I bought a new house and I wanted to take off the carpet. The sales representatives were helpful and were able to answer any questions I had. They also kept me posted when all my items arrived so I could come pick them up and were helpful in putting them on the truck. I would definitely go to Lumber Liquidators again if I needed more flooring. I feel like I got what I paid for.

The floors in our home are really old and they needed to be updated, so we purchased hardwood flooring at Lumber Liquidators. The sales rep was very helpful and seemed friendly and professional. We bought the low-end budget flooring, which was nice and had a fair cost. I installed it myself and it was great to work with. There was not a lot of unusable pieces and we didn’t have to waste a lot of material because it was unusable. The quality is great and we’re very happy.

I have talked to several individuals about the issues. No one has ever called me back. I was told my floor was going to be installed on Wednesday. 3 days later it still wasn't installed. Your HSS claims no responsibility but they are the ones who sent this contractor out to me. I waited 3 days, tried to be understanding to their reasons. Took another contractor to finish the job so 4 days I sat waiting. The other contractor finished in one day. I'm upset that no one seems to care that I spent 3 days waiting and listen to bad lies of why they weren't here.

I wanted an accent on the wall so I bought the floor tile that looks like wood from LL. I had a hard time getting a salesman to help us in San Antonio. They didn't have any samples and the salespeople were all in the back. They had one guy there and there's a couple of people waiting to be helped. I had to take what they had in stock in San Antonio. When I got it home, I didn't like the tobacco so I went up to Austin, and I traded this tile in for another one that's a little lighter that didn't have the tobacco in it. I'm still waiting for a $50 refund that I was supposed to get when I purchased this. It's been quite some time now.

We purchased the Brazilian cherry floor from Lumber Liquidators. When we were there looking at the wood, they showed us one piece that was very scratch-resistant. I I even had to try to scratch it and it didn't make any marks on it. The wood that we have here scratches fairly easily. It's not like what we saw in the store. I don't know if they have some type of coating that they put differently on the wood. The flooring looks fine. I just need to find a way to protect it from scratches.

I got bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators. I lifted 30 boxes and brought them home. The next day I opened the box to check it out to only find that what I had purchased and ordered was not in the boxes and that's when I ran into the attitude problem. Their representatives was a little cocky. I said I want somebody to come out, pick up the boxes, and bring me out what I ordered. The rep said "we don't do that." I said, "you have somebody doing the delivery." He goes, "No. I don't have anybody." I said there's somebody that delivers for them or he hire somebody to do the delivering. I said I already moved 30 80-pound boxes and I'm not going to move those boxes back and then reload and then move them back into my house when I already did it once. Then he gives me the thing that "maybe we can be out there in a couple of weeks."
I said, "Really?! I purchased them. I moved them. I'm not moving them again. I'm 61 years old and I'm not taking this thing up two or three times just because you got it wrong." It was not my fault if the product that was in the box was wrong. Three days later and I got my stuff delivered and then the guy who did the delivering was all alone, on the truck, and I had to end up helping him move it in and out anyhow. As far as their product goes, it looks good but the service and the rudeness I got was not acceptable to me.

I have a new house so I wanted to have the floors done. I bought hardwood from Lumber Liquidators and they guaranteed that they had tons of this flooring in stock all the time so I paid $1,300 that day. I waited a week to get a phone call and they said, "Oh, we don't have that flooring and you've got to wait three to five weeks for your money back." I asked them if they could offer me either an equal grade floor or better at the same price. And they said no and that they could offer me a lesser floor. I said, "No. Why would I wanna do that?" I also told them to give my money back and I'll go somewhere else. I would never do business with Lumber Liquidators again.

I buy flooring from you every time I need to install any type floor that you sell. Didn't try your ceramic yet. Several weeks ago I went in and bought some red oak for my own home to finish one last bedroom. I bought all my second floor flooring from you including my stairs... When I went to pick it up I waited forever to get the flooring. The guy running the forklift decide to cut me off and take care the person that was after me in line. Very disappointed at this point very long wait. And I need to return to my job site now unattended!!!
Also I found out that we are not getting the 10% discount anymore... I send customer in your way and not return for me. So I dont see why I will need to keep sending my clients your way. By the way just send someone in and they bought 500 sq ft of flooring + padding + transitions + steps and risers that I will be installing soon. Hope you will read this. I am a small company with lots of customers.

I got a home project going on and purchased some flooring from Lumber Liquidators. I did a comparison and their products suit my need. The sales representative was nice and formal. He informed me well and gave me information about the product. I like the flooring so far. It's great. I installed it myself, and it was very easy and simple. As a matter of fact, it's one of the reasons why I was interested in that flooring. However, one of the things that wasn't brought to my attention at the time of the purchase was that I could've saved a little money with their interest-free financing. They asked for the credit card and it cost me a little on the interest.

Few points: Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Grand Rapids seems to be understaffed during peak times. Took excessively long for orders to be processed and delivered. Staff wasn't good at returning calls, but I assume it's due to their being spread so thin. We ordered a discontinued product, but they calculated WAY too much for our needs and we're stuck with $1000 in flooring we cannot return. I'm sure they're coached by the company to sell this way, but that's a decent amount of money for me and I didn't appreciate it. Won't be using Lumber Liquidators again if I can help it.

We're building a new house and we bought bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators. It looks good. I purchased some flooring last year from Menards that was very similar. It was 70 cents a foot more expensive, but it was a little bit thicker. The installers seemed to think there wasn't much difference though between the two woods. However, the location absolutely stinks. Why did the upper management decided to put a retail store in the middle of an industrial park with a crappy parking lot? It's not convenient to get to at all. If they spent a little bit more on a better location with a nicer parking lot, they probably sell more flooring. But the inside and the displays were nice.

After purchasing $8,000 worth of hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators, I learned they will not warrant the wood against mismatched sizing! What does that mean to you? Let me explain. After our kitchen was halfway installed, we began noticing gaps, strange gaps all over the floor. We stopped the work and began close inspection of the wood. We quickly found the cause. Several of the boards were one eighth inch narrower than the others. When it comes to hardwood flooring, varying board lengths and even thickness is ok. However, you cannot carry the width of a board even the smallest amount or the following boards will begin to lay more and more crooked.
After contacting Lumber Liquidators, they stated it is the installer's job to check each and every board before installing! Can you imagine how insane this statement is. We only bought 1000 sq. ft., but that would mean measuring about 20,000 boards before installation. It's appalling that they cannot even manufacture wood properly and even worse they will not warrant their material. STAY AWAY FROM LUMBER LIQUIDATORS unless you want to increase your installation cost by 10 fold and end up with gaps throughout your house.

We were assured there would be no problems and there weren't any. The installers were great too! They found a pair of diamond earrings that we thought were long lost and we were impressed with their honesty and integrity in bringing them to our attention immediately. On March 16th I went to the Lumber Liquidators store in Mentor, Ohio. Your staff member, I believe his name is Scott, was of tremendous help in getting me the flooring I needed. He did not have it in stock in Mentor but located the quantity I needed in your Canton location. He called that location and made arrangements for me to pick up 19 boxes of red oak select, 3/4 by 3 and 1/4 inches wide. I drove to Canton and the product was waiting for me when I arrived. It was loaded into my van and I was on my way. The floor was installed and looks beautiful.
I did have one box that was not used. I called your Mentor location and asked if I could return the unopened box there instead of going to Canton. Scot took the return, he really made it easy. Great doing business with him. The one concern I have with your product is the lack of long pieces of flooring. Out of the 18 boxes there were 4 that had nice long (over 5 foot) pieces. Most were in the 24 to 36 inch length with a lot of smaller pieces as well. This creates many seams. I was told it is the luck of the draw. I do have some additional floors that I am considering installing. Frankly if I could find a distributor with longer pieces of flooring I would purchase their product. All in all it was a very positive experience.

We ordered unfinished wood flooring to replace the original hard wood flooring that was going bad in our house. The one we order with you guys was nice looking but a lighter wood. This isn't wood you would replace original wood flooring with. It wasn't very solid and had some problems with it because of the lightness of the wood. I think the associate just assumed it was maybe going on top of other flooring??? I would have never bought this if I knew what I know now.

We originally went to Lumber Liquidators to buy hardwood floor for our kitchen. A friend of ours used them for a huge remodel and was thrilled, so we decided to buy our floor from them. THEN... another friend who lays flooring discouraged us from going to them, and instead gave us another company. We decided to go with the other company because our friend was in the construction business and we thought we should follow his recommendation. What a mistake!!! The other company sold their flooring at a "40%" discount since we were friends with a contractor... and it was almost $900 more than Lumber Liquidators! AND... when the flooring was delivered I knew immediately there was a huge problem... We were sold 1/4" wood! We needed 3/4" solid wood.
I called the company and they said we should have known it was only 1/4". She said the sample they gave us to take home had been glued to a 3/4" wood piece. Maybe this is industry standards, but as a non-professional DIYer, I really didnt know. I told her we needed 3/4" to match our living room floor and she said it would be at least $1000 more than what we just paid!
OK, so I said we just wanted to return it and then she said we would be charged a 25% restocking fee plus we would need to pay for a carrier. We did. I told her we were going to Lumber Liquidators and she was pretty denigrating about their product quality, re-stocking fees (seriously???), etc. I said my friend had nothing but positive experiences INCLUDING returning extra product (without incurring any re-stocking fees) AND with almost ZERO waste (due to product quality). She said, "Good luck!" Wow.
So we went BACK to Lumber Liquidators and got beautiful solid hardwood 3/4" at a fraction of the cost of the other company. We had 270 sq. ft. of wood floor and counted 2 small boards that we couldn't use (used them for an edge so ZERO waste), returned a box of t-molding (no re-stocking fees) and despite how much we lost from the other company... we still saved $400.00 (Would have been $900 had we not gone to the other company). The guy who helped us was friendly, helpful and cared about what kind of floor we need because we have large dogs in a heavy traffic area. Definitely Lumber Liquidators gets my vote!

First and foremost, the store 242 team is very polite and professional. THEY ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE!!! However, so far my experience has been disappointing. Four trips to pick up material and over a month later, the installation is still pending. Starting with my initial visit, a timeline follows:
Date: March 3. Initial visit to store 242. I met with the assistant manager and selected a hardwood floor. I provided a credit card and was billed on 03/03 for an initial payment of $1,078.00. Date: March 6. Installer (an LL subcontractor) came to my home and took measurements (floor and staircase). He informed me that the installation of hardwood was not possible and an alternate option would need to be discussed/recommended by store 242 team.
Date: March 8. Second visit to store 242. I discussed and selected an engineered floor and my credit card was billed for $5,945.46. It was explained to me that initial credit card amount billed on 03/03 for $1,078.00 would be returned to my credit card. The amount returned on 03/11 was $1,051.25, which is $26.75 less than the original amount. What is the reason for this difference? The LL installer subcontractor emailed the floor and staircase measurements to store 242. I was not copied, so I am unaware of whether or not the measurements were accurately conveyed to the store 242 team.
Date: March 12. I made arrangements to borrow an SUV in order to pick up the materials related to my order. It turned out the order was incorrect. Mistakes do happen and despite the inconvenience I understand this is not the norm.
Date: March 16. I arrived at store 242 to pick up materials. Unfortunately, the materials for the staircase were not part of the order. I had communicated with the LL team on at least two occasions to confirm the full order was in house before I went to pick it up. At that time (03/16), I provided my credit card and was billed for $1,322.78 for staircase material. Apparently, the material for the staircase had not been included in initial invoice.
Date: April 1. I made my third visit to store 242 to pick up the balance of materials for the installation floor steps and risers for the staircase. I informed the store manager that the risers were too short (36 inches) and that there were three pie steps on staircase. Later that same day, I forwarded photos of the staircase and measurements of the pie steps to the store 242 manager. That evening (~7 PM) I contacted the customer service line.
Date: April 2. I made a fourth visit to store 242. At this visit, I returned 2 risers and 2 steps to the store manager. I also provided more photos and measurements of the pie steps. I am now waiting to get this issue resolved so that the installation can be scheduled.

It makes no sense that you can return finished flooring but not unfinished. You had it in stock in the back and could simply put it back in your stock room. Immediately red flags were raised. Both our small daughter and I have been suffering from breathing issues including bronchitis and asthma. Lumber Liquidators refused to give us one of their free air test kits based on the year we purchased our flooring. We paid out of pocket for an independent air test which came back elevated 56 ppb. Lumber Liquidators refuses to take any responsibility at all. I was told by Reginald at Tom Sullivan's corporate office if these results were from one of their free air test kits we would have been moved to phase 2, the plank would be tested. But since they are taking no responsibility for floors purchased in the year 2009 I am out of luck.
We are now in the process of removing the floors with absolutely no help from Lumber Liquidators. We have no idea the lasting health effects these emissions will have caused. They don't care. Furthermore, dealing with their customer service was a nightmare. They were rude, condescending, and totally blew me off. I had previously installed your flooring products with no problems for three of my rental units to the point where I felt like I trusted your store brand as being a reliable and dependable brand. That all changed with my latest purchase. It was just to finish one being since that's all I was short. I believe I ordered 10 to 16 boxes of which three were damaged. I admit it was my error for not verifying the contents of each individual box. I began to trust Lumber Liquidators as a brand so I didn't think too much of it when I was loading up my order. Foolish me also assumed that Lumber Liquidators stood behind the products they were offering.
When we began to install the flooring it was apparent I had received some damage product. I immediately called store 344 where I first encountered Heather a assistant manager on the phone. After explaining my predicament to Heather she began to scold me and told me it was my error for not checking all the boxes to make sure none was defective even if the boxes were wrapped which they were. Heather the assistant manager told me to come to the store to exchange the product. I informed her due to my schedule that could not take place until Thursday due to my schedule. The initial conversation occurred on a Monday. I emailed customer service the same day to inform of my findings as well.
The Thursday approached. I gathered the damage product to exchange at store 344. Upon my arrival at store 344 I encountered Heather and Chris. I informed Heather the reason for my visit. She then informed me that the product I called and spoke to her that Monday is out of stock. And it was out of stock prior to Monday when we spoke and it would take two weeks for the next shipment which to me is not acceptable to keep a schedule for a renovation. I informed Heather I just wanted to return the damaged items and will travel to another location to keep my schedule intact. She agreed and found another location for me to travel to the same day. I agreed so Heather followed me to my vehicle to inspect the damaged products. This is where my trust in Lumber Liquidators took a dive.
After physical inspection Heather determined that she didn't want to accept the three damaged boxes of which two were still wrapped in plastic. One was out of the plastic which is the way I received it from Chris when I originally picked my order up the week before. After further discussion Heather informed me that Lumber Liquidators should've not sold me the products in that condition and her fellow employee Chris confirmed that the product was in the same condition as when I picked it up. But for some reason Heather denied my return and said I had to contact corporate to get my refund for the damage items. I was frustrated and upset so I informed Heather I will just take it to the same location that had the additional quantity I needed which was three boxes.
I traveled about 40 minutes to the location on Roosevelt Blvd in Philadelphia. When I arrived they informed me Heather already called them and told me that I could not return the damage product without inspecting it based on Heather alleging I was irate. I kept the damage product and proceeded to purchase the three additional boxes I needed. Once I left the location I called customer service to follow up with my case. I already started to voice my dissatisfaction with services and professionalism offered by Heather. I spoke with Allysa. She seemed interested in satisfying my concerns where she had a young lady from the PR department who would be able to assist in getting me my refund for the damaged products. I spoke with the lady in the PR department. I explained the circumstances. She alleged she was going to send me a form to fill out to get my refund. That never happened and I am still waiting for that form.
This past weekend the renovation was completed and I had the three boxes that were not used so I attempted to return the items with my receipt where I encountered Heather at the register where she was tending to another customer while Chris picked their order. She alleged she spoke to her manager who was away for two weeks and he confirmed with her that she could turn me away without first seeing what I needed or wanted which I found insulting and rude especially in front of other customers who canceled their order based on her behavior. Heather proceeded to call 911 to get me evicted out of the store. Chris agreed to do my return since he didn't see why he couldn't after he inspected the product and seen they were still in boxes and wrapped.
In the middle of Chris processing my return Heather stopped him and said he isn't allowed to do the return because she didn't feel safe. After the police came Chris confirmed with me in front of the Police that I was not a threat or in any irate or causing any mischief. Heather insisted they escort me out of the store after I had Chris email me the reasons why which he didn't state in the email.

I'd done a couple purchases from Lumber Liquidators. Downstairs in the hallway, I had carpet and over some years, the dogs and cats did what dogs and cats do, so it was time to replace the flooring. I had a bamboo product that was extremely nice and very well-made. Then recently, I went back and needed some additional flooring for some patching I had to do and I picked up some birch. It was two and a quarter by three quarter which I found awesome. Also, the reps were very good. The last time I went in for the birch flooring, apparently, there's been a change over in computer systems and their system locked up. It took a while for them to get that worked out but they still worked with me as far as keeping me happy enough. They also seemed to know what they're doing and were very helpful.
Then I installed the floor myself and it was very easy. The bamboo that I put down was over a concrete floor, so I had to do the glue down and that went fine. It's not as nice as some of the others but that went very well. However, the material for the glue down comes in five-gallon buckets. It'd be nice if it could be in smaller buckets because I used up the five gallons and my wife thought, "This could be really nice in the bathroom, too, right next to it". So I had to buy another five gallons and I wish there was a gallon or something in between.
So other than the store seems to be extremely busy and doesn't always have the staff to deal with it, I've been extremely happy with what I've received. The quality of their products is outstanding. I looked at other places but I liked what I ended up getting from them. Cost was also as good or better than the others. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

They didn’t really explain much about the warranty or the components like the material, what’s it made of or how it’s made, so I would've liked more information on the product.

Pathetic company that should not exist. Purchased wood that was in stock would come in a week I was told. Took only 5 weeks, never notified about delay, per manager "too many orders to track". Product itself looks completely different than in a showroom. Felt like paid for Mercedes and got a Kia. Filed a claim for poor quality product, (50% of wood is garbage, either chipped edges or not covered with stain properly). Three weeks went by and yet to this day I have no update. Managers are sending from one to another. I wish I never had entered their store.

I just purchased my home and I had carpet in select areas that I wanted to get rid of in order to have hardwood throughout. I went to Home Depot and Lowe's to look at the pricing. I decided to try a wholesaler like Lumber Liquidators and when I went in, I found exactly what I wanted at a much better price. Their sales reps were very helpful. They gave me a lot of options and showed me what it would look like if I got engineered hardwood or if I got laminate - the differences between the two. In the end, I purchased their engineered hardwood flooring.
They were also able to recommend somebody to actually come in and do the labor for me. The flooring is excellent. I referred my neighbor to get theirs done after mine and they also went to Lumber Liquidators. Their installation team was awesome. They came on time, lifted everything and told me about how long it would take. It was pretty easy and got everything done on time. They have quality product and their team had great knowledge of their product. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

A 3 day job is now going on 45 days of being incomplete. Apparently 2 separate crews have attempted installing bamboo flooring and have failed. 2 separate reorders of material and we are awaiting arrival of the third order and a different installer. We are very disappointed as I inquired if this was one contractor or if this job was going to be subcontracted out further. I was assured it was not and to our surprise this job was resubcontracted twice. We are living with a torn up house due to the construction of the flooring mess and no one seems to think this is a problem. We are done with the excuses and the attitudes and simply want this nightmare to end.

When I got to the store I didn't like the floor that I ordered online. The guys in the store were GREAT!! They helped me find what I wanted and gave me such a good deal on it that I was able to get matching baseboards, Quiet Walk underlayment, a mop, and floor cleaner for what I paid on my online order. And a credit back for $24! I told the guys that I was renovating a room for my house rabbits. Turns out they both have had pet rabbits so they were just as excited as me to pick out just the right products for the new "bunny room" in my home. They went above and beyond anything I expected and I can't wait to go back in a couple of months to get the new flooring for my bedroom. Yes, my bunnies are spoiled and their room got done first!

I was doing a remodel and got an unfinished red oak from Lumber Liquidators. At the very beginning, it was good a good experience. However, the ending, particularly the very last interaction that I had with their sales rep in their Raleigh store, ruined everything. It was a very bad experience. When I gave the square footage of the floor that I needed to get covered, he gave me the estimate of what it would cost and told me that I can return anything which I wouldn't use. When I came back to return two bundles, he said that I couldn't return it because it was unfinished wood. This was very upsetting to me and I left very aggravated. I will not do business with them ever again. I don't like that they use formaldehyde to treat the wood. I also don't like where they get the wood from - it's cheap. There were boards that were unusable and about six of them were damaged. That was quite a bit of loss. It was a horrible experience overall.

I spent months trying to find the perfect flooring for my home. It is a huge decision and I didn't plan on doing it more than once. I was told that the flooring I was interested was great for what I needed- I have an open concept kitchen/living room and hallway that I did. I also have animals and a two year old, so I needed something durable, scratch resistant, easy to clean, and looked nice in the area I have. My husband and father installed the flooring according to factory instructions and within a week I already have cracks and you no more need to pull a high chair over the floor to have it scratch. I paid a good amount of money and feel as though I was lied to to make a sale.
After my flooring was installed I went back to the store to purchase a cleaner and explained the scratch issue and asked if they had anything I could BUY to take the scratches out and keep it from happening. The sales representative I talked to had an attitude and had the demeanor of me just being a stupid housewife wasting his time and told me to google my options. I took a risk choosing Lumber Liquidators and it was the wrong bet on my part. If I had it to do over again I would go elsewhere.

We purchased an engineered hardwood Acacia flooring from Lumber Liquidators. Their sales rep was excellent and we love the flooring as it's exactly what we were looking for. It looks great and it went in easily. We installed it ourselves. It's not our first time so it was relatively easy. It was more challenging to find the right pattern to make it look good because the Acacia flooring has a very large variation in coloring. Our experience was positive, the flooring was beautiful and the installation was easy. I was very satisfied.
However, I found out that they had a lawsuit about harvesting from endangered forestry. I also read about the high levels of formaldehyde in their flooring, of their laminate products, and that left me very unsettled. So, I feel like I have a very large disconnect between our positive experience and what I've read through the media afterwards. That was very disheartening. I was very happy with our products but it made me concerned afterwards that there's something about it that I'm maybe not aware of in terms of safety of product.
Now I feel that I would need to go back and do more research before I'd buy from them again to feel safe about their products. I would be thinking twice about purchasing from them again based on their ways of practice. I would maybe go to a different company because of that. We were turning towards putting hardwood floor in to get rid of all of the chemicals that we're trying to get rid of. And then to hear that some of their laminates had very high levels of formaldehyde made us very concerned. What have we put in our house with our family? As we try and get rid of these chemicals, did we bring more in unintentionally or unaware?

The store and sales experience was satisfactory. At first the floor looked beautiful but after some time it started to split. We waited a while to see how bad it would get and when we contacted the customer service dept we were palmed off with what appeared to be a standards letter full of crap saying "Checking (splitting) are the results of environmental conditions and not due to a manufacturing defects. Wood drying out related to moisture content changed." The letter basically saying GO AWAY, it's your fault and your problem. So what started to look like a beautiful floor has ended up looking crap. A supervisor missed an appointment for an estimate on a separate install project. The office manager called to inform me that he was sick and promised to call me within the hour with an estimate for the job. It was not prolonged because they had it in stock which was excellent. I'm really happy with everything so far. I love the smoothness, the shininess, and the coloring of it. It's very comfortable, too. However, we are installing it ourselves and it's time-consuming so it would take time for people with limited time. One wouldn't want a total layman to be doing the install and one has to have the right tools to do it. Additionally, bringing the boxes home and carrying them up and down the steps was ridiculous. The boxes were very heavy and I'm 5'2" and weigh about 100 pounds. If I'm on a main floor, it would've been fine.

The installers showed up late both days and were very inappropriate, unprofessional, disrespectful and made us uncomfortable in our own home. They left out house a mess, left layers of sawdust (because they cut inside the house even though they were asked not to and were literally a foot away from a sliding door) and they left trash around. During install they RUINED our brand new floors. Lumber Liquidators (LL) did what they could to facilitate the fix but the company they hire to manage installers - The Home Service Store (HSS) - never once showed concern for L.L. Customer's time, money, floors or experience. I even called from the store so the manager could hear how rude HSS was to its customers.
We were forced to communicate via email because we no longer trusted the installers or HSS. This was a smart move because HSS and the installers tried to force us at the last minute to pay more than what was agreed upon to come back and fix the floors. Fortunately we have all the emails and paperwork to prove how dishonest they were being. We never had any problems with Lumber Liquidators employees but getting our floors installed and then fixed was a long and painful process made more ridiculous by the installers and by HSS. I have no issues with Lumber Liquidators, their product or their people. We enjoyed all aspects of LL. When the sales person makes it a point to let you know that "by initialing here you are agreeing to the fact that once you open the box it is not returnable", which is in itself a rather harsh thing to tell a fresh and happy customer. But then when you arrive back with an unopened box and are told "by the way, you know there is a restock fee on this don't you?" (same salesperson). When hardly a week has gone by and he knows for sure that you DO NOT KNOW THAT, now that is reprehensible. I gave him the box back and told him I want nothing back except the satisfaction of being done with him and his lousy business. Plus, deep down inside I will have the satisfaction too of watching a very ugly company, doing business in a very ugly way, go down the tubes in a very ugly spiral to soon being a worthless shell of a company with a stock price near zero. Not only has the rather dubious exercise through Building Home Check not ameliorated our concerns, but rather it has highlighted the corporate tendency to cover up obvious malfeasance, in lieu of offering to replace the contaminated materials. I ask you, what percentage of environmental contaminants is acceptable to Lumber Liquidators? The death of how many of our pets is an acceptable Lumber Liquidators? How much of an increase in our personal susceptibility to cancer is an acceptable risk to Lumber Liquidators?
How much of our mental anguish is an acceptable before Lumber Liquidators pays attention to our numerous calls and requests? In any event, well before the expiration of the applicable Statute of Limitations, our attorneys will certainly be asking Lumber Liquidators to clarify their responses to the above and to advise us what, if any, responsibility they feel for what the harm and risks they have foisted upon our family.
