It was very important to have someone who would back up the Marquis tub in case something happened and Grand Rapids Marine would stand behind it. They have been wonderful and a good company. We would also buy whatever they were selling. We had a different tub before and we like the Marquis better. We have it for about six months now and the kids love it. I would recommend it, too.

I did research on Marquis and made the purchase almost a year ago. The installation was great. Having the tub has made us more relaxed. My wife and daughter like the microsilk. I would highly recommend Marquis.

We've had Marquis Spas since May and so far, everything went fine. They were able to set up the spa for us and gave us everything that we needed. It was the first time that we’ve had a spa, so we had some questions on how to set it up and how to maintain it. They walked us through the process. It’s also helpful to have the literature that came with the spa itself. It has been a nice luxury item. However, we’ve gone through a lot of chlorine more than we had thought we would but it's part of the learning curve on how to maintain it. Overall, Marquis Spas is very easy to use and it is enjoyable.

I've had a couple of different hot tubs before and the Marquis one is a lot nicer. It definitely keeps the water cleaner and requires less work with the disinfection and mineral systems. Although you have to check it occasionally and make sure that you got the chemicals to it, the tub seems to just run and take care of itself. We also enjoy using the tub and we socialize with it. My kids like it and I use it almost every day for at least 15 minutes.
The dealer has been really good too. When the tub came, the delivery team set it in place and did a great job. Then I installed it myself. I have it for a year now and I haven't had any problems since. I'd definitely recommend it. I got a five-year warranty on it and hopefully, I never have to use it. If you want to spend the extra money, go with a Marquis hot tub. The little bit of extra money that it costs doesn't matter for the long term you have it.

We went to the store in Bridgetown to buy a pool and the gentleman there started showing us the style of the spa. My husband and I decided to change our mind with the spa instead of the pool. The installation was good. I have it installed in our beach house that we don't use often. However, the tub came in dirty and some pieces have holes. I complained to the manager and he was super nice and he came right away. He came over not once but three times. He fixed all the problem and taught us how to use it. He was incredible and we were happy.
But right now, it seems my spa is broken. The water is not going higher than 100. Even though the screen said it was supposed to be 100, the water is still in 64. The lady who I spoke to told me that I should fix the spa before they come in and try to fix it. She also told me that I’m going to spend $150. Before that, I kept looking at the filter to clean it up because she said sometimes this happens. But I believe my spa is still under warranty because we have it less than a year. I told them I’m going to be there for three weeks only and I will check it. I also told them that I will call them back so they can go with me and we can fix it.
My husband who has a back problem has been enjoying the spa. He said that his back felt better. He uses the hot tub all the time and it was good. But I did not have an opportunity to use it much. I would recommend Marquis Spas to people who are looking for hot spas. I had a very good experience with everybody in the store where I bought the spa.

There was a local dealer of Marquis Spas here in Bend. I liked the spa and I liked the price. They had the spa on the floor and they gave me a good price on it, so I bought it. The installers did a good job. They told me what to do about getting it filled up and what to do the first time getting the chemicals in it. I had to plug it in and turn it on.
I've had the spa for about eight months now and the only issue that I have is the filtering system. I have to change the filters quite often and they are expensive. We ended up cleaning them a couple of different times. The Marquis reps said that I did not have to clean the filter that often and they were surprised that I did but I do. The filters only seem to last about three weeks, then it starts getting cloudy and that was even with putting the temp pills in every day. We never had to do it that often with the hot tub that we had years ago. Nonetheless, I enjoy using the spa a lot. I get in almost every morning for about half an hour and it seems to help with the neuropsy.

Marquis is a great brand that has been around for a long time. And when I checked online consumer reviews, people said they had no problems with them for the long term. The hot tub's installation went fine. They brought it out, delivered it, set it up and it's been fine ever since. I use it 20 minutes every day. Overall, I like the quality of the Marquis hot tub. There are no gimmicks. I already had a couple of friends buy the same tub, so I highly recommend it.

I liked what Marquis offered compared to the others. The installation of the tub has been good. However, I had a problem with the heating element with it not working correctly. I had to have upgraded heating element installed. And then the first display was having issues too. This was brand new, not even a couple of weeks old, and there was moisture getting under the display but their reps came out and fixed that. The tub is for my stress reduction and family time, and we've enjoyed it tremendously. I'd tell a friend that the Marquis tub is good.

For four years now, we’ve had Marquis Spas and we replaced the old hot tub. It’s something we've implemented that works well for us. The Marquis team knew their product and they treated me well. They also answered questions. I helped the guy with the installation. The tub I had prior to the new one was the '06 model and it seemed better in quality and the jets were more stable. Right now, we’re having a problem with the jets turning themselves down without even touching them. There’s no friction to keep them where we put them and that's one I would like to see changed. My favorite feature is the hot water and the turbines moving the water is always a plus. We've got the MicroSilk and there’s some sort of recall or problem that Marquis is fixing with us in the cold temperatures in Wisconsin. They’re on top of that. I still feel Marquis is a good quality and I'd tell others to go for it.

I didn't enjoy the pressure tactics like, "This is the price if you act today" and that the salespeople wanted me to give them cash right then and there. I got the tub in September. I did all the prep work first such as pouring a concrete slab and running the electrical. Then the installers came and dropped the tub in place. I got the Epic and it's a very therapeutic spa. My favorite part is the high-flow jets. There's 260 gallons per minute jets and the other is 60 gallons per minute. Those really make a difference. There are a lot of hot tubs where the jets are very small that don’t really move the water and makes you feel itchy, but this tub kicks my butt and loosens me up, so it's a fantastic tub. Marquis Spas is my first hot tub, and it is amazing. I love it and will recommend the tub 10 out of 10.

My old brand and Marquis tub are apples and oranges. Marquis is 20 years newer, it has lights and stereo, has more powerful jets and is more comfortable. I bought it from Pomin's Hot Tubs in Tahoe City and they did a good job with the installation. Having it had a dramatic impact on my life. It's really good because the jets are super strong so it really eases the muscles. However, the fit and finish should be higher in quality for the tub's price. I noticed that the panels that go around the outside of the tub are probably a higher grade plastic but it is plasticky-looking and it bulges out of the tub so it doesn't look as good for the price I paid. Other than that, it was a good buy and I'd do it again.

Marquis had everything we wanted. We got the one that has two waterfalls in the back with scattered lights with the talking chair. It's a really nice one and the lightings are beautiful. We love it. Their installers brought the tub around the house and onto the slab we had laid for it. It was amazing how fast it takes. I couldn’t believe they were able to get it from the truck to the slab and get everything going, and the water started in it and hooked up. I was impressed.
Also, the staff at the showroom in Bluffs is absolutely fabulous. We had to go out with questions on new products that we read about and would this be better for it. They told us that if that’s what we want to do, we have to wait until we drain it like we're supposed to do a couple of times a year. So, we did that and we like the new products that we got. We went with the chloride this time and it's really nice. The tub was a little overpriced, but we're really impressed with the installation and the service that we got from the store and the quality of it. Marquis Spas has an absolutely wonderful feature and I like how easy it is to use. And, the top that came with it is easy for even me at my age to be able to take off by myself if I have to. So that’s a nice piece, too. We've recommended it already to people.

We had a second-hand spa before that was much smaller and it was a starter used model. The Marquis tub was much better and we've been happy with what we have. The installation of our new tub went easy. Then, we had to call the electrician and they hooked it up. But it was a little bit tricky learning how to do all the chemicals and stuff because I haven't done that before and still not sure that I have figured that part out.
It would have been a little bit nicer if they had somebody who knows what he's doing come over and run through all the buttons and all the chemicals. But the basic installation wasn’t a problem. Also, the team has been fine. They’ve been helpful. I can take my water in and they’ll test it free of charge and tell me what I need to do to it. I called them over the phone a few times because I had no idea what I was doing and they told me what should be done. Overall, it's been a good experience. They're enjoyable, and they helped us out with some of our aches and pains.

We had a hot tub when we lived in Washington up next to the Canadian border over by Idaho. Our average temperature there for six months out of the year was zero or below and that hot tub never raised our electric bill over $20 a month during summer or winter. It was so well insulated and we used it year round. When we moved to Scottsburg, my fiancé picked the Marquis Spas. We live by the coast where our temperature gets down to 38 degrees but the Marquis tub has raised our bill from $96 a month to $185 last month. It has no insulation.
Dennis, the guy from the outlet store that sold it to us, came out and checked it because I was unhappy with it and its performance. It was running all the time and doing strange things. When he took the cover off, there was one tiny thin piece of aluminum foil that is used for insulation. I told him it was ridiculous, but he said that it was supposed to be super-duper space age insulation. They can't just throw a piece of foil in it and have air at the top and at the bottom. It flops around in there and it's loose. That is not insulation and I would not recommend the Marquis tub because of that. The tub should have insulation that keeps the air out and we’re going to insulate it ourselves. Also, the weather is warming up now and I'll see what our next bill is.
Other than the electric bill issue, we enjoy using the hot tub and my interactions with the Marquis team were all right. Dennis doesn’t ever get back to me unless I nag him a little but he came out when I called him and answered my questions. He’s also been really good in helping us because we’re on well water and we had a tough time getting the chemical thing down right. But we finally have that under control. I've talked to the people at the factory, too, and everybody was helpful over the phone. There were some things that they couldn’t do anything about but they answered my questions.
Sincerely,
Marquis

I liked Marquis Spas' ergonomics and more than anything, we liked the arrangement of the seats as the recliner positions were not super low. One of my wife's complaints about another spa she had previously was that it was reclining low so she'd float up too easily. The Marquis spa has you sit up more upright and their recliner seats seemed to be designed better. We worked with Premium Hot Tubs and they have excellent service. The tub was installed quickly and efficiently. The installers did a good job setting it up. We use the spa at least a couple of times a week. It's very relaxing and we enjoy it a lot. We love our tub and I highly recommend it. As a matter of fact, we already did because one of our neighbors bought one too.
Although, I have one easy design suggestion on the jets on the hot tub as I’m always turning the jets higher to get the most pressure of the water that comes out every time I use the tub. They turn on their own so the pressure of the water that comes out makes them turn involuntarily. But for some reason, they keep reverting down. If Marquis could make it a clickable type of option so that it would stay in place and not move, that would be a great feature to have.

I dealt with Colley Pools and the lady we worked with was very helpful and knowledgeable. She didn't bash other companies and she stuck to what the pros of buying a Marquis tub were. And I wasn't pressured. They were very much about promoting the Marquis tub and just letting me, the consumer, make my decision. Also, getting it installed was painless and easy. The installers were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.
The tub's quality and reasonable cost for the features that it had gave it value. The version we bought didn't have a lot of extra bells and whistles but we weren’t looking for that. We were looking for the jets, the comfort level, and its therapeutic level. The tub is well-built and durable. The winters can be rough here in Western New York but my friends who have the Marquis tubs have not had any problems with it.
The tub has been awesome and relaxing. It's such a therapeutic piece of equipment to have at the house and I look forward to using it in the evening. It relieves the stress physically and then with that, the mental stress eases away, at least for that time that I'm sitting in the tub. In addition, it has a minor impact on utilities and cost of chemicals for upkeep. It's a good purchase and I would definitely recommend Marquis to any friends or family.

I’ve seen Marquis around in various places we had stayed over the years. There was a barbecue and spa place locally here in Redding at the Mt. Shasta Mall, Shasta BBQ & Spa. They had Marquis products and they looked really good. I also buy my chemicals from them. They were very helpful and wonderful. We've had our Marquis tub since July. The local dealer came and delivered it. They answered any questions we had and helped us with the chemical set-up. We had a licensed electrician come in and set it up at 220 and set in the breaker. It went pretty smoothly and the hardest part was actually cropping the area.
Having a hot tub has been really life-changing as far as my level of back pain and things that I was experiencing beforehand. It’s been a wonderful experience and everything was really pretty straightforward. I wish the digital display could be a little bit more straightforward though, as far as getting to the different functions. It’s a very simple, basic display. Other than that, I love my Marquis tub and everybody should have one.

My other tub was old so the Marquis is a much nicer tub. However, it's been a rough experience for me because I wanted to have a brand-new tub and not have any problems. I’ve had my Marquis since September of 2016. The installation was fine and my interaction with the installation team was all good. The delivery was quick and there was no problem with the setup. The problem with the tub was when it was delivered, it had water in the bottom, and that water had been sitting there long enough to grow some kind of bacteria in it called biofilm. It was white slime and the regular hot tub chemicals could not kill it so it took eight months of dumping the tub every month. The water would last about two weeks and then start showing this stuff again.
The installation people tried lots of different things and they put a whole bunch of chlorine. They overloaded it with something and that finally took care of the problem but the chlorine damaged things in the tub. It damaged the cover, all the buttons, all the pillows and even the gel code. There's an area in the tub where the installer poured it in and got it on the tub above the water line that is now white instead of brown like the tub. It's a giant headache. I got it in September so I was dumping the tub every month. Last year, we had a terrible winter so it was five to ten degrees outside when I was dumping the tub and trying to keep it warm enough to refill it. Other things were damaged and it's been a big problem.
The people that sold me that tub were great but the problem is I've got a damaged tub now and I paid almost $10,000 for it. I haven't even gotten back to them about it because this was the first run of three or four months without having any problem with my water. It did something weird again recently so I dumped it again on Saturday. I got to use the tub for three or four months without an issue. We didn’t get to use the tub the first six or eight months because the water would be okay for a couple of weeks and then we'd start seeing stuff again. Overall I'm disappointed in the whole process. The tub should be replaced. I went back to where the tub was delivered and had water in it. They told me that it's normal because they test them at the factory. I'm dissatisfied and it's been a bad year for us. The tub's cool but I had all these particular problems and I ended up with a damaged tub that works.

There was a sound system in it that malfunctioned within the first two weeks, and we had to have support come out. It was a faulty circuit board that had to be replaced. But, other than that, it has been a good experience with Marquis.

I've had my Marquis tub for seven months now. The tub is built like a tank and it’s got powerful jets. It doesn’t have a modern look to it, though. It was installed for us and installation went flawlessly. However, I had issues with the filters and it broke off. I was a little disappointed about it because we haven't had the spa that long. But I called the dealer who called Marquis and dealt with it for me. They sent someone out and they didn’t charge me for that. However, they charge me for new filters. They said that they called Marquis, and Marquis said, “When you install them, you’re not supposed to install them snug.” They're supposed to do a quarter turn loose and no one instructed me to do it that way so they broke off. Other than that, since having the hot tub, I’m enjoying it and I’ve been using it a couple times a week. It’s good for working out with sore muscles.

I fixed my house up and built a new deck on the back just for a hot tub. My doctor recommended me getting one because of neck injuries. I got a Marquis spa and since the spot for the tub was already prepared, the installation took less than an hour. I wasn't paying any attention when they were telling me about the chemicals as I was too excited about getting in. So, for the first couple of months, I was nervous in not knowing how to do the chemicals and how much to do it. One time it got really foggy and I thought that I wasn't doing something right, so I took a sample of the water to where I bought it and they told me what to do. Now that I got it figured out, I find it to be very simple and really easy.
I love my Marquis spa and I miss it when I'm travelling. When I'm home, I jump in it every morning after I get up and make a cup of coffee. And I'm also in it when I get home from work. The guy I buy chemicals from told me I'm getting too much chemicals and asked how often I use the spa. I told him that I use it 4-5 times a day and he said, "No wonder." So, I'm getting my money's worth out of it. When I fill it up, it takes over a full day to warm because I have a 110. To me, my tub is a personal thing and I don't want a lot of people in it. My parents got in it but I don't want my neighbors and friends jumping in it. I keep it because it's my body and my body chemicals that's in it so I don't share it with anybody. And then, I recommended Marquis Spas to my friend and told him that the tub is the best thing for my neck, and he also bought one two months ago.

We really like our Marquis Spa a lot and would recommend it. The only thing I have against it is when their installers came, they hooked everything up and just left. They did a good installation and told us a couple of little things. However, they didn't explain them very well. They didn't tell a whole lot on upkeep. They just ran through a few things really quick and that was it. They should have made sure we understood, showed us exactly how to do it, and then we would be okay. This is a whole spa that we have, so we’ve got to figure out everything and know what we're doing.
Other than that, our grandkids came and the first thing they want to do is go in the hot tub. My husband then checked it before they got up there and it's all cloudy and he couldn't figure out why. I told him that he might have put in the wrong amount of chemicals, but he insisted he did it just like he always does. It was the only time he said anything to me about it. Everything went well and the service tech got it set up nicely. We look forward going to our lake house for the weekend and enjoy our hot tub. It provides us relaxation in the evenings where we can set out in the lake and the stars at night. It is emotionally soothing.
We had chlorine on the previous tub while we did bromine with the Marquis, and we’ve had more difficulty stabilizing the chemicals on it than we did with chlorine. It's also a little awkward getting in and out of the Marquis due to the design at the bottom of the hot tub. Whenever we step in the tub, there seems to be a rounded surface. There should be a consideration of a step but that might take away from a seat. Other than that, we're considering purchasing another Marquis hot tub at our other home. I’m not very tall and the one spot in this spa where I can sit and get the massage on my back, my head is under water. My husband is a lot taller than me so for him, it’s perfect. I have to go out and try to find some kind of cushion that has a stand in it so that I can sit on it and not have the cushion float away on me.

I had a Marquis tub 10 years ago but in-between, I had a Sundance spa, and the Marquis spa is better in many ways. It compares favorably, but the current one that I have, which is their top-of-the-line, has its disappointments. We have the music and speakers as a part of it but if you sit, you block the speaker. There's also something wrong with the remote, which I think, could have been easily taken care of. There’s an information display on the hot hub, and the display for the radio should be incorporated into that. Rather, they have it on the side where you can’t see it. And even if it wasn’t blocked by the hot tub lid, you'd have to put your head over it and go upside down to see it. It's poorly placed. But that is not the worst problem. The jets are so loose that when you lean up against them, inevitably you will cut them off yourself. Some companies have them where you can barely move them.
It's beyond me that Marquis would let something like these happen. And when I first got the hot tub, I had a guy come out from Marquis and he said the jets would eventually become firmer. It hasn't happened and it has been six months. When you pay $13,000 for a hot tub, it should be perfect from day 1. I didn't have these troubles from my previous Marquis tub. They should absolutely fix the issues. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend them to others. Nevertheless, the therapy is wonderful. The cleanliness of the water is superior to Sundance as well.

I heard good things about Marquis, and I stopped at the place that I bought it from last July and it worked out. The installers made things easy for me and took care of everything. Moreover, they explained how the tub worked. They were professional, knowledgeable and customer-oriented. The hot tub is very relaxing and I'd recommend buying one.

The installers of my Marquis Spas hot tub were knowledgeable. They set the tub up, showed me how it worked and how to take care of it. The installation went smoothly. I enjoy the hot tub and I like the way it makes my body feel no matter what the weather is outside. I enjoy the atmosphere when I’m out there. I’m totally happy and I would surely let others know that this tub is a great addition to any home.

I met the owner of Pool Productions and I was very impressed by him. Their showroom shows off Marquis Spas products greatly and we liked the look of the Celebrity tub. I also liked its size, seating and number of jets. The installation and tech people were well-versed with the product too. We put the tub outside and it's very convenient. We use it a lot and I feel more relaxed. My wife takes care of the tub and it’s quite simple. She has it down to a routine.

We bought our Marquis tub and the installers were very friendly but they didn’t fill up the tub or plug it in for me. I had to do that myself which I was kind of in the blind but it all worked out. Also they were supposed to come back and put up my umbrella which they did not but that’s all right. We use our Marquis tub four times a week for relaxing. It’s a great product and unlike the Japanese ones all the parts are made in the USA so the warranties are here and you don’t have to send out for anything. We’re all patriotic.

I had another hot tub brand before I bought a Marquis. My old one was was a six-person tub but the Marquis is bigger. However, I constantly have cloudy water and I did not have that problem with my old tub. I keep tabs on it and there's a handful to do, while I have not had to keep nearly as close track of with the old tub. It was an easy installation. I worked with the installers a lot and they were very responsive. At first, I thought there was something wrong due to the cloudiness, but they assured me and said that it's not the same as my old tub and that I just had to keep straight tabs on it. We don't use it very often though because that tub is at our lake house, so we use it more when we’re out there, particularly in the summer. We haven’t been out there very much recently but I expect in the summer, it will be used a lot. We loved it, it's a good tub and I'd recommend it.

Marquis is far better compared to the hot tub I had before. Being a plumber, I keep everything all set to go for installation and I got the other tub out of the way. All they had to do was roll the new one in and lean it over as I already took care of everything else. Not to mention, it's inside of a garage. But the tub is expensive and there’s a lot of tubs out there that one can get for a lot less money. If it wasn’t for a specific layout that we wanted, we probably would have bought somebody else’s because it was that high a price. Also, the motor has gone out in the Marquis tub in the 2 years I've had and it was replaced. Then it went out again and so another motor's coming again. But I went through eight motors in my previous tub, and so the Marquis tub is a good tub.

We were looking at a couple of different Marquis models and I wanted the higher end one. We bought it and when they brought the tub, I was very much surprised on how they showed up with a very small trailer with it overhanging -- I assumed that there would be a bigger vehicle. The two little skinny guys, smaller than me, unhooked the trailer and by hand took the trailer down my side yard, and I was thankful it did not get away from them and end up all the way down over the hill into the creek. Then, I helped them too on the slowing of the trailer.
They got the tub thing right into the place where I wanted it and my nephew came over the same day and we wired it that night. I started filling it once the wiring was complete and I figured that was going to take two days, but I was surprised it took about two and a half hours. It has been a wonderful experience. I had cataract surgery in January 17 and I have not used it since January 16. Since then, I have changed the filter. There is a little insertion thing in the one corner, like a charcoal thing, and also like a stop where I put in the chlorine.
There was initially a software that was in my iPhone that was hooked up to my hot tub to control the hot tub and see what it is doing at any point in time. When Apple updated their software to iOS 11, as I was updating it when it got to the end, it said that there were there were four programs that have not been updated by the provider that were compatible with the new operating system. The only app I had on my phone is a Marquis hot tub app. It needs to get updated to be compatible with iOS 11. We downloaded the software and I had trouble pairing the phone with the hot tub and the reason was that our cable box is all around the front door of our house and the hot tub is all the way down on the basement level.
Furthermore, it’s almost a straight line from my WiFi box to the hot tub. I got one a range extender deals for walking an in-house Wi-Fi and I put it down in the basement. We synced-up like an iPhone to the radio system on the tub. It works fine now, however, right when my supplier sent me the link to set up the Wi-Fi on the unit is when they updated it and now, it does not work. I can open it but it doesn’t pair. It’s not compatible with the current operating systems.

I got a couple of boys and we really enjoy our Marquis Jacuzzi. It was sold to us by a local shop that I’m familiar with. When it was installed, the installers gave us the time of when they were going to the house and they were pretty accurate about that. They were informative and went over some of the setups with us like what was required from our end and the maintenance stuff. The installation went well but we had a few issues with the hot tub. The full package deal that we got came with a sound and I assumed that the screws that were used for the speakers that are on the top of the Jacuzzi were waterproof. But they have already rusted in a matter of months. That was really bad to the point where there was rust going down the side of the Jacuzzi.
I contacted the company I bought the Jacuzzi from four or five times in the last six to eight months and they said they were in contact with somebody through email so I assumed that they were addressing my concerns. But this issue still hasn’t been resolved. Other than that, we have the tub for about a year and it is very good. It comes with a bit of upkeep as far as filters and checking fluids in levels, but I’ve seen the benefits of having a warm place to get soaked in and it outweighs the work that comes along with the maintenance. We got a smaller model that just plugs into the normal outlet, so it is very convenient to use and that is what we were looking for. We also keep the temperature low enough so that my boys would not be in danger or at health risk.

I was in the army for 24 years so I have a lot of hip, knee and foot problems. There are days when I can barely walk because of my arthritis. I had a prescription for hot tub therapy, and we went to Waco but the tubs were way overpriced there. Then we came to the Belton dealership and they were really nice. We had certain measurements we had to go by because the tub would go in our sunroom. We saw the Marquis that was on the broadway and it was a perfect fit. The other competitors wanted $15,000 to $20,000 for the same thing we got from Marquis for $6,000. It was like you’re buying a name and I’ve never been a name person. I sat in the tub and checked it out. They do a wet test too. It was the perfect size and it was exactly what we wanted and needed.
During the installation, I had to take the doors off my sunroom to make room for the tub because there was half an inch to spare to get it through the doorway. The installers delivered it, set it up and they helped position it for me. They gave me a whole class on maintenance and taking care of it as well as how often we should clean it. They were great. The tub was pretty much plug and play. I got the one that could either be 120 or 220. We just plug it into the outlet on the wall and it works great. Usually, I use the tub at the end of the day and it really helps keep my arthritis and its symptoms down.

We got a high-end hot tub from Marquis Spas thinking it was a little bit better quality than some of the other companies. However, we had some issues with it and needed to have it serviced twice. Its sides are like panels and a couple of them became twisted at the point where they put in a bar that helps with the one-handed closure of the lid and lifting of the lid. Somehow, it had pulled away from the actual unit and was exposing the backside of it so it had warped essentially and we dealt with the local retailer to come and fix that. Then, the second issue had to do with the lights. It has lights that show up in different colors, but it was odd that a couple of lights will show red and some were more of a bluish color so they were not consistent and we need to get it resolved as well.
Also, we've been struggling with keeping the spa not cloudy and we've done everything that the local retailer said to do and it’s still not working so it's quite frustrating. My husband had a pool when we lived in Colorado and we've never had these much problems with the water becoming cloudy. In general, the spa is good but because of the light issue happening within the first year, it makes me question its overall quality and I'm cautious at this point that it's going to hold up.

I had trust and faith in the dealer that I purchased the Marquis tub from about a year ago. The installation was great and their team has been very responsive. They had a fitting though that they ended up not tightening up properly so we had a very slow leak but they came right back and repaired it. We've always enjoyed the tub and overall, it’s a pretty nice product. It's outdoors so we don’t use it quite as much as we do in the summer. I'm not one to be going out in ten degree air but when it's in the 30s, I'd go out and use it and it has been enjoyable. But the spa is split in two and I have an issue with that. There are multiple seats and one of the pumps runs very well, has plenty of flow, and has a nice therapeutic action. But the other side doesn’t. It’s what goes through the filter system and even with removing or changing the filters, it just does not have the volume or flow or therapeutic action that the other side does.

We had to have a receptacle installed outside that would accept 120. But at 120, the pump and the heat can't run at the same time. We had to pay a lot of money to have it redone to 220. It cost us a lot more money than we had anticipated, and the installation took a lot longer than from when we purchased. They told us it would be weeks, but it was much longer. Also, the light function is not working properly. It's stuck on two colors. Other than that, we love our tub. Even in the cold weather, we've been going out and using it. I just went in their outlet and they gave me some really good advice on taking care of our spa. We previously had a tub from a different brand. The Marquis hot tub has more jets and it’s just a higher quality. Installation went really well. When they got it here, there was a little tear on the bottom part. But it went through where they put it anyway. The installer is supposed to come up today to paint the other part that was still torn because we get a lot of yellow jackets and we don’t want them to go inside and start making a nest. He was supposed to send the kiddo out the weekend after we bought it but that never happened. So when I bought some chemicals, I reminded him and he said he would be out this way.
My husband uses it more than I do. He’s had three back surgeries, and our spa makes a big difference. We walked in and the people were extremely friendly. The store didn't open up until noon and it was only 11:00 o'clock then. I was walking back to the truck when the owner pulled up and asked if we were interested because if we were, she'd open up and let us in. I told her that we were so she let us in, and said, "My son is a wonderful salesman. I can show you some but he's the one that does the sales. Let me call him right now and I'll get him to work right now. We don't live far away." She called him and within 10 minutes, he was there. They were extremely nice.
We looked at a bunch of different spas that they had and were impressed with one and went forward with it. The installation was extremely easy. The only thing we had to do was to make sure that we had a level spot to put it on. I built a platform for them to set it on. They delivered it and the installer put it right on the platform and installed it. He put the cover together and we were good to go. The installation team was excellent and friendly. They asked us how we want it situated and they put the tub exactly where we wanted it. They also explained a few things so it was all good.
However, we called them the next day because some of the jets were not working. Over the phone, they explained to us about the valve that's on top, that when I turn it, it turns on different jets. It was shut all the way off and they said they could have somebody out the next day but they walked us through it. They said, "Okay, well if you have any other problems with the tub, and we'll be more than happy to come out." The spa is nice and we had a good experience with Marquis. I'd go with them again. Everybody that has seen the spa and the way we had it set up, with the gazebo and lights, was really impressed with it. When I had company come over and get in it, they loved it.

In 1996 I was looking for a spa and I went to this store and Marquis was the only brand that they sold. I ended up buying a different brand, Sundance, because it was a little cheaper but I wished I bought the Marquis one. When that one broke I decided to go take a look at Marquis again. I bought the Broadway, which is one of their lower-end lines because I couldn’t afford that much. It’s not expensive. The Sundance had two pumps so it was a little bit stronger but I like the Marquis tub itself better. When they installed it though, one of the tubes was bent, so air wasn’t getting through it. I fixed that myself.
Another issue I had was that the instructions weren’t clear. The tub itself comes with a plug, so I could plug it into a regular electrical socket, but I don’t get all the features. I hooked it up to 220, which is a direct connection to an electrical line because I get more features that way, but the manual wasn’t very clear on how to set the switches. I called Marquis to verify the switches and they knew exactly what I was calling about which was fine. I had an electrician come out but he couldn’t get it to work too. Then the next day I called the store I bought it from and through trial and error their rep figured out how to do it. The instructions should have been clearer on how to convert it from 120 to 220. Other than that the tub serves its purpose so I’m happy with it. It helps out with my muscle aches and it makes things a little bit more enjoyable. Check it out. It’s definitely a good investment.

I love the hot tubs and the kids love it. I'm the dad and I noticed right away the quality of the drain and the pumping system of the Marquis that we have. I was in awe when we first got our Marquis tub, but its quality isn't the same as Sundance. Although the Marquis is a bigger spa. We had a solid wood cabinet in the other one with insulation that was just intense. On the other hand, the Marquis has a plastic frame. We've only had it for six months now and we're going to get around to changing up the whole thing. I have an inch and a half drain outlet on the Sundance. But the Marquis only has the standard garden hose so it'll drain a lot slower. And the Marquis hot tub doesn't have the hardware and the gauges that stop your black water from just spewing out all over you. Also, the water goes over because I didn't put it on the level when it's empty with water. But that's my fault because I didn't put it as level as I should.
I like that I bought my Marquis tub local from the only Mom and Pop place in town and they're great. They have dealers that are knowledgeable and who are presenting their product and providing support and repair. Their rep came out on his day off to deliver the tub. He also came out and work on my Sundance a couple of times. Now they carry Marquis, and they're trained in how to repair these products and I feel very comfortable that if I have any kind of a problem with it I know that these guys would still come and help me fix it out. We had our other hot tub for 22 years but when we asked about the life expectancy of the Marquis, they said it was just for 7 to 10 years. We had not moved in yet but I had to be there when they were installing the tub. They had to bring it in with a crane and they set it in place. They didn't fill up it up with water though and we ended up doing that.
We have a covered deck and we decided not to put the hot tub under the covered part so we could see the stars. A cool thing was that we were in kind of the line of totality for the solar eclipse that took place back in August. We sat in the hot tub and watched the solar eclipse with our safety glasses on as if was like 10 o’clock right off our back patio. The spa is a good product and we like it very much. I definitely recommend it.

The reps from Marquis Spas came out and looked before they ever brought the spa out to make sure everything would fit and if the electricity was right. They were very good and very nice people. I got a real sloping yard and the installers got the spa around there easy and got it set up. The installation worked out good. I've been extremely happy with their customer service. They've been great to work with me on testing the water and getting it right. It’s a very nice spa and I like it.

Our neighbors have Marquis. They’ve had it forever and loved it. And when we got one for ourselves we liked the salesman, the price and that it was built and made here in Oregon where we are so if we ever had a problem with it, it's a locally-owned, employee-owned company and supports our local area. We previously had a Sundance Spa and I felt like the quality wasn't awesome. Then when we asked for people to come it wasn’t like the address was their own. They outsourced a lot of their stuff and there was no ownership for any of the issues that we had.
I also appreciated that when I walked in at the Marquis store and said, "What's the bottom line? Give me your best sale price. We can do this now, we can buy it," they were just very amenable and it was simple. Also the installation went fantastic. The installers were very nice, very helpful and didn't ding anything. They used a crane and put the tub right where we told them to. My husband uses our Marquis tub almost every day and then the rest of us use it for fun. But it's been very helpful for his back and just for general relaxation before bed. He would say he can't live without it now, now that he has it. We've already sent a few people to the store where we bought our Marquis.

We got a Marquis Spas this summer. We went to a number of different places, and their staff was just really helpful and friendly. And they had tubs there that you could kind of sit in, and see how you fit in them. So, we had been looking for a while and then I came across this one tub. I like the shape of it and how I fit in it. Also, I like the value that they had for it. So we went back and forth between our top two and picked that one. The place where we bought the tub from had the installation team. They also had an electrician that we could choose. And so we chose an electrician and they did the wiring.
The installers then delivered the tub and hooked up everything. That worked well so I went back to the same place to get all my chemicals. Their customer service is really good, after all. So far, we love it. My wife was even asking why we waited so long. We liked it so much that we're using it five times a week. We just go sit in there and look up at the stars. Although, I wish they had a feature that would turn off the light on the control panel. It's always on so if you're out there looking at the stars, you got that light shine on your face. We have to put our washer right over it, so it could darken up to let your eyes adjust and see the stars better. It would be nice to have an off button for that panel.

Marquis Spas' biggest asset is the people behind this brand at the retail level. The store in Mishawaka, Indiana was the third one we went to and within five minutes, I knew we would be buying from them because of the people who were there and their service. They were low pressure, answered all questions and treated my family respectfully. Those were what I needed to make a buying decision.
For the installation, we had some pre-requirements that we needed to get ready as far as electrical stuff. Then they set a delivery date, showed up and set it all up. They put the tub in exactly the right spot where it was square and filled it. Then they walked me through the initial set up, the chemicals and how to operate it. The equipment itself is very simple to use and the installation was seamless. The hot tub is very enjoyable and has made a positive impact. Typically, in the mornings before work, I'm out there by myself then in the evenings, my wife and I use it. Anytime in between, any of my three kids and a friend could be using it.

I had a cheaper tub and it lasted about two years, then its pump went out. I have some issues with my bones and I wanted to get another hot tub because it helps a lot. When I was in the mall, I saw that Marquis had opened there. I started talking to the reps and ended up buying one. The young men that came out and dragged it in did a really good job installing it. Setting it all up was quick and easy. Though, I’ve had one issue with a leak in one of the vents. They told me to raise it up until the part came in. So I did, so it's higher than the water level. They ordered me another one, and they called for me to go pick it up. They said they'd come out and replace it but I told them I'd do it since it's a piece of cake. I have stage four metastatic prostate cancer, so it's a big deal to barely get in it in the morning and the evening. But the tub does wonders for me and I love it. As long as the pump doesn't go out, I’m happy. I would recommend Marquis, for sure.

I've noticed that when I sit in a hot tub almost every day like I do, I hardly get sick. I’d get colds but it never hits me as hard as it normally would. Breathing in the steam is probably good too. I used to have Nordic’s Rendezvous. It was a big tub and was their top of the line. It went down for about four months so I was without a hot tub for quite a while. And then I got a Marquis and I was so happy to get a hot tub back. The jets on it aren't as powerful though. But other than that, I like it. It's more comfortable to sit in. But it's not as big as the one I had. It's only a four-person tub while the other one was an eight-person. Also, the other one had two pumps and two filters while this one is just a single. I also like the LED fiber optic lights being all the way around the tub rather than in one spot, like my other one was. I have the Marquis for about four months now and I use it almost every day.
I got it from Luther Stem Pools and I deal with them directly when I've got issues. They know everything. I never had an issue that they couldn't answer. I told them about the tub foaming up. I've got to drain it and clean it again, but it's too cold out. Their guy told me what that issue was. He also told me that they're trading out from their bromide crystals, which we normally put in, to chlorine. And he gave me the stuff for free to switch it over.
The only thing is that during the installation they noticed that my ground fault breaker that I needed to put it in with was fried out and not working good. Getting another one was a pain in the butt because there isn't one available where I live. I found one fairly close but it cost me $130, which is twice as much, because of the fact that I live out in the middle of nowhere. The team could have helped me with that but we would’ve had to wait. I live 50 miles away and they had to drive to come out but they waived the fee for coming out and installing the tub. So, I bought the breaker and they put it in for me and got everything hooked up.
I’ve recommended Marquis Spas to my cousin who was looking for a tub. I sent them to Luther Stem and told them to look at the Marquis one that I got. They really loved the little waterfall and everything that’s in it. I also told them to go over everything with the reps. And in terms of financing, they went through Arvest, who I happened to deal all my stuff with. Everything was pre-approved and that made everything nice.

We bought a new home and there was an old hot tub there that didn't work. Everything was wired so the installers just came in, put the new tub in and turned it on.
The knowledge of the reps was good but when they installed it, I thought someone was going to be there to explain how to balance the water and use the different chemicals. The head guy wasn't there so the installers told me to call somebody and have the guy come out. It would have been good if the head guy was there while we were setting it up. We plugged it in, filled it and it started working right away. We were also amazed at how simple it was and to have it up and running quickly.
We got it in August and we've used it at least about thrice a week since then and it was great. We live right outside of Philadelphia so it's cold now and we were in the middle of New Year's morning having champagne. We ended up replacing our old Marquis hot tub with a new 6-person Marquis. It has been good so far and we like the waterfall and the LED light features. Plus, we were particular about the positioning of the seating in it. Most of the ones we tested were built for very tall people, so the water level doesn’t work if used by someone shorter than average, so the seating configuration was a big deal, as well as the positioning of the water jets. Moreover, the installation crew was great. They showed up exactly on time and got the hot tub set. They were very informative on suggesting how to rotate it.
The Marquis hot tub has been a great enjoyment and we are not disappointed with our purchase. We even had a house full of people and everybody enjoyed it in the cold winter. They said sitting out in the hot tub was fun. However, we still struggle with the chemicals. We've play around with them all the time and the whole process of getting the right chemicals seems a little bit cumbersome.
We ended up determining that we didn't like the style of one tub and we got that replaced. However, the motors started to get a little louder and vibrating a lot. There are two levels to each jet and one of the motors goes "thum" and "brrr" when you hit the second level. We had the dealership come out and they insulated it a little bit. We have a large family of 6. Some of us have really short upper bodies, some are tall, and others are five years old. So we liked that there are a variety of different seat positions and heights with the Marquis hot tub. We liked the company that we bought it from. They did an amazing job with giving us the laminated handouts about how to maintain the chemistry that was really easy to follow. They also had very friendly customer support reps who weren't pushy, were really knowledgeable and helped us think through some of the things that we would want to consider, especially since we were first-time spa purchasers.
The installation was very easy, too. The installers were very helpful and they did great. They had some challenges because we had the spa set up at the same time that our pool was being built so we didn't have the spa down yet. Plus, there were remnants of the hurricane that hit the Texas coast that had come through here. So, they navigated through a huge mud pit to get it in place and the men were the only ones covered in mud at the end of it.
It was a seamless experience and we're thrilled with the result. We have the spa for five months now and it's been great. I and three of my four children have a genetic condition that comes with a lot of muscular-skeletal pain which could cause blood pooling, so being in the spa has been really helpful. The biggest driving factor for us going with a Marquis was the gentleman that we bought it from at Tim's Pools and Spas. We had gone to the big stores like Watson's and looked at the different spas. We weren't crazy about the seating arrangement on a couple of them, but we also did not know what we were looking for. We went to Tim's Spas and the guy there showed us the important things to look for. He really explained things better and educated us on the spas. We did wet tests on some and he encouraged us to take our time. He has three of them in store with water in them, even the other ones that we were considering out of the Marquis models. He would have a seat in them just in our clothes so he could see if the lounger fits or doesn't fit us well. He took his time and made sure we had all the seating arrangements we wanted. He only carries Marquis and one other brand.
When I got home, I researched them for a few days and looked at pros and cons of Marquis versus Hot Springs versus Bullfrog. Across the board, Marquis is what people were very happy with. Also, the guy at Tim’s speaks highly of the Marquis. He encouraged us to get it saying they are the best ones out there. He also wanted to know if it was for personal use or if we thought we would be using it for entertainment. He asked us so many questions so, by him doing that, we were able to find one that really met our needs as far as what we intended to use it for. We got it towards the end of September and we're very happy.
We had the tub installed outside, on our stand concrete patio. Four gentlemen got it out and set it up and then one of them explained to me because I did not know a thing about using a hot tub and how to run it. I took notes and he told me how to sort it up and when to put the chemicals in it. I've been back to Tim’s over a couple of times with just chemical questions because I was having a lot of trouble with the water chemistry; trying to balance the pH and the alkalinity and getting my chlorine right. I was discouraged a few weeks ago but again, it wasn't the hot tub. It was me learning how to balance the water. I was getting a lot of stone and the water was getting a nasty color. I also called the store several times and Tim walked me through things on the phone or I would go there and he would test my water and tell me what and how much I needed to add.
Now that I've got it all worked out, I do the cartridge system where I drop in that chlorine cartridge and then the mineral cartridge. That makes it easier to maintain the hot tub. I’d tell anyone looking for a hot tub that Marquis is one of the top ones to consider. I really like the features of the one we chose, the lay out and the seats that we have. We have a seat that gets the heart above the water if it’s getting too hot in there. And I like the seating arrangements as well as the different types of jets in it. I'm a nurse and I'm on my feet all day. So, I really like that if I need one seat, the jets can hit one part of my back better than the next seat. And then, the next seat can get my neck better than the next. It feels really good on my back and it relaxes me.
My son's a football player and with weightlifting. He came home the other day and his legs were hurting him. He got in the tub, had some jets blow his calf muscles and it really helped. He said it made his life feel a lot better. But one of the biggest things that I have really enjoyed about this hot tub is getting my family together. My husband and I have two sons, one is 19 and one is 18. Since having this tub, we’d sit out there and we talked. I'll say, “I'm going to go get in the hot tub” and one of my boys will be like, "Hey, I'll get in too." Whether it's all four of us or two of us, it's just nice being there with my boys and they can tell me what's going on with them. So, outside of therapeutic wise it's nice for conversation and something for the family to enjoy together.

The guys that brought it in were professional, quick, courteous, thorough, and explained everything to us. I have been using it for three to four months now and it’s doing its job. My overall experience was excellent. I’d refer Marquis to my friends and tell them to buy one.

My first Marquis hot tub was terrible. There were broken pieces, and the valves and control panel didn't work correctly. I bought it a year ago and it was covered by the warranty, so I ended up returning the unit and getting a replacement. I worked directly with Valley Pool since it’s where I bought it, so they took care of that. I’ve had the new tub for three months and it's been fine, but I haven't had it long enough so the jury is not out yet.
Dear Jim,
Every once in a while a product comes along that seems to have more than its fair share of problems and unfortunately, it sounds like you had one of these units. We’re happy to hear the Marquis Owner Protection Plan Warranty provided with your hot tub has done its job and we hope you never have to use it again. We also hope that it gives you some comfort to know that both the dealer and Marquis stood behind your product and provided a replacement hot tub instead of trying to repair the unit.
We apologize and understand that your first years as a Marquis owner have been unpleasant but we are confident that from here on out you will have many years of enjoyment with your replacement Marquis hot tub.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Sincerely,Team Marquis

Marquis Spas is a good brand and we have been using it for 15 years. We looked at Jacuzzi and some other brands but there was a lot of smoke and mirrors. Our old Marquis Spa held up well and we expect the next one to do the same. We bought it from a reputable dealer, so if it breaks, they will fix it. We spoke with the Marquis team when we bought and set up the tub. The installation team had a timeframe planned and installation went fine. We use the tub every day and it hasn’t broken down yet.

We have a spa that was over 20 years old and decided it was time to get a new one. We went to Patio Pools and what they had was Marquis Spas. We have Marquis since April and it’s working. However, I was disappointed in the set-up and with the people that they sent to install it. They didn’t do as we ask them to and the installer, who was contracted to Patio Pools, did the installation the way he wanted to. We wanted the spa set up a certain way as to the set up that we already had and he ignored our request. He didn’t even complete it because he made all sorts of excuses why he couldn’t, messed with the electrical panel, and he was supposed to be an electrician. We didn’t have any choice in the matter and there’s no way of redoing the setup. We dealt with it and it’s fine. Everything is working well. We’re happy with what it is and Marquis serves the purpose.

I have had my Marquis bathtub for six months now. We always use it, mostly on the weekend, since it is something our family enjoys. I bought it because of the way it looks, as well as the people who were selling it. I did a little prep work for the installation and it slid right in just like a glove. Marquis' staff were also all very nice and I'm very satisfied with their work. When I had a problem with the unit not being cleaned by the water, they got it. The unit is working well and hopefully it continues that way. We are very satisfied with it.

They all lie to you but the Marquis Spas dealer I dealt with was straight up and honest, and I really appreciated that. I really like the way they do their product and how they promote it. They also spent a lot of time addressing what we wanted the tub for. The installation was fantastic and we've had the tub since August. I broke my foot right after we bought it but I like all the jets and the tub's been very therapeutic. It's a quality-built unit that does what it says it’s going to do and we've had a great experience overall.

I used the Island Spa before. It's 10 years old and Marquis is a little bit more attractive. The installers from Fireside of Bend did the installation and got the tub going. It's been good, it has no issues and it comes with quality. I would recommend them to others. On the other hand, I paid extra for that inline chemical thing which I didn't need to do. It's more complex than just doing a little floating frog. It's built as a less maintenance, easier to do and for the added complexity and cost, it didn't make sense. After I’ve used it for a couple of months, I didn't see a big benefit in doing that.

Marquis Spas seemed to be a good company with good products. Their sales team was fine and Mike was particularly helpful. I came in asking for a specific model that I've been looking at and he showed it to me and I bought one that day. He also ended up saying we got a free chemical. The installation wasn't great though. When we got the hot tub the very first time, we waited for five weeks for it. But when it got to our house, it was the wrong hot tub. Unfortunately, they're all custom-made so they had to go rebuild it. It wasn't a big deal but it was annoying. We were supposed to get the hot tub sometime in August but it ended up being late in September.
We told the company that we were going to cancel our order to go get a different one but they said they'll give us some free supplies if we stayed. We did and when we got the second hot tub, they installed it and it worked fine. But they didn't give us the free supplies and I had to kind of beg for them. They also recommended an electrician to me and that was a bad experience. The guys came out and did an assessment then said he would come out and do it when we got the hot tub.
But when we got the hot tub, the electrician didn't get it done timely and not on several trips. And when he did, it didn't and hasn't to this day passed the inspection. I'm still looking at a panel that's just basically the whole on my wall and waiting for that guy to come back to do that. That part is kind of irritating. I am going to call Marquis and tell them that they should vet the electricians. They should do something about that because I'm disclosed to call on Better Business Bureau over the electrician as that was a pain.
I would not recommend Marquis. I read reviews and everything said that this hot tub was amazing. The hot tub is good looking, quiet, holds temperature and appears to be well insulated. But the way to turn on the jets is wanky and it's hard to turn them off at times. Also, the way the jets change pressure is annoying. The hot tub cost about 9 grand so I was expecting a little bit more.
Hello Taylor,
We are sorry to hear that you are having difficulty with one of our independent retailers and the electrician they suggested. We have already contacted our store to see if we can help resolve the situation. This is unusual and it will be resolved very soon.

We bought a hot tub through Costco a few years ago and we really enjoyed our hot tub but we wanted something local. So we drove by our town and there was a Marquis Spas dealer. We had the tub installed September of this year and the crew was very good. They gave us a rundown on what to use and if we have any problems, we can call. They even gave us their cell phone number. We have a lot of grandkids so we have a lot to use and they’ve been very helpful in any area that we thought was possibly problematic. They told us exactly how to solve or prevent it.
I like the automatic system for the chemicals and we have not had the excessive foaming or weird smell problems that we had with our other hot tub. There are only two things I would have done differently. One, I do not like that you cannot turn the lights off around the little switch even if you’re sitting outside and you want to enjoy the stars. Also, the pop-up fountains are something that we have very much used and will eventually break. We had one shoot off one time but it’s cause somebody may have unscrewed something and it went back on. But overall, we are very satisfied. The tub was a very good purchase for our family. If we were to buy another one, we’d definitely buy from Marquis Spas and I would definitely recommend them too.

The whole heater system was goofy and it would not shut off. I was a little disappointed when I needed a tub and it was broken, but they ordered the part and within three days they were here to fix it. The warranty and service were really good. They were wonderful and very professional, so we couldn’t be happier with them. Every time we’ve gone into the office, the salespeople have been extremely helpful in helping us get the spa set up correctly the first time. It was a crappy experience with Spa Brokers but I love the Marquis Spas hot tub. We went in and told them that we were interested in buying a hot tub. I wanted one that doesn’t take any other chemicals or anything like that, and he told me, “Oh, no big deal. You never have to do the pH and things. You put two bottles on the corner of the spa right here, and it takes care of itself.” So, I bought the hot tub and I paid cash which was probably my fault.
The guys that moved it in handed me a bucket and said, “Fill it up. Here you go”, pretty much. That was not supposed to happen so I called Spa Brokers. They said they’ll give me $50 store credit which I said I didn’t want. Spa Brokers lied to me about sticking two bottles in the corner, and the delivery guys didn’t show me how to use the tub at all so I had to figure it out myself. Something happened to the hot tub that I had to spend four hours scrubbing it and I had to call another company to install a $600 system that did what I wanted to do. I was told me that the system I'm using now is totally different and I don’t use any of those chemicals. They have a light that the water goes through and it cleans itself, like a UV system. You just add 16 ounces of something twice a week and it's perfect every time you get in it. It's the same hot tub that I bought from Spa Brokers but I had to have them install that UV system so I could have it the way I wanted it.
The Marquis brand is perfect and we like the color. My wife picked everything out that she wanted inside and outside. The tub works great and I’ve got no complaints after I got the system I wanted. It helps me to sleep and I love everything about it. I'm a disabled veteran and I've had three back surgeries, waiting for my fourth. That’s part of the reason we got it. It was just the place, Spa Brokers, where I bought it from that sucked as they sold me a hot tub exactly like I didn’t want. I was going to buy a sauna from them too but after they did that to me, I don’t think so.

We were happy to also find that the reviews were good in the research we had done on the company. However, in order to get a Marquis tub, we had to go with the company out of Austin because there wasn't a local distributor in the Houston metro area. That surprised me because Houston is such a big city, but we were very satisfied with that company out of Austin. We did have to pay additional to get that Marquis tub as we had to have it delivered from a long distance, but it was well worth it. The sales process, as well as the manufacturing quality, was good and they got it set up.
I had interactions with the Marquis team over the phone when we were trying to find a distributor first. I want to see the sky and stars at night and I can turn the lights off inside the hot tub but I can't turn the control panel lights off.
Also, we purchased a feature where the tub can be controlled remotely but it did not work out well. The company in Brookings tried to fix it and they even helped us move the WI-FI and everything else in the house to be closer, but it doesn't seem to work. We have to be there to get the tub to link up and it's virtually impossible for us to use it. The dealer mounted the top bracket before he brought it out so we can fold the LED up, and it's pretty convenient. They hauled the tub out here and we slid it off the trailer and I wired it in.
The guy from Marquis was here the first day. We set the tub up and then we built a deck around it. And when we got there with the deck, we raised it up about four 4 inches. So, it's half above the deck and half below it, and it sits down about halfway in the deck, so it's very easy to get in and out of. He assembled the cover and the thing that holds the cover up. He also gave me some chemicals which I don't use a lot. It's been good, but it's a little different than the other one that I had, which we left in our old house when we moved. My other one was a five-man tub and was 220, while the one from Marquis is only a two-person and is 110. I think I paid too much for it because of that. The Marquis one also loses heat fast. It seems that the heater on it is always running, it’s always trying to heat itself back up. It's one of my biggest complaints with the tub. With my other one, it heats up and it stays warm for quite a while.
The Marquis one can't run on high speed and have the heater on at the same time. If I run the jets, it loses heat fast and it will drop down to 98 quickly. But I understand that since it's only 110. The one who installed it told me that the unit can be converted to 220, so I may look into that in the future. But right now, I don’t want to spend the money on it. But the other tub was wasn’t as fancy as this one. In general, it's a nice tub and we like it a lot. I'm pretty happy with it.

I sold my home and the house I bought didn't have a Jacuzzi built into it. Marquis happened to have the kind of tub that was closer to the ground, and I kind of liked it. Marquis' product is a lot smaller than the one I had, and it's the only thing I don't like. But I was going to put one in, and it wasn't really a necessity. It’s been a year since I had Marquis and the process was straightforward. The installation team came over and they were here very long. They filled the tub up and told me when to turn it off and what's put in it and showed me the basics of how to work it. They took care of the installation and off they went. The hot tub is a good product, and it is easy to use and maintain. It's nice having it, and it is so relaxing and I really enjoy it.

We were interested in a hot tub and as we were driving around in New Hampshire, we went to a distributor and bought a Marquis tub. The tub I had previously was on a cement floor so it was floor level and was a lot more convenient, but it wasn't as big as the Marquis. The delivery guys were excellent and during the installation, the team delivered the tub to a very intricate spot. We went up on a screened porch. We've had the tub for three months now and it's nice to sit in it and I like that it’s hot.

I have very limited space and Marquis had the size that I wanted. I've owned the hot tub for six months and I use it three times a week. The Marquis rep has been very responsive and incredible. However, they should have spent more time with me on how the tub works. I broke the cover because I didn’t even know how to open it. Also, the tub's jets aren’t strong enough. There’s also not a Marquis rep in our local area. I had to travel to go to somebody and if something broke, the rep is 50 miles away. Other than that, the tub makes me more comfortable.

We're happy with our Marquis spa. It's bigger than our old one. It has been running well and I don't have any complaints. However, there's only one area where you can step down into which is the feet in the corner. The only other way you can enter the hot tub is if you have long legs and you step down quite a way into the tub. The kids going into it all have to go through that seat area and if someone's sitting there it distracts away from everything.

I've had a hot tub from Marquis for six months. I looked at a couple of other brands but went with Marquis due to their price. We had originally decided to purchase it at the annual housing garden show. We were told it would be eight weeks before the tub comes in. And we had to remodel the room it was going into so that was fine. The first hot tub that came wouldn't fit down our stairwell even though I gave the dealer the dimensions. We had to wait another eight weeks to get a model that fits. When it came in, we received no communication and I wouldn't have known it was in if I hadn't called. So, it was disappointing. The crew that showed up to install it was very good. They gave me the rudiments of care and left me with a box of chemicals and a couple of books, and that was the last I heard of them. I wouldn't do business with them again.

Their reps were also very friendly and helpful both times I've dealt with them. The tub was initially purchased through an auction so I picked it up from their factory. Then, when I had a pump motor fail, they quickly took care of it for me. The company stands behind their product and I recommend them.

I’ve always had Marquis and I’ve always liked it. I used another hot tub brand in the past, and though it lasted me a long time, it wasn’t self-cleaning like the Marquis is, and I've always liked that. We've had this one less than a year so far and everything went well when it was installed. I had it rigged or set up when I built the back deck for just that purpose because I knew I’d have to change it sooner or later. I made everything so that I could take it apart and take the fence down. They just brought it right in and set it right up there.
The recent Marquis rep is really personable and he tells you a lot of stuff that you want to hear, but then he doesn’t follow through. When I still had the old tub, I needed a new top slate where the controls were. Everything came off and you couldn’t see anything anymore and you’d see lights. I wanted a new one and he said, “No problem. I’ll get you one.” Time went by and I never got a call. I asked him and he said, “What are you talking about?” So, he just kind of blew it off. There were a couple other little ones, but he was a nice enough guy and maybe he’s just forgetful. Nevertheless, my newest hot tub is nice and it hasn’t changed from the way it was before. The only thing I really don’t like about Marquis is they don’t have the drain at the very bottom, so you have to bail out four gallons of water. But overall, they’re good spas. We love our Marquis hot tub and I enjoy it.

I have dealt with their team twice now for the routine cleaning every week and they’ve tested a water sample that I've taken in. We live in a wooded area and it forced us into some kind of a pool situation for our kids. Obviously, a hot tub was not big enough and besides, my husband does some triathlon so he thought a swim spa would be good for his training. I went to all the spa places in town and asked them about their systems. Then I made my choice and went with the one with the best built and best insulation. There was a four-model that they had discounted because they had used it in a show. The price obviously led me into ATV Swim Spas and it came with a lot of extras. Also, I've worked with that company before, when I bought a spa from them 20 years ago. They've always been good.
I was not here when they installed it. My husband was and he sent me pictures as they were doing it. My husband said it went fine. And they came out and checked our site ahead of time to make sure that it was going to work. They set it up and got running by July 4th of this year. I had no complaints about that. So far, it's been working out for our family so was the one before. They're going to come again and close it here in a couple of weeks for the winter. Our ATV swim spa came in back in May, but we just had it placed in the last 30 days, in the middle of September. The dealer did a good job with the site inspection and the preparations for the installation. Getting the swim spa installed in our backyard was fairly big work. When the installers unwrapped the swim spa, they found that it had the wrong siding on it, so they changed that. Otherwise, there would have been some damage marks on it had that not been fixed. We still have a couple of things that need to be repaired, but the installation went as expected.
However, the company only offers one option for the steps, which is to put these on the side of the spa. But because of our location and the Power Covana cover that we had put on, we couldn’t utilize the steps. It would be nice if the company offered two options for the steps, with another option for entry on the end, aside from the one at the side. Other than that, our swim spa is great and it's working well. We've used it a fair amount, for 10 hours. We use it more as a light fitness tool, definitely not for triathlon fitness. We like its flexibility since we can use it both for exercise and for relaxation. Also, I consider it to be of premiere quality. Our ATV swim spa is everything we were hoping for, so we’re very satisfied with it.

We've had our ATC Swim Spa since April of this year. We use it for everything. It's a good tub of water and its height is an advantage and differentiator over several of the lower priced spas. The tradeoff is you’ve got a lot more water to clean and maintain. You also would need a step around it because it’s so tall. We also went ahead and bought the end-to-end cover. I had it custom made, which is a way better cover than the double slip up cover and is a huge advantage. It’s much easier to get on and off, and it all goes to one side so you’re only blocking one end of the tub.
We love the tub but the biggest problem we have is getting and maintaining water chemical balance. They really undereducate people on what it takes to maintain it because they sell it like it’s a spa. There’s not good information in their manual which is all online. They came out with a spa kit and gave me two of them, and that is not what this is. There’s a lot more to the maintenance and if I’ve known that, I might not have bought the tub. You have to open it up every week and deal with the water. You also got these tall canisters that you’ve got to clean and which would be impossible to do in the winter. I’ve got to buy two more sets of them and wait to clean them until the summer so there’s a lot to it and ATV could do a lot to simplify it.
I also have some sort of a black mold ick on the tub and we drained the tub and treat it with lemon juice. If it was the white tub, it would have been ruined because we followed the directions of the spa sales people and it almost ruined the tub. We haven’t had it a year, so that’s the part that I’m dissatisfied with it. I think that the store and the external team are learning together. They were conflicting their information with each other on some things.

My husband and I have very bad backs and we got our ATV swim spa for medical reasons. I have four herniated discs and my husband has a herniated disc too. I'm on the downhill side of 60. We got our swim spa at a Pool & Spa outlet in the first of August since ATV was the company that had delivery and setup, and got everything put together. The reps were usually nice to me. The installation went very smoothly. But the pump had a leak when we first got it. They had to come back out and drain, and fix the pump so that the water would gain quickly. Also, one of the control panels was originally hooked up wrongly because it had a burn mark on one of the circuit boards.
In addition, the lid was so heavy. I couldn't open it by myself and I had to have my husband open it. I've been calling the Pool & Spa outlet on a regular basis to get a lift for us that we could use to move the top, but they've had trouble getting it for us. With the lid being so difficult to open, it's very hard to use the spa. ATV needs to come up with a lighter lid, or with a lift or some way for the lid to be opened. Other than that, our ATV swim spa is a good product and once we can get it open all the time, it will be fine.

We had an inflatable from Intex and it was really surprising what they did for a little inflatable set-up but we've had Marquis for a year now. When they brought it over and to the back of the house, I was told what would be good to set it on. I fixed that up myself and they got it in position. The only drawback is in the directions and the menu on the computer part of it. They don’t really line up. Plus, if the directions were more clear and in plain English that would be a lot easier, like step one, this button and step two, this button. The guy who came out and his partner got it going but when they were setting up, his hands were in a way that I could see what was going on and I figured it out. It didn’t seem too complicated.
One time, I drained it and filled it up and I didn’t have a problem getting it started again. But then I drained it again to change the water and maybe I did something different and I couldn’t get it to work. So I called them up and they had a hard time getting someone to come out here and I called them plenty. They said they would be there at a certain time and they got there then. When you fill it, you have to fill it through the filter area because that’s what I played with to get all the air out.
We also moved it around because the size of it made it very awkward but it was not extremely heavy and once we got it in place and installed, we started using it. It's easy to drain and fill and it doesn’t take very long. If you’re starting from cold water first thing in the early morning, it heats up quickly and can be ready to be used by the evening time. I also like the cover that they gave us. That’s nice and convenient.
It's not cheap but it’s an excellent product and low maintenance. The one I have has one pump and even though we’ve left it running 24 hours a day through most of the summer, I didn’t really notice any big issues with PG&E. Although it’s not a magical cure-all, at the end of the day if you’re stressed or sore on your feet, your legs or your back, it feels good especially in winter time. I'm relaxed and I love using it. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

We’ve been using the tub close to every day. I have a bad back and it helps with it. It’s nice to use at the end of the day or when I wake up at three in the morning. I had people deliver the tub and then I did all the work myself because it’s just electrical and I know how to do that very well. My brother-in-law is looking for a tub with about the same size so we are going to go shopping for one. Although we didn't get to use it as much we had hoped, because our life kind of grew up on us, we love being able to go out there and relax a bit and/or swim around. It's just that we wish that the cover was a little bit easier to open. It's quite heavy and I can see in 30 years that that might get a little difficult to maneuver once we get a little bit older. Also, they gave us information about the spa but it didn't really tell us what the different knobs and dials did. So, if there was an owner's manual on how to use it, that would be helpful.

I swim a lot and like to get exercise so I wanted to make sure. I compared ATV to eight different swim spas and ATV was my best bet for its price. I looked at endless pools, the higher-end pools and ATV Swim Spas have some features that are nicer. ATVs are a big deal for an intermediate price range. It has plenty of power water flow to keep anybody happy. Also, their customer service, installation and delivery were very nice. I was pleased with that and they called me a couple of times to make sure everything's okay.

It's a 14-foot swim spa that has three pumps with two speeds and that works well. It also heats fast. Sometimes, my wife wants to heat it up and use the spa features on it so we've been happy with that. I have a retractable solar blanket that I attached to the swim spa and that helps keep it energy efficient. It also has plenty of power with the selectable jets. It's in an enclosed patio area so it's protected. It's inside of a glass enclosure or sunroom that doubles as a greenhouse. I have plants and trees and stuff in there, so there's some temperature control to a degree. My wife uses it twice a week and I use it six times a week. I love my ATV swim spa. It's a fantastic product because it allows me to work out. There was no local dealer in our area so I was my own contractor. However, there is a local repair guy that Marquis uses who is extremely good. We had one issue with the spa and he fixed it right away. The installation was a little bit strange because this is really not intended for someone like myself who is inexperienced to really execute it. I conveyed it to Stephanie who was with me on this in terms of the account.
I set everything up but we had to crane the spa in. I did all that work and put the pad in and all that kind of stuff. But then, what was interesting is there was no real good way to know what's the front, what's the back, what's the left side, what's the right side. It's a thing that a dealer would probably know and somebody like me who is self-contracting would not have. That was a little bit of a problem because when we put it on the pad, we actually lifted it up and had it turned around because the wrong side was facing the wrong side.
When they left and I opened up the spa, the stairs and the platform which are really very heavy were inside the spa. There was nothing on the outside of the unit that says front and back. I wasn't aware that that was inside. Had I done that, we had the crane right there it would have been very easy to take out. So there was a lack of communication there. I also spoke up about it with Stephanie. There was really not a good visual or a way to understand the stairs are specific to what side they have to be on and what end of the spa they'd be on. They were correctly communicated as far as she and I knew but the production people didn't quite understand her instructions.
They did it the second time and we were very careful about it. They did it wrong again but on the third time, they got it right. I had to deal with disposing the two sets of stairs that I had and the company had to deal with making three sets of stairs for me. But other than that, everything got done the way it's supposed to. Stephanie is very responsive. When I had a problem, I got an answer. My electrician also found it very easy to talk to the technical people make sure that was hooked up correctly.

We were in Patio Pools and we liked a particular spa model from Marquis Spas. We bought it eight months ago and it's a good hot tub. Everything was positive in our dealings with the Marquis team. The reps knew what they were doing and they did what they had to do. Also, the installation was fine and there were no problems.

The ATV dealer at Columbia Pool and Spa was perfect. He arranged everything and got the swim spa all hooked up so we could use it a lot. The installation was difficult because of the terrain of the house that they had to rent a crane and put it over the house, but it went fine. The dealer invited us to open house and I've been buying accessories and stuff up there since. The swim spa is a lot easier to maintain than a smaller tub. We've used it for parties and it’s been entertaining to kids. However, the control panel of the spa is on one side so I had to go get an extra set of steps for the other side so I can reach it when I'm not in the tub. It would help if there is a little accessory to where I can reach it from the other side. Otherwise, the swim spa has been totally great.

A few years ago, we used Sundance Spas and we have a built-in pool and spa in another home but if we decide to get a hot tub, we probably would get Marquis. We have one in a rental and we got rave reviews from the people who have used it. Plus, the installation was a great clean job. They did everything on time and perfectly even though it was a tough place to get into.

We got our first swim spa from ATV in April. We had a good experience with ATV Swim Spas up until the install date. We worked with Mark and he was supposed to come out when they were building the deck and do some reconnaissance to make sure we had everything that we needed to get into the space and that we had the right deck planned out. But he didn’t come until later when the product was delivered so it delayed a few more days and we ended up having to take a pole down. We had a few hiccups with the installation but we finally got it in. It's a great product. It runs and heats well and maintains the temperatures. We use it for swimming, relaxation and family time, and we've enjoyed it. We have a daughter who will be three in December and it'd be a great place for her. She gets her swimming in and we love it.
