Recommended great pro to clean our pool to get the home ready for sale. The pro recommended did not harass us or try and sell us something we didn't need. Pro did an outstanding job and we will most likely keep the service going until the home sells.

I've been very pleased with the recommendations I've been getting from Home Advisor. We have found very reliable companies since using HA. The companies are really seeing the benefit of being listed with HA and I have really appreciated the honest reviews here. I now go to Home Advisor FIRST when I need to find a contractor!

HomeAdvisor submitted two business in my area that made Sunday emergency HVAC repairs. I chose the best reviewed and they were at my home in 30 minutes and did excellent work. I liked the way HomeAdvisor contacted them on my behalf. We will be starting a home remodel in a nearby town soon and I hope HomeAdvisor can make that project easier.

I was happy with the job that was done. The problem with HomeAdvisor, was getting people out to the house to provide an estimate, It was impossible to compare quotes. I had also tried to get someone to evaluate my well problem. I only received a call back from someone who diagnosed over the phone. I ended picking a name out of the phonebook. The idea is very good. I like reading reviews before calling so I would have an idea what to expect.

I recently had a problem with the A/C at my second home. As on previous occasions, I consulted HomeAdvisor. I immediately put out an alert for help and within minutes I had information on three contractors that could help. I called one who was able to do a service call the following day -- a Saturday. Although the work was not completed until Monday, I was satisfied with the work done -- at a reasonable price and without any attempt to add services or parts I did not need. HomeAdvisor is truly responsive with competent contractors. I would recommend them to anybody.

Excellent referral. I was looking for a steam carpet cleaning company and after reading reviews and information about Just Junk It, Yukon, OK, I decided to hire them. That was a great decision, as both my husband and I are extremely happy with the company and the service we received today, 7/03/2017.

Getting my carpet cleaned - I looked up the list and chose a service with a good rating and made the appointment. And the work was scheduled online and completed as agreed upon. No fuss. Very convenient and accurate. This is why I would use HomeAdvisor for my next service needs.

We did new cabinets & breakfast bar including granite counters, microwave, sink, & faucet. It took at 9 days for the project. The workers always showed up, if running late we always got a call. The owner Steve Clarke took the time to make sure things were running smoothly. A lot of things were corrected that were done improperly by the original builder! Very pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend!!!

Crawl space remediation - Sedona was very professional and transparent (no hidden costs). Rather than trying to sell me a gold-plated solution, they were willing to go with the minimum needed and do further remediation later if conditions warranted. Installer was very knowledgeable and courteous, and showed me all the work that was done. I also liked the electronic paperwork, including "before" photos and contract.

I was called quickly and Home Advisor was awesome! I had mulled over this project ( Water Softener) and searched for a good local company and Home Advisor made it simple. I was amazed to get immediate response from several companies and the work was done without a hitch.

Well pump replacement: Home advisor gave me two local businesses that were able to do this job. Both called me within a few minutes of placing my search. The company I hired did an excellent job and the repair was completed quickly at a competitive rate. Home advisor made this much easier than in the past. This was a great experience.

The company was quick to respond and the project went off without a hitch. HomeAdvisor followed up with me to see how the project went and how the company used performed. They really oversee what jobs are done and the quality of jobs. I have now used HomeAdvisor for 3 projects in a very short time and it was a great experience; they made it easy.

Had a good experience. 3 companies called me within an hour once posted my issue that my A/C unit stopped working through the night. All-American plumbing came out to service the unit before lunch and fixed it. Great to have this kind of service on a hot day.

I was very surprised by the response time of the vendors. I had 2 professional to respond within the first hour! The first professional to respond was the one I chose and they completed the job (plumbing - drain clog) within 2 hours. Happy Customer! I'll be using the service again.

Got information on contractors for mold removal. All contractors followed up quickly and quoted in a timely fashion. The contractor we went with was very good and HomeAdvisor followed up with me to make sure the contractors on the site were following through with the quote.

MAJOR tree trimming. Plan ahead! Take down lines and protect yard. Clean up as you go. These guys did a good job! Multiple trips to the recycle center and hard work. Prompt return calls and good communication. I stayed around all day to make sure utility companies removed and reattached lines as quickly as possible.

When my ice maker started leaking water all over the floor, I tried to fix it myself, but wasn't able to. I originally called the service department of a well known department store - they told me they couldn't have a service person out for a week and a half! So, I went through HomeAdvisor for the first time. An excellent repair person was referred - he was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. HomeAdvisor is a great resource for finding excellent service people.

Was not sure about HomeAdvisor, but it's always so overwhelming finding a good recommendation for a service provider. I had the contractor at my house 45 min. later on a Sunday night at no extra charge for a 200.00 repair. Amazing.

He came in and did an accurate measurement and design my closet to my specification. Turned out perfect. The installer came. He was very courteous and helpful and listened to what I wanted and showed me how to get the most usable space out of my closet.

It was 4th of July weekend, I was surprised he even answered his phone. My regular well man told me they would not be back till Wednesday and he didn't know anyone he could recommend. I was pleasantly surprise how smoothly the process (website and query for plumbing services) using the HomeAdvisor tool was. I had 2 replies in timely manner within the first hour. Glad I used the website and to find there was no fee for the referral service.

I used HomeAdvisor to get my rental property ready for the new owner. They were a great resource for my projects I needed done quickly. They even followed up to see if I needed any other assistance with other projects. I would definitely recommend them.

Do not use this company. If you get a "lead" you pay an average of $20 per lead (& so do the multiple others that get the same lead). It doesn't matter if you get the job or if someone is just playing to price shop. It was an act of congress to fire HomeAdvisor. I had to cancel my credit card to stop the charges. If you like to spend $100+ a day for useless leads then you may like this company.

Upon coming downstairs on Saturday morning, I immediately knew the AC on the lower level was not working. I called two AC repair companies and left messages. Both are highly-rated on Yelp. As of Sunday evening, I have not heard from either. By late Sunday morning, I was tired of sweating and my wife was none too pleased with my failure to get an AC repair person on the job since the AC system upstairs cannot handle such hot weather on its own. Rather than research the ratings of more AC repair businesses and making multiple phone calls, I decided to give HomeAdvisor a try.

They recommended a good, qualified plumber in my area that could do the work. I will use them again for home projects.

The company arrived as promised on two separate days only taking an hour to complete each job. This crew had the appropriate equipment in hauling away tree logs and debris (see photos). The company was professional and did an excellent job.

Fast and very courteous. He was here approximately 30 minutes. Before he left he told me there is no warranty on this type of work due to the age of the pipes and the reason for the problem, which is a build up of grease.

The service itself was fine. Helped a lot. The survey at the end was missing some question options; 1) Open cell or closed cell or IDK should have a BOTH option as I had both but there's not selection for that so my answer is inaccurate. Also, no existing insulation, old insulation had to be removed. Should have an option for existing insulation was not removed. This foam essentially smashes down existing fiberglass so it didn't have to be removed, applied over it. Your service is one I will use again. Thank you.

Looking for ac repair (central air) - Very frustrating. I found a company I liked but had to wait to call. I closed my computer and lost the info. When I resubmitted the same information, three new companies were displayed. Now I can't find the original list. I really wanted to use someone on the original list.

I used HomeAdvisor to get referrals for companies who had the credentials and ability to adequately inspect my roof and attic. One of the recommendations was Buckeye Inspection Services and I had a wonderful experience. HomeAdvisor also provided the appointment reminders and confirmation of services to be provided. Their software worked well and I will use them again!

This is my second time using HomeAdvisor. First was insulating my garage and adding to attic. This second time was for garage door opener. In both cases response time from providers was very fast. Work product was great. No complaints. Way easier to use than Angie's List.

Several minor electrical projects - Worker was knowledgeable and friendly, cost of work was reasonable. Homeowner is getting up in years and is no longer comfortable getting up on a ladder. All work done today required getting on a ladder, at least a couple of steps.

I think HomeAdvisor does an excellent overall job. Whenever I've requested a service their vendors have responded to me right away. When I have hired them, I have no complaints and it is clear to me as a customer, that the vendors are very focused on what the customer writes in reviewing their work. This is good. It raises the priority of pleasing the customer in the vendors eyes.

Driveway replacement - The contractor responded quickly to my inquiry, the bid was fair and complete. When a change was requested it was handled without any issues. The work was done very well and the work crew was attentive to the needs of my family and picked up after themselves.

I had difficulty locating a tree trimming service in Lakewood, NY. The company I had used in the past was no longer in business, so HomeAdvisor was just what I needed to find this service in my area. I certainly would use them again if I had another project.

Weeded all gardens where grass had grown up behind my curbing, trimmed two weeping cherry trees, new cedar bark installed where it was thin and/or missing, removed 3 dead shrubs, removed sucker shoots in front tree that had been planted too shallow by another landscaper.

Front Load washer repair - A Plus provided quality service and did it on time. I've included them on my "Must Use" list of service providers. Two other recommendations listed on HomeAdvisor neither showed or called. Remember to use a larger company so you don't lose a few days because of non-service from a less than professional company.

I got two recommendations from HomeAdvisor. The first for trim work (basically carpentry) on two garage doors. Companies were 5-star, but so were the prices. Didn't use either. The recommendation for garage door installation was much better -- company work was also 5-star, price was very good.

Guys was an electrician he said. Had no electrical experience. He was terrible and charged me 400 for nothing. I had to hire a local electrician and have the work done all over again; so a 600$ job cost me 1,000. Do not use these people; they don't know what they are doing. Contacted HomeAdvisor to complete multiple repairs. Successfully hired a handyman to complete multiple repairs. Also found a wonderful painter. Was not successful finding someone to remove some concrete in the yard - referred to a junk hauling service. They came out but couldn't remove it. Otherwise pretty happy with my experiences.

Custom Glass did a great job installing shower door and were fair in the amount they charged to do the work. HomeAdvisor reviews for this company helped me decide to use them. I appreciated being able to see that others had success with this company before I hired them.

We couldn't have hired a better roofing company in all South Florida. They gave an estimate, were on time, very friendly, cleaned up the mess, and did a fantastic job. South Florida had a week of rain which caused severe damage to homes and businesses, in June 2017. We were one of those people who had a lot of roof damage through our living room ceiling. We obtained many quotes and Richard Adams Roofing took care of the problem, hands down.

I found out I had two accounts so I think they have now been combined. Through customer service! I had to contact them about a negative issue and they made note of it and placed it into the file of the recommended pro. We have contacted three HomeAdvisor recommended companies for three different types of work. One just completed termite treatment and he was efficient and did exactly what he told us he would do for the price he quoted. The second is replacing the siding on our house and is doing a wonderful job as well as doing some extra repairs because of the termite damage. We can't wait to see the finished product. The third came yesterday to see if our blinds could be repaired and, when they couldn't, measured for replacement blinds and I expect an estimate for the job today. We've been very pleased with all of the contractors and plan to use HomeAdvisor again in the near future.

We were told that leads were going to be $20 to $30 per lead which ended up being $50 per lead whether they were pertinent to our business or not which unfortunately most were not. Another thing is they would make appointments for me which were not convenient or confirmed by either party since I have my own schedule. When I confronting them regarding the mismatch leads they told me I was not licensed to do landscaping which is untrue since I am a general contractor and have been successfully landscaping for 30 years! Final outcome we did not pay for leads that were not pertinent to our business in turn they sent us a bill for $1,100 and sent us to collections after numerous attempts to get correct leads and to stop scheduling our appointments. Unfortunately we had to settle out of court and have agreed to pay half to save our good name.

Angie's List does a better job but you also have to pay for her services. Sometimes cheap is expensive.

We entered into a contract with DiCaprio Builders from Amsterdam, NY. We were promised cabinets that extended to the ceiling, and crown molding around the room. Cabinets were shorter, and crown molding was put on the cabinets only. We ordered ceramic floor tiles, and they installed 3 different dye lots... told us cabinets did not need hardware, but we had to buy hardware after installation. Did not address transition from new tile floor to living room carpet. Tape used to control dust at doorways peeled off paint and was ignored. 1 mistake after another... Poor planning. Now we're spending more in order to make things right. We do NOT RECOMMEND this company for work.
