HomeAdvisor quickly found a professional for my need. I am satisfied with the work that has been done.

TV installation, lawn maintenance, glass shower stall installation. Three different contractors all from HomeAdvisor. All were very good.

The first time dealing with HomeAdvisor was looking for someone to service heater for winter. What I received were offers for twice as much as the other companies in the town were doing the job for. The second time trying HomeAdvisor out, I wanted to redo my bathroom/laundry room. I ended up with a person who has a website showing picture but nothing else, no words, no recommendations from other people, and the website lead to dead websites. It took a long time to find him on Angie's list with no license, no insurance and having done no work in several years. Also he has two business that are being taken over by the bank and comments about one of his business from people in town, well you would never go there. Also his website are up for sale, or with extensions going nowhere.

I noticed a water stain on the ceiling after a strong storm. After calling roofers from the phone book ("call us back in 2 weeks..."), I did a search on Google, led me to possible contractor within 20 miles and the number I called led me to HomeAdvisor. Sorry I did not write down the name of the woman I spoke with. She was compassionate (I was pretty upset), assured me the leak would get fixed and explained those contracted with HomeAdvisor were reputable and skilled workers. Less than 48 hours later my roof was fixed. I wish I had business cards to leave all over our little town for HomeAdvisor, this company is on speed dial on my phone.

I was able to find a reliable contractor to fix roof damage in a very timely manner.

I had never heard of HomeAdvisor before I needed this HVAC service, and I still don't know much about them. But I received three contractor calls within minutes of my online inquiry with HomeAdvisor. I was happy with the contractor I chose. And, someone from HomeAdvisor called me later to see how things had gone. I will probably use them again for a minor roof repair I need done.

Install new gas water heater. Job was completed very successful. Only took 2.5 hours. Would recommend them again.

I was referred to three companies and the first one to respond was hired. I feel all companies were good, some were just too busy at this time.

Called and needed some help with my security system. HomeAdvisor gave me several options and even followed up with me to make sure that was able to get in touch with them. If I have any other jobs that need doing I will rely on HomeAdvisor to get me the help I need.

3 out of 4 potential suppliers reached out to me promptly and all were professional - the one we chose had the best price and were excellent to deal with including post install follow-up.

When starting research for a large fence repair project, I used two internet sites for searching service professionals. I contacted two recommended from another site and one suggested from HomeAdvisor to bid. The one that provided the best prices and appeared to have the best ratings came from the HomeAdvisor's recommendation. I selected that company for the job and was very happy with the final project and cost. Thank you HomeAdvisor for connecting me with a contractor who left me a very satisfied customer.

We had trouble getting the job started do to equipment problems and weather. Once the job started it went efficiently.

I've been using HomeAdvisor for years and find the service great for finding the right contractors for my home projects. Whenever I search for information on a project I get referrals within minutes. The only costly experience I've had since using the service is last summer I was looking for a landscape contractor to install pavers, build a barbeque pit and seating wall. I ended up choosing a contractor who subbed out the job (I wasn't aware of this) which resulted in my having to forfeit the seating wall because the contractor basically omitted the seating wall off of the job. He basically ran off with my money and I never saw him again. That left a real bad taste in my gut.

We use HomeAdvisor when we can't seem to get a good recommendation from a friend or neighbor on a home repair. We have been "burned" in the past by using someone we didn't fully check out so we like the honest reviews on HomeAdvisor and their recommendations and guarantees. So far, we've have good luck in using your contractors.

Was having a constant alarm issue all throughout the house with smoke detectors. Changed new batteries 2 weeks ago and still alarms going off on every detector. Purchased and replaced all new smokes in the home following wiring guidelines and still alarms going off. Went online to HomeAdvisor and JCM Electric came immediately and solved issue and two other electric services called immediately. HomeAdvisor is an outstanding website and wonderful resource to homeowners!

Charles is my go to guy from now on for heating cooling as he was fast and worked out a price I could handle. He still made a lot of money but we pay for them to help us. Modern Air was the first to call and a no cost estimate plus late weekend night on cold night. Wow is all I can say, I was grateful.

I searched for a pro on HomeAdvisor. At least 3 contacted me. The one that I hired did an excellent job.

My current alarm system was 10 years old and I was not pleased with the service support side of my alarm system. The monitoring was fine. I conducted an online search for a local service with large customer base monitoring. Within hours of posted what I was looking for, Secure Pro, Mike ** contacted, set up an appointment. Of the seven companies I contacted, five reached out to me, three came by, six bids, and Mike's bid was by far the best all around. For products (2-Gig equipment) and monitoring (Monitronics) met all my requirements and exceeded my expectations.

I signed up with HomeAdvisor Pro in order to obtain relevant leads, people in my area who had contacted HomeAdvisor looking for Architecture or Interior Design services. Within 2 weeks they had sent me 6 bogus leads. The people they had me contact had NO idea what HomeAdvisor was or why I would be calling them. A couple of the people would never answer the phone... It would ring and ring and then go dead. And they sent me a lead in Illinois, when my service area was clearly designated as just areas surrounding Lexington, KY. When I contacted them to request a refund on the bogus lead charges they said that they couldn't and wouldn't do that. Within a month they have charged my credit card over $500. I have disputed the charges with my credit card company and they are going to issue me a refund and take it up with HomeAdvisor in court, if need be. DO NOT use HomeAdvisor!

Found a good company, they called back promptly and I was very satisfied.

Replace two outlets with GFCI, and advised on issue with dishwasher.

I used HomeAdvisor to find and pre-qualify concrete contractors. It saved me significant time and concern over reputation of the contractors. The responses were rapid and useful.

We have had good luck finding businesses to do work on our home. We have used them to hire HVAC replacement pros and roofers and this time a plumber to replace leaky pipes. The workers seemed professional and did a good job. We were happy with the quoted prices and finished work.

My experience with the Squeaky Clean Company was very positive: they responded immediately and came out that same morning. The price was very reasonable and the technician was commendable. However, I've had no luck finding someone to replace drywall. The search only provided one name (Absolute Quality), and the guy keeps cancelling on me.

Reconnected broken leads hidden in back of kitchen fixture without disturbing ceiling drywall, then opened age-frozen ceiling light on front entryway to enable bulb replacement.

HomeAdvisor sent me to three qualified quoters and Tsunami Pressure Washing was the best of the three. They were impressive in that they looked up my address with Google Earth and were able to give me a quote over the phone.

It is very easy to "shop" for services needed for the house.

When I used HomeAdvisor, I did not complete the process of finding a servicer. However, even without completing the process entirely, somehow the servicer received my "report". It ended up pretty good since the service was quick and easy and seems to have been done right - but I am not fully satisfied since it was not clear that my information would be sent to the servicer even if I did not complete the process. I do plan to use HomeAdvisor again in the future.

Two of the contractors identified were LAUGHABLY inept - did not call me (I HAD TO CALL THEM to schedule an estimate), arrived LATE to provide an estimate, NO written estimate, estimates were MUCH HIGHER than the HomeAdvisor suggested amount. A COMPLETE waste of time. Payaso incompetente! BUT, one contractor was a consummate pro - provided complete project details and a reasonable price, did the work admirably. Overall...I was more than satisfied and I will use HomeAdvisor again.

Needed a local plumber for washing machine hose connections to be fixed, due to they were leaking.

I found a competent and professional egress window installation source using HomeAdvisor. It was nice to be able to read reviews from other consumers who had a project similar to mine. It was a quick and easy process. The installer responded to my online inquiry within a couple of hours and my project was completed quickly after that. They had great communication and HomeAdvisor checked on the project along the way too.

My gas oven would not ignite and the repairman came pretty quickly and repaired the igniter after telling me to not touch the stove (gas). I have always had good luck with HomeAdvisor. Getting people to make repairs can be such a challenge, they don't show, don't return calls but I have not had that experience with HomeAdvisor.

Fantastic all around service, will only use this company for future needs.

I won't use Home Advisor again. This is how it works. You log in and specify the project that you need help with, and names of contractors/business pop up. At that point that I figure I get to choose and looked at reviews to decide which contractor I wanted to call. Well, that's not quite how it works. One contractor was someone I'd used in the past and didn't want to use again so I picked another and sent an email request for an appointment. The phone rang five minutes later, and it was the guy I didn't want to use. I asked why he was calling me. And he said he got my name through HomeAdvisor. It seems that contractors get your name/contact information whether you want to use them or not, and they pay HomeAdvisor $15 for each contact.

I found HomeAdvisor just via a search. Several options came available and responded. It was a fluid process and I chose a business which worked out.

What appeared to be a thermostat issue (because that is what I saw) ended up being compressor and electrical issues. Velocity came out within the hour and that was when the electrical issues were found. A second repairman (electrician) came out that same afternoon to assess what would be needed. He came back the next afternoon and did what needed to be done. I am very impressed with the company and especially with these two professionals.

Love the idea of Angie's List, but feel that users should not have to pay. Heard of HomeAdvisor on HGTV and gave it a try. Already hired once already and have appt for quote different work from a different contractor. Great resource to find vetted out resources.

Home Advisor was very helpful.

Contractor thoroughly pressure washed and removed mold and stains off walls and cement and soft washed the asphalt shingle roof and the sealed metal roof over the sunroom as well as the asphalt roofing on two outbuildings. He did a quality job on everything. He worked part of a second day to get the job right for me and assured me if I found anything else needing attention that he would come out and make it right.

My experience with AllStar Electric was very good from start to finish - I would use them again!! I went directly to HomeAdvisor for this project - this is the second company I have used from HomeAdvisor and the reason is because they check company's backgrounds. Make sure they are licensed and bonded and hopefully listed with the BBB!!! HomeAdvisor beats Angie's List by a mile!!!

I had three phone calls from contractors within less than one hour and set up times for them to come and give estimates for a moisture barrier in my garage and for them to check my foundation for moisture or cracks. I interviewed each one when they arrived and had them comment on what they thought needed to be done to correct my problems. After interviewing all three, I hired the one I felt was best qualified. I used this company to find services in the Syracuse, NY area... from Morrisville, NC! AND IT WAS GREAT! We are doing work for cell tower sites in NY, and we have to organize it from NC... yes, NC! We have our crew that was up north doing some things on site, but we're organizing it logistically from NC. I just filled out the information I needed for my scope of work, and I had companies calling me within minutes. HomeAdvisor definitely was a big help and saved us a LOT of headache in finding companies that were thousands of miles away. And the companies were pretty reputable! No trouble at all! On a Sunday morning needed repair to be able to open garage door. After contacting HomeAdvisor, the first caller could not come this day. The second caller came within one hour. The third call came in when the second person was already repairing the door, replacing the single spring for two springs, which is better for such big heavy doors. I was very pleased with the speedy and professional repair, considering a reasonable cost. The first caller called back later to tell that he found someone who could help today; very thoughtful and willing to help, even though there was no need for it anymore. I thought HomeAdvisor was a free service. I was surprised to find that this vendor added the fee that HomeAdvisor charged him for the lead to his hourly rate. This is not a free service. The net result was a 30+ % increase in the hourly rate which I did not find out until after the work was done. This is not a free service when this fee is added to his hourly rate.

The company reviewed the project, supplied a quotation which I believe to be fair and hired them. They were prompt, courteous and because of the scope of the job the 1.5 days for the completion of the project was excellent. I would recommend them.

"TOTALLY USELESS" services; in fact negative comments are only posted IF you use the contractor services... Even if recommended contractor is a no-Show for appointments or do not follow-up or IF contractor plans to use products that are NOT even guaranteed by product manufacturers due to incorrect contractor applications of products.

HomeAdvisor helped me find a great company to fix my dryer.

We used HomeAdvisor to find a washing machine repairman. He came to our house and seemed to thoroughly check out the machine. He told us we needed a part, and he would come back to install it. He requested payment at that time which we did. We ordered the part that was over $200 then tried to call him back. He would not answer his repeated calls and messages. We finally had to find another repairman from another source. He said we did not need that part and fixed the machine without it. Then, with great effort finally told HomeAdvisor about our experience and we were told we would be contacted about our experience and compensated accordingly. Although going through it with them a second time, we were never contacted nor compensated. We will never use HomeAdvisor again.

After a local cleaner could not keep an appointment right before Christmas, I searched online for an alternate source and found HomeAdvisor. I had a quick and easy chat online with a rep, who took my requirements and found a couple of possible providers. One fully matched my requirements and was able to commit to an appointment two days later, the day before Christmas Eve! Without HomeAdvisor, it would not have been the Merry Christmas it turned out to be.

I saw ad on TV for the holidays and decided to try them out. I requested service for a dishwasher install and received a couple companies to choose from. While I was still reviewing the reviews of the companies, one company called me at the same time and I wound up using them that very same day. The other company also called but I had already given the job to the first one that called. It was a breeze using this HomeAdvisor service and will surely use them again! Thanks HomeAdvisor!

He was very thorough and everything was done quickly. He gave an accurate diagnosis on my furnace. I had received an inaccurate diagnosis from another company which would have cost me over a thousand dollars. He also very graciously helped me with my intake vent that needed proper screws into the ceiling for no extra charge. I was extremely pleased with his work!

I went to HomeAdvisor.com at 2am when a furnace company said I had leaks in the heat exchanger. I described the problem. Within minutes, I had 4 appointments set up online for Monday at times I wanted. This was on a Saturday morning. By Monday morning, all appointments were confirmed by phone. Everyone showed up on time, was courteous, made a proposal. I made the decision two days later, after giving each company the opportunity to make a second quote. I selected the company that best matched my requirements. The work was done as soon as possible and finished that same day at the price quoted.

Jamie was on the phone responding to the office notifying him of the service call before I hung up from calling in the service call. Washing machine needed a new mother board, which was fixed the same day.

Both recommended companies were spot on time to the appointment so no unnecessary waiting. They were both able to diagnosis the problem and offer credible recommendations to fix the issues. We went over pricing and they did the jobs quite well. I intend to reuse them in the future if the situation warrants it.

Within moments of submitting my repair need to HomeAdvisor, I promptly received a phone call from Advantage Appliance. I was very pleased to get the phone call so quickly because of the holidays and definitely wanted to have the repair done in order to cook Christmas dinner.

The only item I wished had gone a bit better/faster was getting a hold of a HomeAdvisor agent to assist with quickly locating a contractor who was willing and able to quickly come out and "save the day" with our emergent situation. I recall on an earlier project, I was frankly amazed how wonderful that "feature" was... how helpful. In this instance, with the flooding, requiring both my wife and I to constantly bail water (for over 4 hours)... it would have been very helpful. To be fair, the HomeAdvisor website did immediately generate a listing of possible contractors and I had my wife call until she found a viable worker... a process that took some 20-25 very precious minutes.
