This was my first experience with Home Advisor. It made things easier all the way around. I was contacted almost immediately, and the work (fixing patio sliding doors and screen doors) was scheduled and finished within 2 weeks. I also had some good recommendations for other projects coming up. Thank you for this service.

Provides us with professional and reliable builders. You provided me with 5 builders names (5 different jobs). One builder sent an employee to quote to remove 3 trees and grind the stumps. When the builder got here to cut the trees, he doubled his price from a prior quote from his employee. I had 2 other quotes that were close to his employee's quote. So hired a different builder.

Technician did a troubleshoot of three of the seven sprinkler head controllers to determine why sprinklers were still spraying water even though the Rain Bird System had been turned off for all zones. The Technician quickly determined the cause, and stated that there was a problem with, 1, possible 2 of the 7 in-ground sprinkler controls. Upon completion of the repair, the Technician turned the Rain Bird system on and everything worked well.

Texted Joseph for help with granite stains. Pleasantly surprised that he called himself the next day. Offered some advise over the phone and wrote me a quick estimate for insurance per my request. Had that night. He was amazing. Unfortunately the granite countertop was beyond repair, but he then offered to come by to try using a product that may help at no cost. He came by within 1 day and tried a product that was able to at least dull the stains. Also left me some to continue to use at no charge. Would highly recommend him. Very experienced and knowledgeable in his trade. Honest and reliable.

Very easy to understand and make contact with companies. Company was prompt and arrived on time as promised. I felt I could trust the recommendation. Had scheduled another company and had to wait 2 weeks for the appointment, and they never showed up and would not return my phone call, so I contacted the company suggested by Home Advisor and they were here the next day.

Several plumbers was not able to locate the clog. Smart Choice was able to locate and partially unblock clog/sewer line w/in an hour. The sewer line belongs to the HOA. I at least had an indoor toilet again!!! Jerry explained everything to me. He also told me what needs done to prevent reoccurrence.

Home Advisor gave me a good overall repair tech. I had some issues with the price going above quote prior to inspecting appliance (Viking refrigerator) and was asked to pay over half upfront on initial intake which was bothersome since I did not know the company. This was not the fault of HA.

R.O. Construction was prompt and professional in the repair of my Asphalt Shingle roof. Rain water was leaking into the interior wall from areas where the roof meets the chimney (a common problem). Inspected surrounded area and advised me on hidden damage. Repaired and replace all the damage at a decent price.

This is the fourth time I have used HomeAdvisor for various projects. Two were home construction repair and maintenance. One was for welding a broken part on my mower deck. I have had cases where the chosen vendor does not review the documents, don't look at what is needed or the address. I have to repeat or clarify what is already in writing. Sometimes they don't even qualify for the job, but because the screening isn't done as well as expected, or that the vendor isn't reading the request for service, I get a useless phone call from someone that can't do the job. Otherwise, the service can be helpful.

The serviceman had the parts to make the fix. He recommended changing the entire cord rather than just the plug to avoid problems with wiring at the point where plug and cord join and thus avoid a fire. Contractors seemed more eager to follow-up with requests for bids than when I try to find them on my own, especially the tree trimmer. Tree trimmers are notorious for not coming out in a timely manner, but not the guy we hired through HomeAdvisor.

This company sent Advance Heat and Air to fix my AC which was blowing hot air. The guy came, opened my AC outside unit, replace a working part with a broken old part and got $205 cash from me and left. He did not give me a receipt because he said he has ran out of the paper. Me thinking that Home Advisor has sent this guy never doubted. But the unit was not fixed. I called Gordon's and they replaced the AC unit motor that had burned because of the wrong part the guy from Advantage Heat and Air replaced and also the part that the guy stool from the unit. I ended up to pay $700 to Gordon's and am happy with their work. I tried to get Home Advisor to remove this guy's name from its list but they refused. They refused to even accept my complain. I will never contact Home Advisor. These people are crooks and all the ratings you see are mostly fake. If you are smart you will see my experience as a free help.

I would like to report that Fixt as a company has failed terribly to satisfy my needs to get plumbing work done in a bathroom at my house. I had a sink and faucet that needed to be installed which also required pulling out and replacing the old sink. After more than a week of back and forth. They scheduled someone to come out and assess. He took pictures and told me that the office would get back to me with a quote.

They reseed and graded my lawn which is 1.1 acre and buried 3 down spouts in one day. They were professional, neat and orderly. I would recommend them to anybody needing landscaping projects. They all did a landscaping package with 52 bushes and did a beautiful job. Its breathtaking.
