    The new system windows that were installed would not stay up where we put them. They’d slowly come down on their own. The 5th tech was finally sent out with the proper jig and springs to keep the windows where they were raised. I love the windows but not the service. This has no reflection on the technicians, they were very good. The communication within the company needs looking into. Each tech told me what the windows (all 6) needed. I assume they reiterated this info but it wasn’t passed down to the next tech that was sent out. 5 different techs all with the same answers. This is not good customer service when I have to call and get 5 different service techs. Each time they came out they said “I wasn’t given the right amount of springs to do the job”. They had to cut in another spring because the #7’s weren’t strong enough. I hope nothing else goes wrong with these expensive windows!

The only constructive comment I have is they cleaned the windows lightly but not very well.     Positives: The installers were kind, wore masks, were clean and knew their job. They were finished in record time and I appreciated that. Negatives: The next day after installation, there was condensation between two of the panes and water buildup between the second and inside pane. This will lead to mildew which will require me to change the window once again.

    I am the original owner of the home. This house was remodeled in 1994 and Milgard windows were installed throughout at that time. So, instead, I ordered the parts and will have to pay someone to put them in because of the long wait for service. The parts take up to two weeks to arrive, this is a long time to wait for them.     Many many QC Issues with Ultra Series windows and doors. Too many to list. Service has made 3 attempts and still not fixed. End user is very upset. There was a tic tac toe sign carved into our O panel on a sliding door. There were 8 windows with the sashes shipped locked, so the interlock was broken on all of them.     I started the process of replacing the movable portion of a window the beginning of Sept. 2020. First contact was a email. Due to no response I called twice. Finally had a appointment. My only complaint is the length of time it took to accomplish the replacement. I had rescheduled a vacation to be available then the appointment was canceled. That was maddening.

    I must say that after I reached someone, everything was easy. The hard part is getting a response. We emailed with no response for weeks until I called. The claim was opened and the window ordered. Months went by with no response and I called and the window was in and they scheduled a replacement date.     I filed a warranty claim in July 2020 and in August Milgard agreed to replace my defective Second story window under warranty. One technician came on 9/21/20 with the window but needed second person to install. He took the window back and rescheduled install for 10/5. That install was cancelled on 10/4 because the window broke. Rescheduled for 11/5 but cancelled right before appointment because window was on backorder. Rescheduled for 12/7, also cancelled right before appointment for unknown reason. Rescheduled for 1/4/21. On 12/30/20 I was assured all was on track but cancelled on 1/4 only 10 minutes before scheduled work window because of defect with the window. This claim was initiated in July, confirmed in August. For five months after accepting warranty responsibility, Milgard has been incapable of producing and installing a window.

    We had a bend in the frame of the window near the sash lock in one of our newly installed single-hung Tuscany windows. When the Milgard repairman, Peter (on my Appointment Notification, it says Pedro **), inspected it, he knew exactly what to do to repair it without having to replace the window. By using his high-heat gun, the frame quickly returned to its original shape and looked good as new! He then inspected one of our new horizontal sliders that wasn't sliding smoothly, applied silicone spray to it, and it now slides effortlessly. He also applied the spray to a second slider just to ensure it'd continue functioning smoothly and advised us to use the spray about every 6 months. It was a pleasure dealing with him, and we appreciate the prompt service for our beautiful Tuscany windows!

    I requested warranty service last week on a failing window. I received an email indicating my repair would take place: "I have processed your service request with the information provided and the soonest date available is 2/15/2021 7:00 AM - 4:00PM PST. If this service appointment works for your schedule, there is no need to reply. You will be contacted with a 2-hour time frame, 2 days prior to your appointment. (Please note: Our 2-hour time frames are computer generated and cannot be set by the customer service representative. We apologize for any inconvenience.)."

    I had indicated I needed a window to begin after 10:00 AM as I have East Coast business calls in the morning. I received this response: "We are unable to guarantee a time frame and will not know that until 2 business days before your service. Would you prefer to be scheduled for another day?" When I responded, "I was not looking for a guaranteed time. I needed a window to begin after 10 AM. I have business calls and cant be interrupted. I don’t think requesting a 6-hour window is unreasonable considering my obligations prior to 10 AM."

    I received the following response: "We will provide you with a 2 hour time frame 2 business days before. We are unable to guarantee a time frame even if the request is for after 10 am because the time frames are computer-generated. We can schedule another day where you have more availability if you would like?" I guess to get my window serviced I am required to take a day off of work? I'm sorry, it is not possible to wait until 2 days for the appointment to see what my assigned time is. I am already waiting 2 months out. If my assigned time is before 10 AM, I will need to either take a day off With late notice to my employer or reschedule and wait another 2.5 months to see if I get a time after 10:00 Am. This is terrible customer service!

    The windows were just over 1 year old and the frames have turned yellow! Called Milgard to file a claim, they tried to discourage it. We just received an email telling us they want to have someone paint the vinyl frames! That’s not acceptable! Don’t buy these windows!

    I contacted Milgard on 8/29/2020 regarding a defect in several of our Milgard windows through their warranty support. I received an automated response that "it may take 1-10 business days to review your request (a bit longer if this is the weekend). If this is an urgent matter, please call 1-800-MILGARD." I waited 3 weeks before reaching out to the 800 number and was put in contact with a local Milgard branch. After speaking with the rep there, I was told that due to their busy schedule, no warranty repair related work is being allowed. So I am stuck with several broken windows indefinitely without any timeline for when they will help me.

    I asked to speak with the manager and was told that the rep's manager was recently let go and that there isn't anyone else I can speak with. I asked to speak with the location's General Manager and after hemming and hawing for several minutes, she reluctantly gave me his phone number. I left a voicemail for him and have never heard back. The lack of customer service or follow through is completely unacceptable.

    The customer service rep was angry and seemed to become angrier or upset with me because I could not complete her online process and was not able to access the information numbers.     It took 4 months from the day I first called Milgard to begin a work order request until the day the window was finally replaced. I had to keep calling them in order to insure my work order was moving forward and to get a service date because they failed to do so. This process took much longer than I ever expected. The guys who came and measured the window glass and who replaced it a month later were 5 star but the long drawn out wait for a simple window replacement on our lifetime warranty windows was not good customer service.

    It was dark by time the technician arrived so once glass was replaced there was no way to see if they were without scratches or leaks in seals. He also measured another window of which the seals are crumbling and would make an order form for March 2021 to be fixed. So I should hear in February for date.
