Home Advisor gives great recommendations for jobs that require trade professionals such as electricians, plumbing, roofing, etc. They match you to a professional in your area and provide great details as to who the professionals are and approximate cost for their service. For someone like myself who doesn't know much about electrical work, plumbing, etc., AND not having many contacts/friends who know about that stuff either, having a resource like Home Advisor helps me find the right professional at a fair price. They are also good at following up to make sure we are satisfied with the professional used.

I have used Home Advisor in the past for repairs to our rental properties especially when living out of state. The service has always been responsive, and the prices have always been fair. Thank you, for saving me time and effort trying to find a service provider that I can trust.

Furnace stopping coming on with thermostat. You could hear the motor come on but the blower sounded like it was stalling and the blower never engaged to send out heat. Found Home Advisor online and they sent me 3 Pros to choose from. Mr Cool fixed my furnace and I am very happy.

HomeAdvisor set an appointment with a contractor. Then canceled the appointment the next day. Then they said they did not have a pro. Then they gave me 3 names to call 2 of which were over 100 miles away. The third was Infinity but HomeAdvisor said they were not available. I called directly. They came the next day. Did good work but gave me a low ball estimate then doubled my cost on final bill. NOT what I expected from a properly vetted pro with integrity.

I went on HomeAdvisor to look around for quotes on garage doors. Within an hour, I had several very friendly and professional people contacting me to set up a time to meet for a bid. Excellent experience! I'll definitely use again the in the future.

Not having had any experience with local roofers I was faced with just picking a name from the phone book and hoping for the best. Home Advisor helped point me to a local roofer with a good reputation for customer satisfaction. I am happy to say he lived up to his reputation.

This is a great place to find all of the professionals for those jobs that you cannot just search in Google for. I also like the ability to review those professionals and the fact that Home Advisor screens and removes professionals that are listed that do not meet a standard.

If there is a problem, they want to know about it immediately and help to resolve it. They print all reviews, good and bad. Have had quick responses to my inquiries, but some of the contractors are out of the area and that's a waste of time for the contractor and for the person requesting a quote.

I was able to hire a contractor to quickly fix my siding. I was not able to use my initial choice because when I was looking it was evening and he was closed. You sent it out to another contractor who was quickly out to finish the job, but it was slightly confusing to get quotes sent to the contractors I wanted to try.

Experiencing power loss from one particular 20, Amp breaker/circuit to kitchen, stove, microwave, refrigerator and outlets. Issue was quite random and swapping breakers didn't resolve issue. Electrician found problem by pulling all receptacles and examining connections which revealed a nearly broken wire just barely making contact. This problem would sometimes be weeks before it would fail. Ckt. breaker never tripped.

Contractor mounted five external lights on our house, and rewired an outlet. The response from Home Advisor was immediate, the contractor got in touch right away. Total time from contact to finish was five days. The crew was professional and efficient, and the Home Advisor recommendations was excellent.

Have been using HomeAdvisor more than a few times already, and used its recommended service contractors for at least twice for different projects recently. So far we are pleased with HA's recommendations, and the result delivered by the selected contractor. We will definitely consider using it again for future projects.

Remove pine straw and leaves from gutters including those covered. Required ladders to reach all gutters and second ladders to reach the dormers. From start to finish took under three hours. The crew consisted of two people and a vehicle which seemed to be the optimum.

Mario from central plumbing came in and easily unclogged the toilet. He was punctual and completed the work the same day I submitted the request through Home Advisor. The cost is comparable to the work completed. Using Home Advisor for this service is very convenient.

We were more than satisfied with the work we had done. The electrician was punctual, polite, very professional and excellent work ethic. Very neat and tidy as well. Worked very efficiently. TV Wall Install - Easy to use and the installer was fantastic. Highly recommend HomeAdvisor. I also can't say enough good things about Becker Media Design who they recommended. The price was very good. The work was outstanding and Tim is a great guy.

Needed a carpet stretched and tucked to meet new floor. Quick, easy, and met my need. I submitted a request on a Thursday evening and the job was completed the next morning. The person I hired through HomeAdvisor was pleasant and good at his trade. He cleaned before and after the work. I actually plan to hire him within the next couple weeks to do 2 other jobs for me.

In August 2017 I requested estimates for repainting exterior wood eaves, fascia, trim, and garage door, plus pressure washing of Alumawood patio cover. HomeAdvisor provided contact information for only ONE painter, and he not only ignored my written request for first contact by e-mail, but lost patience when I failed to answer my phone. Perhaps HomeAdvisors' pool of San Diego painters felt the job was too small, although it's hard to believe that the $2,000 proposal chosen from three bids from other sources was not worth their time. It's all water under the bridge except for the fact that I feel the HomeAdvisor commercials running on television are extremely misleading!

Very glad that they were chosen by HomeAdvisor because they are great and it is always nice supporting small businesses! Ish was very competitive with his pricing and extremely thorough! Our garbage disposal unit under kitchen sink started making odd noises two weeks ago, we needed replacement. Last time we did this was fifteen years ago and plumber then had major struggle removing old unit, and I had no idea of who to call. I looked online to get some idea of units available and their specs and recommendations, then headed for HomeAdvisor to find an installer. My phone rang just a few seconds after I hit Send on my request, and Tim, from T&M Plumbing, was on the line asking if I wanted him to do the installation that afternoon. I took him up on his offer, I did check his State contractor license info, which I do with everyone that I hire, his info showed no problems. He called me back when he got to supply store so that we could make decision on what unit to purchase, and to let me know more accurate arrival time, then did excellent job. I could not ask for better service from HomeAdvisor and from Tim. Thanks much!

In need of electrician to fix loss of power. Use of HomeAdvisor website was easy and straightforward. Request for service was placed at 9pm and next morning a call was received from a company to do the work. They were at the house by noon. Service by HomeAdvisor and responding company was excellent.

He, conferred with the Rinnai boiler co., troubleshooting the machinery, which resulted in a timely outcome. I was involved in the process, and viewed the problem at hand. The part has been ordered, & a temporary fix is in place. I am confident in saying, that Home Advisor, and the professionals they provide are a benefit to people in need.

I started out looking for an excavation contractor thru HomeAdvisor. The two folks I tried to contact thru them never contacted me, so I reached out to one of them independently, and got the job finished. Very happy with contractor, not so much with HomeAdvisor.

Water was backing up in my basement shower and I thought it was because of a running toilet. After the toilet was checked by a plumber, I was told that I needed my septic tank checked. I spoke with Jake at FlushPro and explained my problem. My septic tank was pumped, the field lines jetted, and a cleanout was installed. Jake and FlushPro did an excellent job, and the price was good. Jake also gave us advice regarding the drainage in our backyard. I would highly recommend this company.

I received leads at 11 at night. Called them back and no answer, then call again the next day again. No answer. Even after several attempts there was no answer. I would request credit and was denied. They would send me leads for jobs I was not qualified for or do. I'm a home inspector not a plumber roofer or electrician. They charged me for the people asking for just pricing. They charged me when the people cancelled, they charged me when the people wouldn't answer. They claim they were advertising for me but when doing a search for my business there was nothing. Total waste of time and money. This was a complete aggravation as a business owner.

I went to the website and HomeAdvisor recommended a plumber who came within a few hours. He was the best plumber I have dealt with in 40 years of home ownership. I could not possibly have been more pleased, and the price was so reasonable compared to competitors that I was very pleasantly surprised. Excellent service all the way around. I was having a problem with an odor coming from one of my bathrooms. The shower in this bath doesn't get used very often. It was explained to me that water must be ran at least once a week to keep the seals moist or it will cause the problem I was having.

Jay from Precise Plumbing, called me within a half hour of my first contact. When he called, we talked about what was happening and what we needed to have done. Within 30 to 45 minutes later, his crew arrive and was getting their equipment out before I opened the side gate. They were very friendly and knew exactly what needed to be done. They were also efficient, did an excellent job fixing the problem, and left within a half hour, the problem was fixed! I have them on our favorite list and will use them in the future when needed.

Finding a Contractor for Ceiling and Drywall Repair - Entered my details and with minutes I had calls from two professionals. Then within days both contractors had visited my house, reviewed the work, and provided estimates. I ultimately one of those two Contractors to complete the job. It has be a great experience!

Water heater - They were fast. Only thing was that they took door apart and said they don't put back the way they found it so door is still not put back. Would like if they take something apart they put it back together the way they found it the best they can.

We encountered a roof leak around a ceiling vent in a bathroom that found water entering the house. HomeAdvisor helped me find a roofer and had it temporarily fixed with a tarp and some applied sealant around two roof penetrations. Pro Construction Services installed a metal double railing on the stairs in my sunroom. He built a support for my mailbox, removed the old support, cemented in the new support, reinstalled the mailbox and painted the support. They replaced the individual wood stakes in railing that is around my front porch. Then they painted the whole railing. David reattached a shutter that had fallen off the house with screws and assured me it will not fall off again. I am very pleased with the work, the customer service and expertise displayed from them.

After a severe wind storm, one of my larger (30'+) trees was in danger of falling on the neighbor's patio cover. I found Early Bird Landscaping on HomeAdvisor and Myke came right away. The price was more than I would have paid normally, but reasonable for short notice and it was still extremely cold and windy (so there was the danger factor). They gave me a great price to trim up the remaining 10+ trees and landscaping and I will definitely be having them do that shortly.

The contractor I chose no longer was a HomeAdvisor client, they referred me to Baja who I skipped over because the rating was not 5.0. On reviewing the ratings they were all 5.0 but I guess you have to have a certain # of reviews to get a 5.0 - this was the only misleading thing that caused me not to look at this vendor 1st. (I would change that or at least explain it). Very happy with vendor and his prices
