I love my floors, but I was a little upset when the young man that I purchased the floors from told me the product would be in within the week and it actual took a month or more. I had a contractor measure the square footage and when he laid my floors I came up one slat short. I had to buy a whole box for one slat, now I have a box I can't use. But kudos to Daniel at the Mercury Blvd store for his great customer service.

Everything they quoted from deliveries to installations and prices never wavered or changed. Experienced and accommodating installers that had a big challenge with demo of existing hardwoods and tile did a superb job. Very satisfied. I would highly recommend Lumber Liquidators.

It was horrible. Understaffed and the manager or supervisor had one price displayed yet told us we had to pay more than the displayed price because it was an error. Staff members have no knowledge of lumber and the supervisor was just as bad.

We use to buy quite often from here but, the latest styles customers aren't enthused about. The painted edge that designers love my clients don't care for. They like their floor to flow and if they want the tile look, that's what they would buy. Hope they go back to natural eased edge.

Great Product. I bought unfinished utility grade Oak, 99 cents per square foot and I had quite a bit of waste which is what was advised in the description. I used this product to build the top of a work bench and was quite picky about the boards I kept. Overall very satisfied and it resulted in a really nice bench.

The process of dealing with LL's HSS was a bit rocky, people not showing up or calling, no response when I wrote, no follow up when I called. The flooring itself is pretty but it's of a different quality than the last time I ordered it. It doesn't feel as "cushy" as when I purchased it 4 years ago. Kyle and company did a great job but they could've handled some of the corners better. I didn't notice the gaps at corners until after the job was complete. But they were friendly and fast. Overall, it looks really great!

I really liked the young women that waited on me. She knew what she was talking about and help me with every thing I needed to do the job. When I go back if she is not working I will not be getting anything. The two boys that worked there was too busy talking to their friends to help with anything at all even when we loaded my truck. They just stood and watched a old man and a very small young women do all the work. If I was the boss they would not be there anymore.

Told my salesman 3 times that I was going to need away in Mexico for 9 days. So for 9 days I kept getting emails and phone calls to pick up my order. Called a couple of times and told them. It didn't help. Kept getting them. So my advice is do not give them your email address, and somebody you don't like phone number, and just call every now and then to see if your order is in.

While I love the flooring that I purchased, the customer service at pickup was awful. I have bought large things at many other hardware stores and they have always helped me with loading and tying down. They do reiterate that they aren't responsible if something happens. At the Lumber Liquidators Store that I picked up in, the associate dropped the flooring in my truck with the lift and said, "Have a nice day." I had straps and tie downs, that I didn't know how to use. It was my 10-year-old son and myself (a female). He came back to sign and when I asked for help with the tie downs, I was told he wasn't allowed and he went back in the store and left me.
Now I understand policy is policy but a little customer service goes a long way. Just a little guidance with the straps would have been nice and I would have done the actual work. Needless to say, this was a tiny foyer area that I was completing. I am now working on a 1200 sq ft area and will be going to Lowe's or Home Depot where I have always had great service!

We met with Travis at the store and he was very helpful. Jose and his crew did a great job installing. The only problem is that the kitchen had a subfloor and Jose said he could not put the hardwood on top. It ended costing us an additional $890.00 and you had us over the barrel at that point on the day of installation. We feel we were taken.

I love how it takes months to get your floor installed. Then when they do show up late, work about 45 min then go take 2 hour lunch then come back the work the same time then leave. Then leave things undone and it took another month to get them back to complete the job.

My only downside to this is we spent the extra money for a harder wood compared to the typical oak flooring because of our dog. Unfortunately she is still able to easily scratch the flooring. I recently bought engineered hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators. Actually, I've been through the whole house with their products. I did my living room and hallway with their flooring. In one bedroom, we glued down three inch hardwood, and in the remaining two bedrooms, I did engineered hardwood. All these with flooring purchased from Empire. I decided to update the flooring because I had glue down, engineered flooring in, and it was getting pretty weathered, and it was time to replace it. So, I took all that out since I didn't like carpets in the house either.
The sales reps explained and went through pretty good all about the products and the warranty, and the different brands that I had to pick from. But I already knew what I wanted when I went into the store. I like the quality of the flooring that I got. Everybody pays compliments whenever they come in. The first thing you see when you open the door is the hardwood floor. It catches your eye. It looks good because my furniture matches up well with the color of the floor.
I put the flooring in myself and it was really easy to put down. The glue down was harder to work with because of the three inch boards. They don't make it anymore in cherry. I noticed that the long cuts had a little bit of a warp to them, and it was kind of hard to keep the gaps out of them. But as far as the engineering, the lock and the groove, that was the easiest to put down, and that's what I'd recommend to anybody to put down. In fact, I wish I had put that down throughout the whole house. Overall, I like the experience that I've had with Empire, and I have nothing negative to say about it at all.

We were installing a hardwood floor in our new pantry. It's not a big room but we wanted to put the finished oak in it. So I purchased a box of pre-finished two and a quarter inch wide oak flooring from Lumber Liquidator. Our contractor installed it and it looks perfectly good. When I came in their store, I told their sales rep what I wanted and they showed me some alternate options. We picked the middle-grade flooring because it's going into a pantry and didn't need the most expensive or the least expensive flooring. We also picked the color that we wanted. My whole interaction with their salesperson took less than four minutes. Then he told me to drive around the back of the building and the guy came out and loaded it in the back of the car.
I've done a lot of work in houses, especially my house, over the years including installing a lot of floors. So it was only a matter of picking with a very narrow range of what product I want because I've already conceptualized what I need in my head. They sold me the product I needed as quick and painlessly as possible. It was so painless that my charming wife didn't even need to get out of the car and come into their store.

We've bought a new house and I don't like having carpet in my dining room, so we decided we were gonna put new flooring down. We bought hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators and their sales representatives were very good in explaining to us the different kinds of laminate as opposed to the wood, and the already stained and sealed woods as opposed to just having the raw wood. They were really helpful.
We did the installation ourselves with the help of a friend that used to do it as a business. Our friend showed us how to get the flooring lined up. Once we got the hang of it, we took it from there. It was pretty easy. We just finished putting down the last part of the flooring and so far, we really like it. We're gonna do another room and a hallway probably after the holidays and finish out. We got told that the type of wood we got goes out of production in February. So sometime between now and then, we're going to finish this project.

We purchased this flooring based on the salesperson telling myself and my husband that the floor would not scratch. We have German Shepherd and we were concerned, as I had done research prior and everything I read stated it would scratch. The salesperson showed both myself and my husband how it would not scratch by taking a piece of the flooring and a large rock and rubbing and knocking the rock back and forth to prove to us, it would not scratch. He also told us he had the same kind of dog and flooring and he did not have any scratches on his floor. Based on this we went ahead and purchased the flooring.
Two weeks after the install, there were noticeable scratches. I went into the store, told the manager but was basically ignored, asked if there was a filler or something I could buy and was told no. Based on being sold something that turned out not to be what we were told we would be getting, I am extremely dissatisfied and cannot recommend Lumber Liquidators to anyone. I am not an expert but relied on the expert to be honest and tell me what we should be buying, turns out I spent a lot of money for something I am going to have to replace down the road.

We had carpet upstairs and that was the last place in the house that we had carpet on and we wanted to remove it. So we bought bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators. They were very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable of the product. We also hired an installation team through them and they were great. The bottom-most step came unglued. They came back and got it taken cared of.
The only thing that we were a little bit unhappy with was the design of the sample in the store was a little different than the actual flooring we got. The original was a little bit more distressed and the flooring they delivered was more even. Not enough for us to change it, but the display models need to be updated. Still, it was beautiful and we’re happy with it. Not everybody would be as understanding as we would have this. When we went and talked to them, they were willing to take it back and replace it so there were no problems. Having said that, everything else was great and we will definitely recommend them.

I bought a box of replacement hardwood from Lumber Liquidators and the sales rep was positive, very cooperative and helpful. He brought it out to my car and it was all good. This was in the West Ashley location. It was very easy considering that when I first called the North Charleston location, they told me that it will take two-three months to get the same product. I bought wood floor from Lumber Liquidators. The quality is good and I like it. My only question with them is about the bill. They gave me a price of $2.56 for one sq. ft. But after a week, I came back and they said it would be $2.47 which is a sale price. So they're supposed to credit me $56 back in my account but when I got the bill, I didn't see that. I went back to the cashier there who said he's gonna fix it but that he needed to call someone. The cashier said he'd call me back but never did. Now, I'm waiting for the second bill to see if they credited $56 in my account or not. Everything else is fine.

We arrived asking for unfinished seconds on your hardwood flooring not knowing there is a difference between seconds and utility grade flooring. Most likely because we are not in the business of laying floors and the products you sell. The gentleman behind the counter sold us 900 feet of utility grade flooring. We struggled with the first 20 bundles or so trying to find pieces that would be good enough to fit together and once filled in and sanded, the completed project would look nice. We were not in any way under the impression that we would receive the best wood but we certainly didn't know we were getting utility grade or should I say pieces that should be in a landfill somewhere until we finally went through 3 bundles and found very very very little that was usable. And I'm not a picky person!
Then we saw on the back was stamped 3rd and 4ths. It was pitiful. I called and told the man I felt cheated to which he kept repeating over and over "I told you utility grade wasn't very good." But if someone asks for seconds how can he not tell us the difference between seconds and utility grade because there is a huge difference!!! He said "I tried to tell you" but never once in the store did he state the difference. We thought we were buying seconds and he must have heard utility I guess.
Although he did tell us the difference when I called back angry as all get out. He did hold his tongue which I do have to say I probably wouldn't have done as well but his attitude was an "I told you so and just what do you think I should do. I can't do anymore than 10 cents cheaper than what you paid." You know all I guess I wanted was someone who when asked, would take the time to maybe bring a piece out and say "hey this is seconds and this is utility" before the purchase and not after the purchase! I'm done... I will go back to Home Depot where I belong.

Michelle, (customer service rep at Lumber Liquidators) I was present - at home - on day 1 when your installers showed up! I was here all day, I was working from my home office. The installers spent most of the day prepping the floor and steps. Later in the afternoon, 1 of the installers started on the steps. I Told him that did not look right and he kept on working. As you can see in the pictures they only did a couple steps. On day 2 my wife was home when the installers arrived. She told them do not do any more on the steps, as it was the wrong wood and they tried to tell her that is the way it's done nowadays - as if we came from the stone age?? So the installers moved to the bath and bedroom and started in the closet. Using my wood I had left over from doing the other part of our house. So things were matching at that point using my wood.
Then the installers started using Lumber Liquidators' WRONG wood. My wife call me and said the Lumber Liquidators' wood is terribly wrong and the wood doesn't come close to what we picked out. Your Installers gave us the same song and dance story that wood will vary - blah blah blah. We told them the wood is not what we picked out and no need to come back till the correct wood is delivered. They agreed and have not heard from them since. This is totally a botched job from Lumber Liquidators, and we want it corrected.
We have a family member's wedding coming up in October, which was the reason we chose Lumber Liquidators to work with us getting the wood floors in. This has been a nightmare! So your email you sent today is completely WRONG and we want our money returned and we have another wood floor provider that will do what we ask and in a timely manner. PS: Now the wedding is over - Lumber Liquidators was the talk of the wedding party as I told all guests "Look what Lumber Liquidators can do for YOU!"

I bought Acacia hardwood floor from Lumber Liquidators more than a year ago and also asked it to be installed by their professional installers. Since I was investing lot of money, I wanted to do it right way. Right after installation there was lot of squeaky noise and lot of gaps. I told installer and he told me that it will go away with time i.e., expand and contrast of wood because of climate. As time went by, it became worst both gaps and squeaky noise. I contacted Customer Care at Home Service Store. They had installer come back. Installer checked and tried to fix it using wood filler for gap and nail gun for squeaky noise. Both looks bad, wood filler started showing dust on top of it and nail gun holes, looked ugly on smooth floor. After sometime, squeaky noise and gaps started showing at many other places. This time we agreed to have an inspector come over.
Inspector came over and I showed him the gaps and squeaky noise. I made sure to invest enough time before inspector shows up so that I don't miss anything. Gaps were so big that I could fold papers 3 or 4 times and was able to insert it in gaps. I did it for at least 50 places so that Inspector gets an idea of gaps. I showed him all the gaps and squeaky noise but after a week, when I got the call from Home Service saying that inspector reports says that there are some places where nails are missing and that would solve squeaky noise. And when I asked about gaps, she said inspector didn't put anything on gaps. I said that can't be true, I have showed him lot of gaps. So I felt like they are trying to hide something.
Then customer care called. Inspected again and then she says "yes now I see gaps related issue as well" and as per inspector gaps are because of the moisture and steam mop which we used like every 2 weeks to keep floor clean. So they asked me to stop using mop but it didn't help gap. It's more than 9 month after that, gaps are still there and wood squeaks at many other places. Installer came and replaced part of the floor and tried everything. We still have gaps and it makes squeaky noise. It is so frustrating that even after doing everything right from my end, I still have to go through all this. Now I have decided to go with an independent Wood Inspector to come down and let me know what's the exact issue. I am sure, it is either installation issue or something wrong with wood.

I have been a loyal DIY customer with Lumber Liquidators for the past 20 years or so. Unfortunately that has changed with my most recent purchase and I will no longer use them in the future. Everything started off great in that I had a great salesperson that went out of his way to get me a product sample, follow-up on my purchase decision and even get a .30 cent discount per sq. ft. for my purchase. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that.
I ordered 56 boxes of Casa de Color Espresso Oak 3/4" x 5" made by Builder's Pride and have experienced the most horrible quality control with a pre-finished wood floor of any install that I have made. The boxes of flooring consistently have 50% of the boards with one or more of the following problems: (1) split and/or missing tongues, (2) split and/or damaged grooves, (3) knot holes that result in missing and/or damaged surface finish, (4) random mars and/or gauges on the finish, (5) missing stain on the edges/bevels of the face, (6) powder post beetle holes that go completely through the planks and finish, (7) missing bevels/edges on the wood.
Initially, I was very pleased with how the problem was being handled in that the local store replaced my entire order after I showed them the problems that I mentioned above. However, the second order was no better and I still have 50% of the boards in boxes that have a defect. Based upon the commitment from my local salesperson, I agreed to "cherry pick" the best boards out of each box and they would swap out the defective boards that I brought back. I even went to great lengths to accept boards that were cosmetically defective and would use a colored pencil and/or wood putty to fill in damage and blemishes. After installing about 1/3 of the product, I attempted to bring back 11 boxes (out of the 56) and was told they did not have any of the floor and I needed to go through "Corporate".
After contacting Corporate I was told I needed to file a warranty claim and was emailed paperwork that I needed to fill out and a representative was assigned to my case. The representative then told me this process was lengthy and based upon the product being defective before install it needed to be handled by the local store. She then contacted the store to let them know what needed to be done. The store emailed me later in the day saying that they had the product and to come by and swap it out.
The next day I went to the store and after explaining my problems for the 5th time they finally agreed to the swap. I also asked to speak to a manager about possibly getting a discount for the issues with the product as it was clear I had been given a 2nd or 3rd rate inferior product and one with powder post beetles to boot. Both the salesperson and the store manager mentioned that they would likely put the product out on their sidewalk for drastic clearance/sale so I had brought up a 20% discount as fair for the sheer effort it was taking to go through all the boards and to "fix" them with colored pencils and wood putty.
Unfortunately, the manager referred me again back to "Corporate" because his store did not have any money to give. I could not quite understand that since I had paid with a credit card and it would have made sense to just issue a credit for $1200. He was nice enough to offer me a $10 floor cleaning kit which I promptly turned down. I did try to buy some spline/slip tongues but alas they did not have any in-stock!
I will certainly be escalating my case/situation to the Lumber Liquidators Corporate offices but I do not have any hope that they are going to help based upon my experience thus far. I wanted to share my experience in hope that it helps someone else avoid the hassle I have went through. To be fair, the store manager offered me a full refund for the product that I had not yet installed but with 1/3 already installed it would not make sense to have two different products side-by-side.
I was trying to be a good customer and work with the product and a commitment that had been. Lumber Liquidators really should empower the local store to handle these issues at the lowest level of the organization instead of bouncing the customer off to "Corporate". At Lumber Liquidators, the customer no longer has any type of advocacy once a purchase is made so caveat emptor - please make sure you know what you are getting into when buying from them. Good luck.

The people I dealt with at Lumber Liquidators were helpful and did everything they needed to do. The sales rep was knowledgeable. However, my husband wanted to go to their store and look at what they had to offer. We purchased Southern Yellow Pine flooring. It's was less expensive. Also, we had to have the floor down so that my mother could move in. Since we were in a time constraint, I thought we could pick up the product easily because it's right in our area. However, we thought it was gonna be ten inches on the face of the Yellow Pine, but it wasn’t. It was eight and three quarters. My husband wanted long pieces and was told that's what we'll get. There were a lot of small pieces. It was like a big puzzle piece. My husband was very particular about it and it wasn't what he wanted. We were unhappy with the product.

Scheduling was for Saturday between 8am and 10. At 10, we get a call stating the floors will not be installed because the crew had an accident. I do hope they are OK, but I removed substantial amount of furniture with the help of friends and family, that had to be put back into the house until the floors could be installed. I am disappointed that there was no compensation offered for my inconvenience and I am expected to do this all over again. We were very disappointed because we saved and prepared for our new floors and just have to wait another week. My payment is due before the floor goes in!

I love the commercial grade laminate flooring I got from Lumber Liquidators. It's Boardwalk Oak so it's supposed to look like old wharf boards and they tended to look pink in the showroom but I like it much better when it was installed in the house. I raise Tibetan Mastiff dogs so I have dogs that are all way over 150 pounds so the flooring is a little slippery for them but aside from that, they can't scratch the flooring. I had tried three other different kinds of flooring but the availability was so crappy that I couldn’t order them because of the fact that they would take longer than my construction job was going to take. Also, Lumber Liquidators didn't do the installation and the guys in the Pleasant Hill location weren't very helpful. But overall, the prices were good and I cut cost on the floor by square foot by a good amount.

I got my engineered hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators. Their reps were all very good and knowledgeable. The quality of the flooring has been fine so far and I'm happy with it. However, I did have one issue. The flooring was supposed to come in various lengths from 18 inches to 4 feet, and out of eight boxes of flooring, we had two pieces that were 4ft and had very few 3ft pieces. Everything was under that, so it made it difficult for my contractor laying the floor to make it look right. We had to open all eight boxes to find longer lengths, and because of that, I did not have anything to return because all boxes had to be opened. It was a little disheartening, but everything else was good. When I mentioned my issue to the team in Leesburg, they compensated me with a floor cleaning kit and said they would make notation that what's being put out was not as advertised as far as the length of wood. They listened and were helpful.

He ordered an EZ click bamboo flooring that was so hard to work with. I am so disappointed that the sales rep did not listen to us. Unfortunately, we could not return product once all the boxes were opened to allow flooring to acclimate. I did go back to speak with a sales rep who showed me how easy it was to click together. However, his demo pieces were only 6 inches long. The actual product is 6 foot long and needs 3 people and multiple attempts to EZ click together. I will never buy from Lumber Liquidators again and I've warned family and friends of my experience.

We needed to patch a small section of flooring for a remodel. My husband & I went in to the store and received good service. We took home a sample to match our existing floor's height and width. When I returned to get a bundle of flooring, I forgot the sample, but the store manager was very helpful. My husband went by the next day to purchase the flooring, and the man who was at the store was quite rude to him, telling him he'd have to wait at least 45 minutes to be helped. The following day (two days after I'd been there, speaking with the manager), I went in and was able to place the order with a lovely young lady.
Apparently, the man from the previous evening was there, because when she asked him to bring out the single bundle of flooring to my car, I overheard him making rude remarks about my husband/myself. When he brought the bundle out to my car, he was very rude to me, and put it halfway into my car before declaring that it wouldn't fit, and returning inside, leaving me to fit it in. [It did fit, but I had to move the passenger seat forward first, and then move the bundle myself - at seven months pregnant.]
All in all, we're pleased with the flooring, as it was affordable and fit our needs (we had to patch in ~10 sq ft before repainting an old wood floor) and most of the service, but this single employee was rude, and reflects poorly on Lumber Liquidators. First nobody answers the phone and when I leave a message nobody calls back. When I do talk to them they advise they will find out and call me back but nobody ever calls back. This review is based on the engineered Acacia flooring as I have purchased it from both Lumber Liquidators and Lowe's. I did think there would be a big difference but boy was I wrong.
If I would rate each product I would give Lowe's a 9 and Lumber Liquidators a 3. The flooring from Lowe's has a much more durable finish and has a lot of wax between the joints to stop cracking noises as you walk. The product from Lumber Liquidators is exactly the opposite in those two areas. The flooring scratches easily and makes a lot of noise as you walk around. Outside of that they are really close to the same flooring. My advice would be to go to Lowe's as the product and customer service is much better than what I found at Lumber Liquidators.

Simply the floors were manufactured terribly. Finishing coming off, creaking floors and warping. I installed my floors at the end of July. During installation I had multiple boards that were burnt or overheated during manufacturing. Several backings on the boards not bonded to the back or loose. Several warped boards. I was in a situation where I had to get floors installed to close on my house. There was about 7 boxes that could not be used. Now after about 2 months of being installed, the floors creak all over the house. The finish is coming off. The floor scratches very easily. These are by far the worst floors.
I had laminates in my other house that I sold that were 10 years old that were better than these. I have out down floors in 4 other house from Lowe's and never had any of these issues. The floor are not durable at all. Future buyers please do your research prior to purchase. This was one of the worst mistakes I ever made. I read many bad reviews and was really on the fence to purchase these floors. When I mentioned it to the sales person at Lumber Liquidators, they assured me that was the old floors involved in the lawsuit and that the quality had improve 100%. That is not the case. This all started a year ago when my husband and I bought our house. We needed to fit into a certain budget as we have to remodel the entire house. Our first experience was fairly good. The people seemed friendly and knowledgeable about the product. My husband asked about the underlayment, if we had to buy new or if we could use the old (it was less then 5 yrs old) as this would save us a lot of money! The guy we worked with said as long as it was the right kind of underlayment we would be good to go and it wouldn't void any warranty. We went ahead and purchased the bamboo and had them hold it for about a month.
When we picked up the flooring they told us to let it sit inside the room where it was going to be installed for upwards of two weeks. They then proceeded to tell us that "well sir you need to buy this certain top quality underlayment or your warranty will be void!" So my husband said "I thought you said our other underlayment would be ok" and the guy says "oh no you have to buy new". (This was the same guy that we originally asked about the underlayment.)
So we buy the expensive underlayment which put us way over our budget. We buy the same amount of underlayment as we did flooring, upon install we find that there isn't enough so I head back to the store to buy more where the two guys try telling me that "no maam you don't need anymore. That should be plenty." Umm excuse me but pretty sure when it's all rolled out and we still have an empty section and a hallway that needs flooring then it's not plenty. They both sat and argued with me about it before me finally telling them just sell me more underlayment so I can get home to let our installers finish that day as we only had them for one day! I buy three extra rolls (I know I might only need two but don't want to have to run to the store again that day).
We install the product. IT DOES NOT MATCH THE SAMPLE PRODUCT!!! I go to the store and have my cousin try to pick out which is ours... He can't find our floor in their sample pieces. That's because our floor doesn't match the sample piece! I point out which one is ours and he goes "no way that's grey and your floor is a red brown!" Ya tell me about it! I make a comment to the guys (The same one we have dealt with the entire transaction) and they tell me "oh no it's just the stores lighting compared to my homes lighting..." Ok what kind of lights do you have that make a red floor look grey??? We go home and finish the install.
We ended up with one extra roll so I brought it back to the store and one of the guys that was arguing with me before made a remark like "ha she brought it back huh. I told her she didn't need that much!" Can we just pause for a minute and say umm excuse me but that is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with! Oh not just kidding. Their corporate people are even worse!
Fast forward to one year later and our floor looks absolutely terrible. It is falling apart so I call and put in a claim. I'm told I will get a return phone call within 24 hrs. One or two weeks later I decide to give them another call to see why I haven't heard from Cherisse yet. I get sent to voice mail. No return call. One week later I call again. Cherisse is out to lunch again. I leave a message. No return phone call. Another week passes I call yet again. Front desk supposedly sent her an email saying call client back. No return phone call.
Finally I get a letter in the mail saying my claim has been denied because it's something we are doing not the product... Ex. My vacuum's beater brush is probably to blame. I don't have a vacuum with a beater brush. So I call to speak to this awesome lady Cherisse. She doesn't answer. An email was sent to return my call. No call back.
Three days later... I call again asking for management. Suddenly Cherrise is available!!! She says it's probably due to humidity. Umm pretty sure our house is neither super humid nor is it super dry and it's always acclimated around 72 degrees. And if this is the case then don't sell the product at your local store! So then she starts saying if the flooring was getting ruined in spots that we never walked we would see the little chunks still sitting by the "checks". Umm no maam I use my hard wood floor vacuum that is soft bristled and vacuum every day. I have three little kids. Nothing sits in one spot forever untouched.
I ask for management. "They are busy at the moment. They will call you back." NO CALL BACK! I call later that day asking for management again. They are in a meeting. No Call back. Next day I call again. Ask for a manager. They are on the phone with another client. How convenient! I tell the front desk lady that this is ridiculous. I have called multiple times they better call back this time!
2 hours later I FINALLY GET A RETURNED PHONE CALL! YAY!!! Just kidding. The manager Reginald is just as rude and unhelpful as Cherrise! He starts off by recalling a picture that shows me pointing to some damage. Makes a rude comment about my "manicured finger nails". Umm excuse me I do not have a manicure. Then he goes on to say all he can give me is 200 dollar credit to get filler and cover marker to fix the flooring. Further into the conversation he says "ok all I can do is 500 dollar credit but that's it. Take it or leave it." That's funny cause didn't he just say all he can do is 200??? Funny kinda seems like he could be a cars sales man! We Finally bring the conversation to a close and I tell him about the local store and he says "ok I will send an email". Wow scary. An email that's really gonna get those guys to straighten up I'm sure!
Long story short don't buy from these guys. They are seriously the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with and my husband is considering driving to another city to use the credit because he dislikes the local store SO SO SO much! So ya we got a 500 dollar credit. How much did we spend to begin with. Oh ya well over 2000.00! But he was being "generous"! This company is a joke! Lowe's and Home Depot have better customer service than these people!

Made a huge (to us) purchase of product and installation provided by LL. Bamboo product was acclimated per their instructions and then installed by LL's installers or company they partner with. Bamboo flooring started separating within 3 weeks of installation. Salesperson scoffed at estimator's comments on needing a humidifier. Now we can only get a warranty repair of the flooring if we get a whole house humidifier. Additional cost of a humidifier, installation, running it all of the time with AC or heat to control the temp defeats the purpose of the savings of bamboo over traditional hardwoods. I understand it is in the fine print and we shouldn't have trusted the guy in the showroom. Why live in the foothills when you have to close up your windows and not be able to get fresh air because you have to run a whole house humidifier to protect the floor?

Mark was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product, which helped us make an educated decision prior to purchase, (we went with wood-look tile in the bathroom and in front of the fireplace and vinyl planking everywhere else). After we ordered, our product arrived on time and all the tile was intact. The new flooring totally transformed the look of our home! We love it!

We were doing a total renovation and we bought solid oak wood flooring from Lumber Liquidators. We headed down there a number of times looking for something that was in our price range 'cause they often had to close out some stuff. We didn't waste anything. We went back with a guy and he showed us some stuff that were ordered, but weren't normally stocked. It was the shorter pieces, but it was cheaper for that reason. We liked that and he said he could get it but would have to order more. He ordered the quantity that we asked for and the following weekend, we picked it up.
The flooring was not top-grade but we were okay with that based on the really good price. We knew that we'd have a certain number of ways to put the flooring and be usable. This was an unfinished flooring so we stained and sanded it. It needed a couple of work, but overall, we're happy with it. We look forward to the way it looks and its durability. We did part of the installation ourselves which was relatively easy but it was mostly done by a contractor. We may end up having to buy more of it because we got the top floor done and we got some leftover, but they may not be sufficient to do the bottom floor which is smaller. We may not be able to get the same really good price for that, though, because we won't be buying as much.
Rascoe Family,
Thank you for choosing Lumber Liquidators for your flooring project. We are thrilled you were able to find a product that fit the need for the renovation in your home. Very bad experience. I ordered Hickory wood for my home upstairs area including stairs. And I got delivery for Maple. Then we called customer care and they were wanting us to pay extra but on order it was already hickory and that's what we were given quote and that's what we paid. After so many calls/hrs we were so frustrated and asked them to refund us and give us our money back. They finally said they will replace it.
Now today I got delivery and they just sent me Floor material for hickory but nothing for stairs. I told them these stairs are standard stairs with standard width, length. Not custom stairs but they were like they can't replace it/refund us because they were customer. Well on the staircase box itself it shows it's standard dimension stair and they are lying that it's custom. It's standard stair. They are giving us so hard time not giving us what we paid and this is ridiculous. If I don't get replacement/refund, I will continue to write this review everywhere possible to save others from being trapped with them. I am calling customer care again today but I am sure nothing is going to change. I wish to get better service if I paid so much.
Thank you for letting us know there's been a few challenges with the order. We'll make it right and there's no need for you to call Customer Care because I'm going to have a team member reach out to you first to make this right!

We're doing major construction work on a place we had just taken possession of, and the person who did the installation was very efficient and got it done in two days. We recently purchased 900 square feet of laminate here. After realizing we were unable to fit it all in our garage we took half of it back, and they kindly assured us to come by anytime in the future and they would have it for me to pick up. While we did wait 4 weeks to come back (no one ever mentioned that would be an issue, we even stated it would be more than 2 weeks) but when we returned they had already sold the laminate we had on hold and closed out our purchase. They no longer stocked the laminate we ordered putting us into a position where we had to spend double the price for the same looking laminate at a higher grade. We now are installing two types of laminate because they won't let us return the "older laminate."
To make matters worse the man who helped us with our order the first time said we could come in at any time to get our transitions. Lo and behold we go to pick them up with our last bit of laminate (that they sold to someone else) and the transitions won't be in for 3 weeks unless we pay extra to have them expedited to our house. Having worked in customer service for many years we would have at least appreciated a call before they sold our laminate to someone else. We would have immediately picked it up had we been told the circumstances instead of being told we could leave it there for a few weeks.
The laminate has not installed yet, because we don't have our stair transitions, so I can't review the actual product but I can say the customer service and the employees ability to communicate proper instructions have ensured we won't be coming back anytime soon. What started out as a great experience with Lumber Liquidators quickly turned bad... and expensive.
UPDATED ON 10/25/2016: I just got off the phone with someone from the corporate department at Lumber Liquidators. Boy oh boy where do I start. As a person who has a degree in public relations, I was dumbfounded by this man's lack of tact and professionalism. Regardless of if the consumer is right or wrong, the first thing a company should do (especially at the corporate level) is apologize for any negative experience they may have had and strive to make it right. He did none of that, instead kept reiterating that they needed all the facts before moving forward and that there was no record of me ordering 900 square feet of product. He was completely on the defensive, never apologizing or trying to make me feel better.
He even went as far to tell me "my computer supersedes their computer," when I told him they (Salt Lake city store) did say there was a record of my order. My last question was "Sir, what is the purpose of this phone call?" Side note, I'm so glad I recorded this because it was so long winded there would have been little chance of remembering this. Enjoy.
"The purpose of this call was to see what we could do in regards to your product, have an exchange of concise and accurate information, and utilize effective listening, and using an appropriate tone in a professional manner. If we have to take ownership that is fine BUT my job is to be a consumer before I'm an employee, (What?) to reach out to customers and be reasonable and speak to them as they are. If there is a fault it's not my job to determine where that fault lies, but to address that internally, and determine what the resolution is going to be and what the ownership is going to be by both parties. You went on social media and made a post and my job is to call you and have it removed."
When I told him I wanted to try and summarize his long-winded response he hung up on me. This is no longer about the 300 dollars I lost but treating your customers with the respect they deserve. I spent over 1,500 dollars here and would have spent much more in the future had this experience been more pleasant. I really hope this was not Lumber Liquidators's "A" team, because his attempt at resolving this was truly pathetic. Come on guys, is that all you've got?

However, when we had the installer come here to measure, we talked with him for quite a while and he gave us the impression that a whole team would be here to install and it would take one day. Well, one room was done on a Thursday, the other on a Friday and then finished up and did the other room on Monday. They did a beautiful job but I was not prepared for three days including a weekend. I was very disappointed with that.
Also, on our bill, they charged us for six big cans of the glue but they only used four. We were told we would be getting two five gallons of buckets of credit, which comes to over $500. When I was in Lumber Liquidators, I picked out what I thought was hardwood when in fact it was engineered wood. The seller didn't help us at all but I went ahead and ordered it. Moreover, the delivery was not easy at all. I called them several times because they were supposed to call to deliver it and nobody knew what was going on and they kept saying they'd call me back and they never did. When they delivered it, I did not realize that they were going to leave it outside in the driveway. I was told that they should get a white glove if I want it brought in the door and I didn't know anything about that, so that was shock because they wanted another $55. I live in a ranch and I was not happy about that at all. They need to work on communication with the customers especially in the field of delivery.
I ordered 25 boxes of flooring on sale and I asked the guy who checked me out if I can order another box if it's not enough and I asked how long would the sale be. He said the sale would be another week but they could honor that sale for me if I just need another box. So now, I have to go down and get another but I have a feeling I'm not going to get it on sale.
Other than that, the flooring was installed the other day. I hired someone I know to install it and they did a nice job. He was pleased with the quality of the floors, so that's a good sign. It's attractive and it's easy to clean. It was a good price for the quality but I would probably never go back there again because I want more of a reliable customer service part. I'm a single female, 55 years old and I need someone to at least get the boxes inside the door for me. I'm satisfied with the floor but I'm not satisfied with the customer service.

My husband and I remodeled a house and made three purchases of a bamboo wood from Lumber Liquidators. Within a week of having them installed they began scratching EVERYWHERE. Anything and everything that you can imagine would scratch them... some of the scratches being major. Within a month of having them they started buckling in several places. We had to purchase more wood to have fixed and spent a small fortune. Within just a few more weeks the floors began buckling in other rooms.
With the second round of buckling my wife and I called and e-mailed customer service. My wife patiently followed all directions and was told that she would have someone contact her within 24 hours. One week later she sent two emails and began calling and leaving voice mails. After basically threatening to speak to someone she got a hold of a representative who basically said that scratching and buckling is not under warranty. My wife asked how a store could knowingly sell such a low grade product and not try to help the customer when their ENTIRE house is covered in this product.
The lady helping us said that she was going to do an "investigation" but accidentally slipped up saying that she was going to send paperwork that they were not going to do anything because it is not under warranty. I went online and read the reviews about this. There were so many people in the same situation. Lumber Liquidators says they will investigate and then just send paperwork that they are not at fault. These floors are absolute garbage. No floor should scratch so easily. I by no means will be giving up on this issue. I refuse to let Lumber Liquidators take advantage of the average person. We are completely moved into our house and we have three young children. Our entire house is buckling and we are trying to figure out what to do with this nightmare. I hold Lumber Liquidators responsible 100%. Do not walk away, RUN!!!

When we told them about it, they didn't put in the product to cover the gaps. Instead, they left that to us (I didn't realize that was my job). There were also comments that they made about the product we bought, saying that it was a difficult product to work with. If that is so, then why sell it in the first place? When they left, the work wasn't finished, they left their trash on our driveway, and they did not tell us when they would be coming back. They came about five days after. I was looking for comfort, durability, usability, and a nice selection of flooring, and got some carpet and African wood flooring from Lumber Liquidators. I bought the Bellawood underlayment as well. Their sales staff was good and helpful, and suggested the redwood pallets. It's only been five days after installation and so far, the flooring is good. Their website is also good. It gives enough details. The pictures and the installation process dates are good too. I never had an issue with Lumber Liquidators, but I had one with the carriers. Not only me, my other friend also bought the same wood from Lumber Liquidators. They send through R&L Carriers but they're not so professional and friendly.

Everybody from Lumber Liquidators was great. I bought two boxes too many, they took it back, gave me credit, thanked me, and were more than polite. One box that came in looked like a piece was damaged. I didn't need them, but the girl there said she was going to give me an extra part in case I ran into a problem, and it couldn't have been any nicer. In their website, I could pick out and show them different colors. I went by their bamboo and then it matched up. The colors were pretty accurate compared to the actual colors at store, and it was helpful. The bamboo flooring has been down for a week and it looks great. I have no problem whatsoever.

I had Lumber Liquidators to my home five times to repair the floor, and the most recent time they installed 3 boxes of unacclimated wood, and do not wish to extend the warranty for the same 12 months that the original flooring was. Lumber liquidators may wish to stop sending me opportunities to vent about their service, and just honor the warranty for 12 months from the date of installing unacclimated wood.

I found that the floors were relatively easy to install once you worked through the first few boards. I glued the 3/8 bamboo board directly to the floor and this worked well with one exception. I purchased a less expensive brand of flooring and they did not always fit the way they were intended to as the dimensions were off. This caused a rise in the floor where they butted together. ** customer number ** is in the business of flipping homes. We do about one property per month and even though we've been in business in Las Vegas for more than a year we had never purchased from Lumber Liquidators before. We're always under the pressure of getting things done on time. Sometimes that's even greater when the home is sold before we are finished remodeling and we have a due for home inspection. That was the case with this order. We got the floor, got a date for pick up, I called to confirm twice, I even did that the morning I was supposed to pick up and I was told by the manager at the Henderson store that the truck had come in with my floor. I hired a truck to pick it up.
I had the installer and an assistant ready and when we got to the store they told us it hadn't been loaded to the delivery truck and we would have to wait one week. One week later we went back to get the floor and they loaded our truck with the wrong floor. When we got the house we realized it was the wrong floor and have to come back to the store for the right one. I ended up paying for all those wasted hours and trips, asked for some kind of compensation and only got $100 back. I purchase a good product in it at a good price but ended up paying a lot of extras and almost lost the sale of the home. We're currently working on another project and got the floor from another vendor.
James the salesman at the Las Vegas office was helpful and courteous but the manager and staff at the Henderson Store where we picked up the merchandise was not. One of the employees banged my contractors truck tailgate with the forklift and refused to take responsibility. The manager was unapologetic and borderline rude to us. When we came back to return the floor that was not correctly loaded into our truck we had to unload it ourselves and load the right floor ourselves because the manager refused to help us with that. That was just the beginning of the problems. Those measurements were then transferred to the correct co. The work team arrived to tell me I would have to drive to Leesburg store to get another roll of the subfloor and molding. I did this. They then said they had no wood for the 1 step. That was at the Greenbelt, MD. warehouse! The manager there said he would bring it. Said he left at 2:30 p.m. He didn't arrive until 4:45 p.m. It's 32 miles and takes 58 minutes according to MapQuest. The work team was finished at 2:30 p.m. and had to wait 2 hours to do the step when the wood arrived.
Meanwhile, they said they could not replace the toilet. The screws were too short. They could have used the 2 hours to go 5 minutes to Home Depot to get the screws. They did not do this. Told me to call a plumber. I teach on that level and had to have the toilet put back. The plumber came for another $158.00. The step got done at 6:30 p.m. There are chips of the wood standing up. Another place where the wood does not come together smoothly and one board is higher. I then had to drive back to Leesburg, 15 miles from my house to return the unused, not needed extra roll of the subfloor they told me to get and then did not need! That was the only way to get my $95 refund. No offer on their part for THEIR mistake to do this. We used the floors we purchased from Lumber Liquidators in a piece of rental property. They seem to be of pretty good quality and I dealt with two different sales reps who were very polite and informative. We bought the flooring on sale, it was a discontinued line and we got a very good price on it. My son-in-law and I put it in and it was easy.

I'm a general contractor and Lumber Liquidators is usually the first place I go whenever I have some wood flooring that I need to get. I have used them three times for my own personal home in the past and have also used them twice for others like for a construction renovation project I had. A week and a half ago, I purchased a wood flooring from them and the sales reps were very, very helpful in helping find the product and called me to update on its arrival. It was a very, very good experience. We installed the flooring and it looks great.

We were able to take in a sample from Lumber Liquidators and everybody we worked with was extremely nice. They were able to identify the type of wood flooring almost immediately, which was awesome and got it ordered. The guy that loaded the flooring was super nice. So, we've had a great experience. We haven't installed it yet, but we're excited to try out the bamboo flooring and to test out its durability.

We are very pleased with our new bamboo floor! Price, quality, installation were all super. Mark, the store manager in Ocean, NJ, couldn't have been more knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us in making a very satisfying and beautiful decision.

I have a new home that came with carpet and I purchased hardwood from Lumber Liquidators. I chose it because it was good quality and I wanted to have some nice quality floors. They were also offered at a fair price. The sales rep was great but their installers charge too high. I hired a contractor to install the flooring and they're working on it now.
