HomeAdvisor has great access to qualified and seemingly honest contractors. The contractors I used were very professional, communicative, and did good work. In the end, I was very satisfied with the companies I chose for my project. However, there's an onslaught of emails and voice mail. Don't use your primary Email address or phone number as you can not keep up with the volume of messages you'll receive for weeks and weeks. They are relentless! It was impossible for me to respond to all the inquiries.

Shingles on garage and shutters badly stained with mold, dirt and green slime. Shutters appeared to be so bad they would have to be replaced - also some shingles. Power washing and much scrubbing by L. ** was amazing. Everything clean and shutters look like new!

Removing an outdated tv - They returned phone calls quickly. They were courteous. They determined the rate and number of men needed over the phone. They scheduled promptly. They were careful of the furniture inside. They mopped up the entryway due to muddy conditions outside. I will use them again if I need other junk removed.

I asked for several estimates, but it took you to get companies to contact me and even them. Out of 6 I've only heard back from 1. Think I'll go back to Angie's. The people that came out were in the most part very unprofessional. In fact one didn't even have anything to write on or with let alone anyway of measuring the project area. They either didn't want the job or they just didn't care. Out of 4 projects I have going I've had one completed. The other 3 I am still waiting to hear back from the 5 that came out. So far 1 has given me a bid.

Fix all of the loose bricks. Replace treads with stone and regrade the wrong slope on the walk and steps and landing came out very stable and looks attractive. Matches the home very well. I will recommends this contractor to anyone who cares to ask.

HomeAdvisor is great and provides vetted contractors at reasonable prices. The only suggestion for improvement is with the search process and that is to provide an option for method of contact (email only, no phone calls) or at least NOT require a phone number. I prefer NOT to get bombarded with phone calls and that is exactly what happens with the current process.

Easy process to get a needed service done. Choices of different providers were given very quickly and once one was chosen, there was very quick response from them. Technician sent was very helpful, answered questions, cleaned up after his work, and even helped me with cleaning something that wasn't necessary to complete his job.

Glass needed to be replaced because of condensation in-between the double storm windows, they were not sealed correctly when first installed by the home builder. I was told by two other companies that both frames and windows channels would have to be replace. Glass Clinic of Texas, Inc. showed me that did not need to be done; they also show me the difference before and after. I was very impressed with Mike and his crew; he saved me a lot of money. They also gave me a guarantee.

Got me one of the best companies I've ever dealt with. Professional, did a complicated job on time and in budget. Every aspect was clearly explained and well executed. Communication was excellent. Many different sub-contractors had to work together, and everything went exactly as expected.

The info provided to the contractor didn't seem to be done in a good format, as we had to talk through the whole concept on the phone anyway. Unbelievable. I contact HomeAdvisor through a live chat and complain that none of their match pros contact or show up. I specifically indicate in one of messages that it relates to water treatment project. They said they would send email to contractors asking to call me. I said ok but don't send the email to 2 matched pros which a) didn't respond to any emails and b) set up time and don't show up. I specifically asked to indicate only email and not phone. What HomeAdvisor does? Ask matched pros (whom I said not to contact), gives them my phone (which I asked not to do) and contacted pros on the different project. Are you kidding me?

The technician thoroughly checked the furnace, asked for symptoms that possibly caused it to shut down. Started the furnace. Shut down and restarted to assure that it was working. Also checked out the thermostat. Left no mess and gave me assurance it was a fully operational gas furnace.

My garage door spring broke very early in the morning. I looked on HomeAdvisor and within minutes I had 3 different garage door repair companies calling me back and within 30 minutes I had a repair company at my house. 45 minutes later my garage door was repaired and I was able to get my daughter to school on time.

Epic painting excellent and very helpful. They went to paint store 3 times to get a color that went with other walls and did not complain or charge extra. The tile cleaning not as careful cleaning up floor and didn't protect appliances from cleaning spray. When asked to go over another spot they said it would work that the tile grout was damaged.

I had Paramount Fence Builders build a privacy fence and they are very professional and care about the quality of their work. I have never dealt with any company that would be more professional than them. They are quite superior from office personnel to the men who built my fence. It was the best experience I have had contracting work to improve my home. Before they left, they walked me to the fence to ask if I saw any defects in their work. Great guys too, very presentable and courteous.

The two sun tubes were installed on time on budget and done no hassles no delays. The two 14 inch sun tubes really light up our living room. It's almost as bright as our sunroom. They will be coming back to repair and replace the lenses on the other three skylights.

Installed baseboard heater and thermostat. Required running wiring and integration into current electrical panel. Contractor was very experienced and able to work wires into existing construction navigating tight spaces. Finished installation looked seamless and heater and thermostat looked like they were initially built into the house when first built. Complete cleanup completed after the work.

I had home insulation installed in my attic. I've had lots of icicles along the roof and was told that I needed insulation. The young man that came was efficient, very nice and polite and right to work. He wasted no time and would've been done within an hour but he needed to go to the hardware store for supplies. Tree Removal Project - We are very happy with Home Advisor and the choices of professionals for the work needing to be done. All companies gave estimates however, one company refused to give a written estimate until we hired them. He gave a verbal estimate but I requested a written one but never received it. So that is the only issue I had with our project. I will definitely Home Advisor again for our next project.

Picked advertised plumbing company on Wednesday for estimate. Set appointment for estimate on Friday morning at 9am. Company called Friday morning 30 minutes beforehand. Plumber arrived promptly at scheduled time. Examined the gas line showing aboveground corrosion. Advised replacing the a/g piping first which could mean not needing to replace u/g line. Agreed to repair on the spot. Pressure tested the line. Success. U/g line is fine. Saved me $$$. Thank you!

Our furnace went out on a Thursday evening. I immediately went online to my HomeAdvisor account. After plugging in the details of my repair needs into the system several potential heating & cooling specialists showed up in the queue. I recognized A.J. Danboise from a service call many many years ago. I selected them from the menu and went through the process of setting up an appointment. When it came to choosing a day and time the next day, Friday was un-selectable - the website said there were no appointments available. So I tried the next recommended Heating and Cooling company and ran into the same issue, no Friday appointments available. After trying a third company and having the same issue, I called A.J. Danboise directly and spoke directly to their service rep and was able to schedule a service call for early Friday morning as I had wanted.

Tom from the Gas Doctor showed up within 5 minutes of the beginning time frame of 8 to 10 am. After opening the furnace covers, he removed a sensor and cleaned it, replaced it and the furnace worked like new. The Gas Doctor was about $40.00 cheaper than the original local company I called. Nice job.

Called Home Advisor to do some work in my basement and replace a front storm door. Someone by the name John ** came in and received a deposit of $250 to buy materials. I did get a receipt from him, but the next day I called and asked him to send me a formal proposal with his business letterhead. That was at 10:27 AM on Thurs 3/30/2017. His response to me 11:29AM was: **. I did not quite understand the slang and ignored it. At 12:18 PM, I reminded him to send it to my email address. No response from him ever. In the meantime he went to the bank at 12:59PM and cashed the check.

He was very nice, honest, prompt and did excellent work. I would highly recommend him to anyone and would definitely get him back in the future for any garage door needs. He explained everything in detail including estimated cost before hand and explained what he did after he was finished. He also make sure everything was just right before he left. He was very honest about what needed replaced and what was fine not to replace. He also showed my husband exactly how to do routine maintenance on it himself.

It's so helpful to have some place to go that can suggest highly rated contractors, be able to read reviews and make some choices. Easy to find the right worker and read reviews and price. Also like how info is sent to the contractor and lets you pick when you would like to start the job. Will not ever use a big store again or look through Yellow Pages or use the mail flyers that come in the mail.

I had this company remove a standing stockade fence that had been damaged during one of the windy storms. Then they installed a six foot high vinyl coated chain link fenced with privacy slats installed. The project was completed in under a week from the time we had the contract. Anthony was professional on first call and quoted his hourly rate with note of required two man job for roof work on two story house. I sent picture of problem and Anthony stopped by before work was performed to be certain he had the right parts to reattach my misaligned solar panels before starting work. While correcting the 2 problem solar panels, he also checked all the others and tightened all fasteners. Several were loose or stripped from original poor install by Summerlin Energy, now out of business. He also found cracked roof tile and exposed solar hot water heater water line. He caulked these while on roof for the original solar panel fix. Good job and likely saved us serious water leakage and future wind damage to all the solar panels. Thanks to Anthony and team.
