We had a very poor quality of water and my friends got trustworthy experience with water softeners so we got some including a drinking water filter. We got it from Kinetico because of their customer testimony and I was satisfied with the way they set up the appointment. It went very well. They just tested the water and set up a date. Our water is not brown anymore. Our drinking water tastes good and I don't have to deal with the water softener. The water is clear. I'm happy. It's only quite unfortunate that it's 20 times the price of any big boss competitor and I don't think just anybody could afford it. But I would still recommend it.
We had some mineral buildup in some of our plumbing fixtures so we purchased Kinetico water softener based on the recommendation of the folks at Martin's. Their reps were very professional. They were on time, very thorough and very pleasant. I couldn’t ask for a better support. It wasn’t a hard sell. They did a water test when they were here. They took a water sample and put their chemicals in it, and they had the result. I had gotten quotes from other dealers with different brands and Kinetico did the job. It used less salt than the others, so we went that way. Their installer did a really good job. I was there when he was installing it and he was explaining as he goes and he cleaned up after. Since then, there has been a noticeable difference. We live up in a little rural area with well water and there's a different feel to the water. Kinetico is reliable and it works. I would recommend it.
I have friends that have had Kinetico Water Systems and they loved it. Two months ago, we got a filtration system for our home from them and we love it. I had rusty water and now I can drink the water. It was a good experience. I recommend you get one. It's wonderful.
I got a water softener and water treatment system from Kinetico as my old one went bad. I called the rep and they came out, told me about it and I bought it, then they installed it. They were good to deal with. I can drink the water now using their system.
I had a water system from Kinetico in my old house which I bought twenty years ago. The one I had wasn’t up to my standards so I reached out to them again and bought two systems. Setting an appointment with them was easier now than the last one. Their rep, Amy, did fine. She came out and did something with the water. And, the installation was good. We had a few minor difficulties though. With the first system, there was a water leak in the right tank, and the second one, there’s a water leak in the filter. But they were able to take care of them. Basically, I wanted soft water and we achieved the goal. I have already recommended them and I would tell my friends to buy one too.
Mike arrived at 9:55am for a scheduled 10:00am appointment, so he got off to a perfect start! He had a number of old pieces to take out and several new pieces to install but he was efficient and finished just about exactly the time he thought he would. He was very friendly and professional, explaining what he would be doing before he got started, and then what maintenance is required after he was done. He got a little help from another employee named Matt whose last name I didn't catch, who was also very pleasant and helpful. I couldn't be happier so far with our new filtration system or the Aquarius Home Services employees who put it in. Service with a smile!
I have the water softener and the drinking water system from Kinetico. I liked not having to have so much salt go through your system. And then it’s very low maintenance. That’s the part I really like. Kinetico also checks the air conditioning in the spring and then the heating system in the fall. I’ve been really happy with the service guys that come out.
Every spring I go to the Kinetico thing that they have. They have a luncheon and then they have a special on the salts, so I was getting my salt in the spring. Every spring, they come to my house and change out the water filters. I’ve been changing them myself, but they were squirting water all over the place. Kinetico drains my water heater for me every spring also.
We had a new construction home with well water and I wanted to make sure that we could prolong the use of all of our appliances. The Kinetico rep came, performed a lot of tests and explained the differences in the systems that they offered. He also showed the water quality. The installation team briefed me on where they were putting the water softener and what they needed. It's a great system and everyone was professional and knowledgeable.
There's a lot of farming around me and they use pesticides. I have a well so naturally, the well water has nitrates in it. Also, the water is hard, so I wanted to take care of that. I got a water filter for drinking water, a reverse osmosis filter, and then, a water softener from Kinetico. I got the water softener because it was cheaper if you get both of them. They sold me on that one, plus we also needed them both. Their reps were professional and they did their job like they should. I would recommend Kinetico to a friend. It's the best system you can get for your home.
I purchased a Kinetico water softener and it's doing what I want it to do. We had rusty water so I wanted to get a different system, and I ended up going with Kinetico knowing that their products' quality is better and they're supposed to last longer. A salesman came down and did a free water test. And I was with the installation team the whole time, and everything went great.
Our old electric system kept not working any time we had power outages and then it needed to be reset so we were mostly interested in the non-electric system. We have very hard well water and we needed soft water. We purchased the Kinetico softener system and also the RO for the drinking water. Their representatives were courteous but there were some problems with the product and it took them a month to get it figured out. They were pretty good but the products were expensive and we were a little disappointed that it took over a month to get it resolved and yet we still got charged full price. We didn’t get anything off of it other than some free product that we were supposed to be getting for free anyway for the first year. We haven’t gotten any of the service that we were supposed to be getting after the sale yet either.
Hi Scot,
Thanks for taking the time to let us know of your experience and also for giving us the chance to improve our processes.
Where I live the water is really hard and horrible. The PSI was really high and I was having problem with the salt. I just bought the house about a year ago and I wasn't told anything. When everything just started falling apart, I called Kinetico. I called a couple of other people but Kinetico got the best estimate and then the people were great too. They have been really kind when I set up the appointment. The person that picks up the phone was fantastic. From the beginning, she was really kind and really tried to adjust to my schedule too.
I got a pretty good installer. His name is Gerry and he was fantastic too. He set up everything for me and showed me the products that they have. I got their water softener, water heater, and home water purifier. I did it one by one. It’s quite expensive at the same time, so step by step we started doing everything. Since having Kinetico, my water has been incredible. I didn’t believe it at the beginning because I was really a skeptic about it. I had other ones too and they were telling me that I was going to feel a big difference. I said, “No. I don’t think so. We’ll wait.” But when I finally got Kinetico, the difference is like day and night. Even when I take a shower, it's fantastic. I had a water pressure problem and I was getting 80 PSI of water pressure, and it was just eating up all the salt every time. Every time I put a bag in the water softener, it will just eat it up. So, they regulated the whole thing with me. They do a great job.
I’d totally recommend Kinetico. I had a problem with the heating system on Christmas Eve. It wasn’t turning on, and it was just turning on and off constantly. My house went down a minus. It was like 60 degrees at home. We were freezing to death. They came out without charging me anything. They cleaned up a few pieces, and then that’s it. I had a great experience Kinetico.
Called on his way, showed up to my home when he said he would, used his own carpet, really appreciated that he went out of his way to protect my floors by wearing shoe covers, great customer service, didn’t feel pressured at all. Would recommend Aquarius Home Services and Kinetico to anyone.
When it was the schedule for Kinetico's sales team to come out they were very on time. We didn't even know the guy who came out was somebody that we knew because both of our daughters went to the same dance place. He was super polite the whole time and very informative. He was doing all these things and we only figured out that we kind of knew him until the end of the appointment. He was the same when we knew him and the same when we didn't know him, which was nice. Everybody else that has been in the house was super professional and very helpful.
The install team was equally as good. They very much walked us through the whole process. The installation guy really evaluated our set up and tried to make everything work the way I wanted it to. And then after the install was done I have questions about it and I was able to text back and forth with the installer and he answered my questions. So it was definitely better than most service calls that you have with general utility type work.
I bought an in-home reverse osmosis water softening system from them and then the under the sink mounted drinking water system too. We had one in our previous house. For the drinking water we wanted to make sure that that was filtered. We live in in an area where there are some contaminants in the water that aren't of concern for the state so it's also a precautionary thing. The water is extremely hard in our area so the Kinetico system definitely does the best job at softening and uses way less salt. With my older system I have to put 3 bags and for them it's like a bag every three months.
And I think the whole point of softener system was the clothes get cleaner with less soap and our skin is better because it's not so dried out from the hard water. Kinetico is not a cheap system but you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to water softening, the product and the service. And being that we bought two of these now speaks to the product and the company.
Kinetico is installed, but we haven't hooked it up yet because we still don't have water in the house -- we are building a new house. However, we used to have a Kinetico water softener in our other house and we liked it. Our water tasted better, became healthier and it was really good drinking water. We must have had it for about 10 years up there, and maintenance was fine. We learned about it from my sister who had it installed down in Stillwater. We got the reverse osmosis and the water softener as we have hard water here and it has been tested. Setting the appointment and installation went fine. We will recommend it to anybody.
We had high content of iron in our new well and a plumber recommended Kinetico. It was easy setting up an appointment with them and they responded pretty quickly. But I'm not real happy with the service in the end. The guy asked to sign something on his iPad and he said it was to show that he was here. I asked that he email it to me but he did not and he did not return the phone call either. They need to do a better job at following up. If they're as aggressive with the follow-up as they were the initial sale, it would be great. We purchased a water softener conditioning system and the water's not orange now but we still have some concerns. It's probably a good system but it was extremely expensive and I would tell others to shop around.
Jim, Thank you for providing feedback about your Kinetico water system and your experience with your area Kinetico water professional. If there is anything we can do to improve, please contact us at customersupport@kinetico.com
I had a lot of acid in the water and Kinetico put in a neutralizer for me. I was getting blue stains in the tub and that seems to resolve the problem, except I am still getting just a little blue spot under the spout. But the big part of the stain was gone. The results are great, everything is working good and the neutralizer took care of my problem. I also got a whole house filter and two water softeners from them. I would recommend Kinetico to anybody. I'm one of a handful that had terrible water, a lot of iron, sediment, and acid. If they can fix my water, they can fix anybody's water problem. Their system is wonderful and they should be your first call.
We knew Martin Appliance was very reputable that's why we went through them and purchased Kinetico Water Systems from them. We got the drinking and softening and our experience with Kinetico has been good. Setting up an appointment through Martin was simple and the installation was done quickly. The installers were also very nice. We would recommend Kinetico Water Systems. People should try Kinetico and call them and see if it will fix what their problem is.
Jakelynn, Thanks for letting people know of your positive experience with Kinetico and Martin Water Conditioning! We're happy that you're enjoying your new water softener and drinking water system.
We got Kinetico for water softening and sediment removal for a residential water system, well water. I have had them for years. I wanted to double check to make sure I was using the right sediment filter. The lady took the time to try to find out. She pointed me in a couple of different directions where I could ask that question, but they didn’t really know the answer right then and there. But eventually they pointed me in the right direction of approximately the right filter. It’s a string-type filter, almost like a spool of string compared to a paper filter and we’d been using the paper. However, I read that the paper filter is not suitable for well water systems, but it is the one that was recommended by Aiello, the company that installed the system.
We had a water softener already but it wasn’t working properly. Our daughter and family would come to stay for the weekend from out of town, and she wouldn't even take a shower at our house because she has eczema. The water would burn her skin and it makes her break out. We got the tank that went on our ice maker from Kinetico Water Systems. Our appointment with the guy from Kinetico, as well as the installation of the Kinetico system, was good. There was only one person that did the installation and it took about four hours. It’s working fine and we’re happy with it so far.
I had a filtration system before but the ones I had sucked, and I didn’t care because I rented the goods for about seven years and they sent me a bill. But they raised my price which I didn’t have anybody coming out to check on it or replace anything, so I told them to come and get it. After that, I went with Boss, and it didn’t work that well too. Then I went with Kinetico. The guy that came out and showed me his Houdini stuff about water softening and water hardeners was good. I bought the water softener from Kinetico, and the guy that installed it was in and out really quick. Since we’ve had Kinetico last month, our water lathered up better and seemed to be cleaning better, and we got soft water.
The machine works well and everything was great except for when they billed me. First, it was supposed to be a contract so I got billed monthly. But they sent me a bill so it had to be paid now on the first of the year, so I got the money and I paid it off. Then they said that I wasn’t supposed to do that, but I told them that I wasn’t going to pay any interest because I paid in full upfront. It took a few phone calls, and it's okay now that I understood it.
We have Kinetico for years and my experience has been good. We’ve always been happy with the water softener that we have. However, we switched from well water to city water, and we put chlorine in the water. We had no idea that we had to get a chlorinator on our water softener until my hair started turning green. So, we called Kinetico. They came out, checked, and said that the chlorine level was so high so we bought a chlorinator for $1,500. It was put in three weeks ago but it doesn’t seem to be doing much difference. However, they were very professional when they were here.
Our water is real bad and rusty and I've heard a lot of good about Kinetico. Also, their system doesn't use electricity. I got a softener, two tanks and a filter. Setting up the appointment was easy and the rep was real nice. Everything was real good with the installation. The system took care of the rust and our water tastes much better now. I'd recommend them.
I bought a fridge from Best Buy and the water filtration system from Kinetico came with it. The installers that came were professional. I would recommend Kinetico.
We had hard water and our water softener wasn’t working properly. We set up our appointment with Kinetico and it was seamless. Their rep talked through some things then we had a follow-up meeting. This is my second one from Kinetico. I had one in the original house and we bought a second one, a water softener called The Powerline. A week ago, their reps followed up with me which was great and they were asking about my product. This is a new house so I'm trying to get used to what parts of the water is softened and what's not because I think there are some parts of the house that intentionally are not softened. But I believe the softener's working properly because it's starting to use more salt. It wasn't using more salt at the beginning but I guess that's part of the product. It's not supposed to use on a bunch of salt, which is great.
I enjoyed working with Kinetico and I would recommend them. I'd tell others my previous experiences where I didn't have any issues and it seemed to be of good quality. And I like the simplistic use of the one I got. It just does its thing. I never had to mess around with it very often versus some others that I've had over the years. This one's pretty easy to use. Also, I really enjoyed working with the company. They deliver and not just sell the product. They have a great follow up too which is good to see. I appreciate the extra representative that came out and the person that installed it. There were two different people and different products that I dealt with over the years and they've all been pretty consistent as far as their behavior, knowledge and their ability to get it done.
The house that we purchased a year ago had a water softener attached to it. Things were going well until we had a small leak. I called the local office here and a fellow came, took a look at it and gave us the honest-to-God scoop on the current condition of our 20-year old system. He told us, in the best way, that the way to fix the problem was to put a new system as the system was 20 years old. We then decided to go that route. He explained to us in detail but in simple terms the difference between the Kinetico system and a regular water softener and he sold is on it. He was very good about making sure that we understood the difference between the systems' costs. Of course, the Kinetico cost more but when you factor in the cost of replacing other systems on a three to five-year basis, everything would make sense.
It wasn't high-pressure sales either. He told us straight facts. If we had any questions, he answered them for us so we could understand them. He then put together the system in a matter of hours and he did a tremendous and neat job. He rerouted some of the pipes for us and made it a little bit more pleasing to the eye. He also set it up where we had him also install the line filter. He was very good in showing us how everything works and how to surface it. He gave us his business card and told us to call him if we had any questions. He did a terrific job both on the original service call and the explanation on how best to fix things, and in getting the new one in. He was really great. We now have soft water that we want with the amount that we want. We're satisfied and we've mentioned Kinetico to a couple of folks.
We got some sulfur in our water. My wife saw Kinetico on one of the advertisements so we thought we'd give them a call. They came right away so we went with them and bought a filter system. It's one of the small ones that's about a foot long and it was a whole lot more expensive than what I originally had. But we were able to tell the difference with our water right after they put the system in. Their rep, Mark, was good and he went through a lot of stuff on it. The only thing that he didn’t tell us was how fast the system would regenerate and how long that would take. We only put it in on the 21st of December and yesterday afternoon, the system started regenerating. It ran all night and we ran out of water.
We called Kinetico and their tech was here this morning. We don’t know if a piece of sulfur got stuck in it, but it ran so long and we got a big bunch of water in the ditch by the house. When we turned the water back on after their tech was here at noon, it was all black. He was going to go back and try to get a head ordered today to see when they would get it next week. Other than that, Kinetico did what we wanted them to do and we were satisfied with how they handled the situation.
We have hard water that has damaged most of our faucets and caused us to replace five hot water heaters. I did some research and then saw Kinetico Water Systems. We had a couple of different people come in to give their spiels. We liked Jason and what he had to say about their system. So we got a small reverse osmosis tank under our sink and we have the big unit out in our garage. The installation team were terrific. It was freezing cold then and we had a leak outside. They have fixed that while they were in the process of installing the system. They end up with a small leak in the kitchen that had to do with the fitting, but I don't blame them. I also might ask for somebody to come back and work with us. We're still seeing spots, so maybe some minor tweaking needs to be done. But I can definitely can tell that our water was softer and I expect that it's going to be a lot better on all of our faucets.
There was a lot of rust and calcium in our water. We had a Culligan machine system so it was obvious that their system wasn't working. We set up our appointment with Kinetico easily and the rep who came out tested our water. We purchased one of their filtration systems and we had something put in for a whole other system and our drinking water. Their installation team was fast, they got here when they said they were going to be here, and did a nice job. There was a huge difference with our water since then and I would definitely suggest Kinetico. It's been a 180 on our water. I can't believe we went so long without Kinetico.
It's my second time to purchase a Kinetico Water Systems and we're just tickled to death. When we first moved to Round Rock Texas, I started researching water softeners. I looked at every vendor that I can find either on the internet or the yellow pages. Then I sent a solicitation for bid for water softeners and the water filter. And I zeroed in on Kinetico because of how it is. When I got the specs for it, I sent the specifications to all the other vendors and asked them to explain how their system is better than the Kinetico system. None of them responded. They were all quick to come to my house and give me quote, free demonstration, and talk. But none of them wanted to actually explain how their system was better than the Kinetico System.
We were really happy with our first Kinetico water system. It's completely mechanical and it runs automatically. We had it for seven years with no problems before we sold our house and moved. And so when we moved to Kyle, it was no-brainer. We set everything up in advance when I had the house built and made sure we had a conduit to run our reverse osmosis lines over to our refrigerator so I can get it hooked up to the system.
The guys that came in and hooked everything up were great. They left the connection from our refrigerator so the Series guy came to hook up our Kenmore Pro refrigerator. But he was just confused and thought he had no connection to our system so he went to get an adapter. When he went out to get a wrench, I reached down and just screwed the fitting that the Kinetico guys left on the line. I just screwed that right into the refrigerator and it worked like a charm. And then the installer came back to find that I've already got it hooked up. I had it finger tight. It was seamless and painless and I was really happy with it.
So far, I'm really happy that our K5 reverse osmosis system was idiot proof. Whenever it's time to change the filters, it lets you know because no water would come out. So if someone has the money, they should go with Kinetico. I had one of those rinky-dink cheap systems from Series year ago when I was living in El Paso. And after about six months the media in it was saturated. It was just horrible. Overall, Kinetico may not be cheap but it's worth the money.
We bought a new house and we weren’t getting soft water. I got a Kinetico water softener and we’ve also had a Kinetico before. Kinetico is a little expensive, but it works great so I'm willing to spend money. Setting up the appointment was easy. I took a water test and the result was pretty hard. There was some iron in it. The installation experience was great. We weren’t used to chlorinated water, and the chlorine is gone now, so that’s good. The water is also softer.
From getting a quote to getting the system installed... My experience was extremely prompt and professional. I had watching the commercials for years and finally decided to give it a try... Wish I hadn’t waited so long!!! The water, the ice, and my hair are all AWESOME!! Will definitely recommend to my friends and neighbors!
We bought the water filtering system, the water softening system and the iron filtering system from Kinetico. The product has worked really well. We had a problem with the iron system that they gave us. It cycles too much water and our floor drain couldn’t keep up with it, so it caused some flooding. They switched it out for something different at no cost so, that worked out well. Kinetico did a really good job. The system performs the way they say it's going to.
We got rust in our water. We called Kinetico and they came out and looked at it. Then they tested the water and told us what we needed. We have the reverse osmosis system for 12 years now and we recently had it upgraded. Then we had an iron filtration put in. When they came out, everybody was very professional, friendly, and treated us very well. We love the system and we continue working with Kinetico because that's the type of equipment we have.
Our water had iron and it was coming out brown. Also, the water at my old house was really hard and the water softening system that came with the place had broken down so, I had to buy a new one. I called a couple of bigger companies and when Martin Water came out, they use Kinetico and I decided to go with them. They were slightly better in price and the company that does it has been in business for a long time so, I trusted them. They were more knowledgeable, too and they were able to explain the water system thoroughly. They came out on time and they were professional and cordial. They did the water sampling and told me what I needed. They made an appointment and came out to install the water system. They also followed-up a couple of weeks later and redid the sampling.
We now have the water softener installed and we put rock salt in it because we are having trouble with iron and also, there’s something that neutralizes the acid. Now, the water is coming out clear. In addition, Kinetico's customer service people answered right away when I had to call to order more softener. Their company is located far from where I live and the salesperson was willing to come and drop off the softener so, they were very accommodating.
I bought a water softener and a water purifier from Kinetico since we had county water. We also wanted to extend the life of our appliances, like the water heater. I met with their local rep at the home and garden show and set an appointment up. He then showed up the day after I called and we talked and made a deal. They installed the system the next day. Since having it, we have noticed an immediate difference. Our previous water softener was an older model and we weren't sure if it was still working. Also, they provided a water filter as part of the package so the water has little odor or taste. We also like how the system doesn't require power. Overall, we had a very good, quick, and painless experience with them. We got what we wanted. We paid a little more but it was all worth it. We definitely recommend them.
I talked to people from the secretary all the way up to the guy who runs Kinetico's branch here and they were all pleasant and good. There were a lot of problems, but they were able to deal with them. For example, I called them when I came home and found my garage flooded. At 11 o’clock at night, a man came out and told me that they had screwed up when they installed the water softener. He spent an hour and a half and fixed it. Two days later, I opened the garage door and there was water again. Kinetico determined that I have impervious cover underground so the untreated water went right back into the garage. They had to send a guy out to drain. By this time I know they have lost money because of all the labor and stuff.
Then the water purifier under the sink that they also installed would not work. This was the fourth problem that I've had. I called and talked to the head guy because I was ready to have them come yank the whole thing out because I thought this was more of a problem than I've ever imagined and I don’t want it anymore. They sent me to a manager and then it went all the way up to the highest position. Jay convinced me to keep the system. They sent someone to change out the machine under the sink. That was close to February last year and I've not had any further problems with it.
I'm very happy now. It was problem after problem, but the people at Kinetico were professional. Some of the problems were completely preventable if they had done the installation right the first time. But they did what they said they would do and kept their word. For that I'm very grateful. I would recommend them to anybody else. In fact, I've had other people ask me about my experience and I said they're good. I'm next to Lake Travis outside of Austin and it's known for its limestone. It was very difficult to clean the shower glass and the dishwasher was cloudy, but that’s been resolved now. I enjoy the water softener very much.
We have hard water in the area leaving my skin really dry, my hair brittle and all our fixtures stained. I have a friend that uses Kinetico Water Systems and she recommended that I check them out. We did the water filtration system or the RO system and the water softener system with the brine tank. Setting up our appointment was really easy. I did it online and then I had somebody call me back within 24 hours which was impressive because I did it on a Saturday. I had to reschedule my appointment twice but they were very flexible and they were great about that.
The sales person who came was great and very knowledgeable. They did live demonstrations and then the rep sat down with us and answered every question that I had and he was very flexible with us on financing too. I used to work in industrial water treatment and I have some background knowledge of how the systems work and Kinetico seemed to be the most knowledgeable of the various companies that I had spoken with. Also, it was less of a sales pitch than the others.
The installation team was beyond phenomenal. We bought it on a Saturday and the following Tuesday, we were having them install it. So, that was incredible and then the person who came over called before he got there and made sure it was still a good time. I showed the installer where everything was and he gave me an outline of how long he thought it would take them to set everything up. The installer went above and beyond in showing the parts of the system and when he was done, my husband and I walked through the entire system including how it works, what he set-up and how they take all of the different equipment. If we had any question, we knew exactly what we were looking at equipment-wise.
Since installing the system, I don’t have to clean my shower every day so that’s awesome. But, we end up drinking a lot more water because it’s more satisfying than the water that we had before. That’s the huge feature of the filtration system. Also, there’s no residue on my dishes and on my appliances anymore. I don’t have to use nearly as much dishwasher soap, soap in the washer, shampoo, anything. It has been great all around. I would definitely recommend them to anybody that has asked.
I bought a water softener from Kinetico a few years ago. We're in Minnesota and we needed it bad for our rentals. Our water area has a lot of rust and I needed to get a good system for our tenants in them. When I dealt with Kinetico, they did what they said they were going to do. They're good and people should go for it.
When we bought our home, the water was hard and tested for E.coli. We drink a lot of water and we wanted to be able to drink our water and know that it's good water for drinking. So, we called Kinetico and they came out the next day. We bought a water softening system as well as a water filtering system. The gentleman who installed the system worked the whole day and did a great job. He was also very informative and explained everything, like how often he'd come out and change the filters and how often we should change the filters. We've had the system for five months now and the water has tasted better and has been clearer. It's like power water. The experience has been great and professional from start to finish. It was one of the best I've ever experienced.
Kinetico Water Systems got a great reputation, but right now, I'm not really happy. In the last couple of months, our water is not as soft as it should be and it was definitely not the way it was when the system was first installed. So I had them come out and check it and they said that it was fine. But we take showers and it still feels hard.
Hi Jim,
Many thanks for the feedback. If there is anything we can do to improve, tell us about it at customersupport@kinetico.com
Setting up our appointment with Kinetico Water Systems was flawless because our saleslady was really good. She was our third-party throughout the entire process. She was there to calm us down in all the hiccups, headaches and nightmares. We bought the water softener and the installation team was here about three times before it actually got installed and each time, they had the ample opportunity to install it as it was at the timeline but they didn't. They said that they couldn't do anything because there wasn't a well. I told them that walls will be put up so they better put up their waterline.
My plumber overheard the conversation so he took it upon himself to rough in the lines. However, there were a couple of lines that my plumber did not know about but the installation team did. Now, we have exposed water lines in the finished part of the basement which is not very nice. Other than it not working, for it must have been six months, and using 800 pounds of salt in two months, I'm not satisfied with Kinetico at all and I would not recommend them to anybody.
Hi Christian,
Thanks for making us aware of your concerns and providing us the opportunity to improve matters.
We're on a well and we had some really hard water. Setting up the appointment with Kinetico went okay. The best part of the whole deal was our salesperson, Joey at Orlando Water. He couldn’t be more helpful. He kept checking, and coming by and bringing a little salt, beyond the time that he was supposed to. Then we had some issues with the system. He rallied the troops, got them out here and got everything reset and recalibrated. He was very honest. When he came out and tested the water, it wasn’t that bad, but after talking to him, we felt like going ahead and see if we can clean it up even more. We've got good water but it has enough mineral in it that we wanted it to be removed. Since then, coffee and water taste better, the toilets do not get iron buildup and the icemaker works a whole lot better. It's hard to believe that that little bit of effort really made a big difference in the quality of the water.
I had a cheap Microline RO system and it was always a pain to change the filters. Then I had a problem with the iron filter as it was spitting on some of the beads. And we had that fixed. My wife was buying water and she had said this stuff that we were getting upset her stomach. Kinetico is the leading provider and they had the reputation, so I called and had them come over. We have a well and we have a big tank that water goes into first and there's air in that. It gets rid of the sulfur smell as it oxidizes the sulfur. Their rep took some of the water out and did a test on the water and showed us everything. That went very well as he was very knowledgeable and he answered all my questions. We started with an RO system then I asked about the water softener.
The only thing was the K5 RO system that I got has so many filters in there. Also, I noticed that the side panel is missing and the filter is sticking out. It's not a big deal but it would be nice to have something that can be put on there to keep the dust out of the insides. We got the service so the next time they're going to come to replace the filters, I could ask them. The system was expensive but you pay for what you get and it's a pretty good system so far. They pretty much replaced everything and I didn’t expect that. The water tastes good and it measured at 0 parts per million. I've got a TDS meter that's on the RO system and I've got a regular tap and it doesn’t go really like the RO.
The Kinetico is better than what I used to. Plus, they have good service and they offer a service where they can come and replace the filters for a monthly charge. Otherwise, I can buy the filters myself and replace them. They don’t look that hard to replace except for the sediment filter because it's behind the unit and we don’t have a lot of room down there. I would recommend Kinetico wholeheartedly. If you want to buy a system for less than 400 bucks, go get a cheap one, but they're not going to do the job that Kinetico does.
Our water was terrible. It was very hard and yellow. We were using bottled water for a long time. Kinetico installed the water softener, the drinking water filter and the whole house filter. The people from Kinetico had to come out and do the water test prior to installing it. After the installation, we can drink the water, wash clothes with it, and then shower and not feel scratchy. My experience with Kinetico was perfect all the way around and the reps I've talked to were wonderful. I would recommend others to buy Kinetico's water system. It's absolutely outstanding!
Kinetico was great all the way around. The guy from Kinetico was knowledgeable, took his time, did a good job and a good clean-up. I’ve had the water softener here for about 11 years. I purchased the RO system for drinking water and because of it the water has no smell. They only need to improve on their price.
We had hard water so we set up our appointment with Kinetico and the people that we spoke with were very nice. We got a water softener and our dealing with their salesman and installer went very well. They went through a demonstration of how the system is going to work and how to change the filter. Since we got our Kinetico water sysem, there's a huge difference in the quality and the softness of our water. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.
I purchased a kitchen sink water system from Kinetico and I had a good experience with them. We just moved here in May and there was some light gunk on my stuff. And then there were some concerns about some chemical spillage from the 3M plant that’s not too far from here. I have small kids and I want to make sure everything’s good. Brian, the sales rep was very nice. He came and demonstrated what water was in it and what the products did. He was not pushy at all about the sales piece of it and was really understanding about the cost and how we had to try to figure out how it can work within our budget. He was great.
It took a couple of months from when he came out until we figured out how to incorporate it into the budget. We just got the drinking water. There was a confusion about if we were going to do the financing or the payment but other than that, the installation was really quick and the installation guy was pleasant. Right now, there's a difference in the water and even the ice cubes are clearer. I totally love it.
I had a Kinetico water softener but it wasn't working properly since the iron had built up in it. I called them to get someone to come out to look at it as it needed to be adjusted. The service guy then came and he was good and knowledgeable. Apparently, the unit needed a whole new overhaul so we traded for a new one. The new one is doing a lot better job than the old one, and I’m satisfied.
We've always been interested in having better water since our water was very hard and better drinking water is always a good thing. I purchased the RO System from Kinetico and it was installed inside. There weren’t a lot of RO options around and Kinetico was one of the first ones I found regarding filtrations as opposed to other systems. It was also a better long-term solution in terms of what we need to replace the filters and it made more sense.
I’m happy with their products and what we have, but I had to finish the installation myself. They should have followed up with me on that. They also broke the faucet so I had to get a new one. Other consumers may be more upset with that but it was a faucet they weren’t used to installing and that was fine since I’ve done lots of plumbing in my days.
We moved from one location to another and in doing so, we left the water softener behind that we had for 40 years. We were very used to having one and knowing what it could do for everything involved with our life. When we moved into this new place, they didn’t have a water softener here. So we knew almost immediately after using the water here that someday we would get one. We spoke to a gentleman and they came and tested our water. We liked what the presentation was and thought it would serve us best. Then we purchased the water softener of Kinetico for the whole house.
The rep who we spoke with was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. He saw the little amount of area that we had to put a water softener in and was able to meet those needs. Also, the installation guys were very thorough. They knew exactly what they had to do. They came out to install the water softener, came right away to check on what they had done and double checked that everything was working properly and it was done the way it should’ve been done. All in all, it was an experience that we would highly recommend to anybody. This water softener is not only more efficient, but it's also more economical compared to the one we had before. I went from wearing jeans that were like cardboard to wearing something that was nice and soft again.
I had Kinetico 25 years ago and then, got a softener and RO system installed in my new home since the nitrates are high in the area that I'm at. I'm a home builder and I had worked with their area representative in the past. Everything was fine with the setting up, the representatives, and the installation. And it was good that they have a free water test. I recommend Kinetico all the time.
The Kinetico representative was able to answer my questions and she also tested the water for free. I got their water softener system and the installation went along well. But I had to go all the way up to Daytona to get the stuff I needed. Other than that, our water is softer since the installation and everything seems to be working fine. We're satisfied with it.
There was no water softener in the house when we bought it, and my wife and child have dry skin. We had a RainSoft in our last house but decided to go with Kinetico this time. The rep called and told me they can do it, and it was done. Kinetico did everything, and the experience was great. They did the free water test too. I told them they didn't have to, but they went with it anyway. The installation team was in and out, and another guy came back and then checked a week later. Kinetico is as expensive as hell but it works great. This is the first time in 20 years that I drink water off our faucet.
We had a hard water built up in our home and our things were not getting clean in the washer. We had our water tested by another system several years ago and they found a small amount of nitrate in the water. Since then we had been using bottled water. We had kids and we were just upheld by the fact that we would have all that plastics thrown in the garbage. A lot of our clients are resort people. They own resorts and my husband started asking them questions about their water filter, their water and how they took care of that. We were warned that it was quite expensive but Kinetico was the best company that we heard of and we're happy with it. I got a water softener and a water filter from them.
The rep was very informational and he knew the product. I kept telling them I need to know the price and he kept telling me more information about it and that what time it was coming. He was very pleasant. The installer was very nice and informational as well. The only thing is I'm not sure what to do now. He left me information and I can go back and read that. But, I keep checking it or keep having thoughts that I need to check it sooner or fill it up.
Before, my husband's shirts were completely ruined. There were sweat marks and then the laundry detergent would stick to that. And we ended up throwing them away. With Kinetico, I don't have to do that anymore. They're coming clean and that's amazing to me. And our shower is cleaner and we don't have to buy the water bottles anymore. The water tastes great and I would recommend Kinetico to friends but I would also let them know about the price.
I’ve had a Kinetico water softener system for six years. One reason I purchased from them was place. Secondly, I know the guys and the quality of work they do. But when I first looked into it, I had concerns about the particular unit that I have selected. I spoke to a guy twice at length about the plus and minus of the system and I felt comfortable with what he was telling me. Plus I also did my own research. When the installation guys came over, they installed it in half a day and were clean. It was perfect. Kinetico is local and price-competitive, and they do a phenomenal job. I’d tell my friends to give them a try.
I'm retired from the army and I fixed the reverse osmosis water purification system for the military so I know what should be and what shouldn't be in the water. I also worked on some infrastructure and as an engineer designer for many, many years for Orange County. I was a developer so I know that the quality of the water is not the best.
When I called Kinetico, they were quick to work and they came right away. Other companies that I called up could take a week before they could help somebody. The sales team also answered all my questions, and were very knowledgeable about the system and water in general. The plumber who came to do the installation was very knowledgeable too and he moved very fast and very smoothly throughout the process. I got a whole water softener for the house and a reverse osmosis system for potable drinking water. The water is now much better including the taste and with the laundry. There's no itching after a shower too. Kinetico is the best system in my opinion, and I've told some of my neighbors about the system.
Our water was hard and so we got a single tank and a reverse osmosis system from Kinetico. I set up the appointment and the guy got in here in recorded time. He had his tooth broken in half and was in an excruciating pain. I felt bad for him so I told him that he could come back after he gets that taken care of, but he suffered through it and hooked everything up. He even spent the time to go through everything with me and that was hard for him. He said that it took a long time that day along with what he normally would have taken and he apologized for that.
I had a free water test before the installation but I also wanted one after. And the salesman said that he would do that for us, so I'm waiting for something. I fell in my tub, the mat came lose and I'm wondering if the water is too soft or maybe the mat needs to be cleaned or get a new one instead. Nevertheless, I feel a lot better now and I don't see the residue in the sink, in the dishwasher, and the bathtub after having the Kinetico products. I'm very satisfied with Kinetico and I would recommend them to others. Somebody was asking me about how we liked the reverse osmosis and I told them that it's great.
When I bought the house at a foreclosure, Kinetico was the company on it then. I then got a service contract with them, and they stood for everything that I paid for, for four years now. We have a well, so it is filthy water, and because I'm a contractor, it's something I know. It's not city water. So I got a reverse osmosis system from them. That's what I've always used when I was there. The water's perfect for me and my wife loves it. We have no complaints.
The only time I ever have to call them is because I have a problem, and usually, it's a major one. Scheduling them is about as simple as it gets. You just call the office and tell them you got a problem. They came out there the last time at 5:00 till almost 9:00 at night trying to fix the problem. And of course he fixed the problem. They're definitely service-oriented. They're very responsible, responsive, and a customer oriented company. I never had a problem with Kinetico, ever. It usually takes them a couple of hours to get out there. I'm about to sell my house and build another house, and I'm going to take Kinetico with me to my new house. And I've recommended them to everybody I know.
I was concerned with the water quality and health so I researched for water softener. I Googled on what was rated high and Kinetico had a good rating. I tried to find if they sell it in my area. The price point was also a reason I purchased from Kinetico. I called and they made an appointment. Then, they came out and looked at my system. I ended up having to do extra work to have the water softened and where it was going to go. I purchased the water filtration reverse from them. I took advantage of their free water test when I had an issue. Recently, I had products reinstalled in my house that I purchased. One guy installed it and he was good. The water’s quality and the taste are good. Plus, I have the assurance that I’m drinking safe water. I have recommended Kinetico to a friend.
Back in 2004, we were at the Minnesota State Fair and we saw Kinetico's presentation. My husband decided, he was going to switch water softeners because of the pricing at the time. When we got a divorce and sold that house, I moved into a townhouse. I wanted the good tasting water that I had been living with for 13 years because I’m in Plymouth, Minnesota and the water is not good. The smell was almost nauseating to me. The townhouse came with a water softener from Commers and the water smelled bad and tasted bad. I called Kinetico and had them come put a system in for me. Aquarius provides the service for my Kinetico. They come out twice a year to change all my filters and they test the water. They were such a great team and Kinetico should keep Aquarius always.
I also did an extra thing for extra filtration on the drinking water. Kinetico took it to my refrigerator and then to my ice machine. My sink just has regular Plymouth unsoftened water so I can water my plants. But the cold water out of my refrigerator and my ice is made out of good Kinetico water. I started a new job, and it’s not far from my house, and they also have crappy water. I drink a lot of water, so every day I fill these plastic 32-ounce water bottles. I take two of them to work with me so I have my own Kinetico water. It’s a stellar product and I have told many people about it.
We got tired of drinking water that didn’t taste good. We saw the Kinetico water systems being advertised saying that it was worth a try. They were telling us that we were going to have good drinking water. We called the company here in town and they sent a woman out that was very knowledgeable. She told us about the unit and was with us all the way through the installation. Kinetico is the one that we were working with. They were helping us and telling us that we were going to have good drinking water which we do.
The installers were here for a day and they were also very knowledgeable in what they were doing. They installed the system per their instruction. They did well and we were satisfied with it. When they were finished, the unit was sitting out there and everything else had been cleaned up. The drinking water is probably the best that I’ve had in the 40 something years that I’ve lived in Florida. Kinetico puts out a good product. However, there were sections of the drinking water status that I was not happy with and my wife said it’s the ice maker.
Also, it’s loud enough that unless we're doing something which creates a loud sound, we can hear it. I called to get some relief from the noise and I was told that we have to live with it or spend a hundred and something dollars. If I had it all to do over again, I probably would have chosen someone else. Even though it accomplished what we were going for, which is the best drinking water, it caused concern that we couldn’t get rid of that after noise. People should be prepared to withstand the noise after the system is in and running for a while.
Hi John,
Thanks for letting us know of the sound you experienced from your drinking water system.
The local installer let us know that they were able resolve the issue.
Please let us know if there is additional assistance we can provide.
We needed to replace the water filtration system that we had and decided on getting Kinetico. We found them online and the reps did a really nice job explaining what they had available. They were also very timely and nice to work with. And then, the installers were very nice and attentive too. Everything went really well with the installation and since then our water has been much better. The taste is great and the water pressure is good. So overall, it's quite nice.
I bought a water softener and an RO from Kinetico Water Systems. They're good but they are a little spendy. I bought the one I had in my house 20 something years ago, and it went down. I paid good money for that thing and it did a wonderful job. Setting up an appointment with them went well and they came to test my water when they were supposed to. Although I already knew what it was, we verified that and figured out the system that I needed. I knew which one I already needed anyway, but then they showed me what the packages were and I needed the RO too. Everything went well and within seven days of my first phone call the thing was in and done.
My old water system before didn’t work anymore. One of Kinetico's water systems runs by itself and doesn't require electricity so, I went with them. Setting up the appointment was easy, they came out and explained things. A couple of days after, they took the old one out and put the new one in. I got four tanks, the softener box and the filter plus, I got a tank under the sink with the two cartridges for the drinking water. I’m so used to the soft water and it does a pretty good job because the salt has gone down a little bit. On the other hand, the drinking water is not working right anymore so, I turned the valve off.

I bought a property that had hard water. It was recently remodeled and there were iron stains in a lot of the fixtures like the toilet. I was concerned about getting the iron and the stuff like calcium that made the water hard. My property is also on a site that's contaminated by 3M so there are toxins in the groundwater. It may be okay for a grown man to drink such water but not for a pregnant woman or a small child. I thought it would be better safe than sorry. I did some research online and found Kinetico, which has good reviews. Based on what I read, it seemed like a good solution plus they're local. They've been around for a while.
They called me, we set up a time and I met there. They had to come back one time to deal with a secondary issue though. But they were responsive and dealt with my issues in a professional manner. They also performed a free water test on the side, in front of me and it was interesting. The installer was good too. They dropped a rug in the front door, they wore their booties so they didn't mess up the rugs and they explained everything to me in pretty decent detail. They also worked around some interesting logistics problems that we had as far as locating the unit. Kinetico has provided me with good service and good product. I got their water softener and the filtration system for the drinking water. Overall, I'm happy and I've recommended it to a few people.
We've got hard water and we can see it on our appliances so we got the bigger Kinetico water softener. I heard about them form my neighbor and some other people and the 25% discount sealed the deal for us. Everyone that we dealt with was super nice and very pleasant. Any questions we had got answered and any concerns we had got addressed. The guys who did the installation were awesome. We had to dig a separate French drain and they did a great job. We are really happy with the system and I've noticed a difference in the water. I noticed that when I shower, I don't need to use as much soap. But the biggest one I noticed right away was on the glass door in the shower. They don't get all slimy like they did before. I would definitely recommend Kinetico.
Our water wasn't too good a quality and I wanted to have it checked. Kinetico has done business with Strandlund Refrigeration which they bought out in Mora, and so I knew about them and I called them. They came out and did the sales pitch and all the test. I liked what I heard so I ordered the water softener system, and they put in the equipment. It must have been a slow day with the installation team that time but they explained the system to me to as far as my brain could understand it. Kinetico made a tremendous difference in our water, and I would recommend them. At present, I'm dealing with them on a new heating system.
We do foster care for developmentally disabled adults so we have several homes. I liked the idea of the mechanical system as opposed to an electrical system so I wouldn't have to keep fixing it after the power goes out. I was looking for alternatives for the Culligan systems and I stumbled on to the Kinetico Systems. I have purchased three Kinetico water softeners, a furnace and an air conditioning system. I've had the systems for six years at least and I've got them in three different locations.
I was interested that the system was purely mechanical. It didn't have any electric device to go bad and have to be rescheduled when the power goes out so I was looking for minimum maintenance. I had some difficulties with one of the systems and Kinetico's people were responsive. They worked with me and came up with a solution that was acceptable. It took us a little while to get it to work the way that we really wanted it to but, the overall experience was very good and I'd recommend Kinetico. They stand behind their product.
Our washer was starting to get a ring on the inside of the rubber where the door was which was almost like sediment. Also, Florida water stinks at times because of all of the chemicals they put into it, so we tried to do our best to eliminate that. We did a little research and narrowed down to a few different companies. We made the decision to spend a little more money than we expected but so far, we've been pleased with the whole-house system from Kinetico.
The installers were fine and did exactly what was asked. They put it where we wanted it and hooked it up. They have a really nice guy who does customer care and sales. He's one of the main reasons why I continue to push people to Kinetico. He goes out of his way to make sure that people are happy with their product. He would come out and test the water once every six months or every quarter. He would call me to say that he'd be in my area and would ask me if I wanted my water checked. Now, the water doesn't feel like it has a bunch of chlorine. I have two kids and the water doesn't make our skin itch. It's also better to cook with. We already have two people with Kinetico and got two more people looking into it.
We have a rental property that has water issues, it had a smell to it even with a water softener. I had seen Kinetico on a billboard and I had seen some of their TV ads and I thought that’d be a good choice so I purchased a water filter from them. The installers were in and out of there within a few hours. The reps were excellent and they watched every detail during the installation. I'd recommend Kinetico. They provide a good product and our water filter is doing a good job, so far.
We purchased the Kinetico full house water softener four years ago as I thought it would be healthier. The water has been awesome ever since. They were also easy to deal with and things went smoothly. It was an easy experience, and that's what I like.
The water down here is terrible and I called in several companies to give me estimates. Kinetico didn't cost me any electric to run and they seemed to clean the water the best. Their prices were really good and they worked really well with me. I got a whole-house water softener from them. Their reps did wonderful from the moment they walked through my door. The salesman was incredible and the installers were fantastic. They went because I had a problem that turned out to have nothing to do with them. But they thought that it might be, so they came in and changed the entire system on their nickel. It had nothing to do with them but they did find the problem. Not only did they come and correct the problem free of charge for me, they were amazing.
I love the soft water and it's perfect. It's good for my skin, there's no smell and no taste. It's also really good for my pipes and for my appliances. I have recommended them to everybody I spoke to and I tell friends that there is no other company to use. My next-door neighbor has actually put it in their home because of my recommendation and they have also recommended their friends the same thing for the same reason, which they were also very happy.
I purchased the iron filter from Kinetico since our water had an odor. They have what I was looking for and setting an appointment with them was great and easy. They were right on time during the appointment and I liked working with them. They took care of my problem as there was no odor ever since putting the filter. I would tell other people to check out Kinetico as they had the answers for us.
I had extremely hard water and I'd get spots whenever I washed my car. Two years ago, I had a conventional water softening system from a different company that didn't work. They replaced it and it still didn't work so, I'd had it with those kinds of systems. I reached out to Kinetico Water Systems and they responded immediately to me. They explained all the benefits of their water system over other systems that were available. The rep I spoke with was very knowledgeable about water quality in general and the appointment set up was great. Also, the installers were excellent and the installation was done right. They didn't flood the house. They were also very thorough and explained all the things that were going to happen.
Now, I see a big difference in the water quality. I use the tap water all the time and I don't ever have to worry about it. The system only runs for 1/10 of the time when it regenerates. I also haven't used any salt compared to the single tank system that I had. However, it had a leak last week, but the service guy came out to fix it and it's now working. Although Kinetico's cost is much higher than others, it's worth it. I should have bought Kinetico 10 years ago. And if it lasts long as they said it would, I would be a really happy homeowner.
I've been using soft water as well as the drinking water system for many years in different houses. I had Kinetico in another country and when I moved to Orlando, I contacted them. The appointment set up was very straightforward. The sales rep came over, did the water test and set it all up for me. The house is already rough in with the central soft water requirement so, the installation was very straightforward. The installers showed up at the time that I specified. They installed the soft water system and the drinking water system. The water was pretty hard and with the soft water, it makes it a lot better when washing the clothes and taking a bath. My experience with Kinetico has been positive, even in the other country where I had them. I really recommend them.
I live a half mile from the water treatment plant that sends us two lines of water, one to the house and one to the sprinklers. There was a time when the sprinklers and the house water weren't any different. It smelled and tasted just the same. All our faucets were turning black as we had a lot of black molds starting to come in the showers. Moreover, on the Kinetico Water scale, we were an 18 out of 10 for hardness. It would have been better to shower with my outdoor water. My wife said she was disgusted with it. She had a Kinetico Water System in her last home before she moved here, and she told me a lot about it. Also, the reviews were good. There was an ad that came out and I answered the call.
A guy named Larry came out and took four hours to convince me to get our system. We bought a filter, a softener, and double tanks from Kinetico. The installation went great. They tried to find out where the water came in my house. We found a solo pipe that goes down three feet and snakes come out every once in a while. The guy who did the digging braved it and went in. He took out some sand and found that there was a water shut off there on that side of the house when all of the other utilities come in on the other side. He found it and installed on that side of the house. However, it's on the morning sunshine side of the house for about seven hours. The tanks are above ground so the sun heats up the water and I don't get cold water during the day until after hours. I also had some issues with getting my filters and salt.
Overall Kinetico has a great product. It's been fantastic and I brag about them to people. My two refrigerators, two ice makers and everything else cleared up. My dishwasher cleaned up from the inside and the showers are looking much better. The heads are great. We don't have to worry about running the water because there's no more chlorine smell. The ice and the coffee are great. The laundry no longer stinks. I'm very happy. We're selling the house, but we're taking this water system with us. I can do the plumbing and remove it from the ground in a matter of an hour.
I had been familiar with Kinetico Water Systems. I’ve had them in the past, probably 10 years ago in Tampa. And then, when we moved to Orlando, I went seeking them. The difference between the systems, what they would do, cost, differentials and maintenance were clearly explained. And it was easy to determine what was the best for our needs. They were really good about giving information and not trying to push one model over another but the best for the household. The gentleman we spoke to was working on a Saturday just to help out. He was magnificent in his knowledge and his personal approach. And he knew the systems inside and out. And it was a very positive experience.
The installation experience was actually very great. Because we live in a townhome and that was a particularly difficult small area to install the unit inside the garage. And the technician threaded a needle to make it work. He had a four-inch space to make sure the pipe came in from the outside and he got it. And it’s perfect and it’s been working for three years. You literally couldn’t really drink water unfiltered. So now, you can drink the water in any faucet in the house, it's delicious. And also, even bathing is pleasant with the amount of minerals in the water. Kinetico is one of the better systems out there. This one doesn’t run off of electricity. So, it’s virtually maintenance free for the homeowner and is incredibly easy to deal with and effective. I actually told multiple neighbors. And one of them had the system installed and said good things about this particular dealer.
I read in articles about the quality of our water and so I purchased the Softener and Reverse Osmosis Water Filter from Kinetico. They have a cute TV advertisement and that caught my eye. I also had seen Kinetico on Facebook and I asked friends for recommendations. Kinetico is a big name and one of my friends a long time ago said she loved her Kinetico. So, I decided to go with that. They did everything right and I don’t have any complaints about the company. They came back to make sure it was doing what it was supposed to do. Sometimes, when I have a question, I’ll go on Facebook to ask them and they’ve been very good about answering it. However, I dont see any differences with our water now but I feel confident that our water is healthier. I've been very happy with Kinetico. Great customer service is very important and they have it.
We live in Florida and the water down here is not good. We had a Sears system that came with our home when we bought it and it kept malfunctioning. We had shower doors that were so pitted with calcification and we tried everything but we couldn’t get it out. So we got new shower doors and as soon as we got them in, they started to get that white film on them again. After looking at the videos online and researching Kinetico, they seemed to be the best in the business. They're the Mercedes of water systems. I spoke to their manager Seth and he’s phenomenal. The team all the way through was professional and they did what they said they would.
In about two weeks, we installed the Kinetico system as well as a reverse osmosis and it's incredible. We don’t even have to squeegee the doors every time we shower. There’s nothing on it. It’s unbelievable. Things taste different too. I’d recommend the reverse osmosis to anyone. My sister and brother-in-law are moving down from Chicago to Florida and they’re building a house in June. I've recommended to them the system and they’re going to put in our exact system as well as reverse osmosis.
I began researching about water filtration systems because of my lack of confidence in the local utilities to provide high-quality water. So when I found out about Kinetico from a print ad, I decided to purchase them because the tanks clean themselves with clean water and there was no electricity hook up. I got the one with the under-the-sink with the five cartridges and a two-tank water softener and filter.
Setting up an appointment is not a problem. After all, the person I spoke with was friendly. When the installation team came, they did everything. They were there for however long they said they were going to be there. It was good. While our water quality has been much better, an improvement would be making the connection from the salt tank to the water tank a little more robust, so that they wouldn't have a tendency to leak. It's because of the plastic connections.
What happens is that you get a lot of drastic temperature changes. And that tends to loosen those connections because they get warm and shrink and expand, and get colder and contract. And so, that creates the ability for that thing to loosen its screw. While it isn't going to happen all the time, since I'm not going to get drastic temperature changes in the garage, it would still be an improvement in the product. Overall, if a friend is going to get a water softener, I'd tell them to get Kinetico.
We had well water and we always had the softener. But well water kills faucets because the content gives the build up so I’m replacing everything all the time and it was really annoying. When the house was built, it was built with a big tank of water and a softener, but the thing kept breaking and all the stuff were always being replaced. I was tired of the big tank of water outside and I had to put chlorine in so Kinetico eliminated that and switched it out that I deal with the salt. I got from them the reverse osmosis water under the sink and the salt system outside. During the installation, the installer was great and awesome.
We went through a lot of salt to run with well water and I just keep the salt going so it was a lot less work d no hassle. It was better, easier and less maintenance than that of the big old tank of water. Also with Kinetico, I noticed I don’t have to replace everything as much. It was good and if I ever get another house in the future, I would definitely do the whole house water. And if I decided to stay here, I will upgrade one day. They can hook up to city water too and it can still get stuff going on. I have recommended Kinetico and would definitely recommend it.
I bought the home water softener from Kinetico Water Systems. My water was really terrible, it made a stain in my tub, toilet, and everything. My bathroom is like an old gas station bathroom. The water here is full of tannins, rust and natural stuff. It's what makes your teeth brown. So I did a little research. I looked online for different filters and the reason I liked Kinetico so much was because it didn't require electricity. The power here goes out quite a bit for no apparent reason. Every time the power would go out, the system that I had already installed in the house would need to be reset for my water. It was technical and we really got tired of doing it. So Kinetico is great, and then there were a lot of other benefits to it also. It was awesome.
Todd the salesman came in here like he was a family friend, explained everything, and did the test in my kitchen. He gave more information than I found online, and I couldn't wait to buy it. He told us about everything we needed, he told us about financing and installation. Their installer was really good. He obviously knew what he was doing, and it didn't take him all that long. He checked and double checked it, and said, "If you have any trouble, we'll come out and look at it."
I liked Kinetico so much that I told my neighbors about it, and two of my neighbors bought the same system, because I raised so much about how awesome they were. I have to tell this to my neighbor who has a long hair and was using bottled water to wash her hair. More people should know more about Kinetico, because you need a softener here in Florida. It's just the way it is.
My wife was diagnosed with cancer and we needed to clean up our water system better. I had Culligan and their customer service sucks. I then talked to a friend who had one of Kinetico's systems and liked it so I said I would talk to them and see what would happen. I liked the product line and the salespeople of Kinetico. They're great people to deal with. The sales rep came in and asked me what we needed and what we were looking for. He showed us the product lineup and we discussed what we thought we'd need. We decided on what we were going to put in and got the top of the line with the reverse osmosis system.
The installation was perfect and seamless. They were here on time and showed me everything I needed to know after everything was installed like changing filters. We’ve had the Kinetico system for over two years now and we haven’t had any upset stomachs. There was no bad taste in water as well and none of that real hard water that we get sometimes.
We've always had water filters. We had one in Michigan and when we moved down here three years ago. Setting an appointment with the Kinetico rep went smoothly. Everybody was professional and the service was great. I’ve been very happy with them. I even recommended them to the community and everybody that took the recommendation seems to be happy as well.
My daughter used Kinetico and I got it because of her. I purchased a $6,000 product four years ago and then, a year later, I had to pay $1,000 and another $1,000 a couple of years later to get it all cleaned out and rebedded. I wasn't informed of all these when I bought the system and was only notified when I needed to rebed they system. They have to be clear of things like these when they sell things to people. Also, I had a little problem after they did the rebedding. My water started smelling like sulfur water which must've leaked into the water tank so they had to send somebody out to drain and reflush it. After that, it was okay. Our water is much softer and doesn't smell since then. I had a fine experience with them and I would recommend them to a friend.
The water was a bit higher than it had been where we live. We tried those little ones where we keep changing the filters but it became expensive, and they weren't working that well. So, we explored whole-house conditioners, and we decided to try Kinetico. It has worked out very well and we've been very satisfied with it. Our customer service experience with them has been good. The appointment with the sales rep went well. He came out and explained it all. We went over all the details and went ahead with it.
The installer fellow was good. After he installed the system, he made it a point to call us to follow up and make sure that we had no problems. While we were on vacation up north, he called a couple of times to make sure everything was all right, which I appreciate. With their system, the water is soft, laundry, washing self, everything is much better, as long as I keep the system going. I told my friends that it's a good system and we're very pleased with it. If they need one, we would recommend it.
I purchased a whole house water conditioner softener from Kinetico. We already had a water softener but we needed to replace it. I've been using Kinetico at another factory and in a residence that we have in Pennsylvania. Kinetico has a better design and longevity record from my other past experiences. They've serviced it a couple of times and have been checking on it. They're doing very well. Everything was perfect and the interaction with their reps was very good and so was their service. The old system was wearing down and had some problems with it. The water changed too and we needed a better filtration system and conditioning on it, which Kinetico provided for us. There has been a very big improvement after their service. If people want to eliminate the problems with their water, Kinetico is the one to go with.
The well water where I live was horrible so I got the whole house reverse osmosis from Kinetico, everyone knows about them. I spoke with reps who were very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk to. There wasn't a question I asked that they didn't have an answer for. And the installers were incredible as well. After they put the water system in, pure water was in every part of my house and it was like drinking water out of any faucet. The difference was like night and say. The water didn't smell. I sold the house and I moved into a condo and I can't stand the chlorine in the water. I'm saving up for the Kinetico system for my condo.
Kinetico's system works great and I’m pleased with it. It does its job. We bought the whole house water softener. It is the one that I can take with me when I leave my home. We just called them, they made the appointment and the gentleman showed up. The guy who pitched it set it up. It was so simple. You put the box in, put the tanks in and that’s the end of it. I can feel the difference since we had the water softener. It's like trying to rinse my body from a shower. I feel like I still have soap or lotion on my body. And Kinetico just makes me feel clean. If you hand wash your dishes, your soap sides last longer. You notice it in your washing machine as well. Everything you do, you notice a difference. You need to use less soap. Anybody who has hard water ought to get a water softener.
I have very hard well water and was unable to prevent rust in the toilet tanks. The old softener about one a month produced harder water that smelled. Always felt not great after shower. Kinetico is amazing. Hair is soft after shower, rust is gone from toilet tanks. One of best investments ever. Big mistake if you buy anything else. My wife loves the feel of her hair after a shower-nice and fluffy. Amazing soft water even with hard well water.
The office staff was very friendly and professional. I was directed to the Water Specialist (Jim **) who was very responsive and informational. He came to my home and gave me a price for the new filtration system. They returned a few days later and installed it. This system is amazing and will never go back to not having one. Such a wonderful experience all around. I highly recommend this Company to all of my friends and family in the area.
BUYER BEWARE. This is the biggest rip off I have EVER experienced. They will come and tell you your old system is terrible and not doing the job and upsell you to $6,000 of Non-Working equipment. Our softener was installed on 6/28, by 7/12 our water was brown and smelly so we called for them to come out and fix it. The technician said the installer set the recycle times too far apart... it worked for approx 2-3 weeks and then not cycling again. Called our salesman out of town and no return call. Has not cycled in over 1 month. I call them to come and remove it, was told there was a 1 year warranty, guy on the phone says it is only 60 days. With this being said I just spent $6,000 on a product that has NEVER and I repeat Never worked but they will do nothing about it.
We have a high manganese content in our water. The Kinetico dealer said his system would filter it. I had problems with the back wash system not turning off and switched the tank on and off. He said this had fixed it although I have never been sure. I had the water tested and it was still high in manganese. He said the well pressure tank needed more air to make filtering effective. (This pressure tank is not part of the Kinetico system.) The manganese now tests below the toxic level but still not the zero the dealer promised. He turned up the valve on the air pressure tank and it is now running every time I turn on the water. When I contacted Kinetico customer service they merely referred it back to the dealer and indicated they don't deal with problems.
I was quoted $5 plus change for a replacement filter and when my husband picked three up, he was charged $45 for three. I have tried to rectify this over the past month, and STILL I have not received the difference back. One of their employees NEVER returned my calls after she said she would get back to me. She did this 4 separate times. I learned, after the 3rd call, to call her back because her word was no good. Online, they quote $4.78 per filter. So WHY was my husband charged $45 for three??? Worst company I have dealt with in 25 years! NEVER AGAIN will I give them 1 cent! I will be reporting them to BBB too.
Avoid Kinetico water filters. Our Kinetico K5 system broke while in use, and caused significant water damage. Kinetico REFUSED to pay for the damage. Our system was installed a couple of years ago by one of their dealers. Kinetico is blaming us so that they don't have to pay a dime. Their unit failed, it cracked. Kinetico also refused to put their "engineer's decision" in writing. We cannot trust Kinetico in our house. THIS WAS A WASTE OF MONEY AND HAS COST US THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO CLEAN UP THE MESS. PLUS OUR TIME!!! We will use MultiPure system in the future. MultiPure is also NSF certified. It is made of stainless steel, NOT cheap plastic that cracks like Kinetico -- which is NOT NSF certified.
Kinetico softener at my home has their info on it. Because I am second owner of home/system, I am not in their database as paying customer. They admit my product has valid Kinetico S/N, but I cannot show receipt from purchase. So, they will not sell replacement drain line for product - even though I want to pay for product. Simply won't help out current owners of these very high dollar systems. And odd-ball size drain line cannot be purchased at big box stores or plumbing supply stores - proprietary drain line. Avoid Kinetico.
Installing dealer went out of business. Closets dealer wants to charge nearly $1,000 per trip to look at. Corporate has a marketing scheme to keep competition non-existent. No support as to operation, warranty, replacement or service items, unless performed by a "Dealer". This appears to be a multi-level marketing scheme where the most dollars are extracted from as many duped owners as possible. Excessively proprietary design, dealer protection, and customer unfriendly. This is a successful corporate culture and business model at the expense of the buyer. Worse than Culligan!
The system itself has worked great BUT Pat (our salesman) said he would be in touch a couple weeks after the sale. He also gives a big speech when he initially comes to your home about being a family run business and how his dad started it and that the customer service is awesome, blah blah blah.. After we got it, we never heard from him again. We bought a new house and had it moved and it cost 105 an hour plus some fee tacked on to that! Was around 600+ $$$, just to move and install at our new home. Crazy!! Pat is also a bit patronizing & I always feel like he talks to me like I'm an idiot. I'd shop around as our whole house system cost 5k and I'm not sure that you can't better deal somewhere else..
I was a 17 year customer and they stole $15k from me 2 years ago when I upgraded to their whole home RO system which killed my water pressure to where a shower wouldn't run if a toilet flushed. They told me there was nothing they could do about it, charged me another $1k to take it away, and they kept it with no refund. Who has $15k to throw away?! They were mostly worried about paying someone 4 hours to take it out and tried to sell me another system. Water pressure is perfect with it gone. This is how they take care of their long term customers?! RUN FAR AWAY!!!
The system was install by Jason ** who was efficient and explained the entire process before and after. He was clean and very professional. We have only positive results with this system. It made a huge difference in our water and could not be more pleased! Jennifer, who sold us the Kinetico system followed up with us and came back to check the water. She and Jason are exceptional customer service employees. They should receive 5 gold stars!
I am really surprised by the bad reviews I ran across about the Kinetico. We have lived in three different homes, and have always had a whole house softener and a reverse osmosis installed by Kinetico. Currently we live in Ocala and are on a private well. We have a 2060 installed for the color and spotting we noticed in the toilets when we moved in and we also have a K5 reverse osmosis for our drinking water.
Honestly, we couldn't live without it. Besides the great service we have always had with Kinetico, the systems are wonderfully simple. We add salt about 6-7 months and since it was installed we have had 1 filter change on the reverse osmosis. In over 25 years, we have never had any major issues with our Kinetico units. Would never recommend anything else to our friends. You can't beat the Kinetico.
My Kinetico was poorly installed. The pipes leak water in my garage and they want $75 just to walk in the door and then pay them more to fix it. It is only 3 years old. This is an expensive unit, $2900 to have leaky pipes.
I had just moved into my new home. Leaving behind my Culligan softener and Osmosis system which I was very happy with product and service. I chose to spend less on a new system by going with Kinetico. I was concerned if by doing so, I would get less of product warranty and customer service. My concerns were correct! Since my Kinetico install 5 months ago, I have not had any follow up visits as promised. I'm not sure if my system is working as it should. I was sold a product then forgotten.
We bought this water softener a couple years ago. We have had difficulty and issues from day one. The water softener has never worked correctly and we have attempted numerous times to get in touch with someone to help us get it repaired. We have tried calling and emailing Kinetico. We will leave a message but NEVER a return call in 3 years, and no return email. Now to add insult to injury when the softener recharges somehow the water is incredibly salty. The price of these softeners are such that we expected stellar service and reliability but we have been sorely disappointed. When the softener works it is good, but the service after the sale is non-existent. Buyer Beware!!!
After 5 years of smelly water and corrosion on house faucets and appliances I decided to call Kinetico Water Systems... The territory manager Rick ** came to my home. He took several samples of water and explained the results of each one... He explained how the Kinetico System would cure this problem along with its function and complete rundown on how the system works... I found Mr. ** to be knowledgeable and patient as he answered my many questions that day. The installation crew was punctual and work was completed in a timely manner. They were polite and did an excellent job. Mr. ** then returned to our home and gave us a complete and thorough lesson on how to operate and maintain the water system. I would highly recommend these people and the Kinetico Water System.
After reading the reviews I should have paid more attention to the ones that stated there was no service after the sale. The area representative stated he would check the performance of my system in a week or so to see how the system was performing. Over a month later and after two phone messages to the rep, I have not heard from him. The Kinetico rep was glad to take the money and then just disappeared.
For a $4,400.00 water treating system I still have no idea how well it is working. I would not recommend Kinetico as there are no instructions for the system, no operational guidelines and no service after the sale. Don't buy Kinetico, there are many other reputable water treatment companies.
They are very helpful with all my silly nonsense questions and the product is fantastic. Very simple to use. I am so glad I invested in this product. Very simple for such a wonderful product. Step by step. Easy to read instructions Manual and the taste is to die for. Not sure how I'd live without this product. Simply change the filter with the filter that came with the product and then when I run out of those they're very inexpensive to get replacement filters. Value is great in my eyes. This product is priceless. Me and all my family love and own this product. I'm always telling people to purchase this if they haven't.
They were kind, knowledgeable, considerate, caring, easy to work with, and very quick to be helpful. They were prompt to help me or address my concerns and also their tech was very considerate and respectful. They did a very good job. Their technician was a fast worker and knew exactly what he was doing. It's pretty self-explanatory and user-friendly. The technician was helpful in his instructions and from there it was pretty easy to run and care for. Almost perfectly self-maintained. Totally recommend this, especially for the price cuz water gallons in the store might only be around a buck, but they add up really quickly, so the value for the money is completely with it.
Their customer support is great! They are there willing to help you with any problem or concern that you have, and are super kind when you're being difficult. It is no different than any other water cleaner. It is just as easy to install and will get working as soon as you are done installing it. It is easy to maintain and follow the maintenance guides. It is super easy to clean and fix when having trouble with it. I love this machine! It is super inexpensive, and it works great! Does everything I need it to do. It cleans and is extremely easy to maintain. I'm sure other cleaners like this one are a lot more expensive.
Answered questions quickly. Treated me like I was important. Wasn't transferred all over. Customer service representative was knowledgeable, curious, respectful polite & very helpful. Easily installed. Installer knew about product & took time to explain exactly what he was doing. After installation complete took time to demonstrate & answer questions. Inquired what if anything was wrong. Made sure all my issues, if I had any, were addressed. Double checked everything. I researched all products available and found this to be the best value for the money. With the great customer service, knowledgeable installers, overall cost it just made sense.
Very helpful and understanding. Knew what I wanted help with and courteous to boot. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. They had the ability to solve my problem fast. Though I've only used them once for a simple task. We had a very small crew come in and started putting together the pipes and giant liquid container machine. They worked fast and with precision while I was watching making sure it was done correctly. Good crew and good to talk to. Got the job done early in the evening with little to no problems.
As far as maintenance goes, we only had it checked after a couple of days with the tech guy to make sure it is still in good and tip-top shape after the installation. Other than that we are still breaking in the new purifier. I thought what I paid for was, at first, a little pricey, but after talking to the guys and some friends, they reassured my purchase for me. I don't regret it now and I think the value for the machine is worth it.
They were better than some, but less helpful than others. I believe there is better water suppliers out there. But all in all it was a decent experience. It was tedious, but better than some as far as installations go. Once again there are easier options to go with. So in the end I chose a different system. It was a bit of a hassle, but that may just be par for the course when it comes to this type of thing. But it wasn't terrible to maintain. I'm a water snob so it takes a lot to please me. I prefer to have water that is completely taste free. It's alright for the price though.
I've decided to use this system because I needed a way to conserve water and I knew that this was the best way to do it. I really want to do as much as possible to help this country which is why I did this. I wanted better water for me and my family so I went with this system. The installation process was a little expensive but it was easy. It was easy to schedule it and it was a breeze for the people that installed it.
The maintenance isn't really as bad as I thought it would be. Its maintenance needs a lot of attention but you are saving money in the process. Its value is great! It was a little expensive to get but when I think about how much money I am saving per year with this water system, I smile. When you buy water from the store, the more you buy water, the more you spend so it's easier to just run water, clean it and drink. Save money!
The customer support is great. They are very friendly and are willing to help. You can't compare their service to other. They are the best in what they do. The installation process is quick and easy. It is the best setup you can ever have. I highly recommend. The installation step it is easy to work with and install. The product maintenance is a little difficult but it is not the hardest thing to do. it is costly to do but it is well worth it. Do not compare to others maintenance. The perceived value is great. You will get your money's worth. No pain no gain. You have to give a little to gain a little. It is okay to do so believe in them.
The customer support is extremely helpful in answering any questions I may have. They will also work with me if I so happen to be late on a payment. They always make sure that I am satisfied. Installation was very quick, did not take long at all. The hours that they came to install were very reasonable and they did not take their time (taking breaks). The maintenance is very easy to take care of myself but if I do so happen to have a problem with my system they will send a guy right away over to me. The value for this service is very affordable and well within my budget. The price for this service is outstanding to the quality product that I received.
Customer service was very helpful and pretty friendly. They seemed knowledgeable about the services offered and made sure to offer any current deals and discounts. The installation went smoothly. It was quicker than I expected and the service men were kind, helpful and polite. Also knowledgeable and very efficient in doing their job. The system is easy to keep up with and since mine is rather new I haven't had any severe maintenance issues. The upkeep in general is pretty simple and easy. I paid a little more than I had intended but overall, it's worth it. The system works great and requires simple upkeep. Customer service is awesome so it's a great value and worth the money spent.
We had a Kinetico water system installed in our home last June of 2015, when it was installed it was not done properly and there was a leak that ran water down my walls and in the ceiling. I contacted the office as soon as I saw the water mark on my ceiling. This was on a Saturday, they sent someone out the next Thursday to fix the problem, but no one repaired the damage at my home. I called the office the next Monday and asked about repairing the damage that was done to my home due to the leak that was caused because of the poor installation.
Well the secretary told me I would need to talk to the manager, but he was out, so I called back the next day but he was out so I called the next week but he was still out. I then got busy with my life and did not get a chance to call again until October and guess what he was not available. I finally called this July, 2016, and asked a question and then I asked about getting the damage to my house repaired. I was able to speak to the manager and he assured me someone would contact me within the week. Well it is August 9, and no one has contacted me yet. I will be seeking legal action.
Really didn't need customer support and it was easy to use but if I did need customer support I bet they would solve my problems in minutes. Take your water faucet and apply the product then let the water run for a while so it can get set up and then you can use to your liking. It does need some maintenance but not as much as you would think. All you have to do is get a new filter and replace them every three to four months. It was very well priced and is much cheaper than an average Brita filter and even easier to install which make a lot more valuable. Filters are very cheap too making the product even cheaper.
The support is top notch. I have never had a complaint on how they have help me when I need them. The very few time that I do they are top and show it. It installed very fast. It did not take a lot of work and I did not sit there all day wondering "What do I do?" It was a fast simple process I'm very happy with. There is no maintenance really except the regular cleaning. It is a great system. I have not had any problems and I would recommend it over and over. I love it. The price was great. I did not feel like I was getting overcharged for something that is really needed. A lot say it not but in today's world I say it a priority.
I purchased a Kinetico 2060S OD and K5 reverse osmosis system in 2013. When I purchased the unit for about $5,000.00 the salesman told me ALL the positives about a Kinetico system. He tested my well water and told me my well water was very high in iron content. If you are considering a Kinetico system, their website and salespeople will tell you ALL the positives about owning such. Allow me to fill you in on what they do not tell you. They lie via known omissions.
1) Whatever Kinetico dealer you buy the unit from, is the sole Kinetico dealer you can buy anything Kinetico from. This means you are at the mercy of your Kinetico dealer to respond to you. I am here to tell you my dealer is akin to a drug dealer. If there is money to be made, he responds immediately. If not, he takes his sweet time.
2) Kinetico has proprietary filters, so you MUST buy your filters from YOUR Kinetico dealer. WATCH OUT! My dealer was selling me a filter for $30.00 which HE installed when he put my system in, it is a sediment filter that is GENERIC. I bought the filter from him for 2 years and the second time I purchased it, he made the mistake of leaving the filter vendor, model # etc. inside the filter wrapper. I researched the filter and found it online for a cost of $4.00.
3) I had a problem with my water softener and contacted my dealer via e-mail. It was the same e-mail account he had responded to me a month previous within hours of inquiring whether he had the filters I needed in stock. He stated he did and was kind enough to put them aside for me. $140.00 later I picked up my filters and replaced them myself.
4) Kinetico establishes "local monopolies" and they will never tell the consumer this. You WILL deal with YOUR dealer if you want anything. Do you like being on bended knee to anybody after you spend 5K and are told about their 10 year warranty? If not, do not buy a Kinetico anything. They will get to you when they feel like it.
5) When my concern was finally "addressed" it consisted a telephone call in which the dealer told my answering machine, "I think your unit is working fine." Hewent into how long the brine wash and brine rinse cycle should take. Question: How does anybody diagnose anything mechanical unless they have telemetry telling them a problem exists OR LOOK AT IT. My dealer evidently has the power to determine such matters without even speaking to me.
6) I asked how much a "service call" would be, because I understand mechanical things have mechanical problems. That question was NEVER answered. I ask myself why that question was never answered. Well, my dealer is in Placerville, Ca. and I am in Sutter Creek, Ca. It is about 40 or so miles one way. Obviously, he has made his money, so he does not want to drive to do a "service call."
7) Perhaps you are thinking... "Well just call somebody else." You can call somebody else. They will tell you that your dealer has "exclusive" territory and they will not infringe upon that territory. So, ask yourself if you want a system with a 10 year warranty, that is as useless as the paper it is written upon. Ask yourself if this an ethical company. Ask yourself if you want to purchase a 5K headache, because what you are not told WILL come back to haunt you. Ask yourself if you want to pay $30.00 for a 4.00 filter. Ask yourself if you want to have a Headmaster who responds to you when he feels like doing so. Hopefully this helps you make an informed decision. I think it qualifies as a scam.
I purchased the top of the line Kinetico whole house water softener system in June of 2000. The unit seemed to run fine with regular service I've the last 15 years. Yesterday I came home to 2 inches of water across my entire 2,100 sq. ft. basement. The seam on one of the 4 tanks ruptured... It split open for no reason. The water line has a water reducer valve that brings the pressure to 48 psi – a way reasonable pressure for a house. Sorry but this system has a significant design flaw... unless you want gallons of uncontrollable water all over your space. DON'T BUY THIS STYLE KINETICO UNIT!
I have used this system for almost 20 years and I find myself in the midst of a conflict that I have nothing to do with. I have used Kelvin ** from Tuttle, OK for installation and service. Until 3 months ago I needed some service on my system because a plumber messed things up. After numerous calls to Kelvin without any response, I go to the Kinetico website and found another company in Edmond that services this system. I speak to the owner and they inform me they cannot service my system because corporate office says that I have to stay in my territory?!? The Edmond company was told to let the installer take care of me.
I finally get through to Mr. ** and he tells me that he cannot work on my system any longer due to the fact that Kinetico has relieved him of selling their product. I call Edmond company back and they are being told by corporate that they are not to go out of their territory!!! I have an expensive system that is in much need of service and many problems are occurring due to the lack of service. What can I do??? I need help???
The Reverse Osmosis unit was leaking again. Repairman came out, talked us into buying a $1,700 machine, he repaired nothing. Later, I called to cancel because I have a terminal disease and we cannot afford it. They then billed me. I sent a letter, explaining our situation. We never heard back from them. I sent payment, with another letter saying I was very disappointed that they did not respond. I have lost my voice, and could not call them.
