Installation of a electric oven Corey and Glenn were very professional on time and cleaned any mess made. We were so impressed we are looking to hire them for other jobs. I would recommend them to anyone. Our oven looks awesome when we need something else done we are going to call them first for an estimate before we call anyone else.

Michael the repairman diagnosed and repaired the furnace in less than 1 hr. He was very polite and professional. He wore shoe coverings to protect against dirt on carpet. He explained the problem with the furnace. His rate was very fair.

Home Advisor found us the right handyman who did a very good job for us and who we shall use again and can recommend. The work was finished on time, cleaned up well furniture and floors were protected. Scope of work: seal and recaulk all windows, repair and paint damaged drywall inside the home.

Cut out durastone kitchen sink and replace with new sink, and disposal and faucets. Haul away old sink, disposal, faucets. Also had them replace 7 smoke alarms with new 10 yr battery ones and a combo CO/Alarm. Chet purchased all the above and brought with him so I didn't have to go pick up and bring home.

Top Notch did a great job in removing and replacing our walk-in tub/shower. It included shower base, wall system, plumbing that included to shower head and handheld with slide bar. The person who completed the work was efficient. Kept the area clean and cleaned up afterward. He also added materials to keep the work area warm during the evening: (started the shower based in one afternoon and then returned the next morning to complete the project.

We had a 20' tall Podocarpus tree removed from our backyard. It had a 12" diameter and was close to a fence and sprinklers. Nothing was damaged in the removal process. They even ground out the roots. The crew was efficient, friendly and did a great job on the clean-up. Our tree has sliver like leaves and they got them all. They bucked the main stem so we could use it the wood in a fire pit on no burn days.

I hired Handy cleaning from Home Advisor app. They didn't show up and started billing me every month. They refused to cancel service. I had to call my bank to cancel debit card. Dont hire Handy cleaning. They don't even have phone number to call.

Remove large locust tree from my townhouse back yard as well as to grind the stump and the problematic roots in our lawn and those uplifting our brick patio. Additionally they removed and stacked necessary bricks and also moved our grill and patio furniture from the root and trunk location.

I talked to 4 roofing companies about the leaking roof. Was leaking around a vent. Of the 4, 1 showed up, was 4 hours late and left his card, didn’t talk to anyone and didn’t answer his phone or call back. I googled roofing companies and Home Advisor popped up. I clicked on it, was looking around, Premier Restoration came up, I was filled out the form went looking for other companies and Premier called. Made an appointment, he showed up, we talked and I told him to fix it. They showed up on the day they were supposed to, a little late, and the fixed the roof. The guys were great. They fixed it.

I was on a business trip when a highly forecasted snowstorm hit my area. I googled snow removal in my town, Home Advisor popped up. Fine, I hired them for 1pm, the expected end of the storm. The contractor delayed arrival until 3pm. Fine, I said, simply do the job. Later that night I find out the job wasn't completed because I wasn't there to give him access to the area and he couldn't contact me. Two lies in one statement: I talked to him at 3:10 (time stamped on my iPhone) and my driveway/sidewalk is an open area. No need for the owner to provide access.

The website for Home Advisor has changed. It isn't as user friendly as it once was. It takes too long to get the page that lists the contractors. It only listed one contractor. In the past they listed quite a few.

I looked into getting a thankless and HomeAdvisor responded. And I had companies call me right away. I had had some estimates and the company I went with I was able to have the work done within a couple of days. The work was quality was excellent. The communication and workmanship were excellent as well. I wouldn't have gone with the company I used if it wasn't for HomeAdvisor.

Tim ** and his assistant removed and replaced a sump pump from my crawl space. The new pump has been there for about a month now and is working fine. They did a great job and even removed three or four old sump pumps that others left behind. Tim was friendly, knowledgeable, and also took the time to answer all of my questions about the job. HomeAdvisor was very reliable. Two companies called us (the second of which we hired and they did an outstanding job). The first company, after looking at the Google Reviews that weren't very good and he was wishy-washy about the price, we declined his offer. We have used Home Advisor before to hire a person to fix our refrigerator, (Big mistake... He didn't know how but still charged us ugh! Lesson learned..) and also used them to install a ceiling fan that was lopsided after the install. But the Garage install worked out great!

Home Advisor is outstanding. Always quickly put me in touch with an expect company, that has met my requirements. Last use, was to find an AC company to fix our fan/blower that was constantly running. Ended up replacing board, adding a new thermostat, and bulb for our UV light.

No problems this time with Home Advisor. However you still owe me $100 for a prepaid contract which you never filled. I prepaid for a driveway repaving but your company could not find a pro to complete the job.

I have never had problems with any contractor that I hired from Home Advisor or Angie’s List. I think Home Advisor has gotten too complicated. I liked how Angie’s List would just give me a list of people to call. HA’s cost estimator is useless and their efforts at trying to get you to hire specific people seems intrusive.

Used the Home Advisor to setup a weekly lawn maintenance at an office building. First they didn’t show up. They automatically rescheduled a week later. Then they didn’t perform the service because I was supposedly not “home” in a four story medical office building. They refused to give me my money back. Beware this scam.

I hired a Home Advisor "Pro" yesterday for a project on my home... It was a terrible experience, as the person was at my house for 6 hours (thankfully the work was on the exterior of the home, hanging Christmas lights). I've done this job myself over the past few year, and it is a only a 2.5 - 3 hour project. After 6 hours, of him arguing with his wife (who as he said had to come due to his driver's license being suspended), the two of them swearing profanities, discussing and I how the husband might drive an hour away to get a "FIX" and leave the wife here. Which blow my mind because they know we have outside cameras that record sound and picture (as I found it unusual when they pulled into my driveway that this was one of the first items they commented on when they looked over the house).

The person at home advisors said we had to supply materials and they would supply the name of someone to do the job. HomeAdvisor offered a discount but did not honor it, nor did they answer my email. I asked the company that did the work and they did not know why I did get it. I got an email from home advisor asking how my project is going and I responded, asking about my discount and I got no response.

In doing work with HomeAdvisor I would use only on a job by job basis, do not use the option of paying for a job by letting them pick out someone themselves to come do the work. You as the home owner should let home advisor send you a list of contractors and you pick one and get an estimate to do the job. Realize that the contractor you use has to pay home advisor for the work they perform so it drive up the cost a bit.
