My brother-in-law told me about Kinetico as he had used them previously. My water was hard and I called the Kinetico office in Phoenix and dealt with them. While the reps were good, we had some other issues. The person from Kinetico flooded my living room and he drilled the hole right smack in front of my house instead of using common sense and putting it over. I caught him at that. What's worse was that they didn't fix it. They just took pictures of it and I had to clean up the mess. Furthermore, I was upset that they don't take American Express. I'm paying close to five grand and that's the one card that I use for miles. They said it's on the website. I told them that I didn't go to their website and that I used the coupon that they put in the mail. Their sales guy never told me they didn't take American Express either. I was pretty ticked about that, because I would have gone to someone else. Still, after the system was installed, the water is almost too soft.

Hi Pamela,
We are sorry about your dissatisfaction with the American Express situation and the installation. We are confident that the dealer will want to make this hole situation right if they have not already.
As far as the softness level goes, there is no level of softness, only hardness. Once a softener has removed all the hardness minerals from the water, the softener is functioning as designed. Your dealer can assist with the installation of a blending valve if you would like some hardness added back in to the water.

I remodeled the kitchen and when I called to ask about reinstalling my 17-year old Kinetico R.O. system, I wasn't able to get Niña, the girl who was supposed to be in-charge of this, to call me back. So, I called at an odd time and I ended up getting the manager and he told me that my system was probably on its last legs anyway and that he could give me a really good deal on a new one. So that's what we did and he arranged everything. I bought an R.O. system to replace my 17-year old R.O. system. I've been with Kinetico for 17 years and I’ve had no problems with them. I have a water softener with them too.

Setting up an appointment with Kinetico was fine. The rep was knowledgeable and the installation team was very professional. I was concerned about the life of my appliances, and I purchased the RO system and water softener from Kinetico. Since purchasing the system, our water has been softer. We also had Kinetico 20 years ago, and if my friends want softened water, I would tell them to call Kinetico.

At our old house in Gilbert, we had used the Eco Elite water system, so we already knew that we wanted a water system at our house here. Kinetico Water Systems was saying that if we'd use their water system, at no time will hard water go through our lines because of the regeneration that it does, and that sounded good. I was also reading about how people get clean drinking water, but they don't get clean water for their whole house. Then there was a paper that reported recently how chlorine gets into your skin every time you shower.
So, I got one of Kinetico's whole home systems which has double tanks and purifies the water throughout the house and I also got the reverse osmosis system. Setting up the appointment with them was easy. The rep, David, came over and went through the water test, even though I told him that he didn’t have to since I already knew that our water was crappy, but he said that we could find out how bad our water really was. So then we went all the way through the water test and we found out that the hardness level of our water was 12 or 13. The rep was really good and I had great interactions with him. He went above and beyond in doing his work, so I was very impressed with him.
We got the water system installed before we even moved in, but I already know that there's a difference in our water. The water that we had in Minnesota where we had lived for a year is softer and the water tastes good, while the water here in Arizona tastes like crap. When we first moved down here, we used Cal Seal soap in the shower, but we had used a bunch of this soap at that place, whereas here I just use a little dab and I'm good to go. I've already told people about Kinetico.

I looked up water system companies and it took a couple of years for me to make a decision of which I wanted to use. The Kinetico system was its own and it didn’t need electricity in getting it going. It also uses less water per waste water. I figured I’d try them and their representative came out quickly and accommodated the questions I had. He gave me information on how things worked and we went from there. The installation went well too. I had hard water and now it’s soft. One can definitely tell the difference. Kinetico's product and service are good. I recommend them.

Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for the recommendation!

When the softener was first installed it, everything was a little bit off ratio. So, Jack came out, did a follow-up about six weeks after it was installed and it wasn’t even that long when he came back out, tested it, noticed that the water was still a little hard, and called for a service technician the following Monday. And now, everything seems to be perfect.

A couple of years ago, I had a guy from Kinetico come out and was not impressed by him. He went on this long presentation about the water softener and RO and I wasn’t at that time interested in a water softener. So, I purposely stopped all my correspondence with Kinetico at that point. And then I waited until last year to reopen my inquiry with all the water softener companies. I called Kinetico back and this time I was able to get a different sales person.
I bought a water softener and an RO system from Kinetico. I notice that the water is soft majority of the time which my previous water softener was doing. However, the way that it is cycled out before was a little bit different. I had it on our system a long time ago and I have been buying bottled water for the longest time. I still buy bottled water so I can give it to guests but it’s a lot easier to have an RO system. I’m trying to figure out the cost of the filters compared to the amount of money I’m spending in bottled water, but I think the actual filter is gonna end up being more expensive rather than me just buying cases of bottled water from Costco.
I’d tell others to shop around. I’m still trying to justify whether this extra money is worth it. My friend bought one for about a $1000 cheaper through a different company and I said “Okay, I’ll be the guinea pig and buy us the more expensive one and then let’s keep in touch and see how happy he is with his and how happy I am with mine and we’ll go from there.” He seems to be extremely happy with it. One thing that he has which Kinetico doesn’t is this little display that tells him how many gallons of reverse osmosis water he had left and also notifies him as to when he needs to put salt in there. Mine just tells me once it runs out, I change the filters. So, this seems a little old school to me.
As for the whole sales experience, the sales person was great. One thing that I felt a little uneasy about was I had received some solicitation in the past from home shows and maybe even something in the mail and something posted on the website that offered a discount. But when I inquired about the discount, they immediately dismissed it saying it was either I already applied to the proposal they gave me or was not valid and there wasn’t any disclaimers or anything on the discounts I received. So, it seemed very grey.

The old water filtration device that I had didn’t use any salt, so I figured something was wrong. My fiancé told me about Kinetico and one of the neighbors have it. Everything went real good when I set up the appointment and their people seemed very knowledgeable. We ended up getting the water softener and an RO system and everything has been working fine. The installation was fantastic and the guy who did it was fast and efficient. He explained some things to me, brought me out and showed me.

I purchased a water softener and a reverse osmosis system from Kinetico. I heard that Kinetico is a good company and I had a couple of recommendation. I just made the inquiries through the web page and I requested a quotation. I got the quotation, had a couple of discussions, and we fixed the price and then we set up the installation appointment. Since having the products from Kinetico installed, we have a good quality drinkable water and we feel a difference in our hair when we get a shower, wash dishes or glasses, and we have the option to cook our vegetables with good quality water.
Kinetico's products are not cheap but they're a good product. I was surprised when we had the appointment after everything was installed and the sales person told us that we do not have cold water in the kitchen sink through the system. And he gave us an explanation how the systems were installed so that nobody can really bypass the flow of the water coming into the house or to the kitchen. But, I didn’t get it completely and I was disappointed because that was mentioned only after everything was installed and not beforehand. So, it felt like they were skipping that information.

We bought a house in June and it didn’t have a water softener in it so we were concerned with the water quality. We spoke with one of the reps from Kinetico at the home and garden show and we bought from them a water softener and a drinking water thing. Their sales rep was extremely professional and explained in detail their systems, the process and the cost. They also demonstrated the difference with the water purification system. They did an excellent job. We installed the drinking water and the water softener after we purchased the home and since the installation, we could tell the difference right away.

We have had our Kinetico system for 30 years and we were familiar and comfortable with it. When it ruptured a tank and it dropped all of its resin on the floor, we automatically replaced it. The young man who came was competent and knew what he was doing. The system was installed comfortably in a timely manner, so we were very satisfied with it. The whole thing was worth $4,200 and it was just very expensive. But everything is working fine right now and we're satisfied customers. We’d recommend Kinetico to anyone who's asking about a water softening program.

I had a softener where I lived before. I lived only 27 miles from where I live now in Florence, Arizona, and the water there is extremely hard. So, when I moved here to Casa Grande, I just assumed. I bought a new townhouse and I paid the extra 500 for them to put in the softener loop in my house so I can get a softener system. I was looking up softener systems and everybody was telling me about Kinetico. I bought the whole softener system from them and it does my whole unit.
Setting up the appointment was good. They told me they were gonna be out here on Thursday at 2, and they were here on Thursday at 2. They explained in great detail about the system and the different options, and that was good. My husband wasn’t home at the time and they wanted his driver’s license for the financing. So, I e-mailed them and for whatever reason, somebody forwarded us off to Mountain America, the financing people, but nobody at the Kinetico office got that information.
I like Kinetico's product. The only thing is there seemed to be a lot of confusion. I had first financed it and I paid that loan off. But, they kept wanting papers. I had the financing through Mountain America and they were good, too. I had a hard time paying them off but somebody got that organized. I didn’t know that they do share branching and that I could go to a credit union here and pay them off. I tried to pay off the financing online and it doesn’t do that. I owe them close to five grand and it wouldn’t take that amount of money. So, finally, when I went through and got customer service, and they told me where I could go to write a check. Other than the paperwork, the product itself is great. I don’t regret to have and got it.
Since I got the system, when I'm taking a shower, it feels like I’ve already put a body wash. My skin feels really slippery. The water is so soft. It already feels like there’s soap when I haven’t used soap. There is a difference. It’s a very good system. One of my neighbors in one of the older units got a softening loop, but they didn’t put an outlet by the softening loop, and at this time, nobody could put a softener in because there was no electricity there. But, I like that Kinetico doesn’t need that. I don’t use that outlet.

The water in Phoenix is not good. We moved out here in 1977, got Kinetico a year later and have had it ever since. I have the whole house unit with the thing in the kitchen and filtration. I loved talking to the representative that was here. He was very knowledgeable, could definitely hold your attention and answered any questions we had. Installation was very pleasant as well. The guy was efficient, personable and great. He did his job and left. My husband and I both loved the system but he’s passed away. I moved and got a little bit smaller home and so now, I want to put Kinetico into this home as well. I also wish everybody would have the opportunity to try Kinetico. They would definitely want it.

Hi Betty,
Thanks for sharing such a great testimony! We're sorry for the loss of your husband.

I started seeing calcium build-up everywhere and we were buying a lot of Sparkletts, but they kept on raising their prices and it wasn’t worth it. I grew up on an RO system in my dad’s house, so we wanted to give that a try. I called Kinetico and Chris came over and sold me on it. We had a water softening system but we bought the house two years ago and the system wasn’t set up. He showed me his and it looked like a lot less space, so I went ahead and got that too. We got the RO system and the carbon water softener, and the installation was good. They were quick about it. However, the guy that did it took my old system out but he left a mess with screws, bolts and washers everywhere. He didn’t care and he didn't clean up after himself. The mess was in my driveway and garage too. I swept it up because I didn’t wanna get a flat tire. But now our water is a lot better and softer.

We had a Kinetico water softener when we first moved into this house. We bought the house in August and in February the following year, we bought a Kinetico whole house water softener. I heard stories about the hardness of water when we got the house and Kinetico only activates with the water flow. When the unit I had gone bad, I couldn’t afford to replace it at that time so Kinetico's rep told me to hold to it and it’s worth creating value.
I told the guy that I still have the softener hooked but it was not hooked up to the pipes anymore. He looked at where the old softener was once housed. I agreed for him to do it when he said that we can put the new system in there and it would work for me. The new system got installed quickly and I like it. When I called for repairs, they would tell me little secrets about saving the system. I recommended the Kinetico water softener unit to my parents.

We bought this house a couple of years ago and it had a water system in it, but it wasn’t working. Having a water system was one of the things that we've been wanting to do. I wanted a better unit that didn’t take a lot of water and doesn’t take a lot of salt. We did some research on Kinetico and I bought the water softener and an RO system from them. I liked that their system didn’t have the timer and all the electric stuff on it.
The appointment with the people at Kinetico went very well. When the sales guy came out, he did a water test on the hardness of the water and then compared it to their drinking water. And then after the installation of their system, which went very well too, he came back two weeks later and retested the water. He made sure everything was working good. I was impressed with the whole process. It was quick as soon as he came out and did the demonstration, and we liked that. He scheduled for service which was supposed to be on a Friday but I told him that I work on Fridays, but Saturdays would work better for me. He then said that they'd have to see what they could do. They ended up making a Saturday appointment for me so I didn’t have to take time off of work for the installation. The technician that came out was great and he explained everything.
When we did our follow-up with the salesman, he re-explained everything. He came out and made sure the install was done properly and up to their standards. Since the purchase from Kinetico, the water feels a lot better and we can use less soap. We got rid of the water machine that we had, so we’re saving money with Kinetico's system. Also, we can drink water right out of the tap now. We have a little thing on the sink and they ran it to where it goes to the refrigerator, so we have good water in the refrigerator as well. If the power goes out, I have to worry about resetting the system since it winds off the water pressure. I put salt in it every couple of months and I'm good to go. Kinetico is great and their staff are very knowledgeable and we’ve talked to other people about them already. We’ve had three different water systems at three different houses and the Kinetico water system has been the best experience that we’ve had.

Our neighbor had Kinetico's water softening system put in and she said she was really happy with it. That interested us and we decided to try it. We got filters under our sink, a little deal to get water and another this deal out in our garage. Their team member came and tested our water. The installation people came and they were very nice. Also, when we asked questions, they were able to answer. A month after installation, another guy came and we checked everything to make sure it was all circulating. Since having the system, everything has been good. My body and my head aren't itching that much anymore. Also, I had to put a bypass filter in the fridge so that the water from the Kinetico system would go through and our ice is now almost clear. It's a very good system.

I had a water softener system installed in my home. One of the techs drilled a hole in my drywall and my dryer vent pipe, which could’ve lead to mold and other issues. I contacted Bob ** operations manager for resolution, we had scheduled at least 4 appointments for him to come out and check the issue. He was either late or a no show to the appointment, causing me a loss of income because as a business owner if I’m not providing the service I do not make any money. A repair guy was finally scheduled to come and again 3 days here with a loss of income because of the approval process he had to go through.
I’ve been contacting the company and seeking compensation comparable to the loss of income I incurred and no resolve. This whole process has been over a month and a half and had I known this was going to be the case I would’ve had this system removed from my home because it is not worth my time to deal with their incompetence.

He had the brochure, let me looked through it and answered any questions that I had. I purchased the whole-home system and the reverse osmosis system from them and the gentleman that installed the system was fantastic. It was a little bit different than what they thought it was gonna be but still, he had a great attitude. It took a lot longer than he thought but he fixed it all up and got everything perfect for me. Since then, the water tastes much better and my skin is a lot softer. I also scraped all the gook off the faucets and nothing has come back. I'm really happy with it.

He's really cool, entertaining and confident with his product. We purchased a softener from them that got two little tanks, and it was expensive. Then they had somebody else come out to install it, and they were very good and polite. Since we got our system, there was a huge difference in our water. All the dishes coming out are spot-free. Having a water softener helps with not having hard water spots and mineral deposits building up on piping and fixtures, so that led me into researching water softeners and filtration systems. I was referred by a family member that owned Kinetico Water Softener. They still buy it and they said it was great, so I went with Kinetico. I purchased a product from them about six years ago and my experience with the Kinetico team has been really good so far. I have had them come out only once since installing and they seemed to be super good to work with when they installed it. I believe that I get what I pay for with Kinetico and that they are reliable. From our previous experience with some other house that we've had in another different softener, it didn't go through nearly as much salt and it makes sense not to have to keep replenishing that salt if it's not needed, so it was nice to know that it was very efficient that way.

Our first house that we ever bought had a Kinetico reverse osmosis unit in it and we rented it from them then. Then when we bought another home and we had a Kinetico unit put in, they were very helpful and professional. We have a Kinetico water softener and a reverse osmosis unit. I’ve always had soft water and it really saves. I like KInetico because they’re here and I can get help. When I go into the store, the reps show me their new products and how it works and what not to do. Also, I can buy the maintenance and it pays for the service calls when they have to come out and do anything. Once a year, I usually have to have that reverse osmosis filter changed. It’s about $100 so it’s not anything big, and it is just normal wear.
I’ve got the Kinetico system hooked up to my refrigerator and it makes ice, and I love the taste of the ice a whole lot better than it used to be. Also, I use the water that goes through the refrigerator. It’s cold and it tastes good. I definitely see a change in water quality that way. And with the water softener, I use less soap. The water is easier on my clothes and hair and it’s better for my skin. I was raised on a farm where we had nothing but hard well water and I thought well water was wonderful. But now that I’m on city water, I've got reverse osmosis filtered water to drink and I’m well pleased. I was married for 38 years and we had a unit all that time. And they come on a regular schedule every couple of weeks, so if we have a problem, we have to wait until they come.
We have the whole-house water softener and then we have a K5. The installers came at the appointed time, were in and out of the house pretty quickly and were efficient and pleasant. The hard water was damaging our bathroom and kitchen fixtures, and we were concerned about having good quality drinking water. Now our fixtures look better and the water tastes great. We had really hard water. When I saw that Kinetico was doing free water test down at the local Home Depot, I took some of our water and had it tested and the hard water was atrocious. We were off the charts. So I went ahead and got their water softener and they came out and put it in. That was six years ago and the results were instantaneous. All the scale, the cloudiness of the glasses and everything went away. Before, every three days we had to put a cleaning solution in the dishwasher to get all calcium buildup. We haven't done that since we had the system.
We also had an RO system put in and I love it as well. We use it for drinking, to make coffee and to make ice. And the ice comes out crystal clear. We don't cook with it because I figured the other system is good enough for that. The filter that we have in there is a 500-gallon filter and it would take us a year and a half to use it up. I go down to the store to buy the filters and the owner's son winds me up. He knows what we have. The last time we had the filters, I was busy and he swung by when he was headed home that night and he did it. Kinetico is really good to work with.

With my previous water filtration system in California, my stainless sink in the kitchen was discolored. So when I bought another house in Northern California, I switched to Kinetico. The brand doesn’t use electricity and I never had a problem with hard water marks on the shower. Also my family is very sensitive to the taste of water and it has a very good tasting water result. The company also religiously look at my records and they have a marker there as to what date they may be calling for my filter change, and they even send the mailer. So I’m very happy with their service.
So before I moved to Arizona, the Kinetico sales office was one of the things I looked for. I called their office and make sure I was on top of the line and I wanted them right away. I told them what I have and asked them if it would be the same equipment I would be using, which they confirmed. So I’m still with Kinetico and I currently live in the desert. It’s hard water here and I have to make sure that I have water that doesn’t have any taste.
The installation was smooth. They were there when they said they would be coming and when they left, everything was in orderly fashion. So, it was really painless for the homeowner. Also, the person knows what he's doing and makes sure he doesn’t leave with any leaks or whatsoever. So whether I was in California or in Arizona, their service is consistent.
In Northern California, they have a different line for soft water and there is no connection if you have to put a reverse osmosis. But here in Arizona, the Kinetico person told me that the water in the icemaker and the new spout for the drinking water was salted. He connected it and now the entire house softener is one with the reverse osmosis, which is great. Also, the manager who I spoke to was fantastic. Kinetico has a great system and it cannot be compared because the other companies, once they've installed something, it's your responsibility to call them just in case there's a problem. If somebody asks me what will be a good system, Kinetico is the only one I'll recommend.

I got hard water in my area, so I looked into having a water treatment service. The Kinetico Water Systems installation went well and it took them a couple of hours to finish the job. It was quick. Now, I don't see any hard water stain. I got reverse osmosis also and I don’t see any hard water buildup. The Kinetico reps also called me up about the service plan, but I wasn't interested in it because my equipment is good. My friends and family also have some Kinetico stuff.

I built a house and had the water tested and it was off the chart hard. So, rather than risk my pipes being clogged up, I got a water filtration system. When I scheduled my appointment with Kinetico, it was excellent. Their rep, Joseph, made several trips to my house because the plumber had hooked everything up wrong underneath. The hot water was coming through the cold line and the cold water was coming through the hot line. Joseph kept coming until they got it right. I had told Kinetico that I didn’t want soft water because I remembered from my mom say that it made you feel like soap was staying on your skin and he assured me that that would not happen and it really does not. My skin is very much softer and my laundry is very much cleaner now.

I'm very pleased with the performance and reliability of my softening system. Drain installation has been a little challenging, have tried two setups, and I’m still not completely satisfied with that aspect. One obstructed floor, second is noisy. My only equipment suggestion is to place a user-friendly button on the unit to force a backwash cycle, rather than requiring a Phillips screwdriver. My home is occupied part time, so I like to cycle the unit upon arrival.

I checked around here in town and people recommended Kinetico Water Systems, so I gave them a call. They came out and tested and their rep seemed to be knowledgeable and wasn’t overly pushy. I had built a home and we’re on our own well. There was a lot of iron and there was no gas there, and that made my water smell like sulfur. So, I had to get a water softener to pull the iron out of the water. I liked the pricing of Kinetico Water Systems and the company that I worked for has dealt with them before, so it was through word of mouth that we went with them. We took advantage of their free water test and that was where we found out what was wrong with our well water. We got a water softener unit from them.
The gentleman from Kinetico came out after office hours and he helped us get signed up. The gentleman that I spoke with was also the one that came out to put the equipment in, so it was a really good experience. He was quick and efficient, and he showed me how to use the equipment. At this point, my water does not smell like sulfur anymore. Also, the water softener unit holds up our fixtures and it really helps out our appliances. If you're local here, go with Kinetico because they’ve done right by me. They’ll work for you and for your business as well, and their equipment will hold up to whatever you need it to do.

We had an RO system that we bought at Costco, but it didn’t seem like it was working. I researched and Kinetico seemed to be the best for the RO system. We bought one a year and a half ago and my wife liked it. We also had a Kenmore water softener that kept breaking down. We decided to put the Premier home system unit in because the hard water was starting to build up on our floors and on places where the water would pool. We had the same salesperson for both products. He was very good and informative. When I called, he had always gotten back, answering the questions that I had. He was always there and he wasn’t high pressure at all. He just came out, presented the product, and then let us make the decision.
There were two different installers, and they were very professional. They had gotten the installation done really quickly. The RO system installers were nice, friendly and did what they needed to do professionally. Plus, they rerouted the stuff that we wanted to have for the RO system. They ran the line into the refrigerator which has water and ice. Then we also rerouted on the home system. With the Sears unit, several times when it discharged, it broke the line and I would have runoff off the roof. They suggested we reroute it to where the washing machine dispenses the gray water rather than on the roof. The RO system has worked well. The technician came in December and replaced all the filter units when it needed it. The units are higher priced than most, but you get what you pay for. I would recommend it.

Our water had always tasted bad and we live in a certain area with lots of runoff, so we felt we should go a step further than the UV light and do a filter. Kinetico Water Systems did a presentation and their rep, Joseph, talked about different stuff. At that point, we knew what we were gonna do and he gave us our options for installation. We got the purifier, but the installation guy was new and it took him a while to install it. He didn't have the right part and that postponed things. He had to wait for a certain part to get shipped in and he had to come back about two more times. Also, something popped off where the system was hooked up and flooded our kitchen but my husband fixed that.
Then two days later, I heard something fall and I looked under and water was coming out again. It was the tube that goes to the sprayer of the sink. They cut that off to install the water filter and something that had just been plugged into that pipe fell out. At that point, I called them back. In a week, we had two problems with the system and one was really bad. A guy named Tim came out and fixed it, and he was pretty good about wanting to make it right in a couple of days. But the original installation was pretty wonky. Whatever was plugged into that thing, shouldn't have been. Tim said that he was surprised it even held as long as it did. The guy that installed it was brand new and maybe someone should have been with him. Since the installation though, the water tastes better.

He did a good job. They came and put a system under the sink improving the water. I've had water systems for a whole bunch of years. When the one I had didn't work efficiently and I could never find filters for the drinking water system, so the water was nasty, I decided to buy a new system from Kinetico. I called their number and made an appointment for the salesman to come over and tell me all about their product. That process was really easy. Then, I filled out some paperwork because I needed to get a company to go ahead where I can pay a monthly payment. So, that went through and the man called me back. Then, a gentleman came and installed the system in a day because I already had all of the pipes out there, so he didn't have to worry about that. He was very polite and he knew what he was doing. And it went through really good.
For the first few days, I thought the water tasted all right but after a period of test, I'm not sure about it. When I fill up a glass of water, there's something floating around in it. So, I need to have somebody come out and explain this to me. I don't know if they're bubbles or if they have something having to do with the salt. So, I don't really like the taste of the drinking water yet and somebody needs to check the drinking water system. There could be something still in the pipes from the other system that was in here already when I bought this place, but it got worse. Other than that, I would give Kinetico an excellent mark. Everything went honky-dory for me and I like the system. I would recommend it as well.

I am having some problems with my Kinetico water softener right now. I’m getting some brine feedback at weird times. But before this, it had been good in the three years since we got it installed. We are on well water and I was concerned about the hardness and the smell of the water. I wanted something, and Kinetico was a lot cheaper. I still ended up paying 3,000 dollars, which was a lot of money, but I decided to go for it.
I called Kinetico and the appointment was scheduled. It was very prompt. But there was something wrong with the guy who sold the water softener to me. The appointment took a lot longer than I thought it needed to. He was trying to sell me on it and there was all this explanation about who’s using the product, like NASA and some companies. I sat there for a half hour listening to that when I didn't even care. Maybe that works for some people. Maybe that will help sell the product but using common sense, I don’t think people would have a representative of Kinetico out unless they were interested in purchasing a product. I was interested in the products. I wanted him to just tell me about the product, test my water, tell me how the product is gonna improve my life and then tell me the price. That aside, I like that the Kinetico water softener doesn't run on electricity and that it is a mechanical-induced system. That's nice.

Told it would fit in our crawl space and use very little salt, only when regenerating. On the day of the installation, we were told it wouldn’t fit in the crawl space and had to remove a sink in the laundry room to install on first floor. System wasn’t large enough, as mentioned and after several attempts, it was replace with another one with massive salt tank. Water is OK now, but using about 150-200 pounds of salt a week, filter fails when we use the system and fails when not used (summer home) and the condensation tray has 1/2” standing water during warm weather. As I said, water is OK, but may not have spent the money had I know the true circumstances.

Our tank is one of the big ones where one can put seven bags of salt and we could go through that in a month and a half. But it seems like something’s off with it. We got Kinetico's water softener and the reverse osmosis system. The nearest town to us that has Kinetico is Twin Falls which is about 60 miles away or so. I called them straight up, asked if they could come out and do a water test and then talk me through a water system. I had a great interaction with the people who did the water test. They were quick and precise and they came out right away. I knew I have hard water but I was just curious if there's any other leakage to some chemical or if there are too many heavy metals.
The installation took longer than what I expected as I live in an older home that was originally a homestead back in the day. They had to do a little extra work to it versus a newer home but they did great. They told me upfront that it was gonna take just a little bit longer. It was just an extra day since they have to get some extra parts. Other than that, it was fine. Nothing that alarmed me about any issues and I thought they were great people.
My husband has been apologizing to me for years and telling me we should have gotten the water system sooner. He said that the taste of the reverse osmosis water is phenomenal compared to what we were drinking beforehand. I am all thumbs up for Kinetico based on such a black and white difference that it did to my house. My husband could tell the difference too when he bathes and soaps up. He was a burn victim so he has lots of burn scars on his body. His scars, in general, have softened and he does not have to attend to them as much as in lotioning and oiling himself. And then when they tested my water I had 22 grains of aragonite. Compared to the other people I’ve had in for quote and just consultation the Kinetico representative and the group itself have one the best reputations in the area. And I felt that the name versus what I was gonna be paying for such a quality system was worth it.
The sales rep was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, very informative and was excellent at explaining everything. He did a couple of different demonstrations right there with my water to show me what it was I’m not necessarily seeing, such as the fact that my clothes weren’t washing that well, and why I was replacing my dishwasher that had fallen apart because of the hard water.
I agreed to let an installer come that had not done one by himself yet. He was relatively new with the company but had been training for quite some time. And it gave me the opportunity to actually learn a little bit more because he had to call and ask questions occasionally which he would show me what he was confused with. But overall, they did a great job because when he was having issues they came and helped him. The system was fixed on the same day. Originally, their target was approximately five hours but it took them a little bit longer. But they made sure it was buckled and buttoned up, and they were gone before five in the afternoon.
I have the RO system installed with it, so I had much better drinking water. It also made a difference with my refrigerator, my new dishwasher, my hair rinsing, so shampoo and conditioner was rinsing out. I wasn’t having a dry scaly skin and my clothes definitely feel cleaner and don’t seem much stiff. Despite it sounding to be a little bit pricier compared to some of the other competitors in the area I would highly recommend for anybody to at least give Kinetico the opportunity to come and explain their products and systems in your home. Am waiting to see how much the yearly maintenance is going to be and how much of a hassle it is. That will mean a lot towards satisfaction of product.

Hi Barb,
Thanks for letting us know. The size of the softener is determined by the quality of the water. We have shared this information with your local installer. Sometimes, there are alternate drain installations that can be utilized.

Kinetico was being offered through the state of Maine. We purchased a water softener and our experience setting up the appointment and speaking with the rep as well as the installation were very good. Everything went smoothly and it's been good with the new system. We had a system before, but it was getting very old and it wasn't removing quite as much as the iron as we would have liked. And so, this new one is certainly an improvement.

I bought an old house and it had an old water system where a guy came and switched the tank monthly, and I didn't like how the water tasted and how I felt in taking a shower, so I opted to switch to a new system. We got a water softener and filtration system from Kinetico Water Systems. Setting up our appointment with their reps was easy. They came out, tested our water, looked at what we had, and told us what systems would work better for us. The test results showed that our water had high iron and no nitrates, and the rep was shocked with that. It was a little on the hard side. Then we picked the system that would work best for us.
Now that our system has been installed, our water is really nice and I don't mind drinking it now, and I also don't itch anymore. In addition, we've put new sinks in and the water is not leaving any stain in the sinks anymore. To maintain our system, we just have to add salt and change the filter every three months. The system's cost was a little higher than what I thought it should be, but other than that we've been happy with Kinetico so far.

I got Kinetico's water softener and pure water purification system. I just had checked with my plumber and the online reviews that I found indicated that it was one of best on the market and had lower use of salt and less maintenance than others. Our water was hard enough so that we saw rust stains in the toilet tanks. The taste was fine but we definitely noticed the softened water now. And because of the purification system we have stopped buying bottled water. Everything was excellent with their reps. Everything happened according to my expectations and they were very timely and very professional. From my research Kinetico is one of the best on the market and it has proven to be true.

I was told to expect the basic filters to last 12 months based on our family size. Only lasts 8 months (very expensive filters). Also, the faucet keeps getting loose, where it attaches to my stainless steel sink. A poor design, the nut won’t stay tight. And the nut is unreachable, even with a basin wrench, unless the garbage sink disposer is removed first, a real hassle. Kinetico could have done better. But the water quality has been good, something I expect after spending over $2,000 for.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for letting us know of your experience. The filters are designed to shut down every 500 gallons of water used to insure timely filter changes and regular maintenance of the unit, for longevity of membrane life.
Kinetico uses quality materials in it's workmanship, so we are sorry to hear of the issues you've had with the faucet. We'll touch base with your installer.

We've got the systems since March, when we moved in, and they are working well. They’re self-sufficient and we haven't had any re-testing of the water since they put it in. I peek at the salt level every now and then, and it is fine. There's no rusting, spots, funny taste or smells in our water. The Kinetico water systems worked for us and I would recommend them to others.

Kinetico sent us a sales personnel who explained the softening system that would be an equivalent-type replacement and was cost-associated. During the installation, the tech was running late in the day and there were problems which created other problems with our water system. The initial install took two and a half to three hours, and then there were two other service calls out to address other issues. We have had to replace the pre-filter for our whole house, but it's working fine and the RO system is really nice. The RO works great for drinking water. I move around a lot and have purchased 3 systems from Kinetico. I was a big fan of the brand and quality of the water. I have never had a problem with a system in the past and would swear by their product. Unfortunately, I can no longer sing their praises. While on vacation a part failed and flooded our downtown condo. When we got home we called the local installer who came out and fixed the unit. Our floors and base trim were ruined. We filed a claim and they sent it off to Kinetico. After several months of not hearing anything I began to send email after email all with no response. I finally used LinkedIn to get the names of senior management and copied as many as possible on my emails.
I got a response the next day from a mediator telling me that he was trying to settle our dispute and that I had rejected the company's offer of $10,000.00. I explained that I had never received any offer and that he was in fact the first contact I have had with anyone. He was surprised by this, but then offered me $10,000.00 stating that it was as high as they were going to go. In my claim I had attached two different companies flooring quotes and both came in at over $13,000.00 and this didn’t include baseboards, mold mitigation and a bunch of other items. I explained that I didn’t want any extra money and that they could just pay exactly what contractors charged, and that I just wanted my house back to normal. I rejected the their offer.
They then "sent the part back to engineering for further review". They determined that I possibly broke the part because there is no way it waited two years to fail if it was defective. They since have denied entire claim. I am left with costly lawsuit option where I can’t recover legal fees even when I win due to the way the laws are, or have my own insurance fix up my place and hopefully recapture some of the money through litigation with them. Please find the attached denial letter. I am certain that nothing dropped on system, there is not enough clearance for something to drop or hit the top of this casing and it would show some kind of damage or mark should that have been the scenario. From the image one can also see that the system cannot fall over because it is nestled comfortably between cabinet wall and sink piping.
I have been a customer three separate times, in three separate states, I have spent thousands of dollars with them, I have given referral after referral and they could not have cared less about me as a customer. No one spoke to me from the company, nobody even offered a "no-fault" apology that this happened. The quality of the water is great, but if anything goes wrong you are on your own. Buy at your own risk.

The drinking water has been commended on by family that came over. They noticed there was no cloudiness in the ice cubes anymore and they liked the drinking water better. Perhaps some minerals were flavoring the well water in certain ways that I got used to so when they removed it, it took me a little bit before I liked the water as much as they did. But I love the ice cubes and the fact that there's no more rust so we've been very happy. It’s a fairly new system for us and so far, we haven’t had any issues. I had been renting a water softener from a local supplier and wasn't completely satisfied with it and I started researching it. I talked to a sales rep from Kinetico and everything went well except my understanding was I was getting a bigger unit than what they presented me with. I told them what I was looking for and what I wanted. Plus, I gave my referral from a friend of ours that added the system in. So, I was under the assumption I was getting the same system. When they came out and delivered it, it was a smaller unit and cost a lot more than what my friends paid. But they had their unit for six years and I went and thought that the price wouldn't go up that much.
I purchased the water softener system, inline water pre-filter and I’m renting the osmosis. Since then, everything seems to be working well and when we put the pre-filter in, it took a lot of the sediment out and that helped greatly. They told me the unit they put in was more than adequate for our need. It cycles a little bit more than what they were representing but that isn't a big deal. It doesn't make really that much noise unless you're in the same room that it is. Their people were courteous but when they came out to install, they had a trainee doing the installation. He messed up and forgot to connect a drain line. Luckily, I called them before they left the yard. Also, they had to put an additional faucet on the sink for the osmosis and within two weeks, that faucet fell apart. It wasn't installed properly and I wound up having to get underneath there and reinstall it. So, that wasn't a happy experience.
I'm overall satisfied with the equipment but not with the representation of it and the installation. You should make sure to understand exactly the unit you're getting and there are no surprises when they deliver it. You should understand the size and the capacity of it. If you don't think you're receiving what you paid for, it's gonna leave a bad taste in your mouth.

They put it in the $3200 Kinetico system which takes the hard water and converts it to where it doesn’t ruin your faucets, but I still drink bottled water. I stopped down there and said I didn’t want to afford it and somebody came from their office. It’s like a $40 fee and I said, "No. That’s all right." The system's all right but you gotta change the filters every so often and they’re $21.
The guy who tested it out when he was selling the different models that they put in and he said, “Well, you can drink it" but he said he didn’t recommend. If you compare it with bottled water the bottled water was pretty good. It’s just the inexpensive bottle water. It still passes that little test with his little kit that you test the house water with to compare the tap water with the bottled water. So, that’s what we drink anyways. You can buy their system if you wanna try to purify the water and drink it out of your tap. You’re just spending a lot more money.
Also, the guy that installed the system didn’t do a great job. I told him to put it here and he puts it in a different place, and then he had trouble drilling the drain line. It’s a clear plastic tube but basically like a hose and he had trouble trying to find a way to get it to go through the ceiling, and he was trying to drill a hole and he couldn’t get through with the drill and I was like, “That won’t ruin my house but…” And then he ended up not even using the drill hole, just going up through the ceiling across the hallway trying to put that stuff together. Wasn’t a real professional.

I live in the city of Clare and I got a lot of corrosion on my fixtures, my sink, and in my toilet. I also wanted soft water in my shower and Kinetico Water Systems was the only water softener group in the Clare County area, so I got a water softener and a reverse osmosis from them. The sales representative was fabulous. He did a great job of explaining the products and everything else. And the installation team also did a good job. I took advantage of Kinetico’s free water test and the result was not at all what I was expecting.
Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my needs after having it for a while. They put the smaller piping to it which they thought would be sufficient. After putting in the unit, it was found out to be that it was probably mis-scoped. The product wasn’t what I was expecting for a water flow. They had to come back in and put in the larger piping to it so that I could get the water flow that I had previous to putting the water system in. It was difficult for me because I got work on the road and it was difficult for me to take time off. Nonetheless, there have been differences in my water. Soft water is not corrosive to my fixtures and soft water in the shower is the better shower experience. Also, with reverse osmosis, the water tastes different.

I had a bit of lime in my water and it kept clogging up my showers. Since I used to have Kinetico, I didn't do any further research and got a full house water softener system from them. I went online and a supplier got back to me. The rep who came out was knowledgeable and a really good guy and the installers were quick. I had them put the system in a spot where it worked out best for me and it was a little harder for them to do, but they did it with no problem and no complaining. We noticed the softness of the water right away but it took a month to notice the difference. Now, all the pipes are clean and the shower is not clogging up anymore. I've recommended Kinetico to other people. I had Culligan before in a rental house of mine but Kinetico's unit is way better.

We needed to replace the system that was in the house that we bought last year. We wanted a new one and Kinetico was referred to us by the agent who found us the house. I called the number she gave us and set-up an appointment. That was easy then our interaction with the representative was clear. He gave us the information and provided us with some brochures that will describe the product they had. It was very informative and helpful to make the decision.
We got Kinetico's water softener and water filter, and the installation was smooth. The test has revealed that all the problems we had before are not there anymore so we feel good about their product. It has also been a very reliable system and I haven't had any problems at any point in time. It's easy to drink now because we know that the water is filtered and it doesn't have any of the stuff that it had before installing the equipment. We were satisfied with our experience with Kinetico and when I got a call from somebody who wanted to purchase the product as well, I recommended it. It's not a cheap option but we think it's worth it.

The quality of my Premier S150 softener and and K-5 RO equipment is very good and it should be for the nearly $4700 initial cost. My biggest grip is that the maintenance costs are too high! In my four years of ownership I have spent nearly $1000 on filter cartridges, salt, resin cleaner and service visits to sanitize my drinking water system. I'm a do-it-yourself sort of guy and when I asked my distributor about getting a sanitizing kit so I could do it myself, I was told that they didn't know anything about it and that they recommended I have their service people do it any way. I don't mind paying for high quality equipment but I don't like having to pay so much to maintain the systems. as an example, the Duracube salt I buy from Kinetico is nearly double the cost of other brands. Is it really that much better? If I had to do it over again, I would probably explore other options.

My water was hard, had a lot of orange staining, and smelled swampy. I wanted to get that taken care of so, I had somebody from Kinetico come out to my house. I had a pretty good experience with him. He was an older gentleman named Rich and he was just in the area and he stopped in. He tested my water and spoke to me about the product. He was a nice guy but at that time, I wasn’t in the financial state to be able to purchase a water softener. After that, I still ended up buying a water softener from them. They sent a young man out by himself to install it and he explained to me how long it would take. He got it done in a timely manner and was clear on his instructions on what had to be done. I was happy with the installation.
Everybody at Kinetico was quite cooperative with me. But it would be a big thing if after about a month of purchasing from Kinetico, somebody would call and make sure everything was working correctly. Also, while in the middle of purchasing, the salesperson told me that the water softener wouldn’t necessarily take care of the foul smell of my water. So, it just took care of the hardness in the water. And as far as the stain is concerned, that seems to be a little bit better though I can’t really tell the difference if the product is working or not.

We purchased a water softener and a whole house filter and Kinetico's installation team did a nice job, too. They explained the system and all that good stuff. I was told originally that filters should be changed every year but he said every 6 months. I wish information was consistent. I'm also confused because I didn't receive a postcard reminder for the first 2-3 years after installation (was I sent postcards yearly?). It's hard to complain about not receiving postcards when it was the recent card that reminded me to change filters but I think it's important. Otherwise, the softener works great and I have no complaints.

We saw Kinetico at a home show in Mount Pleasant. My brother-in-law has Kinetico system in Anchorage, Alaska as well. We’ve got extremely hard water. They had never seen water as hard as what ours is. And we also had issues with the softener that we had because it was the single tank so we had times when we were getting hard water while it was recharging. We had a very good experience setting an appointment with Kinetico. Everything went very well. We purchased a two-tank softener and a reverse osmosis system from them. And so we like the fact we were able to get it to where we always were going to be getting soft water even though that was recharging.
Now, the water has been much better than what it was. It’s still not perfect though. We get some salt residue at times if we have water that splashes. But that is not as bad as it was before and the other issues are gone as well. Kinetico did a very good job. We did have a couple of issues with it after they had been installed but they got right on it and took care of them. And everything is fine now.

We had a Kinetico downstate in Brighton for a lot of years and we loved it. Also, my brother-in-law ended up selling Kinetico products. We went online and found a Kinetico dealer in Traverse City and got in contact with them. The salesman came out to show us what there was, but it was so confusing and he couldn't give me any brochures on it. And even on their website, we were not really sure what we were looking at. There were no prices on it at all. But we ended up buying it because we really had a lot of luck with it when we had downstate.
We purchased a deluxe water system which requires purple liquid. It required more filtering system and every time we turned around, it was a couple of thousand dollars more for this because of what we ordered. We didn’t know what we were ordering and we’re not really fond of the purple chemicals that it requires. Now they say that it goes in the water system. And even now, I have the water spots on my counter and I shouldn’t have it at all. Besides the fact that it’s leaving rust stains on the stool and water spots in the kitchen and the bathroom, it’s an adjustment that has to be made on it. I complained about it when we first got the unit and the secretary at the headquarters was so rude to me. She wouldn’t even let me talk to the president.
Finally, the people they have at Traverse City called me saying that they understood I was having a problem with the system. They were the ones that really helped me. They were terrific and they came out here a number of times. The man gave me his private phone number and told us to call him for any problems. We were going through a lot at that time and I didn’t call him back. There was probably an item we could take out so it would recycle more. He called me back whenever I called. The installers were from Kinetico and they were very nice and very kind. I felt very comfortable having them in the house.
They did the water test a number of times. They shook it and looked at the color and told us how many grains we needed. I didn’t quite understand the whole thing, but they did it every time they came out. Kinetico is the best unit on the market compared to what we looked at, even though a lot of parts are being made overseas now. With the other units, you’ve got to do the timer on it. We don’t have to do the timer on this unit. And because it originally was a summer house, we can go on vacation and not worry about it. If a storm comes through, we don’t have to go down and reset it at all, and that makes it much easier and it’s care-free. We just put salt in it and that’s it. I would recommend Kinetico compared to anything else out there because we researched that somewhat.

I did a lot of research on people with water with the same issues I got and everybody seemed to be happy with Kinetico’s resolution of that.
The sales guy was also part of the reason I chose Kinetico. He came to the house and did the showing, and he was very laid back. There were no hard sales and the experience was very pleasant. I thought about it for about six months before I called him back and purchased the whole house system. He didn't try to sell me something I didn’t really need either. But I needed to fix my water and obviously I needed a guarantee so I bought it with a guarantee and it worked from the day they put it in. But it wasn’t cheap. Four thousand bucks for a water softener is a lot of money.
The installer was very professional and clean. The job took him about an hour and the water in the bathtub went from yellow to nice and clean in five minutes. I had to flush the line and that was it. Boom, done. When I get the supplies I need, there’s a place in Traverse City and there’s one in Gaylord. It just depends on which city I’m in, doing personal stuff. The first time I dealt with their rep, it was a little odd because the guy was mainly interested in leasing the system to me. But I didn’t wanna lease it as I wanted to buy it. That caused some minor issues at first, but once we got that worked out, it was great.
With the old one in Illinois, the water softener would plug up occasionally. I had a serviceman come out a few times. They showed me what to do to clean it and I just cleaned it myself after that. The water here is good, with no iron to speak of. It’s a little bit hard, but not much and we only have the water softener for the washing machine, for the hardness in the clothes. The water softener works fine but it's very large for our use. We almost never put salt in as it doesn’t use enough, but it seems to help. They hauled the old unit away and did a really nice job. Everybody was very professional. They did what they were supposed to do and that was what I expected. With Kinetico, the water is 100% better.

We've always been very pleased with Kinetico and we've used them in several houses. We bought one product for a condo at Notre Dame, Indiana, then we had one at Platte Lake and Honor, Michigan, and we had another one in Traverse City. And they were in all sizes, from smaller to large. The house we were buying had a water softener and filtration system and we didn't know about them, so that was when we learned about them. We went with Kinetico for their dependability and their regeneration. They're excellent all around, they're dependable, and they come back and check up in a year's time. Plus, they'd be willing to give an extra bag of salt when I get them. Their installation team was dependable as well. Our water is softer now and we like the fact that it automatically regenerates itself. And, we also talk up Kinetico to other people.

The water out at our lake place was really bad. It had a water softener in there when we bought it but I wasn't seeing any sign that anything was happening there. We ran into Kinetico at the Cottage Show in Traverse City and set an appointment. They came out a couple of weeks ago to change the filter and they were good. I wanted to have them show me how to do the stuff so I could do it myself and they went over everything with me, and it was great. We had purchased the whole water system of Cannon and I am so glad we had it put in. The water is perfect now. Anyone who comes to our cabin certainly can tell the difference. If we run into anybody that is having water problems, we always tell them that it was Kinetico that we got.

I found the experience excellent from the initial consultation to the installation. The result was water that smelled and felt much better. I would recommend the Kinetico system to everyone. The system does not depend on electricity so it will work all the time. There are two tanks so when it backwashes you are not without soft water.

Our water looks as bad as it did before your system was installed. The first install was installed wrong, so after a week or so they came back and installed it correct. Then every time it recharged itself we air in the lines so bad we had to turn faucet on for about 30 to 50 seconds to get air out. After 7 or 8 visits to fix the problem it's still not fixed, I called again Thurs the 26th and told them it's still not fixed. They said they would look into it and haven't heard back yet, today is the 2nd of May.

Hi Randy,
We'll check in with your installers to find out what is happening and get this functioning as well all expect.

We have hard water. Kinetico came and explained their products and when we decided to get something, I called them and some other companies. We went with them because they specialize in such things. We then got their water softener. They also offered us their water filtration system and we thought it would be good so we decided to get it as well. With Kinetico's system, water tastes better. Then, before, when I would wash my dishes, I could see that there was so many stuff on our glasses and now we don't have that. You could completely tell the difference. I'm super happy with Kinetico and I would recommend them.

A long time ago, I bought a water softener system from Kinetico Water Systems to be able to filter out some of the chemicals from the treatment plant. I wanted to go with a good brand and I heard about them on the radio, plus they seemed to have a good reputation. Their salesman was very good and thorough. I went back to him for the second thing I purchased, which was the filtration system underneath the sink. The installation went fine. Moreover, they were good and courteous. My water is softer, clearer, cleaner, fresher and as far as the taste, it is definitely better. It does not have a chemical taste. I've been satisfied with Kinetico Water Systems.

I had hard water before and it wasn't clean. It doesn't rinse out as well and creates hard water stains on both the bathtub, walls and inside sinks. During my investigations on a lot of companies, I found that Kinetico was a better brand more into helping the consumer and not just wanting to sell the product. Setting up the appointments and installing the water softener system were great experiences. When I’m taking a bath for that matter, the water doesn’t seem like a soap when you rinse out but it actually feels like it’s gone and not still staying on my skin. Same thing with my shampoo. And there’s no more hard water stain on my glass. You need to invest in this. It’s the best system I’ve ever had. It keeps not only myself clean, but all my household products. It keeps my dishwasher and washing machine all in operating condition. It doesn’t build up hard water inside of them.

I had hard water and needed a softener. I have a very small closet and I can’t get a conventional water softener, so they had a softener that was very small and about the size of a computer face. The salesman came out and pretty much fed us the biggest line of BS that I’ve ever heard in my life. Everything he told us was a lie. We ordered a water softener and a drinking water system from Kinetico. I’ve had Kinetico out about three times after the salesman had sold it to us and because what he told us wasn’t true, we got stuck with it. We have a lifetime warranty on the softener but they charged us for coming out and fixing warranty items. The softener went out after about six years and the guy told us that these things only last five years. I told him that we have a lifetime warranty and he said that it’s only for the salt storage part of it.
Also, the salt that they said were for tubes. They were supposed to be blocked but they don’t sell blocks. They only sell those in Europe. This softener is for England with low flow water. Then the bladder on the water tank went out. A guy came by to repair one thing and I told him to look at that. Then they charged me $168 to have them come out and fix what was already warrantied. Then they sold me the wrong filters later which totally screwed up the water system and it was totally worthless. Finally, when this guy came out and told us that our system was screwed, I just went out and bought one from a home store with 360 bucks. It works better than any crap Kinetico ever gave to me. They just screwing people.

Setting up with Kinetico was easy. I called in and they came out and assessed my house. The reps were very friendly. I got the highest end water softener and a water filtration under counter, and the installation was good. They had to get creative with some spacing issues that I had in my house, but they did a good job. I don't like hard water, but now it seems like the water is softer and more steady. However, I wondered if the system was working right, and there was no follow up from them to check on the system. That would've been helpful, especially 'cause it was pretty big. Overall it's a great product and I've recommended it to some people.

Kinetico's rep was very thorough. I learned a lot and was convinced that I wanted their product right away. I took a day off on the day of installation and waited about half an hour after I was told their installation crew would probably come. They had somehow gotten the day wrong. It was 9:00 in the morning when I called and they arrived by 11:30. The owner came out because he needed to pull the trailer as they were digging a French drain for me, so I got to meet him. He also brought me a year’s worth of salt at no charge and it worked out really well. They made a mistake but dealt with it and I had a great day. We have had their system for a month and a half now and it's great. My hair is softer and I can feel the dishes are cleaner.

We live in El Paso and it’s a hard water area. There’s a bit of chlorine odor in the local water as well. We were also concerned with drinking water as well as for the appliances in the house and showering. I did some research for softening systems online and started looking at Pelican and others, then came across the Kinetico one. I liked what I read about it and the fact that it doesn’t require plug-in power to operate. It had a lot of good history behind reviews other people put on it. It sounded like a pretty bulletproof system and it sounded good. I called Kinetico Water Systems and they came over. I enjoyed the sales pitch. They spoke really good and it was a good product to me, so it worked out. I purchased a four-tank system with two doubles. It’s a softener and a chlorine filtration as well that can also be on the softener.
The installation was great. One guy came over and spoke to us about any changes in the initial plan. We thought he had to run a couple of extra tubes around for the output of the tank when it does its cleaning cycle. He talked to us about what he wanted to do and it all worked out for him. It was good communication. I love the water now with Kinetico System installed. It’s been great and almost completely maintenance-free. We put in a bit of potassium and that’s it. We take a look at it about once a week to put some potassium back in if it’s needed.
I appreciate the original salesman. He checked back with us after everything was installed. A month later he came back and redid some tests on the water. It showed us that we have the water that we have now. I appreciate them coming back and checking up on us and making sure it was all working well. I would tell my friends about Kinetico if they’re looking for a pretty bulletproof system that doesn’t go down, power goes up, doesn’t require any power to operate, and if they have water issues. I can’t see what else they’d be looking for in a system beyond what Kinetico’s offering. There are other ones out there and there’s nothing wrong with taking a look at what other products are out there, but everything is working really well with Kinetico. And from what I understand, it is gonna last a long time without clearly any maintenance.

We had moved in to our house a couple of years ago and our water was really hard. I needed to do something. We were in the midst of researching and pricing everything in the city, and choosing Kinetico came down to price. We had a window that we were trying to stick to and there were a couple of other options that sell within that window, but Kinetico's warranty was better than the other folks. Everything was very smooth setting up the appointment. The guy that came out for the water test was pretty chill. We'd had multiple people come out and do the exact same thing that he did when we were pricing the systems. I explained that to him and he was like, "We'll just go through a little bit." And it was good. The installer was hilarious and I really liked him. We were chatting the entire time and he was cool. Now the difference in our water is night and day. When I went to a networking event, I met one of Kinetico's salesmen. His name was Alfredo and we love him. He was real knowledgeable and answered our questions and there was no pressure. We ended up getting a water softener and a reverse osmosis drinking system. Then someone came in and installed it within a couple of hours. We had our system installed in June of last year. And we've had to have them come out and repair it about four times already. We've had a lot of problems with it not working. They had to fix several things on it and that's been a little bit of a disappointment because I bought a new shower head and now it's broken. So, it's not been fixed when I thought it would be.

With this 2 years old new system utilizing hydrant peroxide which is more expensive allows the black film in the toilets to build up. Outside of that seems to be working very well.
