Ward Companies stretched the carpet in 2 rooms to remove the buckle. Work was well done and timely. All aspects of the work were thoroughly explained to us before proceeding on with stretching of the carpet. We would recommend HomeAdvisor and Ward Companies to friends.

The company they recommended was very good and got a 5-star rating. I am glad that I looked into their website. I will use them from now on. I have not used any other company for comparison. I will continue to use HomeAdvisor.

New A/C install with ductwork and multiple masonry work to be provided. Older home needed several areas in the granite stone foundation patched. The two chimneys needed to have voids in the cement between the bricks repaired. The furnace chimney did not have a liner. The cement skirt around the house was in disrepair. The back brick steps needed to be completely replaced and the front steps had voids between the bricks that needed repair.

The recent storm blew down 3 sections of my wood fence and loosened another. Two of the 4x4 posts came right out of the ground (which should not have happened as they were just put in a few years ago). New posts were put in with a water barrier sleeve and the fallen sections put back up.

I've used Angie's List in the past when working on remodeling a few of my rental properties back in 2014/2015. I used their paid services and really didn't think I got the bang for my buck. The professionals they recommended weren't priced competitively and I found better professionals by word of mouth at a fraction of the cost. I was a bit leery about using HomeAdvisor because of my experience on the other site but found myself completely satisfied. I will be returning, not only for my own needs but also with the possibility of listing a new company on their site for services because of the quality care they take to find high-quality professionals to list in the first place.

We have a 1930's duplex. The outlet powering 2 blenders tripped and knocked off the refrigerator. Turcotte came and replaced the old GFI then separated the circuit from the refrigerator. Lots of up and down those stairs. No complaints; did a very good job.

I waited a few weeks. I arranged quotes and chose one contractor to do the work. Once scheduled, the work was completed in one day.

Very nice, quick access to honest pros. Will use over and over instead of other sites that do not vet as much. Very simple to use and fast response from several pros that have experience, insurance etc. I have used them for doors, roofs, windows and now looking for a pool pro to fix my pool pump and simmer.

Tried both Angie's List and Thumbtack searching for a landscape contractor to do our annual 'spring clean up'. I did not hear from the selected Angie's List resource for several days. When I did it was only to learn that they "had contacted me via email immediately to inform me of the scheduling timetable" and that I should "check spam". I never received any email from the company and when I requested they forward that original email, all communication ceased. Thumbtack contractors were also slow to contact me and by the time they offered to visit my property to quote, LEON'S LAWN CARE had already visited and negotiated a fair price to perform the service the next day.

Pipe repair - All the companies who were recommended did respond promptly. I chose the one that best fit my needs and gave a free estimate of the repair cost. I understand the logic of a company wanting to be paid for an estimate but when other companies offer a free estimate, it's hard not to chose those companies, especially when their estimates are fair.

Took being the important word there. The sales lady said that if we didn't accept the leads then we didn't have pay for them. This is so far from the truth. I have disputed the leads process thru multiple channels, proved wrong numbers and fake reviews produced by HomeAdvisor, and while under the dispute process with HomeAdvisor that should be rather quick, but they purposely delayed the process and failed to handle the issues. Said it would take 45 days to resolve the issues. But guess what, they send all accounts to collections within 45 days! So before my issue was resolved, my account was sent to collections. Now they say they can't help me.
