    Don't waste your time or money. I have been paying $62 a month for a year. Called because my AC went out on Wednesday. They told me they need 72 business hours and the following Thursday and Friday were considered a holiday. Waited a whole week in 90 degrees for a technician. The technician came and made things worse, the AC came on but now it leaked. Called the technician back and they said they would come back that Friday. Never heard from them.

    Called all day Monday and Tuesday and they never answered. Called the warranty company back and told them the issue. They said they also couldn't reach the technician and if they couldn't reach him they would assign someone else. Called back 2 days later they state the leak is a NEW issue and they will have to assign someone else and they filed a claim that day. It is July 3rd. So 72 business hours is July 9th. I called 2 days ago. Why wasn't the new claim made then? Why did I have to call back and follow up for the claim to be filed? I called June 16th to begin with so over 3 weeks no AC in 90 degrees. And the person I spoke to on the phone was just mellow and didn't see the issue with them waiting 2 days to file my claim right before a holiday. Just put the $62 in an account for when something breaks because you will expire from heat stroke dealing with this company.

    Hired Brother T Contractor to work on my deck and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Mr. ** failed to install screws in the composite decking board, making the structure, unsafe. I reach out to him multiple times via text and calls. He initially said he would fix the issues, but repeatedly made excuses and blamed someone else for his poor workmanship. I had to hire another professional to correct his workmanship at my own expense. I will not recommend Brother Tony to anyone looking for reliable, safe work and a usable deck.

    Was supposed to send informational packet but it doesn’t open. Now I get a monthly charge for a policy I didn’t know I had. They can’t give me a policy number or send me a copy of this policy. I call, I email, I try everything and no answers. They don’t even ask me for any information to try to look it up. Claim it’s too late for a refund but cancel it. No proof is given that it was done so I do not trust them!!! Whenever they’re done talking to you they simply end the call and hang up. What an amazingly horrible customer service department!!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!!

    I requested to have some curtain rods and curtains installed on 7 windows. I had all of the necessary supplies and a ladder for them to use. Two guys came and reassured me that everything would be put up and all was well, etc. Well, I don't think either one had any experience in hanging rods or curtains. The measurements they took were not consistent and they did not use a stud finder. They had to re-do a rod which left holes in the walls. They said that my ceiling was "uneven" which it is not. They even tried to tell me at one point that I purchased the wrong rod. This turned out to be another error in measurement. They told me that a different team would have to come back to fill and paint, etc.

    There is still a rod that looks off but I didn't want them adding holes. After further inspection, I found one spot without a dry wall anchor and a visible hole from where they tried to install a middle bracket in a larger window. I should have researched this company more and read the reviews but here we are. I have attached some pictures of the freshly painted wall that will now need fixing. These guys were not professional and smelled like they had just hot boxed in the car before coming into my house. I like to give people a chance to prove themselves but I will not be contacting the company ever again. Use them at your own risk.

    I’m leaving this review specifically for the home warranty service offered through Porch.com (Porch Warranty), not the general contractor referral service. I submitted a warranty claim in December 2024 for a malfunctioning stove and dishwasher. A technician—Quentin from Parker Appliance Repair—was sent out multiple times but was unable to repair either appliance. After repeated attempts to reach the technician for follow-up (with no response), I emailed Porch on 1/29/25 and received no reply.

    When I finally got someone on the phone, I was told the dishwasher claim had been closed, even though it wasn’t fixed. Eventually, I spoke with an analyst (possibly named Pam) who said they’d issue me a refund check for both appliances, since the stove also couldn’t be repaired. I was told on 2/24/25 that the check would arrive in 2–3 weeks. Since then, I’ve made multiple follow-up calls. On 3/24/25, I was told the check hadn’t even been printed. On 3/25, I was told the claim was being expedited, but again, no call back. On 3/26, I spoke with Fernando, who told me the check was with the finance department and might take another 30 days. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or the finance department, I was denied both times. Fernando was also incredibly dismissive and talked over me the entire call.

    This experience has been exhausting, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Porch Warranty has made verbal commitments they haven’t kept, and the customer service has been consistently poor. If you’re considering Porch’s home warranty service—I strongly advise against it. I’ve spent over 3 months just trying to get a refund for appliances their techs couldn’t fix. Total waste of time and energy.

    This has been a 4-year DISGUSTING disappointing disaster... It all started about 4 years ago when the School owner/friend told me and the other Instructors to sign on with Porch for leads.. Both my colleague and myself both got hit hard at 1st with debit card pops to the point of closing the bank card. I pushed and got My Buddy Vic and Lia to call and Call and Call until I was SUCKERED INTO THE V.I.P. and sent in a large sum of money into a VIP account for leads. 1st in line etc.

    4 years later my $1500 plus account is now at its remaining $350 balance and I just got a email stating it will expire tomorrow and they will keep my remaining balance. Mind you. I have emailed and called in and off for years on top of numerous times ironically the last few weeks... 4 years absolutely positively zero projects... Zero zero zero... When I was expecting/opening/leads from Day 1 I did immediately... I was on the ball! What a bunch of no-good cowardly crooks... This is disgusting! This is wrong! This is criminal!!

    Green Energy Insulation came to the job. I had wet insulation and water in my vapor barrier in my mobile home. David was more than fair in pricing.     Porch.com scamming both general contractors and customers. 99% of their leads are fake. Customers also are annoyed by calls coming from a bunch of contractors. When you call their office, even the employees would tell you not to rely on the contact information.

    We booked a shower door install online at porch.com two weeks ago. Exchanged several text messages confirming appointment and were given the installer's name Richard and phone #**. The appointment was for 09/17/24 at 9:00AM. We received a Text on 09/16/24 confirming appointment and requesting credit card info. This was provided. The installer never showed up. We called the main #, ** and the installer #, ** and both go to a recording asking for the phone # associated with the job. When entered it state that the number is not recognized and the line disconnects. I was able to determine that the ** number is an unlisted number which is odd for a business and the ** is a landline number listed to a female in Dallas, TX.

    I have used Porch when they were newer back about 6 yrs ago. And they were pretty good about being reasonable. However, as they grew they became less reasonable and more legalistic. So I stopped using them for a while. I give them another try after leaving for 2-3 yrs this season. I started with their pay as you go lead opportunities. Sadly the quality was not great, so testing the waters was not good. NO ROI. Porch has a auto refund policy which is good. However life doesn't go according to policies, does it. I left them over a lead denial. Policy is 2 calls 2 text within 72 hrs. That's fine. I called 3 times and was within 10 mins over the 72hrs to send the next text. Now mind you this was either way a unresponsive lead. Porch knew this. I asked that they be reasonable about their intention of the policy. They want their contractors to make an effort, no problem! I agree.

    However this is where the Integrity of a company (or the tires met the road so to speak) shows in their actions. They're unwilling to be reasonable which shows me they're more concerned about their bottom line than our relationship as a customer. I left them due to their lack of Integrity they showed me today. This is the very issue when Porch becomes so large and so corporate, like the Home Advisors out there. I don't have time to chase supervisors or go up the chain of command over something that should be simple for them to take care of. I wouldn't recommend at this time.

    Called 17 times. Got an agent twice and was hung up on both times. I asked them to correct invalid and incorrect information on my business name. I had one single review with 5 stars. Porch website said I had two reviews for three stars. I did have one inaccuracy removed several years ago. The Bing site showed I had 1.5 stars -- with one single 5-star rating. These people should be sued, they are horrible. If anyone wants to do class action count me in.

In addition to my needs, these telemarketer types asked if they could also send a plumber and an electrician, for unknown repairs. Then, I got an email and text message claiming that a religious organization, called "Universal Endtime Harvest Ministry" best matched my needs. Three years ago, we successfully used Porch. Today, Porch is a scam.

    We are in the Green Pond Area of West Anderson, S.C. We hired Brad and his team from Outdoor Living through Porch.com to resolve a serious water management issue. Brad came out the same day, made a recommendation, quoted a price, built a retaining wall, and tied in four roof downspouts, moving all water to the road drainage. Others were called but did not even show up. There was no cost overrun, and the end product was far better than I had anticipated. Not having them bid on your project would be a mistake. His crew was reliable, friendly, efficient, and attentive to detail. Every single block was installed using a level, so the wall is not only effective but also visually and aesthetically pleasing. The lake that appeared in our backyard every rainfall has disappeared.

    The lower part of the hill was leveled and followed by a two-foot layer of white stone. Special 75# interlinked blocks followed and were leveled one by one using a level. Behind the wall were placed, a plastic moisture barrier, irrigation tubing, and backfill. The openings in the blocks were hand-filled with additional stone to add weight and further stability. This was followed by concrete caps along the top of the wall, creating a beautiful finished product. The areas above and below the wall were planted with over 750 juniper ground cover plants, again laid one by one using a level to measure a consistent distance between plants. The entire project, when completed, was a work of art. Grass seed and fertilizer were spread to cover adjacent work areas, and sod was laid in an area that previously had no grass due to the constant flooding. Anyone wishing to take a look at this project with before and after photos is welcome.

    I contacted Porch Home Assistance for work around my home. I at first thought to used them for replacing a garbage disposal. The contractor was scheduled to come to my home at a scheduled time and called me at the last minute to inform me stating he was running late basically needing to reschedule. And by the way I left my job to meet this guy. Eventually, we agreed to reschedule for a later time in the day, well he failed to show up or call. It's been 3 days since the missed appointment and the company (Porch) hadn't even called me to apologize and nor has the contractor. This company stinks. I lost a whole day out of my schedule waiting for them. I contacted a different company who immediately sent someone out who showed up on time and fixed the problem. Do not use Porch. They will waste your time.

    Cezar did a very good job in repairing a 3-5 foot section of brick mobile home skirting including a service access point. He was done in just a three to four hours and the result was highly appreciated. Price was a high but the availability of a repair person with masonry repair experience was a hard to find search.

    I made an appointment 2 days ago for window caulking. Repair person never showed and never called. After calling 4 different numbers, I had to call from a different phone number to get an answer. Upon call back, I was told that Porch had bad news and that no one was coming. This is an hour and fifteen minutes AFTER APPOINTMENT TIME! They could not get a repair person to take the job. Yet, Porch has confirmed for 2 days via personal call, and repeated texts and emails that the job had been assigned and that the appointment was confirmed! They even gave me the repairman's name. Don't bother wasting your time with this company.

    Contractor never showed up, no call, no text. However 5 days before the guy was to show up I received daily text reminders even listing his name and phone number in case I had any questions. We are not yet living in the house but getting it staged to move in. So we don't live there and had to drive out only to sit for 2 hrs waiting on him or the company to call us back. The 800 number didn't offer us any alternative. They just said, "We will look into it," and call me back. Still no word from them. I would recommend that no one uses them. If you notice their comments to other bad reviews they must copy and paste the same response to all.

    EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I made an appointment for gutter cleaning for 9/1/23 I took off a half day of work to come home and meet the worker, but they never showed. At about 3p (an hour after the appointment time) I called Porch and left a message. They called me back to tell me the worker couldn't show up. He offered to reschedule and I gave some available times and I was told I would get a call back. Never got a call back but I got this message 2 days later:

    "Hello, this is Yazmin with Porch. We're reaching out to see if the provider was able to make it to your appointment on September 1st. If not, would you like to reschedule the appointment? Please let us know what dates and time you're available by replying to this message. Thank you for considering Porch. Yazmin (323) 615-2586"

    I explained how I took off work and was inconvenienced. I then received this message: "Hello, This is Bego project coordinator from Porch Handyman Services. I'm reaching out regarding your project. Unfortunately, we have a provider that did not show up. We do apologize for this inconvenience, and we will take action. We need to be on time and we do not tolerate this unprofessional action, I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. We would be available to get this done for you. Let us know the day that works for you, please provide 3 dates that you would be available after September 6, and let us know if you prefer the morning or afternoon. I would be happy to help you reschedule. Please call us at (800) 672-0365 or reply to this message. Thank you for choosing Porch."

    I replied with some times and then on 9/6 got this confirmation of another appointment: "Your gutter cleaning appointment has been rescheduled. Your appointment details Date:Friday, Sep. 8, 2023 Time:3:00pm PDT." Then LATER THE SAME DAY I received this message: "Your gutter cleaning service is canceled." I replied asking for an explanation and never heard back. What a complete waste of time and such a disregard for anything resembling a reliable business.

    Do Not Use this company!! This company put me and my family at risk with the handyman they sent out. I was promised that I would have two handymen to complete my job. They only sent one. The one that they did send was unprofessional, did not finish the job and left damage to my wood floors. Because Porch did not pay him, he contacted me on LinkedIn. The handyman knew where I worked, where I lived and my full name. When I spoke to Porch about my concerns, they did absolutely nothing. I would never use this company again and urge others not to do the same.

    It's a total Scam. We just spent $360 for the renewal fee, for absolutely nothing, their demand is too low, you'll end up paying super high per lead because if you're lucky you'll get 6-8 leads a year, you call them and they'll make you think they are working on that to investigate, but they don't care, they just want to get the money from you and don't care about the customers(contractors). If you guys try them(I don't recommend it), make sure to cancel the renewal ASAP. P.S. People that review them with 5 stars are all Homeowners, not Contractors.

    Porch does not deliver on any promises they give in exchange for your money. I fired them once, then they contacted me 6 months later claiming they had signed on with more companies to give me more leads AND their so called "vetted program" would give me even more. I paid the $250 fee for the year. They gave me a $110 lead credit to make up for the bad leads 6 months ago. Two weeks in, I've gotten "2" leads. One cancelled, the other did not respond??!! Same thing as before. No change except I let myself get conned out of $250 they refuse to refund. Do not believe anything they claim.., as a business or a customer looking for quality service providers. They never even had me prove I had insurance.

    Beware of this company. We had a free Porch account apparently for several years. We realized it was set up incorrectly and spoke with the team about closing it since we never received any leads they convinced us to try their “PRO SERIES PLATFORM”. This was a few thousand a month and it would auto replenish only if lead funds were spent.. We only received a few leads and they took the same amount out the following month. We tried reaching them to discuss, but once you sign with them they are nowhere to be found.

    I Called the Sales Rep and our account manager who signed us, this is also the representative who said we can cancel if we are not happy at any time. He never answered so we sent several notices to cancel. During this they kept running out account each month and finally after we told them we were going to take legal action.. months later they said there was a “certain form to sign”. They are full of lies and the worse of crooks. We never received any real leads…they have several thousand of our money and refuse to communicate.
