I'm a customer of Lumber Liquidators for three years already. Their flooring has good quality, that's why I like it. The guys that work there are pretty nice people too. They're good salesmen. Sometimes they make deals, that's what I like. When I purchase some of the materials, I get some deals sometimes. Next week, I have to go and get some tiles.

I bought laminate flooring from Lumber Liquidators in their Oakwood Shelby location. I was in there last week. I brought a client with me. We’re doing a full condo reno. It just seemed convenient and easy, and they have a reasonable-priced product. And usually, they have always been pretty real nice. But the last time we were in there, the guy that was running the place really wasn’t like very friendly. But he was helpful and he did a fine job. The flooring has great quality and I always recommend them to all my friends.

I am telling the truth on Lumber Liquidator on what has happened to me. We came in the Rockford Illinois store to purchase 1700 square feet of hardwood. We order everything from quarter round to the underlay to the wood. We picked it up the day before we closed on our house and after we put all this flooring in the house I found out it was the wrong floor. WE had installers coming in the next day to put this floor down so we could move in. I called the store the next day and all they could say was, "We can give you $800. back back." I had no other option but the keep this floor.
Well as it turn out the finish was coming off this floor. They in turned told me to call and installer and just pick that piece out. Well that did not work so I called again and they in turned called an inspector to come and look at my floor. The inspector wrote it up to look like I did not care about this floor. He said it was put in wrong and that I did not have a dehumidifier at all times. Then to make matters worse the girl I was working with put a block on her email so I could not contact her again.
I finally decided to call the guy that did my other floor in Illinois to come and look to see if he could work a miracle on this floor. He did redo my floor. He said that the mill cut was terrible and that the finish that they use had too much anti oxen on this wood. He did remove all of this so call finish and I now have a nice looking floor that I wanted to have in the first place.
I did write to Lumber crap wood and they have NEVER replied. Can you believe that. All I wanted was for them to just pay the refinisher. Now we were in a hotel for a week and had to buy meals out. Had to come in and completely was the whole house down with all the dust. I cannot begin to tell you how much money we have put into this floor. Please, PLEASE, DO NOT GET FLOORING FROM LUMBER LIQUIDATORS. It is crap wood. They take your money and they do not make good on their crap floor when defective.

We got hardwood floors from Lumber Liquidators in Robinson. Everything was professional. They gave me a great price. I ended up buying enough to do almost my house, and I am going this fall to go finish the rest of my house. And also, it was a good enough experience for me that I sent my dad up there, and he bought laminate for his whole house as well. And he did his whole house out of Robinson also. We love the flooring so far.

Over a year ago, I got some prefab flooring from Lumber Liquidators. I knew what I wanted and that I wanted a store that was close to my house and the Lumber Liquidators in Garfield Avenue in Duluth, Minnesota was the closest flooring place. The sales team there was nice and quick. I told the rep what my budget was and he made it work. He also gave me some pointers on how to install the flooring and I went from there. I rented the tools and installed the flooring myself. The installation turned out really good. It is fairly easy as long as one has the time and the good tool. All in all, the flooring is good and it's very easy to walk on. I enjoyed it and it worked well.

I purchased Morning star honey strand bamboo in Feb. 2019. It is July 2019 and my boards in kitchen and foyer are shrinking and leaving large gaps. I filed a claim and the person handling it said it was a humidity problem. We have central air and it stays on in the summer. If it was humidity it would have shown up a long time ago. LL will not repair my floor. I’ve spent quite a bit of money over the years at LL. Never again and I’ll never recommend them.

I purchased a hardwood-type-looking floor. It's like a newer style of vinyl, but it looks like dark oak. It was on sale with a really good price, so I picked that one. The floor is beautiful but it is a lot softer than I thought. I can't have women over with high-heeled shoes. They'll just leave marks at my floor. And all furniture has felt underneath because the floor is getting marked up very, very easily. That’s one thing that I didn’t know and they didn’t tell me.
I was moving furniture around. The contractors moved my fridge around, and the floors in the kitchen were an absolute disaster. I had some extra boards, so they cut out the ones that were in there and mounted these ones back in and they looked new again. But those ones that they cut out now and that they put back in, they mounted them the best they could, but they're not interlocked now. The contractor was surprised how soft it was too. So next time I buy a hardwood floor, it will definitely not be as damageable as this floor is.

Since the hurricane we basically have lost contact with the case on the flooring. To sum the experience up. I was lied to about the scratch resistance of the flooring.? The durability to everyday wear. The outstanding warranty. The outstanding lumber group behind the warranty. Then, I was informed that the batch I purchase was discontinued within a short period after purchase by your affiliate. When I attempted to receive compensation I was told if they knew at the store in Tallahassee I live in Sneads within five miles of the lake. He would not have sold me the flooring.
I purchase additional flooring and it was also defective. I purchase a dehumidifier and after several months the flooring began to shrink but remained roiled on the edge. My experience contractor said on a few occasions he seen this and immediately the bamboo was replaced. He receive compensation for the material and not his labor. I am not allowing you to tear the floor up. I have completed moisture samples and are well in the ranges for a successful flooring base. Since the lawsuit I have receive assurances that you will allow a store credit. We are in the process of replacing the floor. This will be your last chance to resolve this issue. Then the lawyers will receive unjust compensation for your negligence to be a just provider of goods that you claimed as a good product.

I got hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators in-store at Rancho and Craig, and though one guy was wrong with his measurements, they were okay. However, having the stair nose come out to where you cut it at two lengths could have been better because for two stairs, there's a lot of waste on it. On our first visit to the Elk Grove showroom, a salesperson loaned us samples. When we returned them, having made our choice, a different salesperson discovered that the previous person hadn’t taken our information, so we gave it. We called the flooring company LL recommended, and a rep came out to measure the floors. (We paid $39 for that visit.) We were told we be contacted with an estimate. Now, amazingly, six days later, the store is asking us which hardwood we chose! We’d like to pull out of the deal, since the Elk Grove office procedures seems so slipshod. But the $39 is not refundable.

Hello, I am reaching out to customer service as my family and I received the worse customer service at one of the locations. I planned a lovely day with my family, as we all got to share our experience remodeling our new home together. Instead we experienced the worse customer service possible. My husband and I purchased over 1,000 square feet of our ideal floor for our home. We were a little short and needed to purchase a bit more. My husband and I contracted a flooring company to help us with the installation process. Seeing we were going to need more I called the Carrollton location and was able to get part of what was needed.
There I was greeted, and was helped in a very fast manner. I explained my situation to Mr. ** and he did everything possible to assist me as he was aware I was having to pay to have it installed. Mr. ** loaded my can fairly quickly, due to the circumstances even though he was the only person at the location. I was advised the rest of the material could be picked up at the Arlington location.
Upon getting into my vehicle, I called the Arlington location to advise I was on my way and if the items could be ready for pick up upon my arrival as I was in a very tight time frame. I advised I was on my way, and would be there in about 30 minutes. 3 minutes before arriving I called the Arlington location and asked if I needed to step into the store, or just pull into the back as I had previously paid for the boxes at the Carrollton location. I was advised I needed to step in to sign, then after pull into the back.
I arrived to the Arlington location, and was greeted. I advised I was there for pick up, and gave my name. The 2 workers advised I could sign the paperwork and proceed to picking up in the back loading part of the store. I pulled in as directed, and noticed no one was coming out. I waited about 18 minutes before someone came to the back. I then waited for the pallet to be brought out to my vehicle, but it did not happen. I was there waiting, in 100 degree weather with my family, over 45 minutes, as the workers had not prepared my items for pick up.
The worker continued to drive the forklift back and forth, moving boxes, rearranging materials, Making space, trying to find the boxes I needed. After a very long time of struggling and not being able to get to the boxes, I stepped into the store and asked the gentlemen at the front desk if he could please assist, as it looked like the worker in the warehouse was having some difficulty getting to the materials and was not sure if she was okay since it was so long. The gentlemen at the front desk then stated "it's only 2 of us here" and nothing else.
I once again stepped out into the very hot weather and waited with my family. The customer service there was unbelievable. The day I planned with my family turned into a day where we felt as if our plans were simply not important. This was our first experience with the company, and it went from amazing customer service, and wanting to refer family and friends. To reconsidering.

Now that I have it for a year, I can see that it’s not as great as a hardwood that I was expecting in terms of the shrinkage, and also in terms of how you get this hairline crack. My experience with Lumber Liquidators wasn’t very good. Originally, I was quoted for either number one or a select grade wood for $2 and change per square foot. So I went in to buy the hardwood floors but suddenly, the price changed. The little jerk who quoted me didn’t even have the guts to tell me. He had to have his manager tell me. He just went and hid in the back room. Then once we got that all squared away, he talked me down to a number one grade thinking it was just fine and would do the job. So I bought it at a much higher price and I brought it home but the wood was junk.
I know good wood when I see it and that was not good wood. I put the flooring in myself and the width was varied by as much as a sixteenth of an inch, even more. You can’t put down a good floor with that kind of gaps in it. So I ended up having to take a whole bunch back and get the select grade, which wasn’t a whole hell of a lot better, and pay more money yet. But I got my floors down and I washed my hands. I’ll never do business with Lumber Liquidators again.

We purchased some bamboo flooring eight months ago from Lumber Liquidators in their store in the Sterling Heights area. The sales reps walked me through the availability of different products that would meet my needs, talked about where the flooring was gonna go, traffic areas and if we had any pets. We decided on a color from the range of options that they provided us. The floor has held up pretty well and the cost was on par with the quality. Installing the product wasn’t quite as easy as some of the videos I've seen out there, with trying to get it in to some of the tight locations. But I haven't really done a lot of that kind of floor install so, it was probably a little bit on myself more than the product. I needed flooring for my house. I found what I wanted at Lumber Liquidators' location in Brentwood, so I bought from them. I got hickory hardwood floors and my experience with them was good. So far, I’m also happy with my hickory flooring. But when I made a second purchase with them and this time, it was oak, I was pretty disappointed because it dents easily. It’s supposed to be hardwood, but whatever you drop makes a dent on the floor and I was surprised with that. It didn’t justify the cost for that kind of quality of wood and it wasn’t what I was looking for.
But since it’s already installed in, I don’t think I can get the money back. I got to have somebody to come in, take it out, and put a new floor in. Other than that, I installed the flooring myself and to work with it wasn’t a big deal. But I remembered that a few boxes of the hickory came out not as good quality as the rest. Once I opened them, there were water stains. They were a different batch but in the end, the flooring looks all right.

I went into the Lumber Liquidators store to check out the samples. The sales rep that I dealt with was very nice. He showed me all the different samples, and talked about the pros and cons of each of the different options available. He also told me what the pricing was. He said if I placed the order in the store, he would match the online pricing because the pricing was different. But I didn't know how much I needed, so I had to go back, check with my contractor, and then I placed the order online. Their website was pretty easy to use. They had a small little calculator in there and I could calculate how many boxes I needed.
The cost was very reasonable. I checked elsewhere as well for like products and the price was very competitive. The delivery took quite a while because they had to order the hardwood flooring and store it. I hired a private contractor to install it and he didn't complain about it. I have a pet in the house too, and the flooring has been holding up pretty good. My experience with Lumber Liquidators was pretty much as expected, and I'll go back over there if I have any future needs.

When I went to the Beltway 8 location of Lumber Liquidators, I had a little sketch of what it was I was trying to do. I also had pictures on my iPhone and the measurements. I told the salesperson I was looking for a real oak hardwood and they showed me around. They took my sketch and figured out how much I needed. They were very helpful and my interaction with them was easy.
I love the quality of the flooring. I ended up doing more than just the stairs and the two landing areas. I got a better price on the same product through a friend of mine but I wasn't so worried about prices. I was getting quality floorings and I got what I wanted. I also decided to do the hallway, the closet in the hallway and then the bedrooms. I did the entire upstairs into hardwood and I got lots and lots of compliments on it. It was a good deal and the flooring was awesome. I would recommend Lumber Liquidators.

When I initially went to LL the sales staff seemed helpful. I ended up purchasing 1800 square feet of LVP flooring. I spent over $7000 not including installation. First they delivered the wrong product for my remodel which I should have taken as a sign of what was to come. I had the floor installed with my own installers and immediately noticed it always looks dirty and hazy.
I checked my warranty and filed a complaint complete with photos. LL has their own inspectors who come to test the flooring (manufactured by LL), I also have their Bella Flooring cleaning products and the floor has been cleaned so many times, I even had my cleaning lady try to clean it but after 5 times in one day the floor still looked hazy and dirty. In short the inspector claimed my cleaning was inefficient and refused the claim. I spent over 10k and I do not have a serviceable floor. It is horrible. LL doesn't care either to make it right. I have now hired my own inspection company and intend to file a lawsuit against them. BEWARE. They are not cheaper, at least Home Depot and Costco stand behind their products. LL is a joke. Take your money and run...

I have some of them coming up a little bit. The cost in relation to the quality was a good ratio. The only thing that could have been better is if it was made in United States or one of our allies. We ordered flooring for three rooms from Lumber Liquidators, we brought blueprints of all of the rooms to our local store and they didn’t read the measurements correctly. They sent a women out to measure the floor again to give us an estimate on installation and make sure we had enough supplies for the job and she also measured the floor incorrectly. This resulted in being six boxes of flooring short and a roll of padding. On the day of install the installers told us that our local Lumber Liquidators ordered the wrong wooden floor seam strips so we had to go back to the store.
The employee from Lumber Liquidators said “they do not know what they are talking about or doing!” They said this about the people THEY sent out to do my flooring. We were then charged for six boxes of flooring because they measured incorrectly, we should have never been charged for their mistakes... We called customer support and they said they would refund our six boxes we had to purchase that day. Weeks later and we still hadn’t received the refund. It took over five calls to simply get a refund for something we shouldn’t of been charged for in the first place.
They also didn’t have the same floor seam strips so they told us that we could pick some up at another store location that was over a half hour away... That wasn’t possible when we had the installers at the house. So we now have a different color wooden strips on our floor and they never offered to order the right ones to install later. We had a water leak that required the concrete in the kitchen to be jackhammered up and new concrete poured. They installers didn’t notice this and installed the floor on top of this without leveling this location. This caused the floor to buckle when walked on. There was also another spot where there’s was a small rock that was breaking through the floor. I had to get the corporate office involved to get my refund straightened out and to get the flooring fixed.
I explained to the lady from corporate customer service that we should have received more compensation for all of our issues but she expressed that Lumber Liquidators has already done a lot for us. All they have done was caused us issues, tried to charge us for extra things we didn’t even require such as moving appliances and a few other things, gave us the runaround for a refund for something we shouldn’t of been charged for in the first place, shorted us six boxes of flooring and a roll of padding, ordered the wrong product and said the people they sent to our house didn’t know what they where doing.
Lumber Liquidators didn’t do anything other then submit a warranty claim. When I said we deserved furthermore compensation for our problems the lady from corporate made it seem like the they were doing us a favor for getting the floor fixed with a warranty claim and stated that they also paid for an a box of flooring that was needed for the repair for issues their installers created.
I wouldn’t recommend Lumber Liquidators to my worst enemy. It is extremely rude that they are telling customers that their third-party installers don’t know what they are doing. That makes that company look bad when in reality lumber liquidators just needed to point the finger of blame to someone else when it was them who ordered the wrong items. That employees of the install company make a living off of installs and Lumber Liquidators is bashing their name to its own customers.... We have a whole house that needs new flooring and we will definitely not be contacting Lumber Liquidators for any other work.

I am livid with the Southeast region. I ordered floors out of the Kennesaw GA store and scheduled installation. They screwed up their schedule and when their crew arrived, they left within the first 30 minutes because they weren't aware I was having tile laid down. I also had other contractors working in a different room than the floors were going to start being laid down. They claimed that it was my fault they were leaving because we had other contractors present. In their pre-installation forms it says nothing about not having other contractors working at the house. We complained and they worked with us and then made accommodations to come out the following day. I then got a call saying they weren't going to do the installation anymore and they think we should go separate ways.
Some guy named Scott ** got upset because we asked for a small rebate for compensation for them screwing up. Instead of talking it through with us, he canceled our appointment without even reaching out. I already paid this company $12k and all I want is my floors installed. I've never seen a business operate so poorly. It's not like I have a balance left over, I've paid IN FULL, and they are refusing to deliver on what I've paid for. I've done sales for years and sales management and the move Scott made, would not be acceptable anywhere I've ever worked. The customer is supposed to be first especially when they've paid and have been a repeat customer. They are the ones that didn't meet the schedule, not us, and they keep on disappointing. They have lawsuits against them for shady business practices which I wasn't aware of. If you're buying floors from these guys BEWARE.

We bought engineered hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators in-store. I got an installer from Lumber Liquidators, which was also recommended by them. So, I asked them to install my flooring. And then, unfortunately, they just started it, and up to now, it’s not done yet. I told them that I will have a visitor coming. The material is already in, but it took them a while and up to now, I don’t have any word from them yet.
I've been waiting for more than two weeks now. The project is probably taking almost two months. So, I have to call corporate to tell them what’s going on. I’m not gonna pay that much for that embarrassment from my visitors. In short, it’s not a good experience. If they commit something, they should do it. And if they cannot, they should say, “Hey, you know what, we cannot do this.” That’s why I want a compensation with this delay and embarrassment I got from my friends and family.
There are a few steps from the stairs that is still bare, and the ballast is not even put in yet. There are small kids running in the house. We have to tell them, “Oh, do not climb the stairs because it’s dangerous, okay?” Lumber Liquidators gave me the installation company. It’s directly connected to them. I just spoke with the Lumber Liquidators officer in that particular store. And then they gave me the number to call corporate because I was very disappointed.

I was trying to match up some wood that I already had and was having a hard time finding a match. I didn't know what to do and I was headed to one of the hardware stores, Home Depot. My original flooring came from one of the outlets out of Dalton. I couldn't find that match anywhere. It sold out. I was looking to find who could help me find the wide oak floors which were difficult to find in this region because that type of oak generally comes from certain parts of Tennessee. Red oak was way more available or accessible. I went to Lumber Liquidators and had a good experience with them.
I really received an education as to what to look for and why. Their people were very knowledgeable. They pointed me in the right direction and even let me know the kind of shade for the flooring. They paid attention to the type of knots and told me a lot about the age of the wood. They even helped me to see how I could be economical with the flooring and save some money with regards to what I was selecting - you could pick the mid-grade to top grade and so forth. The flooring wasn't cheap but they were reasonable and it was quality. They were willing to work with us and made it very easy to make a smooth transition with my existing floor. I was very happy with them.
I hired a contractor for the installation. They were people that I knew. They worked for me before and I was confident that they would do a good job. And they did. The flooring was almost a flawless match. I learned things about wood aging and changing with the lighting and time. The flooring darkened some as time went on which is nice because it started to match the other existing floors.

About the beginning of February my daughter and I visited Lumber Liquidators to purchase flooring. We were both remodeling our homes. Thinking we might receive a better price for quantity. In doing so we purchased approximately 6K dollars worth of flooring, I already had the 10% overage in my numbers but it was added again. This is not what hacks me, I returned today to return 8 boxes out of 60 that were left over and to now purchase all trim now needed to complete the job. This would have been more money in trim than the floor I was returning. All boxes were mint condition, but seems there is a 90 day return policy. I left and bought trim from Lowe’s. Whoever heard of a contractor finishing in 90 days. l loved the floor and how it turned out, but from now on, I will have that taste in my mouth. Never, Never Again. If anyone wants to know how I feel, just ask me???

Purchased LVT product to replace vinyl tile & carpet ruined by water damage in a child care center. The LVT looks great & is very low maintenance! The install was scheduled for 2 weekends just after Christmas & New Years when child attendance was very low (fewer than 25 children). Unfortunately, the vinyl cove base to complete the job didn't match, so the install crew couldn't complete the job. Through numerous phone calls between the store manager (my only contact) & myself, new cove base was ordered in late January 2019.
TWO months later & after numerous phone calls, the cove base was installed March 23, 2019, but the 2 areas where the LVT bubbled up were not replaced, as was scheduled for the same time by the crew. Throughout this process, I was in written communication with Lumber Liquidators credit personnel regarding why I had not paid the $5000 financed portion of the job. In my last written communication, I stated I was waiting until job completion to pay...although I had initially paid $31,719.83. Lumber Liquidators sent an employee to the child care center; the Director was asked to sign the job was completed. When I next contacted (in writing) Lumber Liquidators, they forwarded the slip signed by my employee. Thereafter daily credit phone calls began.
Additionally, on 5/21/19 although partial payment was scheduled & a commitment to pay 100% of balance ASAP, despite the incomplete repair job, I received a very threatening email. The threats included ruining both my personal credit rating & taking actions to ruin the company's credit rating. It is very hard to accurately rate the overall experience: Lumber Liquidators sales staff were great, installation crew was professional & on time...problems occurred with "special order" vinyl cove base taking so long (2 months), and replacing post installation problems.

I got an engineered hardwood floor from Lumber Liquidators in Santa Monica. However, I’m not very happy about the quality. If I spill water a little bit or like the weather is a little bit wet, the connection of the two pieces of the hardwood floor have buckle up. So now, there is a lot of buckle bumps on the floor. I hired one contractor to install, so they’re kind of like professional. But they told me though the quality of this one is not really good.
Some months ago, I order one of them because one of my guests spilled water on the floor. It caused a lot of buckle bumps and it was a big one. So, it is easy to see. If you don’t clean right away, like one hour or two hour, it’s gonna be like really bad quality. And even after, because if you remember like two months ago, it’s already wet winter, so the inside the house is pretty wet. That is why there are all the small buckle ups. After that, I called them. Maybe one week or two weeks it’s gonna be gone, but it will not. They’re still there. We tried, too, to turn on the AC and also the heater, but it’s still the same. Nothing has changed. Maybe Home Depot is better.

Lumber Liquidators gave me very good service. I enjoyed their products and I’m gonna purchase some more. My neighbor purchased his flooring first and I liked it so much so I bought the exact same product that they bought. I got a hardwood floor and it’s got a rustic look to it. I’ve installed it in one of my rooms and I’m gonna do two more bedrooms. The sales reps couldn’t help me right away, and it wasn’t because they were being rude or anything. It was just that there was a lot of other customers there that were ahead of me. But they were professional.

As a member of the now Class Action Lawsuit against Lumber Liquidators, I did want to be on record to say that my Morning Star Bamboo flooring (MS Strand Bamboo) is also cupping, and splitting along the edges a mere 2 or 3 months after installation. This product, while beautiful, is most certainly faulty. I had it installed by contracted flooring specialist, and it began to show problems along the edges of each plank probably 8 weeks after the installation. The installers were some of the highest rated on Yelp, and did a great job initially, so I am sure it is the product at fault here, not the installation. I will say that the service team at Lumber Liquidators were very nice and professional, and as sales folks I don't think they did anything wrong per se. They just sold what they thought was a good product, but it simply isn't. It is really a shame, because the flooring when it was day 1 old, was simply stunning. All downhill from there however.

My wife found the exact type of wood floor she wanted at Lumber Liquidators. It looked just like the 7.5-inch wood plank that she liked. So, we walked in and she’d seen the option they had for a 7.5-inch engineered wood for concrete floor, and I couldn’t get her to change her mind. Lumber Liquidators did a good job. They took care of us and they communicated. The two guys that I dealt with were both knowledgeable and helpful. Also, the quality of the flooring has been great. We love it.
However, I was blown away by the price of the glue. And it had nothing to do with Lumber Liquidators. I couldn’t believe that they would charge $200. Theirs was a little higher than most, but they were as high everywhere. It’s a little eye opening there when they say you gotta have 10 tubs of a $150 of each tub and like four gallons up. It was crazy how much a set of glue to put in. Engineered wood flooring is a little bit different. They allow you to have a floating system or you can glue it down. If you have a good, flat surface, it works well. Everything else was fine just like they told me, and we’re still happy. There’s no reason why I wouldn’t recommend Lumber Liquidators.

I bought some bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators and it went fabulous. My wife and I went in there with a few different options that we were looking at. The salesperson helped us pick out what they thought would best suit our needs. As it turned out, the salesman had the same product as what we ended up picking. He said he had dogs, and we have dogs, so we were concerned about what the dogs’ impact would be on the finish of the flooring and we got a first-hand opinion on that. That was helpful.
I installed the flooring myself and it kicked my butt. I spent a couple of weeks working on it. I was working in a space that still had furniture in it. We did our dining room and living area and I had to work through and move everything, and virtually did it all by myself. We get all kinds of compliments on the flooring. I purchased bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators at Lake City and the sales reps there explained everything and helped with the decision making. They hired people to do the installation, which I wasn't pleased with. The installers messed up a lot and didn't do a very good job. There were a lot of spots on the floor that they chipped while moving furniture around. They were supposed to come back and seal them, and they never did. I ended up getting other people to do it. Also, the bamboo floor naturally has a lot of darker blackish marks on it, but there were two boxes of wood that had little to no black marks on them. It almost looks like it's a whole separate floor and random patches of the living room where they put it. It might have been nice if they mixed it up a little and not do all that wood in one or two patches where it looks like a different floor. I wouldn't recommend the installation team but the store did everything correctly.

I bought some bamboo flooring from the Lumber Liquidators store in Merrillville, Indiana for our bathroom. I was asking one of the male sales representatives some questions about a vent that one can have made to fit and he seemed impatient with me. He answered, "Well, you can only have this. And it takes this long." He seemed not very friendly about it even though I told him, "I'm a lay person. I don't understand. Can you explain to me why or how come it's $135?" He seemed frustrated with my questioning and he was rude to me. It was uncomfortable and I almost wanted to not buy the stuff. When I left the store, I apologized to him because I felt maybe I was being difficult. But then I thought back on it and I did not think that was really the case. To feel like I needed to apologize was odd for me. But he might have sort of apologized also after I apologized. I would have liked it if he had had more patience with me at the time.
When I went back, I purposely avoided the guy I met the first time and I went to someone else. And definitely, it was a much better experience. When I went to pick up the flooring, the guys who helped me were very nice, friendly, and easy-going. Then, the construction guy who was redoing my bathroom put the flooring in and I love the floor. If it was a lot less expensive or if I could afford it, I’d put it in my whole house. It was a very high quality bamboo and it looked good.

I went to LL because I was looking to have hardwood floors installed at a lower price than quoted by other companies. I picked a product that was $2.50 sq less than that product quoted by the other companies. With the risers and stair treads being cheaper also I thought I would be saving money on this project. That was not the case.
After paying for an home visit and measurement, which is free with all other companies, I find that LL has enormous charges for labor and delivery which far offset the savings in material. The delivery charge was outrageous > $300.00. I was told the flooring had to go to the 2nd floor for curing because of the "temperature difference". Since my house is my house is air conditioned that was ridiculous but I was being charged for the 2nd story storage. All of the labor and sundry charges put this job over the top and there was no savings in buying flooring at a reduced rate. I see this company as a bait and switch. A DIYer can buy flooring cheaper elsewhere and there are quality installers who charge less than LL.

We went to the Lumber Liquidators in Windsor Ontario. The installer (one person) showed up two days after he was suppose to and without the proper tools to do the job. He took 5 days to install in a 12x24 room. The floor was not installed properly. The floor is uneven, nails are coming back up through the flooring and in other places the floor boards are splitting.
After a lot of phone calls and emails they sent someone out, who cut some of the boards out and removed the underlay to glue the boards in place. We paid for the best underlay that they offered for sound reduction. The problems are continuing and we are finding more splits and nails and uneven flooring. Took a while because it's in out of the way places close to walls and not in walking areas. We have been in contact with the local store and head office. We have sent pictures of the problems because they won't come and look for themselves. We are still not receiving any help or correspondence. The best the local company offered was, "We might be able to come assess the situation in maybe two to three weeks".

After much ado I was finally contacted the following week and told my flooring was in stock. I swung by and picked it up. Because of scheduling the project was now a week behind and wouldn't be started for at least another week.
I just finished installing the flooring yesterday and before I even got to the end I realized I didn't have enough flooring. This is unacceptable. I had originally calculated it on their site and it said 14 boxes were needed. In store the salesman was adamant that it was only going to take 12. We purchased engineered bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators in Barrie Ontario in March and it was delivered in October. After a few weeks of acclimating the floor to the new house the floor was installed by one of Lumber Liquidators' installers (we hired him directly). Shortly after moving into our custom built new home at the end of November, the floor started to make crackling sounds when walked on. Lumber liquidators warranty department sent out an inspector who blamed the issue on “tight baseboards”.
When we tried to explain to Lumber Liquidators that our baseboards were installed raised and the floor was then installed with space to expand and the chair mold was laid just above the floor to cover the gap. Their response was to tell us to seek legal counsel and that they stood by the inspector's report. Ironically the inspector never asked or checked on how the baseboards were installed he just looked at them. So now we face an expensive lawsuit, or just have to replace the 2500 square feet of bamboo flooring in our brand new house. NEVER NEVER buy flooring from Lumber Liquidators!

I even had my kids help me with it because the new snap and stuff is so plug and play. The key was to have the flooring seasoned for a full two weeks at my house before it went in. However, the underlayment sold to me has a cellophane liner, and the cellophane has a zip-strip where you are able to line up the various rolls of the underlayment. That cellophane crackles under foot and it makes for a loud floor. It's been six months now since I put it in, and it's still crackling. Still, so far, so good. I bought two floors from Lumber Liquidators. The saleslady was just fine, but I don’t like their policy of paying 100% upfront. I bought Brazilian cherry for my bedroom and den. It was a lot of money and Lumber Liquidators wanted every cent upfront, and I just said, “No.” I would like 50% upfront, and then 50% when the job’s done and satisfied. And then, I bought Brazilian cherry, bamboo for downstairs, and I had somebody else install it for the same reason. But the prices were good. Also, the service at the store was good and the manager of the store here in Cambridge was very good.

Buyer beware!!! I paid the $25.00 to have a LL installer evaluate my project in house. On the day of installation, the LL installer determined that the quote provided was not what would cost to install the flooring: originally the estimator had said that the flooring could be installed over the existing laminate flooring. After living with 39 cases of flooring for over a week and having cleared my entire living space, I was in no position NOT to pay the additional $700.00 demanded to begin the project. (Please note, when I received my credit card bill, I noted that I was charged $750.00!) The installer said that he would reschedule the job. I was in no position to have someone else remove the approximately 300 sf of laminate now required on the morning of finally getting this project or pay what he demanded. I had no choice but to pay the additional costs.
After speaking to someone at LL, I was informed that the actual cost of removing the existing laminate was ACTUALLY $1400.00 but that they would give me a "break" and ONLY charge me $700.00!!! The installer completed the job, was friendly, and did a pretty good job although when they left on the second day when the flooring was completed, they left without any attempt at any cleanup. Also, the estimator also ordered 4 cases of flooring and 20 pieces of quarter round and 2 pieces of bases board which were not needed and I was required to return to the store. The store manager refunded the overage of supplies but I had to bring to their attention that I had paid for installation and that also should be refunded for the materials returned.
The store manager acted as if this was the first time anyone had made this request and had to get permission from the regional manager to approve such a refund. It took numerous phone calls to obtain the refund for the labor and NUMEROUS phone calls to LL about the bait and trap situation about the laminate removal. On the morning of finally getting this project started, I was told that the installer charged $400.00 "dump fee" to discard less than 100 lbs of cheap laminate flooring and they refunded me only $349.00 of the disputed $750.00. I will NEVER use Lumber Liquidators again when I sell this house and purchase my next house.

I went to multiple places and they weren't very interested in dealing with prefinished hickory hardwood flooring. The first time when I went to price it out, the sales reps were very unknowledgeable. But on the second time, the Lumber Liquidators sales reps were wonderful and top-notch. The flooring has fantastic quality and the cost was very reasonable for the quality. I did the installation myself and it was easy to do as with all other ¾ inch type of grade of hardwood flooring. So, that was pretty good.

We were building a new living space so we needed new floors and decided to go with Lumber Liquidators. I already bought some used bamboo floors. I needed a little extra so I went back to Lumber Liquidators to match what I bought and the rep was really helpful. A really cool guy. Working with the material was really easy. Our flooring works and we’re happy with it.

We didn't know what we wanted when we first went in, but the Lumber Liquidators sales reps explained the products. It was great. We got hardwood flooring and it has very nice quality. They had a couple of boxes that weren’t in the greatest shape, but they were happy to take it back and gave us a credit. I was really happy with my whole experience.

Initially customer service was great. We started installing the floor ourselves and the seams were not going together and then they wouldn’t stay together. After many hours of trying to find out what we were doing wrong, my husband who is very experienced with home improvement projects, realized that a notch in the corner of flooring had a piece of material that when it was cut at the manufacturer it was not cut out entirely. We have had to take every piece of wood (826 square feet) and cut the notch out by hand. I called Lumber Liquidators and after being transferred many times and being hold for a long time, my call was sent to someone’s voicemail and I left a message and have not received a return phone call. We are very disappointed and had high expectations for this product.

My purchasing experience with Lumber Liquidators was great. It was my second time purchasing from them and I like the price and the product they were offering. I got some hardwood flooring for the bedrooms and the quality is good. I installed them and it was pretty simple. It’s one of those Lego things that you put together. However, they should open up more locations, because there are not that many of them that are pretty close, so I have to drive a long way to get to them.

Our old floors were a little worn out so I wanted to update. I liked the advertising and the price of Lumber Liquidators. I bought wood floor products from them and I’m very satisfied with the product. It’s holding up very well. My son did the installation and I was surprised at how tight they locked in together when we interlocked them. Everyone from Lumber Liquidators was also very good, very professional, even the guys that loaded up the truck.

Lumber Liquidators was next to where I shop, so I just went across the street and purchased from there. I ordered wood planks for flooring and I was happy with the experience. Everybody was nice to me. They fulfilled my order and everything was on-time. I picked it up, they loaded my car and that was it. I installed the planks myself and they were snap-in so it was easy.

Lumber Liquidators had a discount and there was a sale going on. We went in and we were able to match up what we currently had. We purchased some hardwood for the floor and the sales agent who helped us was fine. We had somebody else do the installation and the overall quality seems fine. The cost is good too.

I bought a new home and we redid the floors. I went to the Lumber Liquidators in Boardman, I walked around, found the floor that I wanted and then I bought it. I love the flooring. It’s great. I ended up buying the same floor for my parents’ house and put it in over there. I wouldn't send others to the Boardman store. They didn’t help when we went there and then they didn’t have the floor there and so it had to be picked up in Canton. And it was a huge inconvenience. I’d send them to Canton. They were much friendlier.

Some of the hardwood in our kitchen were damaged because of a water leak from the fridge and we eventually had to rip those out. We did some research and compared Lumber Liquidators to other stores and places that sell hardwood. They are competitive and they have a good quality product. In the end, we went to a total of two Lumber Liquidator stores just because the first time I went with my wife, we went to a store that was closer to our house. Then the second time, we went to a store that was closer to my work and it was a more convenient place to pick up.
The first time I was in the Waterbury store, there were already customers there and we were told that somebody would come and help us in a few minutes. One person was obviously a little bit better than the other but that is how the nature of these things work. Still, both people in the 2 stores were attentive, came over and asked us what we were interested in, and showed us the different options that they had. We bought some Gunstock Oak hardwood and it was our first time to purchase from them. They said it was what worked best for our budget so that part was good. And obviously, as with everything else, I wish it was a little bit cheaper but it wasn’t so prohibitive that we couldn’t get it done.
I have a handyman who installed and replaced the kitchen flooring. The new flooring is a little bit different in color, slightly minimally different than all the hardwood we had. It's good quality hardwood and unless you're looking at it really carefully, you can't tell the difference when you walk in the house. So, we had a positive enough experience that my parents who live in North Carolina are also thinking about installing hardwood and we recommended looking at Lumber Liquidators.

I went to the Lumber Liquidators location, talked to one of the clerks and it went very good. I got Brazilian cherry wood that’s supposed to be changing color and it was done 95%. 5%, a couple lines did not change. But everything else was okay and I would recommend Lumber Liquidators.
