One company came with a large notebook and wouldn’t give us a quote until he had gone through the notebook. The quote was based on an aerial view of the house. The other company got on the roof and gave us a good quote.

I called Doug's Appliance in Thornton and was satisfied with the repair of my GE front loader Washer. Doug was available the same afternoon and called ahead to let me know when he was on route. He is also courteous, experienced and knowledgeable.

I had a good experience with Porch. Our installer showed up a bit late but beside that the job was done well and he tidied up before leaving. I don’t have more to add. I would recommend the service and would use them again.

The service was awful. They used my bathroom 2 times and stayed in there over 5 minutes each time. it sounded like he had the runs. I had to wipe down the toilet after he left. They took 2 long breaks over 15 minutes each and took a long lunch on my patio. Then they over charged me because they said the job took longer than expected. The worker who did the job told me that he did not like working outside. So I guess I had to pay the price, they originally told me that it was going to be around $370 but he charged me over $700. They were putting together a Gazebo from Overstock and ripped me off.

I was very impressed from the initial phone conversation to end of job. Excellent job. Free My Timber installer was on time, did an exceptional job, finished on time and cleaned up after himself. I would recommend this company for any floor work.

I used this service for a contractor for a bathroom remodel. Two Guys. The demolition went well. Then the issues began. Long story but I am now without use of the shower installed by contractor. Drain is leaking into the dining room ceiling below. Installation of everything with sticky silicone caulk all over everything. This is non-paintable caulk. Absolute nightmare. Contractor has left the job. No contact after many texts. Out money for the products I supplied and other things purchased along the way. With no usable bathroom. VERY POOR WORKMANSHIP AND CRAFTMANSHIP. Total disregard for the property.

Right on time. Did great work. Highly recommend. Will have again when needed. Difficult to find good, honest people who are proud of their work, but this gentleman was polite, honest and hard working. He took our rugs to clean as well.

I contacted Porch.com for some work in my home. I needed five ceiling fans installed in my home. I have the old ones out, the new ones put together, and they were charging me 59.99 for each one. Each should take less than fifteen minutes. I am a retired contractor that knows. I agreed to allow them to install. The install was arranged for three days later. I cleared the calendar, as we have daytime sleepers here. I pulled all the necessary items from the garage, set them exactly where they are to be installed - basically ready to go. They called this morning and said that they had overbooked, and the earliest they could do it was on the following Saturday. I have an inspection pending on this. I would definitely NOT USE THIS COMPANY, EVER!! I will call an electrician or something easy like Lowe's Contracting Service. I would NEVER SEND A FRIEND, NOR AN ASSOCIATE to Porch.com. It would be a Pointless Endeavor.

The Porch representative, Mr. Jamel **, was very professional and assembled the TV stand with precision! He contacted me beforehand to let me know of his pending arrival. He explained how the shelves on the TV stand can be adjusted. Altogether, I am very satisfied by my experience with Mr. ** and Porch Home Services.

Quickly lined up with several choices of repair companies in my area: 3 to choose from: went with company that I also verified through Angie’s list. Repairs scheduled for 2 days later, completed within a few hours with clear communication with company technician and repair crew on site. Pictures before and after repairs completed. Great service overall.

I scheduled service w porch to have someone come out to assemble a tv stand. I informed them I needed someone out before 11am because I had to work, my appointment was for 9am, at 9:18 I text the tech and he stated that he would be there shortly, by 10:22 he still had not shown up nor did he text, I text and he says he is stuck on a job in Westchester and would be to me by 12 noon, I could only conclude that he doubled booked! He finally arrives at 1pm!

The installation of my microwave was done in record speed and accuracy. The installers (2) were professional, neat and fast. I would definitely recommend this team to do any installation. I will buy appliances from Home Depot in the future.

I've often wondered how these internet companies work in scheduling independent providers to come to your home and do reliable work. Thought it was going to work out - scheduled a simple microwave installation three days go and got a call tonight saying "they are now unable to fulfill our order as priced and scheduled for tomorrow". Now we get to start over again and find our own contractor. Will never use Porch again and probably not another such service. I would recommend doing your own research and scheduling directly with the contractor.

We need a ceiling fan installed, so I shopped around and found that Porch had the cheapest quote. So we scheduled a handyman to come out. On the day of our CONFIRMED appointment, our handyman didn't show up. No call, no text, no email, no communication from Porch, nothing! My morning plans are gone, and my fan is still in the box. I called Porch and tried to reschedule (with a different handyman). They rescheduled me for 9:00am today. At 9:30, after no calls, texts, communication AGAIN, I had to call Porch, AGAIN. This time, they put me on hold for 5 minutes, then hung up on me. Called 2 more times, same thing! Called a 4th time and it went to voicemail!?!? How can a nationwide company have such terrible customer service?
When I finally got in touch with Porch, they heard my case, and went to "investigate" the problem. They called me back an hour later saying they spoke with my handyman and he was "on his way". Ugh! I guess I'll cancel my lunch plans today. Then, 10 minutes later, the handyman calls me and says HE CAN'T COME! He just got a text telling him to come, but his schedule is booked today! But didn't Porch just speak with him and confirmed that he's on his way? Nope, they just sent him a text and didn't wait for a response before calling me.
This feels like such a scam, but I haven't spent any money, so how could it be? I can't speak to the quality of the work, because my ceiling fan is STILL IN THE BOX! Handyman no-showing is unprofessional, sending my calls to voicemail is sloppy, but lying to me about the handyman being on his way... that's shameful. No, I will not be scheduling a 3rd appointment with Porch.

Contractor showed up on time. Did a great job at a fair price. Had the best price out of three estimates. Other contractors failed to show up as promised. Did the repairs in a week's time. Job looked great when finished. Would recommend them and would use them again for repairs.

Tile & Grout repair in bath shower Passaic Park NJ. I worked with JCB unlimited Jahaad **, he did an excellent job, at a great price, I highly recommend him. He fixed the tile and repaired the shower tub in about 1 hr. When he ran into a problem, he fixed it without extra cost. A man at his word. Hard to find them like this. Great job!

Office chair assembly. Adjustable chair seat is too low, way too low. The maximum seat height is the same as a regular chair (approx. 18"). You can only lower the seat down, say to 15". I have to use my 'puffy pillows' to get the right seat height. Not happy, not happy.

I never received a single response to my inquiry. Nobody ever contacted me to offer to trim the trees. I had to find a tree trimmer elsewhere. Porch was useless and only set me back two days waiting for a response that never came.

In this case, it's possible there are limited pros in your area qualified to do this project. We hope you'll give us another try for a different project in the future.

After I used the carpet cleaner, which I liked, I got 3 more contacts from you regarding recommendations, even though I told each Porch person the work was completed. Now I'm getting contacts from potential businesses to do the same work. Don't you talk to each other? Frankly, it's getting annoying.

Kyle with Harmony Construction contacted me and came out and looked at my 2 bathrooms and give a quote. I thought it was great and told him to go ahead. He gave me a suggestion about getting a taller faucet. I love them. The tall toilets are great. Thank you I will use you again.

Lola Concrete did an excellent job rebuilding a mailbox stand that was hit by a car and destroyed. They had the job done in 2 days. Very pleased with their work. They had to go to a number of brick yards to find the right color of brick to match the other stands in the subdivision.

Horrible!!! Do not waste your time! I was promised last week that someone will show up today to install my TV - instead I received a text last night to let me know that porch does not have anyone available... SERIOUSLY.. then why the heck schedule it??!! I planned my whole week around that appointment. Find someone local instead!

Chandelier and hunter fan installation. It was done timely and installed excellently. We are very pleased with the work. It took one hour longer than first described to us, but it was still reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Porch to people who are thinking about installations as we were.

Once appointment was set, Jay was prompt, prepared, friendly and did an excellent professional job. In addition, on the spot for an additional charge he disassembled my old treadmill so I could get it out the door.

I made an appointment on Porch.com for someone to come and look at my laundry room where I need a dryer vent installed. I provided a detailed explanation with measurements. The website lets you set up a time. I selected the first available which was 2 days after I made the appt. The confirmation stated that someone would call to confirm before the appt. That call never came. The time of the appointment came and went and no one showed and no one called. I sent a follow-up e-mail to Porch with a full description and a copy-and-paste from their website showing the appointment. The response must have been auto-generated since it did not reflect the existing case at all. I responded but got no answer. I will never try again to do business with this company.

Within a few hours my drain problem was cleared and we are back in business. The plumber was courteous, knowledgeable, clarified all charges up front, and did not try to upsell us. What more can I say? I'll be back with more projects.

Yard maintenance. One of your companies came to my house and gave me a quote. I accepted the quote and work was to start the following Tuesday. No one showed up. I text the owner who apologize and said he would be here on Wednesday and then every Tuesday. No one showed up on Wednesday. I told the vendor to cancel as he was not reliable

I was trying to schedule service to install a pergola at my home. The representative was very nice until he told me the price which he quoted as being as much as what I paid for the item. When I told him I couldn't afford that, he hung up on me. Very rude.

I was given a quote on having a pool taken down and reinstalled. I was called and told it was canceled due to not explaining what I needed done correctly. I gave full details and was told I didn't and my order was canceled. He also state he would reach out to 3 contractor would would get in touch with me and that didn't happen. I was put in contact with a lawn care (& handyman) provider. We had a good phone conversation, but then I was able to find a man in my neighborhood to mow my lawns. I re-contacted the provider you folks found for me - cancelled our previously scheduled visit - and he, again, was very easy to talk to and understood my situation. I have kept his contact information in case I need it in the future. I appreciated knowing about him.

I signed up to be a contractor. I have used lead generating platforms before and had some good luck. Immediately I received bad leads that did not pay for the leads that I received. I gave it a year and still no luck. This doesn’t bother me, maybe the leads were not a good for my company. Where things seem a little scammy is when I went to cancel my account. They play games, their “cancellation department” seems to never be available. I tried calling several times at different times of the day and still the “cancellation department” is not available. They just kept charging my credit card and giving me the run around. I have disputed the charges and feel confident that they will be removed, but still what company does this?!? I would not recommend. I dug into the company and they laid off half of their employees last year... not a good sign. Spend your money elsewhere...

I was having trouble finding interior house painter for a specific window of time in July. Used Porch.com for the first time and had 3 vendors identified within 3 hours. Had on site estimates from all 3 two days later. Chose one and was under contract within 5 days of using porch.com. Will definitely refer and use again!

First of all the guy showed up Precisely on time! I like that. Secondly, he did an awesome job! He was understanding of my predicament and why I hired him (that is, because of a dispute with a neighbor on one side of my home). He went about the work professionally and without anything that the neighbor could legitimately complain about and say was done wrong. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend Nu Clean for pressure washing.

I booked an appointment with them to get my AC unit installed. I had to take some time off from my work to be at home for the appointment. Then, nobody showed up. I called after 15 minutes to know that they decided unilaterally to cancel the appointment!! Very disrespectful to the customer time.

After a few emails and phone conversation with PORCH, two men arrived (O.C. (sp?) and Dustin) at the appointed time, did a great job of assembling my elliptical trainer, were very pleasant, and left absolutely no mess! Very happy with the results!!

This company promises they have the best people and will make everything right and the customer happy. They promise 24 hour notification prior to job then 1 hour before job. None of that happened. Every time I called the main number I spoke with a different person. The manager for my area in charge of the contractors for my area did not call 24 hours prior so I did and had to speak with main number staff instead who said the contractor accepted the job and will call 1 hour prior to job. No one called so about 30 minutes after job was to begin I again called the main number who said they would have the manager call me.
15 minutes later the contractor called and said he had a last minute personal emergency so I asked him to have his manager call me. Another 10 minutes go by so I called the main number and then the manger finally called! He said he was sorry but there is nothing he could do but would reschedule. After waiting so long for that appointment and then receiving no communication as promised I rejected that suggestion. I can’t help but think I would have been waiting all day for the contractor to show up because no one would have called me!

Located our septic tank and repaired pipe to tank. Would definitely recommend them and we have to our neighbors on Trillium Trail in Franklin, NC. They were always on site on time and also showed up. They were the first to be able to find our septic tank.

Ever since I notified Porch that I was unsubscribing for their program, I have received nothing but bad leads. Not one customer has responded to my calls or texts. Tried to get credits for them but Porch says they don't qualify. I seriously believe that Porch is just trying to drain my funds in my account and not provide me with any good leads because I am not going to utilize their program anymore. So until my notice to unsubscribe, Porch was great. Now they just want to take my money. Beware when you unsubscribe. Be prepared to just give them your money.

Would give negative 5 stars if possible. Terrible customer service and policy. Operator made mistake of under quoting and charging me even though I reminded them multiple times on my unit size and weight. Installer texted and called on holiday until 7pm asking me to change appointment time and complaining about Porch office overbooking and not charging enough money AND promised to still show up and do installation the next day. So I took a full day off to accommodate but they no show. Office first insisted their Install department is at fault then lied about they don't service my area and therefore cancelling my order and give me a refund -- after wasting 2 weeks of my time and a work day losing income! This business has no ethic and irresponsible and have customer suffer from their mistakes.

Heat pump was making a loud whining sound. Tried calling company that installed it and their phone is no longer in-service. Contacted Porch, I had a reply within an hour and Nathan from Immaculate Heating and Air was at my house within 3 hours. Seems the blower motor is on its last leg, Nathan inquired about the purchase, I found my warranty papers and luckily it's still under warranty!!! He is coming Friday to replace it. Professional, personable and I couldn't be happier!!!

The subcontractor broke my BRAND NEW glass top stove. I hired Porch Services thru a HomeAdvisor request for a handyman. Porch Services was matched to my request. Apparently Porch subcontracts our the job. BLUF, the damn guy put his knee thru my range!

I have received mixed feedback from Porch.com reps regarding my basement door project. I want to replace my existing 3 fold door (approx. width 90") with a sliding door of the same dimensions. The 1st rep told me that they can have a porch.com contractor do the job because there will be no change to the actual door opening. He informed me that if I wanted to extend or reduce the door opening then they would have had to connect me with a 3rd party contractor, which he said was not the case with my project. I was happy to know that there will be a transparent hourly rate and I can buy the door myself, thereby saving money.
However, after I signed up in Porch.com, I spoke to a different rep who gave me a completely different picture. He told me that because I will be replacing the existing 3 fold door with a different type of door (sliding door) I will need to hire a 3rd party contractor. I wanted to hire a Porch.com contractor and not the 3rd party contractor for a reason, I wanted more transparency. Unfortunately, it looks like this is not going to work with Porch.com. Also, as friendly and informative the 1st rep was, the 2nd rep was just the opposite. He did not sound like he wanted to get my business and he did not care. Bad customer service!!!

The scheduler was great as was the installer. No problems. As a suggestion, please update both your system and Walmart's system to highlight that the TV is not delivered by the installer but separately from third party. I got confused!

I’m happy that there is such a service. There seems to be a hiccup in communication between the company and their field representatives. That lead to a lot of unpleasantness. My installer did a great job but getting to that point wasn’t the best.

This was a seamless project from the moment I called for a handyman. Handyman understood what I needed and made suggestions when I was in doubt. He knew his stuff and kept me in the loop while the project was being completed. I will be calling again for my next project!

I purchased a 65 inch TV from Wal-mart that I needed mounted on my wall. Porch did a good job of following up on the job before and after the job was completed. The Tech Tarus ** did a very good job of installing my TV on the wall and he arrived 10 minutes early.

On April 24th I posted a request for a general contractor that could build a screened in covered porch and a side deck for my new home on Porch.com. On April 25th I was contacted by a contractor named Aly ** who is the owner of a company called Construction Near Me. He told me he was referred to me through Porch and could have his lead carpenter meet me at my property to give me an estimate of what the job would cost. That afternoon I met with Timothy ** at my property and was told that they could do the job for $9,850. After speaking with Aly on the phone and agreeing to the price, I met with him at the permit office so we could apply for the building permit and sign his contract to do the work. He requested that I pay him 60% down to cover material cost so I wrote him a check for $5,910. He told me he would start on the job immediately and would have it finished within 4 to 5 days.
More than a week later and work still had not started on the porch but I had made a change to the size of the side deck and increased it from a 4 x 6 to a 8 x 30. Aly had his lead carpenter Tim meet me back out at the property on May 3rd to get another check from me to cover the cost of the material for the larger deck size. They told me the cost of the larger deck with labor would be a total of $3,200 and they had me sign another contract and requested that I pay that amount in full. This is where everything went downhill.
Now that this company had $9,110 of my money they started giving me every excuse as to why they couldn't start work on my property. Every time I spoke with this company they told me they had ordered my material and it was delivered to the property but nothing was ever delivered. This company even tried to get me to pay them in full because they said one of their vehicles broke down and they needed the money to fix it before they could start working. On May 7th the permit office told me that the building permit was ready to be picked up so I let them know they could go by and get it and they did but continued to tell me that they still didn't have the permit just start building which was a lie. The contract that I signed on April 25th said that they would have this job completed by May 21st.
After a total of 20 days had passed and no work was done I told the contractor that I would contact the Sheriff's Department and report them for theft by deception if they did not do the job they were hired to do. The contractor sent a crew out late at night and threw together what was supposed to be the frame to my porch but it wasn't built to code. Instead of building the porch on concrete Footers they buried the structural post 16 in into the ground with no concrete nor did they pour Footers. The structure is larger than a 12 x 12 and in the state of Georgia it is required that anything larger than that there must be joist hangers used to support the weight of the structure on the floor joist.
Also the structure was not attached to the home and was free-standing without additional support added which also are required by code. When I address this problem with the contractor he told me he was a professional and knew what he was doing and for me to not tell him how to do his job. I told him that if he couldn't build the structure to code then he would need to stop what he was doing before the entire structure would have to be torn down and done correctly. The contractor never completed the job nor did he try to make anything right. He just never came back. I contacted the local sheriff's department and they contacted him and informed him that he would be charged with theft by deception if he did not return my money. I am still waiting for my refund.
When I contacted Porch about this problem they had me put together all of the contract information, checks that I wrote, and any conversations that I had had with the contractor. They told me they would help me resolve this problem and would offer to give me back $1,000 of my money to help with legal fees against this contractor. After I worked hard to put all of this information together for them and emailed it to them I received an email back from them just a few minutes later that said that my problem didn't fit the porch guarantee criteria and they would not be refunding me any money.
On top of all of this I did a criminal background check on the owner of Construction Near Me and found out that he had been arrested 3 years in a row for felony charges including felony bad checks, felony theft by taking, and felony theft by deception. Porch said that they do a thorough background check on these contractors but apparently they don't. They send people out to your house that obviously have no idea how to build anything and then when they take your money and don't do the work they don't stand behind their guarantee. I would never use either one of these companies ever again.

No show for service in St. Louis Missouri. I purchased this as an extra service from Walmart. The tv installer did not show as promised twice. The project manager never delivered. One of the times only half a crew arrived, and the guy didn't seem professional. He was complaining that he never got paid for his work. Had to cancel service and after many calls and broken promises I had to find another company to install my tv. Very disappointing.

New door was installed properly, however, the storm door is crooked and does not align properly. Costs were extensive. The handyman charged 59.00 to come and measure for door. He ordered the door for 219.00, then took three days to install which resulted in $550.00 in labor charges!

I was extremely apprehensive about utilizing Porch services after paying a $99 fee through Walmart to have the TV stand that I purchased assembled. I found out after placing the order that the $99 was just an estimate and not a fixed quote. I spent several times over the phone and via text trying to figure out exactly how much it would cost me before scheduling an appointment. Since I only paid $149 for the stand, I did not want to pay more money getting the stand assembled than it was worth to begin with. Finally, I decided to bite the bullet and eat the cost but after speaking with someone at Porch, I was told additional charges are only added if the item requires to people to assemble and/or is excessively large.
In addition, when I found out that Porch is essentially a handy man service, I signed up for them to mount a curtain rod for me, as well for an additional fee. I am extremely happy with Alvin's work and the timing was perfect! My TV stand looks lovely in the living room and the curtain rod that was mounted hangs up the curtains that I have covering my front door to provide some level of privacy. I was so happy that I was not charged any additional money for the assembly, even though it took a little over 2 hours to complete. I will definitely be utilizing their services in the future!

Terrible experience. I was trying to screen in my porch. When I first talked to someone they gave me a list of supplies to pick up and I knew what they were telling me was wrong so I asked the handyman to come out and look at my porch and let me know what I needed. He charged me $15 for the visit. He pushed this appointment 24 hrs and then showed up about 90 minutes late. Porch then first scheduled me for a date to do the project which the handyman said he was unable to do so we pushed it 6 days later. Then 2 days before the appointment Porch asks if I can move my appointment to which I told them no. They said they would find someone else to do the job.
Instead of finding someone else to do the job they send me a message saying that my project was not in their scope and they are unable to do it. Absolute joke of a business. You’re telling me a company named “Porch” can’t screen in a porch? If you can’t do it why did your so called “handyman” say he could do it? Why would you have me go buy about $500 worth of supplies if you can’t do it? Do not ever use this company. Customer service was incompetent and useless. “Handymen” can’t hold an appointment and after they cancel on you a few times they’ll just cancel the whole project. They said they would give my info to a contractor and they would get in touch with me within 24 hours...well, it’s been about 100 hours and still no contact.

Would NOT recommend PORCH to anyone. I had them install a above ground pool. The install named Jorge put the pool up. Never got in the pool to straighten out the bottom. He said, "Just add water and it will work itself out". Well that did not happen so I called his supervisor Victor ** and he assured me he would take care of getting it fixed. So a week later and many phone calls he sent Jorge back out, mind you Jorge said leave about 1' of water in the pool so I did so when he got here this morning. He said, "Oh it needs more water drained and I don't have time to wait here all day for the pool to drain, you need to get someone else to fix it because what little money I make on the installation is not enough". I offered to go get and pay for a sump pump but all he had were excuses. My pool is still not fixed now I will have to find some reputable company to come finish what they started. I am not Happ

I was impressed at how quickly porch.com reached out with an email after my purchase. That is where the service stopped. I had two or three scheduled appointments cancelled and pushed a week out. We ordered a pool from Walmart and requested the pool installation and was told to call Porch, at Porch we were told that Porch is a nationwide company and based on our zip code they would do the installation. Three days after purchase of a $1200.00 pool we get a email from Juan soto of Porch telling us to contact Walmart for a refund of installation. We called Juan's office and was told that they do cover our zip code but they don't install pools, if they had told us the truth when we called we would not have ordered the pool. We are both seventy and handicapped.

We decided to install a walk-in soaker bathtub with a low profile door, rather than chance a fall climbing in or out of a traditional bathtub. We began the search for a professional to do the work. Mr. Ken Bast, owner of Bast Home Improvement – General Contractors responded. He visited the job site that afternoon, on time, well groomed and knowledgable.
Ken and his helper arrived on time and decided to rehearse the move of the tub into the bathroom. Using the box it shipped in, they discovered the choke points before they got stuck. The Install went very well, and was completed and turned over to us early. Bast Home Improvements gets a 5 star rating for the fantastic tub install. I purchased two TVs from Walmart and provided the option of installation with the purchase. I gladly agreed to the installation since it is a business office where the TVs are being installed. I was scheduled to install the TVs within the next few days after the purchase which is April 30, 2019. Today, April 26, 2019, I called the telephone number that was provided in the confirmation email to find out the contractors name, company, and where they are located. When speaking with a gentleman about this, he gave me the name of the company but I had to repeatedly ask for the company name. He kept repeating that he cannot give me the contact information. I stated I do not need the contact information yet, I want to know who is going to show at my door to install the TVs.
After several minutes of trying to get the contractor's name, he finally told me. I repeatedly stated that I did not want someone I don't know just showing up claiming to be the installer. I asked for a supervisor and was told after being put on hold that no one was available. I then asked for his corporate number and he stated he did not have the number to corporate. Try for yourself to find a corporate number for Porch.com and Installs Inc, LLC and watch the labyrinth of website redirects. You will find that when you click on Installs inc, LLC you will be redirected to NAL Group which is a logistics company.
So, in haste I tried to locate corporate numbers for Porch.com or Installs, Inc. You guessed it, a labyrinth of websites. After finally tracking down a corporate number from the many redirects, I was able to find a number to NAL Group. After clicking on the contact page, there are three corporate offices listed, one of which is the exact same phone number I called to get the information in the first place. When I called that number, I was never able to speak to someone.
There are three options that are automated, one for finance, one to schedule an installation, and the last for HR. Guess what? I tried all three variations and was unable to speak with a live person. When I called HR and Finance, I received the same voicemail voice asking me to leave a message. Mind you, this is all during their business hours which are 8 am to 4 pm. Every time I called the number I was immediately sent to a musical waiting system and then after a minute or two was automatically transferred to a voicemail.
This left me with the only option of calling Walmart Corporate Customer service. The person (Paul) who answered the phone was only able to help me with two options, initially. First, to either call the business myself or be transferred to Porch.com to discuss the issue. I told Paul do not transfer me to that company because no one will answer them phone. He stated that he could cancel the appointment and refund my money. Of course, that is the option I chose.
Now, to top this off, while typing this I received an email from Porch.com wanting me to rate my experience so far with them and the "...TV Mounting project on Porch". You can imagine what rating I am about to give. So, save yourself time and aggravation and do not do business with, no run away, Porch.com or Installs Inc, LLC. I cannot believe a company like Walmart has not looked into this, and other issues I am sure, to ensure their customers receive the service they deserve after spending money there. Unless, Walmart has become another large retailer that does not value customer service. By the way, I had a co-worker shaking her head in disbelief as she listened to the exchanges.

Got a tv mounted on the wall. Wall is completely damage with holes everywhere. Just got the house built and the wall behind the tv is completely damage because the installer kept missing where to drill the holes. This is going to cost me at least $300 to $400 To fix. Thinking about filing a claim in court. Never really had to deal with anything like this. To top it off the tv is not even safely mounted. Suppose to have 3 screws but the guy only put 2 screws on it.

Initially, David, from Island Builders, was very likable and like family. He did a good job with the upper tree branches, but, when it came to the trunk, he cut it at the bottom and let it fall on my concrete patio, which was destroyed when about a 15 foot tall section was allowed to drop on the patio. It is estimated at about $5000 to repair the damage, which I want Porch to pay because they vouched for Island Builders. Further, when I was cleaning up the yard, I found that a large section on the stump was not removed, it was just covered up with dirt and wood chips. It’s going to cost more money to finish grinding the stump and also create another big mess all over again. David also left a mess of tree debris around my property that took a lot of effort to clean up.
I would like Porch to take responsibility for this shoddy work, because I feel like I got taken advantage of by the person you sent to my house. He didn’t make a contract and didn’t even bring his own ladder or clean up yard tools, instead, he used my stuff and even broke some of it, which I found out after he left. Porch needs to send a representative to my home to assess the damage and unfinished work, so they can make arrangements to have things taken care of and made right. This guy David from Island Builders is ruining people’s lives by ripping them off with his false confidence scam!!

I hired a handyman from the Porch and asked them to assemble 3 items and hang a couple of heavy frames that need drywall drilling. I asked them for 2 people to make sure they send strong guys who could carry Pool table to the 2nd floor. There is no way these guys would have been able to lift the pool table. I am glad I didn't get it assembled from them. Now, the worst part is they quoted me 3 hours of work by 2 people which is 6 man hours to do 3 items. The two handymen they sent took almost 3 hours just to put a bookshelf together and then took another 3 hours to do an outdoor shade. They were really very slow in their task. And they would purposely take their own sweet time to get paid for more hours. Be careful in hiring from Porch. Very bad experience. I am never using Porch again.

When I ordered my TV online from Walmart, I was happy I could order the install together with the TV order. I thought that this makes the process so easy. It all started out good. The Installs company called and scheduled me for Monday, April 8, 12-4. I called later to change that to earlier in the day. They were full for that time slot so I was rescheduled for Tuesday, April 9, 8-12.
On April 8 I was notified by Installs that due to unforeseen circumstances they needed to reschedule me to today, April 11, 8-12. I was fine with that as stuff happens. The next morning, April 9, I called Installs as I was concerned I had not received email confirmation that my appt was rescheduled and I had received email from Walmart that my install order had been canceled. The young lady I spoke with was very customer friendly and assured me I was scheduled.
This morning, April 11, I waited and waited as I was told someone would be here between 8-12 and would call me 30 min. prior to arriving. Finally, right before noon, no one had called or shown up so I called Installs and was told by a very nice young man that there had been a scheduling error and they needed to reschedule me. By this time, I just needed to get my TV installed so told him I would find someone else. I also told him, they really needed to review their system as I felt there was some glitch that needed to be resolved. He agreed and said he would relay this to his supervisor.

They were an hour late and upon their arrival they told me it was an additional $100 charge to their original quote. They got to work quickly and efficiently. The handyman was not given the proper information regarding what he was to do and your office was closed (so he said). He wasted over an hour trying to hook up my Arlo security lights which I had researched the day before and found out the best and only solution was a Youtube video on Arlos website. He was very sweet and meant well but despite my asking him politely and repetitively to watch the video that explains how to do it, he kept wanting to just keep trying on our cell phones and troubleshooting.
It actually ended up messing up my security cameras which are critical. We wasted at least a precious hour and these were the most important lights to get up. We ended up putting up standard spotlights where the Arlo lights will need to go, (so now we will have to take them down when the Arlos are put up), which do not give the ability to control them through my Arlo App, which is very important. You need to come up with a better solution, maybe give him a company phone that you can control somehow.

Dishwasher in rental unit was flooding the floor. Porch took the info and referred it out (they did not provide repair service themselves). Follow up was quick, and a same-day appointment was scheduled. Repairman was punctual and appears to have identified and corrected the problem. Only downside is that the repairman could not provide a receipt for my tax records and I am still trying to get one from Porch. Getting a receipt for the $ I paid should be easier! But overall repair went very well.

Absolutely terrible experience. The website is easy to use and they send a message quickly so initially I thought it would be great. Unfortunately they did a terrible power wash job and then cancelled the staining with 24 hours of the scheduled time. They will not respond to me and they have not scheduled a new time to come out. I got someone on the main line as a new order and they have been dodging me since then.

Employee was supposed to come Saturday March 30, 2019. Called me and said he could not come til Sunday March 31 and "Do you have the paint", I said no. He said go to Lowe's and get a small can of paint, a roller and a pan which I did. He came on Sunday with a small piece of drywall, he screwed it into the ceiling and had gaps on each side which he filled with schimes and then he spackled for 2 hrs and said he would come back Tuesday April 2nd, and sand and paint. Adriano **, I call him an Artist. His work is superb. I have a very expensive house that was a rental and I am now selling. Once the renters left, I found significant water damage to all the cabinets throughout the house. The kitchen was the worst. I had four cabinet restoration businesses come out to asses the damage and quote me on repairs. One would not quote. Two others wanted to charge a large fee to totally strip the cabinets and recolor them. Then Adriano came in. He stated that he would bring back all the cabinets to original color and finish. He spent time examining the wood and its quality and explaining how he would accomplish this task. The amazing part was his price, it was very reasonable and competitive.
His work ethics are great, he showed up on time and finished on time. He was neat, no dust or mess. When he completed the project, he asked me to examine all the cabinets to make sure I was satisfied with his work. He is a real gentleman, friendly and great to talk to. I am highly recommending him and his work. In fact, we have some furniture in our home that we want him took at that needs some restoration work. If you hire him you will be amazed with his finished product, because he is a truly an Artist.

Answered the questions and submitted my request. An automated email said I would get information shortly. I even received a phone call where I further clarified what I was looking for. He told me I would hear from somebody in an hour or two. Got a text message saying they were working on it. Never heard another word that day.
Emailed the CEO - never got a response. Got another text saying they were working on my request. Then a text came through asking if I wanted a list so I could contact the potential contractors on my own. I let them know that I was tired of having my time wasted. The obligatory "I'm very sorry" text was then received. It's easy to say "sorry" as long as you don't have to actually remedy the situation. Don't waste time with these folks. It is more efficient to post in groups on Facebook or Craigslist - got 3 recommendations from those efforts... And the people actually showed up.

I contacted Porch.com because I needed my dishwasher installed. I could tell right from the start that the guy that came out was clueless as to how to install anything. I should have stopped him but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Took him 2 and a half hours to do something that should have taken 45 minutes max. On top of that, the dishwasher was wobbly and so high and close to the counter I couldn’t push the buttons. I texted him to tell him that, he said my floor was uneven, but came out anyway. He pulled the dishwasher back out and broke a piece off my countertop in the process. I was watching quietly, and waited for him to say something about that. When he finished the dishwasher was a little bit lower but still wobbly. He says to me “it’s going to be 30 dollars”.
I was floored that on top of not fixing it right (the second time) and breaking a piece off my countertop, he still had the nerve to charge me a trip charge. I asked him, what about my countertop? He said I could superglue the piece. I am beyond disappointed and very upset at the fact that I paid this guy and my brand new dishwasher is not installed properly. I told him I was not paying him the 30 dollars. He got mad and left. So I’m left with a dishwasher I cannot use until I pay someone else to install it properly. Does someone guarantee these people? Or is this “install at your own risk” kind of deal?? I should have researched first.

I called Porch to schedule service for lawn mowing in January, and my mow was rescheduled twice before being marked as complete. However, it was never completed. I called and emailed several times, and was unable to get this resolved. So I requested my account be cancelled and I hired someone else to mow it. It's been over a month, and now I keep getting called and emails from Porch trying to collect the fee for a discounted $15 mow that never happened. I spoke to a Porch representative on the phone who was incredibly rude to me and told me to "prove it" that the mow never happened and even send him pictures of my long grass (crazy).
I used Porch for over a year before this happened, and I said the proof is that I used the service already; why would I not pay for a mow when I've been using this service for a year already? I just wanted my grass mowed, and it wasn't done, so I hired someone else. The grass doesn't wait. I think it's ridiculous to be told "it's their word against yours," "you can't prove it wasn't mowed," "if you don't give me your credit card over the phone, I'm going to send you to collections." Over $15? Really? That wasn't even earned? WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER! Don't call me a liar. I paid $35 all last year for my lawn to be mowed. $15 is nothing. I would have happily paid $15 for service if it was completed.
I went to the trouble of calling the contractor who was supposed to mow my lawn, and he confirmed the grass was not mowed in February because Porch did not schedule the service with him. I am requesting again for Porch to stop calling me and threatening to send me to collections over a $15 mow that never occurred. When your representative called me and told me "it's your word against theirs (the contractor), and you owe us money," I was completely floored. I should not have been asked to send pictures of my long grass as "proof" it was never cut. It was cut. By someone else. After I hired them when Porch failed to schedule and complete a mow. The contractor has now confirmed with me directly that they informed Porch the mow was not scheduled or completed. Do not attempt collection again.

My home inspection of my future home was very thorough. Erick my inspector walked every square inch of the home and showed me all the problems and repairs needed. His report was 50+ pages with pictures from every angle. His recommendations were spot on. I was able to get a price quote for almost all the repairs mentioned. After the inspection, I was even able to upload my report for a comparative quote to pass on to the current owners for repairs. I'm so glad my best friend recommended this company.

Porch sends "leads" to registered contractors and makes them pay a fee to view them. However, they send the leads to many, many more contractors than their offering states, leaving contractors with angry consumers whom are being flooded with calls. "You are the 5th, 7th, and even 10th contractor whom has called us....." is not an uncommon response from homeowners. As I sit here in Florida this morning looking at incoming emails for my business, there have been four emails from Porch in an hour, for things such as boilers and furnaces. We do not use those devices in this climate! It is just Porch throwing false or useless leads that they can attempt to charge contractors. Homeowners are also getting taken in a similar fashion.

Contractors don't try this lead company!!! 100% of the leads we received were bad leads. Good luck trying to get that refund on them! They say they will call you back, they don’t. They change their policies constantly with no warning. It got to the point where I have to call from a phone that isn’t in their system just to talk to someone. The site is up and down. I used their company because I needed to mount my television and their services were suggested through Walmart (which I will also notify). First, I researched how long it should take to mount a wall. Now I understand that issues happen, but it SHOULD NOT take over 2 hrs to mount a television. I am assuming if a company is providing services, they hire someone who is able to do that service.
Marcos ** was the handyman that was assigned, and though he provided good customer service, it did not seem like he knew what he was doing and needed to go to his car on several occasions to get ANOTHER tool. I am paying by the hour and I originally had no intention to go past 1 hr. It ended up taking over 2 hrs and numerous holes in my wall before the job was completed. And what I found slightly insulting was that he did not believe me when I said the payment went through because he did not know how to operate the portable payment system HE was given.
After my appointment, I sent an email in which Project Coordinator Jake said he will look into matter and ask that I send photos of the work done on my wall. After SEVERAL attempts after sending the photos, I never heard from anyone and NO ONE attempted to solve the issue. This company is unprofessional and please look into other companies that are willing to assist customers to the best of their ability. I've worked in customer service over 8 years, this isn't it.

Victory 1 Painting did a fantastic job in a short period of time. One of the best things is that every day my home was left clean and dust free. I had water damage- a pipe burst, paneling that needed to be completely removed from a room and drywall and baseboards that needed to be installed. Porch has been one of the biggest scam companies I have ever had to deal with. In the beginning I was promised “15 flooring leads a week in my area were going unanswered” and they would be vetted and qualified leads. Well that didn't happen. I have gotten maybe one a month. And most of them were NOT vetted leads AND They automatically charge you for any and all leads and then you have to spend 30 min to get your money back if it's a bunk lead (80% of them where terrible leads/people not even interested in hiring someone).
Not only that but they have terrible support AND they sell their leads to other lead companies! They might only send 3 leads to their members but then they send out leads to other lead companies who send out the lead to all of their contractors. So each contractor is competing for 5-10 other contractors for the same lead that you and only 2 others would have gotten.
Also, my phone number that they assigned me for people to call was all of the sudden calling people as a robo number and I started to get calls to my phone of pissed off people asking why was I calling them at all hours of the night. I had no idea what was going on until I asked them what phone number was calling them and it was their assigned number.
So it comes time to call it quits with them and I call up to get them to cancel my account and give me my money that I had in the account back, 350$. 2 phone calls and “someone will call you back” (to try and sell you more crap service). Oh, they don't do refunds. Well it's not a refund. It's money I have in the account so you can send me leads automatically. "Well we don't refund that. Either it's against our policy, but I will see what I can do” week goes by and no phone call so I call back, another long drawn out conversation about how “it's not our policy to give money back even though we happily took it”. CONTRACTORS, Do not use this service. It's a huge scam and it's all lies. They will send the lead to as many contractors in the area as they can. Check out online reviews of this company before you sign up to see for yourself.

We needed a professional to re-pipe our home. We were recommended to a professional off of Porch who gave us a very low quote, and we used that quote to negotiate the closing costs on our home. Once we bought the home, it became clear this professional did not seem capable of re-piping a home. We asked if he was licensed or had references. He responded that he was too busy to take our job and overqualified. We ended up giving him a chance to do another very small project, which he ended up messing up and we'll have to do over. I kept giving him a chance because he came referred from Porch, however he is unlicensed and not qualified. Who are you guys finding to do work? This is a scam.

Our Construction business was introduced to Porch through an associate at Lowe’s. It was good at first but went downhill very quickly. We were constantly having to request refunds because the “leads” they sent to us were bad. (A lot of the time the person had no idea what we were talking about when we called them to inquire about their “project.”)
Trying to actually get the refund was a nightmare most of the time. Sometimes I would have to call from a number that was not registered with them just to try to get the refunds. Then, randomly, they would say that they “recently changed their refund policy” and that they had sent out emails about this. We never once received an email notifying us of any policy refund policy changes! We had canceled a couple of times but, unfortunately, they convinced us to stay. Now we are at the point that we just want OUR hundreds of dollars refunded to our bank and they are refusing to do so!! We have recently reached out to Lowe’s corporate only to be told they no longer are affiliated with Porch.com (wonder why?). This is something no one notified us of prior! CONTRACTORS BEWARE!

They offered suggestions where we weren't sure what to do. They left the area clean and neat each night and then at completion, left us with a beautiful staircase and a finished look.

In the past 3 weeks, we have had at least 4 false leads. 2 we called and the person said they had never heard of Porch and therefore, have never posted on Porch. The other 2 were ones, that the person said they had posted something a few years ago, but the wording was not their wording. Their "false" post, also reposted and when I asked about the re-post they said they did not do the repost or the one we say earlier. When we try to get a refund for the job - since you have to pay for the lead upfront, it denies you automatically. Then you have to file a complaint with them and even then they have a ridiculous generic excuse that they have built into the price and problems. This isn't a problem it is is a false lead - fraud. We have lost at least $200+ dollars to them/month. Stick with Thumbtack or direct mailing - your odds of getting a legitimate lead with less money has better odds.

We feel we have the industry’s best policy for addressing invalid leads. For example, anything with bad contact information or if the customer says they submitted their request weeks prior to it being posted on Porch, that is eligible for a credit. If you reach out to support and someone can go through your account to make sure you received proper credit for any invalid leads you received.

When you take on a service like this the sales team will tell you that you have a 70% chance of turning a lead into actual work. But here is the truth that I have experienced. First understand that I sold over 350 worth of work last year. You need to understand that I am not just some guy that can't make a sale. I wrote down everything with Porch. The leads I bought and chased through their service. I wanted to give them time to show me that the lead service would work.
So this time frame extends from July through Jan. In that time I tried several different ave. with them. I tried what they suggested with I give them $400 to work with and they just throw leads at me. Every lead that was in my chosen field. So we started with just roofing to test this. Very few leads came through. Not their fault that was just a geographic problem. So I made the criteria broader by adding drywall, painting, flooring, kitchens, etc (I don't remember exactly what we added, but you get the point). After a time that was not working out. So I pulled back to a pay as you go at $200 a month with them giving me "warm" leads. Phone transfers and such. After that I have pulled back to just Pay as you go.
Now let's get down to the numbers! Over the time frame mentioned I bought 74 individual leads, that costed me approx. $1,600.00. Of those leads as of right this minute only two of them became actual jobs. The two jobs where about $20,000 of my gross revenue. Now Porch would argue that I should still be in the black from 20k worth of work. But what is really going on? Porch leads are NOT actual leads. If you buy a lead and a person answers the phone and says they are just shopping for a price, Porch considers that to be a potential future job. You will not get your money back.
If someone sets a meeting and then calls you back because they changed their mind for whatever reason (wife). That is considered a viable lead that you should have tried harder to sell, you will not get your money back. Some of the leads are just straight no answer at all. If you go through their system to make your contacts, like they ask. You should try 4 times to make contact, 2 calls, 2 text. If you can't get through to anyone then the system says it will give you an automatic refund in 7 days. They can hold on to hundreds of dollars for a week. Money that you can no longer use for anything else and then after the week is up you end up having to call and ask for your money. Unfortunately these people have deep pockets and have spent marketing dollars to put themselves in front of homeowners and as a contractor this is where people look for reviews.
Homeowners beware! By using this service you by your actions are driving up the cost of the work. You must realize that every contractor has to pay for your information between $12 to $60. A contractor has to find a way to absorb these cost, and the only way to do that is to spread it out among the customers by charging more money. If you are a contractor take your money and invest it in some smart marketing. You will get better longer lasting results. If you decide to try it just remember what you read and be sure to leave a review warning the next guy.

Both times I’ve used Porch for my home improvement needs, the team was able to connect me with an appropriate person/ business to meet my needs quickly and efficiently. The level of customer service that I’ve received from these businesses has been nothing short of amazing! If you need something done around your house, but don’t know where to start looking, I would suggest Porch! They’re great!

On 1/18/19 I confirmed AND PAID for installation of a dining set on Wednesday 1/23/19; the furniture was to be delivered on 1/21. When it didn’t arrive and the freight company advised of a two day delay I contacted the phone number provided in my confirmation for this installation and the first time slot available was Friday 1/25 so it was rescheduled for Friday. Wednesday afternoon sometime around 3 pm I got a call from “Bobby” saying he was on the way. I told him that morning’s appointment had be reset for Friday. He appeared very anxious to do the work so we agreed on Thursday afternoon. He later advised via text “they already have me booked up for tomorrow. But we are set up for 2 to 5 on Friday.
We adapted and that time was actually better than the originally scheduled and revised time slot of 8-12 on Friday. Friday at 2:18 I receive a text, “Sorry I will have to move your appointment until tomorrow if that’s ok? I stuck on this big camera job… But I can definitely come by on tomorrow same time”. I responded, "1 pm would actually be better" and he said “I may can make it around one.” I told him one was fine and he responded “Ok, will do!” So, Saturday, 1:36 with no contact I texted him asking about schedule and was told, “I’m stuck in Panama (I assume City) right now" as Panama is over 1,000 miles away.
He claimed the customer was late and stated, “I really do apologize oh, it looks like I'll probably won't be down here until about an hour or so. If the time doesn't work for you, I can always come out tomorrow which is my off day, but I'm willing to go ahead and get you guys taken care of.” I responded OK and we agreed on tomorrow morning (Sunday 1/27/19); he said, “Ok I can be there around 10” and I responded “Please. No later. Thanks” and he said “Will do”. Well at 10:50 this morning the lady meeting Bobby stated, “Still haven’t heard and just called, no answer. So I texted him, “Shirley is waiting” and here it is now 2:51 pm and still no response.
At 1:40 I called the number on my confirmation and was told by Savannah, she couldn’t reach him on the phone and had sent an email and someone would be in touch when they knew something. I asked for a supervisor, manager, someone, anyone who could speak for the company and give me reliable information; I got nothing. Here I sit with four boxes of materials to be assembled, a process I paid for NINE days ago; I am not even certain it is legal to charge for a service prior to performing the service, but I didn’t argue. Guess I should have. I need ANSWERS!

If you are a contractor and get a call from Porch.com, hang up immediately. These guys are running a Ponzi scheme. Have you buy lead credits and then the leads are 100 percent FAKE. But, you cannot get your money back. They will refund it to your Porch account to buy another FAKE lead. It takes up to four weeks to get your lead credits returned to your Porch account, so you buy more leads while they process the first lead for credit. What a SCAM.

I received a couple of calls from gutter cleaners and chose A Touch of Glass and scheduled an appt to meet them at my mother in laws house to clean her gutters. I forgot to meet them at the scheduled time and when I called later to apologize and reschedule they told me that they cleaned them anyway. I was very grateful for that and so happy they went ahead and did the work without me being there.

Well, my inexperience dealing with a company hosting my information without my permission is zero as is bad reviews. The rep failed to mention all I needed to do was call some customers and add more reviews. The actual information on my company is way off and I wonder where they get it and how they can categorize my skills seeing as I was never asked. I'm marking this resolved due to way too much time and frustration spent on a malicious review. I have no desire to speak to this company after today.

I hate to post negative information because I know they hurt business and it my issue with Porch.com. Out of 438 customers I have received 1 bad review. It's hosted on Porch which I have contacted for years to address said review. I reported it, called, emailed etc. It wasn't affecting business until a Google rep and I went over the sharp decline in business since Sept of last year. That was yesterday. I called in and was informed if I signed on with a payment of 450.00 the review would be "hidden". I talked to my partner about this and he brought up the ethical issue that creates and I hadn't considered that. I'm no computer genius but now after only 24 hrs of me devoting real effort I have identified this review as being the most likely cause of 1100 views on my new website per month with no calls.
So I called in this morning just to see if I could expedite the process only to be informed that the prior statements made to me were a mistake, after I had cleared to go ahead with the plan. I wish I would have done my due diligence with Porch as I did with the client that gave the bad review. Despite his physical threats and all kinds of issues where I could and should have walked the job I made it to the last day and was fired. Porch does no vetting of reviews as far as I can tell, the job was not done through Porch, there's really no evidence I even did it but I'm going to claim it and follow through. In my opinion, hiding a review if I paid to join which is what I was told then flipping to wait to investigate said review...hurt me even more and seems very irresponsible of this site.
Hosting bad unverified reviews should be a criminal act in my eyes. My audit points towards poor and unethical business practices on Porch's behalf. No other site would let that happen or would at the very least followed through with an email. I've had 2 after more than several attempts to talk to someone up there. It took me trying to get an account to get the story and even then they all seemed to skirt the truth. This has cost me personally 10s of thousands of dollars and after saying they would do business with me then changing up. Only confirms either straight lies or very slack review hosting.

Made an appointment a week in advance for a Saturday at 10 AM. Porch called a couple days before and advised they can’t get a contractor for that date. Rescheduled for the following Tuesday at 10 AM. Received a call from the contractor on the Sunday before verifying the appointment and what was needed. On the Tuesday at 7:30 AM, the contractor left a message on my voicemail inquiring if there was any snow in the gutters. The answer would obviously be no if he walked outside. My guess is he made up a story to do another job. Porch also left a message saying the contractor told them it was too dangerous to do because of the snow. There literally was no snow! Porch's fix was to reschedule the same contractor. In addition the guy on the phone was smug. Do yourself a favor, do not go through this service. If I could give no stars I would.

I’ll forgo the tragicomically bad service delivery and being blocked by the provider when I had the audacity to inquire about an exterior patio paint job that literally washed into the gutters (environmentally sound I’m sure) and direct my consternation and what should be a review of an infinite recession of negative stars to the Porch customer support effort...
I’ll spare the reader the vertiginous tedium of my first dozen email exchanges, of responses like “mmm, sorry 'bout that” and a daily promise not delivered upon. I eventually rang in and was transferred to no less than 3 dimwitted and wholly apathetic agents, the last of which instructed me to appeal to the “guarantee department”, and this is where the hilarity ensues. After an exchange of bot-driven canned responses, the inimitable Sam ** came back with this whopper. So in essence, Porch guarantees NO work and theft or fraudulent misrepresentation is remedied by bellyaching on social media or penning a letter to one’s attorney general. Porch is a sloshing, overbrimming chamberpot and a complete scam. Do not use these apes under any circumstance.

Certified Plumbing is great! I called three different plumbing companies for bids on a large project. I had an underground leak that couldn't be found and had to have 165 feet of new water line. Certified was not only the best price they did a fabulous job! Their quality of work was excellent as well as their service and workmanship. I would highly recommend them! They will be my go to plumbing company!

I scheduled an appointment with Porch for Christmas Eve and did so three weeks in advance. After getting the appointment reminder email the day before, I was confident everything would go off without a hitch. Then they called at the time of the scheduled appointment to say they weren't going to be able to make it. NO NOTICE. We were literally on the lookout out the windows for them when the phone rang. They told us they couldn't find anyone to come on Christmas Eve! WHAT??? You've had three weeks to notify me of this so I could make other arrangements.
Now I'm stuck on Christmas Eve with no other plans to assemble my 7 year old's Christmas present from Santa. ABSOLUTELY RUINED OUR CHRISTMAS. And on top of that they made up some story about how they warned me this could happen and that they couldn't guarantee services on Christmas Eve. That was absolutely not true. If they had told me that, I would have certainly made other arrangements well in advance. Thanks for nothing, Porch. I'll never use your services again.

So I got duped into joining porch.com as a contractor. I started with Porch in the summer of 2018 for a sum of $500 pay for leads pay as you go and got zero jobs from it. I have asked for the lead money back for customers either one not contacting you back or to being fraudulent. They refused to issue any of my money back. I still have money on my quote on quote account that they still will not issue back to me. I then after complaining of how poorly they operate they had their sister company Go Smith contact me. I want my total a $500 I given this poorly-run establishment back into my account for their fraudulent claims, however they refuse to give anything back that they've stolen from you.
When I made my profile and I told them I was a licensed contractor they did not care about the licensing, insurance, or anything to do of actual contracting. All they care about is the money that you're willing to dump into their fraudulent business. Absolutely the worst company I've ever had the privilege laugh out loud of giving away my hard-earned money to. Absolutely the worst horriblest company ever! If you want to just give away your money and your time then I highly suggest using the service. Not worth the issues or aggravation or fraudulent claims they do. As a homeowner I very much suggest not using this company seeing they don't do any background checks on the contractors. I tried everything to give them my information and they could have cared less. The only thing they cared about was my credit card number. I would love to find out if there's a class action lawsuit like the one against HomeAdvisor, Angie's List.

Jeremy came in, installed the curtain rods, hung the curtains and left. He called 2 hours prior to arrival. He arrived on time as arranged. He unpacked the curtain rods and unpacked the curtains. He also put the boxes the items came in, into the trash. Good job.

We had an undermount sink that needed to be removed and a new drop in installed. He had to grind off about 1/2 inch of granite which was very difficult. He did a great job installing the sink and new faucet! I would definitely use Porch.com again.

We contacted Porch.com when we ran into problems installing new fireplace doors. They responded to my online request almost immediately. At first I was skeptical because the man I was talking with didn't seem to understand the job or what was needed, and they asked for credit card information over the phone, saying they had to have it to process the service request. They set up an appointment, then emailed to cancel, saying they needed to discuss it with a manager.
I watched my credit card statement daily and there was no problem. I was contacted the next day by another man who knew exactly what we needed. Seems the original cancellation was because the first guy knew he was in over his head and sent to someone else who could help. The second guy (Andrew **) came quickly and did a great job. We paid the minimal price that was appropriately charged to our credit card after the job was completed. Turns out my initial concerns were unfounded, and Porch came through!

They did a nice job improving our curb appeal by trimming and shaping the bushes. The guy cleaned up and carried all the branches to the street. He was polite and made sure we were satisfied with the work. He called to let us know when he would be arriving and was on time.

Mirror hanging project - The handyman arrived on time. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure the project was completed the way I wanted it. Very pleasant experience. The project was completed in a timely manner - just under an hour. I will definitely use Porch again.
