Kenmore refrigerator is a good brand with an excellent and reliable reputation. It is also energy efficient and has fair pricing. Additionally, it has adjustable shelving, water dispenser, and ice cube maker. The black style finish makes a nice appearance. However, it should replace plastic drawers with glass, more usable space in the freezer, and better finish on refrigerator since it's hard to clean in certain areas.

They guy at the store recommended Kenmore Refrigerators. I liked it and it was the right size. It was in my budget and I’m very pleased with it. It was in stock and they were able to bring and put it in right away. It has worked great. It keeps food just the right temp and food always stays fresh. Shelves are sized nicely and it is not noisy which I like. But why do all appliances look the same? I like something different and I wish they came in different colors, like red. And I wish the ice cubes were a different shape. The freezer seems small to me and should be bigger as well.

I owned a Kenmore previously and I know that Kenmore makes good quality products. I owned this Kenmore refrigerator for 3 years and I absolutely love it, the look of it and how spacious it was. Lots of room but lighting in the interior could have been a little better but it was just fine. The freezer was great also.

It's quiet and spacious. And it fits well in kitchen and fit my taste at the time of purchase, though trends have changed. Complements the other appliances. However, I would like it if it was easier to pull out to clean back and an easier to clean grille. It would also be nice if it came in colors like the Whirlpool copper - the Sunset bronze.

It had the best price compared to all of the other fridges and I liked how it looks and the brand itself. It’s a really cute and sexy fridge to own and it works pretty well for my own needs. I also like how spacious it is. It has lots of room for all of your fruits and vegetables and other various foods. This fridge is good and very cold too. However, I wish it was quieter because sometimes it wakes me up at night and can be a bit annoying. It needs to include some sound baffling as well.

The Kenmore refrigerator has a pull out freezer door. It has a lot of space and is easy to clean. There has been a couple quirks but nothing major and the warranty covers most of it. However, I would improve the placement of the freezing element. It ices up sometimes and has to be unthawed. I also wish the workers would explain the problems a little more and the solutions. They could be a little bit more timely also. But that is expected with anything and any situation. I have always used Kenmore products and wouldn't get another brand. Kenmore has met my expectations. The Kenmore Refrigerator is nice, plenty of room fruit drawer and has ice maker. It is very reliable and it works great. I wish it had an ice maker in front, more freezer and was side by side. But other than that, I have always liked the brand and it has been a great product with anything in its brand. I am happy and have been satisfied with it completely. Definitely can recommend to someone who is looking for a new one.

My parents always bought Kenmore products as long as I can remember and I have always used Sears products as they are reliable. My Kenmore refrigerator Is the high point of my kitchen. I like the convenient shelf placement and the placement of the doors is good for many things. Having a place for everything I put in it is great. But it has never enough room for me since I always make dishes large enough to feed an army and I keep a lot of leftovers. But the temperature is consistent and I never have any spoiled food.

Kenmore has always been a quality product. It's durable, it's not super expensive and I have history with the product. I like the way Kenmore side by side looks and the stainless exterior has always been a plus. Stainless steel and side by side foot print worked perfectly for the space I had in kitchen. Also, the stainless steel exterior is easy to clean. I also like the front where you can get water and ice. However, the interior could be changed around. The shelves could be moved around so that milk could fit better and also make a spot for 2 liter sodas. I also wish the ice maker held more ice.

Kenmore lives up to my expectations. When I buy a Kenmore appliance, I know that I got a great deal. The name brand brings me a feeling of security, knowing that my food is fresh, and I can organize it neatly. Also, my Kenmore refrigerator had tons of shelves and room to organize fruits and vegetables. I can put my sodas on the top shelf. I can wipe the shelves out with Windex. But I would make the drawers easier to move and clean, and put back. Sometimes the glass drawers break and you cannot get them to go back in. Then you are stuck with a big empty refrigerator.

Kenmore has been the only brand I have used on any major appliance and it has always proved to be reliable, dependable and worth every penny I spend on the purchase. However the plastic drawers do not seem to stay on track real good when loaded. There needs to be some way to make them more sturdy to where they fit on the tracks and stay on them better. Kenmore has a good reputation as quality purchase. It never let me down before. Every time we have needed a new appliance the first thing my husband does is go to Sears and looks at Kenmore. I was replacing old appliances as they broke trying to get all white and the fridge was the first one I was able to do that. I like the filtered ice and water dispenser, side by side doors, moveable shelves, electric controls. It always kept food cold or frozen. The freezer had lots of shelves that were adjustable but I wish it could have been wider. I would have gotten a bigger one if had room for it.

It looks more modern. It's in the color that I wanted. I wished it would've came in black or stainless steel but white is good for me. However, I would make the freezer part a little bigger. There is not much room to make ice. I feel like it may leak a little as well. I hope it works for the next 10 years because the fridge was expensive.

It performs well, needs very little maintenance and is easy to clean. But if there is anything I would complain about it's the ice maker. It leaks water in to the bottom of the freezer and I have to keep ice chipped out of the bottom of the freezer but other than that it's a great refrigerator.

I have always trusted Kenmore appliances to deliver value, performance and reliability. The fact that they are readily available in most areas in America matters since I move a lot. It's nice to know a dealer is nearby for necessary repairs, or more likely, to buy a newer version. There were many models to choose from so I could get the one that fit my apartment situation perfectly. I had a basic model and it was a size good there but also transitioned to my first house with no problem. It was very easy to clean, and keep clean. However it's always a battle to chose between amount of features versus price. And more variety in shelving arrangements would have been nice. Gallon milk jugs and 2 liter soda bottles are a challenge in smaller fridges.

There should be some kind of wheels or something to assist in this.

When I bought my condo the refrigerator was already there. The white freezer on top kept the ice cubes and kept ice cream cold. Produce remained crisp and meat was good temperature. It also blended in the kitchen quite well. However, it should have a finish so fingermarks don't show, have designer colors, and have more shelves in the freezer department. It also should be easy to pull out so can clean behind it. It needs lights in the freezer compartment too.

But the engine is so loud, I heard it through the walls and sometimes I could hear it while I'm asleep in my room. It helps with easy tasks and it's very easy to clean which is the most amazing thing that I likes from it. But a thing I would change would probably be a bigger freezer perhaps.

I liked that I could recognize the name. I really liked the refrigerator for many reasons. It was Easy to use and organize. It looks modern and yet classic. However, I wish the material was made of a harder material that could withhold young kids using it. There are cracks in some of the drawers. The fridge could have Deeper door spaces for the fridge doors too. I would like ways to customize it as well. In addition, I wish it came in other colors. The Kenmore refrigerator worked well, it needed no major repairs, had adjustable temp. control for the refrigerator compartment, easy to clean. I had it for a long time. The price fit my budget and I knew the brand. It did meet my expectations for size, ease of use, reliability, except for the freezer compartment. Freezer could have been colder and if I had to buy another refrigerator, I'd pay more to get one that had a specific control for the temperature of the freezer compartment. Also, I didn't like the egg tray because it was not removable which made that the one part harder to clean.

I like the Kenmore brand and have other appliances so all of them match. The fridge's stainless steel makes it look sleek and clean. It goes well with all my other appliances. It's quiet and my children are able to open it with ease and that's a big help. Also, it was a really good deal and I have a card to Best Buy so that helped with making smaller payments instead of one big payment at once. However I don't like that It's not magnetic and I can't put up pics or things my kids made up on the fridge. It's also very annoying to clean and fingerprints get all over. You can wipe it down as much as you want but the lines are going to show and next time someone opens the fridge the prints are there.

However, the water dispenser kept breaking and had to be fixed. I also thought that the freezer space was weird and not big enough that many foods did not fit well. It was a great price, and free delivery and removal of the old one.

We always wanted a stainless steel refrigerator that was spacious on the inside. We had a Sears account already and the Kenmore refrigerator has been very reliable since we purchased it. The Kenmore is a nice looking refrigerator with water and ice dispenser and I really like the double doors, and having a freezer on bottom. It also has plenty of room. But I discovered that the interior lights do not go off when the door is closed. I read later that they had an issue with that, but we did not get it resolved.

I have always purchased Kenmore products. The refrigerators seem to last just about 10 years. This current one replaced a brand new one that died within a week. While Sears tried to fix it I lost over $300 worth of food. If it weren't for the fact that I had an old 40 year old Kenmore in the garage the spoilage would have been worse. I had to call Sears Headquarters in Chicago to get them to replace the non-working refrigerator with a new one and pay for the spoilage. The local stores tried to fix it, but each time it only ran for a couple of days.

Love my Kenmore Elite and in this case the cost was right and the size was great for our family. Occasionally, if we don’t use enough ice the ice machine part gets bogged down but it’s easy to open the ice maker door and clear it out. Also, the paddle occasionally gets stuck and we'll get water all over the floor. Now that we know we take special care.

Kenmore has been a long-standing reputable company for years. I have never had any issues and their customer service representatives have always been helpful. The refrigerator has plenty of room. Our fridge is constantly being opened and is always running. The ice maker is constantly being put to work! However, I would love it if the parts on the drawers were made of a better material. The cheese drawer or small drawer is constantly getting shoved and comes off the sliding rail and has cracked in several spots.

This refrigerator is extremely durable and everlasting. Very energy efficient, cost saving, strong and even attractive looking appliance, I would definitely recommend this fridge to anyone. However, I probably would change the exterior and make it more chip resistant so that rowdy kids don't ruin the paint coating on it. The retailer had it highlighted and featured more than the others and it also offered a great financing option for it and with previous experience with the brand, I felt good about the decision.

This Kenmore fridge ended up fitting just right to my apartment which fights for space. I was recommended to it by my parents who had a good experience. The shelves on the door had great storage options for smalls jars that could not fit anywhere else and the size of the drawers and shelf height were good as well. However, the width of the fridge was awkward, but I'm sure there are many odd-sized spaces in different homes. And I didn't like the design of the outside of the fridge. It was ugly and didn't have good color options. Nonetheless, I would buy again.

I like the factoring now and the metal design of the Kenmore Refrigerator. Also, the handle is very sheik and the fact that it gives you your own ice and it doesn't have to wait. However, I don't like the design because it's confusing at first. The temperature changes and I don't like that. I think it was a lot to handle because if its manufacturing and the annoyance. This wouldn't be a problem but the back shouldn't be much colder. Nevertheless, I like the brand reputation. Honestly, I feel that's all that matters because without it there's nothing.

The reason I choose Kenmore is first and foremost is their reputation and its storage zones. The Kenmore brand is a well respected brand and is well sold all over the world. Kenmore refrigerator uses new technology at the time for zone temperature control which is very helpful especially for fruit and vegetables. Kenmore exceeds my expectations on reliability, safety, control, smart design and engineering. Kenmore has very few design imperfections that I dislike with a couple of items. The first is the unit footprint limitations especially for an apartment size space. As usual I would prefer something that holds all my standard groceries and items I need temperature controlled that may spoil. The second item is compartment sizes efficient to hold my vegetables especially when cooking and having to pile them on a shelf.

The Kenmore refrigerator was really cold, kept fruits and vegetables fresh and freezer was incredible. But it would be cool to have a feature like a wifi speaker so you can listen to music while cleaning without having to carry your phone with you, a digital picture frame, a remote for temperature control and music volume, auto defrost in freezer and a wide range of colors. It would also be cool if it had an organizer with pictures on tablet so you just make a selection of what you want to cook for dinner. Then it just deposits it in slot in door and you're not letting cool air out.

My Kenmore refrigerator has met my expectations. It is still working well and a second refrigerator is in my garage. I didn't really need a new one but wanted more modern features. I like that it was brightly lit and deep. I like the gallon size pockets too. At the time I liked the top freezer. I still use it as an extra refrigerator after all this time. Now I like having a bottom pull out freezer better than on top. My fridge has no stainless steel exterior. I could have gotten rid of it when I got new but it was working just as well as the day I got it.

Do not buy Kenmore 60214. Previous to this model we had a Kenmore that lasted from 2000-2016 until the compressor died. This unit is 1 yr + 2 months and both freezer and fridge are suddenly not cold enough even with both dials are at the coldest. Will NEVER buy Kenmore brand again after being a loyal fan for over 30 years. Piece of junk.

Kenmore use to have reliable products. No more. I bought a Kenmore fridge from Bel Air, MD Sears in Jan 2017 but did not buy a policy because Kenmore had a good reputation. After only 12 months and 20 days, it broke down. Repairman said the refrigerant was leaking and required the evaporator, tubing and the compressor replaced. Total cost, $800. Talked to the Sears people in Bel Air, MD and they wouldn't do anything. We will never darken Sears' doors or buy Kenmore products anymore.

Also I found it easy to remove drawers and shelves to clean, and the construction resisted breaking and discoloring. But it was much louder than expected, the freezer temperature was not as easy to regulate. It was harder to move when cleaning behind it. I prefer a wider freezer section or positioned at the bottom.

When I go to my fridge I don't think about the motor going out but that it's a Kenmore and this baby will last forever. It was spacious and the extended personal choices of the cold settings were easy to use and convenient. I absolutely loved the soft close doors and drawers too. However, I disliked the lack of color options. The designing team could have designed a less basic and more comprehensive look to the modern generation bracket that I fall into. Also, if Kenmore would have added more features in the water and ice and if the control panels were lit well like a blue LCD that would be just perfect. Other than that, it's a literal peace of mind.

However, this feature often does not keep the case fully closed, thus making it swing open when you open the door. Items often fall through to the floor in the freezer compartment and it's a very big refrigerator. Kenmore has not met my expectations, largely due to customer service response. The refrigerator is a good value overall, but I would go with a different brand next time because of Sears' reputation.

The air filter is really good at keeping food smells out and keeping it smelling fresh. The French doors are great that you can open the two doors and you can see everything. The large bottom freezer is nice with two drawers on the top which is great at keeping things organized. The deli drawer is great as well that you can see what deli meats and cheese you have.

I might just change it to a style with the freezer on the bottom or just purchase a separate stand-alone freezer. The size was perfect for our family. The spill-proof glass and gallon doors were a plus. We also liked the ability to control various parts of the refrigerator. This allowed our food to stay fresher longer. Moving the shelves around was also helpful. However, the freezer was not as wide as I would have liked. Especially with larger items like a turkey that just won't fit in the freezer. I don't think there is anything you can to do fix that without taking room from the refrigerator side of the unit. Given the option, I'll take the more refrigerator space.

We had that Kenmore refrigerator for 15 years and never had an ounce of problems! It has three drawers, two on the bottom which are for fruits and salad fixings like, lettuce and then one for onions, potatoes. You can turn up or down the temperature of the drawer that holds fruits and salad fixings right at the drawer! The third drawer is for lunch meats, cheeses and tomatoes! It has a large freezer compartment, making it easy to shop good sales on pizza, frozen meats and ice cream!

I initially chose to purchase Kenmore over other refrigerator brands mainly due to the price. It was on sale and it had all the features that I wanted like filtered ice maker and a freezer. It keeps food cold. It also has a vegetable crisper drawer with humidity controls. I had a fridge once that kept coming open because the magnet strip was not good. I had to throw food away which was not good. But my current fridge has an alarm that goes off if the door is left open. It also has an ice plus feature that makes more ice when needed.

I really love the amount of features the Kenmore Refrigerator comes with. It comes with an ice machine and a water filter. It also has temperature control and has lasted me about three years. Although it is a great working fridge it does have its problems. The power consumption on the fridge is honestly not even that good and I would definitely check it on the website. But it pretty much exceeded expectations because it is a very affordable fridge and comes with many different features that I could not be happier with. I would honestly buy it again.

I like the size of the shelves, the deep-set bins for produce and the overall quality of the refrigerator. However, the depth size is a little larger than my counters so it sticks out and I would prefer it be even with my counterspace. Other than the size of the Kenmore refrigerators offered, their quality is top-notch. I've purchased Kenmore products since I've been married. My first home came with Kenmore appliances and I never had a problem so when we purchased our second home I decided to use Kenmore appliances. It is a reliable product.

It was a wonderful refrigerator. I had it for 26 years and never had a problem with it. It was the best refrigerator I ever owned. It served me very well. I loved that refrigerator and was quite upset when it quit working. I tried to get it repaired but it was beyond that.

Kenmore has definitely met my expectations. It was the existing refrigerator in the house when I purchased it. The product is sound, reliable, and built very well. It is more than 15 years old and still works great. But I would improve the interior spacing and use stronger plastic for the shelves. My refrigerator is white and I would offer other custom colors besides the standard Black, white, and stainless steel. But the Overall Performance and reliability is excellent and the size is perfect for the space.

I chose the Kenmore because of the space and price. The price wasn't the cheapest but it also wasn't the most expensive. The space was nice and I liked that it came with a shelf in freezer as well! I also liked the ice machine feature, the temperature controls for both freezer and refrigerator, allowing humidity to keep low! It's very efficient. But I would change the way the shelves can be placed. I like to be able to have higher shelving on lower shelving for different food items and containers. I would also like to have seen the refrigerator last longer than it did.

It had a great design and looked good. The capacity was decent and it also had a nice water dispenser that worked really well. It had good shelves and was energy efficient. It could look better to be honest as it was a bit fuggly. You can also buy better fridges for the money that will look good in your kitchen and also have better capacity and freezing capability.

I preferred the appearance of the units that were in my price range and this Kenmore refrigerator has lived up to my expectations. It has fit its needs and use well. The size is convenient for my kitchen space, the door bins are much larger than standard refrigerators which is great for holding Juice bottles and such, I also like the see through shelves which make it easier to spot things in the fridge. But I would like better manufactured motor parts that are higher quality and do not burn up too easily. I would also make the shelves a bit easier to take out as sometimes it is a struggle to line up the tabs properly.

There are lots of things to consider when making big purchases. I compare prices and size and if things have the options my family needs I believe that overall Kenmore has met our expectations. I liked its size, the space inside both compartments, the price, and how long it lasted. I'm sure it also had to do with the stores I like, what they carry and the variety to choose from but I wish you could have more colors. I'm a person who has lots of colors in my life and home and I would also like that they make their other products so people can match things if they choose to. I also think since the times are changing quickly that the fridges should show it. I seen one recently that you could see inside without opening the door... things like that really catch your eye. I also enjoy when I don't have to go far for a deal and when companies try to have lowest price and availability and good warranty.

I like the Kenmore refrigerator's double doors, meat and vegetable keepers and ice maker. The refrigerator portion has 5 shelves, the freezer section has 4 and the freezer door has 5 shelves. I love the ice maker and the way the ice cubes are moon shaped and not clunky. I like the vegetable bin because it keeps the lettuce crisper and the tomatoes are not soft. Cucumbers are kept crisp for over a week as well. The meat keeper has a clip that can be adjusted up allow cooler air from the freezer to come into the meat keeper. The shelves are adjustable and this allows storage space to be used to a maximum advantage. I really like everything about the appliance, That's why I chose it. It's been a great 30 years. I have always shopped at Sears for appliances and their service after the sale has always been great. It is easy to get replacement parts if you are lucky enough to have someone in your family who can work on appliances.

Kenmore has always been a trusted brand. This is the 3rd Kenmore refrigerator I've owned and my washer and dryer are also Kenmore. Never disappointed. It was the width I was looking for and a good price. Delivery was set up and arrived as scheduled. I like that the fridge is slim enough to fit into tight spaces and there is lots of room in the door for beverages. The freezer is surprisingly large enough to hold very large items. The glass shelving makes it easy to see what's in the back. But they could improve on their open door alarm, although handy as I have a child in the house who is very bad about not shutting the door, it is very sensitive for both the refrigerator and freezer doors but it comes on too soon. It can be shut off for a short time but there is no adjustment even through service technicians.

I believe after viewing so many refrigerators and going to different places to check out, we were impressed with the Kenmore Refrigerator brand. I also checked out other brands and reviews but the Kenmore refrigerator by far was equipped better and the price was in the range we were going to spend. Their refrigerators also had good reviews and we liked the look. The Kenmore Refrigerator stuck out as the one we wanted to purchase. The features were great. It was set up easy to clean and it has a great icemaker.

I bought on sale with a good deal and it was pretty cheap when I was on a very small budget and didn't realize the freezer was so little till one day I went to buy a lot of frozen foods and then didn't really have much room to put it. I just hope they make the freezers more bigger and I get a good upgrade soon. But the fridge side is so roomy and I like the built in ice maker and water.

Hidden fees on warranty. Do not buy! Bought Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator 11-2015. Today is 2-14-18. Model 79574O25411. Outside of one year of purchase they wanted $155 to send technician out to "diagnose" problem. Then I would be expected to pay labor rate plus any parts outside of warranty in addition to service call fee. I paid another company $75 to diagnose that the compressor was bad. The compressor is under warranty but sears customer service refused to provide compressor as you must use their service people and pay their going rate EVEN IF THE PART IS UNDER WARRANTY. This is practically a new refrigerator ($2500+) with a major part bad (compressor $300+tax). I found out after that this Kenmore Elite is a rebrand (actually made by LG). It had been rated by Consumer Reports as a good model to buy. This is not the case.

Kenmore appliances used to be reliable but have gone down so much that my husband as a builder, after using them for over 15+ years finally had to recently switch brand/distributors. Where to begin?! Less than one month after installation the refrigerator ice maker broke. Fixed it and it broke again. Now we just buy ice. We are so sick of dealing with appts etc.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite Bottom Refrigerator from Sears and I had a total of three major repairs the last being a new compressor. This last incident was on Friday, February 2, 2018. Buyer be mindful that the Kenmore Elite does not have Kenmore product with Kenmore parts but LG parts. You must pay attention to the model #. Refrigerators that have their parts are GE, Whirlpool and Frigidaire. The time for a replacement part with Sears is a minimum of two weeks. This means I have no Refrigerator. The lemon law requires 4 repairs in a year. I had four but they failed to record to keep good records.

I am joining the conversation about the Kenmore Elite refrigerator. Our 2.5 year old fridge died on January 1st, 2018. After two visits from repairmen, the first guy ordered a part and we waited ten days, and then the second repairman came to install the part and said it was the wrong part, we need a new compressor. We are in need of a part to go with the compressor, a valve, that is just now being manufactured and they have no idea when this valve will be ready. Of course, I have to call Sears to see when the part will be available. No wonder Sears is going out of business, shoddy appliances, uninformed supervisors that can barely read off the of their scripts. I feel there is no one to turn to help alleviate this situation but am at the mercy of whenever Sears gets around to manufacturing parts. Stay away from Sears.

My sweet wife purchased the Kenmore refrigerator/freezer seven months ago. The purpose was to place it in our attached backroom and keep gourmet meats, game, wild fish and wild game fowl in the freezer, and store non-perishable refrigerated items in the refrigerator section. I am a gourmet chef and I enjoy cooking special meals for my wife, children and guests. She opened the freezer two evenings ago and found most of the meats were soft. We disposed of the fowl and fishes immediately. We inspected the meats and saved some. The next morning the freezer temperature was 20℉. Oh joys, the appliance works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. Not a good place to store food safely.

Do not buy any refrigerator from Kenmore. They do not stand behind their products. I have a two year old refrigerator (Kenmore elite refrigerator) that has rust spots all over the outside doors that should be a defect in the material but they refuse to do anything about it.

When is a warranty not a warranty. We have a Kenmore French Door Bottom Freezer Model # 253.7034341d. With 2 weeks of purchase the ice maker failed and Yep service showed up to repair it. They also showed up to repair it the next 5 times it failed. They have replaced all the components, stuffed in insulation and today they applied caulking around all the joints because they didn't have a solution. If we're down to applying caulking doesn't it stand to reason that seals and the design are flawed?

I bought a Sears Kenmore Elite Refrigerator 795.71053.014 a couple of years ago. The bottom freezer floor fills with water and freezes and eventually leaks all over the floor. It has ruined that section of my floor. Sears came out once to fix it but the problem came right back.

After reviewing the Sears website and looking at the complaints I have discovered that the Kenmore Elite has a known issue with the compressor. My fridge is only a little over a year old. The tech ordered my part on Jan 3rd and it still as of today 1/17 shows that the order is pending. Meanwhile my family is trying to live out of a mini fridge. After all the complaints and bad service reviews it should be that they have these parts on hand. This service and inability to get me my part is unacceptable. I spent over 3K on this appliance and to have it go out so soon after purchase is frustrating and I am not getting any answers. I don't recommend Sears.

Compressor went out on Kenmore Elite Refrigerator after 4years. Several reviews show here is a known compressor issue yet Sears fails to recognize it. Sears offered to have technicians come out in 2 weeks at our expense. Very poor quality product and Michelle at the resolution center has very poor customer service skills. She made it very clear that Sears does not care about long time customers.

Brought 3 refrigerators from Sears in 2 weeks. All was Kenmore's. The first two I had to return right because the ice maker didn't work. The 3rd was the Kenmore Elite. Since it was so expensive and big, I thought it was a good refrigerator. Well I was wrong! It sucks just like the other two! After 24 months the refrigerator just stopped working! All of my food went bad, the ice maker and freezer stopped work! Only thing working is the water dispenser. When I call Sears, they want to charge me a $99 service fee plus I have to pay for parts and labor because the warranty is only a year! $2500 FOR A REFRIGERATOR THAT WORKED 24 MONTHS! SERIOUSLY??

When we moved into our new home in the Spring of 2016, we decided to keep the Kenmore refrigerator as it was less than 2 years old. Mistake! In the 18 months since we've replaced the icemaker valves 6 times (1 lower valve, 3 upper valves and 2 replacements of upper valves that failed--again--while the repair was still under warranty). This product is manufactured by LG. WAY too much aggravation for a 2 year old fridge. Safe to say that when we replace it, we will not consider Kenmore OR LG product lines.

This review is about the Kenmore 22052 convertible refrigerator/freezer. After my 32 cubic foot LG French door fridge died, I spent significant amount of time researching the "next" refrigerator, and this website was invaluable. We almost bought a Frigidaire Gallery French door fridge, but to my horror, all of the units I looked at had green corrosion on the copper refrigerant tubing solder connections. These are brand-new units. It's a tell-tale sign of sloppy workmanship. The green crud is corrosion from failure to wipe off excess flux during soldering. In time it will develop a leak. I decided it was time for back-to-basics: no-frills, good workmanship, Made in USA.

Not really getting too cold but I see I am having what I have read about with multiple reviews on their Elite, 2 Door with bottom freezer are having. The freezer coils, freezing over. It seems to show an Error code of FF. The coils, for various reasons, freeze over. Mine is a little over 4 yrs. I have read where some say they are regular happenings that they defrost every year almost. Then you have the problem of finding someone to work on them, A lot of the local repair stores in my area would not touch them claiming getting parts are hard so I wound up calling Sears new A&E repair service since their brick and mortar stores are almost closed.

Not satisfied with Kenmore products. I bought dishwasher, stove washer, and dryer from them. All my appliances have had issues. Thankful I bought outsource warranty company. Only they cannot cover refrigerator compressor. Said that it was covered by Sears. Now dealing with Sears warranty they want to charge 89.00 for service call. If they find more wrong they will charge me for the parts. Never will I buy from Sears ever again. When you call them you can barely understand what they are saying. They hung up on me because I want to talk with manager. After reading all the reviews I struggle what to do.

We purchased a Kenmore French door refrigerator last year in October. After several attempts by two different techs to get our ice maker to work without freezing up, they sent us a replacement. Well, guess what? Same problem. I worked in the refrigeration business for over 35 years as a service tech and tried to explain to these two parts changers what the problem was... that there is a design problem with the area that the tubing comes into ice maker. It allowed ambient air into the freezer and cause not only the tube to freeze but frost to form at the back of the cabinet.

I purchased a high end Kenmore Elite refrigerator and it worked great for a total of 18 months before the compressor died. I kept trying to call Sears support (non-support) and I kept getting people in India that could hardly speak English. After days of contacting, I finally got a response from support on Twitter. They gave me a contact number to call. Of course it was once again India and when going over the issue again they said I had no warranty. I explained it was a Kenmore 5 year warranty for the compressor and they said no. Anyway, they set up an appointment for a tech to come out.

The refrigerator was here when we bought the house, It's stainless steel & constantly needs to be wiped down. The shelves are very hard to clean and the water dispenser leaks as well as the ice dispenser freezes up.

October 26 my ice maker went out. Service appointment was November 8. Technician said part was ordered. I had another appointment. Sears called and said part was back ordered. Set up appointment for December 5. I get recorded messages saying that tech. will not be at my house unless I confirm getting part. Called Sears, my call got dropped twice. Talk to CS. They said they would have to call me back that system was working slowing. Called back 30 minutes later. CS said part was back ordered and they don't know when it will come.

We bought our Kenmore-87 in 1987 and it still works great. It looks outdated, but works so well we can't rationalize replacing it. I don't know if Kenmore is still available.

This is a great refrigerator. Its size really lets us keep everything we need in it and also, it has an alarm to let you know that the door has been left open.

Refrigerator was deemed a total failure after only 4 years of use. It had only a one year warranty. It would have cost more than the cost of a new one to repair. I will never buy a Kenmore product again.

The Kenmore refrigerator was here when I moved and it works ok and keeps things cold and frozen. Also, it has ice maker but I don't use it because I do not use tap water.

Bought my fridge 2.5 years ago. The cooling element for the fridge had stopped working but the freezer is still operating. Sears repairman had to order new part 2 weeks before he can come back out to replace the part which was delivered 5 days after his service call. 2 weeks without a refrigerator because Sears does not have enough repairmen.

I've always trusted Kenmore brands and the Sears saleslady was extremely knowledgeable about all products. After Sears departure, I'd likely go for Maytag.

Designed to fall apart. Veg/cooler bins on the bottom literally fall apart if not very, very carefully opened/closed, which you must do slowly or the drawers fall out. Freezer is inconveniently designed and items fall through the grated bottoms. Had to put big plastic bins in to prevent this. Light bulb in the freezer is useless, lasted less than a month. You also have to be extremely careful to place items away from the bulb, which is positioned so you can't see it, to avoid breakage. Amount of inside available space compared to outside dimensions is horrible. Huge thing, little space. Will never buy this brand again.

I have a side by side Frigidaire and it has an icemaker as well as a water spout. I have never had any problems, however, the freezer side is a little too small. My Kenmore has the freezer drawer on the bottom and an icemaker. The compressor went out and we had it replaced. Since the replacement of the compressor I have not had any problems with it and the freezer drawer is very roomy. I prefer the drawer to a side by side.

We had to buy a new compressor after 5 years. The new compressor is going after another 5 years. Kenmore did not stand behind their product and we had to pay for the new compressor.

Kenmore model #795.71309.012 - Worst French door design. Latches keep breaking. This is third time. My last repair person said it is an LG and it was a bad design. I recently looked at new LG French door products and the design is totally different. What is my recourse.

I have a $3400 black box in my kitchen. It was welcomed into our home on 12/12/2015. After its 2014 brother was replaced because he went dead. Oh was this house complete with this big cold bundle. Bless its heart, as of 10/31/17 I must report it has died. Yep dead, dead, dead. The doctor tech came to check on it 8 DAYS LATER and said all of its guts were broken. Electrical, condenser, and compressor. Basically we have an empty shell left of the bountiful bundle we once knew. Surely, the doctor could fix it.

Model 18 cu ft top freezer 79568039 - What idiot designs a fridge with an egg shelf that is 2 INCHES SHORTER than a standard carton of eggs. We have to cut off the last 2 inches of the carton and put the extra 2 eggs in a bowl on a shelf in the fridge in order to use the egg shelf. Another thing... the two handles on the freezer and lower door have right angles on the corners (very sharp) which are constantly crashing against your elbow when reaching in or out of the fridge. Could have been solved by putting a radius on the handles, but then it wouldn't be as aesthetically pleasing. Don't you people ever have a focus group of people you give these products to, to be able to actually USE them and discover these problems, before spending tons of money to bring them to market???

We have been a Kenmore family for generations. The last house we were in we got ripped off by the Sears home repair service and had many breakdowns. We decided to go away from Kenmore and Sears for several years. We moved into a new house and decided to give Sears a try again. This new fridge is junk. Just a few months after purchase the door handles keep falling off (screws will not stay tight), the ice maker fan keeps freezing up which makes all the ice melt and water all over the floor. Tried to get things repaired under warranty but after 2 hours on the phone, being transferred all over the place and being hung up on, the repair person can't come for 3 weeks. People on the phone don't speak English very well, the whole process is still a nightmare. Last time that we will ever buy Kenmore or Sears.

Purchased a french door, bottom freezer Kenmore Elite refrigerator. It is one year old and just out of warranty. I have replaced 2 control boards and another is out. It has been out of service for 8 weeks. Three repair visits and it is still not working. Sears does not stand behind their product. I have spent over $500 in parts and service call and it is still not running. Repairman leaves and I cannot get another appointment for 2 weeks! Most expensive refrigerator I have ever purchased and lasted the least amount of time. I have confirmed with other repairmen I know that say Kenmore is not what it used to be and can't be trusted. Run from Kenmore!

My wife and I built a brand new home two years ago and supplied it with all Kenmore or Kenmore elite appliances. As of today the appliances are barely 2 years old and the washing machine has broke, needs a new control panel and drain pump that is going to take a week or more to come in so we have no washer for at least a week. The dishwasher shuts off mid cycle so I have to have somebody come out for that. The tech told me it is probably an issue with the temp of the water so I have to run the hot water at the sink until it gets hot then run the dishwasher. Really?

We bought this Kenmore Elite refrigerator (74093) made by LG in May 2016. In September 2017 it quit working. We have a home warranty through AHS. Their technicians have made 6 trips to our home and replaced 4 parts in the unit. It still does not work. Sears service is scheduled to come out Nov. 3, a month after we made the request. We have had to throw out $300 worth of food and still don't have a working refrigerator. The latest technician says these LG french door refrigerators have a high failure rate and he does not recommend buying one. We need either (1) to have this unit repaired permanently or (2) to have the unit replaced with a new one that does not have the same problem rate. Somebody please help!

It's been less than a year that we got our refrigerator and it is already not working. We have had many technicians come and look at it and I mean look. They don't touch it and all they say is, "We will be back in three weeks!!" HELLO I NEED A WORKING Fridge not just a thing that warms up my food. I've spent over 300 on groceries and all have gone to the trash because of the fridge not working. I have a big family and I can't even buy food for the week. This is beyond ridiculous. KENMORE please don't be selling bad refrigerators or at least help me with the one I have.

I bought brand new appliances from Sears.com in May 2017. The refrigerator broke down already. I called Sears. They sent a repair guy. Ice had formed in the freezer and caused the motor to shut down. He melted the ice with hot water and left... Fridge started making noise. I called back and was advised to wait a few days. The noise stopped came back and the ice formed again. Guy came back. Has to place parts on a 5 mo old refrigerator... Customer service is terrible. I spoke to 5 people. No resolution... They just want to replace parts and not the refrigerator.

Purchased the Kenmore Elite French Door with the Grab-N-Go door in August 2014. Since the price of the extended warranty was about $900 we did not purchase it. At the 18 month (July 2016) point the cooling coils in the refrigerator portion we developing extensive icing and it was actually pushing the bottom drawer outward. Sears couldn't get anyone out for 5 days so we called a local appliance repair person. They came twice but we unable to make any repair but show me a part that they thought might be causing the problem. Sears overnighted me the part and I was able to install it. It did seem to initially fix the problem but now (October 2017) about 15 months later, I again have the same problem. I have ordered the part again, the controller assembly which apparently should control the defrosting of this coil. Not sure if these parts are poorly made (LG) or that something else is a problem. These refrigerators are not repair friendly.

On 04/30/16 I purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator for $2,774.10. On 05/16/17 our refrigerator stopped cooling in the refrigerator portion as well as the freezer portion ruining all of our food inside of the refrigerator. Sears stated the warranty expired on 04/20/17 and the refrigerator was no longer under warranty. The customer service told me I should have bought the extended warranty. The Sears technician came out to the residence and the technician stated the control board broke on the refrigerator and gave us a part number. The technician also haggled my wife about the price and warranties and continuously harassed her and kept asking her to hold our newborn baby. My wife asked him to leave multiple times and he left.

Kenmore French Door Bottom Freezer Model 253.7034.3419 - We bought this model in December of 2015 and the ice maker has never worked properly despite 3 attempts by Sears service personnel to make repairs. Thank goodness we purchased an extended warranty or this unit would be sitting on the curb for a yard sale. It's a bit ironic because we selected this unit because it appeared to have the largest ice maker of all the other units. So here we sit, waiting on the fourth visit by Sears service technicians and no guarantee this next service call will actually get the ice maker to work. All the other functions seem to work properly, but as an ice maker, it fails miserably. If you are considering this model, beware the ice maker.

Stay as far away from this product as you can. I paid almost 3000.00 for this French Door refrigerator (Kenmore Elite refrigerator manufactured by LG) only 2.5 years ago. It started out with a weird chemical smell last week which I later learned was Freon. Then everything went from cool to room temp in a day or so and since the warranty is up on it I decided to cut my losses and purchase a new refrigerator. According to other online reviews this is a typical problem with these refrigerators. My trusted repairman won't even work on them. He says they are junk and even if you fix the leak you will be doing it again in 6 mos to a year. I am very disappointed not to mention the fact that I had to shell out another 2000.00 for another refrigerator. Sears, I am done with you.

Kenmore Elite (Grab-N-Go) Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - The ice maker quit working while still under warranty. End of June it took 2 weeks to get someone to come and look at it July 13. Person had to order parts and come back July 28. Still did not work, more parts and come back August 15. Still did not work, more parts and come back Sept 27. Yet again more parts and come back today Oct 6. If you had not figured it out yet. It still does not work. They are going to come back again.

I just bought my appliances this past January 2017 at Sears. They are all Kenmore products. I've had the worst experience ever. My Kenmore Pro fridge leaking water all over my floors. Calling Sears customer service and they are the worst people. I've been trying since September 2, 2017 trying to get this fridge fixed and it's October 5th and still fighting with them. I am still under warranty and I bought extended warranty for $500.00. My advice don't buy Kenmore and don't buy at Sears! I won't even start with all the other appliances.

My compressor failed twice within 5 years. The extended warranty had just run out the second time, so we decided not to pay the $600+ to replace it. The ordeal in just getting the first one was horrible - we were without a fridge for weeks. Then we found out 7 months later that it was also failing! Never buy LG/Kenmore refrigerators!

Generally the Kenmore 795.76209.900 fridge has worked fine for the 3 years I've had it. Complaints include I can put up with a few dents from the ultra thin sheet metal cabinet (Does it really have to be that thin??!! Can almost dent it with fingernail!!!), but the cheap plastic freezer compartment guide rail takes the cake. It broke, now I feel like I've BEEN HAD paying $75.00 with shipping for the replacement part. Am worried the other side will break as well, so trying not to use the upper freezer rack for a week until the part arrives. Otherwise I would REALLY FEEL CHEATED for way over a hundred dollars for $2 worth of molded plastic that should have been made more durable in the first place.

After reporting the glass in my year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator exploded. This is a serious safety concern. Buyer beware!! The only thing they would say is warranty is up really??? This is a hazardous product to have in your home. Customer service was terrible. I have many pictures. I will no longer purchase Kenmore appliances.

I purchased my Kenmore Elite 13 months ago. Just like most people on this site the compressor & some other crap is no good. I have been without a refrigerator for about 40 days. Every time I call the service repair I am transferred at least 3 times, nobody can give a straight answer. I just want to know when is it going to be fixed!!!! Yesterday the Sears guy came out to fix it. Now the ice maker doesn't work. I will NEVER purchase another Sears appliance. I don't even know if I should call them or just get it fixed myself. Sears your customer service is horrible!!!

We first purchased our Kenmore Elite french door refrigerator about 5 years ago. Right after our one-year warranty had expired we started having issues. The fan in the freezer would freeze over, causing a terrible, loud noise, and causing the freezer to warm. Then the ice maker would quit. After numerous Sears repairmen came and replaced the compressor, the computer panel, defrosted the fan, etc. etc. they finally offered us a new frig. Our now two-year-old frig is beginning to have all the same issues. It is making a terrible noise as the freezer fan has frozen again. We have thawed it out numerous times for this same problem, but it recurs over and over. Now the door water/ice has stopped.

I've had my Kenmore Elite/LG made refrigerator for 13 months. I have replaced compressor once. It lasted just barely 90 days making the warranty on it no good. So now I have a 2500 dollar refrigerator that I will have to keep putting money into for as long as I own. It’s sad Kenmore or most all refrigerators would last for many years.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator just over 2 years ago. Just after the manufacturer’s warranty expired the condenser went bad. I had to purchase the extended warranty for them to repair it. Just this past weekend the freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling. I called my local appliance repair man and he said it was a bad compressor. Estimated cost $700. Had to call Sears and get the extended warranty again which was another $370. My scheduled appt is 2 weeks away as this was the soonest they could come out. Luckily I have a Whirlpool Refrigerator in the basement that I haven't had any problems with for close to 15 years. Unless you are willing to shell out $370 a year for an extended warranty I would not recommend buying any Kenmore refrigerators. They are junk! Highly disappointed!!!

We bought a Kenmore freezer 2 years ago in June. We saw a leak underneath recently and found they had applied aluminum foil to the connections. This was not something a long-time, multiple-Kenmore-purchasing customer would have noticed within their 1-year warranty. The compressor is also REALLY hot, as is the heat exchanger. Sears made us pay $99 to have their repair guy out, who glued more insulation to the line, told us the compressor temperature and the aluminum foil was acceptable, did not give me a receipt and left. The freezer is leaking today (one day later) and his insulation fell off. Sears (in the Philippines call center) won't stand behind the defect or the repair (to send another tech is another $99). We won't be buying ANYTHING from Kenmore or Frigidaire (the manufacturer) ever again.

Kenmore Elite Bottom Freezer Refrigerator: Three years ago we moved to Key West, refurbished our home and purchased a complete line of Kenmore appliances from the local store. Two days ago we awoke to a large puddle of water on the kitchen floor. Upon further examination, we discovered that our freezer portion of our refrigerator stopped working and that all of our food had thawed. We immediately called the repair # listed on the back of our Sears/Kenmore instruction manual. After an hour and a half run around between departments, we were cut off.

If you buy a Kenmore Elite French door be very sure you are buying one made by Whirlpool not made by LG. If you are told it is a LG, RUN. I have a $2000 Kenmore Elite French Door bought Aug. 09, 2013 that I am junking. Had it worked on by the only local guy locally. He put on new parts and could not fix. Takes Sears home repair at least 3 weeks to come. Sears does not offer any help and could care less. Wants you to buy a warranty for $49.95 a month to cover repairs up to $500. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING LG or KENMORE ELITE.

Purchased on 2/16/15. Delivered 4/2/15. 8/22/15 - Called for repair - Motor broke -- All food spoiled. Several repairs and parts ordered over months. Motor broke, Motherboard broke, 6 boxes of "parts" delivered to house for install. Still no fridge to use. Sears offered no loaner, nothing for our family. After working for 1 month with Christian, from the Los Altos Appliance Dept., a new one was traded out in November 2015 -- I purchased 3 year extended warranty on the replacement.

Our 16 month old refrigerator has been down for over a month. Sears does not stand behind its products. It does not stand behind it parts guarantee. Sears does not care about customer satisfaction or inconvenience. Its help desk of of no value. The parts we need are made by LG for Kenmore and have been out of stock since at least 6 July. Our most recent possible date to repair is 8 August if the parts happen to be delivered. We are beyond frustrated and disappointed in Sears -- if it did care we would have expected Sears to have offered a loaner for our 3000 dollar investment.

I purchased a Kenmore Refrigerator May 2016, 2 months out of warranty and the ice maker doesn't work. It's outrageous to me that a $675 refrigerator has a broken part after only 14 months that will take hundreds of dollars to evaluate and repair. Kenmore appliances are not made to last. I will never purchase another Kenmore appliance again!

Kenmore Coldspot Model 106.51129212 - The water recapture bay for the ice maker, that is integrated into the freezer door has no drainage. It was difficult to remove, and seems to be poorly designed. The ice maker takes up much of the storage space on the freezer door. The refrigerator shelving adjustment options are poorly designed as well. After owning Kenmore refrigerator products for over 40 years, My overall experience with this model has been disappointing.

I bought this Kenmore "Elite" refrigerator in 11/15 and its first service call was 5/17, barely 18 months later. The Freon needed to be replaced due to a faulty valve (which will recur in about 2 years due to a design problem) -- that cost $400. Six weeks later, the food was not being kept cold and now I'm told the compressor needs to be replaced! And the warranty covers the parts, but, of course, not the labor. Save yourself time and money -- DO NOT BUY KENMORE ANYTHING ANYMORE! This used to be a trusted name in appliances, but no more. The washer I bought 9 months ago doesn't get clothes clean (another review).

I would advise anyone shopping for a new refrigerator to steer clear of Kenmore elite refrigerators. $2200. On sale less than 3 yrs ago. Plus additional $800 for master warranty. Ice maker stopped working and temperature in refrigerator in the high 60's. Problems started mid June. It is now July 24th. 3 visits from repair tech still not working. Another 17 day lead time for another appt. You have to send blanket emails, make countless calls to get anywhere. If you were counting on LEGENDARY Sears customer satisfaction motto forget it. Research online and you can read for yourself the multiple posting of customers having serious issues with this fridge. I regret not researching my choice better. BUYER BEWARE!
