Home Advisor has supplied me with some very good contractors and I will continue to use the service. Vendors always call promptly and I get competitive bids before I decide whom to use. Having pre-screened companies is a major factor in using Home Advisor.

I have used Home Advisor on two occasions and both times were totally satisfied. The people responding to my needs were first of all very quick to call me and secondly very professional. They were reasonably priced and completed the projects quickly. I would highly recommend using Home Advisor.

I had no idea where to look. I found a great company to make it happen. Very happy. The price was lower than I expected, the quality better and the results are a pool I can use year round and a much desired hot tub.

Service Providers; Home Advisor is useless in some situations, (for clarification) meaning maybe the city you are in and/or they do not examine the leads before sending them to you. They charge you a annual fee of 288.00 before you can even start accepting leads. They have a fast talking salesman that sells you the membership annual fee stating that "hundreds of leads in your area". After sign up 6 days later no leads whatsoever, however there is an opportunities tab on their app that connects you to potential customers and you are not charged for the lead unless the potential customer accepts. Accepts, I thought meant accepts your estimate/price, however the furthest from the truth. Accepts only means that they accept to talk/connect with you through the Home Advisor app. If the potential customer accepts to 'ONLY' connect with you to ask questions and/or wants additional information, you are charged for the lead at between 30 and 65.00.

I've visited HomeAdvisor a handful of times for various projects and it's almost always been small businesses or independent contractors. They've stepped things up to recognized contracted and insured businesses. They even have their own "flat fee" and "membership" rates. (Their sales team were a tad pushy which always gives me concern so I went with one of their recommended contractors.) Zero issues with the work done.

It is a simple way to get reliable help. No more Craigslist junkies for me.. And the service is FREE to me. I have some more projects I will be using HomeAdvisor for in the very near future. HomeAdvisor rock for me.

I needed an electrician to fix a malfunctioning light switch which operates an electric fire place. Also wanted an estimate about a future install that will be needed for a green house. Mr. ** responded quickly and was efficient with his time while at our property.

This online service is very aggressive and doesn't leave me alone. I don't like all of the follow-up emails trying to sell me more services. But it did hook me up with a competent local professional. I chose not to purchase a paid subscription. But I still received good information from this site.

The company installed multiple open shelves, two sections of slat wall & hardware, two overhead storage shelves, multiple cubby style storage units with adjustable shelves and a workbench with storage drawers and cabinets with doors. They were dependable and professional and showed up when promised and worked three complete days until the project was done. The finished product exceeded expectations.

I received follow-up call after survey. The advisor wanted to help resolve slow down. It was not needed but appreciated the support. I think the company showed that it does not just get company names to customers but ensures quality of service.

Cyclone Professional Cleaners cleaned and sealed all 500 sq. feet of our tile in about 2 1/2 hours. They were on time and professional and the quote matched the price. I appreciated that the same guy who gave the quote came back to do the work.

I’ve received these three services through Home Advisor Pros and am very satisfied with each service received. They are very diligent and recommend the best Pros. Only one of two companies called me. I am very happy with the one who did the work but now I am getting marketing calls connected to Home Advisor. Not happy about that at all! The calls come from 567-205-3672.

I started by giving you 5 stars, and my only negative was that I received too many emails. Then my note here (which I am amending now for at least the 6th time) was rejected repeatedly. Experience now = 1 star.

My husband started a painting company, started to fill out a HomeAdvisor/Angie's List profile, and then was barraged with calls from salesmen wanting $400.00 per month to finish the account. Because he clicked on other painters' profiles to look at them, he also got a bunch of unsolicited calls from the other painters offering to paint our house. 4 months later we're still getting unsolicited calls. Angie's List was supposed to be all about customers helping customers. Now it has combined with HomeAdvisor and is all about money.

Jimmy with A-Quik Cleaning Services came and stretched the carpet in my home office. He did an excellent job, was quick and professional. Jimmy arrived to do the work just a few minutes early which I was impressed with. Friendly and very prompt in all communications and work that he did. If I have more work on my carpet I will definitely contact Jimmy. I highly recommend Jimmy!

Infrastructure alterations were essential, and the project was completed in 2 days. No complaints. The contact, ACME Inc., was very professional, and was through in detailed explanations for my questions.

Provided a list of contractors for my specific area of need, a 10 foot by 16 foot cedar pergola, that resulted in the ability to make contact for bidding review. Resulted in two qualified contractors and made the review and selection much easier than looking in the newspaper. We signed up with HomeAdvisor Aug 2020. We received many leads. Only one customer booked an appointment. After a week of using HomeAdvisor, we called in to cancel because we knew it was not for us. Three different times we called in to cancel and was told we could not cancel, that "we could only pause the leads for 30 days". On the 4th attempt I was able to get a supervisor on the phone, to which he apologized that we were told this and he cancelled the account.

Will was amazing and such a hard worker! It’s very hard to find people that actually want to work! Such a great guy! I purchased a Murphy bed and thought it would be easy to put together and install. Boy I was wrong! Next time I will call HomeAdvisor first!

Please understand, this is a review of HomeAdvisor itself, not any of its service providers. I booked a moveout house cleaning for Sunday, 1/31/21. Before I booked, I received three phone calls pushing me to do the booking. I made clear that my dates were not flexible. I received multiple confirmations of my booking, and planned the entire move around that confirmed booking. FIFTY FIVE MINUTES before the team was supposed to show up, I received a TEXT that the team wasn't available and it was rescheduled for Tuesday 2/2/21, after the last day to vacate the premises without a holdover. I made every possible attempt at communication, text, email and phone. I finally reached a foreign customer service call center, when I found out that they were NEVER ABLE to arrange a team, despite the fact that they confirmed my booking.

My snow removal was completed on the day I called. I was extremely pleased! Price was very reasonable. I have used Home Advisor before and always been extremely pleased! I would definitely recommend getting any service needs thru their service. It's also nice to know the people they recommend have been screened thru Home Advisor.

I was looking for someone who could repair carpeting in 3 bedrooms where the cats scratched and frayed the carpet at the doorway. Google Search brought me to Home Advisor. After entering my request, the site kept asking me what other projects I was working on or needed to complete, even though I marked now, it asked me again. The same thing happened when filling out a review for the completed carpet repair.

Starting having issues with remote garage door keypad. I tried to reset and the same problem remains. I did some research and decided that garage door unit and the signal it sends out to open the door was too weak to work with keypad. We had a new garage door opener installed. I started filling out the HomeAdvisor questionnaire thinking I'd be able to read reviews first, but got lots of calls instead. I tried to cancel my request for information but it was too late and now I'm trying to unsubscribe from lots of emails.

I liked that I could search for quotes but what I really did not like is the immediate bombarding of phone calls. One vendor called me 6x in a row, texted me and emailed me all in 5 minutes. I did not return the call or attempt to use that vendor. It was not pleasant. I simply asked for quotes, not multiple phone calls.

2 Recliners picked up at store and delivered to my home. Unpacked, assembled and cleaned up. I had 2 recliners they picked up. I was hoping they could be sold or donated as their condition was in fairly good shape. Tamara said she would clean them and see they got a new home. Tamara and Walter were very friendly, service was quick and completed very professionally.

Installation of a electric oven Corey and Glenn were very professional on time and cleaned any mess made. We were so impressed we are looking to hire them for other jobs. Cut out durastone kitchen sink and replace with new sink, and disposal and faucets. Haul away old sink, disposal, faucets. Also had them replace 7 smoke alarms with new 10 yr battery ones and a combo CO/Alarm. Chet purchased all the above and brought with him so I didn't have to go pick up and bring home.

Top Notch did a great job in removing and replacing our walk-in tub/shower. It included shower base, wall system, plumbing that included to shower head and handheld with slide bar. The person who completed the work was efficient. Kept the area clean and cleaned up afterward. He also added materials to keep the work area warm during the evening: (started the shower based in one afternoon and then returned the next morning to complete the project.

We had a 20' tall Podocarpus tree removed from our backyard. It had a 12" diameter and was close to a fence and sprinklers. Nothing was damaged in the removal process. They even ground out the roots. The crew was efficient, friendly and did a great job on the clean-up. Our tree has sliver like leaves and they got them all. They bucked the main stem so we could use it the wood in a fire pit on no burn days.

Fair cost, honest work, glad to get rid of the nuisance tree. They did extra on the clean up. I would recommend this crew if you need a tree removed from your property. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, paid attention to the job at hand.

I hired Handy cleaning from Home Advisor app. They didn't show up and started billing me every month. They refused to cancel service. I had to call my bank to cancel debit card. Dont hire Handy cleaning. They don't even have phone number to call.

Of the 4, 1 showed up, was 4 hours late and left his card, didn’t talk to anyone and didn’t answer his phone or call back. I googled roofing companies and Home Advisor popped up. I clicked on it, was looking around, Premier Restoration came up, I was filled out the form went looking for other companies and Premier called. Made an appointment, he showed up, we talked and I told him to fix it. They showed up on the day they were supposed to, a little late, and the fixed the roof. The guys were great. They fixed it.

Later that night I find out the job wasn't completed because I wasn't there to give him access to the area and he couldn't contact me. Two lies in one statement: I talked to him at 3:10 (time stamped on my iPhone) and my driveway/sidewalk is an open area. No need for the owner to provide access.

The website for Home Advisor has changed. It isn't as user friendly as it once was. It takes too long to get the page that lists the contractors. It only listed one contractor. In the past they listed quite a few.

I had had some estimates and the company I went with I was able to have the work done within a couple of days. The work was quality was excellent. The communication and workmanship were excellent as well. I wouldn't have gone with the company I used if it wasn't for HomeAdvisor.

Tim ** and his assistant removed and replaced a sump pump from my crawl space. The new pump has been there for about a month now and is working fine. The first company, after looking at the Google Reviews that weren't very good and he was wishy-washy about the price, we declined his offer. We have used Home Advisor before to hire a person to fix our refrigerator, (Big mistake... He didn't know how but still charged us ugh! Lesson learned..) and also used them to install a ceiling fan that was lopsided after the install. But the Garage install worked out great!

Home Advisor is outstanding. Always quickly put me in touch with an expect company, that has met my requirements. Last use, was to find an AC company to fix our fan/blower that was constantly running. Ended up replacing board, adding a new thermostat, and bulb for our UV light.
