I was very happy with my first Marquis but then I moved and I couldn't take it with me. The Reward was the first model I had and I didn't have room for that. So, I went down to The Spirit because I had confidence in the brand. I have been using Marquis Spas for about 15 years and I've always had a very good relationship with the people at the dealership. I needed to put the tub in a tricky area and the installation was fine and it all worked very well. I'm very pleased with the tub. I have neck problems so I use it more for therapy than anything else. I knew that I was down to one pump with this model rather than two, so I upgraded the pump to be the more powerful pump. But it's still nowhere near as powerful as it used to be. My biggest regret was that I didn't look more closely at the positioning of the neck jets and they're nowhere near as good as they used to be. Still, it’s a very good product.

Marquis Spas seemed nicer than some of the other hot tub carriers. We looked at others up in town, some multiple brands, added each price point, and Marquis Spas seemed better than comparable spas at the same price point. Their team was good and very knowledgeable about everything. I didn't have a ton of questions but anything that I asked, they were all over it. The installation was very smooth as well. They removed our old tub, put in the new one in the same spot, and it was done very quickly. We've owned our tub for about a year now and it's great. I use it all the time and it's very relaxing. I'd certainly recommend it.

A local carrier had Marquis which was nice. I was able to do some research and they are solidly built and have nice features. The company that installed our hot tub, Atlas, did a good job. They came back when I filled it with a hose instead of routing it through the line which created an airlock, and they let the air out of the system somehow. I've had my tub for 10 months now and it's been great. I go out every night and it's very relaxing and I sleep well. It's a good product, very high quality, and I would recommend it.

I went around, looked at hot tub brands and I talked to salesmen. After reading the sales brochures and talking to the in-store salespeople, I decided that Marquis was the right one. Upon installation, I needed to prepare a level surface and the installer took care of the rest of the installation, except for electrical which I hired someone to do. Still, the installers covered it all well. They told me how to run a hot tub and all the things I would need to do and how the hot tub worked. I’ve been using Marquis since October and I use it every day. I enjoy having a hot tub.
I am a little disappointed though with some of the design things that are part of the hot tub. There were some plastic parts that started breaking. The store has been very good about replacing the parts and they had people come out and took care of things. I appreciate all of that. But I thought why do the things in the tub break so fast. It's a Marquis design thing that I'm more worried about than anything else. Also, I got the wireless feature and it has a software on there. I haven't figured out how to make that useful but I think it's a waste of money to get. I talked to a design engineer at Marquis and I am a design engineer myself, so I looked at the badly designed things carefully. I knew that the tub could have been done better. And when I talked to the guy, it was something that they were aware of already but it was too bad that they shipped parts that were going to break.

I liked the quality of Marquis Spas and the fact that their products are American made. I purchased a spa from them at their dealership and I had great interactions with their staff. I liked their knowledge and that there was no pressure. They let us make the decision on what we wanted. Installing our Marquis Spa was a good experience. Since getting it, using the tub has been very enjoyable and relaxing. It's very soothing and helpful for all the sore joints. The quality of the spa and all the options are amazing and Marquis' service has been great. Every step of the way, it has been a really positive experience.

Marquis is a good, solid company and their hot tubs are made in the US. And when the sales went over and sat down with me, they sold me on it. The installation experience was very good. The guys knew what they were doing and had gotten the tub in quickly. I've had it for about a year and it seems like a very good product. It has been good for getting the aches and pains out. But sometimes, I wish the jets were a little stronger.

We purchased the top of the line Marquis Show Ultimate from Sparkle Pools in Easton, Maryland. It has always been a struggle to get service folks out in a timely manner and repairs completed. Our latest problem has been an issue for months! The knobs and Marquis logo are rusting. Yes, rusting in a hot tub. The logo was secured with screws that have rusted not only the actual logo, but the shelf/cover that it is mounted to. In my frustration, I emailed Marquis directly over 6 weeks ago. I haven't heard one single thing from them. Needless to say, if I had to do it over again, I would go with a different brand and a dealer with a reputation for aftermarket service.
Once again we are so sorry that we overlooked your email. We went back and did find it and we are interviewing the technicians that should have responded. We have always taken great pride in answering each and every request for help as quickly as possible and we feel horrible that one has slipped through the cracks. I had Marquis for about 17 years now and their service has kept me with them. I had problems with my first one and ended up replacing it. It cracked again. So, though I had problems, they dealt with the problem properly. I just showed them what the problem was and then they said, “Yup. We’ll send you a new product.” And so they have replaced the whole hot tub. I bought a new spa just this year and I researched it quite a bit and decided to stay with Marquis. We enjoy it and it evidently helps at night. I would recommend Marquis Spas.

I've had my Marquis hot tub since January. It's pretty and has a lot of jet action. But the seating is limited. Also, the surface is super-slippery, which when you’re our age, it’s a little bit of a problem. We had a hot spring before and I liked the surface and seating better. It wasn’t as good looking but it was sure a lot easier to get in and out of. But we had a bad problem with the dealer, so we ended up with Marquis.
The installation of our Marquis hot tub was very easy. They came and delivered it. Filled it up and they did a very good job. However, we went away on vacation. I inadvertently shut the power off so I froze it up. They were here three times to help unthaw it. Other than charging me like an arm and a leg, that was fine. I’m also very impressed with the filtration system - very few chemicals. And the water’s always nice and clear with only one filter. And our other one had three, so that was a big deal. And this one's doing a better job than the three. I’m very happy with that part of the hot tub process.

I work for a spa company and we sold and installed a lot of Marquis Spas, which I consider the Cadillac of the spas. So, that’s what we looked at. Compared to others, they do a great job which I know from having dealt with them before, not as a service person but as an installer. We did some service and they’ve always done a really great job taking care of their service people and also the customers so that’s another reason to go with them. The one that we found had everything we really wanted compared to all the other spas that were available to us at the moment. Installation was easy and they took great care of us. We have the hot tub for about eight months now and we like it a lot. My wife uses it a lot for massage therapy and I do sometimes as well, which is great because it’s in the house. The kids love it too. They were able to go swimming in the wintertime because they can get into the hot tub afterwards.

I’ve had a Marquis Spas tub for the last 20 years and I liked it quite a bit throughout the years. I’ve gotten my money’s worth with it. I could have fixed it but it just got to the point where the motors and the heaters were 27 years old, so I traded it in and got about $500-$1,000 for a new one. The new one has got the stereo system built into it and everything’s so fancy. This is a 2016 Marquis Ultimate Hot Tub Experience Signature Series. It’s a little smaller and it has got a lot more jets and waterfalls. The people I bought it from at Aqua Pros in Lynchburg, Virginia installed it. It was easy to install this last time because I already had the circuit breaker and the electric circuit run out there. The wiring was already in place, so installation was pretty much a quick in and out.
I’m getting old and the therapeutic aspect of the tub is fine but it is more just for relaxation and enjoyment. If I had a bad back or something was aching, I’d get in there and it helped drain away the pain. Get a Marquis. They have this thing in Roanoke at the Civic Center where they have all these different hot tub companies go. They have year-end models to get rid of them cheap. My neighbor bought one of those but it wasn’t a Marquis and he had no service. He had to haul the tub from their home and try to pay someone to work it out. Go to a local dealership, not a trade show. The way to go is to deal with one place and them having a good relationship with you so they wouldn't be selling these things for 30 years, instead of trying to save you $500 and you end up with nobody to represent you.

The design of my Marquis tub looks different and it’s definitely for what I needed. Also, I liked their automatic chemical feeder, which I didn’t see offered by other suppliers around here. The installation went well, But there was mud from going through my yard, which I would’ve wiped down. Also, something happened and they didn’t have my cover on the day of delivery, so my tub was exposed for 24 hours. But they came back and installed the cover. But it says in my handbook that it's supposed to never see direct sunlight 'cause it can mess up the acrylic. So, I didn't have it filled 'cause I didn't have the wires ran all the way and I didn't have any cover on it for that day.
I've had the Marquis tub for about seven months and it has the single pump. But sometimes, it seems like I’m not getting enough pressure with my jet, and it can only go to 104. So I would like a little more pressure and maybe a little hotter wouldn't be bad. Other than that, it’s a nice design and I recommend the spa. When my backs hurt, I get in the tub and it loosens my back right up.

We bought our Marquis tub because of the configuration. I have children and grandchildren in the area and the unit is big enough for several people to sit in it comfortably. Also, my wife likes the look of it and the way it was designed. A lot of spas don't have a lounge area and the seating arrangements didn't appeal to us until we saw Marquis' unit. The heat has gone out of the unit and I got that fixed. Then the thermostat stopped working and it was fixed last week. However I got a charged for the filtration timer. I know the heater was covered but I have no idea why the other piece was not.

Everything went smooth with the installation of our Marquis tub. We had a 42 x 18-foot slab of cement put down. The installers were very courteous and rolled the hot tub with PVC piping to make sure that they didn't damage any of the newly laid cement. They were good and efficient. After the installation, we entertained and had people come over. Even with my kids, they now have familiarity with water. The tub has been good all around. I would recommend Marquis to others. I would tell others that the Marquis team was very easy to work with and the product has been remarkable. We like the presentation of it.

Marquis was one of the models that offered a 115-volt option, so I got it because I didn’t want to have an electrician install a separate 220 line. Technically, it's a five-person spa but it’s done in a weird way. The zoning is diagonal where three seats are on one zone and two seats are on the other zone. And, they've got this master dial where the tub can split between two zones or go all on one zone. To me, the way the zoning is done is not ideal, but it's pretty good.
The vendor set it all up and filled it up and checked it out. Then I had to call them back because water wasn’t coming out since the hose inside was cramped under its own weight, but they fixed that. The Marquis Spa has some features that my previous one didn’t have. It is bigger by about 100 gallons, has lights and has more different jets. But the force of the water coming out of the jets on my previous one was better, even though it was smaller and had less number of jets. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with Marquis Spas.

When it was time to replace my Dimension One, I went with a Marquis because it was it was higher up the therapeutic jet scale. I have bad back and hips and was looking for something for more personal use with more therapeutic jets. I bought it from the Denver franchise and their team was professional and competent. But the installation was difficult. I had it installed in my house in Breckenridge. The electrical connections had to be modified but I wasn't given enough information on what was gonna be required in terms of adjustments from my existing installation to a new installation. I was told it would be very simple and would be an easy hook-up.
Fortunately, my wife was home when they came to install it. The two people who came wouldn't make the adjustments that were required. But fortunately, we're on good terms with our local electrician and my wife was able to get a private electrician on site within an hour who made the modifications and adjustments and made it work. But the two installers from Marquis were rude and intemperate to the electrician. But I've always enjoyed a good hot tub and Marquis' is a terrific high-end therapeutic one, but make sure you have the right sources available for installation.

We’ve looked around and we liked the value of Marquis Spas and the overall amenities of it. The company we purchased the tub from, they came out and sent the spa guys out and they installed and did everything for us. We use the tub once every couple of weeks and it has been enjoyable and it relieves some of the issues we have. We’re both old and got some back and knee issues, so it’s extremely relaxing. It has improved our general welfare. For maintenance, we do the basic chemical treatments weekly, and then the two-week treatment. We change the water every couple of months. We got the self-pump, so it’s not a very tedious process. We’re very satisfied with the tub and the service that we’ve received since purchasing it.

We had a hot tub back in the early 90’s, but when we moved to Missouri we wound up selling it because we couldn’t use it where we're living. Then, we wound up with more and more back problems so we have decided to look around various places over the last several years. Finally, we went to this spa place and we came across the Marquis Spa. It had everything in it that we wanted. It has no lounge chair, but it has nice seats that covered all the back pressure points. The Marquis representative was very good and thorough in explaining everything to me too. It turned out we got a particular style and color that they aren't making anymore. It resembles my mother's ashes in the Pacific Ocean which is kind of iridescent green in the Pacific Ocean when you throw human ashes in there.
When the spa was installed, I had to have an electrician come out and hook up the connection first. Then, the spa guys came out and installed it. We had to take it slow because I'm on a well and we were restarting to pump in a body of water, so we had to take a break. The next day, I finished filling it and putting the chemicals in accordingly. So far, the spa has been awesome. I got degenerative cartilage and other back issues and it helps with fibromyalgia and arthritis. It also helps me sleep better at night. I like the Marquis spa a lot. In fact, I have a friend who has been looking for one and I mentioned it to her.

We bought a Marquis hot tub at a local pool dealer. The spa works good and I like it. However, there has been multiple times where I wanted to use it and some of the blowers and stuff didn’t work. When I bought it, the service rep was very helpful and told me that the spa is great and it's very easy. Then I found out later that they weren’t helpful. I've explained to their people a couple of times and somebody just came out from quarter mile down the road from the shop I bought it from and just went over stuff with me one more time.
One time, the filters stopped during the winter time and it started dropping temperature and I don’t know why. Nobody explained to me that if you’re not using it, you still have to change the filters every couple of weeks or months. My previous tub was old so I didn't care about it, but I do with my Marquis tub because it's like a car. I also bought a liner and a heater for the pool and a bunch of stuff and they have been no good, so I’m getting rid of them. I simply got to figure out how to use the tub a hundred percent and I would like to get more information about how they work.

We got a Marquis Spa last fall because our 16 year old one had died. Initially, we’re just gonna go with the same brand. But we did a lot of shopping around and everything fell in place with the Marquis. We really love all the features that were included. Everything that we needed as far as capacity, the features, the lighting and everything, there was now a standard. When we bought our first one, we had to pay extra for all those things. We enjoy everything about the hot tub. It has nice size for us and the price was right. The sales people were very helpful too. I was told that installation was the most difficult one, and I believed it. They had to take our hot tub, get a crane and lift it up. They had to not just go over our roof but we have a huge tree that they had to navigate under and not hit the roof. But they did a spectacular job. In fact, I have it on video. It was amazing watching them take the old one out and lift the new one in with such precision.
So far, it’s much easier to be changing out the cartridges. However, we weren’t used to it. My husband was the main guy who always kept the hot tub clean. He could take it from being cloudy to totally clear in an hour. But he was struggling with this one because it’s just a whole new animal. He has drained it a couple of times more than he would have with the old one. They didn’t send anybody out but said, “Bring a sample of your water in and we’ll test it and see what needs to be done.” So, I went in and brought a sample of the water into the showroom. The rep helped me out and he told me what I need to do to get it clean. So far, I love our tub and we’re definitely very happy with it. My husband uses it more than anybody in the family because he has a bad back and it has been a positive experience. If there's anybody in the market for a hot tub, we would recommend Marquis Spas.

Marquis Spas hot tubs are made in Oregon and I bought mine from a salesperson at the Clackamas County Fair. The installation was very difficult and I was quite amazed that they were able to do it. They had to put it down in the middle of the deck and it was quite awkward. And it was a precarious job. They pulled it off and did it without any dings, dents, scratches, or damage. We also bought the service where they come once every couple of weeks or so and clean it. That’s a very good service and the guy named Glen is awesome. Marquis Spas is great and I would highly recommend them.

The heater on our old hot tub went out, so we knew it was time to shop for a new one and Marquis happened to have a sale going on that week. We got the tub back in October. But spending that kind of money, I would have thought somebody would have stuck around long enough for me to fill it, and then go over some of the features. But as soon as the installers set it on the ground, all the Marquis people were gone before the electrician finished hooking the wires up to it. And they just told me to fill the tub up and put the chemicals in and told me to call them if there was any problem. That's the instructions I got from Marquis. Also, we haven't got a thank you from them yet for spending the money on it.
The tub had bacteria in it. Within the first two weeks of us having it, we’d sit in it and turn it on and water would turn milky. Marquis kept giving me different sanitizing chemicals. And I had changed the water six times the first two months we had it. I would change it out and put in fresh water and get all the chemicals up and everything up, and within a couple days it would just start foaming up like crazy again and would get a scum line on it, so I'd drain it again. They also did some stuff that was supposed to kill everything in it. I put it in and boiled it in there for about half an hour before I drained and cleaned it out. And we haven't had an issue since. They didn’t charge me for any of the chemicals but they gave me an awful lot of stuff to try to cure my problem.
Also, Marquis will not give me any drawings on how it's plumbed or give a pump or part numbers to replace anything like that. I've had some diverter valve break and I asked them if they could give me some parts, but they said no. I'm qualified to do all that work myself, but I can’t get any cooperation from them whatsoever. They will send the part to their representative here in town, and then I have to go in there and get them. Other than that, the tub is working and it’s great. It's a six-person tub and I’m glad that it has deeper seats and shower seats. Sometimes, I like to get a deep seat and have the water up to my neck and at other times, I like to sit up and sit out of the water when it gets hot.

We've enjoyed the Marquis tub and it's been a fun add in our 50's. We have the Euphoria model which is an eight-person hot tub and you have to fill it quite high. The instruction says to fill it to two-thirds the way up the little thin line on the water intake. And then if the water is lower, it interferes with the jets. So, even though there's plenty of water going over the spillway into the filters, the jets run intermittently. But the problem with filling it quite high is when you put more than two people in the tub, much less if you get four people in the tub, you got this little thing that sits on top of the filters. It's a kind of a cover thing that sits over. It puts water almost out of the tub. It lifts the whole spillway up.
Then in association with that, I have been running the tub with a little less water and unbeknownst to me, it looked like it would be fine, but obviously had it kinda right at the limit at least for this particular tub. One of the jets was running intermittently, and I couldn't figure it out. It looked like the water is plenty high enough for water to go over the spillway and into the silk units. So, I called a service order in on it because I had to know if there's something wrong with the jets. And instead of telling me, "You know what? Your water is probably too low," they sent a tech out to tell me that the water was too low and it's 190 bucks. Other than that though, it's a very nice tub. It just seems you have to overfill the tub to keep the jets running correctly. In which case, if you overfill it, you can't get more than four people in there without water raising to a point where it lifts the cover off the filters and you got this cover floating around.

I used to have a Sundance tub and I really liked it. I had it for 17 years and it finally died out. Then I got the therapy tub from Marquis and I have it since last October of 2017. The installation went flawlessly but there was a problem with one of the main components. The dealer replaced it within a couple of hour and it seemed like they got that fixed. It's been fine ever since. In fact, it's excellent and I love it! I use it almost every day. It's crystal clear all the time and I am happy with it.
Having been a hot tub owner for 17 years, I kinda understand how to keep hot tubs clean and the chemicals balanced. And I really appreciate the design of the Marquis. The way they have these cartridges that will keep everything in balance for anywhere between two or three months, depending on how much you use it, makes taking care of the tub so much easier. I'm not constantly monitoring and tweaking it. So, from that standpoint, Marquis has a heads up on the competition in terms of design. They also provide a great service and their high-quality product delivers multiple benefits both in terms of maintenance and therapy.

The second issue has not been resolved yet. I've been waiting since the end of April to get it fixed! I called about two weeks ago and they were supposed to put me on the schedule, but still nothing. I had a very easy place for them to put it and the installers did a great job. They probably had the tub installed in 10 minutes. We love the tub especially in the winter months where we use it just about daily. My wife and I are in our 60's now and we get a little sore, and it sure feels good to sit in the hot tub. This is my first Marquis and I'd give high recommendations.

Our hot tub stopped working and we went to Spark Pool. They had a sale then and we bought a Marquis hot tub. We built a deck around our hot tub so their installers had to pull it up out of a deck and then put the new one in, and they did a good job. I like the hot tub when I have time to get in it. It's very relaxing and it's nice for wintertime when it's cold outside. However, we've had it for two years now and I've only used it two times. Some of the components inside are a bit on the cheap side. I've had to replace jets because I didn’t keep the chemical balance correct with the water. I also had another problem with it that they thought was covered by warranty and they sent the part back to wherever they were manufactured but I had to pay for the big part, the heating element. So I'm not that happy with Marquis.

I'm from Oregon but I spent a career in the Navy outside of Oregon. When I came back to Oregon, I was looking for a spa with a bromine cartridge system including better quality construction, factory QA, and production QA. I was keen on several spas that were out there and Marquis was locally sourced plus had a bromine cartridge system which convinced me that I needed to go with them. The hot tub was installed sometime last fall in October. But before the installers put the hot tub in they had to come out. They came with the sales guy to look at the location and talked about how they'd approach it. I had to get a couple of limbs cut off of a tree and then, I also had people who installed the depth foundation for it, and we got everyone together in that one morning for about half an hour and made sure we had all the i’s dotted and the t’s crossed.
During the installation, the installers were talking to the Marquis folks. They really had their act together and so I knew the installation will go smooth and it did. In fact, they installed it while we were not at home. But I asked my next-door neighbor to take video and pictures on installation day so I had something to reference. The installers were top-notch guys and are professional and trustworthy. I start my day in the spa almost every morning for six days a week. We had chosen to get a hot tub because we thought it’s a vacation home where we live even though we’re living here permanently and we are retired. And it’s a funny thing what the joints do after retiring as they get creakier, so hydrotherapy is really important as we get older to increase blood flow and subsequently, it touched down on stiffness and promotes healing.
The people next to us who actually watched our installation have had spas and hot tubs and pools in all of their homes in Washington state. But they retired and moved here, then they were asking me why I chose Marquis. They came over and told me that they purchased a Marquis spa and it was getting installed in three weeks. Also, we had two to three social occasions a month where people came to our house and they were enamored with the spa. But it’s really the maintenance-free aspect of it ‘cause chemicals can really get confusing to people and the operations of the spa itself. For example, we got one with two pumps so we can do low and high in two separate dimensions on its side. I can move the jets right and also focus some of the jets in some very critical places that if you got a recreational spa, you couldn’t. So the neighbor across the street from us was very proud of his hot tub.
Last week, he came over and said he’s now getting rid of his hot tub, and I think he’s leaning towards a Marquis. Also, I work on the maintenance committees and the contract committees for our HOAs so I’ve been able to talk these issues with a lot of the homeowners and talked through things like depth replacement and depth preparation and making sure they know that it’s possible to do this and what the best installations are.
We’ve enjoyed the hot tub and we would swear up and down to anybody to move to Marquis. Lifelong satisfaction and I’m proud to have their hot tub. I recommend Marquis to everyone and tell ‘em the reasons for it. And I continue to meet neighbors and community members that have not done Marquis or are having a variety of issues.

We bought a Marquis tub that's close to the top of top-of-the-line that stores sold and we were happy with the way it went at the store. Then the guys that came took the old one away, set the new one down and they were gone within two to three hours. It was as smooth as you can get. They only had to come back the next day to fix the little hose that was leaking. My wife likes the tub because she has some back problems. She wanna have something that massages the back, so she gets in there and lets it blow on her back.

We’ve been enjoying our Marquis hot tub. I have some back pain and getting into the hot tub helps melt that away for a while. We bought the Rendezvous, an entry-level product that was good to start with. The installers showed up when they said they would and the installation was easy. They picked it up at the frame, swung it over onto my deck behind the house and hooked it up. They weren't here for much longer than an hour. It's super easy to use. We've also done a couple of water changes and it was easy to control the chemicals once we switched over to the Frog @ease spa system. I’d recommend Marquis.

There was an issue with the plastic caps that hold the valves down of our Marquis spa. Those kept cracking. At first I replaced it one at a time, but then I asked the spa broker guy, “Can you just give me all the rest of them?” He was willing to do that because he was like, “Well, Marquis would rather us just replace as they break, but I’ll go ahead and give you all of them, so you don’t have to keep running back and forth.” I appreciated that because my opinion was if you know there’s a problem with these, you ought to just send me all of the ones to replace them. I got all of those swapped out and there are no more problems with that. Overall the quality of my Marquis tub is good.

I had a 15-year-old Marquis spa and got a replacement which I've owned for seven months already. It's great, for the most part. However, I would not have purchased it had I known that it was so cumbersome to take off the part of the skirting necessary to drain the tub. Also, the installation did not go smoothly because it turns out in our area, which is Bend, Oregon, is a real construction boom going, and it took us about six weeks to locate an electrician who could do the hook up. I think for what these spas cost, the installation should come with an electrician that can hook it up for you.

Then they answered any questions we had and they gave us a whole kit when it first started up. Installing the tub went quick. The installers had it out here and had it set up in three hours. The installation of our Marquis tub in August was quick and professional. Donnie from Idler’s, the gentleman who sold us our tub, was outstanding, thorough and knowledgeable. I liked him. When we had a problem with our tub foaming and turning green, he was out of town at a spa show but he gave us the information of a Marquis rep. He told us to call on but that guy was awful. So I just took what he had to say with a grain of salt and didn’t do anything with the spa until Donnie got back. It took a couple of weeks to get it fixed because we were having issues with our water around here. And it took a while to get the chemicals adjusted, but Donnie was well-trained. He knew how to go through the steps and address our problem. Since he finally got it tuned in, it has been awesome.
It really bothered me that the headrest discolored so quickly though. That happened within the first two months that we had the tub. We had a new tub and we wanted to show it off but it’s embarrassing because those headrests were a light gray and now they are all gross and faded gray. It made our brand new hot tub look not so new and so well-kept. We didn’t even use it every single day and it is covered too. It’s not out sitting in the sun. We only uncover it at night when we use it.
It was probably due to the combination of the chemical in the spa and Donnie said it can happen from people with greasy hair. But my fiancé and I shower twice a day and we get in the tub after showering so that we're not taking oils into the tub. Donnie told us that it's a wear item and I get that but it would have been nice if Marquis was aware of this and gave an extra set. It was something that we had to replace and there was no warranty on the discoloration. Nonetheless, it’s been nice to use the spa to relieve my back. We’re using the tub a couple of times a week.

I love my Marquis hot tub. A friend of mine bought a house in Denver about a year ago and it had a Marquis in it. I've put on a 2,000 square foot patio on my house and I was planning to put a hot tub there. The first inkling was to see what was up on Craigslist. And all I had gotten were used garbage. It was not what I wanna do. My friend said that I had to have the Marquis. New England states have their own little panache of "Made in New England" and craftsmanship. My buddy said to me that the Pacific Northwest Shore has the same mojo and that they built the hot tub. Marquis is a nice tub and it's made in America.
It's a well-made product. I'm really glad I had gotten it. However, I'm having difficulty with getting the chemistry of the water correct. Sometimes I struggle with the alkaline and the PH, but my dealer puts my little water sample through his little machine and gets me back on track. My daughters love the hot tub, and I especially love the micro silk. It's very relaxing, and I have recommended Marquis to a bunch of my friends.

They didn’t go through it to see if everything was set like it was supposed to be. The plug-in was pluggable but they didn’t check and make sure that the water doesn't run out. I didn’t find that out until later.
But there was nothing to fix. It was just a valve was in an open position instead of close. I opened it, closed the valve and everything worked like it’s supposed to. This new Marquis is the 120 instead of the 220. There is a difference that way and I knew that going in. And if you operate the thing on 220, you got great thing going. So buy it and keep going.

I have some friends that have been in the spa business who recommended Marquis being one of the top-quality brands and it’s made in the US. And if I’m gonna invest in something that will last for 20 years, Marquis would be a good brand to invest in. However, I've been less than thrilled with my spa and have had many, many, many issues. I purchased a spa from Marquis about a year ago and upon arrival of the first delivery, the spa was improperly made. The top of the spa part that’s waterproof that goes into the base of the spa was disconnected and broken. So, I had to send it back and it took quite a while to get it back to me, but it was quicker than the first time I ordered. So that was frustrating.
The company that I went through provided extraordinary customer service. My spa short-circuited within the first couple of months and I paid one of the installers for the company to come out weekly to service the spa and help me because I paid for this thing that was adding more stress to my life. We've had to replace it once at least and I also had many issues with the filter and the screws. At some point, I was really furious and I was gonna call Marquis and ask them to send me another spa, but my guy was able to troubleshoot the issue and worked with Marquis to resolve the pipe break.
We had a second spa and then a pipe broke. I came out one day and the whole hot tub had drained until there was a little puddle in each seat. Luckily, Mark, from where I bought the spa, came out and fixed it. He was able to replace the pipe. Now, I'm having an issue where the temperature keeps dropping and when I get in, I keep it normally settled at 103, but it was at 99 and at 101 the night before. I also have this other problem going on where the water level is dropping. Mark's coming back out on Thursday to take a look, and I'm paying out-of-pocket to pay him to come to my house to take problems off my back.
The place where I bought it from is a very big fan of Marquis and they're very supportive of them. They have been really great. They have brought out extra chemicals and supplies and they have gone above and beyond. My friend who works there said that from here on, they have done all they can do and if we continue having problems, we're gonna need to file with Marquis. We made such a big purchase and it’s so frustrating to have problem after problem. Every time we think we've got it handled, we don't. The spa is not working according to plan.

We chose the hot tub of Marquis Spas because it was a really nice hot tub and it had everything we were looking for. Our purchase experience worked great. The wholesaler where we bought the tub is a great company to get supplies from and I’ve been up there a few times buying supplies. But when our Marquis tub was delivered, it was brought to this company and they were supposed to have connected the pipes together so these didn’t leak. I did the set-up myself and I didn’t realize that, for shipping purposes, the pipes were not tightened down. So, when I started putting water in the tub and filling it up, the water started draining right back out. I ended up having to take the cover off the side of the tub and connecting the pipes and screwing them tight.
Also, when we ordered a new bench for the tub, we actually received the wrong bench. Moreover, the new bench wasn't delivered and I had to drive up there to pick it up and bring it here, then I had to take the old bench back there and drop it off, so that was a little bit of an inconvenience. Except for a couple of times, my wife and I haven’t used our Marquis tub since we had it six months ago because we were so busy with everything else that was going on. Our Marquis has more jets and a bit bigger than the Coleman that we used to have. Also, the seat configuration is different. It has prettier lights than the Coleman. On the other side, the Coleman interior was better because the Marquis is slippery and that’s a safety factor. So I’m not too impressed with the slickness of it especially on the seat that you get into the tub on, although I like the colors. The second one that came in was delivered at the end of October of 2017. So this is fairly new. This is the second hot tub we brought from Marquis.
I went down to our distributor, Patio Pools, and I ordered a Marquis Resorts Spa with the environment surround furniture. And upon arrival of the spa, the furniture does not fit the resort model. Therefore, I upgraded it to the Epic Spa, which I was told the furniture would fit. And within two weeks of my spa delivery and my environment surround furniture, the furniture started to warp and it’s a disaster. So to this day, I do not have my surround environment furniture. They’re trying to fix it and it’s been over five months. So I’m not very impressed at all.
It looks beautiful, but I don’t have my furniture, which I’ve paid for in full, and it’s not cheap. It’s quite a few pennies to put that surround furniture around this big spa. So that’s why I have now the second spa because all the advertisements and the brochures from Marquis online and in the literature say that all the environment surround furniture fit every spa they make. Well, that ain’t true. When they took the furniture in December, my local distributor said it would be a couple of weeks. Well, it’s been five months now so I’m not happy.
Now, it’s coming up in a year when I put the deposit down on June 16th of last year to purchase this spa. I spent $18,000 on this thing and I’m not impressed. People who are gonna buy these things should beware. Not only is the interior slick, there’s a safety hazard too. The furniture doesn’t work. The panels on the outside stained. I have the darker brown. So now, there’s all these white droplets all over it, so it doesn’t look pristine. Also, the filter cover is so fragile that you really cannot put anything on it. The cartridge is handy but I still don’t touch it because I got pool service. The spa has to be wiped down inside and out after every use for the white spots from the chemical. And to me, that is not very convenient. It’s too much work to go with my hot tub.
Furthermore, the surround furniture doesn’t have an adequate cover removal system that’s convenient. I don’t like my cover removal system. It’s terrible. I’m still trying to search for a better system, but the way the surround furniture goes, it’s not where you have the bar where you lift it up and it’s very easy. I have this roller sort of apparatus and it’s really not convenient at all. If you don’t have the muscles to do this, you need two people to get the cover off of the spa. Now, when you look at the pictures, it’s beautiful. When it’s cleaned, it’s beautiful. But as soon as you use it, doesn’t have that wow factor.

One of our friends had hot tubs and they told us that Marquis is a good brand. And when we were looking around at different ones, we found that we like the layout. The installation was great. The installers came and put it in. The hardest part was getting the wiring because it was about 300 ft. away from my breaker box so we had to put in some paneling. It was three grand just for the wiring, and that was not expected but we had to do it. I called the place we bought it from because, not that long after we got it, the LED lights stopped working. They did not know what was wrong with it. However, I then decided to try to power cycle it and that worked. I got the light to come back on and now it works fine.
Moreover, we could also use a little help in figuring out how to work the chemicals. If I wanted to use Marquis' chemicals, I 'd have to go back to where I bought the hot tub to get it from them because I couldn’t find it online or somewhere simple just to get the chemicals redone. I then ended up switching brands where I could get them. The one thing I thought was kind of odd also was that there's no insulation at the bottom of this hot tub. I expected to see a bunch of foam but there's none. But, other than the whole hot tub experience, Marquis is great. It is holding up and everything is doing well.

I like Marquis' hot tub's shell, the way the manufacturing process was, and the components that were used. It is a well-made tub. But there are a few differences in ergonomics and placement that were better with the other brand that we had before we bought Marquis. It would be nice to make things a little bit more accessible from the different seats and the different configuration. We changed to Marquis because the other brand that we had was local to Colorado and not available here in Indiana. Marquis, on the other hand, was the available brand and I liked most of what it had to offer and it was fit for us. We have it for one year now. We are in it three times a week and most of the time, it really helps out with the shoulder and neck issues from the injury, which was why we had it.
The installation was very well-organized and was handled directly from our distributor. They had certainly enough people on the team to make it easy. We are kind of on a hill, so they had to come down the hill with it and that all worked out. Since we had a hot tub previously, we knew how to prepare the ground and make it level, and we did all that work ourselves. Delivery was easy. We had already pre-placed the wiring. So the hook-up, without filling itself, took 40 minutes. I would recommend Marquis which I already did.

We've been working with Griffin Pools for years with chemicals and we trust the store, so I looked into the Marquis products that they offered. I never would have gotten one because that's a luxury item but that hot tub from Marquis fits more into our budget. I also investigated it online and we liked the seating arrangement because I'm a large person and that would be comfortable. We bought the tub in September and it's very relaxing. We also got a pool and I use that all the time in the summer. Then the hot tub gets me through the winter. It's the only time I feel normal. I had a good experience with Marquis Spas and Premier Spas was a good retailer. I liked the size, the three jets, and the power of the Marquis tub, and how the jets were straight shot and less of a bend so there was better water flow. The installation of the hot tub was great and the installers were really nice. The only thing that I wished they had was a one-stop shop for buying electrical hookups, although they had someone that they referred, because one of the guys who came out wanted to put in a higher voltage or amp. Premier had the person to do it and I handled it through them. We had a top that was uninstalled at sideways, so we had to have a top that was remade. Premier did that, which was nice, and they did a good job. There was a delay but that was fine. Our hot tub has been great and I enjoy and love it, but it's too expensive. We were at the fair and we were looking for hot tubs since the Sundance tub we've had was pretty much done after 20 years. We saw a Marquis spa and it was the first time I've seen double lounge seats, so we went for it. Their sales representatives at Country Homes were nice and helpful. The guy who delivered it was good as well. He dropped it off and put it in the spot, then I did all of the electrical.
I like the spa and its quality looks good. I also like the amount of jets. However, ever since we've had it in October, we barely use it because we can't get the water to purify and it's been really murky. It's kind of a weird situation because I'm out of the country, and so I'm neither on city water nor well water. I'm on underground spring water so I'm sure that there's a bit of difference in the water versus a normal city person had. I also don't know if it's the chemicals I'm using, I'm just not doing it right or it's just the way the spa works. But we've already emptied the water out for about three times and I've never had an issue before with our spas.
I've also got a problem with the spa and I've called Marquis three times. They were supposed to send out a technician, but they haven't sent one. I've gotten a callback once and then I called one time and talked to the guys that were in there but they were an independent contractor. We had already had the pad built for it so, they simply had to put it out and put it together. The people were very professional and informative.
After the first month, I was having trouble getting the water stabilized with the chemicals so, I took a sample back to the store and they thought that it was too high. They told me to pour the water out and start again. I had put too much of the bromine in there and the guy told me that it is something that I don't want to do. We like the product itself from a visual perspective. We thought the service was going to be good. I had worked with them a little bit in the past so I had good feelings about them as a company. During the installation, there was a little tube that came loose. They had to come back and fix that because we had a leakage issue where the water would have dropped six inches in the tub in two days.
I expected to not have to use as much chemicals and I’m using just as much chemicals as I did in my previous spa. There were that one of those expensive tubes you put in it and I thought because I was going to have those tubes of chemicals in it, that I wasn’t going to have to do with much into it. I had a foaming issue within two months where I didn’t know what happened. Their service department was good to work with and they were prompt in returning my call. It turned out just to be a simple type of a thing. But there could be some better work in terms of explaining how everything gets set up. I can’t even find out how many gallons of water the hot tub is.
The truck guy just delivered it into our yard and I get my way through it. Marquis should have sent somebody out to help me get it set up chemical-wise and explain it especially for a newbie. However, I didn't understand why the tub was running when I didn't want it running. Marquis' team said that was normal and that it just went through cycles. That was why it ran and kept going. Still, I'd tell others that working with Marquis was wonderful.

We were looking for something that my wife could workout in and ATV Swim Spas' floor model was the first one we found. We bought it and when we had it delivered, their reps lifted the spa over the top of the house to get it in the backyard and built a deck around it for us. The people that came and built the deck as well as the cover over it did a wonderful job. We also had to build a handicap access so that my wife could get in and out of the spa.
My wife loves to swim and she loves the spa. She’s out there about six days a week. Given her injury, she doesn’t use it like a typical swim against the currents although she turns on the currents every now and then. She likes the little massage thing that she gets to sit in the chair and have the jets on her. She also likes the music that is embedded into the spa and that makes her workout even more advantageous. She likes the size and the depths of it, too. It’s perfect and she would love to have one at our house at all times for the rest of her life. One thing that we would like to see on it though is an automated opening of the roof so that I don’t have to be out there to help her open the cover every time. I would like to see a handicap chair as well that would lift her in and out of the spa.

My experience with ATV Swim Spas has been very positive. We've had a hot tub and the swim spa from Nokomis before. Upon my research ATV seemed to be one of the better brands. I bought the swim spa at Paddy's Pool and we have it for four months. The installation went pretty good. We didn't have any electrical and stuff so we had a floor pad and then brought electrical to it. Having this swim spa was better in terms of the ability to exercise. I have bad knees. It was very easy to get in and exercise with those knees. I've recommended ATV to pretty much anybody in my generation. You can get the same impact as a swimming pool but better because of the streaming of the water. Furthermore, it's a lot easier to maintain than a swimming pool.

ATV Marquis is a known excellent brand and they've been very knowledgeable and helpful on my questions. And they did an excellent job installing the swim spa. I did the site prep and all we had to do was have the crane lower it in place. We didn't have any issues and it was up and running within a day or so. I've had this swim spa for five months now and it is an excellent device. We have the Kona version so it has the class four jets in it. Overall, it's very easy to use and maintain. We use it about four to five times per week and with the winter condition we're having, it's pretty good. And the ATV with the Covana Legend Cover is an excellent combination because it is electric. My wife has a hard time lifting the cover so, just turning a key makes it much more usable. It is an excellent product and a great investment.

The spa had to be lifted above my house, put in the backyard with a crane, and the whole process took four hours. Other than that, it's been familial bliss to use the spa.

We shopped for a tub a little bit. We kind of narrowed it down to a couple of brands and read people’s feedback and comments online. We found a good blog page of some guy that seemed savvy in the hot tub world and he advocated for Marquis Spas. It was a little complicated when we installed the tub because we put ours on top of a deck. And the deck was raised so I got a little anxious getting the forklifts around the back but other than that it was fine.
We enjoy our Marquis tub. Not having had one before we weren’t sure how often we would use it. But we've used it quite frequently. I would highly recommend it. For the money, it was a little more expensive than some of the other ones. But I also think it’s worth it. You can feel it in the construction and the quality and the performance for that matter. We’re pleased with it. But the pool and spa place that we went through don’t sell all of the different kinds of models so we never got in the tub that we ended up buying. It would have been a little more comfortable with the purchase if I wet tested it.

The jets are not really that strong either. I thought it would be a little stronger. For the maintenance, I just have to do the filters and that's about it. But also, when the hot tub was installed, they brought it to my house and they chipped the bottom of it a little bit.

I bought my ATV swim spa at the fair. When I found it, I fell in love with it. It was just the overall package. Installing it was a great pain though. There were no crane companies that could do it because it’s so large. I had five different crane companies and I had to keep paying for all these companies to come out. I would get a day off work to meet up with one company and then they would say they can’t do it. They kept telling me another company would be able to do it and we would start again the next week.
I’ve also already had to call the maintenance on the swim spa but it was a quick fix. The technician worked on the electrical and now it works. So far, I like most of the features but I did not like the stairs setup. It was overpriced and I didn’t buy it. They told me not to. But now, the swim spa is so high. I'm basically climbing in with a giant ladder. But I have the added thing to help flip open the top and it blocks the stairs. That’s where it goes so it doesn’t really make sense. Despite that, I have been trying to convince all my family members to get the swim spa. I have been recommending it to everybody, the swim spa and not the actual company.

The Marquis dealer was more willing to work with even if the competitor had something of a similar brand. So it boiled down to customer service. The installers were quite efficient and did a good job of placing the hot tub where we want it placed. We are in a situation where our water's very hard and it has sulfur in it. So I have to use more chemicals in the tub to help soften and get the smell out of the water. Marquis suggested that I clean the filter at least twice a year and change them, if necessary. I ended up having to pull the filters out and cleaning them out in three or four weeks. Otherwise, the water would be completely cloudy.
We use the tub several times a week, and my wife use it more often than I do. She sleeps better after she had about an hour soaking back in the tub. But it's been difficult to get their products recently. We found some of the products online on Amazon. But because I'm in the rural area, I have to travel at least 14 hours one way just to get the products. So that's 80 to 100 miles turnaround just to go get the product. I'm wondering why is it that Marquis hadn't offered the products online instead of having to go through the dealer. But other than that, it's a good tub and I would recommend them.

Our first hot tub is a Marquis spa and we've had it for almost a year now. I chose it for its price on its number of jets and we had a really good experience when we had it installed. The crew was in and out really fast and one of the owners of the company who was delivering with them took the time to explain to me exactly how to use it and when to add chemicals, answered all my questions, and then left his contact information if I had more questions. And I had one problem when we got in at once and turned it on and it looked like somebody put bubble bath in there. So I called and talked to him, and he told me exactly what I needed and where to get it. He told me to order on Amazon and I got it, and it took care of the problem. We're very happy with Seattle Hot Tub and we would recommend Marquis Spas. Using the hot tub, we have less body aches now that we're old. We can do yard work and get relief from it again.

When it was decided that the therapy pool that I was using wasn't going to be run afterhours anymore, I looked at various models and varieties of swim spas and the Marquis spa was the one that I was most comfortable with. Also, Gib-San, the company that put in my original swimming pool, was prepared to do the whole process of building it for me. I wanted it partially in the ground so that I could easily get in and out of it. I was concerned with the neighbors as well and I didn't want to interfere with their enjoyment of their gardens, so I didn't want anything too high. We're in the city so the yards are reasonably very close together. And I've got the spa set up for year round use but outdoors, so the insulation capacity was important to me.
I've always been impressed with Gib-San's workmanship and follow up. I went and looked at the lovely Canadian-made products, too, but it was a matter of buying the spa, finding a contractor, supervising everybody, and organizing the timing, which I had to do all by myself and I wasn't prepared to do all of that. So because of the reputation of Marquis and the installation company, I went with them.
When my swim spa was installed, things went pretty well. There was a bit of a glitch because of a misunderstanding between the person who was overseeing it and as to exactly where I wanted it positioned. But that was rectified. There was also a little bit of an additional charge for digging and when we had to have a crane over the garage to get the spa in properly. But it was a fair price and I was very happy with it.
I'm using the spa everyday essentially as a therapy pool that's why I'm keeping it warm at about 38.5 degrees, so it's warmer than body temperature. I'm also using it for a little bit of relaxation after I finish. I like the fact that it has the seats and that I've got one of those built-in connection for radio or music because that is really good when you're exercising rather than just swimming in it. And when the installation of the swim spa was underway, I had to go in and have further hip surgery, so it has been a Godsend.
One thing I don't like about the swim spa is the weight of the lid and that I can't get on and off myself. I have to get someone else to do that for me to open it. And because I'm just exercising, I'm only using it where it's open halfway. Also, it had a silicone insert in the headrest and somehow that dislodged and lodged itself in the filter system. So, maybe they could send me a new insert for my headrest. I noticed one of the side panels is a bit loose, too. It was bizarre because when it came out, it looked almost like one of those jelly children sandals. When it was fished out, it was very odd and nobody could figure out what it was and where it came from. It's also not the sort of thing you'd think would be loose.
The company that did the installation has also been handling the service for us, so they come once every two weeks and make sure everything's the way it should be. That has been really good because it took the load off my husband who would otherwise have had to deal with all that. It's a whole package that's why working with them has gone so well. I would recommend this swim spa to people. In fact, I was showing it to people this weekend and talking about it.

It will be a year in July that we've had our Marquis tub and it has been wonderful since it was installed. The spa was put in at a lake house while I wasn't there and we talked through everything on the phone. It was a new house, so that was an easy installation. The spa was perfect and exactly built. We're having a good time with it and I would recommend it. I like the top which is pretty easy. My wife wanted a swim spa for years and we're both chronic pain patients. We also both have osteoarthritis and she has acute neck problems and pain from being a cosmetologist for 40 years. Also, I got my knee replaced. We've always had spas and I enjoyed swimming and she's always wanted a small pool to get in and walk around in. It took a number of years before we decided on ATV Swim Spas and the product itself was good. However, it was really pushed by where we bought it. To make a sale they went above and beyond, said all the right things and made everything happen, gave us the discount and then talked a good talk. But as soon as the swim spa was installed, that was the end of it.
It was unfortunate because they had a sales rep and they promised he would come up and see it installed and help us set it up and help us with the chemicals. They just plopped down the chemical kit on the table outside and that was it. From that point, it was just zero service. They just disappeared completely. I placed phone calls and tried to get some help. Since we lost our computer-generated guide, the flash drive where the service manual is, we don't have a clue. I asked them to get me another one and their response was to go to their website and download it. That didn't work. I had to figure out on how to do set ups on my own. And then as far as the lifting lid, there was never any discretion about how big the lids are going to be and how heavy they were going to be.
Now my wife and I ended up spending a tremendous amount of money just getting in to the point where we were able to actually get in and out of the spa. That was never discussed and that did a real disservice to any client. The spa is enormous. It's 17 feet long, 6 feet tall, 8 feet wide and it has just a standard swim spa cover. We're getting older and we're retired, and even for young people who are strong, it's quite heavy. We invested a lot of money in putting a nice redwood pergola over the top with skylights and we put a wooden deck on one side with handrails and stairs to make it more accessible. And they didn't even make any attempts whatsoever to help us figure out how to lift those lids up and I had to do it all on my own. They never came up, never did any follow up calls, never asked if we like the spa and what we were doing, which to me, when you buy a $27,000 swim spa you would expect at least some follow up calls.
Other than that, it's a nice piece of equipment and so far my experience of it has been good. I look forward to spring and getting in and using it for what we bought it for and that is to rehabilitate my limbs. While my wife says it's wimpy compared to what we had - the jets for the back and everything are not we're used to and also you have to figure out which jets are on in the panel, it's a tradeoff I was willing to do because I wanted something that I could really move around in more than I wanted the spa. My wife gets in for three hours and enjoys the warm water and it's been there where you can get exercise - walk laps and swim in it. She likes having it and she's glad we bought it.

We got the ATV Swim Spa in December and it is a good spa. It's exactly what we needed. But it was difficult to get it in place. It was a lot of work. We live at the top of a long uphill driveway and it was a tight fit to get things through. And between the weight of the hoist that needed to move the thing in and the weight of the spa, it destroyed a lot of patio tiles so we’re going to have to redo that this spring. We did it without breaking any trees though. Still, there was one significant problem with it in the way we installed it. The thing can only be installed with the stairs going to the center of the unit and that absolutely couldn't work with the way we needed to put it in. We’re still trying to get the $1,200 stairs modified so that they can effectively come out away from the spa into the patio area.
We had a lot of interactions with our local dealer and they’ve been great trying to figure out how to remake parts of this and ordering the materials we needed from the supplier. But they sent the wrong stuff and there’s not enough of the right stuff. It's been well over a month and we're still waiting for the material to show up so we can redo this so that's not very good. But the spa itself is fabulous for its purpose.
Hello Mark,
We are aware of your situation and shipped the required items for your step within a few days of receiving the order from your dealer. We will contact them and find out if there was a problem with the shipment or if they need something else.

ATV Swim Spas was recommended to me by the dealer. I've had the swim spa for a little over a year now and I recommend somebody gets one too. It's a lot of fun and that was why I did it. For the installation, they had to pull it up over the house with a crane. I live in a little housing place and they craned it three stories up so I wanted to make sure it didn't fall. When they set it down before they were to go put it on the patio, the guy who was overseeing the project asked how much weight the patio can take. He said that we could set it on there but when the swim spa is full of water, the weight is going to crack the concrete because it wasn’t reinforced concrete. We found out just in time and we ended up getting an engineer. I had to get the whole patio taken out and a whole new pad put in with reinforced concrete. It was $7,000 for that and I've had a lot of people ask me if I would get it again and I say, "Hell, yeah."

The hot tub that came with the house wasn’t working and it seemed like it was going to take too much money to try and replace the parts it needed. The electric system wasn’t working and you couldn’t see the temperature or where to turn the jets on. It was also older, dirty and yucky looking. So we didn’t really want to invest money into an electronic system without knowing what else was wrong with it and keep putting money into something that was probably 10 years old. We chose to go with a new one and replaced it with a Marquis spa.
We were referred to a particular dealer in Manassas and they showed us some different things. Although they had some different brands, they seemed to really specialize in Marquis Spas. We wanted something that was nice but we didn’t want to spend a lot of money. The Marquis spa was a really good value because we were able to get something in our range but it has pretty much all the bells and whistles that we were looking for. We made the purchase last July and we have referred some friends but their drawback is that they didn’t already have the infrastructure. It was easy for me since we already had a hot tub on site. I already had the electrical in the house and the pad. But they’ve come and looked at ours a few times and they're pretty set on it. It was just a matter of money because they were going to have to do some real landscaping to find a level space in their backyard where they want to put it and put a retaining wall.
For our hot tub, the installers were in and out. It was very fast. Evidently, we had something that allowed it to be filled up in 25 minutes and then you could see it getting warmer really fast. You could practically use it the same day. I was really surprised by that because I thought it was going to take four days to get it up, get the water to rise, then go and heat it. But it was good to go in 24 hours.
If I have aches and pains from exercising, I would get in in the morning before I even go to work. It just soothes me up so it makes me start my day off better. We also have friends who have come over so we've had little parties every once in a while which is fun. So it's impacted my social life positively. But I wish we use the hot tub more. I thought my husband would use it more but he doesn’t. It's very low use. It's just me in there once or twice a week. But I still check the water everyday and I change my filters every week because I was told that that would help the life of the hot tub. And then I have a bunch of extra ones, which I clean and put back in. Every once in a while, we've had a little something quirky go on but I would just pull up the troubleshooting guide online and it would walk me through things. It's pretty low maintenance and self-explanatory on what to do if something needs to be tweaked up a little.

Everybody was very equipped and ready with what they had to do. And as far as scheduling and making sure that everybody showed up at the same time, it was great.
We've had the swim spa for about a year now and we really are so happy with it. My husband uses the row bars a lot and he really enjoys that. He had a hot tub before and he really enjoys the swim spa because it's easy to clean compared to his old version of a hot tub. ATV Swim Spas had three different sizes and most of the other competitors either had one or two. The middle size was the right one for us and most of the other ones didn’t have a middle size. It also had features like the multiple jets, the fountains and stuff for the kids. It's a full-featured product. We've had their product for eight months now and it's a high-quality product.
The one thing that's kind of weird is the cover. It's a silly design. It could definitely be redesigned to work a little better. They basically took two hot tub covers and just slapped two hot tub covers on top of it. So when I close it, the middle gap doesn’t come together right and it's costing me about 20 bucks a month on my power bill. Then when I open to cover it, it blocks my view out of both ends. It should have a hoist to flip it up on its side, not on the ends. It seems the design of it is a hack. But other than that the spa itself is great.
The installation was great as well. We had our whole backyard torn up so it was relatively easy. They backed the truck in and put the thing down on the slab and that was good. We use the ATV Swim Spa every day and our kids love it. My son has learned how to swim in there. We do a lot of sports so it was nice to get to the spa after we were tired and achy.

The closest town to us that sold swim spas had two different brands and I liked the one from ATV Swim Spas. The spa seats in the other brand were like bucket seats and I liked that the ATV's have a chair feel to them. I thought it was more comfortable. Where our house is located, there was no access for the installation so we got permission from a neighbor to use their driveway for this big boom truck crane. We bought a 14-foot spa and this huge thing flew through the air and swung over part of the house and over the fence. It was like the best part of a circus. We previously had workers put in a cement pad for it so it was ready. The neighbors being nice neighbors was a godsend and the people who installed it were great too.
The person at the local store where we bought it from had worked with our pool and he understands the mechanism of the whole. We'd say, "Oh, what's this?" And he would tell us not to worry. He was just a very handy guy to have. The quality of his service is a selling point for anybody that sells these. If they have great service people on hand to help out, then anybody would buy one. We had a good time with the installation and the spa worked fine. We've only had it since June but it's great. We had an outdoor pool before that we couldn't use it in the winter months but with ATV, I get to swim year round. I also liked the different speeds of the jets for the different strokes.

We had the Marquis Spas hot tub added on when we got our pool. We told the installers where we wanted it and we just watched them hook it up. It only took about an hour and it was good. The only thing is our bill said it was just going to cost us 20 bucks a month but I feel like it has skyrocketed. Other than that, it’s a good brand.

Marquis has the right layout as far as the actual configuration of the hot tub. The installation of our tub was good, and the installer did a fairly good job. And our tub has helped with my wife's aches and pains and stress, but it hasn't really helped me very much, unfortunately. I have fibromyalgia and it feels good while I'm in it, but when I get out, it kind of goes away.
I was out at the Marquis store yesterday picking up new filters because I have problems with the original filter, and they've been helpful. The local representative was a nice guy, but the local distributor could use some training in interpersonal skills. I don't mind if there are some kidding around, but there are limits. Other than that, Marquis is one of the options people should consider.

I was talking to a manager over at the hot tub place who talked very highly of Marquis. He said it is a great model so we jump into it. We've had our Marquis tub for a year and we're loving it. We like all of its features. The jets are fantastic and they’re not over-powering. It’s really easy to clean, too. The maintenance is really simple. If my friends ask about Marquis, I would tell them that for the money, they're going to get the best thing. The value of it is great.

We bought a Marquis tub and had it stored until my addition was built and we set it up in August. It has been real good with the people who sold it to me and helped me service it. And the installation was quick and painless. The tub has been super, especially over the winter. I go work out and when I get out from working out, I jump in my hot tub and it feels good. One friend that I know of went out and bought the exact same model.

Installing the Marquis hot tub wasn't an easy job but the person who managed it did a great job. I've got the Hot Springs now and this one. And maybe it's because we're not using the Marquis one frequently but it does a good job of keeping itself clean even though the inline sanitation system is useless. The things you put the cartridges in never managed to keep up with the demand for chlorine and I wound up doing the same thing I did with the Hot Springs one. So I wouldn't spend any money on that inline thing if I was going to do that again.
I've had the Marquis hot tub for over a year now but I've had three Hot Springs and I like the Hot Springs better. Maybe it's just something I'm more familiar with but I also liked the texture of the shell. It felt better when you're sitting in it. It comes down to personal preference though. I haven't had trouble with Marquis at all and I haven't had much trouble with the older Hot Springs ones either. They're both higher-end status and no matter which one a person finds more comfortable, it would be a wise decision.

The Marquis hot tub has been very wonderful and I was happy about our experience. We had a couple of issues where it came with a busted speaker but the dealer replaced everything that was wrong with it. The headrests in the hot tub molded up too. They were deteriorating and they weren’t even four months. But our supplier gave us some more with no charge. He was really awesome. I also like all the features the hot tub had. They're top-of-the-market and even my dealer was telling me how great they are. It also has this feature that buffs out your skin which is pretty cool. It doesn’t use hardcore chlorine either. You only need a tiny bit.
I've had the hot tub for eight months but we’re selling our home and it's sad that we’re gonna have to leave the hot tub here. It’s a good hot tub and Marquis Spas is a good brand. But the installation was tricky because I live over in the hills. It was big and it took around eight guys to get it in. It was crazy but we got it in. Henceforth, it’s living there and it’s not gonna go with us. But it was really worth it. If you got the money, go for it. It was actually purchased for me but my husband has trouble sleeping and he ended up using it. He loves it.

The installation of our Marquis Spas hot tub was good. They're a little expensive but everywhere is the same. And it has been good. The hot water and massage are my favorite. We use the tub at least thrice a week and we get relaxed. We work a lot every day and when we are so tired, we get in and we sleep better and rest, especially my feet.

I bought a hot tub from Marquis Spas back in May. Two guys brought it on a pickup and since I had some of my workers here that time, we had help getting it down where we needed it to be, which was a little bit difficult. Then they wrapped it off and it was quite simple to hook it up. I enjoy the hot tub a lot. It is very relaxing. My only complaint is the drain because it’s not on the very bottom, so when I drain it, I have to use a Shopvac to vacuum the rest of the water out. Still, I like the hot tub and I would recommend it.

We got our Marquis Spas during the beginning of summer and it had a few things that other brands didn't offer. The installers were extremely professional. We had a custom deck built for the hot tub, they put it in place, and they did a great job. And we absolutely love the MicroSilk which is an added feature and the raised cool down seat. We use it nightly and we've enjoyed it so everything's great. We would highly recommend it.

Also, the price was very competitive. When I do store purchases for chemicals through the Livermore store, their reps were very helpful as well. Maquis Spas is an excellent quality brand. Compared to other brands, the features and the quality of the Marquis tub seemed to be a little higher-end. I also liked the way I sat in it, the stick for the chlorine and the ease of adding chlorine and the minerals. This is the first hot tub we've ever had and we've had it for a year. It's easy to take care of, low maintenance, and doesn't have too many fancy stuff that one doesn't need and just don't work right. We've had Marquis as our hot tub provider for seven years now and I already have a second one. The installation process was very simple and the tub works well. I also go to the store when I need to replace things or buy chemicals, and the staff are fine.

Marquis Spas was our choice for a hot tub because of the price. Their install guy was great and did a really good job showing me everything. He also cleaned up after completing the installation. It's nice to get into the hot tub in the evening with all the aches and pains I get from working and doing things. The only complaint I have is it’s not hot enough. From what everybody has been telling me, the nationwide industry says that it’s supposed to be at 104. But to me, my wife and my high school and college athlete kids, 104 is just too cool and we just don't enjoy it. But as compared to the old Coleman hot tub we've had, the Marquis hot tub is a lot lighter, nicer and easier to maintain.

Marquis Spas is a decent brand. Their reps were great to deal with and the installation of the product went perfectly. I did most of it myself. Compared to my old hot tub, the pump volume of the one I bought from them seems a little lower as far as pressure. But some of the metal rings on all the valve diverters and air supplies started rusting so the company I bought it from came and took them all off. We bought our Marquis tub last summer and when it got cold it was costing too much to run it so we turned it down and we haven’t used it. During installation we did not have an easy location to put it. They had to come down a steep hill and go through a narrow path and get it to where the old tub had been but they did an excellent job. We picked a model from the showroom and it was on sale. New ones were coming out and so it had several hundred dollars off. That’s the reason we picked it. It was basically the least expensive one in the store and still met our needs. I was using it once or twice a week and it was really helping my aching muscles. I would recommend Marquis.

I've had a Marquis hot tub for six months now. It has super jets, which is my favorite part of it. They're located for the back, lower back, legs, neck, the full back and the feet. It shoots 44 gallons per minute which is like a fire hose. The hydrotherapy really gets deep into the muscle and feels good, especially for somebody who's had a back injury like myself. I was impressed with the system. I've already recommended it to several people who have not experienced really good hydrotherapy and they've skimmed it and they really like it.
However, I've had a lot of trouble balancing the water. The test markers that I have are a little confusing because sometimes the top two which are the colored indicators show that the spa is down and the other indicator with the pH and the alkaline says it's up. And so, I have not been able to crack the code on keeping it balanced. Also, I had trouble with the jet knobs. They turn so hard that my wife couldn't turn them. One broke off but the dealer replaced it with no problem.

A lot of people and my husband’s friends recommended the Marquis brand. This is the first time that my husband bought a Jacuzzi, and we bought it on Route 10. The installation was great, and I let the contractors do everything, and it was fine. We are very happy with the guy who sold us the Jacuzzi, and we go there all the time to do the test for the water. However, we had to clean the Jacuzzi the last time because the water was green. Maybe my husband put too many products. The guy recommended to my husband what he had to do, and we had to buy the filters and some things to keep the water clear.
I recommend Marquis to all of my friends who come to enjoy my Jacuzzi here. It's working very well, and when we have guests in the house, they like it. Some people say that we are going to have problems with the jets because the Jacuzzi has a lot of them, but not yet, and we use the Jacuzzi a lot. Everything is special with the Jacuzzi, so far, and I'm very satisfied with the spa.

I like using the hot tub after I lift weights because I get sore. My wife loves it too. The only complaint I have with Marquis Spas is that the screws that they put the speaker in with started rusting within two months. I went down, bought stainless steel screws and switched them out. They didn't even cost me $2. I don't know why they didn't put stainless steel screws in the speakers and then put the speaker with stainless screws. The screws are going to get wet and they're going to rust. If I had known what I know now, I would have bought a floating speaker for 50 bucks instead of paying the extra money for the sound system. I had a different hot tub brand before and the hot tub was a lot more expensive and a lot bigger. But I like the fact that Marquis doesn't have very much wood inside because the wood rotted with my other one.

Marquis' electricians seemed like they knew what they were doing and they're nice guys. Since the installation of our hot tub, I've been glad that we have it. Probably the only con is that the radio doesn't work as well as I think it should. However, we're out in the country a little bit so the radio doesn't come in as well as I like it to. Our hot tub was constantly breaking down and it wouldn't hold the water so we just stopped using it and thought, "Well, what we're going to do is do some research and then buy something new that has a warranty on it." That's where the Marquis came through. The lady we had bought it from was a very good salesperson. She really took her time and was patient with us. She explained all the great features of Marquis. We also ran into two different people that had Marquis and everybody seemed to be happy with them. The installers cleaned and helped out. I definitely needed a guy to take the jacket parts so that we can get it in a bit easier. But when I did that, I didn't remove the front panel. So, that was going to create a whole centerpiece for me. But they were nice enough to help me lift it up, get it in there and get it level. They were great and that went well. We've had it for about seven months now.
We have the insulated top hot tub and so far, it has been fun. It just amazes me how much you can fill it up and how it holds the water. However, it's hard to get the pH to balance correctly. I don't know if it's because of the water we have here in Casper but that was difficult. I still don't think I have it quite perfect but I like the filtration system. That helps how to keep that water clean as long as you put the chemicals in like you're supposed to on time. It also seemed not hard to maintain, which was part of their selling feature that I liked, and that seems like that has been the case. Overall, my experience has been great. So far, the spa itself has lived up to what the hype was. What we were told were true.
