Love HomeAdvisor. When I have a project l go to HomeAdvisor. I have never been disappointed. Will use them again and again. I have a lot of people to chose from. They will call you immediately, that I like. Can get estimate and if too high I can make another choice. Never been disappointed. Will recommend them to anyone who has a project no matter how big or small. Always send out well qualified people.

Very professional And felt like talking to a good friend. Very Impressed. They found me the best person for me to accomplish the help I needed. Will use them again when needed. Hope to have as good as experience as I had this time around. Thanks.

Asbestos Abatement- Upon entering my inquiry, I was connected with a qualified contractor. Contractor dispatched an estimator within several hours. By the end of the day I had made arrangements to have the work completed 2 days hence. Work was completed, promised. Excellent job.

Although I have had mixed results with HomeAdvisor pros, I can see that they try to make things better and listen to feedback. It is a great site for getting quick responses from a large number of pros. Not as good for getting people to bid on small jobs and there have been a few contractors who try to use speedy responses to overcharge. I can see the improvement so will continue to use them when I think it is appropriate.

I like to use HomeAdvisor a lot. This is third time I use this website to find right person to finish my project in one year. That website help me finished my project easy and fast. I will use it again when I need.

Door repair - Needed help as quickly as possible. HomeAdvisor presented two companies with recommendations. One was able to come within 30 minutes and completely the job as needed. I has used HomeAdvisor previously and was also pleased with the recommendations that were sent for review and possible hire. Will definitely use their services again.

HA quickly provides a list of contacts who are professional, direct, fast and candid about the project. Also, the contractors seem to value their good ratings from HA yet do not pester customers to supply these ratings. I have lived in various parts of the country and realize some areas have more HA listings than others.

I was using spare time to search for a Tree Service company, and HomeAdvisor somehow took over my search and sent information to me immediately. I did not ask for their choices is companies, but they sent them anyway, and I am glad they did as I would probably put it off again for a while. One of the companies contacted me right away, being Paradise, and made a good deal and did a good job.

Great company to do business with. Our job was a small project but needed to be done. They were responsive and completed the job as promised. No more rainwater pooling up by the front entry. Walkway looks fantastic now!

Gutters cleaning - They were very prompt and did the work in one day. Cleaned up so there was no debris on the lawn. Prime also called and followed up after I called and left a message. Quote me a price and was able to give me a little discount after I said what I was able to pay.

Received responses from 2 of the 3 companies listed. This was my first use of HomeAdvisor and was pleasantly surprised by the prompt service and the credentials of the responders, all with current Virginia tradesman licenses. The "service call" fee was reasonable.

Stump removal done the next day after I called. It took about 2 hours to grind the stump. I had to remove the chips and dirt. I found that not all of the roots were removed so the person had to come back out to finish the job. He was back out an hour after I called and finished the stump removal.

Mount tv to wall - Vendor responded very quickly and the job was done the next day. It was a small job and some of the vendors did not respond but I can understand that because of the size of the project. Vendor I picked was very courteous and professional.

Got email saying the appointment was canceled with company. They called and said it was Holiday weekend and they would still be here the following week. Maybe better coordination between parties is needed for Holiday schedules. Also, I use HomeAdvisor as they came up when I searched for a company. Have always been happy with HomeAdvisor. This has been my third time using this site and I like the fact that they give you good leads to follow. I do find that most of the companies either don't call you or not interested in the Job I want them for.

It was for a garbage disposal replacement - contractor came through with new machine, saving me time on buying it myself. Leaf removal - I had two people contact me about giving me an estimate. One person never got back to me or bothered to tell me he wasn't interested. The person I hired underestimated the job, but I had a feeling he did. So I did pay him the difference because he did a good job.

Completed 3 projects but H.A would only give me credit for 2. I have had a garage built, new siding installed on enclosed porch, new roof installed on enclosed porch & wood doors installed on cabinets in kitchen. I did not use a HA recommended contractor for garage but did use HA contractor for other 2 projects. But because I used same contractor for 2 projects they refuse to give me my reward! Will not be using H.A. in future because of this

I was matched with a plumbing company that directed me to an online appointment scheduler and the company actually called me to confirm and showed up when expected. And did the job superbly.

The furnace stopped working and I asked HomeAdvisor to help me find a technician. They immediately put me in touch with JC & JC HVAC Contractors. Their technician arrived within a half hour. Within less than an hour he had diagnosed, fixed and restarted the furnace. The house was warming up in no time.

Replace Roof and Siding - I entered a description of my project on HomeAdvisor and received a list of qualified contractors in the area. After searching reviews, I had an on-site appointment with a highly-recommended contractor the same day I called. The HomeAdvisor service worked well for me.

I had to cancel a appt with a roofing company that was suppose to come out tomorrow due to a family emergency and the 1st company was able to complete the job in 1/12 hours. I was happy that the 1st appt was able to complete the job in such a short time.

Really liked the first company that we made contact with--first by reviewing their profile online, then talking with them on the phone & meeting them in person for the estimate. Al called me right away and explained his business model which is flat rate pricing. He came out the next day and completed the drain rodding in under an hour. Kitchen faucet installation and gas line estimate - Only one of the two recommended plumbers responded to our inquiry. And they were not 'local". They were over 50 miles away. We went with them anyway. They did have good service and a really great technician. I would still recommend this company as they responded to our initial inquiry in a timely manner and they showed up when they said they would.

Unbelievably easy to use combined with extremely fast responses from the service providers! I went to the site because I did not know the service providers in the area I was moving to. HomeAdvisor proved to be a very valuable resource by providing multiple vendors for the service I was initially interested in. It was so good I stayed on the site and started booking multiple services I was needing to complete before moving in to our new home!

Some of the contractors are very good and have great prices --- some are not qualified, or too expensive. It does get very annoying when you put out a request and get way too many harassing calls --- even after you picked out a person to deal with. You will get zero or 20 calls. The site is good for most jobs like bricklayers, garage door installers, landscaping, etc! But even then --- you have to sort through a lot of frogs.

My experience was fine. I'd like to have spaces to add comments under other. In the project description, the choices were not accurate. I chose repair grout and it was actually replace grout. Same comment for materials: new grout and sealer.

Chimney Repair - My first experience produced a man that I not sure even had a contractor's license. He had very poor work ethics and little knowledge of his craft. I don't know if Hom Advisor has guidelines for the people who advertise on the site. My second contractor was great. I will continue to use HomeAdvisor after I research how or if service providers are vetted.

Excellent to find HELP. The only bad thing is you will get some calls right away from prospective vendors who want to do the job. I suggest you select compare quotes. I have used HomeAdvisor for a long time. Time enough for me to see how I've wasted lots of money over the years with a Home Warranty Company paying them a premium monthly.

We wanted to find people to do a service for us - then we started to get sales calls from companies wanting to install new gutters. We cannot afford new gutters and made it clear that we merely wanting people to clean out the gutters. Now our number is given out without consent. We had also went through another referral service - they said ‘we did not give out your number, it must have been the other company.’ Will think twice before giving HomeAdvisor any information again. We will be getting sales calls through the holidays, likely. Bummer.

On 9 Oct 17, I hired a contractor with a 5 star rating on HomeAdvisor. The contractor did very, very poor work and I tried to post the poor rating, but HomeAdvisor blocked it. Then I called them on 27 Nov 17 to file a complaint and they said the contractor (Cloud Painting) was no longer an authorized agent, even though they posted a comment with a 5 star rating on 9 Nov 17. They said they "released" my comments, but they were never available publicly. If you go to the site, Cloud still has a 5 star rating. I believe that HomeAdvisor is purposefully blocking bad ratings to avoid bad publicity (when they recommend someone and they do poor work) and lawsuits. HomeAdvisor refused to investigate the poor work of Cloud Painting and referred me to BBB. No acceptable... Please assist in investigating HomeAdvisor.
