I have used HomeAdvisor several times and will continue to do so. Great resource. Contractors are quick to respond, and HomeAdvisor follows up to make sure the process is going well, which I appreciate. I have to keep typing, which is kind of silly but will do so to make the minimum requirement.

The contractor was timely with an estimate and contact information. After viewing the job he realized the scope of the work and adjusted the estimate down. He did an excellent job (window repair) for a fair price. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Hesitant to use at first but it proved to be a positive experience with hiring professionals to get some work done. I will be utilizing for more items going forward. The businesses contacted for details and meeting within a couple hours of submitting a request. Hired the companies recommended by HomeAdvisor. Very satisfied.

Have contacted HomeAdvisor several times for small jobs. The ease of using their site for getting estimates prior to what I need and then getting several businesses that do the work so I may compare is great. Out of the five (5) times I've used them all the companies have been responsibly priced, had good customer service and completely followed through. Very easy service that provides professionals for small or large projects. They also do all the work for verifying insurance and make sure the business is of top quality.

Good recommendation. I have used HomeAdvisor twice and been pleased with who they sent both times, pest control (Pest Ranger) and electrician (Down To Earth). Both times the technicians were polite, professional, and did a good job. It might have been possible to get the jobs done for less expense, but I am comfortable with the reliability of who they sent.

Suggested 3 companies for the TV mount. The one that responded was quick and efficient. I would recommend HomeAdvisor to find services moving forward. You do have to ask the right questions to the suggested providers but overall the experience is good for me.

Sent 2 contractor names for item only 1 ever called me. The contractor that was sent did quality work, neat, polite and on time. I would recommend again. We did a garage door and an opener and he took all old items away and disposed of and left a sticker if we need any other repairs or additional work.

My referral happened so fast that I barely spent any time with HomeAdvisor. So, I can't really say at this point how good this company is. I plan to work with them again, and gain experience with them. HomeAdvisor was very efficient in helping me. For example, the contractor's phone number did not work. When I reported that to HomeAdvisor, the Cust Serv Rep quickly gave me another phone number. That worked, I made contact with the contractor. A couple of days after that the contractor came out and quickly finished the job. Overall, it went very well with both HomeAdvisor and this experienced good contractor.

NOT user friendly on two counts: the site should have known I had previously signed up and alerted me; notwithstanding that, the site should have held my review while it required me to log in. Kentucky is a hard place to dig holes for fencing. However, pricing by many contractors is inflated, because not all fence holes need to be pounded or require an auger. Find someone honest! It may take longer with the little guy, but in the end, the work is just as good.

I was happy with my HomeAdvisor suggested A/C vendor. When the job was completed and I had posted my 5 star review of the vendor (now twice); I received 3 phone calls from HomeAdvisor. The first two calls I relayed the information that I had posted my review. The third call was yesterday. I didn't know it was a HomeAdvisor call at first. The caller, rushing through the boilerplate statement said it so fast and ignored my several plaintive "Wait, who is this?", "Wait, please speak more slowly"; which was ignored. Finally, I had to yell "Stop Stop" She didn't slow her rapid speech. She hung up on me. Only when I matched the numbers from previous HomeAdvisor calls did I realize it was from HomeAdvisor.

My house is over 40 years old. I had some problems with my bathroom floor that dropped over the years and needed it raised back up and leveled. The work consisted of installing 2 jacks on a concrete foundation and raising a 7 foot steel 4 inch I-beam to raise the floor joist. The work crew was very professional and did a great job.

We ended up using Aqua Pro, who not only gave an estimate range over the phone, not a guaranteed price but something to give us an idea but they even told us how to get it to stop leaking all over our unfortunately carpeted garage/laundry room on a Sunday evening. We had them come out Monday. Anyhow, thankfully we found them from HomeAdvisor, we are very appreciative.

You still have to do your own research because I hired a roofing company that was competitive but had a very bad experience with them. Regardless they are a good resource to find contractors. The only caveat I have regards illegitimate gate crashers who contact the employer before an appointment can be made. There are in business for two years, but let that fool you... but the owner, has been a roofer for over 25 years, they went above and beyond, with customer service, cost and installation and completely within one day.

We had a tree removal project and didn't know who was good in our area. We chose one from their list of suggested companies, and we were very satisfied. Their web process is easy to use and we were kept informed about each step in the process. Our only reservation would be that they only show you companies/individuals who have signed up with them. So you may miss a number of good people not on their list. On the other hand, they only accept people who are certified by them to do a good job, and customer reviews are available. Also they don't charge us for their service (we assume the company does). Overall a positive and useful experience.

Water was leaking from the main floor bathroom into the basement bathroom. The plumber assessed the problem quickly and explained what needed to be done. The leak was the result of an old Delta Monitor cartridge that needed replaced. Also, because the bathroom had no access panel, he needed to install one. He was an excellent communicator. He put in the panel and replaced the old cartridge efficiently.

Excellent job, very accommodating. Needed 2 screens rescreened. Unable to replace as no longer made due to age of windows. Same with patio door. Screens replaced so they would not blow out with high winds as before. Look like new. Same with patio door.

One or two ads a week would be annoying, but four to five just makes me mad. Once in, it's hard to get the "opt out" feature to take. It's a great service, but you're already charging the pros to use it; why slam me with extra email? I know how to find HomeAdvisor and use a search engine.
