I have a Jandy LRZ 175 pool heater. It has been very problematic!!!!! Always throwing fuselink rollout and upper vent. I just replaced universal power board and both fuselinks, and cannot clear fuselink fault error. Both fuselinks and wiring for fuselinks test good for continuity, yet it still shows "fuselink Fault". Both fuselinks are OEM proper parts, and so is the universal power circuit board. WILL NOT BUY OR RECOMMEND A JANDY LRZ pool heater.

Subject: Jandy Does Not Honor Its Warranty. I got my Jandy pool heater #JXi200NK through my pool service company. The heater was less than three years old when it started leaking and stopped working, and it was still under warranty. Jandy refused to honor the warranty, however, because they claimed that the heater had excess "buildup" in the pipes and the pool was not properly serviced. My pool service company did WEEKLY SERVICE for the entire time that I had the heater, and this was documented with normal pH, chlorine and alkalinity levels without any evidence of a problem. The company blamed erosion of the pool plaster for the heater problem, but everyone who has looked at the pool says that the plaster looks OK. I am not sure who to believe in this situation, but one thing is clear: Jandy does not honor its warranty, and I will never buy another Jandy product. Buyer beware!

Do Not Buy Jandy Pool Systems – A Constant Connectivity Nightmare. I’ve been battling this system for four years, and it remains my single biggest regret when it comes to home upgrades. The Jandy system routinely loses connectivity, and when it does, you’re completely locked out—there is no manual override to operate your pool.

I’ve gone so far as to run a direct hardwired internet connection to the controller, and it still drops out. Once it loses connection, you’re left with zero control—no pump, no heat, no lights, no nothing. Customer service is friendly enough, but ultimately helpless. They’ll walk you through basic troubleshooting, but the real issue lies in the system’s poor reliability and flawed design. If you want a pool system you can’t control when it matters most, this is the one to buy. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

My pool installer uses all Jandy equipment and installed the Jandy JXi260 Natural Gas pool heater. It worked 2 times and stopped working throwing an error. Installer would not return calls or come look at the heater, just sent text messages suggesting things for us to try. Fast forward 4 months, the heater has not been turned on at all because it errors and now it has flooded my yard. Jandy tech remove heat exchanger that was corroded. Jandy won't respond to me, only the installer and neither are willing to offer suggestions for repairing this heater. Now that I have researched pool heaters I will definitely not waste any more money. Hayward is almost 1/2 the price and better rated.

My expensive ($5K) Jandy Pool Heater failed after 1 year and 3 months. Jandy would not honor their warranty because they said, without even seeing the pool heater, that it was due to improper pool chemistry. My pool service has 17 customers in my community, many with the same heater and none of their pool heaters failed. I was informed by the Jandy Rep that they hardly ever honor a warranty and always use the excuse of bad chemistry.

I purchased a Jandy vs flopro variable speed pump. The drive board blew literally 2 months after warranty expired. Just 3 years and 3 months In I now have to spend a grand to purchase and install a new drive. Not only that but customer service takes forever to get a response and was completely uncaring once they found out it was past warranty. Never will I purchase anything from that company again.

Do not buy the Jandy pump with the WiFi controller. It is pure garbage. It has lost connection to our pool and won’t reconnect. We are tech savvy and have tried everything—customer service was not helpful. We have to manually press “timed run” multiple times a day to keep the pump running long enough to keep the pool from being nasty. This is difficult while also working full time. I would never buy this system—or any WiFi only system—again!

My Jandy pool heater is less than a year old. It no longer works and I have been trying to get parts to repair it through my installer for 6 weeks. Honestly I would not recommend this heater. My previous heater ran for 10 years with no issues. I lost my previous heater to Hurricane Ian and thought I was buying a quality replacement. Now in addition to not igniting it has started to leak water. Jandy has not been cooperative with my installer in getting it working or replacing. Please don't believe any of the hype you read in their literature. This is a total piece of junk pool heater.

I have been told by the same pool repair company that did the replacement and Jandy that the lights are now out of warranty so to replace them it will cost me $709.00 for the pool light and $558.00 for the spa light plus $150 labor, THAT'S $1,603 plus tax to replace these lights that only last 2 years at best. These lights are defective and Jandy knows it!!!!

I went to inspect my pool equipment recently and noticed that the wiring leading to my new salt cell was exposed. Upon a quick inspection, it looked like the connection from the new wiring to the salt cell had melted and the side of the cell was charred. After contacting Jandy and having to go through multiple calls to determine if it was covered by warranty, I learned today that it would not be covered. It's good to know that a company will not even have the courtesy to send someone out to evaluate the situation. The salt cell was installed by a licensed technician. I would give zero stars if that was an option.

Purchased a Jandy heater - the next day the heat would start and stop constantly - the inside of the manifold started to melt and pieces of plastic went into the pool and discolored the liner. It took Jandy five weeks to send a representative to repair the unit. They refuse to repair the problem and attribute the problem to bad water chemistry. We all know that is not possible within one day. I had the water tested three days later. It was perfect. The company simply refuses to return phone calls and the "manager" told me to sue them - they have plenty of lawyers. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY JANDY HEATER FOR ANY REASON!!!

They build up scale and eventually cause plastic to crack (either from scale or sun - I live in phx). I've had 3 warranty replacement and they all crack in 2-3 mo. **. Stick with chlorine at least in Phx. Not worth hassle.

Got my pool in 2019 with a Jandy pump and AquaLink remote. Both lasted 4 years. New pumps are at least $2K and the remotes cost about $700. Warranties are worthless, as they know when their products will likely fail. Customer service indicated the remote failures were common and did not seem surprised about the pump breaking. They offered nothing in compensation.

Be very careful when buying any Jandy product or any product made by Fluidra Brands (Polaris, Zodiac, iAqua Link, and a few others). I had installed a Jandy WaterColors Nicheless LED light when my pool was built. This light only lasted 2 years with minimal use. The warranty replacement light again only lasted 2 years with even less use. When I contacted Jandy - Fluidra I was told I will need to purchase another light which is around $1,000 and that my replacement light was not covered under a new warranty, it goes back to the original purchase date. Obviously, they know their products are junk otherwise what company would not stand by their products. If it's my 1st light or my 5th light if the company truly believed they made quality products one would think they would stand by them.

We just purchased a house and found the pool heater to be faulty. I asked the pool company that we contracted to maintain our pool and equipment to address it. They advised that the unit was new and probably still under warranty, so I reached out to Jandy. This is their reply "Warranty is non-transferrable so since you are the second owner, it would not still be within warranty. "

No sorry that there's an issue, or maybe here's the details of a repairer that we recommend, or maybe since it's so new (I think it's less than three months) they'll help. Nope, nothing nada. In my opinion they might have just said ** since it has the same effect. One thing is for sure, if the unit needs to be replaced it will not be with a Jandy product!

We installed a pool in 2017 and the contractor who installed it highly recommended the Jandy Pro Series because of its quality. I am not sure if my original pool contractor would stand behind his statement if he knew what I know now. Since I filled my pool in June of 2017 we have replaced this salt cell twice. That’s 3 cells in 4 years and 4 months. The first was a warranty about a year and half after pool was filled. I just recently in September 2021 had to install and pay for another salt cell at a cost of $615.

I spoke with Dan ** in customer service warranty on November 10, 2021 at Fluidra and he told me it would have been a warranty if I would have contacted them before the new one was installed last month. As I stated to Mr. ** that I reached out to my local Jandy service provider when it stopped working in September. My service provider for Jandy told me that they reached out to the Jandy representative and he said this would not be a warranty since it was past 3 years date of installation. I have had 2 individuals from mechanical engineering firms look at the product failure and tell me that it failed because of the molding process did not seal it correctly.

I purchased and had installed a Jandy Pro Series Model JX1400N pool heater at my home in June of 2020. A few days ago this approximately one year old pool heater completely stopped working. My pool company sent a heater repairman who advised that there is water in the system and, as such, the heater cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced. He also commented, as did I, that it’s both mind-boggling and unacceptable that this very expensive, practically brand new, pool heater would only last for approximately one year. I have since emailed Jandy Customer Support three times without response.

I purchased a Booster Pump and installed a entire Jandy system not more than 3 months later my Booster Pump broke. Texas just had very bad weather and electrical issues and they are saying my Booster Pump broke because of the weather. Sure, I really do not know for sure if it was poor product design or as they say it was the frozen weather.

In either case, I did not request a full refund, I just ask for some type of understanding since I barely bought it 3 months ago and had it installed. All I ask is to work with me, anything, let me get a discount: let me pay for the install - show me some customer loyalty. Instead, "no" was their answer to everything. I now am having to install a new booster pump and will be using PENTAIR going forward for the remaining of my life and anyone who asks. Yes, I'm just one lousy customer, but a lousy customer that will never purchaser anything related to Jandy again. Thank you for reading.

I purchased all new Jandy equipment for my pool 2.5 years ago. Within the first 2 months I had 2 valves go out. Then my salt cell about 1 year later and then my pump a few months later. Now my heater has gone out and they refuse to repair or replace it. They claim it is due to a ph balance issue. First if you are building pool equipment it should be able to handle ph issues. Second my pool maintenance guy keeps a weekly log of all ph levels and my pool has been perfect since the day this equipment was installed. Faulty products and their representatives just try to pass the buck and take 0 responsibility. I would highly recommend spending your money with another company.

I have had several pumps installed in my inground system for about 10 years. Like clockwork, every 2 or so seasons I have to replace at least 1 pump. This year, on start up, one of my 2HP pumps has failed, tripping the circuit breaker. I own an electrical contracting company, so no issue with wiring. Everything is new this year. I have 6 pumps that I have replaced, for which I purchased rebuild kits, and time permitting, I will rebuild them. Motors, however, is not an easy rebuild, other than the bearings. I am looking to replace the Jandy system with something that has direct connections so I don’t have to modify the piping. My maintenance guy recommended installing a Jandy auto control system, with wifi to control my pool and spa. I would not recommend, and therefore will say no to an auto Jandy control system.
