With all the bad news about fertilizer run-off and pharmaceuticals in the water, it was a real concern for us. We were about to be married s we were just shopping around. We went by the RainSoft booth and we saw the unit, and we talked with one of the reps who made a real good impression on me. By the time that we're married, we arranged for one of the field techs to come and do a test on the water on our house. It's typical Alabama water and it was pretty hard so we had the unit installed. It was actually a little bit larger but it seemed to do a real good job for us so we were pretty pleased with it.
When we sold our house in Birmingham, I chose to part with the RainSoft unit and leave it in the house, right there on location, because I was trying to think of a way to make the house more appealing and more sellable, so I gave up the system and it helped us move the house. Then we came up here to St. Louis, Missouri and we live in the St. Charles area in St. Charles county, and I wanted another RainSoft system. So we had a field tech come out from Tri-State Water here in Missouri, a lady, and she did a real good job. And I was horrified at how hard our water was, our water may as well have been liquid rock.
So we made arrangements to have the unit installed, and they did a very good and professional job. They were very thorough and neat. I liked the fact that they cleaned up after themselves and were very careful to make sure that the installation even looked nice, I was really impressed with that. This was the first time that I've been exposed to potassium chloride as a salt substitute. As it was explained to me by the installation technician that Tri-State prefers to use potassium chloride because it's more green and environmentally friendly, and it doesn't rot pipes as bad. So that's the reason that Tri-State uses potassium chloride.
Now he did explain to me upfront, that it's about three times the price of regular salt." So he said, "Get ready for sticker shock." But the thing I've noticed is that the system I have here uses so little salt, we haven't even gotten down to the bottom of the salt bin yet. And I'm a little concerned that I won't remember to recharge the salt bin. But anyway, I hope I've got the alarm turned up loud enough where I can hear it from my basement. To make a long story short, we're very pleased and impressed with the unit. We really believe that the product does a good job.

Then she started a slide show, after another 30 minutes went by, my husband asked if we could get to the pricing, to finish up. She ignored him and continued through each slide. I asked if the slide show was available online, and she rudely said "No." And went back to her slides. If my parents weren't here, I would have told her to leave after that.
She also asked if we could fill out a very long sheet with each product we use, and how much it costs us each much. My husband politely said he was very interested in the product, but again we need to speed up this meeting, and would rather not fill out the sheet. She ignored that too, and went through each product and asked us how much we spent. When we tried to explain we couldn't buy the product today, and we would like to do more research, she ignored that also and kept talking. She ended with snatching a paper I was looking at out of my hands and putting it in her briefcase. As she was leaving, she said to my father, again extremely rudely, "Nice to meet you, even though I DIDN'T meet you". I was horrified and embarrassed. We were very interested in the product until we experienced this poor customer service and salesmanship. Not to mention our plans for the night were ruined and we had to order pizza and stay in.

Consultation with their sales rep was great. It was really, really long but looking back... I loved it. It was very interesting. We don't have kids so I could sit there and give him the time of day. I just pray to God it was all matter of fact and legitimate, and it wasn't a magic trick. I'm thinking, "Is this real? Is it really that the water is this bad, or are you doing magic on us?" The installer was very professional. I liked him a lot, and so did my husband.

We were actually referred by a friend to RainSoft. Everything was very easy. The gentleman came out and he was very thorough. Every question we had was answered. We did the water purification system for our house. There were really no problems at all. The day that they came, we had horrible weather so they did call just to let us know what was going on and of course came back out and finished it up the next day when they were able to. Ever since it was installed there was quite a bit of difference. We noticed our clothes and washing the dishes became nicer. We take a shower and we can feel the difference too.

We're well satisfied with RainSoft. My wife said that the gentleman that installed the system was quick and very professional, and got the job done and was gone before she knew it. We really enjoy the water and everything. We don't buy bottled water anymore, so we just drink out of the tap.

I went to Home Depot to buy something and a lady told me if they can check our water quality for 30 minutes only and they will give 20$ for just checking it. It turned out that it was a salesman and it took 3 hours of Demo. Would not take NO for an answer. I kept telling him it’s not on our budget and I have no job at this time. Told us a lot of benefits and how much we can save from our water expenses by using their product. He insisted that home Depot finances everything and we only have to pay a Flat rate of 159$. Guess what? After 20 days, I received a letter telling I will be paying 179$ an extra 20$ because their financing company Aqua Finance financed the amount.
I called Home Depot and the Managers name that was in our document. I told her that that was not the agreement we and the salesman spoke. She started raising her voice and threatened us that they will report us to credit agency. After that I called Rainsoft main office which is in San Antonio, a representative there denies they don't represent Corpus Christi and says it was the Dealer Home Depot. So I went there directly and looked for anybody I can talk. I spoke to one of Home Depot manager and he himself don't know anything about Rainsoft doing business in their place.
Finally I found the Manager from Rainsoft but refuses to speak to me personally. The manager handed me a phone and she told me that “we will take off the amount that we added”. I took her word but then in the afternoon she called me and told me that “we will give you two option with the financing”. I told her what happened with our conversation. So I told her to “just remove your water system out of our house”. We have lied from the very beginning. From the time of the Demo, the time of Installation which they told us 2 Hrs. and it was 7 hrs. then from the prices. What's next, the Services, the increasing charges. I have checked Consumer reports online and I found this very alarming. A lot of complaint is being reported from different states that is similar to my complaint.

I no longer buy bottled water after having RainSoft install our drinking water filtering system. The installation technician actually did a good job. Went over the steps and worked quickly, and if we have any problem he gave us the manual and also phone number to call. Also, the sales rep who went to our home was cordial and professional. All in all it was a good experience.

We did the big, whole house unit and then got the R.O. system for under the sink from RainSoft. Their presentation was a little long but aside from that everything else was great. I had no problem with the sales rep who was professional and the installation team did a great job.

We did the survey and then we received a phone call to see if we want to get an appointment, and also at that time they also had a $25 gift card for Home Depot, so we agreed to see a representative. He was pretty good and knowledgeable. We purchased the water purifier installed in our basement. I think it is a reasonably good work. One thing about the installer though, when he tried to connect the water pipe, for some reason the water sprayed in the basement but he did not do a very good job to do the cleaning. Other than that, he did a very good job installing the system. Since having the water purifier, we noticed the difference in the water. We don't feel dry skin after the shower, after washing the hands and face. We also saw the equipment for drinking water too; it also has a very good quality, for the taste of the water too.

We've had RainSoft forever. Somebody came out and did a test on our water a long time ago. We just got a replacement and it works fine, no problem at all. We upgraded from the one we had installed about 25 years ago to the one we have now. Everything is fine and I don't have any issues with it at all.

We have a well, I just want to get tested so I did a water test with RainSoft. They called back with the result and told me someone was coming, free of charge. They also said they would do more detailed tests and I just agreed. They were all good. We purchased the softener, an RO system, and and the thing that goes in the furnace to clean the air. They did a really good job and they were quick. I actually noticed that my iron level wasn't as high as the system recommended to be put in, so they retested it and recommended a different system that wouldn't cost me as much and wouldn't be overpowering for my house. Since then we no longer get the iron build-up that we used to have. And, of course, the RO systems taste better to drink.

We needed a whole treatment system for our house. Contacted a new dealer for RainSoft Water Systems, HD Water in Morris, CT. The salesperson came and did a very informative presentation and showed us the faults in our water. For each problem area there was a solution. We got the entire system and it was installed with professionalism and perfection. Salesperson extremely knowledgeable and polite.
Our water is so much better with the reverse osmosis system for drinking and cooking water. The system for our washing machine is fabulous, I did not need bleach for my whites for first time ever and they came out great. The system for the house water for showers has helped our little girl's eczema tremendously and I no longer need to use tons of skin moisturizers. My husband and I are very happy with the quality of the free soaps, detergents and shampoos that we qualified to get for years to come from the company. Try this company if you are seeking a water treatment system.

We moved into a new development and the people from RainSoft were going door-to-door. My husband and I had talked about getting a water softener before. Their sales rep came in and did the demonstration for us. He showed us that we had really hard water. Apparently our location is known for having hard water anyway so we decided to go ahead with the deal. We bought their big package - the whole reverse osmosis thing. When the installation team came in, they installed everything very quickly and showed us how to use it. They were in and out probably within an hour.
The water has definitely softened up. My hair is nice and soft now. My skin is softer too. We had a great experience.
