I was initially looking to buy native hardwood for my flooring needs e.g. Oak, Hickory, Ash, Walnut. When shopping, the native woods were out of my price range. Since I wanted to install my own floor the cost of install was not figured and I would be able to afford more. LL's had a Brazilian Walnut on sale for $4.99/sqft. I knew that Brazilian Walnut, aka ipe is a super hard, insect resistant, waterproof, and a very dense imported wood that is sometimes harvested illegally. I did some research and LL's product was not purchased from illegal harvesting.
I purchased 1,800/sqft (waste was figured in) and was very surprised of the milling. Every single piece was milled Straight and true. I didn't have to come back and fill gaps with putty and every single piece slid very well across floor saving time racking the floor. I am very happy on how my floor came out. The craftsmanship is mine and the floor is 3/4" super hardwood. The planks I purchased are 3 1/4" wide which was perfect to make thresholds out of saving me over $300 total for five thresholds. Once my children get older and more responsible I'll continue their three bedrooms and two bathrooms with the same flooring. I feel I got a great product at a great price as I purchased my flooring on sale.

Our floors were outdated and we had replaced the walls in our house that left huge gaps in the flooring so, we decided to go ahead and got a bamboo engineered floor from Lumber Liquidators. We bought everything online and we had our flooring installer take care of everything else. We love the quality. Overall, our experience with Lumber Liquidators was straightforward, easy, and no hassle.

I took in a floor sample to match. Allowed store manager to find a fit, i.e. color and thickness. Terrible match. Inferior quality. Color value is off considerably. Quality of item is poor. It's like someone 'printed' the pattern. Terrible product. Will not shop here again. Nothing cheap about the cost. The product not worth the price.

We ordered 660 sq ft of hardwood flooring, 7 rolls of underlayment and 200 ft of QR molding. Our order was promised to be delivered between 9am-12:30pm on the 5th day after purchase. We had contractors on site with the anticipation of having these materials. They did not show up on time and in fact were 2 hours late causing problems with our installers. Additionally the moldings were not delivered, when I called and asked I was told they were back ordered. There was no mention of this at time of purchase and nobody reached out to inform us of this. When the molding were available a couple days later I was asked to come and pick them up despite paying for shipping. I was told there was only 1 person at the store and nobody was available for to deliver it. We are very unhappy with this situation.

Love the Morningstar HD stranded Bamboo flooring! Attempted to purchase online, price was $2.59 sq.ft., put quantity in the shopping cart and my cart reflected a price of $2.79 sq.ft. Had to call and talk to a CS agent, who needed approval from a manager (who was not there) to give the lower price. I have never experienced a price switch when purchasing online, it was frustrating to have to call and argue with someone over it. Other than that, I have had good experiences in purchasing from Lumber Liquidators.

3 1/4 inch select red Oak - I came into the store on August 28 and purchased 74 ft.² of red Oak select flooring. I brought an actual piece of the existing flooring in with me and the sales person told me it was definitely 100% select red Oak. So I purchased it. Only to find out when my floor guy came in and went to scrape the floors that it was in fact select White Oak. Unfortunately the floor was already installed and could not be returned. When trying to locate their correct flooring Lumber Liquidators had none of the flooring that I needed in stock at any of the local locations. I ended up having to purchase it from another dealer paying twice the amount I should've paid when the original sales person sold me the wrong product. I will not be shopping at Lumber Liquidators again if nothing is done to rectify this problem. Not only did I pay twice for material I ended up doing twice the labor.

The product red oak was lovely and I am pleased with the appearance... It has been 3 weeks and the smell from the pre-processed polyurethane disappeared... It took several weeks with windows wide open for more than 2 weeks. However, my only dissatisfaction is with the very high delivery charge of $340 to bring the wood into my condo and put on the floor... Also, they sent only ONE person!!! After I had 2 boxes of wood left over, I did not open all 27 boxes, and when I called for them to pick up the excess they wanted to charge me again!!! I really had an issue with the first charge but the second is I felt reportable to the Better Business Bureau as an price gouging...

I originally purchased solid hardwood from LL because I was assured it would be ok to glue directly down to my concrete subfloor. This was confirmed by their corporate installers hotline. After I had the wood delivered I started going out for bids and was told by every contractor that solid hardwood was a mistake and it would surely buckle within a couple years of installation because of moisture. After much back and forth, the store did end up exchanging the hardwood for engineered, and they helped me out on price considering the shipping costs I had to eat. Overall my experience was ok, but I felt like they would have sold me anything without truly understanding my circumstances. My advice: be prepared with the pros/cons of different materials in your home. You will need to be very knowledgeable in order to avoid headaches later on. I suggest speaking with contractors first, then going to LL.

Great experience from the moment I walked in. My saleswoman, Courtney, was very helpful and made the whole process very easy for me. I picked my flooring and she did the rest. The product was delivered on time. I had it installed by my contractor and the floors look excellent. Couldn't be happier with the service and products I received from Lumber Liquidators. Oh, did I mention that I got a great deal? I did. Caught the tail end of a sale and paid less than $2.50 a square foot including premium underlayment and vapor barrier. Would, and have, recommended to my friends and family. My Aunt just bought new bamboo floors from the same store.

It took us about 5 trips to the store to finally settle on a floor. Each time, we were greeted by Don or Mike and knew who we were, what we looked at last time, and where to go from here. Super nice and knowledgeable staff and GREAT product! We bought a floor that wasn't too cheap and it worried us (buying without seeing it in the house yet as we were still in the purchasing stage) but once they were in, WOW. We are so in love with them and they look AMAZING and are super strong. We're going to be looking for more flooring in the near future and we won't be going anywhere else! Thank you guys!

I wanted to get rid of the carpet so I purchased bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators. I had to go to their store to give them a credit card. They wouldn't take the credit card over the phone for ordering and I've already ordered the same product from them. I encountered two different people because my guy didn't measure correctly, so I had to keep going in there to reorder. I already knew the product I wanted that was in other parts of my house and I wanted to finish the whole house. I like the quality and I've had it in some of my other rooms for three years and there are no scratches and I have a Doberman. However, I would like for them to have faster shipping and not have to pay for it. I had to pay for shipping on some nosing because they don't have the product in their store right now.

The finish on their flooring is not at all durable. I put their Hardwood flooring in my Kitchen, after it got wet for about a minute before I clean it up, the finish was splitting. I complained to NLL about this, they said I should not have put it in a Kitchen, their salesman knew where it was going. They also said the flooring had to be in a room with constant 30-50% humidity, average humidity in NJ is 65-70%, so no opening the windows. I was hoping for a Sealant to put down, but all I got was a rude Store Manager in Fairfield NJ and Customer Service which didn't help. Poor product and service.

I even called the headquarters to confirm I was doing the installation correctly. My floor has continued to shrink for over 2 years. I have replaced the end pieces 4 times now and had to buy more product. When I tell the service department what is going on they give me a blank look as if to say too bad. They are very nice when they are selling me more product. I will never use this company again.

I have shopped for several floor items related to my latest "flip" project, at the Scottsdale branch. I have had a very positive experience at this store in general, but in particular, I would like to highly praise Ben at this branch. He has been extremely helpful, and goes out of his way in order to please the customer, no matter what it is. Whether showing off the products available, products online, reviewing the orders, going to the back to look for products I needed, loading those products either on my car or my contractor's truck, Ben has always been there ready and very glad to help and serve. Can't find better words to praise Ben. If I need anything floor related, I feel very confident to just pick up my phone, call Ben, and be ready to go to the branch to pick up what I need, whether that same day or the next. Ben will call me to let me know.

I bought about 300 square feet of some white bamboo flooring for a couple of floors in a couple of my buildings. Then a couple of contractors that work for me installed the flooring which was great stuff. My residents love it.

We bought our flooring & glue etc from Lumber Liquidators. After 18 months the floors started to warp at the seams. They blamed the installer for using the wrong glue although THEY recommended & sold us the glue that was used and the installer came from THEIR approved list. Then they said the problem was moisture & THERE IS NO GUARANTEE AGAINST MOISTURE for their bamboo. Even though we had our slab tested & there is no moisture in the slab. They have basically said they won't even come & check it out so now after 3 years my floors are totally ruined and my only option is to hire an attorney. Also their recommended installer did a terrible job and we had to have them come back several times to try and correct things. All in all it was a very bad experience & I would never recommend them or use them again.

Even though Lumber Liquidators has quality flooring, great prices and knowledgeable employees, their return policy is horrible. Besides not being informed that they have a strict 30-day return limit, the employees are unable to make any exceptions for returning customers. Unfortunately I had a medical emergency in the middle of my flooring project and did not complete the installation in the allotted 30 days. However I did return to the store to purchase more flooring prior to my accident, indicating that I'd need different flooring for the bathroom, which they sold me stating "no problem returning non-wet area flooring" when my project was completed. So here I am with four (4) boxes of laminate flooring that I cannot use or return! Boo to Lumber Liquidators and their return policy!

Quality control concerns on this flooring. Many pieces were only 3 1/8 inches wide and not to the spec of 3 1/4. Unfortunately, didn't realize the 1/8 inch difference until some were nailed down and working on next row. Had to rip out. I took an extra unopened case back for credit along with a few pieces of the undersized wood to show the folks the problem and see if they would give me some help on the flooring lost. They were not helpful and told me I should have stopped the project and brought all the undersized back to the store. Not so easy when you have the contractor booked for time.

Your Senior Technical and Installation staff member - "Bob" is a priceless asset to you and to the consumer. I am a very accomplished "DIYer" and very familiar with most building trades, including hardwood floor installation. Bob handled my technical questions regarding a QC floating floor - and his guidance and 'how-to' methods allowed me to know that I would have, and INDEED now have, an absolutely spectacular NEW floor throughout my first floor of my home. Beyond pleased - ecstatic!!! He deserves more than simply my Kudos - he ought to be given a special Thank You for the level of service provided; with professionalism and joy.
At the onset of my purchase I asked the sales rep what percentage of the pieces within each box of Quick Clic would be smaller than the typical 4' lengths (as they are sold as random lengths). The sales rep did not know the answer - I am pleased to say that it was 'just right' - and that my install had a proper mix of varied lengths to enhance the final look of the floor. If you know the typical 'random lengths', this would be good information for your reps. Thank You.

I purchase about $4,000 worth of Bamboo Flooring from Lumber Liquidators. I purchased what they recommended to prevent any moisture issues, “Moisture Barrier Padding”. My house is a 45 year old house that is raised with a concrete floor. About 6 months after the installation of the floor the floor started to show signs of some of the boards shrinking. I contacted Lumber Liquidators concerning this issue. They sent their flooring person to come review the issues.
After I got the report back from Lumber Liquidators they stated because I installed it and did not have the concrete tested for moisture that is was my fault and they were not going to do anything about it. From what I know of wood when it gets wet it will swell NOT shrink or curl up. I could also understand if the entire floor was causing problems but it is not, it is just several board thru out the floor.
I have had a general contractor look at the flooring and he stated that the boards had not properly cured before they were boxed for sale. And the time that the floor was down (6 months when it started showing signs of issues) if there was a moisture problem the flooring should not have done what is done. I welcome the opportunity to speak to anyone concerning this issue, I do not intend to just let Lumber Liquidators blow me off like this. I am quite sure this is not the only complaint for this type of issue.

My bamboo floor had water damage due to rainwater coming in. So I bought a box of bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators. The salesman was really helpful and very good to work with. I wanted to try and match it up with the existing floor. The quality was fine, but it wasn't the same thickness as the original. It's a 16th of an inch thinner, so it does give a little lift because I had to fill in by the doorway. I installed it myself. I put the original floor in with my son, who does flooring. It was a small job to replace some of the existing flooring I had in there. The difference is, this is glued down, which makes it a lot easier for me. I've been shopping at Lumber Liquidators for many years. I've had all good experiences with them. I have my own flooring business and I purchase all kinds of flooring from them. I know exactly what I’m getting and I’ve been doing it for many years. So I go in there and get what I need and whoever is there always helps out. I pay, ask what I want, drive around the back, get loaded up, and go about my business. They have a big variety selection-wise, especially on oak flooring. My last purchase was three-quarter inch unfinished red oak that's about $1,000 worth of wood. There's not a lot of sellers who carry unfinished oak so I'm glad that they carry that. I used to get it from Home Depot but they discontinued it. Lumber Liquidators have been a lifesaver as far as getting that.
I used to build basketball gyms from the bottom up and I paint lines and mascots. I buy a lot of different transitions from Lumber Liquidators to match existing floors and stuff like T-moldings. Also, I would send customers there whenever they ask me and I tell them that Lumber Liquidators has a big selection so they should be able to find something there they like.

But my recent purchase is almost identical to it and it looks great.
The reps there were very helpful and their website has all the information. I pretty much researched it and knew what I wanted before I even went there. I just called and ordered it. And that was good because I don't live in the town that it’s in. I also knew how much they had on hand there and they didn't have that much. I was able to purchase it over the phone so that they wouldn’t sell out of it before I could go pick it up. That worked out well. Then I just hired someone to install the flooring. My experience overall has been very satisfactory, and my son bought their flooring from Lumber Liquidators too.

We purchased click together hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators. The salespeople were nice but they failed to tell me some things that were very important. We didn't know that what we had chosen were seconds. We didn't know this until we started putting it down, and we had so many bad cases. Some boxes were not even half usable. It was bad. We were told it was a close-out. A close-out and a second are two different things. A close-out means they're closing out that wood. They said they were sorry and that was it. They won't take it back. I already had some of it on the floor, so we weren't trying to bring it back. They should inform their customers if those are seconds and that they're going to have a lot of bad cases.
It's beautiful now, though, that it's down, but we threw away half of it. We installed it ourselves. We did three bedrooms and it took us a week and a half of constant work. Overall, my experience with Lumber Liquidators was not good. They were deceitful. They didn’t tell me all the information. I won't go back and buy from them again.

We purchased our bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators. Their products were priced reasonably and their reps were very courteous and answered all my questions. I was about to install the flooring myself but somebody else did it instead. The overall quality of the bamboo flooring that I got is good and everything went well. Lumber Liquidators went through the whole work and explained the process and how to use the flooring and get it into the house, and they told me what products I needed to lay the floor down. They were fantastic and excellent, and they touched base on everything. I shopped at a few places and in comparison, in terms of pricing, attention, and detail, Lumber Liquidators did things that made everything fine and made my life easier.

We visited the Scottsdale store first. We had a reasonably good (not exceptional) experience but wanted to look at two other stores. We did that and then we went to the South Phoenix location where employees were very helpful and we bought the flooring. At that time we were not sure about trim and stair nose so did not purchase any. After we got all trim measurements, we went back to Scottsdale. We were in the store 15 minutes before we even saw an employee. They were in the back room. We were the only customers. We ordered our trim, only to find out that the Scottsdale store had none and I would need to drive to both Peoria and South Phoenix to get 4 pieces of stair nose and one transition piece.
I was disappointed in this aspect. I asked the Scottsdale store to call the Peoria store and physically verify all four pieces. They said they would do so first thing in the morning. They did not. I called Scottsdale at 11:00 am. At which time they verified that Peoria did have the stock. The floor is beautiful - this is our second floor from LL. I think Scottsdale needs to improve customer service and I was disappointed that trim pieces are not readily available. That could certainly be improved.

I purchased 5 boxes of wood flooring, VM HS LF ENG Golden Acacia 1/2 x 5", SKU: 10037468 at approximately $140 per box. One of the boxes had shipping damages from a forklift on one side of the box. My first contact was with the local store. I returned to the store with the damaged pieces. The sales agent stated he could not replace the damaged pieces, he would need to sell me a full box and prorate the cost of the damaged pieces. I clearly stated that I did not need more wood than originally purchased, I needed the wood I purchased to be in acceptable condition. I felt he was rude and asked to talk with the corporate office. He provided the corporate customer service number and I called to speak with a corporate representative.
The corporate representative requested photos of the damaged wood. So I took a couple of photos and sent it to him. The customer representative also gave me a phone number to reach him. The corporate representative agreed to compensate a full box of wood as store credit. Within a few days, I received an email with the store credit. This allowed me to purchase a new box to replace the damaged wood flooring.

Then we were told to "take it up w/the corporate office" and get extended 20 yr written warranty from them. This was not acceptable to us & we again asked them to exchange our flooring w/50 yr warranty ON THE BOX. We were told no, they would not exchange our flooring - period.
We were then told we could bring the 36 boxes back to their store & they would deduct the shipping fees to return wood to China, plus they were going to charge us several hundred for delivering wrong wood to our house! Essentially, they were telling us not to expect much refund on the $1,000 deposit we gave them on 7/9/17. We told them no deal, we would contact 7 On Your Side & if this didn't work, then civil court & we couldn't wait to hear judge's response to 36 boxes of bamboo flooring being put into 30 yr warranty boxes when it was 50 yr warranty bamboo flooring.

He told us, if we had opened any of the boxes, he couldn't take them back?? We told him all we did is open one box, and never removed the flooring. Just seeing it was enough to know we wanted something different. He said there is nothing he could do if we had removed the plastic covering, he said he couldn't sell it like that??

CCP Click Ceramic Plank came out at Lumber Liquidators March 23rd and on the 24th I purchased it. Beautiful Port Haven Oak flooring. To have them install it cost more than the flooring and was told that experienced do-it-yourselfer could put these floors in... it's that easy. Within days of installation I noticed the ends were lifting and breaking off even in areas that I haven't walked on. The local branch requested that I send the pictures to corporate because it was a new product they wouldn't know what to do.
The corporate branch in Toano Virginia is a joke. After countless phone calls and emails they finally come back with that they couldn't help me so I requested someone to come out and look at them. They sent a third-party out and I was told it was due to installation. There wasn't enough expansion room around the perimeter of the rooms which clearly my pictures show otherwise. Under their own website it clearly states that with the new CCP flooring no expansion room is necessary.
They offered me $1,300 or a store credit which neither is satisfactory. This new product cost 3.69 square ft and I purchased 1000 sq ft. Looking over the reviews this seems to be a normal practice for this company. Sell the product then ignore the phone. I just bought this home and have spent months trying to get this resolved. My telephone number is ** for anyone else who is having similar problems on this new flooring. They insist they back up their product. All I'm asking is they prove it.

I had my carpet stairs replaced with hardwood. First, I went to the store on May 20, 2017, explained what I wanted, and set up to have someone come out to measure everything and provide an estimate. I was called very shortly afterward, and an appointment date and time were set up for May 24. 2017. The installer came on the 24th, and said his boss would call me either later that day or the next day with the quote. This installer did not ask about, or say anything about having raised stair noses when he was at my house on this occasion. I did not receive any communication until June 1, 2017, when I received a voicemail from Jason asking me if wanted to go over the quote I received. I called him back, and let him know I had not received anything, not a phone call, not an e-mail, and nothing in the mail.
I went to the store, I believe on June 3, spoke with Jason in person, and explained to him about the project. We discussed tile versus wood, and Jason said wood would be better because there were not stair noses available for tile (I believe he called his tile installer to confirm this). I brought in a piece of my current flooring, so we could try to find the best match. My girlfriend and I decided on the product (engineered Savannah Beech), and made the order. I told Jason we decided on white risers. We ordered the product, and Jason said some of the product was not in the store (I don’t remember if it was the stair noses or the wood) and would need to be shipped to the store. At no point did Jason explain anything about the noses needing to be raised above the rest of the flooring material.
I received a call on June 14, 2017, informing me all of the product had arrived, and it was ready to be picked up. I picked up the product on the 15th, and immediately brought it to my house to acclimate. I received a call on the 15th to set the installation, which we set up for the June 19, 2017, at approximately 8:30 am. The installer called at 9:18 am, then arrived at 9:48 am. At this point, the installer looked at all of the material, and did not mention that the stair noses would not be level with the rest of stairs. The installer removed the carpet, and installed the first stair, then let me know after the installation that stair nose was raised.
He stated it had to be this way because the stair nose was different material (I assume laminate as opposed to the engineered hardwood.) At this point, I did not know what to do. The installer said it had to be that way. Further, I could not walk on the stairs to see how it felt. The installer finished one set of stairs on the 19th, and came back on the morning of the 20th to finish the second. After he arrived, I called the store on the morning of the 20th, because I was not happy with the stairs at this point. I believe I spoke with Ben, as he said Jason was not working until Thursday (June 22). I explained the situation, and Ben looked into the order, and said at this point, there was not much that could be done, and that the raised stair noses were standard.
I called on the store on June 21, 2017, and asked to the lady who answered to leave a message for Jason to call me as soon as he got work on the 22nd. I called the store at 12:30 pm on the 22nd, as I had not received a call, and was told Jason was out of the store (I think I was told he went to the bank). Jason returned my call 3:38 pm. I explained to him the situation and my displeasure with the raised stair noses. I was not happy with the responses I was given. I said this was never explained to me in the store when I placed the order. Jason at first said that he did explain it and show it to me, then he said that he showed it to both my girlfriend and me, and then said that he remembered showing to my girlfriend when I was in different part of the store. First, HE NEVER EXPLAINED / SHOWED THIS TO ME. Second, HE NEVER EXPLAINED / SHOWED IT MY GIRLFRIEND AND ME TOGETHER.
Third, my girlfriend stated he did not EXPLAIN / SHOW anything to her separate from me. To reiterate, he did not either tell us, or physically show us that the stair nose would not be level with the rest of the flooring on the steps. We were not even shown the stair noses in the store to see if they matched the flooring I ordered. I can understand that he Jason works with a lot of different customers, and might not remember this correctly, but to say that he explained this to us is NOT TRUE. To say that he explained it my girlfriend is also very poor on his part, as it was evident that I was person who was making the order, the order was in my name, he spoke with me on the phone about the estimate, and I paid for it with my credit card. It does not make sense that he would explain this very important part about the stairs to someone other than me. But again, as I stated above, he never explained / showed it at all.
Also, Jason said that this method was standard for stairs. This cannot be true. As a course of my employment, and in my private life, I go into houses and buildings daily, and can tell this is not standard. As Jason continued to say this me, I felt like he was insulting my intelligence. There was not raised nose under the carpet beforehand, so why would I want to add raised noses? I feel like I have been taken advantage of by Jason, and by Lumber Liquidators, in this process. I don’t know if the employees thought I was just some uneducated person who they could sell bad product and service to, or if it was just poor communication from the employees. Regardless, I feel as if this was handled poorly, and I have been victimized in this situation.
The stairs both look and feel horrible. The edge of the stair nose are not flush with the side of the stairs. I can see the unfinished edge of the stair nose as I walk into my house. I believe if the stair nose were level with the rest of the stairs, this would not be visible. Walking on the stairs is uncomfortable, as any hard, even surface is uncomfortable to walk. I feel as this is not safe, as there is now a built-in trip hazard. Submitted completed complaint form on 07/04/17, have not received a response. E-mails / phone calls not returned.

We spent 5400 dollars on a floating floor which we were told would do great in our kitchen and stand up to our two large dogs. We had it down for less than a month and started noticing bubbles. When we called in March and repeatedly sent them the information and pictures they requested we finally in July got an appointment for someone to come and evaluate our floor. In August I finally called for an update. After repeatedly asking our claims person for information he finally put me on hold and suddenly had the report. He then told me our house had high levels of dampness and humidity and that was what made our doors damaged. When I told him our house was dry and never had issues with dampness he stated the evaluation showed high numbers. I asked how could a floor your salesman said would be good in a kitchen not be good with moisture.
He said he couldn't give us a refund for the boxes we had waiting for our upstairs or for the floors that were installed on our main floor but he would give us 500$ as a goodwill gesture. I told him that wasn't acceptable, especially since we had waited since March for a reply from them. He said that was all he could do even when I explained to him that the evaluation had to be wrong because we had a brand new heater, air conditioner, and dehumidifier for over a year. Still he said there was nothing he could do. When I asked to speak to a manger, he said none were available. When I said I'd hold he said I couldn't, when I asked for a name he said he couldn't give me a manager's name. Be careful buying anything from Lumber Liquidators, their salesman, according to their claims people, aren't floor installers, so don't know what they're really selling us, I guess!!!

We had been looking for a while for the right deal to update our floors. Lumber Liquidators had a return product that was half-priced, so we bought the 3/4-inch teak hardwood floors from them. We talked to the sales rep about pricing because we had been shopping around. We also asked a bunch of questions to make sure that we didn’t have any issues with the installation. The rep was knowledgeable and answered all our questions.
Then we did the installation ourselves. But the state of the floors wasn't completely what they said it was going to be. Some of the floor boards had already been used and nailed down previously, and we pulled these back up and put them back in the boxes. Since we bought the whole lot and the floor boards were more than we needed, we had enough to do the installation, but we didn't have as much leftover floor boards as we were expecting to have. On the whole, however, the people at Lumber Liquidators were very knowledgeable about flooring and installation.

First of all, I love the product, but the customer service is much to be desired. We first decided to put down laminate flooring in my office and we loved it so much that we decided to do two more rooms in our downstairs. I measured the bathroom, took the measurements to the store, picked out what we wanted and they ordered the proper square footage for that room. After five days they called me and said that my flooring was in and it could be picked up. After arriving home with my flooring I put it in the room that it was to be installed and like they recommended for a weekend project. Friday evening after work I took the baseboards all off, pulled the commode, clean the floor and put down the underlayment.
Saturday morning when I got up to get an early start, I opened the box and proceeded to lay down the flooring and all was going well until about half way across the room when I opened up another box and it was the wrong color. I then grabbed another box and yes it was the wrong color as well. Now, I got half of my room done, NO toilet and can't even finish this project that I thought that I would be able to do in one weekend and instead I cannot finish it.
When I contacted the store they told me that I could bring those two boxes back that was wrong and they would order the replacement so when I went to the store to drop off the two boxes they told me that they would order it and it would be in in roughly a week. I ask them if they could overnight this product and the employee just laughed and said, “No that's not going to happen.” So now I got a bathroom half done, no toilet to use for another week. We love the flooring so much that we decided to do the whole upstairs, now my decision is to go back to Lumber Laminators or try another place to see if I can get the same quality but just better service.

The floors in my home were a little warped and I didn't know that because I had carpet on them for so many years. When I lifted up the carpet, I left the shower run over it and it warped in the hallway. I had to replace the hardwood flooring and I looked at a lot of places like Home Depot and Lowe's but they didn't have it. I went to Lumber Liquidators and when I walked in with the sample, the representative was waiting on another customer but he showed me where it was. He was good and already knew what I was looking for. We got everything done there within a half hour and they loaded the product for me. So, I was satisfied with that after looking everywhere else. I went in at Lumber Lumber Liquidators a couple of times and they really pleased me good.
The flooring comes in bundles that I paid for about $100. It was good to work with and the installation took me about four days as I kept doing a section at a time. The quality is also good and it worked out great because it fit right with the wood that I have in the house which has been in there since the late 40's. The flooring looks good and I’ve taken pictures of it which I showed to the guys at church then told them where I found it.

Store sales representative said flooring was simple to install but in reality it is a pain to install as a DIY person. The store representative was more helpful with getting information than the Corporate Customer Care people. Had a problem signing into my account, customer care gave me the email they showed and I said when I tried to do a password recovery it tells "Sorry, we cannot find the user with the email address **." Then she informs me that I must have a problem with my computer even though it is their site telling me it can not find an account associated with the email they showed. So I called the store that I purchased the flooring at and Chris was happy to look up my account and email me a copy of the invoice to the email that their site could not find a user for.
Now to the real issue, I did not get to start installing product until now due to other projects and remodeling so the warranty is up on the product. Purchased it when I did because it was supposedly on sale but now I see that their sale price is the normal price because it is still on sale now at the same price it was when I purchased it in December.
Instructions do not give a DIY person a good explanation on how to install flooring. When following the instructions it is extremely hard to install each tile and the click lock on the short end starts coming apart when you start putting the long end in. This requires you to remove the piece and start over which results in the locking tab breaking off.
So I decided I did not want the tile and when I called Customer Care I was informed that it was past the 30 day return and the 90 day manufacture defect time. But they offered to have FedEx pick up a box of the Tile to send back to Corporate for them to test for defects. In other words waste more of my time so they could tell me that there is nothing wrong with the product because their professional installers had no problem with it. Do not recommend buying this cheap made Chinese products Lumber Liquidators sells and does not backup.

Knowledgeable Staff -- Not Good Customer Service: I received a good education about engineered flooring and various types of hardwood flooring -- including bamboo. The sales reps obviously know their stuff. The product, however, is not as good as expected. I was not advised that special staples were required for the installation because the engineered floor boards were so thin. And most importantly, the installer that Lumber Liquidators vouched for and highly recommended, over measured the base molding needed for the room by 35% and had me order the wrong transition piece. When I called the store to advise them of the problems, knowing that I could not return these items because we had pre-painted the molding and my contractor cut the transition piece the store manager offered me no assistance or discount for a proper transition piece.
Even though I needed less than 3 feet of the material I was told I could not get a discount or credit or anything. In my opinion it was terrible customer service after all the money I spent with them. Because of that, I did NOT purchase the hardwood flooring for the rest of my house from them. A simple gesture that probably would have cost the store less than $10, wound up costing them a lost sale of over $4,000.

I'm a contractor and I work with everybody. But with the advertisement Lumber Liquidators had, I went to check it out. I found what the customer wanted and I went back there to pay and pick the wood up. That's when the problem came. I was given a check for something that was supposed to be delivered three weeks later. I was about to buy about 2,000 square feet wood, gave the kid my check and he looked at me as if I had three heads and then he went away. Then he came back and I asked him what the problem was 13 times. Finally, he gave the check back to me and told me I had to call my bank. So, I walked out and didn't buy anything because it was taking too long and a little too confusing. As I was walking out, the manager told the kid that he should have called but the kid was too lazy to call the bank to get the code because it was almost $5,000.
As a contractor, I don't wear a suit and a tie, and I come in all scruffy. Maybe they see a guy that shouldn't be giving away $5,000 checks and the kid got nervous. LL should get somebody that's a little more in the world and able to pinpoint who's who. They should also get somebody with a little more experience in customer service and handling of large amounts because, for me, $5,000 is not that much. I've had customers spend up to $20,000 just on tiles for their living room. Lumber Liquidators is a good place for somebody that doesn't know much. They have the knowledge and they got a great selection. The price was also good but I couldn't take the customer service. I need to get in, purchase, get out, have it delivered.

I purchased a 5 ½-inch hardwood from Lumber Liquidators because I did an extension and I had to put a new floor. At first, when I bought stuff, the employees were nice. They’re not professional but the manager girl was okay. She wanted to wrap it up quickly and not giving me too much chance. And what they ask, that’s not what they were keeping up with. I told them what I need and they gave me the price. They checked from the warehouse at the back of the store and they had the stuff. I ordered a delivery truck, it came and I picked it up in the same spot. Then, when I had to come to bring the wood back, they were totally unprofessional. They didn’t make it convenient for the price I was paying.
They brought the boxes out and I started putting them in the truck. Then, I saw the floor was damaged. I told the girl that one side of the plank was cut. It’s not supposed to be. I showed it to her and she said that it’s probably one box only. She took out the money for the box, but I paid the rest. Since she’s taking out that money and I need 15 feet extra, I told her I’ll buy another box. And she gave me that one box for free. I told them I’m a contractor. And I’ll go home and I’ll match that wood and try to fix it because I like the gray color very much. So then, we went along and paid the price for the merchandise and I took it home. Then, the next day, I had to bring it back.
First of all, I took pictures. I had to unload my truck and take it inside my house, carry all the boxes and put it on the floor. I’m supposed to keep it in the room for at least 48 hours. But the next day, when I opened it just to see, they have all different colors. I can understand a little variation but we’re talking about charcoal and light gray. So, I got pissed because I lost my day. I had to do other things. I opened four boxes and it was the same story. So, I had to bring it back to them. When I came in, I opened it and showed the girl. She was trying to help me, looking at me and all she was saying was they cannot return the money but I can take other stuff. I told her I don’t want other stuff and this is the color that I like. The theme of my room is gray and they don’t have any other gray. I don’t want anything else from them and I want the money back.
I asked her why they are asking me to take the store credit for giving me faulty goods. Somebody packed up these boxes and they are selling it again. And I cannot work with the colors. So then, this guy came, who was supposedly working in the store. I was upset and I was like, “Okay. My God.” And I was shaking my head. He came to me and asked why I was shaking my head. I said, “What? What do you mean? Why do you care if I’m shaking my head or not?” So, he was rude. The girl was apologizing and telling me not to mind him. And then he started fighting this girl, being rude and cursing. And then she went to the warehouse to check with the other guy and then with her boss, back and forth. Then finally, they gave me my money back and put it back into my card. But I kept the underlayment because it was sealed. I paid $290.
It wasn’t a good experience. They were unprofessional and on this store, they don’t have a good system running. I also lost some money with the fare. I called a delivery truck and I took it back home. And I had to bring it back again. Plus, the labor. Lumber Liquidators is not a good company. I purchased better floor from the Chinese people next door on the same day. I understand they don’t have a franchise yet and it’s not a very big store, but what they sell me, that’s what I got. I’m a contractor. I purchase a lot of wood flooring, all different kinds for my clients and for myself. I would never recommend anybody and I would never go back again to this store. That’s not how these franchises should be doing, I understand that if somebody has one store and they have no policy. But these people should have a better policy. It was unprofessional and dishonest.

If you drop something on the floor it marks. Even moving light chairs on the floor marks it. Some marks are very noticeable because you can see the lighter color of the wood. I have had wood floors all my life and never witnessed anything so delicate. Total waste of money.

We couldn't be happier with Lumber Liquidators or their recommended installers. The product we ordered - Virginia Millworks "Burnished Acacia" - has performed at least as well as advertised. We did the entire house except for tiled entry and transition areas. The dark color has brought out the darker streaks in our hickory cabinets and transition tiling, as well as providing contrast with most of our furnishings. Getting rid of all the carpeting has done wonders for my wife's allergies. Since we have two very small but very active dogs, we were concerned about them scratching or marring the finish, but so far (18 months in most of the house), no problem - the surface has held up extremely well!
Because we live in a very small rural community, we were worried about "importing" the installers. We needn't have worried! The two young men who did the installation were prompt, courteous, and amazingly talented!! The scribing work required around the base of our living room fireplace is incredibly well-done. They even helped us move some furniture that was too heavy for my wife and I to handle alone! We'd recommend these installers to anyone. We wouldn't think twice about where to go for wood flooring if we encountered another project - Lumber Liquidators would be our one-and-only call!!

They then turn around and denied what they originally told me. The installer did not remove the tapes on the wood floors and clean off the tape residues. The formal estimate was emailed to me on the day the installer started the project. He ran out of woods and I had to go to your store to purchase more woods and glue. They did not have wood and had to order it out of state. In addition they wrote family room as work location. I sent an email requesting a correction because it was my master bedroom. I got a phone message stating that cannot be done since the invoice is already completed. The day I put a deposit for the woods I was not informed the woods was coming from another store, and that I would have to pay extra for delivery.

This time, we bought laminated flooring since our carpeting was over 20 plus years old and we wanted wood floors. They have a big selection and their sales representatives were all very good and helpful. The pack that I got was inexpensive because it was just for a bedroom. Overall I am satisfied with the material and selections of your offering. What I did not like as a customer who spend little short for 10k (~2k sq ft) with you was that there was no leniency with the return policy. After completion of the project, which took slightly longer than expected due various reasons I had one roll of the platinum floor isolation left over ($100). The representative at the San Jose store was not willing to take that back.
I understand that it was outside the return policy (30 days) but it's not that the material goes bad or that I took advantage of the system. It accounted for less than a percent of what I spend with your company. I am a return customer and even hired the installer for the first part of the project through you. It's not about the money. Now I have a roll of material left over, in mint condition, which someone else could use but instead destined for the landfill. I am out $100 and you turned a happy customer into someone who had a two star experience.

The crew did a remarkably fast job, which I liked. They were in and out in one day. The only complaint that I had was that where many of the boards ended against a wall, the boards were cut too short and the cuts showed after baseboard was applied. Also, some of the boards that had to be ripped and fitted against a wall were too narrow and the connection didn't hold leaving an open crack after baseboard was applied. Other than those features, we love the look of the engineered bamboo and the feel of it.

Where do I begin.. I visit the Woburn store to order materials which then led to about a dozen calls into the store asking for updates to questions on the install, quote, and timeline with no timely follow up. After not getting any answers, I then went to the Hampton store where I asked them to rectify the situation and get me in touch with the installer for my estimate. After a lot of back and forth, the installer came to the house after a few weeks. I get home after day 4 (mind you it was only a kitchen, entry and dining room) to find an absolute hack of a job.
In short, we spent A LOT of money on this install and the 'installer' contracts it out to people that are not at all efficient nor do they care about what they call a 'final product'. I then called the Hampton store as well as the supposed installer that contracted it out. He had to send out another guy to fix ALL the work. We had an absolute horrible experience and I wouldn't wish this upon anyone. Nothing was organized or done properly throughout the entire process.

They called to offer free delivery. When they didn't show up, I called. They tried to blame it on me and insisted I pay $150.00 for delivery if I still wanted it that day. I picked it up myself and my floor guys had to waste a half day. Not happy.

I waited 20 years to install my flooring. Lumber Liquidators flooring was exactly what I wanted with color and quality. I purchased the flooring at the Brooklyn location and the experience was awesome. The team was patient and kind and helpful with helping me choose my floors. I would definitely recommend this store and Lumber Liquidators for sure.

Good product and a fair price. Relatively easy to install. Was given the correct equipment and advice to do so. Did not know the bamboo was all 6 ft in length. Created extra waste. However, flooring looks exceptionally nice. Would definitely use your services and products again.

I had to put in new flooring in the first floor of a rental house and needed it to be inexpensive. Greg, the assistant manager at the Chambersburg, PA store, had two hardwood closeout lots at his store that were enough to do two rooms. He found a larger hardwood closeout lot at another store that was enough to do the living room. He loaded my truck, put a tarp over the flooring because rain was eminent, and arranged for the pickup at the other store. He gave me excellent pricing on the combined lots. Though the closeout lots had some defective pieces as expected, there were not many and the floors turned out beautiful. Greg is the epitome of excellent customer service. Thanks for your extra effort.

Experience was satisfactory with the floor persons, there was a mix up with the delivery person not following the date we selected. It was finally delivered (Red Oak Flooring), however we were not present so we had someone else verify the delivery. Hopefully this experience will be corrected for future buyers with Lumber Liquidators.

We had never been to one of your stores before. The young salesman outdid himself and explained everything to us very well. We bought bamboo flooring since we wanted light flooring and something sturdy. We bought 715 sq. ft. I am 79 and Hubby is 81 so names escape us.

Curb service. That is terrible. Why would someone want their flooring dropped at the curb. It should be a flat fee to the inside of your house, if you are on the first floor or 50th floor. My flooring is beautiful. Try bamboo.

The entire experience was great. The salesman was extremely knowledgeable about the product (Carbonized Bamboo Flooring). It was available for pickup when stated. The product was wonderful to install and we are extremely satisfied with it. Price was also below another sales outlet. We are very satisfied and have had numerous compliments about our floor.

I would recommend the Long Island City, Queens store for the reasonable pricing of the lumber products and the excellent customer service of store employees. I had no knowledge of the flooring products until I visited the store. Store staff Joe and Travis were helpful and patient in explaining the different types of wood and pricing. I decided to purchase the lumber from the Queens store on my second visit. Pickup on following weekend was uneventful. With some extra lumber boxes after the floor is done, I had no trouble to return them, plus the underlayment rolls that I did not need. I had a good experience with Lumber Liquidators.

All around very pleased with my purchase. The technical advice and customer service was helpful and accommodating. I realize after the purchase that one of the underlayment rolls were short. I was given another roll. No questions asked. The prefinished bamboo was manufactured excellently without any flaws. The only issue I have is that I wanted the flooring to have more randomness in the grain and finish. The black "swatch" that in the grain was too uniform for what I was looking for. Live and learn.

John and the employees are great and patient. They are professionals who do you with customers with alacrity. The warehouse help is tremendous and efficient, courteous and always happy to do their jobs. We have spent over $9000 in floors there and they have been professional in and out of the showroom.

We purchased pre finished 3/4" Oak flooring. Product arrived as scheduled and was satisfied with purchase. However... we returned 3 times to make and add changes as needed. The only problem was customer service... so UNDERSTAFFED!!! Each time had to wait & wait. Then the time on computer to get info in and completed was unbelievable. Seriously, check into it... it must be hard for your employees as well.

We recently refloored about 75 percent of our home using bamboo from Lumber Liquidators. The product looks amazing and was very easy to install. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely use this company again in the future.

The installation costs tripled after a min sq ft and needed plywood, plastic were disclosed AFTER the sale of wood. I thought they'd KNOW to sell/include me plastic and plywood after we'd specifically discussed it. It was as if they had not ever sold real hardwood. Not going back. Bought down the road at 1/2 the cost and 10x less frustration.

Purchased bamboo flooring to continue flooring previously installed. Found 2 boxes that had a single piece in each box that were 3 ft. in length. Both boxes were plastic wrapped so it was from factory. John gave me another box without question.

Carbonized Bamboo (nail down) - Overall experience in the store and pick up were very good. Attentive and knowledgeable service. Product went down well, and looks good. My customer is very happy. The only issue I had is that you did not have the trim pieces I needed. I had to find another supplier who had reducing trim pieces for my project.

This is my first experience using Lumber Liquidators and I have to say I was very impressed with the service I received from the Regency Square store staff. I had repeated experiences because my project kept growing with new ideas and every time, the service was impeccable. Kudos to all!

I went into the store to buy the wood to do my floors, the gentleman that was helping me started to ring up my items, but when he told me the total cost of the item I knew something was wrong. Once he told me how much the wood for the floor had cost I went back to check and showed him the price that they had on their display that described the floor I wanted. The difference was like 75 cents a square foot. Okay you would thinking they would honor the price. Big surprise to me NO they didn't. He looked at me and told me he couldn't sell it to me at that price that they had it listed at. He handed the display to another guy in the store and told him, "Do not put that price tag back on it," right in front of me. I looked back at him and told him that he was wrong and they should have honored that price.
It's not the customer's fault that the store place the wrong price on it and was prepared to pay one thing and now it's something different. How do I know your employee was not going to take the rest of the money for himself. I am big on customer service and that was very poor service. I'll rather take my business elsewhere and pay extra than to be made look like a fool. I've never written a bad review or complained about people before. This just took the cake. I'll NEVER refer anyone to Lumber Liquidators again. Teach employees how to treat customers. I would have never let a customer walk out my store with this taste in their mouth.

LOL I haven't had my floors installed yet! I have been put off until the twenty first of July to find out where we stand. It would be nice to be notified where we are on the list rather than call in on a weekly basis. Now we are being faced with having to go out of town for a week which I am sure will put our floors being installed sometime in August!!

The salesman was super helpful. Worth the drive to get maple hard wood flooring. It looks so good. I will be back to make more purchases with Lumber Liquidators in the future. Hardwood floors is definitely the way to go! It would be nice if product could be shipped to one close by store to be picked up.
