The repairman arrived during the window of time when he said he would arrive and even called before he came. He know exactly how to proceed and went to work promptly. He was careful and safety conscious and when he was finished he cleaned up. I was pleased with the work, although I felt the cost was a little high.

We have used this service several times. Sometimes with great success but others with little success. Not everyone who called actually showed up. We will keep using it as the people who showed up typically did a good job at a reasonable price.

Very nice and professional. The price was reasonable compared to other companies and I would definitely use them again for carpet cleaning and other services. They provided me with a first time discount and prompt estimate. They also provided me with some helpful tips to keep my carpets cleaner in the future. After many phone calls from HomeAdvisor representatives we signed up. It has been a nightmare ever since. We are a landscaping company in Oregon. We were not given one lead that meet our criteria with the exception of one which turned out to be a dud also. The leads have been either out of our service area, or for jobs we do not do, or phone call to potential leads not returned to us. You are immediately charged for a lead and when asked for a credit most often denied. On top of that, we have spent hours on the phone with HomeAdvisor trying to get our credits for inappropriate leads. We have wasted hundreds of dollars and precious time to no avail. What we had to go through to cancel our agreement was a nightmare!

I had a great experience. It was nice to see reviews of other professionals and be able to pick the one with the best review. Not knowing anything about someone is very nerve racking so this service allows selection with a lot more information that you normally would know about.

My house was built in 1971. It has plumbing from 1971 which is very old, drains are cast iron. Tried to change faucets in my washroom but they were frozen on. I couldn't replace them but the plumber was able to put new ones on and a new box around them. Excellent.

There has only been one hitch along the way, and it was understandable. We used HomeAdvisor to hire a septic tank cleaner, and they did not show up. I found out they had run into a problem at the house scheduled before us, but they should have called and let us know. I went on HomeAdvisor, chose another company, and they came right away. Problem solved!

Sliding patio door installed - Kelley told what I needed to get, I followed his directions and got exactly what I wanted for my mom. Kelly said when he would be there to install the door and he was and he completed the job in a timely manner. He did a couple of other minor things and I was very pleased. My mom loves her new door.

Electrical outlet added for above stove microwave/hood combo. Contractor, Kodiak Electric, was scheduled for 8 AM but I received email at 6:45 AM that he was behind schedule. I received a call 10:30 and said he would call in 30 min, was hung up with electrical inspector. He got here around 1:30 and gave me a fair bid, which I accepted, and did the work within the hour. He did a great job and, after we looked my existing electrical over, was able to save me some money with an easier solution than I thought it would be. I would recommend to anyone looking for electrical work.

The providers called me right away and had more than Thumbtack which only had 2 responses but had at least 4-6 on HomeAdvisor. I was able to evaluate each provider and they came out right away to assist.

I signed up with HomeAdvisor. After paying a $350.00 fee they charged more for the leads than originally promised. After complaining about the cost increases they gave me 5 free leads and asked me to stick with them for another month. After that they promised to return my initial fee but refused. This service was basically worthless to my business - the leads were old and/or not vetted. I would not advise any business to sign up with them as I think they are a scam.

If I could rate this service a "0", I would. HomeAdvisor, formerly know as Service Magic, charges for each lead sent to a business; regardless if the lead is accept or not. HA will send these leads to multiple companies besides your own, so there is no guarantee if you lock in the job. My company received 11 leads, which we were all charged for, that resulted in no work. Most of the "leads" never answered their phone or returned messages left by the office. So while our company is having its account drained with false work, HomeAdvisor is filling their pockets. I highly recommended avoiding this company at all costs and save yourself the headache of trying to get your money back.

Had no clue who was going to get the job done for me. HomeAdvisor makes it a little less stressful, knowing you have options to go to when emergencies occur around the house.
