We have purchased new ceramic tile floors from Lumber Liquidators and had them delivered 10 days ago. The first issue we had was that when we got the call that the delivery was going to be made, we found out they would charge an additional $40 to actually bring it up the stairs into our house (5 stairs). If we were only 3 stairs there would be no issue. So, being we have already spent over $9k to have our hardwood floors removed, pay for the actual flooring and the installation we were annoyed and just decided to move them into the house ourselves.
One man brought the delivery and it was really a 4 man job (he was very nice and we helped as much as we could while he was there... And then we carried all the flooring up to our front porch where it now sits). But, no point in worrying as the delivery had been done so no need to linger on it. Next, we were to receive an installation call within 48 hours. It has now been 9 days. I have called the installation hotline twice and they left messages with the install company. Also, I called our actual local Liquidator shop (Lynchburg, VA) who said they would “send an email”.
Still nothing. $9k and now I am worried we made a horrible mistake. We are pretty accommodating people and have no problem being flexible on installation dates but are just sitting here. Waiting. It’s very frustrating. So, now I am trying to figure out next steps with regarding to finding another company to actually finish the job. I never post reviews about things like this but this involves 9 THOUSAND DOLLARS THAT WE WORKED HARD TO SAVE.

I’ve been at Lumber Liquidators before and recently, I got wood flooring from them. I wanted to put a new floor as part of a renovation in a rental property and the one I got matched the stair tread that I was using. Lumber Liquidators is run pretty well and the sales reps I got did a good job. They were knowledgeable and they helped me get what I needed. Then I had coworkers help me put the flooring down and it installed easily. So far, the quality of the flooring is good and hopefully, it'll last.

I’d recommend Lumber Liquidators. I dealt with them once before and had a good experience, so we went back. And what was funny was we picked out the very same flooring that, about six years ago, we had put up in the second floor of our house. We didn’t do it on purpose. So, when we got it out of the box, we could see it was the same stuff.
The Lumber Liquidators reps were really helpful. We ended up with a situation where I ended up having to fire my contractor, and they jumped through all kinds of hoops to make sure that they were able to round up enough stuff out of the same run. They even had to have some shipped in from Amarillo. So, I was really pleased with the experience we had with those guys. We ended up doing the installation ourselves and because it started out as a glue-down flooring, it wasn’t all that difficult to put down.

I purchased engineered wood floors from Lumber Liquidators. Their reps were very helpful. They were guiding me and giving me ideas. However, I wish I chose a different flooring. I wish what I got could have been a little firmer and a little different. It's definitely too soft.

We purchased hardwood for the first floor of our home and we’re quite pleased with it. We decided to go with Lumber Liquidator for two things – the wide selection and the very good pricing. We actually got a good deal, better than fair, and the cost was right in line with the quality. We also found the sales reps to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I’m located in Southeastern, PA, but when the representative looked online, he found that he didn’t have enough in stock for me. Then he suggested that if I go to Delaware, I could save the taxes, which was true, and it’s only about a 30-mile drive to get down there. I went to the store in Delaware to pick the order up and brought it home. Then my contractor installed it without any issue. Everything went on fine.

I recently purchased some hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators. My interaction with the rep was fine. I installed it myself and it wasn’t too difficult. My experience with them was fine but the quality of the flooring wasn’t that good.

I bought stuff from Lumber Liquidators several years ago. This time, I purchased wood flooring and used it as a countertop on top of our dressers. The sales rep was good and very helpful. We were focusing on a color and there were different selections, and he kind of helped with what to get. Also, I had to order the product and he stayed on top of it. He let me know when the material was coming in, so it all worked out good. The product was very easy to work with too. It's hardwood and it's nice. I also got a good deal on it, so it was a good price for the quality.

We had a great experience with Lumber Liquidators. We did some work on our floors and Shawn at the store was so helpful. We were undecided between hardwood or laminate. We have kids that can mess up the floors so we wanted something that can last. Shawn was great in helping us find the right product. He even used a big hammer and tried to knock down the bamboo flooring. There was no dent so we definitely knew exactly what kind of product we wanted after that. Shawn also told us to think about it and go back to the store since there was going to be a sale - we happened to be there a couple of weeks earlier than the sale. He was not sure if the product was going to be there during the sale, but he was absolutely great in informing us as a consumer what product to buy and how to save cost so we really appreciated that.
We hired a contractor to put the flooring in and they did the house which is around 1,100 square footage. That was the estimated which was 10% more. We didn't end up using everything that we bought but a great thing about Lumber Liquidators was they took back what we didn't use or did not open. We were so happy. The flooring is great. I heard from the contractor that it was easy to install. There was no expansion so there were no gaps. It looks really nice. Everyone who came over afterwards loved it.

Lumber Liquidators is a small store and I had a good experience with them. I purchased hardwood flooring last year. They were well-priced and were usable. The quality was good too. Their staff were very professional, knowledgeable of the product that they were selling and they were quite accommodating. We did the installation of the flooring ourselves and it was very easy. You just lay it down and when you have the proper equipment, you're good. If I need more flooring, I would go back to Lumber Liquidators.

We purchased the Pioneer Leather Hickory in October 2018, picked it up at the store and transported to our house for it to set until the humidity level was correct. We then had it installed at the end of October. We have noticed that a section of the flooring is coming up and creating a uplifted crease. We contacted Lumber Liquidators in Virginia Beach, VA where the flooring was purchased. They sent a rep down to look at the floor and we haven't heard back from them.
We have placed multiple calls regarding getting the floor fixed and now we are hearing it is our fault due to humidity in the house (there is none) and they told us to get a dehumidifier. Well how is that going to solve the problem of a bad install? We love the floor! But this company is ridiculously telling us the bad install is our problem. I am fed up!!! We paid almost $8000 for the floor only to have to pay more money and have someone else fix it probably nulling the warranty!!! I am beyond frustrated and Pissed off!
So after the rep came to look at the floor the contractor who installed the flooring called Agnes. This is how the humidity conversion came into play. Without seeing the floor he said because we have a crawl space, the humidity from there is what's causing the floor to come up. This coming from the same contractor who sent his best crew for the install. The best crew turned out to be one man! Then the next day he brought a buddy to help him and this is the day our finishing nailer went missing. My husband said to forget it, that we would never see that nailer again, but enough is enough with these people. Again still waiting for Lumber Liquidators to do something!

Lumber Liquidators is one of the closest wholesale companies to where we live. There were two different purchases that I did with them. I got hardwood bamboo laminate floor, and their reps were very helpful, and they made sure that I made sure to get enough of the product that I needed to finish the job. So, they did what they were supposed to. We love the quality of our flooring. My experience with Lumber Liquidators was very quick and easy for the most part. They were reasonably priced, and the representatives there seemed to know what they were talking about for the installation. They were also very helpful with any other questions I had to ask.

I am sitting here writing this review 6 weeks after I picked up the flooring from the local store. And still it has not been installed!!! The "so called" professional installer came to my house and did the estimate. I thought it was a little on the high side, but I was booked solid every weekend and just didn't have the time to do it myself. So we set an install date. He called and cancelled the day before... Said he had another job to do and may not be able to get it done that day... So we set it up for the next week. My wife stayed home all day waiting... No installer... No call. I left him a voicemail. He did call me back late that afternoon. His excuse???... He forgot!!! Real pro here! So now, he shows up for the 3rd appointment. He rips up 3 places in my kitchen (about 1-2 hours) and calls me up and says he isn't allowed by law to finish the job. Really???
My house was built in the 1950s and had the 9 X 9 asbestos tiles in the kitchen. The installer told me that I had to get an abatement done and then I could call him back. I asked him for any advice... Who could I get? How does this work? He said he didn't know and couldn't help me. And he just left the mess and got in his truck and left!!! So I worked on it yesterday and it took me 5 hours to fix the mess that this professional installer made. Basically, just had to set the saw on 1/4 inch and cut out the vinyl flooring that had been installed on top...then had to cut out and put in new sub flooring and feather edge everything. Laid about half of the flooring in... I will probably get time to finish it next week I hope.
The local Lumber Liquidators store was good. They refunded the installation cost. I still am out the cost of a 12 inch carbide tip saw blade...a bucket of Flash compound and Luan (about 150 bucks) to fix the mess that he left. I just can't understand how a national company like this can let this kind of stuff happen??? In my case, I am lucky that I have family who are contracting and I work in the construction industry as well. I would never want to treat any customer like this.Really disappointed with Lumber Liquidators at this point... Sure it is going to cost me extra money to get it done. My main complaint was the extra time and labor (My Labor!!!). So as of right now, I will spread the word to stay away from this company. I have learned my lesson.

I remodel homes for a living. I flip houses and it’s mine when I do it but then, I sell it. I usually go to the Lumber Liquidators when I buy. There’s one near my home so I just walk in and tell them what I need. They could improve on the ramp in their 58th Avenue store. When we’re loading up. there’s a ramp there that you go up that’s not friendly at all. It’s narrow and it’s just not right especially in the winter time when it’s snowy. Other than that, I’ve never had a problem with them. I bought hardwood flooring and some tools from them six months ago and it was a fine experience.

Product was purchased in Arden NC. Store employees were helpful and we found what we needed 3/4 x 5 Bellawood. Product was delivered in a timely manner and was just what we had asked for. We also paid Lumber Liquidators to have an estimator come to the house and review what was needed for the job. His job was to source how much product and how it would be installed for the job, he also is reasonable for all transition pieces and base molding. He arrived 1/2 late, we discussed how we wanted the job done and he said that would be fine. He took the measurements and left.
THE INSTALL: Lumber Liquidators makes you pay for the install when you purchase the product before the job is even started. (Just an FYI) I have never heard of this but it is their policy. They also must not have their own installers as it was a different company that contacted me after the install was complete. The installers showed up and right off stated the floor could not be installed as the estimator had said. After 45 min of phone calls to their boss the work began.
Now is where the fun started. Our home had just been freshly painted both trim and walls, all baseboard had been removed and all furniture was moved to the garage. They had a clean open slate to work with. First problem we had was they wanted to put quarter round on all walls. I said no that is why we purchased all new baseboard. I tried to watch the job as it continued but I did not wish to get in the way either. What I saw was installers working very hard but you could also tell they were careless. They would take full boxes of flooring and carry them to an area and just drop them I did not like this at all. They also did damage to the home in many areas as I had listed below.
Handprints and grease on walls, doors and refrigerator. Corners of walls damaged from air hoses or cords? Fresh painted home with gouges in the walls and trim. Baseboard not installed vertical with the wall trim. Baseboard cuts were poor and do not match up. Caulking left on areas of the floor and our newly painted walls. Sawdust all over our furniture stored in the garage (saw was set outside the garage). Large amount of baseboard needed for the job left over, must return
I communicated this with pictures to the follow up person from the install company and the response was they would talk to the install group. I also communicated this to the manager of the store we purchased the wood from. He thanked me for the information and said he would talk with the installers. My wife and I spent the following weekend repainting walls and trim, spackling and repainting walls that had gouges in them, cleaning calking from the floor and areas on the wall and lastly vacuuming and wiping down all of furniture we so kindly moved out of the way for the install.
Oh also left out cleaning the garage from all the sawdust that did not make it onto the furniture. I did receive a call some days later stating they would send out a cleaning crew for the furniture. I declined as it was already done. I also could call and request to have them out to correct the baseboard problems, Not sure if they would but I think I will fix it myself. In closing if you do use the installers you do have a 1 year warranty on the install. Expect nothing more than average to below average work and also expect damage to your home with little to no recourse.

Lumber Liquidators has a good selection and a good price. I bought stuff from them on two different occasions and I never had any trouble at all. I installed the flooring myself too. I sell RVs for a living. We put the flooring in the RVs. That's the reason I've bought from Lumber Liquidators a couple of times. For one of the purchase though, we put the flooring in a house and that turned out fine. That looked good.

We got engineered hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators, and it is really easy to scratch. It’s gonna take a really special cloth for cleaning. A big dog would scratch it quickly. Other than that, Lumber Liquidators was quick and really easy to work with. I talked to a few different people there, and they were really friendly. They talked me through the different types of materials for engineered hardwood floors, what would be the best for my project and what I was looking for. And then they were able to get the products in a little faster without too much of an extra charge.

Lumber Liquidators sells their own brand of stuff which is very well reviewed. I got bamboo flooring from them, and their sales reps knew what they were talking about and they helped me with any questions that I had. I'm doing the self-install and once you get used to it, it's not difficult. I had some initial learning curve and we made some mistakes from our install. But over the long run, those are correctable and I have more to install, and it will be done better and correctly the next time. I watched YouTube videos throughout the install, and then I had questions about how I was supposed to handle stuff, and they would recommend a gap. I used the stuff that they told me I should use, and it ended up being almost too much, but then the flooring have had dried out a little more because we didn’t have it properly acclimated.
I'm pretty happy with the quality of the flooring. The product is pretty straightforward. You get what you pay for, and there wasn’t any problem. If I didn’t like the product, I could just go back to them and they would give me any more products that I demand. If I have some messed up boxes, I'm pretty confident that they would take care of me in that regard.

My husband and I made 2 trips to State college store to purchase over 1500 square feet of flooring. We paid $25 to have an installer come to our home to measure exactly and what was needed to install vinyl plank flooring. We were told that we would be contacted within 48 hours. Three days later we still didn't hear anything from the installer. My husband called store to let the service person know that we didn't hear from installer. He said he would take care of it. After 5 days still no contact from installer nor service person. My husband called again the next day and requested his $25 back. The female service person said it would be refunded...it was. We have still not heard anything from the service person at the State college store. They lost a possible $7500 order. If this is how they run their business we will NOT go shopping nor referring Lumber Liquidators to any of our family or friends. Very disappointed!

Our house was from 1994. We just bought it, and we had to lay new hardwoods in the kitchen and patch in a few spots into the existing hardwoods. And Lumber Liquidators had the best price. Everyone there is fantastic, too. I already knew what I was looking for and they said they’d get it ordered for me. Our flooring is of good quality. I installed myself and it was easy. I got the lower quality wood because it was cheaper, and there were some imperfections on it. But that was to be expected with the level that I bought. It was advertised that there are small open notch. There was a handful of pieces I had tossed out due to just being really big holes in them or termite damage. But all in all, I felt like it was still a good value.

We previously did our kitchen floor with Lumber Liquidators and we just purchased another flooring for a kitchen in another home. We shopped around and looked at the local hardware stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot, but we went with Lumber Liquidators mainly because of the availability of the pattern or color that we wanted. The sales representatives were straightforward too. They showed us the selections that they had of what the type of product and the color range that we were looking in.
We got engineered hardwood and engineered vinyl then we did self-install. It was very simple working with the products. Also, the flooring has been holding up well so far. The cost is also a good value, slightly less than some of the hardware stores that we looked at, but I see the difference in the quality as far as the mil thickness. Some of the other more expensive product were definitely a higher end product, but I didn’t think that our project required that level. All in all, my experiences with Lumber Liquidator have always been great and I would recommend them.

My son had gotten flooring at Lumber Liquidators before and he was happy with them, so I went with them. The sales guys were very helpful in picking out my flooring and I got bamboo plank flooring. They called me when it was in, they loaded my truck, and I picked it up. I had some returns and they unloaded the returns for me. They did what they said they were gonna do. My brother who has been a carpenter his whole life was gonna install it and he has installed lots of wood flooring but he really struggled. They sold us this adhesive and they said it was the best adhesive. And that’s the way to go on concrete because the adhesive becomes a vapor barrier when it dries. My brother had a horrible time putting the flooring down. He said he would never do it on concrete again. He hated the adhesive but I think that’s because it’s adhesive on concrete. As he was putting the flooring in, it didn’t stay put. He had a rough time with that.
I love the plank flooring. They told me that bamboo is better because it is better with water and it is good with water, like in the kitchen. They also warned me that it scratches more easily and it does scratch easily. It’s a little more easily than I realized. So, I have to be careful. Also, the edges where the two boards come together is not completely flat. They kind of popped up a little. It’s weird because the front half of the room, fortunately, didn’t buckle. I’m glad because it's not buckled when you walked in the door and you have the big open living room-dining room-kitchen but the bedrooms and the hallway are buckled. Other than those, I would recommend Lumber Liquidators because they were helpful. I had a good experience actually dealing with them.

First off, I want to state quite openly that the narrative below does not reflect poorly toward our local (Harrisburg PA) Lumber Liquidators store or their merchandise. We had purchased and already installed the same material in two other rooms in our home and our experience with the store has always been excellent; as well as the quality of the flooring we purchased. This also is NOT a negative review of the local subcontractor used by our store to install the flooring.
This narrative is centered around poor Corporate policies regarding the 'Professional Installation' offered by each store. Corporate policies have our store and 4 others handled by a single Subcontractor, who, by the way, ultimately did install our flooring after he recovered from being out sick with a fairly major illness. We visited the store in late November to purchase enough flooring to complete our house, about another 800 sq feet. We had asked for installation services because our schedules had become far too complicated to do it ourselves.
Originally, we suggested waiting until after January 1, however, the store informed us that they were scheduled far out into Late February or Early March. However, we were told it could get done in the next few weeks, before Christmas. We were given a tentative date between December 8 and December 15, 2018. It took their installer a few days to come out to take measurements and he then told us that our tentative date would not be met. We received the new date of December 19-20. This was still before Christmas, so we were ok with that.
The weekend before, we spent removing carpeting and moving some large items (china, china cabinet and dining room table and a few others) to storage to better facilitate the installation, and truthfully, the dining room was needed for the 40+ boxes of flooring, and related material (quarter round, transition strips, glue, etc) that we had to pick up and transport back prior to installation to allow them to acclimate to our home. On the 19th, we received a call that the crew was down sick and we were being pushed off until the 20th. We certainly understand being ill and had no issues with a delay, especially since the installer planned to use a larger team and complete the install in a single day.
On the 20th, we were told that they were still sick and needed antibiotics before they could come back to work, but that they would still come out with enough team members to do our installation on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Saturday the 22nd came and we were called and told that the installation was going to be pushed until December 26th - the day after Christmas. We then had to scramble to change our venue for Christmas Dinner with our family, as we had nowhere to eat in our house, due to the fact that our table had been moved to storage. We phoned the store and were provided with the contact information for The Regional Sales and Service Manager Jim **. He took it upon himself to schedule a different team from 2 hours away (and who were also unfamiliar with our area) to come and do the installation on December 26.
On the 26th, we prepped for them by moving some easily moveable items out of the way and waited for their arrival. We assumed they would not get to our house until around 10 am ET considering that they were 2 hours away. After not seeing or even hearing from them, around 10:30 am we contacted their office and their office manager tried calling the team several times, but they were not answering their phone. We called the Regional Sales and Services Manager, who didn't have any other options for us. My wife then called the original installer herself to see if he would be able to do the work, and he indicated that he could so she made sure to call our local store, as well as contact the Regional Sales and Services Manager to let him know that she did his job for him and had contacted the original installer for the store to do the work.
At the end of the day, we were compensated $500 off of our total cost, of which $250 was in merchandise refunded to the store credit and the other $250 came in the form of a check from the installer. This penalized the installer for problems which were out of his control, which is totally unacceptable. They were highly professional, courteous, and did excellent work on the installation. Our key takeaways from this experience. The installer used by our store is shared by 3 other stores within roughly an hour of Harrisburg, PA - York, Lancaster, and Reading. While this may work for sales volume, it creates some havoc when trying to fit clients in, especially when there are unavoidable delays.
When an installer has to cancel or postpone for whatever reason, there does not appear to be a reliable contingency plan in place to allow for multiple installers in a given area to be able to be contacted to see if the promised dates could be met, until you contact and complain to the Regional Sales and Services Manager. Even then, all he did was find an unreliable team in a completely different geographical locale. The Store did not have any control over this, unfortunately. They had to defer to the Regional Sales and Services Manager per policy. Our store team was very professional and courteous and highly sympathetic to our plight, I cannot speak any more highly of them.
Per Corporate Policy, the installation Subcontractor was penalized for issues out of their control which is unprofessional behavior by Lumber Liquidators and is unacceptable. Any compensation back for issues arising during an installation beyond the control of the installation subcontractor should come directly from Lumber Liquidators and not from the subcontractor in an instance where a delay is unavoidable.

We got bamboo floors from Lumber Liquidators. They're wide plank bamboo and they're like 7-inch wide. The sales rep that I had was really nice. It all went south on the delivery part. There was a lot of damaged floor. Lumber Liquidators need either their own delivery people, so somebody whose trustworthy, not just Joe Blow delivering stuff. Their managers need to have more customer service training, as well.
But the quality of the flooring is nice. It looks good, there are certain spots where it’s coming apart a little bit though. And it’s not from weather or from the installation, ‘cause it was one of their installers that put it in for me. Hopefully, it will settle itself down. Also, the tongue and groove were a little big. So, when you're installing it, a lot of the pieces broke, like when you are trying to slide it together before we nailed it in. But Lumber Liquidators replaced the damaged ones.

I contacted Lumber Liquidators and they did nothing to help stating that because I didn’t have central air (temperature control) and because I use a steamer which I have used on all my hardwood and have never had an issue. This is absolutely ridiculous that a company would use central air and a steamer as their excuse for their poorly manufactured product. I will never be using this company again and would not recommend them to family or friends.

I bought a bloodwood, which is an exotic hardwood by Bellawood, from Lumber Liquidators and their best underlay pad. I’ve dealt with Christopher and he was super. I had looked shortly after we moved here, but we couldn't put out the money yet for the bloodwood, and I didn’t wanna settle for something else. So, any time it came on sale, whether it be 50 cents off a square foot or a dollar off, he would call and let me know. He gave me the estimates on how much it would cost to get the flooring and to put it in, and explained all my options with having the contractor take everything out of the room, or we could do it, and the cost difference that that would make.
Christopher was super friendly and when we would go in the store, he would always remember who I was, so that was nice. It was super easy to set up the installation schedule. Lumber Liquidators called, but we weren’t ready to do it yet, so the rep just kept checking back with me, and I set it up. And then they explained all the ins and outs.

The sales reps at Lumber Liquidators were great, super helpful, and they knew what they were talking about. I knew what I needed, and then they helped me load the hardwood flooring on my truck, so it was nice. I’m a professional carpenter and I installed the flooring myself. The only issue that I have with some of Lumber Liquidators' products is that there’s snipe on the tongue side of the flooring, which would last about two or three inches of the board. So you have a small gap in between the boards. I had a house before that I put in maple flooring and it was the same deal. That’s kind of a turnoff because dirt or water could fall down in there, and then that destroys the floor from the back side. Besides that, the quality of the flooring is great. It has a nice, hard finish, and it's easy to install.

I bought some flooring from Lumber Liquidators as I liked the product better. I could have bought something cheaper from a different location, but they had a better warranty. They talked me into buying more than what I needed, and when I tried to bring back some material, they were complaining about not taking it back since their policy is not to take it back after so many days. The problem was that I was waiting on a particular product from them to finish up what I was doing in order to know how much material I needed to return back. I couldn’t get the job finished ‘cause I was waiting on something I had ordered from them, so it wasn’t my fault. Also, back when there was a lot of rain going on, I had to put the pallets on a trailer so they wouldn't get wet. I had to wait for a time when it wasn’t raining so I could take it back. I had to negotiate with the guy at the counter about it and we got it worked out.

I've dealt with Lumber Liquidators several times, putting flooring in other houses, and I've always found them to be easy to deal with. This time, I was redoing my kitchen. I had two to get all the flooring I needed and I called ahead to see if they had exactly what I wanted. The representative said he had it in stock but when I got to the store in Encino with my contractor, whom I was paying for his time, it wasn't the item that I wanted. Their inventory management was not great because they didn't actually have it in stock. So we picked up what we could and it was a big waste of my contractor's paid time. I even called ahead twice to make sure that they had what I wanted in stock. So you can do all the right things and still, it may not be right.
Then I had to source the rest from a different location in Newhall, Santa Clarita, which was a lot more efficiently-ran. It's really store by store with Lumber Liquidators. It depends on how good the manager of one particular location is. That one experience at the Encino store was really annoying. But I would always recommend Lumber Liquidators because they have good prices and this particular deal of oak flooring can’t be beat. I got the utility grade that has knots in it. It's really the cheapest product of Lumber Liquidators but it's heavy, sturdy and beautiful. It's oak through and through.
It's super hard and durable, and it looks very authentic and lovely. It looks like it's been there forever. So it's great. It has a very rustic look. It's 3/4 oak and you have to nail it in board by board so it takes a little bit of artistry. Then you have to sand it down and stain it. I found it easy to install because I've worked with this particular flooring before. I've always liked it.

We purchased Morning Star engineered bamboo in October! It's now 2 days before 2019 and we are still waiting for the floors we have already started paying for. We financed for 24 months interest free and now they say it could be another month. Originally it was sometime in Dec, then late Dec/early Jan, then Jan 19th, now sometime within the next 30 days. They explained in the store we could install this ourselves and that it needed to be glued. The more I read, the more concerned I am about the quality of the floors, bucking, spacing, etc.
I keep explaining that we have to take off work, remove existing hardwood and carpet and prep for the arrival but I cannot for the life of me get a firm date! Someone at the store (Alpharetta, GA) told my husband some time ago that he could potentially get some of his buddy's order out of a Texas store but we never heard back on that either. Our previous experience with LL was fine (Tallahassee, FL) but we may end up just cancelling the entire order ($5k) because of the lack of communication and uncertainty.

I purchased ebony engineered wood floor from Lumber Liquidators and the quality is great. A previous client had purchased the same material and it looked really good installed so we went with that same material. My company installed it and it was easy to work with. It went down fast and it looked good. I would use Lumber Liquidators again. But I would never go to the Stephanie store again because nobody there was ever knowledgeable. It seemed like they hired some idiot kids to work and have no idea what they’re doing.
I spoke to a gentleman on the phone initially and ordered the material. But I guess there was a problem with their computer system so I had to leave a payment method there. The lead time was only supposed to be a few days. But a few days went by so I called. I asked whether anybody had ordered the material but they said they didn't have any orders in their system. So they basically forgot to order it. I told them I needed to put the order in but they said the gentleman was not there. So I went through the whole process again. But when I went to go order it, they said I couldn't order over the phone and that I had to go in with the payment.
So I had to go there and put in the payment. But they didn’t order enough of the stair noses so when I got the order, I called them and said we were short on the stair noses. They said they could order some more. I asked if they could check and see if they or any of the other stores had something that was similar in stock. I told them it didn't have to be exactly the same. The guy I was dealing with told me he would give the other store a call and then call me right back but I never heard anything. So then I called back the next day. They went to find out what happened and then the same guy got on the phone. He was like, “Hey, sorry. I got wrapped up. I forgot to call you back." He said he had called the other place but they didn't have anything in stock. So I told him to order what I needed.
They were able to order the stair noses over the phone but when I called back a few days later, when the material was supposed to be there, they said the material never got ordered. So then they put the other guy on the phone again and he said, “Oh, I didn’t think that you wanted it.” And I was like, “What do you mean you don’t think I wanted it?" I had told him to order it and he had said he had a card on file that he could do it with. He was like, “Oh, no. We can’t order material over the phone.” I was like, “You have got to be ** me.” So I hung up. I was done with the Stephanie store. Those guys were incompetent.
I called another store which was the store that he was supposed to call to see if they had the stair noses in stock. They ended up having it in stock. They told me to just go and pick it up. So after a week of back and forth, and my project being delayed because of it, this other store had the material in stock the entire time. The lady said they hear this a lot about that store and she gave me a little wood floor cleaning bottle as a condolence.

My house was built in 1964 and it had carpet on the staircase and hallway going upstairs. But my wife was tired of dirty carpet. I purchased a hardwood for my red oak stair treads from Lumber Liquidators, as well as red oak floor planking. We looked around the Lumber Liquidators shop and the reps showed us a bunch of options, and then we decided to go with a natural raw wood. It’s regular, real, one-inch thick red oak. They’re pretty nice. We got them in, and then the reps sold us the stain for it and they mixed it. I was able to match it with some other woodwork in our house and it came out beautiful.
We prebuilt the wood and stained them at our own house, then put them in. We nailed each plank in and the other stuff were the click-in stuff that I did before. They all went together with tongue and groove. Everybody who sees it loves it. it will last 100 years because it’s a full inch thick. I would recommend Lumber Liquidators to my friends. I purchased a Morning Star Strand Bamboo flooring from Lumber liquidators three years ago. We aired out the bamboo for several weeks in the space before installation. Even longer than the recommended time. Our installer followed all instructions given. Soon after installation, cracks began to appear in the flooring. The installer decided more spacers must be needed. He installed several. The cracks continued to worsen, appearing all throughout the floor. It pulled away from all the walls, the spacers bowed and pulled apart leaving gaping holes. After having the floors repaired four or five times with absolutely no resolve, we filed a complaint with Lumber Liquidators. They informed us that it was due to moisture levels in our house and gave us a $500 credit. This did nothing and the cracks continue.
Then we found out that there is a national lawsuit throughout the United States and that the flooring itself is actually defective. Lumber Liquidators knew this at the time of our complaint and still refused to acknowledge that the floors need replacing. They have not stood behind their product in any way nor have they made any effort to correct the problem for us. To this moment, we have cracks all over our flooring. Lumber Liquidators currently has a class action lawsuit against them for Morning Star Strand bamboo flooring. Lawsuit states MS strand Bamboo flooring is unable to withstand typical ambient moisture variations causing the product to shrink, warp and swell. This is exactly what has happened to my floor. They sent out a what they called a 3rd party inspector. The fact is they hire and pay them so of course they will write the report in their favor. Otherwise they won't send them anymore work and move onto an inspector that will write in their favor.
The invoice clearly states a 30 year warranty and after only a few months my floor started to warp. They said there is nothing wrong with their product which is completely untrue. They also said that the expansion cracks were not a 1/2 wide. In order to check this the inspector would have to pull the corner round off which he never did. So they flat out lied to me and provided not one single photo of evidence. They are a shady company and are only trying to cover their hides because if the inspector writes negative reports. Then it will cost them thousands of dollars. I will be hiring my own inspector to get an accurate report. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR PRODUCT. IT IS CHINESE GARBAGE AND WILL NOT LAST 30 years LET ALONE A FEW MONTHS.

I don't know if the Brazilian Cherry flooring I ordered is a good product or not because I've yet to received it. I ordered it 15 days ago (as of today). The salesman told me a week to get the product, 5 more days to acclimate in my residence before installing. Today I got an email from Lumber Liquidators saying my order had been "processed" and that one out of six items was "in transit". Really? I called the store and another salesman told me my salesman may have mistakenly assumed that the flooring and other products were in a warehouse somewhere in stock. The salesman then said he had other customers (that hadn't paid thousands of dollars yet) that he had to help and asked if he could call me back in a little while. I said sure. He never called back. The brief experience we had with LL was enough to last us a lifetime. It was West Palm Beach store on Shawnee and the two that we dealt with are Sarah and Julia. Not only did we get conflicting statements and very few returned phone calls. The good customer service was non-existent. We purchased the product in Lincoln Nebraska and they filled the order in West Palm Beach Florida. They sent out an installer to give us a bid on what it would cost to install. We agreed with the price and signed the contract. Upon arriving in Florida the installers were scheduled to start on Friday November 16th. They took one look and started jacking up the prices.
We called the store and they talked to the installer back and forth back and forth back and forth. After several phone calls from us to the store and them not returning phone calls over time and time again we finally called one last time to let them know that I was going to dispute the charges as we were not getting anywhere with them and their installers leaving us high and dry. Without any word from them they refunded the full amount except for a high-priced delivery charge of $235.
After reading all these reviews, I am so glad that we did not go with Lumber Liquidators for the install. Maybe it's just Floridians. The people treated us very well in Lincoln Nebraska that sold us the product. I don't know how they stay in business treating customers with rudeness and poor installations and installers that don't know what they're doing and immediately start jacking up the price when they come to install. Bad deal all the way around but we have learned our lesson and never will darken Lumber Liquidators. Sarah and Julie need customer service training.

I needed something to match what I already had so I got wood floors from Lumber Liquidators. Their rep found the flooring, went to go pick it up, and loaded it up in my vehicle. My husband did the installation and it didn't have a backing on it like the previous floor had. It was a little more difficult than the other. We had to get a separate type of glue for it.

Years ago, we purchased some flooring from Lumber Liquidators in Pennsylvania on a home that we purchased and had been remodeling. This time, we chose Lumber Liquidators for the price. My husband did his research and the representatives answered any of our questions. They were very helpful. They even helped us load it onto our truck. So that was good. Then at one point after we installed, we needed some extra pieces of trim and they ordered it and got it in quickly. Everything was good.
We chose a bamboo flooring and we also bought their own nail gun that they sell there. It‘s a second home for us and my husband is the contractor. He is excellent in installing and he did it himself. It’s now been a few months and right now, it looks absolutely beautiful. The wood was gorgeous. Hopefully, nothing occurs in the future where it warps or anything like that. But at this point, we’re very satisfied. We got very nice wood at a very reasonable price.

We purchased 1300 feet of Morning Star Bamboo From Lumber Liquidators. Also paid for them to install. Paid 9600.00 dollars for everything. About ten months later our floors are awful, buckled and cupped out. Suppose to have a one year warranty on installation. When I contacted them they insisted that it was because of the installation and informed me I should have read the installation instructions until I informed them their people install it. They very quickly change to it was a moisture problem. This is their way of trying to get out of their warranty. I tried to get some answers by calling them. They would always say we would talk to the installer and send him out to check out the floor.
Finally he called me and said he would be out the next morning by 8:30 at 9:30. I called lumber liquidators. They would not answer the phone. About 5 minutes later I get a call from the installer saying he was running late (he was not coming if I had not called). He finally showed up to check out the floor. Before he left he said I would not be surprised if we don't get a new floor. Next I have to send a bunch of photos and file a claim.
After all this they inform me they were going send a third party inspector out to look at my floors. He came out and after just a few minutes he told me that there was several installation problems along with some moisture problems. He said the bamboo should never been install. He ask me didn't they talk to me about this. I told him they (Lumber Liquidators and the installer) never checked the moisture content. I was with them the whole time they were here. If they had told me I would not have installed the bamboo. After all this they informed me that the installer would come out and fix my floor. I talk to the installer on Thursday. He said he would go by the store and get some bamboo and would be out the following week to allow the bamboo to be aculating. This has been 4 weeks Ago and I still have not heard back from him.
I called customer care at Lumber Liquidators and was told by my claim person that this had been way too long and she was going to talk to her supervisor that day and would call me back. It has been over a week and I still have not heard back from them. This flooring problem has been going on for about 4 months. I have buckled and cup out floors I have broken molding two of my doors will not open. It is a problem where if we had a fire in the house my daughter might not be able to get out and they know this and they don't care. Please stay away from Lumber Liquidators. Also if you have problems and can't believe that this is true go to Morning Star Bamboo website and read the reviews on their site there are thousands of cases just like mine. Please spread the word and make them start caring about their customers.

We purchased a slight distressed strained bamboo floor from Lumber Liquidators. We liked the price and the sales representative was helpful. He did everything we needed him to do and then some. The only time that he didn't help me out was when he was in the store by himself. He did very well being by himself but they were very busy for there to only be one sales rep there. Otherwise, it was a good experience. The pick up was also fine. Our order came in early so we got to go get it a few days early. But it was absurd that we had to go half a mile all the way around the building to get back to your vehicle. You can't go through the building. They said it was safety reasons but that was very frustrating.
I had the flooring installed in six rooms and a hallway in less than a week. The only complaint we really have with the product is if anything get spilled on it, you pretty much have to mop the entire floor. Otherwise, you can see where something has spilled even after you've cleaned it up with a dry towel and then water. It leaves like a film. That part of the floor would be shiny and the rest of it kinda dull. And it is supposed to be a dull look. Also, it scratches a little easier than we saw. But it still doesn't scratch near as bad as actual hardwood and other than those, It's a decent flooring.

We redid our bathroom and our builder recommended us to go to Lumber Liquidators. There were lots of available choices in the showroom but we got a guy to help us make our decision. We had our re-modeler install it and the only thing they commented on, because they were having to kludge it with the tile floor in the bathroom next to it, was that it was wider than some standard hardwood. They had a problem with getting it to fit right. Other than that, the flooring is nice-looking. We chose it because of its hardiness and we wanted it to last. Overall, we had a good experience, the price was good, and it looks good.

I told him what the room was like, and he helped me pick something out that would look like it would match. I enjoyed it.
I love my new flooring. My brother and I installed it, and it was easy. The cost compared to its quality is great. It was by far the cheapest flooring I found that was decent, and it looks great in my living room. I would definitely be going back to Lumber Liquidators any time I need flooring. You should go there and speak to the same representative I spoke to. It’s definitely worth the money, and the flooring is fairly simple to install.

Although buying the product was easy, the installation service was a failure. The estimator and installers failed to account for the height factor between the new floor and the tile entrance way to the room. Subsequently they left a one inch difference between floor heights and the transition strips installed left a significant trip/Safety Hazard. It looks like the dining room floor has dropped. The worst part is the lack and failure of response to my requests for resolution from Lumber Liquidators (customer care/store/ installer management, etc). I have made numerous requests for them to fix to the Safety Hazard but to no avail. E-mail and phone calls get the same non-response. Finger pointing at responsibility to respond to my request for results is a merry-go-round within the LL organization. It is apparent that their Customer /Consumer care and Warranty is of no value. Buyer Beware! Buy elsewhere where they value your business.

They seemed like they knew what they were doing and they were really helpful in loading up the truck. The product is heavy but was easy to install, too. We're two women and we were able to install it ourselves, so that's saying a lot. Also, the flooring has good quality for the money that we purchased it for. But I wouldn't get the product again. It warped badly with water and it has been less than a year since we got it. So, we're unhappy about that. We would have to rip everything up and reinstall it.

It was quick and they helped me with whatever I needed. But the flooring I installed in our house had problems. Sometimes, it's popping up in some parts of the floor because it's not glued in. It just goes together as click-lock and in some parts, it feels like it's not attaching very well. So, I had to nail it up to make it more secure and more tied to the floor. Other than that, the floor is looking good so far and the color is great. The cost was not bad, too, although it was a little expensive because it's bamboo quality.

I was skeptical however, my experience was exceptional from knowledgeable and friendly staff to rapid delivery of product and return of unused glue, vapor barrier and unused flooring. Based on reviews I anticipated 10% waste due to cracked tongues, warped and stained boards. Our waste was about 3% and other than two of forty-four boxes that contained a preponderance of short boards, I was very pleased with the lumber. My only issue was that LL did not have spline in stock.

Because I wanted thickness, I also recently bought cheaper pressed wood for my motorhome. The first time I ordered, the professionalism of their personnel was great. However, the second time, it was questionable. Their manager called me up and I thought he was kinda rude. I had doctor's appointments so I didn't pick up the flooring as quick as he thought I ought to.
I told him that the flooring was paid for and I asked what the problem was. He said, "Well, we don’t get no credit for this till it’s out of the building.” Though the employees at their location were really nice, that guy was insistent that I get my flooring picked up. I almost told him to just send it back and credit my card. While the product is fine, I probably won't go back to this place.

I knew how much Lowe’s or Home Depot, was gonna charge and Lumber Liquidators was a little cheaper than them, so I just went there. Their sales rep is knowledgeable. However, my illusion with Lumber Liquidators was if I went there, I would be in a big store with all kinds of lumber. But there were just all these samples, and they had to order anything I wanted so I was not able to get it the day I went there. It was a 45-minute ride to the store, thinking I was gonna get the lumber but I didn't. I was back to driving 45 minutes and then a week later, drove back to get it. Also the second time I went there, the guy loaded my truck up with his forklift. When I got home, a couple of the boxes were damaged so maybe the corner of the forklift hit it.
I bought two different floorings. One was wider than the other one and one interlocked the front. I like the one better than the other. One was easier to work with than the other one. I’ve put the glue down and one didn’t fit as tight as I wanted it to. The seam was wider. It didn’t fit snuggly. But the other one fit much better when it’s snapped in. The quality of their product was good. I’m fixing up a different house and I might put another laminate down. I was happy with what I got.

Bought Morning Star Bamboo in January 2013. LL arranged for it to be installed. Every year the buckling, tenting problem arises. It was not installed properly by their contractor. I had to have the floor relayed in 2017 because of severe buckling & tenting. The contractor I had do the work said whoever installed the floor from LL did not put down a moisture barrier, and did not leave enough room around the perimeter for expansion. He said bamboo needs more expansion space compared to regular hardwood floors.
This week I spoke to LL customer relations and they said it was not their problem since the product is not defective? They lay the blame on who installed it. My point is that LL arranged for the contractor to install it, and they are negligent in arranging for a contractor who performed the inferior work. Next step is small claims court.

We hired Great Lakes Contractors, to replace the flooring in our kitchen and front room. We stressed we needed very sturdy flooring, because we had 3 active teenagers, and 3 multi-sized dogs. Our contractors highly recommended vinyl flooring, as it was very rugged, and had a 10 yr warranty - so that's what we purchased.
Last October, our beautiful new vinyl flooring from Lumber Liquidators was laid. Unfortunately, our bliss was short lived. In less than six months, the vinyl flooring began developing cracks in the middle of the boards. At first it was the area between the stove and sink. Then tears developed in the hall, then in front of the fridge, and eventually in the front room. Tears ranged from 1"-4" in length over joists, to star-shaped tears from something poking up from underneath, and also a 1/4" deep gash that was close to 5" long from something that fell on the floor.
We first contacted GLC about this obviously defective vinyl flooring in June. They in turn, have been communicating with Lumber Liquidators. Lumber Liquidators, gives a wonderful 10-year warranty. Unfortunately, they manipulate their way out of honoring it, by trying to blame the customer for the issues. According to Lumber Liquidators, the cracks, gash, and poke-holes are NOT caused by defective flooring, but because we're not cleaning the floor properly. (Hhhmm... after 50 yrs of cleaning floors, without ever ruining any of them, LL is saying that this "RUGGED" vinyl floor is disintegrating because of the way we are caring for it. Not likely.) Next, Lumber Liquidators asked that samples of the vinyl flooring be sent to them for testing. 2 workmen from GLC came and pulled-up a 4'x2' section and expedited to LL.
Now, Lumber Liquidators claims that the problem isn't defective vinyl, but that it is structural - caused by what the vinyl was laid over. NOTE: there is NO underlayment or sub-floor below the vinyl flooring. WHY? Because Lumber Liquidators specified that NO sub-flooring or underlayment was needed for this vinyl flooring.
So... we have a 1-year old defective vinyl floor, while Lumber Liquidators refuses to honor its 10-year warranty, accept responsibility for their obviously defective vinyl floor, and replace it at their own cost. Lumber Liquidators, you may make some money by scamming people, but it eventually will catch-up with you, and you will topple. Do you remember the adage, "the bigger they are, the harder they fall"?

I fell in love with the porcelain tile that looks like wood flooring that I saw on Lumber Liquidators' website. I chose the color Brazilian Ebony. I brought the picture to the store and bought that tile and said I wanted that matching grout. I had my contractors install the tile and loved it. While one installer was installing the tile on the second floor and office, I was told not to walk on the tile until it was dry. In the meantime the other contractor was grouting the downstairs installed dried tile.
Not until a few hours later was I able to walk on the tile on the second floor and go downstairs to see that the grout in the living room and dining room was the wrong color. it was too light, not like the picture I showed the salesman I had bought the tile and grout of whose expertise I had relied on. I tried calling LL and they were already closed. I called the next day first thing in the morning and reached corporate office since the phone line was down at the local LL store. I explained what had happened to a Customer Care Representative named Joelle. She asked me to send pictures, which I did to her email.
The pictures clearly showed that the grouted tile did not match the picture of the finished flooring I had showed the salesman who I had relied on to get my order right when I originally purchased the tile and grout. In the meantime my contractor told me to remove the wrong grout would cost $600 cash! When Joelle from LL called me back I told her of this fact. She said it was my responsibility to have noticed that the grout was the wrong color. I told her that I was stuck in my bedroom while the tiles were drying outside my bedroom, and that the grout was laid in 45 minutes. By the time I was able to walk on the tile and go downstairs to see that I was sold the wrong grout, it was too late! She said she could reimburse me the cost of the grout.
That's not going to cover the $600 to remove the wrong grout that I was wrongly sold. She said as good faith she would also credit my Visa card back $200. Not $600. Where is the $400 going to come from. It is their Lumber Liquidators error not mine nor my contractor. Why should I be out $400? Judging from the other reviews, Lumber Liquidators finds ways out of warranties. Joelle also told me that my tile was laid wrong, and is not under the 50 year warranty as I was lead to believe and was one of the reasons for spending over $2,200.00 on this investment. Very disappointed and would not recommend. Still seeking satisfaction. Asked to speak to a supervisor and a Sandra called me back and would not offer any more than Joelle would. I will go to all avenues of complaints until I receive full restitution.

We are doing a Complete kitchen remodel that included replacing a tile floor with hardwood floor. Once the tile floor was removed I asked the sale people on 2 occasions to send someone out to look at the floor because the floor was not level. I was assured that there would not be a problem and the installers would handle the situation. The install was set (took forever and multiple calls to get and install date) and advised it would take 2 days. Installer shows up and advisers the floor need to be leveled for an additional cost and adding 2 additional days to the installation process... Added cost $1700... We had no choice but to continue the project. If the sales team had followed up as originally requested I could have had the floor leveled in advance and there would have been no problem. Buyer BEWARE... Insist on follow up. Don’t trust their judgment of the situation. This was the Redford Store on Inkster Road.

I had a decent experience with Lumber Liquidators. I'm an installer and we try to let the customer buy what they want and we've tried to refer them to Lumber Liquidators. Their reps were courteous and gave us what we needed. One time, we ended up buying all they had at one store but it was absolutely terrible. I’ve worked with long strips of bamboo before but this particular floor, which looked gorgeous when we were done, were ground up. They have the mill and they crush that mill together and that becomes a flooring. So, when you finally look at the end of it, it looks like a bunch of straw that were crushed together and when you touch it, a bit of splinter goes right into your finger.
They should make it a real point to tell people what is good and horrible for which case. After we did the installation, it all failed because they were on the water. It cost $18,000 and the house flooded. I've been doing installations for 40 years and it was one of the most nightmarish things I've ever done in my life. But Lumber Liquidators is a good company all in all.

I installed the flooring myself and it was easy. The quality was good and the price seemed to be very good for the quality.

Updated on 12/06/2018: This is in response to your email 12/5. They sent out the same guy as before. He says it moisture related. He even stated they should have told us to do a moisture test on our subflooring which they did not. We did exactly what they said do. Which was let the flooring acclimate to the rooms is was going in for 10 days and then put the moisture barrier down then install flooring. They just don't want to pay for the flooring which has a 50 year warranty. We didn't buy cheap flooring. This flooring cost 4000.00 dollars - that doesn't include labor. All we want is the flooring fixed.
Original Review: We purchased 3/4"×5" silver oak hardwood flooring. Our contractor installed it the way the salesman said. We let the wood acclimate for 10 days then installed the vapor barrier and then the flooring. Within 3 weeks the floors started cupping. $4000.00 dollars of hardwood is a little much to have to eat when you won't stand behind your product.

Do not allow installers in your home without security present! Here is my experience. I called Lumber Liquidators for wood flooring installation. They sent a person to measure room in my house, we agreed on laying the flooring in a certain direction, adding trim once installed and painting the trim. Person agreed to everything but said there would be a charge to paint trim. I agreed to pay the charge. When estimate came room was measured at 20% larger than I had expected. Called them about this and was told they are professional and know they are doing. I should have ran at this point but went with it.
Installation team comes out to do the installation and does not want to lay flooring or paint trim as agreed. When we questioned this installers became angry and started yelling and slamming doors of my house. My wife had to go hide in another room and lock the door. I confronted the installers and their supervisor called me. I told him either install as we agreed and act professional or leave. He apologized and promised they would do as we agreed.
Later in the day installation team says they are done. We look at the room and installers ignored everything we had agreed and had installed flooring as they wanted. Not surprising there was a lot of extra material as they measured the room to be bigger than it really was. I told them it was not done correctly and needed to be fixed. They said "that is all we are going to do" packed up and left!
Since you are forced to prepay before the work there is little you can do about any of this. Scam in measuring rooms bigger than they really are. Intimidating you by yelling and slamming things. Installing as they want and then walking out. Is hard to challenge since they do install a floor. End result is you pay more than you should because room is measured bigger than it is. They install as they want, not as you want or agree and if you challenge them you may fear for your safety in your own home.
I have tried for almost two months calling and emailing local store and Lumber Liquidators installation line that I called to initiate the installation. They say they will look into it and get back to me but do not. After a few weeks have stopped responding to my emails. Please avoid this company. Maybe ok to pay a little more than you should for a floor and have it installed different than you requested. But your family should never feel threatened in their own home. These people will know where you live and the layout of your home, not good to upset unstable people that have this information.

We love the quality of the hardwood floors we got from Lumber Liquidators. I've seen Lumber Liquidators' commercial and went to the one over in Columbia, Missouri where we made the deal. The representatives were really helpful and knowledgeable. Knowing that hardwood floors aren’t truly waterproof, they told us to buy the glue for them, and I didn’t know that until they told us. So, we purchased all that with the floors. Lumber Liquidators' prices are fair, too. I'll purchase from them again in the future if need be.

We looked into a few other places and found that Lumber Liquidators was the best choice for us. Everybody was nice and courteous. The reps were very knowledgeable in everything that they explained to me so I was pretty pleased with that. I installed everything myself and the flooring laid down really nice. But I had to glue down that particular product and the glue was a little expensive. But the flooring itself was priced good. So definitely go look at Lumber Liquidators' selection.

Placed flooring 5 1/2 years ago. Color is coming off in several locations. We are only 2 people and 1 dog and remove shoes at door. LL sent "independent" contractor to look at floor and says all my fault. This company does all the inspections for LL, so much for independent inspection. I am hiring someone to reinspect floor. LL had the nerve to tell me I HAD to use a specific certification inspector so they get off the hook because they use them all of them. I'm sure very often because their product is so poor. Their inspection report said my cleaning method ruined the floors. I use lightly moist microfiber and no standing water after wiping. They reported that I use a wet mop, which I do not. They also said I didn't have gutters and downspouts, which I have.
Obviously inspector has vision problems. Cupping is supposedly from low humidity. Ha. Scratches everywhere. They are willing to do nothing. The floor was gorgeous when put down, but doesn't hold up. Take your money and buy good flooring. You are not saving money if you have to rip the floor up in 5 years and it will not last more than 5 years. The 30 year warranty is useless because they find an excuse why they are not responsible. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Their strand bamboo is such poor quality.

I bought 4,000 square feet of grade two red oak from Lumber Liquidators and the process with the sales rep was very easy and smooth. I knew that I can get it a little bit cheaper at that time period but they grade it based on what it looks like to them and sometimes by the stock. It was my first purchase from Lumber Liquidators but I've already gotten grade two red oak once before and the quality of the flooring I got this time is good. I installed all of the flooring and it wasn’t hard as I’ve done it before. Even though it’s cheaper, the pieces weren’t as long or uniform so that made it a little bit harder to install. Yet it looks really nice. It’s not to everyone’s taste probably because it’s not as uniform as the higher grades but I like it better. It’s more visually interesting even though it’s a lower grade. I used a hard wax on it and it looks really good with it. It definitely looks more rustic and it’s unique. So, the overall end product is almost better in a way.

I've shopped with Lumber Liquidators two or three times and the most recent one was solid wood bamboo flooring. I had carpet and I wanted to replace it with hardwood. I wanted to have it quick and I wanted to have a look at what was available. First, I checked the website which was fine. I could see the discounts and I found the product that I was interested in. It was not on the display, so that was kind of a little bit of a problem, and it was not even in the showroom. But when I told the rep the product number, we looked it up on the computer, I showed him my printout from the web, and he found some samples for me in the storage. Also, I was offered the discounts without me asking for it. All of the comments were very helpful and we put together the order.
The pricing that I got was very good and it was like $2.50 per square foot. But the installation of the products started at $3 per square foot which was ridiculous. When I called in the installers, they said it was a starting point and it came to something like $5 per square foot which is two times more expensive than the material itself. Also, the delivery was not available instantly, so I had to rent a truck and I delivered it myself, but it was loaded in the Lumber Liquidators store. I called a different installer who did it for me at $1.20 per square foot and we did the installation, which was easy.
The flooring is very good value for money, so I really like it, the quality, and the packaging. We needed some trim and we immediately went to the store. It was not available in one of the stores, but they immediately contacted another store. We went there and picked it up. Overall, my experience was very positive with sales and material. This particular store that I was using was very good and so is the team there. The showroom was not showing all the products, which were available but it was understandable because it's not a big showroom. Lumber Liquidators is a store to check before making a decision where to buy. I'm going to eventually come to this store again.

The original tiles that were done in the kitchen were getting frustrating. To replace those, we went with Lumber Liquidators and we got bamboo flooring but there were different challenges with getting everything done. It almost felt like I had to baby the process all the way through. When we got on the site, the first thing we asked was if we could take a look at the physical boards that we were buying. We wanted to see the physical make and look of it but they weren’t able to help with that. Luckily, they had plenty of stocks so we were able to say, “Hey, go open one and bring me one if you don’t mind, just because I’m spending 800 bucks here, if you don’t mind very much.”
Secondly, the original underlayment that we were sold was incorrect for what we needed. We found this out once we were halfway through putting down the flooring. We didn’t feel that it was doing the job. It was lumping up in certain places and doing some weird stuff in others. So I called someone out to take a look and see what was going on. We were told that the we had the the wrong underlayment for what we were trying to do. The underlayment didn’t match the picture on the order but we were assured when we purchased it that we got the right thing. I was quite fortunate that we had floored our upstairs room and we had quite a lot of that flooring left. So we had a very high-quality underlayment that we were able to reuse.
The biggest challenge I had was as we loaded the boxes up my vehicle, I noticed several of the boxes on the pallet were quite badly damaged. We were able to separate the ones that I noticed. But when I got back to my home, I noticed that around six of the boxes were quite badly damaged as well. The boxes themselves were fine. But when you opened the box, what looked like just a mark on the outside was actually quite a bad thing. At that point, I had already started the process. We complained back to the store but nobody ever came back to us. That was the biggest frustrating point that I experienced.
But other than that, the guys were great. They were very accommodating in terms of our order. I had placed an order to be delivered to a certain office. Thankfully, I called ahead of time and asked if they were ready. They had not gotten the order from the online guys but they were able to redirect us to another branch which had stocks. So once you get a hold of somebody who works in the branch itself, you’re able to get some guidance and assistance. But we certainly didn’t get very much guidance from the folks who help when you dial into the national number. The guys who installed the flooring were more accommodating than the guys that you deal with when you normally dial in.

I purchased from Lumber Liquidators 10 years ago, and recently we needed to update the floors. We got engineered bamboo and the flooring stuff worked real well. However, with the stairs, they were out of the four-foot oak and they didn't know if they were ever gonna make any more. They had to special order it from Utah and we paid $200 for shipping to get it to us. Then, the stuff we got must have been defective because they were pretty well-trashed. I asked when they would get more in and they said they could get it in a week. I ended up paying 200 bucks for shipping with something that they got in a couple days after I paid for shipping, and I got a product that wasn’t of good quality for my stairs.
When I went to pay for all the stairs, I was supposed to get a cheaper price because I bought a whole pallet full. They didn’t get me the cheaper price either. I ended up paying the full price for it. The whole stairs thing was an ordeal ‘cause we did the upstairs and downstairs in 4-foot red oak. That ended up being at least 200 bucks more, plus 60 bucks' worth of discounts that I should have gotten. Also, I looked online and I thought it would be easier to go in the store and do it, but I probably would have gotten cheaper prices if I had just done it online. But the floors and the stairs look gorgeous. I’d recommend Lumber Liquidators because the quality of their product and their pricing are good.

We had some issues with our contractors though and they had put a stain on there. We didn't like the stain, so we had it removed. There were also pieces of lumber we couldn't use. But overall, it was all good including the quality of the product. The flooring looks consistent and it was priced well.

I purchased bamboo wood flooring from Lumber Liquidators. The cost is good and so far, the quality is good as well. They were closer and their prices were better than others. Also, their sales representative was very helpful.

Lumber Liquidators was the only store that was open during the holidays. Their flooring is okay, though there was a little bit of a problem with the inventory. We had to drive 50 miles to another store because they don’t keep all their inventory in one place. That was a definite drawback. The other thing was that when you return anything, you gotta wait for a company check in four to six weeks which is a little bit annoying. Their cost is also a lot higher than the major retailers.

The carpet in our house was looking bad. I went in to Lumber Liquidators and a sales rep helped me pick out everything. Then I went ahead and bought the hardwood flooring. Everything was good. For the installation, I used my own installers and it went great. There was no problem. So far, everything looks great and is holding up good.

We bought three boxes of laminated oak flooring from Lumber Liquidators and their sales representatives were good. I already bought the same product from early in the year, but this time, all three boxes were defective. The one side was mismilled on all the shorter pieces and I could not use them. Lumber Liquidators told me to lay what I could and they would order replacements for me. The replacements arrived on their timeframe and were okay. I installed the flooring and it's pretty easy to work with. The quality is good too. I've talked to people about Lumber Liquidators, telling them that if they want an inexpensive flooring that looks pretty good, that laminate I got from Lumber Liquidators is hard to beat.

I bought some of the unfinished 3/4-inch number two oak planks from Lumber Liquidators. We built the house in '96 and the builder bought from Lumber Liquidators. The original flooring held up long. I was just adding a different room. I installed the new flooring and it was very easy.

I got a few pieces of flooring from Lumber Liquidators. I went to the store with a sample of the wood I needed. I showed the salesman what I had and told him what it was for, and we matched up the colors the best we could. He was very friendly and courteous. He had to order the product and he gave us a call when it was in. The wood's quality is excellent. I did the repair work myself and the product was very easy to work with.
