Had first floor of home renovationed & hired contractor & electrician for the job. This website was extremely helpful & got me the professionals I needed without the hassle. I also needed a lawn service for my 2 acres of beautiful lawn in which I am particular about. The service I hired couldn't have been better & is a great fit for me. Would highly recommend using this site.

AC replacement - One of the recommended company is good. The others are not even close. So I just hired the good one to have the job done. I wish that I could have more choices. Overall, I am fine with the recommendation.

I usually hire people based on personal recommendations. However, HomeAdvisor has proven reliable with quicker job turnaround and professionals calling me! They will be my number one resource from here out! I'm getting my home repaired from water damage and HomeAdvisor is easing that burden.

How fast and easy the whole process was. Before trying HomeAdvisor I called three contractors from the phone book and none bothered to return my call. The whole process took maybe five minutes and within fifteen minutes I had confirmed appointment.

Very professional, polite and knowledgeable. Dryer Vent Angel went above and beyond in cleaning my son's dryer vent. My son is already planning on calling them again next year to keep the vent clean. The price was totally reasonable and I would recommend this company to anyone needing their service without hesitation.

Arrived on time for the TV antenna install, suggested way to achieve maximum line of sight, worked quickly and explained procedure, set up channels on TV. Worked quickly and neatly. Used part of obsolete satellite antenna, fastened to peak for same price as originally quoted that included purchase of their antenna. Explained the difference between less expensive and more expensive antenna. Installer very efficient and worked quickly.

The plumbing contractors were prompt, professional and competent. In addition, all the workers were friendly and considerate of cleanliness within the house as much as possible in cutting into sheetrock. They had to move heavy furniture and kept everything out of the way as much as possible.

We are very pleased with HomeAdvisor. We received a phone within hours of requesting information. Our air conditioning unit was fixed within 24 hours. We were contacted by a very honest company that did not overcharge or provided services we didn't need. I can't recommend this service enough.

The first use worked great. I was very pleased with the drywall contractor I used and he actually lived in my neighborhood and I had no idea! I have requested a second but barely pushed the submit button before two contractors (corporations, not local) called my phone. I also had one contractor call that was not even listed.

We needed a move out cleaning, house and rugs. Everything was great. I never used Home Advisor before. It made everything so easy. This service is great. Angie and her girls were great. They DID stove, fridge, all the hard things. Wally was wonderful. The carpets were actually cleaner than when we moved in.

Search for electrician - This was our first experience with HomeAdvisor. It was easy to use and very helpful. I would recommend this service to others. The companies that gave estimates were all very promising. The appointments were all kept by the companies and I liked the little email reminders for the appointments.

Door repair: I was quickly guided through the process of describing my problem, and a professional in the field called me immediately. The technician was very knowledgeable and was able to come out that day and took care of what I was afraid would be a serious problem in only a few minutes.

Needed someone to clear an overgrown lot that is owned in another state (MA), we live in VA. KPC Enterprises was one of the first to come through, and they were local to where the lot is. Hired them, pictures sent throughout the process from start to finish, very satisfied and will be using them again.

My experience with HomeAdvisor is far Superior than Angie's List. The Best with using Home Advisor is it is free and you get the best companies with no upfront fee. HomeAdvisor has given companies to choose from and I have used one of Home Advisors companies 5 times now! I will continue to use them because they have checked these companies out and that saves the customer so much time in the long run.

This company repaired leaks in our aging asphalt roof quickly, then the following year replaced it with a metal roof. The men were extremely polite and helpful and went out of their way to do a good job and to clean up after the job was finished. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing a roof repaired or replaced.

I had a very difficult time working through the 10 plus fence contractors in the area, but HomeAdvisor made it much easier to sort through them. With the reviews and immediate connections to the potential contractors, I was able to communicate with each one, request quotes, and start my installation within my schedule and budget.

Of the three separate companies I have hired, two were frauds. One stole a substantial amount of money from me, and was not licensed, as was represented. Another was a termite company that was to tent my home, put up all the tenting material THEN informed me it would cost another $1,000, knowing that if I said no then it would put me two weeks behind in my production schedule. I hold no faith in HomeAdvisor ratings, and clearly they are not screening their "contractors" for even basic information, like whether they are licensed.

We were so very impressed with not only the customer service but the quality of the work. We needed the project completed in a specific amount of time and they were good to their word. After the project was completed, they walked around with us to make sure it was to our satisfaction. They completed the few little things we saw happily. I would definitely recommend Painter1 to my friends and neighbors.

Best of the free services. Why pay? I think after you pick a service provider there should be a way to stop the other providers from continuing to call. Other than that issue this service is right up there with the fee based referral services.

HomeAdvisor quickly found a company to help me with an unfinished deck. Vince and his company finished a deck & painting job that someone else couldn't complete. He also inserted 2 steps off a ramp in order to get to the outdoor faucet. He and his crew completed this project quickly and precisely.

Was able to find experts in particular areas of home repair within my area, that otherwise I couldn't find. I like that they are already background checked and like having reviews from past customers to read. It was a help to have a site that could instantly pull up names of persons/companies that I would otherwise have great difficulties finding.

Chairs, seats, upholstery cleaning - They responded quickly to online request for quote. Another company responded after I set time for this company to come to the house. Another (neither of these 2 with HomeAdvisor) never responded.

Fast, easy to use and got quick response from contractors. Problem diagnosed and repair scheduled for today, 24 hours from diagnoses. Tech helped me on the phone to determine if any warranty would cover this faulty installation of a brand new HVAC unit Sept 2015. He went above and beyond. I found the HomeAdvisor site easy to use, and very responsive to my needs. I have a new relationship now with One Hour Air that I believe will be successful. Zachary **, One Hour Air Tech, was fantastic, professional and knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me on phone with YES and Greenstar in California to try to honor a warranty, that ultimately is non existent.

Needed someone to take care of lawn maintenance on a commercial property located out of town. They gave me three potential vendors that all replied quickly, and two with competing proposals. The third was a company that offered chemical treatments not maintenance.

Paving - The company performed the work in a timely manner and did a good job. They also used sand to fill in the wider cracks in the driveway before sealing them. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for driveway repair.

I love HomeAdvisor and use it as a reference all the time. The only negative when using HomeAdvisor is that I want to see a list of providers when I want to hire someone. Once I have the list I will make my own phone calls. I researched and requested plumbers in my area and then received about a dozen phone calls from other providers well after I selected one and had the problem resolved. If there is a way to request a list rather than have providers call me I just need to know where to select that.

Our water pressure was too low to wash the dishes. Navigated to HomeAdvisor and had two companies respond within 15 minutes of posting the request for appointments. One company came and repaired the pump on the same day. Used this same service to find driveway/asphalt repair. Similar results! Saved over $1000. Incredible response! Recommend you search HomeAdvisor first for every repair or project.

Used the professional referred by HomeAdvisor and was satisfied with the service. Received a call promptly and schedule the service for later that same day. Professional called when he was delayed and showed up at the alternate agreed time.

Added outlet and replaced entire panel. John brought to my attention a dangerous situation. "Safety first" made it easy to decide to replace the panel. There was water in the panel and evidence of rust. The old panel was no longer up to code, since it was installed many years ago. Adding another outlet would have added strain on a questionable old panel. It was time to update.

Mudjacking - I was good to know my contractor was approved by your service. It gave me a level of security that I may not have had if I contacted the company myself. This was the first time I used HomeAdvisor and will use them in the future. I had a great experience with this contractor and would use them again and recommend them to anyone!!

I had custom "made to fit" countertops of granite made for our bath and kitchen remodel. Landmark Granite and Stone did an excellent job. Fantastic response time and turnaround time from placing the order to the countertops installation. Great service, great products and all at reasonable price.

I am very thankful for HomeAdvisor. To date I have used them for two professional projects and have not be disappointed. All the professionals have been very reasonable, courteous, and professional. I would highly recommend these people. They follow up with initial calls and then follow up calls to make sure you are happy.

HVAC: Adams Mechanical was my second opinion and I am very glad I did because it saved me quite a bit of money. Scott was very upfront and honest and explained things to me which being a single, older women was very comforting. I am very pleased and feel like I received quality service for a very reasonable cost. I would highly recommend Adams Mechanical of York County.

My wife was the person that contacted the pool cleaning service. So far I am satisfied with the work.The gentleman and his son showed up on time and were friendly and helpful. They also showed me how to run the water filtration more efficiently and showed me how the gauge on the filtration tank. Works for maximum service.

Driveway replacement - The contractors I interviewed from the list provided by HomeAdvisor were both very competent and well priced. The process was very simple and when one of the three declined the online appointment, I was texted and called by HomeAdvisor to confirm that I was aware. Service above and beyond. Will definitely use HomeAdvisor again when I need help with home projects.

After numerous attempts to get a gutter contractor to come out and give us a quote, I used HomeAdvisor and was thrilled that the first name that popped up had a 4.9 rating and immediately answered my call. We had emailed and called 4 other companies, none of which were offered to us by HomeAdvisor and never heard back from any of them! Great resource to use when hiring a professional!

Concrete work - Driveway, Patio and Sidewalk: Provided several companies to receive bids. I called two from the list and hired one of them. They did an excellent job and were on time and finished within the estimated schedule. Price was comparable to others not in HomeAdvisor.

Broken water heater: Use of this service to find any other professional service is tricky in that the assumption from the user is that the services have similar procedures and this was not always the case. I used the best company for the job partially based upon their prompt response and modern operations. I rejected the others on your list because they failed to respond, or call, or send a quote.

I was treated with respect and he was sympathetic to my needs. He walked me through how he could help me and he told me how long the yard cleanup and tree removal would take. I am a senior citizen and he did not take advantage of me but the city was on my case. They put you on a list and they continue to intimidate. He helped me through this.

They located and repaired the water leak, added squirrel caps to my exhaust vents, and replaced 4 deteriorating ridge vents as they agreed to and insured all waste was removed.They will be my first call if other issues with my roof arise.

I received two referrals for the project I was doing. Both appeared qualified but one I chose was because he was the one doing the work, not just an estimator, and I felt he knew what he was telling me and I was comfortable with his knowledge and the fact he was doing the work. Irrigation repair - Pro I hired was reasonably priced, showed up when he said he would and was personable and quite customer oriented. He replaced valve on my system and made sure all was in good working order before leaving. Also had him trim 2 palm trees, which he did with reasonable cost.

Arrived on time, was prompt and professional. A little on the pricey side, but we would still use him again (drain opening). This residence is around 100 years old, and working on aged and brittle construction is tricky at best.

I had looked online for companies servicing our area going in blindly. I did schedule a few of them to give a free estimate for our irrigation project. Hired a contractor recommended by HomeAdvisor in 06/30/2015 was not satisfied with the result. The contractor, LQ Construction Co. of Newark, N.J. **, initially was to replace front concrete steps and concrete platform plus waterproof foundation which I found out after replacement was not done. The initial contract stated that it was to be done, plus lately I have found out that the concrete platform is breaking up. I have tried to contact the company and was unsuccessful. I was charged $2000 when contract was first issued but was charged an additional $800 for foundation requirement, which I suspected was just a put on. I had to agree because at the time the job was half completed. The amount of money is more than I should of been charged. I am totally unhappy with the company which refuses to honor their contract. I intend to report them to the Better Business Bureau and also to the associated bureaus.

Very easy to find a well-qualified contractor using the HomeAdvisor search. We've been extremely satisfied with our results thus far! The home inspector was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He spent 3 hours and delivered the report the same day! And we are super satisfied with our landscaper. We'll be asking him to help us with a couple other projects that we need done.

Both showed up on time and did quality work at reasonable prices (as I shopped around 3 quotes for every job). In my case both these contractors came in the middle price range and it was money well spent. I would recommend HomeAdvisor and both Clint's Locksmith and Swept Away Chimney cleaners to anyone.

The service was great. Finished product exceeded my expectations. We are having them do more. The person who came out was very neat. There was no mess left when he left. It only took about 2 hours. Everything looked great - it looked like a new tub.

First time user of HomeAdvisor.com for my garage door repair. I'll be back. Recommended service provider confirmed positive reviews. I was contacted within minutes by all 3 prospective providers. I chose no.3 of those listed because they were able to come within an hour and on a Sunday evening. They did a great job. I know the no.1 rated provider was highly recommended and had over 100 verified reviews, but the rapid response of no.3 made the difference and because it was a 3-guys, self-employed start-up, spin-off of no.1, their overhead was lower.

Outdoor spigot and valve was leaking. One of the pipes was rusting. Probably due to old age. The spigot controlled pool filler, misters, and hose line. I was leaving for vacation and was fearful the pipe might be compromised and break. What's more, I didn't want to turn off the valve because it was the pool filler spigot. With temperatures above 118 degrees I could not shut off the water to the pool while gone for fear of too much evaporation. The old rusting copper pipe was removed and replaced with a new copper piece and pvc pipe.

One large tree, very close to my RV had broken limbs that were resting on top of the vehicle, and additional dead limbs that needed to be cut out off the tree. Another large tree on the property needed extensive removal of dead limbs within the tree, and a third tree needed a dead limb removed. The work was done precisely. We're very happy with the work done and we are telling friends and relatives about our experience with Garrett Tree Service.

Online set up for estimate had opening. And then next day sent e-mail that this opening was not open and needed to reschedule. I rescheduled online and then got call saying one was canceled and another scheduled for same day and time. Called contractor directly to straighten out and they said they have been having issues with HomeAdvisor online scheduling.

Found a reasonable repairman in emergency situation. Two brothers with a small, local business responded on a Sunday morning. Fixed the broken spring immediately after having breakfast with their family. Very reasonable charge considering work involved. Asked for an estimate to upgrade my opener to one with a phone app. Will use them again! Very pleased.
