I was just notified that I have been paying a monthly fee to this service that I didn’t realize I was signing up for and you guys took care of the charges and closed out my account with such ease and it was very pleasing response! Thank you for all your help!

I noticed that I was being charged a recurring charge and only wanted to be charged for the one document. I could not find my account details listed under my account. Customer service was able to confirm what I paid for and canceled my account for future charges.

I went to the site looking for property info for a family member. They said $1 for one report. Ok no problem. We'll it's the end of February and $95 later. The website lists bundle prices and the charges I got were not even listed in those bundles, very strange. Reached out to customer service and Russel was able to help close my account (that I didn't even know I set up) and refunded all charges except the agreed upon $1. Hopefully that refund shows up on my account or I will have to report them for fraud.

HIGHLY DECEPTIVE!!! I have no idea why this site is reviewed so highly. Beware! It is NOT a government entity though it looks like it. They will create a report and then ask you for $1. Seems innocuous at that point. But that dollar is only to access the report. Once in it will show you various parts of the report asking at each point for more money. I spent $30 without knowing the costs were accumulating. But the worse part is that as soon as you give them your credit card number you are signing up for recurring payments of $10 every fifteen days! You will have to call them to cancel that subscription. Most people don't even know they have subscribed until they see recurring payments. These records can be found at the actual government site. It will appear later in your search. Go there instead!

Service was excellent however I was not aware that the package would continue to be billed at $5 a month. Only needed it for a one-time lookup (very helpful for that). Was user-friendly once I started my search and provided what I needed promptly.

I request some information to an address and got the report fairly fast. However there were a number of serious errors on the report. Two of the errors had to be sourced from a bank and the City. The next four errors must have come from the either the **, **, or ** but not from a qualified source.

When I no longer needed this service, they were exceptionally helpful in cancelling my package. I appreciate that very much. Many companies will put you through obstacles to cancel. To me, this shows a quality product!

I am extremely impressed with the support I received from Russel today. I contacted support regarding recurring charges for a service I hadn't realized I signed up for and hadn't used. Russel was professional, efficient, and incredibly fair. Not only was my account closed immediately to prevent future charges, but Russel went above and beyond by proactively issuing refunds for multiple months of unused service once they verified my account history. I did a search and inadvertently signed up for an ongoing subscription which I noticed on my credit card statement. Via chat I requested a refund and it was processed with no pushback. I appreciate the customer service.

I wish I would have known about your company back in 2024 when I hired a half witted management company to take me out of the loop. I moved more than 45 miles away and could not be burdened with the responsibility of managing the property. They spent money I never authorized! Had extreme trouble accessing their portal. It came to the point they were going to end the contract midstream because I became their worst nightmare. The one transaction I performed while enrolled with you was the easeist investigation I ever had to do!

I was charge monthly for my membership, so, once I decided to cancel, I contacted customer support (chat). During the chat, I requested to cancel my membership, and the customer service agent, named Thomas, was very helpful and professional. He helped me and canceled my membership immediately.

Kimberly was Quick and efficient. It only took a few minutes get my email and full name to locate my account. Once my account was located, she was able to assist me with taking care of my issue with closing my account and stop reoccurring charges.

Used this service to search a property that I was interested in for short-term rental. Signed up in early 2025 at the low rate. Rate increased in December 2025. Was surprised when I saw the rate go up but customer service rep refunded the charges right away when I used the chat. Happy to have used the service initially, but had to watch for the charges to increase.

PropertyRecs.com has no self service option on their website to close an active subscription account. This is disappointing. A customer has to interact either via email or chat window to have this issue addressed. Identity Access management is also provided via an email reset link instead of a username and password field couple with MFA.

I requested that my PublicRecord.Us paid subscription account be closed via the chat. Within a couple of minutes I received a confirmation number that my account was closed and future payments canceled. Thank you. Eileen K

However, I was charged $20 per month even though I only used the website twice between October and now. I just wanted to view one report and cancel the account or the billing so as to not receive more billings after that one report, and I was able to do just that. Make sure you pay attention when paying for a one time search. I was. Charged multiple times for a one time search. But was refunded one of the charges. Just pay attention to what you are agreeing to.

I was disappointed with this service because it did not provide what I was looking for. I specifically signed up hoping to locate my divorce decree, but that information was not available. The only results I was able to find were previous addresses and possible relatives, which I already knew and did not find helpful. Well the site provided none of the information I was told it would and I was told I would only be charged $1 to search for what I was looking for. After I made the purchase is was charge $5. Yes, the information was helpful and my municipality sent me to PropertyRecs.com to get the info. But it's a misleading business that signs you up for a subscription without clearly telling you or giving an easy way to opt-out. I had to call to get them to cancel. Which in the end was easy and they refunded the pervious month. But their methods are questionable and I will not use them again.

The Public Record Experts were very helpful in giving me some suggestions to finding answers to my inquiries. Although they did not have the information I was looking for, they responded promptly and were a great help.

I don't know how they helped me so quickly! I was sure the response was ChatGPT, but somehow, they answered all the specifics in my question. Both Aaron and Michael helped me, mostly because I got confused, left the site, and then returned. The responses were step-by-step, and ironically, it was beyond what I could do, but I liked that even more. Sometimes you want a quick response, just so you know it is not practical to pursue.

A word of caution. Although the information, data sets, etc. on houses is reasonably fair, be mindful of what you are opting in for which includes a bi-weekly subscription. I'm sure I clicked right through it and am thankful I check charges on a weekly basis.

I was unsuccessful signing on to my account more than once. Each time it said I was sent a verification code, this did not happen and I requested a second one but was still unable to sign on. I called, was put on 3 min hold twice, and both times was disconnected by your phones. So, I decided to try Chat, to my surprise I was immediately connected, I have only used my account once but have been charged for each month (7 times). I only asked for a 3 month refund and account closed, granted without any hesitation. I wish I would have asked for another 3 months. Thank you. Tina

I write 3 checks at the end of the year: insurance, HOA dues & property taxes when I realized we hadn’t received our tax bill yet! I posted on NextDoor asking if neighbors had received theirs yet & several said they had received & paid theirs already! I was preparing to go to Quitman (Wood County seat) tomorrow when lo & behold I received an email with our tax invoice!!! I was very surprised & super grateful! First time that had ever happened & I’m so appreciative that even on New Year’s Day, Mar took the time to send us our bill! Totally awesome & with big thank you from us!

Not knowing where to begin my research, I consulted this website, since neither myself nor my uncle are physically able to visit the local repositories.

I was disappointed when the results of my search showed a match, but after I paid ($1.00 and $4.00) for a PDF version, I found that there were seven matches to first name only. None to the last name. I notified the company of my disappointment and was surprised to receive a response asking what, specifically, I needed. After I sent my reason for the search, I received another response telling me where I might obtain the specific information I sought. Started out annoyed, ended up garateful. A bargain at $5.

This is a deceptive business. Paid $1 for a single property report, then got a multiple recurring $20 charge on my credit card. Will be disputing at banking and blacklisting them for all charges within my bank. Do not use this “service”. Not sure how this business continues to operate. Wish I can put zero stars.

I signed up for one report for 1 dollar on my personal property. I guess they hope that no ne will notice when the charge $5.00 a month. Well it worked until the jacked it up to $20.00. Not noticing it earlier is on me, but jacking up the price and then raising it when no other reports were asked for after the first. That sounds like crooks to me, you decide for yourself.

BE WARNED. This company uses some of the most egregious practices in business. They lure you in with a $1 charge to get a property tax record, then begin charging your credit card every two weeks. Moreover, they lure you in with the $1 charge to access the records, but then piecemeal it out so that you have to pay ever increasing charges to get the actual information you need. I called to dispute the periodic charges. "Sure," they said, "we will send you an email form, fill it out and we will refund you." Guess what. I have not received any emails from them. FYI, many counties/municipalities provide this information FREE OF CHARGE. Go directly to the county/municipality source. DO NOT REWARD THEIR UNSAVORY BUSINESS PRACTICES!

The customer service responses were immediate which is a rarity in today’s world. While some of the information provided is not 100% accurate, it is not due to any failure of the company. They report what they find and in that regard, their search capability is second to none. I am happy to have found them and am extremely pleased overall. It is well worth the minimal cost.

I looked up this website to purchase and single report and was charged for a package. I could see that I was charged $1 dollar. Then a few days late $5. I suspected I was going to see unexplained charges coming out of my account on an endless basis to I reached out to have the service cancelled. I used the live chat, and the process could not have been simpler and more cut dry. I will be watching my account of course, to ensure the company has kept its promise but at least they did not make cancelling a hassle.

Then they will charge you regularly—$5 every few days or $20 every 15 days until you cancel, So cancel immediately after you get your report by calling 866 242-0544. Don't cancel using their website. That's not effective.

I am trying to fill in some large gaping holes of my family tree, which is a mighty lofty goal considering I was adopted, and my dad was adopted...It has been a challenge. Every little scrap of information that I get is like finding the golden egg at an Easter egg hunt. So, I brought my small amount of information about grandpa to you for verification, thinking that it would take forever for someone to answer my questions...But actually my questions were all taken care of in less than an hour. I didn't get to verify grandpa's temporary home at the prison farm, but it wasn't for lack of help and guidance from the county clerk's office. I will try again at the next office that was suggested.

The website was easy to navigate and the data reports I requested were very detailed and responsive to my requests. The office responded very quickly to my email to them and provide additional helpful advice on how I might collect any additional information I need that wasn't provided in their reports.

I wish I would have searched for these reviews prior to requesting the report online. I needed my information to submit a homestead exemption and the report provided by PropertyRecs was adequate. However, similar to the other reviews I paid $1 for the report but began to be billed $30 a month without any confirmation from propertyrecs. When you log into their site there is no section to check for subscription or cancel it. You must use their LiveChat. Based on the agent's response this must be his whole job, cancelling recurring charges. He refunded one month, but I was not able to catch it until 4 months had past so I essentially paid $91 for one report. Seems like a shady business model to me.

Extremely helpful and fast to reply. Even at 2am when I was deep diving into the history of where I work someone was online to help me. They also quickly provided step by step instructions on how to go further back in time for me to find the property’s ownership.
