The salt cell leaks from the sight glass lid we have replaced the o ring and lubed the seal. It does not leak from the seal. It leaks from the sight glass lid. There is no gasket for this area. The system is less than two years old and no Resolution.

Jandy/Zodiac customer service agent said he is unable to help a homeowner test or reset the indoor controller. Like a thermostat, the controller is 24 volts (that is, harmless). Jandy cited "liability concerns." I asked Jandy to tell me what newer model I could purchase in the event that the controller has gone bad. They told me they could not do that either. They told me to speak with my local pool service technician. Jandy could not provide a list of any such technician in Miami, FL. All matter of fact, and absurd. I will find what I need from Hayward or some manufacturer that offers customer service.
Hi david daniel,
We apologize for the issues you are having with your Jandy controller. We will have a technical support representative reach out to you. Thank you for your patience.

The buying experience with Jandy was fine and the big thing about the pump is that it’s quiet. I had Hayward and it was so loud that the guy next door said he would buy me a new pump if I just get rid of it. He went to Denmark and he’s gonna be surprised when he gets back.
Hello Donald,
We are happy to hear that you and your neighbor will enjoy the quiet operation of your new pump.
Happy Swimming!

My pool pump died and I purchased the Jandy pump 101 medium HP FloPro. The professional installed it, and it was super easy. It has been performing exactly the way it should. It was not cheap, but the quality of the product is good.
Hello Ash,

I’m 100% satisfied with the pump that I got from Jandy. I had no problems when I purchased it and since I had it installed, its performance has been good. I like it. Ironically, we just had another one installed at my parent’s house yesterday. They’ve a home next to mine and they got the one horsepower.
Hello Michelle,
We are happy to hear that you and your family are enjoying the performance of your new pumps.

I bought a house and its pool is really old. I couldn’t even clean it. So, I had to hire a pool cleaning service and they said that the pump I got needed to be replaced. A couple of days after they said that, the thing pretty much crapped out. They recommended Jandy, and then they installed the pump that I have. It is working very well.
Hello AJ,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

The pool pump from Jandy is fine. One of our neighbors said, “Well, it used to be so damn loud," and then they said, “We can’t hear it now.” For 35 years, we had the same company servicing us. When we decided, we went to area pool stores and asked questions and asked for prices. Then we started calling pool companies who service pools. Ironically, the company that services our well originally got their start doing pools, and so they knew all about it. We were thinking of getting a different equipment, and they said, “No, you do not want to get that equipment here. You want to get this equipment,” suggesting Jandy Pro Series. They said that its warranty is so much better.
One of them called and asked me, “Now, is everything okay?” He wanted to make sure that we were happy and everything was fine. Our pool guy said, “Man, you can really tell you got a better pool pump on here than you’ve had for 10 years. One, there is not as many bugs on there. And two, your filter getting dirty quickly." Also, the jets were like blowing through a soda straw before. Now, we got the whole blender going. It is so warm and it is so strong that it makes my back feel better. We are really happy with our pool pump. I'm now trying to watch the electric bill because it is supposed to cut back on the electric, too. We have already recommended it.
Hello Jan,
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you're enjoying the quiet operation of your new pump.

We have a pool and the previous Jandy salt generator wasn’t working so we purchased a new one from them. But now there’s a problem with the code with high salinity, and the pool guy said it’s a board issue. My wife has been going back and forth with Jandy’s customer service. I called once myself when I was trying to figure out what the code was and recalibrating it, and the woman on the phone was very, very helpful. She e-mailed me some instructions, and that experience was fine. The customer service was good but I'm not loving the product itself at the moment. Hopefully, Jandy will honor it and send me a new board so I can get my salt generator fixed.
Hello Mr. Senior-Mcgowan,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you've experienced issues with your salt generator and we will have a technical support research your account and reach out to you.

Very good. Can anyone tell me at what RPM I have to run my pump at in order to prevent the heater from cutting out. My experience with the new heater is that under about 2400 RPM, it doesn’t come on. Is that about normal?
Hello Mike,
Thank you for your feedback. We will have a technical support representative reach out to you.

My pool guy talked me into getting an automated system because I did not have one. So I got Jandy and it works well. It's easy. It’s not what you’d call a cheap system but if you wanna get something that’s pretty good, I guess you'd have to pay the number. And Jandy is worth the investment.
Hello Don,
Welcome to the Jandy family, and thank you for your feedback.

My pool company got Jandy salt generator around ten years ago when we first put the pool in. That first one lasted around four years. I bought one offline and installed it myself. I used the same wiring that the old one had so I didn't have to go and rewire it. But the unit only worked for a little over two years. I was not very happy with that. They should last around five years.
I had to buy another one and this time, a technician came, rewired it and put the new thing in. But somehow, he burned up my board. I had to have another Jandy-certified guy come out here. They were good guys though. The first guy was just a little over his head. We had the board replaced and the second guy fixed it all. He also trained some kids on how to do it while he was here. All in all, my experience with Jandy has been easy. It does't take a rocket scientist to do all this. I've learned a lot about how to do things.
Hello Kevin,
We appreciate your feedback and we're happy to hear that your issues have been resolved.

My purchasing experience with Jandy was pretty simple. I ordered the PDA-PS4 online and it showed up. Then I followed the instructions and set it up. I just had to take the cover off the control module and then push the button. It was pretty simple. After that, it kinda synched up and did its own thing. And it has been controlling my pool fine. It's a pricey little item but it’s basically the digital pool controller. So I can sit in my house and turn on my hot tub, my heater or the Polaris, which is the pool cleaner. I can do pretty much anything I want from inside the house or sitting next to the pool. The program must have been saved inside the actual control module too. Once I synched it up, when I wanted my pool to run and cut off were already in there.
Hello Wesley,
Thank you for your feedback. We are excited to hear that you're enjoying the ease of controlling your pool functions from your new PDA-PS4.
Happy Swimming,
Jandy
I've used Jandy for the last 10 years. This time, I was just replacing a salt cell and it went great. Purchasing it was easy then I had it installed by a pool professional who was a very nice guy. Since then, the unit has been performing wonderfully.
Hello Barbara,
Thank you for your feedback.
All the Best,
Jandy
It was a fine experience buying the Jandy Pro pump and the pool professional who sold it to me installed it. It had to be reconfigured. Since then, we haven't had any problems with it.
My Jandy pump developed a whine and when I went to the installer, they suggested that I register some sort of a ticket with Jandy, so that if something happened with it, then at least it’d be on record. I was told that I'm gonna have to deal with Barefoot Pools in Lake Worth. Ultimately, after a few times with the Jandy folks, I come to find out that Barefoot Pools only warranties those that they install, and that’s the reason they’re not listed as a Jandy warranty provider. So, it’s a bit confusing to the consumer, at worst aggravating.
I am having a little buyer’s remorse over the whole thing and I’m sorry I didn’t go with the Hayward option. There’s a defect in the way that Jandy handles warranty notifications or services and they need to clarify that with the pool distributor. Where do I get warranty service if I need it? If you call Jandy and they say not the place you bought it because they’re not Jandy authorized warranty repair, I've learned that’s not really the case. It's just Jandy does not recognize them to even customers when you provide that information.
So, now, my whine is kind of intermittent and it’s not for very long. They said maybe it's the seal between the pump and the motor, and maybe it’ll be okay. So, right now, we’re kinda waiting to see what happens, if it’s gonna blow up or cause some sort of a catastrophic failure either in the pump or the motor. At the moment, my pump seems to be working without any issues. I also don't think it’s a serious problem but it was enough that I thought I better let somebody know about it.
Hello Mikel,

We identified the problem on Friday and we had the Jandy pump installed and running by Monday afternoon. The company that services our pool handled all of that for us so it was very easy. We had also looked at prices, anticipating that this might happen, and pumps were about the same cost as Jandy. We've been using the Jandy pump for two weeks now and so far, it’s working out great. Jandy was good.
We were contacted by a representative and the issue resolved quickly. It is nice to know that there are companies out there who truly care about their customers. Thank you Jandy/Zodiac!!!!!
We were a little bit disappointed that the pool pump didn't last very long. It was a little bit expensive considering that it only lasted four years but it’s more the inconvenience of having to pay somebody to put it back in. I called up Pioneer, who installed all the equipment and they said that if I find the pool pump somewhere, their guy will put it in as soon as possible. We had absolutely no problem finding the Jandy pump, which made me happy because it was 95 degrees that week. Pioneer had three of them in stock, and I went and got it. The purchasing experience was great but it was going to take a week before they could put it in. So, I had to find my own guy. We purchased the exact same pump as what was there so, it was easy to swap one out and put the next one in. Once we replaced the pump, it's wonderful.
Hello Gloria,
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry you experienced issues with your Jandy Pump, and we will have a Reputation Management Administrator reach out to you.

We had a new pool installed a few years ago. We paid a small fortune...a loan I'll be paying off for years to come. Unfortunately, the contractor used Zodiac / Jandy products. Our salt cell has broken 4 times. Zodiac replaced the part a few times, one time completely screwing up my pool filtration system for weeks, but they eventually stopped warranting the product...even though they continued to fail under normal use.
Now, I do understand that a warranty eventually expires but when your product breaks down FOUR TIMES and not once does it last for a single year then I think you have a FAULTY PRODUCT. If anyone else has had issues with the APURE35 Aquapure Salt Cell, you should chime in. I can't imagine that I just got a bad one EVERY TIME. I seriously think this could be a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. Thank you Bernardo **, Territory Service Manager for being completely unhelpful! Bill, the previous representative for Zodiac was much more accommodating.
My Jandy pump is working great so far. When I purchased it, I had a very good experience with the people that I bought it from, Pinch A Penny. They explained it very well and told me some pros and cons of different types of pumps and helped me make that decision. I was happy. I installed it myself and I’m an engineer, so for me, it was a piece of cake. But I don’t think it even requires an engineer. Also, there were cheaper products out there, but Jandy has a good reputation and that was important to me.
Updated on 08/21/2019: Like I said in my first review I got one year out of the Jandy Pro series heater. I got a response from Jandy, it was go back to the installer. Typical bounce the consumer around by pointing the finger elsewhere. It was their product that lasted one stinking year, not the installers fault. Stand behind your product Jandy....
Original Review: Bought the Heater last May 2018. No problems last year. We opened our pool in May of 2019 and middle of June the heater was leaking. We called Colley’s Pools (the installer), they said our water chemistry ate through the copper and that's why it was leaking. We needed a new heater. Called Jandy. Got no satisfaction. I need to add that our pool water never looked so good when we opened the pool. All we did was add chlorine, where the acid came from that would eat through the copper we have no idea..."Acid Rain???" Anyway we are out $3,000.
Hello Jerry,
We are sorry to hear that you experienced water chemistry damage to your heater. Please reach out to Colley's Pools for further assistance.

This product stop working after three years of being used. I only get three color and the output of the colors are poor. I will need to replace at the cost of 350 per light and labor. The part that gets me is that we only use the pool light about maybe 30 hours total. Poor product and now we know why there is only an one year warranty. Do not buy this product. You will not be happy in two - three years!

I read what Jandy Pro have been doing on the internet and they looked fine. At the moment, I have several parts that are Jandy. I have the pump, the chlorinator, and the automation. Purchasing from them was a good experience and the quality of the equipment that I got is awesome. Their products have also made my pool maintenance easier and convenient.
I recently had a pump replaced and Jandy Pro's product was what the pool folks had available, so that was what I got. It’s three months old now and it's been performing well. But it was a little expensive.
We built our pool a few years ago and our installers used Jandy then I would do part replacements myself. With Jandy, the mechanical parts are fine. They're easy to replace. But the whole control panel is a really weird old system and the programming part is difficult. It's kinda buggy. The performance isn't consistent. Then in terms of support, I also feel like I'm on my own. But for the most part, the control panel works.
Our salt cell also went bad and needed to be replaced. I added on the things with which you could control the pool via your phone, and it just stopped working. So we went back to this other PDA module we have. It's a handheld thing that's really buggy and frustrating to use. It's just the nature of how it's built. It communicates over the serial bus and there's no way to make it better. Jandy would have to re-architect the whole way of how they constructed their computer boards. But my understanding is almost all pool products are frustrating.

Our pool contractor recommended Jandy Pro Series. And my husband's also familiar with it. He works in construction, so we knew that it is a good product going in. We've had no issues with the product. Everything seems to be functioning properly. It's only been six months now, but we're happy with it. And as far as what we paid, it seemed to be a fair price. I had some issues entering my warranty information, and I had to contact Jandy, and I was able to get it resolved. Their rep was very professional, and he was able to help me. I had missed something, so he was able to point me in the right direction.
The pump we purchased from Jandy Pro Series is working fine and it's doing its job. My old pump went bad, and I went and bought a new one. I installed it myself and it was easy. It's also of good quality. And while I'd like to see the cost cheaper, it’s reasonable.
We bought the house last September and I kept my pool open all winter. My pump was fine but it ran at high RPMs all the time. It was killing my electric bill so I wanted a variable speed and I bought a pump from Jandy. I used Pool Solutions in Rock Hill for the installation and they were great. The rep was totally professional and it took one day. Since then, the pump has been outstanding. I use it every day. So far, the experience with Jandy has been good. I’m happy with it.
I wanted to replace the pool pump I had because it burned out and the pool maintenance person bought from Jandy. The quality seems to be fine although it was a little on the pricier side. We’ll see how long it works.
My old pump had gone bad. I asked my salesman which pumps he would recommend and he put in this pump from Jandy Pro. Since having the new pump installed, the pool has been smooth-running and it doesn’t leak. Jandy Pro's product is a larger-sized motor than my last one was and it has been performing very well. I got what I paid for and I would tell a friend to make the purchase with Jandy Pro.
Jandy Pro was recommended by a pool professional. I bought a pump that replaced a failed one. It's a good value and it seems to be going good, overall.
