I am very pleased with my experience with Integrity. They scheduled a service call within two days (not an emergency). Technicians were very helpful and efficient. They advised me that my 25 year old water softener should be replaced, had the same (updated) model on their truck, and installed the new unit within an hour. They followed up with a letter and a phone call to make sure I am satisfied and have answered all of my questions to date. Thank you.

The water smelled like sulfur and there were iron stains on everything, and Kinetico was recommended by the guy that I was gonna use. I met him at the home show. He came out and took a look at everything and tested the water. I got a quote from another company and they were twice the price. The water doesn't have a little yellow hue to it anymore since I’ve had the Kinetico system and my girlfriend used to get all itchy and her skin would dry out. She said that has been better as well as her shower.

40 years ago, we put in a Kinetico system when we bought our house. We kept that one in, and then we had some issues with it back in 2010. We called the dealer and they came out, put in some new parts and serviced it. Then a year ago we had an issue again and I said, "This thing has way outlasted its service life. Let's get a new one for the rest of our lives." We decided to buy a new one, and now we don't have to worry about it for as long as I live. I like the fact that as far as using electricity and using the timer with the water flow, it's efficient. If there's no flow, it doesn't increase the timer. It only recharges when you use it for a certain amount of water. The other ones are on a timer, so every day at 6 o'clock, it recharges whether you need it or not.
One of the things that I don't like is a ring in the stool. The system doesn't totally eliminate it, but it's about 75% less. When we did have some problems, the timer broke and you could tell right away, the stool started getting rings in them. When you showered, your skin felt different, and you ended up with a lot more water spots. The tech guy came out with his little toolbox, a light and shorts, and he knelt down on the cement floor with his bare knees and pulled out his little toolbox. He completely disassembled the clock in five minutes or less. Took it apart, blew everything out and put it all back together. He said, "Something ain't quite right." He took it back apart again, kneeling on the floor with bare knees, put that thing back together and it worked fine. It turns out he's the guy that owns the place. He knows what he's talking about, and he proved it.

I had hard water and I needed to get it softer, which led me to look into getting a filter. My dad had Kinetico years ago when I was a kid and I continued on. I’ve had them for two years. I had a Kenmore at one time but that one seemed like it worked good but I eventually upgraded and I got a newer unit. The Kinetico tanks are small though and you gotta add the salt fairly often. I’d like to see a bigger capacity. Other than that, I have no problems.

There was a time when our water was bad. It had iron and calcium. Kinetico was recommended by our installer who removed an existing system from my home. That installer had a good reputation so we went with Kinetico. Things are easy once the system is set up and the system runs itself. I'm salting it once in a while though and I gotta look in it. Even so, since getting the Kinetico system, my water has been radically better. Kinetico doesn't have the cheapest equipment by any stretch of the imagination but I typically get what I pay for.

We had to decide on a water softener system, and this one seemed very automatic and little that I had to do with it except give it salt. I had them change the filter one time, and that was just a matter of calling them up and then they came and changed the filter.

I’m on a well and it’s full of minerals and hardness. Kinetico was recommended to me and I ended up with it. After we kinda tweaked it off and it processed things, it seemed to work well. When I ran into issues, those were resolved and I don’t have any problems with the system.

I'm always into more local and keeping the local vendors through and through. I reached out to the local place in Charlton, Massachusetts and they did the water testing. Kinetico was the product that they used. We’ve had the Kinetico water system for a little over a year. It does what it does and our water is clean and clear. But the time it takes to fully backwash is absolutely insanely long. I was under the impression that the backwater system should be backwashing for three hours, an hour and a half for both systems, but it turns out that it was not. It was actually for each segment of the filtration.
For me, to backwash three hours for one system and then three hours on another system wastes an astronomical amount of well water. I will also have to make the drywell bigger because of the amount of water that is backflowing. According to the person that did the installation, it’s based on the amount of usage it gets as opposed to every three days but it's clearly not the case. I go through about six bags every month just with myself and one other person using the water systems and with my children every other weekend. It's annoying that we are backwashing so much for what seems to be so little usage. Also if you don’t keep the salt in the brine, you tend to run the life expectancy of the filtration system down because of how often it backwashes.
Hi Michael,
Our warranty registration data base shows an extreme level of iron in your water supply requiring a large water treatment product. This unit will backwash 1 tank for 90 minutes with several hundreds of gallons of usable water in between regenerations.
You may have other treatment equipment installed that is not reflecting in our data base that would alter these figures.

I did some research and the guy that was doing the install was using Kinetico as their filters. I bought it because we had the elevated nitrates and a refrigerator water filter was not going to take care of that. With Kinetico, the water tastes good if we make ice with it. It definitely doesn't have any weird colors or smells like tap water did. We had a water test after to make sure that it was good, and the numbers came back good. However, the cost of the filters is expensive -- they could be a bit cheaper. I haven't looked too many at all the other reverse osmosis filters, some people online were saying that there are way cheaper ones. I'm trying to find them, but I'm like, "Where?"

Kinetico's customer service was very satisfactory. Bill has been very helpful to me. Only, when I spoke to him about the drainage, he said he was gonna use the drainage that was already there. I had one from my old system through my cellar wall. But I would like it if when it went outside, it was a little further away from my foundation because it’s about two to three feet away from my bulkhead, and all that discharge is gonna cause havoc with my bulkhead sooner or later. It’s gonna start precipitating. Other than that, my water is very soft.

Kinetico’s system was a water-wheel based kind and I liked that. Setting up an appointment with them was a piece of cake. I called and they sent out a representative. He came out, tested our water and went over what we needed. He gave us some options and we went with probably the most complete package we needed to get everything. They scheduled it out and in a matter of four weeks, they came out and put it all in. I haven't had any issues with it since.
Our water is so poor and about a year ago, we got a second system because the first system was 20 years old. Towards the end, you could tell the media was getting full. We were starting to get some rusting break through. So, they came out and replaced everything that we had with a new upgraded version. It’s a little bit bigger tank. There are all kinds of systems out there and this one seemed to work for me. So, I went with it again. I like that if we go on vacation or if we go away, if we’re not using the water, then it’s not regenerating all the time, like one that’s on a timer. If we lose power, I don’t have to go back and reset it all. I was very pleased with Kinetico.

Our Kinetico system was in the house when we bought it and recently, we upgraded the drinking water. We were very familiar with our water before we moved here, so we wanted it for drinking as well as for our refrigerator for drinking and ice cubes. We also added some mineral back in and the softener is working fine. They need to come out and check the iron one, too. I called them to do that a long time ago, but we'll get it. Other than that, their reps were wonderful and very personable. They were always so clean, too. They thought they had to take their shoes off all the time and I told them that they didn’t have to in our house but they still did it. Plus, they were very well-educated, they knew what they were talking about, and they were quick.

When my 35-year-old water softener went bad, the plumber I typically use offered Kinetico. It was easily available and I went with it. It’s the same system that I had before, but everything was new. The tub that you put the softener salt in is a little bigger and the pressure tanks are a little bit smaller but higher pressure. The filter housings accommodate two filters rather than one and the time in between changing the filters is a little longer. The filters get filled with rust because the lines underground are all steel.
I live on a farm and have well water, which is hard. I wanted to take some of that out. The wife and daughter don’t like the hard water for their hair and the water spots on the dishes. Then there is a sink that has a slight rotten eggs smell without it being run through the softener system. The softer water is better on the faucet and the showerheads. The calcium buildup is also not as bad.

We read about all these water toxins and fluoride is one of those toxins I wanted to get rid of. With Kinetico, there are no electronics involved, less could wrong with it and it's better quality water. The rep was really knowledgeable and gave me what I needed. He tested the water here and said that the water softener I have is good enough. So, he wasn't pushing this product on me as far as being able to get the sale. He was not unethical. I got the water filter and it's been really good. The filtered water is all I drink and cook with. I like the idea that they hooked it to the refrigerator so that the ice is filtered too. You can see the difference in the ice cubes. Before the filtration, the ice cube was salty and with the Kinetico water, the ice cube is clear.

I've had experience with Kinetico for six years. I used them previously when I lived in a different house and then, we bought it last year. We have the water softener and the reverse osmosis. I didn't have the reverse osmosis before. I just got it in our house now. We were having hard water. Also, one of our friends always carries bottled water. She wouldn't drink any town water. So I thought, I would just go ahead and get that reverse osmosis, which actually turned out good because when we had flooding in the area this summer, the nitrate count was too high and you had to boil your water. But I didn't have to boil our water because it filters all of it. The reverse osmosis worked out great for us.
I was just amazed. I thought, "Wow. I can't believe I spent the extra money and it was really worth it." And then, I didn't have to spend the extra money to buy water. The town also supplies water to people, and it was a pain in the butt because I'm the manager of the KCs and if you wash your dishes, you have to boil the water. It was an extra chore.
It's all been great because otherwise, I would not have went back a second time. There was another water system in the area which was Culligan. I called them, left a message, never got a call back. I waited two weeks, I called again, never got a call back. The lady there said, "Well, I just take a message. If he doesn't call you..." That was not her fault. I understand. And I thought, I had money to spend. It was not like everyday somebody puts a water softener in. They never called me back. And I thought, if they can't even call me, just forget it. And with Culligan, you have to set a timer for it to soften the water or to run. With the Kinetico, you will have softened water 24/7, 365 days a year. You do not put on a timer. There are two bottles and when one bottle runs out, you start running on the other. Before you get to the bottom of that bottle, the other bottle is ready to go.
When they came and talked to me about it the very first time, I knew nothing. I had some idea about a water softener, but I didn't have the full spectrum of it, and they were very explanatory in everything. I was just amazed at their system and that you didn't have to set it on a timer or anything like that which I thought really made sense because otherwise, you'd set it at 2:00 in the morning when you're not using it. They've been great. We have recommended Kinetico to our friends who live on a farm and they have very hard water.

Kinetico has such a good reputation and we have their system for a little over a year now. The rep that came out did a good job and explained everything quite well. He also tested the water for me, explained exactly what I was gonna need as far as cleaning up my water, conditioning my water, and what would be needed for the rust control as well. Before I got Kinetico, my own water conditioner was not working for a long time, so I had extremely hard water. But after I got Kinetico installed, it didn't take any time to notice that there was a huge difference over having soft water again. Their installation team did really well, too. They did not leave a mess, cleaned up after themselves, and were in and out without any bother. I almost didn't even know they were there.

They answered all my questions and if I had any concerns, they helped. I’ve had my Kinetico for over a year and everything is running great. We love it. I’m not having to buy special stuff to clean out the toilets and the shower to get the rust off the walls anymore. I bought the unit almost 2 years ago. The unit was working good for the first 10 months with reading of 8,9,11,14. Then suddenly the meter went way over 50. They finally sent someone out and discovered the Membrane filter was bad. This is only 10 months out with a 4 year warranty on this filter. The meter reading since they were always in the high twenties, So we accepted that even though the city water supply was much lower than when we first had it installed. It was 535 originally with the low reading. After it was always in the mid to low 400's, Today the reading is 421. I just changed three filter. Purple, Orange and Silver.
After the first tank rinse as they instruct the meter was 121. I rinsed the tank again it was 79, then again and it was still 72 after 3 flushes, the fourth tank gave me mixed reading 72, then 54, then 44, then 47, then 65 all from the same tank of water on the now 5th flush and emptying. The original water I had saved in emergency water 5 gallon tanks which I had next to the sink. So I measured the original and it was 8. That was from when I first bought the machine.
When I called they want to charge me 121 service call fee, even though this is the same problem originating from the first problem of high TDS meter readings. So I declined the visit. There is really nothing you can do but and that's 2000$ wasted on a overrated system that makes false claims, and does not really stand behind their product. Oh yah for a price as indicated before. Since this was a problem ongoing from the first issue and the readings were consistently high for so long you would think they would do this as a courtesy followup from the first issues that are ongoing. Bottom line I would decline from buying this unit since it breaks down and their filters are obviously defective and not up to the high quality they claim. Be warned.

I’ve had some problems with my Kinetico. At one point in time, a whole lot of salt was getting into the water and it tasted very salty. Someone came out and fixed that. I’m not sure if it’s totally fixed because once in a while, after it refreshes, there still seems to be salt in there. I also had a problem with a blockage. The salt gets slopped up at the bottom, and as a result, I was getting no soft water at all. And I called them on that, but nobody came out and I had to take some of the salt out that was in there and tried to get clear down at the bottom and see what was going on, and it was all caked in there. I’m not 100% happy with it.
We are out in the boondocks here. And the house is about 20 years old, and what they had before was a system that was installed when the house was built, and it was getting to the point where I just wanted something newer and also something I wouldn’t have to mess around with so much. The installation of the Kinetico system was fine. There was some problems in there and the installer did a good job with that. Initially, everything worked fine but it wasn’t too long after it was in that I had this sense that there was a whole lot of salt in the water, and I’m not supposed to have salt. My dog actually wouldn’t drink the water. She turned her nose up at it. I had to go outside and get the water from the outside faucet which doesn’t go through the softener.
I still, once in a while, take a drink if it tastes a little bit salty and the dog still seems leery of it at times. When a guy came out to fix it, he said some kind of a valve had not worked like it was supposed to and he put a new one in. But I still wonder at times if that valve was not shutting fully or what because it still tastes salty at times.

We love Kinetico. It uses a heck of a lot of salt because our water is really crappy. I wanted to get back with them to see if I can dial it down a little bit, but I'm afraid, if we do, the water won't be as good, but still thumbs up for them. I've had previous water softeners -- Culligan, Morton and kept hearing about how Kinetico was pretty good. It makes well water well. That’s their jingle. And we have a pretty bad well water out here, so I thought I'd give them a try, and I'm glad I did.
I had a couple of floods I dealt with this year, and I have an RO system. Before we were gonna use the RO system again I wanted to change my filters because I shocked the well, and it was on a Saturday, and either the manager or the technician at that time took time out of his day to meet me at the shop and provided me with all the filters I needed. He recommended a few to filter out bacteria, E. coli, and stuff like that, which was great. So he provided a great service for me because we just moved in that week, and then went out of his way to make sure we got what we needed.
If they could lower the prices it would be great, but you gotta pay for quality, and I understand that. My folks actually lived in this house when I was growing up, and we didn’t go with an RO system. We just had a plain Jane water softener, but the water was certainly sorta soft, but there was still iron rings in the toilet. Now, the water is so clear. You're not seeing any stains in the toilets. The boys says, “Well, we can drink that water.” I told them not to use the RO water, but it's just like night and day from the other water softener we experienced here at this house.

The water was pretty hard in our old house so there was always water spots. Our two kids always had really bad eczema, so our pediatrician said that the water softener would help. So we’ve had it then, and we loved it. My parents had Kinetico growing up, so we ended up going with that brand as well. And it was worth paying a little bit more to have the best. We moved in April and paid to have it swapped over here. The installation went really smoothly. When we moved, I called to get everything set up, and the lady said there would be a $100 charge to have it moved. I had no problem with that. But when we moved, they ended up sending me a $468 bill, and the lady said that the $100 was the fee to move but we had to pay for parts. So we were a little taken off that and that kinda sucked, but other than that, it’s been great.

We got lime and rust in the town here, and we wanted to take that away ‘cause we’re always cleaning them. I’d had other softeners and they would always break down, so I went with Kinetico. I have hard water here in Iowa. I built a new house, and I didn't want all the water softeners and the sinks and toilets and tubs to get water rust marks on them, so I got a water softener. My plumber that assisted building the house sold water softeners and he put his best water softener in. But I was extremely disappointed. So I started looking around and I found the Kinetico at a tradeshow. After about six months of living in my house, I removed the original water softener and put a Kinetico in, which has been about a full year now and I've been real happy with it. The water quality has been more consistently better. With the old water softener, there were times when it was allowing stuff to get pass it. But Kinetico softener has not have that happen yet.
The only issue I have with Kinetico is that their dealerships are not close enough. There are too few and too far between. They have to travel nearly an hour to an hour and a half to get to my place if I need service. And I would prefer to buy some Kinetico salt that came with my softener, but it's not feasible to drive an hour and a half to buy water softener salt. Other than that, with the water that we have in this part of the country, the best water softener is Kinetico.

The rep was very knowledgeable and the installers took out the old water softener I had. When we bought this house years ago, the people that owned it had bought a new water softener that was loaded with lead inside, and I could hardly move it. They took that for me too, so it was wonderful. The new system cleans much better, especially laundry. I love it for laundry 'cause the laundry soap suds so well. Clothes are so clean, no residue.

Kinetico claimed to be able to take nitrates out of the water and my water is high in nitrates. Plus, they said the system takes less salt. I used the company out of Owen, Iowa, and the service was good. I had them come back two years ago and serviced it and did a few things. I had a drinking water system in addition to the plain filtration system, and I put a new drinking water system and replaced the old one. I’ve been pleased with the way it was put in, and I’m pleased with their service. My water quality is good. Before, the water might be a little cloudy, but after the system was in, it has been more appealing to the eyes. The water is cleaner.

My water was lining up my glasses so I got a water softener from Kinetico. I got online and it looked like they were one of the best ones. So that was what I went with. The guy who set it up was here on time, was very nice and showed me when he connected it to my waterlines and stuff in the basement, which knobs to turn and what to do to shut it off so that I could put a new filter in.
The lady in the office was real nice to me too. I had to go down and get another bag of pellets. She even lifted it in my trunk of my car for me. Since having the system my water has been a lot better. I don't have all the lining up of things anymore, that was my main factor. I don't like drinking tap water so I get mine through my refrigerator and the water goes through the softener downstairs and it works out great. I'm very satisfied and if anybody would ask me I'd recommend the Kinetico to them.

We had hard water in the area and my son had eczema. We then had the RO filter that was the beefier one with chlorine removal feature on it for water softener. The system did not make the eczema completely go away but it definitely helped a lot with going to soft water. The installation was great. We noticed a major difference in the water pressure, however, and so we had to have them come out to adjust the water pressure. They increased the pressure from the house, and that helped a ton. The RO is great. But, in comparison to the water softener we have in the house that we have now, I am not sure how effective the Kinetico water softener was, if it was better than their standard electric water softener. It could be that I have grown grown accustomed to the feel of the soft water. But definitely, customer service has been excellent.
Hi Suzzie,

The guy that put it in seemed to know what he was doing, but it’s still there. I’m still dealing with rust and I had to put chlorine in there to keep it from smelling. I’d like to be able to solve that problem. I use a way lot less salt with Kinetico, but it still hasn’t solved the rust problem. It was an improvement, but it’s not 100%. And if they'd get something better, I’d be interested.

It’s got a filter in it and they’ve taken care of the hard water. Their customer service team has done very good. They told me that the system does other things, but those weren’t my concerns. I have absolutely no idea about clothes getting cleaned. I just know that you can feel the soft water when you shower. So far, they’ve handled everything we’ve asked them to do. The thing that’s good about Kinetico is the power involved. And it only uses the amount of water you use to recycle. So, it won’t recycle unless you use the water. And that’s what I liked about it.
Reviewed Nov. 12, 2019
The customer service at Kinetico was excellent. They came out and answered the questions. I had looked at one other system and as I pointed on this to where I wanted it, right off the bat they said, "Well, that'll cost you extra, and it'll be this and this and this." And when I brought up that same situation with the Kinetico rep, he said, "Let's go ahead and see what you're really talking about, and let's see what it is that you really want." And on that basis there, they said, "Yes, we can do it. There's no extra cost." So, the way they approached it, the people that came out here were very knowledgeable. And it was not a sales job, it was more of a matter of very nice questions, answers, and the product.
The installation was excellent. The installers were here when they said they were going to be. It took them less time than they thought that it might, and everything has worked out very well all the way through. In fact, we've liked so much that there was a lady that lives about a block and a half away from us, and she came to me and she said, "How did you like it? And do you think they can do it the way that I want it?" I told her Kinetico can. She had three other companies come out and she wound up buying a system from Kinetico too.
We used to be more itchy, in the wintertime especially. It bothered my wife more than it did me. We felt kind of dry in certain areas of our body, and we never had that as a situation since we've had our Kinetico. In fact, we went away on a trip and when we got back, I had forgotten all about making sure that I had plenty of salt pellets in the Kinetico. And so, we were home for about five weeks and Patsy was saying something was wrong. She said, "I'm beginning to feel like I did before we had the new system put in. Are you sure you're doing things right?" I went downstairs, and sure enough, there wasn't a pebble or a little salt piece in there. And so, I came up and I added a bag of it. So, it was noticeable when we ran out of salt.
In some ways, Kinetico is more expensive. There's an ad on TV now and it says, "Always get other estimates, but always make sure that ours is one of the three, and I'm sure that you'll agree that ours is the best." Until people shop around, they don't realize the difference. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if they got in touch with Kinetico the very first, they would get a lot of information, but at the same time, they may not really realize the advantages of some of the things that they are talking about. We have told our neighbors about Kinetico. Some of the neighbors can afford it, but other neighbors had already installed and they had their own system.

I’ve known about Kinetico for years. We just built a new home and we needed a system. And so, I got a hold of Kinetico and ended up buying one of their systems. Their customer service reps were superstars. I got the system installed, and the sale was pleasant and wasn’t pushy. I ended up buying a couple extra things to make sure I had a complete system. And so, the whole experience was great.
The installation was super easy because half of my basement was not finished. The walls were just started down there. They ran the plumbing without a finished ceiling, so it didn’t take much at all. They held their schedule when they said they were gonna be there. They were done within the timeframe they said they’d be done. Everything was great. The system is doing a really great job in terms of the water being soft and what was promised. It doesn’t use a lot of salt, so it’s been low maintenance. It exceeded our expectations.
We have lived in Lehi previously. We had a different water softener system in that home. It was an older system, and we went through a lot of salts. So then, one of the biggest differences since having our Kinetico is there isn’t much salt. And I know the water is soft by the way it feels in the shower. Also, we can only put in about half as much laundry detergent in our batches of laundry. If we put in a full normal amount like we always used to, we get so many suds in there that you almost can’t get the suds out. So, we’re using half as much laundry detergent on every batch of clothes that we washed.

We had a Kinetico system about 40 years ago and we had a positive experience. Now that we've got another home, and needed soft water, we decided to go with them. With the Kinetico, I do not have to haul the bags downstairs and fill it as many times as I used to have when I had the previous types of water softeners as far as the salt goes.

I went over and talked to the gentleman and somebody came out to the house and hooked up the water softener system. The rep who came out was very good. He did his job and he wasn't very long. My water smell less now. There was a sulfur smell, but I don't smell it anymore. Kinetico is a good system. I'm pleased with it.

We looked for water systems on the internet. Kinetico was the strongest and closest, and we purchased their water filtration system, the reverse osmosis for drinking water. I have a large home and the water pressure that's at my house is insufficient, so I asked for booster pump. To date, I'm still dealing with them on that. I'm not happy with their service. They're not very good. I have a home up north, so I'm not here all the time. I'm still trying to deal with them from the distance and setting up appointments, and getting the same service person hasn't been easy. They send out different person every time. It seems like they have never installed a booster pump before. It ended up failing a couple of months ago, with water pouring everywhere. They sent somebody over with the pump, but it was not installed before while I wasn't here.
A month ago, I told them, "The door was unlocked, go in and put the pump in." It was very simple, but somehow, the service person left without installing it. And then I got another call a week ago saying, "We have your pump. Do you mind if we come over to install it?" I said, "I'm not there. I told you to install it last time you were here." And the service person said, "Well, that wasn't me, that was somebody else." So, the pump's still not installed when it only takes five minutes to install it. I'm here in Florida right now, but when I'm here more, I'll call them again and see if I can get this taken care of. They're not that difficult to set up an appointment with, it's just that it's long-distance and it's such a pain.
In my home up north, I decided to put the same exact water purifier in, and the people up there in Western New York showed right up, installed the thing in an afternoon. They were very professional and made the installation very simple. The price was almost half the price of the company here in Florida, but I find that to be true with almost everything in Florida compared to where I am in New York. I like Kinetico. It's a good product and I would definitely recommend it. But the company down here, not so much.

Kinetico is great. The previous water softener system that I had stopped working, so I had it looked at. And unfortunately, it could not be repaired. It was too cost-prohibitive. So, I called a friend of mine who owns a local business in our area that installs water softeners. The salesman, Mike, came over and checked our old system to see whether it was working or not. And he was talking about the grains of hardness that we had in our water and then he talked to me about what the new system would provide us. He was great. The techs that came in to install the system wore booties so they did not tracked any dirt through my house. They were professional. They showed up on time. They cleaned up their mess when they removed the old system. And they installed the new one, and it’s been great. It’s been working ever since, and I haven't had any issues.

We have a well and we had an issue with hardness in our water. When we were at the Dutchess County Fair, a company called Water Source had a booth set up. We started engaging them in conversation about the hard water, and he led me from there. The company that we dealt with was very good and their reps were knowledgeable and trustworthy. They were very accommodating and very informative too, and they weren't pushy at all. The man came out and tested our drinking water, and we decided to go with the Kinetco water filtration system for all of our water. We have a faucet in our sink and it also connects to our water and ice maker for our refrigerator. The installation team was fine. We showed them where the basement was and what needed to be hooked up. We used to buy bottled water all the time and now we don't. All of our drinking and cooking water is now filtered, as well as our ice cubes, laundry and showers.

They came and installed it within two hours. Kinetico had a really good warranty and something about the ease of maintenance. There's no electricity usage. Basically, you set it and forget it kinda. I got the system as a continuation of having soft water.

Our water in the area that we're in is very hard. The hardness level is high and it's highly chlorinated. I was buying bottled water and cooking with it and drinking it. And I would never shower here in the house, there was a second home at the time. I felt so strongly about putting in a water treatment system. I was doing some research online and saw that Kinetico is working with the system that has no electrical components, the way that it works. That and with testimonials, I thought it was very high in product. It was a little pricey compared to some of the other products out there but I felt like it was a good long-term investment and we could buy it outright without any problem.
The experience with Kinetico was good all the way around. The only thing that I was surprised about was working with a PEX plastic tubing instead of what I thought would be copper, even though it said PEX, I didn't know what it was at the time. But I just had the annual system tune-up and changed their cartridges on my RO system and it's all good. The water source is a really good company. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Kinetico products.

Going back years, we had a Culligan system and between the pipes rattling and the timer and everything else, we didn't like the system. So I talked to one of my friends in the biology department at school whose husband is a contractor and big builder and she said that he only uses Kinetico in his homes. We tried it and we have been satisfied ever since. We had them many years ago at a home on First Avenue up until the time we lost it in the flood.
When we came to our present home, they didn't have any water system at all. The contractor put a double filter system in, which wasn't good. It wasn't anywhere near as good as Kinetico was on the first day. We called someone who came and tested the water and installed our present Kinetico system. We had a part that had to be replaced. We called and within a day or two, they came and took care of whatever was needed. It was very easy to get them out. Also, the people at the office are very helpful in any way possible.

Setting up our appointment with Kinetico was ideal. They came and tested the water before they put in the system. We got a filtration system and since then, the drinking water tastes different, tastes better, and we're comfortable with it because we assume that all the other good stuff is happening too. Before, our water was really not drinkable and now, it is. There were no issues setting up appointments with Kinetico. They sent someone out pretty much right away. The only thing is that they offered to deliver bags of salt to you without informing you that their markup on the salt is like 400%, which I figured out the hard way. They should be transparent about what the markup is on the salt. Kinetico is not cheap, but for us, we're on well water, we have to have a system like this, and they seem to be good providers, too.

In one of the two tanks, the top piece wasn't something that they put together. It sprung a leak sometime in the last four months. They came out and swapped it out, and it's been fine since then. They said it felt like it was a manufacturing defect, but they had never seen that happen before. So, they were gonna reach out to Kinetico and deal with that, so we didn't have to have any kind of interaction. Also, because of the softener, there's so much salt in the water and we don't normally drink it. We are gonna have to get them to deal with some of that salt. Everything else has been perfectly fine.

The installation went very well. The installers told my wife about maintenance, adding salt in the bin and stuff like that. Since having our system from Kinetico, we can see the difference in our water, especially after showering, there’s no build-up in the hair. We had one issue because of a valve that’s on top, which was in warranty, but we haven’t had it for more than a year and we had that issue already. So I’m afraid that it was the thing on top that was some sort of a valve that salt was seeping out so it was almost like corrosion build-up on top. Is it possible there is a hard water line run from the main to the kitchen that bypasses the softener?
Connect with your area installer to have them check it over if you’re concerned with performance.

With the high-calcium stuff that was building up all over my appliances, I looked into water treatment systems and had one company come out. However, the rep wouldn't talk to me unless my spouse was there, which made it seem like I was not capable of making any decision. He showed up at the house for five minutes and kind of told me it was a waste of time unless my spouse was there and so he rolled out. I immediately went to Home Depot and they had Kinetico. I talked to Kinetico. The rep told me about a trial period, among other things, and how they prefer if both people are there just so there's less dickering and they get the same story. Still, he explained everything to me and I signed up for the system.
The water test then was ridiculous but since having the system installed, the showers have had a different feel. It's not like slimy water. It's just clean. You feel the soap in your hair and in your skin. I've had Kinetico for close to a year now and there's no additional buildup on stuff as far as the high minerals that are in the water in Nevada. I have the system that looks like it's four tanks but two tanks kinda stacked on top of each other. I also like how it's not electric. It's standalone and runs through the water pressure so anytime I have power outages, there are no electrical issues. I highly recommend it. I have already recommended it to my friends that don't have it.

I enjoy having my Kinetico. I've had it before, and then I got it for my new house. I got the water drinking station and then the one that goes in the garage. Everything has been good. I recommend them.

I'm living on a well system and I had sulfur and hard water problems. Kinetico is right down the street from me, so I went with them. The rep I spoke with was top-notch and then the installation was very good. I've had them for around six months now. I, however, got to call the local dealership that installed my system. It appears that there is a leak that is bleeding down into my pressure tank. Other than that, the system seems to be going pretty good.

I should never have used Kinetico. In the first place, mine had to go outside, which, every time they come to make repairs the first thing out of their mouth is "It's OUTSIDE". I wish the guy that sold it to me had made that big of a deal out of having to put it outside! But, recently is what really upset me. They take credit cards and this fix was $800.00. My ID Theft informed me with an alert the very next day of a breach with the email account that Kinetico had for me. I told the man that the email account was no longer valid and I thought he changed it, but, I still had to call the office to change the email account just to get a receipt because it evidently went to the deleted account.
A month later I had to have them come back and fix a cracked PVC pipe. The only good thing about that was that I only had to pay for the repairman fees. A few weeks later my bank called and informed me that the charge card that I had used was being used fraudulently. It was closed out. So, you tell me....should I be happy???? Would YOU????
Hi Martha,
Thanks for taking the time to speak with me privately to help clarify your concerns. With better detail, we can reach out to your authorized dealer to take steps to improve customer experience.
Outside installations are very common in southern states where the threat of freezing temperatures is limited. This is true of any brand water treatment product. I'm not certain why your service provider remains surprised, but we'll touch base with them on this point.
We are certain your service provider will also appreciate being made aware of the drop in communication between the technician and the office regarding updating your email contact information. We are sorry for the inconvenience of you having to make a 2nd effort to correct the email address and ask for a receipt.
Then on Aug 27, your bank called because your card had been used fraudulently. No police report was filed. And there is no link to this fraudulent use and the authorized dealer. Unfortunately, credit card hacking has become common place. We would suggest that you work with your bank and the police to track the person that tried to used your account.
Your equipment was installed in 2011 and we thank you for your patronage. We hope that 8 years of product performance will out weigh your recent inconveniences. We will reach out to your dealer to make them aware of your concerns. We are certain that they will appreciate the opportunity to regain your confidence.

I got a water softener, a pre-filter, a RO system, a new pressure tank in the well, a new hot water heater, and the drinking water product from Kinetico. I got estimates and listened to the sales pitch and process and everything they had from about three different companies, and Kinetico was the one that I chose because of the quality of the equipment. And also, they packaged other things for me that I needed done, and they were gonna do it. I was gonna have some electrical work done and some plumbing work done just in preparation for these other guys to come in. So, they would take care of some of those other things.
They moved the pressure tank for me and gave me a brand-new hot water heater. It's a larger, better one that’s stainless steel. And I was also wanting to locate all of these things in a central location, which they did right there in the garage for me. And so, it's all consolidated and easy to work with, easily accessible, and everything is right there. And they gave me a good price on it.
Mike, their installation technician is like a fully licensed master builder. He’d built homes before from the ground up and knows all about everything he can do for building homes, but now, he just focuses on these watering solutions and all of the plumbing and electrical things related to that, and he did an awesome job, set it all up, and came fully equipped to do everything, and he was in in one day. He's got a lot of background. He's fully capable.
The water softener is good. I didn’t trust the water. I had bought a water softener system out in Powhatan where I lived before for four years, and I had a well system out there. This one here also has a well system. But out there, I had problems with the acidity in my water, and I had to end up doing an entire new plumbing on the house because over the course of time, the acidity had eaten through the copper pipes. And so, I had to put a water filtration system in. I hadn’t had chemicals to adjust the PH balance in the water. And so, the whole plumbing thing was redone there. So, I had a lot of interest in making sure this one was set up as soon as possible after I got in it.
As I started investigating, these guys came out and did all the testing and checked it out. They did a good job at it and I'm very pleased with the products I get so far. I went through about four or five cases of bottled water a month, and then now, I use this RO system, and all of our drinking water comes through there and everything else is operating fine.

I’ve been very satisfied with the minimal maintenance needed with the Kinetico system. The water is satisfactory too. A number of years ago, I heard of Kinetico at a home improvement show. I researched it a little bit and I found that it was a demand-type situation. That appealed to me more than an automatic-regeneration-type situation. Everything went smoothly during the installation. I have a whole house system and I have an outlet at the half-lavatory that I use and also at the kitchen sink. Occasionally, I can tell that there has been a generation because the water in the shower seems to be softer. I opt to use Kinetico for the whole house primarily for the shower reason.

I live in James City County which is noted for its very poor water quality. It has lots and lots of sulfur, and I was concerned about my family’s health. We then purchased a Sulfur Guard Backwashing Filter from Kinetico. The installation was excellent. Today, I’m going to change the filter because it has to be changed once a year. Overall, I like the water system a lot.

We're on a well system, and because of the strong smell and taste of the water, I researched about water treatment systems. I looked up Kinetico on the internet, and setting up an appointment with them went well. They were professional and friendly. They tested the water and it was definitely bad. But since having the system installed, the smell and the taste are gone. It made a big difference. I would recommend it to people on the well system that have the same problem.

Way to go to have soft water!! Dave ** installed a water conditioner for us in our basement and he did a beautiful job!!! It works!!!! So now I don't have to clean where the water comes in behind the wash machine. That was such a pain. Not anymore. We don't have the hard water spots anymore in our sinks etc. It really is fantastic to have a Martin Water Softener!! Then Harold ** stopped in 2 mo. as a courtesy check up and showed me how to change the filter and add salt, it is very doable for anyone to do... Harold did a smooth presentation and did it for me!! Good JOB Harold **!!! Martin is the way to go cuz they are good to their word, and they do a thorough Job..

I moved back here in March of ’18, and I’ve always had a water system for drinking. I got the K5 Drinking Water Station from Kinetico and Paul installed it, and he's a nice guy. He also came out to service it for maintenance. He's really personable and seems to really know what he’s doing, and it has worked out very well. I have three cats, and I had been giving them filtered water that I thought was good for them. I thought, “Well, let me give them water out of the faucet too just to make sure they have plenty,” so I did. A couple of them prefer the water coming out of the faucet than they do the Kinetico water, which is very interesting. Somebody mentioned that it’s because the water coming out of the faucet has a smell. But I love Kinetico.

After doing a Google search for water purification systems, I found Kinetico and went for their water softener and reverse osmosis system. Everything went really well when we set up the appointment and the guy that we dealt with was really helpful. He went over everything and was very thorough. The installation went fine, too, though I wish I could have the system put in a different area - in my garage. I got a brand new home and they couldn't cut out the drywall to get into the water system. The layout of my garage had the hot water tank and there's a large space, probably 4-feet by 4-feet or 3-feet, and normally that's where the builder puts the system. And I really wanted it there, but they said they gotta go by where the water line comes in the house. Even though there was no drywall and all the pipes are exposed, they didn't wanna do it.
Other than that, everything is fine. The water out here is very hard and having the Kinetico system brought a big difference from the regular water. It helps my dishwasher, my fridge, the hot water tank and everything because it takes that hard water out of it. I also had a reverse osmosis system at the other house, and comparing the two, Kinetico is the better system. The quality is good for me.

Kinetico is pretty much non-electric except for to pump and all of the parts are sold in Home Depot. It was easy to set up an appointment with their rep and they did a good job during installation. They made it as compact as they could. They fit everything in. And when it came to my pump and my tank, they tested to make sure they could still use it and left that in.
The house was in Virginia and I was getting all of the system done to sell the house. Once they put it in, I noticed that the system works as it supposed to, because prior to that the pump would come on whenever the water ran because it wasn’t hooked up right. They did a really good job from beginning to end and are really easy to deal with, I had a timeframe and they fit me right in as quick as they could. They got it done. They did the test, explained the system, recommended what they thought should be in it, came right back and did the install.

The water where I live in Las Vegas is pretty bad, which led me to research water treatment systems and Kinetico was one of the four choices here in town. It wasn't the cheapest by any means, but I went with them. Setting up my appointment was very good and then, they did the water test when the salesperson came out. They were fast and very efficient. They brought the stuff in, set it up and they were here for only 45 minutes tops. We've had our three-tank system for about a year now and the water is soft. We get good drinking water.

There were softener issues, taste issues and hardening issues in our other house. The crew from Kinetico came over and they did the work, and everything was fine. The only thing that I didn't like was how they put it where the washroom is. They put it in the middle of the floor rather than up against the wall like I had hoped they would have. It's common sense to not put it there. They were putting it in a washroom, so put it up against the wall so that everything else is accessible. They told me that they would have somebody come over and look at it, and if they thought it was fine, then they would just leave it alone. That’s what happened, and I didn't even bother to go into any other issues with them. Everything is clean and everything smells good, so as far as everything else, I was completely satisfied.

All the faucets in my old house eventually leaked and needed to be replaced. I didn't want that to happen when I bought a new house so I looked into water systems. I went with Kinetico and got the top of the line, floor cylinder one. The Kinetico reps were friendly and setting up my appointment with them went well. They did a free water test before they installed the product, and then the installation was quick. They did a good job. They did it as simple as possible for them. And then I had some papers that needed to be put back in, as the paper guy didn't do a good job, but everybody else seemed to do a decent job on it.

We had a Kinetico installed in July 2018 and could see a lot of difference. The water is very soft, which is definitely a plus. You feel like it’s nice water, but I can’t see any other improvement. It’s not doing whatever they promised us. Before, after washing the dishes, there were a lot of stains, and you see the same thing now. It’s not completely gone. We also had a problem. The system was making a lot of weird noises. And from the garage, you could hear that noise up to the second floor. Kinetico tried to fix it, but after a while, it did the same thing. We called them back and they finally decided to change it to a new product. Now we have little noise. And the guy who came was also very professional.

The system I had didn't work. I was getting fuel one day, and Mike from Kinetico pulled up to get some gas, and I told him, "I see you do water filtration." He said, "Yup, that's all we do." And I said I had a job for him if he would come in. The water kept getting orange and when he came over he got a water test and brought a sample back to the lab and that was how it started. Mike just came two weeks ago and checked all the system out and put salt in it, and everything's good. I would highly recommend Kinetico. It's very, very expensive, and a lot of people frown at that, but to me, it was worth it, because I don't have to worry with the water going bad again. I can't give them enough praise. Everything was great, and I can't ask for any better people.

The water in Las Vegas sucks and we got a softener system and an osmosis system underneath the sink from Kinetico Water Systems. At one point, we had a rental house that had that system in it and we stuck with it. Setting up the appointment with Kinetico was straightforward. The reps' level of knowledge of the product was satisfactory and the installers were really nice. They seemed to know what they were doing. When the water was tested, it sucked and when it was tested again after the installation, it was where it needed to be. Since the installation, there has been a huge difference in the quality of water from the osmosis system for drinking and making ice cubes. The quality is much better.

I contacted Kinetico and they came and did a test on our water. Our water was leaving a rotten egg smell ‘cause of the sulfur. Our iron content was staining our brand-new tub and brand-new toilets. They showed us what our iron content was and did try to upsell us a couple of things but they didn’t pressure us into buying them. That was kinda nice. I have the system that has got two tanks in it and the water softener, and my experience has been good so far.
