My order was taken for office furniture a month ago. My credit card was charged and I was given an order confirmation number. I received a notice a week or so ago that said my order was in route. Today, I was notified that the furniture that I ordered was not in-stock. The representative acted as though the company had done everything right. They were able to gain interest on the money I paid a month ago and still not provide the goods. I checked my credit card and no refund has been issued. The whole transaction in hindsight appears fraudulent. I wondered why the same furniture was about $800 more on another website. Now I know why. Some things are really too good to be true. Never again.

I'm always reluctant to purchase high dollar items online and have them shipped, but Goedeker's puts me at ease with their return policy and with their satisfaction guarantee. I've purchased a double oven and a cooktop from this site; not only were both appliances $300-400 less than anywhere else I could find, but they both work incredibly well. (I can preheat my oven in 5 minutes and boil a stock pot full of water in 2, and it makes my mother jealous.)

The item was on back order for a short time, but once in stock shipped very quickly. Arranging delivery time was very easy and the delivery company was friendly and helpful. My oven arrived in perfect condition and we are very happy with the entire experience.

I ordered my appliances in April 2016. My experience with Goedeker's white glove delivery went as bad as possible. They showed up hours late for my delivery. They were supposed to be at my home between 2 and 6 pm, and showed up at 10 pm without a phone call. They then tried to leave my appliances in the garage and not bring them in the house. I explained that I paid extra and they had to bring them in. They gouged my wall and destroyed my stairway. When I pushed the refrigerator in the next morning I found large scratches in my brand new wood floor. I called Goedeker's the next day and was told that it was not their fault. They hire an outside company for delivery, therefore I have to deal with them.
I then started the process of trying to get the repairs paid for. I had to submit two separate estimates. One was for $950.00 and the other was for $1185.00. The company had me do a lot of other things like submit notarized statements which cost time and money. They did everything they could do just to make me give up. They finally told me that they would only give me $150.00 because that's all they figured it was worth. I finally settled on $300.00 because I figured something was better than nothing after fighting with the company for four months. They still did not send me a check and after weeks I called and told them that I would be getting an attorney. It then took over 2 weeks to finally get my check for $300.00.
From start to finish dealing with Goedeker's and their delivery company was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend them to anyone. I saved some money originally, but It ended up costing me hundreds of dollars in repairs. Goedeker's does not stand behind their products or their delivery service. I should have never had to deal with their delivery service. They hired their delivery company, I did not. They should have paid for my repairs and took the money from their delivery service.

I’m very upset with Goedeker's. I bought an electric cooktop. We were not at home for the delivery so I had to go there and pick it up. I called and asked but they could not come on the time I said and I had to wait for three days to pick it up. Their guy has to come three times and if he doesn’t see me, I can come and pick it up so it took longer than I thought. If they had a delivery system, I could request them to hold but they didn't. Also, they don’t know how to safely mail the stuff. The installation guy came and installed everything, then I figured out it was damaged. If I call them, they’ll just send me another new piece but they are not going to deliver it for free. If they’re not gonna do anything, I’m not gonna buy anything else from them in the future.

Firstly, people need to realize that this company is a deeply discounted retailer and with this there are some shortcomings. Think of Southwest airline. My delivery of appliances took more than two months which worked fine for me as my renovation was delayed. In between, I lost two really good rebates since I did not have a serial number to submit the paperwork. All appliances came. I was not there to receive the appliance with the concierge service but all seems to be fine. Hopefully, appliances will work once I plugged them next month but for now I am a satisfy customer. I just need to get the rebates in. The customer service is really good over the phone. They are patient and very thorough. I am not saying this because I was judge to leave reviews but they really try to help out the customer.

I bought a sofa and paid $49.00 for the "room of choice" delivery. When the sofa is delivered they wanted to charge me per step to take it to the second floor for a total of an additional $80.00. I told them I wanted to refuse the sofa but they said it would be $300.00 to ship it back. First time buyer with this company. Very bad experience.

A friend first told me about Goedeker’s and we've already purchased from them a bunch of times. The cost in relation to the quality is very good, which is why we keep going back to Goedeker’s. And with the exception of the one that we're still having issues with, I feel good about the quality of our purchases. We had major issues with our most recent purchase. The freezer that we bought is still sitting in the middle of my living room after two months of not working. They have been out to fix it multiple times. They were supposed to come pick it up. It has been a nightmare. It's been frustrating, but at this point, we have been working with Goedeker’s and they're trying to get it resolved for us. I'm a little disappointed, but it's not totally their fault.

I ordered a bedroom set for my son and the chest of drawers had a flaw in the finish so I called the salesman who was very helpful. He sent me replacement drawers. When they finally arrived, the drawers were missing all hardware including the rails on the side for putting them back into the chest. So then, they sent me the rails separately, expecting me to assemble them. Goedeker's blamed Ashley Furniture for all of this. In the end they gave me some money back for my hassle, but they won't be getting my business again.

They called about an hour away, drove home and they were waiting for me. Put the micro/oven in my garage and waited for the installer. I purchased a refrigerator and a stove from Goedeker's a year ago. I wanted a drop in stove, but by mistake I ordered a slide in stove. My fault. I had to pay return shipping of approx $400. But the stove was still slightly cheaper even after paying for return shipping. My refrigerator arrived perfect. I was a little worried because you have to inform Goedeker's if there are any problems with what you purchased within a few days and since my kitchen was not completed I really didn't want to unwrap the appliances. But it was perfect, no flaws or imperfections.

I didn't hear back if it had shipped so I called again.
The woman I spoke with was rude and said it shipped and I should hear something next week and might get it next week. She didn't know because they didn't do the shipping - what? Since when do you purchase something to be shipped and the seller decides that once it leaves their place they aren't responsible. I just canceled an order I place online on Goedeker's. I created an account and placed a $500+ order on a dining set. After placing the order it thanks someone else (different name) for the order. Of course I was wondering what was going on at that point. After I got out of that screen it took me to another screen that showed me at least 10 orders of other people! I could click on each individual order and see exactly where it went, what was ordered, purchaser's name, address, method of payment, etc. I was shocked!
I logged out and attempted to log back in and was unable because it kept telling me the email was not found. Logged into my email and never got a confirmation from them. At that point I panicked and emailed every email address I could find for Goedekers. I also sent them a message on FB. Lastly, I opened up a dispute with PayPal. By the next morning they refunded my money back to PayPal, which is still pending.
Please don't do business with this company. Your personal information is at stake! I did receive a phone call from their customer service regarding the refund and I explained what happened and apparently this has been going on for awhile because they knew exactly what I was referring to & the lady who called me didn't seem to care and when I told her that was ILLEGAL she didn't seem the least bit concerned. I purchased an Avanti Stove August of 2015. It was damaged on the top surface inside a perfect box so it was damaged before it was shipped. It took three months to receive the new part. Once I installed the stove, the oven would not light. After a couple failed appointments, A tech arrived and said it had a defective switch, a common problem. To date I have had this non-functional stove for 4 months. I was forced to buy a nice Hotpoint and removed the Avanti. Goedeker's has not offered any refund or replacement, just provided hollow promises that it will someday be repaired under warranty. They seem to have zero concern for my situation and concern that the appliance I bought does not work. Just hold tight another few months and we'll take care of it. After bringing in specific measurements for a dishwasher, Jai, the sales rep, convinced us to purchase a more expensive model. We accepted this because he assured us that it would fit our needs / space requirements. Upon receipt of appliance, installer spent two hours wasting his time because there was no chance that this was going to fit. When he called the store to explain situation, the salesperson blatantly lied and said we had never supplied him with the dimensions we needed.
We have tried to resolve this issue with the store through several avenues, many attempts to contact supervisors / managers and have received no response to date. We are going on almost two weeks. For a store that is focused on satisfaction being guaranteed, and promoting Christian ethics, I find their lack of professionalism quite disturbing. Think twice before entering these doors. At the end of May, we ordered a new french door refrigerator from Goedeker's because of their advertised Christian ethics and practice. On the day of delivery 3 weeks later, the delivery men came into the house immediately saying, "we'll never get that in this house; it's too big." With our split foyer home and bushes out front, we suggested to come up back steps to the deck and directly in the kitchen door. After much angst, and unpleasant conversation, the delivery men took the new refrigerator away and left our old (working refrigerator) in the garage where they'd taken it to make room for the new one. Told me to call the store and set up a new delivery date or to order a smaller refrigerator. Subsequently we took out a bush in the front and had delivery set up for the following weekend. When it was delivered, they bulldozed it into the house and to the kitchen making several dents and scratches not only on the drywall, but on the refrigerator itself.
We counted 9 different places on the refrigerator that were damaged. The delivery men pointed out 2 of them including 3 dents in the front door. Said they would order a new door and replace for free. My husband signed off on the inspection, but later when polishing it up, found all the areas of damage and was outraged. When talking to the customer service person, we were told we would need to take photographs and write a letter explaining all the problems and submit to the company.
After this was done, my husband took the letter and photos personally to the store and was offered $150 rebate. He was also assured the replacement door would be coming soon. After 3 more weeks with no information, we called to check on the door, and were told they couldn't find the order. It was re-ordered and it took another 2 weeks to receive it and get it installed by a technician. Needless to say, we are very disappointed with the service we received and would not recommend anyone ever use Goedeker's. We certainly would never return.

We ordered a whirlpool dishwasher model number wdf76. Our customer p.o. number is **. When our contractor opened the box it was shipped in, it was noted that the front part of the dishwasher was cracked/broken as if it had been dropped. We immediately contacted Goedeker's where our customer service rep stated that our contractor should have checked the product at the store first and then tried to give us a dishwasher from their warehouse (not even close to the one we ordered). Our contractor argued stating that the clients ordered that dishwasher for a reason and that was the one they wanted. He also stated that there should be no reason to have to open the shipping box at the store if it was transported correctly.
After a long-winded conversation with this argumentative sales rep, a new dishwasher was placed on order. The sales rep then proceeded to tell us he would only deliver curbside (which we live on a gravel road in the woods). We told him that was impossible and he would have to deliver to the actual house as well as pick up the broken one. After more arguing that was established to have it delivered and the old one picked up. About a week and a half later, we receive an email that the washer should be in in 72 hours. We waited 72 hours then contacted Goedeker's. They said they would check and call us back that night. No call was received (pretty much part for the course at this point).
We called again the next day (the day that delivery was supposed to happen)... Nobody knew anything, they didn't know why we didn't receive a call and had no way to "get delivery on the books" at this time. We set up another delivery time and date. This is where it has been left. We decided to go with Goedeker's because of the company values and mission statement. We will never use them again since it has now been 3 weeks and we are still without a dishwasher which has delayed the completion of our kitchen renovation. They use a very cryptic shipping system where you get all kinds of emails alerting you of changes in status such as "Pre-Received", "Getting Ready to Ship", "In Transit to Carrier" which is just a stall tactic and means you aren't getting your appliances yet and are going to wait another week.
When I placed the order, they said the shipping carrier would call me the week of delivery to schedule a delivery time. This actually meant they would call you and tell you when you needed to be home, whether it worked for you or not. I didn't push back and rearranged my work schedule to get home early and meet them. I started unhooking my appliances the evening before. They call at 9 PM the night before to say they had a "driver injury" and couldn't deliver, so they said they gave me a new date and 4 hour window for delivery. I rearrange my work schedule again, and put all my old appliances back in place. The 2nd delivery date comes, and they call again saying they can't find a driver to deliver. At this point I'm getting increasingly frustrated, but I move my schedule around again and meet them.
The 3rd delivery date comes and this time, they don't cancel so I assume it's going to happen. I even call them the morning of, just to make sure, and they confirm that they will be delivered. I take off of work early to meet them, arrange for a friend to help me unhook and uninstall all my old appliances again, and wait for them. 2 hours into the delivery window, the shipper calls to tell me that their drivers have reached their maximum limit for the day, so they won't be coming. At this point, I am furious, as I have wasted enough of my time trying to meet up with them, and now I have to reinstall all of my freaking appliances. They tell me they can arrange another attempt for delivery at a future date, and say they'll come at 12 PM, meaning I would have to take off work yet again and go through the same hassle.
I told them I'm not willing to take any more time off work, so they need to give me the later delivery time. They refuse and say 12 is the only time. At this point, I tell them to forget it, if they miss 3 deliveries, I don't want the appliances and am cancelling my order. I call Goedeker's and tell them the situation with the shipper, and tell them I want a refund. The woman says I would be responsible for hundreds of dollars in return shipping costs, even though I never received the products. I told her that is unacceptable as I never received the appliances and they have missed 3 deliveries. I argue with her and she is unwilling to refund my money, so I tell her to forget it, I'll take it up with my credit card company to dispute the charge. That is where I am currently. You're better off going to Lowe's or Home Depot and getting a firm ship date from a reputable business.

Don't be fooled by their website. I ordered an entire kitchen set of appliances in March. Items were delivered in April. Two weeks after installation, the ice maker in the refrigerator went out. I called Goedeker’s, they told me to call GE, then GE told me to call Goedeker’s again. After going back and forth, I was told the refrigerator would be repaired shortly. In late June I called to check the status and was told no claim had been filed. At this time, I was referred back to GE because Goedeker’s said I was past the 30 day period. A month later repair tech shows up, can't fix it, and says he'll be back with more parts in about three weeks. I called today and asked Goedeker’s about the "Satisfaction Guarantee." I was informed that this does not apply to appliances that have been installed. So, essentially, when I plugged in the refrigerator to see if it worked out of the box, the guarantee was void. Still waiting on repair or replacement.

We spent over six thousand dollars stocking our kitchen with their appliances and have had issues with the double ovens and refrigerator. They directed me right away to the manufacturer after only having these appliances for six months. We had an issue with a range hood and Lowe's exchanged it right away. They also promise "fast" delivery but we did not experience this. They were late which delayed our cabinet maker's work. If you are looking to save money you may be better off spending a little more for customer service and ease of returning products that are defective to begin with!

Ordered a water cooler to be delivered to my physical residence. Since we are rural, our billing address is a P.O. Box. I get an e-mail stating that the company does not deliver to a P.O. Box. I reply that I didn't order to the P.O., I ordered to my physical address. So I get a call from the company and spoke to a person who argues with me about my physical address not being associated with my credit card (which it is). Finally she concedes to ship. The next day, the shipping department calls me at work, and says, "We can't ship to a P.O." I tell them that I had already talked with ** and she was supposed to have cleared the shipment. "Oh OK, sorry, we'll check."
Next day I get an e-mail from someone in their billing deparment that tells me they cannot ship the item because they do not ship to P.O. Boxes. I'm getting pretty steamed by now, so I call the guy up and tell him what I've already gone through trying to get the shipment approved. So, later in the day, I get a notice that the item has shipped, but there is no tracking available for a full week.
Finally a week later I get a call from a shipping company 300 miles away, saying they want to schedule a delivery a week later, but they want us available to sign for the shipment between 8 AM and 5 PM, which is impossible because my wife and I work 30 miles from home. I told the shipping company they would have to be coming through the large town where my office is anyway, and it would make more sense to deliver it to my office. They called Goedeker's for approval. Goedeker's said "NO."
Then, they called me the next day, and I got in a big fight with them. I informed them I had read these reviews on their company, and that I would never order from them again. I told them I had had enough and wanted them to refund my purchase. They refused. So I've filed a dispute with Discover Card. I will order the same product from a better known vendor, they will send me tracking info immediately, and they will deliver the item promptly -- the way a transaction SHOULD go!

I'm not the kind of person that likes to complain, nor take the time to write bad reviews, but my experience with this company was so bad, I thought I should warn everyone. Do not order anything from this company. They refuse to tell the truth. We recently ordered a Speed Queen washer and I have been overwhelmed with confusing emails, endless telephone calls with each person telling me a different story. We tried to cancel the order today since the washer had not left their showroom and they refused to let me cancel my order. I offer to pay a restocking fee and they said “no way.”
I spoke to ** in customer service and ** - both very rude and would not let me cancel the order. Very shifty people and extremely dishonest. I have never experienced anything like this... I finally had to call Visa and dispute the charge, which if you have ever had to do that, it is another long hassle of filling out paperwork, logging your every communication with the vendor, sending in emails from Goedeker's, just more hassle. My story is way too long to write out here. Just do not order anything from this company unless you like a really big hassle.

The customer service department has no clue and doesn't care about providing good service since Goedeker's does not pay a decent wage. Fast food companies pay more and have better working conditions. I ordered a refrigerator from your company over the phone on April 4th via phone sales, order #**. I specifically asked the salesperson did the white-glove include full set-up and install and he said it did so I placed my order. My refrigerator was scheduled to deliver on yesterday, April 20, between the hours of 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. The delivery driver called me at 7:48 to say he would not be arriving until almost 10 p.m. I explained to them that I was happy with them coming that late as I get up early and my husband, who is a police officer, would already be gone for work. The driver was very rude and basically told me either I could take the refrigerator then or have to wait until they could redeliver. I asked when that would be and he said he didn't know. The office would contact me in a week or so. Needless to say I was unhappy about the situation but left with no choice but to wait for the delivery.
The drivers showed up at 9:25 p.m. finally. They unloaded the refrigerator and left the packaging in my driveway. I later asked them were they taking it and they said no. They then brought the refrigerator into my home. I asked them about connecting it and installing it and they told me that they did not cover that. As I explained, the salesperson told me that this was all covered under the white gloved service so you can imagine my dismay to be told by the delivery men this was not the case. I was already upset about the almost 2 hour delay, so to have this issue as well caused me even more distress. I was forced to try and install and unpackage this huge refrigerator on my own last night. I still have not finished the process.
This morning I contacted the customer service desk and spoke to **. I explained to her the frustrations that I had experienced with the whole situation. I also explained that I was told by the salesperson that my appliance was to be installed and because it was not I should be refunded the $99 white glove fee that I was charged. She put me on hold for several minutes and came back and told me that I did, in fact, get the white glove service but because I was misinformed by the salesperson they would refund me half of the white glove charge. I told her this was unacceptable and requested a full refund, again she put me on hold. She came back again and said her manager said no. They would not refund the entire $99. I then asked to speak to the manager and she refused. I cannot begin to tell you how upset I was at this point.
I then called the actual store to see if I could get this situation rectified. I spoke to ** and explained the situation yet again. She told me that she knew the salesperson that I spoke with and there was no way he would have told me that. She actually said that to me 4 different times. I explained to her that clearly it would be my word against the salesperson and it seemed pointless to continue to explain to her what happened. She said she could try and pull the call but eluded that it was highly unlikely to be able to be accessed. I then told her I was thoroughly disgusted with the whole experience with both Goedeker's and AM Home Delivery and asked about returning the refrigerator. She told me to return it I would have to pay over $500 in delivery fees, which at this point I am seriously debating.
My husband is a 24 year disabled military veteran and we have lived all over the world. This by far is THE WORST experience I have ever had in dealing with a company. I will ensure that I post this experience on ever social media and military friendly site that I can. I am frustrated almost to the point of tears and the saddest part is that as I have taken the time and written this complaint in hopes that Steve Goedeker would be able to address proper customer service etiquette with their staff. Based on all of these experiences I feel that nothing will come of this.
I received the following: "I am sorry about the problem you had with the delivery of your refrigerator. White glove delivery includes setup of the appliance in your home. We offer 2 levels of delivery which is curbside where the company drops it off on the curb and the customer then has to take it from there, and many customers take this option. The white glove option is where the delivery company will bring it into the home, unbox the unit and set in place. This is what we paid the delivery company to do and it appears as though this is what they did. It appears the difference is the understanding of what setup means. This is what is on our website regarding delivery:
Curbside Delivery brings the products to your curb or to the mouth of your driveway. There is no additional charge for Curbside Delivery beyond any standard shipping charges. Curbside Delivery is available within the continental 48 states. It does not include unpacking, placement, installation, or plugging in of the products. White Glove Delivery is only $99** for your entire order, in addition to any standard shipping charges. This service includes in-home delivery, unboxing of products, and placement in the room of your choice. It is available in the continental 48 states. It does not include installation or plugging in of the products.
Once again I am sorry for the issue and want you to be happy and always want to be fair with our customers. It appears the delivery is what we paid the company to do. What would you feel is fair? Thanks and God Bless." - Steve Goedeker. This in no was addressed my many concerns and I am so distressed by this whole situation. I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE.

I spent many thousands of dollars buying new appliances for a remodel and in almost all instances received damaged items. My remodel ran behind schedule (as they often do) and the items were not unpacked immediately. This company used the timing as an excuse to avoid responsibility for sending damaged items. The majority of what I purchased was SUPPOSED to be new (though almost all of it was at least slightly damaged). I received a 'new' dishwasher that looked as if it had been dropped from a forklift and a 'new' double oven with scratched sides.
I spent hundreds of dollars on a warming drawer and cooktop that were slightly marked down as scratch and dent items, only the condition was misrepresented online and when I called to confirm. I received a new washer and dryer that appear okay, but the hookup kits I purchased at the same time were not even shipped until much after my appliances were delivered, so I had to repurchase those. I would not recommend purchasing anything here unless you are local and can go to the store yourself and verify that you are getting what you are paying for.

I was not in a particular hurry but needed to know as our kitchen is being remodeled. I ordered them 2 months before I needed them. Goedekers told me they had no control over the shipping.
I did receive the appliances 1 week before they were needed. They were dropped off from a rental truck by 2 men not in uniform that could not speak fluent English. Fortunately nothing was damaged. The conversation I had with Goedekers about when I could expect delivery was 6 weeks after I had placed the order. I was told they could not even tell me what the latest date would be to receive my order (my credit card had already been charged). I would not order from them again unless I could wait up to 3 months. The upside is that I did get the order before it cost me money delaying my contractor and the reps from Goedeker were polite and apologetic even if they could not give me information or assurances about the order.

We ordered over $4,000 in appliances and had nothing but problems getting delivery. There was something wrong with 2 out of 4 appliances and they had to be returned. One of those still had problems on the second attempt. During this process, they took no steps to expedite the replacements despite our requests, so that almost 2 months after our purchase, one of our appliances only just arrived. Only then - when our installers (a separate company) began putting in this replacement dishwasher along with the microwave we had ordered originally - did it become apparent that the microwave won't work in the space.
When I tried to arrange a return, Goedeker's informs me that because our original delivery date was more than 30 days ago (despite the fact that the delay was on them, not me), they wouldn't take the microwave back. Now I'm stuck with a $1,000 GE Advantium I cannot use. I went with this company based on good online reviews, but based on my experience, they do not deserve those. Come to find out that Goedekers logistics sent it to the wrong shipper and then we had to wait another 11 days before they could get it to the right shipper and back out for delivery.
We had to delay our kitchen installer and not have a kitchen to cook in for 11 more days. The only thing Goedeker's offered was to redeliver and we take the boxes ourselves or wait for the "white glove" service 11 days later. On January 28, 2015 we placed an order for all the appliances for our new condo. A couple of weeks after placing my order we were informed that the dishwasher washer was back ordered and the order would be delayed a week, but all of our other appliances were in stock. The dishwasher shipped on February 20th so we thought we would have our appliances by the first week in March (that would provide for 10 days to get the dishwasher to the carrier that delivers the appliances). I travel for work, so I put my travel schedule on hold for the first two weeks of March. We called Goedeker's and was told the appliances were on schedule to be delivered the first week of March and was then told to call the carrier that would be delivering the appliances, A1 Distribution.
When we called A1 Distribution the first week of March we were told the dishwasher had not been delivery yet, but that it would be there that week and delivery of the appliances would be on the second week of March. A call on the second week of March to A1 we were told the dishwasher was there and that they were waiting on the refrigerator to be delivered. I am now gone all week for work because of lies from both Goedeker's and A1 Distribution and maybe they will be ready to deliver the appliances the third week of March.
So it has been more than six week since we placed the order with Goedeker's and here is what we have. Charges in full on our credit card ($6,500), nothing but a new story why they cannot deliver our appliances, and we have lost $140 in rebates because we did not have the serial numbers to submit prior to the deadline. We are waiting on the dishwasher to get our final inspection for plumbing and electrical. All inspections have to pass prior to us moving in. We are ready to move into the condo and now have to pay another month of rent because of one issue - Goedeker's not delivering. Any saving we thought we were saving by purchasing from Goedeker's has been lost many times over. We will never use Goedeker's again, wait we have not used them yet as the appliances have yet to be delivered.

The refrigerator came within 2 weeks, which I think is good time for a freight-shipped item. When the fridge arrived, it was brand new in the box, which was flawless. When the delivery guys cut the straps and opened it, there was a small ding on the freezer door. I called Goedeker's, and they sent a new freezer door out. Things happen in shipping, so I understand, but the mishap was handled professionally, reasonably, and quickly. I was very thankful this all turned out like it did. Based on this purchase, I'd order from Goedeker's again.

Placed an order in the amount over $3,600 on 11/27. Received a notification that one item within the order (I had four) shipped on 12/18. Today is 12/29, but haven't heard a word from them. The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. I am sorry for them because it was obvious they were getting calls from other customers wondering where their stuff were. Their tone of voice was as if a parrot were speaking. Tried to cancel the order because I could buy them and get them delivered today from nearby stores, and they asked me to pay $480. Remember this name, and never do business. Read other people's reviews. You will see mine is not an outlier.

The turn over is big because they do not pay decent wages and the place is very dirty. The family members work there and are dishonest, although they claim to be Christians. Buy from big box stores or any other place because this company does not stand behind their products. There is a lot of damaged deliveries because they ship the cheapest way. The trucking firm is not concerned with loading expensive products in a careful manner. The customer ends up paying for the damage.

I have been looking for an electric fireplace for over a month. In this time I have seen several advertised by Goedeker's on Craigslist online from $199 for a smaller unit to $299 for the larger. I called the store about one last month and was told it was no longer available, however they had several others available at a much higher price. I continued my search. On Sunday, October 19th 2014 I found one on the Goedeker's website. My husband and I drove out to Ballwin to look at it. When we arrived we found the store to be closed on Sundays.
Back at home Sunday evening I decided to go ahead and purchase the fireplace online. I completed the sale and called first thing Monday morning to find out when it would be delivered. I was told I would receive a call on Thursday to set up a day and time. My husband scheduled the day off on Friday so he could bring the fireplace inside.
Late Monday afternoon I received a call that the price was made by error and I should not have been able to check out and pay through my PayPal. The price was $1,299 not $299. I was told if I still wanted the item I needed to pay the additional $1,000. Since Goedeker's is constantly advertising different fireplaces on Craigslist for $299, I informed the owner if he was not going to honor the closed sale I would be willing to take a different fireplace at that price. The only thing he was willing to do after a few emails was to sell the original item to me for $699 more than twice the price of the sale. I do not believe the store ever sales the fireplaces at $299 but uses it as a bait and switch. I am very upset about the time and effort I made only to have Goedeker's cancel the sale without my consent.

Their website definitely offers the lowest price for certain items. But you need to get prepared for possible drama when making an order with them. The drama I am experiencing is to cost me an additional charge of $250 from the installation while the company did not want to do anything.
I placed an order of GE cooktop on 8/8/2014 and received the delivery on 08/21/2014. Upon opening the package, I was shocked that the cooktop was completely smashed (the broken glass bits were all over the place). I called the customer service and spoke to Amber. She indicated that the only way I could receive a replacement on time was to place another order and return the damaged one. I had to place a second order of the same thing on 8/22/2014, so I paid twice and am hoping to get a refund for the damaged one.
I then received an email indicating that they would receive the shipment from the manufacturer within 72 hours and then forward it to me (as many indicated they are a broker and do not have an inventory). I called the customer service on 8/28/2014 asking to expedite the shipment as my hired team is scheduled to come to install a countertop on 9/5, otherwise I have to pay $250 for a return trip if the items to be installed on the countertop are missing. I think it is not unreasonable to place an order on 8/8 and hope to install it on 9/5. A male operator said nothing could be done and it was my bad luck to receive the broken shipment, essentially declined to do anything.
With the labor day, I realized that the chance for me to receive the shipment before 9/5 was slim. I wrote to the head (Steve Goedeker) of the company, hoping him to authorize the company to forward the shipment to me by express. My concern was forwarded to their customer service. Nothing happened except for email expressing their sorry for the damaged shipment. They routed the shipment to me as they normally do. As a result, the shipment has to arrive one day after my originally schedule installation, which is causing me to pay $250 for the crew to return.
This transaction to be learned by everyone:1. Good price on their offering;
2. Must be ready to punish yourself when an unexpected happen;
3. The company would never share a responsibility for the unexpected (e.g., missing or damaged), you bear all the consequence;
4. As the male operator frankly indicated, their customer service won't help you in the unexpected drama;
5. Give yourself a very long lead time when you place an order, otherwise pay some extra and order the same elsewhere.

Beware of this company. Don't be suckered in with low pricing. Goedeker must be an appliance broker instead of stocking appliances in their warehouse. They have to order from the factory and do not follow up on their orders and customer service is a joke. Read the reviews about this company before you make the mistake of ordering something. You will be better off by not doing any business with Goedekers.

I ordered 6 appliances for a new house I am buying. It is new construction, so timely delivery is essential. I explained this to the operator, who seemed to understand. Goedeker's uses a shipping company called JB Hunt where I live in NY. Here's how it went:
Attempt 1: Due to a computer glitch, the items never made it on the truck.
Attempt 2: Drivers said that for safety reasons, they can not deliver on a dirt driveway. I said that I explained that there would only be a dirty driveway to the dispatcher. The driver said he saw that in his notes, and it not sure why they would send him out, but that he could not deliver.
Attempt 3: Gas range was damaged. It would take a few weeks to get a new one. Also, drivers could not figure out how to take doors off the refrigerator to get it into the house. Claimed it was not their responsibility. I called Goedeker's and they said they would sent the guys back to do the job right.
Attempt 4: Refrigerator came back damaged. I refused delivery, and got my money back.
In the end, you get what you pay for. Goedeker's absolutely has the best prices. But it was not worth the irritation of such terrible delivery and damaged goods. It has ended up costing me way more in missed days of work and delays in closing on the house. I cannot recommend them to anyone.

I recently purchased a dishwasher from Goedeker's with delivery and installation. The dishwasher came in quickly and the install scheduled. The installer came to my home with the unit, pulled out the old working unit and installed the new one. After he did the installation, he called me into the kitchen to show me a leak. The supply line to the dishwasher was bent and leaking like a sieve. He suggested I call a plumber because it was beyond the scope of what he could do. I emptied out the cabinet under the sink the night before the installation and ran a load of dishes through the old machine. The line was not bent or leaking before the installation.
He suggested I turn the water main off until the line was fixed. It was Friday afternoon. I wanted to make sure the dishwasher worked before he left so turned the water supply back on to run a partial cycle. He shoved a plastic bowl under the line and left. I contacted a plumber and had the line replaced late that afternoon as we did not want to be without water all weekend. His first comment was, "how did this line get bent?" I contacted the sales rep the following day to see how they wanted to handle the damage. He said he found it hard to believe the installer had left my home with a leaking line, would talk with him and get back to me no later than Monday. He did not call me back.
I called him Tuesday. He said the installer told him he didn't bend the line and that he believed him. At that point, I suggested he have the installer and his supervisor come to my home to look at the damaged line the plumber pulled out as well as the repair. He declined my invitation. I told him if I needed to stop payment on the transaction to get the problems resolved I would. He asked me to send in a copy of the plumber's invoice and he would talk with the owner and installation manager to see if they could "do anything to help me". He said he would contact me 2 days later. Once again, no call back. I have filed a dispute with American Express and am letting them handle it. I purchased from Goedeker's because they are a local business and I like to support locally owned businesses.
I believe they need to reacquaint themselves with their philosophy: "We believe everything we do should be for the greater glory of God. Our priority is to serve our fellow man to the best of our ability. We want our customers to see Christ in us and in everything we do." They seem to have lost their way. At least from a customer satisfaction and service standpoint.

I worked for Goedeker's ago and can tell you that there is a very high turnover with employees. Goedeker's refuses to purchase phones, office supplies, trash cans, computers, printers/copy machines, copy paper, and various other basic supplies required to perform at work. They do not purchase required software licensing, employees share the same software packages instead of buying a license for every user. And...they claim to be Christians! They do not care about employees and are very unorganized. This company has little knowledge of how bad they are thought of by their employees, and fly by the seat of their pants each and every day. The office space and showroom are filthy.
Steve Goedeker is so tight that he places water in the bathroom soap dispenser and provides no towels to dry customers and employees hands. Employees often walk out for lunch, never to return. Customer Service, Buyers and Bookkeeping is in utter chaos. I don't know how this company has survived and fully expect them to close soon. They are greedy and clueless about just how much the employees dislike working for them. They pay for only two holidays per year and the starting pay is $10 for most positions, therefore, employees feel as though they are disposable and lack dedication. Many orders are received damaged or need some type of correction because employees do not plan to be a long term employee and simply process orders carelessly. Raises are seldom given so employees have little reason to perform their duties well. Please do not buy from this company.

Drank the cool aid that this was a faith based reliable local 'small guy' appliance guy who cared about his company. My experience is similar to all the other posts where Goedeker's makes false promises, delivers damaged product and provide no support to repair. I placed a large order of Whirlpool appliances to furnish a new home kitchen. Appliance purchased included Whirlpool sidekicks, Whirlpool side by side refrigeration, Whirlpool Gold ice maker, Whirlpool Gold wall oven combo, Whirlpool smooth top range, Chimney vent, Whirlpool Gold dishwasher and Whirlpool dishwasher...yeah, one huge order. Here's what happened:
Ordered on 11/7 with the first delivery scheduled for 11/23; 11/23 delivery was short by multiple items and two of the two freezer doors were damaged (they did make arrangements for Whirlpool to drop ship replacement doors). 12/7 delivery was still short of order where there was no commitment to complete the order. Had to get Mike Goedeker (owner) involved before I could get my sales person to return my calls and emails. 12/24 delivery was completed and the last item was damaged (Whirlpool smoothtop range side was bashed in and smoothtop dented). Customer service tells me I have to go through Whirlpool to get repaired. They provide the phone numbers to the vendor and I'm on my own. 1/28 & 1/30 - First day of delivery guy is no show...second day deliver guy is scheduled to arrive between 8 am and noon. He actually arrived at 3:30 pm.
Since this is new construction, we are just getting the replacement doors and trim kits ready to install. Goedeker's did agree to come out on 2/3 to install the two freezer doors. BUT, they are requiring a $120 fee to install the trim kit. Wouldn't you think that placing an order of $10,300 of appliances and dealing with so many problems that they would waive this fee. No, the response was they have to make money somewhere. Next time, I will read reviews BEFORE I make a purchase. I should have gone to one of the big box guys who actually do care about their reputation and quality.

I could never get a good answer on when the order would come and once received an email that was actually about someone else's order. Too much uncertainty causes me to choose not to use Goedeker again. Plus, Goedeker's instructions about thoroughly inspecting the appliances upon arrival, including opening the boxes, gave me the impression that once I accepted the delivery, there was no recourse from Goedeker if I discovered a problem. I talked to a customer service rep.... received no help ... then was connected to a supervisor... and received no help. In fact, I found out they do NOT provide return shipping labels, and charge a 25% hidden "restocking fee" to return your item.
In a pathetic attempt to get me to keep a product I didn't want, the supervisor flat out lied to me on the phone, saying it cost them over $100 to ship the item to me, when the item itself cost $90!!! How would they make a profit, if that were the case!?! She said she 'did me a favor and looked up the cost of return shipping, and it wouldn't be worth it for me to return it.' I did my own research and it only cost $17 to FedEx the item back.
Don't bother writing to "Steve", the company's owner. His email is listed on their website with a friendly-looking photo (probably catfish) inviting people to write him anytime. So I did. I got a short-worded response from somebody who was NOT Steve saying he's happy to reduce the return shipping costs to a whopping $15. Two-dollar savings. WOW, what a guy. So I called on January 3 and was told that the products I paid for are no longer available for that price and I could pay a higher price for them or simply cancel the order. I told them this is very unfair because they had accepted my order and kept my money for one month without notifying me that the product was sold out. If the product was sold out, they should have notified me immediately but not wait for more than a month until I called. If I had known earlier, I could have bought from somewhere else.
All the manufacturers have raised their prices on January 1 by 8% and I missed the on-sale opportunities for Christmas, plus I have to wait for 3 weeks to get any products now. I planned to move into my house on January 5. Now I will have no washer and dryer for a month. When I complained to their customer service rep, they didn't seem to care and said that the best they can do is to cancel my order and refund me the money. But they cannot honor the price that they sold me. I found Number1Direct is extremely ruthless in this matter. This is a fraud. While I thought you got both pedestals free if you purchased both the washer and dryer. I'm told I should have received only one free. I ordered the washer and dryer on the last day of the promotion.
The washer and dryer arrived without the pedestals. After one phone call where I was told I would be called back, and wasn't, and two emails, I finally reached someone in the company whose name I think was Jessica, but I didn't write it down and could be wrong. In any event, she told me that I was supposed to call in and ask for the promotion, not simply complete the on-line order. Of course, there was nothing that told you that. In fact, I had exchanged in a chat conversation with Number1Direct.com on the day I bought the washer and dryer to confirm I would receive the pedestals. She did not tell me I had to call in, that ordering on-line was not enough.
Now I'm told because Samsung will not provide Number1Direct.com a pedestal for free, and that they would have to pay for it, they will not honor the promotion because it would cost them money. They will be more than happy, however, to accept my order and payment. When I asked to speak to someone higher, I was told I could not and that was that.
