HomeAdvisor has been great aid in finding multiple contractors from lawn care, tree removal and painting, would recommend. Easy to use and response has been good in finding multiple contractors for bids etc. HA has also been good about follow-up with suppliers and contractors.

HomeAdvisor recommended several pest control services when I inquired online. I was able to contact the services and comparison shop easily. I would use HomeAdvisor the next time I have a contractor job to do. The HomeAdvisor service was easy to use.

I started out wanting an old mango tree trimmed away from my cable line and pool enclosure. After reviewing the age of the tree and yearly maintenance we chose to have it removed and the stump ground out. Very satisfied.

A neighbor left a note on my door that there was a broken tree at the back of my yard that was only being held up by the branches of another tree and that he had called the power company. They did not come to deal with the tree and I knew there was some bad weather being predicted for several days later. I did a web search and the HomeAdvisor came up. I submitted an inquiry and heard back almost immediately from the recommended vendor, who came the same day, reviewed the job, discussed the options for removal and gave me a quote. This was on a Friday. The job was done the following Monday to my great satisfaction. I will definitely use HomeAdvisor again.

They called within 15 minutes and were here and completed job by 9:00 a.m. I have an electric car and the problem outlet was also on Fios circuit. Was so happy to have this fixed that fast. I also hired them to come back and put a plug in so I can plug electric car without having an extension cord.

Each of the supplier representatives was very personable and knowledgeable. The ratings accurately reflects their customer service levels. The final decision was based on the quotes of the same equipment.

Why would you pay a service to get vendor recommendations? This service is reliable and consumer driven. It appears to be reliable. The only suggestion I would have is that they be more proactive in researching the local trades to add more variety to the search outcomes.

My family used HomeAdvisor to find contractors in CT when we needed to get mom's house ready for sale. We had very good luck. I have had good luck in the past few weeks finding several different contractors to do a number of jobs. I have also had an experience where a company called me 5 times in less than 4 hours asking me to call them back (four calls from the same woman) for an initial contact. Weird, uncomfortable and annoying! Mostly HomeAdvisor has provided access to some really good contractors.

From HomeAdvisor we received a list of reliable moving companies in Lake Zurich. I believe that my contact information was sent to movers as well because just in a few minutes after contacting HomeAdvisor I received a phone call from Illinois Movers/Ryan offering us a free estimate. We scheduled our meeting next morning at 9:30 am. However, at 9:15 am we received a phone call from Ryan informing that he is leaving, will be at our house in 15 minutes, about 10 am(!!!). At 10 we received a Ryan's phone call again advising that he will be at our house in 15 minutes, maybe at 10:30. At this point I asked him if Illinois Movers keep delivery schedules same way as he handles his appointments. At this point Ryan became very rude and I had no choice just tell him go back to his office. My question is - how HomeAdvisor can advise to use Illinois Movers if their representative cannot handle himself professionally?

The hold time was minimal, they provided an excellent choice that we ultimately went with. They listened to my needs, and I've never had a problem with HomeAdvisor, even when services were less than stellar, they responded. I will use them for projects to come in the future. Thanks.

Very responsive, loads of information available. We were able to identify multiple landscape companies to contact. For the most part, they were all punctual, with only a few exceptions. The one we picked was competitive from a pricing standpoint and did a great job.

I used to be an Angie's List subscriber. NO MORE. HomeAdvisor is much better. Website is easier to navigate, I get prompt responses from the contractors and it's free. Plus I don't have Angie's political "bunk" to deal with anymore. Yay!!!

I had gotten a variety of offline recommendations, even some coworkers that moonlight in construction, but none of the quotes were adding up with the published average price of concrete and labor to pour a slab and assemble a pre-fab steel building that was already on-site, with permits already pulled. My wife sent a request on HomeAdvisor, and we had a call within 15 minutes, a site inspection and quote the next day, and they were ready to work before we were. Found a great repair guy for our granite countertops - Service was on time and as quoted. Start to finish w/in two weeks. Clean and tidy after. Might bid on another job in the house. We were very happy with the results. Home Advisor followed up after initial visit to see if we needed any additional assistance on the bid.

Had a kitchen door that would not lock (had 2 locks on door), even after leaning against and attempting to slam shut. Lock had to be repaired, door had to be shaved down due to excessive slamming over time. Door now works like new.

I had a bathroom job done by Joe's Landscape. Hardscape, painting and handyman service. Many things wrong. Bad news I gave him cash. Emailed my complaint. This contractor did not show up on my review page and everything. Too much to list. Emailed me back. They do not read emails anymore. I had someone who did concrete work used the bathroom. Asked me who did the bad job on the bathroom. Ex faucets spinning around 360, floor covering coming up.

PEST SERVICE - HomeAdvisor is my go to for contractor services' recommendations. I have only had great experiences to date and that includes multiple contractors for a variety of services. The fact that you have multiple choices for any given job is a real plus and the review feedback gives you a sense of confidence with your choice.

Next time, if included in price, I would really like weeds killed in and around my mulch, if possible. I would be willing to pay extra. I have recently used HomeAdvisor to search for three kinds of service providers - sprinkler system installation, frameless glass shower door installation, and concrete repair and refinish. I didn't have much luck with the sprinkler system. I made contact with five potential providers. Three of the five came out like they said they would but the other two never showed. Of the three who came out, only one actually submitted a bid. I understand this is very common in the world of lawn care, but it is a mystifying business practice.

The different choices of "pros" listed for Home Advisor in my area were not necessarily "pros". They either did not call back or gave estimates and then never showed for the work. The one group finally came a week later and did a satisfactory job but not as well as I thought they would. Other companies either would not show for estimates or not call back.

The work that was done by Stone River Landscaping far exceeded my expectation. Their estimate was very reasonable for the job that had to be done which was removing a lot of brush and overgrowth. The workmanship was excellent. I would highly recommend Stone River Landscaping.

This was very frustrating in an urgent situation, so I then clicked on Home Advisor's top 5 well pump repair services in our area. Susie called and was very courteous and helpful. After making my appointment on HA, the contractor called me to change the date, because he was not going to be in town on the day I selected. The dates in HA were not correct. I received many emails from HA asking me to engage with them. I even got a marketing phone call from HA. When it was raining the day of the appointment, the contractor said that he had tried to call me through HA (he said that HA did not give my number, which is OK.) but that it did not work. I understand that no-fee services like HA make their money selling data and making new marketing connections, but I feel that the balance between value from HA service and the cost of the marketing is not worth it.

I am very pleased with the outcome of the vendor I selected and thank HomeAdvisor for connecting me. That said, I was in a rush and didn't realize I was not contacting the vendor directly. I was not anticipating the overhead associated with going through a third party. Specifically, I received multiple emails and a phone call about my service. SAID THEY COULDN'T COME BACK FOR A FEW DAYS and charged me half of what Applause Plumbing did to replace pipe and mixer valve and fixed it the next day. I'll use HomeAdvisor for all my needs.

HomeAdvisor referred a Dave Mathews CL for a remodel of a basement. This "contractor/plumber" had no business, contractor or plumbing licensing. We hired him on good faith because HomeAdvisor said they did all background checks and confirmed all state licensing. This person has multiple judgments against him and HomeAdvisor still backed him. He came in and did nothing to code, had no idea what he was doing, told his unlicensed electrician to put a lien on our house if he wanted paid. We are now looking at $15,000 to get our basement to code. He did no fire-blocking and the basement was wired wrong. We've been told by the city inspectors that our basement is now a fire danger.
