I was doing a replacement of the cupboard and I saw that the old hardwood floor needed replacing too. I have heard about Lumber Liquidators for a long time, I just have never gone there. So, the first time I walked in, I was impressed. They have lots of choices and I bought a Red Oak wood flooring. The cost was very good that was why I came back the second and third time. However, sometimes when I go there, there’s no one at the counter. Or if there’s only one person and there’s a customer ahead of me, I have to wait for a long while. Nonetheless, their reps were really friendly and helpful. They gave me information on different kind of wood and advise me when they have a sale and the best time to buy the item. The flooring is excellent and I’m pleased with Lumber Liquidators. I’m very happy with the quality and the price. It’s also easy to return the remaining products that we don’t need which is a very nice thing.

Our flooring was old so we wanted to redo it all. I got bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators. The sales representatives showed us what we wanted and what we asked for. They were very helpful and did an excellent job. I did a self-install and the product was very easy to work with. The cost is good for the good quality. Lumber Liquidators did well for us and we’ve referred a couple of other people there already. Go there to get your flooring too.

Install floor looks great but it is delaminating. After one week we found a piece coming apart. Contacted Lumber Liquidators. They sent a pdf on how to cut it out and Glue in a new piece. Now - two more pieces are delaminating in a totally different area.

We shopped around the area and Lumber Liquidators seemed very knowledgeable and the quality of their products seemed great. We had a baby on the way, and we needed to get rid of the carpet. We replaced the flooring of three bedrooms with the multicolored hardwood floors from Lumber Liquidators, so it goes with pretty much any kind of furniture. It worked well having the same kind of floors in all three bedrooms versus changing it up per individual room based on the furniture.
The reps were helpful, and they worked with us on pricing and talked me through. I did the floors myself and I felt I got good quality material. I ended up being short about 10 square feet of underlayment, so I went back and got another roll. They gave me a really good deal on that since I bought so much stuff before as well. I would definitely use their product again. I'm very happy with the service. But I was a little disappointed with was we had to drive all the way to Plant City to pick up the material because it wasn’t available at the location we went to. Luckily, I had a friend with a big truck who was willing to make the drive with me. Also, Lumber Liquidators should offer some discounted delivery if a customer makes a certain dollar purchase because it would've made the experience a lot easier for me as well. It would have been a nice thing to have.

I had someone renovating the home for me and they said that I should go to Lumber Liquidators to get my flooring, and I did. I dealt with three different people and they answered my questions. However, when I went to go back the second time, the flooring was at a different price. Their reps explained it to me and everybody was professional. The cost was good and the quality was good too, especially compared to the price. We were very satisfied with Lumber Liquidators. As a matter of fact, our contractor was only gonna do one or two rooms but we really liked it so we went back and bought more. Everything went well from me going and asking questions, to purchasing what I want, to picking up the item. It was a great experience.

My house is 32 years old and it has linoleum. All the kids and animals are gone now so it’s time to get something I want. I bought an Oak hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators and the cost was reasonable. Their reps were very helpful. They got my product ordered, it got to their warehouse quickly and we picked it up. With my experience, I would definitely go back. I would also tell others to definitely go to Lumber Liquidators and get a price from them when they’re shopping.

We’re still waiting for service 1 month after paying for lumber material. The cost kept going up with things that were discussed initially. Like being able to install the flooring with a guard rail. We were told that they had a person to to that. We asked for the same color wood to be done on back panel of steps. We received a different thing, white. We addressed this mistake. We were told that we needed to pay $350.00 More. We were also informed after further investigation clarification of what we paid. We were told it would cost $300.00+ More.

I purchased bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators and my husband installed it. It was such a pain in the neck to put it down. It was an engineered bamboo flooring and the nails that they said would work did not work. We ended up having to buy adhesive and glue it down instead of nailing it, and it was an additional cost of almost $300. So far, the quality has been fine. It looked nice. We’ve still been doing work in there so it’s been covered in paper most of the time. So, I really haven’t gotten the chance to appreciate it that much. Nevertheless, my experience with Lumber Liquidators was fine. The flooring that we got wasn’t anything fantastic but it did what it needed to do.

We moved into a new house and the old floor wasn’t what we wanted so I bought some prefinished hardwood from Lumber Liquidators. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and explained the differences between the prefinished, not finished and the different grains of wood so it was easier for me to make the choice that I needed to. The quality of the flooring was good and we liked the color. I got some study material, saw some videos and installed it myself. It came out good and I could see that professionals could have done better but I’m satisfied with what I did. I ordered more than I needed to and the return process was easy. I just drove the left-over boxes back, and they took it and credited me the money so it was nice.

We bought red oak flooring from Lumber Liquidators and it was the first time that we bought those. Everything was okay but the person who did the flooring threw away a lot of bad wood. When the guy started on the flooring, we weren’t there and when we got home, he has covered almost half the living room. He put in everything and I saw that there was a lot of split wood and a lot of black marks. I liked very red oak which was why we picked that color at the store and I asked him why it was too black. It didn’t look like what we saw at the store. He said that was what it was and I didn’t like it. I would tell people not to buy any more wood from Lumber Liquidators.

Try to do research as much as possible before you go anywhere. We purchased engineered hardwood from Lumber Liquidators to update our flooring and it was a good experience. There are some challenges working with the flooring but it’s not too hard. We’ve already put in the same brand and we enjoy it so far. Overall, the hardwood flooring is relatively inexpensive and a good quality.

Lumber Liquidators was good at first when I was there and I was buying. The manager who was assisting me promised two weeks for the thing that I ordered. Most of the material was already in there. They treated me badly on the telephone and that was bad service right there from whoever answered me. I purchased from Lumber Liquidators 10 years ago, and recently we needed to update the floors. We got engineered bamboo and the flooring stuff worked real well. However, with the stairs, they were out of the four-foot oak and they didn't know if they were ever gonna make any more. They had to special order it from Utah and we paid $200 for shipping to get it to us. Then, the stuff we got must have been defective because they were pretty well-trashed. I asked when they would get more in and they said they could get it in a week. I ended up paying 200 bucks for shipping with something that they got in a couple days after I paid for shipping, and I got a product that wasn’t of good quality for my stairs.
When I went to pay for all the stairs, I was supposed to get a cheaper price because I bought a whole pallet full. They didn’t get me the cheaper price either. I ended up paying the full price for it. The whole stairs thing was an ordeal ‘cause we did the upstairs and downstairs in 4-foot red oak. That ended up being at least 200 bucks more, plus 60 bucks' worth of discounts that I should have gotten. Also, I looked online and I thought it would be easier to go in the store and do it, but I probably would have gotten cheaper prices if I had just done it online. But the floors and the stairs look gorgeous. I’d recommend Lumber Liquidators because the quality of their product and their pricing are good.

The original tiles that were done in the kitchen were getting frustrating. To replace those, we went with Lumber Liquidators and we got bamboo flooring but there were different challenges with getting everything done. It almost felt like I had to baby the process all the way through. When we got on the site, the first thing we asked was if we could take a look at the physical boards that we were buying. We wanted to see the physical make and look of it but they weren’t able to help with that. Luckily, they had plenty of stocks so we were able to say, “Hey, go open one and bring me one if you don’t mind, just because I’m spending 800 bucks here, if you don’t mind very much.”
Secondly, the original underlayment that we were sold was incorrect for what we needed. We found this out once we were halfway through putting down the flooring. We didn’t feel that it was doing the job. It was lumping up in certain places and doing some weird stuff in others. So I called someone out to take a look and see what was going on. We were told that the we had the the wrong underlayment for what we were trying to do. The underlayment didn’t match the picture on the order but we were assured when we purchased it that we got the right thing. I was quite fortunate that we had floored our upstairs room and we had quite a lot of that flooring left. So we had a very high-quality underlayment that we were able to reuse.
The biggest challenge I had was as we loaded the boxes up my vehicle, I noticed several of the boxes on the pallet were quite badly damaged. We were able to separate the ones that I noticed. But when I got back to my home, I noticed that around six of the boxes were quite badly damaged as well. The boxes themselves were fine. But when you opened the box, what looked like just a mark on the outside was actually quite a bad thing. At that point, I had already started the process. We complained back to the store but nobody ever came back to us. That was the biggest frustrating point that I experienced.
But other than that, the guys were great. They were very accommodating in terms of our order. I had placed an order to be delivered to a certain office. Thankfully, I called ahead of time and asked if they were ready. They had not gotten the order from the online guys but they were able to redirect us to another branch which had stocks. So once you get a hold of somebody who works in the branch itself, you’re able to get some guidance and assistance. But we certainly didn’t get very much guidance from the folks who help when you dial into the national number. The guys who installed the flooring were more accommodating than the guys that you deal with when you normally dial in.

We had thin panels of maple that were natural. And so, inevitably, we shopped around and no one had the product in stock. However, we were lucky enough to locate the product with Lumber Liquidators. This was done over the phone and I asked how much product there was available and then my father-in-law got in the car and picked it up 'cause we needed it the next day. We had some issues with our contractors though and they had put a stain on there. We didn't like the stain, so we had it removed. There were also pieces of lumber we couldn't use. But overall, it was all good including the quality of the product. The flooring looks consistent and it was priced well.

Lumber Liquidators was the only store that was open during the holidays. Their flooring is okay, though there was a little bit of a problem with the inventory. We had to drive 50 miles to another store because they don’t keep all their inventory in one place. That was a definite drawback. The other thing was that when you return anything, you gotta wait for a company check in four to six weeks which is a little bit annoying. Their cost is also a lot higher than the major retailers.

We have oak throughout our whole house except for one area and we decided that it was time to get rid of the carpet. So, the carpet had to go then I talked my husband into wood floors and we got a red oak flooring from Lumber Liquidators. At the time, we were coming all the way from Twisp to Spokane, which is a three and a half hour drive, so the situation was kind of strange because they didn’t have the flooring in.
Then, something happened when they did get it in. The people that were rearranging things with the little forklifts had a catastrophe where things started chipping and they had to close everything down. So there were a lot of people lined up waiting for their stuff that wasn’t gonna be ready for a whole day. Lumber Liquidators' reps didn’t seem to have a clue on how to move things around. But other than that, the wood is good quality and when we installed, the installation went great. I also haven’t had any trouble since it’s been down. All in all, I was satisfied with the product, but I was not satisfied with the service.

I had to match my existing floor in the house and that wasn’t easy to do. A lot of the flooring came in different widths and shades. But at Lumber Liquidators, I found an exact match and it looks unbelievable. You can’t even tell where one room ends and the other begins. Also, their price beat everybody else's. They were about a half price compared to a local flooring store.
I purchased hickory flooring from them and everybody was great from the first phone call to going to the showroom. I even had an extra box and they took it back. They liked you to have a little extra for the waste that sometimes results when making cuts, but I didn’t and I was able to return an unopened box. My son-in-law is a flooring contractor and he did the installation for me. It took him just part of the day but he is a pro. So far, the quality of the flooring is outstanding. My existing floor in the rest of the house is as old as the house, like 12 years old, and there is no wear or anything. But I don’t have dogs and kids, so I protect it pretty well. At times, I also come in with gravels stuck in my boots and it really has weathered very well. I’ve recommended Lumber Liquidators but some of my friends are slow to get things done. Still, everybody knows about my floor. I even put it on Facebook. Lumber Liquidators is the only place to go.

When we first went to Lumber Liquidators everyone was so helpful in picking out our flooring. Then the nightmare began. The guy who came to measure was literally in our house for 5 minutes and the ONLY thing that he discussed with us was if we wanted the closet included in the install. He then apparently took it upon himself to order quarter round and never discussed anything about our baseboards with us. They installed the flooring and put in the quarter round up against our existing baseboards which with the difference in colors looks horrible. The stair nose is loose and moves anytime you go down the stairs. I called the store immediately after install about the stair nose and the quarter round at which time Brandon indicated that it was HIS fault for the quarter round because he didn't discuss baseboards with us at the time of order and that this would be remedied even if it meant reinstalling the entire floor.
Never heard back from him again. I have gone to customer service and even to the manager of customer service. I was contacted by customer service a week ago today reassuring me that they wanted to remedy this and that the assessment team would contact me and come out to the house to see what could be done. I have yet to hear from anyone! This is the absolute WORSE customer service EVER! I will NEVER deal with Lumber Liquidators again. They will be "at your service" until you need them to fix their work and then you can forget it! They will disappear!

Still, I was glad that I figured that out in advance so we could make a decision on how to lay it down for it to look good.

After talking to a store rep and letting them know how much space I had to install flooring for, he told me to buy 45 boxes. I ordered the floor, which was supposed to be delivered to the store in 2 weeks and then they told me it would be another week because they were taking inventory and couldn't have any deliveries. After installing the floor, I have over a dozen boxes left over. Keep in mind that I measured the floor and then had two other professionals come in to measure because I wanted estimates on the install, so I was comfortable with my numbers. Sounds like someone was just trying to sell more flooring and now I'm stuck with it. Empire and Home Depot will let you return flooring.

We got clearance stuff from Lumber Liquidators so my husband could make a countertop for his desk. I went in and asked if they had what they were advertising on the website and they had it. They loaded the flooring to my car and we were done. Everybody was really nice. My husband was pretty impressed. We’re both handy and wood workers and he showed me the whole process of how he did it all. The countertop is absolutely perfect and it looks beautiful. It worked very well for him. I would recommend Lumber Liquidators.

Salesman talked us out of hardwood flooring & into a more scratch resistant water resistant "super durable & superior to hardwood." This flooring is not water resistant, scratch resistant & separated terribly even though we installed all the transitions at every doorway. Customer service lady Jalon we worked with about a claim was downright HOSTILE before I could even speak and spoke over me the whole time speaking with her. I am assuming she deals with a lot of angry customers daily to have this hostile attitude and I am not the only unsatisfied customer. I have purchased flooring from Lumber Liquidators in the past as I am a home renovator & never had a problem before but I now know that Lumber Liquidators does not have the customers' back when there is a issue with defective product. Very unhappy & will not purchase from this company again!

We bought a bamboo and veneer flooring which was the only one with a finish that we liked. But we needed all new flooring in a remodeled house we're doing and they didn't have all the flooring we needed at that one store. They found it at another store locally then we went and picked it all up. Lumber Liquidators' sales reps were great. They were helpful and informative. When I was deciding to lay it myself, one of the sales rep showed me how to do it and provided awesome information on how to install it. When we needed to return some stuff, they were real good also. I'm a little bit worried about the quality though. The floor used to be buckling in a couple of places and I'm not sure how well it's gonna hold up. But I'm gonna wait and see what happens when the humidity grows down and if it seals back down again. Nonetheless, Lumber Liquidators is a good place to buy flooring from.

We're a restoration company and we purchased a hardwood floor for one of our customers. I placed the order with Lumber Liquidators and they took care of it. They ran my card and then the flooring was there, ready for my production manager to pick up without a problem. The crew didn't have an issue installing the latest floor that we got from Lumber Liquidators either. The hardwood floors were installed great and the customers were happy. The quality was good too. We'll continue to use Lumber Liquidators for hardwood flooring because they seem to have good prices and good customer service when we call. It's quick and easy for me. I would suggest to others to speak to somebody there to see the products in person and to talk to them about sales because Lumber Liquidators has good sales.

We're familiar with Lumber Liquidators' name and price and so we looked it up online. Then we talked to their representatives several times and there were a couple of different products we looked at. They gave us bids on both of them and it went fine. They were professional and did a fine job. The oak flooring is good. However, one thing we noticed was, when we pulled out the rug we've thrown down, there's a significant difference in the finish between the parts that are exposed to sunlight through some windows and where there was a rug thrown down. The parts under the rug are really darker and the flooring has only been installed for a few weeks. I live in Alaska where the sun is not super intense and so it’s surprising how quickly that happened. The rug is gonna be left there and it’s not gonna change. Other than that, I would recommend Lumber Liquidators.

Don’t ever hire Lumber Liquidators. That would be a big mistake and you’ll regret it. Somebody said that they were cheaper, but they were triple the price. At the actual store itself, there was a couple of young guys behind the counter and they acted like they really didn’t have time to answer any questions. They didn’t have any answers for any of my questions and I had to figure it out myself.
The man who has the contract sent his brother and some other guy, and we’ve got six pieces of furniture I paid them to move. I needed help as I couldn’t move my grandfather clock for myself. I needed two people who were strong enough to do it and both of them need to get on each side of the grandfather clock. They have to move it standing straight up from the way it was sitting and they can’t lean it whatever they do. I was telling them that the whole time but they ignored everything I said and turned it over on its side. All the lights and other things went out and to this day, the grandfather clock is messed up and does not work. I’ve tried to find a grandfather clock repairman but there isn’t one in Albuquerque, so I’m screwed on that.
The same guys put the flooring down and they ruined my floor. I have imported Italian tile on my floor and they broke my tile and there’s no way to replace it. Everything on the kitchen down to the hallway is all bad Italian tile. Also, there are big, huge gaps in my solid oak wood floors that are not supposed to be there. They cut around the brick area and they had to cut like a little stripping that goes around for the wood so it could be flush. They cut short and it’s totally off. I’ve never seen anybody like how they did it. On the day they walked out of my door when they laid it, I said that I was not happy with the work down. I asked them what they were gonna do about the tile and they said that they’d have to turn in a report. Yet I never heard nothing from the people ever since then.
Now, I have a floor that needs to be replaced which I can’t afford to replace and there’s no way to replace it. They don’t have the tile or pattern here. It would have to be completely torn up and replaced with some different tile. I have to replace it and they don’t wanna be responsible for it. They don’t wanna make it right and nobody wants to have anything to do with it. I’ve got pictures of everything and I tried to send it to them but nobody would ever reply. I have sent pictures and emails and I also sent it to some website that they had me send it to. One time, a lady called and she wanted the pictures so I sent them to her but she never called me back. I’ve also called the store itself and I've left my name and number but nobody there will ever return my phone calls. They don’t wanna talk to me because they know that this is gonna cost them a load of money.
My husband wants to get a lawyer and sue them because it cost me over $3,000 for the floor. They destroyed my Italian tile in the process of putting it down and replacing the tile is gonna cost me thousands of dollars. What was supposed to be a really great experience getting my new floors was horrible. It’s real bad. They screwed me and my house up so bad. They’re very unprofessional and they ripped me off. I’ve worked hard all my life and I finally got the money to do it but then this is what happened. I’m so unhappy with those people and I would not recommend them to anybody.

I purchased and paid for my flooring from Lumber Liquidators on December 13, 2017 in the amount of $7,565.83. This price included installation, which was most of the expense. The install date was set for 2.22.18 and I was told that it would only take 4-5 days. March 1 they were still installing my floors. Chris, one of the installers smoked ** and smelled of **. Al, the other installer, urinated out in my driveway. As expected the installers removed doors and bi-fold closet doors however, they did not hang any plastic to protect our belongings. The installers did not protect the carpet. I paid almost $65.00 to have my appliances moved (Stove and refrigerator). The installers left them in the kitchen and did not move them to the living room.
I pointed out where to place them the morning they arrived. I had laid cardboard out for the appliance to go onto. My new granite countertops were not covered so they have cement dust and other grit on them. I am afraid when they get cleaned that they may get scratched. I also noticed that the countertops have a sticky residue of some short on the side by the fridge. This was also on my stove top. My new under mount stainless steel sink has residue of cement/mortar in it along with some buildup of mortar on the sink protector and my new sink has scratches by the drain opening. I have reason to believe that grout was used to lay down the first tiles rather than thin set/mortar. The used grout bucket was left on my carpet and the tile was laid with the spacers in.
The installers get water from the flexible piping in the main bathroom. When I went up there last night to shut all the lights off when they left I noticed that the subflooring was all wet. I quickly put a fan on it to dry it out. I had made a few complaints and Lumber Liquidators (LL) stated there is nothing they can do. LL finally contacted the installer’s manager to let him know about the complaint and then the workers covered up the doorways. It was too late. The demo and most of the cutting was already done for the cement board. The installers stated that they would cut the remaining board outside. By outside they meant in my garage...my brand new snow thrower is coated in cement dust along with my motorcycle and scooters.
After the mess was already created the installers then hung plastic up after they were talked to by their manager... Why? The damage is done. Everything is all dirty now. They are writing the sizes of the tile cuts on the good side of the tile. All my wood trim with finishing nails is crammed into one tile box. The spacing is not uniform between tiles in some areas. Today the fire department was at my house as they cut metal strips in my home rather than outside. This set my fire alarms off, which notified ADT. ADT then notified the fire department. The regional manager Greg came out this afternoon after I drove to LL this morning as soon as they opened to let LL know that things are getting worse.
My appliances are still sitting in the kitchen. They are still cutting items in the garage. I stated that I wanted to be compensated for clean-up and for the moving of the appliances that never occurred. Greg stated that I have to understand that this is a construction zone and things are going to get dirty. Greg stated that he can’t tell if his workers made the damage or if I did. I was furious. I did say a few cuss words. Greg stated since I was going to cuss he was going to leave and he did. No resolution. No further instructions.
Finally, on Monday April 16, I received a call from LL Customer care team, she asked me to fill her in on the outcomes of the floor installation. I told the representative about my concerns with our flooring: • The floor is still not level by the hallway into the dining area and now the floor by the pantry in the kitchen is uneven. o This was discussed at the time the installer came out to provide me with a quote on the install pricing. o Wall by pantry in the kitchen was level prior to installation of flooring.
• Floors were not properly cleaned after grouting, water staining from grout (look dirty). • Installer deposed of all damaged tiles (4 boxes, approx. 24 tiles) without my permission. o I asked Allan were he had placed the remaining tiles the evening he had completed the job prior to him heading out. Allan stated that he placed the 5 boxes of good tiles out in the garage. I then asked Allan where the damaged tiles were so I could return them with the others. Allan stated that he had already brought them back to his shop and destroyed them. I stated to Allan that I recall there were a lot of damaged tiles. "Why would you have done that without asking me?" Allan stated that because the boxes were already opened and no boxes to put them in that I would not be able to return them.
• Dining room and main bathroom are missing grout in some areas. • The tiles are uneven in some areas. • The grout levels are uneven in some areas. Donna asked if I had contacted the installers with my concerns and I had let her know that I have not as I was waiting for Tina to get back to me with the next steps. Donna then stated that the next step was for her to contact the floor installers from RW Flooring to have them come out for an assessment of our floors. Donna told me that the original installers would be contacting me directly within the next 24 hours (by EOD 4.17.18 Tuesday). Donna ended the conversation with letting me know that she would stay in touch and follow up with an email to **. Donna also stated that they would do whatever is necessary to get this job taken care of and if I was not contacted by the installers in the next 24 hours I should contact her.
Al came out in May to touch up some of the grout spots that I had marked with blue tape and to clean the adhesive off the floors. He did not fix all the areas. As he felt that they were areas that would not be seen by people and he did not attempt to clean the adhesive off the floors. Al did suggest for me to use Bar Keepers Friend scrub and let me know that I could pick up the cleanser at Menards. I contacted the customer care team to let Donna know that I was still not satisfied with the outcome and needed the floor properly fixed.
On May 29, 2018, at 6:00 PM both Bob, the owner of RW Flooring, and the regional manager from Lumber Liquidators, Greg, came to my house in Savage Minnesota. I went over my concerns regarding the floor. • Floor in two areas are not leveled. o Area by hall when you walk in was not level prior to floor installation. o Area by pantry was level prior to floor installer attempting to level floor by hallway. • Grout left floors looking dirty and there are shiny areas throughout the floor. • Grout levels are not even. o You can visually see that levels are uneven. o You can visually feel the unevenness when you walk on the floor. • Flooring in the bathroom has cement build up.
The two individuals (Bob & Greg) were at my home for approximately 1 hour and assessed the situation. Bob, the owner of RW Flooring stated that it would be easy to remove the shiny residue off the floors as he felt that was caused by the adhesive in the grout sealer. He stated that in order to level the floor properly I would have to hire a contractor to assess floor structure. Bob stated that he would provide the corporate office his write up proposal and have them get back to me in the next week.
On June 9, I received an email from Lumber Liquidators stating my tile was in and ready for pick-up. I had no idea that they were ordering floor or that I would be accountable to have to pick it up. I still haven’t heard back from corporate, Lumber Liquidators Customer Care team on what the game plan is for the floor. On Thursday June 21 (Thursday) Donna from Customer Care Center at Lumber Liquidators called me back to provide me with an update on the status of the floors. During this call I informed her that a gentleman by the name of Dillon reached out to me and left a message about coming out to assess the floors. I did not call him back because I was unaware of what was going on. I also informed her that I have received emails that my flooring is in at Lumber Liquidators.
• Lumber Liquidators had appointed Dillon to remove tiles and put tiles back in place rather than Allan from RW Flooring. • Lumber Liquidators ordered 80 new tiles to replace tiles that will be removed. Donna then sent me a follow up email (June 21) to confirm the call. On Monday June 25, I received a call from Dillon to set up a date and time that he could come out to my home to assess the situation with the floor. He stated he was hired from Lumber Liquidators to tear out the tile and then put the tile back in. I let Dillon know that he could come to the house that day to check everything out. Dillon did go to my home that day and analysis the situation. Dillon calculated he would have to remove about 80 tiles to fix the problem.
On Tuesday June 26, Andy, a contractor from Xpand Inc. came out to assess the floor joist in dining/hall area. Andy stated that there is no structural damage shown on the walls. Andy also said that there is no give or bounce in the floor. Andy stated that it would cost 10s of thousands to move the beam approx. 1/8 to possibly 5/8 of an inch and would not recommend it. Andy concluded that a floor installer should easily be able to level a small portion of the floor to even it out and it would not make any sense to move a floor joist 1/8-5/8 of an inch when it is not causing any structural damage. Andy was at my home from 12:30-1:45.
On Tuesday June 26, I called Donna from the Lumber Liquidators Customer Care team at 2:15 to let her know the outcome of the visit from my contractor. I was unable to reach Donna; I left her a voice message to contact me at her earliest convenience. Donna called me back within the next hour or so. Donna stated that she would inform Greg, the regional manager at Lumber Liquidators about what the contract had to say about the floor joist assessment.
On Monday July 9 I left a message for Donna from the Lumber Liquidators Customer Care team at 10:30 AM to see what was going on with the floors as I had not heard back from them since I informed her on the visit from the contractor. On Monday July 9 I received a voice message from Dillon at 11:14 to call him back to schedule an appointment to do the flooring.
On Monday July 9 I called Dillon back at (763) 445-0474 at 11:16. Dillon stated that he wanted to pencil in a date and time to get the floors demo’d, floor leveled, and the new tiles installed. Dillon stated that he felt he was going to have to remove about 10 rows of tiles in order to get the floor fixed properly. I told him that I was not yet informed of what the plan was to fix the floors as the last I spoke to the Donna from Lumber Liquidators I had informed her on the outcome of the visit from the contractor. Dillon stated that he was going to remove the tiles and level the floor appropriately and put the new tiles back in place. I asked if he was hired to also remove the “staining” on the floors and add grout to areas that needed to be evened out. Dillon said that he has some glue remover that he could use and he would grout the areas that need to be fixed.
The new floor installer team came out on July 23 to fix the sloping in the floor. They removed 10 rows of tile and ended up using a floor leveling compound. Although this team was very professional, the floor is still not corrected. I still have the adhesive from the grout. The tiles are uneven. The new floor that was laid has chips in the tile and is not even to the main walkway. At this point, I want a full refund so I can hire a company that can do the job correctly. This has been going on for almost 6 months. I want my home back and this nightmare to end!!!

The people in Portland Lumber Liquidators were very nice and helpful and worked to get the best possible price. They did everything they could and everything timely. They were all very cooperative while the people in Spokane Lumber Liquidators were horrible. Originally, we ordered the vents and they were to be shipped immediately. Then a month later, we called Spokane and they said they would call us back, and then we didn't hear from them. So we called back and eventually, got to talk to a manager. I think they had never ordered the vents because he said they would get it rushed delivered to us.
And then about another week and a half, we called them again. They said the vents were around there somewhere. They found them and then they wanted us to pay 15 bucks so they could ship them over to us. We said no and the manager said they would ship them to us. I would never ever ever deal with the Spokane Lumber Liquidators again. Also, we had two boxes of the stuff left over and we were told in Portland that they could be returned to Spokane. The guy in Spokane said they don't do that and that we'll have to take them back to Portland. No one was helpful from Spokane. No one called us back or talked to us.

Milling Issues Brazilian Cherry. My initial call to Lumber Liquidators on May 24th and as of Today I still have unresolved claim. Also a uncompleted floor for last few months. I spoke with Lynn in Customer care which I left voicemail message on 8/1 and tried to send her email which is being sent back as message failed. This is the correct email as I am replying to her old email and not typing it in.
Lynn ask me to stop installing the floor and would compensate me based on what I need to replace the floor and you wasn’t going to have me wait for milling results. I needed 150 sq ft to fix the floor and would cover the rest with furniture. However I shouldn't have to do this but willing to compromised. I was told by you on June 7th the milling report would be back on the 8th. No report on the 8th and you gave me credit for the 2 boxes I paid for and was picked up by FedEx but no extra compensation.
Also you claimed if it is milling issue the entire floor would be replaced by Lumber Liquidators or depending on results another agreement would be reach for compensation. However this wasn’t told to me when I spoke with you on May 24th. You phoned and emailed me on June 14th. I replied back to you asking for the results and you stated you needed to explain. I called you twice, left message and emailed you on the 14th of June. I called at 9 am on the 15th per your email and left message but once again no results was sent and you wasn’t available.
At this point I feel like I am getting the run around by You (Lumber Liquidators). Everything we have discuss has changed from May 24th 2018. I have called and asked for manager to speak with and every time I was told unavailable and would get a return call. However never received a call from manager. I have tried to be patient with Lumber Liquidators. However I have waited for 3 months for customer satisfaction and as today 8/2 still not resolved. I spent $3500 on the floor and additional $1800 for the contractor and it seems Lumber Liquidators is not taking any accountability by avoiding my calls or returning calls to me. Plus will not reply to emails as well.

Cracks, knots and rough cuts that should have been addressed by the quality control people at the manufacturer. I will probably never use that brand ever again. When we bought the flooring, the sales rep told us that if we buy it, they would be able to install within three days. It was over a month before it got installed. I was also told that by having the wood here for a week or two, it would acclimate. We'll not buy any more products from Lumber Liquidators. I will also tell people that I wouldn’t have them do any installation because they’re not gonna do it as fast as they say they’re gonna.

I purchased Hickory flooring for a new house from Lumber Liquidators. However, their sales agents were very busy. They don't have enough sales help to service the customers that they have. Also, when I went to pick up the flooring after they emailed me that it was in, they didn't answer their phones for two days and said that their phone systems were out. They also didn't answer their emails. It took me two and a half hours to pick the order up. I'll never do business with them again.

A customer upgraded her floors and went with Lumber Liquidators where we got 3/4-inch prefinished flooring. I called Lumber Liquidators and they said that the flooring will be in on a particular date, so I scheduled my flooring crew. Then I called them again a few days before the date and they said that they had not even shipped the product yet. I said that it was supposed to be here on a particular date but they said that they never promised that. I told them they did and mentioned the name of the representative. I knew his name and I wrote his number down because I’ve dealt with a lot of companies. Then they said that he shouldn’t have told me that and that he no longer works there because he told a lot of people that. They also said that it was not their fault because they told him he shouldn’t tell people that.
Then, I got the flooring and they decided not to give me all the accessories so we could start the project. And when I called them on that, they said that they were gonna next-day ship it from California and it would be there tomorrow. But it was a week and a half later that it showed up. I called the California store that they said they next-dayed it from and the California store said that they do not next-day anything and that they don’t do that for anybody at any time. So essentially, they just tell people what they wanna hear. The managers aren’t personable and the stores are just what they are. Lumber Liquidators is possibly the worst company I've ever dealt with, and I’ve dealt with a lot of flooring companies. I’ve actually had the same response in this experience three times now. So, I will never deal with them nor will I ever send a customer there again. Don’t use them.
Quality-wise, Lumber Liquidators have never been a top-notch flooring supplier. They have a product, make it as cheap as they can, and they sell it for what they can sell it for. It is what it is, quality-wise. Working with the product is difficult than other things. Tongue-and-groove-wise, they didn’t fit together well and took a lot more finicking. The accessory pieces didn’t fit so it was a lot more dicking around than something that one gets from quality store. The customer felt good about the job only because we took the time to fix the issues. With Lumber Liquidators, it comes down more to installation and who’s doing it than the product itself, because the product itself doesn’t necessarily sell itself.

Next day they called and said that they had the report, but when I ask if she could send it to me in pdf form she said I had to come to the St. Petersburg store to get it because she didn't have any way to send it to me in pdf form. I then ask her to drop it in the mail and she couldn't do that either. All she wanted to do was sell me flooring and that was why I had to go to the store. They’ve always been good to me, always called and let me know if they have some wood in stock that they’re trying to get it out of the way. They give me deals on it and they’re on top of things. If I need anything, I can always call. And then by the time I get there, they’ll have it ready for me to load up. That makes things really easier. I don’t have to wait. The hardwood floor I bought from them is a good flooring and Lumber beat about anybody else on price. If I tell them I can get it for 2.75 a square foot somewhere else, they will try to beat their price for me. So that’s the reason I keep going back to ‘em. The installation of the hardwood floors is also good. Everything was good.

That tainted the entire deal and brought into question everything on the quote, and ensured we did NOT use Lumber Liquidators to install. The guys at the store were great. It's the product that is the issue. We are building a new home and loved the look of the mill run hickory on your internet website. The problem we ran into is that some boxes are full or "junk wood". We like the color variations and rustic look. This stuff is garbage! We had to weed through boxes and boxes to get out decent pieces of wood. Your website photo had none of this wood so it's very deceitful to the customer. No one wants ugly wood on their floors that looks stained.
The guys at the store exchanged some boxes but said they got in big trouble from the district manager and could not do it again. So we have a bunch of useless ugly wood in boxes sitting in our garage. Maybe you need a true picture in your advertising of what the wood really is. We had to purchase a lot more of the product to get decent wood out of it. Some boxes had all short pieces them as well! Very dissatisfied with your company and the false advertising.

I received the class action suit card in the mail because I was one of the idiots to buy flooring from this low down indecent disreputable company. They are being sued for the cheap unhealthy Chinese wood laminate flooring they sold to unwitting consumers such as myself with no regard to the quality of life and health of someone living in a home with flooring that is emitting high levels of formaldehyde gas and all they cared about was their profits, the same old corporate greed trumps the safety and well-being of the very people they are making their profits off of.
They wouldn't have profit without consumers, yet we are the ones being reamed by them. At least cigarette smoke requires warnings while my boxes of flooring had no warnings. They continue to lie about testing the flooring and are unwilling to admit they use improper testing methods so their test results are utter bunk. Now many folks like myself are stuck with this flooring or with the financial burden to remove and replace it. Many folks have it in rental homes where they really are powerless to get it removed.
Hello Jennifer,
We appreciate your comments. Our decision to resolve this litigation should not be misconstrued as an indicator that there is anything wrong with our products. No government agency has declared that the flooring in question needs to be removed or returned. In fact, we have worked with over 52,000 consumers to test formaldehyde levels in their homes, and have tested over 2,000 planks of our customers' flooring. None of those tests have found formaldehyde emission rates above the World Health Organization's emissions standard; and we have remained committed to operating with integrity and delivering quality flooring to our customers. We continue to offer test kits for customers who have not requested them previously.

I installed the flooring and since the material is a very hard wood, it was difficult. But, I managed. My only complaint was some of the hardwood had a lot of imperfections. It was initially disclosed that some of them may be imperfect, but I couldn’t use a lot because of the way they were finished and a lot were cracked and split on the ends. We’ve made an addition in our house and I purchased an engineered wood flooring from Lumber Liquidators. Both of their sales representatives were great and I love going in there. I don’t know their names but I know their faces. There’s one that’s younger and there’s one that’s a little older. But both those guys are very helpful. If I had any questions, they go into detail. They help you get stuff out and let me bring the floor sample home to match -- just little courteous things. They’re friendly, down-to-earth and they’re not snotty-acting. It doesn’t matter if I go in there wearing my night clothes, my shorts and my cut-offs. They treat you the same and I just like them.
They didn’t have all the flooring for the space that I needed so the younger guy got on the phone and he looked it up and found where they had the amount that I needed, of the exact off the same run. He ordered it from another store and got it all in. I knew I’m not getting two different colors. I mentioned the store to a couple of my friends because I’ve been to several wood flooring places in Shreveport. People don’t wanna wait on me when I go in so I walk right on out.
The store of Lumber Liquidators I go to was just a small, little store, but it’s all you need for what they’re selling and the sales rep tells you what you need as far as to put the floor down and stuff that a normal person who weren’t familiar with flooring— wouldn’t know exactly what to use, but my builders do. And I told them that’s where I got the flooring and they’ve got the stuff there that they’re supposed to use to put this flooring down. There are glues and stuff from them also.

I had purchased some flooring from Lumber Liquidators several years ago and chanced to lay the floor. And by the time I got around in laying the floor, they had discontinued the flooring that I purchased. And what I decided to do was use the existing wood and then purchase a couple boxes of a darker wood and then did a border and then it finally went well.
I also purchased a utility grade, which didn’t have a refund attached because it was so inexpensive. It was pretty much like if you were doing like a cabin or something or a vacation house. I got the wood home and it was nothing I could use in the main living area of my house. I took it back and they clearly said, “No refunds.” But when I took it back to the store, they did refund my money and I was able to purchase something else.
I’ve done the installation myself. It was slow, but I wasn’t in a hurry. I just took my time. You have little hiccups and things don’t work out right the first time. You might cut something incorrectly or you’re not measuring correctly, but just experience has taught me to just take my time and work through it. They have a quality product and they have good customer service. I would recommend them.

I had the ability to order online from Lumber Liquidators and I did but I visited my local store and talked to the reps about the products. The interaction at the store was excellent and the sales rep was nice and very knowledgeable. I purchased 1,000 feet of bamboo flooring and about 36 feet of butcher block countertop. I bought the floor first and it was okay and had good value but I probably wouldn't purchase this flooring again. It's 3/8 and during installation, it was easy to ding the sides and if you put your nails too close together such as four inches apart, you'll blow the tongue off. In a couple of cases, I exploded the base of the entire board but I bought enough to have extras. I've used bamboo before and I like the product but I won't buy one that's thin again. If they offer a thicker product, I would purchase one next time.
I had a problem with the countertop and the guys at the store weren't able to help me out. It was a few weeks before I got to the countertop install. I had special ordered three 12-foot pieces. The first one looked okay so I got busy and started cutting. The quality of the other two pieces was horrible and I ended up having to do a lot of sanding and a lot of post work. They rolled it up to the regional folks and I said after that I would never do business with Lumber Liquidators again. They oversold on the products, so it was going to be five weeks to get another slab or to replace the two slabs that were of unacceptable quality. I asked if there was something they could do for me. The first one has been cut but I could return all three and get a different product. The rep said I was welcome to return the two pieces I haven't cut and that was the end of it.
I went back to the store and looked at the quality of the demo piece and obviously it wasn't the quality that I got. They sold several grades that were listed as builder grade and I purposely avoided those because I didn't want a builder grade countertop. But I purchased the Maple, it was not listed as builder grade and it was junk and work bench quality. It was not kitchen cabinet quality and I spent an extra 20 hours sanding and working that wood so that it would look decent. I did what I could with it and I'm okay with the outcome even if it was not what I wanted. They would have to offer a better quality product and make clear that the product you're getting fairly represent the products.

Sadly I found defect in my other store and another nightmare surfaced. The floor has many different colors which perfectly hid the manufactured defect. I truly didn’t want to deal with them again but I paid a lot of money for this sloppy workmanship and wanted some recourse from it.
I reached out to ** before my one year warranty was to expire and he assured me that everything will work out fine. He sent Jim ( installer ) out to the store which around ten weeks later decided to ale a visit. After inspecting it he even said “I have never seen flooring do that. It has to be a manufacture problem”. For close to a year and the defect remained the same, which by all accounts is another indicator that after so much traffic crossing its path it should have grown bigger if it somehow was human error.
Everyone agrees that it was just one of those things that happen. I have the extra piece as well. Look! I could have someone else install the piece for little money BUT it’s the principle of the matter. I paid good money to have the floor professional installed to make sure it would be under warranty. I never once threaten them and always spoke with much respect. I never acted out in an outraged manner. I do not believe in doing business like that. I own a business so I treat people how I would like to be treated.
Bottom line. Once the money has been accepted and cleared their bank-good luck! Flags- shading looking installers. Smoke break every 20 mins and head to van for an additional 20 mins. All day affair for a job that should have taken half a day. My objective is only to tell the truth and make sure that whomever chances their product and install to make sure you babysit. Trust me, once they leave wave goodbye!

Lumber Liquidators have been amazing. I'm a contractor and I've been doing a lot of laminate and unfinished flooring. We've been working with Lumber Liquidators for about six months and they have helped me out a lot. All of the representatives, particularly the one in Fairfield, are great. They all take their time to help me out every time I need something. They take care of me and I'm in and out. So it's been a good experience. The product that I purchased also worked beautifully in terms of installation. It is very good stuff. So dealing with them has worked out perfectly.

Our other floors had gotten water damage and my wife wanted to go with engineered bamboo flooring. The sales representatives from Lumber Liquidators were very helpful and really nice. Then we had an installation team come in. They worked hard but it was tough to communicate with them. Also, the foreman wasn’t there very often and he was also pushy and arrogant and acted like he knew how to do everything. They had laid some that weren’t staggered and my wife didn’t want it done that way, so they ended up giving us a credit on it for some of the flooring that we had to redo ourselves. It took us a day to do it.
The installation is simple but if we ever do it again, we’ll probably just do it all ourselves. Also, the flooring seems tough that certain spots of it aren’t fitting really well. We put it up next to some steps and the installers had to glue the steps down. And the stuff that botched up the steps is kinda squeaky. Other than that, we like the flooring from Lumber Liquidators. And the price was okay for its quality.

We had a new build that didn't have floors yet so we got bamboo flooring and like thresholds from Lumber Liquidators. We also got the stuff that goes underneath our furniture so they don't scratch up our floor. Thereafter, we installed the flooring and found it extremely easy to work with during installation. However, we're kind of disappointed with it as it isn't very durable. We were hanging curtain rods which fell on me and took a chunk out of the floor before we even moved into our home. I feel the flooring we got was soft and it scratches really easily. Still, I'm happy that it looks beautiful with the scratches.

We purchased flooring from Lumber Liquidators. It turned out to be bad flooring, it was advertised as scratch resistant. Well it was anything but, it started scratching like butter even with pads on the bottom of items. The rep called me back with a very rude tone to her voice, with a loophole with their definition of scratch resistant. It was nothing but a loophole answer. So the bottom line is because of their definition of scratch resistant they are going to do nothing about the bad flooring they sold us, we were told, "Too bad so sad." We will never buy from them again. I encourage all consumers to stand up against this kind of bullying and boycott this bad company. This may be the reason they have been sued in the past.

Lumber Liquidators had some hardwood flooring available and I got the product and got the job done. Working with the product was a tough job any way one looks at it. It was on concrete floor so there's nothing easy about it. But it was as good as what I had to work with as far as the job that I was working on. It was a collect payment and the only thing I didn't agree with was one of the guys up at the counter had told the customer how much they would do the job for, and ended up coming back on me wondering why my place wasn't as low as theirs. I didn't realize that the customer actually went back and did that. I also didn't know whether it was just conversation or what, but it came up as about $1,000 cheaper than what we were doing it for, and that wasn't too good.
Also, the customer may have just been blowing smoke but they had mentioned that there was a $500 rebate on the wood that they bought and they tried to tell me that I got $500 from Lumber Liquidators. Supposedly, that came from one of the salespeople up there that they talked to at the counter. I told them they were crazy because I didn't pay for the flooring to begin with. They paid for it on their credit card, so how would they ever give that to me. So other than the crap the customer said which could be a ploy to not pay me, everything was good with Lumber Liquidators. We didn't get paid for the job, but we got it done.

I have given Lumber Liquidators 5 stars in the past. They really have been great to deal with. We have purchased two different types of flooring from them in the past and planned on purchasing more. The reason for this rating... We purchased some flooring and supplies (thinset, grout, tools, etc) when we bought our house 2 years ago. We wanted the floors to be our first big purchase because we knew we would have to finance it. We told the employee that we would not be putting down floors for at least a year or two because we were doing the work ourselves and we had to get cabinets and other stuff made before putting the floors.
We asked more than once about the thinset and grout. We asked if we should come back to get the supplies when we were ready to lay the floors. The employee said "No, don't do that, just get it today so you can finance it all together." My husband thought for sure that the thinset wouldn't last that long but the employee assured us that it was fine and had a long shelf life.
Fast forward to this weekend, my husband spent hours on his hands and knees laying the floor. We allowed the dry-time and it wasn't dry. We waited another half-day and it still was not sticking. The thinset went bad. He called Lumber Liquidators and they are offering us 25% off new thinset. We have spent over $6,000 and they won't give us a full exchange on the thinset??? That's horrible customer service. We didn't just assume the thinset had a long shelf life, we were told by the employee that it did. That is wrong. We still have to remodel our kitchen and I know where we are NOT getting our floors from.

A number of years ago, I had purchased a fair amount of ¾-inch Brazilian cherry flooring from Lumber Liquidators and did three bedrooms and two bathrooms at that time after we purchased this house. And I had not done two large closets at that time and so I had a bit of the product left. I purchased the same product this time to finish up the closets to make sure I had enough and add to what I had left over as it were when I did the earlier work.
The sales representatives who helped me were fine. I went in knowing what I had to match and that made it relatively straightforward for them to tell me that they had it or didn’t have it and they had it. Given that I'm older than I was when I did the earlier work, the installation was not exactly easy on old knees, but it was straightforward. And by and large, even though the actual brand of the flooring of that size that product was different, the packages indicated a different manufacturer that they had used, but it matched up satisfactorily.
With a lot of years in between, the quality of the new wood didn’t seem to be as good as what I got before. It's a tongue and groove product and there had been some difficulty at some point in time with some edge breakage, but it was on the underside, so it wasn’t bad. And I ran into a couple of cases where the grooves at the end pieces were not as deep as the tongue required. But it wasn't a major problem and I routed out what I need to make the joint. Still, I wouldn’t hesitate to tell somebody that I had a satisfactory matching experience with Lumber Liquidators and I'd recommend that they look into it.

I'm a woodturner and I go to Lumber Liquidators looking for one-off boxes that is they have one box left over after they sold the rest off. And they can't get rid of them because nobody wants to buy just one box and adding it to another order. I got nine boxes so far and they're all different but they're working great for me. I strip off the finish, get back to the bare wood, cut the interlocking sides off both sides, so I end up with a flat, squarish piece and then I laminate them together into a shape I want and then I turn them on a lathe. So they're unique pieces.
The Lumber Liquidators sales people have been very good and very helpful. They were very accommodating and several times, they've called me up and said, "Hey, we've got a couple boxes of this. Are you interested?" I went down and they brought me to the back and loaded up a whole bunch of boxes that they had just a few of, put it on a big skid and let me go through it and I picked what I wanted. I was very pleased, and I was interested, so I bought them. I can't use everything they have but I've been sharing it with other woodturners in my club and some of them have been buying boxes as well. At our meetings, I'm always showing them the latest piece I made with Lumber Liquidators. And so I'm always recommending them to go in.

We bought some flooring and the pad for under it, a nail gun and the staple from Lumber Liquidators. When we first went in and were just looking, we didn’t know what kind of flooring we wanted, but the sales rep was very helpful. He spent as much time with us as we had questions and he was knowledgeable. He wasn't pushy and he had explanations for why we need to do this and why we need to do that. And it made perfect sense and we were totally satisfied.
We got the Distressed Strand Bamboo. I liked the idea that the bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource, and the price was good, and we liked the way it looked. The quality seems good, too. We’ve never done the actual hardwood before. We’ve always done the laminate and so, it seems a lot better than that. The installation was easy. My husband, Earl, is still working on the hallway and he said it’s kind of a bummer to cut a notch out of it. It cuts into the piece but then the one in-between them don’t even make a saw that he has that does that. It’s really hard stuff, but Earl got it. And we have a son who is a housing contractor and he told him a better way to do it, too. And Earl also said it’s kind of fun and it’s an amazing flooring. It goes together nice.
We went to Lowe’s, Mart’s, Home Depot, and to other flooring places online and looked around, and Lumber Liquidators had the best price for what we got. The only thing is that the picture of the flooring that we got on the website is not the product that we got. It’s got much more variety, more golden brown and medium and dark browns. And if you click on the regular Strand Bamboo and the Distressed, it’s both the same picture and neither one is correct. So, that’s misleading because it is so beautiful in the picture. What we got is much darker and not as much variety of color as what the picture leads you to believe. But still, we’d definitely recommend Lumber Liquidators to anybody.

We bought a new house and the whole house had wood floor in it, but we wanted the kitchen to unmatch the rest of the house. We purchased unfinished white oak flooring from Lumber Liquidators. I pretty much looked either at Lowe’s, Home Depot, or Lumber Liquidators. And it was cheaper there at Lumber Liquidators, so that was why I got it from them. It did seem a little weird that the unfinished wood was a little more expensive than the finished wood though but it was 4.30 a square foot which was pretty cheap. I called, told them what I wanted and the interaction with the sales rep was professional. The flooring looks pretty good and it seems like it’s high quality.

We got some Hickory flooring for Dad's dining room and our experience then made it easier for me to purchase from Lumber Liquidators when my wife and I decided to re-do the living room. We drove the 120 miles to choose and order the flooring. 3/4" x 31/2" Acacia Tobacco Road T&G flooring. It sat in the house for just over 1 year before I got around to installing it, but I think it turned out great. There was a good variety of lengths in each of the boxes that we opened. The guys at Lumber Liquidators were very nice and informative. The product arrived pretty much when they said it would, and everything worked out very well. Install the floor yourself if you can. It really saves on waste if you are careful. I bought enough, and still have the dining room to do too.

I wanted to update my flooring and Lumber Liquidators' selection was a little more than what my local Lowe’s had. I didn’t like the options there. So I went with Lumber Liquidators and they were very helpful. They were very knowledgeable about the products and they answered if I had questions why one was different from another. I bought some arcadia hardwood tongue and groove, and they gave me advice about installation. I installed it with a family friend who’s a general contractor and so far, it's been great. It was expensive but I got a good product and I’d recommend it. Lumber Liquidators nailed it. I like the product and I had a good experience. In fact, that was just one room and I plan on using them for the rest of the house.

When I finally had the time and resources to do my flooring, I went to Lumber Liquidators and purchased oak hardwood. Their staff was really friendly and very nice. The woman I worked with was really helpful because I needed to call back and pay and she wanted to make sure I have the right floor. And I really appreciate the good customer service. I only went in once and it was in a rush time-wise but everything was good so far.
I hired a contractor who usually works with Lumber Liquidators to do the installation. He’s the one who recommended me to go to Lumber Liquidators and he's been really great and helpful. Installation has been started but there are a lot of pieces with chips in them and I’m not sure if it's supposed to be like that. I didn’t buy the most expensive flooring but it wasn’t the cheapest one either. It’s not terrible quality, but it's just not great. So, I’m just a little bit concern. I haven't been able to call them and sort of see what they can do about that. I would probably recommend them but be careful or more diligent in checking the pieces beforehand which I didn’t do.

My wife wanted to update the flooring, so I came by the store of Lumber Liquidators. The store was set up nicely and all the different displays were set up well. The products were easy to locate and it wasn't hard to determine one type of product from another so the customers could make their pick. But what really sold me was that, without a doubt, their salesman was the best. He was very helpful and he had a great presentation on their products. He knew everything about what he was selling and he wasn’t pressuring me.
I purchased some dark brown, bamboo hardwood floor. Just by looking at the sample of the flooring that the salesman gave me, I was sold on it and I was satisfied with it. I got the engineering grade of hardwood and in comparison with another flooring company that I went to, almost all the prices of Lumber Liquidators for the different types of hardwood were reasonable. I’ll probably have the flooring installed this week. I had planned on getting someone to install it for me, but I’m one of those guys that do a lot of things and I’ll probably do it myself.

I installed the product and I still had to do the process of sanding and staining, but it was pretty good. It wouldn’t crack when the nails were driven in. The floor was installed in January 2018, and I noted problems soon after and conveyed that message to a representative that called me on 1-31-18 to ask how I liked the new floor. I submitted photos and emails to the corporate office. I called the local San Antonio, Texas, store many times. I received LOTS of PROMISES that this was going to be addressed, and yet I have not heard from them in over two months. My advice is DO NOT let Lumber Liquidators install your floor. The "Installation that is 100% guaranteed" statement on the website is a JOKE.

I called the store and was told that my floor was “oversold”. Appears that someone else ordered the same floor as me but she was shorted a box, so one of my boxes was given to her and therefore shorted me a box. Item was on clearance and unable to be ordered again so I was just out of luck! Will NEVER order from Lumber Liquidators again. I was replacing floor in a current existing home and Lumber Liquidators was the only ones that actually had any in-stock. I initially ordered online and I was a little bit confused about how that worked. There was an order number that the online system gave me, but it did not match up with anything in stores. So, when I called they weren’t able to actually tell me what my order was. They had to do a lot of searching for it. Then I found out later they didn’t have the wood flooring in-stock. It happened that somebody else actually bought all of them at the same time. So, they had to order it but at least they could still get it.
Then there were a few little hiccups or a little bit of a delay on the front end after I had placed the order where one of their customer service representatives called me about a week and a half to tell me when the actual shipping of the flooring was going to happen. He said that it would probably be six weeks. It was on a Friday when I called the store and then that night I got an email that said my order was in and would be there. And then I got a call on Saturday from them saying it was in. Somebody cancelled their order, the manufacturer shipped it, then I ended up being able to get the product. Overall, it came early so I was very happy about that.
The overall quality of the flooring, out of the box, was fine and there was nothing wrong with it. I was matching it to an older flooring and it doesn’t quite match but a lot of that is due to the sun. The sun darkens up the Brazilian cherry after a while. They may have changed their tongue and groove slightly, so there’s little stuff there. But as an installer, I know that that’s not that meant by the manufacturer of the flooring.

We’ve used Lumber Liquidators before in Austin. Those floors we got from them were six years old before we moved and they still looked brand new. So, they held up wonderfully. We're in New Mexico now, and I told our contractor that I wanted wood floors and he recommended Lumber Liquidators again. I drove to Albuquerque and purchased the engineered wood flooring from them. Their sales representative was wonderful. He was a new guy but every question I had, I appreciated the time that he took in finding out rather than just giving us some story. He didn’t know everything but he definitely got the information for us. Then he took us to the computer and showed us pictures online and how it looked in the room. He did a really good job and he was the one that made it easier for us to make the purchase.
The installation process has been slow, though. I've never had radiant heat before and the radiant heats in the floor. So, the installers have to put a vapor barrier down and then they have to put another barrier down. And so, it made the process a little longer than I expected. But it has nothing to do with Lumber Liquidators. They gave me everything I needed. Two bedrooms are in and we have another office to do. But the flooring looks beautiful and I’m really pleased with it. It has exactly the look I wanted. The cost wasn’t cheap but it wasn’t overly expensive as well.
The only thing is that the showroom in Albuquerque is very small and they’re limited on what they have. It would be nice to have more selection. I was used to a bigger Lumber Liquidators and I was surprised they just had one little area there. The other Lumber Liquidators are big and they have pieces of the wood so you can see what it looks like on the floor. But I’d recommend Lumber Liquidators.

They were supposed to deliver on a certain day, but they couldn't. It was gonna be two weeks later, so I got my money back from them. And then one of my friends suggested I go over to Lumber Liquidators. I went and they actually had what I needed on-hand. I thought they’d be a little more expensive, but they weren’t. They had the same value as Home Depot, if not, a little bit cheaper. I even got a credit card with them.
The sales reps were great and very knowledgeable, as well. They were also able to spend one-on-one time with me. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes and was able to pick up my floors the next day if I wanted, but I waited a couple of days. They also suggested a lot of extra product and I had to use some other stuff for the flooring that we needed. So, it was great. The cost of the flooring was really good too and the flooring's sturdy, as well. I like it. It’s a light wood and looks really great. It was easy to install, too. However, it scratches a little bit easily. But when you wipe it down, they come off fairly easily too. I'd recommend Lumber Liquidators.

I just bought a house and I went to Lumber Liquidators for flooring. I worked with the sales rep named Kathy for about an hour putting floors, switching off and comparing on them. She was good and very knowledgeable. I paid for Paradise Valley Oak and they told me in the store that it would be in in a week. Two weeks had passed but I never got a call from them. I had to be out of my storage unit in two weeks and I told them not. My storage unit gave me another week 'cause it was rented. Three weeks had passed and I still never heard from Lumber Liquidators.
When it was exactly a month, I called Lumber Liquidators and told them that I wanted my money back. The rep said that the flooring was coming on the truck that night. I told him, “You tell me a week and it’s been a month.” He told me that the floor that I ordered was getting an update, the Click-Lock system didn’t work well, so they were changing the way of the material and I was getting a better floor than what I originally had paid for but it was taking longer. I asked him how much longer would it take to get the flooring and he responded that he didn't know. I had a feeling he knew it was going to be more than a week and he didn’t want to tell me that. And so, I got my money back. I wasn’t in a hurry but two weeks was enough time. If they would have said it was going to be a month, I would have picked another floor. It just messed up everything and the painters couldn’t come. They weren’t really transparent on the whole process.

I am renovating my kitchen and downstairs area. I decided to use Lumber Liquidators. Again to replace my bamboo floor I purchased from them in 2013. It scratched so I did my research and decided on a 7mm EVP floor for $2.87 a foot. I purchased 490 sqft, along with transition pieces. I needed the floor by 5/25/18 because the general contractor wanted to install that first before the painting and re-finishing my cabinets due to the dust. I was told it would be in their store on Wednesday, 5/23/18. Perfect, that would give the flooring time to acclimate in my house and it would be ready for the GC's team to install. Well I called and spoke to Dwight today and it did not come in on 5/23.
I explained my situation that I had to have it by Friday otherwise I would cancel and get a refund and purchase from Prosource. He talked to his boss and they were going to freight it to me and it would be in on Friday, 5/25/18. Well I called today and guess what, it is not there. He said he had a guarantee shipment but it was in transit. I called their customer complaint and they said they would try to get it delivered on Saturday. Then I got another callback and they said it would be Tuesday 5/29/18. I have to pay for this team to be here tomorrow, 5/26/18 and give them $500 just so he could pay for his workers. This is unacceptable. Someone, didn't do their job.
I never got a heads up about the $1700 of vinyl plank not making it in time, nothing. I always had to call. I told them I have to pay another $500 for the team to come back out and do the install again. This is a lost of time and money and now my renovation is delayed. I have family coming into town in a week and nothing is going to be done in time. I told them I should get a discount and they said nothing. Terrible neglect to take care of the customer. Never will I use them again. The sad thing was I didn't get an apology.

And the rep ordered the oak flooring. I told him that I wanted to make sure that I was getting a good product and not utility grade. He told that I was definitely not getting utility grade and that it was going to have more grain features and more knots in it than the select wood.
Their customer service was good. They were courteous, nice, and helpful, but the product sucked. The boards were warped and some of them were missing the tongues that seat into their grooves. I had to fight with them to get them lined up and to actually seat properly. When I did finish the floor, there were gaps in it that had to be filled. They were not just small gaps. And, they hired a team for us to install it. However, the installers need to be a little bit more cleaner in their product because we just had walls painted and the guy who installed it had dirty hands. I bought some flooring and after I got it all loaded in my vehicle it was like “Oh, do you know that you have to have it acclimate for three weeks?” No one mentioned the acclimation. There was a ton details left out. There was also an advertised price for the door that I agreed to and I double checked this. And it was completely erroneous. We corrected the price but I hope they are accurate. It would have been nice to not have to discover that I was overcharged $160 and then it would have been cool to know that with the product before you buy it, you can't install it today and you're gonna have to wait about a month.

I purchase bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators and it was installed all over our house. But I’m very not satisfied with the product. It was advertised as four times harder than hardwood yet it scratches easier than balsa wood. It takes nothing to scratch it, and I was really sorry that I bought this product.

I bought a home in a 55-plus community and the place came with the cheapest carpeting you've ever seen in the world. And one of the units with hardwood was not available, so I knew I was going to replace the carpet in the one I got, and that was what I did. I bought engineered hardwood from Lumber Liquidators and their sales reps were great and very helpful. I worked with three of them. I took nine samples home and went to them three times because it was really hard to tell from the whole squares what you could get and what some would look when they were all put together. But Lumber Liquidators' reps were patient and there was no pressure. They answered questions and were very easy to work with.
I got a Brazilian chestnut, which is a hardwood, and at my age, I better not fall on it. It's the hardest stuff I've ever seen. It's lovely and was sorta on sale, too, at the time. The floor itself is good flooring and it was sold at an extremely reasonable price. In fact, it was about what I expected to pay. The guys that put it in were quick and it was perfectly installed, as far as I can tell. I also have the marble peach slab in front of my fireplace and the surround that they did for it is gorgeous. I didn't know if they were just gonna run wood up to it, but they didn't. They put the little flaps that you would put between them and two brooms. They did a really professional job of installing the flooring and they're the first contractor I've ever worked with that I did not complain about. Their calls were prompt and I had a very good experience with them.
At Home Depot, once they sell you the product, they're done with you. And if you have a problem with the installation, you have to take it up with whoever they outsourced it to. But at Lumber Liquidators, they have their own people do it. So, if there's a problem, you don't have to go to the people that installed it. You go directly back to Lumber Liquidators and they'll take care of it. So that, to me, was a good selling point.

The carpet I had was bad and I wanted to do the same thing all the way through. I purchased wood panel flooring from Lumber Liquidators and I've had a good experience dealing with their sales team. The quality of the flooring is good and the cost was fine. But, we had a few issues with the third party contractor that Lumber Liquidators sent out to install the flooring. They were very unprofessional, it seemed that it took a lot longer than what they had told me that it was gonna take, and some furniture items have been scratched. The installation cost so much too. It was as much as the flooring. I would prefer not to have them if I had to have anything else done.

I had a leak that ruined about 12 boards in the kitchen, so I had to replace those. I went over to Lumber Liquidators to check them out and they were real nice about everything. Their sales reps were polite and very informative. They explained everything to me and I ended up buying hardwood flooring from them. They couldn’t match the bamboo that I had, so I had to go with something else and replace the flooring for the whole of the house which was a total of 900 and something square feet. I'm satisfied with my new flooring. It's durable and the price was reasonable. Also, I had small boards before which were about 3½ inches while these are 5-inches and 6 foot long which made their installation pretty easy. I had somebody install the new flooring and it took about a week to complete. All in all, Lumber Liquidators knew what to do and I liked them.

My floors in the house were old and so we replaced the carpeting with hardwood from Lumber Liquidators. We installed the flooring ourselves and it was excellent to work with. Installation was very easy. The cost was also well worth it, and that was the deciding factor in going with Lumber Liquidators.

My son renovates houses and he has purchased a lot of items from Lumber Liquidators. I like the product that he used so I also purchased from them. I got pressed wood because my floors were old and needed updating. The salesman was very good but my order got pushed back and it was a problem with the truck service that they used.
I called Lumber Liquidators back because I didn’t get an email that the flooring was going to be delivered and I already made arrangements with the contractor to come and help me with it. The first guy that helped me was very rude and he didn’t care about my concern. I was very upset. Then he had my salesman call me who was very nice. He explained that he didn’t have any knowledge and it was something out of his control. I told him that that wasn’t right. Somebody could have called me because I got to pay the contractors per day and make appointments with them to come to my house to help me with the delivery. Then Lumber Liquidators' manager in the store called me back with the exact time and date of the delivery. He apologized and was very kind and very concerned. That made the big difference.
I love my new flooring. It looks like an expensive type even though I didn’t pay a whole lot for it. Also, I have two dogs and when they walk on it, I don’t see any scratches though the salesman told me that would happen. Everything worked out for the best and I get a lot of compliments on my floor. I also referred two people to Lumber Liquidators and one of the ladies went and bought from them already. Another one is going to buy some floor for her kitchen because she saw how nice mine came out.

I got tired of looking at my old floors and I decided to update them. I heard a lot of good things about Lumber Liquidators and their prices were great. So, I got bamboo flooring from them and their sales reps were great and very knowledgeable about the products. I like the color of my new flooring. It's different. I also like its longevity, hardness, and durability. I was really impressed with it. I installed it myself which was not hard at all and I have it for almost a month now. I love it and so far, it's still holding up very well. Other than that, Lumber Liquidators' app was really nice and helpful.

We had just purchased our house which is a complete remodel home that we went into unknowingly. We went to Lumber Liquidators two different times, one to the Cincinnati office and one to the Dayton office, and the gentleman at the Dayton office who we purchased the floors from was very helpful. We got engineered hardwood flooring and I love them. They’re very high quality. We have a toddler and so far they’re holding up nicely against her. It was my first picked flooring that was a little bit out of our price range, but it was a good price for the quality. We did the installation ourselves and it was really easy, and it turned out really good.
The only thing I thought was odd was Lumber Liquidators didn’t call when the product was in. I called to see if the floor was in and they said, “Yeah.” I asked if I could come pick it up in two days, and they said, “Yeah. We don’t want to leave the product in the warehouse very long because we have a lot of things in there.” Maybe it was just a fluke that ours got messed up as far as calling to let us know that it was in, but that was the only hiccup. I've already recommended them.

I got a pre-finished floor from Lumber Liquidators and there was only one box I had to patch. And we did some work and we removed the wall. So, I had to tie in about half a box worth of planking into an existing floor. It was very easy installing it. It was getting the old floor out that was tough ‘cause everything was glued. But in putting the new one, we just chopped it to the width and length we needed and tied it in. We're very happy with the flooring's quality. It was very good. Also, it was very easy doing the purchase and dealing with the representatives. They were very helpful and they had the best match for the flooring that was already there because it was about 13 years old.

I am a Registered Interior Designer, and my husband is a Licensed Architect. Our experience with Lumber Liquidators was a disaster from project onset. During demolition, the contractors poured the self-leveling cement before they had removed all of the existing tile and before the wall demolition was complete; therefore, the subfloor was uneven when the flooring was installed, and "humps" were apparent in the final installation. There were (and still are) multiple hollow areas that had to be injected with adhesive after installation. In recent months, the flooring has started "cupping" and "splitting" which is a direct result of an insufficient amount of moisture-cure adhesive. We spent over $14,000 on solid Tobacco Road Acacia which now has to be replaced. I will not use Lumber Liquidators again nor will I ever recommend this company.

We got a bamboo floor from Lumber Liquidators. I really like the price and they had the product easily available. Also, the guys at Lumber Liquidators were knowledgeable. They assured me that I could put the floor down myself which I did. A couple of them had experiences with the floor and they described the experience and gave me a couple of tips. I ended up dealing with four different guys and they all knew the same thing. And it didn’t bother them. Somebody would do something and they didn’t shuffle it off to the first guy. They just took care of it. Everybody that’s seen our new flooring is asking me if I can do their house. I would send anyone to Lumber Liquidators.

The carpet in the hall upstairs was getting really unsightly so it was time to do something. I purchased regular, pre-finished flooring boards from Lumber Liquidators and the cost was all right. Lumber Liquidators have a great big place 70 miles from where the store I bought it and when my purchase came, I went there and picked up two of the boxes. But one whole set was destroyed and there were pieces torn up box. The boy said that we can wait for another box, but I didn’t wanna wait for another box. So he said that I can bring it back. But I forgot to tell those boys that if there's any left over, we could put it together and put it in that broken box then take it back. One of the boxes was severely torn and the boards are random so for the size there were about five boards we couldn’t use.
The thing that got me was that the boy didn’t offer to discount that box. And he didn’t have another box to replace it in the warehouse or wherever and then he said it would be a while before he even gets another box. The place is not that far from the house, but I don’t wanna drive 10 miles to and 10 miles back and then go get another box. At the same time, I knew I had plenty from the previous job I did. But I would have thought if I was gonna give somebody something I would have said well I can get you another box for a week or whatever when Lumber Liquidators is right down the road and also at the same time I would have said, let me take 10% off or let me take $10 off or something, but that wasn’t said or done. They should make the customer happy especially if they think they won't come back and deal with them again. But to be fair to the boy, he just took over managing that thing and he had come from somewhere else.
This is not the first time I bought pre-finished flooring and whenever I buy, there are crooked pieces and it's just about 80% decent and then 20% is what one really have to work with. I hired an installation team and the one that works with Lumber Liquidators was absolutely ridiculous. I gave him $25 upfront to come measure and they came out and then they had all the information and it took them forever to tell me what they were gonna charge. And I thought their charge was way too much when there were only three boxes. I paid 300 and something dollars to Lumber Liquidators and they wanted over $900 to install it. That’s silly. So, I got the man who lives next door for that.
However, it's the first time the man had ever seen the flooring and he didn’t understand it. He did a good job, but he was really complaining. I had 4 boxes 18 years ago and I installed the flooring myself downstairs and we had a box left over when we finished. The box has knots and curves, and I wasn’t around when he put it down so that I could have probably showed him a few tricks on how to put it in and get the curves out. Still, the flooring quality was fine.

We had ripped off the carpet as soon as we bought our house, and we were originally gonna go with the floors that were under the carpet. But they were laid oddly, so we decided to buy some engineered hardwood. We purchased for the first time from Lumber Liquidators and got Mayflower hardwood floor. They were all very helpful in the store, answered all our questions, and made sure we saw all of our options. While we haven’t had the chance to walk on the flooring and see how durable it is, I like it. And I thought it was going to be a lot more expensive but I was very happy with the cost.
