I've used Home Adviser a couple of times in the past and have been extremely pleased with the results. Just wish as a customer I had the time to look at the reviews and make a decision as to who I choose to call instead of having the 3 choices call almost immediately. Other than that, it's a great service.

I am very satisfied with this site. I have gotten really great service to date from the pros I chose. I have recommend this site to friends who needed work done. So far, two of them are also very pleased with the results they received.

Shamrock Contracting did a roof repair job on my home. Subject to future weather events, I am fully satisfied with the contractor's work and the hiring experience. The contractor was professional, knowledgeable, responsive and fairly priced, as well as prepared to guarantee his work for a reasonable period of time.

Pictures were taken to show what work needed to be done. Moss was chemically treated and removed from the house and garage. Roof mastic was applied to lifted up shingles. An area by the chimney was caulked. Work was done professionally and in a reasonable time with excellent results.

I needed a new roof, 25 years old and not from storm damage... JET Contracting came and sized up the job, gave me a great price and we got going... I couldn't be happier with both HomeAdvisor and Jet Contracting... Without HomeAdvisor I doubt I would have ever found this company.

I've been quite pleased with the businesses I've dealt with through HomeAdvisor. My only complaint (and I'm sure it's because of my lack of tech savvy) is that SOMETIMES when I'm just BROWSING through company reviews, I wind up getting callbacks from those companies - when it was not my intention to initiate contact. Like I said, probably 'my bad'.

I received an email immediately upon my submitting a request with three licensed contractor names to choose from. I called the toll free number associated with the first contractor listed and customer services representative was very pleasant and connected me right away. I was very satisfied with the whole process and will use again should the next project arise.

I need to get my house power washed on a very short timeline. I was very happy with the HomeAdvisor service and the contractor I found through them. The job was done very quickly and very well. I requested the service on a Saturday, and it was completed by the end of the next day (Sunday). My house looks so much better.

I've used HomeAdvisor for three projects, two of which the contractor was very good to exceptional. The third was ok, but they, the contractor, tended to overpromise what they could deliver as far as project completion schedule and quality of work. However, in spite of the third contractor, I would use HomeAdvisor in the future on home projects.

Very helpful and courteous on the phone. I had a company in mind so I got information on that one and also others. Received email information promptly. Connected me to the company I was suggesting to use and the job got completed that day. Also have recommended companies now for another project.

Good experience with their recommendations. We had used HomeAdvisor in the past for a master bathroom remodel project. This time we used them for three separate exterior projected at our home. We will continue to use them in the future as other projects arise.

I hired that professional and was very pleased with the quality of service and work performed. The cost of services was reasonable. The professional was very knowledgeable and helpful in providing suggestions, advice and options for completing the project.

20/20 Drain Clean was awesome. I clicked submit for appointment and they called in less than 5 minutes and showed up an hour and a half later FROM D.C.!!! Joe unclogged/freed drain in minutes. He even checked the sink in the bathroom without me asking or saying anything!! Would use them and HomeAdvisor again!!!

I worked for Sunspot Solar and HVAC. I was head of operations and lead installer. I was trying to get the company more business and I inquired about their services. They promised us good leads and that they were short with contractors like us in San Diego, California. That install solar and called me back many times. Telling me that they were receiving (3) three calls per day from homeowners wanting solar installed. I even made it very clear that we were a professional company and that we only wanted new installs. We was not interested in fixing other companies' bad installs. They promised me only new installs...

HomeAdvisor is a great resource for finding professionals for all of your home project needs. Love access to reviews and that they can connect you to multiple companies to facilitate obtaining multiple quotes. I will continue to use them in the future as house projects come up. I've found some great professionals on here.

Excellent resource for home maintenance. So far the companies I have hired to do various projects for 2 homes have worked out great. I will continue to use Home Advisor as a resource to find home repair professionals in my area.

My experience with Home Advisor was both easy and pleasant. They were most helpful in recommending specific contractors to meet my needs. The service professional they recommended was indeed the best contractor experience I have ever had.

From the start, the experience was a good one. I got immediate responses to my inquiry on the website and set up the appointment for the next day. Appliance Care of ATL was very flexible in the appointment time and made it easy for us to be home. Once here, the technician was very knowledgeable and explained what he was doing and why it was important. Gave us advice about general maintenance that we should complete to extend the life of the fridge. He showed us how to complete the maintenance. The whole process was easy and customer centered, and I recommend the Home Advisor service based on this experience.

My experience was easy and I had plenty of choices once I submitted my information. Good and professional experience that I would recommend to anyone. I will use them again when or if I need any more work done around my home. They even call you to check on your progress.

Garage door spring replace - The work was done perfectly. The price was way too high I thought. With my senior discount it was $383.00 to replace 2 springs. I made the mistake of not getting at least 3 prices before I had the work done. I should not have used Home Advisor and assumed it would be cheaper.

This was the first time I used this service and was quite pleased. Application was quick and straightforward. I was placed in contact with a plumber within minutes. Work was done the next day, by a great plumber. Very pleased with the service and results. Will start using Home Advisor for future needs.

Outdoor faucet install - Guy was on time and did a good job. The only one that called back. They did waive the $59 service fee, was happy about that but it seems to me the price was a little high for the time he was here. Should work by the hour and not by the job itself. Overall though very pleased.

Clearview Glass was very professional. Chris and Carlo did a fantastic job for us and drove from North Austin late in the afternoon to get mine done. Had 2-6" panels adjacent and they nailed it on the installation. Used foot covers and laid down canvas drop clothes upon entering the house and in the work area. Very professional and trustworthy team.

My kitchen tile floor had gotten so dirty over the years I couldn't make any headway in cleaning it myself. Under rugs was clean-ish but the tile in the middle was awfully dirty. The 2 Garys came in with their cleaning solution and powerful equipment and in just a few hours my floor looked new again. They moved my big appliances and cleaned under and around them too.

NEEDED HORNET REMOVAL BY A PEST CONTROL COMPANY - I found what I needed very quickly. I was very satisfied and I will use this website again. I was looking for a pest control company and being a Saturday I did not think I would get any attention from any... but I did. Aspen Pest Control called me as soon as I put my information in for a quote and he was here in 20 minutes and took care of our problem. This website is very easy to use and has everything you need if you are looking for some a contractor.

All of the background data had been accomplished to include licensing, references, years of experience, etc. This was our first experience and Home Advisor even sent emails checking on our progress, and satisfaction with the client. For some reason once we selected the contractor and notified Home Advisor they did not notify the other contractors that the job was in progress. We received 3 additional contractor calls 5 days after we had selected a contractor.

Concerned about how noisy the refrigerator motor/fan was sounding. Called Home Advisor to have it looked at. Very prompt response; assessed issue efficiently; able to get the parts that day; repair completed in two hrs. I would highly recommend to a friend.

Came home from visiting my husband at the hospital Friday night and no water. Called HomeAdvisor AAA and they scheduled me for 4 pm Sat. to come out with quote of 1100.00. He arrived early, but pulled up into my yard, instead of my driveway, got stuck and we spent an hour trying to get his truck out of my yard. Left a muddy mess for me to clean up at my own expense, time and energy. Finally he worked on pump but didn't get it running due to additional electrical wiring issues. He had to come back Sun. morning. He finally got it fixed but they don't take CCards or Bank cards, only cash or checks. Pump and electrical was fixed for a whopping... 1279.00 plus yard damage!!! Didn't receive any reduction allowance for yard damages, an apology, offer to fix... nothing. So here I am... 67 year old women with husband in hospital, no help to fix my yard and 1279.00 less money in my limited account. But thanks for fixing.

Very happy. No complaints... On time job was repaired and I would use them again. What else can you say there still are honest contractors out there and he is one of them. Plus I would recommend them to anyone, just a class act.

Telford Reynolds Electric, Inc. - I experienced excellent customer service and paid a reasonable cost for the services rendered by this electrical company. In fact, the electrician may have saved me from a potential fire by identifying the problem and fixing it. I highly recommend the company to others.

Installed six LED can lights in a ceiling of our fireplace room. Added a dimmer switch to control the lights. Job was done on time and on budget. I did not feel it was the least expensive way to get the work done, but it was quick and easy, and they did good work.

Maytag washing machine leak was apparently from a small part that had cracked. The repair person was very pleasant and courteous, provided us with some education. He ordered the part, but it was not the right one. He proceeded to remove the cracked piece and used an ordinary copper tube as connector, part must have cost him 1- 2 dollars. So charge was for visit and diagnosis, repair work was very minor and not labor intensive.

The Co. I chose from here was amazing, flawless and brutally honest! We had horrible well water pressure, Nate from All Clear Well Drilling is the real deal. Did and charged me exactly what he said he would with no sudden contractor surprises. I was blown away by this. Really extremely professional.

My experience began with HomeAdvisor after issues were raised in a home refinance that I was doing. I had to have my front porch leveled and I really didn't know where to turn. I have used HomeAdvisor three times now and have been extremely satisfied each time with the professional I chose. Recently I picked S and G Services to clean my gutters. Gus came to give us an estimate and pointed out the soffit and fascia also needed cleaning. We had not even noticed this so in addition to the gutters we had him do the soffit, fascia, and our windows. Then we also wanted the screened porch done and he did them as well. Great job, great price and done in a few hours. I will go back to HomeAdvisor again for any home needs.

HomeAdvisor has always recommended excellent contractors for all my household projects. I will always go to them to find my contractors. They do a fantastic job finding the right person for different jobs for your home. They do a great job making sure your pro knows what they are doing.

This company has a fraudulent practice of getting you to sign up, provide banking information, then bill you for fake leads that in no way can be beneficial. They have a request for refund when the lead is bad, but deny it and bill you anyway. Then send you to collection agencies if you dispute the charges.

Exterminator - They responded within 24 hours re our mouse problem. Their employee, Gene, was friendly, knowledgeable, and sensitive to our humane requests (no poison, no glue traps). Also reasonable. Everything you could wish for. They handle all pest problems, not just rodents.

Overall the companies referred have followed thru, in a couple instances however, the companies have come out for estimates but never followed up with an estimate. This is why I made it 4 not 5 stars. Door repair - The door in question would be opened and drag along the floor, scratching the floor. After the proper review the door problem was reviewed and resolved by cutting off a very small portion of the bottom of door at a correct angle. The door now fully opens wide without any problems.

I came across HomeAdvisor and figured I would try it. I was connected to a local fence guy right away. He ended doing a great job and will now be my future fence guy and handyman in the future. He was kind, courteous, and made the process simple and easy and got it done in a timely manner. If you need any fence work done, Anderfeild Handyman Services is great to work with and doesn't charge outrageous prices like other people do. He's fair and does a fabulous job.

I would use HomeAdvisor in the future if I had a firm project in mind but not just if I were looking for information.

Easy process and very quick response with a great contractor and a great price. The system walks you through a simple process which gets to your needs. A list of contractors or a quick response call from them. As I finished this process the phone rang with a contractor with great reviews on HomeAdvisor and on other sites (Yelp, etc). The work was done in a timely manner and for the agreed upon price and included a nice cleanup.

HomeAdvisor provided me with three options for deck repair. I contacted two for quotes and hired one of them. HomeAdvisor called me for follow up to make sure I was contacted by the suggested contractors and that I was satisfied. This is second time I have used HomeAdvisor and both have gone well.

Asphalt services - I tried all the local sites (Craigslist, Google search etc.) with very little callbacks. With HomeAdvisor I had 3 plus bids within 2-3 days and the job was done quickly and within 2 weeks. Very happy with the quality and the even did a few extra things not on the bid.

Repairman removed a section of PVC pipe/couplings and an open/close valve on water heater, replaced valve and couplings. Let glue dry and tested water flow after repair. Took just over an hour (30 minutes of glue drying time). Repairman was knowledgeable, courteous and arrived within 2 hour time window. Company made follow-up phone call the next day to confirm my satisfaction of the repair.

Put up a new fence around the perimeter of house. Company that did it was GREAT. Would highly recommend Endeavors Fence as they were very professional and very reasonable. They did the job in a day and within two weeks of supplying an estimate.

Two vendors quoted me prices to set traps for roof rats. Hired a third vendor who came to house and did assessment and showed me all the possible places rats could get in and out of the house and gave me estimate to do the work of sealing all those entrances as well as setting traps, so I hired him. Have been pleased with their knowledge and work and they have been very responsive.

I have just had 2 failed attempts at microwave repair due to Home Advisor's inability to provide accurate resources. The Home Advisor rep created an appointment for me with a company, sent me an e-mail to verify the appointment as well as an e-mail to review the company. Because I thought I was all set, I gave them a favorable review. I went out, came home and had an e-mail from the company Home Advisor made the appointment with stating that they don't repair microwaves. I called Home Advisor back, explained my situation, was given a second company, was connected to them only to be told they also do not repair microwaves! I'm done with Home Advisor and will never use their service again. Additionally, I intend to share my experience with my large network of friends.

HomeAdvisor sends you leads which you pay for. Then you contact the lead based on the information (phone number/email) you are given. When you call the phone numbers you are given and the person answers your call and says they never requested your service or called HomeAdvisor you have to ask for a refund from HomeAdvisor. They refuse to give you a credit for providing USELESS information and their excuse is “we don’t have the resources to verify all the information we pass on to you” and “that’s the cost of doing business “. Wow what a great way to screw honest business owners out of money!!!

I would recommend both Bay Area Flow and HomeAdvisor.com. I do wish that I received a few more recommendations so that I could do more price comparisons, but I'm sure that's a function of number of qualified experts and population density of where I live.

1200 sq feet of laminate flooring was installed after demolition and removal of carpet from LR, DR and FM. Great communication with the boss and workers. Kept us informed. However, the flooring has scuff marks from the shoes of installers that look bad in certain light and require lots of elbow grease to remove. My complaint has been ignored.
