We have lived in our house for 20+ years and the NEED for windows was evident in year two. That being said, I had read the reviews regarding the sales presentation and salespeople from Power. Yes, the salesperson was in our house for several hours. We were more than prepared to sit and listen to the value that Power brings to their projects and their products. We had Power replace all of our windows, as well as our oversized sliding glass door. It has been thirty days since the installation and I could not possibly be happier with the decision to use Power. Their crew came in and did the job in ONE day. (16) windows and the sliding glass door. My house has changed. Not only would I use Power again, I highly recommend them for their windows, professionalism, quality of work and overall planning. Thank you!!

I consider myself pretty well versed when it comes to home improvement. But there are items out of my wheelhouse physically, and one is siding. Our old siding was failing, so I did the HomeAdvisor thing, and Power was the first to call and come out to give an estimate. Actually, they were the only company from HomeAdvisor to come out! I did have a couple other independents that I knew that gave quotes, so I had 3 numbers to compare. I went with Power as they offered a lifetime, transferable warranty on their products.
So... We knew what we wanted with the siding (old cedar shake system to come off, new cedar replica vinyl siding to go on), and windows capped. Now, our house is almost 100 years old, so there are some character items that I wanted to retain with the woodwork around the windows. I was assured that the windows would appear as they were, just covered with aluminum. Ok... We pulled the trigger and set a date. The day came, the crew arrived and set to work. My wife and I both work from home, so there were ample opportunities to check the progress etc as the day progressed. The crew spoke no English except for the crew leader, no great surprise there. They wrestled with the old siding (that I had installed) and suggested a better way to remove the siding since I knew the system. That suggestion was ignored for the most part. Whatever.
At the contract signing, we were told that there would only be one wall at a time done to minimize open areas in case of weather. By the end of the first day, almost 2 sides were open, albeit covered with house wrap. Second day... I had to step out for a meeting, when I returned the window capping had begun and I had to stop the crew right there. It was the worst looking hack I had ever seen - and it was nowhere near what I had asked for. And the crew had cut off some of the details over top of the window frame (nothing more than a drip ledge, but still - it was part of the charm of the house), so I called the job manager to express my concern (but not exactly in those terms). He in turn called the crew lead who asked me what, exactly, I wanted. So I had to show him exactly what I wanted... even though it should have been spelled out from the get-go.
It took them a while to figure out the logistics of the metalwork, but to their credit they did, and were able to mimic the now missing drip ledge to my satisfaction. It was minor stuff, but some houses are about the details - and this house has it. So we're onto day three of the job, the crew seems to have hit their rhythm with what needs to be done and what has been installed so far looks good. Time will tell, of course. Tonight, a 'quality assurance manager' showed up with a trainee to talk about the issues we were facing. He listened for a good hour, made some notes, then tried to upsell us on insulating our attic. For an hour. It was something we aren't ready to do and this fellow was not taking the brush off = we had to make a decision right then and there. So we did - we kicked him out of the house.
So wrapped up - installers don't pay attention to details that they a) should have been told about or b) were told about but don't care (we had issues with a garden being completely trampled and parking - a narrow lot... Not much space to maneuver. I was told only 1 vehicle would be there... 3 showed up). We were subjected to a hard sell that we didn't ask for (and really, for something that nobody needs). The only fellow who treated the project as it should have been treated was the project manager - no hard sell and was able to talk to the crew as needed (though, not much changed). Our job should be completed in a few days. Let's hope there are no lingering issues once done.

I contracted Power Home Remodeling to installed windows that will help keep out the sound coming the busy road behind our house, as the noise became serious concerned because my husband was having a hard time sleeping, and it is the only reason for replacing our windows, nothing else. The company convinced us that we would get what we are looking for, as the sales representative put up a strong demonstration that proof that and we bought into it.
Finally, our entire windows were replaced by Power Home Remodeling on June 22, 2019. The installers did a good job but they left some scratches on the living room and one of the bedrooms hardwood floors. Unfortunately, the product that one the sales representative, Josh used in the demonstration was quite different from what we got. He told us that we will get the exact same products they used in the demonstration, but not at all, as the product we got did not deliver the quality they promised, as I do believe that the windows were not “reducing sound infiltration” and energy saving/“heat shield”, as the heat from the sun heat up the entire house, and noise from the road behind the house continue to bother us.
My husband spoke Patrick, one of the representatives about our concerns, who told him that the windows we have is only one they produced, that he has nothing to replace what we have. They are sending someone to my house on June 28, 2019, and I wonder what difference that would make, when I have already been told that there are no other windows to replace what we have. Honestly, I was expecting more from Power Home Remodeling, especially claiming to be number 2 largest homes remodeling in the United States. We do not want to pay all for just pretty windows, but quality. This was a waste of our time and energy, and our house was turned upside down for nothing. I am so disappointed. Beware of the sweet talk sales reps.

We met Lamar at BJ's to get an estimate on our moldy roof. We had Sydnie come out and inspected our roof. We liked everything she said and set up to get our roof installed with Power Home Remodeling. The Roof was done in one day and the gutters the following day. It was the easiest process ever and we are very happy to have worked with Power Home Remodeling.

Power was installing windows around the neighborhood and had someone drop by to ask if we were interested in an estimate. The salesperson Matt came out and explained all the features and benefits of their windows and doors. We loved the demonstrations and the fact that their products are guaranteed for life. We would recommend!

I was approached by a salesperson at BJ's Wholesale Club about window replacement - not needed but I asked if they also can do doors. Took some manipulations to get first appointment booked but am so pleased with the results. Yes the ordering process took a long time but I got the custom dream doors I always wanted. Try doing that at Home Depot or Lowe's. I did for 2 years and made zero progress. I can now toss all those books. The prices were higher than some other rough quotes but here are the facts. These people followed up, verified the order, confirmed dates, called, were prompt, polite, professional, organized, helpful, listened to concerns, made it happen. They followed up after install to confirm all was completed. Now I have three working doors that are stunning.

They were quick but not rushed, everyone was professional. The gutter crew left some pieces behind before they left and I was concerned because it could have been a safety hazard for my children. That is the only reason for the 4 star otherwise they would be a 5 star.

All the Power representatives from sales to the installer and its quality assurance department were very professional. After the installation we had a couple things which needed to be corrected, and there was no hesitation on Power's part to take care of them as soon as possible. I am also very satisfied with the quality of the windows that Power installed.

I am 100% satisfied with the service Power H.R.G. provided. My house had asbestos siding that needed to be removed, it was 50 years old. The new siding and trim looks amazing! They are very easy to deal with at all points of contact. Not the cheapest company but you get what you pay for.

We are having all our windows replaced through Power Home Remodeling. They are more than willing to work with us in steps so we can afford to pay for the windows cash without having to take out a loan or use our credit cards. Brandon ** has been our "go-to person" during this project and he's been nothing but great! Responsive to our calls, our concerns, and friendly and efficient, and works hard to get us the best deal with his recommendations. The product itself (windows) is great! They look wonderful and are easy to use. The screens are so fine you can barely tell there's a screen in the window. The installers are also terrific! They come on time, work efficiently, and do a great clean-up. The follow-up after each project is done quickly and they are quick to fix any minor problems. I would highly recommend Power for windows!!

We met Power at BJ's in August, 2018. After a push for a no obligation visit, I consented to have them come out. At the visit, we decided not to purchase even though we were offered at discount if we "bought today", but the estimate was good for one year. They continued to call us for several months into the winter so we decided to revisit the idea of installing siding. They sent a new salesman out in May after three re-scheduled visits. Finally meeting with them, they told us that the original estimate was wrong and under measured by 200 s.f. The new price was over $3000 higher. We re-adjusted the price by eliminating gutters and negotiated a price that we were comfortable with. The salesman needed to plug in his printer to print out the docs and then forgot his printer. He came back two days later for it without calling, and just walked into my home.
I was shocked, scared and caught off-guard! I was really upset because I was not dressed and just got out of the shower. The following week, they sent an inspector who measured again and said that it was again under measured by 200 s.f.! We don't understand how our house keeps getting bigger, but they would not give us a copy of the measurements. The price was this time almost $6000 more. We declined and they said that they would send the salesman out to cancel the contract. I looked at the contract and yes, they can cancel due to "inadequate pricing". We got a call that the salesman had a family situation and could not come out so we could discuss over the phone. I asked him to call me back in 10 minutes because I was driving. I never heard from them again!

We ordered windows based on a recommendation of others and were impressed enough with the presentation to give the go ahead. The workers were prompt. The difficulty came with the follow through. Unfortunately the employees could not reinstall the trim around the two bay windows they replaced, apparently due to time constraints and/or ability. As agreed, we did not pay them until the job was finished which really set off the workers. The project manager agreed to send someone to finish but then came himself because no one was available. After nearly six hours trying to install trim he gave up and told my wife he would take $500 off the price and we would have to finish it ourselves!
As she learned he had no prior experience with carpentry and had previously worked as a landscaper. He apparently could not use a miter saw either. What really upset us is that they would so easily concede they didn't have the capability to finish. Could anyone imagine going to an auto repair shop and having the mechanic say "this is too hard, you'll have to do the rest yourself". I can't imagine ever using them again for fear I'd have to finish the job myself. One other thing....the windows do appear to be a good quality but the screens are very cheaply constructed, but that's on us since we never asked to see them in advance of signing a Contract.

I had a sales guy banging on my door yesterday who said he was from Power. He said he stopped by because they had just done a window installation across the street and noticed my house still had the original windows...my windows are less than five years old. I quickly told him we were all set. Happy to know it’s a legitimate company but still seems shady to me.

Although the window installation was completed on schedule, lot of dust was left on the floor around the house as they just wiped it lightly. After a couple of days, the quality assurance manager came and checked everything. He submitted the application for energy efficiency rebate. However, utility company sent me an email saying the application was flawed as it was missing the U-value. I called The main office, a customer rep told me to download form warranty website. I checked the warranty website, but it didn't have the U-factor document. I called the main office again, then someone emailed me the tickers' pictures. However, he missed the sticker for the customized window. I had to asked him again and got the right sticker. This whole experience has wasted lot of my time.

The team of installers were great, very efficient and cleaned up all around the house. The roof looks great. The time frame I was given was spot on and there was good contact with the office. In reading some of the other reviews I do have to agree that the product itself looks to be just as promised except the only thing that bothered me was the high pressure to buy more of their products. When the gentleman came by who was supposed to be overseeing the install ended up being a salesperson it was somewhat deceiving. Nice guy but it made me very uncomfortable and he stayed a long time. Time will tell if the roof holds up like they say it will.

My roofing project was done in February 2019, job took 1 day as planned. There was still some ice & snow both on the roof and groundwork area but it did not hinder the project. In May 2019 I had 5 windows installed which only took about 2 hours. They worked quickly, efficiently and cleaned up and left the work areas spotless. Also a few days later I had siding and gutters installed. The siding crew was wonderful. They had the bad luck of a few rainy days but worked anyway for as long as they could. Due to the weather the project only went 1 day over what was planned but they an excellent job. So with all this work completed I now have a new house and am highly satisfied and I highly recommend Power Home Remodeling.

Installation of the Hurricane Windows by this Company has been a pleasant experience & renewed my faith in humanity. (I physically helped my husband build five houses in Ill. With the knowledge acquired doing that, I wasn't prepared for the unexpected aggravation experienced when having one house built & 2 houses remodeled in Sarasota, Fl. area. Different products substituted on day of installation, too many sub-contractors in and out of the house & not cleaning up afterwards. I just expect to receive what is promised.)
From this Salesman's clear presentation of product, answering of questions down thru the friendly, efficient CAREFUL Installers of the windows I have no complaints. Cleaning & clearing of any debris was a real plus. I've decided to have an additional double dinette window replaced now instead of waiting & hope to have the same Installers and efficient work performed as the 1st time. I do not have a problem recommending this company and product to any of my friends and neighbors. I am so appreciative of this experience compared to previous remodeling projects.

Jamie and John are very, nice, experienced and efficient. The job went well. The sales pitch was not overly high powered, and the workers showed up as scheduled for the windows, gutter and attic insulation. They cleaned up and had me inspect the work before signing off. The sliding glass door was a replacement of an old door and side windows. It came in late so it had to be installed at another time. I was not given any paperwork nor was I warned that my steps would be not aligned with the door. Now I have to pay to have someone get rid of the concrete stairs, remove bushes, and make stepping over the track less dangerous. This was not explained to me or I would have selected something else. Since this an older home, more work was recommended, but I firmly declined. A little more information would have been helpful, and I would have selected another option. Be sure to ask plenty of questions, and be firm with all the representatives who come out.

The sales people were over-powering but polite and professional. They lean a bit on you to get other things done while pushing the item you were interested in. Wanted a door and they pushed windows and roof. I checked online and found reviews before I decided to go forward. The complaints were about average for work done on one's house. Such as we were supposed to get a foot latch lock for the door but there was not enough room for the latch without causing a problem closing the or opening the door. We were told we would get new molding around the door inside the house. We were given a choice between two different types of molding. The day the door went in I asked about the molding and was told first by the installers that they were told to use the existing molding if they did not damage it in any way.
I brought the question up with the job inspector who told me they never replace the molding. If they did I would have had to go out and buy it and then they would install it. Entirely different from what we were told. I was okay with that because I'd rather put my own molding in. But if you think about using POWER make sure you get it in writing. Before the job starts. They have a procedure for their jobs. They first sell. Then they measure. Then they have a professional come and measure. Then the work is done. Then the support team of one professional inspector comes to check the job and ask if it's okay with us and then activate the warranty. No money changes hands until the work is done. We paid by credit card but you can use check or cash. Get receipts.
Their prices are not the cheapest but they seem to be more sure of what they will do for you than some of the major stores such as Home Depot or Lowe's, etc. Those stores would go no further than an estimate. Both stores said there could be last minute changes and pricing. I didn't like that but they started by giving us a lower price by $200. POWER gave us a set price. No last minute changes.
So if you can put up with the sales pitch you can have a good product installed and reasonable pricing. The work crew by the way cleaned up all the messes they made which were few and removed all they said they. They worked steady and hard from the time they got here till they were done. Nice guys and very professional. They stopped to answer my questions without making faces. Bottom line here is they are a good company and deserve a chance. If they start the sales pitch but you're already sold tell them so and tell them to get to the paperwork. This is what happened and it's my honest opinion.

This review is basically the same as some of the other 1 star experiences. I was on a day off and completing tasks outside (Unfortunately). I would not and don't answer the door for sales. I was approached by two people. They were nice enough and stated they were in the area and their company does home remodeling. The one person commented on our roof (which isn't needed) and then asked about windows. Windows do need replacement and I figured that since I was home, I didn't care if someone came and did a quick estimate.
The salesman showed up on time at the scheduled time and then proceeded to stay at my house for about 3 1/2 hours wasting my time and ruining our dinner. I wanted an estimate, not to hear a 3 1/2 hour campaign about the company. The half hour I gave was for the estimate. At no time did I ever state we were going to buy windows on this date or schedule anything. Once the price came out and we said we would be interested at later date, as someone else stated, "the used car salesman started." Basically I had to tell this person I and he was done and to leave. Once the answer was no and he wasted three hours, he turned into a child having a tantrum.
Based off of this experience, it is a reminder why it is better to be rude and tell these people from the start to leave the property. I don't normally write reviews, but this was that bad. Also there were way too many personal questions asked and asked again. I had one time where this situation worked for me, when a LOCAL company paved my driveway. This person and company (Power Home Remodeling) ruined any shot anyone else has to ever earn business at my residence in this manner. If this person came and did an estimate in around half an hour and left I would not have left this. For the amount of windows I have, that is not unreasonable. Bottom line, I would have been much happier with myself if I had told them originally to ** OFF!

We made an appointment through a representative at Sam's Club for gutter replacement and window replacement. We were told that the estimate would take an hour or less. Not so. The representative who came to our home was like the old definition of a used car salesman. Was intrusive to say the least. After too much selling of his company finally inspected our gutters. It then took every effort to get him to give me the estimate. I had to force it out of him. When I asked to see a sample of his product, he told me he wasn't allowed to carry one and that his company did not like sending representatives to only sell gutters. I was told he would give me references for customers who had similar work done in our area.
The rep told me that wasn't allowed and could only show me a general map of customers in the area, but no addresses. After 90 minutes of this nonsense, I finally asked him to leave. By this time. I would not even consider him to inspect our windows for possible replacement. The net is that I would never consider doing business with this company, based on this experience.

Used Power Home Remodeling for siding, fascia and gutters. The rep that came to the house was a nice guy and very personable. We spoke about our homes being the single biggest investment most people make. We want our homes to be protected against the elements and small problems are better addressed early than late to prevent them from becoming bigger problems later on. Now the siding job last done on my home was likely a shoddy DIY job done by one of the previous owners. It was old and there were several areas for concern. The rep took measurements and got the scope of the project we wanted to accomplish. Let me start by saying I am not a stranger to the building trades. I worked in the building trades and do most projects on my own or with little assistance. The rep said that as far as wood replacement goes there were several areas of concern on the house.
Having replaced every first floor window on the home with a exception of the bay window in front. I knew the first floor windows and adjacent surroundings were solid. While the rep took measurements and visually inspected the house, he stated there were indeed areas of concern as far as wood replacement. One definite concern of mine were the areas around the basement windows and an inside corner where a gutter had gone over several times prior to me owning the home. The rep stated that he always figures for wood replacement on the “heavy” side. Makes sense. You’re not going to know until you open it up. We were provided with 2 estimates that day. The usual sign now estimate and the slightly higher good for a year estimate. General sales tactic that everybody else uses including Power Home Remodeling.
I thought pricing was a bit high given the volume of work they do. I understand that price is not only materials and labor, but the reps in the field and the people in the office etc. I am never totally opposed to paying a bit of a premium for quality above the rest. When we omitted a particular portion of the project. The initial rep said that would probably bring the cost down $$$$ [redacted, for reps protection]. At that time the rep stated that that adjustment could be made at the time of the preinstall inspection.
On to the pre install inspection. Another very personable rep who remeasured, and finalized the product that would be used. At that time we made the adjustment in materials but let's just say the savings was not at all close to what we were initially told. On to install day. Knock on the door as expected a little before start time. Very punctual. In a matter of 15 minutes there were 16 guys stripping my house and garage. Now this is the part that gets a little tricky. With that much work going on it is entirely possible that if you are not watching what’s going on, this is where you’ll get the wool pulled over your proverbial eyes. So my advice would be have an additional set of trusted eyes to help you do your due diligence. Remember this is your house and your investment. So next thing you know they got house wrap going up.
Now when someone quotes you “heavy” for wood replacement because you “never know what you’re going to find when you open it up”. That’s fine, I get it, better to be prepared. But when no wood arrives on site to be replaced, then you got to think something's up. Lo and behold the crew is preparing to cap the basement windows without removing the old aluminum to visually inspect if in fact there is any rot. After being ignored I called the project manager who was not yet on site. He told me who the site foremen was and I went to him with my concern. Sure enough plenty of rot under those windows. So that wood was indeed replaced. At that point all other existing aluminum was removed from the other windows and fascia board. Another point of contention as far as the wood replacement goes was on the garage where there had been an air conditioning unit installed in a wall.
The crew had no problem removing the unit from the wall but just proceeded to house wrap right over the hole. Seeing that I was dumbfounded. So I addressed the hole myself with materials I had on site. Still though, who does that?? There were a few more hiccups over the course of the install that were corrected early because they were caught by myself or my brother-in-law who also has years in the trades. Overall the 16 man crew worked very hard and had the place stripped and resided in a little under 12 hours. Clean up for the job was ok given the debris created. I spoke with the project manager that evening and he had said gutters would be installed the next day. The next day came and went. No phone call, no gutters.
The following day the gutters were installed. Obviously a subcontractor, I have the business card. I thought Power Home Remodeling didn’t use subs? However, that outfit was pretty top notch and would certainly recommend them in the future. I thought they did a nice job, were quick to answer questions, make adjustments and were very courteous to my wife and I. A Power rep did arrive on site when they were finishing up the install with a completion paper to sign. As far as anything post install. I was contacted once about a quality assurance visit, but was unable to arrange a time. The company said they would call me back for a convenient time but have not received another phone call.
Overall we are pretty satisfied with the new siding. It certainly changed the look of our home for the better. I was a little more than concerned with the speed and willingness to just go over something rather that address it given the cost of the project. I would sacrifice speed of completion for genuine care and concern. I would most likely recommend at least giving this company a look for a project. I would however not go as far to agree they were completely “Expectation-Shattering”.

My husband and I are happy to recommend Power Home Remodeling for windows and siding. I don't feel that we were "sold" anything. We were educated. Clearly they are a high end supplier and their products are excellent. We were informed every step of the way and we feel that we made good decisions. From the first visit we were treated respectfully and intelligently. While our siding install was several years ago and we sought Power Home Remodeling out, our window install was not at the top of our list. Once we saw the actual condition of our windows we moved it to a priority.
Our install was done in one day and there was not one bit of debris or problem inside or out. The only evidence of the crew being in and out of our home was our new windows! The same can be said for our siding - a bit longer project but well done! Everyone we talked to was wonderful and seemed to have a stake in the company which made us very comfortable. We recommend them completely!

I answered the door to a salesperson in my neighborhood for Power, and let them know that my wife and I had been interested in replacing our windows since we bought the house, but were at least a year away from being ready to do it. The next thing I know, he hands me his phone to speak to someone to set up an appointment to measure our windows. I figured a quick quote couldn't hurt to see what we would be looking at in the future. Then he started asking me how much I travel for work, what I did, where my office is, where my wife's office is, who was home and at what time of day, how old my kids were and when did they get home from school, what time does my wife get home from work, who is here during the day.
I tried to cancel the appointment but someone showed up two days later and said he needed to come inside to see every room to measure the windows. When I told him I only wanted a ballpark estimate and that we weren't interested right now, he insisted that he come in and sit down with me and my wife to learn more about us and to give us a history of the company. He also asked about what time we leave and get home and about our kids. I told him to leave and he got upset about having to drive out to my place just to be turned away. When we're ready, we will not be calling you. Stay out of our personal business.

I only have them replace the windows and their team is good and products are good. If you are going to have Power Home Remodeling company to do the project, you must make sure the products are what you get for what you pay for it. The sales consultant may say yes to you and may put the wrong products on the sheet. You need to be careful...
I was not very happy for the door replacement project, signed to do the project then to cancel, then to re-sign the project then to cancel it... The first consultant came to my house on 12/29/2018. I signed up for a project for $20,000 (a lot of money) worth work of 13 windows, 2 entry doors replacements. Then I changed the project after the Pre Installation Inspection manager Joseph came to my house on Jan 3, 2019. Joseph ** is very nice and explained to me all the details, then I found that a lot of thing were not the same as the sales consultant told me, so I canceled the 2 entry door projects and 6 window projects, just to replace 7 windows to see how their service was. April 4th, 2019, they replaced the 7 windows and it was very nice and then same day I would like to add to do the 1 entry door project, so I did.
May 11th, 2019, the Pre Installation manager was in my house to measure the door and to check the door before schedule the installations date. And I found that the glass type, the glass type and size was wrong on my entry door at the beginning. I told the first sales consultant that I would like to have the glass size is half size of our entry door, but he put it "half moon" shape/size glass, it was a big different. So I cancel the project. Good luck for your remodeling with Power Home Remodeling company.

Power performed a complete roof inspection and presented a comprehensive presentation of the products they offered and the cost to complete the project. They walked us through each step it would take and performed a final inspection to ensure we were satisfied with the completed project. They are priced a little higher than others but I would use them again just on their customer satisfaction policy.

I met the young man representing Power and scheduling appointments in Sam's Club. He was very informative and professional. The young men that came out to do my estimate and go over the materials gave a wonderful presentation. They were very knowledgeable about the materials so much so that by the time they left I was ready to schedule for installation: 23 windows whole house siding and gutters. According to a knowledgeable source the price was very good. The project was completed on time. The window, siding and gutter crews were fantastic and hardworking. Very professional. Everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. Also communication with project manager and office staff was excellent. I would highly recommend Power Home Remodeling.

One area of gutter leaked after the install and with one phone call, they came out next day and fixed the problem. I would highly recommend Power Home Remodeling.

We had someone come to our door and offer a free estimate for a new roof so we scheduled it, unfortunately the cost Of the roof was 1/3 of what we paid for the house so it was not worth it for us in the end. We could have paid cash but we wanted to see about financing to help our credit because we liked the presentation before we decided it wasn't a good financial decision, but were unfortunately denied. What they fail to mention though, is that they're going to run your credit 5 times!! Would have been nice to know. They do put you on the spot to commit immediately so we didn't want to fork over a lump of cash and it ended up hurting our credit pretty bad. The salesman was also at our house for 4 hours!! from 6pm to 10pm! He literally smoked my husband's cigarettes and asked for a plate for dinner. It was just a bizarre experience. I wouldn't recommend.

Power first showed up at our home (after waiting 10 weeks) with our windows. Not one window was the right size. Not one! This was April 13th. I was told by my "project manager" that approximately 1 in 500 people has this problem with them because they have a "glitch" in their software that changes the measurements that are entered into the system to whole numbers. I asked them how such a large company could be fully aware that they have such an issue and that they haven't either changed software or figured out a way to fail safe this so it doesn't happen to people. He had no answer for that. And since he had a statistic of 1 in 500, this has clearly happened repeatedly and this company does not care that they impact any of their customers.
Please understand, they knew that I had a siding installation scheduled for April 29th, and that we needed these windows in before the siding installation started. I then spoke to a warranty manager who promised me that he was hand delivering the correct measurements over to the manufacturer himself since he was in Philadelphia. He also promised me that the windows would be in Atlanta by April 25th and that they would be installing them on April 26th.
Not one person contacted me between April 13th and April 22nd, so I initiated a phone call to the warranty manager and left him a message. He did not bother calling me back on Monday so I initiated another phone call on Tuesday April 23rd. He told me that he would have to send an email to the manufacturer to see whether or not the windows were going to be on time. He also told me he would call me back later that day. When I did not hear back from him by 4:00 p.m. I proceeded to try and call him 3 times and got his voicemail each time. I then called another warranty manager and she at least had the decency to be honest with me and tell me that no, my windows were NOT going to be installed on the 26th.
I was then promised a date of Tuesday April 30th for installation, but they were not going to be able to actually confirm that until Friday the 26th when they saw the manifest of what windows were going to be on the truck shipping from Philadelphia to Atlanta. Needless to say I have gone with their competition to install my new windows, which were actually over $1200 less expensive with an upgrade of pet screening in them that Power does not offer.
So, buyer beware! Also understand that their window pitch is over 2 and a 1/2 hours long! Yes, we spent over 2 and a 1/2 hours with this salesman because we thought that they actually cared about their customers. And don't even think about getting a siding quote from them, unless you have a spare 5 and a 1/2 hours in your day! Yep, two salesman were in our home for over 5 and a 1/2 hours to get a siding quote that was over $25,000 more every other quote that I received. One person did finally call me back after I canceled the installation with them and promised me that they were going to "learn from this", and wanted to know if there was anything they could do to keep me as a customer. Wow...

I answered a knock on the door (unfortunately), and spoke with a very nice young college-age looking young lady. She gave me a brief overview of the product, asked if they could come out for a free estimate. I said “sure”. She explained my husband would need to be home, so we scheduled it for Sat. morning. When she asked how my day was going, and I answered “busy”- to which she replied this would just take a second. Before I knew it, she was on the phone to “confirm the appt time was available”. Then she handed the phone to me.
The man on the other end began asking the same questions I had already answered , and then asked things like what time does your husband get home? He indicated he needed to know so they could schedule an evening when we’re home. He was very pushy, and made me VERY uncomfortable. I told him we had already agreed on a Sat. morning appt. t that point, red flags started going up, so I told him I had changed my mind, and asked the girl for the paperwork with my info on it. Shredded it in front of her, and asked her to leave.

My husband and I had said at the beginning of the year, one of the things we absolutely needed was a new roof and gutters. I came across a Power Home Remodeling rep in a local Sam's Club store (Tucker, GA) on a Friday. I set up a free consultation for the following Tuesday. The sales consultant was on time, very pleasant, appeared to be knowledgeable and thorough. She took measurements, photos and explained to us what she saw using the photos. We already knew we had a pretty bad situation and just wanted to know how much it was going to cost.
She recommended the whole roof would be replaced (all the wood [total re-deck] and whatever layers needed between the wood and the shingles); photos were used to emphasize why this was needed. On the gutters, no question, they were in bad shape; we know we need new, bigger and better gutters. She even suggested an additional down spout in the back to accommodate the size of the roof and the increase rainfall we have been getting in recent years. All of this, we thought, was sound advice and we were on board. All of this talking, looking at the outside/inside rooms/attic, taking photos and looking a laptop Power HR videos, took about 3 hours.
So, when the time came to get a price, it was out of our price range. And as I have read in many reviews, the "one day price" came out. We expected it, no surprise. It was not much lower than the original price. So we kept talking until we got to a price and monthly payment we could live with. The pre-installation inspection date was set and I thought we were on our way.
The pre-installation inspector shows up and here is where things start to go sideways. First thing, he informs me the soffit and fascia on the front porch is not included in the estimate. As the porch is a part of the house, I didn't see why it was excluded. He said not to be too concerned as frequently the sales consultant's estimations are in broad strokes, so there would probably be enough room to get it done anyway. And in the end, he said that was the case.
He spends a good hour outside. When it came to looking at the inside to look at the wood, he gets his ladder, pops his head up in the attic, with no additional lighting, for about a minute or two, takes 2 or 3 photos (as he said, to prove he did look!) and that is that. I have some sheetrock damage in one of the bedrooms, so he can see the wood planks. He makes a comment that since the original wood is plank and have spaces in between, it is a good chance that the reason for the sheetrock damage is because the water came through the cracks, soaked the sheet rock, which absorbed the water, became heavy and fell. However, the wood could still be good and they would save the good wood and replace only where needed.
So, now his inspection is over and we are at the table. He goes over what they are going to install concerning the roof and the gutters. All sounds good until we get to the gutters in the back of the house. He is recommending one downspouts from the upper level and the sales consultant recommended two (see above). He tells me my roof is not that big; she said I had a very large roof. I show him the photo she took and her note to add a down spout.
I also mention that the sales consultant took a lot of photos and I am sure he has reviewed them before today's meeting. He informs me he does not have access to her photos, just her report. I say this is not good because if he had reviewed both her photos as well as her report, one, he would not have been surprised that she recommended two down spouts, and two, he would have been better prepared on the condition of the roof wood. He says to me, I can have two down spouts if I want it; I tell him I want it and it is noted. I sign off on everything and an installation date is set.
So when my husband returns home, I give him a play-by-play review of what happened with the PII. He is not happy with the "porch soffit/fascia thing, the missing down spout and he really is upset with the "about face" on the full re-deck that the financing is paying for. He says, if they are going to do a "save the good boards" thing, the price should be adjusted. He is not happy and so we call the next day to express our concerns. I wanted to talk to the PII, but instead get his manager, Ryan. Ryan listens to our concerns and now informs us that Power really is giving us a great deal because the initial measurement of our roof was off 650 feet!!! So even though we won't get a total re-deck, the amount of wood initially figured would be the same because now we have a bigger roof! Isn't that the biggest bowl of you know what, you've ever heard!
We got Ryan's direct number, talked it over very quickly, and called him back to say, "No thank you. We will not be moving forward with this project with Power HR." He then informed us that our initial sale consultant would come back to do the paperwork the next day. When she came back, with flowers in hand, she apologized at least a dozen times, saying it was all her fault. She tried to tell us the math that was supposed to be used to do the calculation and that she forgot to do a part of it so her number a off. We were sympathetic, but no sale.
Last but not least, the lower price was offered. No sale. Both the sales consultant and the PII kept saying they wanted to be "transparent". But once you see the people, the company are not "transparent", you cannot do business with them. I really hate it turned out this way because we really do need the work done. And I had talked to another customer of theirs who had windows done too. That was going to be my next project with them. But one thing for sure, they taught us a good lesson. We know what to look for and better questions to ask now.

When I called about it they told me that because of our rafter tail wasn’t plum the gutters would never work properly. So they actually installed them knowing they would not work. They drip over the sides and leave puddles in various spots. One of those spots is right at my door! We spent the money to get the gutter guards because we were told we would NEVER HAVE TO CLEAN OUR GUTTERS AGAIN!!!
When I called I was told “Of course you need to clean off the debris that collects on top of them!!” WHAT!! What happened to never cleaning them again. I’m told that means I would never have to clean out my gutters but I do have to clean off the debris that gathers on top of the guards! The salesman was told we are both disabled and these guards will be perfect since we cannot climb a ladder any longer. He knew that wouldn’t be the case. He just wanted the sale. Power was very aggressive in their sales pitch to get me to replace the roof on my house. Making claims that I have in writing about poor conditions which included rotting wood, mold and lack of ventilation. Claiming that I needed to have my roof replaced in the next 4 weeks. I had another roofer come to look and specifically asked them to check the same items. That roofer said I had at least a year or two before needing replacement. He did not see any mold or rotting wood and let me know that I had 9 vents in the roof which is more than should be required.
Now I got a letter in the mail requiring me to opt-out of being pre-screened for credit from them. I have not signed anything, they should not be running any type of credit report. In fact I never even gave them my SSN so I am not sure how they obtained that information to begin with, unless it was obtained in some illicit manner. This type of aggressiveness is not needed, in fact I may have done some of what they were talking about, but after today I will not be seeking their company out any further and will warn anyone that I talk to about this company.

I had an excellent experience with Power Home Remodeling from the start of the project to the end. The project was replacement of aluminum siding on my house. I was apprehensive about replacing the siding on my house due to unusual items such as: Partial stone accent on the front of the house that was directly connected to the existing siding. Back deck that had been installed after the original siding. Multiple cable runs and cable accesses into the house. Front, side and backlights. Other items attached to the house such as gutter downspouts, vents, power meter, electrical outlets and air conditioning power box.
The sales consultant, Will, explained each step and answered all the questions I had. I wrote down questions for the pre-installation walkthrough. Steven answered all the questions and even provided additional information. The installation crew was professional, cleaned up after the installation, and did an excellent job. Original Review: Power Remodeling stated they did not sublet which is why I picked them. After my deck and front porch was damaged there were subcontractors whom now say it was normal and tear except power managers saw the deck and porch prior to work beginning. This has been one of my worst experiences. Power does not stand behind who they allow to wreak havoc on your property. Not only did they damage the deck, they put holes in most of my screens, hit my new rails and stairs, there were nails and debris everywhere, then we find out the didn’t replace any rotten wood, so another subcontractor had to fix the siding around the windows, replace wood.

This review is going to be a true and honest account of the process, from start to finish, with Power Home Remodeling. Power Home Remodeling visited the neighborhood my husband and I live in. When I answered the door, the representatives were very professional and friendly, and scheduling a free estimate for roof replacement and insulation was very easy. These are projects my husband and I knew we needed to get done, which is why I set up an appointment. Note: they do require verbal confirmation over the phone for any appointments they make, and the process overall took about 10 minutes.
Before the inspection/estimate, we received a follow-up call to confirm our appointment, which showcased a high-level of attention to detail and customer service. The follow-up appointment with Remodeling Consultant, Zac, was very time-consuming, but informative. Zac’s level of expertise and experience made us very comfortable, and his warm demeanor and no-nonsense attitude made him very trustworthy. He went over all the materials they use for the insulation and roof replacements, shared the history of the company with us, ensured my husband and I understood the photos he took of our attic and roof, the purpose of his inspection, and the reasoning behind his recommendations.
He didn’t use any high-pressure sales tactics and was also very friendly with our puppy, which was a huge plus! They do require all homeowners be present for any paperwork, which is communicated during the setup of the appointment and is actually a very wise business practice that protects both them and the homeowner(s). Note: I do advise you block out a minimum 4-hour window for the appointment, as there is a lot of information to cover, and if you move forward, paperwork.
During the appointment with Zac, my husband and I decided to move forward with an insulation install. Another follow-up appointment with pre-inspection Project Manager, Christopher, was to ensure we understood the details of the project. He advised what needed to be done beforehand, provided EPA notes, and reiterated the work that would be completed. During this time, Christopher informed us our house was measured incorrectly; the difference in price was nearly a grand, which was concerning, but was cleared up/corrected during the next meeting with Aaron **, who was in charge of overseeing the project into the final stages.
Meeting with Aaron was like meeting with Zac. Aaron is another professional expert with a house of his own nearby and he cleared up the confusion with the house measurements with a quote that was actually a little bit less than what Zac quoted. He is also a building inspector and contractor, and he took the time to look at our roof, and advised us in the same manner Zac did, which was to replace our roof and do the insulation. He also followed up with the lender and got us a reduced rate, and as budget was the primary concern, the rate reduction allowed us to feel confident in moving forward with both projects.
Our experience from then on went downhill due to a lack of follow-up, follow through, and customer service. The insulation install date (03.26.19) came with a window of arrival between 8 AM and 10 AM. The installers arrived a little after 10 AM and admitted they went to the wrong project. As I was home, I wasn’t too concerned. The install continued and all was normal – until it wasn’t.
We have a pocket door just off the kitchen that separates the kitchen from the side-door entrance/basement. Somehow, insulation got lodged in the crevice where the pocket door slides open and shut – how this was missed by Zac, we don’t know. With that being said, we need to keep this door shut so our dog stays upstairs, but any time the door is jostled, insulation (hazardous) falls down onto the floor. Anyone with a puppy knows their favorite thing is anything that looks like stuffing from a toy, which means we are constantly playing block and tackle with our dog so she doesn’t eat insulation.
It is important to note we set up a time to get it repaired (at their expense, as they were the ones who caused the issue) and that was supposed to be today. Though I made it clear my husband works odd hours, and my work schedule is a stereotypical 9 AM-5 PM, they attempted to FaceTime me at 6:45 AM. They called back at 8 AM, reached my husband (who had worked late the night before) and advised my husband they needed to push the appointment up from between 2-4 PM to an arrival at noon. This was fine, but what was unacceptable was them calling back at 9:30 AM to say they needed to reschedule entirely. We had already waited almost a week for them to return to address this issue.
Now, the roof installation – during our appointment with Aaron, we asked if a representative from Power would contact us to confirm what he said was a tentative install date of 03/29/19. Aaron said we would be contacted for confirmation, but we did not receive a call or any confirmation whatsoever of an installation date. However, I received a call 03/28/19 -- the day they tried to deliver supplies – not before they arrived, but literally when the truck with the supplies was sitting outside our house.
As I was home sick from work, I was able to move my car so supplies could be placed in the driveway, but again, we did not receive any communication. We also did not receive a call informing us a dumpster would be delivered and parked in the driveway the same day. It was only during my brief phone call with the representative who asked me to “move my car from the driveway” for the supply delivery that I learned we were scheduled to have the roof installed 03/29/19.
During this time, I received a call from a representative regarding the Installation Completion Certificate for the insulation. As the project was not completed, my husband and I did not sign the form, which is something we communicated to the installers as well as Aaron. I am unsure who called, but it seemed very strange that they were concerned about this certificate when it was documented that the pocket door needed to be addressed and there was also an appointment on file for it to be addressed. We also received the paperwork from our lender, which shows the old rate they quoted and not the new. These two things ramped up the frustration.
On the day of the roof installation, I received a text message – not from Aaron, but from an individual named Josh, who informed us he was the Project Manager (confusing, but okay?) and of when the workers would arrive. He also shared via text the workers were Scandinavian and spoke very little English – which I thought was very unprofessional, as something like that should not have any bearing whatsoever -- and advised via text to call him if there were any issues. The installation began and seemed to be going just fine until the tail-end.
We communicated with Aaron (who we thought was the Project Manager) the two satellite dishes that had been installed before we purchased the home didn’t need to be put back on the roof. We thought (incorrectly) that this would have been put on file or at least communicated to Josh and the workers – it wasn’t. One satellite dish was put back on the roof, which prompted a call to Josh. Though it was removed again, the worker who removed it randomly cut the wires that had been attached to it and left the remaining dangling from the house.
When I followed up with Josh and asked when the dumpster would be removed, he stated it was communicated to us that “dumpster removal was not done over the weekend,” and the dumpster “would be in the driveway until Monday.” This was definitely not communicated to us, but he was able to work it out so the dumpster was removed the following day after install – and his “sorry for the miscommunication” came off as more annoyed than professional. Additionally, we were promised a thorough cleanup after the project was complete, but the cleanup was anything but thorough. Plastic and bits of leftover materials on the lawn (both front and back), granules from the old shingles all over the porch and driveway, bits of materials in the neighbor’s yard, and just this morning (4/2/19) a nail in the driveway.
Though the materials used were all top of the line, the insulation is great, and the new roof is a relief, the experience overall left something to be desired. Yet, even with a lifetime guarantee and transferrable warranty, lower rate with the lender, and the friendliness of Zac, Aaron, and the work crews, the expense of the project and the trust we put in Power should, at the very least, mean we receive prompt service and concise communication. My husband and I are first time homeowners and they knew it – and I’m sure our ignorance played a part in all this.
We had a lot of people in and out of our home, felt like we got passed around a lot, and the job still isn’t done. I would advise anyone who decides to move forward with a project with them that you write down every name/title, the service they provide, and keep a personal log of who you spoke with, when, and what about -- as they apparently won’t -- and unfortunately, don’t -- do that themselves.

We were considering replacing our roof that is old though not leaking. Walking through BJ’s and they asked if we’d would be interested in a quote. Foolishly said ok. Salesman showed up, spent 15 minutes telling us about his family and their pride in his work then 15 minutes about how great a company Power Home Remodeling is. My husband told him UPFRONT that he used to be in the business. Told him how much material he would need etc. any details to provide a quote. Then another half hour for him to measure, ponder job etc. Then he comes back in the house and parks for another half hour telling us how superior his company is and how we should be fearful of any other roofers.
Had to ask him to leave after finally getting a number which was more than TWICE as much as the roofer who did our roof years ago that is still in great shape. They follow a script of fear mongering if you use anyone else, parking in your home until they get a signed contract, and then they had the nerve to call the next day for another appointment. Run to any other small contractor rather than purchase from these overpriced high pressure usurious creeps. Would rate them zero if that was an option.

The young man sent to give us a quote was very pleasant. Unfortunately, he works for a company that overcharges. He represents a company that stresses its marketing, and says that they don't charge the market rate for their windows because they don't advertise. Their prices are outrageous, I recommend calling a local company, Carrollwood Window and Doors, their quote to me was half the price of this company for the same work. (I have no interest in Carrollwood Windows and Doors, only a customer who has used them in the past and will use them in the future).

We initially had a good interaction with Power. However as the project began we started to see that we were sold incorrect information that led us to make a large and very unnecessary roof purchase. Sales Rep - You need a full re-deck. Based on the 'sales pitch and photos of our roof' we believe our roof is in shambles. Project Manager - You will only need a partial re-deck. So we still believe a new roof is necessary and no one has communicated the actual state of our roof. Day of project - no wood is replaced on our roof at all and only a shingles upgrade was done.
Overall, we would not have signed a contract for a new roof that cost us thousands of dollars if we absolutely did not need one. To say we feel scammed would be an understatement. As a young family with our first home we believed that we were taking the necessary steps to secure our home. This company should send a licensed professional to review the roof structure instead of a sales representative that does not know what they are looking at or talking about in terms of roof damage or quality. We were under the impression that this person had at least some credentials, knowledge or industry experience to know what he was looking at and talking about. Apparently that wasn't the case.
Perhaps in a few years (5-10) we may have needed a new roof but the roof we had was in good condition. Based on the fact that NO wood was replaced and the supposed mold and wood damage was not there. The repairmen even told us that they were not informed of any damaged wood and none was scheduled to be replaced. We will not be working with this company for any future projects and have lost confidence in their service and objectives. This review isn't in regard to the company or employee's cordiality or professionalism. It is the fact that dishonesty, false information and a lack of communication caused us to make an unnecessary purchase that we will be paying for (with interest!) for years. Lesson learned: we will make sure to seek a licensed professional to assess all future home repairs before working with a company.

Just based on my 'free estimate' experience, I would NEVER do business with these jerks! Saw them at the Oaks, PA Home and Garden show. Was asked if I'd answer "one quick survey question" as I was walking by. Like an idiot, I stopped, and 20 minutes and tons of questions later, I was still standing there. I should have cut the cord right then, but having now invested all this time, I was curious to learn of their cost for replacement windows. I scheduled a free estimate appointment, which I later had to reschedule to to weather.
At the time of rescheduling, I was asked all the same questions I had already answered at the home show. Then, on the day of the appointment, they called an hour and a half prior only to ask me all of the same questions a THIRD time! I was not at all happy about this 3rd interrogation, and was rather blunt about it on the phone, only to say, "I've answered these questions previously, and I'll be ready for your rep to arrive at 10!" AFTER being more than ONE HOUR late, I finally got a call to say the rep got detained at his prior appointment, and my appointment would have to be rescheduled. This is BS since I was told previously that their appointments started at 10 am on Sunday! When asked if I'd reschedule, I promptly said "NO WAY!"

Jeff, schedule confirmation caller, then asked me to confirm my CREDIT SCORE in order to show up for the estimate for the work. These guys are the worst. They are scam artists of the highest degree. They started my siding job in August. It is still not complete. And here we are in February. I have no lights on the back of my house three of them. And one side spotlight was never installed. None of the crew speak or understand English. So you can't communicate with them. If you call someone from the company so you can speak to somebody in English you may not get a callback.
They took insulation out of one wall where I had a leak. I asked them if they would replace it or did I need to get some. They said they would take care of it with hand signals. They buried a live wire in the wall behind the siding with nothing on the end of the wires. Lucky for me where the wire was was also where the insulation was supposed to be reinstalled. When I looked in the wall there was no insulation. They leave the worksite a mess. They don't know how to clean anything. They take as many shortcuts as they can. They never replace any wood as they were supposed to before they wrapped it. They come and go when they please with no notice.
When you complain corporate says, "You should have been told. We're sorry." My driveway got ruined when they dropped off the supplies in July. I was told that would be taken care of right away. It's still has not been addressed. Most of the siding that they put up from the first crew all had to come down cause they did such a terrible job. The first crew that did the original install came out a few times to fix issues that I was not happy with. They left and said all done. I was still not happy with the job. Had the supervisor's supervisor come out. Went over the site with him. He was not happy.
They sent a new crew out after firing the first crew. They finally got the job done right but still haven't finished. Still need my lights installed. Lucky for me I have installed siding before so I know what things should look like that the average homeowner may not look for. I had let the company know that I have installed siding. I let the crew know that I have installed siding and I would be very critical.
Do not under any circumstances hire this company. They told us once the gutters were installed we had to sign off on the gutter installation as that was a separate crew. We were happy with the gutters my wife signed saying that the job was completed to her satisfaction IE meaning the gutters. Next thing I know I'm getting billed for a job that was far from complete. I will be getting a lawyer and suing. They are thieves. BJ's will send you a survey. I gave them all zeros. Never heard back from BJ's. Please do not hire this company. They are the worst. I have my construction supervisor's license and have done Construction as well as siding. Too old to do it now though according to my wife. Run away from this company and just keep going.

The salesman said I would not see seams in the siding as their boards are longer than most. I see several seams just looking out my front door. The board are 12" like every other company. They did the job around a snow storm. The day they started it was not snowing. The next day it was so they did not come. The third day they finished the job. As a result of the snow they could not clean up. After the snow melted I had nails and parts of stuff in my driveway and throughout my yard. They ended up coming back to clean up. When they came they had 4 men so they each took a side of the house. As a result, each side was only partially finished when they left for the day. All of the old siding had been removed and the house was wrapped, but each side was only partially completed.
I had scheduled for two gable vents. They ended up putting them both on the same end of the house. They are coming back to correct this. When the quality person came, throughout our time, his wife kept sending him pictures of their child, which he kept looking at. Also, part way through, he excused himself to go outside and take a phone call. When he returned I found out it was a personal call about dining room chairs his wife wants. My house looks good but I feel the salesman should have better knowledge of his product. The work crew could have communicated with me so error like the vent would not have happened. My family met with a Power Sales Representative who walked us through the entire process of getting windows installed. A date was set. I called to postpone the installation process because of a medical procedure and Power accommodated me - very helpful for our family situation. The Installation Team showed up on time and began work immediately after introducing themselves. It has been especially cold where we live and the offer was made to set up a warm room for me which was nice. I needed a little help getting the final prep done for installation which they promptly did.
Out went the old metal frame windows and in went the new composite material windows. I watched the team work for a few minutes and it was interesting to see how much insulation was in the walls. The entire job took about 6 hours. The Installation Manager came and reviewed how the windows work and we examined the installation job done. It was great. Two things I noticed after the job was done. The first was the quiet from the outside - a noticeable difference. The second and most important - the house started to get warmer. We were using plug in heaters because our furnace was broken. What a difference great windows make! Thanks Power Team!

Very well as far as installation. But meeting with the job inspector was a high pressure sales and scare tactic pitch to sell more windows for the 2nd floor apartment. This was not discussed at the 1st interview. We were told that a window on the 2nd floor was leaking between the seal of the window and would lead to a water leak in the walls if not replaced in the near future. So he concluded that we needed 9 new windows. And if we did that we would get a better price for both jobs combined at a better interest rate. This was on a Wednesday Jan 23rd and he was going to call us on Saturday the 21st for our decision.
Today is Feb 6th and he has not called us at all. We are assuming our interest and payment will be as first quoted. We are not happy for the sales push, we were not expecting that. We were also not pleased that he never called back. We asked him if we could keep the paper he was doing his figuring on for the different payments and he said no so I started to take a picture of it with my phone and he put his hand over the paper so I could not take a picture. In most cases the installers are just starting out and don't have adequate experience in installing the product. In other cases, because of the low bids, the installers cut every corner they can. I have had two homes done by Power (package deal), with different sets of installers. In both cases installers didn't provide the proper flashing for the rain gutters. They also did not cut openings or remove the plywood to ventilate the soffits, despite installing ventilated soffit covers over the plywood.
On one of my homes they damaged the roof when I asked for flashing to be installed, because the installer used the wrong material. Also, an opening in the side of the soffit allowed birds to inhabit the soffit. When I complained to Power they sent out an appraiser who acknowledged the roof damage, but decided it wasn't economically feasible for them to fix it. They denied they were responsible for creating the opening that allowed birds into the soffit. The siding was done relatively well, which is why two stars instead of one. You can save money by getting an reputable installer and asking them to use the top of the line materials that are available commercially to anyone. Cut out the middleman.

Nails and paint chips/wood chips everywhere! The did not speak English but Russian? Could not communicate with them. By days 6-8 it was only one person.
They borrowed our ladder and went into our garage and borrowed our cables for their broken down truck without permission [which we would have granted]. They left our porch roof littered with nails etc when the job was "done". They tried to get me to sign job was done before it was [sign language]. "Manager" came out to inspect work before we signed off. He was visibly unimpressed. Took pictures of the mess and windows. They did our bay window so poorly he agreed they had to redo the entire window. He also agreed all the windows weren't sealed properly and needed to be fixed. We went over all the above issues too. They came back the next Monday/Tuesday and fixed the windows. Forgot to clean the roof and surrounding areas. Had to come back out again to clean up after we reached back out to them.
What did they offer us for all our troubles? If we did our basement windows with them we would get [a $4,000 job] 20% off THAT job. So, we would have to pay them MORE money to get $900 off THAT job. And this was before they came back twice to FINISH the current job. So, we didn't even have a completed job yet. Which was a $14,000 price tag. I asked about discounting the current job as why would we hire them again? I was told there was nothing they could do. We are in the 2% of dissatisfied customer base. We have written to them too. Oh...and then we got an email thanking us for giving them a 5 star rating!!??

We met Power Windows at B.J. They gave us the talk about the windows. When we built the home we are currently in, we could not afford good windows. The salesperson from Power looked at our past windows and pointed out they were not closing correctly, and were drafty and we were losing energy. (Yep, no ** Sherlock.) We installed Casement windows from Power.
The salesperson said the entire window would be removed and the new installed. Well what they did is cut out the old window and installed the new one in the old frame. I'm thinking oh no here we go. The frame around the window grew about 1" all sides. We use to hear the birds in the morning, NOT ANYMORE. The Power windows were about 2" thicker UV protected and safety glass. Talk about quiet, road noise we use to hear we could not. My wife had problems with allergies. This led to med bills for pills and doctor visits. The old windows had a crop of mold (ready for harvest) in the frames. When the new windows were installed all medical bills pertaining to allergies went away. However we do miss the birds in the morning.
We had 33 windows installed two days. I watched the guys do the install and they looked like they knew what they were doing. Everything was foam insulated and screwed in, English was spoken. I've had A LOT OF BAD experiences with contractors in the past, so I'm very paranoid. These guys did better than ok. We also had the side door installed with the blinds inside the window the door. The frame came in the wrong color. The crew leader needed a machine repaired, so I did the repair, and he covered the outside door frame in metal to match the house in every way. I was shocked. I was trying to find a flaw in the work somewhere and it was beyond expectations. The only drawback in the new door is that the door sill is a bit higher.
After less than one year the lever to open the door has broken. The door seals well, with magnetic strip the crew leader made sure that the alarm system was in correct placement. After the install and everything was paid, I needed a callback. I thought I was up the creek. Went to BJ and found the salesperson I first met and explained the situation. Three days later at the door was POWER. The service tech was GREAT. Did the repair that was needed. He spotted something at the newly installed side door and I overheard him say, "That's not right" softly. After a few minutes he went to the truck, fussed about, brought something in and worked on the door. After he was done he asked, "Anything else?" "No," I replied and he provided a good handshake and said, "Thank you for doing business with POWER." "Well" that's a first.

There are a handful of reasons actually and they range from the very first point of contact all the way through to the end of the project. The first real concern being the buy-now sales tactics. Giving someone a 5-digit quote for a project and asking them to sign off on it then and there is ridiculous - discount or not. People need time to think an investment like that over. Furthermore, the way the salesperson (as well as the district manager) described the nature of services being provided was not true. These reps hyped up the crews and the tools that they were going to use for the project to a standard that was not met in actuality. Don't get me wrong, the crew who did the job did good work and were competent, but they were nowhere near the level of professional that the sales reps claimed they would be. We were told that the crew doing the work would be on site at dawn. That did not happen on day 1 or day 2.
When I called the project manager to see what was going on he never called me back. When the crew did arrive there were only two of them for a roof we were told was over 2x the size of the average roof. There was no one on the ground walking around cleaning up like we were told there would be either (which was a huge selling point for us since we have small dogs). When the first work day was coming to an end and I went out there to see what the plan was I couldn't even communicate with them. They did not speak English at all, and I don't mean English was their second or third language even. No, I mean they didn't even understand me saying "OK."
Again, I want to be very clear this is nothing against the crew. They're doing the job that Power hired them to do, but apparently speaking to the customer is not a job requirement to work for Power Home. That is absolutely unacceptable for the "number one roofing company in the country" to at the very least not have someone that can tell the homeowner what is going on onsite. Am I really supposed to believe that their salespeople weren't aware of the language barriers when selling this service? That is something that should be disclosed to a potential buyer in the first few minutes of talking.
Now, last but definitely not least, on the last day of the project the crew did show up at sunrise, but around noon time the crew's family (wife and children including a toddler) showed up and set up a table in my yard for lunch. Honestly, I don't even mind that they had people bringing them hot food. I actually thought that was pretty nice to be honest, but the issue here is that the family never left. They stayed for the rest of the day and actually helped them finish (picking up scraps, raking the driveway/yard, and other tasks). Are those people licensed? Are those children part of the 2% or whatever it is Power claims to hire for roofing projects? Are they covered by Power's insurance because if anything was to happen who would be on the hook for that? Me? This, more than anything else stated above is beyond unacceptable.
We were promised an experience that Power did not deliver on. The video we watched showing what they offer showed a whole team of guys working on the roof together with half in the air and the other on the ground with a huge magnet device pulling up loose nails. Our guys had rakes (not even a broom for the driveway) and although they supposedly did have a magnet it looked nothing like the one in the video. Power hypes up their services by showing video of guys working with tools that the customers are never going to see. Power pulled a bait and switch. A classic example really. They showed us one thing but we got something else. In the end our roof was done and from what I can tell it was done well, but we weren't just sold a roof. We were sold an experience which was not provided.

I see a lot of people complaining about the amount of time spent explaining the job and materials but remember an educated consumer is a smart consumer. I actually liked the fact that they take the time to inform you. Any issues I had were all taken care of professionally and in a timely manner. The materials used are top of the line and look great. I would like to thank everyone involved in this project very much.

The salesman came promptly at 7PM as requested. But what I thought would be a 60-90 minute appointment lasted 4 HOURS! After doing his exterior assessment of our home, he came in for Part 1 of the sales pitch. He was definitely thorough and kept to the company script. But it's a very, very long script. Next he wanted to see both my attics, taking photos and pointing out "major issues" with my roof. That led to the detailed review of all the products and installation that would be used to solve my problem. The price was outrageously astronomical, even with a 10% BJ’s discount! Then the real warning signs!
If I signed NOW, he would offer an additional 11% off. RED FLAG! I politely thanked the salesman for the visit and told him his company's sales tactics are suspicious. The next day, I spoke to a friend who is a contractor about the "major issues" with my roof that the Power salesman pointed out. He told me they were all false, the salesman was lying! Be very, very careful if you decide to engage with Power Home Remodeling!

Almost nothing the salesperson said was true. You will not be able to contact him to confront him about his lies. Our job was nearly $48,000. At this point we just want the front of the house fixed where the siding is buckled as and needs to be one sheet and not pieces. Employees are not theirs, they all handed us their business cards for other work. The big crew that was suppose to show up with a guy to pick up nails with a magnet never happened. No supervision on the job site ever. The caulking looked like a child did it. I have pictures.

Our home has ancient windows and we have wanted to get a quote for replacements so that we can save up and plan for a remodel. I don't doubt that Power sells wonderful, quality windows and other home remodeling services. They really WERE beautiful windows! My complaint is that the salesman stayed in our home for 3.5 hours and plugged along with his measuring, demonstration, and sales pitch regardless of what our family needed. Once he started the script he couldn't stop. He kept trying to rope me back into his pitch as I fed my baby and preschooler dinner. I left my husband alone with him while I bathed my kids, read them stories, put them to bed and he still was not done. We joked it was a hostage situation but we just wanted a quote and we were hours in to the process.
After 3 hours we got the quote which was almost $20,000 for our 1,600 sq ft house. Clearly, we aren't about to go from starting a budget for a remodel to spending 2x what we expected on the first bid we received. That's when the salesman went into car sales room mode at our kitchen table, offering deals if we signed today, offering to call his manager to see if he could get a better deal for us, etc. After telling him repeatedly that we were never going to spend that kind of money on windows, he packed up and agreed to disagree with us, promising to contact us later about the quote. Please, don't bother!
The salesman Power sent was courteous on the surface but perhaps the rudest thing you can do is refuse to leave someone's home and keep them from caring for their children and spending time with their family. I looked up other reviews and this is standard for this company! There are people who spend 5 or 6 hours trying to get these people out of their homes. You have to ask yourself what is wrong with a company whose standard sales pitch takes 3+ hours and who offers some of the most expensive remodeling services in our market. I'm going to go with someone local who is too busy running a business to spend hours planted in my kitchen. And won't be pressured into spending $20,000 on the Cadillac of windows. If they come to my door again I will never let them in my home.

We had Power windows do a replacement of a number of windows in our home, the original salesman was extremely pushy. Was at our home for over 4 hours! I was not satisfied with the way one window was installed (I am a carpenter so I am aware of proper installation) and contacted the company regarding this.
The quality control manager came out and when we talked about these issues he approached us with a lower interest rate and added two additional windows at no further cost to us (supposedly). Other windows were installed and when we received our new bill... $10,000 more added to our original cost! When my wife attempted to contact the company and request to speak to the quality manager, we are being told, "Someone will get back to you about this." The reps were very knowledgeable and they had a very nice presentation and all of these audio-visual that we were able to look at and have an idea of how things were going to turn around and how they're gonna be looking.
The installation team was also very professional. They cleaned the place and when they said that they were going to start, they started. The quality of work done was good and I like it. The siding ended up to be done well too. The first time that we did the siding, there was some area that was not covered properly. This time, everything was covered. My wife and them were able to talk a bit about what the possibilities were, and I heard they were good. The only thing is they pressured her to talk with me about it before making any agreements even though her name is on the deed, and she talked about it and felt it was a little sexist. Also, there were things that weren't done as well as I'd like them to be. They did work very expediently and I understand that they have other things set up which they need to keep them on schedule but I think they felt rushed.

My wife looked up Power Home online and scheduled a consultation for our roofline. She was a little confused and didn’t realize that they did roofing in the exterior and not the interior so when the sales rep got here, he noticed our windows were older and told my wife. He waited until I got home and then, he did his whole pitch for the window and we went for it. He showed the comparisons of the windows which was great. He was upfront and even though their cost was a little more than Home Depot, he specifically said that if we don’t go with Power Home, the only other company he would recommend is Andersen because they have a similar warranty and products. Window-wise, Andersen is the only name I knew so I would have gone with them if I had not known about Power Home.
During installation, two guys came out, the windows got dropped off and they immediately started. One on the complicated bay window because we didn’t have a bay to begin with and the other guy did the other window with no problem at all. They were quick, efficient and very clean. Then, when the site manager stopped by, he gave me a rundown of the rest of the stuff.
The bay window was a determining factor if I really want to spend the money on changing our flat-scene window to the bay and I’m glad I did because it looks gorgeous. I noticed a difference in our energy efficiency with the heat and AC because literally the minute they left, that house retained the heat in there like we have never felt before. When the windows were done, my daughter’s room didn’t have that excruciating heat that used to build up in her room. She’s got the angled ceilings in her room and now with that one window being done, it’s a world of difference. It also looks nicer and I am 110% satisfied. Needless to say water pours over my gutters and my husband had to climb ladder to clean gutters.
Today I spoke to Nick ** who basically called me a liar by saying he had no idea what the salesman told me but they would not do anything about this. If I wanted gutter guards I could have them put on. I let him know how upset I was that I was lied to by the company and proceeded to ask for the Owner of the company's name. He refused to give me that information. I then asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he was the manager. I asked him who he reported to and he said no one. Obviously he thought I was a moron.
Here is what I have to say to Nick **... You should lose your job based on your lack of customer service skills! POWER SHAME ON YOU... I was outright lied to. BJ'S I thought because I got this company through your store it would be a company I could trust; you should really rethink having advertising for them! However, every time they do something, they manage to point out something else that has to be done. After the roofing, they said we had to get the next size up gutters. They should have pointed out the possibility of these things beforehand. Right now, I'm trying to get ready for another work that Power Home is going be doing which is to put aluminum foil barrier in the attic. It's going to rob me of half the space in my attic which I'm not happy about and I'm not thoroughly convinced that it's an absolute necessity. But the mechanism is in the works and I don't have the energy to pull the plug.
When Power Home took some of the underlying plyscore under the foundation of the roof, it dumped all the debris all over everything in my attic. It was an absolute mess. They made custom window sizes and the process of selling us the windows was very long and drawn out in order to make sure that our custom expectations were met, which they did. I had a good experience dealing with the sales representative and we actually ended up doing three things with them on a couple of different days. Not only did we do windows, but we did roof and gutters as well. While they were here, everything was great. But there was one small issue that is just annoying. I told them not to knock my keyboard over but they still knocked it over and then they looked at me like, "Oh, sorry." So my keyboard is now slightly damaged.
They had also said that they went around with magnets and picked up metal. But we were covered with snow and now that I've been cleaning up the yard, I'm finding metal all over the place. I've been picking up nails and pieces of metal. They didn't do what they said so I'm not really happy with that. It also looks like they may have broken the siding on our home and neglected to tell us that. I'm quite sure that it's now beyond the period and they would say, "Hey, why didn’t you say that while we were here?" But we couldn't have. We didn't know because of the weather.
On the one hand, the roof, the gutters and the windows are superb. We were really pleased with the work they did even though we spent way more money than we expected. I was gonna bring it to their attention when they come back out because I wanna get my whole house done. But the scratch didn't bother me.
Everything was perfect. They were real courteous and considerate. When they first came out, I had an accident with my dad. He was in the hospital and I was up all night. So when they did come out and had the phone ringing I didn’t hear anything. When I finally woke up, I called and they had just came back out after they finished their job. Everything turned out alright. I was satisfied with everything.

We needed a window and Pella's pricing was just a bit too much and Andersen didn’t wanna do anything if it was less than six windows. My husband heard about Power Home and set up the appointment with them. Somebody came out and did an estimate for exactly what we wanted to do. He knew what he was talking about, he was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions that my husband had. It was a good interaction but my husband and I make decisions together so he told the rep he couldn’t give a definite decision. The rep scheduled with my husband for me to meet him and go over everything again with me. But then somebody else came instead and I met with that person. His name was Jay and he was really good. He showed us the various options that we can get with the company and the different things that the company did.
The installation team that came was very professional, got things done in a timely manner and they were very conscious of the things we had around the house so nothing was broken. They were good in making sure that my husband looked at everything before they left and my husband was very pleased with it. I’ll definitely recommend Power Home especially after talking with Jay and knowing all those things that they did aside from windows. My husband told one of his coworkers who was interested in doing solar and he gave him the number of Power Home.

Power sold their service pretty good and for the amount of money that I paid, I expected an A1 job. But I had to call the contractor back to do some more caulking and the box somehow won’t heat up the house. And then they didn’t talk about the interest rate on the loan. They told me my payment would be $150 a month but I’ve come to find out I gotta pay six freakin’ payments of $100 before I even start paying off my loan. That was some crap. We got it all sorted and it’s all right now. But Power is a terrible company and I won’t recommend them to my dog.

Power Home Remodeling Group came through the neighborhood. They were working in the area and offered a free appraisal. When they came to show the product, I was sold on the demonstration of it and I liked that they are the manufacturer and the installer. I ended up getting 14 windows, several of the double hung and quite a few of the sliders. We had some bad weather come in. They called and said the truck may get delayed. I’m in the delivery business so I know how that works. They called ahead of time and sure enough it was gonna be delayed. They set up a new day and everybody followed through with what they said they were gonna do and that’s important when you’re dealing with this kind of business. And the installers did a great job. They were clean. I’d prepared for them to make a mess and they did not. The quality of the work was excellent as well. I've already recommended Power Home Remodeling Group to others.

Power Home Remodeling Group seemed like a very friendly company and was willing to work with us so we chose them over any other home improvement company. Everybody was very nice. They walked us through all the products that we were going to have put on our house and that was very helpful to understand -- the product itself and how it was going to be installed. We had a new front door and roof put on. We put in a special glass for the door. We also had a nicer handle put on and the paint color was to match the house. The quality of their work was very good.
It's just that we had a problem with the front door. We had an alarm sensor next to the old door and we asked that to be taken out so that they could run the new door frame all the way around the door and the service people or the installers did not do that. They left the alarm and ended up cutting the frame. And so then we had the quality control person come out and look at it. He made note of it and apparently, it was never called in. He was the one that wrote up the order for our roof which we had installed later on. And the thing when he wrote up the order was that he never made us aware that we needed new plywood decking for the roof which caused us about $5,000 more since the old decking didn’t comply with the new laws for the hurricane and the warranty.

The Power Home Remodeling reps seemed to know what they were talking about and seemed to be very enthused about their products. They came out the first time to show their product and the guy was with me for about four hours. There's so much time that a person can keep attention and four hours was a little bit too long but he was so enthusiastic. They came back a second time on a Saturday to measure everything. The guy was pretty quick and good and he made some suggestions. There was a lot of visits. The first guy came out at night time after work and I'm 70 years old. I was a little tired at 12:30 at night to go to bed. Also, it was hard picking out something and we were trying to pick out colors at night time. I was really nervous about the color right after that. But he was very nice and he was the big reason why I bought their product.
The installers were really nice to work with and were courteous. They had it installed within the doors one day and the siding the next. I also bought outside lights and they installed all of them for me for nothing. They did everything very quickly and everything was cleaned up afterwards. The only thing now is the appointment for the after vising to tell me about the warranty. Also, I'll give them a call because I need them to fix something. He explained the situation and I listened, then we negotiated a price. He was a very pleasant guy. Then their installation team very efficiently came in right at about quarter past eight in the morning and had everything cleaned up at 6:30 at night. I have a 4,000-square foot roof but they put a new one in one day and cleaned everything up. Our neighbor watched them and he told me that the company ought to make sure they keep that crew together. They were a good working crew and he couldn't believe that they did everything in one day.
The overall quality of their work is okay, but I was hesitant because I had covered gutters on my roof and when they put the new roof on, they overlapped half of the gutters. And when the heavy rain falls, the water isn't going to come dripping off of my house. Other than that, everybody at Power Home was very pleasant and very cooperative.

They cleaned up everything and gave me a good walk through once everything was done and made sure any of my questions were answered. So far, we're thrilled. The installation team was very professional and worked pretty quickly. We did the seven windows and the gutters at the same time. We have two custom windows that had to be made as these were curved at the top and Power Home was able to customize it.
Then we were a repeat customer for the radiant barrier. The only issue that we had as far as improvement was when we did the windows and the gutters, even the end process was very smooth. I liked to listen to the Power Home Remodeling Group reps’ presentation. I picked out their product and it looked very good to me so I thought it would be a good investment. They showed me the models that they had and I chose from the models that they showed me. I purchased 22 windows and 3 doors. The sales presentation was beautiful and I have no complaint about them except with the price because the rep quoted a price for me and then I renegotiated down to a price that was reasonable for me and we signed a contract on that.
However, after they put the products, I wouldn't have them come in and put the third door in. They charged me almost $5,500 on a door. If I had known it was going to cost that much with the third door, I wouldn't have asked for it. I called up Power Home Remodeling Group to complain about it because the rep didn’t tell me the door was going to cost me that much and after putting the third door back in, they got the price they had originally wanted for the project.
I called the company that financed the project because they sent the bill and they showed the increase with the third door and that's how I found out how much the price was for the third door. I called them and said that I didn’t buy anything for $6,400. They said that I did because Power called them and they added it to my loan. I asked them if they thought about getting in touch with me before they added on to find out about that and they said it was not Power’s forte and they didn’t have to do that. I had to call back to Power and talked to the project manager. He was trying to say that the person that came out to my house had told me that price. I said I didn’t hear that price for $6,400 for one door. He also told me that the other two doors I bought were about the same price as I paid for that.
Their products are excellent and beautiful because I see the difference in my house already -- the appearance on my house and also their comfortability in my house. The crews were professional all the way. They installed all the windows, even though one crew came in back and put the third door in. They cleaned up after themselves. If any of my neighbors asked me about Power, I'd highly recommend them. As a matter of fact, I recommended them to one of my neighbors and he bought a couple of windows off of them. Their salesman, the first one that came in and gave me the presentation, was right on point.
I was just shocked at that last door and especially after I had already spent about $28,000 for the 22 windows and the 2 doors I put on. Originally, he wanted 33,000 or 34,000 for the job. I talked him down to 27,500, but they got me back up to where they wanted me to be at with that door. I was shocked and I thought that if I had done that much with them, they'd even give me a better price on the last door, but they didn’t do it. They socked it to me.

Some Power Home reps walked around my neighborhood a couple years ago. And then we had another one show up in January, offering a free estimate. One of the reps was my husband's former student and this guy came in and we had our consultation. We were offered a really good deal, so we went with Power Home. We had most of the windows in my house replaced and our experience with the installation team was good. We had two different sets of guys both times. The first group of guys were really funny and more talkative and they played heavy metal music and joked around with my daughter. And the two guys that came and did the rest of the windows the second time were very soft spoken, polite and sweet. My husband and I were trying to move the bed back and they helped us. We had really good experiences in both times with both situations. They were very nice people and were down to earth.
The project started in January. They did two small windows in my family room and then a bay window in my kitchen. One of the salesmen came and sort of went over the money aspect with us. My credit was so high that he said they could me a deal on the rest of my windows as well. The expense was a little bit much for all of them, but a lot of our bedroom windows had ice that would form on the inside in the winter, so we had those replaced. He said they could really set us up with some new windows and get warranties on them. And I agreed that we should do that. It was funny too because we’ve been sitting in our family room where we had a lot of draft that would come through, and even in our bedrooms where you could hear the wind coming through the glass. And it’s been so nice to not have that as a problem.
Anytime the Power Home guys called, it has always been pleasant. They have always been easy to deal with, they listened to us and then they tried to work with us. And then after the contract was signed and two guys came around, they said they can’t take off the shingles and everything for that price. Beware when approached by this company for a “free” estimate. A pre-salesperson coming door-to-door finally convinced us to schedule for the same day, with a 3 hour notice. Not much time to do any research. We were clear we did not have a lot of time, and assured it would be quick. When at 7 pm sharp the actual salesman came, he was professional, polite, informative and enthusiastic. The presentation and window measurements took at least 3 hours. Even with my better-than-average knowledge of home improvement costs, I was convinced by the well-produced presentation and clever psychological manipulation that their vinyl windows were far superior to anything anyone else sold anywhere.
We were finally presented a price of over $34,000 for 17 double-hung windows, two bays, a plant window and a patio door. My initial reaction was that was extremely high, and though I asked for an itemization, I never received it. I was just distracted with more numbers and financing options, and guaranteed that no one could beat their prices (they showed some supposed similar invoices from competitors). There was a “today only” option of financing for $422 a month at 9.9% interest for 12 years (that comes to $60,000 in the end!). But the “if we have to come back” price was over $900 a month at 19% financing. This seemed very distasteful, but the explanation seemed logical that the way they can save you money is by not spending a lot of time on estimates.
We eventually reluctantly agreed to sign a contract, honestly mostly because the salesperson was so nice, the product seemed great, it was 11 pm and I was exhausted, I thought we could pay off the terrible loan in a year or so with a home equity loan, and there was a three-day cancellation allowance. The next day when more alert, I began to have some regrets that the price was exorbitant. I quickly scheduled some additional estimates with some local reputable companies. Even companies Power claims to be cheaper than gave me better prices on comparable products. We made the decision to instead go with a local company who offered me a price of $26,000 for all windows mentioned above plus an additional bay window, all in composite, a far superior material to the vinyl Power was offering.
We contacted Power well within their 3-day cancellation policy. There is no way to directly contact the salesperson, you get directed to a “cancellation department.” A “cancellation specialist” was sent out because they said we needed to sign additional cancellation documents to the ones we faxed in. We took time off work for this. This person turned out to be an aggressive sales manager. In having us answer some survey questions, it was obvious his goal was to throw his salesperson under the bus, but we insisted he was great, it was that we decided we could not afford it, trying to avoid conflict. He said they never get cancellations ever, so it must be something the salesperson did. He then launched into a line of questioning about our finances, wanting to know why we could afford it one day but not the next.
His frustration quickly turned to anger when he was not getting the answers he wanted. He implied we were crazy or negligent for not proceeding because our windows are so bad. He insisted we should just do some now. My husband stopped him, said we were done, said this pushy behavior is exactly why we don’t want to use the company, and he blurted, “Even if I could save you tens of thousands of dollars you would not go with us?!" (The job was only tens of thousands to begin with...) At this point my husband told him to get out of our house. He shouted at us on the way out that he might have to fire the salesperson for selling us a job on a house that was in my parents’ name (he got permission from someone and it shouldn’t matter anyway), implying it was our fault. Turns out, there was no paperwork to sign... The estimate might have been free, but the aggravation definitely was not.

Power Home was the first development company that came by and we were really impressed with their presentation. Their sales team was good. The installers were good too and they were fast. We got a total of 17 windows and a sliding door. We went with white and everything was the same, except we changed some that were regular windows with no openings, and we had it where they slide open now. I am almost 100% satisfied with the quality of work done. But, I wish they could communicate a bit. There were things on some screen upon the installation and I was under the impression I was gonna have another person come out and do a final walk-through.
When they were installing and they wanted me to sign off, I thought the guy would explain to me that somebody else was gonna come by. Looking then, I gave myself a day to look at all the windows, and we noticed some screens that weren't put in well and a couple of things wrong. They’re gonna come out on May 15 but it was a struggle getting them then to come back out. Nonetheless, Power Home had great service and they did a good job compared to what it could’ve been.

I've known about Power Home Remodeling Group at Sam's Club and they were the first one to respond on my questions about insulation. First, I had insulation in my attic. But then when they came over here, they checked and have two windows added to the project, so we also had two windows replaced. The installation was great and they were fast. We contacted them in December and everything was already set up for the insulation by the end of January. And the same thing happened with the windows. They came over in February and the windows were done by beginning of March. The overall quality of the work done was great. They were very proactive and they called over and over constantly letting me know where we were standing in the process and asking for feedback. They also always send somebody to come and check the work.

Our house was completely flooded and we were in the rebuilding process and we needed windows. I figured I'd give Power Home Remodeling Group a go. I purchased windows from them and they were exactly what I wanted. They were all custom windows and Power Home worked with me to do exactly what I needed. The sales rep was very thorough and patient with us. It was late when he came out but that was the only way he could meet with us because my wife is working. We had a lot of questions because it was quite an investment, but he listened to us and got us where we needed to be at the end of it. I totally believed in it so that was important to us also.
The installation team was amazing and they did 12 windows in one day and it was way ahead of time. When they got there, I thought I had to take another day of vacation to be there, but they were done before they said they would be done. And everything was square and fitted and insulated and in place, and they cleaned up and I could never tell they were there other than the new windows. The work was incredible. I would recommend Power Home and if I see Power Home talking to someone, I stop and recommend that they use Power Home for whatever. I regret not using them for my roof, but I had my roof lined up when they came in and it was already taken care of. But had I known, I would have used them.

It took a little longer than they anticipated but they took it in stride and kept going until it was done. They did a good job.

The work was very professionally done and we were very much satisfied.

The people who work for Power Home Remodeling Group were professional, punctual, friendly and experienced from the first day until the last day of the final project. Everyone was always ready to explain every project thoroughly with patience and clarity. All of the materials used were top quality and the workmanship was perfect. They did such a good job with my roof that I hired Power to do my doors. After the doors were complete I put the finishing touches on my house with the window caps. I love the way my house looks and I feel secure about the fact that all of the work will last for a long time to come.

Windows and installation were excellent. Only issue we had with calls to and from main offices -- would only listen to my husband, even though he told them anything I called about would be agreed by both of us - a bit chauvinistic on more than one occasion; don't get it in today's world but because of the excellent product, I would buy additional windows if needed.

Power Home has been great with everything we needed and we like the quality of the replacement parts that we bought from them. They helped us out with all the replacement windows. We customized it, with the flats in between the windows, the screen-type, and minor items. We had a rep that came to our house. He spent many hours with us doing the quote and getting us approved for all we wanted to do. And then, the project managers did follow ups through the whole field process and construction process. They would make sure that I was satisfied with everything.
They sent one crew on site to do the windows. When they realized they didn’t have enough manpower on-hand, they brought in another crew. They finished the job all in one day. The windows are holding up great and we love them. They're much more energy efficient. Power Home Remodeling is a good company to work with and hopefully, their products last long as they say they will.

I found out about Power Home from my field salesman who walked up to my front door. I liked what he had to say and then he made arrangements for a formal proposal. I sat down with that sales representative and went through the materials and how they would do it. We spent about five or six hours together and went through all the details of answering my questions and finding out exactly how they would propose to attack my problem. I had a roof and siding issue because some of the siding is above the roof on the second storey. The concern that I had was what do they do first -- put a new roof on and then have the siding people climb on the roof, or do the siding first and then rip the roof off and have to deal with closing up the joint between the roof and the siding. That was something that we had and we talked through in great detail.
The roof was put on in one day where they came and ripped off the old roof and put the new one on. There were about eight guys and they were climbing all over the house, some of which was two-storeys high and some only one-storey high. They were everywhere and they did a nice job of getting stuff off. We only had one minor accident where a piece hit the side of the screen window and it cut through the screen, but that was promptly replaced. They took all the materials down and loaded it up into a trailer that they had brought the new material in and swept up the yard. It looked like nothing had happened.
Three or four days later, the siding people came and it was a different crew of people, and they were here for two days. They started on Wednesday and were gonna come back Thursday, but they canceled because they were afraid they were gonna get rained on. So they came back on Friday and finished up the job. They had a dumpster and all the waste went into that and they generally did a very good job of picking up. I found a small collection of staples and nails mostly on the driveway so I chided them a bit about that, but there was not so much they could do about it.
The gutter group showed up the following week and they were only here for a few hours. They ended up with two of the gutters draining in the wrong direction. They weren't even here for an hour and they changed it. I pointed it out to them that they were taking the water to an area in my yard that doesn’t drain. They ended up putting up two new downspouts. We left the two that were there already in place and they just repitched the gutter to go the other direction, and it all came out very well.
The project has only been here for a little over a month now and so far, I'm very satisfied with the quality of work. I have done roofing jobs myself and they were up to my standards. I was impressed that there was very little on-site managing of what was going on. Everybody knew exactly what his job was and went on and did it. There was communication when they needed materials, but everybody had their own target and what they were trying to do, so they just proceeded to do it. I was very happy with Power Home. They did what they said they were gonna do and they did it efficiently and with minimum disruption.

Definitely not the cheapest company to go with but they generally do good work and are easy to get on the phone if you need something. I've had to use my warranty coverage before and it was quick and easy. I used them for the siding, windows, gutters, and soffits on my house. Their claim of not using subcontractors is a little misleading though because they do use other businesses to do the work, they just have an exclusive deal with them.
For example, if you hire Power to do your siding you may see a crew show up from "Bob's Siding and Roofing" or some other business name. This company may have a contract to only take work from Power but they aren't really employees of theirs. Also, brace yourself for the longest sales pitch of your life. They will spend hours with you to make the sale and will pressure you to sign right then and there by offering deals that are only good until they leave. Make them the last estimate you get and know what you're willing to spend before they start the pitch.

The only thing is when I paid them at the end of the job, they stuck it on the roof. When the realtors came over, I gave them a check for the windows, but they ended up sticking on me on the roof. We're still in the middle of it and I called them and they said they were gonna take care of it and the thing didn't get taken care of. I heard about Power Home Remodeling through friends and bought windows from them. They seemed to have a good product and reasonable prices. Plus I like the guarantee. But the original salesman left out two of my windows and now it’s causing me a lot more money. He put out 10 windows on the estimate which is the correct thing. But when the guy came out for the quality control of the two windows I had put in, he said not all of them were included.
I haven’t figured out yet but my price jumped up to $5,000 so I’m not real happy about that but I have no choice because they started the project and now I can’t have different windows in my house. They need to train their salesman a little bit better. It’s a very inconvenient. They have to do an estimate and make sure they do it right. But I like the product and the installation crew was wonderful. They came alright but just be careful, make sure everything is correct on there and make them itemized every single thing.

We made an appointment and they showed me the windows that they have and its difference. Then they took the measurements, made other appointments with the installation guys and they took the measurements again. After four weeks, they sent the windows and the products. I was happy with the first group that they sent as they were good. However, they sent a different group the second time, and I wasn't happy with them. They stop working and talked a lot. It took them too long to do the job. Other than that, I like the windows and they look like they're of good quality.

Many door-to-door salesman have good products that they will do anything to sell to you at outrageous prices. It's an interesting concept. Our salesman boasted about how Wal*Mart and Costco wanted their product to sell directly -- but that PHR wouldn't dream of doing it w/o their own talented field techs and amazing service. What this really translates into is the fact that they do have a good product -- they just have very inflated prices and salesmen who are out selling at variable prices. Perhaps PHR has found an industry that has been stagnant and figured out how to jazz it up. They could use a bit of competition.
If there's anything I would advise is that no matter what the salesman tells you, the first price is not the final price. The second price is not the final price -- and I'm not sure if they'll go lower after the third price. Send em packing and they'll send more people to call you and offer other deals. It's the classic salesperson BS. If you have one over, be sure you've already made dinner plans that will accommodate (They will stay 6 hours and wear you down - it's door-to-door 101). They'll start off with a 'today's price' deal that's good for 24 hours. If you resist, they'll offer you a deal if you do them a favor and do a survey (which is funny -- just give them more ways to manipulate you), and then after that, if you agree to have before/after pictures posted on their site, they'll reduce even more. Say no again and they follow up even though the sales guy said it doesn't work that way.
When they tell you stories about why they joined PHR, they are usually human interest stories and they aren't true either. My sales guy told one story at the beginning and then contradicted it multiple times towards the end. Do I want their windows in my home? Sure. Absolutely. I'd love them. But I don't need them and a second opinion on my home debunked all of their black mold nonsense. If your windows have crud between the double panes, it's because they are windows. You could just replace them with other windows, not a big deal. The windows product is a good one. No matter what they tell you, it's not the only one. One last thing that I thought was funny ... I'm in Texas and all of their marketing material was based on the East Coast market. C'mon people!

The guy from Power Home Remodeling Group that came and did the presentation did a very thorough job and I liked how he interacted with us. When we came to do the estimate, he went over everything and he spent six hours at our house going over all the details and why their company is better than other remodeling companies. We got our windows done by Power. They measured the size of the windows, but the windows we purchased aren't customized. We could get the triple pane glass which breaks into little pieces instead of shattering.
The installers were very professional, came on time, and finished earlier than when they said they were going to. They tried to keep the mess to a minimum and cleaned up behind them. They did a very good job and the quality of the work was great. I like that the sliding windows can slide open on both sides and are not just restricted to one side. The first installation crew seemed to be new to this kind of work. They were slow and their installation work substandard. To Power's credit, they noted the issues immediately and worked to correct them quickly. After the crew was changed and a new lead installer added, the installation moved along well. They repaired or when needed replaced materials in the areas that had been installed by the 1st crew. The young man that lead this effort was great to work with - I don't remember his name but he was great. Whoever reads this needs to find him and thank him. His attitude and work ethics were so impressive that we actually purchased gutters from Power.
