Kinetico is awesome. It’s made in the USA, and it has a 10-year warranty. We have hard water and chlorine. I purchased the Q850 OD which is the best and with the best warranty. And now, there's less scale buildup and no chlorine. I had someone come out to do a water test and it was informative. The installation went good.

James wanted a water softener for the sink and liked Kinetico, which was why we got it. The installation team seemed very nice, but when they installed it, they came back about three times. It just kept leaking and leaking. When the whole thing went out on the bottom, it was not covered and we had to pay for a whole new water softener. We're still happy with the experience though.

I purchased the Kinetico water softener as I needed a new one, and setting up the appointment was very easy and quick. They recently contacted me about a potential service call just to check up, and I said I was good. They're gonna call me again in six months, so I'm happy. Now the water is perfectly done and it's great. When I'm in the shower, I notice the difference.

We’ve been thinking about water systems for a while, and then it just happened that a representative from Kinetico was at Home Depot and we got approached. The representative came out and did some testing and when we found out what stuff was in the water, we went ahead and decided to do it. The rep was good and explained everything very well such as what’s in the water and what should be taken out by using the filtration system, so we went ahead and did that.

The installation went very well. The installers told my wife about maintenance, adding salt in the bin and stuff like that. Since having our system from Kinetico, we can see the difference in our water, especially after showering, there’s no build-up in the hair. We had one issue because of a valve that’s on top, which was in warranty, but we haven’t had it for more than a year and we had that issue already. So I’m afraid that it was the thing on top that was some sort of a valve that salt was seeping out so it was almost like corrosion build-up on top. It’s covered in the warranty, but for a product that’s been used less than a year, I would think it would last longer than that.

    Hi Mark,

The product sends soft water to all the lines in the home with which it is connected.

Is it possible there is a hard water line run from the main to the kitchen that bypasses the softener?

Connect with your area installer to have them check it over if you’re concerned with performance.

We needed a water softening system, and when we were at Home Depot, we ran into Kinetico's display and salesperson. We then set up an appointment there. The gentleman that came out was a really great guy and I liked what he said right away. He also gave us the water test. However, the salt doesn't seem to be going down like we thought. I ended up taking all the salt out and redoing salt, and it still doesn't look like it’s going down.

And then, we had a problem with the reverse-osmosis. A guy came out and replaced some seals, but it’s starting to make the same type of noise again. He told me that it could be a pump, but I'm going to wait until it happens because I have to pay another $109 for him to come out because it’s past the 30 days. Other than that, I really enjoyed our Kinetico. We could tell that our skin was a little dryer when we had salt issues, that’s why we cleaned it all out and started again. Once we did that, everything was fine again.

Kinetico was recommended by the pool manufacturers here in Las Vegas. We did the free water test at the beginning. Their representative was very informative and very cheerful. He answered all our questions and showed us a couple experiments which was to our delight. We got their newest version for the whole house, including a drinking water station. The installation team was very good. They were very professional and were in and out very, very quickly. Our water has much better quality since then.

Kinetico was the best water system ever. It was the Cadillac at the time. Their reps were very professional and very responsive. We needed to get a regulator for the water system, because the pressure was too high in the house. That was not a cheap item, but they pointed out that that was a very strong recommendation. So, when we purchased it, they were scheduled to come annually. They reached out to me on an annual basis to set up an appointment for them to come. Over a period of time, there were some parts that have to be replaced and their rep let us know what needed to be done. At this point, I don’t have a Kinetico water softener anymore because I sold that house.

If you’ve ever been to Las Vegas and you let a glass of water dry out, you will find a residue at the bottom. So I purchased the entire water filtration system to include the reverse osmosis unit. My son had it when he was living in Arizona. The reps from Kinetico came out and explained the whole system. We arranged a date and the installer came out. He was very knowledgeable and it was a very pleasant experience. This was an excellent job. It was very clean and very well-installed.

I’ve had no problems whatsoever with the system. It's just that when you’re dealing with vendors and you’re dealing with the service people, you’ve got to expect each level has different knowledge. My partner just retired from work and bought a house here that already had Kinetico. So, he had them come out and service it to make sure everything was in good shape. Overall, It was a very pleasant experience with Kinetico and it made a heck of a difference here on the water.

My neighbor was happy with their Kinetico, so I decided to also go with it. The original guy that came out was very nice and they did a free water test. They were the third water softening company I interviewed and they had the best price. Plus they had a product that did not need electricity to work. The only thing was, I have cameras set up in my house because of my dogs and I saw the installer open a door that he didn't need to open. He looked in a room that he had no business looking in, but he didn't go in.

I came home shortly after and he said, "Oh, you're home." I said, "Yeah, I find I'm watching my cameras too much to see what my dogs are doing 'cause they were in the backyard freaking out." I meant what I said but that let him know that I have cameras. He didn't say anything and I didn't confront him about it. I just let him sit there and think about it, that it's somebody else's house and he should not do that. Apart from that, everything seems fine and the Kinetico system is doing its job.

Our rep was great as far as getting an appointment scheduled and it seemed to happen within a very fast time frame. It was a very easy setup.

We got the water softener system. We liked the product and we also liked the rep that came out to our home. He was very knowledgeable and he answered all of our questions. Even if I had a question after he left us, I was able to reach out to him and get it answered very quickly. And there was no pressure on buying anything which was just very nice. With our water softening system in place, we can definitely tell that the water is softer. When we shower, our hair and our skin are softer. Kinetico is a great company. They did a great job and we are happy with our decision. We had a great experience.

I had a new development, and Kinetico left a brochure on the door. Their salesperson, Sandy, seemed like a really nice person, and I went with her because of the way she talked and the knowledge she had over the system itself. Her husband was really good too. I got a water softener, and another person came in and did the installation. He gave me some tips on how to keep everything running smoothly. He was good too. Since then, the water has been absolutely different. Las Vegas’ water is really hard, but when you take a shower now, it’s like taking a shower in lotion. It feels pretty good. So, it makes a difference as far as your body and how you feel once you come out.

We lived in California and we had Kinetico. A friend of mine had it here and we just said we were gonna go for it. Their rep seemed like he knew what he was talking about. We got the system with three tanks and we also have the water drinking system. The installation team was also good. They were clean. We had a granite countertop and an iron sink. The guy said, "They're gonna be mad 'cause I went through another drill trying to drill through this." But I told him that he had to do it and he got it done.

The only thing that we had trouble with so far is they have a little seal on the outside where you put the salt in there. They don't use Kinetico product for the thing that has a little tablet in it. I had to have that replaced because it started leaking. The guy that came and installed it said it was not a Kinetico part so I don't know who they're buying it from. It must be like an aftermarket thing. Other than that, it has been good so far. I gotta get the filters changed on the water system but that's about it.

My experience in setting up an appointment couldn't have been easier. It was quick. The rep came out, and he followed up afterwards when I thought there was a problem. The installation team showed up when they said they were going to. It was clean, and then they were gone, and I didn't have any issues. They also explained the system to me in detail. They knocked me with brochures and how it worked and how the treatment works in the whole house, the RO, and the differences. It's been 90 days since I've been using the system, and the silica has been very manageable. The system doesn't remove it, but it changed the chemical compound so I can clean it off, and it's totally worth every dollar.

I had to start calling people and getting prices to put in something to rectify that, and Kinetico's price was less. They made the appointment for a few days later. And a man came out and tested the water, and gave me his spiel and presentation. I signed the contract and made the payment. The installation process was done in a day. They did a lot of work. They had to put in a lot of plumbing and things like that to make it work. And since I got Kinetico my water’s cleaner than it used to be. With the high-calcium stuff that was building up all over my appliances, I looked into water treatment systems and had one company come out. However, the rep wouldn't talk to me unless my spouse was there, which made it seem like I was not capable of making any decision. He showed up at the house for five minutes and kind of told me it was a waste of time unless my spouse was there and so he rolled out. I immediately went to Home Depot and they had Kinetico. I talked to Kinetico. The rep told me about a trial period, among other things, and how they prefer if both people are there just so there's less dickering and they get the same story. Still, he explained everything to me and I signed up for the system.

The water test then was ridiculous but since having the system installed, the showers have had a different feel. It's not like slimy water. It's just clean. You feel the soap in your hair and in your skin. I've had Kinetico for close to a year now and there's no additional buildup on stuff as far as the high minerals that are in the water in Nevada. I have the system that looks like it's four tanks but two tanks kinda stacked on top of each other. I also like how it's not electric. It's standalone and runs through the water pressure so anytime I have power outages, there are no electrical issues. I highly recommend it. I have already recommended it to my friends that don't have it.

I should never have used Kinetico. In the first place, mine had to go outside, which, every time they come to make repairs the first thing out of their mouth is "It's OUTSIDE". I wish the guy that sold it to me had made that big of a deal out of having to put it outside! But, recently is what really upset me. They take credit cards and this fix was $800.00. My ID Theft informed me with an alert the very next day of a breach with the email account that Kinetico had for me. I told the man that the email account was no longer valid and I thought he changed it, but, I still had to call the office to change the email account just to get a receipt because it evidently went to the deleted account.

A month later I had to have them come back and fix a cracked PVC pipe. The only good thing about that was that I only had to pay for the repairman fees. A few weeks later my bank called and informed me that the charge card that I had used was being used fraudulently. It was closed out. So, you tell me....should I be happy???? Would YOU????

    Hi Martha,

Thanks for taking the time to speak with me privately to help clarify your concerns. With better detail, we can reach out to your authorized dealer to take steps to improve customer experience.

Outside installations are very common in southern states where the threat of freezing temperatures is limited. This is true of any brand water treatment product. I'm not certain why your service provider remains surprised, but we'll touch base with them on this point.

We are certain your service provider will also appreciate being made aware of the drop in communication between the technician and the office regarding updating your email contact information. We are sorry for the inconvenience of you having to make a 2nd effort to correct the email address and ask for a receipt.

Then on Aug 27, your bank called because your card had been used fraudulently. No police report was filed. And there is no link to this fraudulent use and the authorized dealer. Unfortunately, credit card hacking has become common place. We would suggest that you work with your bank and the police to track the person that tried to used your account.

Your equipment was installed in 2011 and we thank you for your patronage. We hope that 8 years of product performance will out weigh your recent inconveniences. We will reach out to your dealer to make them aware of your concerns. We are certain that they will appreciate the opportunity to regain your confidence.

I’ve been very satisfied with the minimal maintenance needed with the Kinetico system. The water is satisfactory too. A number of years ago, I heard of Kinetico at a home improvement show. I researched it a little bit and I found that it was a demand-type situation. That appealed to me more than an automatic-regeneration-type situation. Everything went smoothly during the installation. I have a whole house system and I have an outlet at the half-lavatory that I use and also at the kitchen sink. Occasionally, I can tell that there has been a generation because the water in the shower seems to be softer. I opt to use Kinetico for the whole house primarily for the shower reason.

I got a water softener, a pre-filter, a RO system, a new pressure tank in the well, a new hot water heater, and the drinking water product from Kinetico. I got estimates and listened to the sales pitch and process and everything they had from about three different companies, and Kinetico was the one that I chose because of the quality of the equipment. And also, they packaged other things for me that I needed done, and they were gonna do it. I was gonna have some electrical work done and some plumbing work done just in preparation for these other guys to come in. So, they would take care of some of those other things.

They moved the pressure tank for me and gave me a brand-new hot water heater. It's a larger, better one that’s stainless steel. And I was also wanting to locate all of these things in a central location, which they did right there in the garage for me. And so, it's all consolidated and easy to work with, easily accessible, and everything is right there. And they gave me a good price on it.

Mike, their installation technician is like a fully licensed master builder. He’d built homes before from the ground up and knows all about everything he can do for building homes, but now, he just focuses on these watering solutions and all of the plumbing and electrical things related to that, and he did an awesome job, set it all up, and came fully equipped to do everything, and he was in in one day. He's got a lot of background. He's fully capable.

The water softener is good. I didn’t trust the water. I had bought a water softener system out in Powhatan where I lived before for four years, and I had a well system out there. This one here also has a well system. But out there, I had problems with the acidity in my water, and I had to end up doing an entire new plumbing on the house because over the course of time, the acidity had eaten through the copper pipes. And so, I had to put a water filtration system in. I hadn’t had chemicals to adjust the PH balance in the water. And so, the whole plumbing thing was redone there. So, I had a lot of interest in making sure this one was set up as soon as possible after I got in it.

As I started investigating, these guys came out and did all the testing and checked it out. They did a good job at it and I'm very pleased with the products I get so far. I went through about four or five cases of bottled water a month, and then now, I use this RO system, and all of our drinking water comes through there and everything else is operating fine.

After doing a Google search for water purification systems, I found Kinetico and went for their water softener and reverse osmosis system. Everything went really well when we set up the appointment and the guy that we dealt with was really helpful. He went over everything and was very thorough. The installation went fine, too, though I wish I could have the system put in a different area - in my garage. I got a brand new home and they couldn't cut out the drywall to get into the water system. The layout of my garage had the hot water tank and there's a large space, probably 4-feet by 4-feet or 3-feet, and normally that's where the builder puts the system. And I really wanted it there, but they said they gotta go by where the water line comes in the house. Even though there was no drywall and all the pipes are exposed, they didn't wanna do it.

Other than that, everything is fine. The water out here is very hard and having the Kinetico system brought a big difference from the regular water. It helps my dishwasher, my fridge, the hot water tank and everything because it takes that hard water out of it. I also had a reverse osmosis system at the other house, and comparing the two, Kinetico is the better system. The quality is good for me.

I moved back here in March of ’18, and I’ve always had a water system for drinking. I got the K5 Drinking Water Station from Kinetico and Paul installed it, and he's a nice guy. He also came out to service it for maintenance. He's really personable and seems to really know what he’s doing, and it has worked out very well. I have three cats, and I had been giving them filtered water that I thought was good for them. I thought, “Well, let me give them water out of the faucet too just to make sure they have plenty,” so I did. A couple of them prefer the water coming out of the faucet than they do the Kinetico water, which is very interesting. Somebody mentioned that it’s because the water coming out of the faucet has a smell. But I love Kinetico.

The water where I live in Las Vegas is pretty bad, which led me to research water treatment systems and Kinetico was one of the four choices here in town. It wasn't the cheapest by any means, but I went with them. Setting up my appointment was very good and then, they did the water test when the salesperson came out. They were fast and very efficient. They brought the stuff in, set it up and they were here for only 45 minutes tops. We've had our three-tank system for about a year now and the water is soft. We get good drinking water.

Kinetico is pretty much non-electric except for to pump and all of the parts are sold in Home Depot. It was easy to set up an appointment with their rep and they did a good job during installation. They made it as compact as they could. They fit everything in. And when it came to my pump and my tank, they tested to make sure they could still use it and left that in.

The house was in Virginia and I was getting all of the system done to sell the house. Once they put it in, I noticed that the system works as it supposed to, because prior to that the pump would come on whenever the water ran because it wasn’t hooked up right. They did a really good job from beginning to end and are really easy to deal with, I had a timeframe and they fit me right in as quick as they could. They got it done. They did the test, explained the system, recommended what they thought should be in it, came right back and did the install.

There were softener issues, taste issues and hardening issues in our other house. The crew from Kinetico came over and they did the work, and everything was fine. The only thing that I didn't like was how they put it where the washroom is. They put it in the middle of the floor rather than up against the wall like I had hoped they would have. It's common sense to not put it there. They were putting it in a washroom, so put it up against the wall so that everything else is accessible. They told me that they would have somebody come over and look at it, and if they thought it was fine, then they would just leave it alone. That’s what happened, and I didn't even bother to go into any other issues with them. Everything is clean and everything smells good, so as far as everything else, I was completely satisfied.

Before, after washing the dishes, there were a lot of stains, and you see the same thing now. It’s not completely gone. We also had a problem. The system was making a lot of weird noises. And from the garage, you could hear that noise up to the second floor. Kinetico tried to fix it, but after a while, it did the same thing. We called them back and they finally decided to change it to a new product. Now we have little noise. And the guy who came was also very professional.

The reps' level of knowledge of the product was satisfactory and the installers were really nice. They seemed to know what they were doing. When the water was tested, it sucked and when it was tested again after the installation, it was where it needed to be. Since the installation, there has been a huge difference in the quality of water from the osmosis system for drinking and making ice cubes. The quality is much better.

And I said I had a job for him if he would come in. The water kept getting orange and when he came over he got a water test and brought a sample back to the lab and that was how it started. Mike just came two weeks ago and checked all the system out and put salt in it, and everything's good. I would highly recommend Kinetico. It's very, very expensive, and a lot of people frown at that, but to me, it was worth it, because I don't have to worry with the water going bad again. I can't give them enough praise. I live on a farm, and the water that I had had too much salt in it to sustain farming or animals. It's a 16-acre farm that I have. The first year, everything that we planted immediately got killed. It was more salt than what was healthy and was causing health problems with my family as well. The only solution I had was a reverse osmosis system. I then had three companies whose people I had come out and give me different options. Kinetico had the most items that they would be putting in, which wasn’t necessarily what I did. But their financing also at the time worked out with what I needed, so I went with them.

Jeremy, the guy who installed the system, worked with me quite a bit. Even though there was the hurricane, and he had his own problems, he did a very good job. One thing that happened was that it was a new, quieter system that Kinetico had just bought, but I had an issue where it would run at half power and not really make enough water. Jeremy came back and took the one that I had and replaced it with a new one.

I had a lot of hurdles that had to be overcome, like the pipe inside it had broke, for which they came back and fixed that. It took me two months to actually get usable water. But there was never a time that I feel like things are not moving forward. It was not the most flawless experience ever, but never did I feel like it wasn't going to get fixed. And since using the system, the water has been clear and we don't have problems with our health or killed plants anymore. It was kind of a necessary evil. I have like 40 days left on my UV bulb, and all the recurring costs are not gonna be pleasant but I really didn't have a choice.

And then, there's this thing where Kinetico puts a sign out and then you get one bag of salt a month. I just let it go because it didn't really seem all that important at the time. But I realize now, a year in, that it's 12 bags of salt. I go through eight bags a month, just because I am on a farm and I use a lot of water. I've reached out to Kinetico a couple of times and my sales representative is yet to send me any of the salt or any of the things that was in my contract.

They came when they said they would and got the installation done in a couple of hours. So, I was happy with that part of it. As far as the system, there isn’t really much to do with the system except keep the salt in the brine tank. The only maintenance is to change the water filter. And I think I’ve got a service contract that comes out twice a year and change that. If we take out silica, I would be even more satisfied, but it doesn’t do that.

When he was moving a pipe, he did something to the water heater that caused a leak on it and had to get the parts. It was a little strange, but it was okay. I like that the system doesn’t use electricity and that it regenerates when it needs to as opposed to a set time every day. So, it seems to have minimal weight. Plus, it's low to no maintenance. My first water softener system wore out and I needed to replace it. I got the one from Kinetico which was less expensive. It's working properly but may not have been quite as polished. They could enclose it in something prettier than the black tanks, but a big improvement would be if they could muffle all the noise. The cleaning period is noisy and it's enough of an issue that I went to the trouble of wrapping an old sleeping bag around the top of the operation so that it would be a little less noisy. They should consider putting some sort of muscling material to be made of foam which could be molded to the shape that sit around the pipes so that it muffled the noise a little.

Also, setting the automation is awkward and difficult. It's tricky to do. Although when you know what you're doing, it's fine. And frankly, the fellow that put it in for me wanted to go home. He didn't take as much time as he should have. And then for the RO system, when the sink was put in, the hole was a little too big for the base of the faucet. There should be a proper flange to help the RO system fit properly on a sink with an oversized hole. Then recently, I had to replace the filters for my RO system. I called down there and it wound up being kinda confusing, but the guy who answered me was very helpful.

It took forever for them to come back out and fix that. The actual product is good but the local supplier needs help. Kinetico is fine, but the supplier is terrible.

When my son bought his house over in Omaha, we went over there and he said he got the best water softener made by Kinetico. Anywhere we’ve ever lived in United States, the water is hard. We purchased a brand new home and we wanted soft water running through its veins before we ever moved in. So, that’s what we did. I took my son's advice and went for Kinetico. It was very easy to set up an appointment with their sales rep. He was very good and very knowledgeable. Everything went real smoothly.

The installation took an entire day and part of that was the nature of our home. The builder did not put soft water loops in. So we had to open up some of the ceiling in the basement, and the installers had to go into the basement to the other, to put water pipe because we wanted 100% of the house soft. It took a while to have them get up in there and rerun some plumbing. We like that the duo brine tank regenerates whenever it wants to, and there’s no electricity involved. Also, we put an RO system in, and it’s hard to drink other water. I’ve recommended Kinetico to friends.

We had a Kinetico system for 20-plus years and it worked flawlessly. The pressure reducing valve in our house failed and blew out our Kinetico system, so we replaced it. We purchased a system two years ago and within the first year, it wasn’t working. So, they put another new system in last year and it stopped working again just a month and a half ago. I just had the service guy out last week right before my warranty was set to expire. So, I’m not trying Kinetico again. I swore by it before but the quality of the Kinetico system has definitely gone down from the original one from 20 years ago. Also, I don’t like the fact that you have limited people that can work on it.

I got a full house water softener that regenerates from Kinetico. And then, I also purchased filters from them for my kitchen sink. Where we live, the water’s so hard, it’s almost off the scale. My well water goes through 960 of Colorado granite. And the water had a total dissolved solids of over 1,500, which is unsafe to drink. It had a hardness of 51, and the scale is about 15 to start. The Kinetico technology was totally cool. Their rep told me all about the radiation, from decaying uranium around here, and pointed me out towards a lab where I had the water tested for uranium, and it came out no problem. So, I felt very good. He was an extremely knowledgeable guy. He was very informal and he had good follow-up service. I really like him.

The install guys were great. Our inspectors here over Jefferson County are real sticklers, so they had to come back like three times. But it wasn’t anything that they did wrong. It was just that Jefferson County kept changing what they required. They had to come back and do all this fidgeting around with pipes and stuff that I didn't quite follow. But at the end, I got the house approved.

Our water is clear now. It tastes much better. We can wash dishes without every single dish coming out with a white coating all over it. The showers and other water that we use is much better. Our appliances work better. 40 years of scale in some of our pipes are starting to come loose now. And finally, we’re able to get better pressure.

Everybody seems to be pretty good about being responsive and knowledgeable. You get to a technician guy and you’ll have your answers quickly and easily. So, all is well. Since having the system installed, the water is softer. There was a lot of iron and sulfur in the water and the bottom of the kitchen disposal rotted out over a few years, and the Kinetico system solved that. There’s a lot of hope that we'll solve our corrosion of brass fittings by having the softener in.

The sales person from Kinetico seemed to know what he was talking about and answered the questions that I had. I bought a whole house water softener and it's a dual tank version. When it was installed, it couldn’t sit into the house which was the laundry room. So, we poked a couple of holes in the wall and put the system out in the garage. It comes into the building into the laundry room, goes right back out into the garage, goes through the system and comes back into the laundry room.

The rep set it up so that if I ever move and I wanna take the system with me, I'll just change the position of three valves, disconnect and go. That also makes it convenient so that anybody else that moves in behind me can put in a softening system very easily if they want to. It was quite helpful. However, I was under the impression that someone was gonna leave or come back with at least a minor supply of the salt but that never happened. Other than that, I have no complaint and I've recommended Kinetico.

The town we live in has horribly hard water. I searched for something in my area and found Kinetico. The sales representative was awesome and he did a very good job. We had a water softener installed but I don't think the product that we bought is that wonderful. I needed more explanation on how exactly it worked. It intermittently stops giving us soft water and what we discovered is that the salt that we put in turns into hard rock in the bottom of the softener. And we have to go down with a stick and break it up and then we have soft water again. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be working. But I called them once and have them come out. They said that one of the settings was wrong. The rep said it was a problem they're having with the settings but what he turned into the office, and I saw on the invoice, was that I didn't know how to run it. I really didn't like that.

When it's functioning at its best, it works wonderfully. I like the unit because our basement isn't finished and we have like two plug-in. It doesn't use electricity and that was what appealed to us. But I’ve had water softeners in the past that used electricity and I felt like we never had an issue where the salt bogged down as bad as this one does. We're considering just using block salt in it to stop that. I'd tell others, if they're gonna get it, to pay more and get a better model than we got.

    Hi Enrique,

We are sorry that you have chosen to not use your dechlorinator.

Millions of people have dechlorinators with no issue from the water heater. The water treatment company does not have any way of determining before hand any one home that may experience odor from their water heater.

The good news is 2 part: 1. there are many benefits to having chlorine removed from the water supply 2. there are remedies that can be used on the water heater to eliminate the hot water odor.

With your permission, we will reach out to your dealer and ask them to contact you to review how to get you the best water we both expect with the name Kinetico.

    Hello Hartence,

A water softener will remove calcium, magnesium and dissolved iron. These cause white scale deposits and brown stains. Green or blue/green is commonly associated with copper.

Do you see it at just 1 faucet or throughout the house? If throughout the house, the pH of the water may be low and was previously covered up by the hardness minerals. If at just 1 faucet, it could be a matter of mixed metals causing some leaching.

Either way, we are confident that your local Kinetico installer will be happy to address this concern for you.

I always, for many years, had RO systems. So, I looked into the best one and that led me to Kinetico's K5. I’ve also seen ads in the local paper that comes in the mail and I am subscribed to Consumer Reports. A few years back, they had done a report on that system and that was in my head when I was thinking about making a purchase. It’s a pricey system but that was the biggest deterrent from buying it. In the end, I wound up getting it anyway after seeing all my options.

I had Kinetico come out and check out my waters. I get my water tested every year and I got way more details with our lab test than with on the spot testing from the Kinetico representative, so that wasn’t really a big deal to me. Then, Kinetico gave me some prices and told me what I needed or what would work best. I thought about it for a while and I didn't get everything they quoted me on. After that, I let a year pass then I reached out to our local Kinetico dealer and purchased a K5 from them.

I liked the different filter options and how you can configure it different ways. But I wasn’t crazy about the fact that we’re stuck with buying filters from the distributor and you can’t just buy them anywhere. That was kinda disappointing. But the system works great and I can’t complain about it. I’ve had other systems in the past that had good results and with them the canisters were something that you wash out, whereas with Kinetico, you just throw the whole thing out. So, there are disadvantages to that. But I’m happy with the K5. Kinetico's reps were really nice, too but I didn't want them to install it. I installed it myself, however, they sent out their tech to drop off the unit. He helped me with getting some stuff set up and gave me his number if I had any problems.

We've had water filtration and softener systems for several years. We got a Kinetico K5 as well as a water softener system and we've liked those the best. Setting up our appointment with Kinetico was very easy. Installation went well and their rep was very helpful. When we needed filters shipped to us, he went over how to change the filters. Within two to three days, the items were at our home. Thus far, we've been enjoying the system. Also, changing the cartridges are like a snap. Since having our Kinetico systems our water has been tasting good and taking showers has been wonderful. Washing clothes has been wonderful too, especially whites. I wouldn't wander away to any other brand. I've been spreading the word to people I know. If you're in the market to get a water treatment system, a Kinetico is what you need. It's definitely top-of-the-chain.

We bought a house that had the Kinetico system already here and then, we helped purchase a system for my daughter and her husband. Kinetico scheduled a person to come out and look at the setup that it would need, and then, they set up a time to come and install. We got the filtration system and they put it in the basement. They had to do some different things but they were able to do it. It took a half hour or so. It went smoothly and I appreciate that Kinetico has this option to make your water safer and healthier.

We moved into a housing community that's fairly new a lot of our neighbors are complaining about the water quality. My wife was complaining about hair fall. One of our neighbors brought in Mermaid company from Virginia and they were endorsing Kinetico filters. The lady who worked for Mermaid was knowledgeable and professional in her approach. She tested our water and once we decided we wanted a softener, she went through with my schedule and had a guy to come over and fix it with me. The installer did a good job and was pretty knowledgeable. With the softener I got, no power is needed and water pressure is enough to filter. Things have been good since we started using the system and my wife's complaints on hair fall have come down. Water has tasted a little differently too.

We have a 4010 series Kinetico water softener for our Arizona home. It's been installed for 7 years and we had the resin and carbon changed late last year out at a cost of $387 (plus tax) for a 20 minute job - they just changed the tanks, similar to rental systems that I have seen. Unfortunately, now the bypass valve is leaking from the housing (not the connections). It's a $139 service call to get our local Kinetico dealer to come look at it and of course that's before the cost of installing a new gasket (the gasket itself is theoretically free). The continued death grip Kinetico holds on allowing replacement parts sales in the US is inexplicable and while it nearly guarantees lifetime work for Kinetico, as a consumer, I will never buy another Kinetico system.

    Response from Kinetico Water Systems

    Hi Steven,

We appreciate your feedback. In reality, there is very little profit to service calls. The price of service is closely calculated to cover the expense of getting a trained technician to a home with the proper equipment so that an appointment is just 20 minutes and a home owner can go another 7 years or longer before needing attention.

You happen to have a softener that utilizes a sacrificial media, therefore the carbon does need to be changed out every 3 - 7 years.

We fully understand the do it yourself community and some people's ability to take tear down and rebuild products. This is not the case for most homeowner's, therefore the majority of our dealer's hold firm on their service terms.

It is certain that homeowner's understand that the in-home service industry, regardless the product; comes with a service and labor charge that at the first 1/2 hour seems high, but in reality; who wants to work on their heating, air, plumbing, dishwasher, water softener...

But, we are sorry to know that this has caused us to lose you as a customer. Please let us know how we might regain your confidence.

When I moved in to my house, I didn’t have a salt system. The water was having a sulfur smell. I interviewed a lot of water treatment system companies and they all gave me their pitch on what systems they recommend. Kinetico had the best warranty that I like because it covered everything. And if I’m gonna invest something, the amount of money and the amount what I expect the quality the product to have for a long period of time, I want the best warranty possible. Also, my neighbors and other friends of mine have Kinetico and they’ve all spoken very highly of it. So, I went off of friends’ recommendations as well.

Aqua Soft installed the Kinetico equipment, and then they sent me paperwork from Kinetico. But I didn’t have a good experience with Aqua Soft. The next day after they installed the equipment, water was leaking out of the salt tank connection. Aqua Soft called the next day to check on how everything was, and I went down into the basement to where the system is, and that was when I saw the water all over the floor and the actual dripping coming from the connection. I they hadn’t called and checked, I would never have known because I only go into that room periodically to refill the salt tank. So, I thank them for calling. But the big, tall, black long canisters where the carbon filter is were slanted. They weren’t straight up.

After arguing with the company to have them come out on that day because the water was actively leaking, they replaced the carbon tubes and fixed the connection. And then the next day, they came and took what they replaced those carbon tubes with, with the same black carbon tubes saying they had to make an adjustment. So, I said okay. Everything is working now but for three days, it wasn’t good.

I had other companies come in and they had to go into that room to get to my HVAC system. They made comments to me saying that, “Whoever installed this system, did it very shoddily.” There are wires hanging and things aren’t secure. I’m very apprehensive to call them back for anything, but I’m trapped with them because they’re the ones who installed the system. If I call anybody else, they’re gonna say they didn’t install it so it’s not their problem. But overall, the sulfur smell has diminished a lot since having the Kinetico system. There's no more rusting when I use my sprinklers outside. There’s no more rust coming and staining my house and my driveway. But when showering and washing dishes, I feel like things don’t get clean. There’s still a residue.

Our whole town doesn’t have city water. So, we’re on the well. We had the water tested and wanted to have the water pure for bathing and all that kind of things. I did my own research as far as what were some of the best systems out there, and we found that there was an installer that was within 25 minutes from our house, and got a couple of prices from him and some other systems. And Kinetico’s products were just far superior. We got a whole house water softener system from Kinetico. It's a reverse osmosis system, and everything has been great.

The owner of the company that we purchased from was super accommodating. He came out the following day after I called him, and he gave me a bunch of different options and what option would be best for me. Everything was very seamless. Kinetico wasn’t the best as far as price, but he explained to me why they were a little bit more expensive. And in doing the research, he was pretty much spot-on with what he said compared to other systems. I had a problem initially where I told him that it didn’t seem to be using any salt and one of the valves had actually been installed backwards from the factory, but they figured it out, and fixed it the same day. Everybody seemed to be fairly well-trained. The system is very efficient and doesn’t use a whole bunch of salt, and there’s no need for bleach and all that other kind of stuff that all these guys wanted to use. I would definitely buy it again. Kinetico has a great product and service.

The water here is hard as a damn rock. They put so much chlorine and stuff in it. I wanted to get rid of the calcium and lime buildup, and I wanted soft water. I saw Kinetico at a neighbor’s home and when they came out and went over the product and stuff, it was a no-brainer for me. I purchased three products from Kinetico because they're awesome. I’ve had them in three different homes. I bought my new system in July of last year when I bought a new house. I’ve had the reverse osmosis water, I had the soft water, and I love them so much. Several of my friends have actually installed Kinetico in their houses. Our dealer here, JF Denney, is awesome also so that helps.

The first house I bought had a RainSoft but it sucked. It wouldn’t rejuvenate. You’d run out and you didn't have any soft water. With the dual tank system on the Kinetico, you can never run out of soft water so it’s good. The other thing I love about it is when filling the pool, I can turn it to bypass and it doesn't have to go through the softener. It’s very easy and non-mechanical. The best part is there’s no maintenance and no power. It does its thing.

Kinetico stands behind the brand. The thing that makes Kinetico so different than RainSoft is Kinetico tests the hardness of your water when they install it. There’s a disc that goes on the top of the valve that determines how often the system has to rejuvenate. It’s nice that you can set it to rejuvenate more often and the residue doesn't get as built up with all the crud. It gives you super soft water and other systems don’t have that ability. You just get whatever it puts out.

Another reason we got it was for hair and skin. The girls in the house appreciate it. They say they can tell the difference.

One thing I wish I would’ve done differently is to contact Kinetico directly. I went through the Home Depot referral and I know I could’ve saved more if I would've went through them directly than the middleman of Home Depot. But other than that, setting up an appointment was easy. Jill was the one that came out and did the water analysis. She was good to work with. I’ve had Kinetico since we moved in the house. I had the well in, and up and running, but we weren’t using it domestically. We were using it for building the house. When I moved in, we put a regular filtration system in and it was the only thing I needed. A friend of mine owns a pool company and he is right around the corner. He could test for everything and we had the water tested a couple of times and they were saying we have hospital-pure water. The only thing we had was acid, so we put calcite in the tanks and that kills the acid. The old system lasted 25 years and I’m really happy with that but we’ve been getting filled here in Maryland with dreadful water. So, what was happening was my well water was picking up more sand because I never had the issue until this year. It’s probably what killed my old system. I don’t know why we were picking up sand and he couldn’t figure out either because I’ve been using this well for 40 years.

Our water table here in Maryland is just crazy. I sent a picture to the Kinetico dealer in Severna Park so he could he see the numbers and names of everything that I had and he took it from there. He came out and he had everything with him. We tried to figure out the sand and he couldn’t figure it out either. I had a filter on it, but he not only replaced it but he put another filtration system in. They took out the old system, got rid of it for me, put in a whole new system. I got the two-tank with a water monitor on top and the gentleman who put in the new system was great.

The nearest dealer for Kinetico was in Pennsylvania and we had one that was closer but this guy came up from Severna Park, which is two hours away from my house and he lined us up with a couple other customers. He was apologetic because he put me at the end of the list because of his route and I said we were fine. He was very prompt. He even asked permission because he told me that it would be late in the day. I wasn’t sitting there around, waiting for him. He called me in the morning and he gave me an approximate time, which was understandable, because if he had trouble with one of the other ones, it would take longer. He was in touch with me the whole time. He did everything and I wouldn’t have done that unless he told me because he was just out there. He was friendly, very informative, talked to me and took good care of me.

    Hi Helen,

A water softener removes hardness minerals of calcium and magnesium and also dissolved iron. A water softener does not lower tds or remove odor.

TDS (total dissolved solids) can be any mineral, metal or chemical. Reverse osmosis or distillation is the residential course of action for lowering TDS.

Rotten egg is typically associated with sulfur. We first advise you to determine if the odor is on the cold water, hot water or both. If on the cold water, the odor is probably produced in the well and that needs attention. If on the hot water, then the water heater will need attention.

You don't say that you have iron.

We'll touch base with your dealer and ask him to provide you a follow up consultation to review the product installed and test the water to confirm it's function.

We like knowing that the water we’re drinking is clean. We got the Kinetico whole-house water filtering system and the water was pretty much what I expected. We’ve used water systems before so we knew what they were like. There’s one issue though. The Kinetico salesman had made a deal about having ice that would be clear all the way through but and that has never happened. But that aside, the sales rep did an excellent job. The installation guy did a good job as well. The experience was very good overall.

I got a water softener system from Kinetico. The gentleman from Water Works came in and was wonderful. He told me what was going on, tested my water, did my schedule, came in and got rid of the old equipment. He was clean and thereafter, everything was the way it should be. Their team was clean, courteous, didn't leave a mess, made sure they didn't make one. However, their installer was gonna get back to me after so many times and I haven't heard from him. Even so, they were wonderful when they came to put the Kinetico system up. They left extra bags of salt and the guy who did it answered all my questions. So far, I've had a good experience with the system. It’s working better than my other system did. My water source is a well, and my concern was they had ochre in the water. It has always tasted different. With the system, it feels softer though. If anybody ever asked me, I would push Kinetico's product.

I have had the system for a number of years and have no complaints on the system itself, however I had an emergency leaking problem, water all over my basement. There was no service listed for the Caledon area, so I called the head office. They supplied a name of a company that does their service. Very surprised they don’t do their own service. Anyhow I had water all over my basement. The system was still leaking after I put it into bypass. Still leaking after I shut the water down completely. And still leaking after I went from bypass to red right off. Called the number supplied for service and they calmly said that no one could come out for two weeks!!!! I said what two weeks!!! So now I have diverted the leaking water to my sump pump pit and now forced to only turn the water on to the house when needed then off. Two weeks of this will not be fun!!! So Kinetico get your act together for service.

I was having a lot of hard water build-up problems. The company that I used to purchase a water softening system from recommended the Kinetico system but he price point was the same so that they didn't really have to compete on price. However, I looked up Kinetico and read the reviews about their system. I liked the fact that when the power goes out in the Kinetico system, it doesn't have to be reset because it's not running off of electricity. Setting the appointment with their sales rep was super easy and the company that I used did everything for me. They installed it, too and I didn't ever work directly with Kinetico. I worked with a third-party reseller called Karsare. The whole installation was also very easy except for one little hiccup with a valve set that was not quite right and they ended up having to replace that.

Since I got the system, I kind of use less of everything such as cleaning products. I'm also not getting quite as much hard water build-up. Before, I was having trouble with being able to get my clothes cleaned. So, that has improved. But it is a little harder to rinse my hair when I'm in the shower washing it because when the water is soft, you feel like you still have soap all over you even when you probably don't. So, I just rinse for extra long. Other than that, the system has been great and I wish I bought it a lot earlier. I was also surprised at how little salt it actually uses. It's really efficient. I've had it for a year now and I was expecting to have to add salt to it every other month. But I've only had to add salt every three months or every quarter. So, it exceeded my expectations. All in all, I'm very happy with my experience.

We got a K5 system from Kinetico. Before that there would be a water advisory, and I don't hear of it. I would be using water, and then all of a sudden I hear I shouldn’t be using the water. And then Kinetico came in to test my water free of cost. They were awesome to meet. They did everything right in front of my eyes so I'm able to see it. I saw all the impurities that was in the water and that was when I decided we should get the system. You could just stand and look at the water being changed with your own eyes. In less than 20 minutes, you got your proof. It was just amazing. I never had that experience before.

The guy that came in to install was very patient. I remember the day when he came. It was very cold and I told him, “Listen you don't have to be all day at work and end up cold.” And he said, “Well, if it was up to me, I would have stayed home, but I can’t tell my boss.” I said, “Okay, tell your boss that we said you don't have to put it on today. It’s too cold.” He said, “No.” He just went ahead and did his job. He was a very nice guy.

Since having K5 the smell of the water is different because my water always smells dank before. The only disappointment that I had with them is that they told me that they were gonna give me some supplies, which I didn't get. The financial company told me they did that all the time. And I was like, “Really?” And they were saying, “You're gonna have that experience. We don't have to tell you. So, if they don't give what they promised, just let us know.” She had told me that it would have taken a little time, so I said, “Okay.” And then, they sent me some sampler stuff, and then they said, “Okay, as soon as we get the stock back in, we’ll send it out.” But I haven’t heard from them. But other than that, Kinetico has been a good experience.

The installer did well too and we were satisfied. Their reps were very polite, helpful and courteous. They did the job, answered my questions, explained and showed me things that I ask questions about. I had one supplier that wasn't so helpful though. He just wanted to sell me a new unit instead of fixing the one I had. Apparently, he didn't stay with Kinetico for very long. There's a big difference in using soft water compared to using hard water. If I use the hard water, I'll get cracks in my skin. It dries my skin out. But when I use my water here at home, I don't have that problem.

The small towns around ours were finding amoeba in their water and were having Ebola advisories. It was never in our small town, but we were in the middle. Since I didn't want that to reach us, I decided to begin looking for water filtration systems. Aside from that, we were also having some water issues. I was very confused with what was on the market and I didn't have any testimonials.

I, however, have a common associate, Brian, and he told me about Kinetico. He is somebody who I've done business with. I also see what he's doing and I know that it's good. He wasn't gonna be involved in anything that wasn't quality and he was excited and enthusiastic about things. He asked me if I had any interest in getting a water system and if I had any complaints with my water. He then asked me to bring in a sample of my water the next time I was in town. He brought over a tester and showed me right before my eyes how I could have better water and how I can do a little better than what I was being offered by the city.

I got a water filter and one guy came to install the system. He was kinda odd, but he was nice. He knew filters. He however got very frustrated because when he originally came out, there was something he wasn't able to load onto his truck. He called his supervisor and he was trying to get out of the whole thing and to go and come back another day. That was the only time I had because I'm very busy on the weekends and so his supervisor told him that he was gonna meet him halfway and to get the installation done. He did. He came back.

Since having the filtration system, our water has definitely been clearer. We aren't a family who makes juices but I was challenged to do it by the representative. He told me that I would see a difference, and that I wouldn't have to use as much sugar and things like that. And it was true! It comforts me to have to use less sweetener. Also, now, I'm drinking my own water. Before, I was not trusting my parish's water and I was buying loads of bottled water and was spending so much money. I've brought water to other people and have told them that they should get Kinetico's system.

We talked to another company, and we weren't happy with what they were offering. The Kinetico rep, on the other hand, was very prompt in handling our original request, and their prices were a little cheaper. He came out and tested water. I had some concerns because somehow the heating oil got into all three wells and contaminated all of them, so we paid decently for a water system. But for every faucet that we wanted to have purified water, it would cost additional money, so we just went with the kitchen. The other waters we can bathe but we can only drink out of one faucet, which is in the kitchen. But that is fine.

Kinetico made sure that they were able to get the system installed quite rapidly. The gentleman that installed the system and did the manual labor was topnotch. But right after we had the system installed, we were disappointed because we started getting the sulfur smell. We were not apprised of the fact that the system that we put in would not handle both purification and the sulfur. Had they told us that at the onset, we would have seen what kind of deal we worked out to get to both systems.

This is my dad's home, but at 88 we can't leave him by himself. We spend a lot of time in New York, but we were here eight months last year dealing with this fuel spill. We just got back into town last Friday, and now, I'm starting to deal with the eggy smell. I put baking soda and vinegar down each of the sinks because the sulfur smell or the egg smell is bad. My dad, meanwhile, wants to install something to take care of the smell. It's embarrassing because we had someone come in to lay carpet yesterday and we had to open up all of the doors in the basement because it smells so horrible. Now, we're looking at spending another $3,500 this year to have a sulfur system put in.

The filter works and it's purifying something because it was filthy when we changed it. But a few days after we changed it, it was filthy again, so we know that it is trapping some of whatever's coming through the water system. But we've had the Kinetico system for a year now, and overall, we're pleased with it. We see that there is purification of the water and it's an easy, working system. We also know how to do what we have to do to change the filters.

Then a year or two later, I decided I would change the filters, and I contaminated the whole thing. But the Kinetico reps have been very good. I complained, and they listened and then the issue was taken care of. From then on, I had them come and do it.

We have two children for whom we bought the water system. It's just the drinking water and it's what we've had. Since purchasing from Kinetico, there has been a difference in the taste of our water. Our water has rust and everything else, and Kinetico's system did exactly what we wanted. The whole system, however, wore out after 25 or 30 years, and we had to change it. We know when our filters are going bad because we get a bad taste. But Kinetico has been a very easy company to get to. They've sold out and the new owner is doing a very good too. The new system seems to be better than the older one.

I have a well and I was having staining in my plumbing fixtures, so I figured I needed to get something, but I wasn’t sure what. I went to the dealer and he came out and tested, and he recommended the particular system for the high iron content in my water. After he recommended Kinetico Water Systems, I did some more research. The reviews were good and it looked like that their system was gonna be fine for what I needed, so I went with. The installer came out and tested the water on a Wednesday, then he arranged to have the system installed on Saturday. It was very quick and very easy. I'm close to Abita and my well taps into the Abita aquifer, so the water was good, but it had a high iron content.

My one concern is I saw a comment about water pressure not being affected and I notice that I have a water pressure problem, but I am not sure if it is my well pump or if it is due to the system. I really can't account for it until I can get some more information about water pumps. I don't know if a stronger or bigger water pump would alleviate the pressure problems. Also, I don't know if the low pressure is caused by the water system because I just moved into the house and I had the water system put in before I moved in, so I really don’t have a frame of reference.

It is a possible side effect. In the information that I read, it said that there should be no water pressure loss, so it tells me they probably addressed it, but, to some degree, I am gonna have lower water pressure because the system has gotta cycle. However, I don't know to the degree that is if it is the system or if it is the capacity of my well pump. Well pumps come in different horsepower and I don’t know what they installed there. Still, after the system was installed, I don’t have the staining anymore and the water quality has been good.

Installed a $5,000 system two weeks ago and is it’s not working. We cannot get a service appointment for 2 weeks. This seems crazy to me that it would take two weeks for a tech to come. Very disappointment that we paid this much for a system that does not seem to work from a company that does not seem interested in fixing the problem.

Living in an area where the water tastes bad and isn't really good, I've always wanted to put in a water system. So when I moved into a new house, I got Kinetico and I love it. Installing the system was straightforward and the people were wonderful to work with. When they think I need salt, they call me, and they bring the salt out to the house. They also answer any question. They're on top of everything and making it as easy as possible. Since having the system, the water tastes better. It's not harsh on other things like appliances, too. The Kinetico system is well worth it.

I had a Kinetico water system in my old house when I lived in Nebraska years ago and I liked the idea of their system being non-electric. This time, I got the dual gray tank that has a head on it as well as the dechlorinator. I like soft water, so I decided to use a water softener system, and it would be easier on the appliances too. The installation of the system went very well. I've had soft water since the system was installed. I've used less detergent and my hair feels better when I shampoo it. Overall, the people at Kinetico have been very good.

We purchased our first Kinetico water softener system about 15 years ago. I talked to Dick when he was at the winter show in Valley City. Both my parents had collagens and then my mom also had dry skin, so we needed a water softener. We've got really hard water. I run the water softener through the toilet systems because all of the valves don't get corroded. When the water softener tank was plugged up, we decided to trade it in, which was a good price for it. I then bought five water softeners from the new Kinetico dealer, who took over after Dick.

I’m satisfied with the service we’ve always got from Kinetico. Dick was a good dealer, and the new guy knows what he is doing. I have recommended Kinetico to the people around here. It is expensive to get into it. But once you're into it, you’ll save over the lifetime of the system and the salt you put through it because it doesn't take much salt.

She was very informative but not pushy. We have the water softener for six months now and we have been doing fine. But once in a while, the water has a salty taste to it and I'm not sure why. We've got the dual tank and it never runs out. It automatically switches back and forth, so I'm thinking there's a slight salt flavor to the water when it's switching over. Despite, I'm fully satisfied.

We have been with Kinetico for many years. We were with them in California and we've been here in SD for seven years. We worked with Julene who runs the Kinetico Water Systems in Sioux Falls for our systems in the two homes that we’ve had here. We’ve got a water softener and the drinking station, which is the best one Kinetico got. The drinking station cost a couple of thousand dollars.

Though we didn’t need a water softener in California, when we moved to South Dakota, the water’s hard. We just wanted good drinking water. So, we naturally went with Kinetico because we've used their reverse osmosis drinking system. For maintenance, we have a prefilter in the one place we have in Brookings. I replace the filter once a year. Also, we replace the filters in our RO system about twice a year. Kinetico has a great system and we have a lot of trust and respect for Julene. She has done a very good job for us, and we’d like to make sure that continues.

Kinetico took care of everything and I received excellent service from them. They're right down the street and when I called them, they were here in 30 minutes. It took two days to have the system replaced in our laundry and we had to have a plumber come and replumb everything. What I like about Kinetico's systems is that they run by what usage they can get. The laundry uses a lot of water and the system we have in there processes a lot of water. On the other end of the building, we use the system for a hand sink and that doesn't use a whole lot of salt and doesn't work a lot.

We got rural water, and I thought that was the best water until we got this thing. In addition to that, my wife says there's a huge difference in cleaning the shower. What I like about the Kinetico system is it's a salt-saving type. It recycles. It does one side, and then it won’t recycle until it needs it. And then, it switches to the other tank so you don't have to recycle every night. It's also water saving so it's great.

The one that I’ve had for 10 years has been trouble-free. I have my dealer change the pre-filter once every year and I use the salt that they recommend. I don’t have trouble with my systems because I don’t let them get in trouble. I fix them if they're broken and do preventative maintenance as well.

I own three Kinetico systems right now I have a Kinetico system in my current house and I bought two more systems recently. Four months ago, a Kinetico system was installed in my condo. Then I just bought my second one and it was installed in my motor home garage yesterday. Everything worked like clockwork in setting up an appointment with the retailer and getting them out. During the installation, they honored the appointments and didn't push hard. We were under construction [and had to work around the general contractor a little bit], so they were patient. Since having the Kinetico system, everything is a lot better with our water. We have an extremely hard water situation and you can tell the softness of our water now that we have the Kinetico system.
