Our pool for over 30 years had a DE Filter and we had to have a separation tank when we backwash because of the location of the pool in the neighborhood. So over the years, I’ve been nursing this old Anthony pool equipment and they’re harder and harder to find. My pool service provider recommended Jandy Pro cartridge filter which would eliminate all the excess work. So I went over to the store over the winter, took a look at it, and it was a no-brainer. Then we had the filter installed some time in March and opened the pool in May. We have 11 grandchildren that live within walking distance, and this a very child-active area, and we have people in the pool all the time. We also had a 4th of July party where we invited a lot of people. A lot of people came and that was the only time this summer that the water got slightly grey. My wife and I decided to leave the pump all night and by the next day, it was crystal clear.

We were told that when the pressure gauge got to 20, it was time to clean the filter. We just closed the pool early September and I never had to open it up. So the guys from our service provider have taken the filter and the cartridges, and they're gonna clean them for me, and we put them back in there. And we saved a lot of money on any excess chlorine. We usually have to put back Shock in there but now we have an extra box of Shock left over because we haven’t used it. We've been living in this house for 34 years and this is, by far, the absolute best experience, and we didn't have to worry about it too much. I worked through my dealer, and every time I was in the store to do something, I would grab one of the guys and thank them for introducing Jandy Pro to me. I would even go on TV for Jandy Pro.

I own a pool cleaning business. I purchased Jandy Pro Series equipment for my customers and I also purchased it for my house because I was upgrading to new energy efficient equipment and getting rid of the single speed outdated stuff. Their customer service and their reps are outstanding. I bought a variable speed, a heater, blower, filter, booster pump, pool cleaner and another pump for my water heater. I did the installation myself and it was wonderful. The products are very user-friendly that anybody can do it. They're top of the line and very reasonable compared to some of the other ones that are out there. They have made my pool maintenance a lot easier because everything is compatible with my system and I have the ability to control it from my phone.

I called Thomas Pools, a local store and they referred the Jandy brand heater. The guy installed it but he couldn’t make it work. He said something was stuck in the pipe in the swimming pool. When the pool water gets to the spa, the water will be drained quickly. Every ten minutes, the spa water goes 1 inch lower and eventually, it drains out. I called Jandy to check the equipment and their customer service team answered my questions. It was a good interaction. They made an appointment and sent the same local maintenance service guy that comes to my house. He checked it and there was no problem. Then, he called me and said that there was something wrong with the pipe. Something was stuck and blocks the water to return to the spa.

Right now, I don’t use the heater since it can’t heat up the pool. When the water flow is low, the crumpling sound won't stop. You will hear it right away, so you would think something is wrong and turn it off. Something in the design needs to be modified. If you want the best brand, you should get a different one. However, Jandy could be a second option.

    Dear Randy,

We're so sorry you've had a frustrating experience that has prevented you from using your pool heater. Upon further investigation, our local service representatives have determined that there is an issue with your plumbing and not the heater. The rattling sound you mentioned is due to low water flow through the heater. You will need to contact a local plumber to address the plumbing issue.

The heat pump that I had was broken and the technician that I called for a different service recommended Jandy Pro. I purchased the product that he recommended and he installed it. The pump had a good, reasonable price and it was worth the price. It's working perfectly so far and it's keeping the pool cleaner because it suctions enough water, unlike the previous pump we had. Also, we clean the filter less now.

I got a brand-new pool from Jandy and the pool builder. The products appear to be fine and when it's working, its maintenance is very low. However, in the beginning, it was a complete nightmare with the whole salt cell system. The three control boards and the master system of the AquaPure Sanitation System kept going down. As soon as I put the system, we had nothing but issues. It wasn’t working and we replaced the boards. Then, the LED went out two months ago. I had to replace the salt cell a couple of months before that and it was out of warranty. They called a local repair place and put me in contact with them. Prior to that, I was going with the pool builder because it was under warranty with their rep. I've had the system for five years and I would recommend Jandy as long as they have the salt cell figured out. However, people should get an extended warranty.

I purchased a Jandy pool heater through an authorized dealer in town and they came and installed it. Our other heater was almost 20 years old and it had gone out. I was happy to go with the Jandy product and also the fact that the units are smaller now than they were 20 years ago, which is nice. The cost of the equipment is good for its good quality too. My husband does the regular maintenance but we have a pool professional come in if there's an outage. All in all, I'd recommend Jandy. They're a good name in the industry so I was happy when they offered the product to me.

We had a new pool liner as well as a Jandy Truclear Salt System installed by Kinney Pools, Brick New Jersey in April 2018. Aside from a few wrinkles in the liner we were initially happy with Kinney's product and service people. Then the troubles with the Jandy unit became apparent and Walt and Nick from Kinney Pools came out to verify that the S.S. light is staying on and nothing shows on the display.

The Jandy rep came out and left it in the same non functioning condition. We called him directly and he said he had NOT ordered us a new unit. Amber from Kinney Pools admitted that Jandy has problems with their displays in the Truclear units. Today, Amber is on vacation and the owner of Kinney Pools is not in the office. We've asked Kinney for a $1,610 refund for the Jandy unit and new piping valves for the unit. We're tired of running around in circles with two companies that don't seem to care about their customers. The makers of the Jandy unit know they are selling a defective product.

We bought a low-flow medium head pump from Jandy. We may have bought a pump that was a little bit too big. But we're expanding the pool in the future and that was what we had in mind. We had a little problem because I've got a paper filter in the pool and it raised the pressure on the filter 'cause the pressure of the pump was high, and we had to put a restrictor on the outgoing pipe of the pump to try to get the pressure down. So, it did cause a problem, but it's not the pump's fault. The pump itself was fine. It's a good pump and it's reasonable for its price. Hopefully, it will provide the good service it's supposed to.

I’ve purchased several equipment from Jandy over the last year and a half. Jandy is good. The ability to control all the equipment without having really many issues is the reason why I went with them, with the AquaLink that I had. We had our pool already done and I had an AquaLink, and then we went with all Jandy equipment except for the pool lights. My lights are Hayward and the Jandy equipment doesn’t communicate with them that well. I looked into getting technical support and I didn’t get a lot of support in that regard so I wasn’t very happy. But other than that, the equipment is running fine.

My unit before wasn’t working correctly so I had to purchase a new Jandy Pro saninatition system. My pool professional had recommended the original one and since I had already all the components, I thought it was just the chlorinator that I needed so I purchased that to keep everything consistent. I was a bit disappointed that once you’re stuck with certain error codes it’s not easy to troubleshoot. Even though you have the manual it’s not clear and simple on which component is defective. But the product is of good quality and is working fine. It has improved the maintenance of our pool dramatically. If I have to compare it to putting chlorine in the pool, it’s much easier to maintain with this type of equipment.

I did a lot of research and I went with Jandy Pro Series' best model and unit for longevity and usage. However, knowing what I know now, I would have never purchased it. The shipping was fine and everything was delivered but there was a problem on the heater after it was installed. Initially it ran fine but then it crapped. It took me two and a half months to finally get Jandy to send someone out to fix the damn thing because there was no Jandy dealer network whatsoever in Wisconsin, and I did not know that.

The issue I had was not the quality with the product or how it’s built. Once they were there it was fine and it got done in like an hour but I just can’t afford to spend two and a half months arguing with people to get somebody out here to service my pool heater. I will not do business with Jandy again unless they had a dealer network in Wisconsin, which my understanding is they have no intent of doing so. So I’m gonna keep this heater until it’s out of warranty and if it dies, I’m gonna replace it with a Raypak. The lesson I learned is never buy from anybody unless you can confirm they have local service.

I got a Jandy Pro heat pump to enjoy the pool longer. Jandy has got all kinds of stuff so their reputation is pretty reliable. I bought the heat pump from an online place and it was easy. I had to do everything myself and find the people that I needed to come and do it. I had some technical questions back then with them but they were able to answer my questions. At the beginning the pump was turning off but it had nothing to do with the equipment, it was more electrical work. One of the major things why I hired them is because the equipment is energy efficient and so far the quality of the equipment has been good. It does what it's supposed to do.

The original equipment for our pool was a Jandy and it was twenty-some years old. We got a heater from them and while the previous unit had worked fine, the new one did not. It only worked for about a day or two and then the igniter was broken. So, we had to have a new one put into the heater. I took care of that situation with the installer, SchagrinGAS out of Delaware. They sent a serviceman right away but he didn't have the parts needed.

So, we went online to find the igniter and spent an enormous amount of money to have it overnighted as we were having a houseful of guests. I would have been stuck without a pool heater and the pool would have been cold. The technician installed our parts and then credited us back for the shipping and the part itself. So, we didn’t have any out-of-pocket expense. However, the new heater is a little loud compared to our old one. It sounds like a jet engine when it's on. Still, it's efficient and the heat is fine. It also doesn't seem to use a lot of propane.

After 14 years, my original pool heater died and I looked at both Jandy and Rayburn. I liked the smaller size and the footprint of the Jandy. It was also recommended by equipment professionals. So, I had one installed. Since getting the new heater, I've noticed that it's not quite as powerful as the previous one which surprised me. They're both the same weight but then the new one is three and a half degrees an hour whereas the older one was closer to four.

Another thing that has been amazing to me is how expensive installations are in California. It's ridiculous. In Palm Springs, I could get a pool heater installed for $400. If I try to do it where I am, it's $1200 plus. If I fly my pool guy from Palm Springs to install my heater, I'll still save money. A $2,500 P-pump shouldn't carry a $1,500 installation cost. Still, the installer from Jandy was personable and he did a great job. Other than the new heater not being quite as efficient in heating, I've had no issues at all with the Jandy. I maintain it myself and I've been very happy with my purchase.

My Jandy salt system for my pool was purchased through Aqua Vision in Marietta, Georgia and was installed in June of last year. It was only in use for four months. Then when I restarted my pool this year, I couldn’t get it to chlorinate over 50%, and it kept saying, “Low temp, low salt.” It had the three-year warranty on it. I kept calling Jandy and they were willing to work with me. Even when I got to the wrong department, they let me know who I needed to contact about this particular thing.

Jandy gave me a list of people that was approved for them to send out and work on the system. I was surprised that the people that I bought it from and installed it wasn’t on that list. So, I ended up dealing with another company, but everybody was really nice about it. The pool tech replaced the motherboard, which didn’t work and then the new salt cell that was sent to me did not work, as well. So they went through the process starting from the most likely thing to happen and then we went to the second most likely thing before we went to the pool warranty replacement on the power pack that took care of the problem.

The FloPro Speed Pump from Jandy has been running flawlessly. The one kind of beef that I had after I bought it was I couldn’t put my booster pump up to it. I would’ve had to get a more expensive model to be able to tap in the power to the pump and have the primary pump tied to the booster pump. I gotta be careful because if the Jandy pump turns off when the booster pump’s on, then the booster pump can fry out. There’s no auxiliary output power on this model. So, my recommendation to Jandy would be to provide that auxiliary output power to a booster pump from the main pump, in lower-level models. That would be cool.

The only other complaint that I have is when I empty and clean the collection basket in the pump every now and then. Because of the plastic grooves that are on the inside of the basket, the stuff gets stuck in there and I can’t just use my hand to pull the stuff out. I gotta scrub it with a brush to get it out of there. And it was way easier around my old basket that I had in there to clean it than it was this one. But the quality of the pump is great and I love it.

I’m gonna try to save my electric bills from this year. And as far as the pool and how I was keeping it, the fact that I can leave it running on this lower speed at night and then have it run a little faster during the day, the pool’s been fantastic all summer long. The fact that we also had the rebate from our electric company made the cost very similar to a cost of a more standard pump. So, the cost wasn’t all that bad, as well.

So, once the heat starts, I don’t have any problem with it. It just doesn’t maintain the heat at the thermostat where I set it at. But aside from that, the quality of the products seems fine.

I've been using Jandy Pro's product now for about two months. It came with the pool when I purchased it. It has been great but it’s unfortunate that some people that install these products do not tell you anything about them. A professional pool company installed a variable speed pump. It has the salt system and the wireless modem. If somebody had gone over and gave me proper end services, it would have made the process a lot easier and a lot nicer.

If you don't get the modem system correct on how to schedule things, you'll never get your service out of your pump, because you can set the variable speed motor at whatever speed you want. And if you don't get that adjustment correct, it throws off your salt generator and cleanliness of your pool and the filtration. It's so intricately involved with each other, that you have to get a nice mix of all the systems together to make it work right. It took me probably three weeks to get it all figured out and how it all worked together. I would not recommend Jandy unless they had a service provider that was gonna handle all the explanation on how things function and how they interface with each other. But that was my only disappointment and the equipment itself works great.

It's doing a great job, but I would not buy the same equipment. I would use the salt generator but I would not go with their variable speed pump. I had a pool for 20 years and it was the old system, just a regular straight C pump and commercial timer. I never had a bit of trouble with it. If anything ever happens with this equipment, I will be the first one to go back to the old-fashioned commercial manual timer system with a straight motor and let it go with that. It's very easy to work with and makes life a lot easier. Also, the wireless timer they mounted on the wall is like $85 and I can buy a commercial manual timer for the same price. And I can do what I want with it without having to rely on my iPhone or my iPad.

My pool was designed for a seven station, digitally controlled vacuum "Caretaker" system. Within mere days, the electronics failed. The Jandy representative made three replacements, all failing in a matter of days. It seems outside temperature was frying the electronics. I was told that was not an issue, yet also know that it is a problem with the system and there have been very similar complaints in several areas, for example in Phoenix as reported by a pool service provider professional technician.

Finally, the Jandy representative related that they could combine some stations, downgrading to a five station system, and install a completely mechanical driven controller. He assured me that the downgrade would work just as well in terms of vacuuming the bottom of the pool. Not only has that system not cleaned (pitifully), but itself has been replaced with a "repair" kit numerous times. I accept the wear and tear issues of any machinery, but DO NOT accept a flawed system that simply does not work as intended. Instead of denying the problem, Jandy should fix the problem and that begins with electronics that are properly temperature compensated, or alternatively provide the means to protect the system. On a final note, the local Jandy representative has been non responsive, even arrogant. The issue has been and remains ongoing with no attempt to resolve by Jandy.

My purchase experience from Jandy was fine. They were able to get 100% of what I needed because I ended up having to swap more equipment out later after the pump was installed. The local store, Palm Tree Pools in Oviedo, Florida, has Jandy reps. They installed my pump and filter. I was going from Hayward to Jandy, so I had some compatibility issues that they've attempted to address. There were some ancillary stuff that I had to do. I have an automated pool system using a Hayward OmniLogic, which allows me to control my stuff. So, one of their variable speed pumps wasn't gonna function with my system, so I had to buy just a single-speed pump to be able to control it.

And then, I had to have a Hayward tech come out, and do a little tweaking on the OmniLogic system because the pump was shutting off. So, there was some control issues that needed to be taken care of. Also, my filter was a Hayward DE and we ended up having to replace that shortly after because for the first week, the pump wouldn't stay running. We ended up pulling the filter off and putting a Jandy cartridge-type filter. I had to get a new vacuum, new pump, and new filter for my system, in order for everything to really work fine and to this point, everything's been working fine. I like the quality of Jandy's products. I had a good experience and I would recommend Jandy.

We have previously lived in a place with a saltwater pool and when we bought this place, it had a chlorine pool. So, we wanted to have a saltwater pool, so there was no question about getting a saltwater chlorinator. Before, we had a Zodiac Clearwater. It was great, but they don’t make those anymore. So then, Jandy Pro was the next one that was the most similar. Our saltwater chlorinator is running fine. The persons who installed it were quite knowledgeable about the product and got it all set up quickly. It was a retrofit, so they put it into the existing pool that we were working where we have a chlorine pool to a saltwater system. The chlorine levels are as expected the way they should be that requires little or no maintenance or attention. I maintain it, and the only maintenance so far that we’ve required is just changing the chlorine level that is boosting the percentage. The product's quality is right on the money.

We resurfaced our pool and we added the salt water system which was with Jandy. The only thing that was really confusing to me was how much salt to add because if you looked at the tables, I was about ready to put 500 pounds of salt in the pool and people were saying to not do that because then I'm gonna add too much and that was the tricky part. I added the first five bags and then I added another four bags, two bags at a time on two other day until it gets me to where I needed to be as far as the salt in the system.

Nonetheless, my husband was able to set it perfectly. However, Jandy is not testing our water for free for anything. They’re trying to sell me something so everytime I came, it was like a different reading and that’s just maybe salt but for something else they would say that we need to add this and that and I would say, “Well, I just put that in," so wasn’t really too happy about it. My husband was thinking that maybe they are like not adding enough rocks and all of it or adding too much rock to make us buy more products.

There is one other thing too. When I went to go register the product, it was to find the serial number on it. I always try to take a picture of the boxes with the serial number on the box and that wasn’t it. That was for the box on the wall. It wasn’t for the part of the actual product itself and it doesn’t tell you anywhere where to find it on the equipment when you’re going through the directions. Nonetheless, the pool professional gave a choice of Jandy or Hayward and there were two reasons why we chose Jandy. One was the price and although Hayward's menu is a little bit easier to go through Jandy is easier to clean.

The Variable Speed is something that we highly recommend because it lasts longer. It’s better quality and it also is cost-effective over the long term. The better unit, the less power. The total experience is really good because it’s a smoother running pump. I also have one of their catalog books, so that always helps. If I have an issue with any of our products, we call and we troubleshoot. Their tech support is great. The warranty system and how they do that are awesome. Also, how I put in my rebate is great. I have a four year old pool so my issues go beyond “warranty”. My pool has three very expensive pro series lights, one of which has failed and two are failing. These high dollar lights are designed for thousands of hours and have worked only a few hundred. My initial caretaker system was a seven station digital unit that could not withstand the outside temperature. Jandy downgraded to a mechanical five station system that is less than pathetic. Worse the Jandy rep has been arrogant and nonresponsive. Granted warranty is warranty but I feel I’ve spent high dollars on equipment proving to me little more than junk.

And Jandy gave me some references. The customer service reps were really nice. They got me the information and they helped me get a tech out here as soon as they could. The tech came out and he was good. The pool pump is under warranty, and he got it working properly. I also did some extra stuff this year like adding Jandy automatic valves, and it's working really good now.

Jandy's products have good quality overall. I'm a little concerned that it was only a three-year warranty. And in one year, my motor burnt out. I got two years left on the warranty then I'm off. But my overall experience with Jandy has been good. I would tell others to check the warranty before they purchase and try to get five years, if not longer.

I went to my pool supplier that I usually buy my pool supplies from. They told me that I may need a new pump soon and recommended a Jandy pump. It was on sale at the time and I decided to but it. My old pump was almost 10 years old and the timing of getting the new one couldn't have worked any better because the old one ended up going on me on a Sunday afternoon. And it just so happened that I purchased a pump a day before. So, it worked out well. I installed the new pump and had no problems. Everything has been fine since then.

But I later learned about the variable speed pump and I wish I wasn't told about it because I would have preferred to install that than the normal Jandy pump that I got. I should have been told that there was a different pump out there available for me other than this one that I purchased. I wasn't given any other options at the time I purchased it. Other than that, I'm familiar with the Jandy product. I know they've been around for a long time, so their product is easily a good quality product. I also feel comfortable with what I have and I'd recommend them.

The purchase that I made was a replacement for a failed pump that was previously installed. Based on the previous failure of the pump, quality is not that high given that this was a replacement for that. But it was a one-for-one swap out so I couldn't complain with the ease of installation of the new one. With the pump previously being down, Jandy needed some time to get the pool back to normal. But since then, it's working again as expected and doing what it should be.

I was the second owner of the original pump that failed, so it was still within a warranty period but Jandy would not warranty it because I was not the original owner. So I was highly disappointed in that. Upon purchasing the new replacement pump and getting that installed, I gave Jandy a feedback directly that my experience was pretty poor and I was gravely displeased with having to buy my own pump and it being still within the warranty period. Once they received that feedback, they were happy to replace it for me. But because I had already purchased my own pump, there was nothing they could do at that point.

However, they went ahead and offered me a robotic pool cleaner which I accepted. It was a nice little bonus and perk but still, the hassle with the warranty and them front-ending it was a big issue for me. Overall Jandy has decent products and good equipment. They wanna do right but you need to go through the right channel to get what you need if you're not satisfied.

I don't have a heater that's working and when I purchased the model that I was trying to replace, supposedly Jandy discontinued that model and they had a different model, which I found out after I had purchased the one that I already had at my home. The tech talked to Jandy and Jandy had an upgraded modern model with the same BTU. They found it in the warehouse that was local, and the dealer that I got it from called me back and said, "We got it in the warehouse if you want it. It's not the same one that you had but it's the same type for the capability." I said it was fine and they delivered the thing on the second week of May.

However, it doesn't work at all. I've had several people that I've talked to that have sent all kinds of parts trying to figure out why, to the point that now, I'm waiting for a whole new heater. We’re going in the middle of July and I'm still waiting to hear from the company that’s supposed to be installing because they told me that it was overnight, and no one has called me to tell me if the heater's here or not. Sometimes I feel like I gotta call them every day to follow up on something that I have no control over. Also, I had to realign my gas lines because the gas lines that were hooked up to the previous Jandy product that I purchased were discontinued. I had to sit there and have a guy come out and refit the gas line to be able to go into the one that I got there now. That was something else that was costing me.

Customer service has been good in terms of communication and trying to fix the problem. I have other Jandy products that I haven't had issues with, and I haven't had any issues dealing with them when it comes to purchasing things. This is the first time I've had an issue of this magnitude with a Jandy product. The whole point of us getting the heater at that time of the year was we wanted to have it for Memorial Day. Around here, the temperature is not as hot so the water is not something that you wanna get in. I wanted a heater so I could at least heat up the pool to a comfortable temperature until the summer. That was the whole purpose why we bought it at that time, and now we're in the middle of July.

Being a variable speed, it fluctuates according to the water so, our bill should be lower. That’s what we really expect. I would recommend to people to do their research and research the different products that are out there before they make a decision. But I feel we made the right decision especially with the rebate from the electric company. So, it must be very energy-efficient for you to qualify for a rebate.

But if the timer was set to go off while you've been using the jacuzzi heater, the Jandy turns off. But when the timer comes on the next day, it starts again. So there's no way to turn it off once, and you can only get power to it if the pool is on. So it's really easy to forget to turn the pool back on to turn it off. So you end up heating your whole pool when you didn't know you were going to. It has happened to us numerous times. Jandy Pro is a really great company that’s easy to work with and provide quality products. My direct experience with Jandy wasn't much but it was great and very smooth. We had a pool built about a year ago and one of the lights from Jandy had started to fail in some way, shape or form. I called Jandy and they informed me how to go through the process of getting it replaced. The representative has been super kind and very professional. I called some local Jandy distributors and they handled the rest. The Jandy products are great and good quality. We’ve been very happy with Jandy so far and others should try them out.

I had the brand new pool installed and the pool company put the Jandy Pro Series TruClear Saltwater Chlorinator in. They did a nice pool and they put nice equipment in, and everything was nice and perfect. The Jandy Pro product was actually very good and it has been performing very well since it was installed. It is very small, like the salt generator, but it does a very good job based on the experience that I had with it. So, I was surprised because I had the Pentair, which was a big equipment, at the other house but it was not doing as a good job as the small one from Jandy Pro.

The Jandy Pro product is not even a year old and it has broken down only once. I called the pool company and told them that the Jandy Pro product wasn't working, so they went in and checked it out, and they found that it was definitely not working. Recently, the Jandy Pro guys came out and replaced their product under warranty within 10 days, so that was perfect. The process went very smoothly and nicely, and I liked the service of Jandy Pro.

The contractor who did our house was the one who purchased the Jandy TruClear Saltwater Chlorination and it was not bad. We do not need to keep adding chlorine in the pool. However, the sensor doesn’t read. An error shows that there's no flow or sometimes the salt is low. When I got it tested in the lab, they said, "No, everything's fine". I called their customer service and they told me, “Okay, just go online and choose the nearest dealer and they're gonna come and make a service on that." A company came over and they did some maintenance on it. So now, it's okay. Jandy Pro is good and I'd recommend it.

We just built a complete new pool in our backyard and we decided to get a pool heater and I did some research to see exactly what we needed and how big. I read the reviews of different manufacturers and pool heaters and their cost. We decided that Jandy would be the best fit and I’ve ordered it online. My pool builder installed it and everything was really great. I had one issue. There was a part that didn’t work correctly so when the heater was unheating it would freeze on the outside and stop working, even though it was not a freezing temperature.

I called the technical support. It took quite a long time, like almost a month until it was fixed. It seems the technical team first didn’t really know what was wrong and when it was identified what could be wrong it took a little bit some time like two weeks or so to get the parts. And they came back and installed it. The repair was a little bit of a pain but it worked out at the end. We have a 17,000 gallon pool so it’s quite high and we heat the complete pool up to 97 degrees. It’s a big hot tub but it does not consume a lot of energy so it’s awesome and that's why we like it. The device, the quality of it and the efficiency is great. I definitely recommend Jandy.

I have been trying to manually add the silver into the water on the pool which was almost a daily occurrence and it was not very fun. So, I talked to the local pool place that I'm dealing with now and they suggested I purchase a Nature2 chlorinator and sanitation system from Jandy Pro Series. I installed it myself on my Master Spa and it was difficult. I tried to seal off all the different ports so that water wasn't trying to back feed in and that was not happening. The water was trying to come up as I was drilling in and by that point, it was too late to call Jandy Pro about it. So I continued in and just dealt with the water until everything was sealed up. After I installed the equipment, everything has been going great. It's making it very easy to maintain my pool and turned it into a once a week type thing instead of daily. I would tell my friends to come on over and look at everything. I would also tell them that it's worth it.

When we bought the house last June, the pool and the spa were unheated so the pool company that was resurfacing our pool recommended the Jandy. They said it'd be more expensive to use a gas heater. But the Jandy JE heat pump that we purchased hasn't been good. It was not heating up the pool like we wanted it to. One morning when we got up, it had 12 inches of ice surrounding the outside of it. The bottom 12 inches of the unit was covered with ice. I talked to Kyle, their service person about it. He explained to me how heat pumps work. We've never owned a pool before so we're new at this. Our expectation was if it gets to be 50 degrees at night and we want to wake up to an 80-degree pool, we just turn on the pool heater. However, heat pumps don't work under 70 degrees because they're designed to work above 70 degrees temperature.

It was a very informative call for me. How then would we heat our pool if we wanted to heat it in 50-degree weather outside? Apparently, we had to have a gas or Propane heater to fire it up and it's not affected by the outside temperature, it will heat our pool. However, it will be much more expensive to heat a pool that way. And that was one of our reasons why we didn't select a gas heater, why we went with the heat pump. Our expectation was it would do the same thing. It will just take longer to heat the pool than a gas heater would. As it turns out, it's not gonna work under that temperature.

The other night here, it was down in the 40's and the rep explained, "I can come out and look at your heat pump but I know it's working as designed. It doesn't work at that temperature." He was very knowledgeable about it and I'm willing to accept his explanation of how a heat pump works. Now that we understand how it's supposed to work, we're just gonna have to deal with it. If it gets cold for a few months down here, we're not gonna get the pool heated with the heat pump. I guess you can heat your pool with a duo system which means on a real cold night you can have a Propane tank attached to a different heater and it will work during those cold temperatures. And then when the temperatures warm up you can switch over to your heat pump.

Kyle said to make sure that it's working as designed, I need to turn it on and within an hour and it will heat the spa very quickly to the 100-degree temperature that we wanted it to be. At first, I thought there was a problem with the pump because it's not heating the pool. But he told me that the pool has got a lot more water in it than the spa, but it should heat and it's warm every day. It's been around 80 degrees now so it should work just fine at this temperature to heat the spa to a 100 degrees. I wish I'd known about it because I would have probably selected a gas heater. My pool service should have just said, you can make it a gas heater so it heats fast.

You need people to have the right expectations. As we go through this spring and summer down here, I think we'll get more experienced with the heat pump. If it's 75 degrees out, I want the pool to be 85 degrees. And if it works just fine, then I'll know we just have to work around the issue that in low outside temperatures it's not gonna heat the pool up. And that's the important expectation that people should have about how a heat pump works versus how a gas heater works. Then, people can make a more informed decision and their expectations will be in line with what they're getting.

At two years and 10 months, the motor went out and Jandy replaced the motor but I had to pay to have it installed. Then, both lights on the spa and the swimming pool went out in about three years and Jandy didn't want any part of that. I had to pay $700 for two lights and the installation. I was told by the guy who takes care of the chemicals that there are three names in the pool business and Jandy is one of them but he does not recommend Jandy. When the AquaPure does go, I'm going to go ahead and change the chlorinator system to another brand.

We work heavily with Jandy. That's the brand that I always recommend to my clientele, whenever it comes to replacing a heater. A lot of the times, they already have Jandy equipment, so it's pretty easy to replace Jandy with Jandy. If there is a Rypak or a Hayward, I always suggest Jandy because we work heavily with them and they give us an extra year warranty for our clients. That's a really big incentive to get them if they don't already have Jandy to get on board with the Jandy products.

Because we are a gas company, we deal mostly with the heater, solely, and replacement parts, so anything from sensors to valves to heat trays. We have even had to do some specialized venting for some of the condos in our area because they keep their pool equipment in the downstairs garage. So, we have had to convert the regular fan into something that could be vented. So far, I've only had one instance, where within six months of installing the heater, it gave a fault for a sensor. However, the customer ended up calling them directly and they came out and fixed the problem. So, they have been performing well. If I have to call technical support for something it is when working on an older unit. But everybody has been very knowledgeable and helpful.

I appreciate the timely responses, and then the help while my technician is in the field. When he has a question, they are usually available and are able to walk us through things. I have been doing it for about a year now, and I have not really had any complaints. The quality is also great.

I had the fiber optic wheel that had different colors, but because it was a mechanical as opposed to electrical in the way it changes colors, it eventually dry rotted. I decided I was not going to replace it over with something that was there originally. I then did some research. I told the pool supply close by what I was trying to do and they recommended Jandy Pro, and so I went with them. They directed me to Jandy's website and then I filled in their paperwork to make sure the item was under warranty.

They installed it, but after I saw them doing it, I could have done it myself but I did not because I did not know what was involved. I thought I had to go into the pool but one could get it without having to go into the pool. It was a simple replacement -- in addition to removing all the stuff that we have had before, it was just a simple process of pulling a new light into there. I did not have to reinvent the wheel.

Afterward, however, there was a problem. It had to do with the electrical, instead of the light. The way they had wired this was confusing to us as they had a GFI circuit attached to the light switch. So every time we switch on the light, it would trip the GFI. I don't have to breaker it, so I don't know if the GFI breaker was faulty. But, we then took it out and now it looks fine. It's really nice, the changing of the colors. I still am trying to perfect to get them to change the colors because it's all done manually. And if you switch the switch off and on, within a specific time frame, the light changes.

This one is not exactly cheap, but, hopefully, it lasts much longer than the one that I had previously because the previous one with the color wheel lasted five years, and it was pretty expensive. But, when I think about the cost of the original light, this one is comparable with the light. I just expected that since it has no moving parts and that it was all done electronically, it would be cheaper. Nevertheless, the product seems to be working as advertised, and I am satisfied so far. Fiber optic wheels and light lighting systems are a thing of the past, that technology is old. Now it's LED, so that would be the way to go. I recommend it.

My old heat pump was gas-fired, had rusted out, and really wasn't much good for anything except blocking the scenery. It wasn't working after a while and our pool professional recommended we get the Jandy Pro Series. I didn't shop around much but the Jandy heat pump's cost was not exorbitant and I was prepared to pay it. Also, I would certainly recommend it to someone else.

The Jandy heat pump is a little slow, taking a while to get up to speed in terms of producing hot water. But once it gets there, it's fine. Then there seems to be an awful lot of water around the base of the heat pump and it takes a while to dry up. I brought it to the attention of the installer who explained it as condensation. I said that it doesn't seem very satisfactory and somebody should have figured out a way to handle that technically. What if it had been a heat pump that was in an indoor area then the water would just be allowed to form and puddle around the heat pump? There's no answer to that. So, luckily it's outdoors. But initially, I thought it was a leak. Overall, I'm mostly satisfied with the Jandy heat pump and everything seems to be working.

The footprint of the heaters is small compared to the heaters we usually install and supposedly, they're rat-proof. There were a lot of problems here with the rodents. The purchasing experience was fine and they seemed to be stocked here locally.

We install and the installation is no problem. It's pretty basic. We've been doing it for about a year and a half and we've probably installed seven of them. I didn't have any problem with their local people. They're nothing but helpful and they warrantied a heat exchanger when we had an issue, but I had to agree to buy another heater which was no problem. I just had to make sure that whoever I go with that they're going to stand by if they have failures. But everything's fine and people should try Jandy. Especially because of the footprint. You can get them in a small place. I'm very satisfied with the heaters that we've installed and would recommend them.

I had an old propane heater that was on its last legs. I also had intended to purchase a heat pump all along because the pool temperature sometimes get up to 92 in the summer where I live in West Palm beach and it's not refreshing anymore. I heard from my neighbor about the heat pumps and then doing some research online, I discovered that there's a model that both heats in the winter and cools in the summer. I talked to my pool guy and he strongly recommended the Jandy Pro Series and said that all the rest were garbage. They did a simple choice so I purchased it and he installed. I bought the Jandy heat pump from a place called In Your Pools, which is up north in Florida. They packed it up, shipped it and it was here in about a week or so. It was installed over the weekend, about two months ago and it has been performing okay.

The heat pump is working great. It takes some getting used to because it takes a little longer to get the heat rise obviously since it is not a heater. But once it's up, especially right now around this time of year, it's on for only maybe an hour in the morning, when it first starts to get it up to last two degrees. What I got is a special model that's floored and it's set up to not only do the heating and the cooling, but it's also apparently ruggedized for weather conditions in Florida and the humidity. As far as I can see, the price I got it for online was actually reasonable. Heat pumps are maybe a third or more than a regular heater, but that doesn't count for the cost of the propane that the old one sucked. Even my neighbor even switched from propane to natural gas on her heater, and even that didn't save her much money with her grandkids coming all the time. So she finally switched over to a heat pump about a year or two ago.

All the rest of my equipment is Jandy. In fact I had to get a new pump about year ago and the same guys who got the pump installed it, or they bought it and installed it, and that one's been working fine. Jandy is a good established company, and they have good quality equipment and good price. They're efficient and they maintain well according to my pool guys, which was pretty much all I needed to know.

I purchased the JXi 400 pool heaters from Jandy. All I did was to write a check, and then the heaters were shipped to the pool company who installed everything. We barely used the pool and the heaters were fine, and the only reason we needed these was that our two pool heaters got stolen. We just moved into that house a few months ago and someone stole the brand new one about two days before we moved. Then about a month later, they stole the other new one, and a week and a half after that, they came back and tried to get the next new one. So, we fixed that. I've had a Jandy at the house we moved at and at our previous house, so I've had Jandy for almost 20 years, and they're fantastic. It seems like all heaters are just expensive, but if I don't have to ever have a problem with it, then it's a fine price and I was willing to pay it because it's Jandy.

We were redoing our house and we decided that we would redo our pool as well. We wanted to change from an electric heater for the pool to a gas heater. And in the process, we decided to go with Jandy. I did some research and Jandy seemed like the right product so I looked online for someone that sold them around our area. The company I bought it from took care of signing up for the warranty and they installed it too. I didn’t have anybody else do it. Not even my pool guy. I’m not going to save money doing that but I was told not to because then the warranty gets voided.

It has been installed for two months now and it is perfect. We are very happy with the heating. It heats my pool up in less than 12 hours. My electric one took days to heat up. On the first day that I used it, I turned it on and set it at like 89. It went up almost eight degrees in four hours with a 65-degree temperature outside and it’s a good size pool. As for the pump's quality, so far, so good. If it’s still working five years from now, I could tell it is excellent. Overall, I would recommend Jandy and advise other people to get the pool heater if they have gas because the kids can swim.

I've been with Jandy for four years and the motherboard inside the box went out. I'm getting to the point where since it's been four years, things were going to start going wrong and my warranty was up. The first thing to go was the motherboard and I got lucky because that was a week away from the warranty. Some third party contractor came out and replaced the motherboard for free then they charged Jandy later on for their services. It's fixed now.

But my issue is the cell system is getting really screwed up error codes. I went out yesterday and cleaned my pool including the cell. I put it in the acid and cleaned all the calcium off. I was doing what I’m supposed to do but I was I'm still getting the error code. In order for me to fix that, I had to look online and troubleshoot it. I pinged the cell out. It's a pain in the butt because I've called Jandy before and it’s really hard to reach them. I'm getting to point now that I'm calling to have somebody out here and it's going to cost me probably a couple of hundred bucks. I'd probably be told that I just have to switch this, I have to pull this part this off or I have to replace that.

The thing about Jandy is I have to Google search a lot of solutions for these problems because other people have the same problems, but that's really no remedy to fix something. When I call the 800 number, they say going to say we need to have a service. But what Jandy really needs to do is reach out and train for free pool service people how to use their machines because it's very hard to find a random pool cleaner. They are very intimidated by Jandy stuff. Those actions would help everybody. It would help Jandy sell more products and it would help these guys clean pools better. They'd get more customers.

Jandy is a good product it's just the support’s not there. Everyone is polite and everybody is focused on apologizing and telling me that they're empathetic of the problem. They can apologize and be empathetic all day but if they don't solve my problem or help me solve my problem, I don't care. They can call me a jerk to my face, but as long as they solve my problem, I'm happy. It seems like there is more concern with treating the customer with respect and talking nicely to them and I get it. It's the customer service strategy. But if they're not helping, then it's just lip service.

We didn't know anything about pools and pumps and products because we had our pool built in the backyard. And although I'd still make others go to Jandy as they're in the industry standard, they should still do a lot of research cause we didn't. There might be something, they might be the perfect one or they might not be for them.

I have a Jandy pool and I extended my Jandy product line by getting an upgrade on my pool equipment controller from them. It was installed by a pool professional, and it seems to be working fine and it does its job. It was fairly priced for the quality. I got some quotes from various people, and they recommended that the most cost-effective solution was to use the software upgrade to our system. It's called the iAquaLink, which is a web-based interface, so I'm able to control my pool through my iPhone, which is convenient. It also helps me to save money because I'm working with some Pentair equipment pump, so I'm able to customize the cleaning times. I run our pump more often during the hotter months and then, I dial it back during the cooler months. So, my electric bill will probably be better.

I had to call the customer service team at Jandy a few times for them to troubleshoot a few things, and they were pretty helpful. They have resolved an issue that I was having. And, also, they had to do something on their end to make sure all the functionality of my pool colored lights worked right. I could have possibly gone with a whole Jandy system, but it seems like pool professionals like to mix and match. They all seem to have a preference towards certain components. The people I worked with seemed to be in favor of Pentair pumps, filters, and heaters, but they liked the Jandy controller. I'm very satisfied with Jandy, and I was pretty pleased with the software and the controller. I inherited my pool, and I know there's a lot of good pool equipment providers. But Jandy is definitely on par and people could consider them for their software, controller, or pool equipment.

The new equipment needed a new meter, and when the gas company installed it, they had a little rock in the regulator. So every time the gas flows, the rock blocked it. Our old Jandy filter and the new one did not jive so I also had to purchase the spider thing where you go to back wash and so on. Their prices are a little steep but that’s what I needed so I got them. And the Jandy products are doing wonderfully.

I got multiple bids, and one guy from MB Pools said he could get the Jandy pool equipment and I’d buy it through his company. He said that I may have to pay a bit more but I’ll get better service so I did that. I paid maybe $1000 more than what I should have paid, but I’m pretty happy with the way he installed it as he was professional. But it could have been a better experience because I had an initial problem. When the water was coming out of the pool and going to the Jandy filter process, it made a noise, so I called MB Pools. The guy there said they couldn’t fix my problem and that I should call Jandy because they’re not authorized for Jandy yet, even though he told me they were.

It was one of those experiences where I thought I was going to get more, and so I fixed it myself. The heater has been running fine since it was installed. It heats my hot tub which seats 12 in about 20 minutes to about 103 degrees, so it’s really good. I expected from Jandy something that had more metal parts because it’s light and about 40 pounds. They’re all plastic and it’s not like they used to make them where they were more quality built. I had a unit that was all metal and it was heavy and it wouldn’t blow. With the Jandy, when the strong wind blows, it kind of moves from the little bricks and could potentially break the seal on the two products. But that’s not really worrying right now.

It doesn’t leak gas and it works great. I like the LCD display, but it’s really expensive. The Jandy products cost $2100. Some of these other companies that they compete with, you buy their pool and spa heater and you get the installation free which is $1000. The Jandy product is great but it’s overpriced and not worth the money that you pay. I would recommend them if there’s nothing else out there that’s even better.

We were redoing our pool and Jandy Pro Series came recommended by the pool guy. I had a fairly new motor so he put in a new filter. I had an undersized single cartridge type filter to begin with, so the new one definitely holds up and it’s been nice that it works a little bit better than that. And I don’t have to clean it as longer. Also, a branch fell on the thing during the hurricane and the pool guy got the replacement parts quick. I’ve had the products for about four months now and all has been good so far.

The Jandy Pro sales rep explained to me the features of their unit that made it good. It's self-enclosed so that you had fewer issues with rodents and things like that getting in. It also has a valve that prevents water from getting in. It's a lot faster than my old heater. However, it stopped working and they had to replace something in it. Their technician even had to order parts so it was out of service for two weeks. It works well overall but I would definitely be unhappy if it breaks down again.

I placed a call to Jandy Pro Series two months ago and installed a variable speed pump by Pentair. I also replaced the home automation board a year and a half ago. I replaced the existing Jandy equipment but I did not want to complicate things so I kept Jandy as the vendor. The quality is good and the pool is performing fine since the installation.

My experience in the setup of the original board was very easy. The internet application leaves a bit to be desired because of the very old style interface. The people were helpful and customer service treated me well. But their knowledge was mixed and I struggled to get the new variable speed pump set up and working adequately. I explained the configuration and they connected remotely into my system through my account. They also struggled to get it working and I finally just reset the system. I had to go through the complete set up again and got it functioning. It took a few calls with Jandy to figure out what I needed to look at. Customer service was friendly and willing to help but the people I talked to needed support.

Overall I would recommend and stick with Jandy. The equipment is expensive but I'm a techie guy and I like the automation and the convenience and some of the capability it allows. Everything that I wanted to do I can do but as homes become more automated and the internet becomes more pervasive, Jandy has to step up their game for a consumer to be with them for the next five to eight years. I'd love to talk to their product people and tell them some features that I would love to see.

It’s good that it has its own saltwater system so I don't have to put in the liquid anymore. I asked the reps one time some questions on it and they mentioned to me that I needed to get the person who installed the pool to get a person in there to fix it. Overall, Jandy Pro hasn't failed me yet and I’d recommend them.

I had a Hayward pump that was only about four years old and it fell. I had my pool guy come out and I was looking for automation. We made the decision to purchase a Jandy pump to get the automation. My pool guy installed it. He called Jandy a few times to get some assistance and clarification in configuring it and setting it up. He installed it in just a few hours and everything works very well, except that he became MIA. And he was supposed to get my heater to work with the app. I'm going to call technical support and see if they can walk me through setting it up.

I don't like the app which I think is marginal at best. It is very convoluted and not very pleasant to look at. It's also not very easy to maneuver. It's not easy to change settings, rename things, and change timers. But the pump itself works great. So far, I love it and I'm very satisfied. As long as it lasts five-six years, I'll be happy. I also purchased other Jandy products such as the flappers and the seals. They don't last as long as I wish, but they last a year and a half to two years. And then, you're going to buy another one for 30 bucks.

I had a Hayward Super Pump. I made sure by reading the reviews and liked Jandy Pro, and then we decided to purchase this one. I saved a few hundred dollars by buying it myself and I just let them install it.

I do my own weekly maintenance - I open it up, clean it and let it go. I only call pool guys if there is some kind of issue, like if something is broken and I cannot fix it myself. The pump is really well-made and it works very quietly compared to the product that I had before. The name Jandy Pro is good and speaks for itself, and the pool and the pump are working fine. We have two Jandy pumps and I have constant headaches with them. The lid starts leaking and had to be replaced, but now it’s getting air into it again. The pumps work fine but they leak and it’s difficult to take it apart and put lube on the orange part of the lid. We had the older version of the pumps and the new one was so expensive so that piece has been disappointing. The other equipment, the heater, was working okay but the whole copper inside was all rusted and then it started leaking profusely. We called customer service when the heater went bad and they told us that it's out of warranty and there was nothing they could do. We had to get a second one in and this is the second heater that we have. We had a tough time registering online but the new heater has been working well and it has been good for us. We contacted a store, they shipped the product to us and then we had a pool expert come in and had it installed for us.

We always have our products installed by a professional and the installation process is very straightforward. We use local experts that are referred to us by local pool stores. They're expensive but they do a good job. When we bought the house, the person who we bought it from trained us on how to maintain, do the water checks and do the adding of the chlorine, so we do the maintenance ourselves. The quality of the products that we purchased from Jandy was not very impressive for the price we pay and for the name we hear about Jandy. We've put a lot of money with them, yet the experience has been average. It's sad that the Jandy pool equipment gave us many more headaches much sooner than all the other stuff that we have in our house. Some things work well and some things don't.

We have a pool with no heater and I wanted to extend my swimming a few months out of the year. Since we’re putting in a house generator, it would be more efficient to get a gas heater propane. We have a 500-gallon propane in the ground so it heats up faster and it would use less electric than propane. In Florida, it will be more cost-efficient than a gas heater and the size also mattered. I needed it small and the electrics are so big. I researched a lot of and went into Pinch A Penny. They sell Jandy water heater there so I purchased through them. We did the installation ourselves and it was easy. We have to redo everything since we bought a new pump as well. A variable speed pump which we also researched but it was not from Jandy. We had to redo all of the plumbing to get it on the pad. We ripped everything out and put everything in new.

We love the pool heater we bought from Jandy. The quality of the water heater is very good. We put in a Sacrificial Anode since we have a falls water and we wanted to protect it as much as we could from the falls generator that comes on after. The Sacrificial Anode is in before the process. We put a bypass in it as well. We ran a bypass for it so that when we're not running it, we could bypass and then it backs itself. The heater was reasonable in price compared to some of the others I saw and it's been three months since it was installed. It takes about 15 minutes to heat from 82 to 85 degrees. It was perfect and still warm. Overall, it was an outstanding experience with Jandy and I would recommend them to anybody.

My pool equipment was 10 years old so the pumps were starting to go out and I had to buy replacements. I bought the pumps through a dealer of Jandy and the pool professional installed the two pipes and some wires. About three weeks ago, one of the pumps went out pretty quickly. It was a three horsepower, which is more than enough, but the actual pump part that creates deflection was defective.

There was a problem with contacting the place that I bought the pump from which is Pool IQ. They wanted me to contact Jandy but I didn't know what the exact problem is so then Jandy wanted to talk to my pool guy. It was a phone contacting for a while and they want to just replace the pump part instead of the whole pump. But I didn't want just the part since I spent 900 bucks for a new pump and now it's defective. That part was a pain in the butt. We were going in circles. There was no finding the bottom line person that would say that they're going to do this.

It took a couple of weeks to get the pump. That was a problem since I have a house that's on the lake with the pool and I rent it sometimes on Vacation Rental By Owners. I had people there that were renting the house and the pump had gone out and so I had to scramble and find a replacement pump to get it by while people were there. Otherwise, I could've lost a couple of grand on my rental. Jandy finally replaced it with a brand new pump so it was okay and everything is fine.

    Original Review: Oct. 16, 2017

Based on the reviews, Jandy Pro is the most efficient so I chose to buy the pump, the AquaLink, and the motherboard from them. The products were good upfront. The pump costs $1,600. I expect some savings so it's working fine pumping water and I saw a 20% increase in my electricity which was great. The motherboard might have been some third company product but it just connects all the electronics together. But the AquaLink was not a good product. I've had it replaced already but it goes down everyday and it's so inconsistent. The pool guy was frustrated as he came out 11 times because I complained it to him when he installed it and it's not working. It keeps getting disconnected from the internet so he returned it and bought a new one. The remote and app that they set up were not there and it cost a lot of money.

I was on the verge of having the pool guy pick it up and just thrash it because it's ruining the whole pool experience. It's either they're using old technology or whatever but it's not being connected to the internet even though I've purchased and tried two different top of the line routers to test which one works. The pool guy and I called customer service and I've stayed on the phone with them. I went through with the first person the whole process of calling and explain what the problem was but they can't resolve it and they needed to connect me to someone else. Then I spent another half an hour explaining to them and doing the same test steps that the previous help tried to do but they would only get nowhere. Then they blame on the internet provider and the modem. The problem was I haven't had any of my whole house connected so there were no other products except their AquaLink so I know there's nothing wrong with my internet provider.

It has to do something with their product where there is no technology so the customer service had been terrible. Jandy Pro has a return policy for three months and it’s terrible as well. It cost me $3000 and if I spent thousand dollars, I want a little better than that. They provide this short term, crappy warranty because they have a high rate failure and didn’t want everyone lining up. It took me a couple of months just to have it set up after I've purchased it, and I had to schedule and write all that stuff so the warranty was not sufficient. At the minimum, it should be a year. It's an expensive upgrade and the company doesn’t stand by its product. They just sell and don't want to accept them.

The parts were also hard to get and the system was outdated. I couldn’t see putting good money into that old system because I wasn’t sure the controllers were still working properly.

I wanted to do a little bit of homework on what system I really wanted when my friend said that he got Zodiac and it was recommended from another person. I'm very impressed with the Jandy product and I appreciate the service that I've received from them. However, the lights they have put in the pool have failed eight times in two years. It’s like if I have them on purple all are purple but one, that one might be white or green. Initially, the one who troubleshooted the problem was the pool service company that I was dealing with. It went on for about a year and then I got to a point that they began just calling Jandy to come out. The gentleman from Jandy knows what needs to be done and they're in and out. I didn't even know they were there, and then the lights would all become the same color again.

The pool lights that I have are not a Jandy product. They were from a company that they have bought. They've been very responsive, technicians have come out in a timely manner and replaced the light but I just don't think that the lights are at a level that Jandy would appreciate to have the problems that they're having. Other than that, I'm very pleased and have had no issues with the Jandy products that I have—the chlorinator, the pumps, and the heater. Jandy has a good name in the pool industry.

The guy who services my pool purchased a filter from Jandy. It's very good and better than the DH Filter that I had. It's easier to take care of. It was a little expensive at $800, but it was a good move. However, when he picked up the product to bring here to install it, there was an item missing out of the sealed box so it took another day or two days after that to get the rest of the product. So, it was four days without a circulation and it greened my pool. It cost me another $100 to get the pool cleaned. Jandy needs to have quality checked when they box stuff a little bit better because that's a costly expense for a homeowner on the delay. I'm surprised Jandy didn't get in touch me about this issue because I said something to them, and I never heard back from them. Also, my pool guy told me that I wouldn't have to clean it as much as the DH Filter, but it seems like I have to clean it once every week and a half now.

We’ve had problems with our Jandy Pro Series salt water pool system. It’s very frustrating because it doesn’t work. We have a pool service and they have to keep on dumping chlorine in. We called the pool people and they said that Jandy has had problems with this unit. We can’t get anybody out of Miami or wherever there’s a district office, to come down in the Keys and look at it. It’s supposed to be under warranty but nobody services it. It's terrible.

Our pool professional recommended Jandy Pro Series. We had a big remodel and the contractor came over and went over the whole thing with me. It wasn't something that I wanted but he said I'd really want it. It's working fine, seems to be great, and I'm glad that we got it. It's convenient and we can turn the stuff on from our phone, like when we've been out to dinner and we turn it on when we go home.

This pool heater is the first item I got from Jandy Pro Series and it's been great. It's super easy to use, just lift up the cover, and press the button up and down. I live in South Florida, but we're all spoiled in my family so if it's anything below 89 degrees, we can't get in the water, and it's helped in that regard.

Jandy Pro's customer service was okay but was a little frustrating at times. I've gone to three or four different pool supply stores in our area and the product I needed was not something I could find locally and they had to order it. The manual that came with my saltwater system was not explicit on the exact make and model of what I needed to order. And when I called Jandy Pro Series, I had so many difficulties tying out the exact make and model I needed to order.

I asked the customer service person if I could order it through them and he said I have to get it through a retailer. I told him that the retailers in my area don't care and they've been confused about the model number. He said I could order online from the supplier but was unable to recommend one where I could be confident of getting exactly the right make and model that I need. I felt like I was taking a chance that I might not get the right exact part but it ended up being the correct part. I just installed the part and it's been good. We like the saltwater system on our pool.

We did a redo on the pool and our guy at Hollandia recommended that we get the Jandy Pro Series cartridge filter. They undersold it. They said it was going to be really great and that I only have to clean it very seldom. And I’ve been amazed at how clean it keeps the pool which is an 18 by 36 so it’s a big one. The filter’s absolutely incredible. There's no backwashing. In fact, I would recommend it to anybody else. If they want to change anything, the filter would be the thing to do. It works really well. The only thing was I didn’t get a manual. It’s all online in a PDF form, but it would’ve been nice to have a hard copy.

Last year, I purchased a filter, a saltwater generator, and a pump and I got it all installed when I got my new pool. Everybody offered us different equipment. Paradise Pools uses Jandy and they said Jandy has good equipment and that they've never had a problem. They also have good customer relations with them. I had an issue with the salt generator where the flow center was not working. I called Jandy's tech support once and they were really helpful over the phone. I had a question on how to set the salt level and they told me that if the sensor changes again then it is bad. I called Paradise Pools and they sent a guy out who swapped out the sensor and everything's been good so far. Other than the salt generator issue, Jandy has exceptional equipment.

We did a renovation project on our existing pool and replaced all the pool equipment. I've known Jandy Pro Series to be a quality manufacturer and the contractor recommended them. I had a pool professional install a heater, variable speed pool pump, iAquaLink controller and the TruClear Saltwater Chlorinator system. Setup was tough on the iAquaLink in the beginning but once I got through the learning curve, it's very user-friendly. I also had issues trying to get the equipment registered for warranty purposes and their customer service representative was able to help me on the spot. Jandy Pro Series products are great and are top of the line. They're up-to-date and have more reliability. Jandy stands behind their product and have definitely the products to choose.

The person who comes to service our swimming pool purchased a heater, a pump and the remote from Jandy previously and installed it. It was working and I was happy with our purchase, but then, one day, my heater caught fire and there were flames shooting out of it. So we had to purchase a new heater and our service guy got it from Jandy again. But I’d like to see my pool equipment run without catching fire. It’s pretty plain.

We're happy with the system we got from Jandy. The people who installed our pool put it there. And they said other companies go cheaper but they would recommend Jandy. It's been two years since it was installed, so I hope that nothing would break down. We had to replace the inside filters but other than that, we had no trouble with it. The system is working fine for us. And my husband maintains the system in the pool and for him, everything is working well.

The customer service reps from Jandy Pro Series were very friendly and knowledgeable. I got the heater, salt system, pump, and the color-changing lights and I love the installation experience. However, they're expensive. Also, I called them because the pump is noisy, and they said that maybe, it's the model. We've had it going for a year and so far, the quality is good, and I'm hoping it will be good for ten years. I would recommend them.

We had to get a new light kit as well because our light kit was 20 years old and needed to be replaced. My experience with their filter system has been horrible! I have replaced every part of the filter in 5 years. The salt cell, the pump, the tank, and the heater is still not working after two attempts to fix it. Same error message each time, it works for half hour and then the same error message appears. Now the filter tank which was replaced a year or so ago is leaking again. They said a week for the warranty replacement and we are going on two weeks. Losing about two inches of water a day if I run the filter. Now the pool is green and has/will cost me more than had I just bought a new tank. I would NEVER buy a pool with a Jandy filter system again.
