Tree had been struck by lightning and needed an evaluation and plan of care. I wanted to save the tree if at all possible. Everything was done in a professional manner from start to finish. I am extremely satisfied and they were able to save the tree.

Fast and professional service. Dan came when promised and called in advance of his arrival time. A tree trunk fell and broke a rotary sprinkler. New one was installed. I initially contacted HomeAdvisor for wood stove installers. Don replied promptly and on the preview inspection he determined a new wood stove was not needed. He showed me how to preheat the chimney to avoid back draft, Saved me several thousand dollars. Additionally the inspection charge was quite reasonable.

I was locked out of my house due to a broken spring on my garage door. Home Advisor found GaragePros KC, LLC, in my city. Justin from Garage Pros called me, came right away, and had me in my house with an hour and a half. I felt so much better than going through random names on Google.

The combination of Home Advisor and Angi is not seamless or intuitive. For example, clicking on Write a review got me nowhere. I do like assistance choosing a contractor who vetted by multiple people, which is the only reason I would ever use this app again.

Two trees were removed from my rear yard. Premier Tree Service did an excellent job. They removed two trees on Monday July 26, 2021 and removed the stump from the large tree on Tuesday. July 27th. They cleaned the yard upon completion of the removal. The crew was very professional and I would highly recommend this company.

I received an initial solar proposal and pest control. The person recommended as a handyman had a ridiculously high price. He quoted $600 per day. I don’t pay that much to the most highly trained and qualified professionals in some of the most demanding professions.

Recommended us to Taylor made construction LLC. Who was fast to respond gave accurate estimates, came to do the job when they said they would. They were friendly and seemed experienced and knowledgeable in their skills. Also gave good advice and suggestions on maintenance we hired them to regularly come out to maintain our pool. Glad Angi's lost suggested them.

My HomeAdvisor experience was good and I received names of companies to do the job very quickly. The only problem was once I notified them to discontinue emails they did not stop. I don't want to be contacted by them anymore until I contact them with another problem.

Warning red light on Sunny Boy inverter came on--DC not getting converted to AC SDG&E Meter. Ended up being a fuse in the breaker between inverter and meter. Without Solar electricity over a week--tech came within days rather than weeks like other solar repair company quoted, and their initial service call fee was almost half that of the other company. We are very happy and will use this company in the future.

Great job, stairs look and perform great. Should last the life of the house. Would hire Twisted Steel again. All work was custom fabricated. Powder coating the steel added the finishing touch. Owner installed wooden handrails softened the overall look.

Francy's Pool repairs anything swimming pool related. Fixes it right the first time. He was on time and communicates readily via text and phone calls. I have used Francy's Pools twice this year for two different swimming pool issues. Parts' fees were fair and labor cost well worth his expertise and quality. He left the projects clean and neatly configured.

Worked great, had problems getting companies to call me back. But when I used the app, I had a Pro call me within a couple hours. Only problem I have, is the Pro was the 4th on the list in my project details and the app would not bring them up to select as my Pro. It only would offer top 2 or 3. Need to have a way to select as the Pro from the project details area or offer up more than the first 3 options as who to choose as your pro. I had to go through the internet and find them there leave the review. Overall great experience and cost less than I thought it would. Thank you.

Install fiberglass insulation over existing insulation to a depth of 18 inches in the attic to cover bare spots in the attic. Elevation sealed all ducting, did a energy audit on the residence, placed insulation dams, then blew in the required depth of insulation.

A large portion of a very large oak tree came down during a storm leaving the rest of the tree in a severely damaged state. J Evergreen came in, cleaned up what had fallen and took it away and also removed the rest of the existing tree and took that away. If you have a project you must call Forever Green Landscaping and Construction. We wanted a privacy fence and got several estimates. Forever Green Landscaping and Construction gave the best estimate. Mike and his crew have so much experience and suggested things that did not occur to us but which we love. They put in our beautiful privacy fence and built an elevated curved patio with a lower matching curved walkway. They did so much extra work on our hardscape, grading and fixing it for drainage and landscaping, and in the end their estimate was exactly the cost of our project. We are so in love with the quality and value they put into our project, we are over the moon happy with the whole project. We have gained so much usable, beautiful space and all the information and suggestions for planting just shows how thoughtful Forever Green Landscaping and Construction was in making sure that we are happy.

I received several quotes. This made my decision easy and quick as the job needed to be completed quickly as the sale of the residence depended on passing inspection. In the inspection we discovered the main sewer line was of an ancient material called Orangeburg. The company recommended by you that I chose found that the line was also broken in several places. They were able to be on site and do the work the folly day and they returned the landscaping to its original condition.

I booked a job through HomeAdvisor 2 months ago (see my prior review as to how that went, short answer: "meh.") However, after signing up for the project and opting out of any email updates not specific to companies quoting this project, my spam on the associated email account has blown up. Insane amounts of spam delivered in pictures with no links to unsubscribe. And I know it's directly related to my HomeAdvisor interactions because they all make key-word references to my H.A. request. The service they provide is lacking. Now it's become a complete hack show after they sold my email address to hack vendors. I will *never* use their service again - too much fall-out, not enough service.

The first request to HA, they selected the pro and scheduled the appt. They rescheduled 2 times with little notice after I took off to be available. I was hesitant to sign up for HomeAdvisor due to all the negative reviews. I decided to see for myself and paid a 300 fee for leads. Still I was hit with a 1000 statement. When we were explain the program from our rep, they failed to mention even if we do not call or speak to the customer, we still get charge. That was not communicated, decided to call in and dispute but they did not accommodate the request even though that was not express. I disconnect my account and got hit with a 1,000 fee for a service I never used nor made a single dollar for.

Home Advisor has helped me in the past with finding a someone to put on a new roof, and I am very happy with Great Pacific Contractors who did our roof! I would definitely recommend home advisor as well as Great Pacific Contractors.

Removal of old landscape rock, laying barrier and placing fresh river rock around a large pool area. Juan convinced me that the rock would look great and it does. His team was very efficient and did excellent work. Highly recommend Juan and his team for yard and landscape projects.

Fair price for clean windows and very personable man. I would hire him again. Cleaned inside and out and all of the tracks at a very fair price. Have not had windows cleaned before and I have been debating to do so now. I will hire him again to do jobs that I need.

Assisted in selection of Wi Fi cameras, installed and monitored the cameras. Also required interaction with the camera manufactures to resolve connectivity challenges with the wifi server. They worked even on the weekend. When there was defective battery, they changed it out. They will be my go to vendor for all our security camera needs, and we are contracting with them to maintain the system.

Recommended a reputable contractor that attempted to troubleshoot issues online. And when that wasn't enough, they sent out a trained technician to identify and solve the problems. He worked quickly and efficiently and answered all my questions.

Removing items from basement. Almost everything needed to go. Expressed preference for some items to be recycled or given to charity. Ask vendor to look at the basement ahead of time and discuss over the phone later on. (This was helpful since I could not be there until later, so work could start almost upon my arrival. Otherwise it might not have been done during my stay.) Team members had good discretion regarding items to throw out, and several times checked with me first - and I'm very glad that they prevented me from throwing out some items I would have wanted to keep.

Home Advisor did provide me with the name of the service provider who did the work, but out of all the providers they listed, only two responded, and the others I either was never able to get in touch with or never responded to my query. The service provider I used was excellent, but the search was very frustrating and I did not find Home Advisor particularly helpful with it.

The group we choose were more than we expected. They explained to us that our deck because of its age was no longer safe. We did have to wait a little while for the work to start because of where we were on the Q, plus some bad bad weather.

Had 12" blown in insulation above my 2 car garage. No insulation since the house was built in 2007. Expect reduced heat build up from high temps & no insulation. Temp has gotten up to 105° in the garage. The reduced heat build up should help keep the rest of the house cooler.

I was looking for someone to deliver and install mulch. A Google search gave me several options with 800 numbers and when I called all of them (3), they were all to Home Advisor. Finally I gave my project information to Home Advisor and they gave me 4 pro referrals. I called all 4. Two (2) did not provide the service I wanted. One (1) did not return my calls. I did speak with one (1) landscaper and we engaged in text dialog about the project for a couple of weeks, including his availability and price. When I confirmed the quote and asked for a scheduled date, he stopped responding all together. When I asked him for the courtesy of a response whether he could do the job or not, nothing. The landscaper is Hector's Landscaping in Euless, TX.

Did a great job! Dan was very communicative and easy to work with. He thought of ways to improve the project and save us money. He went to a lot of effort to try to get our supplies within a reasonable time.

I received 3-4 calls regarding the job. However, although I was very impressed with the company we hired. The other companies called days later and 1 company showed up and never gave me an estimate. I felt the response time for some of those businesses was too slow.

We had our trees treated for insects and Infections with spray on the foliage and root saturation to help them recover from stress and wilting. The larger tree was bored and injected directly into the interior system for maximum potency of chemicals and nutrients. Also our shrubs were treated and fertilized.

We needed to have our hallway floor repaired as two planks were drifting apart from one another causing a large gap. It was impossible to find anyone in our area who was willing to take on this project. Once I used Home Advisor, I was immediately contacted by this contractor. He came out and was on time, looked at the problem, explained to us how he would repair it, and gave us an estimate. Four days later, he was back at the house, on time again, to repair our floor. He did an excellent job! Very professional, great craftsmanship, and hard workers.

I have been using HomeAdvisor for years, without any problems or issues.... But, when they became "Angie's", What a pathetic joke! They send "contractors", that are inexperienced, rude, and maybe a bit more clueless than those who sent them, (Angie's). Not to mention the level of unprofessionalism, and sometimes blatant disrespect that they guys enter your property with. So far, the last 3 experiences that I've had with Angie's has been below subpar. The last 2 were downright hostile with reps from Angie's lying and misrepresenting information. They sent someone to assemble an open custom closet set. Yuri shows up and not only did he take liberty to stink up bath for 15 mins., he spent 65 mins head scratching and finally explained that installation would be a 2 person requirement. (If you look closely at attached photo, you can see Yuri in background trying to read assembly manual. Unfortunately, Yuri barely speaks/reads english!)

Which is great, but also slightly annoying because I started an online application for yard work but then stopped it because I decided that I wanted to speak to someone. The over the phone representative was excellent. But even though I didn’t complete the online application, I began receiving emails about discounts almost every 2 to 5 minutes for the next hour. And the entire time I was scheduling lawn care with HomeAdvisor over the phone. So, all I’m saying is that HomeAdvisor online, get your stuff together and don’t be so annoying. But, other than all of that noise, HomeAdvisor is excellent.

I was told by a customer service that when a pro come you can decide if you want to go ahead or not. There is not going to be a charged. I called customer services that l am going to discuss it with my hubby and call back.

Home Advisor has consolidated Angie’s List. The primary issue with Home Advisor is they charge you for a service at a very high rate without an on site estimate. Consequently, the repairman doesn’t even see what precisely needs to be done. I had a plumber charge an extra $100 in addition to the initial fee paid to Home Advisor. The last straw for me was when the wall specialist charged $100 + parts because I didn’t have any drywall & he had to go to Lowe's (3 miles round trip) to buy the materials. Communication is very poor with automated responses. The drywall person had the totally wrong information from Home Advisor about the size of the wall to replaced. Furthermore, if you're fortunate enough to speak to a live person they tend to be dumb as stumps. Avoid Home Advisor unless you don’t care about being charged exorbitant rates & getting ripped off.

Contracted HomeAdvisor to paint ceilings at my home. "Contractor" show up with no supplies to paint. We provided the ceiling paint... No rollers, brushes, drop cloths... We offer our supplies to the painter to use. Took the painter through the project, contracted to paint ceilings only (we purchased 5 gallons of ceiling paint). 30 minutes into a 6 hour job, he was paint all of the walls in the master bathroom and bedroom... What!! Yes, ceiling paint on my newly painted bathroom and bedroom walls... Not coverings on my furniture or fixtures. Had to purchase more paint for the ceiling and for the walls (bathroom and bedroom). This was just the beginning of the nightmare...
