Highly recommend... very professional. Upstairs painting, two bedrooms, bath, fall, stairwell and landing (ceilings, walls, all woodwork, doors, etc). Patched all holes etc, kept in constant communication. Price was right for amount of work they did, and they kept us informed on all of it. We couldn't be more please with this company.

Three contractors contacted me. Only two submitted bids. Thus it was a waste of my time with one of them. I would rather get info and contact the contractor instead of them contacting me. Therefore I can call when it is convenient for me and not have missed calls from contractors if I am not available when they call me.

I was extremely stressed out right after receiving my violation notice from The New York Health Department and HomeAdvisor got me rapid response from several contractors.

We were happy with the company that we chose. We requested quotes from 5 companies but only two responded. The fact that we only received the two quotes was a little disappointing. We would definitely use Home Advisor again and recommend it to others.

I signed up on a Friday. There is a 72 hour cancellation policy. I called on Saturday and Sunday, both times I was on hold FOR HOURS and did not reach anyone. I reached out to customer service chat on Monday and was informed that customer service DOES NOT WORK ON WEEKENDS. Apparently, the 72 hour policy includes days the company is not open. The issue is... they will not refund you without speaking to customer service because chat cannot do it. I just want my membership fee back. All of this was due to a customer choosing the wrong task for a job (a small job) but this caused HomeAdvisor to AUTO BILL me a large fee worth more than the job. I could not even reach someone to refund this until Monday.

Gutter cleaning - Came on time, checked with me and went right to work. Did a very good job and cleaned up when finished. Both brothers were very pleasant and informative. They answered any questions I had, let me know a follow up on my old gutter guards was recommended.

I have attempted to use HomeAdvisor for four projects to date. While one project (lawn care) I decided not to use anyone from the site, the other three projects (garage door opener install, repaving asphalt driveway, and sealing basement wall) have provided high quality options, who have been quick to start work and complete projects. Great experience thus far.

Finding a reliable pro to repair roof. We were able to get several estimates, have access to other's experiences with each pro and felt more comfortable that they were supposed to be background checked before we dealt with them. Only comment was that HomeAdvisor was a bit 'pesty' in the beginning before we made our selection and could get work done for a review. Was resolved finally.

Dryer repair - All went well. The technician was on-time, diagnosed the problem quickly and made the repair promptly. The service call was completed in a timely manner. Whenever I need work done to my home I use HomeAdvisor. I had a new roof put on by StormGuard. I found them on HomeAdvisor. They did excellent work. I had new garage doors put on by Crescent City Garage. He did excellent work. I found him on HomeAdvisor. The power wash was the most recent service. He did excellent work. I was given a list of companies to choose from. I picked whom I thought to be the 3 best. One was booked until next Spring, one didn't call back and one did. Fortunately for me the one that called back was pleasant, gave me a decent estimate and I had him do the job. I am very satisfied with the experience although there was some legwork involved.

Two dead Dogwood trees removed, stumps will be taken out next Monday. He did a great job cutting the trees and removing debris. He made an appointment for estimated and came on time and did a great job. Will follow up next week with actual stump removal. Only paid for part of the job until completed next Monday.

I had been sourcing pros from Thumbtack. However, when I listed a job for AC servicing on that site, I had NO responses. How can there not be AC pros? Within 2 minutes of listing my job on HomeAdvisor, I was contacted by a pro who did an excellent job.

This service is supposed to send you qualified handyman. I have used it twice both times being farmed out to service providers named PORCH. The so called professionals that were sent were not professional at all. One couldn't complete the work quoted for 3 hours in 5 hours. He never finished the job quoted. He left me all left over materials to dispose of and I had to sweep up dust debris nails all left behind both inside and out.

I was given 3 companies to contact, however only 1 was interested in the job. I was satisfied with the tree trimmer I selected. I never had to hire a tree trimmer before so I did not know that so many of the companies just do not seem to need the work and never reply to emails or phone calls.

I needed to get rid of an old big two door refrigerator. After making an online inquiry, I was contacted by three pros within an hour and the service was completed within 24 hrs of my call at a reasonable rate. When looking for landscaper had great experience. However when looking for house cleaner was much more problematic. They were way too expensive. I was looking for someone to work 3 hr every 2 weeks at a cost of $15-20 per hr. They wanted $80-90 per hr.

Contacted someone on the list and my call was returned quickly. Someone came out the next day and we negotiated an acceptable price. The carpet was then cleaned within 48 hours. The carpet was spot treated, deep cleaned, and then steam cleaned. It looks pretty good considering the white carpet had not been cleaned in 12 years.

Had someone contact me within a reasonable amount of time to do this work (Bathroom Vanity). Due to Hurricane Harvey and many contractors tied up in the area, understand it was difficult to find many alternatives so it was somewhat limited but still did the job.

I'm happy with the one I found and the job that was done (ripping out front yard and replacing it with sod and adding a brick boundary between the grass and mulch in front of my house).

I have had 2 good experiences. One with concrete repair and another with sewer pipe cleaning. So, I trusted their evaluations of their "pros". I was wrong. I was scammed by Appliance Check Pro for a dishwasher repair. They were unresponsive, after giving them a deposit, left it in disrepair and I had to purchase a new dishwasher. Awful experience. I may never use your service again.

I was looking for a pest control person or company to do a small job for me. I put my information into their database and they matched me up with a so called Pest Control company a few miles out of town. They called me right away and got all my personal information including pictures. They said they would be right out in a day or so. Well after a week I made several attempts to get in contact with them and no response no answer and no text messages. It was a waste of my time and they were possibly scamming me for my personal info! Go figure! Some vetting HomeAdvisor!

All of the various types of businesses that I have hired through HomeAdvisor have been reliable and have done top notch work for us. I am very grateful to have a business such as HomeAdvisor who takes the time to vet the various businesses for us so we can hire with confidence. How else can we know which business is honest? Personally I prefer HomeAdvisor over Angie's List because your information is easier to understand and I find the business people are much more eager to contact us than those on the "List".

I needed advice and a quick recommendation for a company to clean dirty heating and cooling ducts before repainting a newly purchased home. HomeAdvisor helped to educate me about what the job would cost and about what is needed to a good job. They supplied me with a list of rated companies and got me in touch with F&M Services within a couple of minutes. Francisco at F&M answered all my questions and had me set up in a day.

I indicated that my problem was NOT an emergency, but I wanted someone to address my problem ASAP. I selected the next available timeslot (Monday morning), but I didn't get any responses. I would have preferred to say "first available timeframe" and have some response. Luckily two companies called me later in the day to see if they could help... and I ended up working with one of them.

My pool needed resurfacing and I hired Colonial Pool & Spa in Fort Myers, FL. The pool required quite a lot of prep work and their techs took care of all the work that was needed. They did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend this company for all your pool needs.

Hired a crew to power rake and aerate. Crew arrived within specified hours given and we're done in 90 minutes they did a great job of cleaning up and that ruining the lawn. I would hire them again to do the job next year

Plumbing - This was first experience with HomeAdvisor. I was really pleased with the speed I was able to find a pro, and the selection available. Definitely made the process less painful and hooked me up with a great pro! Don't know what else to say, will use HomeAdvisor again.

Termite Treatment - The estimate was very specific. The technician was professional and explained what he was going to do and did it. He explained the warranty program and that I would get an invoice in the mail in a year. I paid by credit card by calling the office.

Within seconds a landscaper called me and set up an appt that week. So stress free! And they did a great job. A/C was last serviced in Feb 17. Wanted it checked out and investigate a potential problem with water overflow. The respondent company was very quick to come, analyze the problems, and accomplish the work. The HomeAdvisor representative was very quick to respond to my request and passed on the info in a very timely manner.

Despite a link that says "change your email address," the link takes you to the login page where there is no way to change your email address. Why don't you simply allow it in a "profile" section or in the email preferences. Taking me to a chat screen where I have to answer countless, irrelevant questions to simply ask someone how to do this is a waste of my time. BTW - I just retired as an e-commerce and digital marketing professional. You should consider hiring me as a consultant. You could use it.

Would be helpful if they can provide hourly rate and the experience level of the contractor they recommend. If I am looking for a handyman to do variety of things, I need to know his hourly/daily labor rate and the estimate of the project cost.

Needed a large tree limb that had broken off removed right away because I am selling the house. Used Home Advisor and found a good person. He came right out, gave me an estimate, and then a couple days later came out with his team and removed the limb.

Tree removal - I received several companies' names who all called me to estimate the job. The company we choose was willing to wait until October when we wanted the work completed. They were very responsive to all our requests for insurance certificate and written quote. They stood by the quote from July until the work was done in October. This was a good experience and we have had experience with many contractors both interior, exterior and yard. In the future I will check with HomeAdvisor before proceeding with hiring another contractor to work on my home, or my elderly mother’s home.

We had to call for service. The A/C handler was leaking water and they has to take the unit apart and clean it all out. They also had to clean the part of the unit that is outside. They were here for an hour or more. They were both very professional and courteous.

In my case the contractor called after a couple of days and I gave him my address to stop and give me a quote. He never showed up. I would think this would be good information for others to know but no one will because my review will not be posted because I did not hire the contractor. I am sure with would also eliminate many reviews of dissatisfied consumers, including that they were way overpriced or not responsive so they were not hired. So be cautious with the HomeAdvisor reviews and keep their review policy in mind when using them. They seem to be skewed toward the contractors.

They came right on time. They removed a large Chinese Elm and several small trees. Ground out all the stumps and then planted Italian Cypress Trees. They did a great job removing all the old trees. They told me I could shut off leads whenever I want but they didn't tell me that the leads automatically turn back on at 1am in the morning 2 days later. Also prepare to pay for bad leads. I would NOT consider that you even read my request based on the contractors that responded.

Septic system pump-out: Even though I posted my message on the Sunday of a holiday weekend, I received a return phone call from the prospective "pro" within minutes of my posting. And the pro couldn't have been more satisfactory: nice, professional, responsible, and with reasonable pricing. (The pro's own website had said, understandably enough, that his office was closed at the time. That's why I approached him through HomeAdvisor. That he was monitoring Home Advisor and responded immediately spoke well for both him and HomeAdvisor, I thought.) We were completely satisfied with the transaction.

I checked with and rescheduled my appointment with the plumber directly as HomeAdvisor had not followed through with the plumber and the appointment HomeAdvisor had said was available was not available with the plumber. I hired Troy with Presidential Inspections because the person living in my father's basement apartment was trying to say the air quality was causing health issues. Since we were wanting to purchase my father's house, we wanted to ensure the air quality was just fine. We have purchased my father's house and hired Presidential Inspections to do a total home inspection so we know if there are any unknown major projects in our future. I would highly recommend Presidential Inspections. They are very professional and thorough in the services they provide.
