I've had Orkin for about five years and I do fine with them. I had carpenter ants and I got rid of those really nicely. I also haven't had a termite problem since they started.

There needs to be an evaluation on the way the bills are sent out. I realize the mail is slow but I receive my bill anywhere from a couple of days to a week after it is due. By the time I get my check in the mail, I am already receiving calls of my overdue account needing to be addressed. I realize the company would like for me to go digital but I am still "old school."

Orkin techs come out every other month. My next service is on the 4th of November. I've been a customer for four years and Orkin has come out a little bit better than others. I would get my normal household spiders. The service is more preventative measures to get the outside bugs. This particular year, my issue was ants and it was really bad. No matter what, they came in. No matter what the technicians did, I could not get rid of the ants.
When I have a substitute tech come out, he addresses the issues. Orkin accommodates my needs a little bit better versus my regular tech. I usually have the substitute tech treat the outside of my house, the inside of my three-story house including the basement, and my garage. It's not a finished garage but I still want to keep out the critters from coming in.
When I have my regular technician, he acts like he doesn't wanna do the job. My schedule is already tight and I will go off the hinges very quickly, especially when I'm paying for a service. I have tried to get that technician replaced. But there are not too many technicians, especially because of COVID. Lately, I had the same temp technician so that's been good. The last guy that came out did a phenomenal job.

The technicians are fine, but customer service sometimes can be a little rough. One of the most difficult things to do is reschedule an appointment. I understand that part of the reason is because of the product and they wanna make sure that it is at its best, but being more flexible with rescheduling would be nice. I had one call with one of the customer service agents, and it was almost like she was pressuring me to keep an appointment. If I could keep it, I would have just kept it.
I was able to change the appointment to a date that worked for me. Even though it just put the product at risk, it wasn't anything that I would have blamed the company for, because when she explained it to me, I knew this was my choice. If something doesn't work right, I know that it's on me. Other than that, Orkin has been great. We've had so much relief from having them come out and do the treatments that they've done. We have very little to zero bug issues since they started coming to us.

I would like to say that Scott ** has been coming to my home for years now. He is always so professional and polite and answers all my questions with much knowledge and experience. Our Orkin technician is John and he is great! He does a really good job of communicating with us and understanding what we are looking for from the service calls. If we notice a new issue, he is quick to respond to it with an effective remedy. He is also very flexible and understanding if we have to reschedule for some reason and he always finds a way to squeeze in a "makeup" treatment. We would recommend Orkin to anyone who needs regular pest control.

Alycia is the best! Although she keeps harping on me to fix the unused dog door into my garage, which last weekend I finally fixed. But she was only doing that so that I didn't get unwanted critters into my garage. She also gave me some spider traps so that my roommate feels better. He is sensitive to arachnids. She is the best and keeps my house pest free!!

Orkin has taken good care of things. Once in a while, we'll get some bees around, which we've had on and off, and they'll come and take care of it. Right now, they're all gone. I'm satisfied with them. We have somebody who comes, and it's a regular guy, usually. He knows the house inside out, and he's very good. The techs come once a month, and they usually do the same thing, but they always ask if we have problems. We'll tell them if there is something then they come in the house, up to the attic, take a look around and then they do the outside and around the house. What I like about it is if we have a problem, they will come in between visits and not charge us.

We have excellent service from Orkin and it's all about the technician. He's the best we've ever had. We had him last year for almost all of our visits and he's the reason we've stayed with Orkin. He’s an outstanding representative of the program and the company. He knows his job and he knows how to relate to the customer. I have three dogs in the house and he is experienced with dogs, which makes the whole experience of him being in our home even better. Prior to Orkin, we used Terminix. But we went to Orkin and I wanted to stay with them because in working with Orkin we discovered, by talking with the tech, that the outside bait boxes were the solution for us. And it’s been a really good program.
On the most recent visit, I heard a noise in the kitchen really early in the morning and I thought I had mice under the sink. I’m terrified of mice and I called Orkin's office. At first, they said I was on the schedule for two days and they couldn't do anything. But then, somehow, someone from the office called me back and told me that the tech would come that day. He said he would work me in and I was so impressed with whoever from the office had the courtesy to call me and let me know that he would come. Then, he did come and that was truly out of the ordinary, because these guys are booked and they have a certain number of hours to get a certain number of houses taken care of. The tech who came out was so kind, helpful, and informative. He showed me exactly why and explained what was going on. And to do this to someone who is terrified of rodents, that says a lot. He was able to help me in such a way it all made sense.

I've been using Orkin for at least 40 something years and I've always been very satisfied. The techs are all good, very polite and nice. Sometimes I have to have them come when they're not scheduled, but never a problem that Orkin couldn’t solve, so far. I've had things like fire ants and termites, and Orkin got rid of all those nasty things in different places. They are very reliable and seem to be reasonably priced. They guarantee their work too, so how can you go wrong?

I originally only had one property and I decided to expand to my second property 'cause Orkin does a great job. Martin's always good. He does really well in doing both of our properties. He's been coming for a little over a year now. A couple of times ago, it was a different individual. But she was really nice as well and she did a good job. Right as the cold weather started coming out, we started getting wet season spiders and more ants. But since the tech sprayed, I haven't noticed any, even less few dead ones. I love that I don't have to see bugs all the time.

90% of the techs have been great. They've been able to really manage the situation, correct as much as they can. We are incredibly happy with our current provider, George. He's so professional, always super responsive and really respectful. I really love that. Another guy named Bernard was always just a great guy too.

Orkin bought out the pest company I was using. The techs come out every three months, and they spray my exterior for insects, knock down cobwebs and give advice on how to maintain the property so that it assists with encroachment of the critters into my house. I'm happy with them and would recommend them. The pest activity has had a big improvement from the previous company.

Jorge is the one we consult with and he always knocks on our door and lets us know he’s here and that he's going in the backyard. If we wanted privacy, we can shut the windows or do whatever we needed to. He always asks, “Are there any concerns inside or outside your home?” We express those concerns with him and he says, “I'll take care of it.”
With our recent experience, we had ants and spiders. At the end of that visit, he knocked on the door and went in-depth on what he did with and how he handled the ants and what we should be doing for the next hour or whatever time it is he applied the treatments. Same with the spiders. If it's inside, he recommends we leave for an hour to whatever the time is, and if we have pets, which we don't, to take them with us. He's very detailed and very concerned for our health and wellbeing as well as treating the symptom of whatever the issue is that Orkin is here to do.
Jorge is very helpful. We had just redone our lawn and we noticed something wasn't right and showed it to him. Our backyard faces the wilderness and he guessed it was a gopher. He's always in the morning and he came back that evening and caught the gopher for us. We haven't had any more gophers. My neighbors on either side get a lot of gophers, but we've been here 23 years and only one gopher and Jorge caught it. We don't have enough accolades to give him. I'd give my technician triple 5s and if anybody wants to call me, confirm it, and ask more, they’re welcome to.

They give us a lot of flexibility to change. We also know when they're coming so, that worked out well. The techs have also been very polite and helpful. They offered suggestions as well as doing the work. I always talked with them at the beginning if there was anything, in particular, I've noticed. I'm fine with the service. It cut down all the ants and I don’t have wasps making nests or if they do, they get wiped out.

We've had Orkin for a number of years. We had them at the old house and we’ve had them here. We've been very satisfied and happy with their service. They've always taken care of us. They're very responsive. We had animals in the house. None of our animals have ever gotten sick because of what they’ve used. We don't have the critters in the house. If we find any, they're quick to take care of it. There's not been a problem with termites. Their service has been impeccable. We used to have Jack, and then Jack retired. We ended up with Mike. Mike has been with us for a number of years. We know him, he knows us. They really take good care of us.

I had a wonderful experience with a tech named Andrew back in February when I went to answer the door and I fell and broke my hip. He helped me get back into bed and went about his business around the house for the ants. It was wonderful. We're very satisfied with Orkin. They take care of everything.

Orkin schedules everything ahead of time and techs come out every three months. They're cordial and helpful, and the service has been consistent. Their customer service is good and they're respectful too. Even with the pandemic and making sure they've got their mask, they're conscientious and thoughtful.

Interacting with the technicians that come out is A-plus. Customer service is great. Scheduling is an A also and it's done on the computer. But Orkin should be aware of fixed income customers and not go raising prices above inflation rate. Other than that, they're excellent and they do the job.

Orkin is very prompt and committed to their work. They have awesome technicians. I get an email when they're coming and when they arrive. So, they communicate very well. Once they arrive, they ask me what services I want because most of the time, I don't really remember when they're coming so I don't get to remove everything that they need. They let me know exactly what they're putting down and what they're doing. They first exterminated termites and I haven't had any since. They do their annual inspection too.

Our church has been open and it's full of spiders. There was a fellow who came but none of the trustees were there when he did. But, Orkin sent me a bill for $99. We're not going to pay that until they come back and spray the inside of the church. I'm not satisfied with the service at the church. My personal service is in Fayetteville and I'm very satisfied with the service of my home. We had a problem with moles in the yard, and Orkin was the one who offered us some advice and resources.

We were calling for estimates and Joe came out and spent a good deal of time with us. He was really friendly, informative and made up our minds right there. He was thorough, answered questions and didn't make me feel like an idiot for asking. He went into details that were really informative and a big help in doing our part in keeping little critters away. There were cockroaches and then there were smaller guys and they were taken care of. We've been really happy with Orkin.

We had a very severe infestation of camel crickets right after we moved in. Orkin got started on it and they have totally taken care of that. Our tech is the best. He is so reliable. Orkin started sending somebody else to us and it's been several people. Our tech was going at a different route and Orkin had split the routes. We said, “If that’s who we're gonna have, then we're probably going to quit.” So, our tech is back and we're happy.
I really like having the tech come once a month to check on things 'cause I know he'll let me know if he sees anything, like a broken pipe, a frozen pipe or if anybody had been in to vandalize. Sometimes, we would have a big swarm of ladybugs and he would get on that. Recently, we had some rat droppings on our deck and the tech took care of that. There have been people on our block that started Orkin because of how much we like them and they really love them too. They're great.

We had a black box bug that liked the warm house. Kevin, the tech really took care of the situation. He has been the best technician I could have ever asked for. I'm very happy with my services. I brag and I've gotten two other people to sign up because of my recommendations.

Orkin has always been very helpful and they have great customer service. I originally called because I had a lot of ants in the front and backyard. Ever since they've come, that problem is gone. A couple of times, I've gotten ants inside the house and Orkin is always quick to come by and spray again. The person who was coming regularly told me that he was no longer with the company but he was really great. He would always text. I would get a text saying that they're coming on a certain day. But if I wasn't working from home that day and my husband wouldn't be available, I would just reschedule and it was very easy. I've had a few different people and they've all been really nice. Sometimes I'm home by myself and I have to let them in if I have a problem in the house and I've always felt comfortable. So, I'm very happy. They're very professional.

The customer service is great. Mr. ** who works for Orkin is a family friend and he's awesome. The other guys who used to come out took their time. They listened to whatever I had to say and took care of my issues. If I needed them to come back, they wouldn't make me wait. Orkin sprayed around my property and got rid of the rat problem. When a house burned down next door I had wood rats coming in, they put out traps and everything else. I found a humongous rat by the trap. So that means their product works.

We had a really helpful maintenance from Jerry who's been with us for a long time. He's the reason we stick with Orkin. He's the face of the company. Orkin has been flexible if we needed service. We had a monthly maintenance. If not, it's quarterly or seasonal. It's really nice to work with a company that is flexible and doesn't bind you to a contract. They've been really understanding about coming when necessary but staying on top of things and being preventative.
Living in the woods where we are, it's important to stay proactive about protecting the home. A company that doesn't really always try to upsell you is nice. We did some major exclusion stuff with them, and we did some major preventative care. They did a dry seal of the crawlspace and that changed our house. It ended up smelling better. They cleaned it all out.
They waited a long time for an item that was backordered for insulation that was in this crawlspace. They could have just done it with something else and cheaper and not the radar value, but they waited and did it right. That's the kind of company that I'd like to work with. They explain why it takes longer and they have communication. It showed a lot about the company that they installed it up to the best and highest quality they’re used to.

Orkin sprays the exterior of the house for ants and spiders. They do the immediate perimeter of the house, the structure perimeter, and then they do the interior as well if I have any issues. Since they've been coming, occasionally, depending on weather like if it's too hot, we'll hear crickets but I don't have any pests inside of my home. On the outside, you can't control what's happening as much, but I don't have roaches and rodents. In our area, that's pretty normal for a lot of these houses and I don't ever have to worry about that.
For the most part, the technicians have been good. In the latest two times they've come out, I've had a couple of issues with scheduling, but that was because the technicians were being reassigned units. I really love that they moved most of their interaction online because their phone system was usually pretty heavy to wait. So, they've improved that in the last two years where if you don't want them to come at their scheduled date, you can go online and just modify the date and request a new date. I really like that they revamped that part of it. It's really great.

I constantly had ants in my house and in my backyard. I knew that there was an anthill underneath the house. Whenever we had a party, we had to fight the ants to keep them down. I called Orkin to see about getting something done. Since I signed up, there have only been stray ants crawling in here in the kitchen once or twice. That's why I continue with Orkin. They spray outside and all around the house. Our tech has done a good job of spraying outside, keeping the ants and the bugs down, and the cobwebs off.

I've had Orkin for quite a while now. I started with them when I heard scratching noises and I had them come out and see if there was any activity in the house for mice. In my experience, there were some sketchy techs. They would come, wouldn't knock, and would just do the front. They would leave and the report would say that they did the whole house. But for over the last year or two, I've had the same guy named Ismael. He's amazing. Through text messages, I would know that he would be coming. He makes sure to knock so I know he's there and I can open the gate. He does the spraying and there hasn't been any pest. We haven't had any problems on the inside. Everything's been good because it's him.
But I had to use a separate company to get rid of the mice because Orkin would just come out and they would set the traps. They are supposed to fill the holes but they really don't do that. For rodents, I would recommend going with another company. But if it comes to making sure the ants are gone as well as fleas, I would 100% recommend Orkin.

I have seen amazing results in my home thanks to Chris from Orkin. He started servicing my home in early 2020 and remained professional, yet friendly throughout the pandemic. I had a huge problem with fungus gnats and since he has serviced our home I have seen very few (if any) bugs at all. I would recommend Orkin to anyone looking for pest control.

I got Orkin within a couple of months of moving here. I had a problem with ants in the window area of one of the rooms and I wanted to make sure that everything was taken care of right away. I've been very satisfied with everything that Orkin has done and I have not had ant problems since. I have a wonderful young man that comes here for treatments every two months. The gentlemen that helped me with the termite treatment and the guys that came to do that were great.
The only thing I'm not happy about is I have not yet received the printed copy of my agreement for the termite inspection. We had a real problem with it because my name kept being wrong on it. Orkin finally got that cleared up. I have a corrected copy on my computer but I had requested a copy to be mailed to me. I don't do really well with computers so I really prefer to have one printed so that I can have that in a file. Orkin is expensive but I worked it into my budget. I'm a little bit hopeful that I'll be able to continue the termite protection thing. Based on the original information, it looks like it's going to go up quite a bit every year. I'm not really thrilled about that.

As per usual, our most recent Orkin service was top notch. The representative called us before he arrived to let us know he was on the way. He was most courteous during the time he was at our home and fully explained the service he was providing and asked if we had any questions. He also told us when he was leaving that if we had any problems, to please let him know.

The technician is friendly and helpful. They always ask if there are any problems in or around the house. If there is a problem they will handle it then. They always say if anything comes up to call them, which we have and they came out and took care of the problem.

Orkin is very dependable and professional! Always on time, and my service technician Phillip is very thorough. I have the peace of mind knowing if I were to need an additional treatment all I have to do is call and Orkin will retreat my residence. I’ve been using Orkin for 12 years and have confidence in their quarterly service. They always come on the scheduled date and time, or on a rescheduled date if I have a conflict. I’ve had several representatives over the years who all seem to be knowledgeable, friendly and qualified. I’m never sure if I should follow the person around or not. I just assume they are doing what they’re supposed to do. I don’t like the use of chemicals in and around my house, especially with a pet, but it’s necessary and it’s applied responsibly.

Michael ** is the worker who comes to my house from Orkin. He is punctual. He works around my schedule. He is polite and thorough. Mr. ** works fast. We used to have ants in our kitchen. He investigated outside and found trails and nests on the south side of our house. We rarely see ants in our kitchen anymore. I would recommend him and Orkin to anyone.

Orkin techs come every other month and I love them. If I need them in-between, I call them. I've only had to call them out three times at the most to come an additional time. They generally call the day before to let me know they are coming. When they show up, they go about their business. I like that they don't interrupt us. They don't impose on us but they're not unapproachable either. If we have questions, we could go out there and they welcome our questions.

We got Orkin in 1986. We started in Forest Hill and when we got here to Upper Marlboro, we had a problem with humpback crickets, got the pest control and had that ever since. We had the yearly termite inspection and we got the pest inspection quarterly as well. For any problems, I usually call the office, but sometimes I have a problem with them. If there's gonna be a delay, sometimes they don't let me know. For instance, it used to be someone would come the third Thursday of every quarter, and recently, they've changed it to the first Wednesday of every quarter. Somebody just showed up and said, “Oh, yeah. Your schedule's changed.” This week, I was gonna call because that means they're supposed to come next Wednesday, but nobody's notified me. Apart from that, the technician is fantastic and I don't have any problems with him. In fact, we've had William for quite a while and I really like him.

I was in Bible class and saw a guy spraying. I never saw a roach where we do the Bible class and we eat there. He gave me a card for Orkin. I then had someone come to spray the house for rodents. This house has been here for so long but my mom did not call an exterminator because she was allergic to whatever they were putting in the house. At that time, they used to wear masks to put that chemical. The house was infested with roaches. It was so bad that I was spreading them in people's houses. There was also a time that one got in my ear and I had to go to the hospital. We also had mice and water bugs. I was trying to control them the best way I knew how but they were overpowering me. I used to be embarrassed if I have a party and I always have to keep my pot covered because I don't want any roach to go inside my food.
Richard is the person who has been spraying my house for the past five years and he is A-number uno. We initially had service once a month then it was once every two months. Now it's once every three months. From the roaches that I had in my house before and how I see it now, the difference is day and night. I have seen a beautiful control. I told Richard today that I saw one tiny roach within three months, which is not bad. I also only saw one mouse. The house has a basement and the mice come from the sewage. But they are all under control because Richard leaves food for them. When they eat that, they die. If they die, they get in the glue.
I like that Richard is prompt and I can schedule my appointment around him. If I want to go and have the rest of the day, I don't have to worry about Richard not being here on time. Normally, he comes at night but he was here at 8:45 today, which was still good. He is fast and professional. He gets everything done in an excellent way. He's the only one I allow to come to my house. If he's on vacation and someone else comes, it's hard to fill his shoes because he had such a high standard.
I really thank Orkin for having such very powerful chemicals and Richard said that they are organic. It's also odorless too. I wish that Orkin can go to the buildings in Brooklyn that are infested with roaches instead of having these maintenance people that are spraying people's houses. the situation is bad and if you don't cover your bag, you can be taking the roaches home with you. Now that I use Orkin, even if there's a roach that slipped that came into my house, they would die. I won't even see them because my house is well protected. I really love Orkin and I am an over-satisfied customer. I even let them take the money out of my account. That's how much I trust Orkin.

During the time that I got Orkin, my mom was sick. I was taking care of her and she was allergic to almost anything. She got bit by a mosquito and it is swelled up. She had to get a shot. Because of my mom's strokes, she didn't feel when a fly or anything was crawling on her and I had to protect her. In the meantime, I had flowers in the house that different people sent to me and I didn't know there were bugs in the plants. I bought some stuff to try and kill them but that didn't do anything. I then had ants coming in at my patio door. I had to find somebody so I called Orkin. This was back in 2001. The first person that came out was Dimitri and I fell in love with him because he was really nice. He found the source of the ants that I was having a problem with.
In the process of finding the ants, Orkin found out that the bugs that I was seeing flying around were coming from my plants. I ended up having to throw away all of them. Orkin also found the source of the ants. Somebody had thrown one of those Twinkies up against my patio door from the outside. It was stuck up around the outside of the patio door and the ants had built the nest there. They were coming from underneath. I had tried so much to get rid of those ants. I can't stand things that crawl and I don’t like flying stuff either.
I had Dimitri for a long time until he got his promotions and moved up. Now, I have Jeff and I love him too. He is very congenial and he's always in a happy mood. He's been doing this job for a little while and I like the relationship that we have. I don't like getting different technicians. I like having the same person. We can find common ground to have a conversation.
My only thing with Orkin is they changed their procedures and now when I get my bill, they don't have the date when they're going to come out. When I first started with them, I chose Thursdays in the morning before 10:00. On the third Thursday, I have a luncheon that I generally go to and that is at 11:30. That's why I would need technicians to get here before 10:00. I would make sure that I am not in the shower where I don't hear them.
When I got my bill before, they showed the date that Orkin was coming out. Generally, someone would call me the night before and let me know that they were coming and what time they were gonna get here. Now, they just say the month that they will see me when they send the bill. A week before, they would send me an email saying they would see me in a week. I don't like this new method because I don't go on my computer and I don't have a smartphone. I would wonder if a technician would come or not at the time that I asked for. I called Orkin and told them about my issue and they just said they would schedule me for such and such. They would let me know when they were going to do it. But my bill comes out and they still didn't put a date and time on there.

We're very happy with Orkin's service. They have been good about notifying and they do it through email. Their techs are top-notch too. We had issues with carpenter ants for decades. After the very first treatment, we didn't see an ant and it's been good since.

I usually get an email from Orkin saying what day and time the person will be out. I have always had good experiences with him. He always asks if there's any trouble he can concentrate on and I always tell him what's going on at that time period. He always addresses it so I have no complaints.

If I could do a negative star I would. Rodent control was the issue. Beginning of experience WAS great and then the tech comes to my house to "fix" the screens for entry points. NO the correct term they use is "patch". The guy made it worse by not cleaning screen area where the glue was going. He GLUES THE SCREEN TO THE PILE OF DIRT. So nothing sticks. So now new entry ways can be made.
Fast forward to talking to the manager and getting a refund. He refunds me the monthly payment to one card and the initial of $238 has to now be returned on a check (which is already insanely ridiculous) but today, one week later, I call to see where this so called check is and the office lady says, "Oh yeah. That takes 4-6 WEEKS." When Doug told me we would have received the check by last Friday. Left Doug a text and voicemail. Don’t waste your time with this company if you need rodent control. I wasn’t going to do a bad review because they are giving me my money back but after hearing 4-6 weeks from an office lady for a check, I lost it.

We've been with Orkin for about a dozen years. We worked with them before when we used to live in Houston. It was a totally different branch and people. Over the years, we have had some issues with them but their management is very approachable. If you call and ask to speak to one of the branch managers, there's never an issue. They've always either made whatever was wrong right or accommodated whatever our requests were.
We had some really good technicians with Orkin then they started to experience a lot of turnovers. Ken came one day to fill in and I called the branch manager and requested that he become our permanent technician. He's absolutely amazing. He's polite, prompt, and does everything we ask. Also, I get an email when it's time for Orkin to do a service call. If I'm not available, I called them and let them know that that day or time isn't going to work. They accommodate whatever date and time I need. Orkin is tried and true so we appreciate all they do for us.

We were using a different pest control company and at the time, they weren't helping out. We were finding issues then we switched to Orkin based off a recommendation from a friend and they exceeded all of our expectations. One of the biggest things is how friendly they are when we're talking to them. Especially in the summer, if you get ants, it's a little embarrassing and they say, “This is just an issue for the area. It's not anything that maybe you did.” We have the same technician every time, and he's been absolutely amazing. Super nice guy. Also, appointments are scheduled on a quarterly basis, so usually, if I have to call to get them out in between those quarterly visits, then it's a matter of simply calling the hotline. They always send somebody out quick.

A few years ago, we had a sudden infestation of ants during Thanksgiving, into our house, one of our kids’ rooms, and Orkin was the only one that was able to respond the quickest. We stuck with them because they did an amazing job. I really appreciate the work they do. The website could use some improvements because it's a bit buggy. The first time I did, it was confusing and it was not obvious right away how to schedule a touch-up. But once I figured it out, it became easy. The gentleman that handles our house has done a great job, especially since there was a guy before that used to come over. He just quit unexpectedly so this guy had to pick up the slack.

I've had different technicians over the years but everybody's been great. The job gets done because it's outside usually and I don't have to be here. They usually create a barrier at the perimeter of the outside of the house. I don’t usually have them in the house but this visit was because we had a lot of ants coming in the upstairs bathroom. It was right after the bad storm. We also had the outside of the house pressure washed. The tech came in and put some of the clear poison goop in a few places in the bathroom upstairs. We still see the ants half a dozen times usually but they're usually not well. So they're on their way out. The regular visit is in November so I told the tech we'll wait until November instead of him having to do another perimeter thing.
Orkin is one of the best things we ever did because you don’t have to think about it. The money comes out on my credit card. One day I'll look at my bills and I'll see it. It means that somebody else is doing the work. Putting a barrier around the base of the perimeter seems to work and if the ants decide to cross that barrier, then they’re not gonna last very long once they get inside. Because they’ve already touched something toxic. We’re in Pawling, New York and we live right on the Great Swamp, which is a beautiful, natural area that goes for miles and miles. So we're not trying to kill every ant out there. We just like them to stay outside. So what we do and what Orkin does for us works. And it’s good for the environment. More people should do it.

It took a month to merely verify the job was still in perfect working order. When the guys finally got there they did a wonderful job and did a full inspection even checking the attic crawl space which I would/could never do. As it turns out they did a great sale which will be done Sept 27th. Mercy! Why is this so expensive?? WE are old and my husband is in the beginning stage of dementia which we all know how this turns out. I am already at my age so very stressed and worry about the money it will take to provide good care for my husband when I am no longer able to do so.

I originally called Orkin for the centipedes and I haven't had any trouble since. I find them dead in the basement. I found one alive in my bathroom the other day but he was pert near dead. So, Orkin has taken care of that for me. I’m fine with their customer service but some of the technicians act like it’s a chore. They barely walk around the outside of the house. I had a guy before the last one who came out that if molasses would have been on the bottom of his shoes, he couldn't have gone any slower.
The other guy we had, Jeremiah, was wonderful but he moved out of state. He knocked down the cobwebs and this last guy did too. But some of the technicians, I wish they hadn't come. It was a waste of my money and their time. Still, I'm hoping that my experience wouldn't always be that way. There was a kid out here the other day and he was disgusted. He was canvassing the area for a different company to exterminate. These are older families in this area and they're already established. I said they probably got Orkin. He said okay and thanked me for telling him and that he will go to the new areas.

We use Orkin to do our in-house pest control, carpenter bee control, mosquito control and termite prevention. We have dealt with the Orkin Technicians Matthew, Aaron and Andy. They do what is needed to control pests in and around our home. We feel comfortable with them entering and treating our home and property when we are not home. I've had the same serviceman for years. He’s very courteous and always arrives on time. He does a great job and answers any questions. People should watch the scheduling though. It is a little dicey because it appears that Orkin’s computer system is not working well sometimes. I've had it where they forgot to call me or for some reason, I fell off and I didn't get notified until the very day. It has happened several times but I live with it because I like my service person and Orkin does its job. I don’t go online nor use their apps for anything other than to pay the bill. It’s their responsibility to send me a text or an email and let me know that Orkin is coming. And most of the time, that's how it's done.

I like the consistency and regularity of Orkin. Part of that has to do with this recent time span. I've been having the same technician and that's really helpful because over all the years, there'll be times when the technician would change because they put the person on a different route, and it happens too frequently. It is better when it's stable, and that's what I'm experiencing now. The technician usually gets a certain level of familiarity with me and vice versa, and then, we're comfortable, and that's when it's very nice. The technician I have now, we're compatible in the roles we have, and it makes it okay to have a recurring visit. Overall, I want to continue my service with Orkin.

We've had the same technician since we started using Orkin sometime in 1992 and we've always been satisfied. He will do whatever we need done. We have trouble with rodents in the wintertime and he always checks that for us. Even when we're out of town, they will do an occasional outside service if we requested. They're very accommodating to our schedule. I've found them to be very easy to work with. Prices have gone up over the years but we're happy enough to absorb whatever changes they had to make for us.

I am battling ants and Orkin has been coming out for that. It seems to be a lot better now. The technician that I have is really great. He calls me ahead of time to let me know he's coming, which I appreciate. Also, he wears a mask and puts stuff on his feet like he's supposed to and he does his thing. He takes care of anything that I have. If I've got an issue with wasps or if I've got spider webs all over the place, he takes care of that. He’s very helpful, very nice, and respectful when he's on my property.

They changed my date because they switched to a computerized scheduling program. I requested the technician that had come before and they did that. That was all worked out.

The first time we had Orkin, we were very pleased. Their tech Willy has been fantastic. He knows what he's doing. He doesn't mess around. He does the job and explains things when I have questions. We’ve used Orkin for years and we’ve never had any problems with them. We have a farmhouse in Webster and we used Orkin for the termite control. We had subterranean termites in it when we rebuilt the house and we had them treated for wood termites, and we've always had. The techs came out of a different office and it was excellent service. I have no intentions of changing and trying anybody else. I'm very satisfied with Orkin. The techs are very polite and mannerly. Over the years, we've had several different technicians and they've all been very courteous and thorough.

We've had Orkin probably for four years on this property but we used them in a property where we lived in the past. The techs are excellent, which is why we keep using them. We like them. They do a good job. The booking is perfect and we have confirmation. Sometimes the person calls before they come in. The person we've been using for four years is a fantastic guy and always provides the perfect service. Orkin knows what they're doing. So anytime we have any different insect and any different issue, they always know what to do. They will advise us which type of product we need and how to apply it, which is a big thing with that kind of product or service. So they're always very knowledgeable and always on time. Therefore, those areas along ridge cap line and other areas, wasps were gaining entrance. A family member was stung. Orkin came out immediately when I called them. They sprayed the nests and then they gave us a price to remediate the problem. The day the work was to be completed was 85 degrees & much hotter in the attic.
The 2 Orkin team members worked for 5 hours installing screening along the ridge cap line and other entry points. They were extremely professional, worked diligently to ensure all open areas were covered with screening and cleaned all the nests up. We can’t say enough good things about Orkin. We have actually use Orkin for 10 years for two different homes for other pest control needs and they have always been extremely responsive and performed excellent insect control. Many thanks!

Orkin has been servicing my home for several years. Ed, the technician, is professional, courteous, and friendly. It is easy to reschedule service if the appointed day or time is inconvenient. I did not give 5 stars because the company sent someone other than Ed for a couple of times without letting me know of the substitution. It turned out that the company sent a man who was in training. Ed told me about this when he came back. Lack of notification is not acceptable to this senior citizen.

In July Brian came to do my 3 month service, he couldn't come in the house because I was very sick. He left sticky box traps and round ant traps and got out the big hose and sprayed everything around my house. I was impressed. I've never seen anyone do that before. I was going to leave the company because money is short but the woman I spoke to worked out a deal for me. And I could make payments. I thanked her over and over. I don't want to lose Orkin, they do a wonderful job.

I did everything that I could possibly do with the ants in my kitchen and finally, I gave in and said that I needed professional assistance because it was ridiculous. My kitchen would be invaded by these little ants. I love Orkin’s services because I don't like bugs. I haven't had any problems and I like the guy that I have assigned to me. Rick was personable and he answered every question. I have pets and I was concerned about the chemicals and the cats. He has a background in chemistry and explained it to me well. I trusted him enough to give him a key to my house. I would recommend Orkin and my guy Rick. My cats like him.

Orkin had to have a sub come out for my route but he was as informed as my regular tech was about my place. He covered everything that the usual tech would. I opened an account with Orkin in 2016 because I had an issue at my house with my crawl space having rats or mice. So, they came out and took care of all those problems very well. I haven't had any repeat problems since they did the evaluation of my house on all those problem areas. So, they found all the potential problems and gave us the resolution steps to correct it. Woodpeckers decided to invite themselves into my attic last year and I had Orkin come out every other month because the activity wasn't frequent enough to say that I didn’t need monthly visits. But every other month is better. The pest services overall is pricey. I called in in between visits and they had a person out the next day to check it out and fix the guards.

My experience with Orkin has been fine. It's just the last time my Orkin guy came out, he didn't knock on my door to let me know he was here, so I didn't know he was here. I would have had him come inside and spray as well. I've had two different guys now. Usually, they're really nice when they come out, and they chat with me for a little bit, which makes me feel good. At my old house, which is where I had a different guy, the amount of bugs went down. At my current residence, I haven't had any infestations or breakouts with bugs and I want to keep it that way. I've called to schedule a spray. It was raining a lot and some of the bugs from outside started coming inside. They took care of me relatively quickly. I'm pretty pleased.

I bought a brand new home. My daughter moved in with me. She brought roaches with her. They took over my house. Zap for two years sprayed once a month, no change. Orkin came in here, three sprays, no roaches. The first spray he did embarrassed me to death. I had no clue there was that many bugs in my house. He sprayed around the crown molding around my kitchen cabinets. I swept up bugs for three days. Orkin is the best pest control place I've ever used. I just made one appointment to come every other month. They just come. My regular technician, Daniel, is a good country boy. I really like him. I let him come in if I'm not here. I leave the house and lot for him.

I set up the second time with Orkin Pest Control. I already canceled service with them 6 month ago and thought I will give them trial again. I had appointment at July 24th with technician named Tom and he not show up even not call or text. I had second appointment at August 10th with the same technician - Tom and he again not come to do service. I do not understand what a problem with that company. They cannot organize workers??? I still have ants, moths, rats....they charge $70 a month and don't do anything. Very disappointed.

I called at 11a this morning for an appointment. Like it says call before 2 for same day service. I guy told me they would be out today between 4-6. I repeated it to him twice throughout the conversation that it was today and he said yes. I rearranged my schedule and even left work early. Waited until 6 nothing. Called. They told me it was scheduled for next Tuesday. Why would I want to wait a week to get rid of mice? Duh. So much for customer satisfaction guaranteed. Very disappointed.

Killer Kate came to visit and she did what she does every month and we paid. We love Killer Kate dearly. That's why we keep going back to Orkin. We kid her all the time. Kate is her name and her initials lead to the Killer Kate designation. She's been our technician for several years. Occasionally, there have been substitutes, but we prefer her. We have always regarded the service by Kate as excellent.
From time to time, we have been somewhat annoyed by the frequency of advertising communications, by email in particular. We were sufficiently annoyed by the profusion of emails some time ago that we had our email address removed from Orkin's records. But somehow, they have sneaked back in. We would like to have fewer advertising emails. Overall, with Orkin, we get what we pay for. Some time ago, there was an effort to convert our service from once a month to once every four weeks. We recognize that as an effort to increase the business by 8% a year. We said, "We will stick with the once per month. If that doesn't suit you, we'll find somebody else."

I love Orkin's service. It works really well for us. We don't have a lot of trouble with bugs now. If we ever have a problem with something inside the house, I just have to call, and they'll come out and do whatever they need to do. We've been in this house for almost 14 years now, and I've used them since we moved here. I have no complaints about the service at all and its efficacy as well as their willingness to come out and take care of something. If it's not even my appointment time, they'll come in between.
We've probably had five different technicians in our time with Orkin, and every one of them has been extremely professional. I have a pit bull, so lots of times, people are a little nervous about a big dog like that, and they've been very good. They're very personable people. They do a good job. They don't hang out too long, where I'm like, "I wish this guy will leave now." I always knew when they were coming, either through my email or sometimes they give me a call. It was never a huge surprise that they were showing up. I've seen them do their work. They have their little brush where they get all the cobwebs down. They're very efficient.
My current technician, Shelly, is wonderful. We love Shelly. We were having trouble with the big cockroaches coming in at certain times of the year. She said, "Those little devils, they really can't survive inside your house." I didn't know that but she was right. I saw one alive and I couldn't grab it, and the next day, it was on the floor dead. She said, "You don't need to worry that your house is getting infested with them or anything. But I know they're not fun to see. If you feel like you need me to come back out or anything, just let me know." She really put my mind at ease. When I've had people who just moved to Alabama and they complain about all the bugs, I always tell them, "Well, we use Orkin. We highly recommend them. They're definitely not the cheapest service, but you get what you pay for. And they're worth it."

Eugene, the technician that's been coming out for the last few years, is excellent. He listens to us. He gives us advice. When he shows up, we know we're in good hands. A friend of mine told me his mother used to use Orkin. So, I tried them. The service was great from the start because I had a problem with little flying roaches in a rental house and they were getting in the stove. I never had roaches before. And I had a pest control lady come in there spraying every three months. But she couldn't get rid of them for me. She had do this, do that, and they're still there. So, I just called Orkin one day and they came out, and two days later, I haven't had a problem since. The tech is a great guy. He goes beyond duty to help me with any problem I got there. I'm well-satisfied with the service, I'm satisfied with his attitude and he knew what he's doing, and he gave me a lot of advice on what I needed to do to help things. And I corrected a lot of things that needed to be done there and he told me I did a great job. He looks out for me wonderfully. And I'm really well pleased with Orkin. The price is worth it for what I get.

And he was a couple of days off. So, I called to make sure he was okay. But he was. He was just busy. Orkin just comes monthly automatically. It's usually on a Wednesday, but then they let me know the approximate time that they're coming, whether it's morning or afternoon. Most of the time, it's morning. They would say between 8:00 to 10:00. And then, right before he comes, he sends a text and says, "I'm on my way." I've been through this for many years. The first one that came was back when I worked and I always put a key under the mat. And I told him to just leave the key on the hall tree, which I have right inside my entryway. Sam didn't know what a hall tree was and I had a fake greenery thing there that's about three feet tall. "Where in the world did he put that key?" He put it down at the base of that flower. They are all so jovial.
I've been retired for 10 years, so I've gotten to know about the last four that have come and I like talking to them and they laugh at my jokes. But they're really good because three visits ago, I had an onset of mice and the tech took care of that. Also, I noticed a few more of those carpenter bees. The tech sprayed for that, and in the next few days, I saw two dead ones outside. Whatever they spray for those things is wonderful. They've gotten rid of earwigs, mice, more bees and spiders. They can take care of anything. I first got Orkin because of those bees. But the first representative, I couldn't tell they did any good. But they got a good spray now and it really works.

ORKIN CONTINUES TO FAIL MISERABLY to get rid of - or even control mice in my crawl space for at least 2 years; this after paying ORKIN $12,000 to seal all openings to keep mice out and $45 monthly service ($1,000+). How can the largest world-wide pest control company NOT HAVE ANYONE WHO CAN SOLVE MY MICE PROBLEM? ORKIN has done numerous inspections, yet say they can do nothing else??? I have spent another $7,000 for two other contractors to do additional sealing; $3,000+ for my supplies; and hundreds of hours of my time to stop the almost daily mice gnawing sounds. It is extremely difficult for me to do much physical work, being handicapped and disabled, but I try because the noises are unbearable.
I believe mice have now gotten into my HVAC system ductwork since my cats go to the vents to smell them every time the system comes on. What kind of dangerous health conditions could this be causing me? It’s a waste of money to have my HVAC system decontaminated if mice continue to get into it. How can the largest pest control company NOT BE ABLE TO CONTROL MY PESTS??? I FIND THIS TO BE UNBELIEVABLE INCOMPETENCE.

Overall I have been pleased with the tech's work. I would really like to be able to be involved in the scheduling of appointments, i.e., time, date, and day. It usually seems like I am being the problem customer when I request a change when I am told the day before of the time and visit. For well over 30 years, I relied on Orkin to control insects in our homes. I started with Orkin due to a pest problem when we lived in Ohio, where insects are plentiful. My husband traveled for his job, and was not looking for more on his “to do list” when he was at home. Now we have retired in Colorado, and he needs to feel he can contribute to the comfort of our home, as well as my peace of mind. So he requested to take over any pest control issues we might have, and I am very happy that the insect here are not so invasive! Messages do not seem to get to Matt, our Orkin man. We were told not asked when our house will be treated. We were told between 8am and 11 which didn't work for us. So I spoke to someone in the office to help us to change the time to a later appointment. Apparently Matt never got the message. He arrived at 9 or so and it was no good for us to let him in. We were on our way out to the doctor. He did the outside but not the inside. There have been some bug issues which were not addressed and there was no attempt made where he would come back to address these issues. The person in the office seems lethargic and not too dependable.

My experience scheduling the service with Orkin has been up and down. It seems like if I tell customer service to do something, they lose their notes in less than a month. Most recently, someone came out to spray mosquito repellent. The technician is really courteous and very friendly. He usually goes above and beyond, as long as he gets the nod from the operations people. Pest control-wise, that is not working very well. The feedback that I get is, "Technically, you have to take into consideration the area and the increase in humidity," which ultimately kind of gives me the impression that I'm buying snake oil.

We've been using Orkin for 16 years. It's great scheduling the service with them. We haven't ever had a problem with any of the technicians that come up to the house. They've been polite and nice to deal with. They're great. They come out every three months and we always notice the difference, especially my husband. He's the one who's really afraid of spiders and anytime we have services, we see the decrease afterward. I'm so happy that the tech now is a woman. I have been using Orkin for many years now and am very pleased. Once every two months usually keeps the pests away. We have had Orkin in Michigan since 1997. Having therapy dogs we have never had problems with flies. We also had Orkin in Jacksonville North Carolina from 1991 through 1997. Again never had problem with any ant, spider or roach. We are very happy with the technical knowledge and support.

For over thirty years we have found the technicians and support staff very responsive to our needs and sometimes our wants. We have been customers of Orkin in Georgia and South Carolina. In both states we have been served with pest, termite and moisture control. Currently the moisture control barrier has fallen down, but the local branch manager has promised to see about correcting that issue. Here in South Carolina the technicians have been over ran with calls of swarming termites. Once those customers are serviced I am confident the downed barrier issue will be resolved.

35 years ago, Orkin came by and promised me that they could handle the job. So we tried them out and kept on with them. The monthly bug control guy comes in like he's supposed to, asks what kind of problems we have, then he gets busy and takes care of it. He’s a fine technician and he does a very good job. He usually comes between 8:30 and 9:00, and we don't have to do anything other than pay the man and file away the receipt. Since we’re recovering from the COVID issue, he’d been outside for now. But I’m finding more larger roaches dying than I had before he came the last time. So the pest control is taking effect like it's supposed to.

Every couple of months, Orkin comes here automatically to see about the bait that's laid out. I also had an ant problem in my kitchen because of the rain. I truly liked this particular technician that came, Carlos. I watched him and he answered all my questions. He checked all the bait stations and he also checked every living thing in this house that had not been checked for quite a while. Even if he didn't know what he was doing, he was knowledgeable. He gave me extra time. He didn't rush me and I liked that because I was very worried. I would have liked him to continue coming here, but Orkin kept changing these guys on me, and some of them were not very good. One guy came here and I wouldn't allow him near anything. He was dressed poorly and he was dirty and it was a horror. I called Michelle at Orkin about it.
There was one problem that I called about and I had spoken to somebody else, and she was terrible on the phone. I mentioned about having to have the inside of the house checked and she brought up COVID and she started telling me that some people don't have shots because they religiously don't believe in it. I asked her what does that have to do with my service. I didn't understand what she was talking about and I didn't even think she was correct. I called back and spoke with Michelle and said that I didn't know who that was. Michelle didn't want to say anything incorrect to me because she was very professional, but she knew exactly what I was talking about. She got me the right person, time, and so forth. The person that was talking about COVID didn't have anything to do with this situation.

Every couple of months, I have pest control with Orkin. I have one guy that does the lawn and one guy that sprays for the outdoor pest. They're both very excellent and attentive. The pest control guy always calls when he's on his way and he asks me if there are issues inside or out. And the guy that does the lawn, I liked him so much that I hired him to be my landscaper. He went back into the landscaping business on the side after work. He used to own a company years ago. So he's my lawn guy now. I got rid of my other guy. I trust them very much.

I've already submitted great comment for Jesus who normally comes every two months to take care of the property. I haven't seen inside pests for years. I don't even see them outside anymore. I have already recommended Orkin to three of my coworkers.

I've always had excellent service when dealing with Orkin. The service technicians are all well trained, helpful and courteous. On the rare occasions when I've had to call for a particular problem, it's quickly taken care of. I've recommended Orkin to friends.

The technician is very professional. A concern is the broad band of time the appointment you set covers. A two hour span requires that someone stay at the place of residence during that time placing other obligations on hold.

I love my Orkin tech. Her name is Shelly and she's amazing. She's been doing my service for a couple years now and she is so different than the other techs that have been out before. There was nothing wrong with them, they just went about their jobs, and the sooner they could get out, the better. But Shelly will stop, knock on the door, and with COVID, obviously taking those precautions, she stays outside. But she will ask me if I'm having any trouble with anything and if there is anything that they can do for me. She also tells me about things to look out for and goes that extra mile. You know when you get good service and when somebody really likes their job and cares about it.
Aside from that, it's really super easy to reschedule with Orkin and I've had to a couple times due to other work being done at the house. They're always really good about scheduling for when it works out for me. I really noticed the difference with them treating my pest problem every quarter. Where I live used to be cornfields and now it's kind of a new division. So we have these huge wolf spiders and they're these hairy things that if you step on them, you could probably see their legs from out underneath your shoes. They're huge and my neighbors still have issues with them but I do not. All in all, I'm super satisfied with Orkin. But, especially with COVID, the cost should remain the same when your inside is not being treated and just the outside is. When you get half the service, the price should be half the amount. But that's my only input on anything negative. Everything else is absolutely positive.

Orkin does a pest service on my house every month. It’s in the books, but I can reschedule it if I need to. My technician is a wonderful person. I also have their termite protection. I have checked the inside and I don't see pests. I recommend people to get on Domingo’s route. He’s personable and helpful.

Orkin schedules the service and I find that they have a tendency to change. One time, they were supposed to come out on a Friday but on Tuesday, I found out they were coming out on Wednesday. Then, last year, we were having problems with them changing schedules to two weeks later and then four weeks later. Hopefully, we won't have that same problem this year. The schedule changes every once in a while but as long as it’s just a couple of days from what it usually runs, then that's fine. Also, I prefer to be here but it seems like I'm never here when they need to be here. But we work it out. And using Orkin is a lot easier and convenient than doing the job yourself. I haven't seen as many wasps this year out, which is usually our biggest problem, along with the digging, wood-eating ants, which we had a problem with last year.

Orkin is proactive about scheduling. They would send me a notice and let me know that I'm on the schedule. And then if I have any questions, I can give them a call. I've done that a couple of times, because usually right around the springtime when they schedule me, they do it on a day it's supposed to rain. So I've had to move the schedule a couple of times because of rain. The guy said he checks the weather when he is scheduled to go to somebody's house. And what he tries to do, which is a good thing, is schedule inside services on rainy days, and then he would do the outside whenever it was not raining.
The guy came out a couple of days ago for mosquito control service. And then it started raining. But he said he could come back this coming week when it's drier. Because what he sprayed probably got washed off because of the rain. They did it last year and it worked out good, so I figured I’d have them try it again this year and see what it does. There was one guy before that who was iffy. But I've had three or four different people come out. But this last guy, has been out here for the last 12 months. When my scheduled service was due, he would be the same guy to come out and he has been good. Overall, it has been a good experience and a good service. The folks that come out are generally thorough, as far as taking care of the pests. And then, they send me an email identifying what types of critters they've been targeting. So far, I've been fully satisfied with what I got.

The last visit was three weeks ago. We've been on Orkin's list for four years at least. They have an office in Lincoln, and that's who we work with. We get text messages and/or an email saying that we're scheduled for such and such time. And with a response number if we can't do that. They handle it. Then they text when they're on the way. If I ever had any questions, I can call the Lincoln office and get some commentary from them, and the technicians that come to visit. They've upped their game in terms of communication to the customer. That has been positive in terms of our experience with Orkin.
We have a single family dwelling house and a separate shop outbuilding. And we have had some not major problems with ants in the spring, which is not that unusual. And we have seen that that has been damped down in terms of what has shown up the last couple of years. The treatment that they provide and how they spray outside of the house has been a factor in helping minimize that particular pest in particular. Because of COVID, we have not had heard of the technician come inside. But it has worked out okay, with the inspector doing the outside treatment, leaving sticky traps in our garages, and refreshing those when he comes, and doing the treatment outside. It has been effective in terms of us not seeing any particular inside pest.
We had a couple of wasp nests last year, exterior of the house. We haven't had the Orkin person here for a while so I called and the guy was able to schedule and was here within a day or two. He had the right equipment, knocked them down, and saved me trying to get those things taken care of. And that was the bonus to the regular scheduled service. That was a one-off type thing, and they were able to work it in and did a nice job. We appreciate the service.

We've been using the same service for 30 years. Orkin's rep is like a friend. Dwayne, the gentleman who does the service, is friendly and always on time when he says he’s coming. They recently did the interior of the house.

We have used Orkin since we had an issue with carpenter ants. And they've done an excellent job for us. The only thing we don't like is the way they do scheduling. But because they became national, it has been less satisfactory. We used to have a name and a number here in Omaha, and it was a live person. Now they would sometimes send a notice that, “This is scheduled. If this doesn't work, let us know.” Also, the techs are well-trained, but the problem is keeping them. Once a year, we've got somebody new. But once they come out, they do a good job. It's just that I got to explain things multiple times.

My experience with Orkin was very good. Steve was our technician. He comes back and he sprays everything that he's supposed to. It works great. Except I've got to call back to Orkin in getting back out. We seem to have a lot of wolf spiders crawling around that we don't need. But it’s not his fault. Every technician we've had has been great. We’ve been very lucky. All the girls up in the main office in Spokane are also great. They understand everything and they're very polite.

Orkin took over a pest control business in my area 53090 so when Orkin came out to spray for bugs the rate went up a few bucks to $93 and we have a 2500 sq ft house and the tech comes out with a CAN of bug spray. I asked the tech if they have the truck with the 55 gallon drum with a large hose to spray around my house and the tech had to call his boss. So I spoke to his boss and he said they only have one truck with this large sprayer on it and proceeded to tell me it's a hassle to get that truck and made more excuses, was rude and on top of this wanting to charge me an additional $350 for this truck. The original pest control co always sprayed around my entire house with this special truck plus the inside of my home for $89. The tech on the other hand was very kind and worked long and hard to spray my large house with a mini sprayer!

The service tech was really nice so I feel bad writing a negative review, but I called Orkin because I was having a problem with pantry moths. I realized when he showed for the appointment that I knew more about pantry moths than he did but gave him the benefit of the doubt. I know pantry moths are hard to get rid of but I have had no food in my house for 2 months so the service should have worked. Orkin guarantees their service for a month so when the problem was worse than ever I scheduled a call back. The same tech showed up for the the follow up and called another tech for advice. He was told to use a combination of two chemicals; he didn't have both so thought he could combine the two he had, but I told him I would rather he come back with the chemicals he was told to use.
I spent another 6 hours cleaning out all of my cabinets in order to spray the two chemical combo only to find out after he left (when I got the receipt via email) that he had used the chemicals he had on Thursday which were not correct. I called the office and was told they won't reschedule another call back for two weeks and that a manager won't call me back for 48 hours. I'm obviously not fired up to spend another 6 hours to clean out my cabinets for a third time and another two weeks without any food in my house because of poor service. Again, the tech was super nice but I wouldn't recommend Orkin for pest control.

The estimator was prompt and efficient. They evaluated the problem and outlined a perfectly viable solution. The plan was to check for and eliminate entry points for rats (exclusion), trap and eliminate existing intruders and replace contaminated insulation under the house. Cost was $1300.00 and I wasn't to pay a cent until after the work was completed and I was satisfied.
Soon after I signed the contract a technician began wrapping roof vents with 1/8” hardware cloth. BTW, I had already done this at my foundation, which saved them lots of time and money, but I wasn't going to quibble about price, I wanted it done. When the tech got to the a/c unit, he accidentally punctured the coil, which was a $3k fix. This occurred in June or July, 98* in the house for 3 days. The office manager was prompt about seeing to it that it an a/c co. arrived quickly the first day, but I had to remind him on the second day that we were dying in a hotbox because he couldn't get a guaranteed payment commitment to the a/c company, who refused to complete the repair. Nobody from either company informed me of this turn of events; I guess I was supposed to discover it through mental telepathy.
Late on a Friday afternoon the manager explained that he could only approve a $2500 expenditure so our repair would be delayed until he could obtain approval by the Ft. Myers office. He suggested that I give the $1300 owed to Orkin to the a/c company, who agreed to replace the unit on Saturday. This would alleviate our problem the very next day by circumventing the approval process, the a/c company got paid and we didn't fry in our own fat, so I accepted this option. (The new unit cost an additional $2100 but it's a long story as to why I agreed, so I won't torture you with it.)
I didn't see the tech again but let it be for the time being, as it was now hurricane season and unbearably hot. I didn't want to put a tech through the torture of outdoor work under those conditions only to watch the house possibly blow to pieces before November. At the end of hurricane season rats reinfested under the subfloor of the home. Christmas week rats were traipsing through my kitchen. The tech returned between Christmas and New Year's to place traps around the house. It is now early March and nobody has returned. So I paid Orkin $1300 to break my a/c unit. The end.

I have no feedback about Orkin’s Pest Control as they were SO Poorly managed we never got to that stage. We used the Burnaby / Vancouver Branch. Booked initial visit for assessment ($75) and they were on time and appropriate. 1st treatment booked for ant control, we moved all furniture and took time off work, and they did not show up. Took over 24 hours to get a call back for an explanation and to rebook. 2nd appt for treatment booked a week later, so all furniture / drapes etc. moved back to live for a week and moved again for treatment. More time off work. They did not show up, furniture cleaned up again.
3rd appointment for treatment booked another week later. Move all of the furniture in 1500 square feet, 2 feet from the wall again. More time off work. The technician showed up but had absolutely no clue what had been planned or discussed at the initial assessment visit. He was going to spray outside in the pouring rain, when the treatment planned was for inside. Even with instructions he did not seem to know he was doing in the house. We complained and to be fair the Company did not charge us for the treatment and reimbursed the $75 for the initial visit. A few days later Orkin called us to ask if they could “start over”, come out to reassess again and “do thing properly”. We thought, “People make mistakes, let's be charitable and try to work with them”. Guess what...THEY DID NOT SHOW UP.

I called because we had a lot of tiny sugar ants in our house and they were not going away. We got the one time fee of $600 or so and the ability to call them back for free for a month if the ants were not gone. The first time they came they sprayed the inside of our house and put gel down where the ants were coming in. Some of the ants were coming from a crack in the side of our mirror cabinet in the bathroom and when I asked if they could do anything else to stop the ants from coming in through the mirror they said no. I knew what they did probably wouldn't fix the problem. The customer service on the phone assured me that they would fix our problem and I was doubtful by this point. Almost 2 weeks later and the ants were not gone.
They came 2 more times and nothing they did worked to get rid of the ants. I called for a refund and they refused to give me a full refund but gave me a half refund. I'm pretty sure their website lies with their "money back guarantee" because they did not do that. I ended up buying ant poison powder and spraying it in the crack of the mirror and they have been gone ever since. I also sprayed the powder in the crack of our windowsill where they were coming out. All gone and I did a better job myself by researching what to do than Orkin did for $300.

I originally hired Orkin for pest control due to my neighbors unsanitary living conditions. At 1st it seemed to help but then the same pest would come back even worse. I would still have to pay out of pocket expenses on top of it kind costs. So why continue to pay for their services. After paying them almost 700 dollars I cancelled my services dad 17th 2020. I was told I would receive my refund within 10 business days. It is now Jan 5th 2021 and still no refund. However on my Orkin account and also when I called the customer service again it showed a refund was made.
Also I cancelled my services months ago and they continued to charge my account even with praying I cancelled in their records. This is when I called again to talk to management. I even waited longer than 10 days to recontact them due to the holidays. I never write reviews but I now feel this company are crooks and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Still haven't got my money back.

My initial call was great! Customer service informed me of the services and charges. 176.00 first 2 months then 42.00 a month after. First two month tech will come out several times to make sure treatments are taking. This is not what I got! I got tech came out once... I had to call for a 2nd service because I’m still setting bugs. 2nd time came out sprayed only certain rooms on the inside. Did not treat the outside. He came out a 3rd time to finish what he didn’t complete the 2nd time. Guess, what? I’m still seeing big crawling around at night. What of her spraying? Water. The tech, "No worries. I’ll be back on the 15th." You guessed it, no show. Still seeing bugs.
Then wake and my account is charged $42. Why? According to Tech and Csr this was supposed to take place during the 3rd month. It’s been 1 month, literally 31 days. Oh him sprinkling some white powder near the power strip in one room and spraying a solution around the perimeter of the bedroom rooms. He did treat the sockets, acting up high, or the furniture. Terrible service. And they charge whatever they want then tell after that it was for a service... Orkin is crap. The promotion they a running about "If you still see bugs between treatments we will give you your money back." Lies! But they will charge you. I cancelled it all. I am so dissatisfied with the National brand. They do not deliver what they advertise.

Here are some of the highlights of my experiences with your London Ontario office. This is how you're being represented in London. Understand I'm talking about multiple agents, and at least one manager.
-Cancelled first treatment over a closet 9 feet from my son's bed (they stay within 5 feet of hosts).
-Told me when I was pretty sure I had 15 bedbugs that it would take 6 months of treatments; that was about 6 months ago and I still have them.
-Multiple treatments scheduled and prepped for, and then cancelled (seeing bites, bugs and bug poop).
-Gloves used to apply insecticide left on floor for my cat to find and chew on.
-2 different items ripped.
-My mattress across the room, on the floor, had been clear; infested thereafter.
-Bugs spread and increased in # after most treatments (I was tracking them).
-Cardboard covered glue trap wedged under my heater, risking fire.
-Implied I had Cockroaches, and lied about cleanliness and prep I'd done.
-Applied spores ONLY to baseboards, first time with them; I asked if I should be steaming furniture more than once and was told "no"; "bedbugs travel along baseboards 100% of the time" the agent said, defending his actions.
-Has cost me $700-800, just including laundry, replacement steamer, bags and bed.
-I recently gave up on my bed, because 2 months after first spores (after other treatments), I still had 10 in it; I bought that this past summer, so I could sleep without pain.
A manager came in, and there was no apology or accountability for things done. Instead, he indicated he thought we'd seen great service. And then he implied that I did not have bedbugs and therefore did not need another treatment. This has been done a few times now: refusing to treat if they don't find a live bug (they hide). Their website boasts that if they need to re-treat, they'll do it for free... The first agent to come here said 6 months, and that has been my experience. 6 months with bedbugs feels like a REALLY long time. It really shouldn't take more than one or two treatments, unless you have a severe infestation.

After initially working to address the rodent problem we were having, they have missed 6 straight appointments. When they contact me they always say they are sorry and will schedule another appointment but with 6 missed appointments, the rodent problem is coming back. Disappointment does not even start to express what I am feeling.

I am very dissatisfied with this company. I scheduled an appointment and was given a 3 hour window. Not only did I take time off to make sure I’m available, they NEVER showed up. No phone call alerting me that they could not make it either. This is so unprofessional & a total waste of my time to say the least. To add fuel to the fire, when I called to get a reason why no one showed up, the poor sweet lady apologized & told me the main office closed but she will send a message to the office and they will contact me the next day. For a big company, they should really be ashamed of themselves. Unless you have time on your hands & wouldn’t mind taking a chance wondering if someone would show up or not, if I was you look elsewhere & don’t waste your time. I know my time is valuable as I am a very busy person & on top of it I’m trying to sell my house & get it ready before closing. TOTAL WASTE OF MY TME. YES, I’m very upset.

I saw mice in my house. It took 7 phone calls to get a response. When the problem came back. 8 days to get service. 4 calls to Bensalem office and 2 to the main. On Thursday I was stood up and now I have to wait till Monday!!!

I was told that I had mice in my attic. I called Orkin. Before they would even come out I was required to pay then 296.00. I was told an Technician would be at my home that afternoon. He was not. Another person called and was there the next day. That was Saturday. On Monday I called the contact number supplied on the paperwork the technician gave me and was on hold for 27 minutes. I hung up and called a number listed on their website for service and was on hold for an additional 22 minutes. The next day I called and lied saying that I wanted new service. I was connected to Dave. He said he would send an email request for service and that I should get a service call that same day. I did not.
The next day I sent a text to the original technician that put traps in my house. I asked if he was a person I could contact for service. He said he was and an appointment for today Friday October 2nd between 12 and 2 was agreed upon. He did not show up nor did he contact me that he wasn't going to. I had a 3 business day window to cancel my contract. That is obviously past and I have not in any stretch of the imagination received any value for the 349.35 that was charged to my credit card. That amount was the initial service plus one month fee for ongoing service. Needless to say I am EXTREMELY unhappy with Orkin Pest Control.

Wishing so much I'd have read a review before calling Orkin Pest Control as after 2 treatments which were paid upfront, they billed for a service not rendered, replaced that amount back into our account and are now billing for that again. Service was cancelled due to their billing issues and they sent someone out, unscheduled, to spray anyway. #'s listed to call do not go through and email requests for service do not get a response.

Despite being a customer for 20+ years, the level of overcharging and inaccurate billing in the last two years is too much. I just replaced Orkin at my two homes with Paramount. I've called (no one EVER returns a call), left messages and raised issues but nearly every month there is a major error in Orkin's favor with a bill. Enough. State consumer agencies need to take a look.

I scheduled my home to be spayed for ants. I got a call an hour before they were supposed to show up saying they had no one in the area and would have to reschedule. So instead of making it happen they chose to inconvenience me. They use a call center that doesn't know where the technicians are. We found another (local) company who could come come by same day and were almost 20% cheaper.

The spraying service is ok.. But.. you don't get the phone calls you are told you will get... Customer service leaves a whole lot to be desired... No matter who you talk to or how many times you talk to that same person all you seem to get is runaround. Have had.. personally.. 4 different servicemen to show up to do a spraying service that was canceled weeks before. This company has an utter lack of communication with its workers and its customers!

In July 2020 Orkin did a heat treatment on our house for bedbugs. The tech was incredibly nice. He guaranteed the heat treatment would kill the bugs. The process was very quick. We could not come back into the house that night due to the heat. 3-4 days later bugs were still crawling ALL OVER THE HOUSE. You could not sit on the living room furniture without getting bit. The furniture has been thrown out. We vacuum every day-floors & furniture. Orkin has so far come back twice to spray the house. A third visit has been set up as we still have bugs. I asked if another heat treatment could be done & was told no. We have spent $3400 for this. This is very upsetting & we feel like it's a losing battle with Orkin pretty much not doing what we were guaranteed they would do. They do however send emails telling us we can get a discount on termite or mosquito spraying. This is a terrible way to live. I would not recommend Orkin.

We had Orkin come out for a possible termite infestation. The guy said we definitely had a termite problem and moisture in our basement that was causing the termite problem. Quoted us $4000+ to get an industrial dehumidifier and treat the termites, without the dehumidifier it was $2000+. We had other quotes and the other companies said we have carpenter ants, not termites. $650 for one year and will also kill spiders, bees, wasps, mice, etc. Orkin is a bunch of liars and thieves!!!! We are going with Fox Pest Control!
